Awesome app. The videos are the key for quickly improving your cooking skills and showing you just how to do it.
Michael Anthony alone is worth the price of admission, but there's not enough recipes from he or anybody else yet. I think there's about 300, which is a good start, But I hope they're going to continue to add them regularly. The app itself is very well done and the videos are great!
With so many cooking apps available on the App Store, it is very easy to get overwhelmed and not know what the good ones are. Panna is distinguished by its quality chefs and step-by-step video instructions that make it easy even for an amateur like myself to follow. I am a premium subscriber and am now taking advantage of their new classes. Definitely worth it! Really nice to have it on the Apple TV as well as iOS devices.
The best app ever!!! after downloading New York Times Cooking app I was enjoying so much the good quality and smartness of the explanations and videos, but somehow something was missing, I always wished for more videos and more direct contact with the chefs. Now is solved! I feel again like going to cooking school, in front of the experienced chefs. I hope they keep including more and more of these wonderful recipes!!! Recommend it to anybody! Love it, Live it, Cook it! ❤️
I really love this app because of the videos on how to cook! I've learned a lot about cook!
I have not gotten through my trial period yet but I am impressed with this app. As I get older I find I enjoy cooking. I want to try more recipes from not only my culture but others as well so looking for to interacting with this App on a daily basis.
Love the concept of the app. I paid for the annual subscription but the app constantly fails. It makes me log into it all the time and hangs up a lot. I shouldn't have to log in all the app every time but it fails so often that it's not worth the money. Fix your major bugs and it might be worth using, if it worked regularly.
Who knew you could poach scrambled eggs? Or make them into a pretty custard. I tried this several times - the chefs demonstrating really are insightful about food quality and technique. I love Panna so much, I will continue on past the trial.
I've been a Panna member since they began a few years ago! The cooking, baking, and cocktail videos and lessons are all professional quality video from top chefs that render delicious results. And now in 2017, Panna online added classes! I enrolled in the "Bien Cuit" bread class, and it is phenomenal! It's a great companion to the Bien Cuit book, especially if you're new to bread baking, and, of course, Panna has the class recipes online as well. Looking foreword to watching more classes. Bravo, Panna!
I called apple. I have a subscription through apple. The Apple TV won't allow me to go through. All my other devices work. Apple said all is good on their end, after being on the phone fore an hour. Kinda irked! Paid $40 for the app, and stated it worked on Apple TV, yet won't take my subscription. I do love this app though. Just fix this!
Great app, well written recipes and very professionally done.
Amazing instruction...feedback from chefs and an organization that listens to the user needs. I love this team, the chefs.
I have downloaded many cooking and recipe apps over the years. I think Panna is hands down the best app for foodies, pros and beginners. The chefs that are featured have full bios and they demonstrate their favorite step by step recipes. The chefs features generally have Michelin stars, and many are James Beard Award Winners. The videos and recipes are easy to follow and fun to cook. It also has a great section called expert tips which is key for learning basic techniques. If you don't have this app get it you won't be disappointed.
I use Panna on my cell phone, iPad and laptop, and it helps me enormously every day as I improve my cooking. My family and I use Panna to drive our cooking decisions almost every evening, and the quality of our meals is vastly better than when I relied on a host of other services. I use the professionally done videos to help me throughout the process of preparing each dish. My friends and family have gushed over the desserts I've prepared with Panna's help and I've seen table conversations cease as visiting friends wolf down two or more servings of Panna's "Leek Bread Pudding" and other Panna offerings. I would be very upset if Panna didn't exist and so would my wife who often informs me which Panna cocktail she wants waiting when she returns home from work. I recommend this subscription service to all my friends who take their cooking seriously. It's a great app; please judge it for yourself and see if you agree.
I had done the free trial when it first came out and thought it was a good start but needed work. Recently they put their app on Apple TV so I subscribed. They have come a long way. I have watched quite a few videos and the range and quality is vastly improved. I have been cooking seriously for 50 years and I learn something every time I watch. They have attracted some terrific chefs doing a broad range of cuisines and methods. The production values are first rate. It's like being in the kitchen with the chef taking you step-by-step through the dish. This is a great resource for anyone interested in upping their game.
Seriously this was the worst recipe app I've ever seen. And it's not even free!!!!!
Purchased a one year subscription for $19.99. With a free 30 day trial. After 30 days they deducted the 20$. When I tried to log back in I was denied access. Brought to a page where I could gain access again for one year for $39.99 or 3.99 monthly. This is after they took my $19.99. Had to call iTunes to get my $20 back. Kinda of shady. Recipes are not the best and limited. Save your money.
Recipes look good but there are so many bugs in the app that it's almost impossible to use
First opened and loved this. Some great chef videos. Then started having trouble getting videos to work. Links didn't work. Twenty recipes opened to same pork loin. Then there is the problem of not that many recipes. Not sure I will buy after trial unless assured bugs are fixed
