I’ve been using the Capital one app for about a year and a half. It’s easy to use, easy to make payments, easy to redeem cash back rewards. It’s a great and easy app. I like it way better then my Bank of America app.
I also love the credit wise feature. It has help me go from mid 700’s to over 800 in a little over a year. It helped me understand what would raise my score and how simple patience and keeping balances low would lower my score over time. I loved he simulators. I plan to buy a new car eventually and I want to be over 800 when I do it and I understand once I buy that car my score will go down a bit. I’ve turned down every offer to open a new credit card as I know it would lower my score for a while. I opened a few accounts at the same time I got the app and then I realized that was a mistake and I should not have done them all at once as I really didn’t need to I could have paid cash for one of the items so now I just have to wait for them to fall off as “new accounts” I think will happen in about 5 months and my score will go even higher!

DaJaBailey - Not practical for deposit account holders
From what I hear this app and Capital One as a whole is AMAZING for credit card holders but for those that own deposit accounts this app really isn’t that useful! I’ve been banking with Capital One for years and I can honestly say I miss a lot of the features the Capital One Wallet app used to provide. I’d love the developers of this app to take their deposit account holders into consideration and add features like alerts when a deposit is made to my account as well as alerts when a transaction is made over a certain dollar amount. To be clear, when I say alerts I mean actual notifications to my device sent from the app that appear on my home screen. I don’t want to have to receive alerts via text that is so outdated plus I have enough text threads as it is between work and family. I’m beginning to feel like Capital One isn’t interested in investing in their deposit account holders now or even in the future. I believe this company is more focused and geared towards their credit and lending services. To be fair Chase not only provides these basic notification services to customers but they also have added the ability to view what you spend money on weekly to their app. I do not want to close my accounts and go over to another bank because I truly enjoy banking with Cap. One. I love everything from the customer service all the way down to the debit card design. But I have a feeling I will leave if I don’t see any changes being made.

Capital one app is a convenient way of tracking expenses and making on the spot payments. In our business it was a great card, with multiple users we made payments daily if not twice daily. Apps are made for convenience. However, with the C1 App there is no way to remove draft accounts. Some what Defeats the purpose of having a mobile App. We had someone break into our office and forge checks . Our bank(s) closed our accounts-as we have 3 dba’s. Just as our daily capital one payments were being drafted our accounts were closed. using the Capital one App, we added our new accounts- the only difference in draft account numbers were first 3 digits. The capital one App only shows the last 4 digits. So if you are traveling as we do in our industry, living by our smart phones, you are stuck guessing what account is the correct account to be drafted. Capital one closed our account and refused to reopen it. After 2 years of multiple weekly payments and 10 of thousands spent on the card monthly , our Capital one app failed us by not showing which bank account was which.
Make sure if you change bank accounts you are near a desktop to immediately change draft information because the mobile app will not allow you to delete accounts. We changed over 30 payable accounts due to this forgery nightmare. Capital one is the only card that failed us and closed our account- App is incomplete and still needs work.
QueenB Pepper - E-Bills Don’t show accurate status
The app is generally great with two exceptions (and I can’t find a way to DM these complaints/suggestions)
1. E-bills are useless on the app. The app always indicates 0.00 is due on my e-bills. to see what may be due...even when a bill is overdue. At the exact same time, the website (or Safari) view will show an actual amount due and red warning that the bill is overdue. It has been like this for years. I can’t believe they haven’t fixed this yet. It’s very misleading and caused me to miss bills because I thought the weren’t due yet. (Lazy, yes. But I came to rely on my other online bank with which I also have e-bills because they display my bill status correctly)
2. In older versions of the app I could see many months of historical transactions. Now it’s very limited and sometime you need to look for something older than one month.
CapOne - your are my third bank on these accounts and I’ve gone through NetBank (which had great online bill pay (pre apps), to ING which would not support e-bills at all at first and forced me to another bank for e-bills, and now to you. If you’d get your e-bills better managed in the app, I could finally move away from the other bank. Please fix the e-bill status displays in the app. Look at some of your competitors for best practices.
Super Bears - GO TO MERRICK BANK
Forget these clowns. They treat you like trash when you miss payments (bounce your calls, send to wrong department, act like they don’t know why you’re calling.) I brought the account current and asked to be removed from a hardship program. They respond by saying it happens automatically and that it would happen “sometime before the month is over.” Sure. I get it. I missed payments. Maybe I even missed some calls from them when I didn’t make the payments. But it doesn’t excuse a multi million dollar or billion dollar company from acting like a little 8itch. Anyways, I’m gonna close em eventually, but STAY AWAY. I have MERRICK BANK, for those with less than perfect credit, and I missed payments.s and calls from them too. When I got right, I paid them, didn’t get access to funds, called them and got direct, respectful, honest customer service. And my credit line. Forget cap1, GO TO MERRIXK BANK you’ll thank yourself later. I know this is for the app but people read these and if it helps one person make the right decision, I’m happy I was able to help. I really need the credit I made available by paying cap1, and this is really making things more difficult especially when you’re trying to make things right. So I I felt a need to post a review bc one day this could be you and instead of dealing with a respectful company like MERRICK BANK, you are hungry on a night when you should have money available. Go figure.

For everyday stuff, the app does what it needs to do. For transfers (both paying people and transferring money to external accounts), lord help us all.
Cap 1 has been painfully behind Chase’s curve for nearly a decade now when trying to send money to people. Not only is transferring through Zelle a giant pain (Chase uses them too and it works fine, so why such a bad experience with Cap1?!), trying to know what automatic transfers have been set up is an act of futility. In the past, I could go to the website and see all of the transfers I have set up. The app shows them, but I can’t edit or cancel a series of transfers. Now, their website is just stupid with transfers and doesn’t even show them all even though the app shows them. I can’t cancel an upcoming transfer because it has gotten so far off target for when I actually need the money to appear in another account. So now I have to check back on the website (and risk forgetting) just to cancel a recurring transfer. I’ve had a transfer not show up anywhere, so I scheduled another one only to find out that caused two transfers. I tried to cancel one, they both disappeared. Set up another transfer only for there to be two transfers again. Get your *ish together Cap 1! Stop trying to redesign your website into the stupid boxes and make it functional!
Crystal Pystal - Inaccurate-do not trust!
Never trust this app. They can claim to update often all they want but it’s not true. They are currently in the process of closing ALL branch banks! That includes every ATM attached to those buildings. I travel ALL of the time and switched from Citi to even crappier Cap1 HUGE mistake. They make all these claims about convenience but I’ve had nothin but problems. All I want to do is make Instant transfers from my Cap1 checking account to pay towards my credit card while traveling. I should be able in todays world with all the technology out there to move money from one account to another at the touch of a button. Instantly. If I take out too much cash and do not spend it and decide to put back into a Cap1 ATM before getting onto a plane I shouldn’t have to go to 4 freaking locations only to find NONE of them have working locations AFTER having checked the app and the CapitolOne website Repeatedly to see it said those locations confirmed and stated they had working ATMs that took deposits! Are you kidding me? Why can’t this be updated at the minimum of midnight every night for accuracy? I officially hate Cap1 and want to take my business elsewhere. By the way multiple people and myself passed each other while attempting to frequency other ATMs and branch locations. At first we laughed then we cursed as we passed each other the fourth time. We all were fed up. I spent almost a habla tank of gas doing this today! Absurd.

I really like this app. Love the Credit Wise feature!! It’s given me some awesome tips on growing my credit even more. The app also gives me FREE weekly credit score updates. That’s neat! I am really enjoying my new credit card with Capital One and this cool app. I have called customer service to help me activate my Apple Pay and literally I was connected to someone within 10 secs of my call. I was dreading a long wait... Surprisingly, no wait time, no automated menus, the agent was already aware of the reason to my call and offered me fast, courteous service right on the spot. I am very impressed. I have been a loyal member with AMEX since 2010, but I have got to say, you really surprised me. I’m glad I decided to give you guys a shot. I heard lots of great news on the Clark Howard radio show. I heard a caller discuss a restaurant charge an exorbitant amount for a tip and you guys caught it before he even left the restaurant! THAT is excellent service! I have had that happen before so I could IMMEDIATELY relate. And then it dawned on me... maybe if I would have had Capital One, I could have had a COMPLETELY different experience and never had to go through that nightmare to start with.... So, I am here. Thank you!

Capital One helped me rebuild my credit after I made the mistake of co-signing a vehicle for my boyfriend. He lost his job at one point and I was financially unstable due to being a full time college student to aid him in paying for his motorcycle that he purchased. The voluntary repossession, hurt me for years. I got denied for almost everything I tried to do. Years later, I decided to look into different companies to see which companies offered the best credit card to help me rebuild my credit. Again, I got denied one after another. I was very hopeless when I stumbled across Capital One. I then applied for the secured credit card and paid $99 because it was worth it to help me rebuild my credit and it sure helped! Within 6 months, with responsible use for emergencies only and paying on time. My credit limit went from 300 to 650. After a year, I decided to apply for a second credit card through Capital One, and my credit limit went from 1k to 5k in 6 months, again with responsible use and paying on time. Thank You, Capital One. For helping me rebuild my life, and credit after one mistake I decided to make. Thank you for taking a chance on me. Lesson learned.
Davesusmc - Missing components
First, y’all need to add electronic funds transfer that allows checking account to checking account electronic deposit transfer this eliminates paper check delays in the mail; such as with regular web bill pay, and makes things far more efficient. Please add this feature other banks do, I’ve had this feature before thru other banks, Capital One should have this as big name as it is
Secondly, why can’t I see my recurring transfers or any transfers in pending status and why isn’t there an ability to add or edit as such on the app. I have to go to the website to see and/or edit my transfers, otherwise the app just allows you to make a one time transfer and set one up . Features need to be enhanced to allow display of current transfers n the ability to set up recurring transfers and to edit.
Aside from that, I’m happy with Capital One... another feature that would be nice, would be to add categories to the savings in which you can direct portions of your savings to go, car maintenance in one stash, vacation in another stash, a date night stash, emergency funds stash we could edit each stash to make it our own... this would be fun n convenient, but the first two paragraphs are about business and are high priority on my list as I’m sure it is for others also

I am absolutely appalled 😮 at how Affective fast decision and constructive this bank has been thus far; with all sincerity Opening my 360 checking account was the greatest financial decision I ever made; I always love to be objectively unbiased in my reviews so I will say that in comparison to the other mobile apps I have tried Wells Fargo is much more user-friendly and accurate and I do not just say that because I am used to it I say that because I have tried all of them from Chase bank of America to Wells Fargo to TD now this (Capital One) And without question capital one is ranked number two in terms of mobile app support however in terms of live customer service; it may be easier to contact Wells Fargo 24 seven because of the malleability & fungible Mobile app; at the end of the day I can take solace knowing that there are live representatives who operate with absolute a hundred percent professionalism. I am very pleased thus far as my 360 checking account has gone. I would appreciate the mobile app being a little bit more scalable in terms of its functionality however I am not one to complain just pointing out the obvious.

We had identity theft and decided to find a new bank. Very skeptical about the small number of brick and mortar and none in less than 8 hour drive from us but the customer service that we received from the very beginning won us over. Not once did anyone make us feel that our tiny paychecks were not worth their time. Capital One 360 has made us feel like we are catered to like millionaires and ALWAYS easy, fast, affordable banking with AMAZING customer service. I can’t remember the last time I have been impressed by a bank let alone the app, customer service, and quality of products and services offered in one place. We even got our car financed with them and again online using auto navigator. Now a savings account that is super easy to take from checking and put into savings. It’s so easy and the app is the most user friendly app that I’ve ever used. I’m so happy with the company and the app. I definitely recommend. I also recommend visiting one of their “cafes” we loved it and can’t wait for more to open closer to us!!!! Thank you so much Capital One for making our banking needs stress free!!

I usually do not have notifications turned on for most of my apps because I work in the operating room and they would be going off all the time. But I kept this one on because my three kids have their own card on my account and it helps to keep track of when they use it (which is suppose to be for emergencies unless they ask). This App helped me to know that my daughter was in jeopardy one night when I got a notification at 0234 in the morning that a charge on her account was at a bar that she wouldn’t have gone to. The card was taken by a man who assaulted her and we were able to track him down based on the notifications from this app that are in real time. It gives the location and the time of the transactions as they go through. And the awesome customer service people were so helpful in how they closed just that card and fed-ex’d a new one for her the next day! I thank you for making this app easy to use also. I pay my balances and check my activity and have never been so up to date with a credit card before using this app. Thank you, thank you!

Customer Service is a big disappointment. They don’t understand your concerns . They don’t know anything about products and anything. I spoke with a customer representatives once and they just did understand nothing and responded the same words again and again . I am asking very very very easy question like why you didn’t take whole balance for the last months payment. They say sir you did this amount . I say no I did full amount . They try to make me believe in their own ignorance. I know exactly what I do . And I am asking that what’s wrong with your system ? They say transactions take days even weeks to be completed which I am paying and getting message about it immediately. I told look I don’t want any balance which is from last month again . I am doing autopay and still I am checking this App and it says again you are scheduled to pay a some stupid amount not the whole amount . Why you can’t make sure your Information Technology works proper and reliable ? Your. Faults may affect my credit score and you don’t even take responsibility and take action . I want answers I want to contact with someone knowledgeable about your bank . Because last time I talked one representative for half an hour and I asked to speak with manager and the manager is also didn’t know anything and wasn’t willing to help . Fiasco .
First time with Capital One - Yay Capital One!
I’m writing this review immediately after capital one got me some of my money back from a shady company. I was unwittingly signed up for a subscription service that I did not need or use after making a $2 purchase from them months ago. Today capital one notified me that my card was being charged as it does with every purchase DO NOT TURN OFF THIS FEATURE!! At first I didn’t see it’s value but it notified me immediately that my card was being charged. I did not expect this at all so I call Capital One through this app. After a few voice prints I was connected with Cici who got in touch with this fraudulent company as I was on the phone with her and fought for me to get my money back! No it wasn’t the worst fraud there is but money is money and I’m glad she took my complaint seriously and made it clear we were on the same team. This is my first experience with capital one and I am very pleased. I highly recommend this app and their company. If you have one of their cards YOU MUST GET THIS APP. I don’t know what you’re doing otherwise and why you wouldn’t have this app.
Spacedoutzephyr - Can’t trust them
I got a credit card through Capitol One as a way to help build my credit. When my first payment came along, I tried making a payment through this app for my minimum payment. It was returned a few days later, so I was advised to try again since the funds were in my other account. Well I tried again, and again the payment was returned. I called customer service again, and was advised to try and use my other accounts bill payment. They assured me everything was fine. Well I tried that, and the payment took, but then my account was promptly closed. When I called the customer service team for the third time, they advised that I had had too many of my payments returned so they closed my account and there was nothing I could do. So now my credit has been affected, I have a bill for $400+ dollars, and they refuse to even apologize or offer any kind of solution.
After this, I turned off my autopsy immediately. I was going to wait for when I had enough to pay it in full and be done with it. Not long after I find that my autopay wasn’t turned off, the app had kept my info, and despite having cancelled my other account it was still trying to make unauthorized payments. I emailed customer service several weeks ago and have heard nothing from them. Don’t trust this credit card company or their app.

I only manage a credit card they the app. I like they keep it simple and is easy to pay, see recent transaction and super easy to log in. They keep it current with the new technology something I really like and is optional. You can choose, depending your device capability, lo use your password, finger print or Face ID. I think you can connect with others account and have a lot more options but I personally haven’t explore it. I love the customer service- is exceptional every time I had call them. They are also very proactive in the account security, they notify you right away if there some unusual activity in your account. I don’t give five star because I think it will be very useful if after each transaction they can give you the remaining balance instead of only a big number after all the transactions on the top of the page. Also I think it will be nice have some type of resource to plan your budgets or stuff like that to help people be more effective in managing their accounts- maybe they have it but not what I am aware off so far. Overall: is a great app and I totally recommended from the credit card point.

Opened a 360 checking account. Everything was great until I tried adding an external account. The app won’t let you do it. App refers you to website. Website wanted me to verify my identity using my phone number, which was already verified previously. Entered my ph number and there was a problem verifying the number. Never had a problem verifying my number with other financial accounts. Website said I need to call. Called customer service. Lady answers speaking a foreign language. Realizes she answered the call, starts speaking English. No problem. Ultimately she explains the phone number verification is different from the previous verification and that it may fix itself in a few days to a week. She offers to link my external account by sending an email to another department if I provide the account number and bank routing number. I asked if I could contact that department myself and she said that is not possible. I opted to wait the week to see if the phone verification goes through. What a hassle. I have another online checking account that let me add an external account in their app without issues. Capital One needs to fix this and the phone number verification.

As a person with an employment history in the banking/financial area, I am so impressed with Capital One! The first account I had with them was a credit card, then I did a car loan, and I was so happy to deal with them that I moved all of my accounts to them. (Checking and Savings) Even though they are a larger financial institution, they treat me as a person and not as a number! The service is great and the employees go out of their way to assist you. Even though I had most of my accounts in a smaller bank for years, the transition from them to Capital One was easy and smooth. When my hometown bank tank denied me for a loan even with good credit, Capital One not only approved me, they gave me an interest rate that was unheard of! When I decided to leave the other bank, they couldn’t care less; I have no idea why I was treated that way since I was a good customer and went there bc everyone I used to work with was at the small bank. No worries bc God sent me to Capital One and now I am blessed beyond words! What’s in your wallet and is your money working for you? 🤗

I love the options available to me in the app and at my fingertips. I can make different Types of payments (one-time, recurring, etc), and each can be divided into payment and/or principal). Being able to add the additional funds to principal is going to make a huge impact on my payoff. Another feature is the ability to make bi-weekly payments (another bonus) that is going to help me payoff my loan even sooner without paying any additional funds/payments. And it will coincide with my paycheck so I don’t have to put the money aside every payperiod, it will just come out and be reducing my loan at the same time, leading to less interest being accrued. Win-Win!
You can also view previous bank statements too. It has the payment coupon attached so if I decide to mail a payment instead, it will be easily accessible. You can also see your balance. This is especially important near the end of your loan and your watching the final payments be made!
This is our first time using Capital One so we are new to the app, but so far so good!
Accounts! - Mr. Capital One
Well, I would like to entertain the idea that someone or thing will take the time to read this. I would like to state for the record that “ I Bobby Jackson “ will continue to be a loyal consumer to the entity, We’ve had some ruff patches and yet we’re still together. My credit cards that I have with us have taken a turn for statement balances above the status quo. Yet, I’m willing to continue receiving emails pertaining to financing our/my new vehicle. I’m not ready to purchase . I know that you or us should see that I have broken away from the semi constant balances that I kept. I hope that more attention is paid to my accounts and that I’m able to quickly get back on track. The app on my smartphone has been very helpful. The only downside to the app is that it takes several days for my funds to transfer to and from my external accounts. While avoiding the hassle and delays, it causes me to inadvertently save money. Having a snap view of my credit on credit wise has also equipped me with the knowledge I need to continue my journey towards bettering my credit. We’ll see ow it plays out.

Juana Felix - I am beyond happy with them
I could never say anything bad about Capital One after what happened to me today. I called last week to see if they would agree to remove late payment report from my credit. They stated that they couldnt do so; which I know isnt true. But that is besides the point. While on the phone the representative Brandon asked me why I had gotten behing on my payments. I explained that my husband passed away in October and due to funeral cost all of my orher payments got behind. At which point I proceeded to cry my eyeballs out while on the phone. Brandon never rushed me to get off the phone. He gave me all the time I needed to collect myself. Long story short, fast forward to today I get a knock on ny door and it was FedEx. When I opened
my door it was a box with flowers inside with a note from Brandon sending his condolences and hoping to bring a little joy to me during this time. This might be that Brandon as a human being felt my sorrow and wanted to make things just a little better. But to him and the compaby as a whole. THANK YOU!
Nkenky - What’s the point?
I’ve had the Capital One app for a while now and it was just to keep track of my 360 Money Market account. I did not use it heavily and would sometimes go months without even opening it because it was not really necessary for my needs at the time. Recently, I decided to add an external account to my money market account and of course tried to do this through the app. I had such a hard time trying to find where in the app I could add another account and got so frustrated that I just went on the Capital One website in Safari instead. On their, website it was so easy to find where I needed to go and was able to successfully add another account. I thought I missed something in the app but I went through the same process to get to the “Add External Accounts” page in the app as I did on the website just to discover that the option is nowhere on the app!! What’s the point of having the app if I have to go to Safari each time I want to actually do something?! Other than that, the app is fine, it just doesn’t make sense that I have to go on the Capital One website in Safari to complete a task when I already have the app.
Mommakmcneely - Best credit card & app ever
I refused for years to have a credit card because of APR rates, annual fees, and the risk of miss use, but this card is secured, great for building credit, and no annual fee. Although there's a "higher" APR than some cards, the lack of annual fee makes up for that. Also the APR is almost the same as other cards, but what I like so much about this card is the interest doesn't start building up the day you buy things (like most other cards) it starts one month from the day you actually bought the item. So there's no interest on your item when your bill comes in (unless you wait till the second month to pay off the total amount of your purchase). The app is amazing alone. You connect it to your bank and you can make payments right there. All from your phone. I've looked into getting other cards, but the annual fee, interest starting from day one, lack of advance app, text alerts, and high APR has kept me staying loyal to capital one, and only capital one.
Eldaftbro-1 - Need huge improvements on the app for notifications etc...
For example: I would love to see notifications for my debit card on the app... that would be super helpful to see your spending of any amount of money. So all information regarding your debit card is important too. You can only get texts which helps too, but if you can have texts+notifications all that working at the same time that could be better. I’m pretty sure that we need that on direct deposit account holders too! I can tell that CO credit cards works way more informative, but other bank service apps has the ability to see notifications for debit card spending already. I mean why not have developers/engineers take a look at the benefits and the full potential of this app... Just revamp this app use your skills think big... invest on your product/app/services to get it fixed at its fullest UI customer service, tools, options plus content. Capital One hasn’t been very successful with these updates.... so keep an eye on these issues/suggestions think about this! Be the best bank app ever... don’t wait for weeks or even complete months to improve it. Remember when it comes down to $$$ anything really matters!

This app used to work flawlessly for me. However, over the past few months it has been buggy. I’m working with an iPhone 6s which as of this review is still supported. Here’s how it’s buggy. I’ll try to open the app and it’ll take around 30 seconds in trying to load before it crashes. I’ll usually have to try to open the app at least 2 or more times before it’ll finally decide to display the log in menu. Once I’m in, it usually works from there but I’ve also experienced bugs after logging in as well where it says “sorry something went wrong try again later”. I’ve had instances when I’ll tap one one of my accounts only to find myself stuck in it and I’ll have to close the app and reopen it again. Assuming I get past the constant crashes before getting to the log in menu. I’ve also notice that it has to think a lot which causes the app to be laggy. I understand the security can sometimes make applications slow but this has been going on for quite some time and it’s getting progressively worse. It’s a great app and it does what I need it to do when it works. But there’s a lot that needs to be fix and optimized.

Love ❤️ the App Capital One!!! Thank you!!! It puts all of my Capital One card spending in perspective!!! It allows me to view each transaction even if it’s pending and I get notifications when a transaction on my card takes place!!!💕If I have an issue with a specific transaction I can dispute that right from the App!!! I feel the app would be a five ⭐️ plus if there were summary tabs for your totals after your account balance for your previous balance, for approved transactions, pending transactions and pending payments which would allow you to select any of the tabs to then pull the history for the breakdown that you already provide, for each new monthly billing cycle and a tab to view the history of the card activity to a date specified... this would allow us, card holders, to view are totals at a glance and could be a tool to help us view are spending habits and trends to help us better manage our spending over time! Also, if you’re disputing a transaction, I feel you should be able to view the transaction details before you have to request to cancel and mail a new card. I still ❤️ the app!!!
Nobody from Del Valle - Not very intuitive
Some odd lack of functions combined with some difficulty trying to navigate some of what is there. Overall not a really “bad” app, just needs some work. Still better than paper billing but it would be nice if I could pay as much as I want, when I want, instead of having to wait on “pending” transactions and then waiting up to 3 days to post credit.
Most recent update has rendered app unusable! Login failed, reset password and got in on website to make a payment - but can’t get on app at all! Not with saved password, not with biometric. If I rest password then my credit wise app will not work- what a screwed up situation, circular loop logic fail!
And now it wants to update but won’t download without WiFi - I only have hotspot!
Cap1 is a great company, has my back on everything EXCEPT THIS APP! Very frustrating...
Update about recent update! App refused to work without first updating, refused to update with my hotspot data - must use WiFi, which I don’t use - for 200mb. BS
colestar - Pretty solid mobile and online banking
I've been with Capital One about a year now, and have few complaints. Mobile and online banking are easy to use, and visually appealing. All accounts are conveniently located together, and details and features are pretty self explanatory. Rewards are easy to use, though transferring rewards to other CapOne accounts is limited by the account type (kind of annoying). The system has occasional issues, and I've been denied access to my accounts for sometimes hours, though this is not a regular occurrence. My main complaint is in how long it takes to do pretty much anything with Capital One. Transactions take days to post (and you cannot pay for pending transactions as you can with other institutions like Chase). And transferring money into CapOne savings accounts is about a week-long affair. Other than that, nothing terrible to say. I had to contact customer service once-- they were professional and kind. Overall, quicker would be better, but I'm pretty happy with my Capital One accounts right now.

This may be my first credit card but so far it is the best credit card I think because there’s no interest-rate you can pay the lowest amount of $25 or you can pay the full amount without fees and it tells you when your bill needs to be paid it gives you notifications early to notify you when your bills needs to be paid they are very secure like one time I cancel a payment then I made a different payment on the right Date then it popped up a security alert where I couldn’t buy anything so if it was someone else my credit was secure and safe yes It can be inconvenient but I liked it because my credit was safe and for someone like me someone new to Credit cards it was probably best at least with Capital One you know your account is (((((((SECURE))))) and believe me when I first got my credit card I was worried about anybody just seeing the numbers on the credit card and I’m still a little leery but at least I know I’m protected
MiaTerrain - Please add the ability to change primary account
I’ve had capital one checking for a couple months now. Up until now, I haven’t had any issues. I added another checking account to my account and was notified that I would receive another card. Never received the card but found out through research that you only receive one card per person no matter how many accounts there are. That’s fine with me, I’d rather have one card to deal with, but the issue is, for one, that should have been stated in the first place instead having waiting a week before I could do anything. Another issue I have with this is transferring from one account to another. It would be a lot more convenient to be able to change from account to account without having to go online, sign in, push all the buttons to get to the option, change it, use the card, then go back and do it all over again.
Please include the option to change primary accounts via app, it’s such a hassle having to go through the online process not to mention the amount of data usage.

Loved this app when I first installed it and loved my 360 account! I could literally check my balance, or deposit a check in seconds. Unfortunately, for the past SIX MONTHS the mobile check deposit function has not been working. The second I tap the deposit option I receive a message saying “We hit a snag”. After uninstalling and reinstalling several times, hard booting my phone and iPads both, getting a brand new SIM card for my phone and several calls to Capital one, the developers STILL don’t care and there is no eta for a fix. Basically the entire point of my opening a capital one 360 account, namely ease of use on mobile apps, is entirely moot. Sadly, I may need to bank elsewhere.
Whatsupwendy - Great App; Lacking a Bit
This is a user friendly app that makes it easy for me to lock my card, check transactions and verify my balance or availability. ***I’d like more individual transaction options. For example, Apple credit card allows you to select a transaction to dispute or further research. It also allows you to dispute the transaction via the app /remotely without having to call. This is especially useful when wait times are over an hour.. especially when your call back feature isn’t secure (eg rep calls from a number that comes up as a scam , says their in AZ but number is CA and you don’t know whether they’re actually CapOne lol). Also, time being my most precious asset; is rather reduce the amount of time I spend on any issues. Your app makes it quick to do most things except that (address issues). Kudos on the easy card lock feature. ***It would be nice to be able to access my account via the app without having to unlock my card since I’m obviously the end user/card holder. Thanks !
Joannes Pratorum - User-friendly and clear
I have a few credit card apps and this one clearly stands out above the rest. It’s simple and easy to use. Payment and reward redemption features are very clear- other apps seem to require more effort for me to figure out where those functions are located. The credit wise credit score tracker is also useful and provides explanation as to how various types of activity affect the score. I also just discovered a credit wise feature which simulates the effect of an action on one’s score. The simplicity and clarity of this app may be because it is just for a credit card account, not a general banking app which includes bank and credit accounts.
This last comment has nothing to do with the app but Capital One is also cool because there is not a minimum threshold of rewards points to redeem to credit my account. Other accounts I have require $25 minimum. I am more motivated to use this card over others because of the app.
MyPetShark - Finally an app that displays EXACTLY what I want
You know how sometimes out of pure necessity you have to use a certain app for something super important but it’s annoying to navigate through the all the little sub-menus in order to get right to the information that’s important? It’s like some apps add too much to the opening screen and they don’t just get to the point. Well this app is for you! I have 2 credit cards with Capital One and just 3 weeks ago took out an auto loan with them too. So I had anticipated the need to go online and register the account and use a full-size computer every time I want to check any details of the auto loan. Honest to God without me doing anything, I open the app a few days ago to check my credit card balances and the home screen prompted me if I wanted to add my auto loan I was amazed and eagerly clicked “OK”. Now I can see all 3 of my CapOne accounts on the very first page. This Capital One app should be a model for all other apps.
C2423 - App has worked great until NOW???!!!
This mobile app has been user friendly and amazingly operational and easy to use for even the least experienced tech user. NOW!!! This app is continuously asking for a 2 step authentication and recognizes my device like it is my first time logging in and it has been horrible and the easy access to all my accounts are now what you would call,”IMPOSSIBLE ACCESS!” And that’s an understatement. Capital One?! I appreciate your security because you as a company have already dropped the ball allowing millions of people’s information to be hacked and breached. Now, you need to to get your software developers to do their job and get online and mobile access to function without issues?! No problems for 2 years now and now these 2 weeks have been considered by me the worst app on my phone to deal with or open because it has been a complete failure and I dread even attempting to open it up because of the issues created after the last update. Please fix this! Customers depend on access to their accounts on a daily basis and as I’m sure I’m not the only one. Get this right because a 5 star app has turned into 1 star in a matter of days?! What a mess?!!!!!
SunnyAppleby - My favorite credit card app!
I love this app so much I even decided to go paperless with my statements. I can always see what is going on with myCapital One credit cards. I’m notified by text every time my card is charged. My Capital One Venture Card also gives me the option of “erasing” my travel purchases with the points earned on that card and I can take care of that in less than a minute with this app. This app is part of the reason that my Venture card is my favorite card. I have a Citi card too that has a rewards program I like a lot, because they send me a check once a year for my rewards, but their website is so terrible and I’ve never used their app. The only thing I don’t like is the app keeps saying I need to finish my account set up by adding my bank account to make payments which I will never do. I pay all my bills through my bank bill pay and everything is flagged to feed into the budget I made on my bank app.

Been a member since ING...still same excellent customer care, no hidden fees, personal attention (not a computer) when you call, I’ve never had to leave a message up the chain of command if I’ve called for something ( have done this at other banks), Cap One understands human beings have needs and situations and takes fantastic care of us! Did I mention that we don’t get slapped with fees constantly like at other banks? Recently received a beautiful personal note from an employee at Cap One Auto Finance, sympathy note for my old car I didn’t want to let go of. Sweet touch, meant a lot! Wanted a personal loan to replace my engine, wasn’t possible through Cap One which is a drag... but I found a loan through a credit union (is much less expensive than buying another car)and my old car is like new again, Cap One did preApprove me for an auto loan, didn’t want that. Grateful for the wonderful options Cap One does offer... maybe someday personal loans too?
The Real Middleman - Capital One Finally Got it Right.
Updated Review for version 5.4. Well after several major updates, I can finally say that Capital One got the mobile banking right. The app has almost everything you need for mobile banking. They also have a full iPad App. This all was a long time coming, but it is here.
Updated Review for version 2.0.4: No matter how pretty you make this App look, it's still pretty ugly. This App still doesn't work right for paying bills; at best it accepts about a quarter of the payments entered. This have been a problem since day one and you still haven't been able to fix it (please try to get the basics right). I consistently get a cryptic error messages that say the information is incomplete when all fields are filled out. When you call Tech Support for an answer they have no idea why this is happening and all they tell you to use the regular banking web site (great customer service there). The only thing this app is good for is looking up your balances, otherwise it's toilet paper. As mobile banking becomes more important to me, I'm considering changing banks to a company that has a mobile banking platform that works.
What you need to do?
1. Bill payment that actually works! It's a basic feature!
2. Check scanning / deposit functionality (but if they can't get bill paying right, how can they get the deposits right)
2. An iPad version of the App, like all the other major banks.

My credit line was taken away. I had 2 bank cards that were compromised. I am disable and not very sharp in the past months. I was so great full that they approved me. I was making payment from this site if I made them from my bank I would still have my credit line. I called to explain and they did not care. So, on there web site you can put in your bank account to pay your bills but you CAN NOT delete OLD CARDS that are no longer active. That’s were my errors came into play. I choose the wrong bank card numbers and I was not aware until the closed my account. No one called or left any messages, nothing. I have 2 cards the second card I made 1 mistake choosing the wrong bank card. They said they give you one chance, I didn’t get that chance with the second card. I found this site frustrating because thought it would be the best way to pay and not make mistakes, I WAS WRONG. 😩

I’ve been with Capitol One since they were ING and I have had NOTHING but good experiences over the years. I use their online banking for my checkings, savings. I also utilize their investing account, credit cards and CDs. I love the fact that I cannot readily access my savings, because I shredded my debit card years ago but using the app I can readily transfer money as needed to and from my credit union when needed. It works well for me and I have been able to save so much more because I don’t have immediate access to my savings for impulse purchases. The app works well because when I do need to transfer money from my CapOne accounts to my credit union it is a very simple process. I have never had an issues with money transfers using this app. I also used the app to open my first CD and it took me less than 5 minutes to set everything up. I also like the creditwise feature on the app, as well. I will always be a loyal CapOne member.
Mickelsp - Good app in general, but hobbled with VPN
I’ve always been impressed with the function of the Capital One app. As other reviewers point out, it works smoothly, allows multiple logins, looks good, and respects OS conventions.
Until recently, I would have rated the app a full five stars, but its functionality seems to have been hobbled while operating over a VPN. I use a VPN for added privacy online and always use servers based domestically (to the US), so there’s little reason to cripple my ability to deposit checks simply on account of that. What’s worse is that the failure is simply noted with the message, “sorry, we’ve hit a snag. Try again later,” rather than telling me the underlying reason—that’s not helpful app behavior. I had to spend an hour either on hold or on the phone with tech support only to find out the true reason why the app wasn’t working. I’ll update the rating to five stars if the app starts working well again under a VPN.
Tiered of waiting. - Great app. One inconvenience
The only problem that I have with this app is that where it says WHEN your next payment is due, it does not tell you HOW MUCH is due.
It would be really nice to have that info right next to it.
I made a payment towards the end of the month to turn my balance into a flat, even, number as I usually do. Then when it was approaching my due date the next month, I was not sure if I had covered minimum payment or not. I called capital one and a representative mis-informed me my minimum payment was already covered. I did not make a further payment. Next time I checked, the account was past due and I was charged a late fee. When I called back the next representative was very nice and removed the fee from my account. BUT, it would be nice to be able to clearly see in the app the remaining balance that is due. Or if it has already been paid, $0 until next statement in order to avoid all of this confusion in the first place.
If they do this, 5 star app for sure!

First, I should say that I love Capital One overall. But ... it makes me extremely sad that the Capital One Wallet app will be retired in May. Primary value of the app, for me, comes from instant purchase alerts - best feature EVER. But, I have multiple users on my account (2 teenaged kids). Inside Wallet, all purchase activity is divided by card/user, and an easy swipe tells me who did what, and I'm alerted instantaneously. New app dumps everything into one big category. There are filters at the top of the purchase activity page, but none are all that useful to me (no choice for card/user). Do that many people really need to frequently analyze how much of their spending is grocery store versus airline from their phone?? With this new app, I will now need to log into my account ON MY LAPTOP, OR TABLET BROWSER, download purchase activity with user detail, then sort it. Not cool. I do like being able to see other accounts like my Money Market balance via the app, but not much activity happens with that, so ... Capital One, PLEASE add the card user functionality from the old Wallet app to this new version! That would take my rating straight to 5 stars.

I love 💗 my Capital One App, it lets me know when my next payment is coming up which is a great thing for some people, because they forget, not on purpose just because their lives are so hectic. Keeps track of all the places you have used your card and the best thing about Capital One is NO ONE CAN GET YOUR INFORMATION!!! They have a CreditWise linked to their app which keeps everything SAFE.... from hackers and the dark web!! Guys if you have no credit, low credit, bad credit or just want to improve your credit this is the app you need. Yes it’s a credit card, but if you already have one try CreditWise, I’m not sure it’ll work with all cards, but it’s worth a try! They keep track of your credit score, if it goes up or down!! Come on give them a try, there great 👍🏼!! Thanks Credit One & CreditWise for everything and giving me a chance to prove myself an get myself together... Thank you 🙏 so very much!!!
Gungho runner - Great app but....
I loved cApital one. I always recommend it to people. They are not like BOA that has a lot of hidden charges/fees and rude customer service. Capital One has great customer service although I have just one bad experience from them when I was asking them to help me with a dispute. They were not really frank and honest with me. It was somewhat disorganized the way they handled it and I ended up not getting the money refunded which I think I should have because it is not my fault that the reservation has some issues. They asked me for evidence via the site not my personal email and then after giving it to them, they asked another proof but because I hardly go to the main website, I didn't see the note right away. Then they closed the dispute without properly communicating to me any other way such as via personal email or phone call. So I could have easily given them 5 rating but because of this one major incident, I'm just giving them a 4/5.

Well where should I start? God forbid you need to speak to a human, you must identify yourself to everyone who picks up the phone maybe for five times. So you waste a bunch of time to start off with. Then when you do reach the person you need to speak with they almost never have to info ( they will refer you to a brace ) the branch is who referred me to customer care. That I'm it's self makes no sense because no takes care of the reason for the call in the first place. Ok then company changes are done with out any one being informed and that messes up my business because when you try to count on YOUR BANK you can't and shouldn't. Mobile deposit well the concepts in theory are wonderful but in actuality here sometimes no problem , but when there is then what? The branch says call customer care!!!! Customer care says will look into it get back to you and refers you back to the branch!!!! So unfortunately this day and age I have multiple business accounts with multiple financial institutions to cover me my company and my employees and my vendors!!!! Well we will see if this post makes it up and for how long it stays up. I'm gladly waiting to see !

I got a secured card from them this last month. Everything was good to go until I tried using their 'creditwise' feature.
It absolutely would not work. So I called them to see what was going on, they told my that I had a duplicate application... How in the world does that happen?! This was on Wednesday that I called. They told me they would get it 'fixed'. I call back Friday (still had no access at this point to my account...) And then they said to give it a couple more days... I call back today, Sunday, and they say that they made 'notes' of my previous calls but no action has been taken... Are you FREAKING kidding me?! I've had NO ACCESS to my account for 5 days and that's all you can tell me?! They said to call back Monday since the department that takes care of my 'issue' is open again... So much for 24 hour service. Seriously this is ridiculous. If they don't get it fixed tomorrow then I'm closing my account and I'm done. Why offer a service that doesn't even work? 🤷🏼♂️
BelK23 - It’s always something.
You’d think with mobile banking and a huge branch like Capital One that they would have fast, if not instant transactions from your account. I never know how much money I have because transactions from DAYS ago are still pending. There is an “available” and “current” balance, but they are never accurate. Whenever I need to talk to a human being and not a machine about issues, I am on hold for at least 20 minutes and am transferred multiple times, just to be told there’s nothing they can do to help me. You can’t walk into a Capital One branch to have them help you in person, because 360 is online banking so it’s separate from the branches, even though it’s the same company. I wanted the convenience of cashing a check on your phone and not having hidden fees, which they offer, but it’s not worth the hassle of trying to solve the constant issues that come into play. I’m debating between getting a regular checking account with Capital One or changing banks all together. I’ve been dealing with this for years and am still not at all satisfied.
Evolve-WSJ! - Updated balance needed for each transaction
On the banking side, the app would be perfect but it is missing a balance next to each individual transaction. The aggregate balance on the top is not enough. Let’s say for example I suspect discrepancies in my balance... I’d have to put some extra effort, maybe find my receipts, and do all the calculations to determine what my balance was at a certain point in time in the past or to determine what my balance was for specific transactions that occurred in the past. RIGHT NOW I CAN’T JUST LOOK AT A PAST TRANSACTION AND KNOW WHAT MY UPDATED BALANCE WAS FROM THAT TRANSACTION! It would be great if that feature could be added to the app.
NOTE: This app is awesome. I gave it a low score here to hopefully catch your attention about this important missing feature. I used to work in the retail banking industry and a lot of my customers used to get upset because they were unable to determine their balance from past transactions just by looking at the app. I had to walk them through the transactions and help them with their calculations. The lack of this feature crossed the generational divide in terms of its importance to customers.

Travis Culbreth - Nice app
I do not do a whole lot of online banking as I have set up my bill payments to occur when the bill is do. I think I have added one payment partner using the mobile app and it was easy enough. Though I prefer using my laptop with its attached monitors just because of the real estate. So far the app has done everything I have wanted to do and it is majorly convenient especially when you need to transfer $ and you are nowhere’s near a computer.
Using the deposit feature is easy as well and once to get the navigation down is pretty quick. Could things be easier or better. Always. Thus the upgrades we get. I like the app very much. And now with the Touch ID I like it even better
What I don’t like and this is more to do with my mobile device is it is small Filling out this review using a tiny keyboard is not my best experience. But the app function great
Greek Geek and the posay! - Locking spendable -ren
Hi! I am a user of the capital one money app. This is my first time ever having a card of my own since I have a job now. I love the feature of setting money aside, but, it really doesnt do much if i can spend the money that is set aside when i am going over my spendable. It sort of defeats the purpose of setting aside. I wish that the app could either lock it and then deny the card as if the set aside money wasnt there and then send an immediate notification to the phone saying that the card user went over their spendable, and then have an override option. Like, if u understood u were going over but have to or choose to. Like if the item you are purchasing is important. I feel that these friendly reminders , since most people utilizing the money card are young people, would greatly assist in helping teens grasp the idea of saving and self control when it comes to their money. I know i have a habit of spending a lot of money on clothes that i dont really need. I just feel that this would help.
Its The Beef - Very convenient, easy to use.
I love how convenient this app is for making payments, viewing balance and checking on my account. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I use the Capital One app with two different credit cards and it consistently only emails confirmations for one of the accounts. On top of that, I had auto pay turned on for both accounts, then out of no where I get hit with a late fee on one of my accounts. All my bills are auto pay, I utilize that feature for a reason, yet for some reason... To avoid late fees and to have one less thing to worry about. Sometimes I make a non scheduled payment if I have a little extra money, because I do not like having too much debt. Two times I was proactive and made an extra payment and both times it canceled my auto pay for the following month and I got hit with a $27 late fee each time. So be careful and after making your payments, sign out and then back in to make sure the auto pay didn’t get switched off.
Mad as He$$ - Capital One App
Very easy to use. There is not one question on this app about your bill that you can’t find the answer to. I love the notifications of every time I use my card that in about five seconds it’s on my phone letting me know that my card is being used. The CreditWise that is in the App is very important free tool which makes me feel that is a genuine company that wants to help every customer to achieve their credit score that they will need in life. From the Balance you owe to the available credit you have to the easiest payment you will ever make and the very important notifications they give you makes this App the best one I have. Capital one gave me a chance and let me have a card when no one else would because I’m young and just starting to build credit and with this App I’m confident that Capital one will be my big break in my future credit score.
Klobster - app is below average and customer service lays low and below the app
Frustrated- during Covid crisis after seeing an error being charged too much interest and a valid membership fee I called in to discuss the error in the interest charge and pleaded for them to please waive the annual membership fee. I was appalled by the way I was spoken down to. Everyone in my household has lost their jobs, we can’t get through to unemployment for finacial assistance, and I was hoping that Capital One would be there to help, show empathy and consideration as we have been long time members. We have never been late on ANY PAYMENTS...ever!!! Capital One should be ashamed as they have revealed their true selves...not only are they NOT here to help through the pandemic, but they are extremely rude and let this member know that I “clearly” did not understand basic arithmetic.
I called a competitor and they helped pay off one of my capital one balances ... Looking forward to getting help from another competitor to clear the one balance left with C.O. and I can say farewell to this awful institution and hello to lower interest rates and excellent service from your competition.

While the app on a whole is ok it’s flawed. Simple lack of thought in its design. For instance. For several weeks now I’ve been greeted by a “complete account set up” message when I open the app. I added a credit card to the app It’s added as a new account. It keeps asking me to add a user to the card. I am not going to add a user as there is no need to add one. Yet there is no option to tell the stupid app that I am not going to add a user. Thus I continue to see the stupid message every time I use the app. Just a simple “no” option would fix this stupid hassle. Do the idiots that designed it really believe every person will add a user to a card? Like I said it’s a lack of thought in its design. Another irritation is being forced to update it to use it. Maybe I’m not at home and don’t want the download update over my cell connection or maybe I’m in a hurry and don’t have the time to update it at that moment. Again like I said it’s a stupid lack of thought in its design at the simplest level.

Every experience was amazing from when I first walked in (small things I don’t forget) the lady saw me and ushered me in to her neat desk. It was amazing getting to sign up on a tablet for checking & mobile banking) ....Ik its a just a tablet but the feeling of privacy and processing your own information was epic !
Secondly i felt so comfortable I’ve never been in a banking office where I feel at home I even sat back in the chair sunk low & ate her dums dums, one was lemon which I didn’t wanna try but ended up being great!!! Then I ate a mystery which I think was like pineapple idk haha
During this time the Banking Associate was counting my crazy change and depositing my part-time job check (still very broke btw) but signing up was quick and easy & no annual, monthly or weekly fees okuuuuurrrr !!!

So this morning I log into the 360 app becouse I needed to find out what the banking hours were, I noticed that the app doesn’t provide that to you, it only let you know the ATM’s and the address wears one closes to you. So I had to log off of the app and instead go onto google and search for the bank closes in Levittown and I click onto website and then I was able to find the banking hours. And another thing I found out earlier this morning when I walked into the bank, I told the teller that I lost my debit card and she showed me wear to go on the app to do it, but then I asked her if I could get a temporary card until my new card comes in the mail, and she explained to be that the new 360 checking doesn’t let you do that all. Which I think it really inconvenient. Everything else I love, it’s just those two different things that annoy me.
NCarruthers - App crashes all the time now!
I love CapitalOne to death, for many reasons. I also used to REALLY love this app until recently. In the past few months or so I have had this issue where I have to literally open the app 6-10 times before it actually opens. It crashes before getting to the login page. For something that’s supposed to be convenient it’s super unpredictable and it’s turning into a complete waste of my time to the point where I don’t want to use it anymore — absolutely frustrating. I’ve tried everything, from updating my phone, updating the app, deleting and reinstalling the app and nothing works. Please, please fix this. This is the card I like to use when I travel and I like to stay on top of my expenses at all times.
It’s gotten even worse. Now the app won’t even open at all. Crashes EVERY TIME. What’s the point? Delete!

It is a nicely designed and executed app. I have a business credit card account and a personal credit card account with them. It does a good job of showing multiple accounts and details.
I’m a big fan of Capital One sending instant alerts on purchases. I’d like to see some improvements.
1. iOS app push message alerts don’t beep or buzz. This issue is not due to any settings I have on my iOS devices. As the purpose of the purchase alerts is to draw immediate attention in case there is a fraudulent charge, the push messages should beep and buzz. I could get around this issue by opting for text messages instead of push, but I’d rather not.
2. My wife’s card and my card have different numbers on a single account. The purchase alerts via iOS push messaging don’t tell us which one of our cards was used for the transaction. So when a purchase alert comes in, it is hard for us to know if it was fraudulent or if our spouse used the card. Including the last 4 digits of the card in the alert will solve that problem.
3. iOS Wallet wants me to use the Capital One Wallet app to validate the addition of Capital One card to Apple Pay. That should be changed to this mobile app.
4. It is confusing to have this mobile app and the Capital One Wallet app. They mostly do the same thing. Capital One should get rid of the Capital One Wallet app.

CapOne is the best; had them 3 years now and haven’t had an issue or problems EVER! When i had a questionable charge it was easy to call and place a dispute! I also bank with Discover Checking and Bank of America all of them are great but CapOne is my go to checking, the app is great and intuitive, also all my account is in one place! Can see my credit card, checking and savings. I also can easily move money from my CapOne checking to Bank of America real time using Zelle this is an added BONUS doesn’t get any easier than that! Also when i was younger i had poor money management skills as i’m sure many have had several chex systems reporting, those records were still on my chexsystem report when capone opened my account, maybe i was lucky but i still got the account so all in all they have one happy customer forever!
Shehaslived - A Big One For Me
I enjoy Capital One and I think they are a great bank for Savings and Checking. However I believe that their app is tailored to credit card holders. The Push Notifications are literally nonexistent for checking and savings accounts. This a deal breaker for me. When my card is swiped, no notification. When money is transferred, no notifications. When money is withdrawn, no notifications. When I receive a direct deposit, no notification. When money is moved from my account without me know, no notifications. This is a very important feature for me because I trust a lot of my money with this bank. I have checked my settings multiple times, on iOS and in the app. I have always had this problem no matter the update. It’s annoying.
Update: (6/21) Still no fix. I just came to update to say that the app is virtually useless. Why have an app if your gonna send me to the web to do anything involving my accounts. I never had this problem with other banks. Apps are supposed to make life convenient.
Geminidstny22 - Best Credit Card Company Out There!
I currently have 2 different Capital One credit cards and this company is by far the best credit card company out there! Their offers are extremely inviting, their APP and website is easy to navigate and provides all the information you need regarding your account (s). The App shows a summary overview of both accounts (if you have more than one account), allows you to easily click back and forth from each account and provides tracking information of your progress to a credit line increase (if this applies to your accounts) making it easy manage your current status at any time. I highly recommend Capital One to anyone that wants to apply for a credit card. Again, Capital One is one of the best credit card companies I’ve dealt with and I highly recommend them!

Everything works fine and it’s easy to manage my account from the app. I just wish the initial startup would be faster. I have many different apps on my phone and this app by far is the slowest one to start up. Once the app is open, everything works great with normal loading times. I previously had iPhone 7 and began to notice the app was taking a long time to initially load upon startup. Then I upgraded to iPhone XS and have since been having the same issue, at times seeming slower than usual. Could this be related to the speed of the data connection to my phone? It seems about the same whether I am using cellular data versus WiFi. Is there possibly a back-end server issue creating some sort of bottleneck? It’s not the end of the world, but with the “standard” performance of every other app on my phone, I feel like it could be a fairly simple bug fix. Thanks for your help.

I think the app is great and give it 5 stars for a few reasons. The first being that it works just as it should without glitches or non responsive tabs/functions on the the app. That should be a given anyways, but I’ve had a few banking/money management mobile apps that have given me a lot of issues like that. Second, it that it’s easy to use and quickly allows me to navigate to the information I want to see fast. That’s what the app should be all about, not complicated and overdone, but simple and quick, but secure and helpful too. And third is even with the lasted breach of security, I still feel my info is safe on the app with capital one. Regardless if it’s true or not, I feel like it is, which at the end of the day, that’s all that matters anyways! I haven’t had any issues and I would recommend Thanks

My experience with Capital One has been, hands down, the best banking experience we have ever had. We started with moving one of our business accounts here and 1 personal 360 checking account. We quickly fell in love with literally every single thing about this bank. We are now moving all of our accounts here, including my fiancé’s personal accounts as well as our 4 other businesses. So thankful to have found Capital One at a time it seems they are just starting to hit their stride and make major waves in the world of banking. I never thought I’d say this about a bank, but Capital One has it all figured out, they know how to handle your money, how to profit and sustain without cheating their customers with unnecessary fees and such, and they know how to create a customer friendly environment.

NYG01 - Best Banking App all around
I joined Capital One 360 a few years ago to set up a direct deposit to go in to from my part time job. From day one when I joined I was amazed how great Capital One 360 was with their banking App. Any issues on had with my money in checking, was handled immediately when I called their service representatives. The one thing that I really like, is that you can lock your debit card after you made a purchase and keep it locked until you are ready to use it again. I have set up weekly deposits using the App to help me start saving for a rainy day. You can do all your banking from Capital One 360 App without any worries at all. So I say if you don’t have an account with them yet, do yourself a favor and set one up, because you won’t be disappointed!!! Thanks Capital One 360 and keep up the great service.......
Tublar Tommy - Pretty epic but sometimes hard to navigate
So yeah I was just chillin’ and decided to like move some money aside to save right? And there was like this really epic animation of some thing being squeezed from one bubble to the other and it was so satisfying that I ended up saving a whopping $4. Anyway, it’s a pretty gnarly site and the only gripe that your homeboy (that’s me) has is the fact that the app doesn’t show your past balance after previous transactions are done which can make my brain like totally get confused sometimes. I’m like, “yo, like, when $53 dollars were taken out of my account but then my rad mom gave me $25, like, how did my total balance swing the entire time?” You get me? Like, sometimes it’s just a little kooky but I’ve just stayed wavy with it and I go with the flow (as you know) so really it’s not that much of a problem anymore. This app is alright for the most part but it needs a lot of work. Its not reliable with ACCURATELY showing available amount, pending amount and transactions. It used to only happen with gas station transactions but now its happening with all kinds of purchases. This is the process- I buy something and it *usually* shows up immediately in the pending section. a few days later the transaction disappears completely- doesnt show up in pending, in finalized transaction, or is taken out of the available balance. So if you havent checked your account for a week or so and forgot about some purchases, you will THINK you have more available balance as your account on the app shows. But then the next day you could have hundreds less than the day before and youre left to wonder what payments it was from because the dates for the finalized transactions dont always add up. Honestly the capital one app is a mess, 2 stars is generous as I never have been and continue to be unimpressed.
Bad Bullies - Bullies
I have had my account for almost 5 years and last month in preparation for Christmas I began shopping online. I had a decent credit limit but one not high enough to cover Christmas. After spending my limit I had to make payments within November to finish my shopping. Should of stopped using the credit card then but after spending and paying in excess of $2,000 CapitalOne began placing a 7 day hold on my payments. Now these Payne were coming from a Capital One 360 checking account and I received no assistance. They refused to contact my bank and verify funds as previously done. They even took an unauthorized payment from the 360 checking account and after reporting that as fraud and it being returned. The treatment received was even worse. I will be closing both accounts at my discretion. I have never been bullied or black flagged anywhere. I don’t know how they did it but somehow all my orders on line under my debit cards or other credit cards required identification verification. I cannot believe a company do large treats people as I have been treated.

I had a low credit karma score 580 It was recommended that I could try to apply without effecting my CC score.
I was excited because CapitalOne gave me a unsecured Credit card with a $300 limit and after 6 months they of making payments on time my line of credit increases to $500’s. I highly advise to check the percentage rate and the yearly fee that is charged on other Credit card company’s, And this company % rate is on the high side but I do not have a yearly fee to pay... but other companies will get you on that yearly fee every single month anything over $149 is to high. If you are trying to build your credit then accept those high yearly fees but try get your credit built back up and then call and close those high yearly fee cards. I hope this helps this information helps you.

Capital one just took over Walmart credit cards. I downloaded the app and created an account to pay my bill. I entered my current bank information and made my payment. 3 days later I get an e-mail telling me my payment was denied because my bank account was closed and they charged me a $28 late fee!!! I logged into the app and somehow my current bank account was not there they had an old account from 4 years ago (when I had a Capital One credit card) instead. I called customer service and they were rude! Had to argue with them. “Why would I give them an old bank account from years ago to pay current bill?” Took arguing with them to get it straight. They removed the late fee after much arguing. I hadn’t had any accounts with Capital One in 4 years when I closed the credit card I had with them because I was tired of their rude customer service! Looks like they store information after accounts are closed! BEWARE! Soon as I get this current account paid off I’m closing my Walmart card since Capital One took over.

It’s always a pain to have to call and wait on the phone for an actual human being to pick up the line (and I’m not saying specifically with Capital One, because they are actually pretty on top of that, but just having to wait on hold and go through all the prompts etc. in general...), and then on top of that having to pay a western union fee to pay and/or just the phone convenience fee period. So using this app once it’s set up which is pretty simple makes managing my account much easier... I have my checking account linked to it and can pay any amount I choose with a few taps on my phone and it’s done... The app will even remind you when you’re bill is due amongst many other options and you can opt to have certain things texted to you or emailed as well overall I think it is a great app
PMac18 - No more Wallet app notifications?
I thought it was just me but I’m very disappointed to see the amazing notifications from the Wallet app removed. They said they were moving it to this app but it’s not there! There are NO instant purchase notifications on whether something has been approved or declined! How do you not integrate something that was so valued on the Wallet app? I see all the other options for notifications on your balance and what not but NOTHING for instant purchase notifications! Come on guys, do you realize this helped me catch credit card fraud on my account multiple times!? I really hope the developer reads this and takes this very seriously. It was an integral part of the other app. Now I have to manually check when my card is swiped to see if I got double-charged or mysteriously charged for something.

Several years ago, I was unhappy that Capital One bought ING; little did I foresee the quality and convenience that Capital One planned for Capital One 360. They bring the highest quality and convenience together in the best package available today - save one irritation - they do not grantee on time electronic bill payments. CheckFree which serves many other banks and credit unions does. Still the conveniences packages offered by Capital One, Capital One 360 and Capital One Credit Cards are the best I know. The interest rates paid on savings and checking accounts are higher than any other in my knowledge; the rewards payed on credit cards are competitive exceeded only by a couple of others in specialized areas such as gasoline, travel and restaurants; and the range of electronic payments and transfers are tops.
Capital One Customer, DE - Capital One is Great
My purse was stolen. All of my credit cards included. Besides the hassle of getting all of them turned off and replaced, I was taking a trip to Florida and wanted to use my Capital One card to pay for my rental for 9 days. Low and behold I didn’t realize until Saturday that my Capital One card was the only one that I did not request to be replaced and I was leaving the following Wednesday. It was already the weekend and I knew it would not get to me in time in the mail. I expressed my concern to one of the reps and he stated that “he would not want my trip to Florida be ruined because I didn’t have my card”. So he sent the card Fed-Ex. I had it by Monday. Such a relief words can’t even express how with such ease he took care of my situation because without the rental there would have been no trip. KUDOS Capital One!!!

Hey fellow Christians! I was a loyal customer of Capital One, until today. You see, today I received the credit card they so graciously sent. Only to realize it still contained the same error—a numerical sequence of “666” in my card number. Now, as soon as I noticed it I rolled my eyes and called them to advise of the poor taste.. but asked to have my feedback submitted to QC and a new card with a new number issued. Guess what I got in the mail today? Same card sequence, including the 666. This is an awful way to treat your loyal customer base who has otherwise religiously used your card, for starters. But to turn around and mock someone who wanted a new card issued due to a religious preference by not only disregarding their feedback but not even taking the time to step out and ensure the new card didn’t have the same numbers (yet, again, so “graciously” offering to comp an expedited delivery 👀) is absolute more quality control and customer service AT BEST.. and a full on mockery at worst. Shame on you, Capital One. Seriously.

Love it it logs in fast. And shows both balances to all accounts in the first screen. It’s easy to transfer money between the two. ONLY thing I wish there was an option to see how much the next monthly minimum payment for your credit card would be if you paid early. For instance. If I pay my minimum payment for the month of August EARLY —I wish I could know what the minimum payment would be for the next month sooner than the end of the billing cycle. . Since I paid early. Or just some sort of pre-calculated estimate for the best amount to pay in order to help me get my credit back up or stay up etc. . . Kinda not really explaining myself well. But essentially I just wish there were more options to manage your credit/payments if you want to get ahead of yourself.
stop pushing it's rude - Great app, but please bring back the essentials.
The app works well but innovations took away some essential capabilities.
1) With Zelle it is no longer possible to set up recurring automatic payments. That is possible only by mailing paper checks. Paper checks are not a part of my life anymore. I, and hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, pay rent to a roommate who in turn pays the landlord. The loss of recurring person-to-person payments is the loss of an incredibly useful feature.
2) The app no longer allows memos on payments, whether by check or Zelle. Memos are very useful and the loss has caused me much more work when reconciling health payments. For example, I see my therapist multiple times a month. She is terrible at tracking bills and payments. Now I must do much more sleuthing when checking which appointments I have paid for and which I have yet to pay for.
3) No more messages?? I had a message from customer service to track down one of said payments, and it's now gone. I do not have time to wait on the phone through multiple prompts nor do I want to text a robot about my money. Being able to send a message that a human would answer was incredibly convenient and now impossible.
I love my capital one bank accounts and credit card. I hope these hugely convenient capabilities return!
CynDaBoogie - Love modern banking/credit apps
I’ve not had a traditional credit card in 15-18 years.
I realized I was not building my credit as much as I could just by not owing anyone but my mortgage company, who has never had a delayed payment. This was news to me, and an education.
That all said, I researched cards that were custom to my interests and my already good credit standing. Finally, using Nerd Wallet, I compared cards. I decided on the Venture card from Capital One. This is what led me to using the app.
The app is amazing! Making payments, seeing payment activity, card activity, and an anytime look at my credit score, with the included Credit Wise on the app make being credit smart so easy!
You can see what may happen if you increase a limit, pay off a certain amount, and how it directly would effect your credit.
NONE of which takes a “ding” in your credit.
We all know the more your credit is checked, the lower your s ore goes. Being enrolled in Credit Wise with my card leaves me never guessing, an immediate look at my credit, and never will reflect poorly on my credit.
Again, the payment, the interest rate, and card activity are plenty to satisfy me, but Credit Wise puts this app well over the top for my interests!
KingsOwner - Best Banking Experience ever
I’ve had Wellsfargo for years... and always had issues weather it was fraud or unnecessary overdraft fees, down to suspicious charges, every year with them I always had at least one problem within the year. Heard about Capital 1 360, opened one up just to see and ask questions. Although it would be nice to go into a branch every now and then... I LOVE IT! The atms to make deposits are in my favorite store TARGET! So it’s absolutely awesome and convenient. Customer service is awesome as well. I got my card taken by an atm at the mall, called and was able to set up a Zelle account to send my other account the money meanwhile I waited for my new card to come in the mail. The representative stayed on the phone with me the WHOLE PROCESS, no long holds. I cannot complain about this banking method at all.
NoGoodNick - Questionable Forced Upgrades
Despite being reliable for years, Capital One is now FORCING users to upgrade, without identifying what’s changed or what they’re forcing users to accept. The newest FORCED update was over a change in their TOC details, something which isn’t even casually mentioned on their website. The only thing I suspect, is that after years of being upfront and transparent with users, they’re now planning to force multiple pop-up ads and collect data on their users to sell to unnamed advertisers. If this was in relation to new banking laws, their main website would have mentioned it or they’d have sent out letters warning users, instead they’re trying to force it on users in too much of a hurry to deposit needed funds to read 12 pages of largely impenetrable legalese.
I’ll withhold my final judgment, but the underhanded way they’re foisting this on users doesn’t speak well for their ultimate intentions! I suspect it’s finally time to look for yet another bank.
navceclt - Should be able to service all accounts
As a loyal Capital One customer since 2006, I am very disappointed that my Line of Credit account, that I’ve had since 2008, cannot be accessed from the app. From 2008 until just recently, at least I could still go online to mange my Line of Credit account, but as of June 2019, customers with Line of Credit accounts cannot manage their accounts unless they visit a branch location (number of locations have been decreasing and hours are inconvenient), or call customer service (which has an office that closes at 5pm EST, two full hours before I get off of work; typical customer waiting time on the phone has been 20 minutes). PLEASE update the app so that customers with the Line of Credit accounts can manage the account! Because this account is linked to my checking account (to which, as a loyal customer, I have directly deposited my paychecks since 2006), and because it accrues interest daily, it is VERY important to be able to manage it at my fingertips via the app!

Capital One has been a great bank; better, more intuitive features than my “local” community bank with tools such as Zelle, Bill Pay and eBills that actually work (half my bills weren’t compatible with my other bank). The debit card has reasonable spending and cash withdraw limits that can be temporary raised online if needed for a large purchase or withdraw which is important to me despite never having needed to—this was the biggest issue I had with other “online banks”—many are easy to get your money into it and could be difficult accessing it if anything out of the ordinary were to occur but never a concern with Capital One. I’ve only had to call and speak to a person once, but my call was quickly answered and the representative was very helpful.

I’m always taken care of online or via the 1877 # promptly and professionally .. my only complaint would be that I used the card in a dignified way always paying on time for my statement balances month after month and either Cap 1 took over for Synchrony on this WalMart card which would be correct as this is the Cap 1 app. And my 300$ credit magically dropped to 100$.. and I’ve read this about this card with more than a dozen of other individuals . So something to look into . I have since been issued 2 credit one cards each with limits that add up to 1,500$ and a mission Lane card that has a 500$ limit. So why capital 1 chooses to continue to keep me at a 100$ maximum limit is a mystery as it’s my longest standing card. Aside from this A1 service
DeadBob74 - Issues with Payment Accounts
If using the app for paying your credit card bill be wary.
I switched to a new checking account for my payment method for my cc a few months after I started using the app. It allowed me to put the new account in as a payment method, but I wasn’t able to remove my old checking account. This wasn’t too much of an issue, as it was automatically defaulting to my new account every month after I entered it. However, several months later, it started defaulting back to my old account. Since the process had been virtually automatic up until then, I didn’t catch it. This resulted in a returned payment since my old account was now closed. As a result, my credit has now been affected due (in part) to the design of this app. I contacted Capital One to try to have the returned payment record taken off. They removed the old payment account for me but would not remove the returned payment record (despite a perfect payment history for almost 2 years up until that point).
Loveoneanother;) - From a loyal customer
Since the early 2000s we have used Capital One, never really having a problem, with the exception of today...and it really isn’t a problem, just their stance. Earlier in the week I paid off 2 CCs in the amount $2300+ in CCs, paid off 2 others last year. After paying off my cards this week an interest rate was charged that occurred within the billing cycle, which added $22 to what was a zero balance. This same thing occurred with my Discover card, which I also paid off last week. Discover happily removed the interest rate, though it was a valid charge. Their decision was based on a courtesy to me, as a loyal customer. I understood that I was asking Capital One of a favor, to forgive the $22. They chose not to. And, I chose to permanently close all 4 of my accounts with them. For the sake of keeping a loyal customer, I think I would have chosen differently. In fact, as a small business owner I have forgiven small fees to retain a loyal client. Needless to say, I will continue to use Discover. Thanks for your services Capital One.

Generally speaking I’m not a fan of “online banking “. Complex user names & passwords are required and I forget them. However I’m loving Capital One’s app! Especially with the IPhone X series (I have the XR). With the facial recognition of IPhone X & Capital One identifying me with facial recognition on the app I can keep track of my master card charges easily & securely. I can make payments with the push of 1 button w/o entering & re-entering passwords. To set up Apple Pay I called Capital One & a gentleman named ANTOINE assisted me in setting up Apple Pay. ANTOINE answered all my questions pertaining to Capital One & Apple matters. That kind of extra customer service is very rare now a days. ANTOINE’S customer care is the reason people want to continue doing business with a company and why I enjoy banking with Capital One.
christophace - Misleading Due Date / No App Support
I checked my app on Feb. 27 and it showed “No Payment Due” for March. Opened it again on March 5 to make a payment anyway, and it showed payment due March 2, and assessed $38 late fee. On March 6, it showed payment due April 2, and would only allow me to make minimum payment equivalent to double the monthly amount. I had to call Capital One and make March payment over the phone and speak to two different reps before getting credit for the late fee. I have screenshots of the false/misleading due date info, but Capital One reps did not want me to send to them for investigation and remedy. Feedback within the app is limited to SELECTING ONE OF FIVE FACE EMOJIS- FROWNY TO SMILEY. No text option for meaningful feedback. App support at the App Store level is a link to Capital One website offering general account services only. I can only conclude that Cap One is aware, responsible and happy with the faulty and misleading function of this app as I’m sure that I’m not the only one who has suffered wrongful fees. Will report to State AG, FTC and CFPB.
Creole C - Part Smokescreen, Part Glitch, Part Stonewall...
I wanted to ask about an increase to my credit line and this app told me “Something went wrong. Try again later.” This app will not give you an option to speak with a human representative until AFTER it has initiated a “hard pull” on your credit score! The glitch in the robot’s programming will drag down your credit score without you ever even speaking to an actual person. Once you finally do get a human customer service rep on the phone, all they can do is apologize for the robot! Now I’ve got to send a written dispute to TransUnion via certified mail! Had I spoken to an actual person this minor nightmare would never have happened. My advice to YOU is to use this app for information only. If you have a question regarding your credit, do not speak to a robot or give it any financial information. Professor Devine - Might Lock Your Account
On one hand, this is a great mobile banking app and the mobile deposits are easy and fast, but on the other hand, if you deposit money into a near-empty account they might lock you out without warning. I had to deposit $4,000 into an account that I don’t use often and they locked me out without permission for “safety.” The idea is that, if the deposit was flawed and the money wasn’t actually going to be moved, you don’t go thousands of dollars into the negative— but the problem is they NEVER ASKED ME, so I suddenly lost access to my bank account, my job is hounding me to buy the materials I need for the project, and I have to explain to them why Capital One suddenly froze my bank account. This made it impossible for me to start my job when I needed to and now I’m behind and look unprofessional, and, 72 hours later, they still haven’t done anything about it no matter how many times I call. This is outrageous.
T.o.double d - It’s ok but it could be better
Wish they would let you do a same day payment or give you a 24hr grace period, I paid my minimum payment the day it was due only to find out that the payment could only be set for the following day and the money I paid just got deducted back for being late. I don’t see why you can’t set up a payment on the same you’re making it. Sometimes the updates can be a pain too, make sure u keep it updated otherwise next thing you know payments due but you haven’t opened the app for a couple weeks and now it’s telling you this version is not supported and you must update the app and uh oh your wifi is weak and now the app won’t update times up you’re late darn here comes the late fee again. Ps I think the balance should update faster as well and can I choose my payment due date? I haven’t figured that out yet but it sure would be better for me if I could. Other than that seems to work good.

In these unprecedented times capital one comes out on the bottom in comparison to other credit card companies. I have lost my job for over 8 weeks. I called other credit card companies to help offset my compounding credit card interest fees debts. Discover and a few other credit card companies has offered such relief. Discover is really great, maybe the greatest credit card company. They eliminated the interest fees from the present, future and past monthly interest fees. I know, That's crazy right?
However capital one won't give you back a penny. They only offer to extend your minimum payment. That's not an offer because you're still accruing interest on your balance. It's times like this which shows the true character of a company. I liked capital one before but after experiencing very little effort to extend any kind of incentives to their customers I'll stick with other credit card companies.
Sorry capital one. I've lost trust and loyalty for your company. I can't wait to pay off my balance to close my credit card with you. The catchy slogans and commercials are bull$|-|it. They want to keep their credit card in your pocket so you keep paying those ridiculous interest rates. They're only looking to make money off of you. You're just a number. Go with other more understanding credit card companies.

Out of all of the credit companies I’ve tried Capital One has been the most rewarding and strait forward. I’ve been a member of Capital One since 2018.
I’ve seen this app progress as the company has. It’s very intuitive and everything is very easy to get to including interest rates etc. for my individual cards something That other companies hide so well, that I’ve had to call directly.
I love how quick the customer service response is and how willing their representatives are to work with customers like myself. They’ve helped me threw many trials and I’m very grateful.
In all I love this app as much as the company that produced it and there aren’t too many other places I can find the same service. Thank you Capital One.
BJMas - Capital 1 Saved Me
When my husband of 47 years passed away I found myself with an income that was a third of what it was. My bills were twice my income. I had no choice but to go bankrupt. I had always had a credit rating of 780+ and suddenly I couldn’t pay my bills. It was very emotional event for me. All our savings were gone. No business or bank would give me credit. Capital 1 was the only bank that would give me a credit card. I found having a card to be a comfort. I no longer had any money for repairs of any kind. I could not even afford tires for my car. I am an old lady and I am sure that didn’t help. I have to say thank you Capital 1 for giving me a chance to right myself again. I will always keep you in my pocket. Thank You from a lonely heart.
Hmbock - Stop forcing people to update
I feel like it’s complete crap you force people to update. I was unable to use your app for over year with my old phone because I did not have enough space to update. I had your app that wouldn’t work because every time I try to open it so I had update. Have a new phone now just barely got your app in here you’re already asking me to update. It’s great if you wanna make improvements but stop forcing people to have to update if we’re fine with the old version just leave us alone with the old version because all you’re doing is causing people that have no memory on the photo not be able to use your app at all.
Update: yet another update stop making people have to update why don’t you let us choose if we want update I’m so sick of these updates every little bit give us the option. When my phone runs out of memory I’m just not gonna be able to use this app anymore because you can’t use it without the updates stop with the freaking updates!!!!
Johnking20144013 - They steal your money
I went to unlock my card last Saturday night and found both my checking account and savings account were missing from the app. There was a message “there is a problem with your account, please contact customer service to resolve it.” Unfortunately it was midnight so no customer service reps were available. I called the next day and they said there was no problem and it was most likely a glitch in the app and I should try updating it. I had the most recent version and the problem resolved itself. But just the inconvenience of not being able to access my money makes mE not want to use this bank anymore. I suggest everyone switch to Chime. Great customer service. Great mobile app. And direct deposits are available up to 48 hours earlier than Capital One.
Oh. And yes I have several times seen my balance drop without any record of withdrawal. Chime sends you a daily alert with your balance. So I know exactly how much money I have. #ByeBoomers
