Guess I’ll watch my HBOgo, Netflix, STARZ and Showtime Anytime apps since they do. Time to catch up folks, you just lost my business...
There’s no way to stream to any third party devices ie. my chrome cast. My other services like HBO Go stream to my chrome cast, not sure why this service doesn’t. Frankly, only have Cinemax because some I’ve my movies I would watch on HBO Go got switched over to this app.
I got rid of my cable/satellite provider and have a online streaming service. I purchased HBO and Cinemax through PS Vue. I can use the HBO Now app, but not the HBO Go app. There is only this Cinemax Go app which requires you to sign in with a cable/satellite provider and there are no options for those of us who pay for Cinemax as a standalone channel. There needs to be more sign in options or make a Cinemax Now app like you have with HBO for the rest of us who are tired of the cable/satellite companies.
Needs an Appletv app. I don’t watch movies on my phone. I also don’t want to mirror things from my phone as this kills the battery and shortens the life span of the phone battery. This is 2018, how do you not have an app on every streaming box possible. Just WOW. Smdh
Hmm... included as a premium plus feature with AT&T but can’t login anymore.
Unless 5 inch screen of iPhone is the intended viewing screen this is just about useless as no casting is enabled.
Doesn’t cast to television
Yet another provider stuck in the 90s. Access requires a cable subscription and there’s no way to just give Cinemax your money for their programming. Nope, cable required. Hard pass.
Sorry, cancelled the service with the provider since there is still no Apple TV or Chromecast support (no, AirPlay doesn't count). You have all of that for the HBO Go app, but why not Max Go? If you got both of these in the app and actually kept it updated (iOS 12 is out but no big updates yet), I would renew my subscription. Until then, nope not a dime.
60+ million of these devices have been sold. It's not that you're so far behind as much as it's clear you just don't care.
This app could be great if there was more effort to constantly update this app and make it available on AppleTV and Roku. It doesn’t seem to be available on streaming devices, just mobile devices.
I installed the app on my iPad, I watch one movie and after that it signs me out, I try to log back in and it says I do not subscribe to Cinemax, (I do). I have to uninstall the app and reinstall every time I want to use it. And how about making it available on roku? I am considering canceling my subscription because it just isn’t as good as all the other premium channels.
Either get it together with the casting or just call it quits like Encore did with STARZ and roll that content into HBO where it’ll be seen.
The app is great but with no cast ability it’s rated significantly lower.
This app requires a major upgrade! Should allow to broadcast through your TV. Selection of shows need to be more precise
Use w/ 1st gen iPad and IPhoneX. Never had a problem. Easy to use.
I would like to be able to download the app in my Apple TV instead of streaming from my phone. Can you develop an app for Apple TV, please?
horrendous app, besides basic streaming on your apple device. it offers no versatility.
I have no idea how people are having problems with airplay to Apple TV or with chromecast as I have both devices and streaming from the App is super easy. An Apple TV app would be nice but you still can literally do anything on your phone while casting to either aforementioned device. Low ratings on here are from low tech users who can take the time to write a complaint but can’t learn how to use their devices. Unreal. Love the app and selection of films.
Cannot cast to tv.
