RBC Launch Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Bloated and Unnecessary. Why do I have to download a second app just to add my RBC card to Apple Pay? Why isn’t that function included with the RBC banking app? Also what sort of bloat and spyware is included in this app. It’s over 200 MB. Microsoft Outlook is only 220 by comparison.

Seamless!. The new update to this app is a game changer. Personally, it adds so much convenience to my everyday banking on the go. Whether I’m using the calendar function to plan my finances, or exchanging money with friends, RBC Wallet allows me to feel a strong sense of control over my money while maintaining a sense of security.

Love the updated app!. I like the new app and features that I get to try.

Ridiculous bloatware backed by incompetent infrastructure. Let’s start with the obvious: Requiring customers to download a proprietary app to be able to use a built-in iOS function is ridiculous. No other bank necessitates this, only RBC prevents you from simply going directly into Apple Pay and adding a card. Secondly, verification is broken. If you’re not the primary account holder using the primary client card with the primary card number, it just doesn’t work. The app doesn’t even recognize verification attempts for secondary client cards with different numbers than the primary. Trying to circumvent the app with support or through text messages just makes the secondary cards get denied when attempting to pay for purchase with Apple Pay. Thirdly, using the app directly and letting it try and add a card to Apple Pay itself automatically forces the primary card to get added with no option for secondary cards to even be chosen. This is what happens when you poorly design your infrastructure to be dependent on client card numbers as identifiers than actual accounts/people.

great stuff. works well i can access everything on a more quick and sleep layout

Terrible App. Signing into this app is a poor user experience at best. I need to use it because the other two forms of Apple Wallet verification do not work. Specifically, your password fields don’t seem to allow paste functionality over a specific number of characters.

Amazing. This app is so great. Life changing.

New update just broke the app. What a poor, unorganized release. Was forced to update the app and now the tap to pay function is officially broken. Don't waste your time. Stick to TD.

Great app. But latest update will not allow us to update

Where’s Apple Pay support in Canada?. Not since Facebook split out Messenger has a company had such a stupid split as the RBC split between the RBC Mobile App and the RBC Wallet App. I don’t want a stupid Wallet App from my Bank, I want my bank to support Apple Pay. No Touch ID, No 1Password integration. How am I supposed to keep a secure password if I have to type it every time I use the App - that’s how you force people to change their passwords to asdfqwer.

Fewer features than the Wallet at it replaced. I was really happy with the RBC wallet app. It had all the features I needed within a single click. Somehow this app has fewer features and is harder to use. Imagine launching a banking app that doesn’t tell you the available balance on your CC. User hostile are the words I would use.

Cant access my transaction histories. Is there any issues like this

Mot de passe non accepté.. Lorsque j’inscris le mot de passe pour j’ai la réponse Ce n’est pas à ce que m’attendais. iPad 8e génération. Le problème semble s’être résorbé. Je viens de réussir à me servir de l’application.

Won’t load contacts. The split bill option is a wonderful idea but only loads a handful of random contacts from your phone and you have to manual add each contact … which wouldn’t be a problem of it didn’t then create a duplicate contact on your phone … it needs work this app. I called to try to get some help with this but they were unable to solve the problem. Hopefully soon it be a working feature .

Cool functionality, execution needs some work. Looks like it has some cool capabilities, but found a couple issues. I couldn’t start a recipient from scratch when I wanted to send money and when I click the “Payback with Points” button I get a something when wrong notification. Also is there a way to add my savings account to Cash@Hand?

What is this app for?. Not sure what the purpose of this app is, I don’t see anything apart from what I already see in the main app. There is FaceID but the feature doesn’t work, just greyed out. Other parts of the app show error messages. Like much of the RBC IT infrastructure it appears they lack UAT before cleaning up glaring errors. Update, following RBCs “sales pitch” response: I deleted the app, these bells and whistles are useful especially as I bank across multiple institutions and countries. It’s a pity that RBC can’t fix basic issues with its website ie login area not working in Firefox, online appointment booking down for a week, and much more.

No Apple wallet support. The app claims to have apple Wallet app support, as per apple store but there is no way to add cards to Wallet app. I guess this is meant to be apple play support, which also is not supported.

Card confirmation. I have always been able to access my card details using Face recognition Why was it changed?

RBC. Very good app RBC is very easy to use and save money!!

Mauvaise service Escroquiez. Merci

Unable to see transactions after last update. I didn’t want to write an iTunes review to tell you that you broke a key feature. However the link to “contact you” about the app. Just takes you to the RBC website. That’s not useful. It should take you to a specialized form for communication about the app specifically. So since you made it hard to do that. I’ll vent it on here instead.

App doesnt work on iphone 12 pro max. App instantly crashes after opening it

Problem preferences. I have a problem with the app, I can’t log in to my existing easy split account.. I can’t only register. I already created one on the website and can’t use two time my phone number or my email. You should change the preferences so you can login to an existing easy split account made from the website, or modify the information or close accounts.

Whyyyy??. Is this is the reason we don't have Apple Pay yet? Rbc wants to create an app to add redundant functionality so they can track our purchases with gift cards? Really?

Face ID. My Face ID is blocked

Too many applications. What I don’t really understand is why do i have to have 4-5 different applications for the same bank ? Each feature is on a separate application..how about all of those to be combined since major actions require a browser login? Those apps should be features in the main RBC mobile..

Frustrating. Trying to get Apple Pay on my phone and have to log into rbc wallet to verify and when I log in all is does is glitch and send me out of the app. No way to get into the app

Useless for Apple Pay on multiple devices. It seems this is now the only way to add RBC cards to Apple Pay. Which is unfortunate and confusing. Now, if you go through the Apple apps, it fails. That does work fine though this app — for one device. But, if you want to add a card to Apple Pay on more than one device — like an iPhone and an Apple Watch — you can’t. And there is no way to do so. At all. Since I use Apple Pay to pay at virtually every place I shop and sometimes have only my iPhone or only my Apple Watch, this severely impacts my lifestyle. I’m looking at other banks as a result.

Only useful to add cards to Apple Wallet. useless app aside from being a requirement to add your RBC cards to Apple Wallet. If you’ve been having trouble adding RBC cards to Apple wallet, it’s because you need to go through this app to do it.

Pointless.. Really needs to be integrated into the main banking app. This app as a stand alone app is totally useless, and no one likes to be forced to download anything

Missing Data. If the intent of the “Upcoming Activities” was to alert users to soon to happen transactions based on the past 3 months it is woefully lacking in detail in my case. I have received 5 regular deposits, the exact same amount in all 5 cases, for the past 8 months and the app forecasts that in Oct I will receive $0. This does not give me a lot of confidence in the applications capability.

Your voice recording still calls it RBC Wallet. I called for support and your intro message says to download RBC Wallet from the App Store and use it to add cards to Apple Wallet. This is very confusing as it is now called RBC Launch as I’m sure you know.

Lock feature. Lock unlock feature on my credit card has a bug. I have to erase the app, reload it then it works a couple of times , then I have to repeat process continuously.

Merge all apps. I think RBC apps would be more useful if you merged them into one. It's a bit annoying to use 3 different apps for my banking (mobile, wallet, rewards) and on top of that ApplePay. You always encourage your clients to go mobile but quite frankly it becomes too complex. Make it simple RBC!

Application inutile.

Always a problem. This app always has a problem, whether it be technical problems when signing in, or messages just popping up saying “something went wrong” (currently happening to me right now). It’s terrible, because I then have to call them AND RESET THE APP WHICH TAKES TIME THAT I DONT HAVE.

Confusing!!!!!!!!!!!!. I am a senior and find all these apps are confusing and have to go to different apps. I think that Royal Bank has forgotten that their clientele includes a large portion of senior clients. Today ,all I wanted to do was pay my bills and found that the connection via rbc.com wouldn’t let me have access to online banking indicating that the cookies for the site is missing and I should contact C.S. The COOKIES I HAD ALL THIS TIME FOR RBC.COM HAVE MAGICALLY GONE MISSING SINCE I DIDN'T DELETE THEM. I decided to upload rbc.com thinking I can use that as it may include the cookies. I can’t use this to pay my bills. I do not want cash for purchases as I do not purchase from any of the listed companies. RBC and companies listed may have advantages for themselves and in a way prodding us to choose where we shop.(for example buy from Rona instead of Homeware, Lowe’s or Home Depo) If we are getting a 3% of purchase price it is worth for us clients which the companies will have to bear and loose on sales. But we are not getting even 1%. Unless we spend $1000.00 and more , it is not worth at all. It will also get more business accounts of Companies to RBC at the expense of us clients. I have been a client of RBC since January of 1975 . I only do online banking to pay bills and some bills are automatically paid via banking account. I do not wish to have all these Apps but just have access to the site I have been all this while. If this is the way RBC manipulate us clients and businesses ,I will seriously consider changing banks within the next 3 months.

Veiled Shopping App. I thought this was supposed to have features for understanding spending patterns. Instead, it’s central tab is a shopping tab for you to spend more money.

Activity management. Hello RBC. The transactions are not translated in French. Thanks

Transfers. Not clear how can I transfer between accounts and e transfer from the mobile app

Nice interface and info. I like the information provided within this app and the way it’s presented. Would love the ability to identify which of my chequing accounts to include in the “cash on hand” predictive area. I eventually hope that they integrate the NOMI aspects of the RBC Mobile app with this app (or integrate this app into RBC Mobile). Off to a great start!

Login. I am disappointed that although I use my face ax my login I’m forced everyday to login with my password. This is ridiculous. Using facial recognition is much more secure than a password. It makes access to my app lengthy because I am forced to copy and paste my rather long and secure password when I can gain access through Face ID in a matter of seconds. This is utterly stupid! Fix it.

RBC Launch disables Face ID for all other RBC apps. If you open RBC launch app it will prevent Face ID from working in other RBC apps. You will need to login to the other apps with username and password, disable Face ID close the relevant RBC app then open again, login and enable Face ID to activate it again.

Remind me why I have this...?. I think the only reason I now have this redundant pointless app is because it was necessary to set up RBC cards in iOS Wallet? Otherwise it just seems to duplicate RBC Mobile functions (badly) and clutter my phone.

Useless. What's the point of this app? Bring us Apple Pay instead.

Redeem point button doesn’t work!!!. When the payback point appears page appears, the Redeem points button is not clickable anymore. It’s ridiculous, how can I use my points?!!!

FIFA king. Very satisfying app

Nice UI, I don’t really see the point, however. Nice looking app. It basically just shows the same balances and info the banking app does. I personally don’t find it too useful. Also, the Face ID sign in doesn’t seem to want to stay on.

Great web. Great job

Last update issue. After updated to the last version can’t log in anymore. The error message concerning the log in credentials is “oops,we’re expecting to something else” The only way to log in is through RBC mobile app.

RBC is the best in Canada…. ….and I’ve been a client with all the big 5…

Nice new app. Easy to check balances!

Stopped working. It’s been a couple of weeks now and App crashes on startup. Link for App support does not exist. iPhone 12 iOS 16

The app simply does not work. Ive tried logging in multiple time but it always tell me "that wasn't what we expected" as if my password is incorrect, it's not since I do not have trouble logging in other RBC apps and on my computer. I even reset my password but it still doesn't work. Who do I contact? I want to use the app. Thank you

Can’t get it to work with iOS. When signing in, I can’t scroll down and read the electronic access agreement, or click to accept it. The application simply won’t work for me. Uninstall and reinstalling didn’t help.

Pathetic. Half the time I try to use this app I get “technical issues” when I try to log in or send money. Also RBC thinks two-factor authentication means asking your security question after your password on every login. This is ridiculous. Just implement proper 2FA.

Finger print id does not function but worked at one time. and was very efficient.

RBC Launch = REDUNDANT. C’mon RBC … this rebranding of RBC LAUNCH has completely taken away our ability to use our phones to pay and go. It’s a regression to have to dig for cards to pay AND you did it without notifying clients!! Do better. Offloaded the app, what’s the point? I do my banking on RBC mobile. Horrible.
