Great app! Missing ONE thing 🤞. I LOVE GroupMe. I use it for groups at school, at work, and for one-on-one conversations as well. All around, it’s great. It has a clean user interface, it’s fast, in real time. I love being able to add gifs, polls, videos, pictures, etc to our chats. My only irks as far as videos and pictures go is the quality is LOW. I recommend taking videos or picture outside of the app on your normal camera and uploading, versus using the in app GroupMe camera. I’ve also found that pictures uploaded still lose quality, so if there’s any small text then zooming in on it is just not worth it since it will end up blurry. Outside of that, I have no complaints for the media, etc. The ONLY thing I wish this app would offer is PINNED messages. I run multiple chats for work, and being able to pin/star/etc important messages for everyone to access and refer back to would be AMAZING. I think this would be a great feature to offer to admins of groups. You can search most popular messages, but this is not always useful if the messages that need to be seen by new members, etc, are too far back in the chat to be relevant in the popular messages anymore. If this feature was added, GroupMe would take the cake for, in my opinion, the best group messaging app. Outside of this, the app is great, it does what it’s supposed to, and it’s reliable!

Why is there so many scams on this app?. I am not sure if someone's account got hijacked or not, but one morning I received a message from GroupMe Support that said "Hello! We sent you a FREE iPhone 11 Pro; Congratulations! Claim now." I've read up online that this is clearly a scam much like the other I received a few months back from a random person. This could be someone impersonating GroupMe's support by going under their name and using their profile picture, but something needs to be done about it. This scam has costed some people their personal and bank information because there is no way of them knowing if this is official or not when a scam disguises itself to make it look more official, but I recommend that you all increase the security and single out any bots or impersonators. I even got a random message from a bot account that wanted to share me "inappropriate photos" on a link, seriously? I am not sure how these people even opening conversations with me as I haven't shared my profile and I don't have them added on my social media profile. It's a bit annoying to know that you don't have actual privacy from these circumstances other than to block the user. I hope the app's security is majorly enforced to prevent scams like this from going around on it.

Connecting. I just wanted to say that I love your app first of all. It’s a great way to communicate with people. I just started using it matter fact it’s the only one that I signed up for I don’t use the computer that much anymore matter fact not at all during thing I use it for is to look up stuff I need for work and I’ve always was against Facebook and all the other stuff I thought it was too much but now I have your app and I use it to be connected with families for church and it lets me communicate with those people when I’m not at church and I love it for that. awesome company give up the good work I know people complain about certain apps they have where it they fail they are down they don’t work right well since I’ve been using this app never had a problem with anything nothing but five stars for me and two thumbs up...

Glitch Control to Major Tom!. I have used GMe extensively for several years for many applications, especially small, social group scheduling. I ceased use for the last 8 months since the pandemic. Just started using it again and finding numerous glitches in the schedule forum. For example, when typing the location, there are dots in the left corner, but when typing text, you can’t see the letters unless typing a very long name. When dropping down from the location line to enter a physical address, it will not allow the ability to enter a street address. Then when entering a description, if you type out a longer description, but then make a mistake, you have to delete any text filling your typo by using backspace. You cannot just move the cursor to the mistake and edit. Like I said, these are all new issues. I’ve never experienced this before. It seems that GMe has gone the way of the neglect of a larger parent organization buying out a great platform and then ruining it by assuming it can run on auto-pilot, leaving behind the hard work that the startup company invested to make it great.

No safeguards to protect kids from predators. Be aware that there is a button on the bottom of group me that allows you to browse and join public groups. There are all kinds of groups including groups with inappropriate content for kids. Also be aware that if you, or a child/teenager joins one of these groups, you/they are visible to everyone in that group and you can now be direct messaged by members of that group. This happened to my son and he was direct messaged by complete strangers (supposedly women) who started asking him for personal info, like what he likes to do and where he lived. I contacted Group Me to see if there were any parental controls to control what groups children can join and they said there are none. It does not matter what protective/content settings you have on the phone. The Group Me App is not subject to those settings. It is backdoor access straight to your kid. It is unconscionable that Group Me has no way to protect kids from viewing inappropriate content and to protect them from predators.

Use a different group app. This app is buggy and most importantly completely void of any security. You can’t delete chats or block people who you don’t know the phone number to like stalkers, creepy strangers, and mostly scam bots. People who aren’t in you contacts or groups can still direct message you with no way to block, only can ‘hide’ messages. Fat lot of good that does. Bots will contact you for sure, advertising porn and free iphones but GroupMe lets them do it because they don’t care about user security. You will get spammed. Even in normal use it’s a bad app when compared even to email. You can’t send audio, high quality images, video over 30 seconds. You can’t delete posts or search through a group chat. Sometimes you won’t get notifications for no reason. The app loads for a million years. You’ll even get issues logging in and creating an account ‘unknown error’. It’s just a bad app and completely ridiculous they have 4.7 stars. They must be buying reviews is all I can think of

Needs some updates.. I have been using group me for over 2 years and it is pretty good, except when you try to watch a video it glitches then takes a long tome then it finally lets you. Also i will see that i get a new group me message and it won’t let me view it. The main reason i am writing this review is because of how group me logs you out. i have been logged out multiple times and it is very hard to get back into your account. It logged you out and you can’t get back in. it won’t let me try to type in my email or password. I have been trying for almost and hour and can’t get back in. i am very disappointed because there is some very important information i need to see and i can’t get to. GroupMe please fix this problem. My group me is hacked and i need to get in please group me fixed this problem!!!! i am very mad and i need to get in my group me and stop sending me ads that i won something! please group me stop doing this and fix my account!!

GET THIS APP ASAP Read this if you are interested in getting this app!. I loveeee group me! I love everything about it. The gifs, polls, calendar, GroupMe emojis, the ability to send videos and pictures, but there is one thing that I have been trying to change in settings for a while. Saving images taken on GroupMe. It’s soooo annoying to go back to my camera roll and delete the photos and videos that I don’t want saved on my camera roll, but I want sent to a group or DM in GroupMe. Please change this ASAP. I love practically everything except that one feature I mentioned. Also be aware that you can only DM or have a group chat with people that have GroupMe. That doesn’t seem to bother me much. If you are looking for a good group messaging and DM app, then you HAVE to get this app. I communicate with my family (and created a family chat), my friends, and it’s quick and easy! It’s hard to swoop by this app without getting it. Defiantly recommended!

Great, would love more admin privileges. I work with students, teachers and other types of groups with leaders and so have several groups going. The app has helped with organization, collaboration and of course communication. I get more done because of GroupMe. It is so much more effective than email. My plea/suggestion is this: please allow chat admins to configure a chat so that only they can post messages and the rest of the group can “like” or participate in polls and such. With students, it’s easy to get chatter going that puts the number of messages into the hundreds and thousands and they’re just messing around. Then the substantive messages get lost so that the people who persevere have a terrible time sorting out the fluff from the real stuff while other people understandably set notifications to “do not disturb” or leave the chat altogether. I’d like to be able to set a chat with several dozen people for one-way communication and have another group where everyone can chatter and ask/answer questions. That would help my job a ton!

Hacked?? No longer trusting the app. Hey GroupMe - what’s up with the pop-ups I’m getting asking for my date of birth or I can no longer use the app? I checked it out on the web and found that it was required for security to make sure I was 18 or older so I entered it. Then I received a “GroupMe Support” message and pop up saying I was selected for being a loyal user to receive an iPad. I was curious and tapped the link because it was within an app I trusted and wanted to see if it was legit. It said I won and asked for name and address and then to check the box agreeing to the terms and conditions which were not given in a link there. I had to scroll way down to find a tiny link. When you read the terms and conditions, they plan to charge you $19 immediately and then after 7 days, another $87 for 30 days and that they have full access to use your account information. I think I need to close my GroupMe account and take our group elsewhere.

Just a few bugs. GroupMe has always been a great place for my friends, coworkers, and acquaintances to talk, chat, and laugh. Never ever disliked anything about it, other than the fact that every so often the app won’t open for days. It’s happening currently, and I haven’t been able to use the app since about 4 days ago. I’ll receive notifications from it, but every time I try and check them or respond the app sits at the initial opening then will force itself closed. Somehow this makes my phone freeze for multiple seconds and slows down all the functions for more seconds after it unfreezes. Hopefully it will resolve itself. 🤷‍♂️ Other than this slight detriment, I love the app and the ability to be able to communicate about so many events, topics, or even memes.

Constant unwanted spam. This app is very Inefficient. The Group App control features does not allow to delete unwanted groups or spam messages. Instead, it gives a feature to “hide it”. There’s another selection it gives to block the message. However, it is useless if it is suppose to “Block” unwanted iM’s. You would think if there’s a “Block” selection It would work like a spam blocker that blocks unwanted messages from an ad or sender. To be honest, I don’t know or understand what it is blocking. I continue to get spammed with unwanted ads that I won stuff and weird messages from people that’s not in my contacts that I cannot delete or block. This app needs a huge reconfiguration. I don’t even want to talk about the time consuming process It takes to block or hide each message. There should be a feature to select multiple group messages that allows the person to actually delete the messages from the app. Also, a “Block” selection that literally does it’s purpose.

I use it because I have to. It’s almost like this app is used by so many people because.. it’s used by so many people. So many groups use it as a main form of communication that it does become a necessity app. However, it’s built like a cheap scaffolding or paper house. I’ve arrived at numerous glitches: messages not loading, the app not loading, password reset issues, it not remembering my email for a few days (how does that happen?) notifications not coming through until I click on the app, profile pictures and names not updating in real time (not even after weeks of people changing them) not being able to add people to groups despite them having the app & a verified phone number after numerous attempts, and an overall ugly UI. Those are my complaints. Although managing so many threads and accounts and messages has to be a challenge in and of itself, I just feel like it can’t be that hard to put a little money into making it work better and more smoothly. It is free though and it works 80% of the time as intended, and everyone is on it so as of now it’s probably one of the best group chat mediums.

Launching via lock screen. When I receive a message and tap on it to pull up the app, it needs to switch to the chat feed to which the message I’m replying to belongs. It does no good to be able to switch to the app by tapping on a message I get from a person/group if the active thread is going to remain on whichever person/group I was using last. Very frustrating to have to remember to double check which thread I’m in when I just tapped on a message from a particular person/group. It would stand to reason that if I tap on a lock screen message from, say, my wife, that it would switch to my chat feed with her when the app comes up and not remain in, say, the group chat feed I have with colleagues if that’s the group to which I last sent a message. Please fix this

Support is apparently unreliable. Problem solved. No notification was given until asked. Here it is: “ The path to the feature in the UI has changed. To use Clear chat history, please follow these steps: 1) Tap the the header of a DM or group to navigate to the Chat details screen 2) Tap the "..." (or more button) in the top right 3) You should find Clear chat history there.” I notified Support a month ago saying that the “clear text” option in Support was not working. They told me it would get fixed. For one day, it was fix. The next day that option of deleting prior messages was completely removed, no longer listed anywhere on the app. I believe the clear prior messages is essential. Without it I find no longer useful reason to keep it.

Unhappy. Unfortunately, everyone uses GroupMe instead of Telegram or the Band App for school and church (large groups of ppl). So, I have a bunch of groups and one thing I absolutely hate is: 1. I can’t post more than 3 pics at a time (I have the iPhone 14 Pro). If I do 5 it freezes and crashes. The photos keep spinning and never post and I can’t delete it or stop it or retry. It just spins. I can’t even post video clips into the chat. 2. The calendars can’t repeat so if you’re group meets weekly or does something monthly, you have to create a new calendar each time. 3. Admin should be able to adjust RSVP in calendars. For example, if I sent a calendar event to 35 people and I know one person is in the ER and can’t RSVP I should be able to change her rsvp to No. It’s easier to visually see and manage events. I have provided feedback several times and no changes. The Band app you could do this. Overall, group me has so many things it could improve on. On the positive, I do like the topics that they launch where you can categorize the conversation.

App quality. Had the app freeze on me a number of times but last week it was stuck on the loading screen and I couldn’t used my phone for hours. I couldn’t even hard reset my iPhone. I was trying everything and accidentally hit my lock button 5 times, which calls the police. The call went thru but since I could not leave the loading screen and use my phone I couldn’t hang up and had to explain to them what happened. They sent people over to my house at midnight to check on us and my parents had no idea what was going on and I had to calm them down and get us back to sleep before we woke up at 4am the next day to catch a flight for vacation. Didn’t have a phone for some of the vacation until I was finally able to hard reset. I love talking to my friends on this application but I have had multiple problems with the quality. This past time was the worst it’s ever gotten and I just got a brand new phone so it can’t be that.

Solid App. I wish there were some additional features to make this more customizable. For instance a “like” option or “thumbs up” option for different comments that people leave or a way to customize the background or appearance of the message board itself. Otherwise this is a great way to communicate with a group of people. I use this for my baseball team and it’s a great way to know who is commenting on what without having to put all their information into my phone and everyone else’s phone. It clearly shows who is commenting or asking questions. It even allows me to send a direct message to one or two of the people inside the entire group without having to say certain things to everyone on the group chat. I also use this separately for my coaches so we can discuss things we need to work on in practice or cover before games. Overall I like the app and recommend it to other people.

Okay. I love this app! The only problem is the that it asked me how old I was and then said it was suspending me because I was under age! The app is rated 4+! I am 12!!!!!!!! But other than that it is alright. The only thing I would recommend adding how to send a request to invite someone to join. Some of my friends don’t have text but can get app similar to this. How am I suppose to invite them? Maybe there is a simpler way tan sending an invite through text. But I haven’t found that! One bother thing- every now and then it turns my group on silent and then I don’t look to see if I got any messages. These two problems make me frustrated! But I love how there are no adds and that no one can just suddenly start a group with you unless you are in a group with them already. So that makes it safe. I would rate this game a 3.7 star review.

Bugs. I’ve always used group me and am happy with it, however, I have had a lot of trouble adding people to the groups. In big group chats that have been around a long time, people do not want to leave the group me or create a new one usually because there are good memories in the group. On multiple occasions I have been unable to add someone back to a group, either because they have left in the past or because they were removed. I have experienced this issue as an admin and a normal user in a group, and if it happens to one person, nobody in the group has the ability to add that person back. If that person is a vital member of the group, the entire group chat gallery and messages are lost because we have to create a new one. This has happened enough times for me to write a review about it. I am unhappy that our previous groups’ memories have been lost and become inactive and wish I was able to start the old chats again by adding the previous members back.

direct message fail. direct messages are not showing up!!! i’m the leader of an organizational I get a lot of direct messages,Until now I hadn’t been receiving them. I tried to figure out what the problem was, but this morning I woke up with a notification. It was a direct message, and when I clicked on it and I went into group me, it didn’t take me to the direct message. I refreshed group me went out of the app came back in restarted my phone, tried everything, and I couldn’t get to that message. Thankfully I remembered who sent it, and I went into a group and found their profile and clicked direct message, and when I clicked direct message-their message finally came up. so I did that with some other groups, and some other people in those groups, and realized I had a bunch of unread direct messages that groupme wasn’t showing me. and I can possibly do that with all the groups, because there’s just too many people, and I know that I have unread messages and it’s really really frustrating and there seems to be no way to fix it

Great idea, bad execution. I’ve been using group me for several years now, and it’s honestly been more annoying than helpful as the years go on. I am aware that these are pretty minor things, but it’s the little stuff that makes the whole experience way smoother. First off, you can’t delete any groups once they’ve gone past their usefulness (ie. the event it was created for has happened). As someone who can’t stand clutter because it makes it hard to find what I need, that’s really irritating. The old group chat just sits there, uselessly, and very much in the way. Second, if you get a notification for a group me message and click on it to read the message (cause it’s faster and that’s what everyone does), then the notification badge never goes away until you get another message, go to the home screen, and click on the app itself. Thirdly, adding people is a hassle because you can’t tell what will add them to the group. Sometimes it’s an email, sometimes it’s a phone number, sometimes I wanna tear something apart because of how frustrating it can get. Again, I know these are really small things, but honestly making the app even just a bit more user friendly will go a long way. I really don’t enjoy feeling like I have told hold a seance and commune with the group me ghosts just so I can figure out how to work the app.

It’s not getting any better. Make it more like Discord. And before you tell me to just go use Discord, I already do, but literally no one else in my family or community does, so I’m stuck on GroupMe for all the family and friend stuff like outings and parties and whatnot. Let us edit a message, or even delete a message we sent. What good is it to just hide the message on only my device? Another thing I want is to be able to delete a one-on-one chat with someone. That’s all. I don’t want to “hide” it. I don’t want to “clear” it. I want to straight up delete it. It obviously wouldn’t delete it from their device, just mine. And then what would happen if they messaged me again? Oh it would behave like every other messaging app ever made and just create a new chat with the person on my device. And then when we were done chatting, I could delete it again, just like that. I don’t feel like I’m asking too much, but then again I’m no developer, so maybe I am. Maybe deleting stuff is near impossible. Apple somehow figured it out. I can delete any conversation I want from iMessage. But then they are known for their “it just works” way of doing things. You guys should ask them how they do it. Send them a kind, humble email asking them how in the world they figured out how to delete a one-on-one chat in iMessage. Please, do it for me.

An “All” feature. I love using this app to stay in contact with multiple groups that I take part in. The only feature that I think would make this app perfect and want to inquire about is an “all” button or feature. When I have to get an urgent message out to certains groups of people I find it incredibly time consuming to tag everyone in the message and sometimes certain individuals get left out, therefore they do not see the message. Is there any possible way you guys would be able to include this feature or is already coming in the future in an update? I really appreciate you guys taking this into consideration and I along with many colleagues agree that this would really improve our experience with this app and make it perfect.

Navigating Help is Terrible. I received an email that my account was changed over to another email, which was not done by me. I clicked on the link provided to indicate that this is an issue, and their “help page” does not have any link specific to the issue. Still trying to solve the problem, I emailed their support email with a quick little blurb about what’s going on and a screenshot of the email I received from them. My email got sent back for being too large, although it had less than a paragraph and one normal sized screenshot image. This experience has been excessively complicated and my problem is not resolved. I am now sitting with concern about having some random person accessing my account. Upon redownloading the app, it is only allowing me to create a new account rather than having any option to log in with a previously made account. I’ve had to spend way more time and energy than is necessary, and still have not been able to get through the process. I’m a 22 year old college student, so I’m fairly competent with technology, but this is ridiculous.

This app is full of crap.. Okay. I use groupme for one reason: it doesn’t require every member in a group chat to have group chat abilities on their device. That being said, it’s a load of crap. I hate it. If someone hasn’t responded, for one, they may not be getting the messages. Second, if *I* set up this group chat, and put these people on it, that means I have their contact information, so if they don’t want to be on it anymore, LET US TAKE CARE OF IT. IT IS NOT FOR THE APP TO DECIDE WHETHER THESE PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT TO BE A PART OF THE GROUP. Some people are also content to receive the messages and not reply. It’s a thing, believe it or not. Let the members of the group chat deal in their own affairs, and stop making assumptions, especially TWO SECONDS after I just deleted someone and put them back on FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF ALLOWING THEM TO SEE THE NOTIFICATIONS AGAIN!!! Honestly! Either cut that out or at least make it easier for someone to discontinue the discontinuation of notifications. This is an awful app and y’all whoever designed this piece of crap needs to get it fixed.

Great, but still room for immediate improvement. Love the apps ability to more efficiently control group communication and perform such from my computer while sending over SMS (not just the messaging platform). That said, there is an obvious improvement that they intentionally leave out. If people I think he group don’t’ accept the invitation to stay a part of the group, they are automatically removed from SMS (text) messages from the group. In short, they use an Opt In platform rather than Opt Out, which would be so much better! I use this for large group messages with parents who aren’t always super savvy or aware of the “Opt In” procedure, so I keep ending up with parents not receiving messages, leaving having to go back to text messages to make up for it. Annoying! Make it an Opt-Out structure and this is a clear 5 Stars!

Yas Queen🥳👑🔥. Group me is one of the best apps I have been using to contact people. This app lets me contact people, it has its own emojis, and it’s perfect for people who don’t have apple. However, this app deletes messages that you are not really active in. It does help if your inbox is filled but if you want to save something it’s not really good. But on the other hand it makes sure that you are actively talking to people so that’s great! I recommend this app seriously unless you not into that “deleting” thing. I don’t even know if that is true but when I first tried it that is what people told me to be careful about so.... Also, GroupMe lets you see the messages that happened before you got into the chat. That’s great so you can catch up on what’s been going on. It also lets you change what people see your name as so your name can change depending on you not other people unless they are the ones putting you in a chat. But overall, GroupMe is a great app. I totally recommend. Bye! 👑👑👑🥳🥳🥳🔥🔥🔥😏😏😏💋💋💋💋💋

Good for groups if people reply. We use GroupMe for a neighborhood chat to keep people informed. When people like or reply to messages everything works great. One really annoying feature of the app is if people stop replying or liking other people’s messages, it stops sending the group messages to the individual. They are still shown in the members of the group but they are no longer receiving messages or notifications. It would be awesome if people could continue receiving messages even if they didn’t reply or like others comments. Another annoying thing about the app is you’ll get messages that say they are from GroupMe support saying you’ve won an iPhone or whatever. They are total spam. I wish GroupMe would prevent those types of messages being sent to people inside their app. Overall the app is good. These are just my frustrations with the app.

Accessibility issues. I don’t know if I simply have a glitchy download or what but this app is driving me crazy with trying to use voiceover which is a screen reader. I am blind and this app has been very difficult to navigate. What’s worse than an app that is completely inaccessible? An app that appears to be accessible but after you have spent much time setting it up, it proves to be almost impossible to function as it should. I hardly get any notifications and when I follow a notification to the app the app immediately shuts down. I have not been able to add people to the group of volunteers I am setting up for ride requests. I had to figure out how to share a link through text message and many of the people I have invited are also having difficulty with the app. This app was suggested by several friends as a great platform for my needs and I really want it to work. I hope the team who created this app will take a look at these issues. When I open a calendar event, voiceover reads the top and then skips to the bottom and all of the information in between is not accessible. Therefore I cannot find out who has excepted my ride request.

Could use some tweaks, but overall I’d recommend. First, I would like to lead with PLEASE create a setting that allows me to disable people just adding me to group chats. Or at least have to request I join before adding me. I am overwhelmed by the number of chats I am added to on a pretty constant basis. But beyond that, the app is pretty user friendly and easy to navigate. I do wish you could pin messages so important ones aren’t missed, but you can search for a message within a group so you can easily find a message you’re looking for. There’s different chat themes which is cute, chats can be made private and require admin approval to add new people, and being able to determine how long you’d like to mute notifications is nice as well. It can get harder to navigate with larger groups especially if you have some chatty folks. A slow mode feature could be great, and improve experiences for larger groups (as far as I know it doesn’t yet exist right now). But overall, solid app.

Group name in notifications. Could y’all make it so that we can see which group a person belongs to in the notifications area? Specially the lock screen? Currently, if a GroupMe notification alerts your device, you only see the person’s name and not which group the person is from. It would be SOOO helpful, if I was able to see which group a person was chatting from without opening the app. For users involved in several groups with similar people, it’s critical to know which group the notification came from ASAP. iMessage has this feature and it is a lifesaver when you need to respond quickly. It’s like knowing it’s a friend from ‘hot yoga group’ asking about the last minute location change and not someone in your ‘biology study group’ asking were class is. Imagine being in different groups with people who have the same name! It’s so confusing when you read a message from John thinking it’s John your work supervisor when it’s really your best friend John sending you a picture of the roach he found in the bathtub. (Bc you cannot see pictures in the notifications which is another comment altogether). I still love this app! Best group messaging there is!

Was good, but ran into a major problem. I used to love GroupMe and I would use it for all my group activities that required lots of mass-communication. But recently, it started doing this thing where it doesn’t load all of the most recent messages until I send one. As you can imagine this is very inconvenient and makes me look like I’m not paying attention to the conversation, or I make a comment on something when ppl are talking about something completely different. One time someone sent a very sentimental and heartfelt message, but it never loaded on my end, so I sent a meme and it was very awkward. I don’t think this is just an internet issue though, because it happens to a lot of other people in various group chats. It’s a big deal to me because it kind of defeats the whole purpose of GroupMe if we can’t all communicate and receive messages effectively. It’s gotten to the point where I just don’t send messages anymore because I’m worried that I’ll have another incident like the one I mentioned. Please fix this and I’ll give you guys 5 stars, because otherwise it’s a really good app!

Setting group photos & cloning a group. I’ve enjoyed most of the new features that have been recently rolled out with a few exceptions... Setting group photos, please revert the change - I recently noticed that you cannot do a search to set the group photo anymore which is very annoying and now I have several groups without photos because it is more difficult to set the photo now. Please revert this setting back so that you can search for a photo Cloning, restrict to admin and group owners - cloning is a great idea so that creating new similar groups is much easier, BUT I would recommend restricting this privilege to group owners and admins. I have been in several groups where a group member thinks it would be funny to create a duplicate group and causes more problems than they need to. If this privilege was restricted to admin and group owners, the useful tool would be used by the correct people.

Good, but always glitchy. I’ve been using this app for 6 or 7 years now. Mainly started because we could never share videos and pics with groups that had iPhones and androids. Then I started using it because you can’t have more than 10 people on a group text so this was a way to stay connected to my much larger family without having to post on social media. I’ve loved it for that purpose. Fast forward and now every time I go in it it takes forever to load, sometimes it crashes before I get to see anything and definitely it’s hit or miss when trying to post something. It’s not like I have a super old phone either. I have an iPhone 13 Pro and completely updated. Sometimes this slowness and crashing effects me, sometimes it effects others in my groups. I just wish it was smoother all around.

Great App, but could be even better. This is a great app that I use every single day for a bunch of different group messages, but I feel like there are a few ways it could be improved to make it even more useful/ easier to use: Being able to view a picture from a notification without having to go into the app. It is very annoying to have to pull out my phone and go into the app to see the picture especially when I have an Apple Watch. It would be great to have an Apple Watch app to accommodate the iOS app. Along with being able to view a picture right from the notification this would be extremely useful with the new Apple Watch with cellular connectivity. Imagine if you are out going for a walk or run with just your Apple Watch Series 3 and someone sends you a picture. With the current system you would have to wait until you got home to view the picture. Another nice feature for the Apple Watch app would be the ability to see past messages instead of just the ones from notifications that go away when you tap on them. This would be just like how the messages app works on my Apple Watch.

THIS IS A WARNING. DO NOT USE THIS APP.. I’ve been using GroupMe for years, only because I have no other choice. This app is non-functional. It is incompetently designed and frustrating to use. Up until recently you could not delete messages, and even now you can’t even edit them to fix typos. It’s ability to connect to a device is pathetic, regardless of how strong your wifi or cellular data is. You can’t share videos that are more than 15 seconds long, and gifs only work half the time. It regularly glitches out. When you post a photo set, it shuffles the order of your photos. And, when you try to look through photo sets, when you get to the end of one, if you keep scrolling it will take you through the previous set in BACKWARDS. ORDER. When you try to scroll FORWARD. How asinine is that?! And almost always, if you post a large photo set, and you’ve spent 20 minutes trying to comb through to find the perfect ones to fit within the post limit (10), after you hit send, they will simply not show up in the app, and you have to try again multiple times. These are only a sampling of the problems with this app. This app is BROKEN. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER CHOICE.

GroupMe in School. We’ve been doing our classes completely online these last few terms. I personally love it, and I like having the flexibility of getting my work done when it’s right for me. However one huge hurdle with online courses has been the complete lack of socializing. I noticed early into these online courses that I talk to my classmates more than I thought. Having to send out emails to ask a simple question was frustrating and lengthy. This app changed everything! I have one for just about each one of my classes. It’s a great way to be able to communicate instantly with a classmate. Since it’s a group message, my question can go out to everyone. So it seems I’ll most likely get an answer to my question sooner at times too. Fantastic app highly recommend!

Great, but one suggestion!. This app is by far the best when it comes to large group communication. Not overbearing with excessive notifications due to the mute options but still fun enough to form a sense of unity within the group. However, as somebody who primarily uses this app for a mixture of business and fun, important messages can easily get lost in the daily jokes and conversation. I wish there was a way to have an announcements board where only admins or group leaders can post. Everyone, even those who have the group muted, will be notified immediately (or have this as a separate option “mute all except announcements”). Or a way to pin the announcement at the top of everyone’s messages until the leader/admin sees it fit to remove. This would greatly enhance my group’s communication without having to resort to numerous emails or a separate app.

Love the app, but would love more grouping options. I use this app daily for work.. it is a great tool to keep connected and not loose touch. I like that it doesn’t consume a great deal of my storage on my phone. It is also nice to have a long running record of the conversations that have been had. It allows for me to add and remove people as needed and not miss a beat in the conversation. The only thing I would LOVE to see is to be able to make master groups. I have over 30 chats going, and that is just for work... It would be great to make a group and then have subgroups. I have groups with each manager that I work with and then they also have groups with the shops that they work with (team chat groups) I always have to be very cautious to not send the message to the manager in the group for the team. It would just organize things every better.

Where is the contact Support?!?. I’ve used this app for the past 7 years of my life. I throughly enjoyed using it to connect with all different groups of friends regarding meet-ups, vacations, and other assortment of plans. It’s a great communicator in that sense to keep you informed with your various groups within your own life. However, the past three years of my life, I’ve been constantly harassed by a friend who has gone a bit psychotic in the past couple of years and has been diagnosed schizophrenic and bi-polar. He will constantly create new accounts every day literally telling me “to kill myself” or “that my life has no meaning and I should just end it.” I wake up every morning to a new account sending me that same old message. I’ve tried countlessly to report the accounts or block them but the next day happens the exact same. It feels like a horrific groundhogs day effect. GroupMe support has never once responded to my feedback request or contact support requests. It’s frustrating because I love using this app, but had to delete because I need to stop hearing hate messages from an ex-friend who won’t stop harassing me on your app.

Glitch with Notifications :\. Personally, I think this app is pretty good. However, the thing that has been driving me absolutely NUTS is that when I open the app to read the newest messages, it doesn’t update afterwards that I read them, so when I exit the app it still shows that I have those same number of unread messages. I’ve tried clicking on each message on the thread and scrolling all the way up through every message to see if either of those things would fix it, but unfortunately it hasn’t done a thing to fix it. Been SO tempted to just delete the app to get rid of the notifications showing up as unread after I have for sure read them. Please find a way to fix this glitch soon! It is driving me absolutely INSANE!! I really want to enjoy this app, but it’s been so hard to with that glaring glitch constantly showing up. 😞 Please fix this!

Messages Not Showing. Edit. Edit again. I haven’t had a problem with this until today, but today I got message notifications for a group and could see the messages. But after a while, I was getting notifications but not seeing them when I opened the app. The time stamp shows the time of the most recent message (that I can’t see) in the group. Other than this, I have had no problems and enjoy the app. Edit: I deleted then re-logged into the app, and now I cannot see any of the messages in that group. However, I can still click on the group info and see the images, group members, etc. Also, other group messages and individual chats are unaffected by this. I would really appreciate it if this issue could be resolved soon. Thank you! Edit again: after this update, nothing happened. I still cannot see any messages in the one group (still other groups/messages seem to be unaffected). I get notifications for the group and can click on them, but it brings me to the “group chat” where it says no one has sent anything yet, even though I have gotten notifications. There have been some images sent and I can see those if I click on the button that lets you see all the images others have sent. Please fix!!!

Great messaging app!. Use this a LOT and it’s great and surprisingly full featured for as simple to use as it it feels. I have two things I’d wish would be bug-fixed and 2 easy features: 1- a few revs back the blue dot that indicates new messages appears in the top left corner when you’re in one group, even if the new message is only in that same group you’re already inside, even if you’ve read everything new in that group! It used to only show that if there was a new message in another group. Many times a day now I have to click up a level only to find there are not any new messages. Or make that dot go away once I read the mssgs in the grouo I’m in! 2- there’s a crash that has been around for a year! If you click on a notification and go to that group message it almost always will not let you type a response, just hangs... and if you click the + it finally crashes and then launch again and it’s fine. Easy to reproduce! iOS12.x iPhone7 Features: setting for a group to supress the “abcd guy is [not] going to ”. This clogs up the chat for even a medium sized group. Large groups it’s ridiculous. And for covid world can you let people check in to an event so the admin can use to know who was there for some municipality tracing requirements.

Stinks. This app sticks no matter what platform I use it on it does not work there are about 35 of us that use this app in various forms over a 24 hour. Seven days a week sometimes we get a message sometimes we don’t get a message sometimes it goes through 10 minutes later sometimes we don’t ever see the message it’s not any particular platform it’s not the iPad it’s not the iPhone it’s not the messaging app it’s something and I don’t know what it is and it’s very frustrating that I’ve contacted Microsoft 15,000 times and gone on Twitter for GroupMe to ask what the problem is and they keep on telling me delete the app that it’s not just me it’s 40 other people that are having the problem. I don’t know I’m done I’m aggravated I wouldn’t download this app if I was you because they don’t respond back to you I put a Microsoft thing in you can contact GroupMe you got a put a ticket in and wait like five days for a response absolute ridiculous fix the app

Love it but needs features. This would be the superior product for high school class, club, & team communications except for two elements: 1) the recently changed / added ability to delete posts 2) the inability for supervisory permissions School districts have a legal responsibility to be able to investigate allegations of impropriety, hazing, intimidation, & bullying. However school classes on field trips, clubs, & teams need ways to communicate both at event and for planning. It must allow 2-way communication that can be shared/viewed by all. It must permit student leaders to lead, meaning permit them to initiate/direct conversations. The main competition seems to be Remind, and it completely fails at both of those. As currently deployed GroupMe is great for adults & probably colleges. I’m not advocating to change that; however the core of this great platform could be deployed as another product with the ability for an administrator to monitor it, and could be done as a paid product for educational systems. I love being able to communicate in real time, using the tools the students are carrying with them daily, without needing their phone numbers nor exposing mine to them. You can make money from this supplemental release/expansion.

Pretty decent app; has some challenges. It's great to share experiences, pics, and vids with my family and friends x-platform, x-carrier, and around the world. Flexible app with reasonable functionality. Significant challenges include 1) can't delete or edit comments - just hide them, which only hides it on the individual side; 2) it would be very nice if tech support at least acknowledged that we send them emails, and responded within six months; 3) at times it's difficult to invite new GroupMe users to a direct message - can only add them to a group message; 4) impossible to search within a discussion/conversation without painfully scrolling back through the chat to find the reference you are looking for; 5) no exporting/printing capability which would be especially good from a family history or team dynamics perspective.

Useful but frustrating. I’ve used this app for years. It can be a great way to chat and connect with groups. I primarily use it with my kids sports teams. Scrolling through the chat to find the calendar or shared images is frustrating. I know you can find those things in the details of a group. However, they rarely load on that menu for me. The changes I wish they would make is an actual calendar tab. If there were a tab where all the active chats calendars were easily accessible it would be the most useful app ever. Currently, I have 4 active sports team chats and finding the calendar for each team and then putting each practice and game on a separate calendar is extremely time consuming and frustrating. Would be convenient to have a tab for all shared images, as well.

New messages aren’t obvious. I really want to love this app for all the topics within a group but I cannot get over how tricky it is to figure out where to find the new messages! So I get a ding and a badge on the app when a new message comes in but then… I go to the app and open the group it came from and…. None of the topics are bolded or tagged in any way to show where the new message is located. So I end up tapping on several topic conversations and scrolling around to find it. Sometimes when I’m in a conversation the new message loads a few seconds after opening that conversation, sometimes the conversation says couldn’t load new messages, retry? I’ve tried all the steps in the support section- adjusting notification settings in app and in Iphone Settings, logging out, deleting and redownloading the app, updating the app…Please fix this ASAP!

Awful performance issues. I am always disappointed when I am forced to re-download GroupMe for other people. It’s performance while not on WiFi is absolutely abysmal. I often receive messages in my notifications bar from other group members. Then when I navigate to the group chat the messages, they are not there. I try to memorize the message in the notification bar if it is short enough to understand how to reply. Sometimes it takes up a few minutes for them to display In the chat. I can sometimes get it to show faster if I try to force a refresh. This lag has resulted in me not only missing messages but also leaving people behind on trips. I use telegram, signal, iMessage, discord, WhatsApp, and messenger. None of them have the performance issues that GroupMe does while on cell service. I don’t understand why this app is so highly rated when it has such critical issues on a modern iPhone. If GroupMe’s user base wasn’t so large I wouldn’t have to keep downloading it.

Can we have the 'typing' icon back?. Love the new design. So slick and smooth. Although I do miss in the chat being able to know when the other person is typing or not. It just kind of confuses the people on both ends. But loving the new design! :)

Average messaging platform. Lots of personal info required to sign up. Interface is a little cluttered. Multi platform is good There are better messaging systems, but it's better than some

Changes needed. It would be appreciated if when an iPad is turned around the screen did also. Ability to download longer video clips would be good. Also need to be able to add comments to a thread.

Image quality. Great app all round except image quality which is absolutely horrendous... I'm continually asked to provide feed back of which is ignored. I can't see why the people at groupme are dragging their feet on this...

Can't message anyone.. Only one person appears in the list. Everyone has to have this app to message them so it's useless. I just want to replace the message app with a better app that I can send text via sms or internet. If I want to message people and have chats I'll use Facebook messenger

A good platform. A good app. Had a few issues with friends adding me to the group. The notification feature seems unpredictable if using the app across iOS devices. Also, it's too easy for anyone in the group to mute all phone alerts. If this issues are fixed then it gets a higher rating!

GroupMe. The quality is as good as Skype. An excellent means for communicating from mobile to mobile.

When trying to add someone. Hi I'm a fan of your app however when I try to add someone with an email address that has numbers in it, it reverts immediately to a phone number and won't allow me to put the email address in. Some people don't like giving out phone numbers so there is no way to add them. Can you maybe put both options in so this doesn't happen. It's really quite annoying. Thanks

Great little app!. I work in a creative collective and GroupMe is great for staying in touch with my colleagues. Every little idea can be discussed and elaborated in private before we meet up and flesh the ideas out properly. Highly recommended app! Get rid of phone verification. I got this app because a bunch of my friends started a group with it I go to make an account and realise I need a phone number Easy right? Well except I don't have a phone with SMS! There is no option to get the pin via email so I have since deleted the app Add an email verification. You are costing yourselves users. Great. Easy to use and a good way to keep in contact with my game friends

Doesn’t work. Needed this app for a new job. Spent a month going back and forward with their support team because my account is completely uncontactable (whenever people tried to send me a message it would tell them I didn’t have the app and send me a text with a link to download the app; which, when clicked on, would redirect to the app I already had downloaded and logged in). The only assistance support could give me was just variations of ‘delete the app and reinstall it’, ‘delete your account and remake it’, and ‘use a different device’ (all of which I tried more than once). Multiple times they took over a week to reply, finally replied on a Friday afternoon, and then sent two follow up e-mails over the weekend saying that because I wasn’t responding they would close my support case; even if I assume that there’s a time zone difference that allowed that period of time to include a business day for them, expecting a response so quickly after taking ten days to send me another email telling me to reinstall the app again is ridiculous. I was willing to accept that the issue might be on my side at first and followed their instructions, but after I did so and there was no change I expected someone to actually look into the cause and not just keep sending me the same troubleshooting techniques I had already tried. The company that hired me were super patient and understanding considering they hired me for an immediate start, but as all of their work gets sent through GroupMe (job that requires travel, location/hours are sent to the GroupMe chat for staff to opt in/out of depending on their location and availability) I wasn’t able to pick up any work for them. Essentially, the terrible tech support for this app lost me a job that I very much needed, and I still have no idea why I was unable to make a functioning account. In trying to solve the problem with a friend we found that I could create an account with their details on my device that worked perfectly, but they couldn’t make an account with my details on their device that could receive messages, so for whatever reason it seems like my personal details were the problem, despite the fact that I could use them to initially sign up and received verification text messages and emails to the contact details provided. I’m sure this app is great for the people it works for, but unfortunately it has been completely unusable for me.

Great app. Relationship builder. One suggestion though.. I really appreciate this apps features. If you could delete your comments once posted, it would be even better, but right now - it's very effective as a group exchange medium.

Group chat ✅. Good way to communicate with a group of people or just one. Although it has trouble keeping up on busy days, freezes while others are typing.

Update makes app unstable. Ever since the most recent update, the app crashes and gets very slow. It used to be much better.

GroupMe. The program is great for the majority of the time. Just recently there was a problem in that it completely removed all rooms from the screen on a couple of occasions.

Simple and versatile. Great for small groups to keep it altogether. Can direct message members. Can post dated events. Able to post images. Suitable to post location with map.

Use it everyday. App works perfectly, me and my mates use it every day, it's the easiest way to stay in contact with each other, couldn't go back to old methods after using this app.

App needs to sync better across multiple devices. I don't want to read messages once I've seen them on one device. Also if I mute on one device, I don't necessarily want to mute on all. Other than that, great app

Always logging you off after a month and unable to log back in. 5x I have to create new email bcos after a month it logged me out and unable to log back in and keep saying something went wrong and please try again, but you can never log back in.

Sucks!!!. Been using this app for 8yrs, now it’s just booted me out and won’t sign me back in, uninstalled app and reinstalled, didn’t work, reset password didn’t work, tried making new account and says account already exists. And can’t contact them to get help so app can’t even be used

Will not allow me to log in. I’ve been using group me a number of years. It no longer lets me log in. Once logging in, it goes back to the log in page rather than the app opening. App is up to date. Phone up to date. Have even tried logging in on browser.

App is good an somewhat security conscious. But major technical issues. It constantly has login issues and changing the phone can cause it to fail to login. Sometimes it doesn’t restore groups properly and sometimes doesn’t update message chat list. It operates like a BETA version of an application. Trash.

Can you fix this already?. Haven’t been able to log in for over a month. Login, see the messages, and immediately get kicked back to the login screen. How has this not been fixed yet?

Worst app ever.. I was added to a group.me group. I don’t even have an account! It started texting messages. I had over 200 messages in one day. Garbage.

Most disappointing, don’t waste your time. Kicks you out and won’t let you log back in.. I loved this app for years and used it for all my sports teams. Recently it logged me out and won’t let me log back in. I’ve changed my password through the forgot my password link and looked up as much as I can through the support but it’s all garbage. Now I have to find a new app and recreate all these groups which is a ton of work. Tried to get a hold of support but they don’t have anything that can help anyone.

Auto shutting of the app. I am using this from past 2 years and just recently it’s start acting up. It’s just just kicks me out to the sign in page. Every time I have to put my I’d and password, verify pin , sync my contacts as soon as I am checking my account with in seconds it’s back to the sign in page. Already uninstalled and reinstalled multiple time. Did all my troubleshoot nothing works.

Won’t let me sign in. When I try to sign in it won’t let me, it just keeps being me back to the login page. It will ask me to verify my account and once it do it brings me back to the login page.

Notifications bugs. Notifications bugs are getting worst. Even tho messages are all read the notifications badges don’t go away.

Won’t let me log in. Ever since the update GroupMe won’t let me login anymore. I use this for work and I suppose not everyone is experiencing this, but a lot of people are and it’s frustrating that all the work related stuff I can’t even see anymore. Please fix this, it’s been weeks and I’m tired of it

Won’t log me in!!!. Kicked me out. I can’t log in. It just keeps spinning trying to log in but never does. Tried getting ahold of help but after 2 weeks back and forth they gave up on me! Very disappointed with app and help.

Update is glitchy and looks horrible on ipad. New layout does not respect your economy of space. It squishes chats in order to always have your table of contents open. And I have run into about 3 new glitches trying to use it. Maybe consider using a different chat program. Even if you like it now it will eventually keep updating into something you hate, its what they do.

What is this?. This is just poop

Freezes. This apps doesn’t work right. It freezes and then I can not type in windows. Then it takes along time to load. Not sure what’s going on I have deleted and reinstalled and everything. Nothing helps

Errors ALWAYS. The amount of times I try and add or remove someone from the groups and I get a “failed to remove” message or “failed to add” is bananas. App is soooo glitchy these last 5 months

Fix the login bug!. Ever since the newest update I haven’t been able to login to my account without getting kicked right back out.

Chats do not open anymore. IPad Pro M1 15.5 - when I click a chat nothing happens. But if I tap a notification I can enter that specific chat. Works on my iPhone 13 mini 15.0.2

App is broken!. I’d give this app less than one star if I could. Every couple of days, I’m unable to log in and it says there’s an error. Mysteriously then after a few days, it will work before it happens again. Completely unreliable as a messaging service.

Not working anymore. Was a fantastic app. Several days ago it logged me out and won’t let me back in. I’ve sent emails but the fixes they suggested I had already done and told them I did them. We use this for work. I’m not the only one in my workplace that is having this problem.

Unable to create account. I’ve been trying to create an account for the past few days but it doesn’t work, whenever I put in my phone number it doesn’t generate the pin

Stopped working. Was using the app everyday to talk with game groups now like the others mentioned I am logged out and it won’t work anymore. I sent a message and never received a reply.

No groups. I can't find groups, I can just create ones

Good, but flawed. This is an awesome social networking app to connect with people, schedule events, take polls, etc., but I have a rather bothersome concern to report about the app. The app on my home screen, GroupMe, says I have a certain amount of notifications; even though I have opened and checked all of my chats with no missed messages, etc. It is quite bothersome when I have to constantly open and push every button in the app to finally get the little red bubble at the top-right corner of the app to disappear. Also, it crashes on my iPhone 11. I don’t know if that problem is related to my iPhone (likely not because the phone is less than three months old), or the fact that GroupMe is flawed and needs some additional work and tweaks. Other than that, it is a great app!

Great but the hit boxes are tiny!. I love this app and use it to communicate with a team of 60+ employees. The only issue we have is that I’ll say “like this message if you want to do XYZ” but if more than 8 people like the message, I can’t see them. I try to click the three dots to view more, but the hit box for the three dots is so small that it usually just ends up closing the message. Also, when I try to slide through the likes to get to the three dots, groupme always thinks I’m trying to form a reply. It takes about 5-10 tries to see who liked my message. Which is frustrating when we’re in a crisis and I’m trying to get employees to like my message to mark themselves as safe, but I can’t actually see who is safe because this process is so sensitive. Other than that, I don’t know what I’d do without group me!

Very Good For Groups (Duh). Ok, so first of all let me say I enjoy this app as a counterpart to texting groups and such. I even prefer it to iMessage because the navigation is so intuitive. It's a perfectly good app, and I recommend downloading it over Skype or something. However, one thing that would make it better, would be if for a direct message, you could make a contact for them, so if they are a close friend you have a nickname for, you could for instance, name 'Kelly' Potato or whatever weird name you have for them 😂. It wouldn't change anything on their side; their group name and universal name wouldn't change at all. Other than some development opportunities, great app that I would definitely recommend to anyone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cool App, One Annoyance (Fix please?). Overall this app works great! It is extremely convenient for organizing large groups of people. However there is one thing that drives me crazy. It takes forever for the little red notification number to disappear on the app icon. Even if you have read all the messages and there are no new ones the red number for how many messages were previously unread will last until it is replaced by more incoming messages. Sometimes the number goes away and sometimes it does not. This is can be very frustrating especially when I am trying to tie up loose ends and make sure I have attended to everything. If there is a chance that this small bug could be fixed in a future update that would be pretty cool.

Good app, spam accounts. I’ve used GM throughout my highschool years and so far my freshman and sophomore year of college but starting last fall around December in all of my chats even private ones, spam accounts would manage to slither in and blow up the chats with fake essay writing services. Like I’m talking if you leave the chat alone for 15 minutes all of a sudden 8 spam accounts will have joined and posted the same exact post/link. I can get rid of them as an admin but they keep joining back. I’ve doubled down on privacy and who I accept but somehow people manage to get into a chat that I never accepted. Most recently it will say a bunch of people joined a chat, but they don’t show up in the members so I can’t remove them now. They’re just there, waiting until 2 more weeks when they’re gonna explode every single chat. Help please

Super unreliable. I’ve been using group me for our work group chat and I’ve never had a single time where I felt the app was working as intended. I have an iPhone 11pro so I know it’s not a hardware issue. Every time I open the app it gets super buggy and laggy. The new messages don’t even load right away, sometimes taking even a couple of minutes to pop up on the app after receiving a notification. The picture quality is the worst I’ve seen on any app. For some reason it compresses the image into potato quality making any important numbers on things like nightly stats completely illegible. I’ve never experienced an app so consistently inconsistent in my life. And I know I’m not the only one experiencing issues because 90% of my staff experience similar problems with their app too. Keep note we’re all on the same updated version of the app.

Great way to stay informed. Lately, a close relative was in the hospital with some fairly bad problems. The family includes a family out of state, several families very close—too many to visit, but all interested and worried. A tech-savvy family member set up a GroupMe thread including all family, far and near. It was amazing—info was given out, questions were asked and answered, pictures posted of our sick one, progressively showing improvement. As far as I know, it (the group connection) is still active, a couple of items have been posted, travel, kids, etc. I realize most use is social and lighthearted—that’s fine. But in a medical crisis, it served us all very well and I’d recommend it for that.

Add Admin functions. I’m apart of groups with over 200+ people. Make it so there can be more than one Admin in the group. Also add make a setting to where only admins are able to send messages to a group. Sometimes feedback isn’t needed in most groups that strictly exist to put out information. Lastly and I’m sure you guys have seen this one before. ADD THE ABILITY TO DELETE DIRECT MESSAGES! I hate having to look at messages that were only a one time occurrence with a person that happened years ago! If I can do it on my phone I should be able to do the same on the app! Hiding messages is not an option to solve the problem! Remove on you FAQ page that you can hide/delete messages when you can only hide! Liars! Fix the bug that occurs when someone new messages me and I can’t see it until I try to direct messages them myself.

New update created new frustrations. While for the most part the app works good, the new update has become somewhat annoying. Overall the appearance is clean and runs smooth but I have 2 gripes. 1. Why do timestamps happen so frequently now (or at all honestly) between comments. I’ve seen a string of 3 comments in a group all get time stamped yet were posted within 5 minutes of each other. I don’t care that much about when someone posted a comment especially when I can click on it and get the exact time it was posted. 2. When posting links (especially Instagram) why is the spacing so messed up, the name and avatar hover over the top of the link posted. It was perfect before but now there’s an annoying overlay. 3. Why must I put my first and last name into the profile in setting? Especially since I can just change my name in any group anyways. 4. At times since the update there will be a weird spacing issue from a new comment on the bottom and between the box to type. Not always but still very annoying when it does happen. Willing to change star rating if things are explained or corrected.

Makes Life Easier. I'm a freshmen in high school and am an active member of student council...but I don't have an IPhone, just an IPod. Because of this, it is difficult for me to keep in contact with my group members. GroupMe helped a lot because it allowed us all to communicate with each other easily so no one falls behind. You can attach different events to the calendar so everyone in your chat knows and can send pictures with each other. One thing that I've noticed is trouble in inviting certain people, meaning it says you've "invited them" but they can't get in. If you have this problem, I recommend different people try to add you, not just one person over and over again. It's very simple and great for school activities like this.

Buggy Mess. I have been using this app for years and it has seemingly only gotten worse with time. I’m currently begging my friends to move our group to another app but they’re gluttons for punishment so here we are. The app will freeze randomly. Uploading video is a complete chore, takes forever, is capped at 60 seconds, and looks third world flip phone sms message awful. Lately the app assigns the wrong name to messages sent. One friend will send a message but GroupMe will specify that it was actually me sending it. I guess having to guess who sent what is a fun new feature. The iPad app is nearly unusable and either lacks basic mute functionality or has it tucked so deep in the menus that I simply turn my iPad off. Do yourself a favor, if you’re looking to start a group chat use another app. The survey feature is nice and isn’t something I can find elsewhere.

Admin can’t remove person without a notification posting for all to see!. My biggest negative about Group Me is that it does not allow you to remove a person privately from a group. Instead, even if you’re the admin of the group, if you remove a person from the group it will send a notification on the thread that states, “this person removed that person from the group.” This has presented unnecessary drama within using the app and should be an easy fix or setting to disable. If it weren’t for this little glitch, I would rate the app 5 stars. As others have stated, being able to pin something by ing to the top or save it would be very beneficial.

I ♥️ GroupMe. GroupMe is the no-drama alternative to advertisement & propaganda fueled socializing platforms. A friend recommended I use GroupMe to keep a large circle of family & friends in the loop leading up to, during and after my daughter’s surgery. I liked how easy it was to set up, post updates, get feedback and share photos. For this use, I originally gave the group a “pre-surgery” title. Once surgery was over it was easy to rename the group a “recovery” title and none of the previous posts were lost. Next time around, I was the one recommending GroupMe to my daughter’s support group. The leaders took my advice and we’ve found it to be the perfect way to share progress, ask questions and set meeting dates.

Good app but could use some important improvements!. I’ve used this app for years for both school and now work, and it’s pretty convenient and useful, especially for cross platform or for people without smartphones. There are a few things I feel they could implement to really improve the app: 1. Allow us to delete messages without leaving a chat or blocking a person. I have tons of groups I just don’t need on my home page and then hide function doesn’t work. I also have individual chats I want to delete without removing the person from my contacts. 2. Adding the ability to dislike a message or a yes or no function without using a poll. I think this would be especially helpful for work groups where you’re volunteering or saying you are or aren’t available.

Specific Date Feature. The app is really convenient and I use it everyday! Especially for chatting with my friends who live in different parts of the world. It would be really nice to have an option where you could look up a certain date in the chat. Meaning that if you want to look at a specific photo taken or just recall a great moment in the chat, it would make it easier to have an option that lets you search by month, day, year, or if you know the exact date you can just type it in. This would be much simpler than scrolling up or even searching through the gallery looking for that one photo. Especially if you have a chat that’s active almost 24/7. I’d really love to see this feature implemented in the app in the near future.

Best option available, but could use a few improvements.. I’ve been using GroupMe for a couple years now and it’s fantastic, probably the best group communication app on the market currently (second to Discord, but you’ll not be using that with most groups since it’s targeted for gamers). I think the only things missing that I think is somewhat odd to not have is a group ping and pinned messages. It’s irritating to have to select and type out every single name of every person you want to announce to, especially on more frivolous chats that people keep muted. Pins also is a need, as important messages are soon lost in the miasma of other discussion. If GroupMe adds these, they’ll get five starts, but until then it’s a 4 star app in my book.

Great app but wish they would fix one thing. I love this app overall and have no complaints, but I wish they would hide the number of people that have liked a post (like how Facebook and other social media sites have done now) and just show a red heart (whatever the icon is) instead. It can still have the same effect on someone’s self esteem by seeing their item not get favorited as much compared to others. And, if someone wanted to see who all liked it then they could click on that post directly and view it from there but at least on the main page it would just show it has been liked, not by how many :-) Thank you so much GM!! Looking forward to seeing this implemented soon~

Problems loading/finding new messages. I have used GroupMe for a long time and have loved it. It’s been a way to message in groups for our church. But since some of the new features have been added, it’s hard to find where my new messages are, and the notifications won’t always clear even when I’ve checked all unread messages. The biggest problem is regarding Topics. Ever since we added topics to a group, it will not show you where the unread message is. You have to click through all your topics to find it. And then even when I’ve clicked through all of my topics and groups, it still says I have new notifications. It’s been really frustrating and not very user friendly. I appreciate the new concept of topics, but it definitely still has issues to work through.

Unable to use any longer. 1) Whatever updates have transpired I am no longer able to add users to groups. They just don’t show up for me to add like they used to. Did a synch on contacts with groupme seems like it made it worse. I have to ask others members to add them now. Frustrating. Kinda giving up. 2) Also frustrating groupme randomly pops up all single person groups making a big mess with multiple singles groupmes that I don’t want displayed. So I then have to go individually HIDE CHAT. 3) But then that option HIDE CHAT is not available for every groupme so then. I’m stuck with all of these groupmes displayed on phone. Cludgy.. 3) would be nice for individual person groupmes to not just randomly pop up (all of them) I know this is a free app and it is nice but just wanted to input what’s making it unusable now.

Constantly Crashing. I have to use this app for work, and at first it had no big issues. But as time has gone on it crashes about 90% of the time I open it, and then when it does open and I try to share messages or pictures in the work chat if it doesn't crash there, it doesn't send the message. It will occasionally show the message was sent and I'll close the app thinking it went through, only for me to check a few hours later and see that it failed to send the message (after showing it had). I have to uninstall the app then reinstall it every couple of days, it will work for about a day and a half then start crashing and failing to send messages all over again. Very disappointing, inconvenient, and frustrating. If any businesses or groups are looking for a way to communicate with all employees, I strongly suggest you go elsewhere.

Solid app but needs updates. Let me start by saying the app is great but definitely has limitation. Messaging sometimes freezes up causing delays. Or it will skip trying to send a message altogether. Also I’ve noticed when trying to share a link from another source it doesn’t always send. Also the fact you can’t delete anything is obnoxious. Old groups / DMs and photos just makes the app annoying. I have to hide a conversation if it’s no longer valid but I can’t just delete like I can in WhatsApp, Text or literally any other application. We use this app for our church group and sometime you get a separate message that’s not important. It would be nice to be able to clear up space and simply be able to delete. Other than that the app works well and is functional.

Unable to access group anymore. The app worked for me great for quite a while. As of yesterday, I couldn’t see any messages posted in a group by my friends. I could only see what was being posted in my notifications bar. Usually I could select the notification and it would take me to the app. There, I’d be able to view the full message that was sent, along with other prior messages. Now if I select the message, I’m not able to see it in the GroupMe messages. I closed the app and reopened. This didn’t fix the problem. I checked my settings- and nothing appeared to be different than prior to this issue. Since nothing else worked, I uninstalled the app completely - which wipes out all of your chat conversations completely. I assumed once reinstalling I’d be able to be added back to the group. Unfortunately that didn’t work. I was removed and added back to the group by 3 separate people - and I still can only see what’s posted from my notification bar. The group no longer shows in my GroupMe app either. Not sure how to get this corrected, but to ask for everyone to start a new group on my behalf - shouldn’t be the way to correct it.

Business growth!!. Hello all, I know you have your hands full already and am super grateful for your hard work! You have developed an amazing app that helped me and hundreds of other business owners grow their business. I won’t bore you with details but just wanted to make a recommendation as to some features that might be worth looking into. There is currently no way to delete a message within a conversation other than to hide it in my device. Also, there is a cap to how many people can be in a group. Myself and many of my business partners and other people in my industry have decided to migrate to telegram due to these features stated above. That’s nearly 50,000 new users on telegram and counting that have migrated from Group Me. I hope this helps, God bless you all!!

Muting a chat needs to show ZERO notifications.. I have several active chats in this app and I’ve used it exclusively as my group chat app for maybe a decade now. It is wonderful for the most part. My BIGGEST complaint though is if you mute a chat, you still get the red badge on the app icon and the app will say you have X unread messages. It won’r pop up on your lock screen though. I wish that mute was a FULL silence on the chat. It’s COVID era and my beer league hockey team chat has been going off all lock down when i haven't played for 6 months. I don’t really care about the NHL playoffs too much but they do. So i have to open the app to get rid of the badge icon. I use the app for other chats still and want to see those messages but the ones that I can wait on and silence until I’m ready to participate.. I cant.

Not Encrypted End-to-end. Hi there! I've been a GroupMe user for about 5-6 years, and I've very much enjoyed the app. I'm happy to have seen some recent features added such as having the ability to reply to messages, improved polling, and the seasonal like buttons (Christmas tree, jack-o'-lantern, etc.) However, GM, in my opinion, is lacking one of the most important features - end-to-end encryption. Given today's digital and socio-political environment, it is extremely important to safeguard user's privacy and safety. This must be done through decentralized platforms. Platforms that give users the trust and ability to use their communication channels without the worry of having data compromised. I would perhaps have given a 3.75 or 4 stars if this decentralized privacy feature was enabled. Thank you - hope to see these innovative changes soon!

YES, YES!. I’ve been an active GroupMe user for several years and it has never failed! Extremely reliable, it now provides day and night mode, and puts me in contact with everyone, even without their phone number! My only complaint would be that people I have been in one chat with do not show when I want to add them to an exclusive chat. I believe that’s part to do with the coding of the software, as this particular thing works if I’ve been in two chats or more with a person. Other than that, it is an amazing tool and I recommend it whenever I’m working with someone on a university project. 100% recommend for everyone to have installed on their phone!

App logs me out, should be able to send longer high quality videos. The app randomly logs me out every few months and when I log back in I can’t see any of my previous chats or contacts. I have some peoples’ contacts through this app alone, so it’s really annoying when that happens. However, if I delete the app and redownload it, usually everything comes back. Not all the time though, and the process is very tedious so I wish this wouldn’t happen. The last time I was logged out it was across all of my devices and it wouldn’t let me log back in for several weeks even though I entered the correct password (it seemed like it was glitching out). If getting logged out is still a necessary procedure I wish there was at least some warning beforehand. Also wish we could send longer videos through the app while maintaining image quality. Other than that it’s pretty good, sorry for the low rating.

Love the app accept you can’t delete messages. I love GroupMe and I use it for several groups that I am apart of. Great way to communicate and keep on touch in a timely manner. Only thing I wish they had was a way to delete or cancel messages. I’ve mad a mistake and posted a photo in the incorrect group and it couldn’t be erased and it stays in the gallery. It was anything explicit but it just wasn’t meant for the intended group. While I know I have to be more aware of where I’m posting, it can be an honest mistake and you won’t be able to save yourself of an embarrassing photo meant for your friend group that goes into your family or church group that you may also use the app for. I hope that this functionality comes along and I would definitely give 5 stars!

Love the app, how do you make small suggestions that would make a huge improvement. I love this App and it allows me to communicate with the parents of all the teams easily and quickly. As a parent when we’ve used it, the one thing I find difficult is once a coach sends out a message, every parent responds, sometimes leading to multiple conversations and sometimes making it difficult to scroll back and determine the actual message the coach was trying to get across. There should be an option to have only coach be able to communicate on that thread, and responses be seen only by the coach or just where the communication happens in direct messaging or the responses bullet point off where the original message is clear and easy to follow! Otherwise great app!

Good app but would like a few additions. This is a great communication tool and it works wonderfully for work. A few additions that would make it even better would be either being able to pin certain conversations to the top of the list or being able to have a gallery style view of all the conversations pictures that is easier to see all groups. At work we have over 30 groups so either of these would make things a little more productive for us. Another thing I feel may help the app would be having a separate tab for direct messages so that groups and messages can be easily found. Other than those suggestions every complaint we have had has been resolved in following updates.

Great app!. Hello! I love this App! It works great for community activities! I would love to see a small change for the “Calendar” portion though. I’d like to see an option to where you don’t see the “John Doe is attending/not attending” on the news feed. Instead I think it would be More beneficial if it were similar to the polls. Especially because someone can literally say attending/not attending 20 times and it spams the group chat. One more item I’d love to see is a separate tab to add documents to where they are readily available for the group. Similar to the gallery or polls that are open. Often times I create and send a google document that the group needs to see throughout the year, but they tend to get Lost in the feed. Thanks!!

Innovative. All around great!. This app is great! Other than simply having a chat session, I love that you get set up your notification ringtone on top of being able to control the notifications. I love that you can have multiple groups going. Haven’t had any problem with glitches so far either... Connects to everyone in your contacts if you want it too & shows who is in every group. I like that it’s up to date and shows every little thing—such as who adds a new member, who they added, and when.. You can transfer ownership. And even for the less tech-savvy out there, it’s easy to navigate, set up, and use on a daily basis! 😊 Love it!!

Delayed Notifications. I really enjoy GroupMe as a whole and use it for a lot of different things. However, the notifications for the app are severely delayed (about 30 minutes) and, even if I have the app open while something is posted, I get a banner/badge notification 20-30 minutes later with the post. It vibrates, taps my watch, all of it. It’s very frustrating because it makes it difficult to keep conversations relevant and prompt. It also gets confusing because I’ll respond to a question in the app and then get the same question on my watch half an hour later. We would really appreciate some work on this or, at least, a way to fix it for ourselves individually. Other than that, I love the app!

Thoughts. Let me disclose that I am not a huge fan of this app. Primarily not due to the app itself but because it is just another app I must use for school, despite our emails being google based which has its own group chat option, and more than that, I would rather a group email as needed or to be texted if direct contact with me is needed. This app alone however, my above feelings aside, is moderately sufficient. It does not make sharing or attaching files easy; well I have not found a way to do that unless there is a shareable link for said file. BUT my real problems are as follows: 1. a LOT of glitches - errors of not being able to send individual message or form a group (or it will make a group multiple times), not adding someone despite clicking their name, not recognizing when I select a particular chat room to view…just no response occurring. 2. Main issue: Constantly (multiple times a week) needing to uninstall and reinstall this app just so it will work (reference #1 above). Yes, this is after ensuring the app and my iPad is up-to-date and all the such. Frustrating. Conceptually, it is great and has great features. Just not my cup of tea. Has too many errors/glitches but I have to use it for school if I want to be up to date on any class changes and such.

GroupMe Review. GroupMe is an app that helps friends and family contact each other without having to know each other's number. It works by searching up ur friends or you can access your contact to see if any of them have the app. Once you have selected the person you wish to contact you can chose to make it a private conversation or an open conversation where you can add anyone you like. Over all it is a pretty good app it have. It openeds the way to new friendships and relationship. The only thing that I do not like about the app is that when ever your Ina group text, other people can take you out of the group and that you get every notification from the group text. Other than that I think it's a great app that everyone should have. November 15,2017

Takes forever to set up.......... Group me is great but don’t get me wrong it takes forever to set up. It is not people friendly and it is so hard. I am a teenager and I had to ask my parents to set it up for me they spent a total of 4 hours setting it up. Besides for it hating people when you set it up it is quite fun to use. Once you spend your 2 hours setting it up it is quite easy after that. Over all this app is not great and I would highly recommend some easier apps to set up that just takes five minutes like Houseparty. This app is so much easier to use than group me and I would rather use this than group me by far. If u are willing to spend hours setting this up then get this app if not use Houseparty or some other app overall this is a three and a half star app. :’( DISAPPOINTING is all I can say.

Where is the edit mode?. GroupMe is a very powerful tool in the social media world, but the one thing everyone else has and you don’t is edit mode. You can not edit or delete a message from anything or anyone but from yourself (and you can’t delete that either). I want to edit a message you can’t, but you can hide it, from who? Myself? They can still see the freaking message, but I can’t now. It’s like playing hind and seek in a very, very lit room with a billion people still watching you try to hide in a football stadium. I want to remove a person from my contacts list, you can’t do it. The basic functions of GroupMe of chat is there, but one super key factor is not present in this day and time. Why the heck not! GroupMe would be a 5 star on my list, but until this major flaw is not corrected, it will remain at 3 stars from me.

Great App! But cannot delete messages. My church has been using this app to communicate within small groups and volunteer teams. It’s easy to use, very functional for group chats. I recommend this to anyone looking for a simple and effective group chat tool. I have many old chats which I don’t use anymore or only used once for a direct message to an individual here and there. These messages clutter the chat list since I don’t use them anymore and can’t delete them. You can hide any chat, but knowing those old chats are just sitting there feels like sweeping them under the rug! This isn’t make it or break it but it bothers me just a bit that messages can’t be deleted.

I was removed. OK so… I got removed from the group chat that I was in because my coach had to change my name to make it right and she re-added me but now my group won’t show up on the group me app so I can’t get back into it and we can’t figure out how I can get back into it without her we adding me thousand times because she’s already added me twice over and over and the Groupon show up so I can’t get into it and we can’t figure out what to do about it so if you could just tell me what I could do to get back into the group that I was removed from it would be great thank you this app is amazing I love it it’s good for groups it’s good for direct message it’s good for everything really thank you for making it

Good app, PLEASE consider these improvements. GroupMe is kinda the “go to” at my university so i got it cuz everyone and all the clubs uses it. If it wasn't for that, i probably would not have it. It does the job of a texting app, but its not as...developed as the other texting apps like fb messenger and WhatsApp. PLEASE consider these to make the experience on the app better: 1) be able to delete sent pics/messages. Im writing this post rn legit because i just accidentally sent the wrong pic about 3 min ago and i cant unsend it. Even if u make it so it says “the sender has unsent this message” is fine, just PLEASE let me take back my message mistakes 2) be able to send better quality and longer photos/videos Yeah. This is pretty self explanatory. Im sure everyone has ran into tryna send a video thats longer than 30s and it says its too long and becomes grainy 3) consider being able to audio and video call...? A lot of texting apps can do group calls and honestly its kinda inconvenient that we cant on groupme. Everyone in one of my group legit downloaded WhatsApp just so we all can do group calls. Thats all i got for now. Other than that, thanks for a good and easy to use app👍🏾

Baffled. I am actually baffled by how awful this app is. It simply does not work when a chat is active. It fails to fill its most basic purpose. A user of a messaging app should be able to read messages as they are coming in, ESPECIALLY an app whose primary purpose is group chats. The app spazzes or jumps to random places in the chat or freezes altogether when other people are sending messages in the chat. When I try to type a message, my entire phone freezes and I can’t even see the message as I type it. I have to wait fifteen seconds to see it on my screen. This is definitely not a hardware problem as I have no issues like this using whatsapp or telegram. I really hope this review is seen and taken seriously because this app has some extreme problems with its most basic functionality; it’s essentially unusable way too often. Are you not using views to optimize performance and resource use??? I just don’t understand. Sooo frustrating please do something!!

Your recent app update has some issues. Love this app. Used it for years, but the new update with the bold letters is having issues. Wasn’t sure if this was the most likely place to get tech to notice things need some minor fixes, but hope it gets passed on to the right people. When one goes to create an event for a group (on my iPhone) and the title text gets as wide as the screen, the send icon (paper airplane) gets pushed off the screen to the right and it isn’t possible to back out of that screen without closing the app entirely. Same goes for checking who’s coming to an event. The title text is so bold and so wide that the new programming for the app doesn’t allow any backing out of that screen.

Overall good, but a few consistent issues. Reviewing as a longer term user - I have used the app for several years now. Biggest frustration: anytime there’s an update to the app, ALL of my archived groups/messages reappear and I have to archive them all over again. SUPER ANNOYING. Also, sometimes the new message notification doesn’t go away for awhile even after checking all messages, and recently the new message dot appears even when the new message is in the group you’re currently in and reading and won’t go away till you get out of that screen and come back into it. I can see it’s helpfulness to make sure you know a new message came through but usually it just gets stuck and you have to wait for it to clear or you have to exit that group to clear it.

Nobody likes group messages....except on “GroupMe”. I would try to send group messages to friends and family and there would usually by someone in the group that would complain and ask to be taken out of the group, but I have a busy life and I don’t have time to message everyone individually!!! Now we have “GroupMe”, they are not getting the constant dings and notification every time someone replies, they can read all of the responses collectively at one time, and reply or not reply, it is their choice and at their leisure!! GroupMe makes responding to mine and my kid’s teammates, classmates, co-workers, family members, social groups, event managers, etc. so hassle free and consolidates my life and keeping everything organized!

I love GroupMe! One suggestion.. I love GroupMe! I use it for every collaboration project at school and work because of the convenience that it adds. The most convenient tool is that I can create a group with a specific name so I know exactly who I'm talking to and for what project. This eliminates searching through my everyday messaging app for the names of members of my group. One addition that I think would expand the app is a feature that allows group leaders to show members how to join. For example, text "custom message" to "#####." I know this would make it convenient for people to join groups I create that are for the purpose of sending reminders about events, assignments, or projects.

Hot Garbage. Updated review. They fixed it by completely deleting my account so I could start anew. Took quite a bit of effort to get this point. This platform seems to be garbage. I’ve successfully used it before years ago but for some reason now I cannot communicate with anyone. There was no suspicious activity but I got that email. My previous password worked fine but for some reason was disabled. And now I’m standing right next to my wife who is sending me messages, I can see her composing ‘typing’ the message from my feed, but no messages ever show up. I am unable to send messages -or says I’m sending them but never shows up for the recipient. What the…? Hot garbage. ***contacted support - ignored. I don’t leave reviews in lieu of trouble tickets.

Nice, easy. I often use Facebook messenger to communicate with my friends, but for messenger you need internet connection. With group me, you can use both internet AND data. Plus, there’s multiple ways to find people on the app while with regular texting you can only use phone number and with messenger you have to be friends on Facebook. With group me, you can use number or email (I haven’t tried using usernames, but I’m sure it works too). The only real problem I have with it is that the texts are hard to read, so sometimes internet connection ends up being required anyway. (I’m not being paid I swear, I just really like the app).

Frustrated and annoyed. I stared using GM in the early 2010’s. Initially, I joined with sms delivery but the group messages exceeded my unlimited plan. So I downloaded the app but I never got notifications. I thought it was by design until a subgroup was created and I received notifications from that one but none from the other two (one around 40, the other keeps growing but started with 60+). Later on, I joined another group that is 100+ and no notifications from this one as well. Currently in I think 6 groups. I have had 3 iPhones over this time and the issue had persisted with each one. During trouble shooting throughout the years I’ve: contacted GM for support yet they were not helpful, reset my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled, set up 2 different accounts using my work and personal emails, I even switched numbers at one point, and have done online searches about this. Yet, nothing. Now I’m in another big group and i was receiving notifications, but all of a sudden it stopped. The two stars are for them building this wonderful platform that allows this level of connecting. But this issue for myself and the underwhelming support has me loosing out on staying connected, which is the purpose of the app.

Muting without going into the app. On Facebook messenger you have the ability to mute for an hour from the notification itself. Normally I would use Facebook messenger but for some reason people prefer this app. Could there be an easier way to mute the app without going into the app itself? And perhaps have it in 1 hour/ 5 hour intervals? Also, messenger no longer vibrates with each message after a number of consecutive messages, this is something I would love to have on this app because I can’t tell you how much I love feeling my phone vibrate over and over and over for 30 minutes, wasting my battery. These are all features that can be resolved by going into the app, but messenger makes the process so much easier and I think GroupMe can apply similar techniques.

Glitching really bad. This app has been pretty good for the last couple years i’ve used it, but in the last few days it has been glitching so horribly I can’t type messages. I’ve made sure my device is updated, restarted it several times, all to no avail. I can only conclude that there is a bug in the app. No idea how or why, but it’s infuriating. I’m unable to communicate with anyone because the blinking line, the one that shows where you’re typing, will disappear or bouncing rapidly up and down so that I can’t type anything. If needed, I have screen recordings of what has been happening. I saw that the app was updated two days ago, and i’ve been having this issue since then.
