Don't not get Progressive they're horrible. This is my reply to their quote : Sorry it's to late I try to give you guys my business but your agent was very unprofessional and I kept getting inaccurate answers . My license been active for about 10 years I never had an accident never made a claim on none of the insurance companies I been with only had 1 or 2 minor violations which both were taken to court by my attorneys got little to no points -- your customer service is horrible and I would never refer or call you guys ever again I called your competition State Farm with in an hour I got Insurance the same day the emailed and faxed me my insurance card and I was able to get my plates and registration from the DMV -- to solve my issue all was needed was simple and or professional communication non of which your agent had -- progressive thanks for nothing -- great job at being horrible and not attempting to help potential clients

So useful!. So glad the days are gone where I had to run by the insurance office frequently, and worse- sit down at someone’s desk making small talk while they type and click at the computer. I started my policy over the phone a couple years ago-emailed info they needed to start it. Then got the app. It’s SO easy to use, convenient, quick. Paperless everything- the app even lets me save my proof of insurance straight to my iPhone wallet. No more rummaging through my glove box! I pay monthly because I’m poor- I get reminder notifications monthly to pay, pay right there, can check all my policy info, change policy stuff, pretty much anything at all that I’d typically have to go in to the office or at minimum make some annoying phone calls to do. I LOVE it! ❤️

BEWARE OF DISCRIMINATION. My 2020 Dodge Challenger has been sitting in the shop for over a month now because progressive did NOT want to pay $200. I pay over $600 in car insurance (we have 2 new vehicles & a young driver). These guys make $200 in 00.2 seconds! On thanksgiving an idiot ran into my door & took off. It was a pain getting on the phone with someone first of all then they had to do a formal investigation as if I ran into something myself. After they concluded I did not they sent the shop the most slap in the face quote of $700. The shop quoted my damages at $2800. Progressive took over 3 weeks to finally approve $2800. No one ever called me or kept me in the loop. I got more calls from the shop than my own insurance provider that I pay over $600 MONTHLY. I’m not sure if these adjusters where having a bad day or if they didn’t take me seriously because I’m a woman, or because I’m hispanic. It seriously has to be something, I have had crappy insurances before that have worked faster, treated me better and actually called than this “big corporate “ insurance. Save yourself the trouble, headache, discrimination & embarrassment go to someone else that values customer service ethics and values Progressive is anything but progressive !

Sneaky and not transparent. I don't understand what's happening here, but I don't like it at all. I registered for Progressive with Snapshot a few months ago. At the beginning, my rate was $121, which was great. Then within a month, I got an email informing me that I was removed from the program due to supposed lack of feedback from my phone.... which I was completely unaware of, because I wasn't notified. The following month, my rate went up to a whopping $238. Over a HUNDRED DOLLAR difference. I didn't even notice, because I wasn't informed of the change. The next month, my rate went up AGAIN to $251. I'm supposed to be billed in the next few days, and I'm nervous to see how much they've increased my rate again. I didn't even notice the changes until today when I checked my bank account. I tried to access the Progressive app to see what's causing these changes, or if they've noted anything on my account, but go figure - the app won't even work. It's stuck on a loading screen. It's not my internet; everything else is working perfectly fine. I'm angry and I feel taken advantage of by this company. There's no transparency whatsoever. I don't have the kind of funds to afford sudden increases in rates like this. If I can't get this resolved by the end of next week, I'm switching insurance.

20 yrs plus. I have used several companies in the past have always had issues. If u file a claim you get dropped or you ran around in circles and wouldn’t get your refund back. Well I have used progressive for over 20 yrs plus and I have never been dropped or cancelled. I’ve had several clams due to other people lack of insurance etc. my claims have always been paid and taken care of in a very quick and professional matter. My friends and family started using progressive because they saw how mine was. The other best part is the amount of discounts they offer that no other insurance company can beat. Sincerely, Your number 1 pleased customer !!

Do not trust or get insurance with Progressive. I got insurance with them and they canceled my policy because I didn’t provide proof of garage when I in fact did. I sent my electric bill in and my Drivers license with both having the same address and they said it was invalid. How is my electric invalid?? It where I live where I paying the electricity !! My Driver license is where I live and give me permission to drive the car.. I didn’t have anything on their list. I called and let them know and they said my bank statement would be fine. I couldn’t find where I could add the documents again on the app and they said I would have to mail or fax them. I do not have the options to do any of that. Why could I add it on the app before but not now. Absolutely ridiculous. This company doesn’t want customers or to make money. How foolish. If you can’t make good decisions by providing proof of garage how will I trust you with other decisions on my vehicle. It’s little things that bring red flags 🚩 about a company.

Rate Changes. Progressive is the cheapest to start, but it continues to change. Our initial rate was $100 a month cheaper and the it randomly went up for no reason between the second and third payments with no explanation. Then we enrolled four vehicles in snap shot for 6 months 3 vehicles said we were on track for savings. One vehicle had a bad first couple months with a lot of hard brakes and a couple of late driving and it said a rate change was likely, but then it had minimal events for the next four months. Our savings on one vehicle was $109 per month, the other was $10 per month, the other said it did not make a change, but the one that said an increase was likely raise our rate $244 per month!!!! So that was a net increase of $135 per month. Snap shot is a joke. Firstly it ranks you by hard stops and fast accelerations , but sometimes those are necessary to avoid collisions and stopping before going through a red light or something. It’s not an accurate measurement of a person’s driving skills. Secondly if there are bad months it does not take into account the other good months. And lastly the penalty for two bad months in one car is significantly greater than three really good cars for all 6 months. My recommendation is tell them to eat their snap shot, because in the end they will get their money back one way or another. It is the biggest bait and switch on the market. My rate is back to the same as it was after all these promises of savings.

Pro theft. All this place does is openly scam people currently I’m an over 40 driver with a perfect driving record, good credit, no claims, no late or missed insurance payments ever. Yet my rate keeps jumping up and I’ve been given at least 5 completely different and conflicting reasons this time alone and even been informed that if progressive knows you’ve been given false information on a contract they will not let you know under any circumstances. Even had a supervisor tell me they didn’t even need to inform me of changes to my policy. Rudest customer service I’ve ever seen and completely useless. This company even claimed I made several claims on my brand new car that has had no issues. This place is a joke and should be shut down for insurance fraud plain and simple. Hope this helps with anyone going through this and deciding to stick with them in the hope it will get better. Let me promise you as a long time customer it will only get worse. I’d rather go with a fly by night company at this point being that I’m openly being scammed by progressive

No good. Overall the worst insurance company ever! After having my vehicle vandalized, I have received ZERO assistance. I have left so many messages for my claim rep and never get a response. Left messages through the app, been leaving voicemails for weeks now, can’t get one single call back. Not only that,because of COVID they no longer come out and assess damage, so you basically have to do their jobs for them. I was told they can’t help me with getting a key made for my car after my keys were stolen. When wanting to tow my car to a friends house who offered to help me fix it, since my insurance has completely failed me, they tell me I don’t have any more. Roadside available because I used it up having them unlock my car twice. So now I would have to pay out of pocket on top of having to fix it all myself. What a joke. They wanted me to pay a deductible to have my windshields replaced since both of them were knocked out. I heard most companies don’t charge deductible for glass. So lame. Go to any other company!

I loved them until…. I’ve had Progressive for about 3 yrs. Never had anything bad to say about them. Always super helpful. Always so willing to accommodate my economic needs. Recently, I had the privilege to purchase a home. I wanted to keep Progressive and bundle my car with my home policy. Everything was perfect until I told them that I had a Boxer mix pup. Needless to say, she’s a certified Emotional Support Animal. Fully trained. But this didn’t matter to them. As soon as the heard the “mixed” part they wanted a picture of my dog. I first refused, but then I sent pictures of my trained dog off leash at a dog beach. Even with this, they proceeded to refuse me home insurance because, I quote “your dog looks like a “pitbull”.” That was that. I was done! There is nothing more to say. Progressive has nothing progressive about them. When it comes to BSL, they have come so short that I am just sad and frustrated. The dog is never at fault for anything. It’s NEVER a bad dog. ITS ALWAYS A BAD OWNER!! Thank you.

App maybe, Apple wallet card not so much. The app functions for me, for the most part. I can see my id cards and make payments. But when I try to add id cards to Apple wallet the app simply adds the blue card icon to the wallet with limited info (policy number and effective dates, no vehicle specific info). When I messaged progressive on twitter I was instructed to click on the ‘P’ icon on the blue wallet card. This simply opens the app requiring logging in to see the actual card, making the wallet version an unnecessary step. Also, I pay my annual premium one-time lump sum, in November (as I’ve done for the last 19 years). After making the current Nov annual payment, the app reflects my next payment due is in March which isn’t a monthly, semiannual, or annual payment. No clue where this date comes from. Not the worst app, but one wonders what the developers are getting paid to do when the bugs are long-term.

Zero recommended for liar company. Don’t trust this company guys… I have insurance with them four years ago I never charge them any Single dollar then when I have sample issue they give me a hard time and when I called them the lady her name Jamila didn’t answer and the customer representative Was asking me to send photos of the accident by them APP and I’ve been sent it the photos more than 15 times and they keep lie to me and said we didn’t received it send again… I have one week now waiting for them and nobody care about me …When you call them as a first time to have insurance with them they are so friendly so nice and helpful After that if you call them and you want to claim your accidentThey remove the mask from them face and they show you really how you was wrong when your choice them to ensure your car …👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 progressive 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Easy/Simple!. I’m not sure what more one could ask for! The app affords me the access I need to look into my policies; the UI is straightforward, with Auto and Marine separates into two separate tabs (and I’d guess other forms would also be handled as such— like Home, etc.). Electronic ID cards (as well as printer-friendly ones) are accessible with merely a thumbprint unlock and one click. Everything is literally right there and easy to navigate. • the one difficulty I’ve experienced has been in cases where I needed to change my policy (e.g., sold a vehicle and needed to remove coverage while also considering a slight change in coverage/deductible as well). In that case, as well as the last time I purchased a new vehicle, I was not able to follow through with the necessary processes 100% to completion via the app alone. Ultimately, logging in via web browser and eventually speaking with someone over the phone was a necessity. Granted, there are many loopholes for fraud when dealing with the aforementioned changes in policy, so I’m understanding on that. Thus far, now four years with Progressive, they’ve turned out to be rather impressive overall!

Please let me continue with progressive progressive or anyone affiliated with you.. I really need to stay on board with progressive and can’t apologize enough as was in a bad place for 2 months and now and for the last 6 weeks everything has been wonderful. Company car with gas card. Please let me know ASAP I really don’t want to go insurance shopping because I have 2 months left on this 6 month interval. Please forward to department that will make the decision to keep me onboard even if we remove collision and comp! I need the Sr22 liability roadside assistance these are a must and appreciate you reporting to California. Please reconsider and keep me onboard. James George Phillips

Very difficult and canceled my policy without my knowledge. My car broke down and I needed roadside assistance, so I called and they told me that my policy was canceled due to not submitting documents. I sent the documents MONTHS prior and the person I was on the phone with said it was their fault they didn’t have it in the system. By the way I have paid my policy every month ON TIME. So you mean to tell me I was driving without coverage for about 2 and a half months without anything being sent to my phone?? It’s ridiculous. Roadside assistance isn’t included in the policy u have to add it which is dumb as well. I’m paying over $250 for no roadside?? Then the next thing is, once I got the roadside added, it’s taking them 2 DAYS to get a tow truck to where my car is…the lady DID NOT follow the instructions of telling the towing company that the clearance is lower than 7ft and I will need a smaller tow truck. You have to also pay out of pocket if your tow if farther than 15 miles. Very inconvenient for a teenage driver.

App is useless and coverage is a fraud. I held watercraft policy with progressive since 2018. Last year in 2020 I did not renew my policy due to the pandemic. The boat sat in storage and was not used (where could we go). I restarted my policy as restrictions lifted and my family and I got the boat out of storage and planned a day trip. Very common in the Bay Area. The bottom of the craft got damaged from rocks - we were not aware until we pulled the boat out of the water. We filed a claim and it was flag as suspicious because he did maintain our 2019 policy through 2020. The claim got denied. Not too mention the app did not let me make a claim. I had to call claims and waited on hold 19 min before I got a rep on the line. We were penalized for not keeping our policy through the pandemic where we didn’t even use the boat. The claim was not with ease and took a month before our claim was denied. Allowing for our coverage to be maintained another month. I canceled My policy and need to cover the cost of repairing the damage and loosing $200 for coverage fees that were not covered. My policy included full coverage! I am a victim of fraud from Progressive!

I had a very disappointing experience. I'm not sure what's wrong with this insurance company and why things had to be so difficult. They could not contact their underwriters to let them know that I wasn't NOT married or living with the person that I used to share an insurance policy with... then there was the problem with the physical address which was not the same as the mailing address. They actually canceled me three times in a row by mail which I did not receive it except for the last one, so I didn't have coverage for a few days each time. Luckily I canceled the policy before they did and found a reputable company to go with. They refused to believe I was divorced (it's been 3 years now)or even acknowledge that I had a drivers license with my physical address on it wasn't good enough for them- they needed me to go to my place of work and have them sign a piece of paper so they could see it. Really?! Joe Blow could've been my signee!! I didn't tell them what a piece of garbage company I think they are on the phone because I know it's not the fault of one employee. But they appear to be extremely unorganized and I will never go back!!

Worst insurance company. We switched our insurance to Progressive because we got a good deal. However, out of nowhere they decided to raise our rate by over a $1,000 and when we didn’t approve and decided to cancel and switch to another policy they want to charge us the increase in the policy we canceled. We called them multiple times to try and resolve the issue because they threatened to send the balance to a collection agency. Every time we call, they are very rude and unwilling to help us at all and are still insisting on us to pay the money they increased in a policy that we canceled. The increase they did was unauthorized from our end and they did not inform us of such changed until they added it to our policy already. We have all the documents and proof and have reported them to the consumer protection agency and tried to get in touch with them again after to come to a conclusion but they still are not helpful. and if it comes down to it we will sue because that is fraud.

Tracking drains battery and records phone use when there is none. So, I went through the FAQ and it said that having the app set to always one for the location services doesn't drain the battery. That might be true for people who have newer phones but of your phone is 3 or 5 years old forget it! It also records that you have used the phone even if you are just listening to music via the Bluetooth. It is very annoying. Half the time I have it on it doesn't record my trips, even if I have the app location tracking set to always on. I get that they are saving money by not giving you the little device but the app could be more friendly about privacy and tracking. Also more considerate about the fact that people don't always have the newest phone so their battery will drain faster.

Progressive more like Regressive. Had to download app to file a claim. They made me send in photos and video to make a photo estimate. A day later they tell me sorry but we saw prior damage to the car so we can’t give you money upfront to fix. Instead you have to schedule a appoint with a bodywork yourself and call us back to send an agent to get it looked at. I swear the adjuster have eye’s like my grandma cause they saying the damage that they were at fault wasn’t even them and they don’t want to pay for it. My left bumper was entirely cracked and they called it ‘prior damage’. Why make a useless app to file a claim when 90% of the claim was me talking with a person. And they still want me to call them back. No point in having an app if I could of just emailed them the photos and video. My representative also went on vacation as she told me I have no other option but to go to the bodywork to drop it off. Well, how am I going to go to work without a car. I give the company 5 stars if they don’t scam me on the claim and have their representative drive me from and back from work. Since, they’re to cheap to get me a substitute car to drive. For the sake of others and you, don’t get this cheap insurance that’s not willing to pay

Terrible customer service. I pay my policy in full every 6 months and I’m excluded from pip due to having qualified healthcare. In Jan 2023, they messed up and lost the docs and it was a whole thing. Now today Dec 1, they make an automated call and sent a letter stating policy canceled on Dec 3 bc they put pip coverage back on my policy when I don’t need it. What gets me is no call, text, email, mail, app ping letting me know they addd a bill for coverage because of course “they never received documents in June. So they wait until Dec 1. I have proof of emails of me sending it and they still won’t remove the bill. I resent again and they say they will credit me back. Run far away from this company. Pure incompetence. No apologies. They just say we sent emails, no you didn’t. Last email was in June and it said docs received lol so that’s why this make progressive such a joke.

Great…Unless you have more than one policy... The app has everything you could need in an insurance app. They have your cards, documents, sections for starting and monitoring claims, all good. Where they miss BIG TIME is if you have more than one policy with them, the labels for each policy are just “auto”,”motorcycle”, etc. My family has all our cars and a few motorcycles with them. Every time I want to check someone I have to open each policy to see what car or bike it’s for. The Home Screen doesn’t even list the make of the vehicle let alone the model. My son got pulled over on his motorcycle, said he felt like and idiot in front of the officer having to open each policy one by one in order to find the one for the bike he was on. I feel the fix (improvement) is pretty obvious… Let the user custom label each policy to they can be found easier. Fix that and I’d go 5 stars for sure.

Why is there no option to email customer service. UPDATED: I received a message saying that customer service can be contacted. Cool. But the only way to “contact customer service” Is to call them or use the AI bot. I don’t want to Call customer service regarding changes to my account or issues in my account or questions about my account. I want to EMAIL customer service regarding these issues. That was my point of my original review. Yes, you can do basic things in the app, like viewing information or find a phone number to call customer service. But if you have issues or questions, the only way to get help is to CALL. Not only do you get bounced around in their automated system, then from person to person (because the automated system doesn’t actually send you where it’s saying it is, apparently)- but I have to waste my very valuable time on the phone. I want to email so that I have record of the information they give me, so that I can reference it later if I need to. I don’t want to “chat” with a bot, that runs you in circles. I don’t want to waste my time on the phone where I have to take intensive notes. I WANT TO EMAIL WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE regarding my account!!!!!!!

Review experience. I have had Progressive for several years without having to use it. Sadly that changed earlier this year when a rather large elk hit the front of my SUV crumpling the hood breaking the headlights but considering what it could have been, I was blessed. When I called to report it, I was extremely pleased at how smoothly the whole process went, from taking my information, explaining their process and making sure I had phone numbers should I need to contact them about the claim. Their adjuster contacted the facility who would be doing the repair work and things went smoothly. I was impressed from beginning to end and grateful for their professional management of everything.

Poorly Designed Worthless App. Worthless App. Better to just keep a paper copy of insurance info along with you vehicle registration in glove box. When App opened in iPad wallet you can’t see both people on the insurance card, but paper version does show both wife and husband . Doesn’t show the same information in one viewing area as the paper version that is printed. When you need it, you have to enter a password and hope you remember it along with the dozens of other passwords you have to remember. Shaved my beard and had new glasses and face ID didn’t work. If for some reason password doesn’t work because of connection issues, or you are the second person listed on insurance card, you are going to get a ticket for not being able to show proof of insurance. This App failed me. Simple solution instead of App would just be a simple screenshot photo of the paper version. I keep screenshot in a iPhone photo album and a paper copy in my vehicle’s glove box and both are guaranteed to work every time. Paper copy Simple, easy, and provides everyone wishing to see ‘proof of insurance’ all info, especially if a friend uses your car.

Simplicity of insurance at your fingertips. First it started off for me hunting for new insurance. I started checking with insurance agencies that do well with wrecked vehicles quickly for their clients on our tow lot. So I visited 4 companies. 2 years in a row progressive has out beat every competitor of theirs in my area. Then the app is simple and easy to use. Even my not so tech savvy husband can easily navigate the app. Then another pro As well is customer support. It is easy to deal with. If I make a change I don’t end up having to make a million more phone calls to correct the original change I made or create a bigger issue. This was an issue I had with a major competitor(Jake). I’ll continue to do my bi yearly shop around but as long as progressive is cheapest we will continue to use them as our insurance agents! & tbh unless the difference is drastic $20 or more a month than a competitor we will continue to choose progressive.

Great Mobile App & Customer Service. I’ve been insured through progressive for going on 1 year and I’ve only had to call in 2 times & each time I’ve been beyond pleased with the customer service reps I had the pleasure speaking to. Last year when we switched residents we were advised we’d be applicable for $100 dollars off our current term. I thought that was such a nice gesture! But N~E~Ways the application is so user friendly. I’ve printed off our ID cards through the mobile app, always get reminders a few days prior to the bill being due, I can go through my payment history or see my up and coming payments (etc) . I also set up auto pay which applied another discount to the account.

Confused. Why when i had autopay set up did it not officially go through. Even when i looked on the app in billing and payments it appears to have gone through in a cash transfer. Only by talking to my bank did i find out it never went through. Then upon going into make a payment on the app there is no financial information saved for me? Ive been doing business with you since 2017 and been using auto pay for at least two years. This is most concerning and an unacceptable business practice. Would i have been considered “insured “ had i been in an accident? Why was i not notifyed the payment hadn’t gone through? Is it time for me to shop for new insurance?

Better rates than others. I’m giving Progressive 5 stars because they offered me the best rate and great customer service. My insurance monthly is $107 for one car with Snapshot. Other companies wanted to charge me close to $200 or even more a month. Never had tickets or accidents so I’m not sure why so high. Here’s my comment about customer service: Recently, I was gone about 6 hours from home for work. I drive a company car. I was gone for about a month and a half. While gone, I had no access to my email because I use a company computer and phone which restricts a lot of things. I came home a few days ago and found my car battery was dead. I got into my email and saw my rate went up to $176 every month. This was due to the Snapshot not being recognized because of the battery. I called Progressive and let them know of the issue. In about 15 minutes, they re-enrolled me in Snapshot and I got the discount back. I really appreciated that because I can’t afford the extra $70 every month for insurance. Thank you Progressive for being my #1 insurance!

Amazing customer service A++. This review is more based around the claims process then the app itself. I hit a deer 2 weeks ago around midnight on a Sunday. I used the app to file my claim instantly and the very next day I received a call from them confirming everything. They had me in a rental car and my vehicle scheduled at the body shop literally 1 day after the accident. It took the body shop about 1 1/2 weeks to complete the work but the entire time my Progressive rep kept me updated and was very polite and professional. Everything went so smoothly which is very much appreciated after having an accident which is stressful enough. Thank you progressive!!

Transposed my coverage. Removed my sons truck and added his jalopy car....somehow my very nice car got switched to liability and his car got the full coverage. I made no changes to my car’s coverage. We found out when I filed my accident claim after a deer jumped out in front of us this morning...best yet, since it was done on the app, It’s being investigated but seems fruitless at this point. No help to be offered so far. Guy on phone told me that he was not going to argue with me...such a disappointment. NEVER use this app. NOT EVER! No matter how many times they constantly remind you that it can all be done on the app. Also, as they keeeeep reminding me, they sent me policy information, I should have reviewed my car even though I did not make a change. I suggested to them that this could have happened to others and they are not concerned. Check your policies. I hope no one ever has to deal with what we are going through.

Don’t get Progressive. I’ve had problems with Progressive auto insurance in the past, but they were mostly minor issues and were quickly resolved However, I got an email a few days ago saying my 6 month payment didn’t go through. I went online to pay, and they said they would only accept Western Union or a cancelled cashiers check for payment. I called customer service today - she confirmed that the payment had not gone through. When I asked what my payment method was, she said she didn’t have that information! I asked if she could run my card on file, again she said she didn’t have that information. Apparently if a payment doesn’t go through they need a ‘guaranteed’ payment method (see cashiers check or Western Union). The only reason I use Progressive in the first place is the relatively low price and ease of use/payment. I have been a customer for 10 years+ but I cancelled immediately because Progressive has no value to me if they make things this difficult. By the way, I currently have an excellent credit rating and have nothing that would prevent a payment from going through. The dealbreaker was them not even being able to give me information regarding my method of payment (I believe it was AMEX). Totally distrustful and they wouldn’t meet me in the middle and accept another payment over the phone. Goodbye forever Progressive!

App good insurrance bad. Okay, so why is it, that my insurance is so high, with no traffic vialations, no wrecks, driving for over 12 years, and have had insurance since? $125/mo is insane. It should be $80, or even less than that. I understood when I was under 26 years of age sure, you thought as that age of still less than adult. But being over that age usually, and I mean everyone I have talked to, said that you get a decrease because you are above that age if no reports or anything. Overpriced for the least used thing I pay for. I hate that the price went up last year because the accidents “in my area”. And as someone who looks at the accidents in my area, there were less than the year prior, so that is a load of bull. The app is smooth easy to use and works as intended. Could have built in browser instead of taking you to another website to play around with other products. Should also have a dark mode, which is important.

Fraud-Choose another insurance. Progressive Insurance company is a fraud. And I suggest you go with Lemonade, Allstate or state farm. I’ve been a loyal customer for more than 2 years, and have never missed a payment. December 2019 my kitchen flooded and they approved the claim. Our living situation was impacted and we could no long cook. Progressive agreed to cover the Additional living expenses and did so as we submitted monthly receipts. Our adjuster suggested that we accumulate all the receipt till the end and submit one big bulk. We agreed to doing so and submitted all receipts on August 2021. Our adjuster left. Yes he quit the company, along with the previous one. Now there is an outstanding ale balance owed to us since august. It’s now November. No logical updates and awhile of excuses. Please save yourself the headache and go with a devoted insure. I have opened a case with the BBB and will continue to update this review as things progress.

Review of automatic system. I appreciate the fact that you didn’t go nuts or something because my payment didn’t clear. I have a new financial advisor and somehow your payment wasn’t properly moved to my new Discover account. Your message was easy to understand and getting here to fix the issue was a breeze. Once here, it was smooth sailing, issue resolved and for once I didn’t have a headache when I got done. Very nice and well done. Other companies could take a note of how easy this system works. I usually prefer an agent, but this was so easy I can save your folks for when I have a real problem. Again, well done.

Formal written complaint. Progressive has an overall response time with live agents as outstanding, A facade to say the least. The past 90 days I’ve had three separate occurrences where licensed agents provided inaccurate information which increased potential liability to the policy holders. I raised an initial complaint with a supervisor, which in turn, should of been reported to the department of insurance and financial services to investigate the ethical concern of an agent working as a appointed progressive representative. In addition to my first official complaint, I learned less than 24 hours ago, again from yet another agent representing progressive auto insurance that I’ve paid 27 months of increased premiums on a policyholder that was listed “incorrectly” according to your agent. I am appalled by the blatant, calculated and carelessness of each an every appointed agent represented under the progressive umbrella.

Awesome service. I just wanted to let you know that my insurance agent is amazing! A little over a year ago, I was in an auto accident that was not my fault. Although another insurance company was handling my claim, my agent was extremely helpful throughout my whole awful experience. Every time I added a car to my insurance for one of my children, he was always available to make sure the automobile was covered prior to leaving the lot. I highly recommend progressive insurance to anyone looking to switch especially after the difficult time I had when I did have to deal with another company. Thank you for everything!

Changing star Rate. It seems that it takes a few hours for the app to recognize the policies and passwords. After working off and on looking for returned emails I was successful in registering both policies in the app along with it recognizing my password without having to change it. Still only four stars because of the difficulty in setting everything up. Hopefully I will be able to change this review later. I just purchased two policies with Progressive. One for my RV and the other my auto. I was allowed one policy only and the app will not recognize the password that Apple gave. The app sends me to a web site that indicates an email will be sent but no email sent. I think the problem is multiple policies. If that is the case it needs to be updated immediately to accept multiple policies with Progressive if they want to be a player in this highly competitive insurance industry. Online customer service is important. Maybe you can reply to the app.

Terrible experience all around. The app is not user friendly. Progressive want you to attempt to solve your problem yourself by using their app first. Next when you call them you have to talk to a robot. Finally when you speak to a representative they transfer you to at least three different people. On the transfer to a different representative you have to restate your case every time. The last call I was on I asked a simple question on the price difference between a 6 month policy and a 12 month policy. I was put on hold for 15 min until the call subsequently dropped. On top of everything I’ve been with progressive for at least four years putting up with poor service whilst every time I’ve had to use my insurance they seem to look out for them selves rather than look out for my well being or welfare. This would be explained by having an open case closed without my notice and almost no contact made throughout the entirety of the case. Do not chose this money grab scheming company. You would 100% be better off throwing your money into a trash filled dumpster fire, a direct replication of this insurance company’s performance.

The WORST!!. I’ve always had AAA and never had a problem with any insurance needs. I made the mistake of switching to Progressive. When I hit a deer in the middle of the night in Oregon they did nothing to help me and it took 7 days to hear from an adjuster. Meanwhile I’ve spent countless hours on the hold listening to the repeating message that I can use this app to reach my representative. I’ve sent at least 4 messages and never heard back. When I finally got an adjuster he said not to use this app; I just would’ve had to wait longer on hold to reach someone. Thankfully I had his direct number so I wouldn’t have to deal with that again. JK!! He left the department so when I tried to reach him regarding a rental car issue, his voicemail said to call the main line again!!! Unbelievable!! I’m 7 weeks into this mess and have had the worst experiences and have spent so much money while stranded out of state. What am I paying you for?!

App review. I like the app all together. However, I do not like the idea of having to automatically withdraw payments, when I would prefer to withdraw the payments myself every time, so that way I know for a fact how much is being taken out of my account. Not to mention, that when, using Snapshot from Progressive, and not being able to get into it, not knowing where are you stand on your driving record. I think that collectively the app is a great tool however when using Snapshot, and not being able to get into it, knowing that your payment has increased without your knowledge, it’s kind of crazy.

Extremely convenient but has a few bugs. Pros: When someone purchases a new vehicle they often do it on a Saturday because that is often when they have a day off. I do not know of a local insurance company that is open on a Saturday so the app makes it so convenient to insure your car before you leave the parking lot. Cons: While setting up my new policy, you are redirected out of the app to the website where the screen went several times to a cat 🐈‍⬛ saying things were not always purrfect. Also when I went to pay for my policy the pay now button just did not work. These are minor issues though and I just went to my app and paid so it really wasn’t that bad. Thanks Progressive.

85% of my favorite things. The app is amazing. Always works when I want it to. Shows me both of cards when my policy is close to renewing. Anything that I can’t do on the app it will link me to the website and keeps me logged in so I can get things done. They have all of my documents stored in one single place online so if I miss a mailing or delete an email I can still check it out. I gave it 5 stars and said its 85% is because I wish you could pull up the dec page and voi on the app and save it like the ID card. I love that I can see the status of my payments online and that I get a reminder a few days before it pulls the payment. Originally I could sign my docs online. I would like to be able to sign all docs online. Like when I make changes in the middle of the policy period. And for the auto they don’t let you lower you comp/coll online. It would be great if I could do it myself instead of having to call in. Otherwise it’s great.

Roadside assistance. Car broke down, took 3 phone calls to talk to a person. I am at work, wife with 2 young kids in the car and finally I was able to talk to someone and she can’t help and had to transfer me but after she tried signing me up for auto payments while she knew wife and kids on the side of the road. I am current on payments. Then got transferred me back to the automated system that I was originally on after she promised to stay online until we got a live person, well she lied. Then 20 minutes later I find another person to talk to and she can’t find the address or the pin we took with coordinates. She was not from anywhere near my area and wanted to send us a tow truck 50 minutes away from location. From the time I called progressive to getting a tow truck took 3 hours. I have my home and auto through them and I cannot change insurance fast enough. Tow truck lady was nice but absolutely everything else garbage. Run from progressive

Review of App, Not Company. Unlike some people, this review is strictly in regards to the Progressive application, not the company itself, as intended by this platform... Overall, it’s handy to have access to all of your auto insurance policy details at your fingers, though it may help to make the menu a bit more user friendly by adding a short description near each option so you know where to go in order to locate what you’re looking for or what you need. My biggest problem with the app, is that it only shows your auto policy information, not home or renter’s insurance. For that, you’ll have to go online and log in that way. So for one policy, it’s ready to go at your fingertips, the other(s), you’ll need to open the browser and do it that way. Seems inefficient to me.

Progressive is giving me headaches!!. I’ve been dealing with progressive for a few months after getting hit back in December. After sending the agent pictures and videos of the damage and the repair estimates he tells me the only way they can do the claim and give me money is through the app. Annoying, because I’m tired of needing to download an app for every company I have to deal with, but I do it. Every time I try to upload the pictures it freezes and crashes!!! One time I almost got to 70% after 10 minutes of waiting. I call the agents office and they send me an email with a link to send the pictures. After I take new pictures and send them they get back to me over a week later and say their claims estimators can’t tell which angle of the car it is without sending the pictures through the app and that they “fixed the app so just keep trying”. For some reason I believe them but the app keeps not working for me!!

Fraud ! Fraud ! Fraud !. I initially purchased my car insurance since the agent whom i called informed me that I only have to pay 370 dollars for the first 2 months then 170 plus for the succeeding months as having a 1 year driving history here in the US. They have send me a contract which I signed with the given payments. After 2 weeks they have informed me that the agent has written that I have 20 years of experience instead of 1 year that made the quotation low and asked me to pay 1600 dollars instead. I never loed to the agent, prolly his way to get customer right away! I called their hotline and would want to compalin but they keep on hanging up the phone and i felt like i was scammed and no one ever helped me! I asked them an explanation on how on earth someone with a one year experience without any accident history will be charge 1600? But no one answered me after 10 calls, until the last agent just drop the phone! Now they are charging me 260 dollars on top of 370 dollars that i just paid for a total of 8 since I took the policy. Heck no, you can file me credit report but i wont get trapped by the scam strategy of this company! Never ever take any insurances from them! They are all for money and wouldnt help you if you need them! Fraud

Review rating. One thing about Progressive Insurance after paying faithfully and early last year, no accidents, over age 60, clean driving record, so that’s free money INSURANCE companies! My insurance goes up instead of down, couldn’t tell me a reason. No accidents, when I got that policy my insurance was supposed to go down. I do rate your app well your app is fast your faster than the banks. Appreciate you waiting for this last part of my premium payment it’s was hard to pay all at once. Veterans Day is tomorrow and I solute all Veterans. Not a bad person an honest person. Not a valued customer just a customer one income trying my hardest, but just can’t hardly make it anymore.

What is happening?. I've never had an issue using the progressive app or website until this week! I have been unable to access my renewal policy on the app or the website to see the breakdown cost per vehicle. Luckily we still get paper copies so we could easily see the amt per car. Then I went online to pay my renewal premium in full (to save $) and it says I owe $4.91 by 8/13, which is our renewal date. It says I can't pay the balance until 9/13??? I even tried to pay the full amount by changing the $4.91 but it will also not allow me to pay over the amount due. This has been super frustrating. I couldn't find a phone # to call, first chatted with the Flo Bot and then a live agent. The live agent took seemingly forever & then told me to contact an agent. WHAT?????? Why do we even have technology if I am not able to help myself pay my BILL??????? Feels like things are moving backwards here as I have paid online every renewal for years with progressive and never had an issue!!! So frustrated.

Don’t waste your time or money!. Learned the hard way that I should have invested a little more money and gone with a better company. I purchased insurance before I left for work and then 20 minutes later a jerk in front of me slammed on his brakes! The info clearly states that coverage begins “immediately”, but that’s not true. My guess since the guy was “so injured” that he insisted he be taken by ambulance to the hospital but sure wasn’t injured enough to call insurance from the back of the ambulance and was threatening suing, progressive decided to refuse coverage. Even though I clearly showed my email with new documents with the time stamp they disagreed and denied my claim. When I demanded the forms for an appeal, I was denied and told that there is no appeal process and was hung up on. And I still get to make payments on the stupid thing while now having to get another vehicle and pay for an attorney to sue them. Then when I got other insurance, good one this time, Progressive emailed me to “give us a call and see if we can give you a lower rate”?! Nothing like poaching from other companies!

Intrusive. The app + emails generate a lot of notifications most of which are just noise. Starting to just ignore most communications. Returning to this review, the only reason I signed on with Progressive was because they narrowly beat out GEICO with the entry snapshot discount. I consented to letting them track me at all times and enabled that on my iPhone, but got yet more notifications telling me I had not done this. Waited on a helpline for 30 minutes to find out that the problem was indeed not that, but that I wasn’t on track to make the 75 trips in policy period to be eligible. Fine, notify me that in the first place. Told the guy it wasn’t going to work, and he gave me the ‘ooh that’s gonna raise your rate’ and it did by twice the initial discount. Not a fan of this service.

Let’s Get Back Real Human Customer Service!. I totally detest doing business online!! It’s very frustrating and doesn’t save ME anything. It does expose me to a lot of things I don’t want to be exposed to. There’s no guarantee that my personal information won’t be hacked. I can’t ask questions for clarification whenever needed. It’s very time consuming to have to spell/type out everything and by the time I get some of it typed out, I have forgotten what all I wanted to discuss with the stupid computer that can’t answer my questions or isn’t programmed to understand what I might be inquiring. When I contact a company, I expect to speak to a living, breathing, thinking human being, not an AI machine!! I’m guessing that this review will be assessed by a computer rather than a real live human being.

Not getting cheaper after 3 yrs. This app is nice very useful and easy to use. Been with Progressive for 3 years and got that GOLD status already that says DISCOUNTS for loyalty clients. HOWEVER, when I see it there was really no discount, the discount you get is actually when you pay for the whole 6 months the in FULL. I compared it with another auto insurance provider and the rate was a lot cheaper. So now after 3 years I’m ending my loyalty to Progressive since they’ve been charging me more and more every renewal. I have no ticket and no claims. Service is not that bad though customer service rep clearly working from home can hear children and dogs in the background. But that’s fine totally understand.

Scam. We did automatic payment for our renewal. Got an email saying payment would process on the 14th. We were waiting for the charge to hit the account, which typically can take 2-3 days. Today I received an email saying our insurance will lapse for 1 day. I was so confused, because we did automatic payment. I had to manually input my card and then was told coverage wouldn’t start until tomorrow. Then I called customer service and the agent confirmed that this happens often, which makes me believe Progressive does this on purpose so you don’t have coverage for a day or so. She says sometimes the bank will kick it back for no reason too. Not happy with this and this is such a scam.

Progressive is a joke. I filed a claim and they couldn’t even get a representative out to see the damage for the car. I had to download their useless app and do a photo estimate. A bunch of pictures and videos that will get seen when they want to because they still haven’t gone through them after 4 days. My dad is with State Farm and they sent their representative within 2 days after everything was filed and in order to estimate the damage. He didn’t have to worry about anything, they handled it absolutely everything even with giving him the best options for a rental. All this was in order so fast. Been working with progressive for almost 3 weeks what a shame. Do what you are payed for. I shouldn’t have to do it for you.

Snapshot feature is a 1-star. While the snapshot phone app works quite well at detecting hard braking and acceleration, it is TERRIBLE at detecting the status of the driver. Recently I took a vacation with my sister, in which she was doing all the driving. My snapshot registered most trips as me being the driver, a few (correctly) as me being the passenger, and several that listed as public transit or bicycling? If you often ride with other people, this snapshot mobile app WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU. I'm giving the app as a whole an extra 1 star, as the insurance policy and claim info seems easy to find and navigate. Snapshot mobile functionality needs serious work on tagging driver/passenger/transit status.

Progressive feedback. I’ve been with progressive for at least 30 years thru 4 states and time I start at the beginning makes me laugh seriously. Not upset about it but it gives me a good chuckle. I have NOTHING BUT praise, grateful for your reps and their knowledge, each n everyone is polite, courteous and EXPLAINS if you don’t understand which btw is me! Unbelievable. This insurance company was about to drop my insurance to $90 a month...pretty good right? But because My gf lives with me even though she doesn’t even drive my car they raised my Monthly bill to $174....how do they even come up with that number....and they canceled my insurance because I apparently didn’t call and update my info even though I did and when I called again they didn’t answer this happened multiple times before they canceled my insurance. If I have any good advice in me at all it is this. Whatever you do DO NOT GO THROUGH THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND TRY AND BLAME YOU....it is not only stressful but irresponsible at the same time there customer service is garbage even in the chat option. I would rather pay double anywhere else just to have good customer service that is not so disrespectful

Good insurance, bad security.. They have the same coverage same as other insurance companies. decent customer service. My one complaint, and it’s a big one, which is why I drop them down to three stars, is there lack of security, consciousness, and measures. In an age where identity, theft and device hacking is rampant, they force you to share your login to their app (breaking the cardinal rule of account security) in order to have additional drivers in your policy to access all the benefits, including downloading their own insurance card themselves. And for some reason they’re soft serve people can’t figure out how to have each person have their own name on their insurance ID.

Terrible. I've been an excellent driver for years, no a single ticket in well over 15 years. I got one ticket on trumped up charges because it was the end of the month and the HP officer was making quota. I got a ticket for going 85 when I had proof I was going 80. And he ticketed me for illegally driving in the HOV lane even though I have a commuter pass. I paid the ticket because it would have cost me more money to take off work and go to court twice to fight it. Once to deny it and once to actually fight it. You know how it goes. And you know the police know that most people will do this, that's why they get away with it. Anyway, despite the explanation, Progressive raised my rates 20 dollars a month for this! I will be changing services as soon as possible. Very disappointed in you Progressive. Two thumbs way down 👎👎

Worst experience. I don’t usually write reviews, but I would steer clear of Progressive if possible. The only reason I am staying with them for the moment is because they are cheap (you get what you pay for), and I don’t drive much. Ive had a horrible experience and yet there has been absolutely no problem with my car, a late payment or an accident. They send you dozens of vague documents and threaten to cancel your policy constantly. When you give polite feedback they don’t listen or take any ownership for the huge issues with their system. Ive had 21st and Geico before them with zero issues. I shudder to think how their claims department will be, because sales, billing, and underwriting are all total chaos.

Rates going up out of nowhere. I changed my insurance policy because I was paying over $200 and when I got my quite from progressive they offer me a policy for $130. I liked it a lot and accept the whole snapshot and autopaynent stuff. First month they took me out of the auto payments and added family members to my auto policy. Causing my rate to go up to $268. I was so upset and gave them the call they said i list the discount of autopayment but that i was still enrolled in autopay and that my family lives with me. Every month is something new and my rate is going up and up. I do not recommend progressive to anybody. Id rather know how much I will have to pay since the beggining than find out every month what they will like to charge. Horrible experience!

Progressive works. I’ve had Progressive for several years now. I have read the reviews and I’m stunned. My whole family has Progressive, and we have never had anything close to these negative comments happen. Customer Service is amazing. When I got my policy it took very little time. Any questions I have are answered promptly. This is not true about other big named insurance companies I had in the past. There are 17 households in my family that are insured with Progressive. That says something about the company. If they were really as bad as the comments suggest we wouldn’t be there.

Named insured. I have given my address several times and continue to get update address notices. I have added my wife several times and yet she is still not a named insured on the policy. Your employees would not send me a binder as they did not look at the policy dates. The bank didn’t believe it. The bank address was wrong on your software. It too Five progressive employees and 7 hours on the phone to try and straighten all this out. My wife is still not a names insured and you still say I need to update my address when it is correct on the policy. I guess I’ll just blame it on Covid

AWESOME!. I have been with progressive since 2015. My car insurance is only $85 a month, and I just got renters insurance tonight for $16 a month because I bundled it with the car. I have never had an issue with them. The app has always worked great. In response to the first review. It tells you when you open the app and look at your digital copy of your ID card if your states police officers will accept electronic proof of insurance, and not in paper form. In PA you can use your electronic ID card as a valid form of insurance. Just pay attention to what the prompts tell you.

Biggest scam of the year. I used to have Geico for years and somehow this progressive keeps sending me false advertisement so I switched to them. After I signed up and then the drama began. They kept asking me for the same info which I already provided. They have no common sense whatsoever. From where I live and work, the internet is provided and progressive keeps asking for internet bill. Ridiculous. I finally canceled my policy after almost 2 months and. For 6 month policy, it’s $674. Now they only refunded me back $374 for using it for only 2 months. So I feel like this is their strategy to scam people. Giving out false advertisement and then using nonsense excuse to make customer cancel their policy after getting their money. So progressive, from now on, every ad I receive from you guys will go straight to trash bin.

I went back. I bought my first brand new car, 2014 CRV after my husband passed. Unfortunately in April Of that year I had my first accident at 74 years old. I was extremely pleased with the way progressive handled all aspects of the accident where the opposing party claimed Extreme physical damage with me going 20 miles an hour. I did switch because my insurance rates were increased, and I expected that. And this year went back because I was so pleased with their concerned about me and making sure I was OK. (And they gave me a better rate!)

Useless Claims Function. I recently had to file a claim so naturally I went to the app to look into it. "Claims Center" was listed so I went through to file my claim. Great, done, that was easy. Except it wasn't done. The body shop, who received the work order, had to call me to tell me that my claim was not actually submitted yet and that I would have to call for my claim. But everything on the app tells me I'm finished. So I call, and yes, you do have to call. But the app doesn't tell you. It makes it appear like it's finished but you still must call. If there had been a simple notice at the end stating this, that would've been great, but there wasn't. So the fix that could've been done while I was at work didn't actually go through, and now I'm taking up my Saturday morning to do it. Progressive just tell us more clearly for Pete's sake.

Great App Experience. I’ve been using progressive for a few months now and have found the app to be very easy to work through and fine the exact information I need. With most apps they are scattered and hard to navigate, but with this app it makes everything simple and easy to find. Payments are also a speedy aspect that comes with using the app. It takes no time out of my day to go pay bills. Instead I can hop on the app, pay with my phone, and be done within seconds.

Horrible insurance company. I do not advise my friends, acquaintances, and relatives to deal with the insurance company Progressive. The customer service is very bad, beware that you agree to the auto payment feature, you will regret it, they will take more than what was agreed upon, and to solve the problem it will take more than 3 hours on the phone, ( and still not solved) and none of the company’s employees could solve my problem, there is no explanation why they can’t refund me my money. They wouldn’t even give me a credit to my account of the money they took. I asked for Supervisors help more than once and they did not communicate I have one of them with me, and I was told by one of them that a Supervisor will contact you within 48 hours.

Cannot recommend using app for roadside. App will pick nearest address instead of giving actual location to roadside drivers. Currently waiting over a hour and a half for roadside service and had to spend 40 minutes on the phone because you cannot correct location on the app. If you break down on the highway you may not get roadside assistance or at the very least will have to wait a long time to talk to someone to get it updated. Even after talking to someone on the phone and attempting to have the location corrected, the roadside driver still called, asked if I still needed gas, and then didn’t know I was on the highway. Although the service is dirt cheap, I am strongly considering going back to AAA as there roadside service actually works.

Paying my insurance using the Progressive app. I received my statement for my motorcycle insurance, which I have always paid by contacting my agent and giving them my payment info. I am an old guy accustomed to doing things the old way but this time, I decide to use the app instead, hoping that it would be less time consuming. To my surprise, it was. The app is incredibly easy to use and I didn’t have to go looking for anything else to find my balance and make the payment. It was extremely easy to use and I will continue using the app for future transactions.

Excellent. I have been a progressive customer for a good many years now. Any time I have questions or concerns I get answers from polite and professional people. I can handle the majority of my business through the app. However, there’s times I need to speak with a representative and get clarification. I have been approached over and over by the competition. No one has been able to match nor beat the price progressive has my auto insurance. I choose to pay the 6 month premium to save even more money.

I love Progressive. Years ago, I was trying to back out of a parking space. A guy came flying into the parking lot and ran right into my car. I told him I was sorry and gave him my information and that I would pay whatever estimate he got from a body shop. He had a tiny scratch. It was nothing, but I didn’t want any insurance rate hikes for something so minor. Turns out, he decided to file a false claim with Progressive, claiming thousands of dollars worth of damage and not realizing I also had my RV policy with Progressive. He had multiple accidents. I had none. I explained this all to the Progressive Customer service guy. He said, “File a police report. Tell the complete truth of what happened. Don’t lie about anything.” I never heard anything more about this. The guy dropped the claim. Thank you, Progressive. Moral of the story: If you’re in an accident, file a police report as soon as humanly possible. You can usually do it online. (If there are no police doing this for you at the time of the accident.) Provide the case # to your agent.

Progressive is horrible. So after talking with a representative on Tuesday who told me I had roadside assistance in my policy (I was outta fuel and didn't need to get towed, but I was checking), on Friday I needed the roadside assistance serendipitously. After making a request online, I waited an hour in a hot parking lot for verification of help on the way. Then I decided to call and they informed me that I was not covered. Why not call me after I entered my phone number five times? Then I finally procured a tow truck through them, THEY INSURE MY LONG BED EXTENDED CAB TRUCK, but they failed to tell the tow truck service about the size of my vehicle. Three hours after posting the request I called the tow company and he rerouted the correct truck necessary to haul me. I did their job, if like to get paid for it, I guess. The tow truck will be here in another hour now, I'm dropping this insurance company come Monday.

Easy to use, easy to navigate. The Progressive app has been a godsend. No more having to wait on hold for customer service. Processing payments is easily done with a few taps and submitting claims is also as easy as snapping a few pictures and sending it in. No more need for the wait for adjusters to make a trip out to estimate the damage or anything and they cover things as small as backing out of a parking space and accidentally hitting the support beam of the covered parking, denting and messing up the bumper and car to full on collision’s. The prices are fair and discounts are pretty abundant if you k ow where to look.

Certain PSR’s. This is a company that I’ve been involved with for years with different situations continuing to present themselves as life happens. I do appreciate the reps that actually take the time to understand where the problem originated and took time to get the solution. My issue, as a clinical trained CMA and certification with my cna. I’ve worked with the most diverse and unorthodox of folks. They too, are worth any care. They are HUMAN BEINGS. don’t forget your reasoning. My Go stimulated that bothers me is some don’t agree with …. And I’ll say that statement when asked upon private messaging

Reliable Company. I have been a customer of Progressive for many years. My car was totaled when hit by a speeding driver. Everything was taken care of quickly, efficiently, with no effort on my part. I hope to continue with Progressive for as long as I am behind the wheel. The Progressive website is very easy to navigate, nothing is confusing or difficult to find. Making a payment on line took less than five minutes.

WORST INSURERS EVER. All these guys care about is making money off you anything we do; I use my car heavily for work in a small start-up, and I have had my premium increased $200+ dollars even though I have had NO incidents and have reduced my over all coverage to almost nothing. They pay 3rd party agents extra money to bring them people instead of actually allowing some of the MUCH better companies to have us. It’s truly disgusting how progressive treats is customer and make us feel as though everything is our fault. Can’t wait to start looking for companies that are not just in it for a payday and instead the customer. I hope some of these new concepts coming out for insurance are making you guys sweat and see how crappy you treat us!!!!!

Snapshot/Insurance. Snapshot is terrible. I can’t even use maps on my phone without getting discounted for phone use due this issue and even if my car is parked. Getting discounted for hitting your brakes is beyond crazy especially when people constantly slam on brakes in front of you … hitting the brakes is all I can do. This is something that I run into everyday and I cannot avoid. This needs to be corrected immediately. Also, I’m being overcharged for insurance due to my significant other nothing having progressive even after I submitted his insurance information …. I’ve never in my life been charged by an insurance company for someone else in my household when they have insurance. Currently looking for a new insurance company because this is ridiculous. My insurance policy went up drastically.

Progressive App. I normally use State Farm but switched to Progressive this year. I love how easy the app is to use! I don’t have trouble finding anything because the layout is simple and they have a very easy “contact us” section. This section makes me feel comfortable! I can contact customer service quickly from the app as well if I need any help. My information is easy to update as well as making a payment/billing history and finding any documents/ID cards I need.

Stuck in traffic and could only get a hold of a stupid recording machine.. I had an incredibly frustrating moment where my vehicle broke down at a traffic light, the second day i was enrolled with them for insurance. While vehicles were stuck behind me blaring horns, and yelling at me, I was stuck in a loop on their automated msg machine when I desperately needed them for roadside assistance. I never did get a hold of them, and ended up having to get a tow company myself, and foot the bill myself... it has left me wondering why I pay them a monthly fee, when I still have yet to have any kind of service except for when I first signed up and they wanted payment information... I have recently had to pull my car out of the shop again and now am unable to make my insurance payment, and once again have tried to contact again to see if I can defer a payment (a payment I would be able to comfortably make had my $100+ tow bill had been handled like my policy says it would be) But after waiting I still have yet to get a reply about that. Not really sure what I’ve wasted my money for

Changing my address. I don’t really understand why is so difficult to change my home address. I call progressive to change my home address but, when they answer the call after 30 minutes And you tell them what you want to do progressive employees tell you I will transfer you call to another team. However, you have to wait another 20 minutes finally they answer , and again you tell them the situation after that they tell you ooo we will transfer your call to a different team . And, they transfer you call to 4 different team. So with that been said I would like to know why progressives create a line to call and make this kind of change to make things easier.

6 months’. Well I’ve had my policy for 6 months and things are going pretty good! When I called to get my policy they asked if I wanted to try SNAPSHOT! I said ok and it showed up and it took 30 seconds to install and I 4got about most of the time. I already got a super good deal on my ins I thought I was I getting a deal. Well my 1st bill just came and I pay every 6 months and when I saw my bill I couldn’t believe it, it dropped 88$……..! I’m sold on Progressive you guys are really helping me, Thank You

Useless app. Progressive as an insurance company is okay, nothing special but their app is essentially worthless. Click ‘change billing information’-> takes you to their 800 number, Click ‘manage coverage’-> takes you to their 800 number. What’s the point of the app if all it’s good for is sending you reminders of when your automatic payment is being taken? When apps tend to be kind of useless or seem dated I often wonder if the company is employing anyone under the age of 50. This app definitely seems created by someone older who rarely uses apps and whose tech savvy skills probably peeked around 1997. Word to progressive and your 50+ year old employees, apps are used for much more than reminders typically they have features. Get with the times. My goodness.

Terrible communication. Absolutely terrible communication! I had a policy and was told that everything can be done through the app for any documents I needed to sign or any payments. So I would always watch closely to the app to make sure everything was good, and I was paying just for them to cancel my policy because they supposedly needed to speak to me, but didn’t inform me through the app when they said that everything would be done through the app, when I asked them about this, they said that this is the only thing that they do not inform through the app supposedly and that they tried to email me. But like I said before I was told by them that everything can be done to the app I was never told that I should look out for emails for anything. Do not get insurance with progressive

I caused an accident, and there was understanding and fast service. It’s been decades since I caused an accident. I treated a busy four lane city intersection as a four way stop, while visiting in Chattanooga; it wasn’t, unbelievably. Never seen such an intersection. There should be a light there. But, I failed to yield the right of way, and caused an accident. Progressive paid fast, and was supportive. I will be a loyal customer, as will my family. Hopefully, Chattanooga will add a light at that intersection. The road is called Lookout Street, no kidding.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do future You a favour and spend a little more for a policy from another company. If you’re here because you’re looking for the most “affordable” rate, you’ll regret it as soon as you have to use the insurance. I haven’t heard from my adjuster for a claim in MONTHS. Not a single word. And the times I have spoken to her….we’ll customer service isn’t her strong suit. Was shown via this app that I was paid for a certain month, when really they didn’t actually pull it from my account until the next month. Thus doubling the amount (unexpectedly). If, like myself, you’re A Poor, you’ll know just how detrimental unexpected large amounts coming out of your account can be. This has been the absolute worst experience I’ve had with an insurance company. As for their “affordable” rates….I found full coverage from a more established company for only $10 more per month than what Progressive offered me liability only for. You get what you pay for. Lesson learned.

Easy Peary. I have found this application to be extremely easy to use and make payments. Very user friendly and someone is always available to help. A breath of fresh air after using another Insurer for over 25 years where everything is so difficult to accomplish that I always ended up having to call during business hours to get any assistance. I have found Progressive to be a great company to work l, a great Insurance provider and the app gets five stars.

Love this app and company!. I haven’t been with progressive even a full six months and my car was totaled by hurricane Michael. A majority of it could be fixed by family friends so we thought it couldn’t be that bad. Turns out it was just that bad... so I make a claim and call progressive with questions and every time I’ve talked to someone they’ve been so nice and caring. I’ll be sticking with progressive until something changes. Most things I need answered could be answered through the app, but what couldn’t I had the numbers to call right away!

In love with wallet feature 😍. I love that you can finally add your insurance card to your wallet! Now it’s super quick and easy to retrieve plus it’s aesthetically pleasing unlike the ID card on the progressive app. For those that say that they can’t view their drivers/VIN numbers, you just have to tap on the little white dots at the top of your insurance card to view the additional information. It would be nice if the drivers would all be listed in the front or if you could customize your wallet card for your needs such as how many drivers/vehicles you want listed on the front but this is a great start! Good job app developers 👏🏽

App that provides ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. If only ZERO STARS was an option! Is it even real or is it a SCAM-app designed to get you to download it so it can access all your personal info behind the scenes? I’m not sure yet what the motive is behind developing an app that pretends to offer its customers access to their policy docs, ID cards, etc. but you cannot access anything whatsoever that the description says. Not even a simple image of your ID cards. It’s the most ignorant and frustrating app I’ve ever come across. It leads me to wonder if it isn’t accessing information about me behind the scenes because although it has a simple menu of links that pretend to take you to your policy information, it takes you nowhere. Even when it opens the browser, you get nowhere. It provides NOTHING about your relationship with Progressive.

Painless…almost. I hate having to add an app to my phone for every store and service I use. But this app stays out of the way until every six months when it allows you to accept a renewal using your saved (optional) credit card. At least they still let you use a credit card. AT&T and T-Mobile are charging a fee now, and so is my family auto policy. The only downside is when the bill comes at the end of the month!

Great rates, great company!!. I have been with Progressive for years and they are great! Customer service is friendly, helpful and patient. Thank you Progressive for your help when I was shaken after an accident. The customer service person was very nice and made me feel much better. I had not had an accident in years and it upset me. App is pointless.. So I was signing up for a new “gig app” and it said I need proof of insurance”. So I go to their website and I was trying to get the basic card that says I’m covered. But the only thing their website gives me is a fully detailed page of every detail of my insurance. So I finally said okay I’ll download their app. So I download this app, log in, and click on get id card. I said “yes!! it gives me the option, unlike their website”. And then after clicking that link, it REDIRECTS ME TO THE WEBSITE and makes me LOGIN AGAIN. ummmmm. The app is just a link to their website? Waste of programming. And I still cannot figure out how to get a basic card that states I’m covered by them. Ugh. I’m glad it’s not for an emergency situation or I would have been screwed. Deleting this waste of an app now. :)

Safe driver function inaccurately reporting. Safe driver function incorrectly throws up flags for events that cause rates to go up. It will say you’re on your phone at times when the phone is not in use whatsoever, same thing with hard stops and unsafe accelerations. Very buggy and of course they’re incentivized to keep these bugs because they’ll use this inaccurate data to raise your rates. 2/5 stars because the app itself functions just as good as the website but for many people the app is just there to obtain the safe driver discount which as of now does not function correctly (which I again I don’t see them fixing any time soon because they get more money by allowing these false reports)

Customer service and snapshot. Every three months I received a bill. (Please note my bill was paid in full from the initial start date. ) Every time I called I would get many different reasons why the I had the bill amount. There was never a consistent reason. The snapshot program never worked and a representative told me when I called to inquire about the bill that it was my responsibility to check everyday to make sure that I am in the program. The information on the app was never accurate. While riding as a passenger, it was reading the speed of the driver, how much I was on my phone, and their driving activity. There is no way to turn if off when you are not the actual driver.

Karen schrader. I had progressive for 4 years full coverage on my car every year increasing my rate added mv beater motorcycle recently an ended up having an accident this company is requiring me to give them bank records phone records to mv phone as well as someone else's phone I provided the information an now karen Schrader is calling an asking extremely personal questions to my friends an family extremely unprofessional even when I provided proof the bike was in good condition just days before the accident she’s actively called me a liar and told my family that I’m lien but she couldn’t provide a single bit of proof that I was literally living up to that Karen name. So Glad I switched my car insurance before I had a accident in something that's actuallv worth anything progressive will never see another cent from me.

Progressive. I love progressive Car Insurance app. It’s sooo easy to use, keeps me up to date with car maintenance, automatically notifies me of any recalls, helps find nearest dealerships and phone numbers to schedule appointments. Progressive App offer all this and with (literally) a click of a button. There are no difficult instructions to follow, just “click “ and read. Everything is plain to read; simple to understand. It’s like going to the mechanic on your phone. This app provides the same info that you would get from your mechanic. All in a “click”.

Scam. Biggest scam company DO NOT GET INSURANCE FROM THEM! I’ve had insurance for more than 5 years and I got a quote from progressive thinking “this is a pretty good deal for all coverage I’m getting” I finish my quote and start my insurance with them. I get an email saying my quote starts a certain date and I did not get a single other email from them besides that. Without me knowing they canceled my insurance and refunded my money to my bank (I haven’t had a claim or accident in over 5 years) I don’t have insurance anymore so I call them and ask them why they did that just so they could answer the phone and tell me they can’t do anything about it and I’m stuck having to pay extremely high rates on my insurance because PROGRESSIVE IS A SCAM DO NOT GET INSURANCE FROM THEM!
