Subnautica Comments & Reviews 2026
Keeps freezing when it auto saves.. I love this gave. It’s so much like the real Subnautica, but unfortunately it keeps autosaving when I click the menu button and then freezes during the saving. So I have no choice but to force shut down the app, which trashes all my progress every single time. Making playing extremely difficult, unless I can remember to save every few minutes. Please fix this issue soon. *update* The same auto save bug now happens when I try to open the PDA after about 10-15 minutes of not having opened it. This bug does not happen when I save manually. Please enable an option to turn auto save off.
Perpetual saving!!. Subnautica is a game that merits playing anywhere you can play the game. It is an incredible experience and worth buying, especially for just 10 dollars. I’m giving it a lower rating for the same reason that other users are: infinite save screens plague the game like no other. I can’t figure whether it’s a memory issue or something the game is getting hitched on that prevents it from moving forward, but it is not easy to play in its current state. Anytime you collect a blueprint, pass a story event, scan a lifeform, collect a large amount of items, then open your PDA, the game tries to autosave and cannot get past that screen. I’d hold off buying until this gets fixed .
Great game, but….. This game is awesome it runs smoothly the only problem is that whenever you click the pda thing, it freezes and you can’t go out of it, concluding on you having to restart your progress, it happens when overall trying to save the game, it gets stuck on the saving text, and you can’t go out of it. But one more thing… developers please see this, I don’t know if it’s Krafton or the devs replying and reading these reviews, but Krafton… FREAKING PAY THE DEVS THE 250 MILLION BONUS, it’s the most greedy thing your doing right now and very pathetic, let them release the game.
My Controller's confused but I'm having a blast. I've loved the game on PC and this is a great way to dive in on the go! However, while I know that this mobile version does support my Backbone controller, the Backbone app refuses to acknowledge that it's working and insists that I write a review to "...request controller support". I understand you have worked hard and created a great mobile port of an amazing game, but I'm not sure how to fix the issue with the app recognizing that the controller is already working fine.
I LOVE SUBNAUTICA. So I have decided this is one of the best games I have ever played it’s SOOOOOO FUN I LOVE IT and it works on my iPad because I’m playing on an iPad mini gen and it’s listed as unsupported but it works it’s just bad graphics (except for the water even with bad graphics it looks AMAZING it’s the best water I have ever seen in a game) but there is one problem when I get to the alien structure on the island the one that is big it kicks me out I don’t expect you to fix it because you guys say my iPad is unsupported in the description just mentioning it and I hope one day I can get it on my laptop or download it back when I get a new iPad (btw I have had this iPad since I was 6 or 7 no pun intended and now I’m 11 so it’s pretty old but it works) also I really really like the mechanics and driving the cyclops and sea moth I think that is what it was called I kinda forgot and one more thing I really like the story I haven’t completed the game yet and I don’t think I can because of that bug where it kicks me out but I have watched walk throughs and I like playing in creative so yeah that’s my review on your game I hope one day I can finish the game on my laptop with amazing graphics😄 bye i can’t wait for Subnautica two to come out
Excited For More Ways To Play!. My 10 yr old son has been playing the console version of Subnautica for almost a year. We are glad that he can take his tablet around instead of a big bag with his gaming device. He enjoys the game by searching, building, and more. It’s not a particularly violent game and does seem to encourage things like critical thinking, exploration of the world, etc. I would highly recommend if you have an older child who loves ocean, science, or syfy. For adults: It is a great game. Several members of our family play. There are various modes to play and different zones to explore. I played on creative mode on the mobile app before writing the review since I’m still new to the game itself. The interface works pretty smooth. Graphics on iPhone 14 Pro Max are very nice! I plan to check with more of our devices as I know one is on the Low Resolution list.
Pretty good on iPhone 12. I am an original PC player and love Subnautica and Below Zero. I’ve got about 10 hours in the mobile version on my iPhone 12. The iPhone 12 is on the bottom of the compatibility list, and medium quality is the highest option for me. Pop in is a big issue, literally islands and whole biomes are invisible until you get close. I’m not happy about that, but the rest of the gameplay is excellent and smooth. Personally, I think my phone can handle more than what they’re offering. The phone runs fairly cool on the highest settings that I am allowed to use. The only reason I’m not giving this five stars is because of the terrible pop in issues on the iPhone 12. They’ve done a wonderful job porting this game to mobile. Controls are excellent, and gameplay smooth. Resource availability is lower and I think the biomes are smaller, but this is still a really enjoyable game and comes very close to the original experience.
Impressive mobile port, but not without issues.. The Subnautica mobile port runs amazing on current gen IPads, even the render distance and load-in time for textures isn’t too bad. Unfortunately, the controls however, can be kind of clunky, and a bit buggy. Survival Knife controls are beyond terrible. You will almost never hit anything that isn’t totally stationary with it. Even Cave Crawlers, which have less available directions than ascending, descending, turn-on-a-dime fish are ridiculously hard to hit with the knife. Chief among the issues is that the tiny knife button is controlled by the same hand that controls the camera, so by the time you have your target in your sights, they move out of your camera angles so you have to readjust the camera, rinse repeat ad infinitum. Good luck using the Thermal Blade upgrade! You will never cook a single fish with it, because you have trouble hitting large targets, let alone tiny fish. As for the controls being buggy, the virtual joystick frequently has a bug where it will reset back to center when your finger clearly has it pulled all the way in one direction. This bug can and will get you killed when you’re running away from something. Haven’t gotten far enough to encounter a Leviathan yet, but I can guarantee this WILL be the death of me when I do. Overall, I give this mobile port 4 stars, considering it is a very good port of a very good game. If this control issue and control bug respectively are fixed, I think it would be 5 stars.
The best game on the App Store. This game is amazing I’ve played subnautica once but didn’t finish and my ps4 broke so I had no way to play until this game came I’ve been to the back of Aorua and got every vehicle in the game just surprised that my phone can run this game at 60 fps I’ve been putting hours into this game I barely play anything beside this game also I saw you give people tips in responding I can’t find the prawn suit grappling arm it’s the only one I’m missing
I hope they take it into account. The game is very good although some creatures still get stuck with the walls and others go through them but it's normal since the game barely came out the only thing I didn't like is the graphics section since I can't upload more than the average resolution and my iPhone 11 is not the big deal but it has supported much heavier games and I've played them with high graphics, please add more graphic adjustments
Hello Subnautica Team!. I love Subnautica because I really want to explore the ocean with my own free will, and I have been trying to discover all the leviathans in the game, and almost got to the emperor leviathan, but then the moment I was halfway through the entrance building, it crashed and kept doing it over and over, I think it it my iPad, since it is slightly older then needed to play properly, so if you guys have any suggestions to help fix this, I am all ears, other then that, good job on the game, I can’t wait to play the Subnautica: Below Zero version! 🪼🐠🐟🐬🐳🐋🐋
Considerate Devs. I expected the game to just be a port where the devs slap some buttons on the screen and make it a pain to play like some other games, but with this game I was surprised the longer I played it the more I realized how considerate the devs were to make the game easy to play with touch controls. For example you can pull out your tools pretty fast and if your using a seaglide and your reticle is aiming at something that can be scanned you will have a little icon pop up to pull out your scanner the game will also pause when pulling out your tools very very nifty, also props to removing scanner scan time. Also thank you devs for giving us the option to play the game with max graphics I have a hard time seeing a difference between pc and mobile version and the game runs pretty smooth with occasional stutters but that's because I'm running max graphics I'm sure it will get polished out.
Slight problem…. I just want to say, subnautica is a great game and I enjoy it, but when the game went to auto save, it seems to be stuck. The same issue sometimes pops up if you save manually. I will have to exit the game and get back in and will bring me to my last successful save. This might have to do with the fact that it said my device wasn’t supported, I’m enjoying the game but since it auto saving won’t stop loading, it really is getting me stuck. I have around 30 gigabytes left of storage, so it shouldn’t be a storage issue. All I ask is to fix this glitch, and I can continue my game without having to reset to my last save. More recently, I’ve been experiencing a game crash when I get to close to the alien structure at the sunbeam drop point… I’m hoping I didn’t pay 10 bucks just so that I couldn’t finish the game. Thank you for reading.
Absolute Cinema. I already have 180+ hours on Subnautica on steam, so seeing it come to mobile and run pretty well is incredible. I love that more people can have access to this beautiful game. The amount of effort that the developers put into coding each and every creature to play its own unique part in the 4546B ecosystem gives me a sense of immersion that is unmatched by any other game I’ve played. You truly feel like you don’t belong on this planet, and the cycle of life will continue on with or without you there. The story is terrifying, tear-jerking, and incredibly satisfying. 10/10 game. I would recommend it to literally anyone.
Very Great, Only Minor Issues. I started playing the game one day after it released, And I gotta say, Even with medium graphic and 60 FPS, It rlly good!, The texture, controls, animations, and gameplay was rlly fun!, I enjoyed my progress-making within this game, I’ve reached a month within this game and you did a good job!!, But aside from all that, There are minor problems slithering around :(, 1: My IPhone 13 Pro is only 5 yrs old and I’ve been experiencing frequent game crashes, like whenever I’m swimming in Safe Shallows, or at random times, my game kicks me out, when I autosaves, the game freezes sometimes, I also experienced a infinite loading screen so I lost all my progress, but I restarted and didn’t quit, :3, Overall 9.3/10
I love it but…. I love the game a lot, I always wanted to play it but I couldn’t since I didn’t had a PC or Console to play in, well now that I been playing it I notice several things but I’m not sure if they are bugs or glitches, first issue I had was that I built a scanner room but the actual scanner doesn’t works correctly whenever I try to scan for items it says scanning but it stays like that forever and never actually shows me or tells me anything, second thing I notice is that most of the times a creature tries to attack me even if there’s a wall in between the creature somehow it’s available to clip through the walls which it doesn’t make any since specially the reaper leviathan or other bigger creatures, third thing I also hate is how hot my device can get whenever I try to play for longer than 30 minutes and I know it’s not my device cause I play on an IPhone 16 Pro Max or an iPad Pro M4 why I say this is cause on other mobile games like PUBG or Farlight 84 the issue doesn’t even exist so I believe the game needs to be optimized a lot more, my last one is battery what I mean about battery is that the game drains so much energy from any of my devices I mentioned before is just unbelievable how fast my IPad or IPhone die whenever I play for a couple of hours plus the heat just makes me not want to play it even tho I love the game so much, all I ask is for a update that fixes these issues thank you.
Perfect Port. It’s Subnautica. It’s on mobile. What more do you need? (Seriously, though, they’ve made some really thoughtful QOL improvements to adapt it for mobile, like adding a quick-access button that shows up when you need to scan things, making it pause when you open the PDA, etc. It does a really good job of smoothing out what would’ve otherwise been the roughest edges on mobile, while preserving the full Subnautica experience we know and love).
THIS IS MY DREAM GAME!!. Tysm unknown worlds this is the perfect game for me ive always been waiting for an alien planet game with a building story the more you play i hope you make more games like these, pls add more biomes and i ADORE that you made it on all platforms so i would be able to play and i also love that you made below zero and youre making a subnautica two! You should also add more creatures and leviathans and i also love that you introduced mods for subnautica! You are a gift that keeps goving ty unkown worlds i NEEDED this!!!
Great but nightmare for Prawn operators. I’m thrilled Subnautica made it to mobile platforms. It’s the type of game that makes you wish you can wipe your memory to experience the feeling of playing it for the first time again. It’s a game that’s not only a blast to play but the lore and story are novel-worthy. I’m a console player but figured I’d give it a try on mobile and I’m thoroughly impressed. The touch controls are well-mapped and make sense. My iPhone 14 runs the game really well too. My only gripe so far is that the Prawn suit gets stuck super easily which stinks because there’s a button in the pause menu that will move your character to an unobstructed position if you get stuck. When trying this in my stuck prawn, only my character is teleported (which I guess is what it’s supposed to do but it would be cool if it fixed my stuck vehicles though) and my prawn is left stuck with no way of moving other than destroying it and building a new one. I’ve tried grappling out, restarting my game, even ramming it out with my Seamoth to no avail. I’m on my third prawn now and I’m tired, boss. Word of advice: avoid tight spots with the prawn. Especially low ceilings.
This is a full blown beautiful console experience that fits in your pocket. I’m normally a PC gamer but when I saw this on iOS I had to try it. I never picked it up for PC. WOW. I will now. What an amazing single player adventure experience, especially considering it’s a mobile game. The graphics, the mechanics, the strange places, it’s all excellent really. I’m sure if I tried hard enough I could find something to change, but at the end of the day this is an amazing adventure. I’ve had no issues playing, and no heat issues on an iPhone 17 Pro. I also really like that this game is able to change the field of view to give it a cinematic wide view. It makes soaking it all in so much better. A+
Please fix terrain not loading 🙏. I really love Subnautica and have been playing it for hours on iOS — it’s one of the best survival games ever made. But lately, I’ve been running into a serious problem where the terrain doesn’t load properly. Parts of the ocean floor just disappear or turn into an empty void. It makes my save almost unplayable. I tried all the usual fixes — restarting the app and phone, lowering graphics, freeing up space, and even reinstalling (after backing up my saves). The problem keeps coming back, so it seems like something in the terrain or cell data gets corrupted over time. Please look into fixing this in the next update. The game is amazing otherwise, and it deserves to run smoothly on mobile. A patch for terrain loading and corrupted save issues would make a huge difference for a lot of players. Thank you to the team for bringing Subnautica to iOS — it’s such a great experience when it works right! 🌊💙
Is AMAZING but a few things…. This has been around for a while now. But now that it’s really showing on my mobile world? It’s concerning. The lack of resource respawn. It could be like a setting to toggle or other mechanics like more creatures digging up stuff like limestone. Or the void could be expanded on with a late-game resource solution; Making the void a hotspot for both dangerous creatures like the already present Ghost Leviathans but add lots of resources that respawn. Another way would be deep-ground/sea mining drills. Already a mod for PC but could be nice as a complete feature for the base game Another idea? Maybe an item that makes certain creatures spawn and try to kill you depending on where you are but make it respawn resources! Overall this is an amazing game. I played it on PC awhile ago and recently got it for mobile. I think lots could be done for this. Especially after Subnautica 2 or if people want this updated
Great game.. Subnautica was an absolutely amazing game! I was blown away by the amazing underwater world and the thrill of adventuring through it. The graphics are not bad, and the sense of exploration is wayyyyy off the charts. Its like minecraft but oceanic the way you can build your own bases and craft cool gadgets. The story is so engaging, and it is great to play offline for getting lost in the game for hours. Overall, I recommend it for anyone who enjoys exploration and survival games! 100% worth the money spent.
Subnautica team please read this. I really like the game it’s super fun and the gameplay is great but there is a bug that when I try to save it all gets frozen and the only way to get out of that is to close the game and restart because all that I do is not being saved when I try to go back to my life pod the top of the environment is missing and I can go into the void and when I try to save it all freezes and it makes me restart I hope you guys find a solution to this problem thanks 🥀
A Gem… Play This Game!. I knew nothing about Subnautica other than having heard the name, so I bought this on a whim when it came out. The premise hooked me right away, and the game is now taking over my daily life. The graphics are amazing on my 16 pro max, the gameplay is fun and engaging, and the story is bare bones enough to drive a simple but effective experience. Basically, your space ship crashes on an aquatic world and you have to figure out how to survive in a quickly-expanding and hostile environment. Your lifepod is your home base, but as you explore & inspect the wreckage of your ship you realize things are not what they seem. Escape is the game, and gathering resources and building cooler and cooler machines is the way. Highly recommend this game, I like it so much that I plan on buying a copy on PC or console as soon as it goes on sale.
Auto saving issues. The game is overall great as Subnautica is. But you guys really need to fix the auto saving issue. It’s not even a minor issue as it completely destroys all progress you’ve made. Also sometimes important locations such as crash sites, and Degasi bases sometimes don’t load into the map this is also related to the auto saving issue somehow I don’t really know… but please fix this because it’s frustrating, and does not create a good experience.
Played many times. I got this game a few years ago on my switch, loved it. This mobile version is just as good, great port of the game. I was inspired to write a review after an incident at work last week… idk what happened but not only did our shop loose internet and our system shut down, no one had cell service (regardless of the carrier) for like 12 hours. We couldn’t close because headquarters wanted us there to reopen if everything came back up, but we also couldn’t do anything work related other than to tell people to come back later. Reason for the weird story? I hadn’t opened that app for a month, no WiFi, phone on sos mode, Subnautica booted right up and didn’t crash on me once. Codm takes up 40gigs of memory, but requires internet to open, can’t even single player zombies. NTE is great, but it also takes up 40gigs and requires internet to open. Subnautica is 2.3 gigs, and it’s the entire game.
Loved it on the Switch, Love it on Mobile. I’ve played and beaten this game once before on the switch, and I’ve spent years and years watching YouTubers play this, so when I heard it was coming to mobile I knew immediately I had to get it to see what it was like, especially after recently getting an iPhone 16 plus. They did a fantastic job on this. I was honestly stunned with how good the game looked, and the movement was smooth even with the restrictions of mobile controls. They managed to make sure the UI still isn’t overbearing either and I appreciate that. I also think making it on THIS version where things scan instantly instead of depending by size was a good addition and can help any new players looking to get into the game in a smaller way not get frustrated. Of course you have to keep in mind Subnautica is a VAST game that’s now on phones and tablets, not hearty console wires. Even though it runs smooth at 60fps, if you’re looking to play the game for more than an hour or so your device will definitely build up some heat. I’m not sure if tablets are resistant to it but my phone was starting to get hot, granted I get so immersed in the game I can play for 2+ hrs at a time and have to force myself to stop lol. So yeah. Overall, a phenomenal game that (I personally feel) was flawlessly transitioned into the mobile genre, and I couldn’t recommend it enough for anyone just scrolling the App Store looking for a new game to try. This is easily one of the best experiences in the App Store and I mean that wholeheartedly.
First ever review for Subnautica Mobile. Ive Played this game on multiple devices, and this is actually not bad compared to others. even on low resolution they manage to make the game look beautiful like on pc. Of course, the graphics aren’t as great as Pc, but the game holds up well. my only problem is there’s no option to pause when ur picking ur items and stuff, and how when u scan it’s immediately scanned. it doesn’t take a while. i’m worried that when i try to scan a reaper it will do that as well. taking away the tension that it’ll break away from my stasis rifle. Either way, this games great.
DEVS PLEASE READ!!. Ok so the game is AMAZING because I can play on my phone and it’s cheaper than its console/pc siblings, but this glitch that’s ruining my progress is occurring! When I open my pda sometimes it auto saves, cool! But I’ve gotten stuck on them so I’m gonna turn it off in the settings until you fix it anyway, OUTSTANDING performance! The game runs so smoothly but only barely noticeable texture changes on the terrain. Also noticed that scanning is instant (not telling to remove) it’s kinda an advantage when scanning dangerous creatures up close. Add on to the auto save glitch I do lose my progress when I relaunch sadly. But overall the game is good.
A slight issue. Hello creators of Subnautica I’ve been playing a survival world for like a day and a half and I’ve beaten the game got all the achievements and it’s really fun but one time in creative mode. I got like these commands you know like in Minecraft they were really fun, but the next day they were gone so could you please respond to this review to see if this was a glitch or if this is for like game helpers but then again if you could add them to normal creative world that would be so fun oh and I hear I mean saw that you’re creating a new game, which is below zero all right that’s it
MUST PLAY!. Not only is subnautica itself one of if not the best survival games on the market, this game has been ported fantastically to the mobile space. The controls feel good and don’t take up too much of the screen, it runs fantastically (at least on newer devices, I’m not sure about older ones because I have not tested), And it still looks fantastic. If you have an extra 10$ and 3 gigabytes, this is a must get, especially if you haven’t played it already
10/10 port to mobile. Runs insanely well, looks as good as you can expect for a mobile port, and no crashes in my 20 hours of gameplay. Insane that they were able to bring such an amazing experience to mobile without compromising on the feel or atmosphere of the game, first time getting in my cyclops was as insane as my first time almost 10 years ago on pc, which is crazy because I’m playing on a 5 year old ipad usually at 3 am lol
Amazing, but the PDA is tweaking. I have to get diamonds for the laser cutter, of course, but every time I get diamonds and I open my PDA afterwards it gets stuck on the auto save screen and I have to exit out of the game and go back in to fix it. The only problem is that I’m really forgetful, and every single time I forget to save my game so I still have the diamonds. I’ve been doing the same thing over and over for an hour and a half to get literally five diamonds at the most, because shale outcrops are so hard to find (that I don’t mind at all, it’s the game, and I knew exactly what I signed up for in that department) and I am so forgetful that I don’t remember to save my game. Please fix the PDA, but other than that, I’ve had a great time so far and will keep playing despite the PDA problem.
Subnautica is a amazing game to play. Subnautica is one of the best survival games out there I’ve played, good building mechanics, good gameplay mechanics, and the mobile port brings all the original experience from console and pc subnautica to this amazing Mobile port, You can even play it with a controller if you have one! I’ve been a Subnautica fan for years and I think they did an amazing job with this mobile port, 10 dollars well spent if you want a underwater survival game where you’re in the ocean with alien species and you don’t already have it, it’s worth it! However I wouldn’t recommend buying unless you want to play it on the go because if you already have it on console because switching between the two can feel a bit different. Other than that. This game is worth it and i recommend it for every one if they’re willing to spend the 10 dollars on the game
As amazing as ever!. I pre-ordered this the moment I saw it announced for mobile, by far my favorite game I’ve ever played! This is not just a quick conversion of a large game to mobile, you can really feel the time and effort put into adapting this masterpiece to IPhone. The controls are amazing, the graphics are gorgeous, and it doesn’t even drain my battery too bad or run my phone hot. No glitches encountered so far either. 10/10 would recommend!
Decent Port. The game is finally released! To stat, here are my specs: IPhone 13 Pro, max settings In game. Also note for new players, take your time with this game, it’s a slow but enjoyable burn. The game itself is nothing short of a masterpiece, having played the original pc title, the story, music, and exploration of this game are great. Having grabbed the mobile port, I am glad to say that you will still find all of the exotic and intriguing locations found in the original game. However, I did stumble on some nitpicks. - Lag: It is bound to show in certain areas (such as the aurora and islands) - movement: A little tough if not adjusted. You can move while rotating the camera, but if you are using a tool or a grabbing hook from the prawn suit, it doesn’t not allow camera rotation at this time. Overall, not too bad for first launch impressions! There are still some thing needing fixes such as setting options for graphics, but no other issues found. A fair warning is that the app does make your phone heat up a little bit on Max settings, but not an issue caused DIRECTLY because of Subnautica. As extra, tips for new players from a vet *Gen spoilers, but this game takes a healthy amount to beat: 1. Go to all the pins, once it feels you can’t go to more… 2. Find blueprints needed… 2b. Find the Island (covered in clouds) 3. Explore the aurora once with radiation suit and equipment 4. Listen and read for codes needed to unlock rooms on ship 5. Find the Lost River and deal with the story line connected to it 6. Build the ________ *spoiler* 7. Enjoy!
One of My All-Time Favorite Games Lives Up to the Hype on Mobile. I never write reviews, but I felt I had to. I originally played Subnautica over a decade ago and it persisted as one of my favorite games over that time. So when I saw that they ported it to mobile, I was cautiously optimistic, but still had concerns about the optimization for mobile or the game losing the “scuffed” charm that the original had. I’ve played this version on mobile for two hours and so far I’m stunned how good it is. I’m using an iPhone 15 and my phone has hardly gotten mildly warm and I haven’t noticed dropped frames or stuttering of any kind. So far it still has its charm of not being perfectly polished like the original (the fins appear first when cooking garryfish, you abruptly get out of bases without a transition into water, etc.) while also having the heart and fun mechanics that I loved over ten years ago. Maybe the nostalgia is taking over, but of the games ported from console/PC to mobile that I’ve played, this really does seem like one of the best. Through two hours, I can’t recommend it enough, especially if you’ve never played it before
Great Port / Adaptation. I’ve played the desktop and switch versions of this game and loved it. This is much better than the switch version and pretty close to PC. (Probably hardware limitations on the switch). The team did a great job porting this over to mobile. I love how the fps and graphics are still stellar. (My 15 Pro Max, easily pushed 120 no problem) The screen controls are great for what it is, but I’d still recommend a controller. They’ve made some minor changes to the UI and some functionality of game play to make it easier for mobile players which is much appreciated. (Grabbing fish is more forgiving, scanning is instant, etc.) I’d definitely recommend this to new and seasoned Subnauts. Money well spent. 🙂
Wonderful. Well, I don't have a single complaint, it's wonderful, my phone doesn't heat up no matter how much I've been playing, I love the graphics and everything in general, it's very rare that I like a survival game but this one is incredible and also goes up a lot of points by being in the water, on top of that if you want you don't play in survival and you can simply play it as if it were a simulator I really love this game and I'm very happy that they took it out for phone it's totally worth the price
Absolutely Amazing. I have the iPhone 17 Pro and really don’t play games on it. I’ve played and completed this game on my pc. This game is very special in its own way like Minecraft in my opinion and have to say. It is amazing I can play this open world on mobile and looks good. Maybe because I have a newer end phone but that fact that I can run this in my pocket. Wow. I am running it with high but not abs, preferably high and have it capped on 60 hz. Runs great and not hot at all just very little warm, I think it the vapor chamber working. Again, absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to complete it again! Thank you developers for game a mobile game like this in pc and now mobile.
Outstanding Performance. I was really worried at first about how the graphics and performance was gonna be. Honestly my expectations have been completely exceeded. 60 FPS runs so unbelievable smooth, game looks and runs amazing. I’ve been playing Subnautica ever since it was released on Xbox when the game had consistent lag every second and was an unfinished product. From that release to this release really goes to show how very they’ve come. 11/10. Would absolutely love to see Below Zero on here someday.
What I was expecting, few changes should be made though. I’m really impressed they took the 20 gb game and made it 2 gb, it definitely does not impact game play (so far). It’s exactly what I was expecting, and exactly what I want. As for the changes I’d like to see made, in the base game it’s very easy to craft items over and over by just clicking the craft button the second they are done being made, but on this version you need to click the item THEN the craft button every time. (Very very small annoyance, but very very easy to implement) Another thing is swapping items between containers takes too long, as you need to click on each item and click store every time, unlike the base game where you can spam the switch container button. A fix for this could be a “swap mode” button when in a container, that when this button is toggled, every item you press will instantly be switched to the other container. In summary, great mobile game, but small quality of life changes can be added.
Things I want to see improved. 🌟 4-Star Review for Subnautica Mobile (Suggested Text): I was really surprised (in a good way) to see Subnautica come to mobile. The fact that this is the full version with no major cuts is awesome, and I was even more surprised to see that the inventory UI looks almost exactly like the PC and console versions. That level of polish really impressed me. That said, there are two major features I’d love to see in a future update: 1. Hotbar Option (like Minecraft or ARK Mobile): Right now, the inventory wheel on the left side is kind of confusing, especially for mobile players who are more used to hotbars at the bottom of the screen. I was shocked (in a good way) when I connected my Xbox controller and saw the console-style hotbar appear. I’d love to see that hotbar UI as an optional layout for touchscreen players too — with tap-to-select bubbles and easy swapping like in Minecraft. It would feel much more natural on phones and tablets. 2. Accessibility Options: As someone who is half-blind, I’d really appreciate accessibility tools like screen reader support or a built-in voiceover mode to read out menus and inventory items. Minecraft does this pretty well, and having similar options in Subnautica would open the game up to more players like me who love this genre but need some visual support. Overall, I’m really enjoying the game so far and happy with the mobile experience. These two changes — a hotbar UI option and some accessibility tools — would easily turn this into a perfect 5-star game in my book. Great work so far! VoiceOver
PEAK🔥. About 10 minutes after the game was released (on mobile) I am writing this. Subnautica holds a special place in my heart, and being able to play this on the go is amazing. The UI is good, not too much on your screen but also not little. The soundtracks are always fire. It does a good job with the tutorial, saying things like “eat food” and “tap to unequip” or something like that. The way the hotbar is set up is pretty clever. It’s a little button, which opens to 5 slots that you can chose from, while the game is paused. Still has the subnautica feeling (ifykyk). Absolute peak, would recommend if you haven’t played it, 5 stars. (Can’t wait for subnautica 2!)
Great just a certain bug that makes me just not want to play.. Great almost 1to1 if not exactly that. Looks good honestly kinda crazy. Just one thing when I’m in the cyclops it looks like the sun rays go straight thru my cyclops. I play on high everything not sure why this started to happen. When I turn the lights off it’s just horrible it almost looks like there’s water in the sub. Can email the pic of what that looks like. Other than that 10/10
Overall a good game just wish it didn’t freeze every time I save. I was so happy to see Subnautica on mobile as my old PlayStation broke so I had to buy it and I was a little worried it wouldn’t run good but it runs surprisingly smooth and the graphics for a mobile game our pretty good the only problem I came into was when I went to save the game would freeze on the loading screen which is hard to play with considering the fact after I unlock a blueprint I want to save pls fix this issue
Awesome game!. I’ve always wanted to play this game on PC but I don’t have a PC powerful enough to run it. When I discovered this game now was available for mobile devices I was extremely happy because I now can play the game on my iPhone 17 pro max and I have had no issues with performance or any other issues. I really love this game and I play it almost every day! I hope that eventually this games sequel Subnautica below zero will get a mobile version one day. The developers did an awesome job at creating this mobile version of Subnautica and I hope they continue to make Subnautica an awesome game for everyone to play!
Great game. Mobile port needs some fixes. I have played Subnautica for a while and always loved the game. So as a mobile gamer the fact it now has a port is awesome and I have been hooked! I do have a few things to report on for fixing. I wish when using the fabricator you could exit and move while something is crafting especially for more complex materials that take more time. I have this bug that tends to make me ascend randomly (I fix it by pausing but still). Also MAJOR TWEAK can you make a feature so the prawn suit arms require a tap to start and tap to cancel instead of holding? (Helps for grapple arm and other arms). Thank you for all the hard work this game and mobile port is a blast!
Fantastic. (Update!!! All this is true but devs please allow us to look around while using items it’s annoying trying to use a fire extinguisher then having to move with the joystick cause I can’t look around)If your looking for a good single player game on iOS look no further the Game looks and runs amazing although there is a bit of pop in but nothing game breaking yet I will have to see when I get to later in the game doesn’t make my phone overheat at all surprisingly last time I played this game was on Xbox capped at 30 fps seeing run on my phone way better than the Xbox one ever could is blowing my mind highly recommend my only complaint is that when your on an island there is absolutely no shadows what so ever it’s not a deal breaker but it just looks very strange

Favourite Game. This game is the best game I have ever played. I love the large amount of exploration the game offers while making me terrified that a monster will appear from unknown and devour me. My only issue I have experienced was when I was exploring the Mountain Island underwater cave and a Reaper was somehow in the walls trying to eat me. Now I’m terrified to ever go back
This game is fun but can’t progress. Whenever i try to go to the alien control tower and the Aurora, my game crashes. What do I do bc I can’t progress at all!
Amazing. Amazing, a huge shift in what is possible for mobile gaming
Subnautica below zero coming out on iPhone. Please bring Subnautica below zero on iPhone. I really want to try it out. It would be so fun.
Amazing game, but crashes when I try to use cheats.. I have had some success, I wish I could tell a certain reviewer that those things aren’t supposed to happen anyway. Great game, but crashes in the mobile version even when I press the top left and right corners to get to the cheat menu, after I press the top left and right corners, even when I try to save the game just freezes and I have to reopen the app. Good game so I would give 5 stars, -2 stars just for freezing.
Fun Adventure. It’s finally here!
Needs below 0. I like the game but it just doesn’t feel right… please add below zero to mobile!
I really love it really great development ❤️. Thank you for this game it is really good development 120 fps stable that really great really worth it i love it ❤️ but I hope in next update you let us customize the controller touch screen for better experience ❤️
Bug when saving. I think this is amazing, graphics are great and the gameplay has been awesome so far. Even though it was great, there is a bug whenever I try to save after not saving for a while. This bug pauses the screen on the saving menu and doesn’t go back, resulting in me having to reload at my last save. It hasn’t been too bad so far but I have lost quite a bit from it and had to restart some things.
Why do you have to pay?. So what’s $13 because you have to pay it monthly? 🧐
It is gooood but. Not supper supper spupper fun
Amazing experience. Guys genuinely amazing feat for mobile games!!Finally got to play subnautica and I couldn’t be happier. Amazing game overall,i mean I don’t need to say much on this, for obvious reasons(This is subnautica we’re talking about). The team working on it addresses problems quick and efficiently. Thankyou for bringing this to mobile!!!!!! (Any chance of getting subnautica 2 ??? )
Great mobile port. Runs smooth on my IPhone 15, constant 60 fps at max graphics settings. Controls are easy and intuitive. Looks incredible for a mobile game.
The audio stopped functioning. On startup the music kicks in for a bit and then gets cut off. After that there is no audio
I love this game, but. I love this game so much, but my rocket ship is not working
Gameplay & add controller support. So far just played a few minutes of it & it’s good just like on console. Even using a controller seems to run smoothly but would like to know if it’s supported or can be added. But either way I’ll definitely be playing in my spare time
Good game but. I don’t know where the cheats menu is and I would like it to be added to creative. thank you.
Hoverfish. I NEED MORE GRAPHICS FOR MY HOVERFISH
Runs like a dream, but…. (Updated review). Update: I’m now getting these fizzling stutters about every 10 -15 seconds, it last about a second like a little glitch and lags the game / crackles the audio. Can this please be investigated. . . This game runs fantastic on the m4 1Tb iPad Pro. And, it has controller support. It looks gorgeous and so far z very few bugs. The only ones I’ve come across are controller related such as the controller not allowing you to delete placed build items or navigate the colour wheel. I will say I hope they later add an option for improved render distances or LODs on higher spec devices. The biggest part of this game is navigating and it’s quite hard to see or locate things at even a small distance. I do hope this is improved, but other than that. Amazing port. GET THIS GAME!
By Caleb Fabillo. BEST GAME EVER I PLAYED THIS WAS MY DREAM TO PLAY PC GAMES BUT IT WAS LIKELY ON MOBILE PORT TOO, THANKS ALOT DEVELOPERS!
As good as it gets.. This is the full Subnautica. Nothing has been cut. The controls are good. It has cloud saves. It runs well on even the base systems (albeit at low res). Get it.
Disappearing Cheats Menu?. So when I entered my creative mode save, when I opened the pause menu, on the bottom left of the blue pause menu section, was two things, ‘Dev’ and ‘>_’. It allows me to do coding and give me things instantly but doesn’t work in survival. I think it’s the Cheats Menu. However, when I left the game and re-opened the pause menu to look for the cheats menu, it was gone, like nothing happened. Huh? Is this a bug? And also, please fix the teleporting function of the Cheats Menu, as I can’t teleport to places in a vehicle. My vehicle got bugged, and stuck in terrain. Please assess, and bring back the cheats menu!
Anything but subnautica 2 💀. Anything but subnautica 2
Really good, just one issue…. So I’m 25 mins into my save and I can’t save it any longer. Autosave doesn’t work and normal save doesn’t work. Whenever I try it just doesn’t stop loading so I have to exit the app. Otherwise, really good game! I beat it with all 17 achievements on PS5 and hope to do the same once this issue is resolved!
No high graphics on ipad air 4. I want to play high graphics 60fps on ipad air 4 and i believe it can run it well but ipad air 4 only has up to medium graphics so please add high graphics with 60fps
I can’t save the game. Game is great perfect performance and graphics just when I try save it gets stuck on the save screen please fix this as soon as possible I really really wanna play subnautica.
Can you pls sort out the autosave function. So frustrating when the autosave doesn’t complete. Have no choice but to exit the game and lose progress. Super annoying when you have just scanned the last piece of blueprints and rush back to the fabricator to make the device and opening the locker forces an autosave and you lose your blue prints
Amazing. Of course this game is amazing, but this port adds so much quality of life that I wish was in the console versions. Still an 11/10 game
Multiplayer please. Multiplayer would really fun and less scary with friends.
Great Game. Got So Excited When I Saw It And Preordered It Straight Away. I’ve watched so many gameplay videos of this game and now I finally have it in my hands. So glad it’s finally come to mobile. I’ve been waiting so eagerly for the release date and now that’s it’s here I’ve been playing this game nonstop since the release date. Thank you Unknown Worlds for porting it to mobile. Now I can join the many gamers playing this game. Now I’m going to dive right back in again. (Pun intended)
Few quirks. When trying to play offline the front screen stays black but the music plays, also the sound sometimes goes choppy till I reset it. Apart from that it’s an amazing port!
WTF. When I look up in the cyclops and I’m halfway underwater and above the water is completely black for the sky completely no stars or nothing
Make it really really low. Can you make the graphics more lower please, it would be great. And try your best to make it more low quality, so I don’t crash as much. But I got rid of it and down loaded it 13th of September. And no crash but when I got the Sandshark egg it crash and I had my settings really low like the quality and texture too, it works well kinda, and I need it a bit lower. Please? 🙏
saving issues - manual as well as auto. i’ve spent an entire hour trying to get through 10 minutes of gameplay on a new save. As soon as the first autosave hits, i’m locked out and I have to force quit. The progress is saved up to 9 minutes, so I try again. Turned off auto save as instructed. Got one manual save done at that backup save point. 2 minutes further in I try to take a few supplies back to the ship, manual save locks me out too. I previously deleted the app right after i bought it due to the same errors. It sucks because i LOVE this game so much and i want to play it so badly, but unfortunately i am not able to. (ipad pro 11in 2nd or 3rd gen, probably not on the latest software update to be fair)
Annoying death. Same as voidstar once a reaper went through a cave and found me so annoying that they get a advantage to get you

subnautica. subnautica need i say more.
My favourite game now on mobile?. Probably not the best medium to play the game for the first time but hey! Its Subnautica on my mobile and it runs pretty good so that's great!
Keep Getting Kicked Out. I love this game so much but it keeps randomly crashing and completely closing the app on me during game play. It’s getting really frustrating
Please fix this. It is a fun game but I won’t let you place the modification thing 9/10 just please fix this and the render distance
The games nice. Even tho i havent played it yet ive seen it on youtube and i love it
OwO. Amazing game perfect story! and and also l didn’t expect this game to be for kids despite being a horror game and I played this game on ps4. but I am SO happy I can play this game for only 3 $13 on MOBILE and that was a deal I could not miss.
pls add more compatability. the quarentine enforcement platform keeps crashing my phone, and now my save is so close to it that it essentially banned my save file. my phone is incompatible, probably the awnser to why, and I have no way of getting a new one. having this on mobile is something i've been waiting for and wanting so long.. please consider adding compatibility for more iphone types and other devices like Ipads, this was extremely painful for me to find out.. I will still leave it at 5 stars. I love this game and it deserves nothing less, even if this happened to me. i will put unlikely possibilities in brackets (if it helps, I didn't end up getting the achievement for the QEP, so it MIGHT be a problem with gaining achievements. I did end up getting 4 other achievements however so that might not be it, creative mode also crashed) due to my long term obsession over this video game i also managed to fugure out the mountains biome is the way the game registers the player having stage 1 kharaa, so it might also be a problem with the kharaa virus. I am still testing more stuff so the review might change. even if testing this is for nothing, even if its not going to be updated for other devices, I at least want to help and do what i can. --------------------------------------------- I have tried: 1 -every combination of the graphics settings available. in case it's different for each mobile device, the options available were: Resolution and fps cap. nothing else was available in the graphics settings. crashed every time 2 -going to the QEP in creative to see if it was a survival mode exclusive problem. it still crashed
Amazing game. Immediately purchased this when it was available on the App Store. So many hours spent on my PC, and still so much replay-ability now on mobile. And a big thank you to the developers for collecting no data, thank you for not hoovering my personal information. I hope this port over is a major success for you.
One of the best mobile games ever. I saw Jacksepticeye’s play though of this game years ago but never actually played the game myself. I downloaded the game July 9th around 10 pm stayed up all night playing. Slept all day on July 10th woke up played all night again. Woke up July 11th at like 7pm and played until about 2am when I finally launched the escape rocket. Spent over 20 hours playing in three days. 9.9/10 would mess up my sleep schedule again. The only problems I have with the game is that you can’t customize button locations and there is no gyroscopic option. The buttons are fine where they’re at most of the time. The only times it matters is when you’re in the prawn suit. It is almost impossible to look around and press the jump and grappling arm buttons at the same time. The only way I was able to do all three was by maxing out the button size, using my thumb to grapple, index to look around, and middle to jump. If I could move the buttons I could use my thumb to look around and my index and middle to hit the jump and grapple. You don’t need to be to do all three to complete the game it just makes it easier to get around. Adding a Gyroscopic option would also make it possible to look around and hit buttons in a similar way. It would also add immersion. it would be so cool so to control your cyclops or sea glide by moving your device.
one of the best solo survival games. This game is literally art in itself would play again 10/10
great game. love the franchise, beat the game on pc and xbox multiple times so had to try mobile, runs fantastic for such a beautiful game! def worth the money
Good but mobile needs mods. This game is INSANE butttttt it needs mods for mobile you hear me?
Great game. This is one of my favourite games of all time but there’s a save bug that just freezes the game
Some Minor Bugs. The game as of July 10th 2022 contains many minor bugs, however all of the bugs I’ve come across are fixable by leaving and rejoining. Other than that, controls are good, optimized well, exactly like the original!
Attention danger d’addiction !. Jeu fantastique. On est littéralement plongé dans un univers dont il est difficile de sortir. C’est le seul jeu qui me scotche devant ma tablette pendant plusieurs heures sans discontinuer ! Merci aux développeurs pour ce portage mobile.
Review:. Quite frankly subnautica but makes it more playable on mobile (My phone is on fire)
Seamoth bug, otherwise amazing. Great port, best mobile game I have right now, only problem is that my seamoth sometimes gets stuck moving up or down and I cannot stop it, very annoying and game breaking. Other than that it is an amazing port and the best mobile game I’ve played (can’t believe it runs on a phone, good on the devs for the optimization!!)
Thank you. Thank you god for making Subnautica on mobile thank you for hiding a ion cube in the cave of the sea emperors cage
A really good port. The full Subnautica experience on a passively cooled device, with decent graphics, smooth framerate, and seamless controller support? What sorcery is this?
Fun game. They game is fun but it’s extremely annoying when I pull out my inventory it auto-saves by-itself and then I get stuck there forever, I have lost multiple hours of gameplay and progression
Great but issues with saving. Fun and runs very well besides saving+autosaving. Game freezes a lot while saving or when autosave happens
God bless you. Just how do you do it? ^-^
Amazing game, amazing mobile port. I’ve been a fan of this game for a long time, and they did a great job bringing it to iPhone.
Amazing game and works awesome on the phone.. Great great job they did porting this to the phone. Controls are amazing, the gameplay is amazing, one of the best games on the phone period
10/10. Проходил впервые, впечатления вау!
Graphics. Very good game but needs graphics
Great mobile port, but as buggy as the main game. Here’s a list of issues I ran into and would like to see resolved. Sorted from most game-breaking to least: Major - You periodically get stuck while saving (or auto-saving) and lose all your progress since last time you saved manually (auto-saves don’t seem to register when this happens) - The knife doesn’t have enough reach to get seeds from planter boxes 90% of the time, making farming near impossible unless you do it in a really annoyingly specific way - External lightning (in my case kelp grown in an exterior grow-bed) phases through base walls - There’s a wreck in one of the kelp forests that, once interacted with, guarantees the next save will not work Minor - Some modules will appear darker than they should be upon construction and require that they be destroyed and rebuilt to fix the lighting issue - The base building is wonky, you can’t add onto existing modules while something else is in the process of being built inside/on said module - The scanner doesn’t use meaningful amounts of battery, mine is still using the same one it came with even after scanning over a hundred thingies (possibly an issue with the fact it scans instantaneously but retained the original game’s duration based battery usage) - Openable doors in wreckages will be closed again upon returning to a save after logging off - Birds fly into the quarantine platform island instead of navigating around it - Captions for specific voice lines appear upon logging on (new depth cap announcement upon adding a module, power offline/online in quick succession, etc.), the lights also go out in the base and the moon-pool loops the animation of it grabbing a vehicle
Overcharged. Said it was $12.99, got billed for $46.16… scab
This game is absolutely incredible, and now it’s on mobile!. I highly recommend this game to anyone into survival games. The graphics for a mobile game are very impressive for the limitations imposed on it, and I guarantee you will have a good time!
Audio. the game is fun and all, but every time i open the app the audio cuts out and i have to disconnect my airpods(i do not have a headset) most of the time, then reconnect. the same thing also happens when i dive into the ocean. it is a little annoying but the game doesn’t crash, might be a bit jaggy at times, but it’s only cause i’m playing on an iphone 11. i’d still recommend the game though! overall 7.3/10. my god the way i write is just
Amazing!. My favourite game in my pocket!? Yes please! The iOS interface is great. Runs smooth do far on my iPhone 15! Buy this game - you won’t regret it 😎
Save issues. Hello, the game is very well done for being transferred to mobile, tho on my survival world, the save/ auto save is broken, I’ll go to save and it will get stuck on the “please wait” screen, and if it auto saves it does the same issue. If there is a reason for this I’m unaware of, please let me know as it’s the first I’ve been able to play the game in many years.
so nut. very bust
Runs smooth. Runs really good on my 14
Amazing game. Everything you looking for in a game it is in this one. Open world, survival, crafting, creatures to take care, hunting. It is all in this game
Support real games. Finally, an actual video game that doesn’t involve live services, battle passes and other micro transactions. A mobile game you can beat without being nickelled and dimed. Support this so other devs make more real video games.
Minor bugs. It’s a really great game, but it has some minor bugs (the map won’t charge fast enough, I can go under the map). Besides that, one of the best game I’ve ever seen!!!
Subnatica dookie fever. Can’t wait to dookie everywhere on the airplane it’s great 👍
Subnautica. The best mobile game I’ve played ever.
please. this is a very very good game however there are some big saving issues, if the devs fix it, it’s a five star, if they don’t, the game is borderline unplayable... good luck to the dev team!
Below zero when?. One of the best survival games of all time cant wait for the subnautica 2
Please fix the save on mobile. everytime I try and save it doesn’t work even when my area looks loaded it still doesn’t work I am stuck on the save screen
Amaze amaze amaze. Best port I’ve seen so far for mobile gaming, played it on PC and XBOX, love the game. Surprisingly, the game is smooth and runs great on my iPhone 16, the graphics are great and the phone doesn’t come hot. Playing on a X5 lite controller. Good work devs
Increibleee!!. Es el mejor, solo agreguen compatibilidad

ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY PEAK. Subnautica like many other games you can explore but three things are unique about Subnautica.1 the map is very wide and sometimes spooky and has creatures of many kinds.2 the reaper leviathan is a scary big sea monster that you can go on a scavenger hunt on!(good luck surviving in survival). Last it has its own storyline so I 100% recommend it have a great day!
Why my sound bugging. This is one of the best mobile games out there but sometimes the sound goes completely mute like I try resetting the game or my phone but it’s still muted my settings are all the way up in audio and the way I found to fix it is to wait which I don’t want to do because I want the full audio experience please fix it cause I won’t be able to hear the reapers
Just as good as console/pc versions. Amazing port to mobile, the performance is incredible. Playing on an iphone 15, and the battery hardly drains, and the phone isn’t heating up in the slightest. Older models can surely play if connected to and outlet and some kind of fan is available to use in case of overheating. THIS IS THE FULL EXPERIENCE!!! The gameplay is no different, well done.
Epic. Subnautica on mobile alone is such an epic idea, and it genuinely plays better than on the switch 1 and 2, depending on your phone of course but it runs beautifully, and the controls are genuinely intuitive unlike other low effort ports, great job by playdigious. Definitely worth it as it’s one of the only mobile games that genuinely finally makes me feel like mobile gaming can one day reach console or pc level.
Amazing port of an amazing game, sound issues. Game is amazing, played both Subnautica games on PC, going back for a mobile playthrough. The game runs pretty smooth, looks as beautiful as always, and controls are intuitive and well crafted for a mobile port. Only real issue is crackling sound, seems to happen frequently and the only solve is to restart the game (persists after exiting to menu as well). Shouldn’t be too much lag on an iPhone 17 running the A18 chip w/ 8gb ram.
Excellent Port. This is excellent. I’ve played with a controller while casting to my TV and it feels like you are playing on a console. I have also played with the touch controls and found them to be easy to use as well. I have managed to sink countless hours into this and believe it’s well worth the cost. Update: I purchased Below Zero during a Switch sale and I’m hooked. I really hope Below Zero is ported to iOS.
Not eligible for refund. Tried it, didn’t like it. Thought Subnautica would be fun on mobile, but the experience just didn’t click. Controls felt off, the UI wasn’t intuitive, and it just wasn’t enjoyable. Only played for a short time before realizing it wasn’t for me. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t allow refunds in cases like this, so now I’m stuck with something I’ll never use. Wish there was a better policy for digital purchases like this. For now, you eat the bad review, hoping this brings awareness to others before they commit to purchasing something here.
Good, I got a bug for you. I play on a iPad 8th Gen, So I play downgraded, so I have some bugs, 1. when I go to the Primary Containment Facility, it Kicks me off. 2. Sometimes, when I open my PDA, It Just Autosaves SUPER LONG, It feels infinite. 3. Sometimes when I use the fabricator, instead of building the item normally, it just goes on building it forever, no sign of being close to finished. Without those main three bugs, it will work beautifully.
Fun butttt….. Great and fun but it doesn’t run well on my device and whenever I follow a tutorial to go to a wreckage to find blueprints and stuff I overshoot, which means you miss the area. And I once ended up in the mushroom forest and I didn’t mean to go there, can’t see 10 feet in front of me. Graphics are trash because I have a ipad gen 10 so I might refund, it won’t run well on my iPad so if I ever wanna get the game I’ll get it on a better device/console/pc.
Amazing!. Amazing game! I hate that I’m not allowed to use higher graphics on my device. I hate it when you don’t have full freedom of what your game looks and feels like. But the game runs really well never crashes or lags and is just amazing! However I would love for the game to be compatible for mods for multiplayer etc. but I love the game a ton! Good luck with subnautica 2
Exceptional port. Most games that receive the iOS port treatment are very clunky and irritating to play. This is usually due to poor touch controls implementation. This is NOT the case with Subnautica. This feels built for touch controls. As someone who enjoyed playing this on PC, I am very pleased to jump back into the depths on my iPhone. Well done to the devs for such a tremendous achievement, you have really delivered something special with this port.
Feels like the Future. I’m blown away, everything is as it should be. The performance is outstanding, the UI is perfectly adapted to mobile, and the water feels great 😌 Never did I think this game would be what it is today, if you’ve never played it before, now is the time. Please please please release Subnautica Below Zero iOS!!!
The best game I’ve ever encountered. Subnautica was a game I always watched streamers like Markiplier and other people play but I always wondered if it will be a Mobile game, yes that happened, and it basically was just a dream to play this game. Even though there was some hard parts it was such a cool game to play. W devs. One question will you release Subnautica below zero to mobile too?
Personal opinion. For what this game is on the phone, it is by far the smoothest and most reliable controls you can get on mobile, it has great graphics and great response time. 100% worth the money. Only sight issue on my end is small frame drops but nothing serious and only happens when the game is rendering.
Best game on mobile by far. I’ve been looking for a good AAA game on mobile for a long time but I just can’t find anything that’s not a shooter in some way. But I absolutely love this game, I was a little worried it wouldn’t be scary enough because all the videos I’ve seen don’t look that bad, but when I had my headphones on and I got attacked by a reaper, holly shoot that was terrifying. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!!
QEP crashes game. On the second save file I made, right after I reached the mountain island, whenever I load in the Quarantine Enforcement Platform the game crashes, any fix? And the game still runs even though this is an IPad 9th Gen, not pro or anything. Please help! (Also I believe that this is the same issue that happened with my previous save but just less extreme version, but 4 stars now because I cannot progress but still good because it is Subnautica)
Major bug. I was able to play the game unlock all sorts of items and gear but when progressing through the story line and getting to the precursor khraa containment facility I would just keep crashing and I can load but if I save near the gun I crash and if I explore the facility I crash. I used to play this all the time on Xbox I am now unable to play the save as I went in the facility and everytime I load it crashes please fix.
Just A few Major Fixes. Dear Dev Team, These are the things that need to be fixed in the game as it stands: > teleporting of vehicles across the map during or after constructing. > knife hit box is too small and inconsistent. > glitch that makes your character automatically sink or swim to the surface when you press the up or down control sometimes. > the camera on the screw of the Cyclops keeps reverting back to facing forward whenever you log back in. > leviathans keep swimming through mountains and walls when they should not. > the game keeps turning your flashlight on every time you change the battery (Does this with the seaglide too). > vehicle color customization needs a default color button. More stars will be added when the fixes take place.
Wonderful port. I mean, it runs amazingly, after 30 minutes on my iPhone 16 with 60FPS enabled and medium graphics, I only lost like 5% on my battery, meaning I could play for a few hours and not really worry about power. Also, the controls are satisfactory and do their job great. Overall 10/10, I never thought I’d see this game on mobile!
Great game, needs some updatea. The game runs fantastically, but i feel like the graphics can be a little better. Also the game tends to freeze when saving, causing you to have to reload the app and lose all your progress. Other than that, it is phenomenal. Edit: my review was originally positive but the game has become unplayable because of the issue of it freezing whenever its saving I’ve been stuck in the same place because every time i progress and try to save (even when autosaving) the game freezes and i have to restart the app, losing all the progress i made. Please fix this soon
Bug report. Hi,team.I have found a little problem in different respects. first of all,the killing problem is saving trouble in some devices such as iPad mini 6,when the game saving it stuck for a long time, and don’t end,not only happen in auto-save,but also in manual-save. Secondly, when I dropped off from seamouth, sometimes it will stuck inside seamouth. The game is wonderful, hope things will work out.
Amazing as Always. I bought it on Xbox, bought it on PC, and now bought it on mobile. This version lives up to Subnautica’s name and is very surprisingly, greatly optimized. I couldn’t see a difference between this, the Xbox, and PC version besides the controls and the fact that it’s on a phone. Very well done, devs! I’m still hella hyped for Subnautica 2 by the way!
Good. Never felt the need to play when I had my pc or on my xbox. when I saw it in mobile I picked it up and have rally been enjoying it. it has crashed once on autosave now I manually save whenever I think of it to hopefully not lose a ton of progress if it crashes other than that it’s been super fun. also creative mode is my favorite
I love this game but…. I have this game on every platform and the below zero game but this one has a couple bugs mostly when renaming things on an iPad M2, and iPhone 16 pro max and iPhone XS, iPhone XR it freezes up where I have to go to the Home Screen to get out of the rename feature and ofc there’s terrain issues but I love this game nonetheless would love the improvements tho and ofc to get below zero on mobile too
3 stars for now. I was super excited to see Subnautica was ported to mobile. It’s one of my favorite games on console. However I’ve gotten to the point where the Sunbeam as been destroyed, I just came back from visiting the Aurora a second time and now my game gets hung up any time I try to save. It just sits there saying “Please wait…Saving game…” I’ll come back and give the game 5 stars if the bug is fixed. I really hope it does because up until now the game plays smoother than it did on console.
Runs so good on iPhone 15 pro max. I love this game I’ve played it so many times over the years on many different consoles and pcs and now I have it on my phone it’s just something dude and it looks so beautiful like always I only had to pay 9.73$ since I preordered it I don’t know what’s the normal price will be later on but I’ll be playing the f out of it. And with that have a good night
This is AMAZING!. Some say that I'm drowning in my video game addiction... Now I can say that statement has never been more true! All jokes aside, this game runs and plays like a dream on Medium graphics at 30fps on an iPhone 12 Pro Max. And while I'm generally not fond of touchscreen gaming... The touch controls are so well done that they are not a complaint with this game. It is the same Subnautica I grew to love on PC, in pocket-form!
Almost exactly like playing on the console. This is an excellent port over. It’s so close to the same as playing on the console. The only difference is of course the controls, but they’re very easy to use and it’s very similar to using a regular controller. The whole game seems to be exactly the same as the console version and I am really enjoying it.
First Step, Cannon Ball.. This was my first step into the Subnautica game series and what a cannonball of fun it it. I had no idea games could be so engrossing and fun. Especially on a phone. Normally with survival games it is so boring, with this game I genuinely want to to survive on the planet and find the right equipment so I can explore every inch of this place and hopefully tame this wild world. I still can’t find the prawn suit. I have no idea where it is but I have the arm and I am looking for that darn thing.
Great game now playable everywhere. This game is an example for why more games should be ported to mobile and how it should be done. The touch controls is well thought out for mobile, unlike other ports like the RE series, so I don’t need a controller to properly play the game on my phone, which is the whole point of playing on mobile, if I have to use a controller to play on the go, I’ll just get a steam deck instead.
Just let me change the fraphics and play how i want to play. i was super excited to grt this on my tablet, as i have recently parted ways with my switch due to preformence issues. i booted this game up, and was immediately dissapointed to find out i cant change the terrain or resolution past MEDIUM. Medium?! thats worse than the switch! my tablet runs perfectly fine on the highest settings i could get, and i dont see why you cant just let us change it despite other peoples preformence issues, they can just change it to low! very dissapointed.
Wow!. I never played the PC version, but I really love this version. I’m not much for crafting, but it’s fun in this game. I’m playing through for the second time, and still discovering new areas. As well as dangers. The only complaint is that sometimes the ships will rise out of control, unless you look at the inventory screen, or exit the craft. It can be worked around, but a patch would be nice.
A true port of Subnautica….warts and all. The game is “best in breed” in terms of survival games and has been a hit on PC for years. Enjoy exploring? Dark creepy environments? Base building? It has all that. And it should be five stars - except the port includes issues carried over from PC: graphic bugs / clipping issues, intermittent loss of audio on launch, occasional base pieces that can’t be connected without cause. If these get fixed, it will easily be the best game available for iPad, bar none.
Lots of stuttering. I play on an iPhone 15 pro and even in the lowest setting the game stutters for about a second then goes back to normal and then about 10-30 seconds later sometimes longer it will stutter again other than that the game is fun and I would still encourage you to play it just be patient until they can make an update for the little things
best game ever one issue. so the game is everything looks amazing even on mobile and everything just looks so good and it’s such a great game but there’s some part with a prawn suit where it will get stuck and unable to get it out. One of the problems is in a mushroom forest it has gotten stuck there three times but that is my only problem besides that this is the best game I’ve ever played
Love it a lot but. I have been playing subnautica for a really long time I started on my brothers pc and then bought it on my pc. I like the mobile version of the game it’s just that since I’m running on an iPad nine I’m on a weird version where the textures look like there from half life. I hope they remove that Ps add more graphics settings
Hi team. So the main problem with it is when you do take the auto save feature off if you save in general sometimes it’ll go through right away just fine but most of the time the game locks in place and then when you try to save a blueprint and you can’t really save it unless if you’re playing the game start to finish without saving please have this fixed
Great port, but…. It’s been a good hour and a half in the game, a little awkward on the iPad Pro screen compared to my pc setup but still fun to play for all the same reasons as the original. Not fun, however, is getting stuck on the save screen multiple times. It seems I can’t progress the game at all past a certain point very early on, and it has been a known issue for a long time. If it isn’t fixed I will have to refund as it isn’t playable.
Good on pc, good on mobile. I have played through this game on both pc and ps5 so when I saw it on the App Store I was skeptical at first because I know this game is visually demanding but it runs surprisingly well on phone. The only negative thing I have about the port is that the render distance is shorter than that on pc or console but to be fair a pc is a lot stronger than my phone. Amazing game
Keeps kicking me out. So whenever I reach the alien tower part, it always kicks me out. Oh it’s unplayable I can’t even do anything with the alien tower or get kicked out developers. Please cover this soon or else. I will delete the game and try and refund it oh and also people should get what they pay for not the laggy game that I bought oh, also please make a iPad a supported device
10/10 great game. 10/10 game such an amazing game it runs amazingly if there would be one complaint it’s that the game sometimes soft locks itself when saving and you have to rest and loose the progress you had made up until that save but if you just manually save often it works great I love this game and I would 100% recommend to get it well worth the money on my opinion
Saving bug is so annoying. When I was playing the game and I got everything to make a prawn suit, I went to open a locker and auto save decided it didn’t want me to and I was stuck in the auto save screen unable to do anything, in fact, I still am now while writing this. And this only happens with autosave somehow and I don’t want to disable it, but it keeps ruining my experience /:
Great game, but a mid port. I love subnautica, was super excited to play it on the go but then I found out you can’t customize the button layout in options. That is a HUGE miss on the devs parts, I think any mobile gamer will understand how important it is to have the ability to change where the buttons are in the screen when you play so this is honestly a travesty. Being forced to play subnautica on 2 thumbs really takes out the enjoyment in a playthru when I know I can do more things with 4 fingers.
What can I say?. It’s subnautica on your phone, I’ve played far enough to were I would notice a change in quality- but, There isn’t one. Well- The quality isn’t the *same* but like, No bugs or glitches (other then what is normal for subnautica) has appeared, Even my battery likes it. (Iphone user) It doesn’t Drain my battery like other apps, It’s- It’s subnautica.
Amazing game, but saving sometimes freezes.. This is my first time playing Subnautica and so far im really liking it, i want to fully complete everything, but every time i want to save my game it freezes up, loading forever. i disabled my outsaves see if that’ll fix it but no luck. im assuming this is an error and i would really love if you guys could resolve this issue. Please and thank you ❤️
Simply amazing! Perfect port!. The game itself doesn’t need to be talked about, everyone knows it’s amazing. But this port is absolutely amazing! The UI is so well thought out, you can easily play with touch controls, (prawn suit is a little hard to long job without a controller) but you can play with a controller too which changes the UI layout. Flawless play through from beginning to end, no bugs, looks amazing on iPhone 16 pro max. No Developer tab for cheats but that’s ok, my only real complaint is there isn’t an achievement for completing on hardcore or more small achievements like finding all 4 cuddle fish. But still 10/10 game!! Thank you to the devs for making this possible!! Now I can play Subnautica anytime, anywhere, I want :)
