I have recently started using google calendars as my future planning and for the most part i love it but i hate that the iPad app makes it where the actual calendar is only half the screen. I wish there was a way to either toggle this on and off or to change it in settings. Or maybe just make the “monthly thumbnail” a bit smaller. It makes the app difficult for me to use with the calendar this crowded into itself and i find myself having to go out of my way to find a computer.
It would be so much better if the app icon showed today’s date
After the latest update, I can’t even launch the app!
I live my life by this app, and I love that I can see personal and work calendars all in one place. Overall it is great—except when the calendars on my phone haven’t caught up with the calendars in real life. When times change, locations are added or someone cancels or adds a meeting, these don’t show up on my phone... until they feel like it I guess. I’ve searched over and over but the only way for me to force sync is to uninstall and re-install... 🙄 no thanks.
I really love google calendar. It helps with family planning with everyone having their own identifiable color on the calendar. Yet it gets 3 stars because I want an app for my Apple Watch. Even if it is more of a view so I can easily see what’s going on that would be awesome.
I like the calendar it syncs with my wife’s flawlessly. I only wish the app thumbnail showed the current date. If it did would get 5 stars
Can the app be updated to reflect current date rather than showing 31?
Please google get the app icon to show current date so I can get rid of my apple calendar off my front screen. Your calendar is far more superior except for the app icon. Thx!!!!!
It had a Apple Watch complication and date didn’t always say the 31st
Cool App, But the app name is too long, and looks ugly. Please change it to just Calendar Not allowed? Well, Gcalendar like Gmail ❤️
The only feature that’s missing is being able to see the date on the app widget on the home screen, like with the apple calendar.
BUGS: When changing the notification of a recurring event, it keeps reverting back to the old notification. When showing the results of a search, it shows the latest result but you have to swipe down to see the other results. Tapping the notification of an event fails to load the event. When changing a repeating-event to “Does not repeat,” it still shows as repeating until the current day. When moving an event and then editing it, the option to repeat isn’t available. When a goal is covered by an event, the goal disappears instead of moving to another time. When editing a reminder to repeat, it fails to repeat. When editing an event’s address, it fails to save. Please fix. PROS: You can now long-press on a cell to create an event. The new drag & drop function makes rescheduling events a lot easier. Put in the address and you can go to Google Maps from the event, which is very useful. Repeat options are great - for example, you can have it repeat on the third Wednesday of each month if you want. Display options provide plenty of flexibility. The redesign is excellent, a welcome change. Regular updates to squash bugs and improve the experience. HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER: When marking a reminder as “done” it should sync to the iPhone, so that we don’t get a reminder to do something that’s already been done. Get rid of the “SAVE” button - the app should save automatically, just like other Google apps. Make the current-time line easier to see - instead of just a black line, make it a white line with a black outline. The icon should show the current day and date, just like Apple’s Calendar app, instead of just saying “31”. When typing in the search bar, it should show results as you type - this is Google, search is your strength, remember? When creating/editing an event, the “More options” button should be named “repeat options” so that it isn't hidden. Add the option to add a notification after the event starts - some events go all day and we might want to go there sometime in the middle. When editing an event to add a notification, offer the option to set it at the time of the event - we shouldn’t have to custom-set it to 0 minutes/hours. Add the duplicate option, which is available for events, to reminders. Add an undo option for undoing actions like deleting recurring events. CONCLUSION: Despite the bugs, this is my fave calendar app - it just needs a few tweaks. If you liked this review, please long-press it and mark it as “helpful.”
It just deletes the event
The calander is good for the year. But if you need to look up someone from the previous year forget it. You have to go back & search manually. It’s ridiculous & should be corrected. Here’s your chance to do an update !
For God’s sake, let me create new Calendar types and change which calendar a particular event falls under in the app!!!!
I installed this on my iPad so that I could see my tasks (to do list). I add them in google calendar online (website) but this calendar doesn’t support showing the tasks or adding them. What’s the point? I will go back and use the default Apple calendar, it’s got a cleaner interface.
Great product except that as soon as you move forward more than a week the current version (on iOS) freezes and then crashes.
Used to write in a physical diary but I don’t need to anymore. I really love the fact I can colour code my events. It’s so helpful with my crazy schedule!
My working week doesn’t start until Wednesday but the app only allows for the start of week to be set as Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Would be helpful to be able to change this to be any day of the week.
Google calendar is 95% great. If only the icon for google calendar showed the actual date like the Apple generic calendar.
Why doesn’t it be Tell me today’s date instead of “31” VERY frustrating. I gave it two stars because it’s EZ to operate. I do not like opening the calendar to know today’s date.
I schedule my all day in the web version but I get nothing in my app no notifications no reminders nothing.I’m installing this for the second time Hope that prob wil solved.
Definitely needs more color options to color code events in the calendar. There’s a whole universe of colors out there. Why does the app provide only 12 colors to choose from?
It's no longer compatible w iPhone 5. Please fix this. Really love this app. Don't leave us po folks behind just bc we can't afford a newer phone.
A recurring event from a shared to me calendar is appearing 1 week offset only on the iPhone Google Calendar app. The Android app and Calendar web app both show it on the correct date. I submitted feedback in the app and am awaiting a response.
I would like change the 31 number is alway confusing and more color every thing is smaller
I'd expect the mobile version which is huge in size to have the same features as the desktop. But no. It's missing (so far) multiple calendars like holidays or religious holidays for different countries. Syncing doesn't work well. I removed a calendar forum the Web version. I refreshed the calendar and it still showed the disabled calendar. Not impressed and I'm very disappointed. Uninstalled.
It would be awesome to be able to add photos to the events (in the event notes as well).
I love Google calendar but forget using it on iOS, it won’t send any notifications. I keep missing countless meetings due to the poor notification system in this app.
My school district has migrated to google this year. I was already doing much of my work through google but I was a born and raised outlook guy. I really have enjoyed the google calendar’s flexibility. With that said, can you make the app show the date passively so I don’t have to open the calendar to check the date? Thank you Love, Will
Keeps crashing and automatically closing since update. Great when working
App won’t load after it’s last update
Big “+” button covers bottom right part of calendar
The app has been freezing and getting very slow/buggy since last update. Getting to point of deleting it, sadly, as it used to be so good!
Day & date would be better
I LOVE this app. I just wish it didn’t delete all my appointments/colour coding of classes, etc. basically straight away. If I solely relied on this calendar I would probably miss all of these. Definitely would recommend that this is addressed in an update!
Great and very useful until it started frequently deleting all my events
Works fine, but needs to be optimised for the latest apple iPhone X
widget do not open calendar !
The best calendar. I tried different apps but this one have so many options and is so simple to use. I will recommend to anyone.
