Link to Windows Comments & Reviews 2026

Dream Come True. I can’t believe I’m able to send and receive messages/calls from my Windows 11 laptop! I joined Windows Insider to access that one feature alone, and after patiently waiting, I finally received my invite to join the preview group. My only desire is that I wish you could access your entire message history from your PC, instead of just messages you sent and received from your PC. I’ll take what I can get, though. Regardless, Phone Link is finally software I no longer have to find a way to uninstall. It works wonderfully for iPhone users now, and I’m so grateful! Thank you, Microsoft!

So happy to finally have some integration of iPhone —> Windows. I have an iPhone but Windows computer and have always felt like I was severely missing out on Airdrop with the Apple-only ecosystem. Link to Windows brings a lot of that functionality to Windows included seamlessly sharing files and sending texts which I love. With how much we text these days, I love using a keyboard to text quickly while I’m already sitting at my computer instead of picking up my phone and using two thumbs. Of course there some missing features still like group chats that would be nice but this is still a fantastic and seamless integration that I will be using a lot!

3 stars. I have received latest iPhone update since then it don’t pay with my laptop on my Windows. Calls randomly switch between laptop to my iPhone without tapping anything it just does it itself in the middle of the court the connection goes to my phone in the other room and it’s the same thing with my phone when I receive calls from my phone, the voice of the person I talk to disappear and it goes to computer when I tap it to get the call back on my phone it does it, but after 10 seconds it again goes to computer so there are some options and downs with the application and love the most matter is not connecting with my phone it’s not pairing

PhoneLink Review. I love that I am able to connect my phone to my laptop now. I have an iPhone , but I prefer HP or windows computer systems. It really makes everything more convenient to have access to everything in one place. A few things that I do not like about PhoneLink include the lack of ability to reply to group message from my computer , but still receiving the notifications for group messages. I also think (not sure) if someone sends messages containing images, images do not show up on the computer either. I’ve also experienced a few issues with connectivity and the app glitching to where it has trouble starting upon turning my computer on, and connecting to my phone.

I love being able to send and receive texts on my PC. Instead of having to grab my iPhone, like others, I wish it would display images and allow group texts, and display the entire thread. However one thing that aggravates me is, when I am typing a message and I receive a text from someone else, the new message pops up and I have to exit the new text and scroll back up or down to the message I am texting. I don’t lose it, but I have to go find it. The most aggravating thing, though, is when I type a long message and hit Send, I will get a message that says “We’re having trouble connecting…” but in the top left corner it shows that the phone IS connected. It is happening randomly—at the worst time possible—on my HP laptop AND my Bosses Microsoft Surface. I have made sure my iPhone, the App, and the laptops are updated. And it still happens. I am unable to purchase a MacBook at this time, so I hope Microsoft can get the issue resolved.

Needed a quick solution.. As a personal preference, I'm not overly fond of downloading random applications to my iPhone, especially if I still need to vet or review the application. However, today, I needed a quick solution to the "it's on my PC DeskTop how do I send via iMessage" conundrum. I needed a quick solution (not a quick fix): Copy from a website on my PC desktop. Paste the information. Send the information via iMessage on my iPhone. Using the PhoneLink application, linking my phone to my PC, and then beginning to use it was less than five minutes. I'm enjoying the application (using it for 30 minutes), this new application on my phone, and this new experience. The PhoneLink application may have been around for a while, but I am enjoying it now. I don't review items with five stars. I notice some bugs and glitches, but for the most part, PhoneLink is exceptionally user-friendly and practical for people who live in the iPhone environment and want to quickly send information or share information from working on their PC desktops. Great work.

Useful but Limited - iPhone. Phone Link is worth having for iPhone, even if it doesn’t do everything you want. You can stop reading reviews and just download it, it’s useful for what it does and it’s not a big decision, anyway. What it does: Let you read texts you received recently. Read 7 recent conversations, but only messages you received or sent from your computer, not that you sent from iPhone. Text anyone from your computer. You can read only the last 7 convos, but you can start one regardless. Helps because you can paste directly instead of scanning text/typing manually on your phone. Text yourself stuff instead of typing it in manually. A pseudo-universal clipboard, if you will. Send files seamlessly, instead of relying on email, which has file size limits. Notifications pop up on your computer too, not just your iPhone. Transfer calls to and from your computer. Can be finicky. What it doesn’t do: Let you read texts you sent on your iPhone. Actually let you copy on computer and paste straight on iPhone like you can on a Mac. Screen mirror your iPhone. Pretty much anything else I didn’t list. Other: It shows up on the Windows start menu as well as on the app, for easy access. Recommendation: Download it and use it. It simplified a lot of things even if it can’t do everything (which is probably not the dev’s fault. Apple is specific about their ecosystem)

The buggiest phone link ive ever used. My entire laptop lags when a new text comes in. This is a brand new laptop and has been cleaned and purged of bloatware to improve performance. Also, when i am typing a text on my laptop and a new text message comes in, it kicks me out of the text thread i was typing in and displays “no messages”. I then have to click back into the text thread and keep typing. Thankfully, it saves everything ive typed before kicking me out (great job guys! You managed to include an actual feature in your bug!) but its extremely annoying and not worth using. If you have an iphone, please avoid this phone link or just buy a macbook. Apple far exceeds microsoft in its connectability between devices and is seamless. This jankey app is way more hassle than it is help. Thinking about reaching out to my local High School to ask the computer science class to make me a better one.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I'm not somone who has the delusional blockage that most have always chasing the idea of "Perfect" in this world it's non existent and always will be.. 2nd I'm not a troll that goes around doing my best to downgrade everything or everyone.. i noticed this app only had a 3 star rating which is definitely not even close to the stars it should have.. Everything has always worked on this app as it should and the app is user friendly as they come. If you want to link your device that's exactly what it does without fits and all the other chaos and hording of information behind our backs. The app maintenance is kept up and the apps security is very good. I'm not one for long speeches so keep up the good work and don't let the trolls bother you.. Especially the ones that think there is "Perfect" in this world in life you will fail and you will fail often because no matter how well you do someone will say it's not good enough.. if perfect did exist this is one that would be in the classification"Perfect"

Helpful once working, but setup and messaging need improvement. The app is useful once you finally get it connected, but the setup process was frustrating and took multiple attempts before it worked correctly. The biggest issue for me is that conversations don’t sync well across devices, which makes it confusing to keep track of messages. I was also surprised that group messaging functionality is very limited. At one point I thought I was replying to an entire group conversation, but my response only went to one person. That could easily create communication problems if you’re using it for work or coordinating with multiple people. Overall, it has potential and does work for basic messaging, but the setup experience and conversation handling need improvement.

Good progress compared to nothing. The app works well for receiving and sending messages as long as there is a Bluetooth connection between computer and phone. It basically acts as a remote reader and input device to the phone. However, pictures, emoticons or videos are not transmitted and the computer will not have a remote edit function, meaning you cannot edit, delete or otherwise change messages once sent or received by the phone. Message history while disconnected from Bluetooth is not transmitted either. I would not want to miss this app, but it does not compare to the full integration between Apple devices be they phone, tablet or computer. It remains to be seen if MS and Apple can or want to ever work out that level of integration.

Good app but could use some improvements. This is a great application for PC users with an iPhone. I like it because I spend most of my time on the computer and I like being able to answer calls and texts right from my PCs keyboard. The only improvements I would like to see is to be able to see ALL of my previous text conversations in the text message tab. Right now you can only see messages that are sent and received via the phone link app. Other than that this is a great feature. Apple and Microsoft need to work together on this as most people (especially business people) have iPhones but work off of a PC.

Limited text messaging. One of the primary benefits of this app is being able to use text messaging on my PC. For instance, if I want to send a Zoom link, I can cut and paste the link into the messaging app. The limitation is that I can send to only one person at a time. There is no group texting. the other major limitation is that only text messages that I received during the Bluetooth session appear, so I have to go to another device to see other messages. The phone call link is somewhat useful, but I can always go to my phone on speaker to get the same fact it’s the ability to type messages from my PC that would be the greatest benefit. Of this app, if all features were enabled.

I actually wish it worked. Downloaded this to my iPhone 11 as well as on my Windows 11 PC. For the most part it worked with the exception of making phone calls on my computer. If I get a phone call or make a phone call using the phone link app on my PC then I can hear the called party, however no matter what I do they cannot hear me. I am not on mute nor is there anything wrong with my microphone on my PC. There are no restrictions on my microphone and my WebCam microphone works just fine but no matter what I do. The other person cannot hear me. To me this is an important part of this app. I tried reaching out to Microsoft community but either they repeat every step that I have done and documented, which is no help or I don’t receive any information or feedback from Microsoft or the MVPs. Please fix this.

Pretty Exciting Future. The fact that this is possible at all is incredible. We have been waiting for a feature like this for years. That being said, there are a ton of bugs and limitations. The biggest problem is that it is not a true link; your conversations don’t sync exactly from your phone to your pc like a Mac does, which is ultimately the desire of the end user. Not being able to send multimedia over the link is a huge limitation. Calling does switch over just like a headset, which is a very nice feature, especially since I use my phone and computer for work. It’s easy to leave my phone alone and field calls and messages on my computer since I’m doing relevant work on screen.

Very Nice but a Few Suggestions. It paired with my pc perfectly and intuitively. I really love its design. It even works if your pc is running Windows 11 without all of the minimum requirements to run the OS. I have a few suggestions though; 1. Please allow the music to play from the computer and more controls. 2. Group Chat text support. I am pretty sure a lot of you guys are like me and have a group chat that has your friends or family in it. I would feel that this app would have some of its true potential unlocked if you can text your group chats from your computer. 3. Having support for every SMS, MMS, and RCS feature, such as photos, stickers, audio messages, music sending, all the good stuff. The app will be a lot better if the features are implemented. 4. Allowing more phone control, like a mirror phone screen to Windows option, or to play games on pc from a game on your phone. I am someone who loves playing games and I love using what I have to it’s full potential, I use a keyboard and mouse on an Xbox or using controllers on Vr, so we could add more support for controlling the phone from the pc. I love the app even though I have recently downloaded it, I just think with the suggestions I said put in place in this app and the pc Phone Link app, then I think the app would have its full potential unlocked and a lot more people would use it.

Game changer for seamless connectivity. The Windows Link to iPhone app is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. Setting it up was incredibly easy, and within minutes, my iPhone was connected to my Windows PC. Notifications, messages, and even photos sync effortlessly, saving me tons of time switching between devices. The interface is clean, intuitive, and runs smoothly without noticeable lag. I especially love being able to respond to texts right from my computer. This app truly bridges the gap between iPhone and Windows users — highly recommend it for anyone who wants a seamless cross-device experience!

It’s like an MVP product but at least it’s there. I remember when I Windows phone and worked at Microsoft. We were forbidden from having iPhones. I was always jealous of how my Mac wielding friends could easily respond to texts from their computers and wondering why I couldn’t. Until this app came along, I still wondered. It makes typing lengthy texts easier but in no way parallels texting from your iPhone in terms of capability. So yes I’m glad I can type text on my computer and have it send on my phone, but that’s essentially what I’ve been able to do with email since my first BlackBerry. A lot more future development is needed here. 1. Setting default call acceptance option - like just because I’m connected to my phone doesn’t mean I want to answer a call on my computer. It could be in the other room. 2. The texting capability is barebones with iPhone. No threaded texts, no effects, it’s just bare bones. 3. I can’t figure out how to have notifications not show up in the app. Until it is better featured, I don’t need “instagram updates” showing up in my phone link UI. It’s essentially just a hyperlink. I don’t need my Ring Doorbell alerts to show up either. As examples. I’m genuinely hoping you invest in this but right now it seems like an afterthought with no product leadership or inspiration.

Ehh…. Intel Unison is a little better (mainly because you can transfer data even on an iPhone). This app is bad, but it is better than having to pick up your phone. It truly is so limited, and I REALLY HOPE the team can improve it whereas group messages will work, you can receive messages instead of having to send out a message first, being able to click on a phone number on the internet or a link in Salesforce (in particular) and have it upload to phone link (if there are any letters or numbers after the actual number, the phone number doesn’t work well). Anyways, this is a great tool for sales if they can spend some time to think through the use case.

iPhone sends texts but may not receive. The process to connect my iPhone with PC was simple and I can easily send texts. I wasn’t receiving texts though. After troubleshooting, I found a solution. 1) Turn off Bluetooth on iPhone and computer and close the Phone Link app on computer. 2) On iPhone, go to Settings > Notifications > Messages > set “Show Previews” to “Always”. I had mine previously set to “Never”. 3) Turn Bluetooth back on for iPhone and computer and open the Phone Link app on computer. Now I was able to send and receive texts. Although the above helped for a time, later on I was no longer receiving texts again and had to remove my device from my PC and go through the connection process again. It’s great when it works!

Love it. Phone Link has been an excellent tool for connecting my phone to my computer. The setup was simple, and once everything was paired, it worked smoothly right away. Being able to see notifications, send and receive text messages, and access photos directly from my PC saves a lot of time and keeps everything in one place. The interface is straightforward and reliable, and it makes multitasking much easier during the day. Instead of constantly picking up my phone, I can handle messages and quick tasks right from the computer. Overall, Phone Link is a very useful and convenient app that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a seamless connection between their phone and PC.

So helpful!. I find this app so helpful and have it set up across all my user accounts on all my Windows devices. Copying and pasting 2FA codes when I’m working on my PC becomes mega easy. Transferring files to my phone is a huge feature for me when I’m completing certain tasks on my phone that I begin on my PC (not needing to email myself files etc). I imagine this feature is in the works but I would like to see images in my text messages some time in the future as it’s currently the only time I need to pick up and look at my phone while working on my desktop. Oh and I should mention how convenient it is to type on a keyboard when replying to texts. People often ask how I can reply so quickly.

Microsoft Phone Link - Poor Performance, Weak Connection, and Unreliable. Concept: Great, but Execution Falls Short Microsoft Phone Link is a software application that aims to integrate IPhone messenger functionality with Windows PCs, allowing users to access their messages directly from their computer. The concept is quite compelling, giving users the convenience of accessing key mobile features without having to constantly switch between devices. However, the execution of Microsoft Phone Link is poor. Performance Issues: I have poor performance with the application, leading to frustration and an unreliable experience. Connectivity Problems: The connection between the smartphone and PC appears to be weak and unstable, making it difficult to seamlessly transition between the two devices. The overall reliability of Microsoft Phone Link is questionable, I have been experiencing issues that undermine the application's intended purpose. While the idea behind Microsoft Phone Link is promising, the poor performance, weak connectivity, and unreliable nature of the current implementation seem to be significant drawbacks. For the application to be truly useful and succeed in the market, Microsoft will likely need to address these technical issues and provide a more polished, consistent product.

Not bad, just not functional. Here's how this app works for me on an iPhone 16. First you start connecting to a Windows 11 (Pro) laptop. The Bluetooth works, the Windows app picks up my phone, and when I grant permissions, it shows messages and allows me to make phone calls and reply to messages on my desktop. This iPhone app doesn't recognize the connection. The connection over Bluetooth works. The Windows app does what it's supposed to do. This iPhone app doesn't recognize anything. It's just uselessly not attached to my Microsoft account and uselessly unaware that the Windows side is working just fine. You only need this app to connect to a Windows machine. You don't need it on your phone. I'm removing this app again (now this review is done), and the Bluetooth connection to my laptop will continue to work just fine.

So far so good. To be able to text from my desktop and so far in the last few days this is done what I needed. There are a few improvements I’d like to see. 1) Allowing carriage return when composing a message. Right now if you hit enter, hoping to start a new line it actually sends the text instead. 2) All incoming text messages don’t show up on my computer. It’s a hit and miss when people reply to a text on whether or not their reply will appear on my computer. It will appear on my phone but not on the computer, which is annoying. I have not tried the function for making calls since it’s not something I really need. So far no connectivity issues between my phone and computer so far loving it but hoping to see more improvements in the future.

Ok - some good some improvements needed. In fairness I’ve only been using this two days. My first recommendation to Microsoft is not to spam us to review until you allow the user to actually use the software a bit. Messages -I hate texting for business, it’s so much better being able to respond on my laptop to texts. If I could easily copy and paste multiple texts in a thread to email or notes that would be a nice improvement. If we can see group texts that would be great but I think I can see the difficulties that would give. The one thing that I really don’t like is I can be replying to a text, when another text comes in it automatically switches to the new incoming message. It would be much more convenient to finish the message then look to see the new text. Calls - it’s been a little buggy - I select phone on my phone and it just switches back automatically to the computer shortly after. Overall I might still like this I think I need to get used to it. Over all I like it. I do have some concerns it might be distracting. I was on a Teams meeting and an incoming call started ringing on the computer as I was speaking on mic. My solution was to put my phone on airplane mode.

NEEDS TO IMPROVEMENT. I was really excited about this app because, without a MacBook, it’s been challenging to send photos and files to my computer for school. The app initially worked well for that specific task. However, I encountered issues when receiving FaceTime calls on my phone; it wouldn’t allow my Bluetooth devices to connect, and I eventually realized my calls were going to my computer. But I couldn’t figure out how to stop my calls from doing that. Even when I wasn't on FaceTime, my Bluetooth device had trouble connecting or would glitch out. I ended up deleting the app and disconnecting my phone from my laptop, and now all my Bluetooth devices connect perfectly. This app has a lot of potential, and I would love to use it, but the Bluetooth connectivity issues need significant improvement.

It works well enough. Phone Link appears to leverage the iPhone’s notification and hand-free functions to allow a user to send and receive messages on a Windows computer. It’s clever and it works for most of my 1-1 use cases. It doesn’t work with group messages (but you’ll be notified that you got a group message) and sending/receiving photos. It also cannot sync messages that you directly send with the phone. Example: You get a message from Bob and see it on the Phone Link app on the PC then decide to use your phone to reply instead of using the PC. You will not see your reply on the Phone Link app. You would have seen it if you used Phone Link app to make the reply. I get the limitations that Microsoft is working with when trying to interface with an iPhone, so I don’t see any of this as being problematic. I usually do not run into any issues because most of my messages are 1-1 anyway.

Getting there. This review is for iPhone support in Windows using this app. It’s almost getting to the point of being a good match to native MacOS support of iPhone on Mac’s. It is missing support for group messages as well as emoji reactions overlay on the message. Like, if you love a message with a heart emoji, it is listed as another message instead of putting a heart over the correct message. File transfer works well. I would love to see copy / paste support added as well. Right now, I can’t copy on iPhone and paste on the connected Windows device which is automatically happening between iPhone and Mac. Overall, I’m happy with the direction and progress of this app. Looking forward to further improvements in features and everyday usability.

Needs work…. This is more like a proof of concept at this point. Sad given MS quality and output from other apps of late. Notifications are the key as other reviews mentioned. If you have iMessage open on your phone, then no notification is given on the phone, hence does not show up in Windows phone link. Message is apparently lost. if iMessage is NOT open on the phone and Phone Link app is open in Windows then the ‘message conversation’ is not updated but it appears as though the message was received as it shows in notifications. Close and open the Windows phone link application and the message is properly displayed in the message conversation. App is simply not ready for prime time… hoping to see rapid improvements as I have been waiting a while for this functionality.

Seems to have improved!. The Phone Link app and/or Link to Windows app on the phone, seem to be working much better than the first time I tried using it. No more connection issues. No more text thread syncing issues. Everything is working as expected, which makes texting using my PC very convenient. I am not good at typing on my iPhone. I use to be much better at it, say 5 years ago and before, but my eyesight has gotten a little worse and my fingers are big and more calloused now, so it take me forever to get a text out. Using a full keyboard is a different story. I can “text” 3x as fast using an actual keyboard. Worth giving a try if you wish your PC could use Messages like on a Mac. This is a great solution at this point.

Horrible execution. This app is a horrible excuse to steal data from your iphone and give it to Microsoft. The premise is cool but the execution is horrid. I have had nothing but issues with phone link including, doubled notifications, inability to use Bluetooth on my phone, WiFi connection issues, increased start up time on laptop, and so much more. This app has given me nothing but grievance. The only good use of this is quick file transfer but that can easily be supplemented with something like Tailscale. Microsoft simply doesn’t care enough to add support to anything of their own software so that it is reliable and it really shows when it is used in combination with apple products. If you have AirPods you will hate this because it makes it so that you will have to unpair them from both devices and disable phone link every time you connect them to your computer and sometimes randomly. To top it all off when you do disconnect your devices you will get about 100 notifications per minute about repairing you devices. Consider this a warning to use any product but Microsoft to achieve whatever it is that you want from this horrible app.

Problem with teams. Mostly it works but some issues. I like being able to send texts from my windows computer; that is nice. However, when I am on a teams meeting on my phone, if I try to add my Linked laptop to the same meeting (for example so I can view a shared screen) it automatically puts the call on hold in my phone. If I add device that means the new device is not using audio or video, I don’t want to switch which device I’m am using to speak or listen. Not long ago, it would not allow me to have both my phone and the laptop it was connected to in the same meeting, if I took one off hold the other went on hold, back and forth. Most recently, I only needed to take my phone off hold after adding the laptop, no further issues.

Great feature - just needs improvement. I love this feature and really want to give it 5 stars, but I just can’t. My overall input seems to be in alignment with other reviews, but these are my pain points from what I also enjoy. The biggest thing I enjoy is simply getting notifications and being able to text people, and send files from my phone as it helps me be more efficient and not requiring extra time to move back and forth from phone to computer. 1. Feature overall is great but the setup took several attempts to complete. Even then, the Bluetooth wasn’t always connecting and still has problems now where it isn’t synced 100% of the time. This became frustrating and is really the biggest reason for 3 stars. 2. I do not like how the messages sent from my phone do not show up in the computer. It nearly defeats the purpose of having the computer option because if I switch to my computer from my phone after being out for an hour or any extended period of time, my conversations would require me to almost go back into my phone and see what I said last to continue a discussion. Not the end of the world but this needs a fix. 3. Messaging is great, but I don’t like how group chats don’t feed through at all and they are all singled out with the person sending the text. This needs to be a fix in the future because this really puts me in an odd spot where I have to pickup my phone compared to using this functionality. I know it’s not a phone but ideally, I would assume most people would like this feature to act like their phone on nearly the same level. 4. The music doesn’t seem to work or maybe it’s just my setup. Either way I don’t use it a lot so nothing is really lost for me here but it seems others have issues as well.

It’s enjoyable and gets the job done. There can be some improvements made to the interface in terms of how it appears on the computer side but for what it is it definitely gets the job done. I’m able to call, text, check notifications, check battery level, and check call logs from my computer. The only downside is that if I respond to a group message I do not respond to the group but the individual person. Not only this but I cannot see the messages that I send the person from my phone so it shows up as an incomplete conversation on the computers end. Other than those minor downfalls I do enjoy using the app and it has been a good addition to my life.

Good but kinda annoying. When I got my new computer I was really excited for phone link. While it’s great to see my messages when I don’t have access to my phone during the day, it’s really annoying that messages I send do not show up on my computer. Also, as a person who primarily uses WhatsApp (who’s app is amazing on of btw) it’s really frustrating that they can’t figure it out like WhatsApp did. I love that I can call though. Also any links sent to you it can’t rly open. The photo connect is good but it’s a hassle to rename photos and then you don’t know which is which. I was under the impression that there would be like apps and one would be photos so I was very much mislead

App doesn’t work usually. After replacing Bluetooth device to use Windows phone link app - it doesn’t work well. For sending files between phone/windows localsend app works better. This app is constantly attempting to create a new Bluetooth connection to the phone & phone calls will get intercepted by the computer trying to take over mic/speaker while on voice calls. Text messages only appear on widows if Bluetooth connection is connected at time of receiving. Still misses 80% of conversations in messages. Calls only shows calls listed while receiving within Bluetooth range. So call log is incomplete too. The app is garbage and possibly because it isn’t collecting information on calls/text made while away from computer. …also- the app should never try and be a Bluetooth microphone/speaker by default - only when that feature is requested. Very annoying app that seems broken and will probably be discontinued soon..

Finally Makes Texting on Windows Feel Natural. I absolutely love the Phone Link app. Being able to reply to text messages directly from my Windows PC has been incredibly valuable for me. Before this, I never really had a seamless way to handle texts while working on my computer. What makes the biggest difference is how little it interrupts my workflow. Instead of physically picking up my phone, unlocking it, and typing on a small keyboard, I can just switch to the Phone Link app, quickly type a response on my full-sized keyboard, and get right back to what I was doing. Even short replies are faster and much less disruptive. I primarily use the texting features, and they work extremely well for my needs. I did try using it for a phone call once, but I had audio issues where the other person couldn’t hear me well. That may have been a setup issue on my end, though, because the messaging experience has been excellent. For anyone who spends a lot of time on a Windows PC, especially during work, this app is a huge quality-of-life improvement.

Seamless connectivity between Phone and PC. This app is a game-changer for anyone who wants a smoother connection between their smartphone and PC. It allows me to access texts and calls directly from my computer - no need to constantly switch between devices. The interface is clean and easy to navigate. I especially love the ability to reply to messages and view notifications in real time. For someone who spends a lot of time at their desk, it really boosts productivity and reduces distractions. Overall, this app is a must have tool for anyone looking to start connected and efficient across devices.

Limitations of the software are due to Apple, and not Microsoft. Microsoft has given us the best functionality possible given the restrictions in place by Apple. I appreciate especially the options available to customize my use of the app. Specifically the ability to disable call functionality through the app. I don't want my pc taking control of those and would rather separately answer on my phone. Without the ability to turn that off I'd honestly not even use the app. Thanks for doing what you can here and delivering this product even though it can't be as perfect as we'd like thanks to lack of access on the ios side.

Convenient app for using iPhone on Windows. When it works it works well. There are times however where notifications will go to my laptop but then when I attempt to respond it says that the device isn’t connected even though it shows that it is. Usually a system restart will resolve this issue. But can be frustrating to do when I’m in the middle of doing other things on my computer and just want to quickly respond to my messages. Definitely have seen an improvement from recent updates so that’s a plus. But if that one issue could be resolved somehow I’d give it 5 stars.

Nice concept, if only it kept working.. On my new laptop, it worked perfectly for a few months, but then problems began. First, people at the other end of the call complained that they couldn’t hear me, even as I could hear them well. More recently, when I make a phone call using Phone Link, the Transfer to PC button is inexplicably grayed out, forcing me to grab my phone promptly anyway, Phone Link or none. Today, some of the most recent messages failed to show up on my PC, and for others, the app itself has instructed me to grab my mobile device to continue the conversation. (I was able to reply to some other messages from my PC.) I tried everything, up to deleting and reinstalling Phone Link on both PC and phone, and still the problems persist. And I’m amazed at how few answers to this there are online, and what is there sometimes seems out of date, for instance mentioning menu options that are not available to me.

Having this on my desktop is huge!. I’m giving it four stars for one reason and one reason only because it still can’t do everything that I can do from my mobile device on my desktop. But once I can do that, I’m gonna give it a five star. You can’t always attach things or read attachments or things of that nature that you can do on your mobile phone. I’m sure they’re working on it, and I’m sure it’s gonna be here shortly. But for right now, it’s a fantastic tool. Just having it here makes life easier, especially when you’re juggling 15 different things and running your own business and you just need to have something that you can do quickly, like being able to copy and paste from your desktop into text message. Or answer a text while you’re in the middle of an important task. Golden.

Work in progress!. Spring hasn’t sprung yet here in New England so I decided to invite the Easter Bunny to slip his snowshoes on for search for a new electronic Easter Egg! Found one from Lenovo with lots more bells and whistles than my archaic Dell. So many new features, applications, and cloud integration that is both overwhelming and exciting. The Phone Link is just one app that’s becoming a convenient necessity! For me, it does work better with a headset on than strictly using only the laptop speakers and microphone. That said, it could be due to my desktop equipment arrangement, my individual Yoga laptop speaker and microphone location, or other devices settings that need to be tweaked. The more I use, the more I will learn!

Hopeful. I think this is a good start and it got me pretty excited since before I couldn’t sync anything from my phone to my microsoft laptop! I like how it shows my notifications from other apps. I also enjoy the mimic of imessage where it allows gifs, emojis and even emoticons. As people have mentioned, the conversation will not sync if you switch to text on your phone. There are also delays with messages coming in from imessage and to start a conversation I have to type in the designated phone number instead of the contact name which is inconvenient. However, the app does warn you it can’t sync message history and any messages from your phone. This the best app that’s worked so far for getting notifications on my laptop from my phone and at least I can text a little! I hope they will add a feature where we can change the theme of the chat and make kt more colorful! I hope it will continue to be worked on and improved : )

Beat option out there but still lacking some features. Overall this is definitely the best option for linking your iPhone with your PC to send messages, but there are definitely some caveats that you’ll have to deal with until further support or app development. Group chats don’t work because messages from each group member show up as individual chats. Any messages that you send from your phone don’t show up in the app, and you can only see the other party’s responses, so you either go all in and chat with the app or just use your phone. It’s been convenient for me to use at work to respond here and there throughout my day when I don’t have time to pull out my phone and text. Overall 3.8/5 but I rounded up to give it a 4 since it’s the best I’ve seen so far in terms of usability and security.

Great tool but needs more integration.. Apple’s Link to Windows feature offers a convenient way to receive calls and messages on your PC while working, but it still has room for improvement. While it effectively syncs notifications and allows users to manage basic messaging and calls, the lack of deeper integration limits its full potential. One major missing feature is the ability to see images within text messages. Without proper media handling, users are forced to check their phones separately, disrupting workflow. Additionally, full screen mirroring—allowing users to interact with their iPhone’s screen directly on their PC—would be a game-changer for productivity, similar to Samsung’s integration with Windows. Overall, Apple Link to Windows is a useful tool, but it could be much more. Enhanced media sharing and seamless screen mirroring would push it toward the perfect companion for users who want complete phone access on their PC. Hopefully, future updates will bring these much-needed improvements.

Frustrating. While the phone is connected to the computer and you receive a phone call and bluetooth is on both computer and phone. You answer the call on the computer. The earbuds connect to either the phone or the computer then nothing happens. Caller cannot hear you but the call was answered. You attempt to transfer the call to the computer and nothing happens. The caller still cannot hear you. It is like both phone Bluetooth and computer Bluetooth cancel each other out. I need to call the caller back every time. Trying to work solely from your computer without having to mess with your phone is impossible and frustrating. At least for me. The phone link works great when you turn the Bluetooth on your phone off but then the link doesn’t work on the computer. Lol!

A useful app. I am using this app with PhoneLink on my Windows laptop. It is useful in a limited way. I like being able to type texts on my computer. That is the main benefit I have used. With my iPhone, other benefits are not available. I can’t add a picture from my computer, for example, or send or receive text to more than one person. Also, it is very different from using Google Voice, which I used to do for years before deciding to get away from Google. With Google Voice, all texts are accessible online because it works through the same servers for both computer and phone with your Google Voice number. With this app, it is simply connecting your computer to your phone whenever they are both connected via Bluetooth. So you do not have a record of communications that happened at other times.

Fist Go at iMessage on Windows 11. I’ve been in the Apple ecosystem for nearly 10 years with only working on windows for work. With recently I had to retire my Mac laptop and instead of buying a new one I decided to make a gaming PC with that same budget. The only reason I didn’t retire my laptop sooner was because I love having the ability to use iMessage on the laptop. Now with this app it’s definitely the first go at this, but I can at least message people on my desktop instead of opening up my phone. Main issue is group chats don’t pop up and then some text messages don’t show up. But that’s probably due to iOS not using the same messaging protocol.

Fast connection with Link to Windows. The phone connects well to the computer. I hope the Bluetooth connection will resist to it. I really enjoy to use the application. Once connected, it is easy to use.

It gets the job done. I can’t complain, it does work when I run my windows 11 machine. Works as advertised. I wish I could see more features like real iMessage support. It’s okay though that I can reply/message and make calls from my PC

Great Time Saver. This app saves me lots of time being able to type texts on my keyboard rather than the phone. Also being able to call directly from the app is a win too!

Good for sending, not for receiving. This app is great if you find it easier to reply to text messages on your computer, which I do. I would love for it to receive messages as well so I can do everything on my computer and not read messages on my phone and then reply on my computer. I don’t know if I haven’t set it up properly or what but this is how it’s working for me.

Does Not Work. I’ve been trying to get the Microsoft Phone Link app to work with my iPhone 14 Pro, but unfortunately, it has been a frustrating experience. Despite following all instructions, uninstalling and reinstalling the app on both my phone and computer, and ensuring all necessary permissions were granted, the app simply won’t connect. All Bluetooth drivers etc. are up-to-date. I was excited about using this feature to seamlessly link my phone and PC, but so far, it’s been a disappointment. I hope future updates resolve these issues, but as of now, the app is unusable for me.

Amazing. I have a HP laptop and have always wanted an Apple to text but I can’t have one. When i saw this my heart lit up and it is amazing. It is sad you can’t see messages before syncing but I am just glad I can text.

Love Phone Link. Easy to use and stops me having to physically grab my phone every time I want to log into google. It also displays my texts as I work on my computer and allows me to answer them on my keyboard.

Basic works can be done in Win10. 🟢Pros - Notifications are fully readable (better the iPhone) - Media control is great - Sending messages (iMessage too) works fine - Hyperlink in notifications - Clearing notifications from windows app 🔴Cons - Calling function from iPhone8 didn’t work - In messages “Reply on text”, sending voice / image messages isn’t available ⚠️Bugs - Messages thread (specifically the ones you sent) doesn’t update once you close the app - can’t use call function on iPhone8 (despite several tries)

So far so good 🤞🏼. Surprisingly it’s working pretty well between my iPhone 15 and my 2024 Lenovo Idea Pad running Win 11. I think it helps that they are both fairly current devices. Willing to bet my previous iPhone 7 wouldn’t have played this nice 😅. Anyway, I don’t feel so disadvantaged now for working across different ecosystems.

Works perfectly for sms if you have Bluetooth 5. Does sms but not mms. Have used services like imgur and weebly blog to send text links to photos/videos instead. Hope that helps someone.

Very intermittent audio pickup using iPhone and a dell laptop. Generally useful but it needs to be more reliable in taking calls - they just ring once on the pc then transfer to the iPhone. So I jump around in a panic. Also it needs to support group text messages- a PC is best for drafting a complex multi address coordination txt, but only one number is supported.

iMessages on pc?. So I really wanted iMessage on my computer, obviously it is impossible to have bc apple and window dont sync. But to my surprise I can message without using iMessage. Obviously It does have limitations on images and videos, the emoji selection and uploading previous conversations but overall it work just fine. If anyone has heard of msn it is pretty much like that lol. Can’t wait for the improvements later on.

Pretty good but still needs some improvements. Works well I think there are some improvements to be had like images, multiple people in conversations, keeping data longer. Plenty more suggestions but overall good.

Junk. Trying to use this on an iOS 18 device with Windows . The app doesn’t know that it’s connected when it’s already connected keeps asking to be connected. Then when it thinks it’s connected, I get a “File failed to send” notification which reads as though someone from a non-English speaking country has written it. I have installed and uninstalled the app, turned Bluetooth on and off, restarted the phone, prayed to a higher power — but sadly it works sometimes and other times it doesn’t - it’s just junk.

Patchy. I’m loving the fact that finally can put a iPhone on the windows however it overloads Bluetooth and every time you turn off the computer, you’ve gotta turn off Bluetooth and reload it. It also says it can’t show the information in the text because of random things when it’s just one person sending you a text really is not comparable to messages with an iPhone to a Mac that it is a bit understandable but would like to see improvements in this.

Convenient, but…. Convenient, but the sound on laptop is not clear. I alway had to switch to phone speaker. Also the app is not letting us select the numbers on the computer. Ability to select the numbers, would’ve let us copy numbers and paste or emails or anywhere.

Sometimes we connect. The app is a great idea, however I find that sometimes it works as intended and other times it’s just won’t connect to my iPhone. When it’s working correctly it’s great. Hopefully it will improve over time.

Great!. I love the utility and convenience of being able yo dial and text via my iPhone straight from my work PC desktop. Early days still testing it. A couple of calls were a bit scratchy to begin with and then cam right.

Kind of works, but flakey.. Doesn’t always reconnect seamlessly when I walk away from PC and come back. Sometimes have to turn Bluetooth off and on again on the phone, or kill Phone Link on the PC and restart. Even when connected, not all text messages received (while connected) on the phone show up on the PC. Phone calls through PC unusable. Sound is crackly and hard to hear on the other end of the call.

Horrible Experience. I spend a lot of time setting it up between my iPhone and PC, only to be completely blocked at the end. I can’t sign in at all. - it just keeps saying we encountered an error try again. When I try to send files, it tells me to sign in, then immediately fails with an error. I’m stuck in a loop nothing I can do. After all that set up, this app is basically unusable. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Bluetooth problems. I liked getting phone notifications and messages on my Windows PC however once connected to the PC by Bluetooth my iPhone would no longer connect to other Bluetooth devices including headphones and CarPlay. Only fix I could find was to toggle Bluetooth on the iPhone off and on each time I wanted to use headphones. Because of this I’ve had to unpair the phone from my PC and I can no longer use Phone Link.

iPhone 15 Link. I was excited to get the equivalent of iMessage on my windows computer and this is definitely a convenient app. Easy to set up and navigate, only issue I have is it misses quite a few messages so I usually need to reference my phone if it’s something important. Other than that, love it!

Can’t answer calls through my desktop. Downloaded this with a hope that I could answer my phone calls through my desktop - we use soft phones for work and have my headphones paired with my desktop, so wanted to be able to answer calls so I don’t have to take my headphones off and answer my phone. This doesn’t seem to work but if someone can help me here, would really appreciate it

Love It. It’s a great app however it seems to freeze and crash regularly. Texts work well however sometimes the response back to me does not show on the screen. Calls also work however sometimes the call drops out or switches speaker. I do find it very helpful and useful with only a few minor issues.

Phone Link Happy. I’m very pleased that I’ve got finally phone messaging working on my PC because it is the first time that I’ve been able to send std text messages from my Microsoft laptop. Certainly a lot easier having to just to operate off just one screen rather than going back-and-forth between multiple devices

Breaks CarPlay. If you own a vehicle that uses Wireless Apple CarPlay, either uninstall or don’t download this app. Ever since using this app, my cars would never pair properly and I’d constantly need to restart my phone to get it to connect via CarPlay. After some research online, some people mentioned that this app will continue to try connect to a PC interrupting CarPlay. I don’t know how Microsoft hasn’t addressed this issue yet, but ever since uninstalling this app, CarPlay works flawlessly.

Seems to be working well. Connects to the phone properly and automatically. Sending messages properly. Will test the rest and update this review again

Phone link. Works fairly well mostly. I do constantly get a nagging message on startup that says ‘having trouble connecting to the phone’ but it seems to connect okay. The warning message is just annoying.

Phone link. It is pretty good. But it would be great if you could use more options from your phone on the pc. This could just be me but I can only use texting and see missed calls and notifications . I can’t make calls or view notifications on the pc.

Satisfactory App. Works most of the time. When it works properly it’s genuinely useful and makes moving between phone and PC way easier. Notifications, photos and messaging integration are great when the connection behaves itself. I especially like the file sharing feature. Being able to quickly move files between devices without emailing things to myself feels seamless when it’s working properly. Can be inconsistent sometimes with random disconnects or sync issues, but overall still a handy app that does what it says more often than not.

Pretty Good. I’m actually surprised at how easy it was to navigate and how quickly the messages and phone calls came through. It’s a little bit hard to transfer a call back into the PC though, but that’s just minor. Other than that it’s pretty good.

Works well.. Phone Link works well, when the phone is connected to the computer. Allows much easier texting when sitting at the computer, which is what it’s designed for. It doesn’t bring in texts you’ve sent when the was not connected, yet that is quite bearable.

Great but a lot to improve!. This app is amazing i’ve been waiting for something like this for so long, but it comes with some downsides, like why does it have to connect through bluetooth i just wish apple would allow it to run on icloud, another thing is why does it not sync photos etc, all that aside tho its a pretty solid app if you have an iphone and a windows computer.

Phone link- a handy tool. Phone Link saves time by not having to use a tiny keypad on your phone. It would be nice though to be able to send messages to groups and be able to handle media. Thank you :) .

So very helpful even with no historical messages. I was looking for a solution after Microsoft retired another app offering a similar compatibility w iPhone. Phonelink is sufficient for me to write text messages from, which is great as an accessibility function, and stops me from looking at my phone more than I need to. Only downside is that you can’t view message threads, only messages sent immediately. Otherwise - super useful. Nice one Phone Link.

Great potential. I could see the potential for this app despite what many users are experiencing at the moment. Just give it time, Microsoft has just updated the PC client app and now it says that iPhone support is “Coming Soon”. I can hardly wait. Keep up the good work 👍

Good concept but Bluetooth reliability issues need solving.. This is particularly great for quickly responding to text messages with a full sized keyboard on your computer. However, using this on two separate iPhones I have consistently found that having this app installed causes Bluetooth on my iPhone to lock up requiring me to turn Bluetooth off through settings and then on again to allow connecting to any device. Very annoying for Apple Carplay which depends on Bluetooth.

Link to windows and iphone. This makes it easy to send individual texts etc on my iPhone via phone connect. My one suggestion is that there should be a function that allows you to send 1 text to multiple recipients just like on your phone text app.

Phone Link: almost as good as it can be. As a Windows user I always envied my Mac colleagues who saw their iMessages in their laptops while working. This evens the field for Windows users with iPhones. Works very well and could only be better if images appeared as well.

The app does not work for everyone yet.. Microsoft is slowly rolling it out to use on windows 11 first then windows 10. Have the app ready so when you do get access you are ready to go. I am still waiting but software seems smooth with no bugs. I will update this review as I go

Link Keeps Me On Top. We have so many modes of communication, and we are expected to be responsive on them all. Link helps keep me stay on top of texts and calls all day without needing to take my focus away from my computer. The previews help me not just be aware but to filter and respond promptly and with minimal disruption to my work flow. Very positive part of my tool kit!

When it works it’s great!. Probably just need to spend some time adjusting setting and learning a bit more about the app… sometimes it works perfectly other times my laptop keeps taking over the phone calls and I’m then left trying to switch it back but that doesn’t always work resulting in me having to disable Bluetooth on the laptop to get the call back onto my phone

It’s good but needs fixing. I have an iPhone, and so far everything on the app is satisfactory and I’m happy with it to be honest. But whenever I connect earphones or Bluetooth headphones to my computer and attempt to make a call, it glitches and call goes back to my phone? I am not sure If this is an error or it does not work this way or if it is just me but please consider fixing. Thanks

Phone link. Very good interface, but there are some problems. It can go around. like no access to my contact, I have to do it manually, and there are sync and share file problems. It is not like Apple, where I can navigate from mac to phone with drag and drop or other features. I hope to get better

Phone Link - Good but could be better. Better than 3 stars not quite 4. Functionality could be better. But for basic messaging it’s good. Saves finding the phone to send an sms. Just a bit too limited though.

Great App (most of the time). Works well as a connection between my PC and iPhone, sometimes I have to restart and the handoff can be a little clunky but that’s likely an iOS issue as much as anything. More integration with 365 would be appreciated but overall it’s a great app for productivity and a vast improvement over the Intel version.

Useful app for work/education. Microsoft phone link allows you to message and call from your laptop or computer without using your phone! Quite useful for when you’re in a busy environment. It may have some issues at first like not being able to connect with Bluetooth at certain times but overall, 4.7!

Glad this exists - looking for the next release. Phone Link is good. I use it primarily for messages, but it picks up my phone calls and offers the option to take them on my pc without having ever got in the way (this is positive and harder than it sounds!). I wish it updated the sync to include all my messages, not just ones when connected. The interface is adequate but a bit bare - maybe it needs contacts too??

Amazing application. I’m absolutely thrilled with this application! As an iPhone user, it’s been a game-changer, allowing me to seamlessly integrate messaging and calling functionalities with my Windows PC. This has significantly streamlined my daily tasks, making everything more efficient and connected. The convenience of managing communications directly from my computer, without the need to constantly switch between devices, has greatly enhanced my productivity and overall digital experience. This application has truly bridged the gap between my phone and PC, and I couldn’t be happier with how it has improved my workflow and connectivity. Looking ahead, it would be fantastic to see more functionalities added. Expanding its capabilities could offer even greater utility, catering to a broader set of needs and preferences. Advanced file sharing options, improved app mirroring capabilities, deeper integration with productivity and social apps, or enhanced security measures are just a few possibilities that could make this tool even more indispensable. The prospect of such advancements is exciting, as they promise to bring about greater connectivity and convenience, further enriching our digital ecosystem.

Decent. Pretty good for using iPhone with PC but has an annoying habit of switching audio over to my PC during calls - e.g. I’m on a call with my phone, then all of a sudden I have no audio, because it’s switched to PC. So I have to switch back to phone, apologise and resume…. Then it does it again 2 minutes later. Don’t really need it for calls, just text based comms.

Horrible. Can’t even see messages properly from iPhone. I’ve never used such an incomplete waste of an app. And this is made by a multi-trillion dollar company. Unbelievable

Handy but unreliable for iPhone. I love this concept and it is handy, but it often doesn’t update fast enough or misses message history when reconnecting. When using at half size the reader is often cutoff.

Really good but can be improved. Only issue is that the notifications don’t always show and the connection is sometimes suspect. But it’s still good

Inconsistent and not all features work. When I moved from an Apple environment to PC, I was happy to hear about this app. However, that happiness quickly evaporated when I realized it doesn’t really work. It crashes. It doesn’t allow me to text from my PC or smartphone. It controls my calls whenever I am using my smartphone even though I don’t initiate the call from the PC. It could be good, but it doesn’t live up to what you need.

App no longer works with iPhone. This app used to work beautifully but no longer works with iPhones. Please fix it.

not working. i can't send files from my PC to my iPhone and it doesn't always works!

Buggy junk app. Stalls out in all features

Great to be totally connected. I really enjoy the fact that I can see messages on my iPhone and save files received on my PC. Sending and receiving files is now seamless. I routinely accept texted receipts which I can instantly file on my PC. Integrated approach is superb!

Humdrum. It works for typing only, contact names don’t appear only the number, you cannot copy and paste as you want. Needs work.

It’s a great time saver. It has long been a frustration to move data between my windows, computer, and my iPhone. The phone Linked app makes this a lot easier! I sure wish it would also allow me to put in images and attachments.

Doesn’t even work. Doesn’t show as even connected to a PC (even tho I’ve connected it multiple times). The support page is the most useless piece of junk with nothing helpful.

Link to windows. Excellent

Finally! Windows and Apple working together seamlessly!. After my MacBook went in the fritz, I switched back to Microsoft Windows computer. I was so accustomed to my phone and laptop syncing with each other (texts, etc) that when I lost that function, I was lost… I am so extremely happy that Apple is now supported on Phone Link! I personally have no issues other than the occasional lag, but that’s to be expected when something is so new. Great job!!

Apps not work. Same issue as others, try to pair the device with Bluetooth and forever scanning. Developer please look into the issue, but not asking us to get the latest version.

What works. Phone Calls and Solo text inboxes on iphone….what we want to see: Total integration, forgetting platform differences.

App not working. Phone link does not transfer my calls to the computer. And I am using a hardwired headset.

Good app. This is so easy to connect to my computer Great app buy this.

Great item and looking for more. So far I am really just observing how this service operates on my computer. I did try to transfer the phone over to the computer but I lost the voice. My caller could not hear me. So I haven’t done that again but I need to experiment to find out why it didn’t work. I am a little reluctant to just go and use it outright right now as most of my phone calls are fairly important and I don’t want to lose them. I wish that I had access to my online photos along with the service. It would make it much more useful since the photos and the iPhone are such a significant part of my life.for example I am writing letters to people or or instruction manuals and screenshots or pictures on my iPhone would be immediately accessible if I could just drag them over into the text that I’m writing on the computer. Thank you for creating this wonderful service

Application qui fonctionne mal sur Windows 10. L’appli me demande de faire la mise à jour mais la mise à jour jour ne se fait pas.

Very helpful. Enjoying phone links functions, makes running my business communications so much easier when in office doing computer work! Super impressed.

Bugs out way too frequently. This app has so much potential. But all too often, it ceases to communicate with my phone and I spend literal hours trying to troubleshoot. At some point it magically starts working again. I’ve changed phones in the meantime, so I know it’s not a problem with the phone. Also spent lots of time with my laptop tech support and they weren’t able to help either. Very frustrating! Edit: the developer has responded and asked that I share a screenshot/ video of the issue. I sent one (several, actually) about a year ago but the issue was never fixed. I don’t know if they even looked at the video.

Good start on Phone Link but much work to be done. Microsoft has done a good job on providing partial functionality when texting from the desktop. There are many limitations that prevent this from being an overall adequate solution but I can appreciate that much of this is caused by the Apple “walled garden”. Some functionality is better than nothing but I hope more progress can be made quickly to attain feature parity across platforms.

not working. i’m trying to connect my iphone and i am stuck on the connecting screen. I have tried everything

Not good. Connection is unstable. Doesn’t support groups or attachments.

Useless phone link. Impossible to send any photos or videos to my iphone

Rich. Abcd

The app is kot functioning properly. Waste of time

Communication. Works great on my computer and easier to use a computer keyboard versus using my thumbs.

Not there yet. Was on with microsoft and they could not figure out how to make the messages appear . The calls showed but no messages . It needs a lot of work . It does sometimes work but imo it should not be that hard to set up and it should always work

Incomplete. Why offer a product that can only do half of the things it should do. Can’t see images? Can’t start a new thread? Why? Why bother?

Phone Link. Works well; a little tricky to set up.

Good but could be better. Text messages are frequently not received in a timely fashion or not at all. Notifications too can be slow, so things like 2 step verifications I have to read off my phone and enter onto my pc instead reading my windows notification.

Connect with pc. In general, everything works fine, not counting the newly added function, namely dropping images, I took all the steps, searched for information on the Internet, reinstalled applications, but the maximum I achieved is that my iPhone swears that I have an old version on my PC, although this is not so

Pretty good, but needs feature to play music on phone through the computer speakers. This is a good program, but one big improvement would be to allow users to play music that is on their phone (I.e. in iTunes library) through the computer speakers.

Love the access to my phone…. Absolutely love the access to my phone, your service is essential. I’d pay $ for to get to view images!

Trent Miller. Like

Needs update!. After scanning the code, it’s stuck on the loading screen. I’ve tried the method you guys recommending to others reviewers.

Love it!. So great to text from my PC. Finally! Disconnects from Bluetooth frequently, but all in all, very happy!

Phone link APP. It is a very reliable and easy to use app and very stable. It mad my life much practical and saved me lots of time doing my work

Can’t connect after scan the code when paring.. This is officially supported iPhone?

Calling features need work. I have yet to be able to dial out from the PC. When I take the phone call through the PC it takes a long time to transfer from phone to PC and some times does not bring audio over on first try. This leaves person in other end hanging with no responses heard from me or vice versa. If this could be fixed up I want love this app. I have made sure I’m on the latest PC APP VER, the latest phone app vers. and latest iOS vers. I am running Windows 10 though not sure if that is the cause of the phone call feature issues.

Easy. Easy to type sms on cpu!

Worthless Garbage. Simply doesn’t work. Can’t Microsoft afford to buy some iPhones for its testing team?

Doesn't work for Canadians. Bottom of the barrel service for Canadians yet again...

File transfer. Mobile

Could use improvement. I like using the app for typing out text messages. A problem it has is when composing a message and you receive a message at the same time, it interrupts your typing to show you the new message. Definitely frustrating but hoping this can be fixed seeing as this is the only app available

Très pratique. J’aime beaucoup l’app Puisque je laisse mon cell ds maison un peu partout, ça me facilite de savoir qui apelle qd je suis au bureau

Microsoft doesn’t seems care about this app. Developers please do an update, you guys know that this app doesn’t work for most of people. So instead of answering us the same robotic answer each time, please do some real actions by solving the Bluetooth screen get stuck problem!

Don’t waste your time downloading this App.. And BTE, do you think that the Price-Anderson Act should be extended to Microsoft? They are not a utility that serves the public with electricity. Their just a soulless for-profit money-grubbing corporation. When Three Mile Island has its next nuclear “accident”, should Microsoft be protected by the federal goverment from lawsuits arising from their nuclear neglect. Let’s remember, Microsoft has ZERO experience, running, maintaining, protecting, or complying to regulations of nuclear power plants. Yet the politicians of a particular stripe in Pennsyltucky can’t wait to get their pockets lined by Microsoft to put the populace at risk with no recourse for Microsoft’s future colossal and catastrophic safety failures.

Home office use. Works great to initiate or take calls on my PC. I don’t give it 5 stars because it is important to know with any voice device whether you’re coming across loud and clear, and Phone Link does not provide any obvious clues or help. Is it using my laptop built-in mic or the clip-on camera mic that sits on my external monitors? People tell me they hear me much better when I transfer the call to my iPhone.

Review. It was working fine and broke this morning. Struggling with debug/troubleshoot While has been working well, it doesn’t regularly cope with pictures, either transmitting or receiving. That said, I would pay for this app based on my experience. Second time you asked and I am adding to my previous review. The app doesn’t accept pictures or pasted snips either for transmission or receiving.

Something y’all need to add. You need to add the feature where you can monitor your playing your phone on the computer because the reason why I downloaded it is because so I can so it shows I’m playing Minecraft, but I don’t want to pay for like a lot of money just to play bedrock when it cost eight dollars on Phone and also you can text group chat and also add the feature to FaceTime only two certain models that the cameras are good

Ineffectual, vapid garbage. I’m sure that the team who developed this app already felt some type of way about it. The project managers and team responsible for this app specifically are probably some of the least talented engineers working at Microsoft. This app doesn’t work. Bluetooth pairing is a nightmare. I can tell that this was developed in an echo chamber for windows users. Honestly, I don’t know why I trust Microsoft software anymore. This from the same publisher, who can’t even figure out how to design a right click menu, let alone an entire interface for windows 11 who still has design elements holdovers from windows 95.

I applaud 👏 MSFT for creating this but not sure it’s a good idea. I applaud 👏 MSFT for creating this but not sure it’s a good idea. First of all Apple products are built with privacy and security in mind. Windows products = NO. Windows products are ridiculously insecure so much so the antivirus and IT security business is a $200,000,000,000 industry. Antivirus companies came into being in large part because of how insecure MSFT products are. So now you want me to put my IOS secure stuff on to a Windows product? I would seriously consider if you want MSFT having access to all your iOS data before executing this app.

Improved but still some way to go. The app is a lot more stable than it was a mere 3 months ago, when it was plagued with random disconnects and sluggishness. It has gone from “ugh” to something I use regularly. It would benefit from being able to join mid conversation (eg if I’m on phone then go back to desktop continue what I was doing from desktop), as well as temporary muting or grouping of message sources (eg when my lawn maintenance comes there are a hundred messages from the camera that “there is motion”)

Doesnt Really Work In Any Meaningful Way. Was excited to get an iMessage like app for my Windows PC. I understood it would have limited functionality as its relatively new, but even the limited functionality doesnt work. Messages dont really appear in the the app on my computer. For example, in a conversation with ~10 messages, you might actually see 2 or 3 of them, and thats only while being connected to your computer via bluetooth. In the app on my iPhone, it wont even detect that Im connected to my Windows machine, despite the app on the computer clearly dosplayine device name, battery level, and one or two iMessages.

A lot of potential. Finally I can text friends on iMessage thru my Windows laptop! There are some pretty major issues that need bug fixing, such as the error that happens when bluetooth mode is toggled on/off on phone or laptop… it basically needs to be reconnected from scratch instead of auto connecting again. But there is a lot of potential and I look forward to using this app in the future, especially as iPhones use USB-C!

Needs support for group texts. I love that I can use my work laptop, which is a PC to text. It makes things really simple and straightforward. I really do wish, though, that there was support for group texting on this platform. I am on multiple group text threads and things never work properly and I end up missing out on conversations because this feature is not present. This would be five out of five stars if group texting existed! (And if it does and I just don’t know about it, the developers should make the option more prominent!)

I learned and happy. At first it was not clear but now the voice is clear on my computer took me a while to learn how to link it but yeah it’s working perfectly now I can make calls and I get all my emails and everything it’ll come in handy when my phone crashes, then at least I can make phone calls from my computer with all my contacts in there.

Good, free, app in windows 11!. I really appreciate the functionality of this free app. Now that I’m using it, I really enjoy being able to write texts from my desktop instead of on my phone! It really eliminates all the inconvenience of having to switch attention from phone to desktop and back. Also, it doesn’t sync with your phone so your texts remain secure.

Like, but hoping for improvements. I have an iPhone 15 Pro. I love the idea of Phone Link. I enjoy seeing my texts on screen and being able to respond with a real keyboard. I have seen a few areas I would like improved: 1. The mic doesn’t work with Phone Link. I can hear calls through the computer speaker, but cannot talk back through my internal mic or webcam mic (Logitech c920). 2. I tried to send a GIF but got a message stating it was unsupported. 3. Sometimes I answer the phone physically, but Phone Link keeps ringing through my computer. 4. It often takes several tries to connect to Phone Link. When Phone Link is working correctly I enjoy using the app. I’m glad someone created the App. I’m looking forward to more improvements in future versions.

Doesn’t mirror iPhone, kinda gimmicky. I don’t really get the point of this app in its current iteration. I cannot seamlessly move from my iphone to my PC, which is the point of Apple’s iMessages app on their Macs. With Phonelink, messages don’t sync at all. I also hate that when I’m on a call on my phone, the Phonelink app physically covers what I’m doing on my PC screen. Even if the app is minimized, it is in the way. If you try to close it, it ends the call. The Phonelink app shouldn’t show up at all on my pc screen if I’m not using it to make a call. I guess the only nice thing about it is if my phone isn’t nearby but my PC is, I can send a text or make a call. Other than that, it’s pretty useless.

Not ready.. Great concept, and something many of us have been wanting for a long time, but it’s not ready. As others have said, there are still too many bugs to be truly functional. Can send messages (one at a time; no group messages) through my computer but only receive replies on my iPhone. The messages I send once are sometimes received by the recipient multiple times. Very limited in overall capability. Will be deleting for now and trying again in the future to see if improvements have been made.

Glitches. I’m so glad there is an iPhone link app on windows now! It has seriously been so helpful for my work. However, there are still little problems. Sometimes the iPhone link won’t open for me at all. It seems to work properly at random. When it is open, it doesn’t show all of my current texts and if I look up a particular text stream, it won’t display the previous messages sent (unless they were sent using the link). Looking forward to seeing how it continues to improve!

Phone Link is good for what it does. Disappointing for omissions and conflicts.. For simple text message Phone Link is helpful. However the inability to handle group texts (even with just two recipients) is frustrating. Many messages are not received by the PC if the phone is not connected when they arrive limiting context. It would also be nice to see better handling of attachments. Phobe Link also creates conflicts with AirPods as the phone connects (via Bluetooth) to the computer instead of the headphones. Other BT headphones work better.

Messes up Bluetooth. There is a bug where when my phone’s Bluetooth is connected to my computer via this app, it causes any other Bluetooth devices connected to my phone to have an unstable connection. I had my beats connected and their audio would skip every half second or so. I disconnected my phone from my computer and it fixed the problem. The app itself works okay. Sometimes the other person’s messages don’t show up in the desktop window. Once this is fixed I will definitely use the app.

Doesn’t work with PC and iPhone. The phone sync on the PC doesn’t work with the iPhone. Will get stuck during sync, and not all contacts will sync, so most of the names display as phone numbers. I can only send messages via phone sync but will not receive them. No notifications come through either. I understand it’s still in beta, but it’s not even close to what it claims to be in the store, at least with iPhone. Love the idea and would use it all the time if it got to a working status.

Phone link. I love the phone link, I am a student and spend a significant amount of time on my laptop. The phone link allows me to continue working in my class without having to stop and get my phone when I get a call or text. I can see who is trying to reach me and choose if I want to quickly respond or ignore it and get on with my work.

Very useful. Could use a bit more polish.. This is a super useful app. I use it regularly to send and receive texts from my phone, and to be notified on my PC when I have a new text on my phone. It does have some limitations, though: - Only shows recent texts from recent conversations. Doesn’t show senders who haven’t texted since I started using the app. - Doesn’t show (nor generate) link previews. So when I send a link, the receiver’s iPhone just shows a little box with the domain name.

OK...but.... I think that this is the early days for this app. It needs more features. It would be nice to see the contract list with more info. The search is OK. The call quality --I don't know if this is an issue with the link software or my computer--I was just on a call and the other party was hearing their own voice echoing. We tried again just using the phone and the quality was much better. So, the app is reasonably good but it needs to go further.

At first you are excited…then you answer a call.. So call routing is clunky and computer takes over when it thinks it should. It would also be nice to have a tighter proximity for when you are to far from the computer to reasonably manage a call. So far it is good being pc to phone connection. Had better integrations with BlackBerry back in the day. This should not be that hard.

Not able to send messages. Not able to send messages for some contacts. I don’t know what the reason is. I can see the contact and type a message but can’t deliver it from the desktop app. I can send a message to the same contact from my phone. Also this app is very limited. I would like to see a lot more functions available. It would be great if I can download pictures etc. Being able to message from my pc is nice but it does not work for all contacts so very limited use and at this point of release of the app is a little bit a waist of effort and time for the user.

Not perfect, but worth it. Improving quickly!. Never reviewed an app before, but this has compelled me to! Microsoft is trying their best to disrupt the artificially isolated Apple ecosystem. The reason text group chats are so difficult, for example, is soley because Apple SMS chooses it to be incompatible. I installed this a while ago and it was buggy, unresponsive, and only slightly useful. A month or two later and the performance/reliability has seemingly doubled. Definitely worth keeping an eye on!

Can’t connect iPhone 14 Pro to Samsung PC. I tried for hours to connect this app with my iPhone 14 to my Samsung PC and it will it work. I deleted and reinstalled several times and it still says “PC will connect when in range.” My PC is literally right here on my lap. The app on my Pc is connected to my iPhone but I can’t get the audio to come from my PC. I can text, answer, receive notifications but no audio. I would love this app for my line of work but IT SHOULDNT BE THIS HARD!!! I will delete it for now and pray it works for me in about 6 months😏

It’s almost perfect!. I love using phone link, and I love using my iPhone, I have noticed, however that from time to time the phone link will not arrive at my desktop. Moreover, it will also not show the most up-to-date text messages. however, whenever I need to make phone calls going outbound, I cannot be so thankful enough to have a device that works perfectly whether I use my PC or my iPhone.

Phone link. Has its flaws, in order to make it fully work somewhat u hav to allow access for all kinds of programs. I went thru all my related programs n allowed access n then it worked. Not even sure which ones needed access so I did a lot of them. Wen it works it’s kool. At this point it works well with a month into it. Has its flaws but it works well just as I wanted it to. I’d download it n mess with it again. 😎

Not easy enough. I tried installing this a few months ago to no avail. so I decided to try a second time. I gave it two stars because I don’t hate the app. I love the concept I just don’t like the quality. For me, two stars equals don’t like. Brief troubleshooting steps below. Forgot the Bluetooth connection on my phone and PC re-attempted connection three times. Every time, the app would time out before the PC. In one case, the PC got connected with the phone was reading, not connected. In short, not easy enough; do not attempt.

Not great, not terrible. I appreciate that this exists as having some iMessage capability on PC is better than none at all, though it does come with its share of jank. I’m also surprised with the frequency and enjoyment of using this despite my initial skepticism when I first read about how the integration worked. The downsides are that texts sent directly from your phone won’t show up in the app, and it seems to regularly struggle with reconnecting after my PC wakes from sleep. Hoping these improve with time.

Works with some limitations. Useful to be able to send text and receive most texts through it. One thing it cannot do is display a conversation thread with more than one individual from what I’ve seen. I also have to keep it minimized on my taskbar. If I do not, it will not work. I just have to keep it minimized. Also, if I receive a call on my phone for say zoom, it pops up on the PC and asked if I want to take the call there, if I say no, it doesn’t leave it on my phone

Good but not great. Been using different iterations of this since Microsoft first released it years ago. This version of the app seems to do a better job keeping your phone connected to your PC. But being an iPhone, there are limitations. I’m hoping at some point Microsoft can figure out a way to deliver an experience on Windows that more closely resembles iMessage than what it currently does, such as support for group messaging, reactions, media previews, etc. But I suppose it gets the job done in a pinch.

Good but could be better. I like the features offered by this software however, it doesn’t work consistently enough of the time. My desktop loses connection with my iPhone and the call is still going on so I have to go to the phone when that happens. Not all text messages or phone calls are on my screen, so it’s hard to follow up from there 100% of the time. Not sure if it’s a software issue on my desktop or the software itself but it does happen and that’s why I give this only three out of five stars.

Good for what it is. I never imagined that the ability to sync your iPhone with Windows would be a thing but here it is. Its nice to use from time to time but there are some obvious items that will need to be addressed before its great. I occasionally ha e issues with talking on the phone through my windows device and have to switch to my phone. Minor inconvenience but one nonetheless. The texts dont always show up but are great when they do. I urge Microsoft to continue to improve it. Getting close to great once those items have been made better.

A true game changer. If someone had predicted 50 years ago we would conduct business with one finger on a tiny screen, everyone would have laughed. That has been the worst part of my job Then a friend introduced me to Phone Link. What a blessing to be able to use my large monitor and regular keyboard. Wish I had found this years ago.

Great app but one suggestion. The app is great; I’ve had no issues. I do have one suggestion, though: you should add an option that allows you to remotely put your computer to sleep, shut down, or restart. There have been so many times where I was doing something that I could not pause when I remembered that my computer was still on.

Send and receive made easy. Phone link was recommended to me by my brother. While playing games I no longer have to pay attention to my phone and I don’t have to worry that I am wrapped up in the game and missing a call or text. It’s also allows me to unclutter my desk and use a keyboard to send messages. Been using it for a few weeks now and still love it. Definitely a gotta have app

Needs Improvement. This app works but it is NOT intuitive on how to get iPhone connected. Once it’s connected you can take calls, send/receive texts, and see all phone notifications. It’s a big help. BUT, it separates all group chats into individual text messages. So if you respond on your laptop, it will just send the response to the individual and not the group. Minus one star for difficult setup. Minus one star for bad user interface with iPhone.

Finally. My PC came with a similar product that never worked. This product works! It is so helpful to get my messages to popup on my laptop instead of making me run to my iPhone. The ability to send texts from my PC has been very helpful. It beats sending an email so can open it on my phone and then copy and past to send a text.

Closest we’ll get to iMessage on pc!. This is perfect! Wish I would have known about this years ago. This app lets you connect your iPhone to your windows computer via Bluetooth, granted your pc motherboard has Bluetooth, or you have a BT dongle to plug into your pc to grant BT capability. Allow your phone to share contacts and notifications, voila! You get to text your friends and family from your pc.

Is a little limited but is very convenient. Has some limitations that are a little annoying like not being able to text a group chat or send/receive images/files, but overall very convenient for sending texts to an individual person or looking at your notifications without picking up your phone

AirPod problems?. This app has been working for me for the most part. It does what I need it to do. Setting it up was a pain but there was a good amount of user error on my part. However, ever since I’ve installed it, I’ve had issues with my AirPod pros not connecting to my phone automatically like it used to while my phone is linked to my computer. I’m not 100% sure that’s the issue but nothing else has really changed on my phone since the issues started

First app that actually works with pc and IPhone. I am really enjoying this app. I have searched for many apps that will allow me to send texts on my IPhone from my PC computer. Many have said they can do but this is the first that can actually do it. I have to restart the program every now and then to get it to sync correctly, but that is a small price to pay for a program that works.

Valuable tool but doesn’t always work.. I spend much of my day in front of a desktop computer making it inconvenient to pull out my phone every time a text comes in that need to respond to. Also, because I’m on a PC I often want to send a text with a link directly from my computer. This app makes that easy. My only complaint is that it doesn’t always work, which can be frustrating.

App works fine, when it decides to work.. This app works fine, when it decides to work at all. When I rebooted my computer yesterday, the app suddenly decided to stop working until this morning. It was only after several minutes of troubleshooting, that the app started working again. As someone who came from the Apple world, Apple's iMessage is much more seamless. If my insanely expensive Apple computer had not died on me, I would still be in the Apple ecosystem.

Still needs a lot of work.. So I have an iPhone and I have been having nothing but problems connecting properly. It connected my phone to my computer Bluetooth not a problem. I received notifications from my phone without a problem. What I don’t get is my call history or my message history. it always tells me we weren’t able to connect to your mobile device and then gives me instructions for logging in and logging off to set up.

Finally mostly reliable now.. Up until now the connection between the iPhone and desktop was very iffy at best. It still needs some thing done to the app to make it reconnect when the iPhone comes back into range of the desktop. It does work a lot of the time, but sometimes I have had to turn Bluetooth off and on on both devices to connect again.

Very Useful. The phone link is great and beneficial when you spend a lot of time working on the PC. However, my main issue is that you cannot transfer calls to PC from iPhone because they cannot hear you. Also, you cannot view the face time call on there either. It would be extremely beneficial if you could at least stream it from the phone and hearing can go both ways. Overall, it’s a great tool.

The software works but glitchy. I was able to get my emails and messages with any problems. I also like I can use my internet on my phone with my laptop. The interface is very good and easy to use. I can transfer files to my iPhone to a windows laptop. One bad thing, when I haven’t sync my phone and laptop in a day I will get a ton of messages on my screen from my phone even when I have previously deleted them. Please fix the glitch.

It’s ok 5/10. It works and it’s nice but there are some clear issues. 1) I don’t always get texts come through. I noticed text in quick succession don’t come through. 2) no pictures or gifs can be sent through. 3) sometimes notifications don’t come through. It’s probably because it’s connected through Bluetooth. The point is it’s not as seamless and using a mac is. And There’s nothing wrong with that because I’m surprised this is an option in the first place but it clearly needs some work still.
