Horrible app. I am constantly late getting up due to this app not working on a consistent basis. Sony ought to be ashamed for putting out a product that used an app that clearly has major issues! If I had known this was not going to have the bugs worked out by now, NEVER would have bought the docking station.

Orphaned App. It's a shame that a company like Sony, once a leader in Consumer Electronics has let this app go into oblivion. My iPhone 6+ will not play upon insetting into the adapter then insetting into the deck. After pressing on/off, audio in, mode, iPod&iPhone, OFF in some random order, then stopping and restarting my phone maybe I'll get some music. If the app were updated to iOS 10.3 I doubt I'd be having this issue. It's shame seeing apps left by the wayside, no longer supported due to other profitable projects within a company. And no I will not be buying a 4K Sony DSLR, nor will I buy a Sony OLED TV. There are better products for less money available. The savvy Consumer has spoken with his checkbook once again!

Good for Clock/Playback, No Phone or Messaging Support. I love the clock features, and the playback is very good. However, I'm using it with an iPhone, and I expect to hear my ringtones or message alert when I get one. I've missed multiple calls because the clock overrides EVERYTHING having to do with the iPhone capability. I'm looking for another app that will alert me to incoming calls and messages.

App Update needed!!. The dream machine worked great.. but the past week for some odd reason my alarm isn't working right, the machine itself is saying my alarm is going off.. but no sound!! But can play my music on the thing and it's fine! It keeps telling me it needs an update on the app. Maybe that's what is wrong!? Help!!

This Accessory May Not Be Supported. Used to work fine. Now this error message keeps lighting up all night. I have only had this since Christmas so I am a little ticked that updates are not fixing this. It recharges my phone and serves as a separate clock but that is about it. Please fix!

Aweful App. Sleep player is useless because it does not have a separate volume from the alarm. So, if you play your music low when going to sleep, the alarm music will be set to the same low volume. Duh! The alarm wake to music will not play the song selected. Instead, it will play whatever song was being played last in the iPod music app. When you plug the phone into the doc, it does not start the app. So if you forget to start the app and push the setting to the clock, the alarm won't go off. Overall, the Sony clock provides a power charging hookup and a clock I can see at night. Nothing else useful from the standard iPhone alarm.

Update. When I plug my phone in, it tells me that I can't use my ihome to charge my phone. There should be an update.

Shame on you Sony. This app doesn't even deserve the time to write review for it. Total abandonment from Sony. No updates, no customer support, nothing. When you buy a new dab fm dock you expect it to work with the app provided. I can't change the names of the stations. The app is extremely buggy and ugly. Sony sent me email to leave review about the product. I left one and few days later they told me the review won't be published, because it describes customer service. And they don't want this…

Pretty Good. This app has some very nice clock modes that make the iPhone look and work great when docked (even when not on a Sony device.) It has some very good functionality with Sony devices too, being able to play music, display & set alarms, adjust radio stations, and more.

Has not been updated in years. I own the speakers and they still work and I use it still everyday but it's not updated for iOS 10. Hopefully they can update the app sometime.

Not much to it. Basically, the purpose of this app is to sync the time to your Sony iPhone/iPad/iPod sound dock. It does what it needs to do, and nothing more. I grew concerned that they wouldn't update the app to work with iOS 10, as it had gone for 4 years without any updates. Fortunately, Sony FINALLY updated the app.

Does not work with IOS 10.. While its user interface is disappointing, I've enjoyed programming my Sony alarm clock using the app rather than the alarm clock's buttons. But it does not work since upgrading to IOS 10. Hopefully they will fix the app soon.

Well worth the price. But seriously, it’s nice to have a sweep second hand, in Classic Black the battery doesn’t take a hit. Enough of the features work with the un-listed Sony earbuds I use, like timers, etc. But what I really like is that when the clock is on display the phone doesn’t lock. That can be handy. It temporarily overrides the settings time-out. Once you switch apps, your auto-lock setting kicks back in. But like I indicated, in Classic Black it can be left on top all night and in the morning the battery hasn’t really lost percentage.

Won't sync after iOS 8.4 update. I have an iPhone 6+ with an older 30 pin alarm. I used the Apple 30 pin to FireWire adapter and it worked fine. Then I upgraded to iOS 8.4 and it no longer synced. After reinstalling it, it works. I docked it before using the app 1st time.

Great app to go with Sony Home center. App always worked great and I never had to worry about missing an alarm. Thank you!

Great Idea, needs work. Very buggy with my new iPhone 5. Alarm feature is now unreliable and makes my Sony docking station nearly useless. Besides the general reliability fix, I would like to see an update that would allow undocked alarm programming.

Does what it’s supposed to do. I don’t understand the low ratings and complaints, this is just a complimentary app that Sony made for the iPhone and the ICF-CS15iPN to communicate with each other, (works great on my iPhone 6) no it doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles, what do you want it to do? play movies and balance your checkbook? It’s fine for what it does. I do wish the app were easier to find and had a name that made a little more sense but that’s splitting hairs.

Over a year since app update. Unacceptable. People we need to take this to the CEO of Sony, as no action is being taken by the numerous reviews of the problems & bugs. The latest for me is when docking the iPhone a msg says "This device may not be supported". Pretty ridiculous to buy a piece of electronics with it's sole function being iPhone compatible. The app hangs when it's focus is switched. The problems with the volume & song control, etc. will start a website and put link here where we can all voice our complaints & get them to the right ears!!

Are there any updates?. I find it hard to understand how a company like Sony can drop the ball like they did on this app. Why is it that I have to go to Music to restart a song after it has stopped playing after the sleep timer has ended?

No Longer Works. I had this alarm clock for not even a year before the app stopped working. They stopped updating it and now my phone doesn't charge or play music when plugged into the port. I had to delete the app because it was in fact slowing my phone down.

Works with iPhone X. I used this with my iPhone 4 on a Sony radio. Recently purchased the lightning adapter (only works with official oem Apple adapter) and it works perfectly with my iPhone X. My only complaint is I’d like to program each day of the week for waking up to a different song each morning and it only lets me select weekly. Needs an update as I don’t want to wake up to the same song every morning.

Please Fix this. I loved playing music on my docking station!! I was disappointed when my iPhone 6 said that this device was no longer supported after I updated to iOS 9. I have waited and waited to get an update to allow me to use this, I have cleaned all connectors. My docking station is now just a super big and expensive phone charger. Please please fix this.

Fine.. The app works fine for me. I honestly think it's kinda pointless though. Anything you can do in the app I could do on my dock.

It woke me up for awhile..... The alarm clock function stopped working. If acts like it's there but now won't turn on the docking station. I have been late because of this as I depended on it for an alarm. Sony fix this problem. I have it installed on two iPhones and am iPad.

Unable to charge my Apple 5 phone. I have a apple 5 iPhone w/ the lightening connection. My phone does not charge when is docked on my sony clock radio ICF-CS151iPN) . My alarm works, but when I wake in the morning my phone has not charged. My phone will charge on other docking stations. Will someone at sony please update is app! It has been over a year since the last update. I will buy a Sony product like this again.

Really Disappointed. I agree with everything said here... It was working great.... Then, last week, it suddenly stopped working with my 4S?? I've tried all the bug fixes only to learn that it's this darned app. Save your money and the headache!!! Two months in, and I'm headed straight to the Apple store! Should've done that to begin with...

They have not updated this software for IOS 8. If you purchased a Sony IPhone/IPad docking product and they require you to use this d-sappli app to make it work correctly (for sounding alarms, etc.), return the product because this software doesn’t work with IOS 8. It effectively bricks the Sony docking station for any IOS 8 device alarm clock functionality. Bluetooth and Playing music while docked still works, but you will not be able to use any alarm clock. Repeated emails to Sony have been ineffective. Better to buy the iHome products - at least they work.

Problems. Two problems with this APP that Sony denies is their problems. 1. When docked it disables my "Do Not Disturb" feature on the I-Phone5. And 2nd it does not allow you to select music you desire in the sleep timer. Sony needs to fix these two bugs. Has anyone else experienced the disabling of the "Do Not Disturb" featured when docked? I would like to know.

Awesome app. Very useful app I love using my docking station with it It would be nice if you have the ability to change the color of the clocks on all operating system platforms it would be a nice improvement

It only works in some ways.. I use a Sony dock system and it amplifies my music just fine. The alarm is what I have a problem with. The volume was a pain to fix, because it would play so quietly it would never wake me up. My solution for that was go to the iPod settings and not allow alarm volume to be messed with by the buttons. However, my new problem is with the snooze function. When I press snooze, the app will immediately lock up and not wake me up 5 minutes later.

Was simple & great! Now, not so much.... This app has worked well through all the updates and iPhones since getting my Sony clock radio when I had a iPhone 4. I am now having problems with iOS9. When I dock the alarm settings don't display anymore so I have to adjust the alarm on the radio which takes me back to an interface developed in the 70's. Seems like Sony could keep a current app that would work with all their products. Can't imagine it would take much resources to do. As FYI; I've deleted and reinstalled several times - once in a while it would work for a couple days.

iOS update issues. Since the latest iOS updates came out, the app's performance has been spotty in a way it never was before the updates. The app will DISPLAY as if it's sounding the alarm, but the docking station wont play any sound.

IOS 9 - Dream (Nightmare) Machine and iPhone 4S. Since updating to IOS 9 (now 9.1 as I write) the wonderful features of this app (auto Time sync, set alarms, tune stations etc) are no longer working. So the journey began, contacted Sony Technical Support - their suggestions: try cleaning terminals, try resetting both phone and dock, still no luck - "This accessory is not supported on your iPhone”. Sony Tech Support final advice - call Apple, they made the change on their side. So, as futile as you would assume it was going to be, I contact Apple Support. Again, similar rhetoric, we don’t support 3rd Party Applications or devices - best bet is to contact Sony and request an app update. So, contacted Sony support again, spoke to an agent who explains they have no way to contact Sony Engineering, best advice, put something on the Customer forums and hope the community can advise a fix. I now have a very expensive cook radio next to my bed that is unable to sync, play music or program from my phone - hence the 1 star. If there was a lower rating I would give it - very poor support from, what I thought, a reputable company with quality products!

Support update needed. I have had this app to go with my dock for several years and it has worked wonderfully it to now!! Please get iOS 11 support!! This app is my primary alarm and at home program. Please hurry!!

App no longer operates. I bought this docking system for my iPhone 3s but now that I have an iPhone 5c even if I try using an official 30 pin to lightning adapter, the D-Sappli app does not allow me to set the alarm, change the time setting, or set any music or radio stations. All i can do now is charge my phone. This app makes my Sony dock useless. I am disappointed because I invested a lot of money in this system but have not been able to keep it operational since the March 2014 update. At that time even with the 3s, the alarm was not reliable, I cannot use the remote, and now the 5c won't change to the alarm and radio station setting screen. It only displays the time on the phone, not allowing me to sinc to my dock.

To the users who got it before today's update. I really hope this update helped all of you fellow Sony alarm clock buyers . This app works great for me even with IOS 6.

Lightning connector version works with iPhone 5. I'm sorry that others have had trouble with the 30-pin version of the ICF-CS15iPN. I do not doubt their experiences trying to work through the 30-pin-to-Lightning adapter. I know it has some limitations and have experienced them myself in other situations. My experience with the D-Sappli app has been positive. When I placed my iPhone 5 on the dock, it displayed a message that I needed the D-Sappli app and offered to take me to the iTunes Store. I consented, and was, understandably, distressed to see the low ratings on the app. I downloaded it anyway and was pleasantly surprised. It asked if I wanted to sync the dock's time with my iPhone's and after I agreed, it did so flawlessly. Then I set the dock's 2 alarms using the app and tapped "send"—and they both updated on the dock. So far everything seems to work as intended. Perhaps the adapter is the problem rather than the app.

Ugh. I've tried this app in conjunction with my phone and the docking station. I'm trying very hard to put into words my feelings on this app that will effectively convey my feelings and will get this review past Apple's censors. Here it is: run away screaming from this app. It serves no purpose. If you have it running while docked, it limits the volume on the dock. Also, it negates the equalizer in iOS so everything sounds like it's coming out of a tin can.

Doesn't work with iOS 10. I used this product religiously everyday until I downloaded iOS 10. Now it doesn't work- please fix! I loved this product!!

I'm your customer service. I wrote a previous review that when I upgraded to the iPhone 6 and IO8, the app would crash when opened. Of course there's nothing by Sony offering anything in the way of customer support so I was ready to just forget it. Then I though just for the hell of it to remove it from my device and then reinstall it. Since doing that, it's been working fine. The app was successful in syncing the phone to the clock radio, and with the iPhone bigger screen, the clock display looks great. The alarm works as advertised too. It's low on frills but it does what it says it's supposed to do. People should read the specifications carefully though. I can't be sure that putting an adapter to connect the clock radio to a non-lightning iPhone will work.

iOS update kills the functionality. Please fix the issue with the iOS upgrades and functionality to play music from the 30 pin apple products with the Sony dock. I know the iPhone 5 is out with the new Sony dock but not everyone is able to upgrade and purchase These. These phones are an investment for sure. My iPod touch iPhone 3 gs and wife's iPhone 4 and my new iPhone 4S will not work. Surly Sony can work with apple to find out what changed in the os. If apple causes the problem and will not provide a solution. Let your customers know. Maybe even give trade allotment or adapter kit to allow to play I have to use the mic cable but that is not as food quality sound as the dock seemed to create. Please find a resolution for your customers.

Love!. This alarm app works with my Sony docking station well and I love waking up to the music I want to hear and at the volume I want.

iOS 8 renders app useless. This accessory may not be supported. All text fields are stuck empty with frozen screens. This is the error I get when docking. This accessory may not be supported. Also the iPhone playback will only play the last song listened to at the previous volume. So there is no reliability at all. Alarms are supposed to be reliable. What's the point in using an app that doesn't work? just like Sony to sell a well marketed alarm clock with no functionality support. I should have known better. Sony = unreliable.

Okay. When I first got this app, it worked fine. I was able to get up in the morning for school or for church. Now, I set my alarm, and check everything to make sure everything is how it is supposed to be, and my alarm isn't going off. It's been doing this for a few weeks and I'm getting annoyed. How can I make it go back to normal?

Worked until today. This worked fine for me until today. Now it crashes instead of loading. Luckily the roofers were noisy enough to wake me. An alarm should always work. This must be repaired.

Fix it please!. Although I love this app, it stopped working after the update. It really stinks because I use it for my alarm clock. Please fix it because it is what gets me up in the morning for the school year! Please fix it ASAP!

Not this being updated after 6 years 💀. I’m hollering 😂😂😂 Honestly, I’ve never had issues with this app other than the outdated interface. Are y’all ever gonna update it for full resolution on iPhone X and higher devices?

Music. It works well up until I'm laying in bed and I switch from radio to music and it shuts my iPod off and puts it to sleep. I hate having to crawl out of bed and re-swipe the lock to turn the app back on. I would like that to be fixed

Don't buy. Isn't optimised for iOS 8!!! I plug my iPhone 6 into my Sony dock & it comes up with a message saying not optimised and won't charge my phone. Useless & even though it's free now I wouldn't bother downloading it. Waste of Mbs!!! Hurry up & update the app!!!!

Where's the equalizer?. What is it that gives large corporations the right to just remove functions from applications without any regard for whom it inconveniences or for the troublesome mechanics they put individual customers through when trying to find a solution to the problems it creates. Appalled!!

Shocking!. Shocking. Resulted in severe battery life deterioration on iPhone 4 which was only resolved when app uninstalled (more than halved battery life).

Useless App. The whole idea of the app is great, but the alarm function is almost useless if you want to use your iPod/iPhone music for your alarm. It gives you the option to select music within your library for your alarm, but this ONLY works IF you have last listened to that song. If not, you will be alarmed to the most recently listened to song in your music library. In other words, you don't want to be woken at 5am in the morning to your fav death metal song you listened to that day in your car, instead of your previously chosen classical music!! Don't bother, download a better app!

Time to update app!!!. The next update of the Apple iOS will render this app useless unless Sony can update it for use on a more recent version of iOS than version 5. This will render my alarm as virtually useless for what I originally bought it for.

Useless. Can’t set an alarm when the iPhone isn’t docked. Can’t select music to play on alarm - defaults to last tune that was playing. What’s the point of showing the time on the iPhone screen when it’s showing on the clock anyway?

Needs to be fixed!. This app needs a lot of love to be more useful in a few ways, like I don't enjoy my music blaring at volume 12 but I have no choice because of this app. Seriously needs some attention.

No fully accessible!. In the updates it says 'VoiceOver compliant' as a VoiceOver user I was a little excited and also a bit like "welcome to the 21st century"; but the unusual wording of 'compliant' does in retrospect make sense when you realise they haven't labeled the button to get to the menu, well they did label it, but a label of "button" is a little vague. What they mean to have written is something along the lines of "settings" good work guys, you're on your way, now let's realise that things should be more than 'compliant' and remember Voiceover's purpose is to facilitate equitable access to technology for the blind. Apple did most of the work for you, all you have to do is recognise that the word you use in scripting has meaning to screen reader users! Other than that the app is a little feature poor but functions and can tell the time and date with VoiceOver which is a good start. The generic nature of the settings menu is accessible as expected, good to be able to access the 'button' menu. Since my clock screen has gone haywire just out of warranty I'm not impressed since other people in my house who can see the time from a distance now can't see the time clearly all of the time (I can see it close up). It looks like a software issues causing everything that can light up to light up and one of the bars on the numbers goes on and off randomly so at 5am it can look like 6am but at 6am it might look like 5am. YES I have tried turning it off and on again multiple times and off for various lengths of time. Given the nature of the screen I'm positive that a software reset of the clock could help so a feature like that on the phone would help... And the settings reset only works on the app... I tend to be tech savvy enough to have tried the obvious!

Limited Functionality. Alarm doesn't work. I use an iPhone 4S with the latest iOS installed. I set an alarm then connect the phone to the Sony speaker dock. The dock has to be turned on in order for the alarm to function. However, after a period of time it turns itself off. And this stops the alarm from actually playing through the speakers. Therefore, this app and the associated Sony products are useless as an alarm clock, despite it being one of the advertised features.

Basic app. Doesn't let the phone sync the time. That's all I wanted it for!

Good but takes some getting used to. Great app everything works as it should be.Takes a bit of getting used to but most apps like this are.The people that are saying that it messes with there battery check the settings menu and change the brightness down and you should be fine.

The app doesn't even work. My dock doesn't play it's sound out of it it just the iPod sound :|

Think it needs some revision... It's a great app to use with your Sony dock but I think that out of the 5 months I've been using it, I've only had the alarm function actually work probably 10 times if that.. I've had to take my phone off the dock at 6 in the morning in order to actually wake up when my alarm is set to go off.. I have also noticed if you have the music sleep timer on, you can't lock your phone or the timer cancels out.. I'm sure most people use this app as an alarm clock, therefore don't need the annoying bright shine of the iPhone/iPod screen lighting up the room all night (even when the screen brightness is turned right down). It would also be nice to have more clock styles. Try something like green or red numbers with black background like old school alarm clocks..

People are wrong. This app is made so you can connect BlueTooth to Sony stereo, it's not made for general use.... :) good app

Nearly. Nearly the complete app....nearly Well laid out with plenty of options, a cinche 2 turn alarms on/off & reset stations. Just with there were more options in clock displays.....really r boring colors & a drab 2 look @. If there was an option of adding your own displays with pics or wallpapers that wood top it all off Nearly

iPod dock. Awesome app the clocks look good and has good functions, just wish you could control the music from in the app.

Great. Easier to set alarms on iPhone than dock

Used to be acceptable. Now poor keeps say accessory not supported by iPhone!. Plays music and sets the alarm in the supposedly compatible alarm clock (ICF-C11iP) - sometimes. Frequently comes up with warning that the device is not compatible with the iPhone (5S) running iOS7. Further the device won't charge when this happens. The device was fine until a few months ago.

Meh.... Have read previous reviews & have to agree with most. A very basic app that doesn't deliver all that is promised. Main thing I noticed is that the clock on my dock does NOT sync to my iPod. Pretty basic function that doesn't work. Have tested out the alarm function which works well. Others that are saying that when you turn off your phone/iPod the alarm doesn't work, that's correct. However, if you slide your finger down the screen while in the app, you can make the screen black and the alarm will then work fine. The only problem alarm wise is that the "test alarm volume" does not work so I'm yet to figure out what volume I have to set it to... Not sure about the dock switching itself off.. Only got it today so will have to see.. All in all, pretty useless app... Really needs to be fixed so that basic functions like syncing the clock actually works.

Just me?. Works well most of the time. When I get a txt or notification etc during the night, I've noticed it turns on but the app alarm doesn't play a sound/music when it's suppose to :S I've always got to have a back up alarm clock on too.. Not sure if its just me or if this happens to others...

Drained battery. Even though this app wasn't being used, it still drained the battery, once it was removed battery lasted all day again

Alarm clock yet no alarm. Ummmm it works fine then suddenly sends me a message saying the alarm missed by 1 minute. Then you send an upgrade and now there is no alert at all. Please fix or this Sony purchase / app download was a waste of time and money.

Not compatible with iOS 8 😡. Not very happy. Went to use it in iOS 8 and it just crashes, please update!!!!!!

Some tweaks for an all in one app. It would be better to have the app automatically turn Bluetooth on and off when it opens/closes. Also, please allow the app to browse through the music on the phone not just skip to the next or previous song. Access to the songs and playlists of iTunes would make for a more substantial and user friendly app.

Ok app and hardware. Not the most intuitive app but does work. The hardware sound is good

What tha..?. This is by far the worst app available! After trying to sync the time, I had to set manually. After removing the phone the time reverted back to the wrong time. While the alarm worked, I can't work out where the music is sourced from... And can't turn it off. If you happen to be looking at this before buying the Sony clock get something else!!

Poor effort from Sony. It messes with the iPhone screen brightness (which probably explains the battery drain problem) and will not sync time and date. This app is pointless!

Device not supported. When I first got my Sony radio docking station it worked great and now I think since updating the app I can't charge my iPhone 5, keeps saying device not supported. Sony when will you fix this problem.

No sync. I can't believe that the Sony Dream Machine doesn't sync time and date when iPhone is connected but the least that they could do would be to have this App do it.

Put this on all my iOS devices. I just use this for the quality clocks and nice backlighting in my docked devices. Don't need a Sony dock for that so for me it works great.

Kludgy on an iPhone, useless on an iPad. Poor UI design on the iPhone 5 but it does work. I can't control the clock on my iPad though. Intentional limitation or just poor design? Since the iPad fits on the connector and it charges, this doesn't make sense to me. What a waste of an app with potential.

Clock does not sync. Honestly, i dont understand the point of this app. The one benefit i could see, that of it syncing the time on my dock, doesn't even work! It's not intuitive at all, i cant work out how i would use it to play music...pointless as far as I can see

Newfoundland Time Zone. There is no time zone for Newfoundland. The closest is AST (Atlantic Standard Time) which is a half an hour earlier than Newfoundland!! Please fix!

I am not happy. Please update ASAP. I am receiving a pop up saying "this device is not supported." I have a 4S. I was able to charge my phone for awhile but then it decided to not play music OR charge. Please update ASAP, as I know other users have asked for an update.

😡Not Worth It!!!!😡. I've used Sony products all my life and now the app is no longer supported?, I have previously used the app with my old iPod 2 and ever since I upgraded to the iPod 4 it says that the accessory isn't supported by iOS devices! I am running iOS 6.1.6 the newest and most likely final update to the iPod 4, my dock model is ICF-CS15iP. FIX THIS BUG!!!!!

I'm using this app on my iPhone 6 with iOS 8.0.2, together with the Sony ICF-C11iP AM/FM radio speaker dock (designed for iPhone 5). The app works great for setting the time, the alarms, and the radio station presets. It sure beats setting all of that by messing with the buttons on the radio itself. One feature seems to *not* work: The wake to music ("Music Play Timer") feature is supposed to allow you to wake up to a song or songs of your choosing from your iPhone or iPod. The app does allow you to set this up, and when the selected time comes it does wake up the attached iPhone and start to play music, but it does not play the pre-selected song. Instead it seems to play whatever was last "Now Playing" in the Music app. This isn't a big deal for me, as I wake up to the radio. I only want to play from an iPhone or iPod at night to go to sleep, and that part works fine. But I expect this would be a deal-breaker for some. I note also that the last update to this app was more than 1½ years ago (March 14, 2013), so I do worry that it has been abandoned. It would be nice to see an update to iOS 7 or 8 standards. That might fix the wake-to-music bug too.

Annoyed. This is so frustrating. Ever since the new iOS update the docking don't recognize my iPhone! We bought this dock SPECIFICALLY for iPhone! It SPECIFIES iPhone on the box! Time for whoever the techie person is, to fix this update, i can't even use my dock anymore, and of course it's been too long to bring it back! -.- not impressed!

Please fix compatibility. I use to play my first gen iPod touch on my dock but now it says I need iOS 5 which I can't update to and it would be best if you could make this compatible for all iPods and iPhones.

Good app. Working fine for me with iphone 5.

Could be much better. This app works at just a basic level. It will work ok with a Sony alarm clock but it could be improved with even just a bit of common sense. For instance, setting the alarm time can only be done when docked to an alarm clock. How about letting me do this prior to docking without waking my wife who goes to bed earlier. Also, choosing a playlist to wake works as long as no other playlists were paused, otherwise it just continues wherever music has left off. Seems like very very sloppy programming.

Update Please!!. It used to work fine, but now, every time I plug my phone into the speaker it gives me the error "this device not supported" I have an iPhone 6. When I opened the app i got a message saying "this app may slow down your device, the developer needs to update it" Many other people are having problems too, please update?

Great with Lightning Docking Clock. Working great with iPhone 5s and Sony Clock Radio with Lightning Dock. Automatically syncs time. Can set alarms on the phone and transfer to the clock, adjusts settings and presets through the phone, etc, etc. Great setup.

PLEASE UPDATE TO 64BIT. this app will no longer work with IOS 11 and I use this app daily to set my alarms for my sound system. Please update it to be compatible with iOS 11

CRAP!!!. None if the sony docks work. I'm on my 2nd one now. Just make it like every other normal dock. Plug whatever phone you have and let it play tunes. I'm using iphone 4. It works on almost every other dock I plug into except sony. Buying a new portable dock today. It's not gonna be a sony today or ever again.

UPDATE !!. Still will not work playing music even with a new update, update the software for previous generations of iPhones I have a 4s and an update to include the software for that so AirPlay can happen would be nice!

Why?. I was listening to my favourite podcast when suddenly it just completely stopped! Now even after cleaning my port i still can't get sound or even power!!! (Ipod 5) it just says "this device is not supported therefore it may not run reliably"

Needs update for iOS 9. After updating to the most recent iOS version the alarm function with iPhone music doesn't work.

Slowing down my phone. You guys haven't updated the app since before I had my iPhone 5... the app is actually slowing down my phone. Really disappointed with Sony right now. Also have a song amplifier that is crapping out after a year and a half... what happened to the great products you used to make? Sorry to say it but you have lost a loyal customer here Sony 😔

Connection. It doesn't even connect to my phone anymore. It was perfectly fine just 12 hours ago, not it doesn't work. It connects to my phone and charges it but doesn't connect to my music. I have the Audio System ICF-CS15iPN (whatever that means lol) but it's not working. It used to connect and play music like a stereo WHILE charging my phone but now it doesn't work. All it can do is charge my phone

Needs a flipping update!. In 2012 this was great, in 2015 the app does not read the docked iPod. After attaching and removing, sometimes up to ten times it will connect. A company like SONY should do better than this!

Please update. The alarm setting on the app is gone. I can only set the alarm on my phone itself not through the app.

Love my Sony and this iOS 11 update. I have the Sony ICP-CS15iP with a 15 pin lightning adapter and on top of that another adapter so that my iPhone 6s can fit with a lightning adapter. This latest update was critical for working with iOS 11. Thank you, thank you Sony for finally updating this app, I started shopping for another clock radio and still to this day there is no other company that makes a better clock radio with a functioning app.

Does not work. On RDP-XA700iP, iPad 3. In the app, go into Network, and it instantly exits with message "The settings will be finished. The RDP-XA700iP has been operated." Unable to connect the speaker to a network, rendering it useless. Please fix! App says "Connected" in top left but clearly it is not.

Using it as a standalone alarm app + 5.1 sound system. I have two compatible Sony docks. I've activated the alarm functionality in the app by docking (iPhone 5). After that, I use a line-out apple dock for the alarm connected to a 5.1 sound system for my bed. The dock made a hissing noise after snoozing an alarm. Still a great app after 5+ years - functions exactly like I want it to (iPod music / snooze config). Recent update has the new landscape "alarm-off" ui-layout. The only issue with this is that when the alarm goes off in landscape mode, the snooze button is shown below the "alarm off slider" and is hard to press. Please fix this. Thank you.

Crap. This app should be deleted from the store and any ref to it in marketing sony prod cuts also deleted. It does not work and simply aggravates anyone who tries to use it.

Prblem with ios 8.1.3. Since ios 8.1.3, I cannot even charge my iphone 5 with the sony radio anymore! Please talk to Apple and make them fix there ios, or give us an app that will recognize ios 8.1.3.

Can’t use alarm setting?!?. I plug in my iPhone running iOS 12.1.4 and get an error saying the alarm function can not be used on (model). So, what’s the point of having this Sony product now? The developers of this app don’t appear to be keeping up to date on this app when iOS changes are made. This renders the app useless and broken. Sad. I love Sony products—-you gotta do better by doing better. Kaizen!

Iphone 4S no longer supported. This app will no longer let me dock my iPhone 4S to my Sony Docking System. The software is only configured for the iPhone 4S. Sony please fix this software issue.

Buggy alarm setting. If you set the alarm from the ap, and set it it iPod, the buzzer goes off. If you set it with the dock, it works. I am partly deaf and need a loud alarm. The buzzer doesn't do it for me. Would like to have settings do what they say they do.

Was fantastic. The app was working wonderfully with my dock as an alarm clock. The music aspect was amazing and then boom update and I've been late to work 3 times due to this app. I'll take the dock back delete the app and go buy an actual idock if there isn't a fix for the iPhone 4 soon.

No alarm functionality. This app was working perfectly fine for me, but then I updated to iOS 8.4 and now the alarms are missing. I am annoyed as this app is required to make my Sony speaker stand work. Limping along with the sleep timer tonight.

D-Sappli is a pretty cool clock. There is different types of clocks, marine, blue, modern blue floating, classic black, modern, white, laserbeam, pink diamonds those are all the clocks

Before & After. Pretty ticked off that I can't play my iPhone 4S through my Sony docking station alarm clock now! That was main reason for getting it! Now it's just a charging base. :(

Confused. Honestly, I don’t see how this app is useful with the speaker. Also you can only select songs from Apple Music which nobody uses.

Worked great...before iOS 8 update.... ...but now I get the "Accessory may not be supported" error and the app crashes when you try to open an alarm for editing. The app hasn't been updated since March of 2013.

Horrible app. This app messed up my whole playlist and didn't let me play the list.

Annoyed. Not happy I had to buy a new alarm clock since the pin system came out and now it won't even charge my phone. Says the device is not compatible... What a joke!!!

Need lots of improvements. Syncing the clock isn't accurate, it's either 5 minutes more or an hour before. And there's not much to do an application for, this application is a disappointment!!
