Great app. This app is only supposed to work with one camera — the DSC-RX0 M2. That is why the other reviewers had trouble using it. The app works very well with the camera it was designed for.

No Landscape View. Why no support for landscape view/orientation. Makes it a bit unwieldy/awkward when editing to larger devices like the iPad. What’s the sense? Should have option to manually dial in the amount of stabilization instead of relying on the AI overlords.

Crashes upon opening. App crashes as soon as you open the app. Tried restarting device, closing app, and redownloading the app. Still crashes.

Does not work with A7c. Does not work with A7c as advertised. Update: it does not work with all video formats on the A7c, such as 1080p 120fps. It does work with 4K 24fps.

Absolute JOKE. I can’t even bring footage from a Sony camera in here. Thought it may only allow certain frame rates? NOPE, the A7III isn’t supported I guess? Another reviewer mentions they have multiple Sony cameras and none are “supported.”

Simply doesn’t work (on iPad).. Tried this on 2019 iPad Pro 11” where I already edit photo and video. 1./ Simply wont allow editing of any video taken with Sony cameras (I’ve had three) on iPad. Gives an message saying “video cannot be edited”. 2./ App will only open in landscape mode on iPad; it ignores whatever the orientation the user has set for the tablet. I’m sorry I wasted my time. Poor show from Sony; Playmobile needed a refresh, but this is a step backwards.

No landscape mode in 2022. You’d think that with many iPad Pro’s in 2022 editing with a Magic keyboard this app would have landscape mode support… it’s 2022 people….

Doesn’t work with Mirrorless a6400.... Pretty disappointing... other reviews nail it...

App simply doesn’t function. The app can’t open video files recorded with the Sony A7iii - Sony’s own popular mirrorless. You record a video using the Sony A7iii, import it using Sony PlayEdge Memories or whatever that app is called, then switch to this to edit it and it says “This video cannot be edited because it was not recorded using a camera supported by this application”. HAHA. It’s YOUR camera! How can your own camera not be supported? And the video was imported using YOUR Playmemories app! It can’t get more native. I imagine it’s the same for the majority of Sony cameras since they’re all different but record with the same codecs. Doesn’t matter if it’s 4K or 1080p. Also can’t open any other type of video on an iOS device. So at this stage it sounds good, but is in fact 100% non functional and therefore useless. Sony, your customers keep saying this: you have unbelievably great products within your lineup, especially cameras. Your hardware is phenomenal. However your software design and integration is the worst in the market by a mile. UX design and basic connectivity and integration with your products is downright abysmal - learn from your competition and step up!

Why only for RX0-M2?!. Sony have lots of camera and video functions I have sony compact and mirrorless camera and have hips of 4k or less quality videos, it can’t handle with this app It says only for RX0-M2 and i can’t use any video with this app Why you make this app Sony For what

No 4K edit. Can’t edit 4K movies already imported on my iPad…..I get a message like “your device doesn’t support playing these files”…..even if I can play and edit these video files on every app that I have on my iPad …..so,it’s absolutely useless for me.On my iPhone 12 Pro….same problem….I can’t even connect the other app(imaging edge,or something)to my camera because I’m in 4K video mode!It’s so sad that camera manufacturers can’t figure it out….Panasonic,same problems.And monitor+ app,created by an individual,maybe in his basement,can do 100 times more things than this “big league guys”.

Useful tool - somewhat limited but free. You can use only Sony footage (from sd card or via the app). It supports 4K input footage but you can’t export in 4K, only 1080. It’s still a nice basic video editor where you can add multiple clips, play with speed, cut, trim and create a mini movie. But iMovie does the same thing, also for free, and you can mix your iPhone videos. Also, the stabilization isn’t really noticeable in the videos I tested (from rx100 7).
