RGB Constant Please add. Add an option to keep lighting going instead of having to use the app entire time to control lighting. 5 star app if we can do that eventually

Does not work!!. I just recently got an song srs-xb31 speaker and I was looking forward to using the features in this app. However, the app does not recognize that there is a Bluetooth connection even though there is. I am hoping that problem will be fixed. If it isn’t fixed, can the features available on this be moved to the Sony music center app?

Inoperative. Claims it will work on my device. Open it for it to only continue to say that a Bluetooth connection is required even when it is connected.

Why the negative reviews?. This app is a amazing to say the least. Don’t know why everyone is saying they can’t get it to work. When it says the thing about connecting even though it’s already playing, all you have to do is go to your Bluetooth settings and click the device again. The app should work fine after that, plus that has only happened to me twice when I went out of the app for a while to scroll Twitter, etc.

Ugly 1990’s Interface, Does What It Says. And that’s about it. The interface is ugly as sin on a newborn baby. There are gesture controls...but why? I turned the lights off my new BT speaker and promptly deleted this app.

Garbage app that doesn’t work. Much like Sony Music Center, this was outsourced to a high school intern. It doesn’t work. It’s pointless. Instead of one app that does 2 things well, Sony made 2 apps that do 30 things terribly, or not at all.

Useless app. I wish there was a way to give zero stars. App won't connect to my shakeX when I'm connected to Bluetooth. Why even have it if it's not compatible with our speakers?

Does not work srs xb20. This doesn’t work for my device it says I need to turn on Bluetooth but my Device is already connected playing music

Unintuitive and Not User Friendly. It’s a decent concept but really unintuitive. It’s much harder to use the features because they require you to manually use each feature. The DJ feature is cool if you could touch the screen to create beats. But the only way to add beat overlays is by literally moving your phone back and forth. So stupid The lighting features are bleh. You have to keep manually tapping your fingers to create lighting cues, instead of using preexisting lighting cues or sets. Really useless app unless they fix these things.

Missing navigation arrow. There is no way to navigate back to the home page once you are on the playlist share page. This Renders app non-functional.

Does it work?. It’s connected to the blue tooth but won’t let me access the screen...it’s says it needs to be paired, WHICH IT IS! Sorry it’s just making me really mad

Maybe one day. Similar to other reviewers app doesn’t recognize active bluetooth connection to speaker (srs-xb21). Tried every combination of solutions (redownloading app, resetting speaker, resetting bluetooth connection, etc). Speaker works fine but app is currently a waste of space and limits using the speaker to it’s fullest abilities.

Worked for a little.. Same story as everyone else. My speaker(srs-xb30) isn’t recognized by the app even though it is playing music and very much connected. So can’t get rid of that annoying flash feature.

Does not connect. Songpal connected perfectly but this app sits on 1 screen saying i need to connect pointless waste of time even downloading the app. Steer away from it in its current state.

Says I need to connect to my device?. Says I need to connect my Bluetooth to my Sony speaker, when I’m using the speaker to play music at the very moment. Nothing I find online can help fix it.

Don’t auto download. Sony should really pull this app. Or at least pull the recommendation when you pair their speakers. Doesn’t work with the current speaker line up. I assume worked with past speakers. Or a past version did. Save yourself the hassle.

Presets Dont Save. Would be nice to change basic things like rgb lights on the side to flash constantly at a faster pace or have it cycle through the colors faster…seems like basic implementation. Nobody wants to keep the all open the entire time to change flashing colors. Overall extremely disappointed in this app probably wont use it again. The SRS-XG500 speaker is incredible though!

Nice app. Don’t know what all the fuss is about, app works good and has plenty of features. I especially like the function to chop and screw music by slowing and speeding the vocals. Good app sony!

Doesn’t work on my phone. Won’t work on my phone. Just brings up a screen telling me to enable my Bluetooth, even though speaker is already synced and playing music.

Fix your apps. Worked for about 10 minutes now it’s telling me Bluetooth isn’t on when it’s clearly on and connected to my XB-41. Also this app needs a complete redesign. Such a shame when you got people like me that love these products but can’t properly use them to the full extent.

Bluetooth. I have a Sony speaker and the Fiesta app will not let me access all features even though I have restarted my phone and the app multiple times and I have deleted the app multiple times and all I want is to change the color of my speakers LEDs

Worked 1 time.... Worked first install, then went blank when I launch the next week. UX is poor design and cumbersome to say least.

Still no SRS-XB21 Support. They still have not added the SRS-XB21 to this. The app does not see it, it is connected fine to the iPhone and the Sony Music Center app sees it fine as well. It’s a bummer because this is the only way to control the color and got this as a Christmas gift and can’t use this ability of the speaker due to the app not working.

App Not Working. I purchased 2 Sony SRS-XB20 and app will display “ To use this app, Bluetooth connection with your Sony device is required.” After multiple attempts on 3 separate Apple devices IPHONE 8,8+ & iPad mini. Please fix it’s an amazing speaker!

Does not work. App does not recognize that my phone is connected and playing on the Bluetooth speaker. I have no way of using the app since it doesn’t register my connection.

Needs improvement. Great app but we need better equalizer. This is just basic. Definitely needs improvement.

No useful function. There are much better soundboards and music creativity tools. I appreciate free but free and cool or useful would have gotten more stars. Not worth downloading.

No Excuse. This app is absolutely underwhelming and not something I would expect from a Fortune 500 company. It’s an embarrassment. This looks like a high school intro to iOS programming course project. Update this and put some effort into it!

Doesn’t work. Useless app. Says it needs to connect to the speaker when the speaker is already connected and playing music. Can’t access the app. Very poor. Needs an update. Deleting the app because it’s totally useless in its current state.

App is a little behind in stile. The app is a little behind in the looks department but it works great. I would just stick with the regular Sony music center app. I berely use it. I only use it when I want to change the led color on my xb 60 to a custom color

Pointless. Does next to nothing. No program capability, so you have to set the colors every time you connect. Basically stuck with the preset colors, which seem to have been coded by someone who was tweaking.

Didn’t even get to use it. Wouldn’t let me off the turn on Bluetooth screen at all after turning on and off the Bluetooth and my speaker and re-downloading the app multiple times. I tried shutting down my phone too. I went on Sony website for help and could not find anything.

Needs a bug fix?. Does not recognize bluetooth connection with SRS-XB21. I’m sure the app would work fine if it would recognize the connection with the speaker. This issue prevents me from accessing any useful properties or abilities of the app.

App doesn’t work. I downloaded the app, accepted all the service agreements, and then it goes to a black screen and nothing else. Look like I won’t be able to use my new Sony speaker to its full potential.

Let us save the color. When I turn my xb41 off it doesn't remember what color it was set to. Would be better if it did.

Very disappointed .. If I could give this app 0 stars I would. I could not do anything with the app because it says my speaker needs to be connected.. even though it was connected.

Non-blinking color select? Nope.... I just want to select a color and not have it slowly blink? Believe it or not this is not a feature. Other features are fun gimmicks but show that development resources were misallocated. The most basic light select features should have been finished first.

Clumsy and Poorly Written. I can only guess that this app was written in order for Sony to advertise features and compare themselves to JBL and other party speakers. It kinda sorta does what it’s supposed to do, but it’s unintuitive and clunky. Some buttons have to be pressed multiple times to work. Some functions don’t seem to have a point other than technically being a feature that can be advertised. I like my 500xv, but confused why this app is so bad.

What happened?. My Sony XG300 was much brighter and exciting to look at while playing music and after I installed this app, first the lights turned off and now it appears to barely work no matter how much I play in the settings. Going to uninstall. I better not have to reset and uninstall the main app and start again Sony. I took my money way from Bose because of nonsense like this, apps that are required to use the products or certain features and the app magically seems to make the device behave worse, not better. Sony, I thought you were better than this but again I am proven wrong. Where are you Panasonic!? You were the best. Come back and produce music and tv products in America.

The custom color feature is…. Dear Sony, despite of the fact that I truly love your products…… What’s the matter of this app? The whole interface feels like it was stolen from a vintage store. And please do something about the custom color feature. I can’t even choose the color I want with ease because this whole UI fails to deliver what it was supposed to do. Lastly, just wanna tell you guys that the new XB33 is fantastic.

Doesn’t show up on Bluetooth list on phone. Does not work with SRS-XB20 even tho when purchasing the speaker it said the lights can be changed I have downloaded, deleted and re downloaded the fiestable App but will NOT ever appear as an available device under the list of my other connected devices. I followed all instructions and nothing. Good thing blue is my favorite color, however it’d be nice to have other colors displayed too.

A let down. I read some review but decided to download this app anyway. I was disappointed it wouldn’t let me use the app because it was not able to detect the Bluetooth connection between my phone and speaker I have been successfully using.

No speaker recognition. This app is a waste and isn’t useful at all. It looks cool and I assume would work nicely if properly connected. However, until Sony fixes this, this app shouldn’t be recommended at all.

Useless. Doesn’t do any of the stuff shown in the App Store screen shots. Would like to make the speaker lights less seizure-inducing but I guess I just have to turn them off completely since this app doesn’t seem to help.

This app is missing features !. This is the worst app I ever downloaded ! False advertising.. app only comes with 3 features for my SRS-Xb41 -DJ control, Illumination, and Motion Control.. no Karaoke which I was hoping for .This is a straight miss and you get certain key features depending on which device you purchase. Whose idea was that? Dumbest developers I ever seen.. Total disappointment!

Can’t use it. Could not even access the app. When I opens it the Bluetooth screen appears and there is no way to get past it

Nice Job Sony. Using a 11 Max Pro with the latest updates...zero problems with this app. The preview is misleading because there are some really cool features here. A DJ mode, Light Mode, Sound effects, and others controlled by motion of your iPhone. This is cool! The lights can be adjusted to flash, rotate differently and even customize the color. I agree there could be some flashier buttons or icons but the functionality is there. It’s unique and again...cool! Exactly why my home is filled with Sony products!!

Unable to use. I just got the XB-31 and I love it, but this app isn’t working for my speaker. It doesn’t seem to work. It tells me a Bluetooth connection is required and it’s connected but it stays on that screen.

Not working. Music is playing with all those effects and when I open the app nothing shows up. Unless I can get help there is no point in using this

Sea world resort. This app is absolute garbage. It tells you to connect to your music device and restart the app to utilise the app further. Once doing this it continues to tell you to do this and never lets you properly use the app. Really shows you how much don’t cares about customer service.

Mr Happy. It’s free so why would you complain? The DJ function is a bit of fun , so are the party lights.

Nice app. Used it with my Sony XB41 speaker and it works easy, had no issues running the app or finding out how to use it, rather seamless

Ryan. I went from having different illumination settings with several colours, now I have just playback settings with one colour. It has restricted my speaker’s capabilities.

Very Disappointed. There are no directions to get this app to work as I expected and wanted it to work that I can see. So far for me, it has proved to be a useless, frustrating waste of time. The only option that this app appears to give me is to “Launch Music Centre.” If by this is meant launch Sony Music Centre which is unclear, my response is that I did not want Sony Music Centre. I wanted this app to do what it was represented to do and what I wanted, and definitely not what it may want me to do first and that is to download Sony Music Centre. I cannot therefore select “Launch Music Centre” without the app clearly indicating that it is not referring to me launching Sony Music Centre. After all the App also states that “Music Centre by Sony is also available”

What is this????. Don’t get the point of this app. It’s just a single screen with a link to Sony’s music centre app, which is full of bugs. Cool logo though, so I’m giving it 1 star.

It barely does anything.. The only thing this app actually does is a stupid function that makes my phone screen pulse through a bunch of colours with really high brightness, ons open the music Center app. Beyond that it just tells me to connect the Bluetooth speaker that is already connected and in use. Utterly and pathetically useless.

As all other reviews state, don’t waste your time. Rubbish app with no indication of how to utilise it.

Don’t xg 500. Garbage app, thank god the speaker is pretty good 😭 it’s such a bad app just like the other one but at least this one is a little more crisp.

Can’t use app. It says I must connect to Bluetooth device to use app but I am already playing music with the device so I’m clearly connected... would be nice to have this fixed as I see others are having the same problem!

Missing options. Just bought a new MHC-V21 speaker and downloaded this app. Started up the app and noticed it was missing a lot of the featured programs/options. I was especially mad that the illumination option was not on there. My $300 speaker with lights only lights up one colour!!!!

DOES NOT WORK ON XB-30. This app is made for the SRS XB-40 only. The app does not support the XB-30.

Not compatible with the SRS-XB20. I’m very excited to use this app once it becomes available with this model. As of this point, the app doesn’t let you do anything. It just sends you to “SongPal”.

Doesn’t Support SRS-XB20. Seems like a really cool idea! But it doesn’t work with my SRS-XB20 which is highly disappointing. Especially considering that after pairing with my phone, this app was one of the recommended apps for the accessory. If the app doesn’t work with this speaker, why recommend I download it?? I love the speaker, I hate the lack of compatibility with “recommended” apps. SongPal is borderline useless too.

Karaoke vocal and music just don't mix or click. Terrible for karaoke purpose. Music and vocal just don't blend together. Just terrible!

Glitchy. Won’t stay connected. Illumination part works sporadically. Cool when it works. Not impressed.

SRS-XB30 is not compatible. App need to be updated. Speaker is incredible, app is not. No compatibility with my new speaker. Very disappointing.

Sony Xtra base SRS-XB20. Please make this app's features compatible w/ this model of wireless speakers. I believe in the quality of Sony products & they will live {close to} a life-time, so I know I'll have this speaker forever & it would be cool to use this app also. I would love to use the DJ features & definitely change the flashing to different colors, I'm tired of just 1 color.

DJ options missing. Most of the fun DJ add-on sounds like the Wah horn or Pan and Drum sampler sounds are missing for Iphone user on IOS 18.x.
