Specific Change Suggestion. Hello. So I never write reviews but I hope this app is true to its word when they say they actually want to hear from us. So I think this app is wonderful, I’ve had it for YEARS. You absolutely don’t need to spend any more for it to work really well. My only criticism is the Auto function. For example, when I tap on the “smooth skin” function, I want to do the smoothing manually, however the second you click on it, the app does it automatically. So every time, I have to scale back to auto-correct down to 0 before switching to manual. It’s VERY annoying so please!!!! Just give us the option to choose auto, don’t make it the default!!!

Used to be amazing; loaded with garbage ads now.. This was one of my favourite photo apps for 5+ years. They had slowly increased their ads over time and features that used to be free became “subscription only”. This was annoying but understandable until today. As of today, the app is UNUSABLE if you’re not paying for it. There are NON STOP ADS like it’s a cheap mobile game. It’s awful. You do 1 thing and you get an ad. You click on something else, you get an ad. You take a photo - get an ad. Try to save the photo? Another ad. It’s miserable. I will not be forced into paying for their pointless subscription service because they harass me with a barrage of ads. I’ve removed the app from my phone and won’t be revisiting it ever again. Thanks for ruining something great.

Download this app now. I finally found the perfect editing app ✨BeautyPlus✨ I’ve been wanting a editing app for a while I’ve downloaded 23 editing apps and there were all fake so I downloaded another and I loved it but it hade nothing to put makeup on there was no lipstick no eyeliner no eyeshadow so it just wasn’t it but then I found ✨BeautyPlus✨I looked at all the editing tools and it was amazing this app lets you brighten your eyes whiten your teeth and my favorite part there’s makeup I love all the cool stickers and brushes and frames and super cool filters and I love how you can save all the pictures you edited to your gallery I even put makeup on my cat it was Hilarious Idk what I could’ve done with out this app

Investment. So, I am going to be truthful in saying that I have always hated taken pictures and I usually don’t do reviews that pay me. As far as photographsI just never looked attractive in them, pictures seem to accentuate my flaws, thus making me self conscious. Prior to this app I had no social media what so ever because I looked distorted and disfigured in photos. I took a chance on this app just to “ goof off” and do silly filters. Upon navigating the app and taking some trial and error pictures, I was flabbergasted by the enhancements in my photos after adding the beauty features. I took a couple of days to process if I wanted to purchase the app or not, so I posted some pictures ( free trial)on a dating web site just to experiment. My page “ blew up”. By day 3, I was ready to make the subscription. Now I am a social media star and I owe it to this investment. My confidence is at least 99% better. I hope that BeautyPlus will continue to add more features. I would like to make some requests as well. I do believe that I will be a subscriber for life. Thank you Beauty Plus for giving me my best life😘

My go to app!!. I recently discovered this incredible photo editing app, and I absolutely love it! I can't recommend it enough to anyone looking to enhance their photos with ease. Refund. I accidentally renewed this subscription and immediately canceled it. Made a report to Apple and they denied a refund, tried contacting Beauty Plus directly through the app and no luck there either. It’s terrible to have been charged for a service you don’t want that was immediately cancelled and yet refund was denied! All done within a matter of minutes after realizing that it was subscribed to. Now I’m going to have to go through my banking institution to remedy this problem when I shouldn’t have to. If you use this app on a trial please be very careful not to re-subscribe to this app, you will have a problem getting your money back. As I stated I ACCIDENTALLY hit this subscription and didn’t want this app! I contacted to try and get a refund through apple and they said I had to contact the app developer and the only option I had was to leave a review, now a response is telling me to contact apple! A person is responsible for making an error and I paid the ultimate price. Charged for a app I don’t want and didn’t want. I try to do things the right way by making contact so if I have to dispute the charge with my bank I will. It said that people make you go an extra mile because I made an error. Unjust will not prosper!

please see this and please fix it!!. the “tone” tool used to be my favorite editing tool ever. but then the app changed it and it’s no longer the same! i miss the old way the tone tool used to work whenever you could just use all the tan tone colors instead of just being limited to one tan tone color. i hate the hue and degree thing you have to use now. it’s awful and it only makes you look way too dark and makes you blend in with the rest of the picture. the tone tool used to be so much better because you would just click your skin tone you wanted and use the bar to drag and get tanner. now you drag the bar and you just become dark not even tan. it’s not the same and i’m begging you. TO PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK. the tone feature is awful now and instead of looking tan you only look grey! please please change it back. i miss the old tone tool so much.

It’s just not the same... Unfortunately I have come to not like this app. I use to use it all the time to fix little imperfections here and there all the time and have been using it for who knows how long. Especially with all the other cool filters they have. But now it’s just straight up charging for every single thing. Just like any other apps. Which is very annoying. For those who can afford it. It’s no issue. But for those who can’t. It’s not. Regardless if it’s $4.17 or 8.99 plus tax it isn’t bad. But that also goes a long way for those who needs it for something else more important. At least give us more features from each category for free to continue using the app and charge for some. Otherwise sadly it’ll be off to looking for another app again.

Everything I loved about this app changed :/. I used to love this app because most of its tools were free. Now it expects me to pay 36 dollars a year just to use their acne eraser and a few of their other features. I thought this app would never change which is why I loved it. Now I can hardly use the app that I’ve loved for many years and it’s stressful because I don’t have that kind of money coming in. I’ve actually never written a review before but I felt like this had to be addressed. Everything in the app is slowly turning into premium use only. Including things that were free for years. I understand companies need their money but this makes me want to delete the app and find something else. If you’re considering downloading this app just keep in mind that at some point the whole app might become premium only. :/

50 Friggen dollars!!! And you can’t use most of the things!. So this was my old review the game emailed me which I’m happy I got some nice service from this game 😊 So if you have a problem with this game it’s so nice!! First I got this game from a add obviously! It looked fun and cool to see what you look like as a Barbie or Ai etc. The first thing that popped up was subscription for 50 dollars a month!!!! Like WHAT! Most games it’s like 15, but 50?! I thought that was pretty weird so I didn’t get the subscription. So anyways I went to put lipstick on my self in the game and one of it had like some beauty plus logo on it so I clicked on it and moved on, then when I wanted to click save the subscription poped up again saying you have to buy it or you can’t use the logo ones 😒Like girl!!!! Most of the makeup things and Ai things were the LOGO😡🤬 50 dollars a month for a app???? Anyways one thing was fun, it was the camera thing!!! And that’s it!!! Very weird circumstances.

Disappointed. I've been using Beautyplus for a really long time since my highschool days when I got my first iphone, and I've been enjoying it since. Lots of their tools and filters used to be free without any charges. As they released updstes, more of their tools got into their premium subscription. I was still fine with that since the only tool that I was working with the most was the acne tool. I don't really work with other tools that much. Recently, I had to change my phone and wanted to install this app once again to use it. However, I noticed even the acne removal tool needed to be paid now as a part of the premium subscription. I'm really disappointed in this app and don't really think the app will be that useful anymore if someone where to use their free service. If you want to include premium subscription, try to be creative and come up with other advanced tools for specific and costomized use. I really thought this app was different, and now I see all they care is their own benefits. Thanks for your service you've provided me so far, but I won't be using it anymore.

Great App & Excellent Customer Service. This is a terrific app, I love the ease of use and all the editing tools. I would also like to mention the excellent customer service that I received from BeautyPlus. I was experiencing a problem with the app, emailed customer service and received an automatic response saying that they would reply in three days. Well, I was pleasantly surprised when I received a response a few hours later helping me with the problem I was having. This is a company that cares about their customers. Thank you so very much!

Past Its Prime. To preface this review, BeautyPlus has been my go to app since I was high school. It was perfect for photo editing. It could be subtle or intense depending on your preference and had the best color filters I could ever find. Unfortunately I think it’s time to move one. More and more of the essential features are getting moved behind a paywall. The breaking point for me was the blemish tool (which I honestly prefer to photoshop’s). I don’t want to seem out of touch because I’m know an app like this takes money to keep itself afloat, but there must be better incentives that just cutting out preexisting features from your audience. Honestly, I’d be fine watching an add anytime I applied certain “premium” features rather than just losing access to them. I don’t know if this app can keep up in the paid photo editing market, but to me it was the peak of the free editing apps. It was the only editing app I’d ever recommend because it allowed people so much creative control. Hopefully I can come back after some changes are made, but right now I’d say keep looking for something else.

I would give this 4 and a half stars. Get comfy cause this is long..... Ok so first off.. this might be the best beauty app I have ever used!!! It has sooo many filters!! And I can search up any filter I want there is also these stickers that you can make go big and small or left and right. My favorite filter is this wanted poster and I can type in my name at the top and it’s like I’m wanted! And you can try different makeup! But I mostly use the filters but you can use whatever you want! and there is photo repair I have not tried it yet but I will soon and it seems like it will work well! The best thing is that this app is free!!! My stepsisters got this app and I thought it costed money but it doesn’t I got this app for free!.. wait I think I did.. I have a bad memory..They also give you recommendations and there is always new stuff! I use this app almost everyday! So thanks for reading my review.. if you kept reading to the end..cause I never read all the long reviews.. hehe and I recommend you t try this app out it’s amazing!!!

Honestly Amazing…. Man…I Genuinely thought this was going to be another one of those apps that was ridiculous & poorly put together, on top of asking for a bunch of money every month to use their “services.” But it’s NOT. This app is Genuinely AMAZING. I don’t edit/alter photos of myself. It keeps me humble, yet improves my self esteem to NOT edit my photos. EXCEPT for when I would like to see how my hair would look dyed a certain color or if I should get a piercing or how my face looks w/ a certain type of makeup or tan, etc…before I actually go spend the money to do it & DEEPLY regret it later. 😅😂 This time around I wanted to find something for the hair dye reason. & I used to use PicMonkey for that, buuuuut they sadly took off their “tool” to apply color to your hair. Which was horribly disheartening b/c of how ACCURATE their “tool” was! I found this app & now I know of 6 different colors I would look GREAT w/ if I choose to dye my hair any of the colors. This app is great for many other things as well! I’ve edited some of my photography photos on here & so far, I am more than pleased w/ the results of everything. Thank You! 🩷

Better quality than the apps that cost $$$😂. Well, I got this app to do some simple editing. But it’s so much more than that. I can add color filters, makeup, teeth whitening, and even stickers. Some sticker are seasonal, but others make you look like a bunny in command 😂 and so much more. The app is totally worth it. There are some advertisements for their pro, but nothing you can’t live without. Even the basic app is tons of fun and I use it for all of my editing before collages. You may think this is one of those ratings from the editors, but no. It’s actually this good. TOTALY WORTH IT. much better than lots of apps that cost tons of $$$.

Bad representation of black people. As a black women I am saddened by the lack of care this app has put forward in representing black people. On the app I decided to try the different filters to see what I would look like in an anime. I used a photo of myself and put it into their ai filter and they gave me a cloud of smoke/burnt ash not even a real human being. This actually didn’t just happen once but 3 times with different photos and filters. It is terrible how their ai can’t tell the difference between a black person and smoke/ash. When putting in other photos of myself, they would typically make me look white and very pale and they would ALWAYS straighten my hair when I either had braids or natural curly hair. Clearly when making this app, people haven’t thought about representing black people and took little time in considering how ai would represent them. I see it as if they really cared, they’d take the time to actually check how ai portrayed black people before releasing this app. Because of this I am outraged and can say this is the worst app I have ever gotten and I would rate this 0 stars if I could. Note: this app uses filter that lightens skin of darker women and lacks accurate black hairstyles changing natural hair looks to straight hair. Their ai also sometimes can’t properly identify black people.

I love the shades of the eye makeup, a lot of them are aesthetic, light pastel, & pretty! A lot of them look really good on my face. Not impressed with the update.. Let me just start by saying that I’m a pretty avid fan of this app and have been for quite some time now but there are some quirks that are quite annoying. Before the most recent update, I would have given this app 4 stars if not for how painfully slow it is on start up. For whatever reason I have to tap on it MULTIPLE times before it registers what I’m wanting to do and actually does so. It’s almost impossible to tap on the “back” arrow or the albums button to go into editing without tapping over and over and over before it actually does anything. As for after the recent update, I’m now contemplating deleting this app all together and moving onto something less buggy. It is so incredibly slow and can barely register this without, again, tapping multiple times and sometimes opening up an ad. Buttons not registering is an overall issue with everything in this app currently. Also not a fan of the batch editing option or any of the other features recently added. This is mainly due to having to click through them all while in the albums option just to open a photo up in the actual editor part of the app. In combination with how terribly slow it is, it just makes this app too frustrating to even bother with.

This has the most aesthetic filters, so easy to photo shop with this app because it sooooooooooo simple, and it’s just amazing!💜💜💜💜💜💜 You can do almost anything on this app, it literally turned some of my originally HOrIBLE pictures into some 𝓡𝓔𝓐𝓛𝓛𝓨 𝓐𝓔𝓢𝓣𝓗𝓔𝓣𝓘𝓒 𝓟𝓘𝓒𝓣𝓤𝓡𝓔𝓢! The filters are so cute, so many to choose from, and this is the best app for selfies along with any picture u want to take. It’s so amazing, I use it more that my phone camera. In fact, 99.2% of my 345 pictures in my camera role are from BeautyPlus. There is no other app better, I will use this app like forever! Thank u so much for BeautyPlus!!!!!!xoxoxoxo😍💜💜💜😘😘

n o p e n o t m y t h i n g. so I was playing a game when I saw an ad that had this app and it showed removing people from your pics and stuff and I rlly needed that so I was interested and I downloaded it. I found the effect and started to use it. It was all great until.. it said this. “You need to have the BeautyApp or whatever it’s called Premium thing” so I obviously didn’t want to pay for something that’s absolutely useless so I tried to take a screen shot . AND I WAS FURIOUS WHEN THIS HAPPENED JUST SO YOU KNOW. Every time I took a screenshot to prank my mom with the photo I did because it was funny and k wanted to show her, it kept saying every time I took at screenshot I would need the premium monthly thingie and it wouldn’t let me take a screen shot. I got of the app instantly and deleted it. I’m not trying to offend anyone or be rude about it just letting you know!!💗💗 Have a good day/night. Bye.

AWFUL update [FIXED]. EDIT: They actually responded and fixed my concern so quickly! Thank you 😭🙏 —————————- This is my favorite editing app of all time. Without fail. I don’t ever write reviews but the latest update (while seemingly useful/efficient) really destroyed one of the things I loved about it which was “layering” effects. I could stack multiple filters and edits through the check mark until the picture was perfect and now I can only do one at a time which would force me to save and reopen the picture multiple times. For my preferences, this app is now unusable to me. Which is why I gave it a 1 star in hopes they’ll see this. Otherwise, it’s a very clear 5 stars. The “layer” side bar is lovely but the “mechanics” (effect stacking) can be reverted and I think it’d be perfect! BUT ALSO, I might be dumb and can’t see the new checkmark to approve changes so hopefully that’s the case 😭🙏

I can only use a couple filters!. I love Beauty Plus and me and my friends always go on it and prank and make funny faces and turn ourselves into witches and stuff like that,… but… most of the filters and other stuff like that have a diamond on them and you have to be subscribed and I don't have enough money like that to get every single Filter and stuff like that. So I only use the ones I can. But if you could make it so we had more options and less had diamonds on them that would be great!!! By the way I really love beautyplus they're just make it so we can use more things without having to pay!!! Please!!! By the way my name is Daisy.

No gallery access despite full permissions. I've been using your app as a premium user and, unfortunately, I've encountered a persistent issue. Despite reinstalling the app and granting it full access to my photos, I'm still unable to open my gallery to edit pictures or use any of its features. The interface is user-friendly, and I see great potential in the app, but this problem significantly impacts its usability for me. I appreciate the prompt support response, but the troubleshooting steps provided did not resolve the issue. I even attached a screen recording to illustrate the problem, but there hasn't been a successful solution yet. I hope this feedback helps in identifying and fixing the bug. I'd love to continue using the app once the issue is resolved.

Love this app. Beauty cam is great. I couldn’t do makeup to save my life. With this app you can fix and edit all your makeup mishaps. It increases your attractiveness by adding brightness, smoothing things out, and adding cute filters. Also the blurry background, super professional looking. It makes it look like you used a super complex camera and yet you didn’t, you blurred the back-round & reallyyy nice. It would be even better if you could make more filters to highlight the complexion of brown skin. Maybe it’s in my head but it feels like the filters do a really nice job of more bringing out the beauty of fairer skin tones and makes darker complexions look sort of white.

Frustrating Experience with Subscription Management. I’ve been using this app for a while and generally enjoyed the features it offers(my second subscription). However, I’m really disappointed with how it handles subscriptions. I still have 6 months left on my current subscription, but the app is constantly pushing me to purchase another subscription, which is frustrating and unnecessary. What’s worse is that I’m unable to access the features I’ve already paid for. It feels like the app is trying to force me into paying twice for the same service. This is not acceptable, and it’s making me reconsider using the app altogether. I hope the developers address this issue quickly because it’s unfair to loyal customers who have already paid for the service. Until then, I can’t recommend this app to others. Please fix this!

Like but not love. I recently got BeautyPlus to try the filters and the editing options. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of filters and things this app has to offer. Everything works relatively well and I’m surprised by how well the makeup filters work, not perfect but good enough to take a picture. The only bad thing I can think of is that there are a lot of things you can’t do unless you use premium which, is expensive. I wish that you didn't need to spend that much money on a silly app I plan on using for fun. Other than that it works pretty good! I would recommend this app.

What used to be free, now you have to pay. I’m a long time user of this photo app and it’s really one of best ones out there. Unfortunately, if this was like 3 years ago, I would’ve given it 6 stars, but now it’s 2/10 and that’s just generous. The features that used to be free (like acne remover, black eye remover, etc…) are now subscriptions only, which that doesn’t make sense to me. I would understand if NEW features added are subscriptions only, but the ones given for free should stay that way. Btw developers who are reading this: I don’t understand why you had to make acne remover and the dark eye remover features a paid subscription. A lot of people are self-conscious of how they look today and I’m sure they won’t post any of their selfies when they have severe acne. Please don’t change anymore free features to paid subscription, otherwise there’s gonna be a lot of loyal customers over the years who will end up deleting the app altogether.

LOVE IT!§ IDEAS?¿?¿. You might think is bad. IT THE BEST! You might think it’s one of those normal editing app witch you have to have pro for everything or you it’s very laggy or stuff like that you name it. THIS APP DOSENT CONSTANTLY REMIND YOU OF PRO AD MOST THINGS INSTEAD OF PRO YOU CAN WATCH ONE SHORT ADD INSTEAD OF PRO!!! And I have an idea that you can make your own templates because I have very good ideas that I can’t make and also. You also have a account and people can follow you use your templates and like them and comment on them and so on you might worry about bullying and stuff but also you can report them then you might worry that people will get falsely accused well you would check over it’s PLEASE TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION

My honest opinion.. I’ve been using this app (free version-only) for years and I it has been my favorite app to use in editing, enhancing and creating beautiful memories. I’ve referred it to my family and friends. They’ve all received and/or seen my creations within this app all these years. They’re so impressed that some of them have asked me how I’m creating such awesome memories before I can even recommend this app. I don’t recall having any technical difficulties or issues. The app is easy to navigate through. It offers many, many options to customize your projects. It is easy to make changes, edit and personalize any project you may have. To me it’s the best app to use with your cherished photos. Again, I’ve only used the free version all these years and it’s phenomenal. There’s no pressure to upgrade to another version, thousands of free options and there’s no pop up ads. If you enjoy editing, customizing and creating memories you have to try this app. I’ve used other apps and unfortunately purchased a few subscriptions/upgrades and they still can’t compete with this app. I didn’t renew my subscriptions on any of them and some I actually deleted the entire app. Get this app and enjoy yourself in your own style of creativity. 💜 Buffie Note to Developer: Thank you for developing this app. It’s the best out there. Why can’t I save?. Hello, so first of all I think this app is AMAZING! It’s literally so awesome all the filters and stickers and things like that my only problem is I have to pay to save my photos! That is ridiculous, I feel like that simply isn’t fair. Now to pay for more effects I can understand but you shouldn’t have to pay to save and you can’t even screenshot the picture there is literally no way to save without subscribing which I find is stupid. I love everything else but please remove the fact that we have to pay in order to save and this app will be perfect!

Racist AI makes all men of color white with a beard.. Was excited to use this application to make my friends anime characters. But all of my minority friends, Black, Indian, Mexican, Filipino, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese, and makes them all white men with a beard. It seems like there are only two possible male faces, and they both white men, one with a beard, one without. Even if you don’t have beards it’ll give you one, and give your skin the complexion of a white man, including face and body. Maybe this application is made only for women? Because most of the women I put it, it does a someone decent job replicating, though it struggles with black women as well. But, they male AI model has only been trained on white men with beards that look like Superman I suppose. It is extremely weird, awkward, and not worth paying a cent for. Let alone $50/year.

Simple and clean.. Even a kid could use this app since it is so easy to use. You can pay for a membership but I have never done that yet I love it so much. It has automatic features and manual features that allow you to fix a picture within a minute, looking completely realistic. This is not one of those trashy apps that make your eyes bigger yet they look fake. This app is very realistic and professional. You can tell that the company cares about its customers as it has a huge variety even for the non-paying users. A little retouch does not hurt anyone. If you are a little bit creative, you can take some tools beyond their original purpose. For example: Got food on your teeth? Disappear it with the acne tool. Your smile looks weird? Fix it with the slim tool. And guess what! No watermarks nor ads. Trust me, you won’t regret getting this app.

** Underrated app that deserves the most credibility. I have to say, out of most beauty editing apps hands down this is my favorite. Most beauty apps usually consist on makeup tools that lack other photo edits, or some that claim to deliver the selfie editing but then don’t have other amazing features like this app. What I love most is how it brings you high quality editing without the crazy ridiculous purchases many photography beauty apps tend to do. I highly recommend for anyone to try this if you truly want gorgeous photos with the HD type of look. I am very happy with this app & will continue to use & recommend. 💕👍🏼

Superior Quality. This app is better at what it does than any other app of the same type that I've tried. You don't need a half dozen apps to make your photos look good - just one app does it all - and they don't force a watermark all over your stuff. I'm a very satisfied customer. My only complaint is lag. Sometimes it's slow to load, slow to respond, slow to take pictures or video, etc. That could be my internet or it could be the app size. I still love this app anyway. I remember the old adage: sometimes, less is more - I find that you don't have to use strong filters to get nice results. This is an ideal app for a phone that has an unflattering camera. It captures the best of everyone, from newborn to over 80.

Editing Features Glitch. Overall, I really love this editing app. I’ve been using this app for years and for most of my photography edits. However, I’ve been having a lot of problems with the editing features that I’m paying extra for. The feature would be applied onto the photo but it would glitch out and make lines all over my photo. This would happen on my iPhone 13 Pro and my iPad - Gen 8. I hope someone is able to reach out and help me possibly fix this issue. I’ve also tried to email the support email they provide but, I’m unable to send out any emails because it says the email doesn’t exist. I hope this review finds the owner and support crew!

They’ve started charging for basic items.. All of the features I have used for years now cost money. I don’t know why you all changed it to a paying app now but it saddens me. If you’re a black or brown person, you have to have premier status to use any features made for darker skin. I don’t know why dark circles is now a paid for add on when it never was. Greed took over my favorite app. I’ll be going back to photoshop and Lightroom before every button option can’t be used unless you pay for it. I don’t mind paying for something but not a monthly subscription. A flat fee would bring in more people. Once word gets out that if you’re black or brown, you’ll have to pay to use the feature made for darker skin. It won’t be good for this app. I made sure to grab it all on screen record before writing my review. Just incase y’all go messing with it before I share it to social media. Do you hate darker people? I used to never really see racism but it’s becoming increasingly common anymore. That shouldn’t be.

GR8 app. If your one of those girls like I that just want a different shade of photo such as sepia, etc. this app is great! However if you are one of those little pop tarts, you know the girls I’m talking about that use every filter in the world to make them self look like a 10 when you’re in real life there a five and should just own it because they’re smart amazing wonderful creatures ?? you can do all of that in this app as well make yourself look like A fake supermodel to keep that facade up. But if you still want to look like you and simply do a couple color changes or add a sparkle this app is wonderful!!

Crystals. Used to be good, now rip off. This used to be like the only app I found that let me use features for free. Every time I go on it there’s another thing that’s only part of the subscription package. Almost every feature used to be free but now barely any are free. I only edit my pictures for bad obvious pimples, and each time I go on the app, there’s another thing you had to pay for. A bunch of them used to be free, including the acne feature which is the only one I use. I only go on the app a few times a year bc I don’t post often, and of course they just made the acne feature part of their subscription plan that I’d need to purchase. For one pimple. Ugh. Time to try another app again.

Love this app but. When I first downloaded this app it wasn’t great. But they’ve made so many improvements that now I don’t post any selfies unless it’s gone through this app. The photos look cleaned up but not too airbrushed. My only critic is that when there are multiple faces, you can only fix one face and the app chooses which face to fix. I wish they can release an update where you can circle select the face you want to fix among a group photo or possibly select and fix each face individually. That would be such a great update. In the end I will continue to use this app.

Bait and switch. Since apple holds. I responsibility any longer for the apps sold, I am not spending ridiculous amounts of money on apps, especially subscriptions. I’ve been looking for a fun editor that I could inexpensively buy a few upgrades to and play. And that’s what this says it is. Until you waste your time downloading it. Then switch. Yet another ABSURDLY priced subscription app that could be discontinued tomorrow after taking my money and apple would do nothing about. No thanks. Keep your apps. Apple has now retrospectively wasted SO much of money in devices AND NOW in their hands off policy which was NOT the policy when I paid for my most expensive apps. What exactly are we paying the extra money for again anyway? For us to be told to track down the developers of apps that they’ve pulled from the App Store to try to get refunded money that we paid who? Oh. That’s right. Apple. These are third party. Wool. Off of my eyes. I won’t spend what your asking for what’s called entertainment today and a risk I took of my own accord, accepting the possible losses, tomorrow.

Slowly charging for more of their features now, :( really sad. Used to really enjoy this app. I used this app for YEARS because I loved it so much. It was amazing for photos. I loved it because mostly everything was free and I didn’t have money to use other apps/ still don’t really. I could use the blemish tool to fix little imperfections and the tool actually worked. Now they are charging for it and so many other tools/ features. I’m deleting it after having it for so long, I feel really sad to delete it off my phone since it’s been with me for so many years, but with having everything go up in price for groceries, school, etc. I can’t afford all these extra little charges on this app and all the other apps. It’s really not that much per month from this app, but when all other expenses are added up everything becomes too expensive and that extra money could be used for something else more important. This isn’t the only app I’m getting rid of unfortunately and probably won’t be the last with how everything is progressing, having to pay for every little thing.

Hmmmmmmmm….. I’ve been using this app for a bit and I think it’s pretty good but pretty much everything is for beauty plus pro and I am not paying for that there is a possible chance I’m going to delete this app although it make my pictures slay and u cant see the green screen lines when u add a background there is a chance and I get if this app needs money to support there app u don’t need to charge for everything at least have 70% of the app free also I have a recommendation for y’all, I think you should add a recording tool so people can know how people edit their pictures, thanks for reading my review

Constant bugs. I’ve been using this app for around six or seven years. There have always been pretty substantial issues, but I’ve kept it because I truly enjoy a lot of the editing features. I’m pretty fed up though. I pay $50/yr, and there is somehow always something wrong to the extent that I can’t edit my pictures at all. I haven’t been able to even upload pics for at least two weeks, there’s just a “no items found” pop up, despite me reallowing access the my pictures library, and trying numerous different things to fix it. I use this for work, and when it’s down for several days in a row, that messes with my income. These issues are long term and should have been fixed ages ago. It seems the app developers don’t care.

ONLY PIC EDITOR NEEDED!. I don’t usually write reviews, but I’m so grateful for this app, it’s the least I can do... I’m BIG on taking pics. Besides constantly snapping shots of my daughter and fur-babies, I also post on various social media sites. I have tried every photo editor in the App Store, but since finding Beauty Plus, the others have been sent to the recycle bin because they just don’t compare! This app can do it ALL and it’s super-easy to navigate. It’s even my mom’s go-to editor now! I’m constantly asked what app I use for my pics (and I’m using the totally FREE VERSION!!!!), and HANDS DOWN, I will never use another photo editor again, so my answer is ALWAYS - BEAUTY PLUS!!!! Thank you for creating this amazing tool!!!!

Amazing…until it wasn’t. this app used to be my lifesaver. i was so happy to see so many amazing and useful features be free for use. unfortunately, that all came quickly to an end…some of my most used features like background blur, dark circle corrector, and more than one makeup colour effects are all now shifted to being Premium… it’s just disappointing to see this app take away what was free for use. it’s not encouraging me to buy the Premium, it’s pushing me to remove this app off my phone because the things i used to use it FOR YEARS are no longer available freely. i hope you take into consideration that people enjoy your app for all that it offers and how much of it used to be accessible. if this strategy is kept consistent, i’m most probably going to get rid off this app. it’s a shame, i hope you think about your free users more instead of only capitalising on the pay as you go ones.

New Version not as good. I have used this app for several years but am now researching a new option. The latest download is much less user friendly and randomly closes while I’m editing a pic, causing me to have to start over on editing a photo several times. There are also bugs with the editing tools. The new version of the slimming tool won’t let you undo the auto edit of slimming your face, which automatically happens when you open the tool and then you have to switch to manual mode. For me, this just makes my jaw and head look small. I have to choose between my face looking distorted or being able to use the feature I like most on the app-shaving off the 10 pounds the camera often adds to my bod. I also don’t like the new blemish remover either. It takes a long time to remove a blemish whereas before it was just click over the spot. So sad. This app was amazing before.

Sad to See. I’ve been a long time user of this app. It used to have so many features that other apps didn’t have that made it really unique and great for photo editing. These features were all available for free or after you’d paid for the premium features. I remember purchasing these features a very long time ago (when one time payment was the only thing needed to access premium features) only to find out they changed their model to a subscription based one … I understand the need to charge some $ to maintain the app but sad to see how they pick and choose certain features to put behind a paywall. I was paying for the subscription for awhile but every few months I kept seeing more features added behind the paywall. It’s no longer a good enough app to justify the payments so I’ll be looking for something else.

Halloween Update - Horrible.. Why has the Halloween update again made half of the beauty editing features a premium that you need to pay for ? I literally wrote a review on here about a month ago because the update made almost everything a premium feature after years of them being free. Really not impressed that the mean features of the app such as acne blur, dark circle etc have become premium. Sort your app out and make it something that everyone can use without wanting to charge for everything. If I pay for premium now and 2 months later you guys change the app back to free features doesn’t that mean you’re making a profit off me? I refuse to pay for premium when this app has had so many good features for free. I’ve been using this app for over 5 years so I’m very disappointed. Might have to start paying for a better app such as facetune if your app is always trying to charge premium then go back to free, then back to premium.

Amazing editing app. I love how this app can obviously create the image you want and lets you change how subtle you would like it to your preference. I also really like the filters they have and a whole different variety for all sorts of photo situations. Definitely recommended, I use this for my social media photos and they always turn out fantastic!

Amazing App. This app is incredible, so many of its functions are usually only accessible in paid apps, a lot of the functions are versatile too and can be used for various reasons. Would recommend the app to everyone!

Audio quality. The app was working great before, but recently, the audio quality has become muffled and unclear during recordings. Please fix this issue as it’s affecting the experience.

Super good just needs starting tour. So I got this app bc I love filters and it was recommended by a friend. Anyway it was kinda hard to make my way around the app and to this day I still keep finding things I did not know it was in the app. But overall the app is so amazing all the filters are so good heaps better than Snapchat or Instagram and I was amazed how good the non-premium version was.🤯thanks so much for making this app✌️

Good app. This app is pretty fun. You can try out the cool effects and you can change your makeup. I don’t post my photos on social media tho. The only thing is that you have to pay for certain things and you can’t save your photos unless you pay.

Good but it shows like how you have to be more pretty. It’s like when you say ugh I don’t look good in this outfit or something like that you say oh I need to dress what the photo says and it’s actually a ai so artificial intelligence it doesn’t make who you are!

Needs improvement. I started using this app years ago for cosplay pics and only 2 years ago the sub was no more than $10 aud now they charge double that and so many of the features are restricted despite paying almost $20 a month. This company needs to stop being so greedy and actually supply premium members with what they’re paying for

Extremely lagging. Stops every 3 sec. I’ve been using this app for nearly 4 years now. Even purchased stuff too. Recently it’s gotten extremely laggy and sluggish that it’s impossible to edit a photo. If I press something, it freezes for a bit and takes about a minute to operate that task. Then of course, clashes and quits by itself. This needs to be fixed because I’m on my way to unsubscribe and uninstall this app right now. I’ll probs return to this once I hear from somewhere this app is back to good. Iphone8 plus btw.

Not worth it. The app is a decent app, definitely would not rave about it or think it’s better than any other app. I wouldn’t use it as there are many free apps that supply similar stuff. At the start, the app was great but while trying to create a collage, it was become very laggy and was taking 30 or so seconds to just move a picture. Wouldn’t recommend.

Quite unhappy. I’m an old time user of this app. It’s been about 10 years I’ve been an avid user. I was using it before the developers starting adding extras and charging for certain features.. especially featured that used to be free. I was granted free access to all app updates, upgrades and special features due to my time as a happy **beauty plus** user. I’ve since changed devices as my old one was stolen and have lost my all access accessibility. I’ve contacted developers via email to have the issue rectified tho I haven’t received any reply. As a bit of feedback, I can’t stand when the developers remove filters and/or change the names of old ones. Please keep the filter names the same for those of us who become familiar with them. No longer Free. I've been using this app for few year. lots of free feature that you can choose but now you have to pay to get premium version. Understandable before a few premium features that you have to pay but now it seem like you have to pay for every feature 🤷🏻‍♀️ Before I recommend all my friends to use this app because there's a lot of free features that make the photo beautiful but now I WILL NOT recommend anyone. Deleted after it makes you pay for taking photos even without filter. Loved it for ages, and there are paid and non paid features which is fine but now you can’t actually use it anymore due to saving photos being a paid feature even if you didn’t use any paid filters or anything. Byeeeee

I love this app to bits but I have payed for a subscription twice now but when I go to use the premium features the app keeps saying that I don’t have a subscription though when i go to purchase another one it claims I suddenly already do? Paid for premium but can’t access the functionalities!!!. I bought the premium subscription because I liked the features... it worked while I was on free trial, then my credit card got charged and now the premium features don’t work anymore... that’s very annoying! I tried to do the « restore purchases » as the Q&A section suggested but that didn’t work.

Return the old beauty plus things. I was surprised all the filters are gone what’s available are all photo editing but the payment still same..return to the old one that’s better than just mainly photo editing there’s a lot of app with that now that is cheaper though..your available filters is what stands out why remove…

Confused with new updates. I have been using this app for a very long time and now after the new updates I really can’t access to sections I used to for my photo edits! I understand that you need to improve your apps UX but would appreciate if you can bring back the section or option that was available in your old version where we can select the face options! I would appreciate your developers can sort this out soon as it’s very frustrating!

Used to be better. Back then, there were many more attractive options and a variety of things that were for free. Now with premium, filters that used to be free now have to be purchased. It doesn’t make sense to me. I understand that it is the developer’s way of making money, but on top of that, they removed many old filters and the app in general is a bit annoying as there are limited options for those who aren’t on premium. I remember you used to be able to take a picture with a premium filter by watching an ad. Now there are no longer Sanrio filters, and everything has a cost. Also, with the character AI photo editor, I had also downloaded another app named prequel, which has a character editor filter for free. It seems that the character editor is the exact same art as the BeautyPlus editor. I tried changing one of my photos that I did with the BeautyPlus character editor, and they look exactly the same. ??? I’m not sure which app had it first, but I believe this is s form of plagiarism. Thank you for taking time to read my review. I hope that BeautyPlus will return to the great app it used to be.

The greed wins. I have used this app for closed to 5-6 years? Features that were once free have now changed to requiring purchasing the premium subscription. I’m not interested in your customer service rep arguing why it’s now changed. What so many people have used this app for is now your downfall and why so many people are no longer using it. Tell your analytics IT team that and probably consider putting back what was once FREE, from needing to be purchased. Capitalism wins again.

Too much advertisement and clunky. If I want to make a picture it can take you about 10 seconds to actually make one until u pass all the junk they are showing it to you. And that’s for those fastest users. If you aren’t skilled on the phone it can take double the time. The whole app is bloated with things and messages. All you want to is make a nice pic? Be leotard for frustrating waiting and clicking until u can make one!

Subscribed but unable to use the premium services. I subscribed for premium for one year, it was working well until the recent update. I cannot use all the premium effects even though I follow their instruction to restore purchase multiple times. It doesn’t work!!!! Uninstalling the app worked for few seconds but after closing the app. I couldn’t use the subscription again and bringing back all these annoying ads. I message them multiple times but no response. I am disappointed with their service. It’s a good app but the recent update make it unusable and I paid for one year but unable to enjoy it!!!!

app is NOT working at ALL.. For the last month this app is NOT working at ALL. I’ve followed the suggestions from tech support and nothing is happening. I’ve been a premium subscriber for a long time and this app has just DIED completely nothing works. I insist on a refund as a premium subscriber. Really disappointing this WAS a good app. Not ANY MORE nothing works my photos albums won’t upload to the app to do any editing. Just a blank white screen. I just repaid my full years subscription for something that DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.

Underwhelming. The app used to be quite good. However, after a few new updates, filters have really gone downhill with very little variety unless you pay for the premium one. Also, photos become semi-blurry and low-quality after applying some of the features. Truly sad.

One of the best apps with natural filters. I’ve use this app now for many many years and on those days when I just don’t feel like putting make up on this app allows me to put all natural make-up on for my videos for my business and I just absolutely love it. I don’t know how I got through video editing before. And it’s not like these videos look fake they actually look natural

My go-to app for beauty. I have used this app for over 2 years now (along with many others) and it is still my go to app for beauty. It always updates and keeps getting better. I adore this app

Not user friendly. It used to be great app with many useful and free tools, but slowly they closed off some of the settings. I ended up paying for a subscription, but the app is now completely different. Simple editing is no longer available, and they seem to have shifted their focus to adding stupid filters. I miss the old version of this app. I wish they would bring it back.

Please bring back the old version!!!. Please make the previous non updated version available!! I found it so much easier to navigate and you could fine tune things a lot more. I found a lot of the tools I used to use have disappeared & when I updated again this last time it lost all the photos I have previously edited which is just tragic. Please bring back the OLD VERSION!!!

$$$. I had this app for a couple of years, loved it Got a new phone and reinstalled and now I can’t use most the tools I used to because now they want money. Really disappointing as I loved this app but definitely won’t be paying such a high amount of money for something I used to use for free.

Prose and cons!. This is a great app and I love it! Here are some prose and cons to help you decide if you want this app! Pro: the filters are very clean and clear. Con: you have to pay to to use some of the filters you can still take the pictures but you can’t keep them. Pro: it is so easy to use! Con: it uses mobile data. Pro: there are so many filters that even tho you have to pay for some there are LOTS of ones you don’t have to pay for and you can keep all the pictures you want! I hope this helps someone, I think this app is great!

Amazing but..... Wow it is so good there is no bugs but you should get face swap, you should get it because me and friends always have to get out of the app to get to my other app it is super annoying please get this

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AAA. THIS APP IS THE BEST!!! Ok so like I enjoy cosplaying but a lot of the characters I want to do have very light skin whereas I have dark skin. Of course there isn’t really anything wrong with that but like I want to make my skin lighter anyway. I got this app and it’s amazing! It looks super realistic and I can change the tone of my skin, along with erasing freckles, enlarging eyes and more!! Also, this is all FREE!! You rarely find something this good for free. I high recommend this app!! (This review was written on the 12th of march 2020 so the completely free thing could possible change)

Very disappointed. No longer any useful free features!. I have been using this app for a very very long time and loved it. It had a-lot of free features. Now you pretty much have to pay for everything thats useful. Give it another year and we will probably have to upgrade to premium to do anything. No thanks! Yay 😇. Beauty Plus is sooo good! I love it and use it all the time, exept when you register it takes sooo long to find a isername that isn't taken, and you have to use a sp"STRONG" password ot is so annoying!!! Other than that though I certanley think "Beauty Plus" is really good!

Paid subscription is required to use this app. I was a long time user of this app and then new features were beginning to add and sadly, they have made the basic features all paid. It’s useless to use this app now without paying them money. They shouldn’t be too green and let the basic features at least free like it was before. Uninstalled this app after 10 plus years of use now.

Bit unhappy. Great application however I’ve had this app for years now and my subscription is meant to end October. Now all of a sudden all the edit options are locked and it’s asking me to subscribe to unlock them when I already paid over $70 to be a member and it’s not even October yet when my subscription is meant to end. Now wants me to pay over $80 to unlock the edits.

Brilliant. I like it, very smart and clever it easy to make the photo beautiful to everyone. It’s just expensive but if you use it all the time it’s worth it. If you use only when you feel like it too much because you have to pay a month or a year. I love it very handy. Just expensive.

OMG YES!. This is LITERALLY THE BEAT APP EVER! You can edit SOOO many things! I HUGELY RECOMMEND THIS APP! You might need some practice on the remover of items but it gets easier! The only downfall is you can’t save anything with a premium item in your pic BUT I just screenshot it and it was purrrrfect! TRUST ME you will NOT regret getting this app of everything!!!! 😆😀😉☺️

Very upsetting. I have been using beauty plus for about 4 years and the only reason I enjoyed using the app was that there was free access to lots of things but over they years you can hardly see any thing that doesn’t cost money most of the pretty filters cost money so you can’t really get any nice filters like you used to be able to .

Used to be free - now you suddenly have to pay for almost everything.. I used this app for free for about four years and now suddenly, you have to pay for the most basic edits; rendering it virtually useless. I would understand if you had to pay from the beginning but for the developers to slowly remove tools on at a time and make them only available to those who pay was sneaky and dirty. Uninstalling.

Greedy!. I have been a long time user for years and was so happy about this app. I decided to update the app today for “bug fixes” and I was shocked to see that everything I needed to use that was free especially being able to record videos now requires you to subscribe. Editing pictures all the features that I used for free are now gone and require a subscription. I regret updating and basically got fooled into updating to the newer version as it did not mention the features that used to be free will now cost money. Of course you won’t reveal that!! Deleting this app right now. What a disappointment. If I had an option for 0 stars I would select that. The newer version is garbage!!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!. This app is literally horrible! Not trying to be a Karen here, but it sucks. 1. It’s so glitchy and takes FOREVER to load 2. You have to pay for literally everything 3. The finished results aren’t even worth it Do not recommend.

I don’t understand. I paid for the full version and I love this app but then 2 days later it just stopped working

This app is a Scam!. I purchased the pro and suddenly one day i started getting ads and it kept asking me to upgrade to the pro while I was already paying for pro! Try to contact support of course they are nowhere to be found. Total scam. Deleting this app.

New update sucks. Every time there is an update, there is less you can do, and something more is added to the premium. The body shaper doesn’t work unless it absolutely detects a body, which isn’t so great at doing, and now you have to pay to use this feature, along with other features that just keep getting worse at detecting in photos. Wish they’d go back to making it simple and not everything is premium

Keep asking to renew subscription when my current subscription is still active.. This is the most annoying app ever since last updated. Keep asking me to subscribe and my current subscription will expire August 2021. I can’t use the app. The most annoying part is there’s no support to speak to. I NEED A REFUND..

Bad. All I wanted to do was add a quick beauty filter easily , this software doesn’t allow you to do that too much clutter not user-friendly. Why can’t I just easily add a beauty filter? Isn’t that like the number one thing people wanna add ?

Awesome. Perfect app for self editing I love it

Too many ads. I understand that for a free app you’d need to have ads to be able to keep it running, but this app has had a massive uptick in ads to fund their AI stuff that no real artist wants. I never had to deal with ads before, only when first starting the app or when wanting to try out certain filters, but now it’s gotten to the point of showing an ad if you just want to take ONE picture. It’s absurd, and makes the free app feel like malware.

Best beauty app. Been using this app for years and it never disappoint! Loving it and using it when I need to impress on socmed. 😇

Subscription issue. Every time there is an update you have to buy a new subscription and pay again. I paid in full for my subscription until January 2025 but the premium features don't work anymore so all my money went to waste and I basically paid $64 to have the bare minimum.

Solve every problem. I’ve been using BeautyPlus now for over five years and it’s consistently the easiest and best tool out there for fixing up photos. It’s gotten to the point where my office colleagues will send me a photo to run through BeautyPlus first before they post it anywhere. natural fixes.

Beauty Plus. It’s really fun and you can do a whole bunch of crazy filters and make edits and more! But you have to pay to download then and if you even try to screen record it or screen shot it, it won’t work.

Horrible now!. This was the best app I ever used. Photos were perfect every time! Then I updated and now I can’t take a selfie with the front facing camera. They decided to add a “group photo” option in the lower right corner but it’s so bad, doesn’t even filter properly. I completely regret having updated this app.

Duplicate charge on premium. My subscription is still valid until September this year however a few days ago the ads started to show; with the prompts to subscribe for AI premium and the photos i took for my son’s birthday using the app didn’t get saved until i paid for that again. Free Features Disappearing. When app first came out it was amazing! Now with each update free Features keep disappearing! Latest one to go is the dark circle remover...I think they realized a lot of ppl were using it so why not try to force them to pay. Way to go!

Hate the update. Got rid of some of my favorite filters including Drive In, Maurice, and Warhol as well as the double exposure ones 😩 I also hate how it takes me back to the beginning of the filters after I apply one instead of opening back up to where I was. I don’t understand why it won’t preview my photo like it did before, now it only shows the cover image of the filter (like it’ll have a picture of a model instead of my own photo with the applied filter.) The last complaint doesn’t bother me as much as the first one, but still, I’m really disappointed. I have an aesthetic account and I rely very heavily on this app. Please go back I’m begging.

Used to be good, now rip off. This used to be like the only app I found that let me use features for free. Every time I go on it there’s another thing that’s only part of the subscription package. Almost every feature used to be free but now barely any are free. I only edit my pictures for bad obvious pimples, and each time I go on the app, there’s another thing you had to pay for. A bunch of them used to be free, including the acne feature which is the only one I use. I only go on the app a few times a year bc I don’t post often, and of course they just made the acne feature part of their subscription plan that I’d need to purchase. For one pimple. Ugh. Time to try another app again.

Free Trial False Advertising? Programming Error?. I downloaded the app. On the first screen it said “7-day free trial enabled, yet when I click the pink Continue option to advance the next screen states “3-day free trial starting today”. Under Apple a purchased it says trial good til 7.21. Needlessly annoying. So which is it? Then, no visible FAQs or Help. Ineffective face retouching of creases by the eyes, eye bags, double chin needed for photo retouching. AI is not impressive for these specific edits. Also, Avatar feature bears zero resemblance to a person’s face that is in the starting point for the app to build your avatar. A lot of hype. Good if you want to make someone look uncharacteristically not like their real selves.

All in one photo editing. I don’t typically leave reviews, but this app is significantly more awesome than any of the other hundreds of photo editing apps I’ve tried before. The filters are amazing, a huge variety of effects, offers the ability to be creative, has touch up features & stickers. Needless to say, I love this app. Look no further, this is the one you’ll keep going back to for all of your photo editing needs.

The filter called “C22” formerly called “Individual” is gone from the app. Please please please please and please I’ll appreciate if this filter can be brought back. I’ve used only this filter for almost a decade and it has now become part of my identity literally as a travel and lifestyle blogger using only this app for all my videos and pictures. All my friends and family use the same because I introduced them all as well as a huge amount of my followers (thousands) We’re so broken by this. I love this app butttttt. I love this app, but recently when I take pics it has the same picture I took at first for every initial picture. It’s a strange glitch. Do you know why this is happening? I re-booted my phone and it’s still doing the same thing. I take a pic and then another and another and all the pictures are exactly the same. So weird. I’ve never had this issue until recently.

My fav!. I really love this app, it just enhances the pictures and is fun to use. I have been using this app for years. The only concern I have is that they are starting to charge little by little. I did notice that the certain filters that I started to use a lot, my "go to's", they started to charge me for, and the ones that I never or rarely ever used were still free. I thought that was a little shady, but I don't want to start looking for some thing else because I've use this one successfully for a while.

Great potential. Look, this app is really cool. It had alot of great features to edit your photos to make them look PERFECT. They even offer AI to help edit your photos until they are exactly what you want. Not only that, but they offer cool things like, make a movie poster for your pet! Or make a collage wallpaper. These are all really cool. One big problem. You have to pay for EVERY template. I get that they need to make money some how, but atleast make one template free, some of us can’t afford to pay for this membership, but really want to try the cool features. I love that app, but please atleast give us one of them to use. Thank you.

Paid features. I love this app, I’ve been using it for years! 3 things I’d improve: 1) ads - they are annoying! 2) paid features - I’ve never paid for an app, and what BeautyPlus doesn’t offer I find in some other free one. It’s annoying to be going back and forth - would be great to have all features available. 3) some features were disabled - I enjoyed enhancing or diminishing the light in my pics - now it’s a one stop click. I’d rather do it myself though.

Good features, terrible management. So I’ve been using this app for a long time now and I’ve become really comfortable with the features it offers. I even have the paid membership for it. However anytime now I try to use the paid membership features, it acts as though I need to pay again and pressing “restore purchases” does absolutely nothing. The app is subject to constant changing of layout, changing and removing features, and undoing basically anything you’ve learned from it. I really want to keep using this app but if this continues, I’m gonna have to go somewhere else.

Update fixed some major issues.. Originally I was in love with this app. Then after years they changed it all around and I couldn’t get a decent picture. They have fixed some of the issues. But the design i still can’t stand. It used to be you could edit your pictures right after taking them before saving. Now you have to save it go back to beginning of app, find the picture and be able to edit things like pimples etc. the save it again. It’s a pain. But I am able to get good pictures again so I changed my one star review to four! Used to be 5 though.

Done with this app. I've had premium for over a year and during that time I would've given the app 5 stars. But now "premium" is no longer premium and the app has begun charging additional amounts on top of the premium price to access what are essentially just premium features. It's a pathetic and transparent cash grab to pump their own user base for more money. This is just the first step in what will become a never ending pursuit to squeeze users for every new feature unveiled. The final straw was that they now got rid of the one font I had been using for over a year as a watermark---deleted for no discernible reason. It's not like they have many fonts to choose from to begin with—maybe 30. Over it.

Great app but too many technical issues with HD retouch. I want to give this 5 stars since it is almost perfect but there is a ton of issues with the app that can become increasingly irritating. Having to pay a pretty high amount per year for premium access is at least doable but there is constant technical issues with the HD retouch not working and also the annoying amount of pop-ups for new features being added which I honestly don’t care about. Please fix these issues.

lack of customer care. this application is very expensive, considering that Instagram ticktock and many others have free filters. and even so you have most of your filters as useless, since there is always a peach that cannot be removed, in many the makeup is excessive and it is not possible to regulate. there isn't an option to create your own filter so it's not worth the money. They should improve what little they already have! and remove peach like marks that cannot be removed.

Loved this app for years but…. Wow my first review of an app. Mainly because I’ve loveddddd this app for years! As some other reviews mentioned, their updated version suddenly started requiring subscription for a majority of the features…I only use blemishes and dark circle function and they’re both subscription only now. Unfortunately this makes the app useless for me now :( I understand it takes resources to build the app and so all the other super enhancing features requiring subscription makes sense but these small tools too?! And I’m sure all the ADS that this app has would generate a bit of revenue too… super disappointing; with a heavy heart I’m say bye to the app now lol

Editing photos so easily. This can you help you edit photos so easily and it’s so amazing. You can do avatars and it’s so beautiful. You could like put virtual make up on the person who’s in the photo you can delete stuff that you don’t want to be in your photo like if you wanted that a person or a lot of people in your photo you just wish you could delete that this is a perfect game for you!

BRING BACK THE OLD BEAUTY PLUS. Ive had this app for over 10 years, recommended it to family and friends that’s why Im giving my first Apple Review to you because I genuinely loved it UNTIL some months ago when all the worth while features where changed to premium. Im talking features from background blurring to under eye correction. Im completely dissatisfied and disappointed with the app as I don’t have a use for it anymore given that what it has to offer for free is less than other apps out there such as Face Tune. I really dont want to delete the app, please bring back some of the old features. Since I was asked to give suggestions by the developers I will say that MY ONLY SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO BRING BACK THE FREE FEATURES THAT YOU NOW WANT TO CHARGE AS PREMIUM. Bring back free: -Acne -Under Eye -Blurr I have no problem in the app adding new features and charging then but how are you going to expect someone thats had this app 13 years ago to now have to pay for features she has always used for free.

Subscription charged me for the year even though not requested. I enjoyed my 7-day free trial, but decided against subscribing due to there not being much of a need. I deleted the app and never thought about it. However, I noticed I was subscribed to one extra app some time later. When I went to investigate and then appeal for a refund, I thought all had been settled. I’m now still dealing with this, but now past due on when I could get my refund. I’m beyond mad at this situation and disappointed in both BeautyPlus for not having any options for me and Apple for not helping me figure this out.

I like it. I love this app, except I would like some changes added. First of all I think on the home page the one that were there before could be there forever. I was trying to find a filter but it wouldn't show it anymore it would be great if there were more what for example Starbucks drink am I kinda stuff. I would definitely recommend this app for ppl whose parents don't let them get Snapchat. You can use all kinds of filters it just takes a little getting used too.

Love it ❤️. I Love this app. But there is one thing well maybe more than one but I don’t like. The first one is that a lot of them you have to pay for, and only the ones that are free have worse cut quality. The second thing is whenever I try to create an anime character it always says unable to detect face, BUT LIKE I HAVE A FACE!!!!!! AND IM NOT JUST PUTTING IN MY EAR!!!! It would be so cool if u would fix the issues i talked about. I recommend getting this app if you like to take pictures, there are alot of pros and cons though. If your willing to pay .99 cents for features then go ahead, but us poor people would like this to be free.

it is not like before. I had to delete the app because the edits, which was what I used it for, are no longer what they used to be; I understand that they update and correct errors but it doesn't even edit anymore, the image remains the same. Before the app was free and charged a subscription for certain editions but now it wants to charge for all use of the app and it is understandable but pay for something that I use once a month or every 3 months and only because I liked the app and by the way Pay it so you don't see any change because it's not worth it, with regret I say goodbye

Update caused crashes and glitches. Certain features such as whitening teeth, slimming and reshape are all glitching and not improving the picture. I pay for the features in this app. I’m very disappointed with the update. Nothing seems to be working and any time it’s finally beginning to work, the app crashes. I hope it can be fixed soon. I just paid nearly $40 for the annual fee of having the exact features I’m not able to use. And now I’m not even able to save a picture.

The stamp has to go. I used to love this app. I took/edited all my photos using it. After the latest update, there's now an ugly "Beauty Plus" stamp in the corner -as if we all want people knowing we're editing our photos 🙄. You can crop it out but it's huge. You end up losing most of your photo. Going to a new photo editing app. Bye, Beauty Plus 👋🏻 They fixed the above mess, but omg, stop changing things!! I used to use the video feature. It was easy. Press the button and record. Now you have to hold the button down the whole time. No freedom. You only get 20 seconds as it is, and now the timer is under your finger so you never know how much time you have left. Stupid update.

Used to love it… Hate it now. This app has gotten ridiculous. I do not ever do reviews but this one has made me so angry that I really want to say something about my experience. I used to love it and bragged about it to all my friends and it just keeps getting worse. Editing options that used to be free, are now only available if you pay for them and the ads that pop up non stop make it impossible to even start editing an image until you’ve been in the app for way longer than you want to spend… very disappointed and will be finding something else cause I’ve had enough of the crap changes…

Tbh, this app is amazing and to all the people who think it’s unfair that those who buy the membership or whatever get the other stuff... the stuff they have provided is is already awesome and has a lot! I love the filters and makeup decisions. My friend was like “Awesome!” When I told her it could make for forehead smaller, lol. Also, quick hint: You can tap on the ones with the diamond on them and do them, then just take a screenshot of it. Make sure to do it last though, after you do all the other stuff! Would be 5 but..... I would give this app 5 stars but when I take pics I can’t seem to get rid of that annoying red glow on my lips. I know they have the makeup option (which I don’t really like) but it seems there’s a lipstick on your lips by default when you just want to take a regular retouched pic. You can’t even take it off, it’s just there. So when I take pics with no makeup and my lips look pink, it looks weird. I’m black, so I don’t have naturally reddish pink lips. Fix this. It shouldn’t be mandatory to have this. It should be optional.

Good app but... I am white I’ve seen a lot of reviews of people complain about beautyplus being racist so I had to test it out I went on beauty plus and got one of my black friends and they used the ai filter and then there was smoke everywhere I was really sad about this I would’ve gave 5 stars but I’m white and support black people so I gave the app 3 stars so maybe they could fix the app I was really sad cuz I was using the app for most of my irl photos so.. that’s why it’s not the greatest most of the other reviews are 1-3 stars and they’re probably all true beautyplus if you can update this app I’d really appreciate it ! ~rosie~

It was the absolute best till the latest update. I’ve used this app for several years and it’s been my favorite even with all the bugs. With the recent update it’s all gone downhill. First and foremost I used to pay 4.99$ a month for this and when the new update was installed it kicked me out of the paid features. I thought it was a glitch so I closed the app waited a bit then tried again. It still failed, so I decided to turn off my subscription so I could get it again. When i looked i noticed the price had been bumped to 6.99 which is ridiculous. Not only that but they changed a lot of the filter to overblown versions of what they were. I wish they would go back to how they were. Will be looking for a new app.

Great App But I Suggest…. Cons first- Cons: Great app but it would be nice if they had brown/dark brown skin friendly makeup looks some look extremely ashy. It would be nice if you could pick the variation for skin tone. Also the lashes, they aren’t the most realistic I’ve seen from an app and it would be nice if they had options where the top was full without have lashes added to the bottom. They need to work on the bg removal of the app it’s probably the weakest feature, it distorts the bg very easily and doesn’t remove big objects well. Pros: extreme variety in filters Great price for all the app features Templates and ability to save favorite filter and looks and to start your own photo album of edited photos Everything you need in ONE app- bg removal, slimming and face editing features, makeup I love it.

Feedback. Great app, but I have some feedback regarding the feature where you can improve photo quality: it doesn’t work well on faces that are far away in the photo. The algorithm “guesses” the facial features but it makes them Asian-centric. For example, I’m a Caucasian girl and when I tried to improve the quality of my photos, my eyes became really small and my lips became thin. Please fix this limitation in the Artifical Intelligence. Thank you!

It was nice until it wasn't 😞. I have used this app for years, started using the free, then upgraded & even upgraded to premium for a while, but the rate went up and it wasn't worth it so I went back to free version which had a few items that I used, not a fan of filters and stickers. But now you change the basics items to premium rates and that is a deal breaker for me. I am upgrading my phone and you will not be an app on my phone anymore because of the ridiculous changes. It was fun while it lasted and I turned a lot of people on to you (which I regret now)

Would have been a 5 star. I would have rated this app a 5 star, since I have used this app for the past 4 years and have loved it. Today I went to use it and now some of my favorite features I am now being asked to pay for?!?! This app was primarily free for so long with a lot of features that were free and I have suggested many friends to use this app. Now I can’t even make my pictures black and white unless I subscribe and pay a monthly fee.

Acne tool. Give old loyal users back the acne tool and just restrict it to new downloads if you’re really going to make people pay for that too. It’s one of the most simple tools in the whole app. I would be perfectly okay with watching minute long ads if it meant we had access to the acne tool. I really don’t understand why you would take it away from the people that have already been using it for years. Everything else? Charge for it if you must. It’s a great app that tons of people love, but a lot of us are about to just delete and find an alternative. ✨just allow ads like every other app✨ You’ll get twice the amount of money like it’s obvious

This is sad. I’ve had this app for years. I do really love it and enjoy the features. It’s really sad tho that features I used to use for free before all these new ones were added, have now been also added to “plus” version. Why is that? There’s not really much that can be done to touch up pictures with out subscription. I loved how it was useful to change lighting or correct shadows and color/tone even fix blemishes or dark spots. Now every little thing is pop up to renew subscription. What is there left to do for non-subscription? Other than a few makeup filters AR affects?

Great app. I basically don’t ever pay for apps or review them. I had to review Beautyplus because even the free version is great. I’ve used the paid version on my friend’s phone and it does have even more great features but I’m find on the free one. I’ve been genuinely impressed with this app and it’s super useful and I kinda love it. Took one star off only bc the app always tries to get you to let it track you, and it’s kind of sneaky about it. But overall it’s a great app. Thank you to the developers!

I miss the old app. I have had this app for years probably close to 6 years. There has been a lot of updates and some of them have been good. I absolutely loved this app I used it every time I took a picture. Recently though more and more of the free features with the update have costed money to use. I used to love the accessibility of this app but the new makeup features are what I don’t like about editing apps. The slim feature and acne were my favorite because without using the auto settings you could easily adjust whatever you wanted about your photos. :( now they’re not even free. I may delete. To the developer … as a avid user I miss the old app.

BRING VIDEO PAUSING AND FILTERS BACK!!. I loved this app until the split video recording was taken off. It was great for Instagram as you got to pause at any given time and continued recording for like 15 seconds in total. Now you are forced to only make videos and can not “stop” until the end. Good silly videos on the “before” makeup look, pause to continue your makeup and continue filming, which then splits into another scene of you with makeup. So when reviewing video it was like an instant transformation. Please bring it back and keep it there permanently with the filters!!!!!!! It’s trash without it. I and many other people loved it so much!!! It made you look so cute and it was so fun! Thank you so much!!!!!! ❤️

PLZ READ!!!. Ok so this app is AMAZING!!!! However, it includes a premium feature. If u don’t want to spend the money (like me) the app is still FANTASTIC!!!! There are adorable filters, silly filters, really really weird filters, and filters for light and makeup and stuff. It’s all super cool and there is nothing bad for me to say but I wish the premium wasn’t so expensive, otherwise I would have gotten it 😕 it’s $50 for a year!! Soooo yah 😭so delvelopers, PLEASEEEEEEE make it less expensive, I’m sure you will get more people buying if it’s cheaper 😁😁😁

Amazing app. I love this app!!! It’s my go to for filters & touch ups. I have downloaded a lot of apps but none have stayed with me as long as this one. I love how many free filters they give you. You can purchase others if you want. I’m not a purchase type of girl. I would love for more free filters to come in the near future. Every time there is an update I run to see if any new filters were given. Try it. You’re love this app. Please give us some new free filters. Been waiting for awhile but all I see are paid ones.

Data.... I used to love this app for long time and tbh this is the best selfie app. But until now, somehow this app took so much space in my phone (about 32GB total), which is half of my phone storage. And my phone keeps popping up the “short storage” “failed to save” because I didn’t have enough space. I was trying to figure out how come it takes so much space. But couldn’t figure it out. And today it hits to the point where my phone got so slow and I was frustrated, so end up deleting so I could use my phones at least. But again, this is the best selfie app!!! I’ll try to re-download and see if that would change.

I mean it’s good.... So I do love the app and everything you can do with it like the makeup, hair dye, filters etc. but the app is NOT perfect 👌! Yeah, it has all the fun things you can do but you basically have to pay for the entire app! Sometimes I just go on it when I’m bored or something and want to look at myself while making funny faces. I just HATE it when I have to pick a photo from my photos and edit it instead of just taking the dang photo and editing it! Other then that I LOVE this app it is literally the BEST! Oh, and app developer PLEASE🙏🏻 send me something back.

Charged for full subscription but showing up as free version. I have used this app for a while its great for editing especially removing stuff from photos and lots of great features but- from time to time it suddenly acts like I have the free version and trys ti get me to pay AGAIN for premium. I currently have premium until December 2024 and its saying I don't and to pay. NO way to contact the app customer support etc - so they are trying to force me to pay $49 all over again for a year subscription when i already have - more than once this has happened. In the past I even had two subscriptions at once but j refuse to pay again.

Free Trial Not Honored. The app itself is fine and it edits great with ai retouch of tough things to fix on photoshop… so that’s wonderful. My issue is surrounding advertisement of a 7 day free trial and then discovering the annual premium charge coming through on my credit card before 72 hours. Inside the app it appears I’m fully subscribed to premium and it thanks me for my annual. I was deciding whether or not to keep this app but now I’m not going to. I don’t support companies who advertise one thing and do another or trick consumers. I reported it to Apple as well. I also got a message from the company saying my free trial must have ended - does less than 72 hours translate to 7 days for you?

Worth every penny. I use BeautyPlus for pretty much every picture I take with people in it, primarily for light realistic touches like skin smoothing, makeup perfection, thinning face, etc. and it does a seriously fantastic job. I know there are tons of filters and features I don’t use in the app, and I’m sure they work great as well. I used the app during the free trial and knew right away it would be worth the year subscription. Highly, highly recommend.

Rly good. I love this app so much! Idk 😐 if this has to do with the app or just my phone 📱 but this app deleted from my phone 📱 somehow and Idk 😐 why! Every time I want to use this app I hv to I go on the App Store and search it! I checked everything! I looked on settings: it was there! I searched it up on that “app search” and it ONLY showed it on settings so I couldn’t go on the app! Maybe it did this because I didn’t do the last update but this never happened before! I’m very upset 😢 and I looked at other reviews and I saw the next update was horrible 😫! I don’t know 🤔 what to do! I NEED ANSWERS!!!!

Something is wrong with the app. Used to be my favorite go to quick photo editing app. Fixed blemishes, smoothed skin, etc. so easy to use. Over the years they’ve been moving more and more of their basic fix it items into their subscription only items, which has been a bummer as I purchased some functionality but not others because it was included in the free trial long ago and now I am required to purchase a subscription to continue to use it (ex blemish removal). But this isn’t my complaint. Suddenly, none of the photos on my camera roll are accessible (yes, the app has permission for this) and I’m no longer able to edit my own photos. Don’t know what’s going on but it makes the app useless.
