New Update Has Functional Issues. Much like all the other recent reviews, the app no longer works after the refresh of the design. Can't connect existing glasses and logging out and trying to log in doesn't work. It says password is wrong but it's definitely right, it might have to do with 2FA not working properly in the View app. When I was logged in, it said the glasses are connected to another account which is not possible when I only have one account.

Update brings problems with old ray ban stories. Since the update to Meta View from Facebook view, the Rayban stories first generation are difficult to connect. Once you’ve done the update and lost connection. It’s impossible to add the Rayban stories first generation again to the app. When trying to add the ray ban stories, first generation as new glasses you can’t choose the first generation, you can only choose the second generation to add. So you need to uninstall the app and reinstall in order to be able in the app set up to add the Rayban stories first generation. If you have a second pair of Rayban stories, you can’t add them..

App is trash. Got the Wayfarer Stories as a birthday gift. Used them a few times for my son’s basketball games, no problems. A few months pass, I decide to use them because the wife and I will be zip lining and white water rafting. I take pictures and videos and they show in the gallery. Here’s where the problem lies: the app will not load them. I keep getting an “unknown error” message, which seems to be happening because of the newest update to the app allowing 60 second record times. Ray ban customer service suggested clearing the app, and ultimately uninstalling the glasses, deleting all the pics along with it. I’m not about to lose all of my pictures because of this app. Make a fix.

Dumpster Fire Reflective of the Brand. This is by far the worst app I have ever downloaded in the history of owning an iPhone. Constantly have to redownload, never can connect to the inexplicably erroneous “Ray-Ban” network which prevents use of the glasses in general. All of that on top of the shady engineering that went into the glasses just shows this was a cash grab experiment in the wearable device department for both Facebook/Meta and RayBan. Most often than not, they don’t even stay connected to your device for longer than a few minutes. I regret even making the purchase solely at the hands of the app devs, you all royally dropped the ball on this one. I shouldn’t have to call support every single time the glasses need to be updated. Wish I could rate no stars, you all don’t even deserve half of one.

My experience. Hello all, I’ve had these rayban views for over a year now. I typically use them when I fly, they are very convenient and don’t require much of anything. All I do is click a button and I’m recording flight. Overall I like them, I would say they do have some issues connecting to Bluetooth at times and the recording is not full screen. The video quality is great but could be better. Great product.

No “join early access program” option. I own two of these glasses yet I do not have the option ro join the early access program. I have updated the app and the glasses have the latest firmware. Also, there is no direct way to contact support but through this method.

a lil help?. I really like my glasses, but for some reason, I can’t get the ‘hey facebook’ feature to work. all of the settings are on but when I try the voice command the glasses says ‘I can’t do that on your glasses.’ I can’t find help anywhere online in reference to this. thanks!

Needs Apple Watch feature. I’m going to get married in October. I’ll be wearing my Ray-Ban Stories prescription glasses. It’s obtrusive to reach up and press the button every time I want to make a video or picture. Especially if I’m facing my bride as she’s walking down the isle. It would be really nice to have an app extension on my watch that I can tap as needed to take photo and video of her coming down the isle to me. Please make this a feature! Before October! That missing star in my review is that. Everything else is perfect. When I go on walks my music and podcast are right in my ear not obstructing hearing my surroundings. If I want a picture or video while out it’s a tap away. I love it. Except that one missing tap for Apple Watch in those moments where it’s really needed.

Can’t even update. Just received my glasses for Christmas and trying to update them. Been trying since last night and every time I get a failed message stating it can’t join the temp wifi that the glasses create. Well, that’s a lie because I checked to see if my phone was connected to the Stories wifi and it was. I’ve favtory reset the glasses twice as well as deleted the app and nothing works. It’s connected to my phone via bluetooth, I’ve already confirmed that. Even after favtory resets, I’ve made sure that the app connects via bluetooth and even checked in iPhone settings that it’s connected. Still a no go. What a disappointment!

Bring back picture features. I won’t even discuss how this app works in a negative way. I will only discuss why you took away the features of me editing photos that was my favorite part that I could zoom in or do the shake feature or do the postcard why did you take it away? I’ve been using it since the day. I got them and now all the sudden it’s gone. Sounds like a Facebook thing to do.

Connection to ray ban stories for local Wi-Fi doesn't work. I have two pairs of the day ban story glasses and neither one of them allow me to join the local Wi-Fi "rayban stories". I did I hard reset, reinstalled the app, re- paired both the glasses several times and still nothing. This is just ridiculous and looking on line it seems everyone is having the same issue with these.

Update Needed ASAP. Just recently bought a pair of Ray-Ban Stories after upgrading to an iPhone 14 with iOS 16 but couldn’t even update the glasses with it. After getting it updated with a borrowed older phone I still wasn’t able to download the photos z& videos from the glasses into my phone. Might have to return them soon unless there’s a new update that fixes those issues becomes available.

Images won’t download to app—UPDATED. The phone and speaker functions work fine, but images won’t download to View app. I’ve been trying for a couple of days and keep getting a message saying that an unknown error is preventing my images from downloading. I can’t find anything in troubleshooting or a way to get any customer support on this. It’s frustrating as the camera was the primary function I was interested in. I thought I was about to be Spider Jerusalem but instead I’m just some guy with musical phone glasses that takes pictures I can never actually see. UPDATE: downloaded the recent update, still won’t download images. This is ridiculous. Taking away a star. ANOTHER UPDATE: I figured out the issue. I had to turn off my phone’s VPN. And I had to do it multiple times because it keeps turning itself back on. They’re doing everything they’re supposed to now!

Bug. After the update impossible to create an sccount.. Unknow error when trying to merge Facebook and Instagram… And no way to re-connect my facebook glasses After the recent update everything OK… Thanks

Trying to get some answers. The meta glasses are fine as long as you do not need help from customer support. I am trying to find out why I cannot get easily access for the new Ai beta. I cannot find it on this updated app. Can someone respond with an answer.

The most important feature of this app doesn’t work. Whats the point of having ray bans, taking pictures and videos and the view app won’t download the pictures n videos?!?!? So annoying! This is what the app needs to do properly! I don’t see me doing anything wrong, I have my glasses in range, on and with a supported connection and the view app fails me. I do everything im suppose to do but this app continues to fail to download the captures. Smh. I spent too much $ on these glasses YALL FIX THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

Can’t set up due to app error. Just tried to set this app up but it is stuck on the “login as …” screen. When I click my login as (me) the app continuously returns immediately to the same screen. Tried hard closing it, deleting and reinstalling the app, and restarting my phone. Very frustrating! I don’t recommend this app. Based on all the other negative reviews, this app seems really buggy.

Love Ray Ban but, these. Meh.. I was excited thinking these would have the similar capabilities as Snap/insta360 with huge fashion potential. Product management took 25% Snap, 25% Bose, 25% Ray-Ban, and 25% 1990s gadgetry. 1. Glasses aren’t horribly bulky and 99.9% of the people you talk to while wearing won’t know they are camera glasses. 2. The audio is just okay. Listening. 3. The mic, well. Go to five below and get yourself the same quality mic. 4. Video clarity isn’t horrible. Not go pro or dji quality. The app is straight garbage. Product managers rushed this to market. Hopefully they iterate on it…. I’m sure they are working on a better product that will replace this. 6. The app is super basic. Video playback is horrible. 7. Down load is slow. I assume they are restricted by the hardware as it connects via wifi. 8. The editing tools are really limited. 9. The collage tool misses anything of value. 10. Limited size 4:3 and portrait view are your options. 16:9 wasn’t. In the end, this product is worth $150-$200 (that’s a stretch). It’s made in China. Feels like it. Lexotica and Facebook. It’s purely a novelty for people with disposable income. Insta360 go is probably a better and more functional option. Plus, going to the bathroom becomes super creepy for men if someone does know these are camera glasses. This is an honest review by a guy who paid full price.

Unable to export photos from View app to iPhone. I have had my Ray Ban Stories and Facebook View app for a few weeks now. I have always had trouble exporting any pictures or videos from the Facebook View app. When I try to export a video or photo from the View app to my phone I get an error saying “ export has failed. Try again? No matter how many times I try to export anything, it fails with the same error. Any pictures from the Ray Ban Stories show up in the app with a explanation mark ! in the upper left corner of the photos or video’s. There is no way to get photos from the glasses or video’s into my phone without using the view app. The glasses and my iPhone 13 Pro connect via the Ray Ban Stories wifi, but exports still fail repeatedly. Any help would be appreciated.

Options. Can we have an option where you don’t crop the videos? I see it when the video is rendering, you’re cropping in such an awkward crop… like I’d prefer to see a wide angle look than an overly cropped video. Like the photos have better depth of field, give videos the chance to have the similar approach. Please help give updates to keep the video without any cropping… 🙏🏻

Not buttery smooth. App has issues with video playback, pairing is sometimes an issue, glasses also overheat when transferring to phone, and battery life is terrible. This feels like a prototype and the initial power up was frustrating since glasses were dead, but no messages told me that. Needs to transfer fast like airdrop and not take so long “processing capture” Definitely gonna be returning the glasses.

Interesting but buggy and limited. Constantly having connection problems as the phone transitions between Wi-Fi and 5G. Other apps work seamlessly after the transition between networks but Meta View frequently needs to be relaunched. Meta View AI provides inconsistent capabilities insisting that it cannot get real time information then turns around and provides the latest news, but only in extremely short clips versus a summary or any serious content. Meta View insist it can’t get real time information and only has access to its trained information, yet provides the weather. many other inconsistencies exist and its answers about its capabilities. Many times meta view will simply not respond and provide a tone indicating it failed. I find myself repeating my prompts many times some days. Overall, it’s a good proof of concept or even a beta application, but does it really represent as commercial product at this point? It seems to be the lesser of the LLMs out there and considerably smarter than the daft bot named Siri. Meta AI is not bad, but it is rather juvenile in it’s capabilities. The MetaView app bugs In its inability to connect to the Internet are a bit frustrating.

Waste of money. The glasses keep resetting on my face every time it slide down a tad bit. Keep switching between all my devices when I put my music or calls on glasses it’s always disconnecting and reconnecting and that’s annoying!!! Having the app open to upload pics is lame! Why don’t it just do it directly automatically! The words on the lens is also annoying I see it in the corner of my eye….. and it was cool till they took off the montage feature as well….

Need more insight into storage. One thing that is frustrating is seeing within the phone’s storage setting that the app is using a lot of data. I went into the app and deleted all of my media yet my phone was still showing the app having 18 GB of documents and data. The app needs to better document how much data it is using and explain why deleting media does not change the data shown being used by the phone’s storage setting. I don’t actually believe the app was using that much data, but since there was no real way to verify anything I just logged out, deleted the app, and reinstalled. They should make it easier than this, but one setting I’ve changed is the auto save feature. You’re better off auto saving to your camera roll, allowing iCloud to upload your media, and deleting the media from View to avoid having a storage issue. Not sure how this will work out so we’ll see. Again, FB should make the app more transparent when it comes to how much space your media is using within the app.

Make sure the app works before buying the glasses. I bought a pair of stories and I really enjoyed them! The color and style of the glasses were amazing and even the Bluetooth functionality was cool, but the app did not want to work at all. I would try to sign in only for it to take me back to the welcome screen and ask me to sign in again. I’ve tried everything I can to get it to work but to no avail. There really needs to be a way to use the glasses without the app.

Ok so far!. Lots of bad reviews made me worried to even give it a try. It was an easy and painless pairing and setup, and my first photos and videos worked with no problem. Sound quality for music surprising good. I checked memory usage and thus far hasn’t been a memory hog (albeit limited use). Ray Ban optical quality is great. I’ll hold off on a five star rating until it has passed the test of time. My wife liked mine so much she got her own pair with a style that she liked better. I can’t comment on battery life yet. Per the app and my Facebook settings, privacy shouldn’t be an issue although I don’t trust Meta. I’ll be watching to see if people find additional stealth tracking (yeah, I know my phone does it regardless now). Too bad individual liberty is no longer valued. But I digress—app functions well so far!

Cannot download pictures and video to the app. The first time I tried them I took two pictures and press the big green download icon in the app and it works. Next day I took more pictures, 22, and press the button and nothing it’s downloaded. Every time I tried the icon shows a loader then stops and nothing happen. There’s no error alert or some feedback. The counter badge still says 22 pictures, that I can’t download to the app. Very disappointed of this.

Support for multiple glasses?. Just picked these up and have really enjoyed them so far. Ended up buying two so I can have one as sunglasses for when I’m wearing contacts and the other for prescription lenses. However it does not look like the app supports more than one pair of glasses. Or does it?

60 Second Recording Option?. I’ve read multiple places that there is now a 60 second recording option however I cannot find it anywhere in the app and there is no support for it on the site and doesn’t seem to be any information on it anywhere. Talking to other people they said under capture preferences however I do not have that option and my app is currently fully updated so I do not know what to do

Can’t connect to messenger. Sooooo, really wanted to love these, and I do for some reasons. That said, one of the main functions I was excited about is unusable because the app keeps directing me to a broken link when I try to connect to messenger. Idk if anyone else is having this issue, but I just deleted and redownloaded messenger and it STILL didn’t fix the issue. I cannot connect to messenger at all, what a bummer!! Also, if you have bangs like I do, the bangs often hang in front of the camera lens, so be sure you brush them out of the way for a good shot lol

Early access program. Trying to join the early access program, but I do not have the option under settings in the app.

I can’t get past the account setup. Update 10/31: Workaround - Create a new account with new email. Also disappointed that there is no charging cable with the product! And the promo for the RayBan was misleading because I assumed you will be able to see overlays of apps on the glass. I like the AI voice prompts but feel like I was ripped off here. 10/30: Here I am. Purchased a $350 glass but can’t get past setting up or associating an existing account. I went through a number of steps to sign in and associate an account and now I can’t login as it says my password is invalid. Can the onboarding be better? And in general across any Meta business products can the troubleshooting instructions be made concise?

Won’t update glasses.. Spotty connection. I can connect with Bluetooth and listen to music but try the Meta View App and no luck. I cannot do the pics or vids. It connects every other time I try. Now there’s an update that I’ve tried to install dozens of times, resetting glasses, deleting and re-installing the app but I get the following message every time: Wait before update Your glasses aren't ready to start an update because they're still turning on. Please wait about 15 seconds and try again.

Ray Story’s. I really do like the glasses they work really good just a little bit getting used to but overall I love the video in the can go from 60 seconds to 30 second videos and this will be really good for real’s and story your I mean this is awesome. I really enjoy the system the way they are. You can talk on them as a phone calls. Listen to music while you’re just you know in your car or out at the park without Carrying around the radio I very very very much love glasses

Random issues at most inconvenient time with downloading. I’m having trouble with the app not allowing for videos on the glasses to download. I have no VPN active, have forgot device, reestablished connections, and still no progress. The app shows I have 12 videos to download. Upon pressing the download button, the circling line activates before returning to the same download icon with nothing having downloaded. There’s no trouble shoot suggestion or thread online to easily observe and address the issue.

Will not function without updating glasses, system error. While setting up, prompted to update, download, then when installing to glasses “system error”. I’ve spent hours troubleshooting. Nothing works. Glasses are unusable. App will not allow circumnavigation. I have tried every possible solution I found online. Spending 5 hours trying just to set up a device isn’t acceptable in 2023. Waste of my time, and now I have to go through trouble of returning them.

Don’t waist your money. Got them in today and was super excited. I go to download the app to start pairing and it does absolutely nothing. Every time I try to log in it just resends me to the sign in page even after resetting my phone, uninstalling and re-downloading, changing to an older version of the app, as well as trying it on my roommates phone. There is no WiFi or phone signal issues either. Trying to contact customer support is a joke you have a better shot at winning the lottery then getting them to help you. My best word of advice is don’t purchase or return them asap.

I thought I’d be able to use the beta functions. Watching everyone on the net try out these cool new features I really thought I’d be able to do the same thing and doesn’t seem like it can happen and very hard to reach anyone but definitely still like the glasses just afraid if anything were to go wrong there may not be anyone to reach out to.

Works as advertised. App works. Connects to glasses and allows full functionality. -1 star as you have to use this app to import media. Would prefer direct ingestion into the camera roll. I also have concerns with privacy issues. Music works well and sounds good. Photos and videos are easy to take and convenient

Buggy, network error very common issue. Just got the sunglasses but couldn’t activate, pop up window shows network error. I tried calling customer service and said there are lots of reports about the problem and will get fix on the next update which nobody knows when.

Meta update is terrible. Before these were “Meta Stories” they were Rayban Stories and the app had issues. But now the app completely does not work. I’ve followed every instruction, factory deleted, pair/unpair, off/on etc. Everything I was told to do and this new app does not work at all. I cannot access the content in my glasses. What a worthless piece of junk I own now. $300 for some basic Raybans😡 never get a dime from me again. Thanks a lot Meta

Stories are buggy to say the least. Connection is extremely unreliable. I am wondering if this is an iOS15 (new release) problem and will be addressed by Facebook. I hope so. Taking videos and pictures actually work really well and I can upload them into the app without issue. Where is fails miserably is Bluetooth music listening. Listening to any music (library or streaming) cuts in and out. And that’s having my phone in my hand and looking right at it. Further, the Stories just flat out disconnect for no reason at all. So not only do you get music cutting in and out, you get a few minutes of it before the connection is lost. Oddly enough, go into settings (iOS) and the Stories show connected. I can’t compare these to iOS 14 so I will hold onto them thinking maybe this is due to the new software but if not, these are going back. I like the concept but it’s way too buggy.

Terrible connection issues. I have two pairs of meta glasses. Neither will connect. I tried all instructions - deleting and reinstalling the app, factory resetting glasses, factory resetting case, forgetting the glasses in Bluetooth settings. Still won’t connect. What’s frustrating is I can connect to the glasses via regular Bluetooth to get them to play music etc so it’s clearly an app issue and not the glasses. Meta is a terrible hardware/software company. Leave it to a social media company to be bad at this.

“Unexpected error occurred…” constantly. Been trying to log into the view app since Christmas morning, unsuccessfully. These Ray-Bans are a $230 paper weight without use of the View app. When I try logging in I receive the “unexpected error please log in again later) over & over & over again. Meta/Facebook is absolutely worthless when trying to seek out help. It’s next to impossible to contact them for support. I’ve emailed them multiple times regarding the issue and have yet to hear back from them. VERY FRUSTRATING AND DISAPPOINTING!

One of my best Investment this Decade. I love how easy it is to charge very un - noticeable to the eyes others which i love just look like a great pair of Ray Bans … the thing is learn to play with it before you bring it into public because it does connect to music but you can turn it off !! It will talk back but you can also lower the volume and turn it to the minimum so it not noticeable i promise i love these glasses!!! definitely get the warranty and it’s change from regular glasses to sun glasses In seconds I LOVE THESE GLASSES

Worked fine until photos came in. Was very excited to use this with my new Stories glasses. I found that when photos and videos are transferred from glasses to phone, the View page distorts and no longer gives access to the settings button / my picture. Also the word “Captures” looks cropped on the top and bottom. Is there any fix to this currently? I’m using an iPhone 12 for reference. Thanks.

Fix it!. “Updating your glasses “. Over 20 minutes later and still not working. Receive message can’t connect to the temporary Wi-Fi network. I had this problem before and then the glasses miraculously started working. I currently can’t use them as intended. I am able to listen to music but can’t take photo or video. And when I could take photo and video, I was unable to download my captures. I was told to return them for a new pair, but I’m not so sure the new pair won’t have the same issues. What to do? What to do? These cost too much to be having issues affecting the basic functions of the glasses. My two cents.

Flakey Technology. This product (glasses or app or both) are not reliable. Connecting app to iPhone 12 Pro Max required multiple attempts to set up and download new firmware. It was lucky that worked. Once I took pictures and videos, I could see thumbnails but could never download the image or video after multiple attempts, restarts, and different approaches. Other functions like Bluetooth headphone, voice commands to take pictures and videos, touchpad control worked. Great concept for hands free video but the implementation is not working for me and online support is not robust. Glasses were comfortable!

Unreliable after almost 2 hour usage. Overall excited about smart glasses and thus eagerly bought this 2nd version/iteration per the good early reviews. All functions worked great during two hours of continuous usage (voice chatting with friend thru messenger, hey meta, playing music, taking pics & videos and importing them). Though once I took them off in which my iPhone 15 switch the audio automatically (cool 👍) to speaker phone which was really cool, yet once I put the glasses back on that's when they stopped working reliably. They Went from working 90 to 100% to 10 to 15%. Examples being The Meta assistant now rarely responds when I say hey meta and my friend who I was talking to fine for almost two hours thru messenger can not hear me any longer thru the glasses (fine when I switch phone to speaker). Also it no longer will import media from glasses into meta view as it did during the first two hours of usage. Exciting idea and future yet I'm not so sure if Meta can get this right (reliable/always works as advertised) as they do not make their own phones or phone OS. Apple's version of this since they own phones and software I bet would great I'm sure!!! Might be taking these back unfortunately.

Problem with new Meta View. New app isn’t working just a loading screen when I try and open it.

Waste of money. Whats the problem with this app now? Its sounds so unaccommodating to use . It suddenly close immediately once i open it. What a waste of money if ever the app is not working with my glasses. Can someone fix this one or else i will ask for a refund on my sunglasses.

Montage Feature Taken away by Meta. This app is absolutely useless, since updating I can’t access the montage feature anymore. All in all, a really bad experience with Meta especially with after service care, as I can’t even contact anyone from Meta as to why Meta has taken away the Montage feature, and this so called “upgrade” - in reality has been an absolute enforced downgrade

App keeps crashing. When connecting to my Rayban glasses the app download all the photos I took. But when I tried to save them to photos the app automatically closes. After restarting my iPhone the app closes as soon as I open it. If I delete the app and reinstall it I lose all the photos. Very poor.

Forced Facebook Account. If you don't want a Facebook account, this app forces you to have one. I wanted the glasses only for videos for Instagram ( still under the Zuckerberg umbrella), but there is no option to use the Ray-Ban Wayfarer Stories just for Instagram. I'm not setting up a Facebook account so it's return of the glasses and bye bye app.

Hardware is great. Not a fan of software.. Not a fan of the meta app. Have first generation Rayban stories they always worked on Rayban View app. This new meta app does not connect with my sunglasses. So I can’t use camera anymore. I basically have a really expensive pair of ear buds. I was going to purchase the 2nd gen’ glasses but not anymore, unless they put a micro sd card, so I can future proof my gear and protect my investment/purchase. If this connection problem gets rectified I will definitely write a new review but for now the software needs more RnD.

App or the sunglasses something is not working. The app sees my sunglasses as two per when I pair it, I have only one by the way. Also after a couple of uses, it gets hot when I try to download the images and it gives an error to cool down. And after all comes to this state it is connected to phones Bluetooth but the meta app doesn't recognize the sunglasses. The only fix that I found is to unpair it and repair it and sometimes factory reset then use it some more after sometimes the same story starts again. it is quite a tiring and boring routine for expensive sunglasses. Any help I will be appreciated

Useless app. The app is completely uselsss, recommend not installing and wasting your time..

Rayban glasses. The glasses keep getting to hot and have to keep turning it of your cool down

Suggestions. Allow siri, allow apple music,make the meta assistant smarter for simple functions such as playing a certain song, allow video format such as 16:9 or 9:16. These little things will make so much difference

Pairing is impossible now!. I’ve owned & use Rayban Stories for years. This new app arrived and I found that while my Stories device would connect to my iPad using Bluetooth, it wouldn’t connect to the app. Please fix the app!

Updated App sign in not working. Since View App updated the way we had to sign in, I’ve lost access to my RayBan Stories sunglasses. It kept asking me to input the 6 digit verification code sent to me via email, it’s been a week and yet, no email! Not in spam either. Please fix this!

View app. Have had many glasses for a while now and just started today 24/2/23 the app keeps shutting down for now reason I have deleted the app off my phone n reinstalled it and it continues to shut down ??????

Limited use. I bought the glasses instead of another gopro, less likely to be noticed and mugged for a camera. Things that would be nice to have... Remote photo taking with timer from the app, video streaming, and an open api so they could be used like a dash cam on the motorbike or used in conjunction with opencv for object detection and possibly used with software like MS Teams. Ray Ban Glasses with no way to charge them. I recieved my glasses today and downloaded the app - I think they will be great but I did not receive the adapter for charging - so I have a cord and a case but no way to plug it in - it does not work with the iPhone adapter - so not sure what to do???

Cool glasses but limited to 30 sec. video 👎👎👎. I was super excited when I got my Ray-Ban Stories from the Sunglass Hut store but it took a second to get disappointed when I saw Facebook mentioned on the box… Then I became so frustrated when I realize that I am limited to take only 30 seconds videos and I felt screwed! Thumbs down 👎👎👎👎 Please update and remove the 30s limitation. This is really annoying and should corrected asap! Thanks in advance…

New glasses, app tries software update and fails repeatedly. Got brand new rayban stories. When paired with the iPhone, the view app tries to install a software update on the glasses but always fails after 2 minutes saying there was a problem with the update and I should retry. I have tried factory reset and re-paired the glasses to phone but still the same issue. Gets stuck at update. Seems like the product is pretty unstable so far.

Absolute Garbage. The app can’t update. Won’t connect to the glasses properly with its integrated wifi. I spent a premium for glasses that don’t do anything that non-digital glasses wouldn’t do. Don’t buy these until they put out a dependable product.

Cannot import captures. even thumbnails show up on the app, i cannot import them. i was looking forward to updates. this time, it still doesn't work.

Good but needs improvements. I bought my meta raybans a few days ago, I love them everything is working flawlessly so far, the one recommendation I do have is when you record from the glasses, it’s in a weird aspect ratio .. if the file was able to fill up the whole screen for video creation this would be so much better imo as a videographer - I bought these to get short BTS clips while on sets but the aspect ratio is mid.

Unethical. I've tried everything but of no use. I'll have to wait until the end of this month so that Rayban/Meta sorts the issue with View app, according to their customer services. What a Christmas present! Thanks a million to Rayban for minting money and selling a defective product - unethical!

Had issues with App… but resolved. If your app hangs trying to update the glasses… restart your phone first. If still an issues… uninstall app and restart phone. Reinstall app and it should work… if still an issue the reset Raybans, reinstall App and restart phone. Works great now… love the added features and 60 second recording is better… hopefully they keep adding time.

simply does not work. You literally have like the worst app in history.. all I want to use it for is simply transfer my RayBan stories photos and videos to my iPhone, that’s it. The app bugs, shuts down, crashes, fails to import, etc This app is useless.

Good but can be greater.. The import is long which is fine but there should be a way to only select the clip we want to import and not have to import all each time, its way too long.

can no longer access my content. After the latest update, it seems Meta is blocking me from accessing my content unless I allow them to access all photos on my iPhone which I am not prepared to do. This was not how the app worked up until recently and now the product is worthless to me and I lost access to all my previous photos and videos. Essentially held hostage until I give up my privacy. This should be illegal, I want my money back. The worst part is Apple has a setting that would allow the app to only import photos but the View app wants access to photos on my phone that has nothing to do with the View app. Absolute garbage!

The glasses can’t update + pairing issues. Tried connecting the glasses on both my iphones (iphone 11 and 13) and had to reboot/shut-off/re-install app 2 times for bluetooth pairing… Once done I couldn’t get past the device update which fails due to an “wifi connection error” Really wanted to like them but will end up returning them

Not able to log in to my account after the last update.. I have been using view app for my two pairs of Ray ban stories. Early this week after the recent update.! I can’t log in to the new Meta. I’m afraid that I wil lose all my videos and pictures that I had. I couldn’t get hold of any one to help???!!

Production breaking bug pushed. The last update three days ago I CANNOT get the Wi-Fi connection on the glasses to work. iPhone 14 promax I bought the iPhone March 10, 2023 and set up the glasses immediately. Confirm that a capture and download worked. The new update for the app push three days ago has broken the Wi-Fi on the glasses for me. I can Bluetooth connect and the pair but once I go to update the software or download captures it never can seem to connect. No matter how many times I reset or reboot, my phone and the glasses and factory reset the glasses.

BROKEN, STORAGE HOG. Had to momentarily offload app cause it took up so much space. Reinstalled and lost alllll my footage. STILL SHOWS UP AS USING 25GB of STORAGE SPACE WHAT GIVES not to mention it collects way too much data

Amazing!. My glasses arrived today from Amazon. I quickly plugged in the charging cable to the case, and the glasses in the case started charging. I downloaded the app, and waiting patiently for the green light to come on with full charge. After that I downloaded the app to my iPhone and followed the instructions for setup, and read the instructions on the functionality of the glasses. Just as my work shift was done, I went out to my car, and put them on. I said “hey facebook, take a photo, and was amazed how seamless it was. I took a few videos, then turned on some music with a tap on the side of the glasses. I was amazed how good the speakers are being that they are sitting up above away from my ear canal. I laughed and smiled as I sang to the songs on my way home, used the volume slider, moved to the next song, went back etc. I am blown away. I understand that there are other smart glasses out there, but this pair just feels so smooth, and responsive. I cant go back to my AirPods now that my ears stay clear of obstruction. I am so happy with these that I quickly purchased another pair of regular (non polarized) glasses. I am going to bring them both to my next eye doctor appointment, and get my prescriptions in them both. Great job facebook! This is definitely a step in the right direction to fully function AR glasses! Impressed!!!

Problems with Facebook view. Was able to set ray ban glasses with no problem .But not access the rest of app. What is up ?

Get Zuck’d. You know what, for $400 CAD (only $200 more than typical raybans) you get a bluetooth headset that has assistant with video features. Really don’t hate it as long as you don’t value your privacy much.

App SUCKS!!. You can not download your pictures once you disconnect the sunglasses for charging or turn them off if not using them.Has Rayban Wifi error. If you did you have to reset them do forget the device in Bluetooth and reconnect to download pictures.

Unable to change capture length to 60 sec and change notification LED brightness. Been using the Rayban Stories sunglasses for only a few days and so far i’ve encountered 2 major issues for me: 1. Poor app, bad connection, not worth the price and time to buy. Very bad connection not even the app itself always have problem with connection on the first attempt till to the last end up return it, waste of money and time to look for it, rayban and facebook you should know better

Need to be able to pair more than one pair. I have prescription based regular glasses and another for sunglasses, but I can only pair one at a time per meta account. Would be nice to do two with same account.

Garbage. One thing I hate about these glasses , they’re always playing music when I don’t want them to or you’re not allowed to switch between when you want them to play audio and when you don’t

Is there a way to reduce the volume of the assistant?. The app is really nice & works very well. But I can’t seem to find a way to reduce the volume on the assistant — is there a way to already do this?

Fixed. With the new update, removing files from the app deletes saved files. I just want to remove processed files from the app. Update- this has been fixed.

Sound is terrible. The audio is just ok when the volume is less than half. But sound becomes dull when passed more than half the volume. Also the battery charge wont last long as expected.

The best app for 3-D Ray-Ban glasses. I thoroughly enjoy using my product and video ad family gatherings, concerts, and other events highly recommended 100% five stars

Great app, some tweaks though.. This is a very good app but there are some issues. For one, the dock isn’t touching the bottom of the screen, and that is an easy fix please change this. Another issue is that you have to manually import photos. Please change these and it will be tip top shape!

Need an update soon. It would be great if they made an update to be able to activate the camera freely from the app, without having to press the button on the glasses!

Ray ban stories bad experience. I used them about 3 times and it was working properly. After a week I tried them again and it was time for an update, I tried updating it for about an hour and it always said that there was an error in the view app. Now I can’t update them so I can’t use them. $250 down the drain. Save your money or buy something else.

They Never Connect - Bought 2 pairs $1000!. Forcing them to connect to this app is stupid since it seems never to be able to connect. Worked good for awhile maybe 5x. Reset nothing, bought new color and now Neither work anymore told me to forget the device I did it and no cannot get to work again. Never no support!!! 1 star

Flaky file transfers. I often struggle to get content to transfer onto my phone. I have to force close and reopen View, often multiple times, to get it to transfer the content. It’s not reliable.

Used product for one month. After use of the product for the first month I noticed jump and date is storage on my phone also makes you sign the ridiculous terms and conditions of Facebook. Most likely it's just a screen door for the NSA and CIA. Too bad some other company didn't come out with this I would've kept my device unfortunately you can't work with people like Facebook.

Review is for the app. The product is fantastic..... When it works. The app is terrible and hardly ever connects to the glasses. I'm able to use them at headphones always but they rarely connect to the app. I've unpaired and repaired a million times. Even that process is maddening with how terrible the connection is. I've sent glasses back and got replacements. The issues persist. Incredibly disappointing

Works great! Easy to use!. Just got my Ray-Ban metas, instantly downloads my videos and photos to my phone, easy to navigate! I can’t wait for the “hey meta look and tell me” feature 💯

Ruined with updates. Worked great for half a year but the last app update and/or last firmware update is very unstable. Glasses reboot all the time while I am using them and the app fails to import videos with "An unknown issue prevented import..." error after which videos are lost forever. Very unreliable.

Install update error. Unable to install the update in the glasses hence I can’t use this app noir the glasses for photo/videos. Hopefully their is a new update for this, would like to test the glasses out. And yes they are connected to my iPhone 13 pro max blue tooth on IOS 15.2. Can play music and shows I’m connected to the Bluetooth. So my phone is not the culprit here

App needs improvements. App takes up too much storage. Also importing can only be done for the entire set of photos on the glasses. Would be great to be able to pick and choose

Récord and perfect sound. When I record my videos my voice sound perfect and the same for the music but the app have some issues because some times it get frozen

Wrong date on photo stamps. It’s May 25 and photos taken from the Ray-Ban are dated February 22. Really messed up the timeline in the View app and in the Photos app. Also you need an active internet connection for the app to allow you to download the media off the glasses, so basically non-functional when you’re traveling in remote areas with no internet. No good.

Pink lines are formed when enhancing pictures after new update. Fix the pink lines created after editing and enhancing pics. It started happening after latest update

Not able to share. Once a video finishes loading on my phone I click share and it doesn’t it freezes and nothing

Buggy. The video and glasses are great, perfect for content creation. Unfortunately the app and connectivity issues don’t help and at this point I can’t even download the videos I’ve taken despite multiple unpair and repairs. Would love to return for an updated review once the app works more smoothly.

Impossibly Imperfect App. If you like losing Bluetooth connectivity, having to delete the app and to reload it on your phone every couple of weeks and having to reselect all your previous preferences like a fist time user and losing photos and videos. This is the app for you. So much work needs to be done to improve user experience!

Terrible app. This app takes up way too much unnecessary storage on my phone. The music choices for montages are absolutely horrid. Why can’t I have the ability to choose from songs that are saved to my phone or a way to choose from songs that we hear on the radio. This app crashes a lot. It’s lame

Rayban glasses. I love my new Rayban glasses. I bought two pairs (clear and dark green shades) but I can only link one pair to the app. Please update this app to use multiple glasses please. I don’t want to return a pair but it’s useless to have more than one pair right now.

Bring back Montage. I still own use the RayBan Stories and my favorite and key use of recordings videos was being to use the montage feature to create fun videos to share with friends and family. Now that’s gone the app has lost its most popular feature and useful one at most for creativity at a snap.

app has crashed and can’t access anything. I gear that I may have lost all my memories on the app because it has crashed and every time I open the app it keeps asking me to restart my glasses even though I’ve done so many times, I even reset my stories glasses but still I get the same message… I can’t see my videos, access settings, nothing but the restart glasses screen appears

Interesting. Pretty cool, wish you could switch devices for the Bluetooth speaker function. Seems unnecessarily complicated to move from an iPhone to an iPad when listening, nearly have to factory reset.

Problem Importing Photos / Videos. My glasses are paired, but it doesn’t import the photos. The reason can be about the new update, because before was ok. Can you answer me about it, please? I’m loving the features and I don’t want to lose the photos / videos recorded.

Fix the apo. Already bought the wayfarer, download the meta view app with iphone 12promax , pairing normal, until updating the glass, receive message cant connect the glasses ( the app cant connect to your glasses Wifi. Make sure your glasses are near and turned on. What to do now? Reinstalling the app more than three times and still like that

Should have a MANUAL alternative. My glasses worked flawlessly for about 2 weeks until a software update happened. Now the BT just connects to my phone, but NOT to the software which means I can’t use my glasses AT ALL. I’m willing to wait until Meta figures out a fix, but in the meantime I’d love to retrieve my stored videos and photos from my glasses with a simple USBC connection that should be hidden in the arm gold of the glasses.

Videos start overexposed. After the last firmware update, all my videos start overexposed (completely white) and then adjust to a normal image after 1-2 seconds. Extremely annoying, because now I need to trim every video before sharing.

Not working with iPhone 14 Pro max for image download. Works with my iPhone. 12 Pro Max and latest iPad Mini, not with the new iPhone… Please update… App on iPhone 14 stays in a loop saying “Checking for Updates” but never actually gets past this and allows sync…

Not connecting. Glasses work great. Main issue is the Facebook View app not acknowledging that the glasses are paired. I can see they are paired since it said connected in Bluetooth and I can hear and use them without a problem. However, the app still says it cannot connect to them. I've tried everything in the book and nothing works 🤷🏽‍♂️

Never Connects. Constantly missing opportunities to capture cool video because the glasses never connect reliably. Super disappointing. I have spent more time trying to connect these glasses to download anything. One of the most frustrating experiences. I would get an Insta360 instead. That has been super easy to use and has been reliable.

Can't get the audio to work. Can't get the audio to work. It worked once and stopped when I put them to charge. Had to be a simple solution but there's is no troubleshooting in the app and the FAQs are all about why you should buy these. Do I go to the ray ban stand for help?

Great app. Like this title, says, this is a great app. It would be great to have more features in the future, like the ability to activate Siri. can’t complain at all though, does what it’s supposed to do.

Average. It gets the job done but overall it has a weak connection and connectivity. Facebook can do much better in how photos/videos sync. Also Bluetooth connectivity is weak compared to other tech gears.

Cant Pair More Than One Pair. Oversight by engineers to only allow one pair per account. Might be in the minority here but got one pair for work with blueiq and second pair wirh sunglasses for outdoors. You can still use second set as bluetooth speakers but you cant activate or add to account. That also disables the cameras, buttons, or swipes. Add ability to have more than one pair please

Ok. I respect the simple UI But my god is it aggravating bot to have a settings tab. Plus my photos won’t save for n my phone. Overall really happy with the glasses
