Doesn't show device location correctly.. My AirPods have gotten lost in my car twice in the last month. Obviously my problem, but the only reason I buy AirPods is so that I can track their location with this app. Well the first time it showed them "4 hours ago" at school, 50 minutes away. So I drove there in the dark and searched for them in the rain. Turns out they were with my the whole time. Second time they showed two hours away "5 days ago." "Play sound" has never worked regardless of connection, either time or at home. You have to hold the case next to your phone and OPEN and then it takes about 30 seconds for the phone to say "AirPods found." Still no sound. I will not be buying another Apple device and honestly at this point I expect some kind of reparation for their abhorrent service. None of these devices come cheap. But maybe their point is to purposely do this so you buy another.

Got my ipad back. I was at the airport going through security. I had to remove my iPad to go through security. I placed it in a bin and the conveyer belt starts moving it along. But, by the time I cleared the body screening, it was gone. I alerted security and they tried to help but didn’t find it right away. So, I went to my phone and found the “Find my” app. I clicked on my iPad and saw it was in Concorse C but that didn’t help much. So, I turned on the sound which plays music rather loud. There was a plane ready to take off but they couldn’t take off until the person with my iPad turned the sound off. He eventually said he must have picked up the iPad by mistake (If you believe that) and security met him at the doorway of the plane. I couldn’t prove it wasn’t a mistake and was just relieved to get my iPad back. Best app ever!!!!!

Find my app had me standing in the middle of the street. I lost my AirPods somewhere near my grandmother‘s house. When I go to track them it takes me to the middle of the street and there are no AirPods to be found. I feel like I lost them on the side of her house by a construction dumpster but the GPS doesn’t take me anywhere near the dumpster, it takes me 50 pieces away from the dumpster in the middle of the street between her walkway in the walkway 20 feet away from hers there were no AirPods the AirPods were in a bright, orange and navy blue case. They were hard to miss outside with the natural elements, anytime I walk closer to the house. Assuming maybe they are in the house or close by the door. The tracking would tell me I was walking away from the AirPods, even though I was standing right on top of them according to the GPS in the middle of the street where there were no to be found I think the app might need to update the AirPods were fully charged, so I hope I find them but the GPS tracker is not helpful

Lost AirPods. I misplaced my AirPods a week ago and can’t find them anywhere so I went on the find my app. Last place scene was 3:30 at a park. Later that day I went to the park and the find my wasn’t letting me do the close range thing so I didn’t find them.(btw the icon for them was the AirPod case, at the time). After going to the park I locked the AirPods and told the app to notify me when found/ opened because that would update them and show me where they were. Next day I open the app to see two earbuds as the icon. Someone took my case and left the pods because they knew that the pods were tracked, and not the case. Find my dose t work. Honestly you would have an easier time just buying a new set upfront because You WULL NOT FIND THEM DUE TO POOR ENGINEERING FROM APPLE. I have now shifted my focus to eBay and Facebook market place trying to find a AirPod case posted a few days ago and trying to read the number on the case. WHY CANT THE CASE BE TRACKED. I know that the newest AirPod case is also tracked but why does Apple act like they can’t see where the case is at all times even when not opened for weeks. They think we think not. Desperate times call for desperate measures. And at this point it’s not a case I lost, it’s my manhood, my dignity and only desire. I need this case. It’s personal now. You think I care about the case. NO it’s not about the case, but about my mental health.

Did not help me what so ever. Today i was looking for my airpods and could not find them anywhere. I pulled out my phone and used this app. It kept saying it was outside on the cold, wet fricken grass. I was looking in the dark while stepping in the wet and disgusting grass that was not even my property. I spent 2 hours of my life depending on your app when it did not even help me. Later i found it in my couch. This is not a awesome app if you lose things. I mean i literally just spent 2 hours of MY fricken life using your app when it wasn’t even right. To me this app needs a lot more work. This was not my first time either. One time i needed to find my apple watch, on the counter the whole time, and so i pulled out my phone so i can use this app. The noise worked but it didn’t tell me if i got closer or further from the watch or not. Again 30 more min. of my life wasted. A LOT OF WORK NEEDS TO BE DONE.

READ THIS BEFORE GETTING APP. Ok don’t get me wrong I love this app and I love the find my phone feature that warms well but I don’t like the travel feature. I love seeing how where my brother is but why can’t I see how long till he gets here?!? I want to be able to see how far away he is without calling or texting! Please developers fix this feature and make it nice! Also the find where your friends are is Inaccurate like really. I look for my phone without pinging and do you know where it shows where it is? On the street of my house. How frustrating is that? I even have precise location on. Developers please fix this! I’m sure unless the developers fix this that someone else will make a better app for this. This app is useable but it’s really not the best. Thanks for reading my reviews! Inconsistent. When it works, it is wonderful. One time I found my AirPods in a place where they would have gone undiscovered for weeks if not months without Find My and the sound being played. Most of the time (and more recently) when I use the feature to play a sound, it just doesn’t work. I’ll eventually find what I’m looking for, but not because a sound is getting played on it. I also get a lot of bugs with the gps. There was another instance where I went hunting around a cemetery (I had been at a funeral) to look for my AirPods when they were safe at home in a pair of pants which I found before going through the laundry. Today I left my phone in a different room and asked for a sound to be played, but all I got was a banner notification to tell me that ‘find my’ had been activated.

Trash app. Anytime I try to find my AirPod pros it says they are in a completely different location than where I find them. And if I were to be north of my house it would put me anywhere but north. Anytime I try to play the sound it doesn’t play it unless I am connected and if it does after hundreds of tries it “Plays the sound” but it is so quite that not even a dog can hear it. 99% of the time it does not connect to the device. Anytime I use the find it feature, it never finds it always says to move to a different location or get a better signal and trying to hide the fact that the app does not work well. The app never works if the product is low battery and powered on. This app is trash, but it has the potential to be better if the creators just fix it after years of it not working. This and many more apps/features of the iPhone was the reason why I was scared of switching to apple products.

Missing feature. I love this app and use it all the time. However, there is one feature that would make the app perfect. My main use of the app is usually to see how far away my wife is when she is on her way to meet me or coming home from work. Currently, the app will easily show me directions as if I was going to go meet her. I would love it if I could press only one button and she how long/far away she is from coming to my location. I’m sure many people use the app for the same reason. How long til this person gets to my location? You are preparing dinner or meeting at a movie and you just want to know how long til they arrive without having to text them. I realize I can click a few times to open directions in Maps and then reverse the “to and from” but that’s a lot of steps. I live in NYC and traffic is crazy so it isn’t accurate to assume the travel time is the same from both ways.

AirPod mechanics need to be fixed. Recently lost my AirPod pros gen 1. I knew I probably left them in my moms car and on find my they were at my moms work. No biggie, I’ll grab them after school. Side note, they were fully charged from the morning. I look in the car after school and there nowhere to be found. I tried to use the pinpoint feature to find them, and to play sound, but they were listed as offline and wouldn’t connect. A few days pass by and I still can’t find them. Today is Saturday and I lost them on Tuesday. I finally check one of the few places in the car I haven’t checked, the console, and buried at the bottom are my AirPods(case and both airpods). If find my doesn’t work through a plastic wall, how could it ever help you find your AirPods. The gps feature didn’t even link them to the right part of the house, they were listed on the opposite side of the house to the garage.

I don’t know why people are rating this negative. I mean, why are people rating this app negative? I rate it the most useful, amazing tech tracking app on earth. I haven’t used it many times, but every time me or one of my family members loses a device, I go to Find my, and thee directions are very direct and clear. I found out about find my one night when my dad lost his phone and we couldn’t find it. Find my, back then, was just a random game that was on my iPad when I bought it from a mall, but now it has finally come to use. And it is very, very useful I’m telling you. So, I don’t know why the rating is only 2.9 right now, i think this deserves a well earned five star. Read this, use this, consider this, download Find my. Trust me, these other reviews don’t make sense. Download find my now and you won’t lose any of your devices or important belongings again.

Useless to find missing AirPods. The app is pretty much useless to find missing AirPods, if you lose the case with Both AirPods inside, you’re out of luck. It will never connect to the signal and the find feature never works. It will also show you the location from days ago when you last flipped it open or will show the location in a place that you haven’t visited in a long time and no way, you left them there. My AirPods were home the entire time and I found them with no help of the app. Then weeks later I lose the left AirPod at home and again the app is useless. It won’t connect to the signal at all even with the case right next to the phone and open. Then when you activate “play sound” for left airpod, it will play the sound of the case or the right one which again doesn’t help. I tried to see if the find feature “works” by asking it to find objects that I see are nearby and again the signal doesn’t connect.

Reliability is really hit or miss. This app used to be fantastic, I even went and bought eight AirTags. However, nowadays, it seems like more than half the time I get a “this device is unreachable” message when trying to find different devices/AirTags. All the AirTags have new batteries, and can be found by Siri on my Apple Watch. But not the app. When trying to find something, having the device only beep for about 30 seconds is only a little helpful, as in I know it’s somewhere close enough to hear. This is where the app used to shine, being able to get a little arrow and an approximate distance, like a game of getting warmer or colder as you would try to find something. Sadly, a good amount of the time when this app can find my devices there is no longer an arrow, I just wander consistently hitting the “play a sound” button and hope to get close enough. I really hope these issues can be resolved because this is truly one of apple’s best ideas.

Horrible. Showed I was browsing around a mall in the middle of the day while I was slammed at work…which is NOT in a mall!!! I’ve read several reviews where this app is ruining relationships between friends & family due to the inaccuracy of its location services while tracking humans. The only explanation Apple gives now that they own “Find My” in response to ALL of these reviews is that the location shown in that/those moments is “approximate” because Wifi is turned off on the device or the building you are in has poor signal. What a JOKE that a multi BILLION $ ground breaking technological conglomerate “can’t” improve this service! I am infuriated at the number of reviews I have read with people having this specific issue. YET - all APPLE BRANDED devices are PRECISELY pinpointed and found within a matter of minutes. Yeah that’s not strategic at all. Screw your personal life just as long as you keep using our products?! What a joke!

AirPod pros. I lost my right airpod pro. This app has been absolutely no help. I had just lost my case about 5 Months ago and had to pay to get another one. I have tried everything in the App to find my right airpod pro and no matter what I try I’ve got nothing, not a single hint of the last location where my right airpod pro was. For the first time when I really needed find my, the app had not done me any justice what so ever. The only thing I have got on repeat is where my airpod case with one airpod in it is. I have looked everywhere for the last month and tried everything but have got absolutely no help from find my on my right air pod pros last location or where it was before it died and went off line. It keeps telling me “your AirPods are with you and have been found” when both my air pod pros are most definitely not. This is Straight bull.

Address does not update as fast as the map. Love the new Find My app, especially after we all updated to the latest iOS. The “Live” feature is amazing as I can see my family on the move. However, ever since the new update, when the map updates their locations it still shows the address to their previous location. Even an hour later when the map shows them home the address still shows their work address. This is minor if you know what you are looking at, but if it is a location you are not familiar with, having the address update with the actual location is essential, especially if you are concerned about the whereabouts of a loved one. Please fix this ASAP.

AirPods As A Gift. So I bought some AirPods for my daughter as a Christmas gift and also a pair of pros for myself. (I’m hiding hers) I have been using mine and don’t want them to show in find my phone until Christmas comes and I have such a hard time removing them from find my phone. I have to put in my Apple ID so many times and it does nothing. I was able to temporarily connect them after I kept trying but once I disconnected and connected them again they came up as my AirPods Pro’s again, which they are but I don’t want her to open up find my phone and notice them and then ask where hers are. I love them so much and didn’t know I needed these pros in my life that I can’t even wait until Xmas to use mine lol. Please make this feature better. Perhaps even the ability to change the name and icon in find my phone so she thinks it’s another random apple device. Maybe others have come across this issue as well.

I think they should make a better app and update it. Chat this app isn’t it, I mean it’s good I guess but one time I lost my one of my AirPods in Georgia, (I live in NY btw) and I was using find my and the beeping sound or whatever does not work. I could not find it until I got home and it gave me a notification that my AirPods were found near by. Another story: Literally 2 days ago I lost my AirPod case and yesterday I found it in school in my desk, it was saying it was in my house in the garage then in the dinning room! I really couldn’t find it until I went to school, but it did say “at house 13 hrs ago” I guess I’ll give it that. Another story: 3 days ago I left my AirPod case in my in my pocket and it was saying “at house 3:58 pm” but it was showing that it was still at my house so I was so confused, until I checked my pocket and I could it. It may just be me because I lose my stuff all the time but still when I do I wanna be able to track it properly. 2 stars for effort.

No help at all. It’s simply just a useless tool put on this phone to mess with your brain. Out of the 10 years I’ve had apple products I’ve never been able to find one of the items wether that be my phone, AirPods, or watch and it’s utter garbage. For example for finding you’re AirPods there’s a sound display thing you can click so it projects noise, now the AirPods 2 actually do make noise but idk if it does through the find my app because I clicked probably 100 times and all it did was say connecting and then went back to where I could click to play it so that obviously does not work in the slightest and is just useless on its own so I tried the find nearby option to direct me to where it was and it would search for a signal with the camera on but blurred and then ask me to turn on the flash cause it’s to dark…im sorry but idk when finding a connection mattered how bright the screen was for the camera looking at literally nothing and everytime it would tell me to switch locations I would and it would buffer and just keep saying the same thing till I traversed my whole entire house and even walked around the neighborhood a bit to see how accurate this is. Like i said it’s very very useless I cannot begin to explain how bad of a system this actually is it needs desperate improvements it’s very sad to be fairly honest.

I don't care about that!. This app was great for a long time, but after a while, it just didn't work. The main problem is with the time. My devices, that are with me, will always show their current location, info I don't care about, because I already know! And then my family devices, that I do want the location for, will not be current. I got on at 6:45 and it told me where my family devices were at 3:38! I don't care about where they were over 3 hours ago! And most devices don't even show the location! At all! It will either say no location found, which is rare with devices but it says this about everything else every time I get on, or it will say that the location is not sharing, when it is! Even after I set it up and it works, it will later turn to this! Apple needs to pay attention, because they have a lot of work to do with this app! Edit: I just looked at 6:40 pm and it shows me my devices location from 2:05 this morning! No thank you! Make past locations a separate feature apple! Don’t be stupid apple! We all know that you are better than this stupid person you’re pretending to be!

Horrible App ca. I am an Apple user since the first time I got a phone. I love apple and prefer it over any other company. Apple is great and does wonders for me except this Find My app. This app truly is garbage compared to anything Apple has EVER made. With the new technology always coming out and it being extraordinarily brilliant, there is no reason this app should give people (such as myself) so much trouble. This app is supposed to detect lost items. I will tell you one thing it detects and that is my aggravation level with it. I lost my airpods in my own home and tried to use the app. It is extremely off and is very slow. The one thing that aggravated me the most was the fact that the "Play Sound" button never connects for any of my devices. Before I came on here I did everything and went to Apple support online and read the suggestions thinking it was something I was doing wrong. Sure enough I had everything allowed in settings and there was just no true explanation on why it doesn't work. I love Apple and I hope they do something about this app because it would truly do wonders if it did work in the way it is intended to.

“Won’t update” doesn’t mean “no location found”. I will sometimes use this app to see where my wife is in case I need to see if she’s in a better position to stop and pick something up or to just simple see that she made it to work ok without disturbing her. I have found that the app will locate her and then about 75% of the time it won’t update her location. I will see she’s halfway to work and then doesn’t move for 20+ minutes (which always makes me worried that something happened to her). I will have to either go back to the start screen or force the app closed and open it again (so it can do it again). When I do a search in the Apple support network, all I find are issues related to “no location found” even though I don’t say that (I say doesn’t update location). You would think that when you are one of the largest consumer based companies on the planet, you could afford to actually care about you customers (you know, the people who made you one of the largest consumer based companies on the planet) experience.

Fix to Find My app not working ( location unavailable ). I was travelling from Hong Kong to China, then when I tried to find my devices using my Find My app it’s unable to find my iPhone and Apple Watch, both devices are on my hands!. I tried so many methods from the internet and none of them were helpful at all, even tried logging out of my iCloud account which deletes all my downloaded music, I have to redownload all of them again… Skip forward a month later, I bought an Apple Watch Ultra and an Airpods Pro 2 ( I’m apple freak ), tested Find My app on those devices, they were able to find my iPhone and my previous Apple Watch… It got me thinking, probably my Find My app on my iPhone was getting confused somehow during the airplane flight from Hong Kong to China, then I deleted the Find My app and reinstalled it, the newly installed Find My app immediatelly asked for permissions like location, wifi/cellular, notification and I ticked them all, the app is finally working! My suggestion is: Please provide a better solution on your apple website so people won’t do anything too drastic just because of one single Find My app not working properly.

Can’t Track AirPods Pro’s. So according to Apple the find my app is supposed to be able to list airpod pros as lost if you can’t find them. This prohibits someone from using your AirPods as their own so that you can still attempt to find them. Well my app doesn’t have that option and according to Apple I need to have them in hand to reset the AirPods so that the additional options show up. Well I can’t do that because I lost them. So after 30 min on the phone I was told there is nothing they can do because I lost them. Also, if you don’t have the AirPods out of the case then you can’t even find them if they are within 3 feet of you. So they could be just lost in my house but because I didn’t have them out of the case within the last 24 hours it could say that the last known location was totally different. Effectively that makes this app mostly useless for AirPods

Lags, gets stuck, inaccurate. Have to agree with all the others- there have been SO MANY times that the location is stuck from an hour ago, 2 hours, etc. and will not update and it lags horribly or it looks like the person drove their car into the ocean half the time and they’re location is the middle of the ocean so it’s very inaccurate. I don’t understand how this app has never been upgraded and completely overhauled to something that is actually on the same level as the apple brand and their technology. This app is so primitive in looks and features and with all the millions of updates they do every minute you think one of their programmers could rewrite this app which would be so easy to them considering what they’re actually capable of.

Amazing!. My mother's laptop was stolen from her room at assisted living. It was taken May 9th and I came to visit on the 12th. I noticed it missing on the 13th, called the police and contacted the director of the place she lives. I called insurance, and because it was under AppleCare I called Apple. I was hoping it was covered under her AppleCare. It wasn't. I had locked it, and the AppleCare agent told me two important details, first, don't erase it; second, don't ever remove it from your account. Then he said, usually because it is unusable it will be returned. It will just show up somewhere. Today, the 16th it showed up in the facility's address. So once you lock the item even if they can erase it because the serial number is associated with your account it stays locked. That is amazing! My daughter had lost her phone years ago and we used it to track her phone to the guy who took it, claiming he found it. I'm a believer!

10 year old Sat photos. 3/8/24 just started using the app. First thing I noticed is it haves the wrong street name for our “Home”, and no apparent way to edit it. And no, the one it selected is not even remotely the closest. Looking at the satellite view, it shows a sat photo that is over 10 years old! I know this because our neighborhood isn’t even there. There is no explanation of the distinction between “Devices” and “Items”. There is no “Help” or other aid in using the app. It isn’t clear under what circumstances it will update location based on passing iPhones. Does it have to be in “Lost” mode? Is “Last seen” only for the owner, or per any iPhone that passes nearby? How about a track showing movement from one place to another based on updates when detected by other iPhones? So may opportunities! I just discovered that to share the device with a family member using Family Sharing, everyone has to use the SAME APPLE ID!!! Seriously? You want a 10 year old using the same Apple ID as their parents? What a preposterous idea!

I lost my Mac today outside in the intersection. This app let me know where my Mac was. It fell off the top of my car because I forgot I placed it there, I was getting my daughter in the car seat. Didn’t realize until an hour later on the way to my therapist appointment that my laptop was not in the car. I was freaking out , $2,000 laptop gone! It led me to where I took my turn down a street at a stop light, it was laying in the grass. The momentum of the car flew the laptop across the intersection. Only had a chip on the corner of the laptop. I was able to track the location down to the area perimeter. The “ring” to the device was no help in that situation -cause of the loud traffic. But the map helped me find it. I was about to just file a police report. But it was spotted near a sidewalk in the grass near the stoplight. I had a case on it at the time and it was inside a laptop sleeve. It was very hot. When I got home it was able to cool down then when I logged in…The app shut down the device and I had to go thru security question and login in from other apple devices I had tied to my account to get access into the computer. Thank you so much Apple for this! Saved my personal information and me from having to dish out more money for a new laptop. I had no insurance on it ..as it was a pay to own device from a third party seller.

Worked for Me. I was really tired last night and I took off my watch. Today I couldn’t remember where I was when I did so. After hunting all the places I remembered being last night I learned about this app. I played the sound and heard the watch. Even though I had already searched two times down the sofa cushions, I’d missed finding the watch until it played the sound and lit up. It was tucked in the very back of the sofa down in the corner and I don’t think I could have ever found it there without this app. And, it only has 2% battery left so I found it just in time! I’m happy the ‘find my’ still worked with the battery so low.

My air pod pro were stolen but due to this app it help with finding out who stole them.. I recommend this app even if you think it’s an app which takes storage or even might not be needed I think someday it will go to use for you not many but I really want to consider how thankful this app change the fact someone stole 3 Air Pods and money from a locker in my school. My air pod pros were connected to this app and it helped save my life it showed me the direction the distance and the address of who stole my air pod pros. The fact that it manage to track the place where it was taken and letting me disable them which allowed my air pod pros to not connect to their Bluetooth and device made a big difference and help for me. The information on this app allowed me to ask people around if they knew this place and I found someone who knew who lived there I won’t go into details but the help of the school and cops I manage to get a name and as suspicions goes on and the details the app gave me the place it showed me and how long ago my air pod pros were connected to this app made me feel relief and knowing that getting these type of information can make things the best case because in the end I got my air pod pros and I manage to help some other people out because theirs were stolen.

False alerts. This app at first was really cool and it worked really great when it came to being able to see where my kids were when I was not there or when they were out of state. I recently had an Apple Watch that completely died and the battery stopped working but every day multiple times a day it says it was last seen at my house when it wasn’t even on. I also had an AirTag that got dropped outside and when I walk around in multiple different spots it says the AirTag is not with me but the spots are really far away. It will say that it has been spotted nearby but then it won’t allow me to play sound to find it and then I will send it’s gone. And I will go to a completely different spot and it will do the same thing. I got a third-party Bluetooth tracker and anytime my Find My app tells me my AirTag is nearby I will open up this third-party Bluetooth tracker and it will see every other Bluetooth device around except for the AirTag. I’m really disappointed.

This app is great!…unless your device is dead—. I’ve had this app for over 5 years and it’s a great app to have! I’ve lost my AirPods countless times and this app always helps me find them. The thing is..if your device is dead this app will not help you in any way. Once I lost my AirPods and I tried to put off the sound or whatever and it made no sound (of course it didn’t because it was dead—). I just wanted to warn you guys that it also doesn’t tell you that it’s dead..which I find quite odd, especially from apple!! It should at least say ‘ Device is dead ‘ or something like that! Other than that, the app is great to have if you’re one who loses their devices often. Just make sure you keep them full battery so the app is useful!!

Doesn’t work well in Phoenix, but…. I specifically mention Phoenix because that’s where my wife and I live. We used this in Chicago and it worked great. We moved to Phoenix 10 years ago and noticed it lags for updates on the cellular network over the past few years. Sometimes, it’s over 10 minutes for an update. It works fine when she’s on Wi-Fi. Recently, my wife flew to Tampa for a few days and it worked great while she was there, and I was still in Phoenix. So, in Tampa and on Wi-Fi, it works fine. I have other Find My contacts who are in Chicago and Chattanooga who update quickly. I think Apple needs to check with AT&T about performance of their network, as this is affecting lots of Find My users - check the Apple forums.

Sending my friends bogus notifications. This seems to be the only place to report malfunctioning software to the people that matter. I love this app. Me and my girlfriends keep up with each other all over the world and notify each other when we are in places or with people we want an extra set of ‘eyes’ for a little while. We have used it for years. But every once in a while it goes nuts. We set it up to notify each other whenever we leave and come back home. We all receive the notifications. So how about at 3am my phone sends out a million notifications??? I’m sleep in my bed but it looks like something crazy is happening and I’m sending SOS signals. Not good! I might need to do that someday. I wish I could attach the pics of the back-to-back notifications. I wish there was someone to talk to to tell me how to fix it. I wish it would stop. Please don’t mess this up because we use it.

It doesn’t find my AirPods. I lost my AirPods at school one day and I went back to next day and tracked them. It took me to my English classroom where I looked everywhere and I couldn’t find them. Even when it would say I’m right on top of them they wouldn’t be in sight. It wasn’t until today when I found out you can’t track AirPods while they are dead which is really stupid and unhelpful. They have been lost now for a week and I haven’t had any luck I even took it off lost mode to see if whoever had them would charge them and I could then track them it’s been a day since I did that and it still shows them in the same classroom. If you guys see this could you please help. I’ve had luck finding my phone on this app and it works well for that but it just doesn’t work for AirPods. Can someone please help me I’m desperate I need them.

Extremely Inaccurate and a Hastle. I’ve used this app before many times due to me loosing my earbuds and other devices on a weekly basis. But every time I’ve used it, the location that it shows is inaccurate every single time. For example, I’ve lost my earbuds like usual and I check the Find My app to see where it was. It showed that it was in the middle of my high school where I was earlier that day. So then the next day, I went to go look for it but I wasn’t able to find it anywhere. A few days go by, and it still says it’s at the high school and I’ve lost all hope finding it. But one day, I come into my parents car, and my earbuds are sitting right in the cup holder of their car. In conclusion, depending on what device you have lost, whether it’s your earbuds, apple watch, computer or anything else, I would strongly recommend not fully depending on this app to keep track of all your lost items. You can use it as a way of remembering when you last had it, but you will need to think ahead of where you had it after leaving that location.

Precise Location is Inaccurate. For a core app that is used by Apple to manage consumers apple’s devices, this app is incredibly inaccurate. For sometime now since iOS 14 up to this current iOS 17, I have noticed that the location for my iPhone and AirPod pro in Find My has been jumping around my neighborhood. While I am in my house with my devices in my hands, the Find My app would show that my iPhone and AirPod locations in my neighbor’s houses. For an app that requires all the Apple devices to be logged on and use to tracked this is very concerning. I was hoping that iOS 17 would fix this after reporting this multiple times to Apple support, but only been told to just wait to see if a new update will fix it. Its been more than a few update now and nothing has changed, I guess Apple just don’t care… Seems like this app has some backdoor flaws that is allowing 3 party entities to exploit it and use it to track people devices like AirTag and AirPod Pro 2 without permission.

NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I'm not sure if it's iOS 16 that's made this app worse, but it certainly hasn't been this bad the whole time I've been using it. I got a brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max just before the iPhone 14 came out, and I just bought brand new Airpod Pros 2 a month and a half ago. Keep in mind, I bought both of these from AN APPLE STORE, BRAND NEW. My Airpods last location is contstantly wrong, and the connectivity is complete trash. I can be searching for my Airpods (no help from Find My) and when I eventually find them I can put my phone DIRECTLY ON TOP OF THEM, TO THE POINT WHERE THEY ARE TOUCHING and it will still say unable to connect to play sound OR find near me. The Airpods are not dead, they are fully charged, and I CAN SEE THEIR CURRENT BATTERY LEVEL ON THE BATTERY WIDGET. In my Bluetooth menu in settings, it also says "Not Connected" while I CAN SEE THEIR BATTERY LEVEL ON THE BATTERY WIDGET. I can tap to connect and it will say "Make sure Airpods are on and in range". Apple, fix your software or I will NOT be purchasing any new products. EXTREMELY disappointed in this app, my BRAND NEW PHONE, AND BRAND NEW AIRPODS. I will definitely rethink my next Apple purchase if this doesn't get fixed ASAP. You're better than this.

AirPods. When ever I try to find my air pods they never connect like I waited an actual hour waiting for it to connect to the AirPods so I can find them it never did my brother always hides them and Ik it’s in the house it’s just where! It’s getting me mad that it won’t connect and I don’t have bad connection I have rlly good connection and internet where I live I don’t know why it won’t connect I tried connecting 2 times the first time I found them, this is the second time and even in the first time it wouldn’t connect it never connect I find this useless and it’s annoying how it never connects all it says is waiting to connect and sound will play when connected a whole hour and still not connected? This is why I give this 2 stars it never connects to anything at all the only thing it connected to was my laptop but that was a miss-click. Also my brother is at school and I’m at home so he won’t too me even when he gets home he never does tell me unless I take something from him which is what I just did.

Report on error from find my app. I’m making a report based on the find my app , I was home Saturday night and had the share location on . I normally share my location with my girlfriend , my phone had died in the mist of a ft call with my girlfriend . I’m home and went to sleep , when I finally got to a charger the next morning , I got information and screenshot that’s saying I was in a different location Saturday night around 10:40 , on a location I never been to . I’m filling this report on false information on my whereabouts about the phone indicating that I was somewhere I never been . Thanks for all the help from apple on trying to help me figure out what’s the issue for this location error

Find my is only finding online things and other people!. Whenever I would use my find my app or my family would use it it would show us the phone or AirPods across the street, ect. And apple still hasn’t fixed so they just made a little tracker and what would you know it is terrible because it can be use just like how I said it it would track things but people use them just to track other people and yet it is still happening today and apple really needs to fix this I mean I would rather use my eyes just to find stuff or a flashlight together to find in places that are darkened. And the tracking usually happens at night when it all begins and people would have cameras to check their car or for protection and what do you know they see people checking cars and “tapping” on the cars and when you inspect the car what do you find a track used for “find my” to use as a stalking device for other people to use! And this is just insane so apple just pleas fix find my and discontinue the apple tracker used for stalkers!

Live View Not working>>RESOLVED. I had the same problems other people were having with Live View. It just stops working out of the blue. After weeks of playing around with it and searching for solutions but never finding any… This is how I finally fixed it. I made sure my friend and I were both sharing location data in Find My. Then I went to Google Maps and started sharing my location indefinitely and my friend did the same. AND WALAH! It fixed the problem and I was immediately able to see the green ring around my friends pic on the Find My app!! Hope this helps others that are searching for answers too. Best of luck!

Recently, my AirPods were stolen, and the panic that ensued was overwhelming. Thanks to the precision and reliability of Find My, I was able to track down the exact location of my AirPods with ease. The real-time updates and accurate mapping provided by the app played a crucial role in recovering my stolen belongings. Apparently they were stolen by someone 1hr 40mins away from me. Long story short it was a “misunderstanding” and they were embarrassed that this happened and i got my AirPods back. Find My not only helped me locate my AirPods but also restored my peace of mind. Apple is far behind competitors. Decent app, but lags behind competition. For instance, canNOT share AirTag tracking with family members—ridiculous! Tile allows me to share Tile tracking with family or whomever. So, if I have an AirTag in a camera bag and let my son use the camera w/ bag, he has no way to track the camera bag/AirTag if lost or stolen. He has to call me and I might be 1,000 miles away for work. Or our dogs have AirTags on their collars, but only one person in our family can see/track the AirTags on their phone. It’s completely impractical— if the dogs get out and run around the neighborhood, my wife’s phone is the only phone that can track them. What is she’s not home—which is often?? The only other options available are to either put six (6) AirTags on each dog so that anyone who is home alone can track them… not happenin! Tile on the other hand allows extensive sharing capabilities. I can even share the location with a neighbor remotely if I’m out of town and get a call saying the dogs are out. This is easily solved. It will be a dirty move if Apple releases an AirTag 2, or 3 with sharing functionality and not make it retroactive to gen 1. Also, sometimes AirTags and devices take an excessive amount of time to update locations. It’s not uncommon for an AirTags to take 30-40 mins to update location. Phone seem to update faster, but the timing is inconsistent and clunky.

L in the chat. I recently just lost my AirPod pros generation two and only the right bud was lost. I was walking with my friend on a sidewalk next to some bushes, Pineneedles, and grass and a field. I had notification phone that my AirPod was the pin on her video. I tried to pinpoint the signal and it said that it was at the corner of the road. I went to it and it was not there. I tried to ping with my sound using the nearby navigation system it’s not work.I was searching for three hours at 3 AM trying to find them and not to find them yet. The next morning I went to the exact same spot and try to find them and they still aren’t there. I grabbed my friends, family, mom earlier and sister, and we all try to find it yet with no luck. I have just been $110 on a replaceable right AirPod just because of my radar for engineering quality, thanks Apple Apple

So far I had to use this app twice and messed up on me. So far I have find my app connected to my dog’s tracking device and had to use it twice. Did great first time my little dog ran off! But this time it was making me run around to wrong locations and then it started to state that my dog was in my car when she wasn’t I mean I would know right?! Lol but finally after searching the old way of driving around hollering her name out I got home with her made sure the tracking device to make sure there wasn’t nothing wrong with it..it was fine beeped and all. Then got an notification after pushing that I found her stating someone last saw her just now at this certain location which I already turned the I found my device (which also the app wasn’t trying to allow me to push it for some odd reason, may be a bug that needs fixing idk) the app was just acting up and it wasn’t my signal nor needing an update it was something else going on. So hopefully this issue will get fixed asap before my dog runs off again and I lose my dog cuz the app keep messing up on me. This ASAP NEEDS FIXED!

It was a pretty nice program. Because it was a pretty nice program when I can find my family if they are coming up here because sometimes I can look at the location and I don’t update for them and I don’t update for like five minutes because I have to go back on it or I have to delete I have to go back in to delete it because sometimes it takes it off and it’s saying no location found and I feel like I have to go back in it and I have to share everybody my location I have it it sometimes the thing acts weird because it’s saying no Location frien I feel like I have to go. I have to add them back to the list because I have this for my whole family because they wanna see my location and I feel like I can click on the location and it tells me how How many miles and I feel like I can go back to an I can say is, I think I like this I think this app is a good idea because you can see where you if they are farming or anything

“Find My” isn’t finding !. A distinct change in the functioning, i mean non-functioning of my Find My App. I wasn’t sure of the location in my place of my Air Pods Pro. The App was not able to locate them, even as i was holding the case with the pods inside in the same hand as the iPhone 13 i whereon i was using the App. When i opened the case, VIOLA! The App suddenly found them, and would play sound to “locate” them; only to as quickly lose track of them when the case was closed again with the pods inside and suddenly unable to play sound at all! I am quite certain that when i set up my Air Pods on the Find My App, it found them in the closed case. Not this time! I decided to test the App with my keys with an attached Apple Tracker … Again, though holding the keys with Tracker in my hand, same as my iPhone, it was unable to locate them/it. It showed the battery level of the Tracker, strangely enough since it couldn’t locate them. Further, when i ask the App for info on the “found” Tracker which i held under the top of my iPhone, repeatedly, again it was unable to make contact with, find, or play sound!! Really!??! REALLY !!??!!

Needs to be updated and checked major issues with tracking items. Randomly causing issues tracking AirTags, AirPods, and Apple Watch. Has difficulty properly connecting to various Apple items. Does not update location or device well. Says AirPods are multiple sets and attached to different AppleIDs but I’ve only ever attached my brand new AirPods to my Apple ID. Also I was prompted many times in the Find My App to sign in but already am when trying to “complete” set-up of new devices. I tried many restarts, forgetting+removing devices from Apple ID and turning off sharing location /network and even a factory reset with iCloud backup and those did not work. Only after over a day of troubleshooting did my items reappear. I thought it was just my device/phone but came here to find others are also having trouble with the app. Only fix I found was going to Apple community and turning Share My Location Off then restart iPhone then turn Share My Location back on. Then open Find My.

Incredible app. I am very forgetful and I loss stuff all the time but this app is so simple and easy to use to find devices with the family devices and you can follow your friends this app is one of the best app on the whole phone. Barely any room for improvement apart from thing like pinpointing items like AirPods accurately this app is very close to perfect.

Can’t find my airpods. I think it is absolutely atrocious that you have to open your lid to your airpods to be able to find them. Why can you not simply be able to ping them while they are closed in the case. This is a big fault from you apple and needs to be fixed. Terrible

bad at tracking my device. So i was just checking this app out then i pressed devices, i searched to see if this app is good at tracking but it wasn’t. I located my phone and it said it’s on lilydale road but my phone was just next to me. if you could fix this please do it fast otherwise i won’t be able to find my phone in situations where i can’t find it. it would be five star if you fixed this. i don’t know much about phones but the tracker probably just fell off, i don’t even know if they even have trackers that can fall off. please hurry and fix this.

Wrong alert!!!. I don’t know how they developed this app, it keeps saying that my other device is left behind while I’m carrying the device!!!!! and keeps giving me stress with these alarms! How should someone trust this app??? I have this app, so based on it I can find my stolen/lost devices. What is the purposes of having it while it keeps giving me false information??? In your research team, there should be someone to tell you how to be more accurate on these kinds of apps, if you don’t have them, hire them!! So disappointing

Not working properly.. The LIVE isn’t working properly and most of the time isn’t tracking the person anymore. NEEDS TWEEKING URGENTLY. Doesn’t update for 20 minutes at times. Would be a magical app if that was fixed.

Not worth it. I liked the concept but then i realised it actually won’t work if you are trying to find a device which you have not accessed find my for a long time it wont sync the device and therefore wont be able to find it. So the app excepts people to have some powers to know before hand that this item is going to be lost and access it beforehand thats so stupid why would we need to access the find my just to sync the device then if try to find it will simply not work. I would not recommend this app at all i think Apple should come up with some more realistic and reliable than this

Fox this please. So for at least a month now I have lost my iPhone thirteen so it’s very flat, and I have no way of finding it since it does not tell me it’s location and does not make sound, if the sound And location could be fixed on iPhones that are flat that would be great.

Need sharing of AirTags. Just having one owner of an AirTag on a set of car keys for the family car makes no sense allow us to share AirTag location access. Seperate alerts need to be stored in the app, so depending on the device there can be different separation setups, which means separation alert configuration doesn’t get stored in the account anymore.

Constant issues. I constantly have issues with this app. It struggles to locate where I am tracking. The timer just keeps going around in circles and it tells me either they can’t find location or it shows the location they were many hours ago! I’ve called Apple about this several times and still nothing has been fixed

This app is really good (please read). Hi everyone! This app is really good and I definitely recommend buying it. It shows you where your devices are located, and it is always accurate. The only negative thing about this app is that it sometimes shows where the device was located the day before or even hours before. So otherwise really good app!

I love the app… but!!. I love the app, but can I reorder the names and devices? It only shows the last added up the top. That’s frustrating when the one you look at the lost is either at the bottom or in the middle. It’s not even in alphabetical order.

I found my iPhone. I found my iPhone with the app. I left my phone on the back of my brothers truck forgetting doing so. He goes for a drive and it flew off the back. With find my iPhone he was able to locate it and collect it on the side of the road with the location sound 👍 highly recommend the app it’s helped me this time greatly! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

No longer find my son. My adult son has a serious disease, so at times he and I use this so we know where each other are, but since 1st Jan 2024 we can no longer see each other. We have different iPhones but should still be able to find each other if we need to.

Wrong location. My parents always check my location to see where I am and if I am safe, and I personally think it is not controlling. However, the app has shown the wrong location many times, which then has made my family break trust in me. This app had shown that i was somewhere else, instead of where I actually was. Due to this, my family’s relationships have broken and I am in blame for something I didn’t do. Please save this major issue, as I do not want anyone else’s trust to be broken due to this stupid flaw. It is a great app but make sure that the location is accurate. It is a pain to see my family’s trust be broken over a bug in the system.

AirTags bug with Find My app in IOS 16. With IOS 16, the AirTags connected in the items section of the app freezes the app when trying to find a tag. Not good - please fix this as soon as possible. Works for all other devices, only the AirTags freeze the app.

Enhancement. Please allow me to edit / change the names of the devices that appear in the app while allowing the kids to also choose / personalise their own handle on / of their own device. We are a family of 5 with multiple devices e.g. phones and devices. It is not obvious looking at the ‘names’ of the devices as to who the owner / user is.

It’s great. Very useful for tracking devices and AirTags, and prefer the people tracking than other sketchy apps like Life360 that have an egregious privacy policy.

Best tracking app for lost devices. I like find my because you when you loose something like your AirTag you can find it by using find my and the noise is loud Good Job Apple, 

Saved me from throwing away my airpods.. My airpods fell out of my ear and into a tissue box, i looked for it everywhere in the car but eventually gave up. I was planning on throwing away the tissue box since there were only dirty tissues inside but I remembered this app, i didnt know it had a ring feature until now. It was really helpful:)

Great but not good enough. My brothers have different types of iPhones, so, i cant track them. Could you fix that and maybe it’ll be 5 stars next time. But, this app is so helpful! Good when bored but…. So this app is good I can track my family but I think you guys got 3D and 2D wrong because, when I am on 3D it kinda looks like 2D and when I am on 2D it looks more like 3D I hope I did not confuse you🤠 And also can u please update it a little bit more because when I go on there everything looks like the time from 2 years ago😅

Inaccurate.. This is quite inaccurate. I couldn’t find my phone so I looked on my family members phones and my phone was moving on the app. I found my phone in one spot, no one had it. My brother was with me and I checked find my friends, it said he was 500 metres away. I have heard the network makes it weaken. But still, I would still like it to be better. After all that, it’s an okay app. My rating would be 3.5/5

No Refresh. I lost my AirPods yesterday and have checked the Find My app several times, closing and reopening it and even completely shutting down my iPhone but every time I check the app it shows the location of my AirPods from yesterday before I left to the place where I lost them. I am very annoyed about this and just wish that the location would refresh. It is pretty helpful when it works though.

Lost AirPods. I’ve always had Find My on all devices I own. Apple Watch, iPhone and air pods, recently I have misplaced my air pods but Find My is telling me ‘no location found’ is there a way someone could help me find the location? I know I have had it on there before so I don’t understand why the location isn’t found.

it shouldn’t be this hard. got my phone stolen 3 weeks ago and i’ve been able to see where it’s gone… not from the iCloud website that i had to use on my computer but from the app when i had bought a new phone. i’m never getting notified of any signals being picked up unless i’m in the app and info is conflicting. like, it’ll say ‘last seen at this address at this time’ then when i close and reopen the app a few times it’ll say a different address but same time stamp. the stolen phone won’t even lock or play a sound because it’s no connected to wifi or mobile data yet can have a signal picked up just from turning the phone on.

App is useless with older models. I open the app and it says my AirPods are just at home not telling me where, when I try to use the in built map it is not helpful, and when I try to play a sound with my AirPods that doesn’t work unless I have the AirPods in my hand, Fix this.

Never works. I lose my AirPods all the time so I installed this app trying to make sure I could find them when I lost them again however the app never works it just circles a gigantic area (1 or 2 blocks) and says it could be here and the play sound feature only works if you are legally blind and it’s right in front of you this app has wasted hours of my life I hope is doesn’t waste hours of yours

Found!!!. I just spent 20 hectic minutes trying to find my phone because I left it in a cab. Thankfully the cab driver was alerted someones phone was in the back seat and he put it on his charger and pulled over to let us get there and collect it.

AirTags weak signal stop updating location. Used to be very accurate and signal detection was good. Seems like after updating recent OS17, AirTags stop updating location with constant weak signal even though battery is not the issue. It has now become unreliable and worst to say useless for not even detecting my AirPods. I hope this can be fixed as I do like the app when it’s working correctly

Find my app. Very bad unless the divide your looking for has been turned on you can only then see there locating. Example:I have been looking for my AirPods and it only says we’re they were last seen and doesn’t let me find them not very happy.

Fixed something that wasn’t broken. Good work apple you made a once simple, easy to use, and extremely helpful app a steaming pile of garbage. This used to be easy to use and you could just login in to your account on a friends device but is now extremely roundabout and feels like you have to jump through hoops to do something that should be very simple. If it was possible to rate this 0 stars I would.

Need feature of location history. I use ths app sometimes to check whereabouts of my parents when they r not responding to calls… live status is good but it would be good to have location history just in case if phone battery is down or they r lost thn atleast we knw which path they took.

Disappointed. I truly hope that I never have to rely on this application should I ever lose my device, 9 times out of 10 the location data is incorrect and even places my device in location’s / addresses it has never been sometimes up to 4 km away. In addition street names change randomly and apparently the same location can have 15 or more addresses. In this day and age the average gps error is less than 10 m either my device has a defective gps or this application requires a lot of work.

Major glitch resulted in family emergency false alarm. For the past several years I have reliably use this app to track my daughter‘s whereabouts with her knowledge. A major glitch in the app resulted in giving the impression that my underaged daughter was moving around neighbouring suburbs at the pace of a vehicle when she should’ve been at school. This resulted in major panic stations involving the police, the school and now an embarrassed parent. So when it works, awesome. This glitch was truly a short-term nightmare!

Rubbish, inaccurate , slow, lost great features. This app used to be good when you could activate sound beeping on list iphone even when they were on silent mode beeper would ring nice and loud. The app is very slow locating a device and more frequently it will lose connection and then after a while reconnect and show location. Wipe data option is gone as well. This app is unreliable and apple developers ruined it. It used to be good. Useless now a days. Tracked my wifes lost iphone and it showed its location 3 km away so I went looking for it knocking on doors only to realize she left it in her car 10m away from her work office. Some messed up dudes managing the apps development team clueless on whats goid and benefitial. Get off the pot junkies.

False notifications of items left behind. It keeps telling me my AirPods have been left behind when they’re with me. They seem to have got the latest update wrong, you either get over notified or you turn off the notifications completely it’s simply doesn’t work accurately as intended. Both current device is fully updated so the issue is with them.

annoyed. so i have been using this app for a while with no problems and have been overall happy with this app. however i recently lost my airpods yesterday and decided to check find my because i couldn’t find them. it showed me where they where the night before which obviously didn’t help me since i had lost them the day after another day has gone by and still no change. i can’t find a way to update or refresh the location and now i’m having to consider the possibility of needing to buy new airpods

Great but some issues. I have used this app for a while now and it’s very good but recently it shows the person in one location and the address is clearly incorrect it eventually updates but very slowly

AirTags stopped working after iOS17 update. Airtags stopped updating location after the update to iOS17 and sharing them with family.

A stupid app, my airpods were on low percent and it wouldn’t play a sound or tell me where it was only an icon of where they were from where I wass all that time I thought it was in my bed but ended up being in my bathroom so it brought me to the wrong direction a waste of time and anger. Do better idiots

Please FIX it. This application is fundamentally flawed. There needs to be a way to change the find my device settings (such as location services) remotely - you know, for when you can't FIND your device. Obviously this would require authentication, such as Apple ID, iCloud account, and/or selecting the device and then entering its passcode, but this should all be achievable for anyone with multiple associated devices. As it is, you have to remember or think to enable these settings BEFORE LOSING THE DEVICE. This is fine for anyone who is planning to lose their device (like if they looked at the timetable and found a nice train to leave it on, or brought it to the post office with a nice and ambiguous delivery address...) Unfortunately, this does not actually apply to ANYONE. Otherwise, they most likely have already had a memorably bad experience with losing a device already - defeating the purpose of the app if they have to have been unable to find a device already in order for it to be useful. I understand that currently, it is considered the responsibility of the user to remember to enable these settings, but people may not want to always be tracked, or may forget entirely to set up the app in the first place. Although I imagine this is not an easy thing to change, the performance, utility and functionality of the 'Find My' app depends on it.

Left behind notifications useless. I love how i get “left behind” notifications for my AirPods while I'm walking with them literally in my ears playing music and the case in my pocket. Real useful. In the very rare cases when i actually have left them behind then the notification is so delayed as to be of limited use and it should be a “critical” notification

This App nearly deserves zero stars. The main reason you use is app is to FIND A DEVICE! Imagine this scenario when you have the device set to ping its last know location when the device is turned off and the fist time you ever try this feature IT DOES NOT WORK!!!! The device was being used last night and the location was logged. It finished charging in the morning whilst it was still powered on. Some time in the morning the device was turned off and now it’s last known location was where the device was located LAST NIGHT!!! What an absolute scam!!!

Could not get it work. Tried this app so my partner could see where I was on a 1600km trip. When adding a person to share with I tried by email and phone number. It appeared to be good on my end but no messages were received by my partner. Tried sharing to an old email address of mine and nothing. Normal text and email to my partner were fine. Apple stuff just works they say!

Older versions were much better. I used to use this utility to play a sound on my wife’s iPhone when she had sound off — either to find it or to alert her that I was trying to contact her. Now this is gone(or at least I cannot figure out how to do that) — why? It’s beyond me.

Absolute rubbish. I downloaded this app and paid the monthly subscriptions and have never been able to even use the app, it won’t allow me to even create an account. Be very cautious it’s definitely a scam. Reported them to my bank to try and get the money refunded

Amazing. I knocked my airpods case off my desk and both pods went different directions - first pod i found straight away. I must of looked for an hour for the other one before i remembered to use Find My - i found it within 10 seconds once the chime went of You can make it so a specifc pod goes off, the one you're missing - its perfect.

So Poor Now. Worked perfectly just a few months ago. Now it rarely will show me my daughters location. Which is the most important reason I use the app. Why?

Annoyed. This needs to be updated and functionally working. Most times it’s not

It has no idea where anything is anymore. I have my airpods pro 2 in my hands fully charged and it tells me they are 4300km away and that last time the phone saw then was 6 weeks ago, I use them every day. While they are connected to the phone and playing, the phone thinks they are on another continent. I reset the find my setting in bluetooth. Tried to reconnect them, nothing works. I’m using them with an iphone 14 pro.

Find nothing at all🙃. They are constantly telling me I forgot my AirPods when they are right in my pockets. Whenever i leave somewhere I forget my AirPods according to this app. And when I actually want to find them my phone never remembers where they last were. What exactly is the use for this app? Nothing. You can make your things beep 1/5 times.🤷🏼‍♀️ Today while in my car the app told me I forgot them at home so I took the case in my pocket and opened it, closed it and deleted the notification. Then I arrive at my destination and it tells me I forgot them near the highway. This is next level stupid… the app has ONE purpose.

Barely even works. The only time it’s useful is when you know a close proximity of where your things are. I’ve lost 3 airpods now because the tracking feature is so useless. You’ll never find an app nearby as garbage as this

Say bye to privacy. Previously it only turned on if I was actively locating find my iphone. Now the location arrow shows up every few second. I have location service “off” for every single app and system services except this one. Why does it need my location every few seconds. I didn’t even open the app, I am not even tracking my phone or other connected device. Previously it only took my location when I opened the app and click on track.

Update!. In your next update you need to fix the fact that the location finder doesn’t work over half the time, my family can never locate me and vice versa. I’m officially downloading a different app because yours really sucks. Do better Apple.

Unreliable. This used to be a good app and pretty accurate. Now it is completely not accurate and unreliable! Puts the target way off where they actually are. Garbage.

Apple doesn’t seem to care. No one at apple seems to care about quality issues reported by users. They only care about things they think are important. Good luck with this approach. No one is invincible. We have seen it before. This app was not a time pass app.

Doesn’t work like before. Used to work well in locating another person but now have to turn off my phone and restart it to get anything. Even asking it to notify me when found takes hours sometimes to find it.

People don’t read. This app was originally designed to find an iPhone. Now that these new, “AirPods” have come out, people automatically assume this app will find their lost, “AirPods” because it is an Apple app called, “Find My”. Just for those reading this review that literally has nothing to do with the app, please redirect yourselves to the App Store and search for the proper app that will find your silly, “AirPods” called, “Find My AirPods”, you might have better luck on there.

No location found but sharing.. The app works good, but I have a person who added me and vice versa and I continuously have no location found for them. We have checked the settings on both ends and same settings.

Accepting people location. There is some problem when I try to add my people’s phone then later it’s said accept or decline for the location. I clicked accept then it’s take some time then later it’s didn’t work. I tried with other phone still same problem.

Doesn’t do anything right!. Doesn’t play sound and is useless for losing things in your own home!

Actually works for AirPods. I lost my AirPods in the snow and was searching for quite a while, then I used the Find My app to make them play a noise and ended up finding them

Find My App has declined in quality/service. This used to be a very good app but since getting the iPhone 15 it’s become a waste of my time. No longer giving live feed. Very poor now.

Please do not download. Unfortunately, Apple has the market for this app because all the other apps that should be better than Apple’s find my app sadly has a tracking system on it and these companies are selling your most private information. That’s why Apple hasn’t sat down and made this find my app much better, or the best find my app out there, because there is no need to since no one trust the other apps. Please don’t bother using this app only works maybe 20% of the time trying to find out where my friend is is useless. It doesn’t show where he is. it’s like Skype when it first come out, it’s choppy. It could take up to 10 minutes before it shows the accurate location of any of your friends. It’s not precise. Has Flaws. I love the ability to find my missing items. And with the new update, I started receiving notifications for my AirPods. I thought that was cool at first, it’ll notify you if you’ve left them behind, awesome. However, it notifies me ALL THE TIME, they could be sitting next to me and it’ll tell me I left them somewhere else. It even gave me the notification while I had them IN MY EARS listening to music and was trying to tell me I left them at a place I had not visited for about a week. So, what could be an awesome feature has been made useless by the wildly inaccurate notifications the app issues.

A life saver!. I’ve had Find My Friends for many years. It’s helpful to see where family members are so you can make plans and know if they’re on the way home. I love that you can add friends when you’re planning to meet out in public. Recently a family member was in an accident and left a 10 second voicemail before his phone died. Thank God for Find My Friends and a feature I never noticed before! I was able to find my family member and there was a button that gave me directions to his location! We are so thankful for this app!

Not for family member locating!. The app helps for finding my devices but frequently gives wrong locations. When it comes to checking in loved ones on the move, this app is all over the board. I use the “notify me if person leaves” chosen locations. Awesome in theory but does NOT work correctly. Tells me he/she is leaving location when they are arriving, send notifications that he/she has left multiple times in the wee hours of the a.m. when they are clearly at home. I wish it would show time and duration of stops and show them correctly. Bottom line…will probably help you find your devices but that’s where the features end.

This app is a joke. It’s painfully obvious that no one at who works at Apple actually uses this app. If that were the case, it wouldn’t be so unapologetically awful. It takes nearly a whole day to refresh the location of devices making it nearly impossible to actually track down something you’ve lost within a reasonable time. More often than not the app is incapable of giving you real time location on anything other than the phones of others, and even that doesn’t work half the time. I don’t understand Apples incompetence when it comes to quality of life features in their products. Literally use any other tracking service than this. 2 stars because SOMETIMES you can get the thing to work.

This app is garbage. It’s nice for finding friends location but items & devices it’s absolutely garbage. It shame nothing I’ve had many devices including AirPod pro 2 find my app use to work but for the past few years it won’t play the sound which the AirPods Pro 2 have a built in speaker smart if it worked. The direction indicator doesn’t load. I’ve reinstalled reset factory airplane mode on off resetting troubleshot everything imaginable wasting my time it’s just junk it’s a shame it’s all your fault Tim. Worked initially for AirTags but doesn’t work for the apple watch for nothing on WiFi on cellular so I just keep track of my stuff bc apples basic features don’t even work I’m on the iPhone 14 Pro still garbage. It’s not a user error I’ve been to Apple to Reddit it’s just junk.

I can never find my AirPods with this app!. I recently lost my AirPods and decided to use the Find My app and this has been pending for 30 minutes! This only shows the location of them 3 days ago too. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I lost one of my AirPods a month ago and tried to use this app to find it but no luck at all, same results. Nothing. But I did end up stumbling upon the missing AirPod randomly, without the use of this app. I hate how long it takes for the sound to pend but it doesn’t even make the sound in the end. I just had to either find them myself or one day I would find them out of the blue. Please fix this and make this app for what it’s supposed to be used for.

Parents need better. For all of us technology handicapped parents out there, we need to be able to instantly refresh via a button their location. It’s great that I can see where my kid is but I’m not going to wait 5 to 10 minutes for it to update. Obviously the main reason is if they are being taken against their will I want to be able to see where they are each second. A secondary reason is if I see they are somewhere they are not supposed to be and I tell them to come home or something I want to be able to see that they are actually doing that. It can’t be that difficult to allow us to have a refresh button and not have to wait.

Find my for devices works poorly. Given this is the only way to find lost devices, it is incredibly poor at it. Every time I’ve lost an apple device, this app has been inaccurate with the location. Once I lost an airpod and couldn’t find the location only for me to realize it was just under a blanket right next to me. Another time I lost an airpod it didn’t even identify that one was missing and just said it was in my case which it wasn’t. Another time I had my airpod in my hand and connected to it and even though it was playing music, it said it couldn’t determine its location. Finding friends/family works well but I’ve never had it help me find a lost device

Worthless most of the time, but helpful when it works.. Constantly alerts me that different items were just left behind, despite them being with me. Then when I really do leave them behind, most of the time I get no notification. Happens most often with my AirPods Pro, but also happens with my iPad. The “find nearby” is great when it works, but is spotty at best. Just now, my AirPods case was in a backpack and no matter how close I got to it, Find My just kept telling me to try moving around to get a signal. Once I eventually found the case myself and pulled it out of the bag, the app came to life and triumphantly told me the item was found. Evidently a millimeter of polyester works as an invisibility cloak for AirPods. I’ll be sure to misplace mine in plain sight next time.

Good for tracking devices but PLAY SOUND FUNCTION almost NEVER works. I thought I lost one of my AirPods inside a store. Checked the app and the missing AirPod was actually at home. The only thing is, I still had to find this small AirPod inside my house so I tried the PLAY SOUND feature and it would be like “trying to connecting to AirPod” for like 5 mins and NEVER actually played a sound. I ended up finding them anyway but… if y’all could do an update on the SOUND feature to make it actually work, then “Find My” would be 5 stars all around

READ THISS!!. This app comes in handy most of the time, but I feel like it should be more accurate because if I was to loose my phone in the house it would let me know where it is in the house but not EXACTLY WHERE IT IS. I mean that it would be telling you that the phone is in the front of the house meanwhile it’s in the back in the kitchen. Also I feel like if your ringing your phone or any other apple product to find it should be able to ring while it’s still dead. I also love the way it let me knows when I’m leaving my iPad or watch behind.

Too Inaccurate and Distracting. The last month or so I've been getting notifications the I've left my laptop every time I leave a location, most of the time while I'm driving. On top of the distracting notification, I then have to pull my bag from the backseat, while I'm driving, and open it to verify that I have it which is a HUGE distraction and every time I HAVEN'T forgot it! NOT ONCE! The only options are to "trust location" or "dismiss" there is no way to disable being notified for specific devices. It's nice to know if I've left my phone somewhere, that has been slightly helpful, but I now have to disable notifications completely because it poses too much of a liability to have notifications on.

Refresh Location doesn’t actually happen anymore. Developers: you removed the “refresh” function, and despite closing the app, and re-opening, and turning off my phone, and turning it back on, my family devices are not correctly located. I live in Minnesota. Windchills are -10 and worse, roads can be icy, and my husband and son both have to commute. I can’t rely on this app as a safety option to see if they made it to their destination safely. An update to correct the issue is desired. Otherwise the app is completely useless. It used to work reliably, now …. Not at all. If I could give a zero star review, I would, because it’s a critical safety feature that is now just taking up space on my display. And not helping any of my family of four in legitimately dangerous conditions

FIX THIS APP. This app doesn’t work for me at all, whenever I lose a device with the case, it has to be connected to it could work. So if someone loses a device, like an earbud or something. Most likely it has a case with it also, but it has to be connected so it could work. This app should be able to connect if the device is closed or not closed. I recently lost my Powerbeats pro, ( i found it), and I had to find it myself, this app didn’t help me at all. The Powerbeats pro were in my house this whole time and the location was literally across tyneranch in a different house. I was accusing the guy that he had it, but he said no, and I didn’t believe him because it’s a Powerbeats pro. It’s very good. But I am sorry to that guy. This app is off. It should not be able to connect whether the device is closed or not.

Why this is useless. So when I try to find my AirPods I play the sound well guess what it’s still connecting and it just never plays then it’s leading me 60ft away from my house I said no I’m not doing that after 2 whole years of searching my mom. Finally finds it like find my should add where it will still track it when it’s dead and when I was looking for my phone when it was apparently not dead it said last seen 5:30 in the morning like no one in this family gets up at 5 and idk if my elf is grabbing it but it’s been gone and when I checked to look for it the elf had it I don’t know how and apparently it was on and it said I was 30ft away from it that’s why this is useless.

Showing my that my air pods were at someone’s house when they where at mine. I had to drive to the Location to where find my was showing where my air pods were at. I had to disturb a lovely couple showing them that my air pods were at there house probably scaring them. Then I had to look all over my house till I found them ( I know I sound irresponsible but when I had lost my AirPods before this incident they showed the location and the sound therefore me finding them , but not in this case). I had reseted my phone twice and it was showing the same place now hours later it shows that it’s now at my home . This problem needs to be fixed . I feel bad about the people I accused of taking my AirPods. Apple please fix this problem.

A small change I’d LOVE to see added. I’m a HUGE fan of how Apple handles location based stuff. And Find My does great! BUT. I would love to see one feature simplified and improved on. Friend location notifications (when they arrive or leave somewhere). Life360 does it much simpler and more easily. Add a “place” to the map (and be able to give it a label like “home”, etc), and then set what notifications you would like to receive from the other person: Notify me when they 1)leave that location 2)arrive there or 3)both. I think it would be a small change to DRASTICALLY improve that functionality.

Good app, one major flaw. Overall, I think this app is wonderful and useful. However, one issue I’ve ran into is the ability to change which device’s location to share with friends. With an Apple Watch, it automatically syncs and there’s no changing it. It becomes frustrating because, if I happen to leave my watch home, my location to my friend’s only shows my watch’s location and not my phone’s location. I’m not sure why we wouldn’t have access to the ability to change that, but it is extremely frustrating.

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. This is a great tool on the iPhone I’d be very honest about that but on the aspect of tracking other Apple accessories like the AirPods I feel there is room for improvement because the tracking of the AirPods was very easy before now that you could track the pods and the case separately but now it was changed to the case beeping when you carry it and you get notified about it via your airpod was last seen, sometimes the notifications doesn’t come through and that would mean if I was looking for my AirPods and it wasn’t carried I won’t be able to find it especially if I’m looking for the case separately and may have the ear pods with me. Please help see that this is fixed or improved, thank you 🙏🏻!

Doesn't work with AirPods apparently. I've got a pair of AirPods that have zero issues, however, for some reason the find my AirPod sound finder doesn't work. It'll continuously load despite my AirPods having sufficient charge and being at a nearby range. It isn't a problem with the tracker because it'll give me an estimate of it's whereabouts every once in awhile. This has lead me to believe that the app doesn't actually function so I tested out my theory. I charged my AirPods, and I took one of them out of the case and placed it about 2 feet away from me and went on Find My. I clicked on the sound option and it was still loading, my AirPod was fully charged and 2 feet away from me. I literally placed it in my ear, connected it to my phone and went back to my Find My- it was still loading.

Malfunctioning. Over the past week I have been receiving dozens of notifications per day about items detected traveling with me including AirTags and AirPods Pro and even some “unknown items” from the find my app. The problem is these are all my devices. I know it because I haven’t left the house in a few days and yet the number of “items traveling with me” Kees multiplying. I’ve tried unpairing all of my AirTags and my AirPods Pro and resetting them up with my phone which stopped the alerts for a short bit but within hours they started coming back. It’s a shame apple is so closed-eared to user bug reports. Applecare call center would not open a radar ticket and didn’t know how to resolve, and of course there’s no way to send dev feedback through the findmy app unlock all other consumer apps made by anyone besides apple………

Used to be super helpful. Yesterday I lost my AirPods case in the house and the battery went dead in my actual ear pieces. This started me on the path of why don’t they have a chip in the case… But never mind that I pulled up my app after I found the case and my kitten had now knocked the case under the bed with the AirPods in them and I was giggling because I knew they were close but when I turn on the app it doesn’t find anything it doesn’t see the AirPods it doesn’t see the MacBook Pro or the MacBook Air, much less the pods. Keeps spinning and saying it can take up to a minute. Minutes later it’s still searching for things in this room. It’s not that large a room. What happened, Apple?? Used to be super helpful 😐🙁

Only 1 good thing about the app. FIX YOUR APP!!. The only good thing about the app is the people tracking, device tracking does a HORRIBLE job. Device tracking is rarely updated so it will tell you that you left your AirPods behind, and seeing how expensive they are of course a person would panic. I had to flip my house upside down to find mine. I know I bought them home with me so I opened the app to make it play a sound but it wouldn’t connect, most likely due to the fact that it said they were still located at my workplace. It’s not like I was far from them, they was next to me the whole time and I didn’t notice. The “Find” option wasn’t available either, “Directions” was in it’s place which, again, is a problem due to the EXTREME lack of device tracking updates. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE.

Completely Inaccurate. This app is horrible. The only thing that is accurate about the location is my phone. Whenever I can’t find my airpods, I check the location and it says I left them at the last place I was, even though I know they’re in the car with me because I never take them out of the car. I once drove all the way to Oakland from my house because the app was saying I left them there, but then when I got there it said “nearby” and I tried to play the sound and it said it was playing but I didn’t hear anything. I found them later in my car. The same thing is happening right now and I’m trying to play the sound, but again it’s not playing. This app is so slow and doesn’t work properly at all.

READ PLEASE!!!!. i use the Find My app for various things, see where my boyfriend is, my headphones, and my family can see where im at. BUT it tells me my boyfriend has been in the same location for 414 HOURS….(he hasnt) (he came over and it still said it) so please fix this issue immediately, ALSO when i zoom in, after 5 seconds it pullls me out to a wide p.o.v again and it would be great if it let you stayed zoomed in, other than that its great, just please fix this.

It’s Good but…. I love The App back then When find my friends was it’s own company and not part of Apple. Because it is Missing a Core feature I still want and is still lacking. Find my friends/ family to ping the location on where my loved ones is located! Like similar to Life360! I don’t know why Apple shut it Off! I used this o the Old iPhones it’s was amazing and Find my app now is Good only for Finding well phone, iPods, or keys/ wallet! I would rated a Perfect 5 if it has this feature! Plus if you can Post store on we’re your loved ones work or what not! Just because it makes sense. If a family of for has all IPhones they should do this. APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS!

Useless if you are using CarPlay. Since Apple doesn’t allow most apps to send notifications when using CarPlay, if you spend a lot of time in your car, most of what this app offers won’t work to notify you. I set up Find My notifications when my children arrive and depart school, but it is useless because I am in my car driving with CarPlay connected. It is about time that Apple gives the user the choice to receive notifications while driving. It is no different than receiving text messages which you respond to while driving, why can’t I receive notifications from this app and many other apps while using CarPlay?

Practically Useless. Having misplaced many items, this app is always no help. It will always either tell me that it cannot find a location, or it will tell me when I last used the item and where it was at the last use… I have always, in the past, found my things on my own but now it seems my airpods have fallen out of my bag, and the only help the app is giving me is when I last used them yesterday. This is confusing to me as I know these devices have gps tracking in them, so why can’t the app connect, even when the device is at full battery and even when it is in a near vicinity. Disappointing as it defeats the whole purpose of the app.

Didn’t work when lost AirPods. I could not find my AirPods. I had just traveled about four hours away and stayed in a hotel. When I got home, I was looking for them and pulled up the app and it said they were still at the hotel. I called the hotel to have them search for them. I even played the sound on them, but the staff said they could not find them. It wasn’t until after I bought new AirPods, that I found my old ones in a random pocket of my luggage. Keep in mind, my luggage was with me the entire time, and the AirPods were not dead. Never once did they play the sound, and even after I found them, the app still said they were at the hotel, four hours away. So right when I needed to use the app for what it is intended for, it failed me.

Vacation lost. I still can’t find my AirPods I’ve tried playing the sound but I still can’t find them then I try to play moving around and I move around the whole house and the back yard but I still can’t them I wait at one area for a few minutes but nothing then I start searching myself with no app and I find them on my own , somewhere where the app did not locate them. If anyone can try and help me please do cause I’m on vacation and going back home in a couple of days

AirPod Situation. getting straight to the point with a short story, i lost one air pod yesterday and i’ve searched THE WHOLE ENTIRE HOUSE. didnt find it anywhere. tried using Find My literally no help at all bro. Yes the airpod was dead but that should never be an excuse. I ended up finding the airpod then i lost the case. the case with one air pod in it was not dead. I went to Find My and i went to “Find” it was detecting and saying “near” but as i was searching the area it kept saying “far”. mean while it wasn’t even the bedroom like it said when it were saying “near” it was in the den. Find My needs an update on actually detecting the apple devices and still being able to track dead apple devices, absolutely ridiculous.

Accurate sometimes but not reliable….. I am a mother who likes to keep track of my kids when they are outside. The app is quite accurate most of the times, but sometimes, it just takes too much time to update the location, or even worse when the kids at school or at work, it would show their location at home or in the middle of an open fields!!! Seriously?! I have panicked several times and had to call my children to make sure they are safe. My anxiety has increased for sure! Please fix this issue!!!! How difficult can it be when you can come up with a new phone every year! It would be great if this built in app could be used/ trace even without the availability of data or WiF!

I can’t find my AirPods and this app doesn’t work so I’m upset. I use this app primarily for my AirPods but cant track the case. I can only keep sight of each individual AirPod and often the location is off by a lot. It doesn’t update the location so the only time you know where your AirPods are is where you’d have last had them and been using them. I’ve found that the most common way to lose your AirPods is when your not using them. Also the location and beeping does not work for me if both my AirPods are in the case. Let me type that again THE LOCATION AND BEEPING DOESN'T WORK EVEN IF BOTH MY AIRPODS ARE IN THE CASE. It’s frustrating. It’s often not helpful and tends to make it worse by leading me the wrong way.

Needs some attention. A good number of people sporting iPhone 13 Pro Max seem not to find the Find My widget the widget search, works perfectly fine with older iPhones and iPads , just not the latest iPhones, and I’m NOT creating the widgets on my old iPhone , creating a backup, then putting THAT backup on my iPhone 13 Pro Max to be able to have the widgets sort of grandfathered in since I and a good number of other users aren’t able to create them on our phones , the app itself works perfectly fine

Doesn’t find my anything…. I’ve used the FindMy app on several occasions to track several items. I’ve tracked AirTags in my luggage, iPad, and my new AirPods. FindMy tells me if I’m in a general area, but the app won’t activate the device’s sounds or use the direction finder. I tested it on my latest trip and it didn’t work until my luggage was in front of me. Clearly I don’t need the AirTag if I already have my bags. And today it’s telling my AirPods are somewhere in my house, but it cannot connect or activate sounds. So again, what does this app actually find? I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 only because it at least notifies me of a general area of my devices. Disappointing. I wish this worked better. Those are expensive pieces of equipment.

Useless on AirPod Pros. Twice now I have miss placed my AirPod Pros. I have looked at the location and also hit the play sound when connected button. I have driven to the location that the app says they were at. No AirPods . Well guess what ? Both times the AirPods were within 5 feet of me where I noticed them missing. Not miles away like the app said. And it would not connect to play a sound. I even put the AirPods in my ears. Then the sound played. So then I put them back in the case and guess what ? It the app would not connect to play the found sound. So honestly what good is it for the IPod Pros, if this is the case? Love my iPhone, Love my AirPod Pros. But this app is horrible when it comes to doing what it is supposed to do !

Smart fridge. I LOVE the find my app. I had recently purchased a new smart-fridge and I had been using it for about a week before I lost it. I was so worried and devastated and I even had sent out my rats to find it (to no avail 😔). I paid several grandmas to search for my fridge and even they couldn’t find it. When all hope was lost, Batman suggested this app. I had completely forgotten about this app! The voices never stop. After using this app I was able to find my smart fridge hiding in my attic. Cheeky boy! This app works wonders

Doesn’t always work. Yesterday I couldn’t find my AirPods. So I used the app to play the sound. It wouldn’t connect to play the sound. I looked at the map and it showed my AirPods across town at my music lessons place. Ok. So I call them. No one has seen them. I go down there look around. Try playing the sound because I know they are charged. Nothing. Leave after about half hour looking for them. Map still shows them there. Order a new pair. Find the AirPods the next day- IN MY HOUSE! The map showed them across town and the sound wouldn’t connect. So… now I have a new pair of airpods on the way that I don’t need. Stupid app didn’t work. As soon as I flipped open the lid of the airpods they showed 80% charged and I got a notification on my phone that the airpods were found.

Possibly Saved my grandpas life!. Yesterday we left for Paducah KY, when we got to the hotel, we realized we had not heard from our grandpa (who also lives next to us) all day. I hopped on Find My iPhone, and Made his devices make noise at around 4:00. I got back on the app, and realized his phone and 2 IPads had not turned on since I Pinged them. So we called him and he answered but couldn’t form a single sentence. So we called nearby family to take him to the hospital and Sure enough, he had a major, major stroke. He’s in the hospital right now, but he may have died yesterday if we didn’t have this app.

Useful but frustrating.. My wife works at a college. I have a notification set up to let me know when she leaves work so I can prepare dinner. Sometimes she has to go to other buildings on campus for meetings, and when this happens I get a notification every time she moves saying she has left the college, but if I check her location it says she’s at the college. This is a bug. How can she leave a location and still be there? It’s really annoying because I sometimes get a dozen of these notifications a day, and the only way to reduce the number of notifications is to stop notifications after the first one, but I only care about the last one!

Completely draining my battery. This app is draining my battery during the wee hours until morning. I did some test where I changed my phone to 100% and leave it uncharged throughout the night. I checked the battery usage of my phone in the morning and it is 70%. Battery usage is showing Find My app is draining my battery all through the night. This happened since I update my phone to 17.x version of iOS. Usually battery is still 100% when woke up in the morning. I noticed Home and Lock screen also have significant battery usage. P.S. This was not happening when I got the phone from apple store. 😔 Still draining my battery after 17.1.1 update

basically useless. it works when i want to find my phone but in the regular case i need to find my airpods, i can never even track them correctly. sometimes it doesent show where they are but most times im missing one bud and it doesent play the noise of even the case. the noise thing has not worked even for the case once!! it annoys me how i can never receive help for this because apparently i’m supposed to have a left and right bud option in the app but it doesent appear. i don’t want someone to see this and use it as a sign to use another app. I just want help because i have had to buy airpods again since the app doesent work and i have lost one bud.

Why did you eliminate the Refresh icon?. As of yesterday, in the middle of the day, the refresh button to locate a phone just disappeared, as did the ability to hover over the battery icon on the desktop version to see the actual percentage of battery left. In order to track a loved one now, you have to login again, and again, and again, and again. Prior to yesterday, you could refresh immediately after getting a location. When you have a child traveling abroad and you want to make sure she is walking safely back, you don’t wanna have to log out and log back in over and over. Why did you make this change? It serves no purpose and makes the app functional.

Are there bugs that need fixing still???. I’ve really not had much issues with “find my” until the last few days. It’s not just automatically updating where people or things are like it use to. And even when I go to one of the things, it still sometimes can’t find it and it’s very frustrating! Is there an update that needs to be done soon or something?? I have an iPhone 14 pro but still have issues. The Life 360 app isn’t giving me these same problems though….🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Silly app. Doesn’t work consistently. Find My on AirPods is a joke. It is supposed to play a sound that gradually increases in volume. First of all, it never connects to the AirPods and always says “will play sound once it connects”. I tried keeping the AirPods right in front of my iPhone 13 and tried Find My for my AirPods - it showed the location as my house (talk about needle in a haystack), but wouldn’t play the sound (“will play sound when connected”)! And when I open the AirPods, it then connects to the network and plays an oh-so-feeble sound! I had to literally put it to my ear to hear it. And no, it doesn’t “gradually increase in volume” as noted on Apple’s Find My help page. Pretty bad app (no wonder 3 stars, Apple doesn’t care, not in their best interest to help you find your device, they’re happy to sell you a replacement) and overall CX. 1 star.

Its alright. This app is alright. I like how you can turn on notifications when a family member or friend or partner leave a certain location like home or work, would be nice if find my would have an option to turn on to see how much battery percentage someone has , also would be nice if they took away the location name limit and notifications limits, as far as i know its about 20 labels & notifications allowed per person , would be awesome if we could have unlimited of those option, hope its added in the near future

My Find My Review. I’m sorry that I’m not rating it five stars, but Find My is unfortunately taking its sweet, sweet time to load people’s locations. I’d rate it five stars if it would just do that very exact one thing. I’ve opened and closed the app and retapped on each person and it still won’t load and show me where they’re at. It’s been driving me crazy for several minutes, now, so if that could please be fixed, asap, that’d be great. Otherwise, Find My is a very great and a very useful app for those who want to find their lost devices, lost items, and traveling people. Thank you so much!

Apple Watch location is not accurate. I have an Apple Watch that was stolen and the location on “find my” just updates to match wherever my phone is. The day after it was stolen, it did show where the actual location was (the thief’s whereabouts: they went to walmart, a health center, an auto shop, and then back to their apartment). I didn’t have time to go into the police station the report it that day. When I went in to report the item stolen the following day, I assume because the watch ran out of battery, it would just duplicate whatever location my phone had in very large time intervals. developers should definitely not have the behavior be like this. If it loses battery, it should just update the last known location, not guess that it would be where the owner’s iphone is…

Horrible find nearby feature. It can help you find your stuff when it is far away but can’t do crap when you are looking in your house. I just spent 15min looking for my air pods downstairs because the stupid app said they were nearby. So I went upstairs directly above where I was downstairs because I thought it could be picking it up upstairs. I walked all around the room 3 times and nothing so I went back downstairs and spent another 37 minutes tearing up my downstairs to try to find it because it said it was there. After fuming with rage I look upstairs one more time without the app and find it under a thin sheet. So it can pick up the signal through the fricking sealing but not a thin sheet. This needs to be fixed. Also a arrow would have fricking helped.

Thank you. Thank you Apple or whoever the developer is I found my iPhone or a fisherman dude. But the person who took the phone is a dangerous a thief and it helped us to kind of see what his pattern is . The person that found it floating in the water which is a fisherman gave it to somebody else (the thief had thrown the phone in there )but anyway I’m glad to be here and I’m glad I got my iPhone back .the guys returned my iPhone ,.the good guys. If the police want to look into what happened and track him they have some information from my phone.
