Annoying Money Hungry Roku. it was the most amazing app full control of your tv from the tip of your finger and allowed access to all things like a regular remote, well it updated on its own? and now it has to be paid for… or you cant type on the keyboard and you can’t turn the volume up unless you pay 20$ dollars???? just use your remote and delete this app… or go buy a new remote.. they are fully capable of offering you this app at no charge so now they just found out they can put ads and charge you for random things and they are already a billion dollar company…. who found out they can make money off people who make a honest living…….:. it’s giving no it’s giving don’t download this app :)

Why I think it’s a 4 out of 5. So, I think it’s a 4/5 because every time I’m trying to get to a Chanel the “ Full access” screen pops up and I know its purpose but it’s a little bit annoying. I had to get this app because my roku remote broke and my family can’t afford to get a new one and afford to get the full access, so if this is fixed ( please do) I will rate it a 5 star and I know it’s not like a fair deal but I’m sure others struggle with this to!! Thanks! :)

Horrible don’t download it. I downloaded it just to turn down the volume for my TV because I’m gonna be totally honest I cannot find my remote, but it won’t even let me do that without buying the subscription. It wants me to pay $40 for a remote on my phone when I could go get another remote for cheaper and it’s not that I’m complaining about them having an app to do so but why pay $40 for a remote on my phone when I could go get another one for way cheaper and you may be wondering why I don’t go and buy one it’s just that it’s because I cannot afford $40 for a remote on my phone or $20-30 for a remote at Walmart. so overall, my review is a one star but if I could go negative it’ll be -5. Also, it’s horrible don’t download it it’s worthless.

When it works, it’s great.. I purchased the year after the trail run and it worked great for a month or so & then just stopped connevting. It would say I’m connected to the tv but remote never changed. I was within the same Wi-Fi. I deleted & redownloaded again, worked great for a couple months again & then just stopped connecting to my bedroom tv. I did the same thing over again, made sure everything was up to date and then deleted and redownloaded. Nothing. Contacted sunstone support, I have to update my phone. That’s all too much to have to hope and pray it’s going to work.

Something is off here…. So you see I don’t have remote because it’s lost and apparently it’s not connected to our net work trying to find a solution still but so far nothing and it doesn’t really even work there’s like so many ads everywhere and all that kind of stuff it makes no sense you know like it’s remote so I don’t know what this App Store deal is but it’s not worth it it’s not even a free trial it just charges you The second you realize it doesn’t even work if you see this comment… ⚠️DON’T BUY PREMIUM!!!⚠️ developers if you see this please find a way to fix this app… T-T

SUCKY!!! Use another app!!!!. I have gone through so many of these roku apps to replace my chewed up remote and this app (as well as some others) are so packed with AD’s that is enraging to try and navigate the dang app! You tap the screen three times, AD. You accidentally close it and when you open it a half second later, AD. You are hitting the X button out of the ad and it opens your browser for… more AD’s. So now I’m back to hunting for an app that isn’t going to tick me off trying to just click a button.

This is a fake app with fake reviews.. I rated 5 stars so this would actually be seen. Connects to TV (I can tell by the TV ID #) and never works as a remote otherwise. Doesn’t change channels or even provide the apps you do have on your device. No sounds, any indication at all that anything is going on besides you pressing your screen looking dumb! This app is a scam and please don’t purchase a subscription that is mandatory in order to even open the app itself

Didn’t work still charged $30 for the year and denied refund. I purchased this because my TV remote had broken and I needed to see if one of these apps will work with my phone until I can get to the store to buy a new remote. Upon downloading it did not work and I deleted the app but apparently there is a three day trial and then $30 charged for the year. I contacted Apple and they denied my refund and then I read re-issued a statement asking for a refund again and they denied it again and now they’re saying if I go to my bank to get them the charge back to charge my Apple ID could be disabled. That seems kind of ridiculous and I won’t stop until this is resolved.

Bad. It is extremely delayed and none of the actions canceled each other. Most times what you press doesn’t register anyway from the app to your TV but if it does you will have to wait for the movements to register (up to 10 seconds each press) and sit through the movements in the order that you pressed them. Lastly, you have to pay for simple things like being able to use a keyboard or the little search tool on your own TV (a feature a lot of TVs already have). There are pop up ads for every 1 minute or so while you are using the app…which I would think they would make enough money with ads instead of having people pay for simple features. Bad.

Paid for. Be careful 😊 Also drains battery. The Only reason I’m giving this 3 stars is because I paid for full access (A one time purchase) so I would not have to feel as though I’m wasting money every month. sometimes, this remote app will do certain things, such as, when I try to turn up my volume, or use the power button to turn the TV on, it will say “one time purchase for full access”, as if my remote was not already paid for. 🤨 I am sure they are aware how much money was taken out of my account for this remote. They try this year after year as if I did not pay. Haha. If someone didn’t know any better they would keep paying, sending this remote company money- when the truth is-they have already paid for full access. Am I bashing this company? Nope! But they sure can improve on certain things & stop certain things all together!! Also, when I try to turn the TV on I have to press the power button many times for it to come on even when directly pointed at the tv. This remote will Also will drain your battery. So after you put on your show, exit off the remote app and lock your phone.

Love this app!. There is nothing worse when you are all ready to relax and settle into some mind numbing tv and u can’t find ur remote! I even went as far as super gluing a gps “Tile” on it to find it faster. When all else fails, or I do t want to seek and find…I just grab my cell and I AM GOOD! I love the new full screen with large buttons. Helps us old geezers really get our programming on. Highly Recommend, easy flat fee for the whole year, you will be thanking this review after you get it—do it!

Very disappointed. Would give no starts if possible. Apparently this app once once upon a time downloaded on my old phone. I didn’t know and needed a remote to use for our tv so got on my phone and downloaded it. It sent me through the process and to start my free trial. I got the app. Could not get it connected to the tv (got it and tried it October 1st) since it didn’t work for me I cancelled it SAME DAY. Next day I got denied my request couldn’t figure out why so called Apple. Bc it was used once upon a time even tho it offered free trial and I didn’t realize it had been used before bc I’m using a different phone they could not refund it for me. It charged me $43. I’m very disappointed.

Laughable. Without a payment you’ll be able to have access to about five buttons and not one is volume… While it provides the ability to click through options on your tv, keeping the basics ability to turn your tv down and switch between channels behind a paywall is just laughable. To ask for money for something many other free apps provide while ALSO constantly bombarding the user with a constant pop up to buy premium which can result in a very accidental click just feels dirty and wrong. A fast money grab for those unable to catch it in time when scrolling with the four buttons provided to scroll and one button to select.

Connection problems + predatory subscription. • Even after following all troubleshooting steps the app suggests (and many others that I know can/could work for such issues), the app never saw a single other device on my network. That stops it from doing its one job. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ • MUCH BIGGER ISSUE: In order to even try to see if it will work (such as detecting other devices, much less working as a remote for them), you have to purchase a subscription. That's annoying, but still not wrong. You can agree to a three-DAY trial that will then switch to a $30 ANNUAL subscription, or you can pay $20 for a LIFETIME subscription. They are obviously counting on users activating the trial and forgetting about it, hopefully for years, so they can drain money from them until they realize. This is a flagrantly anti-consumer practice that is morally repugnant. Stay away from this company.

Premium plan popup 5 times in first 2 minutes. I used this app for about 2 minutes. In those 2 minutes, I was accosted by the option to upgrade to premium 5 times, and once to rate the app. It takes a few seconds for the option to exit out of the premium page, with the X being hard to spot, while the Continue and purchase button was blue and extremely visible. This was extremely annoying, and it seems disingenuous. The page also pops up so quickly that it seems intended for you to accidentally click on a tier plan or buy option before your fingers realize you’ve stopped scrolling.

Great app. Got the lifetime app. Previous version (to the current one) was very good. Now they have updated (update was free). This version is even better. I have a large screen Sony tv; nice product. But the stock remote, which has a lot of buttons and settings burns through batteries at an incredible rate even though I adjusted settings to minimize battery usage. Now, with this app, i don’t use batteries. This is no contest; a great app and they want it to be better. Amazing in this day where few things meet their advertising.

👎🏽. So I downloaded the app because I lost my tv remote. This app gave me like a 3 day free trial but after like a day later I found my remote and didn’t need the app anymore so I canceled the subscription and it still had a day in the free trial. Like 2 or 3 months later I tried downloading an app and it wouldn’t let me the App Store said I had to update my payment method. So I went into my cash app because that’s the card I put on the app so I could get the free trial and I saw that this app was trying to charge me $40 for an app that I don’t use and that I canceled before the free trial was over. I don’t know but it looks to me like they are trying to scam people.

Eh. I know this won’t be seen, but might as well write this anyways. First, I can only press the arrows and the OK buttons, alongside the back and close buttons. Everything else needs a subscription, I mean seriously why?! At least let your users turn the volume up or down, jeez. Second, WHY DOES A YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION COST 40$ A YEAR BUT A PERMANENT SUBSCRIPTION COSTS 30$?!?!?! That’s just ridiculous marketing, either increase the permanent subscription price or decrease the yearly subscription price. They both might be dumb, but at least it’s decent marketing and has actual reasoning.

Charged for subscription after canceleing. I’m writing this review because I’m getting the run around so to the people that look at the reviews here is my honest opinion! I downloaded this app a year ago. It didn’t work for what I needed it too and originally gleaned with a free trial. So I downloaded it agreed to the free trial realized within that same hour that it wasn’t what I needed and cancelled the subscription (same day) and undownloaded the app. It never showed up in my subscription menu after the free trial so I thought nothing of it. Now here we are a year later and I’m being charged $40 for a yearly subscription to something I cancelled a year ago, did not use or even have on my device longer than an hour, and haven’t even seen in my subscriptions tab. And now because I haven’t paid it I’m no longer allowed to download apps until I update my payment method and pay this $40. I was instructed by Apple to pay the balance and then request a refund to resolve my problem (with no guarantee that I would actually get a refund!) the problem is I don’t have $40 to pay it/ or loose if it’s not refunded even if I was able to get the $40. So now my Apple ID is not usable to download anything because this app will not remove the charge that isn’t supposed to be there in the first place. I tried contacting support and couldn’t even find it. So if I could give negative stars I would. Be cautious with downloading this app unless you want unwarranted charges to your account.

This app is a scam. Rating this five stars so that this can be seen. Signed up for the three day free trial to see if it would even connect to my tv and it didn’t, but within seconds I was charged 32 dollars. I’m starting to think that these other five star comments are fake….. I also emailed that support evolly email that they have been responding to comments with, and that is a fake email!! I have tried to reach out to them multiple times and it never goes through. I don’t know why apple would even put a fraudulent app like this on their site…

Spent a lot of money on this before for easy typing now it’s no longer possible. I spent like at least 10$ maybe 20$ on this a long time ago and I just fired it up to type a web address on tv iv clicked every button menu option in this app while I was in the web address bar cursor blinking the app used to just blow up a keyboard automatically whenever I navigated to a text box now it doesn’t do that or have a option to do so save you money but a fire stick it’s cheaper the fire tv app is free and the fire tv app has “lightbulb” a seamless integration of typing from phone and projecting your key strokes in the form of characters whenever it is an option you desire! SCREW THIS APP!!!

Quick Setup, Works Flawlessly. At that time of downloading this app, my Sony Bravia (KDL 60W850B) is 9 yrs old. It’s been in the garage 4yrs. Remote is lost. I downloaded the “Remote Control App” for Sony. However that app failed to connect to my TV (automatically and manually). I was hesitant to download and buy this app but the 300K+ ratings convinced me to try. Within 10 seconds after downloading and purchasing, I successfully connected to my TV. The app accesses all features perfectly. For me at least, it’s worth the $30 lifetime purchase price.

Asks you to pay too many times. It’s COMPLETELY FREE so 5stars on that. Every time it asks me to pay I just hit the X button & continue using it for free like it’s nothing, So I’m confused on why so many people are paying subscriptions, the free 3 day trial than deleting it, or LIFETIME subscription; it’s crazy a lot of y’all pay when y’all could use it for free. I’m all about saving money😂 I use this as a back up; every time we lose the remote. It works for all the T.V’s in the house so it’s very handy & useful. But, using it, after so many clicks (pushing the buttons to scroll) it asks to upgrade. No you don’t HAVE to upgrade but it gets annoying. So after like 10 clicks the add pops up every single time. That’s the only bad thing. Other than that it’s Free, works good, & is accurate with all T.V’s. I’d give it 5stars if the “subscribe now 3 day free trial” add wouldn’t pop up after every 10+ clicks

For developers and explaining bad things. Your responses just act like robots and y’all don’t fix anything everyone level down the five stars and put one star down like how do these problems not bother you continuous ads and or pop-ups after you paid lifetime yearly or monthly I didn’t want to pay because I knew after looking at the other reviews that I shouldn’t do that because it forces you to charge even after you uninstall the app which is 30 bucks and 40 bucks I hate this app so much because every time I just press something it promotes me to just pay the subscription when I don’t want to so I can’t control my grandma‘s TV. that is so annoying. overall, it could be zero stars if it was available. I hate this app!😡😡😡🤬

Works, but not what I’m looking for.. The app works and I appreciate that there’s an option to buy it outright rather than monthly payments forever. But sadly it does not feature a way to turn of the picture so that you only get sound like the remote that came with the tv. My IR sensor is broken so I’ve been reduced to using a keyboard and mouse. Sadly, that method cannot turn off the picture, or bring up the option to do so. I love giving my screen a break when I’m using my white noise video to sleep.

Roku tv remote control app. It’s a great app for my tv . The remote control that came with the tv is very small , compared to the iIndustry standard.. Am always miss placing it , but with the app am good to go. There are Great features that come with remote. I can us my ear buds that came with the phone I have . Giving me great surrounding stereo sound, and privacy,not disturbing others, because of hearing loss . It one of many features that the app offers.

Scam!!!!. Offers a three day free trial and instead just charges you $40. Stay far away. response to app developer- No, this is a scam because you guys offer a three day free trial and you never get the three day free trial. You guys just automatically charge $40. You think after all these complaints you would fix it but you clearly have not. that’s why you’re a scam because you have not fixed it. There are literally complaints about you guys doing a bait and switch with the three day free trial. Don’t be a liar and a thief, you need to be kicked out of the Apple Store, ASAP. FYI, I never even tried it with my TV so I don’t even know if it works because I was so flabbergasted that I got charged immediately upon signing into the app after selecting the three day free trial. After that, I wanted no part of your app. If you’re sneaky and conniving like this, I wouldn’t doubt you like to steal peoples information as well.

Universal remote. I have been using this universal remote since August 2023, every since my original Samsung remote went “MIA” - so I don’t pay for the full version. Because I can get up and turn the TV on manually & adjust the volume control. What I like about this remote, that I have found is that - you don’t need to use your original remote to allow access. Many other apps, require that you use the original remote to allow the use of the “App” remote.

Works for a second. Ok so I got it and I couldn’t press anything without the subscription popping up, I went back to it to see if anything was fixed possibly or someone responded to my other review, but then I went back and it worked for only a few clicks for me to hover over the app I wanted, unable to select it.I cannot afford to pay for this right now, and my remotes lost. It’s alright tho The developer reached out and told me there trying to fix it, I appreciate the help thank you so much.

I review. This app is a very good app. There are a few things that I don’t like like I feel personally like there are too many ads. Do you have to click a lot for like the mouse to move that’s the things I don’t like about it but the things I do like about it arm that you can cancel out the ads whenever you want you can watch whatever TV do you want but some of the curtains you have to pay for but it is a very cheap app overall and I like it quite a bit and I will continue to use this app.

SCAM!!!!!!. Wish I could make this the headline comment but hopefully you see this before you download. You download it works for about 1 minute, then you figure cool a remote you click the “FREE TRIAL” button because if force pops up on your screen and you can’t use it unless you choose a plan or what they labeled as “free trial” but then it proceeds to charge you the annual $40 not 3 day free trial like it says just forces you to pay for the annual package and then you will never be able to connect again to the tv it has nothing to do with internet speed I have fiber and it still wouldn’t connect after I got scammed into a year package! (IF YOU SEE THIS REPORT THIS APP AND BRING THEIR STARS DOWN TO AVOID OTHERS FROM BEING SCAMMED BY THIS COMPANY TRYING TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK OFF OF PEOPLE)

Works but isn’t user friendly. I’ve had no connection issues the buttons I press work however I think I should be able to lower or raise my volume I feel as if that’s a basic need for a tv remote unfortunately this is the best app as it doesn’t force you to get premium to continue using still ads pop up every 5 button pushes or whatever it’s not fun maybe add ads on the side of the screen or an option to watch ads for an amount of time to use the remote something better than this passive aggressive app

the remote. I give this five stars because it literally help my remote connect so easily you have to do about like two steps one get the app to just connected to your TV please except the allow and everything will just go to literally acceptable like for real. It is so good I could use this for 70 years on my iPhone. It is so good to finally not using a remote remote that is not on the remote. It is on a device so I gave this a five and I hope you guys like it too. You should try the apple it’s incredible piece.

Horrible app.. This app is terrible. My parents recently lost their TV Remote so I downloaded this app to help me and my parents to controller TV. The remote has been missing for a few months and I’ve been using this app but every once in a while, it will keep popping up the free trial thing and I don’t want it and after a few months of having this app you can’t use it at all because the free trial thing keeps popping up. though it is good for controlling the TV but if you can’t even turn up your TV because you need to pay for the free trial thing, so you have to manually turn up the TV

Very good but pricey, now useless. I am revising my rating from 4 stars to 1 star. Since the latest app update, the app is a total fail. You have. The app loses its connection every time the phone goes to sleep or you do anything else with your phone outside of this app. You have to either force quit the app and restart it or disconnect the TV and reconnect. The only response from the developer is the boilerplate delete and reinstall the app and restart your phone, which I did to no avail. I informed them and have heard nothing new. So in the trash it goes as well as my lifetime premium. What follows is my first review. If it were a little cheaper I would give it 5 stars. It works great. Nice layout. Practically no response lag time. I purchased a replacement remote for my TV which lasted all of 3 months. I wish I had bought this app then rather than wasting that money. P.S. one deficiency I have found is the lack of fast forward or reverse. If I push and release forward or reverse on my Samsung remote, the program moves 15 seconds, or something like that. If I push and hold it continuously moves in those 15 second increments moving faster and faster as I continue to hold. I can find no similar function with this app. If you want to move forward or backward more than the 15 seconds, you have to keep tapping time and time again.

Must have app. This is the best app. I have 4 kids a s never a remote. It is well worth the 20 dollars paid, considering how many replacements I have ordered over the year. The best feature is once you name your tv’s you can turn them off from anywhere; example I woke in middle of night to the sound of a blaring upstairs television. I went to my app and was able to turn it off as well as the ones in the kids rooms—and I never left my bedroom. Buy buy buy — .

Too many ads and disconnects all the time!. My tv remote is lost… so I’ve been trying to find a good tv remote app. Well that’s impossible!!! I have a hard time keeping this app and my tv linked. Also seriously with the ADS NONSTOP! Literally you push the buttons a few times(if that) ADS. You stop for a second to watch a preview… more ADS and/or disconnects. If you have a smart TV and you have to down the power with each disconnection to reconnect. So you start over, which is a pain and takes too much times when you have to do this all the time! But otherwise this app set up is pretty good. But fix the ADS, WAY TOO MANY!!! And fix how easily it disconnects!!! Then you’ll have a pretty good app. But until then… 1 star. I’m ready to go buy a universal remote. Technology has failed again!!!

Remote. So far after 5 years this TV remote has done good. Have had some issue, the main one is I have to touch the buttons on the remote several times to get a response on the TV but that could be the phone issue or the Wi-Fi issue. It’s hard to say. But when I use it on a different TV. The layout of the remote will definitely change dramatically to common date that different TVs layout, which that is a good thing. So as of now it’s worth the money, I got the life time and shared it with the wife on the iPhone share account and that it awesome. Doug NC

Useless for free and charges you $40. The app itself does little to nothing unless you pay the $40 fee which unlocks all the features (like seriously I couldn’t even turn on or off my tv for free) There is a free trial that lasts 3 days which I signed up for because I just needed to turn my tv off because I lost the remote once I got the free trial i canceled it immediately afterwards (I do this for all of my subscriptions so I don’t forget and get charged) however I got charged anyways!! I already deleted the app and canceled the free trial and yet somehow I was still charged for it! In my advice stay away from the app it seems like a scam and it’s useless for free so it’s not even worth a download.

Lost my remote. I straight up have no idea where it went. So I downloaded this app and at first was worried because it said I needed to use my physical remote to allow this app to access my television. Somehow I managed to bypass that and have been using this as my sole remote for the last few days. It’s awesome and has some really nice added features (like switching between apps on my tv without having to back out of the app U am using). I really love it and glad to have it.

Doesn’t work. So when you first launch, it offers your choice between a three day trial then annual subscription for $30/yr or a one-time of $20. I took the latter because I just know I will forget to remove my subscription. I turned on my Sony Bravia and the app detected it correctly. Unfortunately, it then says to use the original remote to allow access. There’s the snag: no such screen appears to do that, and while I’m a tech savvy person I have been unable to locate such an option. Furthermore, the app has a contact us button which doesn’t do anything and the app store support link doesn’t actually show this app. I feel like I was just scammed out of $20.

Do Not Download - Scam. I can assure you that there is no free trial for this app – I’ve documented all my cancellation requests and they were not honored. They charged me ( despite sending an e-mail per their instructions within moments of downloading) now I have to go through the hassle of having the charges reversed. There’s too many hard-working developers out there – don’t give this developer your money. Or your time.

Was charged during my free trail. Wish I read the reviews because I am now seeing that numerous people have been charged during the free trail just like I was. I cancelled my subscription during the free trail because the remote DOES NOT work and they charged me $40 immediately. Do not get this app even if you break your remote by sitting on it because you’ll be scammed out of your money. Just go for a walk or buy a new remote I promise it’s not worth it. And before they reply saying cOntAct aPpLe fOr a rEfuNd I did and they denied my refund twice so now i’m stuck with a tv remote app that can’t even turn my tv on and a unfair charge to my account. EDIT: The developers of this app are crooks and won’t even own up to what they did. No, the price of this app is not reasonable when you’re charging your users during the free three-day trail. It’s also not reasonable when the remote doesn’t even work even when both your TV and phone are connected to the same WiFi. Instead of downplaying what people are saying after you take their money maybe take the criticism and actually fix your app.

Unbelievably predatory. I downloaded this app because my TV remote wasn't working and this seems like a good and easy fix it connected to my TV seamlessly making me believe that I could use it, but it actually cost of money fine I understand the avenue to make revenue or whatever but I saw a three day free trial and I decided to give it a shot. I planned on canceling it because I just didn't have money for that at the time and I was just testing my resources as soon as I signed up for the trial. I put in my car information. It charged me for a year plan even though I said it was a three day free trial. I'm very frustrated and trying to get a refund upon paying for the premium service. The remote still did not even work and I'm very frustrated and I want my money back

Tv remote gets the job done.. The app works and get’s the job done. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review is because, You have to pay money to get the full package… I got the lifetime membership for around 30 dollars. I don’t regret the purchase, because i really like having a Tv remote on my phone. But to anyone who is thinking about downloading this app, just know it will pop up an advertisement constantly, until you spend money.

Little upset with this app/SCAM STAY AWAY!!!!!!. Update: so I got a response from the app developers or whoever it was and they told me to “cancel the app and reach out to Apple for the refund”. So I did. Apple states it’s not eligible for a refund on their end bc it’s a third party app and I have to deal with it through them. I’m gonna take the loss on the 40$ they SCAMMED ME OUT OF but make no mistake I will make sure every single person I know never uses this app or any related!!!!!! Shame on you for ripping people off!!!!! So I signed up for a free trial of this app to see if it worked with my TV. Of course it doesn’t. But when I clicked on the free trial it charged me for a full year of service. I have no idea who to contact or even how to go about getting a refund. The remote won’t work with my TV so now $52 later I am stuck with a useless app and $50 gone that I couldn’t afford to lose. Can someone reach out to me about this please?????

I hate this app. This app caused me to loose 40 dollars for absolutely nothing. You cannot open the app and click on much of anything until you get the notification that you have to pay for an unlimited service. It’s 5 dollars a week 10 dollars a month or you can have a three day free trial. When I saw this I obviously knew which one I would chose however I didn’t see the very small fine print that said 40 dollars for a year after the free trial. As you can imagine I forgot to cancel the subscription and was very alarmed to see that it had taken 40 dollars out of my account. I make 15 dollars an hour. Going back and reading the fine print I felt extremely upset with the sneakiness of this app. After I swiftly cancelled my subscription it said that I would still be able to use the app for a year, which makes sense given the FOURTY DOLLAR EXPESE but the next time I opened the app it wouldn’t let me use premium features. I have never been this frustrated at an app.

It’s alright…. The remote works and you can’t control the channel buttons and the volume if you don’t pay a fee. Otherwise, it works just fine. The reason I’m writing this is because I paid 30 bucks for full access to the remote (lifetime payment) . It was working like magic for the first couple of days, then it said I didn’t pay anything? I’m confused about that and it makes me upset. Anyways, there are no ads on this app which makes it awesome. But please fix this glitch I mentioned. Thank you.

You need remote to connect. The remote has to be able to approve the apps connection to use it. I tried using the actual tv to do it but it wouldn’t work either. useless. The person that made the app says it works on multiple tv but that wasn’t my point. My point is that you either need a remote or access by TV to connect the app which is useless when you have newer TVs that don’t have the buttons on the side and when you’ve lost/broken your remote. Fortunately for me i have a samsung and they have a app that allows you to use a remote so i would recommended looking up if your brand also has one

Do not even try the 3 day trial it is a scam you will be charged the year automatically.. I am so upset its not just $3 or $8 that were charged after just wanting to try the 3 day trial it was the whole $40 for the year subscription that I was charged right away. I didn’t even get to try it out. I did not like it and my tv was not compatible. I reached out they denied my refund. I reached out to Apple and they can’t do anything apparently. Just imagine how many people this has happed to and the thousands of dollars we as Apple customers have been robbed for. We work hard for our money. Waste of money. This app is a joke. When it works it’s fine. But most the time won’t ever load and is rubbish. And yes both tv and phone are connected to same wifi. Don’t waste your time or money on this app. I wish I could get my money back.

works well. It does work really well but in an ad it said it was free, you can use it a few times but then it’ll want you to pay for it which can be annoying considering I didn’t think you had to pay for it.

Can just manage. This is the only remote app the worked with EKO TV. It won’t load on multiple phones so only 1 phone/tablet in the household can use app at any time. The channel up/down doesn’t work so we need to go to the other screen and arrow up or down channels. Until we get a new remote we will have to deal with this clunky app

App doesn’t work. Unfortunately this app does not work for all TVs and a warning it is not free. You have to sign up for a “free 3 day trial” using credit card before being able to determine whether it will work for your brand of TV. Then they make it impossible to cancel your subscription.

Renewed my subscription early. App doesn’t work when free; i was checking my emails and found out the app had taken money for a yearly subscription not only early, but also after i had contacted them and said i want to unsubscribe. Tv remote 6/6/23. It’s good if you lost a tv remote. But it’s still not the best if you lost your phone or iPad or tablet because it might be flat/dead/out of battery so not the best but you should try it if you have a charged device and try giving it a go. Also it’s still good for trying but not if you lose your device. As well as I said it’s not to good for out of battery device. It may be hard but your tv screen WILL pop up with some numbers (for example) you want the app and you get the app. There will pop up with some numbers on your tv and you have to use the numbers to confirm your tv is on your phone!

Not happy!. Downloaded this App. While l was deciding if l wanted the 3 day trial or to pay one off of $30. The app started up itself! I now don’t know how to use it, as no instructions and tried to contact them, cannot access them. Works on Kogan TV. Connected first try to my Kogan TV over WiFi. Didn’t require internet access on the WiFi network used to connect to the TV, so I assume it’s not trying to do anything funky across my network (for reference the TV is on an isolated network and has no internet access).

Do not recommend, didn’t even work.. I don’t recommend this app. Firstly it wouldn’t let me do anything without upgrading to premium, then when I did, it wouldn’t do anything. It’s connected to my TV, yet the TV is not responding to the app. Very disappointed. Terrible. I thought this app would be good, but it wasn’t. You needed to connect the remote using the physical remote but I was using this because my remote wasn’t working. Then you also have to buy the premium subscription to do anything at all.

Don’t waste your money with this app. I selected the free trial, the app connected to the tv but didn’t actually work. I canceled the subscription the same day and it still charged me the yearly fee and said my subscription will end in a year. Not happy at all. Didn’t work. Our dog chewed the remote and we thought this would be a quick solution to turn the TV off. You need to be able to allow the permissions on the TV after you connect and we obviously couldn’t do that. We also had a TV on in the bedroom at the same time we were messing around with this and now that keeps changing to Spanish language. I deleted the app and canceled the trial - hopefully I won’t get charged for a yearly subscription like some other folks have.

This dose work. Ok so I just broken my remote and so I download it a different Roku TV remote but it don’t work so I download this one and it work I really love this on because we have two remotes but one don’t work and the other just broken this app fixed all that it deserves a five star

The only reason I use it is when my controller is lost.. Every night, I turn on sleep music that is necessary for me to sleep well. With my controller, this takes about 15 seconds, maybe 30 if I need to find my wifi, but on HERE,it takes about 1 minute to successfully enter the sleep music and be able to rest. Why? ADS. I had 3 ads before even connecting to my tv, which is also a pain, and resilts in more time, but 3 Ads? Really? The greed the creator(s) of this app have is too much. Only install if you need it.

Even simple volume controls require a subscription. I get the people who maintains these apps need to make money, but $9 a month just to access the volume control is just abusive marketing. If you want your basic features to be paid for, just list it as a paid app. Not pretend it’s “free” when it really isn’t because even basic bottom barrel features are accessible without a subscription.

Works but the Roku remote does not. Roku stopped working in my bedroom; and the Roku express remote in the living room volume/voice does not work and then the remote stopped working altogether. And yes; I changed the batteries; and not one sentence of troubleshooting actually helped anything. This would be a cost-effective alternative to high-cost cable- IF THE DARNED THING WORKED! I realize-I paid for a mediocre model; but wanted to ensure I didn’t waste money on a higher priced version. Such an unfortunately unreliable streaming device.

Does not pair to Samsung tv. So I lost my Samsung smart tv remote control and when I try using this app as a Smart Control, it pairs to TV but I can’t hit accept device on TV because the tv has no buttons on it and I don’t have my lost remote to hit accept on the new device. Control App. Work perfectly!! New phone. Not working consistently. What do I do?. It worked fine on my old device and I was satisfied. I got a new Apple device and it doesn’t work consistently. I paid for a lifetime service. Love it. It helps you if you loose your remote. I use it on my tv all the time and it is awesome. There is one thing bad you have to pay if you want to turn of your tv turn up your tv and other stuff let’s just call it premium. So I love it except for that part so this is why I give it four stars.

Works for a while, but waste of money when it stops. I got this app when my wife had Covid, so we could be around each other but I didn’t have to touch her remote. Well it worked amazing and I loved it so much that I bought the full price version. Now, a month later, the app will not link to my tv’s. I’ve emailed customer service but didn’t receive a response. Hopefully they’ll help me eventually because if not then I just wasted $20 on a pointless app.

Great for temporary use. It's a wonderful substitution for maybe a broken or missing remote, however, I don't quite understand why the volume button isn't included without purchasing a subscription? That's my only issue with it, everything else works fine.

Working great now. I purchased the remote app and it works great w my Sony TV. I do wish I could change the default control panel (the arrow keys to swipe). But overall it works great. There are sometimes sync issues but if I close the app and restart, it works fine. Great remote control app!

Remote that doesn’t power on.. I like this remote as it does more than the actual remote does… BUT it won’t power on my tv. If the tv is on too long it automatically powers down in the night. The remote app will not power it on and then I’m still stuck trying to hunt the actual remote down to power the tv back on. Which is usually impossible with a toddler and the reason I paid for this app. Really don’t understand why it does that but it really defeats the purpose for the app.

Awful. I really don’t understand why they promise a free trial and then just continue to charge you. I deleted my subscription literally 4 minutes after downloading because it wasn’t compatible with my TV. I made sure to cancel the subscription before deleting the app to avoid any problems. It doesn’t work. I’m not sure how this app received many reviews. It simply doesn’t work. I purchased the app and paid full price and that was a mistake. I purchased the app to control my tv when I cannot find the actual remote and almost every time I try to use the app, my Samsung tv displays a message that I have to use the actual remote control to allow the app access. dont fall for the 3 day trial. I wanted to try this app for 3 days while I was in the hospital and it charged me for the full year. I immediately contacted the company and they said I needed to go through Apple to get the refund processed. I requested a refund through Apple and was denied. Sent it in for review, denied again. I wish these money hungry people could understand that $40 is not pocket change for some people!! There goes my grocery money, for a stupid remote app that i will NEVER use again. We got our remote ruined!😂. My tv was on when I miss placed the remote and started using this app. So I’m not sure if it will work to turn it on. Scam charged me for yearly subscription automatically. This charged me 30$ for a yearly subscription automatically and i never had an option to cancel it. Just automatically took 30$ from my bank account. This is a scam and i want my refund

works but TOO MANY ADS!!. i just downloaded this app and it connected instanly, the problem is after you click the button a few times the ad pops up and it is so annoying!! Me personally i wouldn’t mind the ads but its after each time you click the button. Great app overall.

Don’t waste your time. At the moment I’m asking for my money back. The app working for like an hour but then an annoying message keeps popping up. I’ve contacted customer service and all they told me was to delete and redownload the app and to restart my phone… did that twice. It didn’t work…. I even purchased the lifetime product. It must have some bug or something going on. I only have one device connected and it can’t even connect to that one and only.

Smart Tv. This is my first time using a tv I can mirror phone from and I thought it was the coolest thing ever I’m 26 and when I seen that my phone was on the tv it’s like the biggest smile on my face happened and I stil think it’s the coolest thing ever. What a great idea especially if u don’t have tv and got WiFi it’s a great thing to use. I totally recommend this

Roku remote. It can be extremely difficult to turn my tv on with the remote but once it’s on it’s easy to use. At times I’ve attempted several times before actually before my tv to turns on. This is the only problem I’ve experience so far and every thing else is easy like changing channels, turn up or down volume, and searching options. A feature that is nice is the touch remote it’s nice and easy to navigate!

Trash. You download this app and use it for the intent of working your television. It won’t let you adjust the volume unless you purchase the subscription. The subscription is some 48 hours and after you get charged $30 (the price of a regular remote). You try and cancel subscription before the 48 hours is up only to be charged before then. This is fraudulent misrepresentation. They do not respond to your e-mail and rob you of your money. Just save your money and buy a universal remote at the store.

Terrible. I thought it’d be a great idea to download a remote on my phone since my kids constantly lose the remote. I wasn’t planning on paying for any of the packages because I didn’t care about being able to open apps on the tv all I wanted was the ability to change the channel and control the volume... you know the bare minimum.... well all you’ll be able to do is find a channel from a Home Screen because literally every other button requires you to purchase a subscription.

Bluetooth remote. Freaking amazing I can’t even tell you how much I love this app. I’m not going to lie the only reason I got this app was because I lost my remote but it has so many features my old one didn’t have why would I want to go back now.

Finally!!!. I’ve legit tried almost every remote app and none worked they couldn’t even find my tv! This one I didn’t have anything to lose figured why not just try but I’m so freaking happy it is perfect!! Nothing I can’t do as my tv remote!!! Def worth it!!!

Awful App. After selecting “3 day free trial” the app was downloaded and then makes you connect to the tv via WiFi. If the tv was not already set up at other WiFi the remove app WILL NOT WORK AT ALL. Then when you try to cancel it it is wayyyy complicated. I have an iPhone- after lots of searching here is how you cancel your subscription: 1. Go to settings 2. Click on your name 3. Click on subscriptions 4. Click on this awful app 5. Click cancel subscription.

Great app. Go to app when your remote is on the fritz. You can’t believe how much it’s helped! My grandson basically chewed the remote when no one was looking. Since then the remote stays “on” the power button lit and runs batteries out. We have tried everything to reset but then we found this app! What a great substitute. Thank you!

Won’t connect. I had it connected once but it went off and disconnected my husband’s computer. I finally got his computer online with another network. I have a Roku tv in another room and two tvs have a Roku ultra. I’ve misplaced one remote and this app keeps connecting to the tv in another room. It will not connect to the Roku device I want and try connecting to. I unplugged one ultra so this is the right one. It just spins but won’t connect. I can see why they get your money before the download and you can’t get it back.

Download if you lost remote. Skip searching for the right remote app , because I did it and I can say this has got to be the best one the ads ain’t all in your way popping up every second , it connects and works fast and easy set up.

Need refund. Had to purchase full version twice on two separate devices even though they are on the same family plan and should have just “downloaded previous purchase”. Second issue is it’s been crashing right when I click on the device I wish to control. It’s been doing this for two months. Which is how long I’ve had this app on my second device. Everything is up to date so it’s not a software issue

Not so sure why this app rates so high.. It’s worked once on day one of the free trial. Now after the fact of the 1 year subscription it doesn’t recognize my tv, or it will then shortly afterward lose the connection and not get it back, or recognize another tv in the house (they’re all the same brand and year model, though different sizes) besides the one I want to use it for. Restarting the tv, router and app don’t seem to do the trick. Furthermore, I don’t feel I should have to jump through all these hoops just to get the software to function.

Literally turns your phone into a universal remote. My lg remote is broken to the point of no return and a new would have cost me 70 dollars. Got this app for less than half that! My only complaint is that you have to continuously tap the fast forward and back button to get to a part of a show that you want to skip or go back to.

My remote shot craps. So yeah my remote just stopped working. I changed the batteries and nothing. I considered ordering a new one, but, shipping time and all. So I got the app. Paid the one time fee of 20 bucks and boom. Works fantastic. Plus, now when I want to search for something, it’s a quick and easy thing to type it in on my phone and... yeah cool. Thanks for the ROKU app you crazy cool folks !

TERRIBLE. I honestly wish I could leave a NEGATIVE 5 for a review but y’all don’t allow that, long story short the app works really well for a few months, pay for the premium and it starts to not connect to your tv, contacted them about wanting to A. Either get it to work or B. Refunding me the money, and they said they couldn’t do anything about it and I’d have to contact apple for a refund, WEIRD I pay for a service through this app and I have to contact somebody else, I’m assuming bescause it’s “not their fault” TERRIBLE APP DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Tv won’t turn on even when connected. It worked great the first day I used it - ever since then it won’t run on my TV even when the app says it is connected to it. I push the power button multiple times and then the app automatically disconnects from my TV, only to reconnect a couple of seconds later so I try again and the TV still won’t turn on. After I press power button a couple more times, app disconnects from TV.

Really does work!. I got this because of all the kids loosing my remotes all the time, and went ahead and bought the whole thing so I'd not have to pay monthly, it really does work as long as you have the right kind of tv for it! I've not had any trouble with it and my kids can't loose this one! 😛

When it works….. When it works, it’s great. Unfortunately it is consistently forgetting/losing the TV. My phone is always on the same network as the TV yet it does not show up in the list. I have to delete and reinstall over and over and it will finally find the tv. Sometimes that lasts the day and sometimes it loses it in a couple of hours. So now I’m just out the $10. Found a different app that seems to remember the tv.

Hate to pay for apps. Even tho this app has in-purchases, the basic app still works really well on my LG TV. Probably eventually will buy another universal remote but this will do in the mean time. The other smart tv apps barely let you use it before it was wanting to buy a year membership…

Roku. I love this so much because it connects to my little brothers TV so I can change all of the stuff he is watching or as some people would put it it connects to any TV with the same internet or with same wifi but the only bad thing is for most of the things you have to buy the premium
