Wasted potential. As a fan of the board game, I know this game is amazing BUT the user interface and experience is horrible! Let me zoom out! Improve the map graphics

A flawed digital version of one of my favorite games.. I love the board game this is based on, and while the interface could use some help, this is an attractive and faithful version of that game. The problem is that it crashes on my iPad and I can only get it to run on my iPhone8 which is just too small to enjoy it. I really hope they fix this in the updates.

Unplayable. One example: Open the app. Start game as Dracula. You are asked to pick starting spot for Dracula. Guess what? You can’t see the whole map. The starting spot of some of the hunters is obscured by controls or pop ups. And...YOU CANT SCROLL OR MOVE THE MAP! Horrible.

Broken on iPad Pro. I’m very familiar with the board game, but this app does not work. When it asks me to make a selection, I can do so, but there is no way to “enter” the selection and force the app to move on. It simply doesn’t work.

Good game bad zoom. In a hidden movement game app it is inexcusable that the us hides parts of the map. If you could scroll around the map that would be fine. Instead you an useless zoom toggle button that gets you way too close to part of the map you aren’t interested in. Fix this and this would be five stars. It is the simplest basic functionality that is ruining your product. Well the ai is bad too but whatever. That would take work to fix. Scrolling shouldn’t.

Faithful to real board game experience. Well designed mechanics replicate same experience of board game easy to use UI. Initially had problems setting up game due to glitch, emailed support and problem was quickly fixed. Thanks

Good, but needs some fixes. The four stars means “this app is good considering it just came out.” Fury of Dracula is a complex enough game that it needs a lot of work to function well in this new format. So far, it’s only part of the way to being great. First, the positives. This app is based on what is probably my favorite board game of all time. (I suppose I’m biased because I like the book Dracula and its 500 movie adaptations.) The game is often suspenseful and exciting, and rewards intelligent/strategic play. Playing as either the hunters or Dracula comes with unique opportunities and challenges. The game has a nice aesthetic, too, and a pretty cool soundtrack on the app. The artwork certainly reminds one of the book and its universe. Now, the bad parts. The AI on this app isn’t good enough yet. Dracula is...okay in his AI form, but the hunters are almost totally incompetent. I’m something like 15-0 against them as Dracula and have never come close to losing. They misplay their cards, they go in the wrong directions, etc. There’s also some teething troubles with the interface (it can be tough to place roadblocks, for example). On the whole, I’m surprised Fury of Dracula plays this well on a smartphone and I’m looking forward to seeing future updates. And maybe someday I’ll play against a human opponent, which will eliminate that pesky AI problem!

Great but Buggy. I love this game and wish the board game would come back. The problem this game has is during combat, Dracula will not select a card after the third round and the game just stops. Please fix this to get the last star.

Slow with steep learning curve. Im new to “app board games” but not physical ones. Just started exploring apps to get in a board game fix with people i know, and this is the 3rd game we tried (first talisman which is easy to learn but a game can go for an hour or more, second small world which takes more strategy, but you can finish a game in under 15 mins) The digital version is my first experience with “fury of drac” and my initial reaction is not stellar. Theres a lot going on with this game and ive always found the best way to learn is playing. That being said, the single player mode is incredibly slow paced and not much to make you feel like youre developing as a player (little reward for the time spent). Ive had to force myself to keep playing as its not very fun right away (vs something like “Talisman” which is easy to pickup and fun to play even solo). Its not that the game is bad, but being new and its slow pacing makes it hard to get immersed. If i knew the rules or was playing with others who did (and had voice chat potential), i can tell id have an entirely different experience. For now, id have to caution new players that this isnt something youre going to immediately pick up and be enjoying in your first hour of play time. Its gonna take some work to learn and your enjoyment will likely be directly correlated to online play or your group of friends.

Great Game with a few flaws. Overall this is a great digital version of a great game. It looks and sounds great. I’m very happy to have access to the game especially now when playing the game in person is not practical. There are a couple of things holding this back from 5 stars: 1. The AI is in a word, terrible. It is pretty much unplayable as once you have any understanding of the game you will walk all over the AI. 2. The map zoom system needs work. Sometimes you cannot see something that you need to click on. Placing and removing roadblock tokens can be a real nightmare.

I enjoy this game. I have fun playing Fury of Dracula. I think it looks great. It does take enough time to learn to make challenging. You should read everything if you are new to the game. Many little details that can improve your game and experience. Wish more live players around, but should pickup. Worth my money for sure.

Crashes on startup every time.... It gets to the progress bar, gets to 55% and crashes. A reboot does not fix this. Please respond with a quick repair plan or provide a refund ASAP!

Needs help. I recently discovered this game, and was so happy to see that there was an app for it, but I am bummed to see how much improvement is needed. There should be way more flexibility with moving the map and zooming in/out. For a game that is very dependent on finding and searching for Dracula, it’s very tricky to navigate the map. Please improve the usability of this game.

Faithful to the board game. I love the board game and I play it at every Halloween. The mobile allows me to enjoy it anytime without having to set up a full fledged game night.

Need better zoom. As stated by other reviews. The lack of zoom makes this game frustrating.

Game crashes on startup. Haven’t been able to make it past the developer logo screen on my iPhone 12 Pro, latest iOS. Sent a report to the developer, but have received only an automated response. Have already deleted the game and reinstalled it to no avail. I will update this rating once I get a response.

Love the game. Hate the interface. There needs to be a way to move and look at all of the board. The zoom out feature still doesn’t show everything. I mean I’m sorry but it clearly doesn’t work. What idiot would release a game in which the overlays on the edges block the map and impede your ability to interact with it. It should have the ability to swipe up down left right on the map whether or not you're zoomed in.Right now you can’t scroll at all. Just zoom out. So if you can’t provide that simple feature, then at least make sure that the edges of the map can be completely seen. I’ll give a better view when these fixes make it into the game. Until that point the game is sadly unplayable

Give us a moveable camera!. The app is a good implementation of the board game, but… what’s with the fixed camera?! There are times when you are literally to look at a city because it’s stuff behind the on-screen information.

Enjoyable, Minor Issues. This is a fun multiplayer game. So far I have not had any issues playing it online with one other person using an iPad Pro. We have been playing against the AI Dracula and it does well enough considering we are beginners to the game. To improve the game the map edges need to be more visible as it is hard to view them if you do not have a character on the space to zoom in. The game statistics do not seem to completely populate, but they are no relevant to the actually game play. I would like to see toggle that shows the city names.

Fury of Dracula. Top board game since 1987. Great adaptation for iPad and the cross-platform support works fantastically. You simply create a room and friends can join from a PC or iPad or any device that can run the game by simply joining your room. Humans play better than the AI currently by D’s are working to improve that. Superb game for up to 5 players.

Accessibility. Really enjoying the game so far, it’s very atmospheric! However, one problem I am having is seeing the roads, as they are very pale and on a dark background. As a red-green colour blind gamer, it’s very difficult for me to see the roads, which is frustrating. Can there please be an option to change the road colour, e.g. to yellow or blue, to enhance their contrast with the background? Thanks, apart from that, it’s an excellent game!

Very disappointed. Random crashes: once during tutorial when trying to cycle through combat cards, two others during a local hunters vs AI Dracula game: immediately after confirming to use Mina's ability, another after confirming to pass a turn without taking any action. All this in about one hour total. Seemingly every time after switching to another app while in a local game it always has to reload from scratch and I have to go through the menus to resume the local game. Parts of the map are obstructed by UI overlays and in one case made it almost impossible to move a character from Lisbon to Cadiz despite changing zoom level. Auto zoom can otherwise make poor choices, often obscuring many legal moves. Again just one hour of play so it's a small sample size but with the crashes I don't think I have the patience to see both the tutorial and even a single game through to completion. Using iPad 6th gen with iOS 14.4.2

Great game. Gameplay itself is amazing if you love the board game. The board game itself is an acquired taste so make sure you know what you’re getting into. There were a few things that weren’t working but they patched it 12 hours after release so I upped my review from 4 to 5 stars.

The game don’t want to load. First time it happen to me. The game don’t want to load at all. Bug fix please.

Unstable!. I love Fury of Dracula. I’ve played every edition since the original, so I was psyched to get the digital version, but it crashes repeatedly. Three or four times in my first game as Dracula Vs AI hunters, and now I’m trying to play all the hunters vs an AI Dracula, I can’t even take a turn. The game loads and then crashes as soon as I hit “move.” Waste of my money.
