Ads are totally misleading, also watch your wallet. I have been debating about whether to review the game, but many of the things I would say have already been covered. Then I saw a new ad for the game that’s really over the top. The celebrity claims to “fact-check” the game’s ads, but he completely avoids the question of whether the ads are representative of game play. They absolutely are not. What’s shown are the Kings Nightmares, which you encounter about every 10 levels or so. They also totally misrepresent the difficulty of those levels, making it seem like the animated finger is just stupid. However, they often have two screens worth of crap to be cleared or don’t give you enough turns to clear it all, with hard-to-break things covering other things that need to be cleared. Several ads show “select your next level”, which if that ever happens, I did not get to at level 175+. I gave it three stars because it could be a good game - it’s very cute and it’s got lots of different types of puzzles, competitions and “home renovation”. However, remember that while they don’t charge for it, and they don’t have ads, they are being supported by it somehow! I believe is by convincing you that you can win, and then cranking things up to the level where you cannot win without purchasing aids.

Scummy algorithms ruin amazing games. Had this game since all the way back when Ryan Reynolds was promoting it. I’ve loved it until about 6 months ago, when I noticed it got markedly harder. Turns out, after some research and seeing some other reviews, that the devs decided to stealthily turn this into a pay-to-win. App itself is free with no ads, but if you win too much without spending money, the boards become literally unwinnable. It’s like the game is actively thwarting your strategy and then “teasing” you once you run out of turns, showing a board that would obviously win in one more turn if you were to use coins. I tried out a theory and I was very alarmed at what I found. I had been stuck on a level and literally tried to beat it 30+ times. I then went and got the lowest pack of JUST COINS, and the next game?… finished the board in under 10 moves. Kept winning with easy boards for about 20 lvls then came to an impasse again. Tried about 10 times. Did it again. Won like crazy again. This algorithm is designed to get you addicted to the game then slowly bleed as much money as possible from players by making you pay to keep going, without blatantly saying that. I actually thoroughly enjoyed this game for years, but I refuse to give greedy devs money when they think they’re being slick. They aren’t.

It’s a money grab for the developers. I’ll agree when you first play this game, it’s awesome! Now that I’ve got into the higher levels, I’ve spent A LOT of money for extra coins to use to get a few more turns to beat levels. You’ll notice it more and more as you increase in levels. Other players have to agree with me that the developers of this game purposely put in levels that are near impossible to beat within 5 tries. At that point you need to rely on extra lives to try and beat the level. If you don’t have a good team to ask for lives, you’re stuck purchasing coins to pass levels you’re stuck on. Sure every game on the App Store is a subscription or pay as you go app. I don’t have a problem with that as people put a lot of work into developing apps and making sure they are up to date. I feel this particular developer prey on the people who are not the best at games like this especially if they are a part of a team that are competing for rewards. At the very least lower the amount of coins it takes to get the extra 5 moves or have special days where you discount it from 900 coins to 500 coins for 5 or plus moves to try and beat the level. I invite the developers to reply to my review here and debate my stance. I won’t hold my breath or waste my time waiting though, I haven’t seen the developers of this game respond to other reviews on here.

Really?. Download homescapes instead of this, 10 minutes in and i deleted it. Why? Oh you will see... First of all you have No plot AT ALL. I was expecting the king to talk and go with the story with the butler. Did that happen? NO! Second of all the tasks are boring. The tasks are like “Sweep up” and “Get this and that” while homescapes speed things up rather them “Dust this and that” Was it exciting to see that happen? NO! Finally, their are to many ADS! No, not this game’s ADS...Your ADS! Every. Single. Time. I play one of my games an ad shows up and its always people saying “Dude you gotta come see this is the best game that i ever and it has no ADS, fun, smooth animations and its good” Really? I think those people are just actors you hired so that you can spread the word to your game. You got me at “Smooth animations”. (Edit) PLEASE stop using so many ads i know you need them for money but with 1 MILLION DOWNLOADS don’t you have enough? And stop false advertising on those minigames! People are going to say the same thing as me if you keep advertising something that is not even in the game. Overall get homescapes if you want another game like this thats actually fun! Not the same as the ads. They always say don’t judge a book by its cover. That’s what I did, and I thought would be a great game because you could enter all of these things and then when I download it oh boy, I don’t even know where to start. It’s fun until it gets boring. You can run out of points really fast especially on the super high level levels like 132 that one’s hard also decorating the rooms are pretty boring didn’t really give me any motivation. But I thought you could like choose when you’re high Kings nightmares or when he was trapped inside like a water cage but you can’t it just chooses when to do it. I like how it doesn’t have ads like a lot of other games but yeah. I would recommend if you like on a car ride but when you’re sitting at home on your board, it’s not really fun there’s not really any motivation behind it or anything to get at Laurel crest are fun but they’re super hard harder than the other one goes that’s what I dislike any you should change this. I just hate how you run out of coins that you can play with really fast and it cost 900 coins to do it again and then 1900 to play it again it is such a annoying thing.

THE FIX IS IN. Just like almost every other game available here the fix is in with this one as well. First of all the advertisements for it whilst playing other games and having to watch endless ads shows levels “saving the king” which only very rarely appear during actual game play. Secondly it’s all about the money. I’m on level 374 and over and over and over and over again I cannot beat the level. It’s not because I don’t know HOW to beat it, it’s just that the game never gives you what you need. For instance if the goal is to collect a certain number of a pink gem it makes sure you get fewer than that number before you run out of moves. Then you have the option to spend coins that are exceeding difficult to earn unless you are gifted with a rare bonus level. NINE HUNDRED COINS to get an additional THREE moves! And you still don’t get what you need, then to get three more moves it’s 1900 coins. But once you give in and spend the coins you’re done, it will only rarely let you win on the first try because now its in their algorithm that you are stupid enough to buy something from them. These developers should be ashamed of themselves because it really is just about robbing people. They figured that out during the pandemic. Do some research to see how much money they raked in while people were quarantined.

Ehhh. I do enjoy this game, but the fact that once you get further into it (level 1721) and it takes 100 stars to upgrade an area is ridiculous. Maybe for the tougher levels, give 2 or 3 stars? I haven’t upgraded areas for months and got up to 420 stars saved. I burned through in 10 minutes to unlock 4 areas and only get 1k total coins(which is the most important part of the game, coins) and I’d love to understand how the developers figure out coins for remaining moves. Many of levels I’ve had 10+ moves left and I only get 50 coins…which is questionable. I have no problem with a game being difficult, but if it’s going to difficult shouldn’t you give the players back a bit more? Two last things, the kings nightmare are very fun, but haven’t seen those challenges in quite some time. Maybe every 25 instead of 50 or 100? Lastly, I know you say all the levels can be beat without powerups, but when you only have 20 moves and the level has to be reshuffled three times in the first five moves doesn’t add up. I’d love to see how you can do that especially on a hard level/level with 4 sections you have to beat. I’d love to hear a response because I do enjoy the game. But people aren’t wrong when they say it’s a pay to play game. It’s either that or wait to play

Good game, needs a couple of tweaks. I enjoy this game, but find some levels to be exasperating, and some are simply a matter of playing the level until the right powerups form; there’s no way to win them without sheer luck. A couple of things that would be useful: a final stats display of f what was left when asking if you want to play on or try the level over if you didn’t catch what goals are left before your final move, it’s difficult to make an informed decision whether the 5, 15, 30 moves they’re offering are worth the effort. Also, it’s easy to mis-swipe, so a rollback-last-move option would be helpful (Water Sort does this well, where you have 5 free rollbacks and Then watch an ad if you want 5 more). Also, if the cube drop could be adjusted to favor more powerup-generating drops on levels designated “super hard,” That would be useful. The “super hard” levels are basically—make that literally—impossible to win without the right powerups. It’s a good game overall, and strikes a decent balance with ads versus gameplay. I recommend it, even without the suggestions I have for it.

READ THIS. Ok, the 1st reason why I downloaded this game was because the graphics, they seemed movie-worthy! But I was disappointed to see the crappy animation that this game actually is, 2nd of all, the plot, I thought this would be a cool game, like saving the king from plunging into acid, and to help him build a path to escape a monstrous snake, but I was also SO disappointed to see this was just another knock-off candy crush with occasional “king’s nightmares”, where you have to kind of save the king, but it’s NOTHING like the ads. Then the groups, anyone can join any group, and for all you know, a little kid can join a group of sketchy people, one time, I accidentally joined a group of other people talking about rather inappropriate stuff, the app editors should THINK ABOUT THIS, there should be age requirements to join specific groups, then the profile pictures, I hate that you have only an ugly duck, a fat pig and a weird polar bear as your only options if you don’t have facebook! Another thing I don’t like is that if you run out of lives, you can’t play unless you play or you ask your teammates, who most likely will ignore you. Otherwise, this is a pretty good app for being free, no ads, and not needing internet. But if the game was to be what is shown in the ads, I would gladly play it.

Algorithm is designed for you to spend money. Over the past year I noticed the game is intended to cause you to lose in order to spend money. For instance if you watch the patterns the game will cause you to fail so much that you have no option but to use coins until you can't play anymore. It used to be if you failed a level you could play it until you passed. Now, after you fail the game they immediately do +5 ... up to +30 after EVERY game. It's no longer fun. Most boards are no-win or all-win boards. It's one thing if the game was genuinely created to operate on strategy but if the game senses you could win they intentionally change the board to make it unsolvable. Sometimes the game gives you a 100% winnable board, no matter how much you try to fail it gives you boosters in the right places to win. I wish the developers would go back to the initially honest algorithm. It's one thing to make money but to make it so miserable to play and intentionally make it unenjoyable. Absolutely do not put any money in the app because the game isn't about strategy like it used to be. It doesn't matter how many boosters you have the game is pre-determined to whether you will win or not. The pattern of playable boards vs unplayable boards is so repetitive that it's so obvious!!

No ads = must pay. They have to make money, that’s expected. However, without ads….. that money comes from you! If you want to continue to play, eventually you’ll HAVE to spend money. Even if you can get all the free-play you can handle, you’ll never advance or win. They sabotage you to lose. It’s extremely frustrating. Moves or combinations that would benefit you, coincidentally no longer work. Moves that were able to destroy an object, conveniently are no longer able to do so. When you slide an object, it may go the opposite direction than you intend. It’s frustrating and presumably, people give in and make a purchase. It’s manipulation on their part. It’s really unfortunate because it’s a fun game. That’s completely lacking any kind of integrity whatsoever. Play fair and have ads to garner money if that’s what it takes. But don’t make it impossible to win and heavily advertise no ads, just to cheat the person after they’re immersed in the game. I imagine, the farther you get into the game, the more likely you’re expected to pay if you want to keep going. It’s a loose-loose for the player if they continue. I know they have to make money, as they should!! But I don’t think cheating the consumer is the way to do it. It makes money……. but It’s certainly not ethical. Shameful really!

3-5 stars. the game is frustrating there is a couple of levels i cant even get through without 3 hearts or boosters. Depending on ur level thats how hard it is, i currently haven’t played in months over a i just started playing again and i’m still struggling. the game is not to bad its just i don’t really like it (thats an opinion btw) and some people are good and some are bad like me, When I first got the game I was very happy until a level i couldn’t pass. i got really mad, disappointed, and sad over a level. Im looking forward to get better at this game but sometimes the levels are challenging to the point where it takes 2-5 hearts/lives, And thats really annoying i have to keep using boosters for little levels that u can pass really easily and I don’t wanna keep doing that. So please when new people join can u give 5 free boosters because some levels are difficult to the point where u just give up and want to restart the whole game. Thats also not an option, All of your progress saves and i thought it didn’t because when u delete a app it says “all your data will be removed” i’ve never left a bad review on anything but i’m really annoyed and disappointed.

Great game, but I’m quitting…. My adventures in Royal match! You will be treated like royalty! No?Why? Read on for my ONE BIG REASON TO QUIT BEFORE YOU START. I’d rather watch five 60 second adds than wait 20 minutes to play again after every lost round. I downloaded this, lost after ten minutes or so, first it told me to come back in a few minutes, so I waited, played, then waited and waited…….still waiting…….oh yeah okay, I’ll just put this in the background three or four screens over, one month later, I stumble on the game, play ten minutes, admire the graphics, Oooooops! Time’s up! Come back….ONE MONTH LATER…..Play 15 minutes. Ooooops, life got in the way….LEAVE TO PLAY A FUN GAME THAT IS INDEED WORKING! Royal is on the back burner AGAIN, THREE WEEKS LATER…..play ten minutes…..now it’s getting deleted for lack of use….I’m laughing my way to the bank, look at all I’ve saved not playing this! You gotta love it! I’m one who pays to play, but you lost my income, because of this huge game play flaw. Great graphics, great playing, all around fun. But you LOSE me. No play. No pay. Simple fact. I think I owe you an explanation. I simply will move on to something that is actually playable. I love watching adds if the reward is a great game as a afterward. But I don’t have the time or the patience to wait upwards of half an hour every ten minutes for a game, ANY game, no matter how fun it is. Such a shame. Great game…..not worth waiting for. Or paying for.

actually a fun game. I downloaded royal match as a joke because I thought it looked stupid, but it’s been weeks and I still have it and play it pretty much every day💀 Literally now seeing the king and/or the butler actually makes me happy, and for what? when did that happen?? This is such a mom-game too, so that was an even bigger reason for why I downloaded as a joke, yet here I am😭 But yeah, 10/10, it’s satisfying and enjoyable, no adds, you only have to wait like 20 minutes or so for lives to refill BUT IF YOU JOIN THOSE LIKE TEAM THINGS YOU CAN ASK FOR LIVES, BUT IF YOU HELP SOMEONE GET A LIFE, IT DOESNT COST YOU ONE OF YOURS, i think that’s dope. Anyway, yeah, the only times that “no ads” become an issue for me is when I’m really stuck on a level (ahem, level 29 ((was literally stuck for days🪦💔))) and don’t have enough coins to play on to be able to complete the level, but since there are no ads, I can’t just watch some ads to get more coins. But all in all, I actually love the game and have been recommending it to people because it is just really easy so you don’t have to use TOO much brain power yk? AHH IT’S ACTUALLY REALLY NICE OK. IT STARTS OUT KINDA SLOW BUT THE FARTHER ALONG YOU GET, THE MORE REWARDS YOU RECIEVE AND THAT IS ALSO SUPERRR SATISFYING

Not what you signed up for. I started playing based on an ad during another game. The actual game is nothing like what was in the ad. You’re not actually saving a king. I’m on level 828 and I can count on one hand how many levels there were to “save” the king. Very disappointing. The game isn’t terrible and has a nice concept. I appreciate varying levels of difficulty. The power ups and coins are terrible for the amount you need to play to get them. It takes 900 coins to buy a power up and/or new lives but you’d have to play almost 4 levels to get that many coins saved up. Also once you buy one power up, a second one in same game will cost you 1900. I did buy the Royal pass, waste of money and won’t be buying it anymore. It’s not worth the rewards you get and each day of pass you need to pass the equivalent number of levels to move on. For instance day 3 is 3 levels but to get to 25 you need to finish the first 24 days plus an additional 25 levels. I paid for this, it shouldn’t be that hard. The power up rewards isn’t worth it either. 2 bombs for 22 levels is ridiculous. Also the life regeneration takes wayyy too long. 30 minutes to wait for a new life is ridiculous. Make this game better…I’m one competition from removing it completely to play other games that offer more and are more true to what they represented in the ads.

ROYAL SCAM!!. It only gives you a certain amount of coins when you win a round. That is WHEN the game lets you win a round! It’s not often the game does let you win a round. You can be stuck on 1 round playing it over and over for days and the game still will NOT let you win!! You HAVE to spend money to buy coins to add moves so you can win the round and then go to the next round. You get so many free coins but not enough to get anywhere in the game. The ads say it’s free but the only thing free about this game is downloading it. Everything else you have to buy and you will have NO CHOICE but to buy coins because the game is a ROYAL SCAM!! You can be on a team and it won’t mean anything because there are so many inactive players on so many teams because many of them got tired if the SCAMMING game so they quit playing it!! When they quit playing, the team leader don’t always kick them off the team so it makes it much harder for that team to win anything. It’s hard to find a good team because the teams with all active players are full!! You have to spend coins to create a new team. As I said THIS GAME IS A SCAM!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO PLAY!! IT WILL MAKE YOU LOSE AND BE STUCK ON A ROUND AND THEN MAKE YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THE GAME TO GET OAST THAT LEVEL!! YOU WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH HAVING TO SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME!! IT’S DEFINITELY NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY TRYING TO PLAY THIS SCAMMING GAME!!

Super fun game. I love this game and I’ve been playing it for a while now. I’m on level 6601 or something like that. Some things I’ve noticed are that all the ads I see for the game are not what it is. I mean you rescue the king half way through each update, but it’s not like the ads show. You don’t get to pick levels to rescue the king. I think I’ve mostly saved him from a dragon or getting hit by a train. None the less the game is addictive and can be very frustrating at times. I agree with another review that you can spend days on a supposed normal level and then sometimes get through a hard or super hard level faster. Not always though. It has definitely gotten harder the farther I’ve gotten through the game. I love the super light ball, that’s very helpful. I hate that I can get it and lose it before I even get a chance to really use it. I wish that when you win 30 minutes of game play that you could save it for another time if you want. I know that in some cases you can save it or not open it until ready but when you play the game you will know what I mean. This game is addictive and fun.

Great, but a few small complaints. I’ve had Royal Match for a while and I love it. It’s fun for car rides or if you just have a boring minute to pass. It’s definitely not exactly like the ads but I mean it’s probably better than the ads anyway so I’ll let that slide. I do have a few complaints though. Sometimes I’ll sit down for just a minute or two of play time, and then I’ll get a reward for, say, 30 minutes of free hearts, and then I’m annoyed because I don’t want to waste that reward but I don’t want to play for that long. For example, in the Book of Treasure thing and in, like, the Hidden Temple event, if you get a prize you don’t have to option to save it for later. I think it would be great if you at least made it so we can collect the rewards when we want to instead of shoving them in our faces, forcing us to play more or basically waste the reward. I would love this game so much more if you implemented that into the game and I’d give it 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for now though. Again, great game, true to its word about no ads, definitely a good game for an idle minute or car ride.

Fun, but…. This game is so fun and addicting. I play a few times a day and love the gameplay. My bf and I both play and so we like to compete against each other and try to beat one another in the side missions. That being said, it’s not consistent when it comes to the Kings Nightmares and Bonus Levels. I’m on level 761 and I get a Nightmare once or twice a week, but have never received a Bonus Level. My bf on the other had, occasionally gets a Nightmare and will get a couple Bonus Levels per day. I’m in the fan group on fb, and this seems to be an issue that everyone has. The inconsistency is unfair to players. I messaged support and they basically blew me off by saying they try to make a unique experience for all players. I tried to explain that unique is good, but it’s unfair when it’s that far off with every player. Especially when a Nightmare only gives you 50coins and the Bonus Levels give 500+. It seems silly and ridiculous to complain about, but it is annoying to see how inconsistent the bonus levels are for each player. There are others that claim there are other types of bonus levels that neither me or my bf have ever seen. I wish the support team was more “supportive” and willing to fix the issues, and less unbothered.

Still a fun game. I enjoy playing the game and have gotten to advanced levels. There are not many bonus levels or Kings nightmare levels. Only maybe twice a week and I play daily. The higher levels are extremely difficult and will take many tries on each level to pass. This is where the game makes a ton of money. You get frustrated and end up paying for coins. The coins will be gone very fast though. I would advise not spending the money unless they have a really GOOD flash sale. They have a lot of so called flash sales but the rate is still high. You can join a high scoring team but the problem is the same. Everyone will hit a threshold and not be able to pass levels at a certain point. You all can still win the levels on your own but it takes a long time and that’s how the game makes so much money. I understand the payout must be huge in terms of what players might spend. Maybe the developers could compromise for those who don’t want to spend? Watching ads for coins? There is no way to get extra coins except by beating levels (which is hard to do without extra coins) or if your teammates happen to buy certain bundles you get a small coin bonus. Something to consider.

The ads lie. The ads lie about everything. In the ads we can see King Robert getting himself into trouble all the time and needing us to rescue him. But in the actual game he is in no danger and the game is boring. The ads also say the game is addicting, but I get tired of it after like five minutes of playing. the ads say the game has great graphics, but the graphics are really not that great. They’re ok. If you really want a fun, addicting matching game, you should play project makeover. Project makeover has amazing graphics and has no ads (unless you watch an ad to get a free thing). Also, once you reach level 45, you can connect with your friends and join a clique a.k.a. a group. After playing a while, you will have your own character to dress up, your own room to decorate, and your own pet, too! Project makeover is actually addicting. All you have to do is reach level 45. Before that you’re just figuring out how the game works and learning with all the buttons do. I guarantee if you download project makeover, you won’t regret it! It doesn’t do you any harm so you might as well try it. I’m not being paid to say these things, and I don’t work for project makeover. I just really like the game and love to connect with my friends on there. royal match doesn’t let you connect with anyone on there. Project makeover is just better in my opinion. Good game but will costs a lot to play.. This is a fun game, and there is no ads. The problem is that at times levels are unwinnable, or at the very least unnecessarily hard. I believe it’s like this so you will spend money playing. For example, it’s common to get stuck on a level and you’ll never get the power ups you need to pass it. Then, as soon as you buy coins, you pass the level quickly because all of a sudden the power ups are coming available. These aren’t things you buy either, they come naturally (supposedly) in the game. I have enjoyed this game and have willingly spent more money on it than I ever have spent on a game before. That being said….its the constant cost to keep advancing which is making me play it less and less. I’m fairly certain a week or two from now I won’t be playing at all. Of course games should have challenges to them. But the way this is set it up, it’s like it’s designed to keep you paying to play. Just my opinion. So all in all, it’s fun, it’s ad free, but be prepared to drop money on a fairly regular basis, or else you won’t get far in the game.

UPDATE: no interest in game anymore. This game was good at first but the higher you go the more I’m seeing the same crap that made me lose interest in Candy Crush. Power ups aren’t created when they should be, funny business with what SHOULD happen when you make a move (moves opposite direction). Never happened in lower levels. But they count on you thinking oh I must have done something wrong. Ok so after enjoying playing for a long time I may have to quit because the billing is often wrong. I request the 1.99 stuff twice and it shows up billed as 2.99. NOT COOL!!!! I am in the mid 3500 level but will have to delete game because of this. SO DISAPPOINTED !!! I have noticed that the game does NOT create the expected power ups when it should. Mostly with the ones created with 5 in a row but also the rockets. What’s up with this? I am currently on level 1071 A game that is fun and not frustrating! At first it seemed like it was going to be too easy but it has been getting more challenging. Good graphics and not slow. And enough extras to keep it interesting. And NO ADS! Thank you! BTW, what level do I have to get to before I get my castle with areas completed built for real? :-)

Saving progress and switching devices horrible. Too easy to lose your account when switching to another device. If you’re using IOS, and want to keep your account you need to make sure that you use both the sign in credentials you used before and you need to make sure you use the same Apple ID to access the same iCloud which you must have enabled and backing up. You also need to make sure you are always signed in with your credentials each and every time you play. The reason why? Because the software manager of the development team allowed the save progress button to also be used as a login button at the same time. It’s amazing how so against the norm this is. When you install on a new device, make sure to first start up your game on your old device. Then on your old device, make sure you are logged in. Then switch to your new device and start the game. It’ll force you to do the tutorial upon start up. Exit the tutorial and then go to settings and click on the save progress button and then sign into your account. You should then see your account hopefully with your previous levels saved and then you can say goodbye to your old device. I was level 3000+ . Well it’s my time to say goodbye to this game. Hopefully this helps one of you out there.

Pretty Good But Nothing Like Vids. This game is a slight variation of C Crush. The nightmares (what the ads about this game show) are levels that pop up VERY rarely and are never like the videos they show in these ads or screenshots. I’m in the 2,000 levels and have had the “kitchen on fire” nightmare almost every time. There was two other times it was a different nightmare, but nothing like they appear in their gameplay videos. And I’ve noticed level rankings are way off, or they’re fixed to prevent a player from doing too well. I unlock bonuses and start going on runs and hit a regular level (not a varying level of hard) and the easy level will be almost impossible, losing the bonuses that I had unlocked (as they disappear after the 1st level fail). Then retries of the easy level fail over and over, as if to force people to spend money to advance using gems. I’ve gone days before finally passing the level playing for free. And it’s a pattern of this happening, so no way it’s coincidence. If you have patience to advance about 5 to 10 levels a day and then be stuck on a level for days, no matter how hard or easy it is, with intentions to play for free, and not expect anything like the cool videos of gameplay they show you, then you might be okay with playing this game to kill free time or whatever.

Get your wallet out. I have been playing Royal Match for a few weeks now. I don’t play daily because I get very frustrated with the gameplay. Graphics and sound are too notch, however the game is basically rigged. The number of moves you have are limited and differ at every puzzle. If you choose a “booster” that you have saved the game does not allow you to choose when your booster is used. It gives you the booster at the very start of the level. The problem is that many times you are forced to activate your booster right away because using the booster is the only move you can make. You just wasted the booster. It did not improve your situation at all. Then as you run out of moves the game will give you 5 moves but it’ll cost you 900 coins. If you happen to need an additional move beyond the 5 given it will cost 1900 coins. It’s rigged to force you to spend money buying extra coins and lives. I understand every developer deserves to make money but the constant pressure to purchase lives or coins makes the game frustrating to play. As a previous reviewer stated, you can lose 20 attempts in a row, then decide you’ll spend a few bucks for more lives, only to find you’ve miraculously completed the level with a super simple move. Do you want to succeed ? If so you’d better get out some cash because you’re going to need it.

Over all pretty good. Over all Royal Match is very fun. I love playing it and I do recommend it if you like candy crush. Candy Crush was one of my favorites but now Royal Match has taken over me liking Candy Crush, but there are things I wish Royal Match would have. 1. Change your profile name more than once. So I change my profile name and didn’t realize that you could do it once I was mad when I found but part of it was my fault for not reading it but I would like this to change please. 2. Royal match is very fun and teaches you strategies and techniques in your future life if you are younger. If you are an adult playing a little Royal Match will help you take your mind of your job and can reduce some stress too. 3. I wish you could give coins, power ups, and other stuff to other people but that’s okay. 4. If you are bored and have nothing else to do I recommend this game. Royal Match is good for road trips, when your bored, something fun to do and al kinds of other stuff. Other than the fact that you can’t change your name again (which I would be very happy if it got fixed) I think Royal Match is a five star game even if you don’t like games I still recommend it!

Fun at first. So it’s true there’s no Ads! It’s one of those games where you match gems like candy crush or bejeweled. And I had so much fun at first playing this. It’s actually pretty fun but I just deleted it. Why? Because the game will screw you over so that you can’t win levels. Sometimes it’s like raining down combos and power ups but then that stops happening. Then it becomes obvious that the game will decide if you’re gonna win or not. What I mean is the way gems will come down won’t line up for power ups any more. And they won’t line up in a way that’s advantageous to you. You’ll get three blue gems in a row but it’s off to the side and not in a spot that’s good for you. The levels become such that you simply don’t have enough moves to complete no matter what you do. So you have to buy coins so that you can get another 5 moves. Yes it’s hidden but it’s a pay to win game. But you don’t notice it at first, they get you hooked by making it easy for a little bit. Then it gets impossible to win. It’s sad because it was really fun for the first 50 or so levels. But it’s gets so ridiculous that it’s honestly not worth your time. You spend the rest of your time wishing it’s was as fun as when you started, but it never will be again. It’s like a drug. Don’t even start the game in my opinion

It ain’t what it looked like, and that upsetting.. I really thought this was just so boring and it didn’t even say what it says in the ads. I started in like idk January. And so I wanted to play those “save the king” games. But it doesn’t even have that. It’s basically just that game where you swipe these icons thingies. I’m pretty sure it’s like the game sugar rush or something. I’m telling you, if you wanna play that one game even though you can literally get the other ones that are obviously better, sure you get this app. But if you wanna play the actual game like it said in the ads, then don’t even try installing. It may just be me, but either way, the game that you can actually play is still extremely boring. No entertainment at all. It doesn’t get harder or anything like that. I literally look like a serous scientist, that’s literally how bored I look. Completely forgot about the ads. That’s literally the one problem I see in all the other reviews. I’m literally not joking, the first ad I saw almost made me throw up. I know it when it says choose your age and all, and I obviously choose the option saying 15 & younger. But as soon as I press that the ads are just disgusting. 🤮 It had things I never wanna see, not only me but literally everyone else. Those are my recommendation(and argument).😒

Way too easy, average mobile ads. I know you guys are getting bloated with ads on this game recently, and while some of the things they show and say in the ads are true, it’s not 100% accurate. believe it or not there aren’t any ads, usually when mobile ads say this it’s lying. The game is in fact a matching game as well, on the false side though, this game has NOTHING to do with saving the king from fire or drowning and what not, almost EVERY mobile ad has this concept of being stressed out trying to save the king and what not, and it’s a really interesting concept, but no mobile games actually stand true to it. And I really don’t know why, are liquids just too hard to program? If half the people download your game because of this stressful concept, why not just make it the actual game? Also I don’t how this game makes revenue if it doesn’t have ads, maybe I didn’t poke around the game long enough to notice any in app purchases but whatever. Another thing that they said in the ads that wasn’t true was how hard it was, no it is not hard at all, the special match things are way too broken and easy to get. Overall I feel like mobile games now a days have 0 creativity and no unique ideas, and they are all the same, royal match isn’t a “unique” “difficult” or “stressful” experience, it’s your average matching game, would not recommend!

Luv. I really enjoy this game , but I just believe 900 coins is to much you buy coins it doesn’t last long because you spend so many, also y ya ou get a lot of arrows but not the other power ups you always get just one it so hard to get but you constantly spending money to keep coins that are very high and hardly no power ups don’t get me wrong the game is a lot of fun , and it’s free it’s just so expensive! You all also have the lighting ball but you have beat so many levels to get once u get it , u play the game u lose ! And have to start all over that’s wrong , I feel if you beat the levels to get a lighting ball you should start my game with one if I win I win if I lose I lose, don’t start the puzzle with out one , cause you work very hard to beat these levels to get one so unfair , I really enjoy the game but coins are high I constantly need to buy more it is so expensive!!!!! Amazing and addictive! One suggestion…. I instantly became addicted to this game the second I started playing. The levels are fun and building the rooms gives it a point so your not just playing levels to play them. I’ve played other puzzle matching games like this in the past and some levels have been extremely difficult, causing me to quit trying. This game has hard levels but not so hard that I would quit the game. The bonus levels where you collect the coins are fun to and appear quite often. The one thing I would suggest is that the kings nightmare levels appear more often because when I first downloaded, I was so happy to see the nightmare level like shown in the ads. After the level, I was constantly waiting for the next one to appear but it was until around level 45 maybe that I saw the next one. I wish there was more because those are my absolute favorite levels of the game and I’m sad to say that I have only played a few of them out of the whole time I’ve had this game. I hope to see more of these in the game soon. Other than that, I completely love this game and would definitely recommend downloading this!!! 😃😃❤️❤️

Typical match-three type game. Update: I still play to kill some time. However I woke up to a $6 charge from this game that supposedly happened at 4am while I was sleeping. No I don’t have kids. Watch for fraudulent charges from the game !!! It’s just a typical match-three type game as the main focus. There are cool tiles and power-ups you can use — when you get them. It does do a few things nicer than other similar games in the way of the occasional mini game or special weekday and weekend things to get you bonus coins or powerups, etc. I’ve been playing for several months and have unfortunately purchased a few of the cheap packs in that time… mostly out of sheer frustration. Once you reach a certain level, it becomes less and less fun and more of a chore and an exercise in frustration…… unless you want to spend gobs of coin to get beyond a level. And the “regular” levels vs. “hard” and “super hard” levels means nothing after a few hundred levels. It’s fun for the first little while, and then it’s a time sink for when you’re waiting around and have nothing better to do. Now once I *finally* beat a level, the next level is just as frustrating. There’s no chance of beating 99% of higher levels in one try now, and I refuse to spend another penny on this game.

Hmmm something doesn’t seem right. Level 5390 and this has happened on many occasions throughout my time playing. It’s probably time to take another break from this game. I used a double bomb to explode the vine. It exploded right next to the vine, that only had the base of the vine left. I had already extended the game once for 900 just so that I wouldn’t lose my super ball and to move onto the next level. when it exploded the end of the vine it didn’t explode the vine or disappear. I had to purchase more lives at 1900 for 5 helicopters just to explode the darn thing. This makes me furious because for one thing, why is the first time we extend for 5 more moves @ 900 then for 5 more it goes up to 1900 instead of 1800 for 5 more moves. What is odd is at the end of the game when we have any helicopters, bombs or anything left we get a measly few coins. We should be getting the same amount you want us to purchase it for. This is crazy. I really enjoyed playing this game and as much time and money I have spent I should get a discount, especially when the game doesn’t do what it is supposed to do. I stopped playing the game for awhile last time because it was doing this very thing. I don’t know if it’s a glitch or what but I’m not too happy about it especially since I’m competitive and spend good money on this game and then for it to act up.

It’s only fun for so long. So fun and addicting to the start and constantly feels awarding. The further you get into it though, the more you’ll learn that the only means of passing a level is predetermined at the beginning of the match by what’s available to you and what falls onto the board going forward. Most of your “super hard” marked levels are pretty easy and can be gotten through after a few tries. Same with the “hard” levels. However the standard levels for some reason are set up so the odds are against you and if you don’t make the right move at the beginning you will fail the level and lose the Super Light Ball powerup you just unlocked. If I could change anything about this is for the game to allow us when to use certain things like unlimited hearts, or the super light ball instead of just making you use it right away. The super light ball is something I would pay a small sum to have in every game with me and stand a chance at progressing in these later levels without the fear of losing them right away. It would increase the longevity of the game and my willingness to commit to it at a time. Instead you’ll spend upwards of 20 hearts just trying to get past 1 level that’s not even marked as “hard”.

Watch out!. If you haven’t downloaded, don’t. There is a lot of psychology that goes into this game…limited time offers, sales, timed contests and mini games to earn prizes, teams you join and can help with free lives which builds a “team player” mindset, bright colors and engaging graphics, and on and on in order to manipulate a brain into becoming “addicted”. When I started playing, I recognized right away the game psychology embedded in its design, I should have deleted right away, but then I got hooked. I would never waste money gambling, yet here I am wasting money to play a silly game to buy the “Royal Passes”. What is wrong with me!?! Well, now they have upped the cost of game coins to 1900 in order to get 10 extra moves. It used to be 900 for 5 moves. The problem? You need to pass levels to earn coins. You can’t pass levels when you get stuck on a level because you don’t have enough game coins. You can’t get game coins because you are stuck on a level. And on and on it goes. Well, either people are going to pay real money for coins or they are going to finally get so irritated they will quit playing. I’m guessing the latter will happen. I quit playing Candy Crush years ago out of frustration at the game. I’m heading in that direction now with Royal Match. That’s one way to break game addiction!

Watch out - This game punishes you if you don’t pay money!. If you don’t use power ups or coins to complete the level the game punishes you by giving you crappy things for the next 10 lives that you use even though the level is not a hard level. And, many of the regular levels that do not specifically say it’s a hard level end up being impossible to finish until it finally starts giving you something you can play with. So, if I choose not to waste my 900 coins on a level that shouldn’t be too hard to complete I can’t make any matches but threes in order to get power ups to complete the level. Seriously, they must’ve added an algorithm that keeps you from getting anything you need to pass the level if you don’t pay any money or use all your coins. This game is just a time waster. I like the teams and challenges sometimes, but the game really makes me mad because you have to continue the level even if you know it’s a lost cause. I wish I could quit the level early and restart it when I know it’s a lost cause. Also, the game is rigged to try to make you spend cash or all your coins! I don’t like that! I like the game but I don’t like that it’s rigged!

False advertising, Candy Crush knockoff.. Alright, with quite a bit of gaming experience, I know whether a game is good or not. This game is definitely on the lower part of the spectrum. For the false advertising, let’s start with the this that they got right. First, the game is something where you swipe little blocks and match them up. Another correct thing they got right was the no ads thing. There are in fact no advertisements. However, the ads show the king in life-threatening situations like being in a room with acid, being in a room with lava flowing in, or freezing to death. In the game, this never happens. I wanted to see the king in danger to give me some sort of motivation to go faster. But like I said, the king is never shown to be in any life-threatening situations. Finally, for the Candy Crush knock-off part, it’s pretty self explanatory. For one, the premise is to swipe blocks into a shape, making them disappear. That’s literally candy crush. Second, the blocks are the same thing compared to candy crush being that they need to be all broken in order to complete the level. Finally, even the power up’s are copies. For example, the sphere with colored sprinkles/ lights around it is one of the them. I don’t have the energy to write a fitting conclusion to this, but use this knowledge to not get this game.

Very Misleading. I added this because I kept getting AD’s for it while playing another game. It looked fun trying to save the king and the colors were bright and fun. Sadly, I’ve played 22 rounds in a few days and it’s just been earning stars to decorate different areas in a castle. The colors and themes are fun, but it gets boring real quick and I’ve had only 2 rounds of saving the king from a “nightmare”. This is not what was advertised and the challenge in each game is practically the same each time. Plus if you don’t pass a round, it requires 900 gold coins to continue and you only get 5 more moves to try win a round. Thats a lot of coin to keep playing a failed level! I just failed the level and tried again w/o giving up coin, 900 coins is a lot when you don’t earn that many coins each round. After one round I failed couple times, it timed me out for 12 hours or I had to pay actual $$ to keep going. I won’t pay to play this game but I would if it was actually the advertised version. I liked the concept of saving the king as it looked like it required strategy, but this is just another Candy Crush with different tools to break blocks. I’m going to delete this but if it changes to actually be what was advertised with challenges to save the king, I’ll re-download it.

Debating. Like many others I decided to try this game based on the save the king screens they use as a come on. Like many others, I have seen a save the king screen rarely. The obstacles are difficult to clear and frequently I need one or two moves, at most, to clear the screen, but find that 900 coins is simply too hard to come by so I start the screen over. I don’t mind a challenge, but this is actually more stressful than challenging. Yes, the sense of accomplishment when you FINALLY clear a screen is nice, but it comes so infrequently that I’m not sure it’s worth the effort. I am considering removing the game and hunting for a game that isn’t set up to require purchasing anything to move ahead, or at least rewards more coins for a win or requires fewer coins for additional moves. I appreciate the lack of ads and understand that they have to get money some way, but by making it so obviously designed to cost the player, it becomes a bit one way, and that way is against the player. I don’t play games to challenge myself, I play games to unwind from the challenges of daily life. Why would I continue to play any game that causes more frustration, more stress?

Thank You Developers!. Once upon a time I really liked Bejewled. It was vibrant, quick moving, and a great way to take out frustrations. This is not why I downloaded Royal Match, but once I did I realized it was Bejeweled cubed. So, I love this game, though I do agree with some other reviewers that the regular levels versus the hard levels and super hard levels is strange; some times it takes me days to pass a regular level and only one try to pass a super hard or hard level. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now, if I had reviewed this before now I would have removed a star for the reason I downloaded this game, and that is the mini games called King’s Nightmare. Boy was I disappointed when I payed one for the first time. Booorrring!!! Not only that, but you get coins, and not many, for playing and nothing else. They were not as advertised, and at first I felt a bit cheated, but I do so enjoy Royal Match, so I learned to live with the lie. Today, however, I reached a King’s Nightmare and I so loved it! It was the reason I downloaded this game. It was there, in front of me, finally! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the developers for making this change. I love it! More please! And more often! I could play them all day. 😁

Its a good game but. The game Royal match is pretty good but they’re saying like you get to play like fun puzzles and stuff and it’s really similar to homescapes or something like that and the only reason I downloaded this app is because it was bragging about no adds and really good quality and really fun like puzzles you can play, and I was like tired of adds then so I thought it would be nice to play a fun game that has no adds and stuff. And when I download it was expecting that you would start on like level one but instead I was come to my surprise any other game you mom or dad or grandma or grandpa would play then you would add to the castle and then when you done it would say “ Royal Match “ so the game is alright I'm not trying to be rude or anything but the game is kind of lying to you about the puzzles game I and I have never stumbled across a puzzle game and at first I was like just playing hoping a puzzle game would show up every once and a while and you would like have to watch an add for it (like any other game) but no you go on and on and on and on and on and on and on to each other game mode idk if its just me that’s not getting the games but I haven’t stumbled across any puzzles YET

Complainers. So many reviews here are just people blaming either their lack of skill or their lack of patience. I have not spent a penny and continue to advance. Yes some levels may take a day or two worth of heart refreshes but there are absolutely strategies u can apply on each level to eventually (with some luck of the draw) beat. My two complaints are the lack of kings nightmare (like advertised) the concept of the advertised king in peril levels is really cool but basically non existent in game. My second complaint is the room building via star program. It’s fully pointless. Short of offering u some items upon room completion there is zero point to decorating the room. Give me a choice to pick color/pattern/item style or any other change that would make my room different from another. Instead every single person that plays this has the exact same room. What is the point. I basically just save stars and quickly click to complete a room. It offers nothing to the game. However this is a fun and relatively challenging puzzle game. Good for break time or just a few minutes here and there.

Your ads backfired. I used to like this game and played it a lot. But the ads for this game that pop up in OTHER games are so annoying they made me dislike this game. Let me repeat: The advertisements had the opposite of their intended effect. They made me stop playing this game. That is seriously the only reason I stopped playing this game. The game itself is fine. However, I feel disgust at the thought of this game now. All because of how annoying its advertising is. Not the fact that the ads interrupt other games; pop up ads are a fact of life. It’s the content of the ads, and the fact that they have to be closed at least four times to get them to go away, but not before they exit you out of whatever game you’re playing and take you to the App Store. That’s just unnecessary. It’s a toss-up as to what’s most annoying, but possibly the D- list actors that act like I should know who they are and care about what they think are at the top of the list. I actually feel sorry for them. I have second hand embarrassment for them. Unfortunately deleting this game from my phone won’t get rid of the ads for it, so on the very slim chance that someone involved in the advertising for this game sees this review: your advertising is actively driving people AWAY from this game. Please come up with a different advertising strategy.

Not like the ads show. It's a pretty standard match 3 game like many others. Has some fun and interesting gameplay mechanics and so more frustrating ones that quickly get left behind after their section is over (thank goodness). Many of the more difficult levels are dependent on having powerups. The game is fairly generous with powerups and if you join a good team you shouldn't be lacking in them. However if you do run out you will be stuck on certain missions for ages. They make them just possible enough that they can be beaten without spending money but you have to get insanely lucky with the RNG. If you're willing to whip out your wallet then you're in luck! No matter how little or how much money you spend the game will reward you by making the levels trivially easy for a short time period. I was stuck on a "very hard" level for ages, attempting it at least 100 times with and without powerups, I purchased 1 USD worth of coins and my next attempt I beat it with more than half of my attempts left. For about an hour after that the game pretty much played itself, dropping combos in a cascade never seen before purchasing those coins. I would beat levels in 3 turns out of 30! Exact same scenario happened the next time I was stuck on a level and purchased 1 USD worth of coins. So if you're ever stuck just remember to whip out the old wallet and you'll be rewarded with free wins.

I Feel Guilty When King Robert Dies. I mostly play Black Desert Mobile and Star Trek Timelines but I also like this game. Been playing only a couple weeks. The graphics are pleasing and gameplay is fun. But I hate that you are limited on moves and you can’t clear the board. And you can’t play long before you run out of lives. I have yet to get to saving King Robert. Which brings me to why I’m mentioning Star Trek. I’m often watching ads in it for freebies and the ads I see most are for Royal Match and every few it has a try me where I try to save King Robert. About half the time I fail and what really frustrates me is that the one with the pipe and water pops up iTunes Store in the middle of the tryme and it’s timed so poor King Robert is doomed! It wouldn’t be so bad if it was just that I wasn’t fast enough but it really kills me that this error kills him! Shame on you, Developers! Please fix this! After reading the comments I’m thinking about deleting but that won’t help me in Star Trek because I like the freebies. I’m 65 years old and I rarely have money for in game purchases so I’m just playing a bit and I put it aside rather than spending money on game currency. I’d be much more interested in game currency if you would quit with the ridiculous life limit.

Sued?. It’s amazing you guys haven’t been sued yet or taken off the App Store. Forcing people to pay to “level up”. I’ve beaten super hard levels with less “moves” & less “power ups” yet I can’t get passed a hard level even with many power ups, extra moves, nothing. So when all of my coins are gone, all my power ups are gone, what you expect me to pay for more for you to just make me waste them again? Because you literally force us to use so many moves to get “little matches” of three or four that do nothing? Then by the time we make a dent we’re out of moves. How is that fair game? Want us to compete in the “competitions” but then purposely block us from succeeding in fair participation. I spent $.99 on a little booster pack or whatever & if I thought worth it I’d have demanded my whole less than a dollar back because it did nothing for me at the time then either. Worthless. It’s amazing how stuck on a level then come back a day or more later an then WHOOPS get passed that level magically like a fart in the wind. Never again will I play these types of unfair games. You get so many levels ahead then get blocked from moving forward. If you can’t help but purposely stop people from advancing then why even bother letting them play to begin with making them think they have a chance? Oh right. Greed & money.

Challenging But needs A lot of work. I have download it a few times before and I’ve been playing it And I thought it was really bad at first but then I’ve been passing passing levels and I just think it’s really cool it’s really relaxing like if you’re so bored you could just download that game and start playing it it’s really interesting because my favorite part about it is The rooms are you unlocking it’s like your style in the rooms you have like three choices and you choose a choice a little and you have to pay for the stars tell me where you can get stars is like just play the puzzle game and anyway it’s really challenging challenging but you want to say if you never give up you might get itBut there is one thing the ads are super annoying I wish they had like West ads I want to match I know it has no words in it but there are ads about it everywhere I know it’s probablyThe number one game in the world but steel yet I wish you could start but I know do you want everybody to know about it about it and that’s good get even more popularBut it probably deserves like a one star because I don’t like There are no ads in it they need to put some ads in it because I’m getting mad about it because there’s so many ads and I just want it to stop so please put some ads in it and I want everybody to know about this

Fun but not like the ads. I kept seeing adds pop up everywhere for this game so I got it. It’s really fun but there are a few things that aren’t the best. For one, all the adds show fun games where you have to rescue the king and nothing else. On the actual game, you can only do those like, every 20 or so games. The real games you do are just matching 3 in a row like all those other ones you see. Another thing is that they advertise it as “not pay to win” though it certainly is. They don’t force you to buy stuff, but if you’re stuck on a level, you have to chose between giving up which results in you loosing a life and if you do this 5 times, you can’t play for half an hour or so unless you pay for more lives, or using your coins to get more moves, but again, if you use them all up, you have to pay for more. One thing I do really appreciate though, is that there aren’t adds. On most games I have adds pop up every 10 seconds and it drives me crazy, so again, thanks to the creators for not including them. In all though, Royal match is a great game I would totally recommend to everyone!

Love this game BUT. I LOVE this game, it's kinda addicting, BUT there are a few things I have issues with. #1 and my biggest issue is the cost to get more moves.. 900 coins for 5 moves is a an astronomical amount! Especially when you only need 1 move. I think 100 coins PER extra move is more than enough. With the cost of power ups being between 1 and 3 thousand coins it just doesn't seem right to have moves be just as expensive. #2 is the game play from the ads, I didn't get a kings nightmare that played like the ads until over lvl 2000, that is very disappointing, those types of gameplay are fun and challenging! It's what made me WANT to play the game! #3 I also agree with other comments about the difficulty lvl ESPECIALLY when you have unlimited lives. Get through 1 or 2 lvls and then you are stuck until time runs out no matter what difficulty that lvl is. Other than that I do LOVE the game and I do pay real money to play "longer" which I don't mind, I just wish the gameplay was like the ads for the game and the unfairness of the cost for extra moves. I hope you will take that into consideration and maybe change the price of extra moves. Thank you in advance

Advertising is not indicative of the game. I’ve been playing this game for a few days but I’ve decided to delete it. Too many match 3 colours puzzles and barely any of the games which are shown in the advertising. Also, when I achieve extra time it seems to disappear if I can’t continue playing - it doesn’t remain there for me to use later. Update - Oct 2023. Just tried playing it again and it’s nothing like the ads. Disappointing. I haven’t got the patience to trudge thru the levels to get to the interesting levels. Also, not interested in building castles etc. Why can’t a game be as it is advertised?

Other comments. I have been playing this game now for over 2 years, along with the best group of team mates out there. By the way I’m the team leader. I do a cull the last Sunday of every month, along with my co-leader. The first cull over a year ago was 30 plus members not playing or helping. This month we had one, which the member was actually given a months grace due to personal reasons. So no new members at all this month and only 2 last month. Yes the kings nightmare only happens occasionally but if you stick with the game it gets very complex and not as easy as you would think. You do not need to pay for anything unless you’re in some great hurry to get to the next level. If you spend money, on anything, no one to blame but yourself. Keep up the good work, love the game.

Just can’t get through the levels anymore!. I’ve been playing this game for over a year now, am up to level 1545. Every night I relax with it, until recently! It seems I just can’t get through the levels in one or maybe two goes anymore! So frustrating. I used to play for a good hour getting through levels on my own without using extra arrows or canons or hammers but now, for the past four months, it’s one level for two or more weeks! I hate it so much I’m very tempted to just delete the whole game. Have the algorithms changed to make it harder and if so, why? Why make it harder to play and potentially turn players away from the game all together? I don’t mind a challenge every now and again, and have battled through thinking it will get a bit easier the longer I try, but no! It’s still too friggin difficult to get through a level.

Great Game. This game is great. My whole family plays it and it brings us closer together. Not only is there the main game but there is lots of fun mini games as well. This game is the perfect way to cure your boredom wether you are waiting inline for a consent or just want something to do on a rainy day. The best part about this game is that it doesn’t need internet so you can play it anywhere and there are no adds. The game gets quite challenging the higher the level but is overall an enjoyable game. NOTE: Even though this game is not the same as the adds this game still has parts of the add in the game. Even with this game not being what you expect it is a very fun way to spend parts of your day.

Not Great. This game would actually be great if it wasn’t for the fact that it is not what it was advertised. Totally different. And when you run out of lives you have to wait half an hour just to get one life to try and maybe clear a level that can be really hard. I don’t mind losing, but having to wait to play is just ridiculous. Why would you punish people that want to play your game? That is the dumbest thing a developer can do. Why would I not uninstall it now instead of having to constantly wait for more lives? Punishing people that want to play is exactly how you lose players/customers. I hate when devs do this, are you guys stupid or just a holes? It has to be one of those and my guess is you are stupid.

This is why it’s incredible: - amazing graphics - amazing rooms and interior designs that come with each accumulated level access - NO LAG - SUPER addictive - option for team games / individual games - you can make your OWN team and ppl ACTUALLY JOIN - chatting system made when in teams - chatting system allows use of emoticons - feel GREAT about winning gold coins which you can do many additional things with but even if you don’t use the coins, just seeing them add up in your gold bank account makes you gleam! (I wish all the gold coins were real money…) - actually FUN with varying levels for all skills - variety of tasks and games to keep audience engaged - EASY TO MANAGE - SMART layout so everything is easy to understand - global game with global players …. The list could go on

Royal match. I really enjoy the mechanics of the game- the propellers, bombs and colour bombs and the effects of combining them are really fun. Yes there is all that—it’s true, but I’m a little annoyed that the ‘Rescue the King’ games are far and few in between. The game is advertised as having these features where you save the king from an acid bath, or from thirst in a desert—but I haven’t seen them since I logged back on. So if that doesn’t change I’m logging back off and deleting the game.

Having a good team makes all the difference.. I liked this game, but now I love it. I have found a very active team to play with and we have become amazing friends who actively chat and support each other both in the game and in real life. This has elevated the game for me to the point that I play daily in order to chat with my friends, work towards the tournament prizes and give each other lives. The Royal Pass is great value for money in my opinion and well worth buying each month.

No ads? You’re joking!. For a game which says it knows how irritating it is to be bombarded with ads when playing games, Royal Match has to be the most irritating of the lot - every game I play is full of Royal Match ads to the point where I wouldn’t play it on principle. Also it proudly states that it’s free - free to download maybe, but if you want to get anywhere playing the game there are the “in-app purchases” which net the developer around $2M a month: no wonder they can afford not to have ads in the game! I keep hoping that the king will eventually succumb to being crushed/drowned/frozen/burned/eaten and will disappear completely from my tablet never to be seen again - he’s the sort of bumbling idiot I don’t want anything to do with.

Addictive but could adopt some improvements. I keep maxing out the levels, and lately all of the levels are very much the same - with very few “King’s Nightmare” timed levels or new types of puzzles. Just more of the same and waiting for updates to release more levels. Suggestion: allow us to revisit previous levels and games - like you can in Candy Crush - but just have those games not add any coins or rewards. I loved some of the previous levels but once they have been played, they are gone. So I am wasting a lot of time waiting for more and more levels that aren’t very challenging.

Startled off fun… but then. It started off loads of fun, I’m on level 750 now, but ready to delete it. It gets harder and harder as you go further. It wants you to pay to pass a level. Then finally gets to the point you just can’t pass a level for days, when it seems you’re not going to pay it may let you win in hopes you may pay for help further on. Think I’m done. Sorry guys. Great game but don’t think it’s a long term one if you don’t want to pay anything. Maybe give us the choice of ads or no ads

Not the game shown in the adverts. The game shown in the ads is 0.1% of the actual game and is in no way a actual representation of the game play. The Areas are painful to do because it takes you away from the area where you select what to add next and to show you what you selected and then back to the main screen. I have given up because it is just to repetitive and would takes days to use up the 1000+ stars. Otherwise pretty much the same as other games without the ads.

It’s a good game. I like this game, but as per usual, the preview show a time base level which is what drew me to the game, but I’ve not seen any more than maybe 5 of those levels out of 1800 levels which is annoying, but it’s just a game so who cares really? Oh! And chat function needs spell check Now 2300 levels and still no time base levels Thanks for the response, it looks like it is a peave of many, you could have two styles of game play, the one you have, which I really enjoy, and you could have the exact same levels with a time limit of them too to make it even harder Time base levels have been added, still not the same as the adds portray? Thanks to the developers for making this game for people to enjoy without being bombarded with ads which is refreshing in this day and age The graphics are great you earn points to get stuff and you only have to spend money if you want to and the option of joining a team all without Facebook unless you want to is great for people like me whom prefer No Facebook Thankyou again to all involved in this awesome time waster :)

Almost a 5 from me.. I love this game, it’s challenging at times, has good rewards and zero ads!!! I’ve found an awesome team and we chat a lot and all contribute to the team challenges. If I could change one thing, it would be to add a “complete all” option when building the areas. It’s painfully slow to build 10 items in each area and when you do finally get there, you have to watch it build again (a skip option would be awesome here). If you could add this option, I’d give 5 stars.

Excellent Game. Played a-lot if PlayStation games in the past. Been playing this game for over a year now through a pretty tough patch in my life. This is a game that just keeps on giving & surprising. I love the team I’ve managed to stay with. Well I’m at the end of the tunnel with the light ahead over the rough patch & the thrill of team relating & artificial AI interaction still stays with me. Really enjoying the surprises this game still holds for me & after 6000 levels I though I’d have moved on to new gaming adventures but I haven’t because the Ai in this game makes me laugh & I really need that in my life. Wouldn’t surprise me where this game will take us because the the scope of it is amazing. Really glad I persevered though the hard levels & didn’t give up. Now I find it calms me down & gives me a lift when I need it most. Well done game developers really looking forward to seeing where this game goes. For cyber space AI interaction it’s wonderful & highly educational for those who love challenging puzzles. Sometimes the love of humanity really kicks in & they just get get it right. Technical Issues. I really enjoyed playing this match game for a while. You have to spend to win but that’s normal. Then suddenly the game started closing down on me, usually after I spent some money! Support is on hand but they just run a script that my device is at fault, the game has fantastic graphics (er, no it doesn’t) and this causes RAM issues and basically I need to buy a new iPad. I play loads of games with animation and graphics and never had this issue. Also I noticed My Game closes Down is on the list of FAQs in troubleshooting. All they say is thanks for reaching out to us (ugh) and basically, it’s your problem. So I quit. Sick of spending just to have game shut down.

Quit with the ad spam. I downloaded this game for two reasons and neither of them are to play it. Reason one was to write this review and reason two was to escape the ads for this game in my other games. I loved watching Rick Hoffman in Suit but I am so sick of seeing his face. I can deal with the mass amount of ads in mobile games nowadays but not when it is there exact same ad for weeks at a time with no variation. Apple seems to stop showing ads for certain games when it’s been downloaded so I have my fingers crossed I don’t see another for this game. I know you’re trying to reach a large audience, but I will never play your game out of pure bitterness.

Great game but I’m always stuck on level 12!. So this is a good game and all but I just can’t get past level 12! It’s so anoying how I lose and then I have to wait another 20 minutes so plz update the game to make their more life’s than usual or make us wait less time and put more life’s when time is over. Other than that it’s the best game I have ever played well not the BEST game ever it’s just a great game so plz read this and if you are thx😊

Review. I’ve managed to get to the current max level over a few years and I have to say the game is frustrating at times. However, sooner or later you make it through the levels and continue. Yeah it’s taken days at times but persistence pays. Some of the levels are becoming a little repetitive but given there’s no ads that’s ok. One of the few games I actually come back to so I guess it’s pretty good! Irritates me to see the game pause when dropping new items because it never ends in my favour.

Last update. Ever since the last update I have had trouble accessing boosters - the screen goes black, so that I can’t see the game. I have no way of getting in touch with the creators of the game since my settings button disappeared a while ago. I don’t expect anything will be done about it, but I have lost a lot of lives and butler’s gifts etc because I had to get out of the game to restart. I’ve spent a lot of money on this game, but it’s time to cut my losses, unless it can be fixed

Not at all what was advertised. I know we’ve all seen the millions of advertisements,all talking about how you have to constantly save the King, well that’s not true. The game is fun and challenging, yes, but I got it thinking every game would be solving puzzles and saving the King from danger, but it only happens every once in maybe 50 plays. You only play the matching with a limited amount of moves and that’s it. Saving the king only comes once in a while and is labeled as the kings nightmare, which ends as soon as completed only to come around again in another 50 years. However the game is good and no ads is an added bonus. Just wish they would stop false advertising

What a colossal waste of time.. Can’t get anything done with this app. No washing, no house cleaning. Don’t even cook meals anymore. All I do is play Royal Match. Now that the wife plays it to, the kids get their own meals, and feed the pets. I’ve shown them how to wash clothes and pack lunch boxes. If I could leave my job and just play this game, I would. It’s good to have a break but. If you don’t, sliding gems and matching stuff ends up in your dreams. Great game. Well developed and very clever. Anyway, if you loved Candy Crush, or FarmVille, you’ll like this for sure.

Great game but ads for it are deceitful. I have been playing this game for some time now (on level 4060), but when playing other games I keep seeing the ads for Royal Match and the mini-games. Most of the games depicted in the ads I’ve not come across once, and they only happy sporadically for a 50 coin bonus - it used to be a daily mini-game for 15 min free lives which was much more exciting. I’d really love to see those mini-games introduced into the actual game, as currently it feels like serious false advertising.

Extremely satisfying but easier levels and inaccurate adds. I’m always going to love royal match but I always have to try twice or more to finish a level. And in the adds it only shows the king’s nightmare levels and in game you have to finish an area to play through the king’s nightmare levels sooo really weird and It’s interesting that in the loading screen you can see the king’s butler and pet corgi. Also if the king has knights then WHERE THE HELL HAVE THEY GONE because if the events that happen in the king’s nightmare levels were to occur then wouldn’t it be the top priority of the knights to get the king out of danger. also if it’s a nightmare that very clearly is set in the king’s own castle then wouldn’t his mind at least have the knights somewhere in his nightmare like at the stables or guarding his sleeping chambers or in the armoury soooooo just wanted to point that out. And you’re probably going to be saying that the world in royal match is at peace but still there would be guards just in case sooooo yeah really really weird just pointing that out

Disappointed. I have seen a lot adds of this game and in the adds, it shows something completely different! In the adds, it shows that the king is in trouble and he needs saving in different ways, like there are rocks and than we have to solve the puzzle to get the rocks to fall so the king can cross to the other side but in the actual gameplay, there is nothing like that. I mean, yes, the game is nice and fun and all but if it is not like that in the actual gameplay so you shouldn’t show it in the adds😡😡😡! I am very disappointed with all of this and if this your idea of making money through fake adds then it is better if you shouldn’t because it is 100% not nice at all. I said all I wanted, now the choice is up to you guys. If you listen, it is better, but still, you are free in your decisions😤😤😤

No ads..!!. Finally found a game that doesn’t bombard you with annoying ads.. although there isn’t much to this game, it is still enjoyable and a time waster..😂 I have only just started but this game is what I play when I have some spare time.. the levels aren’t challenging, but I’m sure as I get further into it they will become harder.. there is the option to purchase things to help pass levels or you can just use brain power.. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 Thank you to the developers for putting together this game..!! Goes to show that games can be fun WITHOUT needing ads..

Thieves, liars hoodwinkers, don’t let them fool you. The ads for this (which number in the hundreds if not thousands) across other games, portray this as a multi puzzle game. It is not It is just a match three game. What the ads show is not the game. Good graphics but you cannot win levels after a certain point without spending real money. They say you can but it’s a lie. Everyone stops playing eventfully because it pointless. I will be punished for this review too, by being given even smaller rewards and harder quests. But I don’t care because I and almost all the people who were in my team (have stopped playing. But the misleading ads are my biggest beef. The puzzles they advertise are as rare as hens teeth. There was a period where they did have one or two every few levels but I have not seen one for months/or many many levels. When I spoke to someone in the ‘help’ they virtually said I was lying. That as I am at level 1400+ then I obviously can beat the levels. This was after I said that I have spent over $300 real money out of frustration. They chose to ignore that, then went on to imply I must be stupid. They are not generous with rewards as many other games are. They just want to keep you interested enough to spend your money. you have been WARNED. This review won’t get shown either THIEVES, LIARS UTTER

Good game with one annoying flaw. Mostly I like this game but it has one flaw which frequently annoys the hell out of me! Once you get 900 coins (which often takes a while) you can use it to get 5 extra goes which comes in really handy on hard levels. However the button to spend your hard earned coins is in the exact same place as the button to try again. Unless you exit beforehand before hitting try again, it’s super easy to spend your coins accidentally. They probably did this intentionally so people would use real money to buy coins which is kind of mean - either that or it’s just designed badly. Other than that gripe, the game play is very good.

Good but …. The ads don’t reflect the game play, how tedious. The ads all show a time based game rescuing the king, but I have only played that a few times in nearly 200 levels. Lots of freebie gifts to start, which is great. And so the game is fun until it isn’t.. At about level 150 the freebies dried up and run out and suddenly you have to play every game about 6 times to win. Which feels very contrived. And clearly they want you to spend money, wouldn’t mind that if the game was a bit more winnable. However, constant difficulties , why bother.

Not as advertised, there’s no ‘saving the king’ . Same as candy crush.. I don’t understand why this game isn’t the game advertised to ‘save the king’, which looks really fun. Aren’t there advertising laws against that? Maybe that’s why it’s free. I don’t understand the high ratings or reviews for a product that isn’t what it says it is. You do get occasional opportunities to ‘save the king’ but these are still just clearing a board, but timed! It’s again not as it’s shown in the ads which by the way, I annoyingly still get. Why isn’t that game the one you get to play? I thought I had to get to some level to find it but I’ve given up as it’s obviously not the case. It’s just the same as candy crush which is boring.

Great, but not really a puzzle game.. Best thing about this game is the lack of ads. They rely on in-game purchasing, which is fine. The graphics are wonderful. But if you are here for the puzzles, you can forget it very quickly. There isn’t any way of winning by thinking it out, the game is reliant on the placements of boosters, which for puzzle freaks like me, are cheats. But it is not possible to clear a board without using boosters. And yep, I get you can gain boosters by making matches, but it isn’t enough to clear the targets. Worth a try… but not for everyone.

Royal Match.. Royal match is an excellent game that is mentally challenging but also fun. It involves learning time management ( by having a certain number of turns ), Groups ( Clubs you can join on the game ) and you can technically play it anytime, anywhere! I do have a problem with this game though, when I played other apps, Royal Match had excessive ads. And it was so many apps that had that problem. Also, the ads of this game that were excessively shown on the apps showed a King that you had to save, that has only happened to me once and I am on level 27. Although I am complaining about ads showing incorrect information of what the app content actually is, the ads did not exactly show or say that the app would be like that. And the one thing the apps did promise was that there was no ads on Royal Match ( Which is true ) and you didn’t need Wifi to play Royal Match ( Which is also true ) My next problems involves how lives work. I think that it is unfair you have 5 lives and if you lose them, you can’t play for another 18 or 19 hours, just so you can lose them again in 5 minutes. Also, the app said when you join a team you get unlimited lives, I got 30 hours of unlimited lives, until I was back to 5 lives. You can’t access teams without internet, but the app said 0 internet required. That is my last problem. Thank you for creating a great app that could be made better, but as for the moment, is one of the greatest apps on my Phone. Thank you for your time.

Typical False Advertisement. Games like these truly give a bad rep to other mobile games, as with its fishy approach, Royal Match features a game that is mostly replicated from Gardenscape and Candy Crush, however, like Gardenscape, spams ads that are prevalent in other mobile games like Beatstar which advertise a completely different game. I believe this type of false advertising should be made illegal, and if this kind of game is advertised to entice an audience, why not make a game like what is shown? After playing till Level 6, I realised this game was never intended to be in alignment with the ads it presents. Truly a disappointment, from cringe false advertising to downright awful gameplay, this game is pathetic.

Not as advertised and annoying levels. Was drawn to the game based on the ads, but as per usual, what is shown on the ads and what the game actually is are two different things. Poor effort right away. If you are going to draw people in with an ad free game, at least be honest with what the game is. Shame! You might get the occasional timed level but they see, few and far between. Levels are also more than hard, and Super Hard levels… forget trying to ever get them unless every move results in a power up you can actually use. Funny that on your last move when you know you aren’t going to pass the level, the game suddenly throws up countless power ups and you are sitting there as the game tells you you failed the level and you are staring at enough power ups that would have passed the level. I have sometimes spent over a week or more trying to beat a level which is a joke. Obviously the developers have not considered that when creating the levels as they create the levels constantly with one less move than what you actually need, and it’s done so they can sucker you in to the in app purchases. Seriously! 900 coins just to get 5 extra moves. Lower than price, advertise your game correctly and maybe you wouldn’t be getting so many bad reviews.

Agree with other bad reviews.. I agree with the others, the game advertisement is misleading. I downloaded the game based on the adds just to find it is just another match ‘em game. It was still rather entertaining for a while, but as the others have said, you get random levels where it is impossible to get past unless you buy the ‘in app’ purchases. The frequency you need to purchases slowly increases as you get higher until it starts to become painfully obvious once you get above level 1250. Yes, I bought a few at the lower levels but refuse to be railroaded into paying exorbitant amounts of money to keep playing. So just leaving my review before I delete the game which I am doing right now. I don’t regret spending what I have done so far, the devs do deserve to earn income from their product. But I feel I given the devs fair value for what they created and refuse to spend any more especially from a moral perspective where I am placed in a position where I must give more to keep going.

$$$. Well designed game with good graphics, but the rewards that are required to keep playing the game are incredibly stingy. No, I’m not going to pay 15 bucks to move colourful blocks around my screen for an hour, I can’t even imagine the kind of person who would. I understand that these apps (like everything in the 21st century) are made with the sole purpose of creating passive income for app developers, but 5 minutes of gameplay before you hit a paywall is a rort. I’d rather pay 10 bucks for the app, but I guess the whole point is to create a separation and mystique around the money that you’re spending. Bless up

Terrible. The King is not in peril. Uninstalled. Quite frankly, I’ve seen many such cases of this game being marketed as saving a monarch, presumably reigning, from many situations deemed too dangerous for the commoner to handle let alone be in as demonstrated by the repeated failures by presumably King Robert’s crooked advisers, likely payed off with money from Dream, to save him. Sad! In addition, the crooked Austin from Garden Drapes doesn’t have his laptop searched for evidence of the fraud he committed to acquire the manor in Ga Ra Sca Go. Likely hidden by the crooked King Robert, King Reductionist we call him, giving all the peoples jobs to foreign kingdoms yet the crooked Dream corporation refuses to oust King Reductionist and replace him with KRT Jr. King Robin Terrance Jr. that is who served TWO TOURS OF DUTY against the Dragons. Wonderful person, true hero of the realm, yet King Reduction refuses to give this true patriot a proper ceremony for his honorable discharge from the seventh Knights corps. Goes to that the crooked King Reduction stole the selection process for the next king and should be tried for TREASON. It’s true, no ads…. You’ve seen an ad for this game surely, rescue the king during some fun looking mini puzzles. And then another ad told me it was ad-free. Is it irony that I found out about this ad-free game from another (now uninstalled) game riddled with ads..? So I tried it. Unfortunately the “rescue the king” puzzles are few and far between match three gameplay. It’s one of the more fun match three games I’ve played though. But at higher levels you can’t seem to progress without relying on multiplying the boosters and hitting up your teammates for more lives to retry a failed level. It’s not the game I wanted to play so I’ll be uninstalling. If you are hoping for the game you see in its ads, you’ll probably end up uninstalling as well.

Not enough lives when you reach harder levels. Awesome game until you reach the higher levels, I love that it gets harder but the game gives you a pitiful 5 lives to try and complete the puzzle with, the lives do re-load but takes 2 and a half hours to reload to the full five lives again. 5 lives is no where near enough to complete the harder puzzles (despite their claims) and I find I just get frustrated having to wait such a long time to try again. The game is gearing towards trying to make you purchase more coins and lives. Im slowly not playing this game as I’m sick of waiting for lives to reload-I will eventually uninstall as it’s no longer enjoyable.

Love a good challenge, levels are hard tho…. I all for a good challenge, especially with games such as this one! I do find this game enjoyable, the graphics, sound, haptics and gameplay are well designed, but level are quite tricky and have noticed myself spending hours/ days on the same level…. I do wish the levels were a little of the more ‘less difficult’ side … which would improve my overall experience with this app… avoid spending numerous attempts on the same level. Great how there’s 100% no adds (that’s my experience at least) I recommend, definitely better than candy crush!

Total liars!. I recently downloaded it and oh my goodness!! This game doesn’t even have any of those levels of saving the king! So these ads about saving the king has got nothing to do with the actual game. There were so many ads about royal match and like I said I thought to try it out and there you go, there are absolutely NO need of saving the king. I waited for weeks for the levels and Nothing happened. And these ads were bugging me for weeks, like seriously first some grown up people are advertising and lying about a game that is wrong and secondly shouldn’t those grown people have other things to do? And thirdly, seriously be for real about what you are showing on the internet and ads! Total waste of time! 😡😡😡

The game itself is good BUT as you only get 5 lives it takes 20 sometimes more tries to get through one level UNLESS you’re prepared to pay, it gets pretty frustrating pretty fast, you can join a team to get more lives but even then it still takes waaaaay too long to advance even 1 level. Pretty disappointing. Be prepared to pay A LOT if you want to advance. They devs say you don’t need to pay or use busters to get through a level, but even using boosters you still won’t get through without playing the same level over and over and over again.

BEST GAME……….EVER!! 😃. I’m up to level 1000 and the game is absolutely perfect. It has a good mixture of easy and difficult levels. But, for me, the best part is that none of the levels are impossible to complete. Some may take a couple of goes but that is perfect for me. Other games I have tried in excess of 200 times to pass a level and eventually I am forced to outlay a lot of money to buy in-game power-ups to complete the level. I usually delete a game before I outlay money more than once. WELL DONE!!! 5 well deserved stars from me.

Royal Match not so loyal. The game itself is good unfortunately it’s addictive and costly. No incentives to get free coins by watching a video advertisement you either lose what you’ve won on the journey which means you have to try and redeem the items that help you win your matches. I have spent a lot of money for me, I am a pensioner with family health issues and this game helped me cope with the everyday challenges as it was my pastime. I have uninstalled it and won’t be installing this or any Royal games in future. Good game though if you are skilled and it gets harder as your levels go up and you need a deep pocket.

RMA. Love the game, it’s the best game, a little too good, the creators have out done them selves. They have brought the competitiveness out in some, maybe most or all of us. They are generous with the freebies, an hours free play 4 days a week, and the prizes for winning are decent, you collect cards, a lot of games do this too, but RM out do them by far. The support team are fantastic !! They are available at all times, to assist with any issues, and I’m not talking bots, well you get one to say a support team member will be with you soon.. then boom I’m chatting to a human, I even gave the guy one of my ideas, and a week later we got it, I dont know if there were others that mention the same thing but super happy. I would have tweaked the new update a tad but not complaining. You can pass levels without paying but you have to be patient, as you may need to do the level 20 to 50 times. But you will eventually get it. Because the “game” feels sorry for you 🤣 and starts to inject more boosts. Also very coincidental but on the very last shot, a super boost falls to try and persuade you OR pull at your competitiveness, so in reality WELL DONE, the game is brilliant 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Addictive lol. Love this game, maybe on it a little too much. As generous as the developers are on freebies, my only downside (not enough to bring down a star) is that 5 extra moves costs the same amount as refilling your lifebox- feels a bit pricey and only makes sense when it starts adding 20-30 moves onto those when you keep failing. The reason I haven’t done it yet is because I didn’t have enough money for the extra moves and only had one shell to destroy or grass patch to match over or something lol But otherwise great game :)

Game has recently changed. Used to be a great game but lately I have noticed that it purposely changes the power ups. It’s like it has become computerised and slightly slower by a split second. It’s like you can see it is cheating you out of making power ups. I also last week was at the gym working out when I got a notification on my watch saying I’d spent $5 on the game when I clearly wasn’t even playing it. I immediately stopped my workout to stop the payment through my banking app and even went as far as closing my bank card and having a new one issued. I haven’t updated apple with my new payment details purposely until I delete this game so it doesn’t happen again. I got my refund as I disputed the charge but I will not update it until I delete this game as it’s no longer what it used to be.

Ok, but somewhat frustrating. Yes it’s frustrating, not because some of the levels are difficult, but because of the nonsensical way they are graded. I routinely get stuck on standard levels, hard levels are passed with relative ease, and super hard levels i breeze through with ease. This happens time and again. I understand you can get lucky sometimes, but this happens all the time. Basically if they switched the word hard for easy, it would be about right.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. This game is so falsely advertised and even after you download it to play the game is not as advertised! You never see any place to “save the king” and the ads are continuous and long!!! Their long ads also appear continuously in other games while playing and you can’t get rid of them! Wish I could find a way to get rid of future ads for this game! If enough people write bad reviews, maybe they will take the hint and other game producers will not allow them to advertise during their games! we can only hope!!!

Royal match. This game, like so many others, is completely different from what is shown in the ads. It’s basically the same game as Gardenscapes and a whole host of others..and they’re all boring. Why don’t you just make a game like is shown in the ads? That’s the reason people respond to it..because that’s the game they wanted! People are going to download it, play it 3 or 4 times and then move on. Get wise and give people the game you advertise!

Semi fake ad. I am close to level 700. The game in the ad came up twice in the first 200 levels then never again. This is just an easier version of candy crush. If you like match 3 games then this is ok, but the ad is meaningless.

Fun but it’s not like the ads. I like match three games. When I saw the ads depicting match three challenges to save the jig from some kind of demise, I thought it would be a different twist on the puzzles I enjoy. I’m at level 218 and I haven’t seen anything that compares to the video samples in the ads. Either change the game or change the ads!!!

“Free” and rigged to keep you thinking you can win. Don’t believe the ads for this game. Like all free puzzle games it has those easy “you’re great at this” intro. Then it’s pretty obvious that you need to purchase packages to keep playing when they up the difficulty. Even worse than that, it’s blatantly obvious that the “random” falling of gems is blatantly against you, unless you try multiple times where all of a sudden you get all the bonus combos. A match that gives you a limit of 22 moves will constantly give you nothing, unless you fail enough and then you can get it in 10 moves. Complete trash of game and clearly rigged to keep you playing

Disappointed. The advertising sucks you in believing you are playing nothing but puzzles to save the king when in fact those are maybe 1% of the actually game. What we see in the ad is mini games and shows you many levels when in fact that is much of the game itself. So disappointed. No mini games. If you are getting this app for the mini games you saw in their ads - forget it! The developers will tell you they appear as you progress through levels, but that’s a lie! I’m at level 600 and I played 2 mini games within the first 20 levels and haven’t seen one since.

Inaccurate Ads. This is one of those apps that advertise using ads that aren’t representative of actual game play. It’s essentially Bejeweled…you aren’t solving puzzles to save some Royal figure from burning in a fire or freezing to death.

Worst case of false advertising I've ever seen. So blatant!. So, I play a bunch of Angry Birds games, some which bribe me to watch ads, seems like most are for this game. Now, the one honest thing about them is depicting this as a Match 3 game. But Match 3 games got old and tired with the first Bejeweled clone, and it seems like a favourite game type to make into tiny kill-some-time games, so I always pass. But this... They would show a King in some perilous situation - the most common being a slowly moving wall of spikes closing in on the trapped King - where a Match 3 obstacle lies between him and safety - in this case the King has the spikes on one side and the Match 3 field on the other, you have to clear columns away for him to move away from the spikes. Or he needs to escape over a bridge, but a Match 3 field is rising under it, raising the bridge. Now THIS seemed like an interesting variant! And they often show a collection "which one is next", all thumbnails showing the King in danger next to a Match 3 field. But, a Match 3 rip off implies dishonesty, I didn't want to add this to my iOS account (once "bought", forever owned, I can never remove it from my account), and they always have incompetent morons playing, clearly meant to annoy you into "I can do better", but actually communicates to me "This game is probably no fun, just frustrating and annoying, you'll get harder puzzles which will frustrate you like this guy". So I got it for a virtual phone, in BlueStacks, to check my suspicions. What we ACTUALLY get is a boring standard Match 3 game, no King in sight. And they slowly add more and more annoying complicated functionality, thinking that the challenge makes it more fun when it only makes it more frustrating and annoying. (This item you have to match next to it. This one you need to match next to it twice, THIS one you must attack with supers, meaning you have to hope and pray the game gives you the combinations to earn supers, especially when you have almost no normal spots with which to earn them. Hope and pray? Where's the strategy in THAT? The APPEAL of this style of game is strategically figuring out when and where to make combinations to not mess with future combinations). And it's timed (or rather, you have to finish levels in a certain amount of moves). Limits adds stress to playing. NO FUN! Eventually they compound the annoyances - sorry, they probably consider them "challenges". You have to destroy (match) 100 green pieces - not ANY pieces, only green - to lift a blockade of pieces you can only attack with powerups. Or they put a challenge out of reach, meaning you need rockets or helicopters, then always get rockets facing the wrong way and helicopters target the easy targets. And do ALL that matching in under 30 moves, so impossible you use powerups faster than earning them. This soon becomes Pay To Win: you run out of moves then have to pay disgusting amounts of in-game coins to get a measly 5 more moves - more with each continue - until you run out of coins and need to buy more with real money. Then, once in a rare while THERE'S the King! In a bonus level. But, oops, his peril has about nothing to do with the Match 3 field. And bonus levels are usually light easy fun. Nope, instead of the quite manageable challenge that offers satisfaction from the ads, you get "Match 100 of this one piece we hardly placed any of (again, hope and pray the game doesn't screw you with providing enough pieces and close enough) in 1 minute". King is isolated, like in a burning room above the game field, no contact or interaction. If you actually beat the exceedingly annoying challenge, it gives you a fire extinguisher, which magically douses the room, and the King looks happy. Whoopee. Lately, some ads include puzzles connecting water pipes, some with no Match 3 field at all! I never saw any such puzzles, no water pipes, and I'm pretty sure I got past Level 200, before I ground to a halt on Pay To Win levels! I'm curious to try these levels! The game in the ads looks interesting, I want to play the game in the ads! I'm happy several reviews have mentioned the same thing, I'm disappointed a ridiculous number of people 5-starred this garbage so its score doesn't properly reflect what a piece of crap this is. If only they knew what they were missing. I downloaded this finally just to leave this review - shame we can't review apps we know anyway without getting them - then delete it. PLEASE mark Helpful all reviews mentioning the false advertising so they become more visible to alert newcomers!

False Advertising. I was playing Geometry Dash, and an ad came up telling us that Rick Hoffmann loved the game. After some research, I found out that he was a fake bot who was trying to tell people that a such famous person was playing the game. This is honestly terrible. Please remove the ad. I’m tired of seeing it. Next, many bots play on the ads. It makes many people mad that they lose the game for such a dumb reason. Why can’t the bots do better? I’ve never seen a good ad with a human actually winning. A literal “human” in the ad kept talking like a bot and losing on purpose which can make others mad about it. Please do something about the ad. And, the mini game in the ad is fake. The only way you can access the fun mini games is to wait a few minutes for the royal match ad. Absolute garbage.

Plain & Simple…it’s a money grab. The five star reviews will tell you this is a ‘great game’. Unfortunately it’s not. The game will at times even misdirect you to moves that will make you lose, so you have to buy more time, more upgrades, and so on. I miss the days when you could buy a game and simply play, not be constantly paying to continue.

False advertisement. I saw the ads for this game and what appealed to me was rescuing the king challenges from danger. I see nothing of the sort and it’s more like candy crush. This was a waste of time to me.

Predatory Monetization. I was having fun with this until I passed level 100 - then I hit an almost insurmountable paywall. All the puzzles passed this point are designed to force people into paying. I don’t mind paying for games, but you get no mileage out of what you spend and trying to complete puzzles without an arsenal of P2W special items comes entirely down to luck. I uninstalled. Don’t waste your time.

Nothing like its Ads. I downloaded this game after seeing its ads full of interesting mini games. The actual game is nothing like that. It’s just another match-3 style game. It took the candy crush mechanic, tweaked it to make it less strategic, and globbed on a cutesy royal theme on it. The end result is candy crush for a lower IQ audience. There is a “mini game” every 20 levels or so, but it’s always the same one, not like the ads, and it sucks.

Very good game. Edit: I have made it to level 1000 and still have plenty of coins and power ups. I have never felt like I was truly stuck on a level and I have never felt like I needed to spend money in order to progress in the game. The challenges are fun, easy, and give you plenty of rewards like coins and power ups. I have not spent a penny on this game but honestly I wouldn’t mind either way, because like I said I don’t feel like I need to in order to progress. The best part: still NO ADS. If you’re looking for something casual I definitely recommend this game. I’m on level 151, which I realize is only like 2% of the levels but this game is a top tier mobile game. First and foremost, there are no ads, absolutely none. Not even ads to gain a reward. Second, earning coins, power ups, and other rewards is so easy. I have yet to get frustrated or stuck on a level because the amount of coins you earn versus the amount you spend is amazing. I can get lost in this game for hours. Highly recommend.

Deleted!!!. I deleted this app just now. Not because of the ads in the Royal Match game, but because of the extremely annoying ads they show in the other games. They are extremely obnoxious! Not only do your ads $uck, but they try to be as obnoxious as possible by playing the full 30 second ad, then it has an arrow that you click on that does another count down of 5 seconds before the “x” shows up to get out of the ad, but does it close once you click the “x”? NOOOOOOOO! It starts up another fre@kin 5 second count down and this cycle continues over and over and over until they finally let you get back to your game! I don’t know who you think you are, or why you think your ad is more important than everyone’s else’s, it it not! It is actually having the exact opposite effect. I hate seeing even your logo now. So, as much as I liked playing your game, I deleted it because of your lack of respect for MY TIME! I deleted it and will NEVER play your game again. I also don’t watch your ads anymore either. I don’t care how much longer it takes but I immediately swipe out of the game the second your ad shows up. So good for you, your greed will do you in. Great strategy, a-holes!

PLEASE READ before downloading. Royal match is a pretty good game! I can approve that there are no ads, I like that, but I noticed a lot of the player on my team stop playing and advancing around level 2000. That is because the game says you need to pay to advance and I don’t think that’s fair since some people can’t be spending money on a game, some can’t afford to be spending money to a game and others are too young. I also noticed in the ads that Royal match offers a lot of dangerous situations where you have to save the king but I haven’t really been seeing s lot of that. I really don’t mind but some people might be kinda upset about that. Every once in a while I would see a bonus level where you have to save the king but it’s mostly just the plain puzzle game. But on the good side there are lots of challenges and contests you can enter and you can even join teams and connect with others! Power Ups Necessary. The game is fairly fun and a good way to pass time. The downside is there are some levels that are impossible to beat without power ups. Once you pay for power ups be prepared to be required to buy more at each level. It generally takes a couple of minutes to win or lose each course, but the time you have to wait between getting new lives is 20 minutes. If you’re not paying for extra lives then you’ll be waiting to play longer than you’ll actually get to play. These are the reasons I think I’m on my last leg with the game (currently at level 1550). I don’t want to always have to pay to play or wait so long for lives that I forget about the game and move on to something else. ***Response to developer*** true, you can request lives from your teammates every FOUR HOURS. In my experience this ends up being more of the waiting game. Also, there are opportunities to win timed unlimited lives… but when you’re stuck on the same level for days because you’re not purchasing power-ups then you don’t reach those opportunities.

Decent game but…. Like the game isn’t exactly like the ads I’ve seen but it does make enough money to run it’s ads in other people’s games so I guess it’s a win not having “in-game” ads but still, it’s pay to win like literally 100%. They make levels easy until the algorithm decides to throw you super hard or hard levels where you need a lot of power up’s to make it through and that means “micro transactions” to buy coins to buy these power ups or spend lots of coins to “keep going” after you run out of moves. It’s a lose, lose and pointless to keep the app at that point because you’ll be stuck on a level unless you choose to spend your hard earned money to pay to beat it. It’s quite sad really. Not as sad as hiring actors through “cameo” to illegitimately promote this game and you crop out the logo like we don’t know. Like stop doing that. These actors aren’t playing this game, it makes you look desperate for downloads and it’s goofy and repetitive. I’m tired of seeing the same actors pretending like this game is “so amazing”. Graphics are fire and the concept is fire but it’s pay to win. Don’t over hype it. Thank you :D

There is no saving the King. It is a very cute game, but I only downloaded to save the king. I’m at level 188 and only got to save the king twice. I just read a review reply from the developer that there is no more saving the king / timed levels past level 100. Literally only twice did I even get to save the king. The goal the rest of the time is to just decorate his castle. I already have decorating games. So although it is cute I won’t be spending money or even playing often now that I know there will be no more saving the king games to look forward to. I’m disappointed that the ads makes it seem like that is the entire point of the game and come to find it is a totally different game than I thought I was getting. Note to developers: timed, save the king games are all we want. That is why we are here. Sorry to be harsh but your ad feels like a lie. Hope you can add some more “save”levels or offer a true save the king game.

Glitches that aren’t in your favor. I’ve been playing this game a while. Aside from the fact that it’s clearly rigged to make you spend money, it’s super glitchy and falsely advertised. Bonuses and unlimited lives disappear after no I claim them for no reason. I played thousands of levels before they finally showed a “save the Royal” level. They were fun and then mysteriously disappeared a few days ago. Now the lightning rush has mysteriously stopped working (keep in mind these two features are the ones with the most rewards). I also tested this with a friend to give them lives and when they opened the app on their phone it did t deliver the life until they’d burned through all their power ups. Like wth! That’s a blatant scam. Seems very odd that there are over half a million reviews on this app, mostly positive, but when you sort by most recent there are a ton of low ratings and bad reviews. Starting to feel like this game is a huge scam. I refuse to spend any money on it, so maybe that’s why it’s suddenly “glitching” on me. Oh, and it’s a candy crush rip off. I deleted that game right around the time I started feeling scammy vibes too.

Same as the other reviews. As others have stated, the game can be fun - addictive even. But it is definitely rigged to make you spend money, and way too frequently. I miss the days where if a game or app did cost money, you had two options. Either a trial/limited version where you only got to use it for “X” amount of days before you purchased it, or a partially functional app that would fully unlock after purchase. Either way, it was a one time purchase, or at most a two-three tier purchase package with better features/ higher cost on each tier. Now you have to pay for subscriptions, deal with ads, and constantly make in-app purchases to even play the game. In-app purchases should solely be used for the purposes of extra customization: skins, character upgrades, additional themes, etc. we should never have to spend money just to advance within a reasonable amount of time. I understand that programming is a tedious skill, but these developers need to stop being greedy and slick. If you wanna make some serious money off of programming, how about you build alternate operating systems, or something of the sort. Stop trying to get rich off of simple time-passing games. Sheesh.

Absolutely delightful game but it needs to have ads. This is an absolutely delightful and addicting game. But it's probably very expensive to make. And the creators need to make money. And that be done through ads, or by making levels almost impossible to win without spending money. Hard levels are fun, impossible levels are just frustrating and annoying. Hence, my use of this game has gone down significantly in the past few days. And you get power ups only when you win levels. So there’s the catch 99. You can buy power ups but they’re extremely expensive at 300 coins each or more. Same thing with extending a level. Winning level gives you merely 20 or 30 coins. However, if you cannot finish the level, just adding five moves requires 900 coins, and if you still cannot finish it, it requires another 1900 coins. Wish those moves and power ups were a lot cheaper, or there was an ad supported way of getting more power ups or moves, like in angry birds. You can win the levels and get some rewards, including breaking a pinata and getting half an hour or 15 minutes of infinite use of power ups. However, the game forces you to use them only right when it offers the rewards to you. If you don’t have 15 minutes or 30 minutes or an hour to play at that moment, and you want to use that reward later, you cannot do that. It just disappears. So you can claim it RIGHT THEN AND THERE, or just lose it even though you earned it. Doesn’t sound like a good strategy.

Rigged. I cannot give this game a good review, because after playing for so long, levels that come across labeled as hard, and super hard are practically impossible to beat without spending $$$. Then you get levels that aren’t marked hard, and some are harder than the levels that are marked super hard. Don’t be fooled, this once again is to get you to buy packs and spend more $. Just because a level is not labeled as hard, or super hard, doesn’t mean that it’s not. Their goal is to get you to spend, whether it’s for tournaments which are ridiculous, because you are pitted against other players who are at a much lower level, and thus, they can “win” the tournament because they are playing at a level MUCH lower than your level, and so those levels are easier for lower ranked players to beat…once again, to get you too spend $$ to purchase “packs”. I messaged their support, and got a response that had absolutely NOTHING to do with my question. When I replied, and asked what their response had to do with my question, I got another response that clearly had nothing to do with either message. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!

Falsely accused. Today I received a message from someone in customer support who FALSELY accused me of stealing coins. They claimed that Royal Match does not have advertisements populate in their app. That is a false statement because that’s all you get is advertisements throughout the game. If a customer click an advertisement that populate while playing Royal Match and want take advantage of the offers that will give the customer more coins for trying out the advertisement then why not. So if you would have review my purchases then you would have found that I make purchases regularly. Clearing purchasing coins was not an issues. False advertisements is illegal and not honoring what Royal Match Developer advertise for their clients or to the clients base who play the game is his honorable. I can prove advertisements is in the app and send screenshot. I take great offense to you attacking my Character and Integrity and insinuating a crime was committed. NEVER accuse a customer when you don’t have all the fact and NEVER make false statements about Royal Match advertisements. Especially when a customer can take a screen shot or video tape the advertisements. I’m very upset with the customer support person who sent that message. I took screenshots of the message for proof.

SURPRISED by the level of detail. These days you don’t see good games coming in mobile phones as new companies mostly target consoles, the ones which come are okay but nothing fancy, however this game is very detailed and very carefully made considering all aspects. No wonder it has million downloads and has a very high engagement. I play this game daily whenever I get time. The target audience for this game is matured people who prefer light weighted game, who play for leisure and don’t have much time to play games, this is a great time pass for such people. One can spend an hour or two easily in the game, the different themes, sounds, animations make the game more appealing and playable. Such type of games like candy crush and other ripoffs are very common but despite being in a crowded category this game clearly distinguishes itself, it is definitely the best game in its category. And this is a totally genuine , non biased review.

Not One Board is About Saving the King. Update - I have now played all 1600 levels thinking somewhere will be the level that I get to save the king, only to see boards recycled to be a bit harder, and he new things to clear like gummy bears. The adding of rooms to the castle is cute and all, it just has nothing to do with the game in the end. If the items you needed to clear had something to do with the level (room) that could help make the game more interesting. Level 1600 is 35 rooms, in case you are wondering. I do like this game and might have been willing to pay for the power up IF I was seeing boards that are in the ads. I am dropping my rating for this game, and will start looking for a new game to waist time on. I have completed all 701 levels and 45 of the Royal League and have yet to come across any levels that look like the ads for this game. As much as I like this game, what I saw in the ad was why I downloaded this game. I will not pay to play so I can wait for lives to come back. However, joining a team is helpful as you can request live from them every 4 hours. Sad to say that this app is close to being deleted.

Fun but….. This game can be fun, but don’t let the ads mislead you. You are hardly ever trying to save the king. The king usually gets in trouble after you’ve played a bunch levels of matching up little objects and setting off little bombs and you’ve accumulated points. Now you have points and a challenge which seems sometimes to not be solveable unless you use up your points to get more lives. I saw the ads for this game while playing words with friends. The ads were so persistent that I finally downloaded royal match thinking I would see less royal match ads, even after turning on location services to customize my ads, but still most of what I see in the ads is royal match. And they’re lengthy ads too, and mostly irritating people from Suits with the cameras focused right on their faces. I’m so sick of seeing that woosie king in trouble in the ads and hardly ever in the game. But the matching and the bombs and other weaponry to annihilate little shapes is kind of fun otherwise I’d give it much less than a four rating.

Awesome and free game! But some improvements would make it better :). Can you please enable the option to remove members from the page that shows how much shield points they contributed during the tournaments? This will be very helpful because it’s easier to remove the correct players. For example if you have duplicate names, it can sometimes be tricky to look at the points screen and then go to the member info. Being able to remove from the point screen would be life changing! Thank you. Also, wow, it feels like as soon as you enter King’s Cup the game is over for you. Instead of feeling like wow, I made it! It feels like wow, I’m done!!! You give only 1 shield point for most of the levels even though they can be insanely difficult!!! Please help. Reward shields accordingly and don’t make it so difficult:( we want to spend our limited free time with you but we need to feel welcome and appreciated, or at least not feel tortured. Thank you!!! Your game is great, but as in everything else in life, it can be improved :)

Fun but expensive. I loved playing this game. I got to level 810 . It’s a bit challenging there are no ads and you don’t really have to use WiFi but to interact with your team you need WiFi. Yes you have to get in a team that plays and you win bonuses and a team will get you lives. But as you play you will see you get so close to winning a level but you run out of lives. You can pay real money for coins to get lives. I played from Jan 2023 to May 2023 and I probably spent $700 to buy coins to get to the next level. You can play the levels for free. And it may take you 30 to 50 tries to complete the puzzle but by then your tired of it and just want to get to the next level you will spend money. I had to quit I just couldn’t afford it anymore. I was in a good team the last 409 levels. And we would win prizes. And that helps a lot. But it can get frustrating Good luck

Very enjoyable game with great graphics but…. I have enjoyed the game so far. There are no ads so that is a definite plus. I really enjoy defeating levels. The horn graphics when you complete a level are excellent and make you feel special. Unfortunately I as a person have reached the end of my tolerance for losing levels. I don’t want to throw money at a game to win because it’s more of a challenge playing with only free resources and I am a cheapskate. Anyway I have given up on this game. I am approaching level 200 and I have gotten close but am stuck on a level. I think I understand the concept of the game and how to use powerups but still am stuck. I think this plateau is inevitable in any game where you need to spend actual money to get additional weapons or whatever in your arsenal to defeat a level. I guess basically I have gotten tired of losing and internally wrestling with the constant requests for money to continue. Don’t get me wrong. This is an excellent game and it was extremely entertaining until I hit the point where my enjoyment of the game was outweighed by the pain of losing coupled with the annoyance of the realization that you actually have to pay cash to get to the higher levels. So this is an excellent game and I still recommend it but you shouldn’t expect to get to the highest levels without paying $$$. It was great fun while it lasted.

Screws you on coins. I liike the game all around except when after u complete a level an u have a how every many moves left it turns those into free power moves to get free coins well when u get the disco ball one let’s say it knocks out 10 or more colors out u will Get anywhere from 3-7 coins doesn’t matter if it takes out 20+ colors u will literally only get 3-7 if ur lucky 9 coins it won’t give u a coin for every color I HATE THAT but all the other free power moves it gives u the exact number of coins per color what’s with that!! I was under the impression every color it takes out/ breaks whatever u get that exact number of coins but no only for all the other free power moves just not for the disco ball one an that drives me nuts!! I hate that it does that an a lot of other people that I know that play this Hate that Aswell I have literally counted 34 colors gettin taken/ broke/ destroyed whatever u wanna call it an it only give me 9-10 coins wish very very very much in updated or new version that that changes an you get the right exact number of coins pure color it breaks/ takes/ destroys but other then that I like the game

It’s good 👍🏻. This is my first review of a game btw, and I think this game is really good! However in the ads, it shows levels saving the king. This only appears every 10+ levels as “King’s Nightmare” levels. Other levels are basic match games that are like any others. The more you go, though, the harder the levels get (duh lol) but sometimes it will take me a few days to get past one level even with all the boosts. I think the price to revive after losing is very high in comparison to the amount of coins you get per level and only for 5 moves. I think the amount of events there are good but they are very repetitive and sometimes I don’t want to join but it automatically joins me. I’m on a team and I have over 10+ hearts to use and I want to use them but too many events give unlimited hearts (this is only a personal problem, btw). Also a personal thing I have is that in so many other games I get way too many ads for it and I already have it.!

Confiscated coins…. Most Recent Update: Once again, my coins disappeared. I noticed my coins had nearly split in half, all of a sudden I noticed it so I contacted support right away and told them but they didn’t believe me. Why would I need to lie about fake money that I didn’t even pay for?? It’s just really really disappointing because I like collecting my coins & seeing how many I can get. I had saved so much and they just took half of it. So not fair! Update: I got my coins back and I take back what I said about this game. It’s a really fun game and I love that you can beat levels within a team. My coins are being taken away. I had 5,000 then I was 1000 less, then all of a sudden now I’m at 1000!? I didn’t buy anything and I keep a close eye on my coins. Also, they have a billion pop up ads asking for money all the time and I always bypass them. Is this some sort of scam to get me to buy coins? Everything was great before all of this started happening. All within the last couple of days. If developers are reading this, can you please fix this issue? Thank you. Until then it’s a solid 1 star.

Really?. Ok so 1 ALL of the adds have little stories like do the match to save the king from a shark or something but you only do ONE of those per room thing 2 the plates are really difficult to beat without spending a lot of money on boosts Bc you don’t have enough moves 3 it costs a LOT to buy boots you have to spend 1900 for 3 hammers you don’t even have the option to buy 1 you have to buy three for almost 2k coins which coins are difficult to get and the cannons cost like 4k 4 every time I get on it’s not just super laggy but also it just freezes and my internet is completely fine any other app works but this one keeps freezing or kicking me off and 5 coins are difficult to earn and get unless your spending actual money on the game you only get like 50 coins per match you win and all of this together makes the game un-fun. And it’s just frustrating you have so little amount of moves to use :/ this was a waste of time EVER SINGLE game like this does this, where you think you get to do pulley things or do little stories of one you complete it you help something or you get to choose which item to fix which but it’s just a normal overprices game thing.

Loved it until inflation hit!. I’ve really enjoyed playing this game and had it installed on both of my phones. I didn’t mind making occasional in-app purchases for extra coins so I could add 5 extra moves to a hard level or refill my lives when I wanted longer playing time until today. Today I noticed that the price and content of their in-app purchases are the same BUT they’ve increased the amount of coins needed for adding moves or refilling lives from 900 to 1,000 coins. So we’re paying and getting the same amount as before BUT getting less game play. I would’ve been a lot less annoyed about the coin increase if they had been transparent and notified players of the change BEFORE players made an in-app purchase. The failure of this company to disclose the coin increase and wait for players to discover the decreased value of their purchase is underhanded and sneaky. Unless I discover that coins are more easily attained through game play making in app purchases unnecessary, once the coins I purchased are gone I’ll find a new game made by a different developer and delete the app. I’ve only been playing a few months so I don’t know how often they pull this but for anyone considering downloading, BEWARE of making any in-app purchases!

From Fun to Frustrating. Played over 2900 levels and it used to provide good tough and interesting challenges that if after a couple failures on a board you could sort out and harder levels may take a few extra tries. Provides lots of opportunity to get boosters and extra lives from teammates and checks most of the right boxes for in game activities. Power ups really went for things that helped you win and get through tough parts but not they go towards ruining combo and other power up setups to hinder you. Now at high levels, easy levels are rarely passable in a good time frame. I’ve been on a very hard level for 6 days and about 35 lives, only way possible it seems is paying for just a couple extra moves. Incredibly frustrating, I don’t want to even play or support the game at this point. You’ll reach this point at around level 1500 and you’ll either grind and grind or do the smart thing and just move onto something else. Game has good potential if you like grinding it out

Needs Work. The number of times and different ways this game asks you to buy stuff that serves no purpose then to keep you paying a game that’s rigged against you so that you can keep playing and keep buying. The power up’s get weaker over time and you don’t have nearly a chance of beating the higher levels unless you make purchases. Unless it’s upgraded and soon I’m most likely gonna uninstall this game. If you wanna be stuck on the same level for days then go for it. All of he extra animations it’s annoying repetitive and should be allowed to skip. Lives take too long to generate and people hardly gives lives on your team. If the game wasn’t rigged to get my money by allowing all the pop ups and stop greatly rigging the game then more people myself included might actually spend money on it. When you play a PlayStation Sony doesn’t ask you over and over in every corner of the game to buy stuff because they don’t have to. Take a note from Sony!

What a breath of fresh air + one suggestion.. Finally coming across a game that doesn’t spam ads and paywall every feature is (like the title suggest) a breath of fresh air. It’s very easy to get attached to this game, but I’m not exactly upset over it. Your team communities have been nothing but nice and active, and overall, fun to participate with in challenges when those times come. With all of this said, my suggestion would HAVE to be a infinite/zen mode. No move limits, no lives involved, maybe a tier of rewards for how far you go in this mode, or certain moves could earn coins - this, that, and the third. I understand this would defeat the purpose of the game but if you make it to where only a certain level can achieve, and make it to where it works with the rest of the game - I could guarantee your players would love it. Either way, thanks for making a dope game, I’m gonna go back to playing now, haha.

Conflicted. I enjoy playing this game, but am really frustrated by how few lives you get and how much it costs in coins to either get more lives or continue playing a game you’re close to winning. It makes no sense to me that it costs 900 coins to get 5 more lives, & costs the same 900 coins to only get 5 extra moves on a level. A lot of other games let you watch ads to gain lives or moves in a game. I find myself out of lives & unable to play a lot. I know this is y’all hoping I’ll pay$, but nah. I’m happy to watch ads or whatever, but that’s it. It’s also super easy to accidentally hit continue (gain 5 moves) & lose 900 coins on a level you meant to restart. It’s in the area where the play button usually is. It feels like you’re trying to trick people into wasting coins, in order to get the spending actual money. Seems shady. I’d think 100 or so coins, or watching an ad should be enough to get a few extra moves. There’s a Christmas match 3 game that’s similar to play & does things much better as far as gaining lives & extra moves are concerned. If it stays this way I’ll probably delete the app, even though I genuinely enjoy playing the actual game itself. Bummer.

I would give it a 5 star but there’s some things that need adjusting!. I love this game! Although, there are a few things in the game that I feel is a rip off. When you get the light ball, it’s suppose to cancel out all of one main color, although every time it cancels out the colors, instead of waiting for the squares to drop, the light ball activates when the colors are in mid air and it defeats the purpose of using the light ball in the first place. If the creators can fix the light ball malfunction then the game would get a 5 stars. Until then, I feel like it’s a bit of a rip off regardless of how strategic you are. Another note, I’ve continuously upgraded the game and have entered the “Royal Court” almost 10 different times and it seems like the levels are repeated themselves with just a few new things added. I normally spend about $50 + a month and that’s including the : Royal Pass, extra lives and travel deals, so you can say I’m a very invested customer and play this game to help with my anxiety. Please fix the issues.

Fun but costs too much to win.. It was fun but like how most have stated you will either spend days or weeks on a level because you haven’t gotten lucky or have to spend way too much money. I spent way to much to get to only level 327 but got tired of spending money to uninstalled. Was fun but not worth the money or spending days or weeks on the same level because I won’t spend anymore money and haven’t gotten “lucky”. You might enjoy it but will quickly find that you need to bring out the credit card. Update: anyone who has played this game longer than a day knows that it is a pay to win. They say you can win without spending money that is a lie and simply not true. You will either spend a very very long time on a the same level or have to spend a lot of money. The developers are absolutely worthless. Their support does however (just as equally worthless) do respond 5 hours later so that is a plus. Game is crap plain and simple. It a pay to win game or spend days and hope they let you get lucky to beat a level. They’re worthless but they are not dumb they know how to get ppl to spend money is very clever too bad the game is garbage like the people who designed it. But oh well you’ll still play it and give them money.

Fun to begin with. I started playing a few months ago, because of the ad for king’s nightmare.( which is pretty much non existent and you gain just a few coins if you pass it)The game was fun to begin with, some levels more challenging than the next, which is fine, but you definitely had to spend money to buy boosters. It is definitely a game of luck more than skill, as it really depends on how the blocks drop. Example…I needed 20+ blue squares to open the curtain and literally had none on the first drop and only a couple there after, I literally lost because of the lack of blue squares. As the levels become harder with more “stuff” to remove it becomes frustrating because it takes numerous, and I mean over 20, tries to beat it. I have had to upgrade at least three times as it seems the developers weren’t ready with more levels. Each time they add more stuff to be removed, but they haven’t increased the number of plays. I used to enjoy purchasing the royal pass each month, but it takes so long to pass the levels now it isn’t even worth it anymore.

Good game!. This is an update to my first review: I’m still enjoying the game and playing everyday but I’ve noticed a few glitches - mostly with the power ups. Sometimes the game gives you two power ups together but when you try to combine them, it shoots them off separately. Also, as tiles are falling into place, the game gives power ups randomly - Instead of counting 5 tiles for a light ball, it will count 4 and give a rocket and leave the extra tile in play. Sometimes tiles disappear or appear where they should not have. When These happen they ruin my play strategy! *** First review: I was hesitant at first to download this because the ads for this game are so crazy, but I finally got it and started playing. It’s very similar to another game I like to play but Royal gives more rewards and coins! I like that the flying power ups actually go where you need them instead of being random. I’m enjoying the game so far.

It gets boring after a while. When I downloaded this game, it was fun for a while. But you will come to a point where the game kinda force you to spend real money to be able to pass a level. That’s where i decided to delete the game because although i have spent money on this game a few times, I didn’t know its a regular thing to do to constantly spend real money to pass a level and thats not cool, that’s actually insulting. They out you on a very hard level with not a decent amount of moves. They purposely give you a little bit of moves so you get stuck and have to spend money. The only other way to pass some of those levels without spending real money is if you are with a team that constantly wins between 1st and 3rd place. You can win up to 6000 coins which are very helpful to win some levels that you get stuck for a while. This is the only way to pass a level when you’re stuck, either with spending real money or sit an wait to see if your team wins which its not often considering there’s probably thousands of teams. I have to say, im very disappointed at this game for their greediness.

Pay to play. After seeing this ad at least 1,000 times while playing other games, I gave up and decided to try it. At first I was pleased. No ads! And while the gameplay shown in the ads -- save the king from some awful fate in a short period of time -- is actually quite rare, as in 30 seconds once a day, some of the other puzzles were intriguing. But, after a couple of days you reach levels that aren't just challenging, they're impossible. Such as 171, that requires at least a dozen powerups to even have a chance at completing it. After blowing through most of the other puzzles rarely using any power ups at all, I hit 193, used every one of them, and after 250 tries deleted the game. It's a shame, they have a nice setup, but they lure you in for a bit and then make it clear it's just another Pay-to-play. I really wish these developers would just sell the game for a few bucks up front but I guess that model is dead. * edit Revised score from 3 stars to 1 after developer replied with a flat out lie that all levels can be beaten without boosters. This an unmitigated lie. Better to just ignore the less than favorable reviews than to lie to your customers — terrible PR decision, and whoever is handling these responses should be fired.

Royal Addict!. Love this game! I have been playing for less than a year. I am on level 1519! Total addict! I noticed when you are at a high level like I am and playing a weekly tournament I am mostly playing with other players that are at levels less than 400 so it is much easier for them to win than I. Other times with some at a much closer level with I find it more challenging and even won once! But there is just one that I don’t like. I have a strong faith in God and people in front of me who use God’s name in vain I am quick to tell them, “please don’t use God’s name in vain “ His name is only to be used in praise. That’s why it saddens me that the makers of Royal match who have used the actors from the show “suits” to do their on line commercials have chose to put the words, “Thank God” in it where it didn’t need to be put there. It’s using our, your God’s name in vain. It’s not the actor’s fault at all but it’s the script writer. I will always be a Royal addict but ask the writers to please REMOVE His name in their commercials.

No King’s Games like in the ads.. I enjoy this game and I’m at the highest level (except for the news ones just released today). I think it’s not great to only get a kings nightmare round every 100 levels. Then if you a complete all levels and go into arena you don’t get any at all. That’s no fun. Also, all the ones I’ve played are all repeats. Where are the ones with movable bridge and such that the ads show where you have to clear as the king is trying to cross or whatever. You should have those rounds more frequently and also they should not be repeated numerous times. I’ve yet to have a different one with as high as I am in this game. Probably had like 5 or 6 different puzzles. Saved him from the water and the balloon so many times. And let’s not talk about the cost of tokens to buy helps. I am all for supporting to keep it ad free and pay developers. But if you buy coin packages and such the cost of the items could be a little lower. Super high compared to other games of similarity.

I don’t understand the complaints. I’ve been playing this game pretty much since it came out our whole family plays it we’re in a team together every once in a while I get stuck on a level for a day but overall I can pass 100 levels in just two or three days I’m always going into Royal league because I passed the Levelz two quickly so I end up helping my kids pass their levels it’s good clean fun and you don’t have to spend money to play this game. Our whole family worked together just recently on team battle and we won first place everybody was excited about winning 6000 coins My suggestion for people who have a hard time playing take your time don’t just swipe to swipe thinking out each and every move and save your boosters and coins only use them when you absolutely have to if you just get on a level and you don’t pass it play it for a little while before you use any coins to help pass.

Started out great but then.... This game was amazing in the beginning. It gave bonus rounds which gave a good chance to obtain plenty of golden coins. Some stages were difficult, and you may use up all your hearts...so you had to wait or you could purchase more coins to continue. But either way you could eventually progress to the next puzzle. I loved it until around level 185. Then the puzzles became so difficult that you HAD to basically spend money to buy coins to keep going. The puzzles were so stacked against you that you would burn up all your turns and barely even begin obtaining the objective items. I’m all for in-app purchases. I know the devs don’t make games for no profit. But there should be SOME chance of passing a stage without making multiple gold coin purchases to pass ONE puzzle. Do the math and you could end up spending $20 dollars just to be able to pass ONE puzzle. And that’s where I refused to continue. The devs shots themselves in the foot...eventually people will just delete the game when they realize there’s no chance of progressing past any one stage without sinking multiple purchases per puzzle. Bye!!!!

A little too difficult at times. The game itself is great, and not loaded with ads, which is nice. The puzzles are fun to play, with neat new objectives being added as you progress. The only issue I have is the difficulty of some puzzles. The game runs pretty smoothly when you’re winning puzzles but once you lose just one time, you’re basically finished for a while. This leaves you with no power ups at the beginning of the puzzle when you try again, and makes the level more or less impossible to beat now that you’re left with nothing but sheer luck that the pieces happen to randomly fall in your favor, which could take days of non stop playing the level over, and over again. I feel like this could use rounded out a bit because once stuck like this, it makes the game so impossible to progress to the point I’ve almost deleted the game, and given up a few times. Kind of frustrating when you’re just left at the mercy of the randomness of the game. Not sure an exact fix but something improving this a little would definitely be nice.

Fun Also…. I love this game like the ad it really calms you down once in a while but once you keep playing the easier levels get harder then the hard one which does not make sense to me at all. One thing they said in their royalty match ad is that there is absolutely no ads which in not true but there is not that much ads as others where you get them between levels, or maybe sometimes when you receive a reward. Also a lot of people be getting greedy on this game which is bothering everyone that’s how I’m seeing it right now it’s interesting how it’s so advance and when you finish a level with that 30min tying and you finish it. It really is hard and not luck cause the easier levels say you lose 30min timer you lose like I said at the start it does not make sense I think everyone CNA at least agree a little bit I gave it a 4 star because overall the delays and the dislikes the game is still fun afteralll download this game and have no purchases in this game either that’s also why I like It.

Beware Its Shady. So I really like this game. It’s a step up in my mind over Candy Crush because of the variation in levels and the different goals you need to achieve to level up. The reason for two stars? Although the game is fun there is some shady happenings in the algorithm when you play the game and especially when you spend money. Honestly I’ve never spent money in a game before (although I’m not opposed to developers charging in moderation) but this game charges ALOT and then the coins disappear quicker than you actually spend. I once purchased 25,000 coins. I then bought 10,000 coins worth of power ups (etc) in the game but noticed I was then down to 12,000 coins in the game. At first I thought it was system error but it has happened too many times at this point. Another annoying thing that happens periodically is when you try to purchase coins, it seems super slow in the processing of the purchase and then the purchase fails on the game end (you have no coins) but goes through double on the credit card end. This has happened to me now three times. I’m done making excuses for system error. Fun game but it’s definitely shady.

Fun and different!. I honestly don’t have a lot of FUN games on my phone. So, I kept scrolling and scrolling through the App Store and I found a game called “royal match”. I’ve seen the ads on my phone pop up every time I would play a game. And these people saying that royal match has absolutely no ads. I was stunned by this. Think about it. A game with NO ADS. Not even ONE. So, I read the reviews and they were mostly either a four star or a five star. So, I decided to download it. Guys, pls trust me on this, royal match is the best game u will ever experience. Pls get this game. I can’t wait to see what else awaits for me in royal match. BUT… there is just ONE thing that can be fixed in the future. When u come back from completing the riddle , well, more like a pattern matching, idk. Like pick what kinda design there gets to be. And for me, that’s not unfair but like, more like… not the best let’s just say. That’s something u can work on. But , otherwise, pls download the game. This is the BEST! 😊😁😜🙂

Pretty Meh. So I have had this game for a few months now and play it pretty regularly. Some of my problems are that 1: the ads are not like the game. The ads show ways to save the king and that is sprinkled in every few levels. (Not very often.) 2: sometimes it feels like you’re on a win cycle. For example sometimes I’ll be zooming through, and other times it’ll take me days to complete it. And the thing is that if you spend you’re money in the game you go through the levels like never before, and gain many power ups and things to help you beat the level. 3: it takes 900 coins to gain 5 more moves ( which is WAY TOO MUCH in my opinion and might not help you beat it) and if you don’t get it in 5 then you have to spend 1900 for 5 more. And once you’re out of coins, and power-ups then it’s very hard to beat a level, especially when the levels get harder. But, if you use you’re own money ( which I never have or will) u blow through those levels and gain lots of money, powerups, free hearts, and more. I hope this helped!

Much better then expected. I rarely review games but after playing multiple different games like this one I can definitely say this one is the best mainly for features most games like this, like toon blast, don’t have. An example would be the bonus you get for consecutive wins on the first try. Most games I’ve played like this, If the next level is one that starts with only one available move or none at all, just a rocket to hit that starts the level, you don’t have room for those boosts to go anywhere even ones that you personally use your basically out of luck you can’t use them and it’s wasted. BUT with this game that is not the case. If there’s no room for the boosts you don’t lose them, they show up as soon as there’s room to put them. Small details I know but it’s a refreshing change. Definitely more fair play in this one then others. So hats off devs, other match games could learn from this

Fundamentally a good concept. I like Royal Match. I’m in the 1500s in terms of levels so clearly I’ve stuck with the game. All the other reviews are correct that the game is literally nothing like the ads where you have to “save the king”. I wish they would incorporate the king Into the game a bit more rather than have him passively watch from the top bar. What’s probably even more frustrating is the most recent update has a Sky Race. It’s super fun to have challenges like this against other players but the algorithm for the matchups is imbalanced. I have never purchased a “royal pass” yet am put against players who have and are at much higher levels than me (likely due to spending). I don’t care if you pay to play the game but put non-royal pass users against each other, otherwise they will stop being interested in the challenges. It does NOT incentivize me to buy the pass or pay money. Quite the opposite.

Rebel Teen vs King of Guilty Pleasures. I am not a Facebook mom who has at least 526 hours on Candy Crush. I’m still in high school. When I downloaded this game… I did not expect myself to be flung into the madness of Royal Match. It started by seeing some ads. Now I made the joke to my friends of downloading this game just to be a jerk and fail to help the king on purpose. Of course they told me to do it. Ladies and Gentlemen… The game is not exactly as advertised! I know… shocker. What do you expect? The sky is blue, 2+2=4, and mobile games have a tendency to be not as advertised. Now I expected to stop playing after I realized “this is not worth my time”. But long story short, I didn’t. In fact it consumed me. I would close my eyes and I could see THE LEVEL I WAS JUST PLAYING. All of a sudden I would play hours and hours despising the king’s stupid face and the fact that I was even playing it! What’s next, GARDENSCAPES? Anyways yeah new guilty pleasure game. I hate you and I love you developers. Anyways off to figure out how to complete level 175.

Not as it initially seemed. Paid a few times for the royal pass, only to have superior power up combos literally taken from me so I end up losing that level and can never get back to where I was bc I’ve lost all my lives behind that and haven’t earned more lives as a result of this scheme. I will make the combo, use the touchscreen to engage that combo and it will force the simpler move instead which gives a result thats way less successful. I don’t have this issue with other games. Also, there aren’t save the king levels- so stop advertising it. You may see one or two after literally almost 2k levels. The game can be incredibly fun when it isn’t cheating you, but ridiculous and frustrating most of the time which makes me lose interest and go play other games. 900 coins for 5more moves/5 lives, and 12$ for prizes you never get to enjoy bc of the scheme of cheating wins from you- ESP when you’ve paid- is trash/unethical business practice, and if this continues after I’ve used what I’ve paid for, for this thirty days, I’m deleting it. Fix it! And I want all my stolen lives and wins back 😠.

W Game!!!!!!!!!!!!. This game is so bad. I can’t believe all of the ads for this game. Your main point is that this game has no ads. We get it. I don’t need your ads anymore.! Not As Ad, Duh. I’m deleting this as of today but decided common courtesy dictates that I at least let the devs know why. I’ve yet had the opportunity to save the king whereas all of the limitless ads shown in other games shows many different ways to save the king and not this “Candy Crush” knockoff it still hasn’t given me the chance, so, here we are. I wouldn’t mind the match game so much if it at least gave me the chance occasionally to save the king but I’ve seen nothing and from a lot of other reviews on here I’m not alone. I had hoped that this would be the first game that didn’t use deceptive ads to get me to play but unfortunately it mirrors what seems to be the status quo. I don’t understand why game devs resort to this to get people to dl their games, stand by your game, be proud of it and not make people thinks it’s one thing when it is patently obvious it is not. It would have been nice to play the game I was misled into believing it was because it really looked to be a fun and playable game. I did per the devs response on other reviews dl the latest update my game is fully up to the current date and I have not once been given the chance to save the king or anything like it, it’s been nothing but a match game every single day. So with that being said, I’m deleting now.

Extremely enjoyable but…. This game is addicting. Its fun, creative, upbeat…..but very relaxing and addicting…….however, regardless of what is stated here or in the game play support, this is the most expensive game I have ever played. Mind you I play all types, am an adult and quite logical. It’s easy to spend 10, 20 bucks to get through a hard level, then only have two or three turns until you have to spend again to move on. You could spend several hundred dollars just for a few hours play!!!! I am currently level 830, I see people at 4700 level?? Seriously? The amount of game time/rewards you get when buying coins is eaten up way too fast. 900 coins to continue failed, fail again it goes to 2900, then 3900, etc….you will burn through coins like nothing. No way I will continue to play and pay these outrageous sums. My gameplay includes using the hints!!! Its like it’s programmed to use up your items fast. Until the DEVS radically change the cost to continue on a level, its just not worth it. Unless others are cheating somehow or their is a secret trick to playing and never using coins. I don’t see that as possible. Sad because I give it 10 stars for everything else.

Where is the levels from the ads. This game is just like any other match three game except for the fact that the levels that are shown in the advertisements are nonexistent in the actual game, the power ups cost so much in game currency that you were literally forced to purchase them and then if you do try to purchase them they are so overpriced for such little amount of time for said power ups. This game is just a money grab buy a bunch of greedy idiots. Unless you have very deep wallets and tons of disposable income, of which I work very hard for my money don’t know about the rest of you, then go ahead and buy your way through the game you’re still not gonna play any of the levels as advertised. I get that games and game developers are trying to make money with their games but come on you’re being ridiculous with how expensive and overpriced your stuff is lower the cost of in game currency values on your power ups or if you’re going to make people spend as much money as you’re asking to buy with real money the power ups and make them permanent or at least not an hour of power ups for five bucks stop being so greedy

Delete everything else. When it comes to games like this I try to give them a 100 level benefit of the doubt. I’ll play the game for up to 100 levels before I decide if it’s some thing that I deem worth my time or not. I downloaded the game after months of seeing the ads while playing other games. What really sold me was a cameo featuring actor Rick Hoffman, he detailed the gorgeous graphics and the fact that there were “zero ads“. I thought this could not be true. Lo and behold I have played the game for three days, I have not had a single ad, and on top of that there are no annoying tutorial levels! I mean come on games like this have been around for years, we all know how to swipe and match! I wish that there was a way that I could give this more than five stars, as I am absolutely in love with this game, so much so that I have deleted other games such as Gardenscapes, Candy Crush, Homescapes, Matchington, etc.
