Love the game but is anyone else ever on!?. I login multiple times daily and there is never anyone online to play with, so I’m constantly playing the AI which is frustratingly difficult even on the easy setting. I would give this a five star if 1. I could play with other people 2. The AI wasn’t so difficult and 3. If I had a chance to read what the cards said when the AI does things like play three actions and four minions and win a base right out from under me!

Great! 👍🏻 expansions?. This a smooth mobile version of our favorite board game! It helps you better understand SmashUp and is designed for quicker games. The graphics are just what you’d expect from the illustrators of SmashUp. Please add the expansion factions!!!

Fun. Fixed my previous review, it was an error on my part. I have some little issues with the game. Like if I switch from the game to say my text messages and back to the game it will reset some moves back. Which is frustrating if it was my turn and I have to remember what moves I had made before I exited out.

FINALLY!!...but.... So excited for this to come to mobile, but it’s missing a key feature! Choosing who you play in multiplayer NEEDS to be there! We need to be able to create a private lobby for online play and invite our friends. Whether it be through unique codes specific to each lobby or being able to add friends on the game in order to invite them. Unfortunately, I’ll have to prevent my friends from downloading this game until that feature exists since it’s the one thing we were all the most excited about. Despite all that, the game plays well. Please make “private lobbies” available, I believe in all you AEG guys!

Enjoyable, fun to play on the go. Game is fun and a pretty good digital transfer from tabletop. Only have 2 complaints, it’s hard to select individual cards (when prompted) and no undo button. However, these don’t ‘break’ the game for me. Easy and enjoyable, good job team! Bring out the expansions!!!

More expansions, please?. This is an incredible recreation of an already awesome card game, but it only has up to the first expansion! Just saying, guys, I’d happily pay for more of this, keep up the good work!

Like this game a lot but it has gotten way too easy. I play this game a lot. It is honestly the only app game I have played for a while. But... online play was too hard to sort out. I gave up. It has gotten too easy. I basically always win on the top setting. Add more expansions! I loathe the geeks but there are lots of other good ones. Also, Minor issue, but for whatever reason the stats don’t actually add up all the games. When I look at my stats it only shows me having played a small handful of games. And I have played tons of games. Doesn’t matter, but weird.

Smash up!. I was happy to see this game in the App Store, but hesitated to buy it based on the bad reviews about the UI design. I’ve got to say that this wasn’t an issue for me at all. I love the game, and it is easy to navigate it. Actually, it is much easier to set this up than the physical game, which is what usually keeps me from enjoying it often. The digital version is great, and I am definitely looking forward to playing it a lot.

Fun but not perfect.. This is a well built app, but it does have some flaws. For instance, unable to play cards when you should be able to, able to play cards when you shouldn’t be able to, some bases don’t do what they are supposed to after scoring etc. But once you get used to the app it is fun and plays faster than the actual game.

Awful. 1. Gameplay is horrendously slow. (30 minutes of gameplay and we had 5VP) 2. If you minimize the app you are replaced with a bot in an online game. 3. It would not allow me to use certain card effects on myself even though the card did not specify it had to be against another player. 4. The game completely ignored the base effect after it scored on the first base we scored. 5. The pre-loaded chat is stupid. Either add a real chat where you can type what you want or remove the chat feature. 6. The game does not allow for the creation of private games only public ones. 7. Online you cannot end your own turn but rather have to wait for the turn to end itself. This is one of my favorite board games but this app version leaves MUCH TO BE DESIRED!

Shows promise but still a weak beta. Far too many bugs for real release, dealing with problems with the UI and general playability takes you right out of the game. The ability to see what your opponent has done on any given turn is there, but maddeningly difficult to discern. Probably wasn't a problem for the developers who were intimate with every card, but for a newbie learning this game it is painful. Can't recommend this version hopefully the developers can spend some time watching absolutely new players try to use their software.

Not working properly. The app is unresponsive to my touch. I cant even start a game. When i did get it to work on my phone, i could not view the information written on the cards. So it was a game of dumb luck and not the strategy i so appreciate about the physical game. Really want to love this game, but its not working, feels like i wasted the money.

Good not great. I love Smash Up. The app is ok, but the UI is pretty annoying and difficult to use. It's hard to select cards, and you have to hold down each card in order to read it. Looking forward to improvements. Edit: Thank you for fixing the black screen glitch! +1 star :)

Awesome! Come and play!. This is awesome, I want the expansions. ASMODEE, please get the word out about this game and please fix the multiplayer to make it more easy to use from an iPhone so that we do not have to go onto your website to register. We hope for expansion packs and a streamlined multiplayer.

Bigger FONT option please. Good game. The stats are a nice touch that will keep me coming back to play. More games like this need to follow and add SOLO stats, wins/losses etc. The main problem with this game is the poor use of screen realestate. On iPad its probably great but on iPhone, the text is too small. The app should be able to upscale, display larger popups that make full use of the screen, with BIGGER FONTS. Waaaay too many iOS card games have this problem while the smarter apps detect and display easier to read, larger fonts.

Been Waiting For This. Obviously I love this game but the app has problems: Bugs! For example, People played all sorts of cards affecting my Brownie and were never punished for it. Team ups! The AI seems to be hell bent on destroying *me* even though I’m already in last place. Doesn’t make sense, and not fun. AI needs to be improved to calculate who’s winning, etc, not just beat down the real player at any cost. Interface! It’s hard to tell what other people play, so then you crack open the history box, and good luck if you’re not intimately familiar with the game.... I’m afraid this is where the death blow is to this app. Your opponent’s turns are just a big mystery and you’re left scratching your head wondering why you’re losing so bad. Makes the game not fun at all, newer players will not persist with this. When you play the real game, players announce and even explain their moves to everyone (often with a touch of pride) and that was a big part of the magic of the game, and it just doesn’t translate AT ALL to the app. Hopefully they can figure something out to improve it?

Great game!. Pretty good so far! I can’t wait for more expansions to be added. The cons: The AI is really tough, on easy it is like playing your buddy who knows everything about the game! Normal is crazy hard... I have lost every time out of 17 games. I would hard means impossible! The other bad thing is that there are no take undo button. Like say I play a card in the wrong base, it is now stuck there. Not a huge deal until your kids or dog jumps in your lap, and now your strategy crumbles. But over all a really great game with boundless potential!!!

Lots of potential poor execution. Thisgame has potential to be great , but lacks decent multiplayer support.(pretty sure they shut the servers done) No Game Center support means its impossible to play with friends. There is no matching making function and the most people I’ve seen online at a time is 3. I still play the AI every once in awhile but at some point that’s going to get old with no new decks or better online support on the horizon

Great game to play when killing time. The latest update fixed all the previous bugs that I was having issues with. I would now recommend the game if you enjoy board games or card games.

Buggy. Nothing like a computer controlled creature moving back and forth between two bases forever to sour a gaming experience. Controlling other players creatures is also a risk as they often return if anything complex happens like a base move. Seems like they have so many bugs to fix they aren’t doing any expansions.

Smashing Good Time. I enjoy the game quite a bit. With being able to play a bunch it helps work on strategies for real life, and finding good factions that fit together. I hope we get more expansions soon. With the limited amount, it can get old only having relatively few to choose from. I want to be able to try more combos, too. Also, the game does still glitch on occasion so you need to quit the game and start a new one in order for it to work again. That can be frustrating, especially when you just pulled off an epic move.

Great game, but gets some things wrong. Did the app designers even read the rules? Jammed Signal works improperly wth Cool Cat Alley. It should make all players ignore the bases ability. Including the player who played it. Magic Ward is supposed to prevent actions being played on a base and on minions on that base. This app interprets that as minions can't be played on the base, which is incorrect. Ornate Dome shouldn't block Invisible Bicycle or You're Pretty Much Borscht but it does in this app. Glymmer has the ability to lower a minion's power -4 until the start of the player's next turn. Sometimes, the -4 stays in effect several turns later, including long after Glymmer and the target minion are in the discard pile. If a player has the ability to retreive cards from the discard pile (like the Zombie faction) the retreived card will sometimes come back into play with -4 power. This seems more like a bug than a rules oversight. This isn't the end of the broken rules, I'm just tired of listing them.

Solid, but a couple suggestions. Love the game. A fantastic card game, carries over well to mobile. There are a lot of complexities to this game & devs did a good job making the UI pretty decent for all of the options you have. Although sometimes the game pauses expecting me to do something, but it’s not clear (unless I know the cards really well) what action I should be taking. Suggestions: 1. Add the other expansion packs. Would happily pay another .99 for more factions 2. My stats are all jacked up, please fix the stats section. 3. More of an indicator when a special is available or forced move is required what you actually need to be doing. 4. Fix some glitchy interactions. 2nd game I played I had to abandon. CPU was using Steampunks and had 2 bases with a talent to move a minion. The AI got stuck in a loop just moving one of his minions back & forth over & over & over. Had to quit & start a new game. Otherwise well done putting a complicated card game to mobile.

A Limited Implementation With Bugs. Currently the online play (March 6&7) is unavailable because of server issues. Besides that, it’s a limited implementation of a good game. When it works, it’s a lot of fun, but the developer didn’t do a good job implementing features which would help with the errors. The game freezes about once every ten games and won’t let you back in. It will boot you and let a bot finish the game. There should be a re-join feature. The game should also have a pause button that allows you to re-start the same game with a friend. The game needs all the factions, or at least some new packs. Finally the UI could use work. The cards are too small on a phone, and sometimes viewing a card causes an accidental choice. In addition, whenever another player plays an action, the opponent cannot easily read it. I would suggest showing the whole card over the playfield for a few seconds or showing the entirety of the card text in the space between the bases.

Promising but Riddled w Bugs. This app has the potential to better than the (analog) card game, because of the digital tallying of base points. However, the app freezes often — I’d estimate 20% of all my games played involve a freeze, sometimes recoverable with a quick restart, sometimes not. It reminds me of some of the Magic the Gathering apps, which were/are tremendously buggy. In the cases of both Smash Up and Magic, it’s odd that such established franchises would release half-baked products. 3-Star apps that could easily become 5-star, if developers got their acts together and fixed performance issues. Also, this game has just 8 factions, which is a small portion of those available, so I hope that in the future — after they fix their performance issues — they will introduce expansions.

Support not responsive. While the Smash Up game is fun, I have had issues for several weeks with connecting to the online server. I emailed support and only got a reply asking what my iOS was. After I replied, I received no further response. When I followed up a week later, still no response. Disappointing experience, especially since this is a game I paid for. Would not purchase again.

Needs expansion packs. The game gets old quick without them I have the expansions in real life wish they would put them in the app.

Fun But Difficult. I like the Smash Up card game, and am thrilled to be able to play it online. However, the game crashes frequently causing me to have to reboot my iPad to play again. Also, the interface for choosing the cards is super hard to use. I often select the wrong card, and there's no undo to fix it.

How can I play w/ friends?. How could this not be supported? Look at Exploding Kittens. SmashUp NEEDS offline multiplayer support and online multiplayer support w/ friends. I assumed I’d be able to play with my kids. Very disappointed at the backward mentality of their online “service” that tries to remake the wheel instead of modernizing the entire experience. Why can’t we use Game Center to connect with friends? Why do I need yet another online account to play ur game?

Want more. Ok so for starters easy isn’t as easy as you’d expect. I like that because you still need to think unlike most apps. Now the down side you’ve buy the base game but the computer still uses cards you don’t have accesses to. Took me by surprise but it wasn’t long till I paid the extra buck or two for the extra cards. Though I own this game and like to play with certain cards so when I went to look to that expansion I found you only have base and one expansion that it. They have a bunch of different. Expansion out there and only two on the app. I want more. It smash up has been playing catch up for to long and when they finally got an app they didn’t put all that were out at the time on the app doesn’t take long doesn’t cost much. So stop being cheap and update your app

Changes need to be made. The interface needs an overhaul. Expanding your hand so all cards can be both seen and easily picked would be nice. Easily seeing what's on a base would be nice too. Finally, I think an undo button would be a great addition (disabled when a card would be drawn, etc). FIXED: While it's not necessary, I would want to disable the ability for users/ai to choose the same faction. Oh and to reviewers who are saying how great it is and the rest of us are whiners, we aren't saying it's completely unplayable. We're saying we want it to be more easily played so it's not as frustrating to play...it's supposed to be fun, remember?

Stick to the cards..... The game is fun. Easy to interact with. Super buggy. Freezes randomly during the CPU turns. Sometimes kicks back in, sometimes not. The price point is obnoxious. I own every expansion for the cards....why do I have to pay for the app? If anyone is looking for a recommendation, save your money.

Fairly good but UI need improvement. The gameplay is good and not buggy ( I did not try to play online yet) But UI needs improvement: - AI play most of the time very fast to catch, adding a replay button is very handy with step by step button (change proceed button to On instead of Smart) - They bases card area is too big and a lot of space is wasted. My cards can be bigger by saving some space from there. - colored frames on minion and action cards to indicate which card belongs to which player are not visible, probably because of cards size if very small or color frame is too thin - Preview the match should have a skip button to skip the current play in the review to speed up, also a play bar so I can move it forward or backward. and pause button to be able to read some card text when needed Updates:(4 stars) I found out that some of requested changed can be done from game settings (I added how to do)

More expansions!!!!!. I was pleasantly surprised today to see that the Level 9000 expansion has been added and is available for purchase! Now give us more! I will gladly, willingly, totally pay for more more more! Bring it on!

This could be so much better. I am a huge fan of the actual card game. But this digital interface is terrible. The buttons are SO hard to hit it makes playing the game alone bad. When the AI plays cards unless you know what they are and what they do you might not know what is going on. Some action cards disappear so quick you don’t have a chance to look at them. I really thought they were going to address these things in the updates but it hasn’t gotten better. This is not a game I look forward to trying to play. It isn’t fun it’s frustrating.

Really fun when it’s working, but online play is down.. I messaged Nomad support, as the online servers seem to be down. In the past this has led to them fixing the issue, but not this time. No reply, and it’s been nearly a month. You can still play against the AI opponents, but I wouldn’t recommend buying this app until the issue is resolved. Perhaps Nomad is no longer supporting this game? That would be a shame.

Online doesn’t work. I got the physical version of the game for Christmas and was really enjoying it until my brother left for college and I had no one to play it with anymore. We decided to get the game online so we could play together, but it seems the online servers aren’t even supported anymore. It defeats the whole purpose of buying it and I really wish they had it listed properly that online doesn’t work. Unless they somehow return to supporting the servers I won’t ever use this app. Biggest waste of $2 ever. I would get a refund if I could.

Digital game needs work. I love smash up and I’ve owned the physical game for a long time and have had the digital version for a little while now. The AI cheats at times. Like certain cards you play have no effect. I’ve made sure to watch several times to ensure it’s not me and I’ve confirmed the AI negates certain actions. It’s a shame because a single card can make all the difference and when the AI can just go around your actions it puts a damper on the whole game. I still enjoy the digital version as it lets me play when I can’t find real people to play with but just be warned about the AI.

People?. Okay i just got the game, everything works fine except for the fact no one play 😅 so yeah! Would love if more people joined! Its a well made game just need more people 😭 There are however some game glitches i hope will be fixed in the coming updates, suggest adding friends list and more people playing dammit!!!😭😭

Still no invite system?. The fact that this game still has no invite system to play with friends is a travesty. This is a feature in almost every multiplayer board game, but your only options here are to open a game to strangers or join a game with strangers. 5 stars when this basic feature is added. In the meantime, I say don’t buy until the game gets a proper update.

Good foundation, but could easily be better. This game captures alot of the key aspects of smash up. The game is very easy to learn. I've oy encountered a couple if bugs so far, but its been fine so far. Decks like 'killer plants' where you have to do alot f deck searching and reshuffling run so smooth in this app. It saves alot of time that would normally be lost in the normal rl game. My only real concern is the audio. I'm just going to be honest, its terrible. Half the sound effects sound like a radio bugging out. The music is very simple and gets really old really quick. Plus only 2 expansions are out rn. Making the game really dull compared to the rl one. Overall I think this a goodbase, but needs much improvement.

UI so bad. No drag and drop... you know you are on ios right? The scrolling mechanism to look through cards is horrible.... please improve and I will play and update review.

Better, but still some major problems. Downloaded again after first disappointing try. AI still uses the same flood one base to break strategy. Also, Problems with special event cards like zombie lord ( no option to place minions on unoccupied bases, Rhodes Bally mall base gives NO victory points when breaks) ai Can use packs you haven’t bought. Still needs work. Get on it. Oh and no contact support feature.

Professionally designed - AI cheats. Love Smash Up. It’s one of my favorite tabletop games. The app has nice presentation and works fine (for the most part). Not worth playing on higher difficulties because the AI very clearly cheats. I played a game against Princess’s where I destroyed Sleeping Beauty forcing her to be shuffled into the deck only for the AI to play her the very next turn. Card draws happen at the end of the turn, the AI player didn’t play anything to draw cards, simply mysteriously had a ‘one of’ card in hand that should have been in the deck. Played an entire game with Geeks/Mythic Horses where all my actions were top decked and then I played through minions, reshuffled the deck only to have all my actions top decked again. Having that happen once could be attributed to chance, twice in one game is infinitesimal. AI used Geeks to move one of my actions (Hissy Fit) from one base to another base then the game treated that card as though it belonged to the AI player, which isn’t how the Geeks card works. I thought maybe it was just programmed incorrectly but then I made the same play during a game and the card worked as intended. Then I started noticing how often card interactions working incorrectly almost always benefit the AI player. Programmers should legit be ashamed of themselves.

Smash up rules!. Be careful though. When you play the AI they don’t miss a beat so you gotta pay attention to all the specials. It’s a little harder to read that the regular card game. It’s nice to be able to mess around and play when ever though.

Bad User Interface. When I play the Ascension app, I can see all the cards in my hand and read them Wonderful interface. Unfortunately the same can not be said here. With all the screen interface they had to use, I don't understand why the cards are stuffed on top of each other at the bottom of the screen. You don't know what a card does without selecting it. This drastically slows the game down. They didn't have to invent an interface, they just had to look at how other games do it and do it well. I really hope this gets fixed. This is a solid game but the current interface will turn off new players.

Wait awhile until they get the kinks out of this one. Buggy. The app is currently stuck on “After this base score, the winner looks at the top three cards of the base deck...” I’ve tapped everything on the screen, but nothing happens. Also, the horizontal ticker and vertical text scrolling on cards is really annoying. There’s no reason the text size can’t be adjusted to fit the size allotted for it. Lastly, it is difficult to select a card to play from your hand. I have to move my finger back and forth by millimeters to try and get the correct card highlighted. Frequently it skips from the card just before to the card just after.

Very buggy. I love this game and was so excited to see the digital version. After getting this app though, I was sorely disappointed. The cards don’t play correctly and sometimes it doesn’t allow me to do things I’m supposed to be able to do. Also, it is a power hog. I had my phone plugged in and the next thing I know I have warning for 10% battery power. SmashUp was the only app I had open. Please fix these problems.

SmashUp is amazing!. This is one of the best games I’ve ever played and the app version does the card game justice! Occasionally the game will start to have an issue and I’ll have to close the app and start a new game, but it’s not a major issue. My only request is please add more of the expansion packs to the game! I want to have more factions to play with.

The best game ever needs some improvements!. Smash Up is such a good game… Please add ALL the factions!! Gameplay can be smoother and faster as well. Needs lots of love and attention because this could introduce more people to this amazing game. Don’t give up on it devs! I went with 5 stars cuz it’s smash up. It’s that good. 4 is more accurate. 3 if in 6 months you guys don’t try here…

Solid but.... Not compatible with my iPad mini even though it only needs ios8? Seems odd....

Waste. Bought it. No active players each time I’ve searched online so therefore no way to play it. $8 for nothing.

Needs Expansions. Great game, would be even better with expansions though. Considering the Table Top games has quite a few expansions, why not incorporate them in this game. Would easily give 5/5 if done

is there a way you could use factions that you have irl?. I have the Obligatory Cthulhu and Awesome level 9000 expansions and if there was a way to use the AL9000 in the app because of having bought it irl that would be good, otherwise, pretty good.

Very buggy and glitchy. First of all, opening the game takes at least 10 tries each time, only to lead to more bugs and glitches in the game. I love Smash Up, but this is far too hard to play.

Update fixes bug.. Recent update fixes an issue with online play. Smash Up is a good game and worth a look. Thank you for the update.

Expensive and outdated?. Not sure if developers still plan on updating this game but for $7.99 there’s not much content. There’s basically no one for online play and the game doesn’t even cover the screen of an iPhone 8.

Online play has been down for months. They charge for the game which is supposed to be playable with people but they kill the servers.

Just like the board game. It’s the classic board game on mobile and one of the best card game on the App Store. It has very high replay value though I would like to see more expansion because the low diversity can seem a little stale at times; but another 8 or so factions would really help keep the gameplay spicy

Any other extensions coming up?. Awesome game. I love it. I was just wondering of there were any other extension packs coming up soon.

À quelques bugs d’une bonne application. L’application fonctionne habituellement très bien. Si l’utilisateur est un joueur amateur, les fonctionnalités du jeu lui conviendront très bien. Cependant, plusieurs bugs occasionnelles surviennent et rendent le jeu beaucoup moins intéressant. Par exemple, le jeu arrête complètement de fonctionner. Le joueur virtuel arrête complètement de jouer. Il y a aussi quelques cartes en anglais qui n’ont pas la même traduction que sur les cartes du jeu réelles. Aussi, il n’y a qu’une seule extension de sortie alors qu’il y en a plus d’une dizaine dans le jeu réel. Je crois que le jeu manque un peu d’amour de la part des créateurs de l’application, mais j’arrive tout de même à tester différents combos que je n’aurais pas eu la chance de faire avec le jeu sur table.

Finally!!!. Finally here, and UI is solid and there is no crash for me. Now please put all the factions!

No Support For iPhone Plus Screen Size. What? No support for iphone plus screen size? Is this a joke? I feel like I am playing on my old iPhone 5... I do not recommend this game because of that

Bon, mais peut être amélioré. Très bon jeu, enfin sur iPad! Mais l'adaptation peut être améliorée. Souvent, je n'arrive même pas à démarrer l'appli: ça reste sur un écran noir, la seule possibilité pour ouvrir l'appli étant de redémarrer le iPad. L'adaptation électronique du jeu laisse à désirer: Difficile de sélectionner les cartes. Même si je sais jouer à Smash Up, ce qu'on doit faire pour jouer les cartes ou autres actions n'est pas toujours intuitif dans l'appli. Une des choses les plus agaçantes est le texte qui défile sur les cartes. Souvent on n'a même pas le temps de le lire. Pourquoi ne pas mettre le texte un peu plus petit, pour que ça rentre? En général, je trouve que les choses bougent trop dans l'appli, à un point que c'est étourdissant. Par exemple, je ne vois pas le besoin de l'animation à chaque sélection de choix de menus.

Ne fonctionne pas. Je pourrais reprendre les mêmes commentaires que le précédent du 22 octobre dernier! Tuto ne fonctionne pas! Certaines touches ne marchent pas, alors que dans les autres applis mon ecran tactile fonctionne très bien. C’est malencontreux! Après 10 minutes j’ai désinstallé le tout. Un 7$ très mal investit!

Great game but frustrated. Love playing this game but lately I can’t finish one. The ai just kinda stops working sometimes, and I get stuck on a game board that says “x is going to take a turn.” Please fix when you guys get the chance. Also, would you ever consider adding expansion packs? Would love to see some magical girls or teddy bears or cats.

Needs work. The game occasionally fails to start, on both iPhone and iPad. All I get is a black screen. When it does start, the graphics are great, but the UI is sometimes clunky. As has been mentioned in other reviews, selecting cards from your hand is a pain, even when playing on the bigger screen of an iPad. It's disappointing that only the 8 base game factions (plus the Geeks) are available. The Games Played tally on the Stats page includes games that you haven't finished. For example, if you start a new local game, but quit before selecting your factions, the Games Played tally is still incremented by 1. I would expect the Games Played tally to only include completed games. I also noticed a number of typos in-game and in the achievements. For $6.99, and coming from Asmodee Digital, I expected a better tested app with more features.

Needs work. The game itself is fun enough. I'm not having the issue of it crashing. I do, however, hate trying to select cards from your hand and the middle. This was either not play tested, or the developer didn't care to fix a problem that I can't see not having come up in testing. I hope this gets fixed because it could be a lot of fun.

Wonderful game, absolutely love it!. Plays good most of the time and always a great experience. I have honestly learned a lot from the digital version in the way of rules or how certain cards are played from the physical version. It’s one of my favourite offline games to play, I find just selecting the random faction button for yourself and the Ai really make for a unique experience. It makes you think outside of the box and test your ability with all the factions and find combos that you would probably never thought would work well with each other. All and all it’s a wonderful game, with that said it does have a few bugs with a couple of the cards from time to time (can’t remember which ones at the moment) and the game will get stuck with it saying player ______ is taking its turn but does nothing. I found killing the game completely than rebooting it fixed the issue in my experience. I also noticed as of 16/09/18 that I am unable to purchase the awesomeness 9000 DLC for some reason. Hopefully that will be resolved soon and I hope to see more DLC in the near future.

Don’t waste your money. The interface is terrible. Trying to see what a card does will often play the card. Trying to select a single card from a large stack is frustrating at best. I regret buying this whole heartedly.

Keeps crashing. The game is super nice but it keeps crashing for no reasons… would be nice to have an update on this game. It’s really cool nonetheless

Booted. Game is ended mid game and booted back to lobby. Get that fixed and would be ok!

Kicking sand. This game made me kick sand in my best friends eyes. I recommended this game to play online with him but crash after crash after garbage stupid dumb poo game later all we have is sadness and sandy eyes. I have betrayed him and will never be the same. Thanks smash up. Peace out gamers

Better, but still buggy. App has improved over time with patches, although some cards, such as Infiltrate, don’t seem to work the way they should. I was very much looking forward for new expansions, but for some reason I am unable to purchase the new Awesome Level 9000 expansion.

Sad. Gave it 2⭐️ because I know this is a tough game on AI with all the card interactions, but otherwise, this is it a sad and disappointing port. The art style (besides the cards) is rudimentary, the music annoying, and the interface is clearly not intended to be used on a touch screen. Also, some of the cards don't appear to work properly. Mass Enchantment, for instance, offers no obvious way to skip to the next action. Stay away from this one until they redesign the interaction... unless you want to give the devs money in hopes they will fix it. Also, I understand wanting to start with the base eight decks, but why include Geeks? I would have much preferred any of the Awesome Level 9000 factions. Suggestions: - let me see the cards so I don't have to hover over everything - implement drag and drop - let bots have different difficulty levels - let me choose if the same factions can be reused - we deserve a free expansion after this weak initial offering

Improved with the update. After few initial tests I can say the update has improved my experience with hand management, so I'll give credit where credit is due. Also nice to see an option has been added to not allow duplicates of a faction between you and your opponents.

Very nice. No crash at all, ok it's small on the iPhone but i prefer to play on my phone than on my PC I want expansion !!!

More! More!. I love this game. I own it all! And I keep getting more packs as they are launched.... now if you could update the app to have as many of the packs..... it would be great to practice with new decks to learn the mechanics better

Can’t get UI to work - Low Res Cards. Why did Apple just feature this game? I feel ripped off. I can’t select a card as described in the tutorial or play the game. It’s clear that the graphics were designed for smaller screens. Playing this on the large screen iPad reveals the cards to be highly pixelated. Poor.

Love Smash Up. I wish there were all the factions to choose from. And sometimes you can’t use the bases abilities but besides thoughts two things great game

Iphone X. Where is the iphone X compatibility..i want it to be full screen! So many other random bugs and such small text. Hard to scroll through cars sometimes

Many cards don't work right. I light the physical game, and looked forward to a app that would speed up play. Sadly, this app is garbage. The interface is clumsy and many of the cards d not function correctly. Sloppy.

Incompatible device?. Don’t know if it’s good or not, it won’t run on my relatively new iPad which is running the latest IOS. It installed, but when I try to run it all I get is a little box that says “Incompatible Device”. Pretty useless.

Fun, but.... I enjoyed playing this game but found the app very frustrating. 1. Most buttons do not respond right away, if at all. 2. Playing local only allows play against one AI (maybe related to the button issue) and other settings won’t change. 3. Cards available or legal to play should be highlighted better. It is sometimes hard to tell which cards are playable.

Great Game. One glitch I have noticed is “make contact” suddenly stops working and the original owner regains control of their minion.

Good first version but. It is nearly impossible to select a card when you have a full hand. I appreciate what they’re trying to do, but I cannot select individual cards with any ease at all. Additionally, this badly needs an undo button. Looking forward to more updates. Thanks!

Great game...expansions please. This is a great game! It plays well and quickly. I have the card game with many expansions. I miss using princesses, kittens and level 9000 cards in the app though. Some promos like sheep would be fun too. 4 stars for the base pack. 5 if I had expansions. Thank you for a great entertaining game.

Good adaptation, but.... I wish the app lets you confirm a choice. There are so many times when I just want inspect a card and it just chooses it for me.

Fun but need iPhone X support!. Love this game! It’s definitely easier to play on the iPad. It would be awesome to have full iPhone X and iPad Pro support and more expansions!

Buggy. Great game and great digital version. Only problem is it is very buggy. Makes an illegal move almost once per game, and on my stats it still says I’ve only won once when I’ve won at least 5 times now.

It's fine. Meet my fix for the game on the go. Not a substitute for the actual game. It probably needs a few more updates but it's worth the money. Now if only my phones battery actually lasted.

Fun, but clunky. SmashUp is a good game, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired in this case. Buttons are very small on a phone, the layout is complicated, and it is hard to feel engaged in the gameplay. All in all it is hard to enjoy this game because the presentation is lacking.

2 stars because I cannot create an account. My friend and I bought this game and it is a decent enough representation of the board game but if neither of us can create an account it severely limits the use of the product.

Cards often don’t work. I’m an avid player and is honestly makes me mad because of how the cards are buggy. They often don’t work correctly particularly with the ghosts faction.

Love smash up, hate this app. I have an iPhone 6. In the tutorial (YOU CANT SKIP IT! For some stupid reason) the app keeps getting stuck I paid $4.99, I just want to play the game. So far, I haven’t gotten past the tutorial, with is slow and poorly designed. The interface is clunky and poorly designed. I’m very unhappy with the game.

Should be asynchronous. App games work best asynchronously. If you’re going to all be playing at the same time you might as well do it in person

So frustrating. This app is not ready for prime time. UI decisions make no sense and it is very buggy. I am currently unable to finish a game as it is stuck in ‘choose a base’ mode, the options disappeared and there is nothing to press. So much for asmodee digital.

Finally, I can play SmashUp! when my friends are busy!. Unfortunately, only the Awesome Level 9000 expansion is available. When will some of the more recent packs get into the store? I’d love to use some new factions.

2s vs 5s. On easy local, my hand is full of twos were my opponents are continually playing 4s and 5s?! I’ve played 25 consecutive games were this is the case. No matter the faction, no matter how many players.

Tutorial was so boring. I never played this game but figured I could learn it since I learned other board games that way. This tutorial was SO BORING. I just couldn’t get into it. I’m going to keep trying to learn this game and if I figure it out maybe I’ll raise the score. Glad I played this though before buying the physical copy.

Bad Expansion. They released the Awesome Level 9000 expansion the other day but you can't download it from the "Smash Up Store." You press the "Buy Now" button and it does nothing. Abject incompetence.

Smash up. Great Game but i can’t buy the dlc! Ingame Store „buy” button dose not work.

Terrible AI. Not enjoyable. Wasted my money. The AI is ruthless, even on easy. I win only 10% of the time. This app isn’t fun. I wish I had a refund. :( Unless you plan on doing local play, save your money and don’t buy it.

Servers offline. Can’t connect to Smash Up servers, only single player works right now, so I give two stars.

Try again please. As we all know, it’s a great card game. But the app’s UI is just wrong. In the name of all that is good, toss it in the trash and start over. The world will be a better place for your efforts.

Cannot purchase new expansion. Love Smash Up to death, but I cannot click on the “buy now” button in game to purchase the new 9000 expansion. I’ve tried up multiple devices with no luck. Any fix?

Love the card game, app is only OK. I own most of the Smash-up sets. The app is OK. The major issue is that there are only nine factions available (the original 8 plus geeks). The game isn’t that replayable with only nine factions.

Does not work on 2015 model iPad Pro.. "Invalid device. This app is not compatible with this device." Tried to get a refund but Apple said "Sorry, no refund for you." How lovely! My os is upgraded to the latest. Maybe it is an os issue and not a device issue? Whatever.

Good game, Bad app. Horrible UI. Cards are pointlessly small and hard to see. Way too much wasted space. The paper game is fun, but the app isn’t worth the money.
