Needs some improvement. I’m a driver for the app. I’m constantly dealing with the app freezing on me. Which causes me to lose time on my deliveries and me having to restart my app. You need to reconfigure when a new order pops up. I don’t like when I’m literally about to turn onto a customers road and a new delivery pops up. It’s frustrating! I’ve also had issues where I’ll take a picture of an order that’s a leave at door order and I’ll hit the sun it button and walk away only to have my app mess up on me and lose the picture and my customer already start taking there order in. But then my customer will call in and say I never delivered there order. Totally unfair to me because it reflects bad on my record and this has happened 4 or 5 times to me so far. I’ve called in and spoke about it. But it’s still happening. Now I have to call in as soon as It happens so it doesn’t affect my record. And now we have to worry about an acceptance rate and cancellation rate in order to stay current on the app. The acceptance rate is a joke because here in NJ these orders I’m going to say atleast in the Burlington county area where I drive are crapy a good 75 to 80% of them are $2.50 to $5 orders and that barely puts gas in my car to do this let alone keep up on my car maintenance to do this. This is my main source of income right now. So you have to step up your game Uber. This is a main source of income for a lot of single parents.
Uber faults. I worked for Uber all last year. And at first I thought they were a great company. I loved how they put my safety before anything. It was good money etc. but then people started scamming. Now I’m a female who worked my but off and would actually work in bad neighborhoods because that’s where the money was. But as you can finally see because it’s finally coming to the light for everyone to see how people scam. They would get the food delivered but yet they would call and say theu never received it and I got penalized and lost my job with Uber. I messed up and wouldn’t take pictures or get the codes just by pass it which was a huge mistake on my end but it’s not fair this is my income so I can support myself and kids. Now it’s finally coming to the light for everyone to see how people scam. I would work all hours through the night in some really bad neighborhoods just so I can make money and keep a roof over my head. They didn’t want to hear anything I had to say. Just took the customers word for it even though they had my gps and saw that I went to the address and all. Didn’t matter. People who scam don’t think about how it affects others all because they want a free meal. Very sad. Think twice before working for them. At least door dash has my back at all times.
Accomplishes the minimum. After driving for UberEats for several months I can say the driver app does the minimum of what it needs to do to connect you with deliveries. However, the constant glitching of many key features can be incredibly frustrating. The map’s GPS software is sluggish and often thinks roads exist where they don’t, or subdivides straight, continuous roadways in ways that create confusing delays in providing directions. At the time of this review, the tip notification system is totally haywire and sends at least two notifications per tip, often more and at random times. The weekly and daily earnings pages frequently fail to load, especially the expanded trip summary pages. If one trip summary can be accessed, it sometimes seems to keep all the subsequent ones from loading properly. The messaging feature used to constantly cut out in the middle of typing, which made it difficult to keep in touch with customers and insanely annoying experiences retyping the same thing 5+ times (this seems like it may have been fixed by the most recent update, but time will tell). The help section of the app is unavailable while on an active delivery, which makes it the most difficult to contact support precisely when it might be most urgent to do so. Overall, the app accomplishes the necessary basic functions, but the user experience is frequently unpleasant.
Uber Ex driver. I only worked three days for Uber. The first day I had congratulation. Second day no problem. The third days I was tired and two times I missed the exit on the highway, the customer told me no wiry take the next exit. In result of such detour I may drive one or two miles more to reach the destination. Another customer asked me do not follow the Uber direction because he knows very well the area. I did what the customer wanted. Suddenly my account was deactivated by Uber, accusing me doing FRAUD…! I have Mazda CX9 that use lots of gas. What interest I could have to make a detour to bring a customer to his destination ? As I remember I never had Queen of England as customer. The very ordinary people that I had as Uber customers could complain to spend 2 minutes more in my car ? When especially they pay a ridiculous cheap amount for a long distance ? A mistake of a driver in the third days of work should be dressed by a warning, not kicking out a person who went through car inspection and background check. Most all how an employee could qualify me as a person who did FRAUD ? How much was my earning or benefit by doing such FRAUD. Naturally I was victim a Moron’s decision who didn’t want to confess the real reason to kick me out after 3 days good work !
Alan. The app has improved a lot over the years however accepting reservations is far from reliable. Numerous times I have accepted reservations and while on my way to do the pickup I keep getting requests and even when trying accept trips in direction of pickup the app doesn’t process the accepted trip. Worse yet they count the trip not provided against my acceptance rate which could hurt my rating. On 2 different occasions I had 6-8 trip request sent and counted against me lowering my acceptance rate by 6% taking me from 98% down to 92%. Also on my way to pickup reservations the trip drops off and I have lost the trip also losing money, time and gas. The last trip my screen told me finding trips instead of giving me the navigation route as if the trip never existed. I had also turned on Waze and that got me to my destination and I picked up the customer and only then did the Uber app begin working again showing me I still had the trip. So again these problems and the lowering of my acceptance rating has made me hesitant to accept further reservations going forward. Customer service was useless when I relayed the problem and said they would note my account but never corrected my acceptance rating which is very disappointing. Again the app has vastly improved but the reservation component doesn’t work well at all.
Navigator. Hello, this review is very important, I would like to address to the team of developers who are engaged in navigation and maps, one of the important tools for cab drivers is maps and navigation to quickly find passengers and as quickly deliver them to the specified place. Friends, please improve the navigator in the Uber Driver app, the maps are very compressed and there is no comparison of the image on the map and in reality before the turn, for example: when I'm driving and I need to soon make a left or right turn or take an exit, the map shows that the turn will be visually after 0.2 miles approximately, but in fact to go another 0.4 miles, then when you zoom in the map increases, but still it is not in the real distance! Yes, you write on the additional screen that the turn will be after 0,2 miles, but sometimes there are several turns and we can turn to the wrong turn. You need to redesign the maps so that the distance on the route is displayed with the real distance, not compressed, look how Google navigator, Apple navigator or Yandex navigator work, they are very comfortable to drive with. Make the maps not zoom in when we approach a corner, but always! And make the zoom magnification bigger! Please! You need to update your navigator!
Good money making ability - terrible support team.. I’ve been delivering with Uber since October 2021 and I would like to say that you can make fairly decent money if you prioritize delivering throughout your day. However there are three large issues with the app the main one of these being if you’re only delivering on the Uber eats and you will not receive your surges I’ve probably lost out on more than 1000+ dollars simply by not receiving my search funding. Other than that if you were to do you deliver for another app such as lift for shipt and you are online with Uber but not currently doing a delivery, Uber will track the driving time that you do for the other company towards your overall 12 hour driving limit. this has recently caused me to have to go off-line early and miss out on money that I really needed it to pay bills. My final issue is that when you call customer support even if you have diamond priority support you will get redirected to an overseas customer service agent who will provide you with canned responses to your very specific individual needs, and most of the time when you call support, your problem will not be resolved and it just ends up being a waste of time. So all in all if you just need money Uber is a great way to do it but if you’re not careful you will not get us paid as much as you should be.
Needs work. I’ve been doing Uber eats trips for a couple of months now and my biggest problems with this app are as follows. 1.) The GPS leaves a lot to be desired. Not only are locations completely inaccurate but when the app asks you if the correct location is accurate it doesn’t update. It constantly tries to have me perform dangerous maneuvers to get to a specific place when it should know that making a u-turn when it could have told me to make a right or a left a block before to be able to make a safe turn. And the repeated voice prompts are completely annoying. I don’t need to be told 4 or 5 times back to back to head to my pick up or the like. 2.) While I appreciate the system trying to give me the opportunity to stay busy, it is completely unreasonable to be bombarded with trip requests when I’m trying to see where I need to pull over or make a turn as I’m approaching my destination. It is also annoying to be sent requests as I’m trying to take a photo or put in a delivery pin and inadvertently accepting a request I have no idea about and then having my trip requests paused because I cancel the request I had no intention of accepting. Sending these requests after the current delivery is completed would be the best in my opinion. I’m sure there are other points that could be made but these are ones that are really bothersome for me.
Honest review. I’ve been doing Uber Eats for about a year where I was having a plethora of issues with my app, like I wouldn’t get any quest challenges or initiatives. For example, I had over 1,000 deliveries under my belt at the time but only had 4 connect package deliveries even when I had that feature toggled. I could count on my fingers the number of times I received any quest challenges. It’s been 5 months since I transitioned over to Uber X and subsequently had issues with that feature also that customer support refused to fix. My Uber Eats heat map is completely gray, I don’t have access to my planner, and I’m now eligible to see the dollar amount of my trips but the app and customer support refuse to fix the problem, when I’m in a surge zone I don’t get the full amount of the amount displayed on the heat map, I’m also eligible to do uber green but they refuse to send me that preference. Customer support is atrociously useless, it seems like they all read from the same script and don’t care about what you have to say. It’s been 5 months going back and forth and none of these problems I mentioned have been fixed. I’m going to Uber Green Light Hub to make my case but this has been a terrible experience. I’m going to try my luck driving for Lyft instead. Ohhhh I forgot to mention the dollar amount for my miles isn’t properly calibrated, last week I got a Walmart order that was $8 for 25 miles. Ridiculous and unacceptable that they treat their drivers like garbage!
Just garbage company. I’ve worked for every major delivery company before, and this one has to be the worst when it comes to their policies. On my first day, I got two orders in a row that made it clear I needed to stay far away from this company. The first order was from a place called Cheeze Mac—which isn’t even a real restaurant anywhere in town. I spent 20 minutes walking around trying to find it and contacted customer support. After all that, I got only $3 for half an hour of my life, and I had to spend $1 on parking. Then, 30 minutes later, I got another order: 10 miles from my location to the restaurant, and another 5 miles from the restaurant to the customer. When I arrived, the restaurant was closed. I contacted customer support again, and they said they would cancel the order—but I wouldn’t be compensated for my gas or time. Their response? “We understand this can be disappointing. The fare structure for delivering through the Uber Eats platform does not include time and distance traveled to the merchant.” Like, come on. Am I supposed to pay for the mistake of someone forgetting to “turn off” their restaurant in the app? At least give me something so I can move on to the next order without feeling robbed. When I make money, you make money too. Support your drivers! Stupid company. Stay away from greedy rats—for your own good. Go back to DoorDash. They pay better ($2.50 base rate compared to this $2). Trust me, you don’t want all these headaches.
Not a fair system when I comes to customer rating.. I’ve done 273 orders all delivered successfully most of the time early. Out of those 273 orders I’ve done I been rated 34 times. 5 of those ratings were thumbs downs without any explanation why the thumbs down was given. Same for the thumbs up there weren’t any explanations why I was given a good rating either. But due to the 5 bad ratings I’ve gotten my account has been permanently disabled. The only reason I give this app 2 stars is because the money was not bad even though your still putting a lot of miles on your car. But what was done to me is completely unfair even if that is apart of the guidelines it shouldn’t be. This has been done to numerous other if you do some research online it’s not hard to find. It is really unfortunate because I was depending on the money I was making for a lot of things I do in daily life and now I had to go over to Grubhub to make up for their instantaneous decision to permanently ban me from ever working for them again. My advice is to not depend on this app just use it when you need some quick cash so you won’t be disappointed or put in a bind because you are capable to make enough money of this app as an entry level job. someone gives you a thumbs down because they had the wrong soda or their barbecue sauce packets were left out their bag which isn’t your fault but you can still be penalized for it with no communication.
Could be better - 3.75 stars but not quite 4. The app is ok but not good. It constantly tells me to go the wrong way down one way roads. Wants You to make illegal Uturns as well. Rarely does the app have the fastest route. During big events it doesn’t take into account road closures and/or no turns at intersections and doesn’t know how to re-route. These closures are the same for all events so it’s not like it changes. It knows there’s construction and it’s a 3 year project but Uber app asks every single time I’m on that highway if the construction is still there. It’s annoying because it’s a 3 year project!!!!! It will be there for a Long time so stop asking! The quest payouts are less and less each week and not worth the effort. I received a notification that I was eligible for a boost and to click the notification to activate it but it didn’t appear in my opportunities so I had no way to activate the boost even though I was driving and it was coming up. I don’t get any reservation requests. They must come through all at once in the middle of the night when not awake bc I wake up to 20 opportunities but when I open them there’s not even 1 available opportunity. The heat map of surges is not viewable while your doing a ride. It used to be but not anymore. You can’t make money if you can’t see where the surge is especially given the fact that Uber takes 60% of the fare in my city.
Good app but improvements are needed. Over the last 5 years of driving this app has gotten a lot better but still has problems. Lots of map problems though as roads that have been completed for several years are not on the map but a few roads that just got completed are on the map. The surge from uberX shows up on delivery only accounts and makes it confusing if the delivery should have a surge. The rewards should be better. Send us notifications of when it gets busy for delivery in an area so it gives us the opportunity to go online. Support has been getting better over the years but still needs major improvement. Biggest issue is the competition for when we make it to a restaurant and they only allow drive thru and it has 20+ cars in line (that’s like an hour wait) and then we don’t get compensated or we have to wait the entire time. Same type of issue with closed restaurants and order and pay restaurant that refuse to take orders. More promotions in Montana for Uber eats and uberX would be great as a 1.3x boost for delivery at dinner isn’t that helpful. Some of our drivers have over 20,000 deliveries completed. Feels like Uber doesn’t care about its drivers and is all about greed. Late night drives are risky and $150 cleaning fee doesn’t cover the cost at all. Most details in Montana cost over $500 and won’t be available for a few weeks.
Not built for drivers.. The Uber application irritates me for a number of obvious and stupid reasons. Such as, the navigation voice over directions will sound even when the option is off randomy, the messages inbox has no batch select option which forces you to view each message individually or, have forever notifications, messages also can't be deleted from the inbox, the app will demoralize me by displaying that I will lose my Uber status because of my acceprance rate, then the app will send requests I've already turned down over and over lowering my acceptance rate, sending requests that are so little money that it would be working at a loss, and accepted requests disappearing and or the job is reset and you have to return to your starting point for low or no pay. In the end, the app should be focused on what we as drivers need and want out of it. Instead, arrogant programmers and sociopathic managers decide what we want and need. Just more evidence of American companies nihlism and their lack of fairness, loyalty, and care for people. Money is God to these people and companies, and fairness or good faith cooperation, are just tools of deception used to manipulate those with ethics and morals. If they do something that appears fair, you inevitably find out it is just another lie and manipulation for Uber to be more and more greedy. I'd stop working for them but the truth is, this is all companies these days. "Go die for all we care!", should be their company mottos.
Uber Eats driver. The app is pretty great. I ONLY do UberEats.. The quests are generous and help make you extra money. I actually do this full time now to focus on my own business and I get by. However, they should have an option for us to decide if we are willing to deliver out of the state. I understand that people that aren’t from NY or NJ think traveling in and out of the city is a breeze, and when you live in Jersey City and Bayonne it really is, but that doesn’t mean I WANT to go back and fourth, MORE THAN ONCE in a day, let alone an hour, idk how tolls are anywhere else but getting into any part of NY is EXPENSIVE. Especially now that the pandemic has made the state of New York even more broke. I don’t mind doing it, but there are days when it’s just not worth it and when I really just don’t want to. So please, idk if you people at Uber actually read these but please consider giving us an option to travel out of state, or maybe give us an option to enter how many miles from our preferred location we are willing to go. And can you maybe figure out a way to get us to our destinations without having to pay multiple tolls, I’m doing this to make money, not to pay 2 to 3 tolls for a person who’s only gonna leave a 1-2 dollar tip. If there are going to be multiple tolls, you should figure out how to make it worthwhile.

Had me deliver to a deserted desert 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve had to drive MAAAANY times through a neighborhood to another to a main St. To get where I need to be when I could have just made a left turn. They owe me so much gas I can’t even count. I also HATE that we have no idea where we are delivering to until we have picked up the food and hit pick up complete. It’s NOT FARE AT ALL. They know we can’t cancel once we have the food. Anyways, I’m glad I have the job but it’s so not ok. Just ridiculous. Extremely stressful with just those two. Oh! They have me picking up food all the time from places that closed like an hour ago or more. Come one Uber. Do better. Also, they are the WORST customer service I’ve ever dealt with in my life. I’m being serious. You get transferred six times no matter what. Seriously. Not five not seven SIX. I’ve counted. That’s how many times I e had to call them. I’ve had time to count. And each person says “I promise this is the right department “ EVERY ….. SINGLE ….. TIME. AND you tell them that the guy before promised and then they say “ well this time it is the right department “ but it’s NOT and never is. I swear on my dogs that I’m not overextending at all. I really hope they work on this stuff. It’s not just some small issue. I love ❤️ my customers though. I deliver a lot at the same times so they know me by now.
Don’t change states if you’ve been driving a while.. I drove in Utah for over 2 years. Requested to change cities when I moved to Atlanta. They made me submit ANOTHER background check when I had just completed one earlier in the year. And to my surprise the background checked flagged a speeding ticket and listed it as bail forfeiture and unpaid. How is this possible when the speeding ticket occurred in July of 2020 and I passed a background check on the same account in February of this year? Then when I try to bypass the system and creat a new account to drive on. They flag both my accounts for fraud. After deactivating my diamond account, they only opened up my new account to basic trips and deliveries. Meanwhile I’ve done over 200 trips already on this account and not earning any points whatsoever towards the higher tiers of pro status. My pro status doesn’t exist after four weeks of driving. And now all of a sudden they stopped offering promotions in my area. These guys are morons and just give you someone who speaks broken English to talk to through their support line. They never resolve your issue and you waste your time and lose money. When I asked Lyft to change my city. They said, “ok. What’s your new address?” An hour later they had me approved to drive. That’s almost laughable on Uber’s part. Meanwhile Über continues to charge riders upwards of $25 for a 15 minute ride and only pay me $10. Think I’m just about ready to tell them to shove it.
Best app for ride shares or private taxi.. I love it as a customer and as a driver. But in regards to the attention for its drivers they don’t seem to care at all. Driving at night as everybody knows it’s risky and people don’t care and don’t mind for whatever is not their property, specially when they’re drunk or drinking. A cleaning fee is way more expensive than 200$ in Florida and one day somebody made a mess on my car and they only send me 30$ which didn’t even cover cleaning the carpets, even the less the chairs and doors which were leather at that time when I was driving a Volkswagen Passat. They don’t give enough promotions or incentives for old drivers, only for new drivers or if you invite someone. Corporate should take into consideration we as drivers are the ones making your money. We have to buy tires, brakes, engine fluids, pay for services, tolls and gasoline, and you still take more percentage than we make and without giving enough promotions. Offering 100$ for making 60 rides in 3 days is almost impossible for most people, so what about those who can’t? This is absurd and should change. I understand the company wants to grow by getting more new drivers, but giving highest paid promotions for them to join, and having your 5 star drivers who have been with you for more time to get lower paid promotions just messed the whole point of keeping the company growing...
DON’T DO IT!. I started off delivering for Uber Eats via bicycle. I was then given the option to rent a car so I could drive Uber X. Instead of having me complete a new background check BEFORE I was approved to rent the car, Uber allowed me to rent for a week and then proceeded to take me completely offline for 3-5 business days until it was passed. I called, emailed, and texted Uber support numerous of times where I was told to either create a new account for Uber Eats while my background check was being completed OR there was nothing there could do; couldn’t even be transferred to another agent. This went on every single day for an entire week. After my background check was approved, my rental agreement was up the following day. I had one day to make an entire week to pay for the rental. Uber not only stole from me but also blocked my account because of fraudulent activity after I was told by multiple support agents to make a new account to be able to continue to deliver. I was twenty deliveries away from myself and my roommate getting the referral reward. I have saved every screenshot of every conversation I’ve had with Uber support for when I review on my social media accounts. This company is very unethical, VERY unprofessional, doesn’t care for their drivers, and completely wasted a week of my money and time because of their negligence. I would definitely try Lyft, DoorDash, or even your local Domino’s before I EVER recommend Uber Eats or Uber X to anyone in my lifetime.
Uber eats is a rip off. If you drive for Uber eats and the restaurant messes up the order, the customer will give you a bad rating over. Will not do anything about it even though they say they will they won’t. If you go to a restaurant, it could be 10 miles away, but you took the call and you get there and someone else has already picked up the order you’re required to cancel that and that goes against you in points never mind the gas you spent the money they just stole from you for the ride that you just took. They will not accept any excuses. That cancellation goes against you. If you take too long to get to a call because traffic is bad there’s a wreck or anything like that and you get canceled. They hold that against you. So don’t get excited about Uber eats. It is a job for children who want to make a little extra cash But as far as actually making money delivering food, you cannot do it.. Uber ride is a better deal as far as making a little extra cash but you have to stay with it and we returning calls down in Cherry picking calls because it will affect your rating and you really do need to be gold status however. You may get a few better calls in gold status, but you’re still gonna get paid the same amount per mile so just hustle up and take all that they can send you and make your money and go home.
A company that doesn't care about its employees, cares about customers rating more though.. I was making deliveries for this company, working hard under the rain sometimes. Never did serious violations, never stole the food or something like that like other drivers do. My rating was 73% and I never was aware that it must be at least 86% in California state. They never sent message or notification saying that I will be deactivated if I have rating less than 86%. And I had more thumbs-up from customers and complinments by the way. So recently I was just deactivated without warning, notice, investigation. This is such an unfair! They say that the reason is low rating and actions which were against “Community Guideliness”. I was always sure that people get deactivated for serious reasons but this was something unserious and something what can be fixed but they just deactivated me permanently and said I don’t have the right to appeal, they just rejected it. If you decide to work for them, know that you are worthless to them and they will deactivate you one day for nothing. You will just waste your time. You can read on the Internet how many people were deactivated even for a customer complaint, which was not true, but customers are people for them, and employees don’t count as people for them. For this reason I’m not going to use any Uber service like delivery, rides, rent anymore. I’m not your customer anymore. I'd rather use services of your competitors.
I Like it but it could be better.. There should be a setting to where we can put how many miles we would like to travel and what area(s) we would like to deliver in. Y’all should make it to where the orders don’t reach the delivery drivers until the order is prepared and ready to be picked up. Because the wait time at these restaurants is ridiculous. Especially when you have to pick up another order or have already picked up an order . Also when the weather is bad that’s when people order food the most so it would be better to pay us more on rainy days. I also feel that the amount time they have to change the tips should be 20 or 30 minutes. I think 1 hour is too long especially when you’re done for the day. And Uber customer service should keep tabs on the promotions so that when we have a problem like not getting paid from the promised promotion, they should know the times and dates or should be able to see past days times and dates of past promotions so they won’t have to ask us to send in screenshots of the promotions we didn’t get paid for because what if we didn’t screenshot it. I can’t think of anything else at the moment but other than that , I like the app. Orders come in very quickly. But we could be paid more for fares when the customer doesn’t tip . Who wants to drive 5 plus miles for $2.75? Gas has went up
Auto background checks are awful…. I decided to get this app and sign up for uber just to find out after the strenuous process of finding my papers and documents was for nought. If their automatic background checker messes up or finds a “discrepancy” kiss your uber driving dreams goodbye and say hello to painful weeklong processes of trying to get in touch which their support team (which can take more than an hour if you even get the help you need). I got in touch with a support agent after 40 minutes of waiting and she said there was an issue with their auto background check and that she would have the internal team fix the issue and that I would get an email saying I'm ready to drive in a day or two. To my surprise instead of an email saying Im ready to go I got an email saying there was a discrepancy on their auto background check, checkr, website and that I would have to manually put in my info to the website. I did it after the strenuous process I’d been through to get here and to my surprise it said i would need to contact someone in checkr support to get my “discrepancies” sorted out. With no info on how to actually do such a thing on their website and the pain and suffering I had gone through up to this point I decided to throw in the towel. In conclusion this is the worst experience I’ve ever had applying to any job, so if you’re as lucky as I am with background check “discrepancies” I recommend moving on and considering a different company to work for.
The app needs changes. I have worked for this company for 7 years delivering food this is my top 4 complaints. First of all there is a bug in the app that has never been fixed where you will get an offer and it will turn your music down and not return back to the original level until you either kill the app or open Siri. No other delivery app has this problem its unacceptable to have gone this long without ever being fixed. Second allow us to either change the chime for delivery notifications or mute it altogether i cannot stand the sound any longer i hear it in my sleep please let me have the option to change it. Third let us apply a filter to the orders we get offered. I will never accept and order that is under $1 per per mile ratio and i will prioritize $2 per mile ratio so there is no point to even show me and order that is less than that. I spend my shift declining 70% of what i am offered because they are under the $1 per mile threshold and it would be a lot more relaxing to know when i get offered an order it is worth my time. Today for example i was offered an order that was $6 for 24 miles. Why would anyone in 2024 accept a pay of $6 for 1 hour of work? Lastly there either needs to be a required tip amount to make the order a $7 pay for us drivers or an increase to the fare you guys pay because $2.50-$3 fares are not enough.
There are good days and bad.. I have no idea why you allow ratings that do nothing to help your drivers improve. I have never done anything to deserve less than 5 stars, other than when there are app glitches, and when I get rated below I have no what I need to improve. This is the most frustrating thing for me personally. Hardly any riders tips me and I am polite, careful, and help them with their bags or assistance getting in out of the car when needed. We are providing a service that takes most of our fare and tipping should be automatic. The only other thing that could explain no tips is if the company is taking them. But how can that be proven? I am grateful I have a job to work until I can find something better, but I constantly worry about what will happen if I ever have a real problem with a customer or anything else really. I have been driving for almost two years now and wish the fear of actually being able to trust the company I work for would go away. You have so many drivers though so the opinions of a few don’t seem to be worth your time. It really is not becoming worth the wear and tear on my personal vehicle with prices going down and the passengers having no idea what we have to pay just to drive for you all with commercial insurance costs, fuel, tires and everything else that goes into taking care of our vehicles to provide safe traveling for YOUR customers.
Can’t zoom in on map.. You can’t check where the order is going. When they offer you an order they give you a very zoomed out map and no way of knowing if it’s going to a sketchy apartment complex, or if your going way out of a hotspot. And when you do end up accepting the order they swiftly do a 180 flip and zoom in on your arrow so you can’t even check where it’s at when your able to interact with the map because you have zero clue where it was in the first place. Very tricky and untrustworthy app. Edit: also they give you like 5 seconds to accept the order so if your driving and get an order sent to your phone good luck figuring out if it’s worth taking. Edit 2: they added this thing called the “trip radar” which makes it to where you have to accept the order really quickly otherwise another driver will take it. They added this for the sole purpose or making the driver accept the order as quickly and impulsively as possible. Just remember, they’re not on your side trying to help you make extra money. They’re trying to pay you the least possible and make you work like a slave. Edit 3: I swear take off the trip radar. Even if you go to accept an order from the trip radar most of the time it will say another driver matched this delivery even if you accept it before. The trip radar is nothing but a complete garbage addition to the app, and it only shows how greedy Uber is and how little they care about drivers.
The up and down app. The app is great when it wants to be, other times not so much. I have been driving for Uber for a little over a year. And in that time I can say there is good but there’s a lot of bad. The app has a lot of issues, you shouldn’t have to uninstall and reinstall an app for it to work is one. I have experienced a few solid weeks of making good money then all of a sudden the app is having issues that no one from Uber knows how to resolve. I really feel that this is by design. Uber doesn’t want their drivers to actually make a good living. Because if an individual is making good money let’s say for 3months straight Uber fears you have the opportunity to find something better, with less pressure to cover your bills. For the past few weeks I’ve been starting my day off early to get the morning surge pricing and would be done by 3pm. After the first week of doing this the surge pricing went away. The next thing to go was the app working properly. The map is usually a light grey when it’s not too busy and red in areas that are surging. All of a sudden my entire map is white except little pockets that are surging. Now I barely get any rides. I think this is to keep you working for them. Luckily I also drive for Lyft so when they start pulling the usual I just turn on my Lyft app. I recommend also becoming a Lyft driver also, so that when this happens to you, because it will. You’ll at least have a back up to still earn money.
Cool app but…. Uber takes a lot for their platform when you are the one providing the service for your customers and your personal vehicle. Since you are an independent contractor there is no employment verification for housing or loans or anything. It takes a lot of driving to pay your bills. I’m a platinum driver and the rewards are pretty minimal for the amount you have to work to gain that status. The only real benefit is the Costco membership for a year. But I was unable to use this benefit because only new Costco members qualify and I had a Costco membership in 2015 so I couldn’t use it. ASU tuition assistance with platinum status but you have to have over 2000 rides I’m at 1600 since April so I’m on my way if my car makes it that far. There aren’t a lot of bonus. I liked on lift how if you did a certain amount of rides in a time frame you got a bonus. Using the uber pro card you have the potential to qualify for a back up although when you get the back up all of your fares go directly to repayment which makes it really hard to keep gas in your vehicle. But if you save 50 out of the 150 you can pay back the 150 with the 50 in gas so it’s really like 100 back up at the end of the day. I wish they would increase the amount and allow you to pay it off on your own accord durning an allotted amount of time so that it was actually useful.
Use to be a good earner.. I have been driving for 3 years with Uber eats now, and what use to be a good earner, earning at least $146-$200 plus a day especially as I’m surrounded by restaurants, however now and in the past 1 .5 years I struggle to make $100 a day. Like today I have been driving for 8 plus hours and earnt $30 it’s poor now. Mainly because Uber has employed far far to many drivers now. So too many drivers in one area all scrapping for poor offers, this is what it’s come down to now. New drivers getting monster orders and us drivers that have been with Uber over 2 years getting the scraps. For example $2.45 to go 4 miles!!! Are you serious! I know the restaurants in my area are busy and I see drivers coming and going. I spoken to these drivers and all are NEW drivers. You need to start giving your older loyal drivers the better offers instead of the poor ones. I have put over 10,000 miles on my car in little over 6 months, whilst earning poor money, having to take far away orders to earn ANYTHING some days and this has put milage on my car. I’m about to finish this gig work as it’s now DEAD. To many new drivers and whether knowingly or not pushing the older drivers to the bottom. Please Uber sort this out. Something is totally wrong.
Why am I constantly having network trouble?. This is the second time driving this week that I keep having network trouble. I have 3-4 bars on my phone and my VPN is off. All of a sudden I look at the app and it says “offline no network”. Today alone it happened 3 times. I was driving to a hotspot and looked down to see I was offline. I tried for 10 minutes to sign on and all I got was “unable to connect, we are having technical difficulties”. A version of this happened twice during my ride shift. The next two times when I started the ride it was unable to connect to the network and sent me to Apple Maps for directions. That cause another error and I had to use Siri to put in the destination and that worked fine. Earlier in the week I spent over 20 minutes trying to get back online. I even rebooted my phone and it still hadn’t closed my previous ride even though I completed it and rated the rider. When I signed back in it buzzed through several ride requested one after another then the app crashed. Once again, I rebooted my phone and when I finally was back online I was timed out because of the requests I missed. I signed off and went home. Ever since the last update of this app there have been problems I have never seen or heard of in the past. What is going on?!
Being held hostage, waiting for a reservation. There Hass to be a better way, when excepting rides that have been reserved ahead of time. The app tends to hold the driver hostage for up to two hours the full hour before the ride request, and sometimes a whole hour before no rides or given even when you’re in a certain area, and that surge money doesn’t carryover to the ride request for the reservation. We should not be held hostage while waiting for a reservation. The app does not give you rides closer to your pick up as an example. I had a ride reservation that was two hours away from me. I had plenty of time to get there, but the app gave me a ride in the opposite direction, and then another ride nowhere closer to the request and because no one else was going up the mountain to get these people, they waited an hour and a half past their requested time because there were no other drivers. I live in a mountainous region and I missed reservation request because there’s no service in the mountains even though, if I had waited for the ride to be given to me, I would’ve been late so I needed to travel towards my pick up and still the ride was lost. The reservations are also a problem for the passenger. They do not like the drivers waiting 30 minutes outside their house because they have arrive so early this whole reservation situation needs to be worked on and made better in my opinion
Getting worse. When I first started I really enjoyed this. It was a great way to make a little extra cash on the side and involved very little stress for the driver. Lately I’ve been nothing but disappointed with this app. This app consistently promotes AWFUL orders. $3 for 9 miles, $2 for 7 miles, $4 for 12 miles. I understand that this is due to the customer not tipping, but to tank my acceptance rating by declining these offers is ridiculous. Don’t get me started on the Trip Radar. It’s the most useless feature on the app-offering worse than bar none. I’ve recently had several experiences where I, the driver, had to take the fault for restaurants mess ups, and customer greed. I find it ridiculous that the customer can change their tip after the order has been completed. I recently drove 14.4 miles to a hotel and hand delivered the order to their room. I was met with confusion about the PIN number system(which deserved a rant on it own) and received no tip and my first ever poor rating after over 250 deliveries. It is infuriating that the customer is easily able to avoid a tip by simply leaving a bull**** review. This happened to me once more when I had to wait in a drive thru for 30 minutes and received no tip because the customer thought it took too long. Due to all these reasons and more I will be vastly lowering my driving on this app, most likely only going on occasional weekends. Really upsetting what’s happened to this app.
Useless Customer Service. I have only been driving for a month and 141 rides but have been in contact with Uber customer service 4 times and they have never resolved an issue any of those times. 1 - Received a 1 Star rating and wanted an idea on what I did wrong and then explain I did have a passenger with special needs (his words) have issues getting out of my vehicle and left his phone in my car. Mom called and apologized and we took care of it but just wanted Uber to know. 2 & 3 - I have had 2 riders call me and want me to cancel the ride because they can’t figure out on their end how to cancel on the Uber app so I cancel and get dinged. 4 - Acceptance rate - For some reason I keep missing rides with the Uber app and not Lyft. I’m at 97% on Lyft only missing 3. On Uber I can’t get above 84%. I think it is because when I am helping with luggage or opening the doors for riders the rides are coming up. On Lyft they automatically put them in the que and I asked if I can make it so Uber does the same thing because I can’t get to 85% to become GOLD. On all these issues they just keep saying no one can call me back but they will pass on the information. You would think they would want input from a new driver learning for the first time but that’s not the case with Uber. Just go out and have fun giving rides and enjoy your riders and try not to worrying about the stats because they don’t track them fairly...that is my opinion of coarse. Have a great day..
Inconsistent. I’ve noticed inconsistent opening and closing the app out. Also across the board it’s not the same in Diffrenet areas. For example Tulsa airport (in Oklahoma)waiting area is not the same as XNA airport in Northwest Arkansas. The Tulsa waiting lot in Tulsa is way more convient and up to date. It shows a weekly view of flights arriving in the area and the best times to try to earn by wait times. You could plan your whole week out using the Uber app if your a serious driver! I noticed that last week how behind times the XNA wait lot is compared to bigger cities. I feel like the drivers in this area should be able to experience that side of the app because there is very many serious driving in the XNA are. It’s also Bicyvle capitol of the world that sponsor big name gravel bike riders alongside RedBull. The airport is also undergoing big construction projects making our airport more efficient and to grow with other airlines. We have the University of Arkansa 15 miles from the Rogers Bentonville area that provides good income on the weekends along with flights flying to over 20 prime locations in the nation. We have big SEC sports right in these mountains that we drive for along with elite Wal-Mart and Tyson executives that fly right into this area. It helps supplement incomes being able to drive for Uber and if I could make a better career out of it I would seriously consider. Maybe someone reads this and gets back with me on the “XNA update”
Earn when you want!. I’ve been an Uber Eats driver for a few years now. The app is constantly updating to accommodate the new construction in the Tampa Bay Area, which is nice. If you don’t know your city well I would suggest routing your deliveries through Waze or another map app your phone offers. Uber def tries to stay on top of it but my biggest complaints are not being able to find a place and getting another order come through, which is a double edged complaint bc I’m grateful it’s another delivery but I may not want to accept it bc it’s in a bad part of town or too far for my time left. The other part is that I drive in circles looking for a location and if the customer doesn’t put specific delivery notes you will never figure out how to deliver. This should be a requirement for apartment complexes with secured entry or those who live in mother in law suites or duplexes. Other than that this app has been a life saver when I needed extra money to supplement for gas, food, birthday gifts or unexpected necessities beyond my budget. I love the flexibility of being able to get off my 9-5 and turn on deliveries on the way home, do 5-10 and make some extra cash and go home! The only other inconvenience would be that you don’t get your tips right away, they come within an hour of your delivery so all you hey up front is your delivery fee. But I get why they do that.
This app needs work. I have only been working with Uber for about 4 weeks and have been VERY eager to earn money !! I have done OVER 137 trips and it says I have declined 30 trips !!!!! There is NO WAY I have missed that many and I have NEVER declined 1 trip !! But the WORST one is where the app messed up while finding trips, and a customer called me from a previously accepted trip that ‘dropped off’ and went back to looking for trips. He seemed desperate to get to the airport so I agreed to take him. I verified with Uber that I would be covered insurance wise even though the app was OBVIOUSLY having issues. I tried 6-7 times over 10 days afterwords to reach out to CS to get this trip ‘fixed’ so I could be paid. The kicker was when I received an email notice that I would NOT be paid due to NOT contacting them within 10 days and to “in the future be sure to notify Uber within 10 days of any issues”. To say I was upset would be putting it lightly !!! In calling CS I informed the rep that it was not their personal fault but I was VERY upset and took it out on them. And she was able to ‘fix’ it right then !!! WHY DID IT TAKE 10 days & 6-7 reps before I could get it resolved !?!?!? I am gonna get my CDL license so I can make REAL money driving for delivering goods instead of people so I can provide a living instead of just side hustle money with Uber . This is such a shame since I love to meet people and drive my car !!!
Don’t get me started. So first off I understand business side Of things your in it to make money but let me tell you first off the way they will send you far away for only Pennie’s and when I say Pennie’s is crazy, I had a order to go 9 miles away for 2 dollars and that was durning there Extra 1.50 which is crazy. I don’t like the fact that if a customer cancels you have to fight with uber to get your whomping 3 dollars. The fact that you tell uber over and over and over a store is closed and they still let people order from their so you waste all your gas to only get 3 dollars it’s done it to me twice now. I don’t mind the thumbs up or thumbs down but honestly they should let drivers see why they got a thumbs down. I think every delivery drivers get should be a 1.00 per mile so if you go 10 miles your trip is 10 dollars plus tip not 3 dollars n then maybe get 3 dollar tip for going 9 miles that is crazy and stop start me on Spark deliveries from Walmart I had 3 orders cancelled in a row and uber doesn’t pay drivers even Tho you are sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting it’s not bad if you need money but also let’s treat drivers better and give them some more compensation instead of Pennie’s last night Uber had transferred me to 8 different people for one simple task and they couldn’t even get that correctly I had to go to someone this morning and got it done
App not being maintained by company. I’m almost a weekly basis the app is been having issues. In fact these issues have gone over for several years. They say a specialized team will look into it but it doesn’t get fixed. For several years, there’s still a distance fencing, that is never been fixed although it has been put in writing, and told me verbally it would be. many drivers, including myself is having a serious issue with the filter navigation. Lately for the past four months unless you complain, you will not receive the minimum fare within the area and state I live in the biggest problem is customer service. I don’t think for the most part most of these individuals are properly trained, and for the most part you get pre-written electronic responses to your problems. Most of the time, and I repeat most the time have nothing to do with your issue. I have countless correspondence about this. My big issue is that Uber is taking much more than they used to and yet the service given is less and anytime there’s a problem there’s no consistent compensation. Sometimes like any business model sorry or apologizing no longer solve the issue. I still use the app, but nowhere near the amount of time arrives I used to. That’s in essence, I lose money, the company, loses, money, and writers will use a competitive service lately I’ve seen some very unethical practices being done through the app by the company.
Better pay. I’ve been driving for Uber 3+ years and the app itself has gotten better however the earnings seem to have gotten worse. When I first started delivering an order for a grocery store like Kroger or Safeway was usually 9+ dollars and now I get offers to take 3 deliveries from Walmart and it pays $5??. Some of the grocery orders are $200 orders going up to a third story apartment, and we’re gonna make $2 for carrying all those groceries up the stairs? Not to mention I live in Arizona and in the summer time we deliver a lot of cases of waters. Carrying 2-3 cases of 24 packs of waters up stairs in 100 degree weather for a couple bucks is crazy. The other issue I have is people removing the tip after the trip. Many people offer a high tip so that a driver will take it faster and then once it’s delivered they lower it? Obviously if there was an issue that’s understandable but when I’ve delivered it on time and there’s nothing wrong with the order it seems unfair that they can change the tip amount to a lower amount just because they don’t really want to pay that much? There are also not very promotions in my area and I agree with previous comments that late night deliveries are risky and we are sitting in drive thru lines for 20-30 min sometimes and dont get any compensation for that. It seems like those deliveries should pay more
App is good. Support is abysmal. The system crashed today and I lost half my pay and the delivery it crashed in the middle of didn’t count towards the promotion. I called customer service and spent 1.5 hours on the phone transferred between TWELVE people. Every person said this isn’t the right department we will send you here. This includes supervisors. I was transferred between 12 people and 5 departments before the issue magically resolved itself, much to support’s surprise. Also typically to my understanding new drivers are supposed to receive a new drive promotion. This never happened for me. A week into driving I call support and ask and he tells me it can take 10 days to show in my account. I’m on day 15. Since I was already with support for the above issue I asked about this too. I’ve now spent another hour being transferred between 6 more people, everyone saying oh yes I can help get this on your account and then they disappear and a new person picks up and makes me start over and now the 6th guy says I’m apparently one of the unlucky ones that just doesn’t receive the promotion. He had me on hold and was investigating and now I just got hung up on. So to summarize I’ve spent 2.5 hours on the phone and spoon to a total of 18 Uber driver support employees today and at no point did anyone ever have a single clue what was going on. Extremely frustrated and disappointed with the quality of support. And I’m exactly where I started. Horrible.
Better updates with the app, not the driving itself. Driving with Uber has changed over the years and sometimes not for the best. We still have riders that use fake names, we do not know if the rider is a Sex Offender or have criminal records. We carry passengers in our car, that can even be mentally unstable, might carry guns and that put us in jeopardy. Plus, still continue to have trips requests where we need to drive more miles to pickup than the miles we get paid for that ride. We are still forced to use the Tollway roads, we get charged a price and you pay us back even less. We have riders that smell like Weed/marihuana and we can’t choose a proper option when we rate them to let you know that rider is a problem for us drivers. It leaves our car stinky and other riders might think we are high as skyscrapers giving us a lower rating due yo lack of support of your behalf. So… we are the ones affected in all your decisions, but we have a very little to say. Our voice isn’t heard enough or when it is, is after months having the same issue. Because of all of those issues, I might close my account with Uber after 4.5 years. I have given enough time to improve your app, rules, and prices and so far the only you have done is cover your own bank account while for us drivers there is always less money, more miles, more hours and, more expenses. That’s enough! Thank you
Somewhat good. I’ve been working for Uber for over 6 years now it’s a decent gig if your a single mother like me and can’t get a regular 9-5 due to your child’s schedule. The only flaws I absolutely hate that Uber should look into is when delivering at night or anytime really and you get to a restaurant and it’s closed, your not compensated for gas which I feel like is only fair because you have driven to the pickup location so not only did you waste gas driving to the location you don’t receive any compensation from it unless you contact Uber support. Uber should make each restaurant go in an update their closing times. Most haven’t updated their closing times since before Covid so now with every place being understaffed your likely hood of delivering at night and running into closed restaurants is high. It would save us the stress and gas and it would also save the customer stress since they are under the impression they are getting food and aren’t the time wasted waiting on that closed restaurant could have been spent at one that’s open. Update…..Also Uber should stop letting customer say they didn’t receive their food when reality they did I’ve been delivering for years and have never stolen anyone’s food even with documentation that the order has been delivered to the correct address they still say the didn’t receive it and that’s messing up my job my income. Uber needs to require everyone to have a pin set when receiving food to verify they actually received it!
Driving waiting to restaurant for more than half an hour without getting paid. I did drive numerous times for ubereats going to restaurant for miles then wait for approximately 40 minutes, after waiting for that long I called customer service to help cancel instead of waiting for an hour and Uber would said they would not pay me because I got too many similar compensations , basically I put wear and tears plus gas in my car driving to a restaurant and did wait for almost an hour and uber want to keep the money for themselves which means Uber does not care about the fact that drivers use gas when going to restaurant that is 5 or 8 miles away our car will need maintenance after a week or two but uber does not care about how long we wait in restaurant since they will said you got too many similar compensations. The food normally must be ready when we arrive , our job is to pick up and drop off but when we wait for 40 minutes and not getting paid because Uber said the system said I got so many compensations and they will end a message to the account department and the something happens over a year, I think new driver need to know about it .I feel like uber thing it’s driver fault if the food is not ready or if restaurant is closed or if food is taken an hour to be ready. One day I did wait for 54 minutes and I got paid 3 dollars and it’s been like that but most of them times they don’t pay so you waste your time waiting and driving to restaurant
Always something. I’ve been trying to get my Uber debit card issue result for going on three weeks at this point because of the language barrier majority of the people I get in contact with cannot comprehend the issue all they do is copy paste a generic response when they see the word “bank” and “debit card issue” it’s absolutely ridiculous they’re not even comprehending the actual issue and just do nothing on top of this the app it’s self is not like it is for everyone else on my end. I do not have an option to pause while I am online nor can I see the map of gas stations and bathrooms available to meet in my area it’s really annoying and frustrating that I have to go off-line every time I need to pause for a second and that I don’t have access to this awesome feature every download the app five times at this point and it still doesn’t provide me with these features if someone could actually fix this for me and get back to me with it in the month that would be OK since it seems like every other issue takes weeks upon weeks for you guys to fix even though it’s super simple y’all really need to move your customer service call center from a non-English-speaking country it is doing nothing but make you guys look awful as none of you are testing if these people can actually speak and comprehend English just because they put it on the résumé doesn’t make it so
Good app overall. I’ve been using this app for about a year now, and I think that it is a good app, overall. I have tried using competing apps, but I kept coming back to this one. I feel like the app is very user friendly and has an easy to learn set up. I have been using this app as my primary source of income for the past 6 months and have been able to pay my rent and bills this way. I think it is a good way to earn money fast. There reason for 4 stars is because I think there are some things that need work. Firstly, I think that the “busy” times are inaccurate. I have been in an area during the “busy” hours and didn’t get any offers for an order for over an hour. I think that a feature like this is very convenient for us using the app, but only if it is updated regularly and accurate. A second issue with the app is navigation. I feel like the navigation is inaccurate too often, making it hard to deliver orders. I think that it should be more regularly checked and updated. Lastly, I think that too many deals cost more to do (in gas) than I would make. I think that this is especially frustrating as a high level driver. I think that the offers need to be a bit better to make it worth my while to do them. Overall, I think this is an easy way to make quick money and it is a pretty solid app. If the things mentioned were looked at and fixed, I think this app would be just about perfect!
Uber has failed. What can I say about Uber. Although I have a great record/rating as a driver, Uber has failed me multiple times with there glitches and errors. I didn't think I would ever have to write a review until now. I am very upset! The whole purpose of drive Uber is to make quick cash. I drove Uber for several hours last night and my funds were not available to me. The reps on the phone couldnt give me any type of time frame or estimate when this mistake may be fixed. I stopped doing Uber for the night since I couldn't cash out. This morning, I expected to cash out, but now my funds won't be available to me until the 17th of September!! I needed that money to pay on something now which is why I drove last night!! On top that big problem, Ubers drop off locations for passengers are still not accurate. I took one women to a location and she didn't even stay in that area. This has happened multiple times. I try very hard to give my passengers the best experience possible(and it shows on my account) and Uber can't even give me that. If the money issue happens again, I may switch to lyft. As a company, you can not promote your business telling people you will make quick money or earn money fast if your app doesn't work correctly. Thats considered FALSE information. I understand that apps/programs have issues sometimes, but one thing you must try to avoid is mess with someones money (and I mean hold/freeze it).
Bugs. App has been a great filler for a part time job, and allows you to make money that is suitable for you. There are some bugs though, such as the acceptance feature of matching the driver to a delivery and duplicate deliveries. I had an order to pick up for an estimated 42 dollars, so naturally I was intrigued to see such a high delivery. It turned out that once arriving to the restaurant and waiting for the order almost 10 minutes, I was told that the order was already picked up by someone . This made me feel like I was cheated out of the order. In result, uber support gave me a 3 dollar incentive for my “patience and wait time”. I understand that I did not complete the pick up ,however, there should be higher accountability on their behalf for falsely matching me to an order that was already in progress of being delivered. I know the tip on the order was at least 33 dollars due to the short total of 10 miles. I am a new driver less than two weeks in on uber and I feel that as a new “employee” I was neglected. This is an amazing app if you want to boost your earnings without compromising full time work schedule. I’m glad they constantly update the app to improve the map quality and driver experience. I just wish my time and anticipation was worth more than 3 dollars … Try it out with a reliable vehicle that you don’t mind driving for hours at a time or racking up miles. Once you gain a decent strategy and stick to it you’ll definitely see more good results.
Flat Rate Trip Promotion. I have been driving for Uber for almost 3 years. Recently has been the worst and most testing times to deal with support. They recently added a new feature called flat rate fare and anytime it ends unjustifiably Uber priority support can not source any information that can help resolve your issue. I have twice, had to cancel a order through support because a previous driver took it. Both times, it ended my flat rate and said I declined 2 or more orders in less than a hour. Not only is this false, when I called priority support they only read me the guidelines I have access to on my application. Twice I have been bounced around to 5+ representatives who can not assist. Twice I have spoken with supervisors that have also told me “we do not have knowledge on flat rate promotions”. Why is it that you can offer a promotion, that is faulty in the app, and not have one single representative that can help without transferring to 4 other peers? Also, if it happens to end and you do not document (screenshot) the information to ‘prove’ that you signed up for it, they will not assist any further because it doesn’t even show up in their system. Not for now, nor future promotions. Everything that’s new has an adjustment period and flaws. That however, is not for the partners of Uber to be penalized and left without repercussions. This is overwhelming and discouraging to future partners. As a high tiered driver, I would not recommend to anyone.
I used to love Uber. I used to love Uber, however, I think as a driver we should be paid more when a rider cancels or a restaurant hands orders to the wrong customer. I used to work at a restaurant so I can tell when an employee just messed up an order and refuses to make it again. I also do not like the fact that I sit for 30 minutes at time waiting for an order. I am in the city of Dallas people always want food and they always need a ride. I believe my eating should not be lowered just because a few riders only tipped $5 and less and I refused to take the trip. I have been driving for Uber since 2021. It is not my fault if there is traffic or that the restaurant didn’t give me fresh food, so when I receive a bad rating for my promptness for deliveries and rides, it’s insulting. Considering the time and mileage I have put on my cars making sure customers get the correct food and get to their destinations correctly, there should some kind of incentive. I am polite always and I can not help if someone else is in a bad mood. I do not ever have customers lower their tips, but I do not appreciate low ratings over things I can not control. I try to make sure that every customer is comfortable and satisfied with my services, so to see customers taking advantage of that really upsets me. Uber makes enough money to give drivers a larger incentive for their time, so I really hope that the company as a whole can learn to be more considerate of people’s time.
Something has happened with Uber or the app. I have been a polite, courteous, compassionate, detail-oriented driver for three months and now all of a sudden in the last week, there are so many glitches in the app, which reflect negatively on me and my account. IE: saying I was rude, when I never have dealt with people in person except maybe three times for alcohol orders and never received negative feedback, and then one customer who called saying they couldn’t find their order, then while on the phone they said they found it but someone was screaming at me, very rudely, and any incident I’ve had, I’ve immediately reached out to support and screenshot all encounters. Another few examples are when you’re trying to accept orders, you click accept and then it goes away and counts against you, then another instance of directing you to a location in which you never received a pick-up order request for, and when you reach out to support, they correct it, but still ding you for it. I really hope they get to the root of this, because I enjoy driving for Uber and up until a week ago, when I started having issues with the app, it started reflecting poorly on me, and as a law student, I know to record and have proof of everything, and I hope they can resolve these issues soon as I take my jobs very seriously and treat my careers, Uber and customers very kindly, and as if it were me on the other end receiving orders.

My One and a Half Year Experience. As many of you know the new app has additional "steps" or "clicks" to see information that was previously accessed or viewed at a glance. At the same time removing valuable features that were an institution of the older app. For the sake of a user friendly interface and safe experience I much preferred the how you could easily scroll from the main screen a tiny bit to see both your daily earnings and the time you have been driving for. This has now been hidden away through clunky navigation. Another featured that has been butchered is the ability to see both your cancellation and acceptance rate. Nowhere to be seen. How are we supposed to track how we are doing? Last but not least another issue I've always had (even on the previous app since DAY 1) is the reduction of audio when a request comes through. Music is always playing in my car and it is a huge safety issue when I have to force quit the uber driver app and restart it just to fix the audio level after it gets affected by a request notification. I do this about x5 times a day. Sometimes more since the latest rendition of the app. Honestly, I think a large percentage of your driver's would prefer the old app reinstated. When you hinder the user experience at the cost of frustrating your driver's and putting their safety at risk, due to a poorly designed update you really have to listen to your employees on this one. Can't wait to see that copy paste response ;)
Giving a platform for work is one star. I’m giving 1 star for this app, it has lot of issues. Navigation suggestions are not the best. Flexy pay was easy in older version but new upgrade has no options. Viewing weekly income and daily income were easy on older version. Jobs information are not clear enough , street info and suburb info might help the drivers to decide the job acceptance . Giving jobs to the driver who are wrong directions are common error of this app. Missing the tolls used or giving tolls that are not used is another issue. Dropping pick up point and drop off point errors , drop off is not big issue but pick up point error makes work difficult and time wasting. Rates on traffic jam or waiting for someone is ridiculously low. New upgrade looks like more data and battery consuming not sure yet but its continuous sign of finding jobs and you are online sign irritates me . I know I’m online blinking all the time irritates me. And many more . There’s only one good thing , waiting que info separately in Sydney domestic and international terminal helps to decide . Some of the streets are closed for many years in Sydney but app suggests to go through that .
What have you done?!. So I updated the app thinking that a few of the bugs have been sorted and I can now go back to using the app without having customer messages repeatedly read out to me until I click on it & the volume showing max but so quiet until I close then open it again and when I type a message to the customer it disappears & deletes it before I get to finish typing, just to name a few. Oh, the most annoying & disappointing one is showing that I have received a tip repeatedly for the one tip getting me excited think I’ve received many but it’s just one repeated. But, no, now I cannot even hear the guided directions even though it shows the volume as up full, the message a customer sends while I drive I can’t hear being read out now either which is dangerous while I’m driving as it also disappears quickly now. Arg so many things. Also, to try & find in the help section where to tell you guys this is not easy to find at all.
Not happy. I had another bad experience now. This 8 hour break system wasted my day. I am on the Uber app going to check the 8 hours break time. Instead of hit the side menu my hand slipped and hit go. I called Uber support team they said I have to wait next 8 hours to go back online as they can’t help. She also mentioned thus is common mistakes nowadays driver doing. I question if it’s common mistake why they not fixing as I am loose my day income because of this Go sign front of the screen. I am really disappointed with the service I am having with Uber now. They said they have more support Center and green light hub but no one can help anyone anyway. I also agree with the other people complaining about map I noticed map taking through very tiny street where driver may cause damage on his car. Road sign not update. One occasion I got fine for no right turn. It was very sunny day I pick up customer and as soon I start driving out from his building the road is changed to one way only. But I couldn’t see the sign as I had things down to protect the sun shine I just followed the map directions. Not happy at all.
No sound. My app has no sound at all. No sound when receiving a delivery request and even when i start driving theres no sound on the navigation but when i connect to car Bluetooth or headset it will ring. Tried restarting and resetting and uninstalling but its still like that. Check my phone settings and its all fine with other apps only this uber driver app. Please help thanks Until now no one had contacted me or tried to fix my issue from the developer side. Still no sound when receiving a request. Please help look into this problem its been like a month and its still the same. I’ve updated the app as well and install/reinstall but nothing happened. Someone please help me out..
Passengers vomititing. When passengers vomit in your car it is time consuming and very frustrating because trying to claim a cleaning fee is pointless because of loss of earnings and time cleaning someone else’s vomit and trying to submit information won’t go through for some reason I have been doing u we for 5 years and this should be a lot easier but is not I am fed up with Uber they have reduced earnings when inflation has gone up I can’t earn enough to make ends meat for anyone who wants to do this job think again it’s a huge east of time and resources drivers are treated a second rate when you have to try and get compensation for such things as vomiting riders there should be a easier way of getting reimbursed for our time to do our jobs we already don’t get sick leave paid holidays annual loading if…ing hate this job I frustrates the hell out of me why I even sighted up!
Trips kilometres are paid unfair. Dear Uber driver app developers, I am writing this review to your app, and I am straight forward with what I am saying here. The trips we do are not paid properly. You guys manipulate the UberEats drivers partners kilometres. This is a big concern. I am loosing so much time to follow up each trip due to this issue. I am having evidence and I suggest that all the UberEats partners to have a look of their pay at the end of the trip and compare with the initial starting point, and you are going to see that you get paid for less kilometres. I know that you guys use google maps services and when the information is transferred in your UberEats app servers at the end of the trip, you can set a percentage between 5-20% deductions from that trip. Those money belong to the drivers are not yours. You get 25% for offering your service but your service is not accurate. You gotta fix this issue.
Notifications. For the last 6 months there is an issue where there is no sound on presentations of jobs even on the Uber page they recognise that there may be an issue when you plug the phone into a car USB trust me I have tried to plug the phone in I have left the phone unplugged I have turned up the volume the Bluetooth is not on I have deleted the Uber app and re-started the Uber app I have even gone to the extent of resetting my phone and reinstalling all of the apps again I have done this three times and done a hard reset of my phone before I have done this I have deleted the Uber app in case the backup of my phone is carrying any bugs or issues across to the backup yesterday I deleted the Uber app I deleted and reset my phone I reinstalled all of the phone again then I re-installed the Uber app and today I have noticed when you have the app on automatic except with the phone plugged in or not plugged in to a car USB there is no sound when you have the app on manual except where you have to touch the phone to accept the job with the phone plugged in or not plugged in the the sound works please assist with feedback from the engineering team
Uber Eats driver. Firstly, i am working with uber from more than one year on full time but now it is such a worst time i am facing because you are doing partiality with car drivers . In starting we earned $250 per day easily then we drop down to $150 per day and now it is the worst time that make us impossible to earn even $100 in a day. You can check my account from last month ,how much i am earning in a day . First you prefer push biker then motorbikes and in last comes the turn of car drivers . When we call you usually you always told there are not much deliveries in the area but it is totally fake . I cross check from 3-4 bike riders in last week and they told me they are earning minimum $250 in a day and even push bikers are earning more than us and you can check our account. I am really disappointed and i cannot expect this type of partiality from uber.
Surges, navigation, calculation of fares. Uber taking the ability to connect to Waze or Google Maps is bogus! They want us to use their navigation only but they get the roads and navigation incorrect consistently! For example doesn’t pick up “no right turns or one way street” Also Uber taking away the ability for drivers and riders to be able to see the rate at which surging to being calculated! This is unethical and dishonest! I used to also be able to log into the back office of Uber and see how fares are calculated and not I cannot but when I question a ride being low they tell me “based on the estimated distance and time the ride was correct based on upfront fares” but they do not consider sitting in traffic for extended time above normal and do not increase the fare unless you argue with them why they should. They also never give you the breakdown of how the fare was calculated and if they do there is no where for Drivers to actually double check it is correct
WORST DRIVER SUPPORT EVER. Don’t bother asking for help cause all you’ll get is a generic copy paste response after hours of waiting. They don’t read the question, just the topic title and then just a simple copy paste from their policy book. And if you reply back to explain further they WILL NOT answer. ☝️☝️Hahaha the above is a 3year old complaint which is still happening to this day 2022. This is the new scam Uber is running Misleading quests and promotions to win you back which they do not honor after weeks of completing the required quest. Oh and they improved their generic response a bit but the outcome is still the same (not resolved as with all other driver’s issues ) all issues drivers and delivery partners are saying are very true and extremely hazardous when faced whilst driving on the road trying to make an honest earning. I would not and will not recommend this horrible experience to anyone. This time not waiting for a generic response lol but you readers might get a laugh out of it ; )
Uber Eats to Uber X. The whole experience working with Uber is good but the support team can’t really solve your problems. I recently upgraded my account after almost 1.5 years from ubereats to Uber X and so far they have blocked my Uber eats account as well without any prior notification that it’s going to be blocked. I don’t think this was necessary as it’s the same app which is used for both services and blocking my Uber eats account made no sense at all. Being a rider partner it can be very devastating financially when you can’t work and earn the weekly wage to pay your weekly expenditures. That’s the way working with Uber because the base fare is below average and as an add on Uber always deducts a fee for every delivery which you never really understand what for especially when you’re not providing any good support. They have a whole bunch of terms and conditions, documentations and verification processes but in a country like Australia that’s not a problem and can be done within days. Despite repeated calls to the support team, as that’s the only way to reach for help, none has yet helped to solve the problem and it’s been over a week now. Don’t know what the new head of Uber Australia is doing here apart from the latest weekly podcasts. This isn’t really expected and has been disappointing. Please fix the communication gap between the driver partner and the support team.
Zero stars for uber eats. I’ve been doing uber eats for 2 years in Sydney this is completely my personal opinion it might be different for yous 1. Uber eats has a massive market and hype in the customer this is why there are more orders but 2. One of the worst platform for a driver the pay is around 5- 6 Aud depending on the circumstances it doesn’t matter if it is too far 3. Cheating, fraud by notifying riders there is quest but this is the biggest scam uber makes 3. (A) there is no real quest he doesn’t want you to delivery for other platforms, you have to be hooked to uber eats Uber reduces the money you actually have to get and includes in the quest 3. (B) 60 deliveries for 140 $ this is one of its kind, but when start doing it your base pay and service charges will automatically reduced I don’t know why. The normal pay rate is 2$ per kilometre and service charge but you will miss something for every delivery. My suggestion is better switch to higher pay rate delivery platforms because the fuel prices are skyrocketing every day
Don’t even thinking to work for this company. Hi uber i just want to quit driving with you . But before that i let you know that your policies and your way of treating the drivers are very much my concern to quit uber . In South Australia your prices to customers are cheap but driving in South Australia are very expensive. Our registered fees i paid 600 more for a year compare to normal registration . 8 years of car age other states minimum 10 years , Fuel expensive , your jobs are cheap . Your commission are 27.5 % way to much . No surge on jobs any more . No thank you for your business . I think you should compare uber drivers pay rate to melbourne sydney drivers pay rate . And consider all the things like registration, and other costs aswell . Government and you charge alot if we stick with you . So sorry . I quit and I believe all drivers should think to quit driving uber in future . Your policies are not for drivers your policies are for yourself only . Suspiciously not getting enough trips. I’ve been doing only Uber Eats since Mar/19 and the majority, not to say all, the trips are done during the weekends. However, I’ve noticed that since the beginning I haven’t got enough trips after 8pm (sometimes even after 7:40pm), even though I was (and I’m) always available during that period. Lately, I have been having problems receiving trips, meaning, not receiving them at all. I’ve checked with other mates driving in the same area and they’re all getting 6-12 trips from 6pm-9pm at least. I’ve reinstalled the app, restarted the iPhone multiple times. But nothing seem to be working fine. One of my friends has just signed up to Uber Eats and he’s getting way more trips that I am. I’m not sure if it’s a problem with me personally, which I think it’s quite impossible, or with the algorithm used by Uber. I’m only giving 3 stars because I enjoy the usability of the app. At least, when I do get trips it is really easy to navigate through the app as it has a good UX.
Overall very good. For most day to day activities, the app is sound. Usually little issues are addressed quickly by devs and some niggly functionality issues can be improved through doing surveys. My biggest criticism lately is the “verify order” extra steps which means 2 extra button presses for every order. The silly thing is that 99% of all orders are stapled closed so I can’t “verify” the order. Ultimately getting the order correct should lie with the business providing the goods so what’s the point of this? Beyond this, it takes the mapping awhile to update certain changes; I’ve been living in an area with roadworks for the past 1.5 years and it still reflects very old mapping on the app. Good user experience overall
Could do so much better. For a billion dollar company, the app is actually not that great. Maps are so terrible that it guides you to dead ends and no left/right turns. If you lose gps signals you pay tolls from your pocket as Uber can not detect if you went through a toll road. For a city like Sydney you keep losing signals in the cbd area all the time. Also if you are not given the toll amount, Uber expects you to go through every trip and spend hours to calculate how much you are underpaid and do their job for them and waste hours of your personal time. Current version requires a lot of bug fixes. If you toggle preferences it will still send you requests, ultimately have to cancel the request and it impacts cancellation rate and everything else.
Extremely Poor Support. The apps safety features for drivers are extremely lax, I was physically assaulted by a customer a police report filed and the customer complained causing Uber to blame me when I was physically assaulted. Any document support is also useless, the contact number doesn’t deal with anyone who provides support for it, none of the approvals team are genuinely trained in what is a legal government document at least for my region (Australia). Make sure you never have to provide a temporary government document to them, they will flounder and promise it’s being escalated and say you will receive call backs all which will never come and never be resolved. Was promised 24 hours has taken over a week still unresolved. Have been refused to be put through to feedback lines after calls to avoid negative feedback reports and email or through app tickets ignored for days and months in case of my physical assault case.
Poor App. The maps is terrible and not updated, the directions given by the navigator are also vague compared to google maps. There is also no system to hold the restaurants accountable for taking their time to make meals which is appalling. Additionally, you can get your account suspended from ordering food as a customer. When a store doesn’t deliver the correct contents you press I did not receive contents too many times they suspend your account. This is not acceptable considering the customer has paid for the deliver service. When you intend to reactivate your account they send you automated responses insinuating that you have conducted fraudulent activity and that you must read and understand the terms of use to reactivate. How about you fix the refunding use in app? Or provide a customer support line. I understand that some people may abuse the system and conduct fraudulent activities but you cannot assume that every person that makes multiple refund requests is committing fraud. On 8 seperate occasions across my account and my partners Subway Helensvale did not pack the cookies we ordered and we requested immediate delivery/refund. I understand that it is not the drivers fault, it is the restaurants but maybe they should be held more accountable in these circumstances.
Help drivers in the dark. Would be really cool if as you come up on a address the house numbers started appearing on both sides of the road. That way you could work out what order the numbers go in as you drive up the street. Particularly handing at night in the rain when both houses before my customers house had their lights on & my customer didn’t. Would also love to be able to accept orders via my Apple Watch in case I’ve left phone in car or on my motorbike. Finally it would be very cool to know in real time areas of high demand (nothing more annoying to driving where you think your next order might come from to get an order where you have just been) or even if a restaurant has high number of orders backed up. Very frustrating to get to a restaurant as quick as you can to find out there is a 30 minute wait.
Navigations for bicyclists. It was a time when there were two options in Uber app settings whether to use uber navigations or google maps while delivering or picking the order, but now there is no more option left for bicyclists . If you are on a push bike account and in order to navigate, anyhow you have to go on google maps through uber app and If you don’t want to open google maps and prefer to stay on Uber App then you might have difficulty to understand the map as Now Uber maps doesn’t give you proper directions as it still gives to a Car or motorcycle account holders. Uber maps doesn’t give you proper way like from where to go , which street to choose or from which point take a turn. It just shows your position and your pickup and drop off points in maps . you should give options to select which maps a delivery partner wants to use. Not everyone is familiar with google maps
Catastrophic localisation & money issues. I‘ve been using „Uber Driver“ for about 3 months now and it was an absolute nightmare sometimes. I thought it was a cool idea because I like driving and making money on the side. Turns out I got tricked by Uber. For the first 3 weeks the app worked perfectly fine and I got a minimum of 10$ per delivery, which I loved. 3 weeks went by and I started to get 5$ orders nearly all the time. Aswell as the map would always just drift around and was not able to show me where I was or just show that I‘m 3 streets to the right or in the ocean. Which is a nightmare while your trying to find your customer and deliver the food warm. Sometimes the app would make me wait up to 10 minutes before showing me the right address and location. Sometimes I just got logged off, telling me that there is an issue and I would have to run a test while having a customer waiting for their warm food. I would recommend working with Google Maps, which would fix that issue instantly. And also don‘t pay someone more money at the beginning and then drop it by half after they think that this is a good job to do on the side. Can‘t even imagine how bad it would be while driving customers around. But to be fair, Uber has made me enough money even more then I thought sometimes. But these issues HAVE to be fixed asap!
Navigation problem and payment. If there is less than 1 star I will rate it The navigation is too noisy it shows too many times wrong way, closed way or no road at all. And when send the support the delay 15 - 20 minutes they send back $1.5 no more that. The support send annoying message and say: you have an option to choose another application. Another thing when you have 2 orders you can’t know the rate of each order as you are the work for nothing. Just because you have an order to that area just take another one with extra $1. Replay for developer response You asked me to try force close. I every time do that. is not work and I change my device to make the Uber app work but there is no hope to be that. For more information you put a link in your respond it shows that you try to solve the problem but the link is not work and it shows this message: “We’ve moved a lot of stuff over the years, and it must’ve been lost in the mix....” So please don’t make your self as an interest to my review and send an old link. However you asked me to reach the support team to resolve, do you think I didn’t make it?! :/ I already tried to reach the support team too many times, and every time I send a request they block my account. And I can’t get any orders requests for a 2 days or until they respond to my request with no solve the problem. :’( So please don’t ask me to contact the support team because my account now received orders requests. :’)
Misleading and often failing. The app continues to show surge pricing that disappears when an actual job comes up. I also do not get any benefit for being the only car in an area - I will stop doing that from now on so there will be st tonnes zero cars available. My specific area is very different from the city area it is lumped into and Uber is under pricing itself and me by charging around -2.5 of what the local cab company charges. Customers would be willing to pay quite a bit more for more coverage - which would lead to more drivers in the area and with that more customers. The Pokolbin area of NSW id a perfect place for Uber but its customers and drivers are terrible let down by the pricing settings of the app - it is a very different place from Newcastle and should be should be treated just way - otherwise Uber will fail there.
Updates make it worse. Nothing more annoying than an update that makes things worse or more difficult. Uber always tell us to confirm the drop-off spot as soon as the passenger gets in the car. In the past, the app would immediately show you the final drop off spot as soon as you start at the job, so you could confirm with the passenger. It also gave the destination as a landmark (e.g. Novotel hotel). Now, starting the job just gives you the first navigation direction (e.g. turn left into Smith Street). To confirm the final destination, you have to tap the direction and then scroll all the way to the bottom. And even then, it doesn't give a landmark, it only gives us a street address. I don't know the street number that Hotel is at. And my passengers only know the name of the hotel and not what street it's in. Please go back to the previous method which is far more streamlined
Driving in Queensland may not be worth it + bad support team and app bugs. Be prepaid if signing up in qld this process can and will take up to a month with the required government restrictions for booked hire ! And will cost you close to $1000 dollars you are not told about until you start working your way through the department of transports booked hire process! And Uber does not supplement this cost ! Here’s a list of what to do first Medical $110 Driver authorisation $ 185 up to 2 months wait time - ( federal police check ) Certificate of inspection $100 Extra ctp for ride share $80 on top of regular ctp Booked hire licence $ 245 per year Insurance $175 -$ 600 per year Total cost minimum $895 to $1300 Total time for all application to process 4 - 6 weeks Uber has bug issues I have just become a driver and found after all the cost and 6 weeks of waiting that I can not receive ride request due to bug in app that does not give me option to choose Uberx 3 days spent on phone with Uber support who can not fix problems but only have a level 2 call you back with in 24 hours x 3 Dyas now ? That’s 72 hours so far with no income made How are you meant to pay bills and live ? Not good enough Uber ! These are people’s lively hoods at stake Where does all that commission money go if you can’t afford to support your partners better !
Poor experience as driver ubereats. They never listen. Or even check about the truth. The law didn’t protect the driver, and the driver couldn’t say anything. Recently they can just stop my account just because they checked about the verification wrongly and I never had any chance to say anything. Everything is just one-sided and the rules never benefited from the driver-side. It is so bad. I try to appeal because it is not my fault and I don't do any wrongdoing. They insisted on something I cannot prove, they say my account violates the community guidelines because I am not the one taking selfies, which is how can that have proof because of the system wrongdoing they relied on and they just cut me off my only way to earning and continue living. It is just so bad already like the driver is powerless and they can just cut off without even giving you any chance to speak even though I am pretty sure I am not doing anything bad. But the rules only benefited the company and customer. I was so shocked that I could not even work anymore. Living is been hard I cannot earn money, but surprisingly the one who works hard to continue living are being treated unfairly and judged to shut up their mouths and all one-sided. And I come here to only see another bad reputation from Uber itself, showing how bad this company is after all.
i losted account unfairly back in 2019. i had been also as many said unfairly treated had positive 500plus feedbacak on deliverys in 2019 april losted my account even im profesionalntaxi driver with acrediation in Australia i tried dispute uber desciion they wont give chance and open again account inspike to fair work they even lodged for some court but you nothing was done i feel very disapointed and was discriminated as followed rules just back then i losted account and never had goten written even reason the community guidelines was followed and all but that was issue with inthink system deceided customer service were unpolite over phone and in hub as well now im doing other job taxi and as well security when i can also drive yello and zoom2u and no issues is secondary work driving car and registartion and fuel was never cheap never was covered i understood why people who work are nonhapoy i was in same shoes u can be best driver but u will lose accsess without even making fault is hard to do against unfair system what uber eats deliverys or uber drive has u cant win
The current app is the worst ever.. This current version app is the worst ever. It's too slow action, When I've already past a tuning point the app still telling me to continue go ahead. Many times I have to reverse back to turn into the street I just past( obviously can't do it in the main road or during the day in busy traffic), I then end up have to go around to come back to the street I've missed. The rider recently gave me 4 reports in relation to the Navigation which mostly happened in this situation. It's not only the inconvenience, it's dangerous!!! I hope Uber can work hard to find the solution or I will start to use Google map- that would be inconvenient as well because it doesn't showing the rider's name and other information such as address, the rider's rating and contact. I'm not happy at all about this new version app. The font size of the address of picking up and destination is too small that I was unable to see easily When I’m driving, it’s also dangerous to make efforts to see the address clearly.
Terrible terrible experience with customer support. Uber customer is very unprofessional team when it’s comes resolving driver issues my Account was accidentally deactivated by kids taken someone photo on my Uber app during the COVID-19 time dealing with Uber support is a nightmare 🤬🤬 they didn’t reply anything for 3 weeks and didn’t even investigate and telling me fraudulent activity happened read community guidelines ok I’m sure I explain everything in messages exactly what happened but they only replied automated message really disappointed ☹️ never thought dealing with accidental mistake would a nightmare. Still can’t read messages and resolve issues if you resolve issues what is purpose for customer support team. Let me tell this is 1st time ever in 4 year I have to with customer support and it’s a big big headache. It’s was accidental mistake on the selfie photo by my kids. I have all the details of the person kids took photo including number email address and by the person still they can’t do anything to help fix it up what can we expect from them,
Very poor.. 7/10 places it sends me to are not the correct locations, I’ve had it try to send me down streets that don’t exist to get to a house that is no where near the supposed location, I’ve had it it send me to shops that are apparently located in the middle of a huge car park with the store being nowhere near said location, I could understand once or twice but 7/10 times is unacceptable. The worst part is there is no way for a user to drop a pin to correct it for other drivers. At the end of the day time is money and you need to be productive in order to make it profitable but Uber does not seem to give a toss as you’re an “independent contractor” and if you don’t like it then leave it approach and attitude. Not only that but I had one drop off today with a highlighted red pin due to orders going to the wrong location due to the Uber gps in the past, I dropped of the order at the highlighted pin, at the correct unit so I thought, thankfully the customer saw the picture I took and called me explaining that it’s not his address and I was able to get the order back and hand delivered to the customer 100meters from the original drop location, I showed him my phone and the Uber app where it told me to drop the items. Keep in mind this was a no stopping on the side location and had to drive a few km with multiple Uturns, so it’s not just the drivers this effects but the end user/customers too.
Not Driver friendly and worker friendly, Stop using uber and avoid uber all people. In Australia, there is no law from federal government to control uber. I strongly recommend all users after my years of experience and other users and drivers feedback that stop and avoid using uber uber eats and uber taxis. Uber has closed my account permenently forever with reason that another mobile device login and someone else login my account. I went to court, federal government and they said I am correct and I didnot do anything wrong and Uber has done unfair to me aussie citizens, but asbfeo, federal government and court cannot do anything against Uber. There is no commonwealth law which can take actions against Uber's wrongdoing and unfair outcomes to passengers, ubereats customers and uber drivers...I strongly recommend everyone that just for safety and our commonweath law, avoid and stop using uber and there are alternative options available. use black and white or yellow cab where customer is safe under video cameras, photos taken automatically every few seconds, and it is under our commonwealth laws in all ways, but Uber is not under commonwealth law and safety in many ways. do not risk, Uber Company in upcoming years after five years and ten years, will definitely lose business, complete faith from people and society of Australia due to bullying and unfair behaviour.
Great opportunity. Being a Uber Driver has opened opportunities for us that we did not think were available to us. It requires little effort to do something that you actually enjoy doing, and get paid for it. Yes you do need to make the little extra efforts that you probably would not do so often, like the daily car wash and clean-up instead of weekly. It takes very little time when it is done daily, as it isn’t really dirty, just make sure there is nothing tucked under the seats ect. Vacuum the mats and seats for that bit of gravel left behind by shoes and bags. Be extra politely your guests (yes they are guests, paying but still guests) Supply a bottle of water on that hot day or evening, and maybe a breath mint? Just make it fun, but don’t be “over the top”. You have the right to refuse that rude drunk client without penalty, Splend and Uber are both there for your protection Have fun
Uber driver fare pay. I am giving 1 star because nowadays uber they don’t care about delivery drivers cause they have lot of delivery drivers in Sydney Australia if 4/5 drivers are upset they don’t care about that and the main things is -I think uber knows clearly that delivery drivers are using their own car/motorbike , own petrol, and wasting their time and uber pay is vey low and I wan to say uber support to look after this payment system cause uber driver are doing their job to earn some money not to lose money and uber taking lot of money from uber drivers you can make a profit from uber eats app and from restaurants also and you need delivery drivers money too this is really unfair I will request uber to be fare with delivery drivers and look after the pay things, delivery drivers and uber need to walk together instead of leaving back to delivery drivers At last make a fare pay to delivery drivers without taking their money.....
The system is a big scam. If you just open a friendly conversation with your riders and ask them about how much their trip was and how much you got paid you will be shocked , now off course they don’t rip you off on every trip , I guess the system is designed to be way smarter , but over the period of 3 months I’ve asked 38 riders about the charge and to my surprise 16 jobs were calculated wrong and when you call the support they tell you sorry it’s a system mistake , after a while I realised my cancellation rate is going down even all I do is accept not cancel , I thought this weird but I had took a step further to hang a dash cam looking over my phone to prove that I have not canceled one job and my rate jumps from 3% to 4% right after dropping off the first trip of the day ,could be because I’m close to be a platinum which if I maintain for a month they’d allegedly give me $500 , that’s my only explanation to why it happened now ! Knowing im the type that does all sorts of jobs but doesn’t explain how many riders have been ripped off and how much that makes the company out of stealing drivers hard work.
Aweful geo fencing with destination setting. I drive into the city from Melbourne’s South East suburb and put my destination on Collins S but on many occasions was sent to the Melbourne airport. It’s ridiculous when you can pin point a passenger within metres but when it comes to the driver, that pin point accuracy goes out the window. I’ve emailed and spoke with you support team on a few occasions and they advise that they are trying to help me make more money. If I wanted to go way further than the city, what’s the point of having a destination filter/setting? A few minutes either way , I understand but when it takes nearly half an hour to get back to where I want to go it not acceptable. And if I cancel the ride, you; Uber will punish me for cancelling a ride. And the other one is “I”lol pass you comment onto our development team” this would have been sorted way before but Uber blatantly disregard this for the driver. Lift you game Uber!!!! And fix it now!!!!
Uber Driver App Broken and Pay. Being an Uber eats delivery partner has been a great experience in terms of work but the Uber driver app is very much broken. It make things hard to deliver a great experience to the customer. A few examples; when I send a message to customer I can get about 4 words in until the message box disappears (even when parked) you need to stay almost stone still to send a sentence. (I get this is a safety feature to avoid typing while driving) but maybe adjust movement until the message box disappears? Along side those issues. When a customer sends you a message, The message will pop up vigorously 6-8 times and the way to stop it is to click on it. Makes things hard when you delivery food and are required to take a photo and in my experience blocking the map and have made me make a wrong turn. I’ve also experienced massive delay on viewing earnings after a trip and seeing past trips. Pay is very much hit and miss. Personally it has affected me massively as I’m only available to do delivery’s at night. And relied on longer trips to pay for my waiting for a job time, fuel, and general running costs. I’m giving a 3 star as everything else is great. Just the app and pay needs to be adjusted.
Worst app ever very bad experience with mapping (not showing speed limit on uber navigation screen). This app might costs huge amount of fine and dangerous road experience especially main road and huge traffic, uber navigation driver use for best inconvenience and accuracy rather than google map and map and waze but this app version since couple days worst nightmare , even though setting is fine, during ride, uber navigation on screen not showing speed limit at all (disappeared) now navigating through other app is completely inconvenient, very bad driving experience especially this happening during easter and weekend when high demand of service on the road people cant afford traffic fine cause your negligence even though i tried to report to uber their cheap abroad labour model , no response yet its been 24 hours. They should report to developer this issue asap it might cost a lot. Driver choose uber platform rather than didi cause of uber navigation accuracy and ease i guess
Earnings again. They replies to my review and that was the same automatic response given to all the other people. Your support is the worst may it be call or chat they do not read or listen wt the person is say they just keep on speaking the robotic response again and again. Uber does not even pay according to minimum wage/hr still i never complaint and being a rider that on a two wheeler is tough for all of us and still there is nothing motivating in terms of earnings for them. Instead you don’t even give deliveries now from a month now i have no earned even that much that i can pay for my basic needs above that you guys just don’t care this is my only source of earnings and what i getting? You just keep on hiring like anything cz of which the old employees suffer and i see when I’m sitting from 3 hr for getting one delivery atleast bicycle riders are getting deliveries in heaps I don’t think that’s equality. Stop giving atomatic response if you really care abt the reputation and employees.
Change ‘online’ time back to ‘driving’ time pleasssseeee. This app was wonderful for the past two years I have been doing UberEats until recently when they updated the app, it has become useless and not worth it anymore. I am a full-time student studying and working UberEats to help fund my uni expenses. I used to do Uber in the early mornings before my class or after uni in the afternoon. Somedays when I rest throughout the day, I open Uber during the night and get few orders. Recently after the new update, they have changed the 12hr ‘driving’ time limit to 12hrs ‘online’ time limit. In the past few weeks after the update I am only getting 1-3 order during these 12hrs online time, they the app goes offline for 8hrs. By the morning time when it goes back online i am already at uni. Instead of counting the ‘driving’ time used to make these 1-3 orders like before and keeping me online to receive new orders it counts the time the app was ‘online ‘ regardless if i was resting or if I was at home. This is soo inconvenient and useless. Now I can’t make money on it as before and therefore I am forced to quit Uber and find another job.
Disappointed and frustrated. Everything was going well. In July, I changed my mobile phone and installed driver app on that. I signed in and tried to go online. The app asked for selfie and so did I took selfie. The next thing is my account was deactivated permanently. I tried so hard to contact support team but no luck. Trying to contact again and again for about a week with hope they resolve it. I was so tired that I stopped trying more. Now, week before this day I tried to sign in again. The support team suggest to sign up with different email. So, I did it and upload all documents. After doing everything when I pressed go online app said to contact support team. Two days back I receive an email that your account can’t be activated. Today, I decided I should write a review here to help other people to be aware to dark side of uber. I has been so frustrating experience driving with uber.
Great. Find Uber delivery app to have a great UI and quests. Suggestions - keep quests achievable (anything over 55 to 120 in 4 days is not reasonable) - Woolies and alcohol delivery prices need to go up (QLD) way too under priced. - add option to cancel : unable to find adequate parking and also option to cancel because another driver took the order. - when going active online and you’re driving to a particular suburb or cluster area to be able to set deliveries for that area as you're driving along the way because after 3 consecutive no’s the app pauses and you lose your GPS directions in the app. So suggesting that you’re able to mark the area you want to pick up in. would be great to set location in app for GPS to pick up just in that area. - when you get a double order, show a summary of both drop off locations. - really annoying when you’re driving and a message pops up and distracts you when driving and messes up your turn off because it won’t leave or give you the option to cancel out of it while driving. If this setting can just be removed and perhaps just a ping notification advising a message is available. - also same for new requests…if there’s a way for a request to pop up without interrupting the GPS maps while driving that would be great. Thank you!
More travel for less money.. I have been working now for Uber for almost 7 years and I can tell you that this app is the best it’s easy to use very user friendly and a lot of good features you can benefit from, however, with all that being said there is only one major problem which I have been complaining to Uber about for almost 2 years now, The app will send you a job that can be up to 30 km away and the job will only be for a distance of 1.5 km and so depending on your commission with Uber you can earn a maximum of five dollars for the 35 km travelled, that’s horribly wrong and it’s a waste of time for the drivers and waste of money. When I spoke to Uber about this they said that they have engineers looking at the problem and trying to fix it. And that was about six months ago!
Stupid Consecutive Trip banner. Every time I reject a consecutive trip because it’s too far away to pickup, it pops a banner right at the bottom which covers the screen to perform any action. It appears there about 3 times and has to be wiped upwards to remove. Sometimes during the process you end up accepting another trip that you don’t want to accept as well because it is another trip 15-25 minutes away. As a result you have cancel it and the cancellation rate goes up. This banner should appear on top of screen instead to avoid this and stop annoying the drivers. Not to mention the recent changes in algorithms means drivers are getting a lot of trips too far away especially when the area they are in is already extremely busy. No destination visible to drivers and jobs thrown at them while they already have rider onboard leads to cancellation because once the driver has finished the current job and when he looks at the waybill it is not worth travelling the distance for that job and has no choice but to cancel it. Riders are frustrated due to cancellation which is Uber’s fault as the App doesn’t show the details before accepting the trip. This can be fixed by Uber and drivers should not be blamed for it. It will also improve customer experience and substantially reduce cancellation rate.
User Experience Requires Improvement. Delivering by UberEats is my second job. As a digital designer, I find the app sometimes annoying :) When I arrive at the destination and while I’m typing a message to the customer, an auto-popup message appears with some suggested messages which I don’t want to use as it will trigger the timer. Then, it gets out of the typing screen and I have to go back to taking photos and continue my typing. Or on Home Screen on the top header, I choose to see my earnings while online but it keeps changing to the points. Also, map sends a coordinate to the other navigation apps and that sometimes land on a different addresses which I wish the Uber Driver app would send the address. I wish I could share more but this is not a user-testing form…
Minimum wage a dream. Get a job if you can do this as a last resort, society really will punch you in the gut when they are riding cheap and ask you for bottled water, which the pay 3 times the price in normal taxi but wouldn’t dare do the same. You earn $150 on average a day , less fuel, GST, car insurance, car maintenance no break pay , no public holiday rates as everyone in society gets and really what you are left in pocket is around $13-15 dollars an hour. All the strategy Uber tells you only works with 25% of Uber driver that do this 12 hours a day. On peak period everyone is out then you get hails to go to a pick up 12km out to deliver a customer on a journey for 7km which is only paid. You don’t get paid for the km you use fuel to get to the customer. So in action you actually in the losing side cause Uber take 30% of that and gives you nothing for the 12km you drove to get there which is running their service to begin with.
The support team is not wrong, I have the camera recording, they don’t check and suspend my account. Hopefully Uber will look after the drivers, some passengers are just want to taking advantage to the drivers like changing the location without paying more, if we are not follow what they say, they will give us the worst ranting and bad comments also report to the company, making a fake story, even I had the video recording is useless, because Uber is mainly listening to the passenger more than the drivers because the passengers are the one to pay! Uber can check the location on that day and time that I had followed the Uber map to dropped off the passenger which is Crown casino entrance, but the passenger want me to drop them off the other end which is more than 10 mins drive and more than 2 km, they didn’t want to change the drop off location in the apps, and they just been want me to drive without extra pay, the location is safely has security in there because it is Crown entrance, which mean that the passenger reported to Uber is UNREAL, also the security in the Crown entrance how I can be violent to them?? I hope Uber can consider the location in that spot, and can find the TRUTH!!
Worst customer service. I do uber eats and I want to move to uberX. So I uploaded every document they requested. They told it activates in3-4 days. And I was waiting for more than 1 week. There was no response from them till I contact them and when I contact them they say they need to done this and that and they tell I advice your complaint to our team and it takes 2-3 days. And after 3 days no response. Then if I contact them again then they tell the same thing for again and again but they don’t activate account. Worst customer service . I have applied for DiDi and ola they activated with in 2-3 days even they don’t have any of my documents. This uber have has all my documents since 2 years because I was doing uber eats but they are not activating account . I don’t even want to give even 1 star. I want to give 0 but there is no option. Worst uber customer service and they don’t even have telephone contact service. They are available only via email and they reply very late for email. Worst service 😡
Uber Driver App never Worked. I downloaded Uber driver app last week after been confirmed that my account is now active. It’s been 1 week and my account is still not working. I have been calling Uber everyday at least twice and they have been taking my complaint to technical staff who is sending me same message on repeat to send a screen shot of the issue. Till date the issue is still there and the so called Uber technical support team has not been able to resolve the issue. I think Uber is equating money on their technical team as the messages I have received can be sent by customer service because all they say is to close the app and reinstall it. I am very disappointed from the level of service they provide their drivers who are the one actually making money for the company. Good luck to everyone who decides to deal with them.
Uber driver in Argentina. I really enjoy driving and using the app and find that it is easy to use. I love how you receive a client minutes before finishing one, it allows fluidity and constant work. I also love how I can place my home destination to receive trips in that dirección when I need to. I have 4 criticisms to the app. 1. The maps in Argentina need an urgent update. Some roads have changed direction especially in the Buenos Aires province, the government has built tunnels which the app does no recognise and it also directs you to make left turns from avenues which do no permit you to. I also think the the maps should indicate where the dangerous areas of the city and province are so that the driver can decide whether or not to risk themselves and take the trip or not. 2. On occasion the “complete the trip” button disappears and I need to exit the app and reopen it to do a manual reset. 3. I use an internet radio app to listen to music or news during the trips, depending on what the client likes, however the radio app disconnects every time I receive and accept a trip. Overall a great app, I would give it 5 with these fixes.

Uber eat delivery is waste of time. It's not worth to earn through this as delivery orders price even didn't cover gas price. So, its more of just waste of time and money rather than earning .
Customer service. Worst customer service ever i have seen… they just pass the chat or call to other agent i had one small issue and they passes my chat more then 10 times and they didn’t solve it they just said it will reflect after 72 hours and still not solved

Now Uber started showing up front and destination which very kind and nyc towards driver but the problem they r taking 70 to 80 percent of the fare from ontario drivers i just drop a passenger and drive almost 96 kmh up down and they gave 24 CAD but i asked the passenger how much they paid for the ride they said 80 CAD i was shocked. not only this ride they r doing the same thing wid evry single ride that uber what is doing wid their driver. My Felow Ontario drivers its time to boycott uber and start working with Lyft. Uber should get a lesson

Avoid tolls. Maps forces u to go on toll road, even for short distances. We should have an option to avoid highways or toll roads. Customers do not like toll road.
Scam company. Countless scams from this company , starting from wrong trip breakdowns to lousy compensation for trips . Uber takes 50% of drivers earnings. Yup 50 % not 25%. Overall a ridiculous company . The app is inaccurate 60 percent of the time which then causes customers to get angry . Hope Uber gets unionized world wide
Modern day slavery. Uber takes advantage of drivers by providing wages that are ridiculous and pocket a third of the few dollars you make. The only way to make Uber make sense money-wise is counting on tips and speeding through the streets to save time to fit yet another delivery. Tips are like throwing dices, you can get nothing, a mere $2 dollars or more. You can’t really count on that to make a buck. Uber has algorithms in place that limit your earnings to the max. On average, a half-hour delivery will get you maybe $8... Cut off the car maintenance and gaz costs and you have less than the minimum wage. Uber Select for Premier Vehicles. I drive a Mercedes Benz that consumes high octane gas as well as provides less average compared to other vehicles YET Uber won’t let me drive SELECT until I complete 100 rides as an Uber X driver. This is super disappointing and above all the customer support on phone is completely ridiculous - very poor outsourcing job done by Uber. May switch to LYFT

Worst Uber map & Uber attitude. I drive Uber for 4 days. My riders reported safety concerns just because of Uber map. Don’t ever use Uber map. Use google map or Waze. I faced of so many issues with Uber maps while driving. They should judge drivers by listening on both sides. We have to use phone on dashboard to accept requests. Ryders made safety reports about it. They should have common sense to understand.
Uber should improve their policy in terms of payment and customer care/support. Most of the Customer support agents didn’t know about anything. Also they don’t have access to manage your account. Also Uber is paying too low to the drivers. Uber is getting more money than drivers even drivers are working hard plus they are paying for gas and car maintenance and stuff. Another thing is from last two weeks I didn’t get any ride, not even one and just wasted my time and money on gas and called customer support everyday and they didn’t know about anything.

Thief!!!!! 6$ for 58minuts drive and 4stops?. The app is horrible, tons of problems that even costumer service can’t help you to fix ! The worst is that gas price is going up everyday and Uber fare is getting lower than before ! Uber is scamming drivers without they notice ! What’s the reason that they don’t show you the exact price of trip ? And why app pays the tip later in an hr or two ! How you gonna know how much a costumer tipped you exactly !? You don’t see the tips until you have access to customer contact. And the awful part is giving you request for 4$ 35minuts drive! Or 20km Drive 2 order for 6-7$ in an hr 🤔 if you don't accept the cheap request the app is not giving you request for long long time more than an hr and is gonna start with 3$ to force you to accept the request if not there is no work for you. Uber is just a thief that is taking advantage of drivers specially newcomers and immigrants! I can't believe how this system exist? Legal fraud? Gas price is 168today and uber laying you hourly 7 /6 $ if you be online for 8 hrs minimum. So are we donkeys to just work and earn the gas money in full time shift? At the end of the week you might have 200$ left after paying for gas ever day , if you be lucky. I have no choice right now I have to work with Uber till I get a job, any job with minimum wage is worth very very more than working with Uber and letting them take advantage of you . Updated app doesn’t work.. Me and several people I know have the same issue. And I notice another person on here posted the same problem. You go into the app and it’s an endless cycle. It says get the app, so you click on that. Then it takes you to the App Store and click open on the app that’s already open. Then check status. Then get the app. The app is already downloaded?????? So frustrating.
It is getting worse and worse each day. 1. Gas prices are going up and we are still getting $3 orders. 2. Customers scambait and instead if what you are promised you get $3 for a 10km ride. 3. Customers give you a nefative review because they do not like the food. You are still in the risk if losing the ability to do Uber. 4. Less and less orders are received each day. 5. Very bad customer support. You cannot resolve your issues by message. You can only solve your issues with managers on the phone via phone. 6. Idiot drivers take $3-$4-$5 orders. 7. When Uber combines 2 orders or more, it cuts the pay by at least $1. Sometimes more. The only solution to that is to unionize.

Wasting time to work with Uber. Working with Uber most of time is just wasting our time. We spend our time out of home to make a little money, but normally it even doesn’t cover your gas and mileage of our car. I don’t recommend Uber to everyone. Go and find other ways to make money and don’t waste your time with Uber.
Not enough pay / worst GPS. Fuel is way to high for Uber to be offering $3 for base order. I’ve driven for 2 yrs and have watched order offers drop as everything goes up. Also, the GPS is the worst! Takes you to the wrong address at least 3 times a night. To the back, or gives you wrong way turn instructions. Maybe pay for an upgrade????
Worst support. Navigation gives you WORST and unsafe directions. Support is worst then navigation. App full of glitches. Unhappy . Better flip the burgers in McDonalds then driving with Uber

Getting worst. After Uber so called upfront update , Uber reduced drivers earning from Bowmanvilla to Pearson airport was $64 not is $57 from Oshawa was $57 now is $47 , from Whitby was $47 now is $39 , plus you’ll never get call in Toronto or return call , you gas around $30 to $35 to return to Durham , at the end of the day you’ll use total gas of $50 to $65 to earn $140 to $160 for 10 to 12 hours drive. The most annoying one is from Pickering to Toronto now is $25.93 , Uber are scamming drivers because they think they’ve enough drivers now . No single benefit for drivers, only another scam by 15% of car maintenance but you must do it at Mr. Lube where the charges are times two of other shops charge.. if you chat with rider about how much Uber charge you’ll be surprise , but when you end the trip then you’ll figure out that Uber gives different figures .. the current Uber upfront update only retired drivers can afford to drive Uber, young drivers with family should stop driving Uber and look for something else to do. Sound issue with CarPlay. After update, I’m unable to use CarPlay with my iOS (iPhone XR). Sometimes there is no voice even for the trip notifications, I missed so many trips. I have to keep looking at phone while driving. Even can’t play music from stereo if Uber app is in “On”
Worse management.. This kinda issue happened with me multiple times. They’re scamming the food delivery drivers. I was doing alcohol delivery. They gave me a high paying offer .As I accepted the offer, I saw it was a liquor store order in after hours like around 2:30, I messaged the team that the store probably be closed and It was 15 minutes far from me. Their employee said you must go there we are here to help you out you will be paid. And when I reached The store was already closed as expected. He said me to send pictures of the closed store and I send then he cancelled the order by himself I didn’t even said yet, which impacted bad on my cancellation rate. And When I said what about my fare he said he can’t do anything. Uber can’t do anything in those kind of situations like I travelled 13-15 kms without any reason. Seriously, Scammers!!
Unfair fare, masking fare under tips. Acceptance rate is 5% now, uber is giving worse orders in the history. 3$ for an hour orders. All the order starts from three dollars. Uber takes advantage of drivers by providing wages that are ridiculous and pocket a third of the few dollars you make. The only way to make Uber make sense money-wise is counting on tips and speeding through the streets to save time to fit yet another delivery. Tips are like throwing dices, you can get nothing, a mere $2 dollars or more. You can't really count on that to make a buck. Uber has algorithms in place that limit your earnings to the max. On average, a half-hour delivery will get you maybe $8... Cut off the car maintenance and gaz costs and you have less than the minimum wage. More rider information needed!!!!!!. As uber provides all the information of drivers like Car info, driver’s photo, name to the riders, a driver also need riders photo especially when picking up from the road sides.
No trip requests at all!. Hard to get trip requests. There’s days you don’t get any trips at all. Even a week. Tried contacting to the customer support many times. Don’t be a uber driver at all!!
So long to be able to work. It’s too long before I can start making deliveries. It’s been a year since I started the procedures. The last email I received from Uber support was on March 21, 2021 and it said I could go online in my UberDriver app in 10 to 15 business days and tonight I’m told I have to fill out a criminal background check… I already did this a year ago I even sent the screen capture of the email which proves that they had already received the verification by the company ISB but they are all mixed and still people diffemts every day who continue in the file, So I’m constantly getting better every day….. Why???

Compensation for Luxury Vehicles. I am driving a jaguar XJL as a full time driver. Yes, I actually enjoy driving all day :) I provide a water bottle, gum, and an executive car experience. My problem here is that my gas is more than the money I am making, not even including all other costs. I want to provide the best service to our Uber clients, but I need you guys to help do your part and compensate me accordingly. factor in my gas and pay me a little bit more please. Uber pay driver too low. Uber took 30% from driver fare, so drivers’ income mostly are depended by tips from customers. But lots of customers don’t pay tips even we deliver for 10km. So hourly pay for Uber eat driver is even lower than provincial minimum pay, the lowest hourly pay I got is only 7$ and highest is 15$ for doing Uber eat. If Uber eat app can change the tips system and took less percentage from drivers, it will be more fair. And Ubereat already took 30% from restaurants merchant side by every order, then took another 30% from Ubereat drivers, that’s way too greedy!!!

Doesn’t pay drivers well. Uber is no longer paying drivers well. If you drive 10 kilometres to pick passenger and then take 35 kilometres for drop off in about 40 minutes and then it pays you about $25 only which is nothing as you pay for gas and at the end of year.
READ REVIEW.. Giving 5 stars so my review gets seen. If I could give the overall experience 0 stars I would. The app is super buggy, regardless of how many “updates” they make to the app. The amount of times I have to close the app and reopen, turn off the gps voice because it’s annoyingly repeating itself, not being able to accept orders and the app makes my phone so hot I’m unable to see the screen for hours because of how dark it goes. I decided to make Uber eats my full time job because of the flexibility of making my own schedule and being my own boss. But, I noticed since I started working for Uber eats last year, the base pay has gone down to only $3. $3 is nowhere near sufficient for a trip over 10 minutes/10km. And only adding an additional $2 for 2 deliveries making the total $5? Pathetic. I also noticed that Uber added “cancellation rates” on the app under our profiles. I think it’s guilt trippy considering you only pay your drivers $3 per order. Uber needs to pay their drivers more if you want drivers like myself to stay employed for your company. Solely relying on tips is not fair to the customer and not fair to the drivers, especially considering the outrageous gas prices currently. Not to mention the amount of how much my poor car has deteriorated, it’s not worth it anymore. Spending most of my earnings on gas and car maintenance/mechanic. If Uber continues to treat their drivers this way I will have to stop working for your company and finding work elsewhere to pay the bills. If you’re thinking about signing up for Uber/Uber eats, I would think and consider twice. Unless they change their ways, it’s no longer worth my time or yours.
Bad pay rate. Hope I could give 0 stars and could post a screenshot of the trip money that i am getting. Like seriously, getting paid 5 bucks for a 14km trip. Absolutely pathetic. Skip is better than uber. Thinking to leave uber driver app if uber does not start paying decent money.
Poor customer support. Nill support. Their customer service staff have no idea what so ever to guide. They even confuse more. I went out and waited two hours for trips. Tried several times to chat with customer support but all in vain. Not even the call support is of any use.

Love Uber. Consistent bug in the app recently. I love this company and what it has been able to do for me. I started 6 years ago in college and it was a lifesaver when it because I could work around my main class schedule. I recently started working as a driver again earlier this year and enjoyed it. This was until about 3 or 4 months ago when I started experiencing a bug. I would get priority status at the LAX airport and head to the waiting lot, I would wait until it was my turn and then without any prompts or notifications for a ride request, I would be skipped and put at the back of the regular queue. This has happened 2 to 3 dozen times now. I have talked with support and their supervisors multiple times now to no success. I was happy the rare times I would be compensated for my wasted time, but I don’t want to have to keep calling. I want the problem solved so that I can continue to give great service on rides and get paid for that service I provide. Not having to call an outsourced support agency with limited to no capabilities to diagnose or solve the problem(which is still a mystery as to why it is happening). As much as I love working for Uber, the continued problem is encouraging me to leave the platform faster that I would have liked.

Horrible support. I have reached out so many times. Every single time they tossed me around and I have to explain every single time. What is this joke? You guys must have record and tickets for the issues. Then we don’t have to keep circling and explain something. On the Friday,Oct 11th, I picked up rider at target(or Cub food) it would be around 3:45pm, at the moment the Uber app didn’t work so I couldn’t confirm I picked up rider when the rider is in my car already. So I called to support and we explained what’s going on, the support told me drive him to drop off location (Walmart, app didn’t work so app didn’t give me the direction) and uber support and rider told me the drop off location and uber will pay me even though i couldn’t still confirm picked him up and dropped him off. So I had to drive him without uber app but support team was on the phone while we are driving to drop off location. And once I got there, support team toss me to other department and disconnected. And nothing happen. There is no trip record and no payment. I have called and chat multiple times. It’s never solved. They keep asking me trip record when the app didn’t work. So I asked check your support record. Well..they never do that and just talking about trip record that couldn’t have in the server because of the F app didn’t work. And just said oh I need to end this chat and close it without solving problem. What a wonderful support.
needs work. GPS leaves you hanging and spins the map around in perpetual motion once you are either on the block of your destination or once you get out od the car, usually insisting that you DROP OFF a block away from the actual house. App constantly adjusts your volume so that when an order is completed, you forget that you have the volume way up to compensate for their muting it, then you get an alert for the next order and it blasts your speakers and your eardrums. App sometimes relentlessly repeats the “proceed to your pickup” audio about 1000 times, even while you are parking at the restaurant. GPS is also outdated so it wants you to turn down one way streets and streets that no longer exist. I ended up in someone’s back yard one night. App wants you to take a picture, then throws up a menu of default “I’m at the door” type messages, causing you to have to go back and take the pic again, and a lot of the time the app freezes up when you try to upload the pic, and usually the only way around this is to drive away until the signal returns, the pic is usually gone by then, and the app complains that you are too far away. Nobody leaves a porch light on for you at night, but that isn’t the apps’s fault. Otherwise pretty good.
User interface. Fairly new driver and have encountered multiple things that has cost me money and just been a complete headache for the low dollar deliveries I am being offered… *first, add a forum that drivers can submit ideas to better improve the app*… Had 2 orders in my car, first drop off happened to be on a military base that wouldn’t let me in, tried to contact the customer to meet me at the gate and they didn’t answer… tried to cancel the trip but it keep telling me to contact the customer without asking if I already have, so I was forced to call support, all in all, 20 mins waiting/support, plus 20-30mins of driving all for 4$ is ridiculous… and the other order was getting cold, couldn’t get directions until support manually canceled the order… also I have the navigation setting set to “louder” and I have to turn my radio all the way up to hear it, and if my music decides to start playing then that is extremely loud, so it has to be the app if everything else is extremely loud but not the Uber navigation… Most importantly you need to add a way to submit problems like these so us drivers can rectify any concerns to make it worth our time… if every time is equivalent to today (low paying deliveries/bad customer support) I will not be driving much longer.
women driver. i like this app as for making money .i a trucker too . i didn’t like that you can’t have your husband or wife ride along with u .i started driving with this app because i got hurt on job an i couldn’t do my job at the time . so i’m tell what happened to me . i pick u a rider as i waited i seen a male walk up an fighting another male so my rider came an i left . i drop off them an the male that was fighting request a ride for uber they send me back an it was him 😱covered in blood so i crack my window an told him no i wasn’t letting him in my car. he got mad started to hitting my passenger window i pull off quickly. so i told my husband i was scared so we needed money bad 😩so he started to ride with me he wasn’t working because he needs knee surgery. 3days into him riding i was downtown wilmington nc an male request ride i when he open the open on my passenger side back door seen my husband an said why is he in here .i said sir it’s ok if you want. to cancel it’s fine my husband said i’m her husband so he closed the door an canceled i keep uber then the next day they keep me off . i drive a 2019 Dodge very nice a clean i was going where there was Classily people live they love me &my husband it was like we all was going out on the town . we gave good service. as for women the app is very not right for women an safety. 🙁it’s sad . i miss uber.
Uber= Racism, Discrimination and Xenophobia!. Uber is a racist and xenophobic rideshare service! I drove for them for more than two years, more than a thousand five stars rating. Even during the middle of covid I was driving for them , bringing food to the top of mountain, where sometimes I lost gps connection, bad phone services, a place where many Uber drivers don’t wanna go because of that. One day out of nothing Uber suspended my account, the reason? they can’t tell anything precise. The last thing they told me was your account was “suspended for safety reasons” what safety ? They can never tell anytime I have a chance to ask them. Plus I have videos records of all my trips, I suggested them to send them the picture of any trip they are referring to so they can make an informed decision, something they totally ignored. I assumed the only safety problem is that I am a black man driving in a predominantly white area, so my skin color is a safety problem. If no why no accepting the video records of my trips ? On their app they asked me to contact the customer service, at the same time they disabled the way I can call them and keep ignoring my messages. I have my documented proofs with me. They did similar treatments to other people who happen to be blacks and/or coming from different countries. A terrible racist group of people. People knew already that you are sexist, now I put in light your racist and xenophobic side.
LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT SIDE HUSTLE. Uber's customer support is by far the worst support I have ever dealt with in the history of my dealings with any company. The support representatives have trouble speaking english, I have difficulties understanding them due to the language barrier and the volume of the background noise. Furthermore, the wait time is horrendous, and I have had to call multiple times for the same issue with no resolution. The support staff changed my location, my account to "eats only" then had to undo those actions, I had to re-upload documents, and have spent over 2 hours trying to deal with support and speaking to someone I can understand and is competent. I am actively looking for other avenues to make side income and should one arise I will swiftly move platforms. Let it be known, I will make this experience known to all potential users and strongly recommend against working as an independent contractor for uber based singularly on the sad representation of their "service support". It is clear this platform does not value their "staff" and are utilizing their lack of strong competition to mistreat those who provide their services. I would also like to state that I am in no way racist and have no trouble outsourcing resources to make items more affordable. I merely have issues trying to understand the representatives due to accents and background noise and receiving adequate, timely, and comprehensive support.
Driver Beware. I have been a driver for Uber for 4.5 years and am unable to drive because their name change protocol is more strict than Social Security Administration and BMV.. A simple marriage and a new license name change has rendered my account ineligible because Uber has rejected a Maine state license all because they want documentation that literally doesn’t exist and is impossible to provide. Uber doesn’t understand, or the “support agents” , don’t seem to understand that an old license with my former name is not a verified source of name change in my state or country. It’s almost laughable, if it wasn’t an actual source of income. Drivers need to realize they take a big risk depending on these gig apps to generate an income when they can lose access for relatively easy name changes throughout your natural life. After repeatedly calling and submitting everything from a marriage certificate, a social security administration letter, a new social security card and a new state issued license, I gave up trying to make anyone on their support team comprehend they had no idea what they were talking about because the company simply doesn’t accept state issued licenses as a valid source of identification. The background search would tell them exactly who I am but that can’t even get that far because they’re so confused by an old/expired state license with an old name. It’s enough to make your head spin. Don’t drive for this company, they’re a waste of time and energy.
Drivers manipulating the Uber Queue at the airport and Uber does nothing about it. There are plenty of drivers manipulating the Uber Queue at IAH and Uber doesn’t do anything about it. I bought a $90k vehicle to be able to accept Uber Black SUV trips and all I can do is 1 to 2 trips from the airport in a 14 hour period. There are plenty of drivers manipulating the queue by somehow getting diamond status, some get it right of the back when they open an account which we believe is someone inside of Uber doing this, and requesting fake trips to the airport, canceling them when they’re on airport property and getting priority queue when they enter the waiting lot. This is causing the rest of us drivers, that are doing everything legally, to have to wait 5 to 10 hours for one request while we watch these other drivers go in and out of the queue constantly all day long. Myself along with plenty of other drivers have brought this to Ubers attention but nothing has been done. We’ve even given Uber reps the information of a lot of these drivers and instead we have received fraud alerts on our accounts. So I guess we all have 2 options. We either keep quiet and accept what’s going on so we don’t get punished or jump on the bandwagon and figure out exactly how the others are manipulating their accounts and cheat also. Great job UBER. The way I see it Uber doesn’t care what the others are doing because they’re making Uber money regardless.
Access to delivery location should always be accessible. t’s not the easiest thing to try and memorize an address delivery from the first offer alert has sounded . It would help us plan ahead if we can always have access to the delivery location while we’re picking up a delivery and waiting on a restaurant to be finished with the order. Sometimes the map is hard to read and then changing the aspect view of the initial alert should be more user friendly. I can’t tell what’s what when looking at the three icons . They all looks the same . (Maybe having bold logos that our eyes can easily make sense of, like a red color stop sign shape for your location,and a multi color detailed logo of a house for the delivery location , and a green colored steak and knife for the restaurant location, this would make it easier to accept or reject offers and plan ahead more efficiently. I Think that a delivery location should be accessible even before you picked up the item so while you’re waiting for the food you can plan ahead for the customer location. Something visually simple . I Love UberEats but Definitely Needs Improvements... I wish I could give Uber full stars because I’ve been earning extra money as a mother of 3 boys through Uber Eats since March; I gotta say I absolutely love making extra money on my own time but with that being said, I also hate waiting my time. Uber definitely needs to improvement how Uber Drivers get to accept and view orders. In my opinion Uber Drivers should be able to see or view a list of ALL orders in their area (depending on what town you are in) OR AT THE LEAST when you accept a single order to a restaurant; you should be able to view or see all of the available orders you can accept as doubles! Instacart has a layout where you can view all the instacart orders in your area WHICH I ABSOLUTELY LOVE because you know you won’t be wasting your time.. As a Uber Eats Driver it’s very annoying to be “roaming” town to town - restaurant to restaurant trying to find a order that is worth my time. there are other improvements I would love to mention such as reviews, OPINION PERSONAL INFORMATION BEING LEAKED, navigation, time efficiency, rude customers, glitches etc but I’m really HOPING Uber can just research a little bit more on other delivery services apps in competition and do some BIG improvements. I have stayed loyal with Uber for a reason and I’m hoping that reason doesn’t get buried. -Uber Driver with Hope!
No Customer Service or Care for the Chronically Ill. I have been working with UberEats for over two years. I have a chronic health issue that makes working a “normal” job as impossible since I ebb & flow between being okay enough to work & extremely bedridden with a chronic disease. UberEats gave me the independence & sense of personhood I needed after my chronic disease took so much away from me - financial stability, my dream job, friends, family, the sense of safety. Until today. I was informed last week my background check was being redone. I agreed & then was informed first thing morning that I was able to work again. Awesome! I am feel good & have less then $30 in my account. I need to work. But when I go into the app, it says my background check is being processed. I am getting text messages to get out there to work. Even a notification in the app, but I can’t go online. I sent the online messages system over a dozen text messages over five hours with ZERO response. Uber is literally taking away the little I have left & won’t respond. You are keeping a chronically ill person from their prescriptions & making a living. With not even a response. If this is how you do business; I am better off on the street, which is going to happened to me. Thank you, Uber. I have defended you & worked with you for years before the pandemic & this is the gratitude I get shown. I hope you can sleep at night putting people who have very little out on the street.
Upfront trip details should always be available. I started using the Uber app last year. Everything was fine and I was making a decent amount of money where I live in California. But now come the first of this year 2024. It seems like I haven’t been making as much and on top of that if I don’t accept all of the rides I now can’t see where I’m going to pick up my next customer. as a driver, I should always be able to see upfront trip details. There is no reason that any of the drivers using this app to make this company money should not be able to see where their next trip is going to go. Lyft offers upfront trip details 100% of the time no matter your acceptance rate. where I live I get requests that are 10 miles away for three dollar fair but because I don’t accept all of those requests now I’m punished and I can’t see where my next trip is going to go. I think this is an absolutely absurd feature that this app has, and it’s completely outdated, and it shouldn’t be part of the app anymore. especially since the driver is the one that knows the best about their vehicle, the gas mileage, and the distance in the towns that they’re driving in. There’s no way I’m going to take a ride that puts me 10 miles out of the zone that has plenty of opportunity for three dollars. We are not here to lose money. Uber needs to fix this problem.
Customer service. Now all of a sudden every time i get on the app it’s a something different it’s bad review which would have y’all deactivate the account or something dealing with low delivery satisfaction rate and also deactivate your account .. Uber does not get in contact with you when it comes to these bad reviews or rating that these customers be giving and it’s not fair that they only go based of what the customer says instead of trying to get in contact and figure out what happened.. It can be the rudest customer in your car and soon as a bad review comes your account is locked until they investigate… how you investigating if you not contacting the main person to see what actually happened.. then they want you to pay for a course that’s almost $60 just because a customer said something and they don’t know if it’s true or not .. The Customer service aren’t even real people all they do is send you automated messages that’s already written and they response do not be having anything to do with the situation.. this needs to change how are we drivers but can’t even get a say-so on a review that happened in your own car .. Uber does not act fair and can never resolve an issue they cause .. this need to change because how do drivers get penalized for something they don’t even know they did and now stuck not making money for a decision of a customer and THAT’S NOT FAIR !!!
Horrible customers service. I was attempting to sign up to be a driver. The app would not let me switch my city, I had to wait 15 minutes for chat support to do it for me. The chat guy had difficulty directly answering my questions and I had to ask the same thing multiple different ways to get proper answers. They switched my city, and I re-submitted all my forms. However, I kept getting emails and notifications saying that my documents were not approved and I needed to re-submit them. I did not have a positive experience with chat, so instead I called them this time. I was on hold, without speaking to anyone, for 25+ minutes before I was disconnected. I contacted Uber Support via Twitter DM and they responded saying they were “sorry” and to explain my situation so they could help me. Guess what? Been over an hour and no answer back still! They haven’t even seen the message. Gave up and waited another 10-15 minutes in the chat queue and got… the same exact guy from before. How that’s possible I don’t even know, but I think Uber support may need to consider hiring themselves more help. He says that my documents are fine and he doesn’t know why I’m still getting the notices. Hugely frustrating and disappointing, even if get all my documents approved I doubt that I will work for Uber. Seems like it will only be trouble if it’s this bad from the start. Wish that wasn’t the case though, it seemed like a great opportunity.
Hot maps in Dallas. Good evening, I would like to know what is happening with Uber in Dallas. I have been receiving very few trips for more than two weeks. Every time I call support, they know less than me. They only copy and paste information. There is no real support, even more so when you see how other drivers are. They receive their trips without any problem. In my case, I have uninstalled the app many times and it improves a little and the next day it returns to the same thing. I work black. I have to have commercial insurance that costs a lot of money and my problems do not improve, but rather get worse. For more than a month they changed the map in the app to heat maps where they no longer pay me, the truth is that it is not a problem but since that change they are no longer the same trips but at the same time I have realized that only these maps have been changed to a part of the drivers in my city, many continue to receive payment from the surges, this is unfair, I do not understand what the differences are, if Uber changes something, it should be the same for all drivers and one asks support they don't respond or they respond something else because there is so much difference I would really like to understand
App. I started out doing Uber eats and everything was fine I recently started Uber x I have had nothing but problems out of this app It did a document and background update and told me everything was updated but still want let me on the app I reach out to support and they told me it will take 72 hours to get the app back up and running for me Thst is 72 hours I am missing out on making money that was the 1st day I called So I was like let me call back to see They lady told me she reset my account and I was good to go Nope it was still asking me for a document and would not let me go online and she said it she will escalate this the It team I did not hear anything from them so I was able to hit the help button in the app to see a copy of my message that I had with the lady on the phone and at the end of the message it ask if I had another problem I needed help with I pick was the same problem So I got a person by the name sumeet that said they will look into it and it will take 24 hour to resolve the problem Still can’t go on line Which is causing me to miss out on making money I have reached out to support three day straight and have not received and solutions on how this will be resolved Please be careful switching to Uber X if you are doing Uber eats
GOODBYE UBER!!!!!! Hello LYFT!. WARNING!!!!!! So I was having a night where I needed to make fast cash so I log into my driver app and I get a ping! I pick my rider up and everything is great! I went above and beyond as usual. When the ride ends I hear something sliding around in my back seat. Oh crap it’s his phone. I try to get in contact with the person but of course I can’t because he doesn’t have his phone. I then say well 24 hour customer service should be able to help me out. The site was down! I couldn’t even see who my last rider was. So I’m panicking because his drop off was at a complex and I have no idea which one he lived in. So the whole night I’m holding onto this phone that keeps pinging because he’s using where’s my iPhone app. I’m doing everything I can. Luckily his friend calls and I let them know he situation and I go and take it to them. So I’m then relieved I check and see how much I made off of that trip including the lost item fee...says 0.00 and to check back in 1-2 hours okay that’s fine. It’s now 48 hours and I’ve been on the phone waiting for customer service for 2.5 hours!!!!! I can’t cash out and I look at the riders receipt and they are paying Uber 20 dollars more than what i got paid in fees! I’m the one who had to go through all of this my wear,my tear,my gas and they are just holding onto my money. Uber is a rip-off!!!! That being said I’ll no longer be a driver with Uber! I strongly encourage those to ride with Lyft!
Worst update ever. If you are trying to make extra money and thinking about doing uber, DON’T!!! While driving uber you are not just giving your time to it, you are also adding miles to your car which means more maintenance every year and spending gas. Best way to earn as an uber driver is to take advantage of the surge areas. Before this update drivers were able to see how much more they were going to get paid from the surge areas but now all of that is gone. App only shows you high demand areas and says there might be a surge. As an uber driver I don’t see a way to get what you deserve right now. Uber already takes more than 50% of the money that customers pay and now they are cutting drivers earnings by not showing them the surge price. Absolute disappointment. Uber also doesn’t pay you for reaching to the customer, they only pay you for the time that you are carrying the rider. I have seen really bad rates lately, for example I am going 7 miles to pick up a rider which is going to take 15 minutes, after picking up the rider the drop off location is 2 miles away which will take 3 minutes. Uber will pay me $3.69 for this ride which makes absolutely no sense. Funny part is they will also pay me the same price for picking up a rider which is a minute away and drop off location is 3 minutes away. How is this fair? Uber doesn’t value their drivers time, they only care about their selfish selves.
Just a complete mess!!. I ran into a ton of issues that need to be resolved. I attempted to rent a EV that I reserved online. I had my reservation locked in and confirmed. However, the reservation meant absolutely nothing. As I got there at 11:00 a.m., and didn’t leave until 6:00 p.m. This Hertz location is so dysfunctional, unorganized, and slow paced. It’s mind numbing. They signed me up for a Kia Nero EV, at the last minute. However, they didn’t even follow through on that, and instead gave me a beat up, gas guzzling Chevy Malibu. Not only that, but the tank was only half full when I got it. Not to mention they charged me the same price for the Malibu as they did for the EV… for some reason…. I went to put gas into my car that following week, and when I went to drive off, my brakes suddenly failed. I could no longer drive the car safely. So I called Roadside Assistance to have them tow me. They said that they would tow the vehicle to “the nearest Hertz location”, which I didn’t realize at the time was NOT the location that I rented from. So they tow it to a different Hertz, and the lady says that she could substitute my vehicle, but that she couldn’t close my rental out, because they didn’t deal with Uber. She said that I would need to go to the other Location, that does Uber. But when I got to that location, they told me that they couldn’t close out the rental, since they didn’t the original vehicle.
Worst thing to ever exist. Don’t waste your time working for them, you get paid nothing for the amount of work and time you actually put in. Plus if you’re in danger they don’t care about you at all, I almost got assaulted last night by an aggressive and rude rider. I called to customer service to warn them about that rider so they’re removed from the app to avoid other drivers from picking them up. Next day I wake up to Uber telling me the chances of being matched with them are low like they didn’t even do anything. I also got accused of having a “third party” in the car I’m sure by that rude driver so now I’m at risk of having the account deactivated. I wouldn’t have feared for my safety if someone else was riding with me. I’m a young woman and it was a drunk rude male and a woman in the car when they started being rude. Craziest and most scariest thing I have ever experienced plus having my car door slammed after canceling the ride. I’m thankful I didn’t get hurt physically but that’s not okay and Uber did nothing about it. I’m not using this app ever again I’ve been checking for updates and nothing. Last thing I got from them was a notification that I’m at a risk of having my account deactivated. Don’t waste your time on this app. They use you and don’t care one bit about you or your safety and definitely not your car. I would definitely give this a zero not even deserving of a 1 star.
Inconsistent experience working for Uber. I feel like the app is overlooking me for some reason - I constantly get delivery offers that are 15 to 25 miles one way and near no other restaurants, so this translates into 30 to 50 mile deliveries that will take me over an hour to complete for $5 to $10 in pay… If I don’t accept the offers then the app doesn’t send me delivery opportunities for extended periods of time (even though it is busy in my area with delivery perks of $1 to $2). The app is super glitchy and Uber support just keeps repeatedly sending me troubleshooting steps that don’t work - tips don’t show up in my inbox so I can send a thank you to customers, my cash outs are missing info and only say “your cash out of _ was successful”, busy areas on the map don’t fully load so I have to refresh the app constantly. I have days where I make less than $10 an hour before expenses, even though the app has $1 to $2 delivery perks. Seems like the longer I work for Uber the worse the pay gets and the worse the app works. I have a 99% customer rating, so not sure why the app doesn’t keep me busy during peak times. I worked 6 hours yesterday and made less than $70 before expenses, it cost me $25 in gas for the day, so that means I made approx $40 for 6 hours worth of work.
Uber Review. Im enjoying driving Uber meet any ethnic nationality and driving with the spirit of Aloha. here in hawaii very high cost of living i got 3 wonderfull kids that keep me going. when my fren Paul introduce to me if I wanna do Uber sure why not i started my application last 3 months ago and did not meet the requirements for my 02 honda odyssey. so i ask my family if i can borrow money so i can start Uber i waited 3 months finally somebody got good hearts to land me money i find this car on social media its 08 honda fit so this month i continue my application and thank god went thru so i started driving i did finish my 30 trips in 3 days so i contacted Uber if do i get the promotion bunos ive been notified that ive alredy pass 90 days my heart sank i didnt wanna talk and quit should be considerate and understanding that i did 30 trips in 3 days cuz my application doesnt went thru when i started my application how can i starts picking up passenger if i didnt have the ride and its denied should be better if im approve and then starts counting 90 days. im expecting my bonus to pay my brother i should be more enjoying and happier driving with Uber if i got my bonus luckily my fren Paul convince me keep going and i try my best to go back on the road.. Uber takes insatiable and malicious unfair riders concerns over drivers concerns every time. I’m a 31-year-old international intelligent I speak four languages Hindi Bengali English Italian fluently read and write I have an associates degree in pre-law I have a Honda fit 2008 in good condition I was working in the city of Gainesville and I noticed that despite doing two 7out of seven courses, trying my best was not good enough and a lot of riders are unappreciative entitled and rude and Uber takes their side. Everytime. I dropped off customers who were drunk not wearing masks and rude helped with luggage and gave them 5 starts yet I’m the bad one. I followed all of ubers requirements but I’m the one booted off An hour after I completed another 50 dollar 7 out of 7 course. The customer is always right despite having no real reason to make a low rating! I did nothing to deserve some of the ratings I got! Nothing! Also besides I picked up a person in the same town I live in who hates me! I didn’t know it her her or I wouldn’t haven accepted but it’s too late now! Point is Uber dosent investigate into each rating and it’s unfair. I was unfairly treated by Uber. AND for sure I will let others know about ubers unfair policies to their drivers it’s just not right to give people that much power. I think Uber should change into employee status rather than an independent contractor because it takes the Mikey out of many genuine hard working people and that’s not right.
Customer service is horrible. Honestly it’s a great way to make a little extra cash until you have a problem and have to call customer support. They literally had me on the line for over two hours just to tell me they could not help me. I had to wait about an hr for a supervisor for her to tell me the same thing. They are rude more than 80% will not be able to understand you and repeat the same thing meanwhile not answering your question. They get away with a lot of things because the only thing they can give out is a reference number. I asked a supervisor what Next steps I would have to take to get in contact with her boss. She said she was the highest there clearly lying. They are unprofessional and you can just tell they are reading off of a screen. Do yourself a favor and purchase a voice recorder app. Record all the conversations you have with them. They are very sneaky and Will lie to you to get one by you whenever they can. They’ve honestly push me to the point where I don’t even want to work for Uber because of them. Uber says they care but they changed nothing about their customer service. Anytime there’s an issue with the app Moneywise it’s always with your money, magically they never have issues with their part of the money. They try to act like they care but fail miserably every time. It’s sad that a multibillion dollar company would treat their business partner like trash but unfortunately that’s all Uber does
Things i dislike about the company. Honestly i love the constant orders that come in but I’m not satisfied with the low ball pay they been giving me lately. Like here’s my huge issue right here with this company, so i been a Uber eats pro member for awhile. Delivered over 400 times for the company & now for the pass 4 days now i been getting nothing but $2, $3 & $4 orders to go miles out my way to pick up some food then drop it off to a near by place i was just at & here’s the kicker… so i call Uber support “you know so they could fix my issue” & every time i reach a representative & explain my issue. Here’s exactly what happens they hit you with the “aww I’m sorry to hear this, let me see if somebody in another department can help you” then once you reach that next person & tell them the exact same thing they continue on with nonsense & repeat the same thing that was said by the other representative… this continues for awhile actually to the point that either you get aggravated enough & just hang up “Because that being put on hold by them process be mad long” or they either hang up after you done spoke to 9 of them. It’s tiring being treated like nothing & getting paid Pennie’s conspired to what you use to make on here by a company you put your all in
It’s ok. Few things I don’t like. One is they do not have where it adds rides automatically like Lyft so it can cause dangerous Circumstances. Uber will notify to accept or not accept next trip a lot of times interrupting directions and you have to look at road to accept. If you don’t accept your rating goes down. Lyft has automatic adds to driving queues so you can keep driving and keep eyes on road. Considering we are penalized by rating by not accepting I feel I have to look down and accept before it goes away. Which is fine when it’s slow but not great when your driving in high traffic. Customer service is iffy some help others just don’t understand what your asking. For example recently they sent me notification to upload insurance for next term since current term is expiring. DO NOT SEND EARLY when they ask. Wait till the day after current expires. I sent early and they deleted my current approved term and I been on chat for over hour, two different people to just get it fixed half way. They had resubmit my current term and now I’m sitting in parking lot waiting to it to be approved Again. If there going ask for next term insurance early they need to have a system where they keep your current approved insurance term and it continues on next term not delete your current one and make it where you can’t drive.
Rented a brand new Tesla Model 3 long range. I just rented a brand new Tesla Model 3 long range so I could do Uber Comfort instead of UberX. Before even charging up the battery it cost me $507 with an $11 per day insurance plan for a week!! That’s a Tesla payment! Uber and rental companies are exploiting Uber Drivers to pay for their Tesla Fleets and manipulating them into thinking they can drive Uber Comfort. You CANNOT select Uber Comfort on your app. I called Uber two times and they said for the inconvenience they would give me the Lux option and that Uber Comfort is included in the UberX tab. The last 2 days of driving the rental, only the Uber Green tab popped up - no Comfort or Lux option. I ended up driving UberX the whole week because that was the only option they gave me, and I rarely got a tip because all my passengers thought I was well off for driving a Tesla even when I told them I rented it. I made around $150 profit after paying the EV cost for a week of renting the Tesla. I would’ve walked away completely before signing up for the week but I wanted to compare the Tesla to my Prius on cost savings. The only way I benefited was saving cost on fuel. I barely got any opportunities as well unless they were for $1.50 - $3 and one time for $8.50 which was the only reason I was able to break above even. Do not rent the Tesla unless you plan on buying one or really want to check it out. I make more money and tips driving my Prius.
Map and directions are horrible in South Bay area in So Cal. This app consistently suggests I make illegal u-turns, go straights when only right or left turn is legal, or drive through permanent barricades. Once it mistook El Tarisco restaurant on PCH in Redondo for a driveway and suggested I drive through the restaurant. It frequently has surge pin in olaces but accessible to cars, like playgrounds, golf courses, the beach, etc. This week it has a surge pin at Terminal 5 at LAX despite drivers risking fines up to $1000 for driving on the arrival level or driving at airport when not dropping off passenger. And their customer support is total garbage. If you ever have a problem resolved using their customer support it usually takes chatting with 3-4 agents before they can even identify whether you it is regarding Uber Eats or Uber Ridesi and it usually takes hours if your time and almost never worth it. Most if the time customer support us nothing more than platitudes, empty apologies, and gas lighting. And they need to stop saying “no worries” when a driver has a right to be worried when he or she can’t log in during a surge and is losing money. Maybe they mean “Uber doesn’t worry about it’s drivers.” I am sure Uber will respond “that doesn’t sound right” but I have screenshots to backup what I have said in this review. I think Uber should let riders and drivers not just rate each other but rate Uber 1-5 stars after each trip.
Low quality app. No buildings on in app navigation. Cuts productivity by 10-20% especially for new drivers. Get rid of the interaction. Can’t read instructions, take pictures or anything without app changing screen. Sloppy! Put a muzzle on the navigation voice. Hyperactive to the point it’s useless. App negligently endangers the livelihood of drivers by sending alcohol orders when not signed up. Maybe I’m not staring at my phone hard enough by driving but I don’t see indications of alcohol in the order. Find out arriving at store, restaurantor or worse yet, arriving at customer. Don’t be mad at me. You know how detrimental that can be for drivers. Fix it. Charge pretty substantial charges to customers, keeps a substantial portion yet not seeing the improvements in the app. Who knows. Maybe an issue with honest reviews as first delivery upon ending wait time pay resulted in a substantial wait. On the plus side they do offer decent driver perks but many also mean more revenue for them. Last delivery I attempted was 2 orders at a closed restaurant and resulted in zero pay. Basically no respect for driver’s time, efforts and investment. Might as well cancel the order since Uber payment policy puts no value in attempts to salvage customer experience. Things seem slow in the food delivery business and Uber is the worst, yet stock value increases. You figure it out
I Quit, and Here’s Why. I was a 4.9-star driver. Nevertheless, I have had so many issues with Uber, technical and human behavior. I took it on the chin until this happened: I was withdrawing my money after working for almost 5 hours. The total balance in the Uber wallet was $93 but Uber would only let me withdraw $68. I called customer support. I was being tossed from one rep to another, one asking me how I came up with the $93 figure (while it’s right on my wallet only if they could take a look to see it), another one transferring me to another rep without notice while I’m in mid-sentence. I landed to the 5th rep who said “Oh yeah I actually see here you earned $93 but I’m told that Uber took $25 because they overpaid you for the ride you made about 3 weeks ago.” I was perplexed by the level of unprofessionalism from a multinational company like Uber who, at first never informed me about any overpayment issue, which was not my fault anyway. Then, they waited for over three weeks, out of the blue to take $25 from my earnings, and again without informing me until I called and being tossed like a football among 5 customer reps who couldn’t care less except for the last one. The last rep eventually (I guess out of personal discretion) credited my account with $20 and said that's all he could do because there was no avenue for Uber to reverse course on their gross business malpractice. That was it for me!
Warning. Do not Uber if you're renting, it's not worth it. Uber is one of the scummiest companies you can work with, recently I've been banned from the app temporarily but it's been 3 days. Why was I banned you ask? Because a rider put in a false report about me driving under the influence. 4.97 star driver with mainly compliments on my service, and a rider who had a bad day lied on me to get a free ride. What happens to me? Well first Uber cuts access to the funds I made that night, the money I worked for. Then they cut access to the app so I can drive and make money for the car I'm renting for Uber. All this until they finish their "investigation" and it's been 3 days... mind you there's nothing to investigate because literally nothing happened. I don't even know which rider that night wouldn't been malicious enough to do something like that. And of course Uber is no help, they just cater to the rider and treat the drivers like pure trash. I truly can't wait for the next ride share app that takes over and bankrupts Uber. Everyone associated with the higher ups in this company is evil Also 2,000+ rides over the last year, Uber has progressively gotten worse and worse in just the one year I've been with them. I've witnessed the pay split with Uber and drivers almost double to their benefit in just 4 months. They removed weekly quest which was the only incentive to even drive that often, they limit your tips. Just stay away
Change name & Add functions. As a deliverer for Uber Eats who does NOT drive, the name and subsequent function of the app is confusing even to customer support representatives. I am an Uber Eats delivery Walker. Next, I will be an Uber Eats delivery Biker. Naming the app Uber Driver is confusing for the rest of us who work for Uber and are currently not drivers. Would it be possible to have the ability In-App to switch between our preferred method of delivery? I had to call customer support just to switch my delivery method which took over a half an hour. This process can easily be streamlined with an update that allows us workers/servicers to modify our preferred delivery method in-app. Finally, I would like to suggest the ability to buy products directly from the Uber Eats store using my earnings made from working as an Uber Eats delivery person. P.S.- Maybe staff should suggest to Apple that they need to update their age policy. This app should state that it is for use for anyone 16+ because, you know, child labor laws exist. Additionally, a valid ID is required to work for Uber Eats. Anyone younger than 16 (at least where I live) is unable to apply for a valid ID. So, I’m sure that the guys and gals at Apple will at least consider this change. Thank you for reading!
On the fence. I just started delivering for Uber. The customer service is God awful. You can tell they are copying and pasting from a script. They never answer your questions. They also have not explained to me how opportunities work, and some that I’ve been receiving will have up to 10 stops and it would only show a $10 tip. I tried to find out if that’s all the money you get for spending an entire day in your car and I get transferred around to several people with no answer! The video doesn’t tell you!!! I hate it when a restaurant is closed because you don’t get compensated for it. I also can’t stand when a customer keeps you waiting for more than five minutes (with multiple texts and phone call FROM UBER) and you don’t get extra pay for that! Uber also needs to work on their locality system. I will get deliveries that will only pay me $5 (customer tip included) to travel a half an hour away from the pick up point! Sometimes the pick up point is also nowhere near me. That is ridiculous. I am so happy that I do not actively seek out deliveries and I usually only put myself online when I’m doing idle work either around the house or somewhere that doesn’t need deadlines because I would not be doing this! Uber does not make it worth it!!!!!!!! Too much drama!
Seriously though.. I’ve driven with Uber for sometime. I had to take a bit of a break because of some personal health issues and I’m back! I was so excited to get back on the road meeting new people seeing new places. I no longer have the vehicle that I had when I drove Uber last year, with that being said it was extremely easy to add my new vehicle upload the required documentation and get the vehicle approved! So you're probably wondering so why the one star rating… well that is because I’m trying to go online and drive and it’s not allowing me to go online. It’s telling me that I need to select an approved vehicle. It’s still showing a vehicle or no longer own on there and that is what it is defaulting to despite the fact that I keep pressing the button when it tells me I need to select an approved vehicle I select that vehicle and it still defaulting to the old vehicle that I no longer own. It’s also not allowing me to delete that vehicle either? I have reached out to customer service now three hours ago and I have not heard anything back from them and there’s no contact number for Uber either only an emergency response hotline that I’m not going to call because while I drove an hour to my usual stomping grounds and I feel like this is an emergency… it’s not the kind of emergency they are referring to. This is insane. I’ve wasted my day, my gas, for nothing. Customer service needs to step it up. 😕
4.98 driver here, the app is broken since last update!. Hi, hopefully someone from Uber (whom has any kind of authority) reads this. Not only are pick up locations wrong - I had to start calling every passenger during pick up, to confirm there location - but they also added a terrible function where if you decline 2-3 requests in a row it will log you out of the whole app, not just put you unavailable, so you have to put in your screen name and password and get it going again and turn on rides. Obviously during that log out multiple bad things could have happened like you lost your surge, you missed a turn, your focusing on and being required to do touch the app and try to type in names and passwords while driving - a safety hazard as well as chance of a ticket . Guys, there are reasons we don’t take every request that comes in, there are rating reasons first off. You have your multiple reasons too, like not showing destinations of the rides until they are picked up etc. please revert this log out function. I’m 4.98, have a new 2019 car, a completely clean driving record for over 20 years, and never have a problem. If I dont want to accept a ride from a bad apple or one that is behind me while I’m on the freeway with no exits in sight, or ones that are 16 mins away or even more, while I’m stuck in downtown after a mlb game, then I should be able to do that without punishment. Please revert to the app pre-most recent update.
Uber is on its way out. If you have not noticed Uber is trying everything they can to stay relevant, everything except the things that really matter. The first being listening to their customers both drivers and riders. Notice they change their logo, their app, their surge pricing, but they won’t change customer service... the reason this matters? Here is a real world example. The app automatically initializes the next part of the trip without me pushing a button. The reason this matters is because I had a ride with a stop and when I clicked at the stop, I let the passenger out. I then had to move the car to park and when I did it assumed we were done at the stop. As a result I missed out on roughly $6. When I called to explain this the lady that answered did not seem to have English as a first language. After that call she actually adjusted the ride so that I made less money. I called a second time and the gentlemen seem to struggle to understand my English as well. He too did not fix my issue. Do yourself a favor and avoid Uber. Edit Now the developers want me to take the time to submit another report about the issue. As I said uber does not get it. When drivers are out there and an issue with pay or trip arises we need it fix ASAP so we can get back to work. Missing out on money when the margins are already thin is crushing. So no I will not message you again, and like you are seeing everyday I am another driver who has moved on from Uber and not looked back.
Drivers are the Minorities (please read before you sign up). Been driving with the app for 6 mouth’s and what I notice with the app is that the customer support isn’t the best when it comes to drivers and dealing with their issues. I experience rating glitches, being on hold for 1 hour just to get transferred around to the same department. The communication system with the emails is the worst line of communication between drivers and Uber. You explain a issue and they tell you the specialist will reach out to you (which can take 6 hours) so if you have issue dealing with your app good luck, Uber could careless who handles the situation. It’s a hassle dealing with a company that only looks to make there riders happy and not both sides. As a major company everyday is a problem using the Uber driver app, if it isn’t a glitch it’s problem with a rider lying and possible getting your account ban. Customer service tells you the same thing it’s like they don't do the actual investigation all they do is listen to rider and that’s enough evidence they need. I been waiting for 3 days to get a problem fixed so I can use my account again ( keep in mind Uber is my only job I have since the pandemic makes it hard to find work) I Pleated with the Uber customer service agents and they don’t care to fully handle the situation. Uber started off good but ended bad I'm trying my best to get my uber back but uber showing they can care less to help me.
Keeps logging me offline. I recently had a trip which I accepted, half way there the trip disappears, I close out the app and reopen it and the destination is back, I continue to the destination, pick up the passenger, drop her to her destination & complete the trip. About 20 seconds after I pull off the riders destination pops back up as if I hadn’t dropped them off yet. I click complete ride and it goes away. About another 20 seconds the same exact thing happens again. So I click complete ride once more. He continued doing that for about another 15 mins even while I’m going offline and canceling the ride over and over. Even while “offline” it would pop back up telling me now that I still never even gave the rider a ride at all, it would tell me her starting destination again. So I jus kept canceling the ride. Eventually that ride issue stopped and now whenever I go online, I’m online for a couple mins, put my phone down to down whatever, but leaving the driver app open to hear and see if a ping comes in. I’ll randomly look back at my phone and it’ll say “offline” when I know I was “online”. This JUST started happening so I’m a bit confused. It’s a nasty glitch that I’m afraid is causing me to miss $$. 😔
Uber Does not cover Uninsured Drivers that hit your car.. Uber does not protect their drivers one bit. They take 50% of your earns and then they make you fight over a rider. The most stressful part is once you try to click on accept the ride Uber has it where it freezes on purpose, also Uber supports texting while driving. The Uber app will pop up a ride and make you feel as if you don’t hurry up and click it another driver will take it. It’s really sad how a company can steal from the people who helps them eat. They do not tell drivers to add their protection coverage to prevent you from not being able to get lost of wages pay when your vehicle become non drivable they also charge you to buy back your vehicle when they know you put many miles on your vehicle picking up riders which brings down your car value. Not only that people who do drugs will get in your car smelling like weed and more. The riders do not be ready when you are there you sit an wait for a $6 dollar ride. But you will be wrong to cancel a ride because of low pay and the rider is not on time. It’s not the customer fault for the low pay. What Uber does is charge them a higher amount so they can get half the earnings. Which is stealing from both parties the driver lose money and the rider while Uber keeps half because they have an app. They do not feed you or give you discount on gas. God sees everything and one day this company will get is.
Recommended Uber driver app improvements. I give it a 3 because after Ubering for a week, sometimes it takes me on toll routes without notifying me ahead of time. Since I don’t have a sunpass in the state of Florida. Then I have to go online and look for the bill for my toll. I wish it had a feature where I can avoid tolls like the app Waze offers. Also one the iPhone gps. Another reason is it’s not current with road construction within the city you are driving. This would be an amazing feature to avoid long drive times with and without the customer in the vehicle so we can avoid traffic build up. Also I’ve noticed when it tries to cut through some turns within plazas or a neighborhood, sometimes I approach an intersection that’s only one way and then I have to think quick and come up on when to bust a U turn so that the gps can reroute quickly. As an Uber driver I am required to have a profile photo. When an alert comes through on the gps I wish I can see my Uber riders photo so that in a large crowd, I know who to look for and kind of know what he or she looks like. It would be helpful if the rider is ordering a ride, that they confirm how many seats would be taken. I’m aware that it gives you the option to use waze but I like to stay within the app since everything I need when I’m “on the clock” is there all in one screen.
Bugs and problems. UPDATE: App stranded me an hour drive from home! Completely ignored my destination filter request. IOS 17.4.1 * Navigation gets stuck after accepting a ride. Map doesn’t move along with the car. * Halves the phone’s Bluetooth volume for no reason, requiring the Uber Driver app to be restarted to fix. Sporadic, doesn’t seem to be a pattern. * Map is frequently wrong on Portland streets, guiding me to make turns where it’s not allowed, leading to blocked off streets, etc. * Navigation spins around for no reason after a passenger drop off, pointing me the wrong way when I start moving again. * Destination filter is a complete joke. When I tell the app I want to filter my rides toward home, it means I’m done for the day and only willing to pick up rides in that direction. The app keeps basically ignoring my wishes and sends me clear across town. * I’ve had riders be nowhere near their pickup pin. This is probably a problem with the rider app. Suggestions for improvement: * Auto accept ride requests while driving. * Notify passengers on their app to put on their seat belt and not to eat food in my car. Maybe the drivers can have an option for these kinds of messages flash to the riders when the ride starts. * Another use of the above is to show a short video demonstration of how to open a Tesla’s door. * Remind passengers that it is illegal for us to drive with children not in child seats.
They don’t go through with promotions !. I am a single mother of two , so I found it easy to work with Uber as I can have time with them. But most recently I had to work 328 hours to get the medical assistance of $1,274. I worked 330 hours in the span of 3 months, I was able to complete it before the new year. But the system would go back at change the hours that I had to work going from 5 to 8 or 8 to 13. Which I find unfair but went along with it, I find it super dumb because I only got half of the money as the system only counted half of the hours, I have screenshots of the hours I worked with Uber. When I reached out to costumer services they stated that my problem would be fixed and id have my money by the end of the week, when I saw the money delaying even more I called once more and had this one guy practically yell at me and just flat out disrespected me when I asked for his name he refused to give it to me and he even hung up on me. I’ve called a couple times after this experience and even still I don’t have my money it’s about to be a full month. I counted on that money, Which I was told I’d receive in two weeks. I am completely frustrated as I’ve called and every time I get told the money will get to me in the span of a couple days when that’s completely incorrect. I can assure you I’ve shown the screen shots and prove to my claims and still nothing has been done. I do not recommend.!
Desperately Needs A Better Rating System. This app has become my main source of income. It’s great in a lot of ways, but one thing that I really cannot stand is how easily my rating goes down. It’s very rare for customers to leave a positive rating. They either leave negative ratings or no rating at all. That’s where my problem is. My rating is low thanks in large part to the lack of positive reviews. People who are satisfied with their service simply don’t leave a rating. I’ve made 158 deliveries. Out of those, only 26 have reviewed. 22 of those are good but my rating is getting low because of the 4 bad ratings. Whether I deserve them or not is beside the point. The point is the 132 people who didn’t rate me. That should account for something. If it were me, I would make it so no rating becomes a positive one after a certain time after the order is delivered. It gives customers incentive to actually rate, as I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t want their opinions being misconstrued. And it makes the silent majority not so silent anymore. If someone actually deserves a bad rating and deserves their overall rating to go down, then it should. But if someone is doing a good job, there should be a way to show that that doesn’t solely depend on kind people who actually care enough to leave a positive rating.
Hope for a minor change. Thanks Uber for giving me a way to earn extra income. As of now, I have had only good experience working but one incident.. A customer reported that I was driving while intoxicated and was swerving, which I can only laugh at the report.. My body rejects alcohol and even smelling it causes me to lose my breath so in no way can I consumerist.. I probably would not have made a big deal about it but, there was a concert and I was unable to drive... Uber should force each driver to submit to a alcohol and drug test any time a report of this topics is made so drivers can quickly return to work.. if driver is has a negative result, the rider who report the issues should pay for the test and any lost wages that has occurred due to the false claim... Uber has already given me 2 drug test which I passed so I was willing to submit to a third.. Uber should also have bonus like Lyft does so we can be encouraged to drive... One last issue, for whatever reason, a friend I invited to drive always gets promotion bonus and I Never do.... being here for 2.5 years you can only imagine the bitterness I feel towards this issue.... can someone please let me know the EXACT reason why I’m not able to get the same promotion bonus...
Driver. I’ve been driving for Uber since April and I am noticing so many problems with the app I can’t even get a hold of customer service to get help with the app I have been stuck not being able to work for the last three days because they’ve yet to figure out the app issues as to why I can’t login after they said that my account is still active and I should be able to deliver. I’ve called support now 10 times in yet to get my issue resolved and I’m still out of work thanks to this app having this many issues. I have deleted and re-download this app and I still can’t even get on after calling support they said I should be able to get on but the app is so bad I can’t even use it. I’ve literally been forced to apply to other delivery jobs because of the app not functioning like a proper app. I have tried to contact Uber headquarters yet my problem is yet get resolved and I’m still missing payment from one of my customers and they yet to resolve the issue as well. I haven’t been able to drive since 16 August and we are now on August 19 and Uber support has not figured out how to get me back on the road. I really do enjoy driving however this app is making it entirely difficult for me to complete my job efficiently without problems. Please fix the issue.
Uber needs to Compensate more for cancelled orders. I just received 4 orders IN A ROW worth ~$60 all together each one I drove to- the store was closed. Uber will only compensate you $3 for driving to the location. I just wasted an hour + of my time, gas money driving just to be paid $12 Barely enough to put my gas tank on half...... Uber needs to fix this it’s not fair to assign orders for stores that are clearly not open then only compensate $3 from orders especially for orders that are worth $10 or more....... -angry , out of gas , tired driver. Edit : I just spent whole morning driving doing orders, updated my debit card to cash out , it asks to take a picture of you to confirm identity. Cool. Soon as I try to cash out tells me my account needs attention. I call support , they say it’s nothing on my end Uber just wants to make sure my account is protected. I’m confused because I just took a picture for security purposes so what was the point. Now my money is on hold, no true turn around time for the resolution and I need to make a payment. Uber is taking their time responding work day is about to be over. So wish me luck on making this payment on time. They say I may not be able to access my money for 72 hours. All my hard work for nothing- considering this is suppose to be an app made for your convenience.
SCAMMING YOUR DRIVERS. Yesterday, I was on a delivery when i get a call from someone claiming to be uber support. They told me to cancel my order and that i would get a $20 gift card plus a “uber driver bonus”. They said they would call me in an hour because the app needed to load the cancellation. An hour later they call, telling me that they need to input a new card that was the “gift card”. Keep in mind I am new to the app and i know no better. I didn’t give out my information so it wasn’t sketchy in my eyes. Sure enough, I put in the “gift card” information and they steal the money i had earned in my account. I contact customer support and they open an investigation and tell me they don’t have enough proof. I sent 3 screen shots of the proof i had. Also, when signing up for uber, the name on my debit card had to match the name on my account. So why was it so easy for someone to put their card information in and cash out? After requesting more help, Uber contacts me and let’s me know that i am BANNED because someone else was using my account! They submitted NO proof of that either, they just banned me to dismiss my issue. If uber really cared about their drivers, they would notify them that this was a new common scam. They KNOW about this scam because there are several videos and articles i found of drivers who had the same thing happen. FIX THIS UBER! YOU ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE AND REFUSING TO KEEP DRIVERS SAFE!
Still not able to drive riders. After going through all the steps to set up Uber to drive passengers, I still don’t have the option in my app to do so. I’ve followed the countless support agents’ actions of restarting, reinstalling, relogging, waiting, and so on, but none of the no less than 6(!) support tickets have helped. Especially infuriating each time they say that they’ve done something on their end to fix it and it should work now. The same copy pasted response each time as if they can’t see what I’ve already done, multiple times. This was after a two week waiting period for a document verification that was supposed to take under a day where they also, multiple times, told me it would be escalated and finished within 10 minutes, 24 hours, 48 hours… I signed up for Lyft at the same time and have done over 20 trips with it and I haven’t even been able to do 1 with Uber yet. I have done a couple Uber Eats trips just because it’s the only thing available to me on the app and that worked okay. Just not what I want. Frustrating, and it seems now they want to do a callback to try to resolve the issue- we’ll see how that goes. Edit 10/23 after being transferred and out on hold 4 or 5 times they said they have to escalate my issue to the advanced specialists team to resolve the issue and that I should expect some kind of response in 72 hours.
