I have driving for a few months and I do enjoy it and of course, love to make some extra money! With that being said, this app needs some work. Multiple times it has taken me to the wrong location to pick customers up. Clearly it’s annoying because I don’t get paid to have to drive somewhere else or trying to figure out where people are. Second, for instance, I was waiting in the driveway of someone’s house to pick them up. Uber told me I was “completely “ there yet and I literally had no where else to park and the customer made me wait like 10 minutes because of what they needed to bring. I did not get the wait time for that trip and I should have. Third, Uber should tell you the full trip details before accepting a ride. Some trips are not worth the drive, especially if I’m driving 15 minutes to get someone and only driving them 5 minutes. But if I don’t take the trip, my acceptance rating goes down. It shouldn’t be held against me. Also, there are times when I know I don’t want to drive anymore and I’m working on my last trip so when I drop the customer off, I’m going to go offline but Uber sends me multiple rides and knowing I’m done, I decline them. But I then get a bad acceptance rating because of it. There should be something that says “do you want this to be your last ride” so I don’t get anymore calls. Overall, I like doing it but there are definitely some cliches to the app.

I recently had a trip which I accepted, half way there the trip disappears, I close out the app and reopen it and the destination is back, I continue to the destination, pick up the passenger, drop her to her destination & complete the trip. About 20 seconds after I pull off the riders destination pops back up as if I hadn’t dropped them off yet. I click complete ride and it goes away. About another 20 seconds the same exact thing happens again. So I click complete ride once more. He continued doing that for about another 15 mins even while I’m going offline and canceling the ride over and over. Even while “offline” it would pop back up telling me now that I still never even gave the rider a ride at all, it would tell me her starting destination again. So I jus kept canceling the ride. Eventually that ride issue stopped and now whenever I go online, I’m online for a couple mins, put my phone down to down whatever, but leaving the driver app open to hear and see if a ping comes in. I’ll randomly look back at my phone and it’ll say “offline” when I know I was “online”. This JUST started happening so I’m a bit confused. It’s a nasty glitch that I’m afraid is causing me to miss $$. 😔
Aviator1567 - No pay for waiting during a multi stop ride!
When you get a ride that has intermediate stops before reaching the final destination, you cannot slide the selector to confirm the stop until the rider is back in the vehicle. If you do it before they are back and ready to drive, you will tell the app that you are now riding to your next stop. This results in getting new trips added to you without being ready to accept them, which you have to decline and then it takes a toll on your acceptance rate. The problem is that while you wait unable to slide to confirm the stop, you are not getting paid for wait time. I’ve had to wait for a rider as much as 25 minutes at a pharmacy without pay. This needs to be fixed.
Another Issue, and this is more an Uber issue than the app, is the driver inability to interject for a customer bad review. It is a one sided conversation that is unfair to the driver. I had a customer give me a rating of 1 ( my only bad rating) for making a totally legal and safe left turn where there is a surface painting depicting this and the app directed the turn to get on course and she felt that it was an unsafe maneuver. It upset me that she didn’t address it with me. She got a very professional drive and went on to report me as unsafe. Uber should see the driver side to see if in the driver’s good judgment in the interest of safety and efficiency, found a good cause for a maneuver

I have no idea why you allow ratings that do nothing to help your drivers improve. I have never done anything to deserve less than 5 stars, other than when there are app glitches, and when I get rated below I have no what I need to improve. This is the most frustrating thing for me personally. Hardly any riders tips me and I am polite, careful, and help them with their bags or assistance getting in out of the car when needed. We are providing a service that takes most of our fare and tipping should be automatic. The only other thing that could explain no tips is if the company is taking them. But how can that be proven?
I am grateful I have a job to work until I can find something better, but I constantly worry about what will happen if I ever have a real problem with a customer or anything else really. I have been driving for almost two years now and wish the fear of actually being able to trust the company I work for would go away. You have so many drivers though so the opinions of a few don’t seem to be worth your time. It really is not becoming worth the wear and tear on my personal vehicle with prices going down and the passengers having no idea what we have to pay just to drive for you all with commercial insurance costs, fuel, tires and everything else that goes into taking care of our vehicles to provide safe traveling for YOUR customers.
bonkers !! - This app needs work
I have only been working with Uber for about 4 weeks and have been VERY eager to earn money !! I have done OVER 137 trips and it says I have declined 30 trips !!!!! There is NO WAY I have missed that many and I have NEVER declined 1 trip !! But the WORST one is where the app messed up while finding trips, and a customer called me from a previously accepted trip that ‘dropped off’ and went back to looking for trips. He seemed desperate to get to the airport so I agreed to take him. I verified with Uber that I would be covered insurance wise even though the app was OBVIOUSLY having issues. I tried 6-7 times over 10 days afterwords to reach out to CS to get this trip ‘fixed’ so I could be paid. The kicker was when I received an email notice that I would NOT be paid due to NOT contacting them within 10 days and to “in the future be sure to notify Uber within 10 days of any issues”. To say I was upset would be putting it lightly !!! In calling CS I informed the rep that it was not their personal fault but I was VERY upset and took it out on them. And she was able to ‘fix’ it right then !!! WHY DID IT TAKE 10 days & 6-7 reps before I could get it resolved !?!?!? I am gonna get my CDL license so I can make REAL money driving for delivering goods instead of people so I can provide a living instead of just side hustle money with Uber . This is such a shame since I love to meet people and drive my car !!!
Labdidhwjsdu - Accomplishes the minimum
After driving for UberEats for several months I can say the driver app does the minimum of what it needs to do to connect you with deliveries. However, the constant glitching of many key features can be incredibly frustrating. The map’s GPS software is sluggish and often thinks roads exist where they don’t, or subdivides straight, continuous roadways in ways that create confusing delays in providing directions. At the time of this review, the tip notification system is totally haywire and sends at least two notifications per tip, often more and at random times. The weekly and daily earnings pages frequently fail to load, especially the expanded trip summary pages. If one trip summary can be accessed, it sometimes seems to keep all the subsequent ones from loading properly. The messaging feature used to constantly cut out in the middle of typing, which made it difficult to keep in touch with customers and insanely annoying experiences retyping the same thing 5+ times (this seems like it may have been fixed by the most recent update, but time will tell). The help section of the app is unavailable while on an active delivery, which makes it the most difficult to contact support precisely when it might be most urgent to do so. Overall, the app accomplishes the necessary basic functions, but the user experience is frequently unpleasant.

Before I start with the security matter that concerns me I would like to highlight the fact that I put a destination that I was going to and what happened was that the gps put me trips that took me far away from where I was heading to and also I didn’t make it on time which shouldn’t be happening.
Know the security concern, I live and drive in Miami. I started doing uber about a week ago and on my first day I picked up a person who was heading to the airport and started complaining because I was delayed dropping her off but it was because of the gps. It took me to a street one way to the right and the gps was telling me to take a left. At least I was familiar with the area and I could make a turn even though the person was complaining because I wasn’t taking the route the uber app was showing to her and to myself as well. But it could cause a huge accident, plus the gps is not very clear at the time of using it. Even though is not recomendable to switch apps I’d rather use Waze instead of the Uber navigation since the route directions can be confusing sometimes and the customers gets mad because I as a driver didn’t took the correct ways. Last but not least we should have the opportunity of having unlimited destinations to take more advantage of the app and other placed rather than only home. Otherwise, the app works really well overall.
Kendall858 - Useless Customer Service
I have only been driving for a month and 141 rides but have been in contact with Uber customer service 4 times and they have never resolved an issue any of those times. 1 - Received a 1 Star rating and wanted an idea on what I did wrong and then explain I did have a passenger with special needs (his words) have issues getting out of my vehicle and left his phone in my car. Mom called and apologized and we took care of it but just wanted Uber to know.
2 & 3 - I have had 2 riders call me and want me to cancel the ride because they can’t figure out on their end how to cancel on the Uber app so I cancel and get dinged.
4 - Acceptance rate - For some reason I keep missing rides with the Uber app and not Lyft. I’m at 97% on Lyft only missing 3. On Uber I can’t get above 84%. I think it is because when I am helping with luggage or opening the doors for riders the rides are coming up. On Lyft they automatically put them in the que and I asked if I can make it so Uber does the same thing because I can’t get to 85% to become GOLD.
On all these issues they just keep saying no one can call me back but they will pass on the information. You would think they would want input from a new driver learning for the first time but that’s not the case with Uber. Just go out and have fun giving rides and enjoy your riders and try not to worrying about the stats because they don’t track them fairly...that is my opinion of coarse.

What can I say about Uber. Although I have a great record/rating as a driver, Uber has failed me multiple times with there glitches and errors. I didn't think I would ever have to write a review until now. I am very upset! The whole purpose of drive Uber is to make quick cash. I drove Uber for several hours last night and my funds were not available to me. The reps on the phone couldnt give me any type of time frame or estimate when this mistake may be fixed. I stopped doing Uber for the night since I couldn't cash out. This morning, I expected to cash out, but now my funds won't be available to me until the 17th of September!! I needed that money to pay on something now which is why I drove last night!! On top that big problem, Ubers drop off locations for passengers are still not accurate. I took one women to a location and she didn't even stay in that area. This has happened multiple times. I try very hard to give my passengers the best experience possible(and it shows on my account) and Uber can't even give me that. If the money issue happens again, I may switch to lyft. As a company, you can not promote your business telling people you will make quick money or earn money fast if your app doesn't work correctly. Thats considered FALSE information. I understand that apps/programs have issues sometimes, but one thing you must try to avoid is mess with someones money (and I mean hold/freeze it).

The app is pretty great. I ONLY do UberEats.. The quests are generous and help make you extra money. I actually do this full time now to focus on my own business and I get by. However, they should have an option for us to decide if we are willing to deliver out of the state. I understand that people that aren’t from NY or NJ think traveling in and out of the city is a breeze, and when you live in Jersey City and Bayonne it really is, but that doesn’t mean I WANT to go back and fourth, MORE THAN ONCE in a day, let alone an hour, idk how tolls are anywhere else but getting into any part of NY is EXPENSIVE. Especially now that the pandemic has made the state of New York even more broke. I don’t mind doing it, but there are days when it’s just not worth it and when I really just don’t want to. So please, idk if you people at Uber actually read these but please consider giving us an option to travel out of state, or maybe give us an option to enter how many miles from our preferred location we are willing to go. And can you maybe figure out a way to get us to our destinations without having to pay multiple tolls, I’m doing this to make money, not to pay 2 to 3 tolls for a person who’s only gonna leave a 1-2 dollar tip. If there are going to be multiple tolls, you should figure out how to make it worthwhile.

If you have not noticed Uber is trying everything they can to stay relevant, everything except the things that really matter. The first being listening to their customers both drivers and riders. Notice they change their logo, their app, their surge pricing, but they won’t change customer service... the reason this matters? Here is a real world example. The app automatically initializes the next part of the trip without me pushing a button. The reason this matters is because I had a ride with a stop and when I clicked at the stop, I let the passenger out. I then had to move the car to park and when I did it assumed we were done at the stop. As a result I missed out on roughly $6. When I called to explain this the lady that answered did not seem to have English as a first language. After that call she actually adjusted the ride so that I made less money. I called a second time and the gentlemen seem to struggle to understand my English as well. He too did not fix my issue. Do yourself a favor and avoid Uber.
Now the developers want me to take the time to submit another report about the issue. As I said uber does not get it. When drivers are out there and an issue with pay or trip arises we need it fix ASAP so we can get back to work. Missing out on money when the margins are already thin is crushing. So no I will not message you again, and like you are seeing everyday I am another driver who has moved on from Uber and not looked back.
GoodGuysFTW - 4.98 driver here, the app is broken since last update!
Hi, hopefully someone from Uber (whom has any kind of authority) reads this. Not only are pick up locations wrong - I had to start calling every passenger during pick up, to confirm there location - but they also added a terrible function where if you decline 2-3 requests in a row it will log you out of the whole app, not just put you unavailable, so you have to put in your screen name and password and get it going again and turn on rides.
Obviously during that log out multiple bad things could have happened like you lost your surge, you missed a turn, your focusing on and being required to do touch the app and try to type in names and passwords while driving - a safety hazard as well as chance of a ticket . Guys, there are reasons we don’t take every request that comes in, there are rating reasons first off. You have your multiple reasons too, like not showing destinations of the rides until they are picked up etc. please revert this log out function. I’m 4.98, have a new 2019 car, a completely clean driving record for over 20 years, and never have a problem. If I dont want to accept a ride from a bad apple or one that is behind me while I’m on the freeway with no exits in sight, or ones that are 16 mins away or even more, while I’m stuck in downtown after a mlb game, then I should be able to do that without punishment. Please revert to the app pre-most recent update.

I recently started working and i love what i was doing with uber i would make all my delivery on time in order to keep the customer happy....i had some issue with some order and I reported uber with the situation...is a rough time do to covid 19 and most of the restaurants would tell to cancel the order because they had run out of item...i did my best to contact the customer and sometimes I didn’t get a response from them....i called uber support and most of the time i wouldn't get a response... even dough i make sure i delivers all my delivery uber decided to deactivate my account because they said i had incomplete delivery....there customer out here that would complain even dough they get their food deliver.... some customer use trick and say they didn't get their food in order to get their money back and just eat for free....is not our fault there some cruel people out here that would do harm to you just for fun...i feel bad and disappointed because i lose my way to provide money for my family...i Am pretty sure i was doing the best too keep my job and my earnings but uber decided too deactivate my account permanently ......i didn't agree with this decision because I followed all the guidelines and i was blame at no fault.... i did more than 100 delivery in 4 days and my rating was 92% but all this didn’t matter to uber specialized team.....all i hope is this issue to be best review and i would love too work for uber once again.....

Thanks Uber for giving me a way to earn extra income. As of now, I have had only good experience working but one incident.. A customer reported that I was driving while intoxicated and was swerving, which I can only laugh at the report.. My body rejects alcohol and even smelling it causes me to lose my breath so in no way can I consumerist.. I probably would not have made a big deal about it but, there was a concert and I was unable to drive... Uber should force each driver to submit to a alcohol and drug test any time a report of this topics is made so drivers can quickly return to work.. if driver is has a negative result, the rider who report the issues should pay for the test and any lost wages that has occurred due to the false claim... Uber has already given me 2 drug test which I passed so I was willing to submit to a third.. Uber should also have bonus like Lyft does so we can be encouraged to drive... One last issue, for whatever reason, a friend I invited to drive always gets promotion bonus and I Never do.... being here for 2.5 years you can only imagine the bitterness I feel towards this issue.... can someone please let me know the EXACT reason why I’m not able to get the same promotion bonus...

I give it a 3 because after Ubering for a week, sometimes it takes me on toll routes without notifying me ahead of time. Since I don’t have a sunpass in the state of Florida. Then I have to go online and look for the bill for my toll. I wish it had a feature where I can avoid tolls like the app Waze offers. Also one the iPhone gps. Another reason is it’s not current with road construction within the city you are driving. This would be an amazing feature to avoid long drive times with and without the customer in the vehicle so we can avoid traffic build up. Also I’ve noticed when it tries to cut through some turns within plazas or a neighborhood, sometimes I approach an intersection that’s only one way and then I have to think quick and come up on when to bust a U turn so that the gps can reroute quickly. As an Uber driver I am required to have a profile photo. When an alert comes through on the gps I wish I can see my Uber riders photo so that in a large crowd, I know who to look for and kind of know what he or she looks like. It would be helpful if the rider is ordering a ride, that they confirm how many seats would be taken. I’m aware that it gives you the option to use waze but I like to stay within the app since everything I need when I’m “on the clock” is there all in one screen.

i got 3 wonderfull kids that keep me going. when my fren Paul introduce to me if I wanna do Uber sure why not i started my application last 3 months ago and did not meet the requirements for my 02 honda odyssey. so i ask my family if i can borrow money so i can start Uber i waited 3 months finally somebody got good hearts to land me money i find this car on social media its 08 honda fit so this month i continue my application and thank god went thru so i started driving i did finish my 30 trips in 3 days so i contacted Uber if do i get the promotion bunos ive been notified that ive alredy pass 90 days my heart sank i didnt wanna talk and quit should be considerate and understanding that i did 30 trips in 3 days cuz my application doesnt went thru when i started my application how can i starts picking up passenger if i didnt have the ride and its denied should be better if im approve and then starts counting 90 days. im expecting my bonus to pay my brother i should be more enjoying and happier driving with Uber if i got my bonus luckily my fren Paul convince me keep going and i try my best to go back on the road..

Honestly it’s a great way to make a little extra cash until you have a problem and have to call customer support. They literally had me on the line for over two hours just to tell me they could not help me. I had to wait about an hr for a supervisor for her to tell me the same thing. They are rude more than 80% will not be able to understand you and repeat the same thing meanwhile not answering your question. They get away with a lot of things because the only thing they can give out is a reference number. I asked a supervisor what Next steps I would have to take to get in contact with her boss. She said she was the highest there clearly lying. They are unprofessional and you can just tell they are reading off of a screen. Do yourself a favor and purchase a voice recorder app. Record all the conversations you have with them. They are very sneaky and Will lie to you to get one by you whenever they can. They’ve honestly push me to the point where I don’t even want to work for Uber because of them. Uber says they care but they changed nothing about their customer service. Anytime there’s an issue with the app Moneywise it’s always with your money, magically they never have issues with their part of the money. They try to act like they care but fail miserably every time. It’s sad that a multibillion dollar company would treat their business partner like trash but unfortunately that’s all Uber does
So Called Uber Partner - Drivers manipulating the Uber Queue at the airport and Uber does nothing about it
There are plenty of drivers manipulating the Uber Queue at IAH and Uber doesn’t do anything about it. I bought a $90k vehicle to be able to accept Uber Black SUV trips and all I can do is 1 to 2 trips from the airport in a 14 hour period. There are plenty of drivers manipulating the queue by somehow getting diamond status, some get it right of the back when they open an account which we believe is someone inside of Uber doing this, and requesting fake trips to the airport, canceling them when they’re on airport property and getting priority queue when they enter the waiting lot. This is causing the rest of us drivers, that are doing everything legally, to have to wait 5 to 10 hours for one request while we watch these other drivers go in and out of the queue constantly all day long. Myself along with plenty of other drivers have brought this to Ubers attention but nothing has been done. We’ve even given Uber reps the information of a lot of these drivers and instead we have received fraud alerts on our accounts. So I guess we all have 2 options. We either keep quiet and accept what’s going on so we don’t get punished or jump on the bandwagon and figure out exactly how the others are manipulating their accounts and cheat also. Great job UBER.
The way I see it Uber doesn’t care what the others are doing because they’re making Uber money regardless.

WARNING!!!!!! So I was having a night where I needed to make fast cash so I log into my driver app and I get a ping! I pick my rider up and everything is great! I went above and beyond as usual. When the ride ends I hear something sliding around in my back seat. Oh crap it’s his phone. I try to get in contact with the person but of course I can’t because he doesn’t have his phone. I then say well 24 hour customer service should be able to help me out. The site was down! I couldn’t even see who my last rider was. So I’m panicking because his drop off was at a complex and I have no idea which one he lived in. So the whole night I’m holding onto this phone that keeps pinging because he’s using where’s my iPhone app. I’m doing everything I can. Luckily his friend calls and I let them know he situation and I go and take it to them. So I’m then relieved I check and see how much I made off of that trip including the lost item fee...says 0.00 and to check back in 1-2 hours okay that’s fine. It’s now 48 hours and I’ve been on the phone waiting for customer service for 2.5 hours!!!!! I can’t cash out and I look at the riders receipt and they are paying Uber 20 dollars more than what i got paid in fees! I’m the one who had to go through all of this my wear,my tear,my gas and they are just holding onto my money. Uber is a rip-off!!!! That being said I’ll no longer be a driver with Uber! I strongly encourage those to ride with Lyft!

apps are wrong ! This is the exact same app I signed up for three weeks ago to pick up riders who need a ride somehow this same app hooked me up to deliver food and now Uber after three weeks of waiting submitting all my car stuff my insurance and everything like people really give a crap if they’re ordering food What year car I drive and whos my car insurance not one mention tho in countless emails back n forth did it say I signed up to deliver food , which I didnt. so now uber wants me to wait again 3 more weeks to go thru the whole process again w same app ? I think NOT , Waste of time and my energy . Uber apparently not for me cuz they have made it very difficult for me so m taking heed and movn along this is not meant to be for me Ill stick w LyFt and if I want to pick up and deliver food ill continue to use Door Dash. You hav been no help Uber even after being on hold several times this week w you and nothing then was resolved then either , and same crap today nothing resolved was told redo the whole dam thing again ... really where ?? same app I already used and signed up for ? which came from the apple store and googled same app but its to pick up food not riders 😡 ....

Low pay due to Uber taking 35-60% of fair, very low pay in general, minimal customers tip, market is flooded with drivers so you sit waiting many times throughout day, about two hours in an eight hour shift, horrible customer service, don’t care about the drivers at all, rare bonus and good extra income potential opportunities, have trained many customers to feel entitled, never take drivers side on real accounts of unfair Uber tactics when it comes to real issues, makes you spend hours on phone with any issues and drivers never win, Uber never takes accountability for any of their errors, customer service reps all have the same canned responses and answers to anything and everything, damage to vehicle and Uber offers a flat rate without allowing us to even provide a quote on repair work, which is far below what it costs even if reparable, unfair business practices, constant agreement updates that take away any rights you have as a driver and you can’t go online until you agree to 28 pages of legal jargon, it would take a licensed attorney hours if not days to read and understand these legal documents, only concern is to please shareholders whatever the cost is to drivers, great example of good old fashioned capitalism at its worst, take from the poor to feed the rich! If you provide a bad review apparently ever possible review name you choose is taken so you can’t submit review!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. There are many other issues but I will post the most pressing. It was a complete nightmare renewing my license information with them. They continued to reject my updated documents for a weeks. They refused to return calls that they scheduled to discuss the matter further with supervisors. Also they rejected documents without any valid reasons per the representatives that I spoke with. Many representatives didn’t even understand why the documents were rejected but could not forward me to anyone who could actually get to the bottom of it. Out of the 15 times I called about my issue not once did I speak to anyone who could help or could respond in a way that didn’t include the same non sensical excuses as to why despite perfectly valid documentation I was continuously being kept from working. The biggest thing though. Is despite the fact that this is a pandemic and for a lot of people it may be their only source of income I can tell the staff did not care. They will put you through hoop after hoop. DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY! They are not stable income. Not because of the work itself. It’s because of their extreme incompetence to resolve matters that keep their drivers on the road. Try another ride share app. Make sure you have several and do not rely on Uber! I just had to warn you guys so you don’t go through what I did.

I wanted to start driving for Uber a couple weeks ago, I already had an Uber eats account, but was told that I wouldn’t be able to migrate it to be able to take passengers. So, I made a new account. I uploaded all the documents required but there was an issue with verifying my driving history (because I have a new ID). I then followed the steps to upload my old ID under background check. Which for whatever reason was rejected (I have a clean driving history since I started driving 4 years ago) then I kept getting emails stating “your driving history needs to be verified” accompanied with the same links I used the first time. I am now not able to re-upload my documents using the links because there is no section to do so anymore. Then I figured, I’ll call customer support and get this all settled, but low and behold there’s no link to call customer support on my new account?!? (the only way Uber says you can call customer support is through the app) I finally found a link for a number on the internet, and EVERY TIME I CALLED the rep would either hang up on me or stay silent on the line. I have spent HOURS listening to that horrible waiting music just waiting for someone to help me fix a simple issue. I hope someone at Uber sees this and actually does something about their customer service, or just fixes this simple issue with my account!!!!!!!!!

I once drove for Uber recently and had to stop based on the dishonesty they were gracing upon their customers.. Example, if you are in the midst of delivering food (food in car) and something happens within the app, calling support does nothing because they will tell you to cancel the ride leaving the customer at financial loss. During a delivery, the app continued to crash.. So I put the address into my own Google GPS. In route, I called into Support to gain help. They refused to help and told me to just cancel the delivery. I explained I already had their food. Support repeating to request a cancellation on my behalf. So I did cancel but took yo the food to the customer off the app. When I arrived to the customer with their food, the were both grateful and upset. Why? It is because Uber demanded the driver to cancel, refused the refund to the customer and held the customer financially responsible for Uber’s tech error. If I was a dishonest person, the customer would have spent money on their food, on the delivery and receive nothing in return. Uber did not pay me for this delivery either. They stated that due to the driver canceling the order, the payment was being denied. Uber wrongfully takes money from both customer & driver. What a trashy company and their employees are some of the most unintelligent fools I’ve encountered.
Rodneyd2 - Uber-in a league of their own!
So I’ve been doing Uber Eats for over a month now.. I also signed up for Grubhub, DoorDash, & Postmates. Let me tell you that Ubers earnings and the app are light years ahead of the competition. It’s almost not worth taking other deliveries (if you’re running multiple driver apps) because you might miss out on an Uber delivery which 9/10 times is going to pay you more. I’ve made almost $40 an hour on a busy Sunday night. I’ve made more in one night then I was able to make all week with Grubhub. To be fair I signed up for DoorDash and haven’t been able to do 1 delivery because they require you to fight to set your schedule with other Senior drivers who get access to scheduling 2 days in advance. DoorDash and Postmates both make you wait in line sometimes to pay for the order which is a joke in 2019 since everything’s digital. DoorDash also makes you sit inside your car (or stand outside your car) while scheduled because you have to be inside the boundary to receive an order which eats gas if you’re idling with a/c at ($4.09 gallon in CA) vs taking orders from home and making double 😀. For all of you debating what to do.. I hope this helps!

First, if you start creating your account and the app glitches it will say you already uploaded your car info when you didn’t. You won’t be able to start over the registration process and wouldn’t be able to erase the account until you complete the process. If you just leave that account without finishing it and start with another email and do the complete process with that new email, after a while of working your account will be suspended permanently (without warning) because of a duplicate account.
The help Center is THE WORST I’ve seen on ANY company in this world. You have to search the help center within the app, and since it’s all very general if it doesn’t help and you call them, they will send you to go see the app’s Help Center. If you chat within the app with the Help Team, they would just end the conversation with general messages that don’t answer your question, and just say “We won’t be answering any more questions regarding this topic at this time”, even though you only asked once, and they didn’t even answer what you asked.
Definitely UBER has the WORST support for driver. Only those who don’t have to deal with the support team might give good reviews. (Some may day you should then go to the offices of your region, but in some cases, like mine, those offices are closed permanently and you can only call or email them)

I have been a driver for over 8 months and it has been a terrible experience. The Uber company does not care about their drivers and in fact, if something goes wrong, will proceed to blame the driver instead of finding the actual problem. They will never compensate you for their wrongdoings and they can never help you when you have a situation. Uber drivers are not even able to verify that they are making enough because the Uber support has “very limited resources”. Bike riders are given Vehicle navigation and Vehicle orders instead of Bike orders forcing bikers to work harder for less money. Overall Uber seemed like a great way to make quick cash to provide for my everyday needs, but it quickly transformed into a cash grab, paying the drivers less and charging the customers more.
UPDATE: I AM NOW BEING TARGETED BY UBER. Since uploading this review I have still remained loyal to Uber and I continued to deliver for them. However, I noticed that my trips are being cut short at least by half. On a good day I would have about 20+ trips. Ever since this review my trip numbers have dropped expeditiously. For a 10+ hour day I am only getting 8-10 deliveries. Being a delivery partner in downtown Chicago, I am sure one of the 7 million people would be ordering Uber eats from a store near me. But after hours of riding across the downtown and river north areas, I am lucky to even see a order every hour.

I started back driving for Uber and added the delivery to my trip types and noticed that there were issues. Watching the video about the new app I realized that under Trip planner I can’t plan my day bc there isn’t a listing for the day of peak times like it says, and there are never promotions, you can’t navigate to a surging area like the video states by clicking on the arrow, you have to navigate on your own and if I do “delivery only” my map doesn’t update at all, the surge areas do not show on the map so when I’m in a surge area the boost are not applied (my son screenshot the map and that’s how I know I should have gotten a boost bc he only does delivery)customer service couldn’t resolved the issue (they have been called multiple times about the issue several days-so I went home(after working almost 4 hrs with no boost applied on any delivery trips but other drivers were getting them yesterday). Basically my app on my iPhone seems to only want me to pickup riders bc when both trip types are selected that’s all I get even when deliveries in the area are being requested more. Was considering working more often but this doesn’t seem like it’s going to matter bc the money I made through delivery for the time period I would have made more with Bitesquad and I’m considering Lyft for riders-this was very disappointing.

I started back driving for Uber. Drove one day after putting all my new information in for my new car I had to get after and accident I had in my previous automobile that the insurance company for Uber didn’t do anything for me after I had a hit and run accident and then another vehicle hit me behind that one. Uber left me hanging on that one. But now to this problem. After I started driving again, after the first day my app and account was put on hold for a back ground check. I had to call in after a week to see what was taking so long. I was told it was back and they had to go thru it and would probably take five to ten business days and they would let me know when I could drive. I just happen to check at four the next morning and my account was back active. Part two. I sat here and drove people around and can’t get my money put on my card for the bank or Uber card. They keep telling me call back in two hours. Hell its been four and I still can’t get paid. I’ve used half the gas in my car driving people around and can’t get the money I drove for to fill it back up. Why drive when Uber can’t get there part straight.

I’m new to the Uber App after doing Door Dash for about 6 months which I have an acceptance rate of 95%. I usually don’t decline trips/orders. However with this Uber App which I do Uber and Uber Eats apparently while I’m on a trips my vehicle and the Uber App fight with one another for my GPS on my apple car play. Therefore my Uber App on my phone goes dark and doesn’t alert me or vibrate when I’m getting another trip. Therefore my acceptance rating is like 55% even though I rarely decline trips. So I can’t understand how I declined so many trips and now that I’m working through the kinks in the App there’s no way to reset you acceptance rating. In addition to doing Uber Eats there’s been a few times they’ve sent me to stores that are closed or not serving the food the customer wants. However I didn’t get compensated for driving to these restaurants. I’ve tried calling support with no help so driving 30 minutes to a restaurant that can’t fill an order is my fault I guess. I also think they should tell you how long a trip is going to be. The app sent me to a location and a customer said 16 Uber drivers canceled on him it was a 4 hour trip one way from our location. Then I had to drive 4 hours back without a return trip totally not worth it. Thinking about trying Lyft because I don’t really like the way this App works with me or my vehicle.

I am a people person and I enjoy driving passengers, I’ve been told, “you’re the best Uber driver I’ve had”, “This is one of the most professional rides I’ve had with Uber”, “thank you for an enjoyable ride” etc. I have a 4.95 rating and proud of it. When I really break down my earnings after car expenses and gas I really only make verily minimum wage. I continue to drive because I have no other option right now. Uber’s customer service is very robotic like, there is a continuance of similar answers to every concern I have, “let me put you on hold for 2 minutes while I try to resolve this issue”, they come back to us after 2 minutes just to treat the same thing. I spent over an hour, I have screen shots, given the run around over cancellation fees that happened April 4 in the morning. I waste time, money and was frustrated because no one understood what I was trying to say. I ended up hanging up and just letting it go. I have screen shots of a conversation I had with a ride requested but Uber has no record of the ride even been requested and cancelled! This is frustrating, we drive, you guys need to pay us for our work! Gas is $4 a gallon now. We deserve fair pay to level the earning we make driving for Uber.

I had a customer pickup of young ladies who had styrofoam cups filled with liquor and they were intoxicated. I politely told the young girls that I cannot under the laws of Florida transport them with open cups of liquor for which I was met with a big “F**** You!” With one passenger wiping her vodka drink all over my windshield, before I could cancel the ride the passenger cancelled the ride and received a cancellation fee. After I reported the abuse to Uber I was deactivated from the driver app and the rider was refunded the cancellation fee. I have outstanding reviews and over 500 five star ratings and countless huge tips because I treat the passengers all with kindness and respect. I am a professional and always even in this case treat my passengers with nothing but professional service. I am a older man with cancer, diabetic and just had heart surgery I do Uber because it allows me to take breaks and go home and rest when ever I don’t feel well do to the medications I take to keep me alive. I also do Uber to pay for my high cost of insulin and heart thinner meds. Uber deactivated me because I would not break the law in Florida and allow passengers to bring open containers of liquor in my New Car. Don’t know what I’m going to do I’ve put tons of extra miles on my car and was loyal to Uber and complied with the Uber policies and Florida law. Just in shock.

Uber GPS the wrong or lengthy directions. It will list a turn that is the wrong way on a one way street, it will list numerous unnecessary turns making the route incorrect when there is a shorter or more direct route and route through neighborhoods making a ridiculous number or turns only to take me back to the street where the final destination is located.
Have been to the Uber Greenlight Hub and they tell me no one else has had this problem nor the one below: when I select either google maps or waze, the GPS is supposed to open one of those apps. It never does. This causes so much frustration on the part of the customer and the driver! I always ask if they have a preferred route, making me look like an idiot!
When I spoke with the rep at the Greenlight Hub and told hm my passengers are stating they already gave me a 5 star rating, the ratings are not showing. I am part of the Beta test for Uber Pro. He noted that one of the older ratings has to drop off before the new ones show. This has never been the case. My rating should be back up to a 4.97 by now and not still sitting at a 4.94! Techs never know the answers and their response is always that I’m the only one with the problem or give some other ridiculous response!

For the past few months I’ve been using this app knowing full well it isn’t really up to par with neighboring countries yet I decided to give it a shot because the lack of opportunities in Puerto Rico is a real thing but wow...I never imagined this app would be worse than the most awful jobs I’ve had in the past. Aside from them taking a 35% to 45% cut, Uber demands you have a car that is no less than ten years old with personal insurance and certified by government agencies just to be able to work. As drivers we carry most of the costs (car payment, insurance, cellphone, gas, maintenance, clean up, etc) while Uber takes a third to almost a half of the profits. Uber doesn’t provide personal assistance. It’s all through emails and phone calls with people who don’t even know where Puerto Rico is. Not to mention the myriad of situations you encounter once you start working and how they prioritize profits over your livelihood. It’s disgusting! And this industry clearly needs to be regulated. They keep accepting more and more drivers and with each and every new driver you earn less and less by the hour. But they don’t care because that doesn’t affect them. As long as they’re making money out of your back, they’ll risk your life on multiple occasions without even batting an eye. Which they already have. Currently looking for a new job since this one is obviously a scam.

I just started driving with uberEats a few weeks ago and it’s an okay way to make a few quick bucks in a few hrs. I usually average about $10-15 per hour on a good day. i’ve noticed it doesn’t really matter what area i’m in because I live in the Missouri City/Sugar Land area and most of my deliveries there are relatively close by whatever restaurant I am picking up at. However, I average about the same working that area as I do working the surge areas because when I work those areas I have to drive so far to drop off i’m usually spending more time driving and burning gas and only getting about 2/3 deliveries per hour vs the 4 to 6 per hour I usually get in my area. I wish they would make my area a surge area. not sure why they don’t. but oh well. an improvement I think the app could use is an update to navigation that would allow you to restrict certain routes like tolls or highways like google maps does. all in all though, it’s okay. not great but okay if you have nothing else to do and want to make a few quick extra bucks. I will say this though, the pay surely isn’t adequate enough when you take into account the wear and tear you put on your car on houston’s ugly roads or the gas you burn delivering.

No question that you make money driving for Uber only if the company, Uber is trustworthy. I love uber however Uber is so ignorant about drivers especially if you are driving Uber xl or select. Imagine, they make xl and select up to x4.2 so that every request goes to SUVs. That is a shame for a company to favor one by hurting others. 17 drivers were discussing yesterday about this issue and I really felt bad when I see the same feeling from others. Everyone was disappointed and was asking similar question:- “ why some one make this company face the regulatory body or law” . More demand but you only get short trips for that is purposely set for you by Uber. Hope to pay a price one day.
I wrote the above review over a year ago and now I come back to inform you guys that UBER is becoming more and more ignorant and unfair to drivers, especially Uber xl. I will definitely start communicating with Drivers to take this issue up to the level where Drivers can get a fair treatment. We did that in 2017 but stopped soon after few Drivers including me said we noticed a big change in the UBER app which some Drivers argued and now with the the new fake surge, we Drivers are really suffering. The new app finally came to my market and like many others, I was counting down to start driving with this new partner app BUT surprisingly I noticed that my Uber profile has been changed and the Select has been removed out of my available options. I did went to the green hub not once but twice and even though they can verify I have done hundreds of Select rides during the last four years but they are not able to add Select on my profile again. The issue was escalated to the higher level and there is not even a single response back.
I have been chosen as a riders preferred partner and I received the beautiful package but the promise of getting one month reward based on $1.0 for every rider who is tipping is getting close to the end of the second month (last month) and again there is no change or any explanation from Uber! I said millions of times, Uber is a great company and I love driving for Uber but for the first time after four years history, I am quite disappointed. There seems absolutely no way to reach out the headquarter office and support is completely unable to do anything.

It’s a good platform to make some cash if you have the extra time. The support staff are usually helpful which you can rate (I think it’s cool) there is no need for cards or to place an order which is another perk. Those 3 points are each a star. However, the 2 not so fun things about this is being in a red zone where let’s say it’s a 4$ promotion, then being lured out of that zone and to another city for 30 minutes straight. Even if you reject the offer, they still send more. The biggest problem I had with this app was starting out on a bicycle account and eventually getting a vehicle. After all of my positive ratings and hard work, I was sent an email I can no longer deliver because of “fraud”. No.. I updated my vehicle information onto the app, and there is no way I’m creating a new account. I had 300 deliveries in a month or 2, and a 98% positive feedback percentage. Why create a new account? Why can’t Uber just add my vehicle information? Ridiculous. I will take my work ethic somewhere else. I’m very disappointed in this company. Oh lastly, the app has bugs. It’s very frustrating to not get to thank the customer for a tip because the app doesn’t load. It’s wishy washy when it wants to work. (Most of the time not working)

This app is probably the worst thing ever created . First , the in app navigation always send one to the wrong location , if someone scheduled a ride , you are certainly going to be sent to the back of the building and when you try to the right side of the building , the timer wouldn’t work. As Diamond driver , I seem to get the worst of the rides , riders that are more than 10 miles away for just about 3-7 mins ride. Using this app is like taking a pay day loan because when you calculate what you make and what you have spent to maintain your vehicle, clearly, you have not made anything out of the job. I have been driving for 31/2 years and rarely I cancelled a trip however my acceptance rate has tanked. Do not understand. The only thing I can think of is at one time I had to decline a trip because I had a handy app customer and knew he would need extra help to wich I have no problem with. Another situation was I got notified by Uber, someone else used my account. The other is, ever since I got my Beam my aceptance rate has been going down. It it possible the Beam could interfere with the info you are getting. It is very discouraging to be doing what your supposed to and getting penalized for my efforts. My acceptance rates have been averaging in the 90% recently I’m down to 73%. Went out the other night for less than four hours. Had 2 trips. I had to travel 20 min to take someone 1.5 miles, then got one 25 miles. Felt good about that till I checked my acceptance rate and it dropped from 74%to73%. Does not make sence. Please check my account in full for the last 6 months. If I’m doing something wrong I want to know so I can improve the problems. Thank you. Think you have a great company. Respectfully BigAl
X XL Driver - Allows Drivers to be Sexually Assaulted Does Not Care
Uber thinks it okay for a rider to Rub up and down my thigh, from my knee to my vagina multiple times. When I returned the rider’s hand back to him the first time my phone screen was cracked. I called and reported the incident and was promised that someone would contact me back. 48 hours and no response. So I call back and they say ohhh you need to place report via app so I did. I did receive a canned response we’ve received this and will contact you. 72 hours never heard back from them. 5 days no contact from Uber. Every day I have called and every day I’m told something different. But each and every time I’m told to just wait. So, today I finally speak to Critical Response Line promises me that it will be correctly handled now. It was in the wrong department. 20 minutes later I get my FIRST response from Uber they are closing the case. It is in another department. The wrong department as I have already been told. I call back for the 9th time and am told that it is in the investigation department and they will respond within 5 days. We are 3 hours from the 5 day mark. I asked what if I don’t hear, than I should contact back and they will escalate. That by the way has been done 3 times already. So for a Diamond driver who is in the top 3% of all drivers, using whatever metrics they use absolutely nothing is done.

Been driving for over 2 years with both major platforms but prefer this one over the competitor for several reasons. 1. People are more familiar with Uber which provides more rides. 2. The driver app has pretty good algorithm in major cities (iPhone 7plus) to navigate with a few mishaps, including driving Uber pool or Express 3. I tend to make more money on Uber on most given days when driving both apps. 4. Longer rides. 5. Cancel fees. 6. Fast Driver support in app. 7. More heated maps with surges. 8. The freedom it provides of a flexible schedule with discipline. The things I dislike. 1. Low pay outs on rides which require a longer travel distance TO the passenger than what you actually get paid for after completing very short rides. 2. Low payouts for mileage according to particular markets. 3. Not receiving some cancel fees (my opinion?) 4. Some passengers seem to feel a lil entitlement and can be rude. 5. The wear and tear on your vehicle period! I'm sure there's probably now I can't think of at the moment but I will say this. It does provide opportunity to change your career or change your lifestyle. I enjoy what I do and plan on moving out of state to continue.

It’s so many things that are just disappointing to me while driving for Uber one of the main reasons is safety, Uber don’t care a bit about the drivers safety for example I picked up a passenger who was fresh out of prison who was using a random persons account that just happen to already be attached to his new phone number, he told me that his self and I was in shock to know he wasn’t even associated with that account. Next they give those passengers too much power I have gotten all five star ratings til this last week 3 pool riders gave me unfair ratings because I dropped them off at the destination they requested, each one of those passengers separate rides tho wanted me to take them further or stop at liquor stores for them and when I declined in a nice professional manner there goes my ratings. Uber allows this and lies from riders to affect you from earning money, most of them lie just to get refunded back for the ride, at the end of the day it’s not worth it you put miles and damage on your vehicle for unappreciative criminals, racist people and disrespectful druggies and drunks who want to go back and forth to the dispensary and leave your car smelling like weed. Customer service is a waste of time they say the same thing for every reason you call them. I’m done with Uber they have lost my business as a customer and a driver.

As an Uber delivery driver I feel exploited only getting back 3 dollars for an order that took a half an hour. I’m making less than minimum wage doing this. It’s not worth putting the mileage on your car for chump change. Your better off working over time at your job then to do this. Doordash, postmates and Lyft pat you what your worth. This is horrible and I don’t know how Uber is still a successful business after treating there workers so badly by not paying them what their worth. Also Uber disable my privilege of instant pay just because I lost my wallet and I wanted to use my sisters card to deposit money. Now I was stuck having to ask people for money because Uber doesn’t want to give me my money after they already made their money though. This is the worst app ever and I am so happy to be doing doordash and postmates. Uber is going to die as a business if they keep exploiting workers and have a service team that actually has some authority. There is no point of even calling the help line because there is nothing they can do when your in a rut. And why does an Indian person always answer the phone. I guess Uber doesn’t care about supplying jobs in the us so they can exploit Indian workers in third world countries so they can pay them 25 cents an hour. This is the worst app and I would love to see the day that Uber dies as a business.

I am very grateful to Mr. Llord of the offices in sears in Tucson Arizona because I owe him to continue working for his attention and passion in doing his job well, on Friday 20 he lost many hours of work because i made two calls to the costumers of service and they did not help me, I was initially attended by a person in Spanish on the sears office and after trying it for a long time He suggested changing my number and wait a few days to finish his service he retired to go to the bathroom, Mr. llord offered to try it and then to analyze I noticed that my email was badly written and nobody observed with careful care that I had 2 different profiles, for the same reason they never paid me my promosion of the beginning of my first 120 rites that I am still waiting for. Also customer service does not consider that this is our job and we live from it and without caring if the problem was not resolved they ask us to call back or go to the office, I am very grateful to Mr. llord for his commitment and dedication that made it possible for you and I will continue to earn money. grasias for him and your attention to these letters. I am driving uber for more than 3 years and since pandemic started uber rides business has gone very low and thus started doing uber eats but unfortunately my uber eats has been deactivated due to false complaints from customer that the food was damaged or not recieved. How can some just be so pathetic and just give bad rating even after they recieve there order. Sometimes uber sends request prior when i am taking pictures of the food before drop off but the trip that needs to end it get automatically get cancelled and i get the notification that the dood was mot returned to merchant. How will i return the food or delivery when it is handed over ro customer. I have contacted customer support and went to uber greenhub to appeal and reactivate ny uner eats account. I dont know what kind specialed team uber has which do not consider driver brief explanation and take a one side decision and deactivates accounts. They keep on changing acceptance rate accordingly and hwn i told them my app shows high rating still my efforts were not consider. I have make enough money to buy my own food rather than stealing someone else. Due to covid building management do not allow us to up to the apartment and customers gets upset and gets low ratings. I request everyone to be very carefull becuase uner CS and speailises team belive in customer is always right.

This app is incredible fustrating, directions are ridiculous at times, I’ve lost count how many times the app will direct me to go right past the street I need to turn on only to make a U turn, thankfully I can use google maps for accuracy and options for quicker routes, also this app glitches constantly, it’s embarrassing telling a passenger I have to pull over to force quit the app and restart it. I’ve lost count at the times the app indicated to pick someone up on the left when they are on the right, oh and don’t even get me started with airports, I along with multiple drivers I know can’t stand the app at DFW, it’s failed me so many times there, it doesn’t tell you in advance the terminal to turn so you’re going in circles at times, I’ve had to cancel rides because of missed turns the app failed to indiciate in time. I also used to have delivery but only ever on my time/terms so I’d turn it off in preferences only to have the app turn it back on and in the middle of consecutive rides, I’ve called uber to complain and they mentioned they are aware of this issue but cooks do nothing about money lost. So ultimately I had them remove delivery’s all together to avoid this problem. Uber doesn’t care about its drivers and ease of use of its app, thankfully Lyft does and I’ve made the switch

Seems like most of these reviews are about overall driving experience instead of reviewing the actual app. New app design still has not fixed the same problem that’s existed for years. The GPS location services and navigation is by far the worst of any competitor’s app. It isn’t wrong all the time, so I give 3 stars, but it’s wrong too often and needs to be fixed. Riders position many times is off by blocks, which not only causes problems trying to locate them, it also causes them to enter bad addresses when they rely on the drop pin instead of manually entering the pickup location. The navigation most times is terrible. The destination can be straight down the same road and the app will tell you to turn off and circle blocks. I had an UberEats delivery one time that the drop off was literally a half mile down the same street as the restaurant where I picked up the order. The app was telling me to circle the entire area, a 4 mile trip. Also, so many times it navigates me down streets that aren’t there or streets that have been blocked off for many years now. I’ve had to cancel many trips because the poor navigation. Competitor’s apps don’t have these issues. Fix them!
Not your concern! - They lie about you making 18-30 dollars an hohr
You might think that you will be able to make a ton of money driving for uber, but the truth is you dont make even minimum most of the time. Yesterday i worked for 4 hour i barely even make 43 dollars in which i spent 12 dollars in gas. They will take care of you for a month by giving you a lot of ride request but after that its really slow, yesterday i was at the burbank airport i have seen atleast 10 people call uber right infront of me, but i did not get any request. Then i turned my lyft app and got one right away. I would give uber a negative 1 star if possible but o guess cant. I actually have my uber app on right now and i have not received any request for the last 45 minutes. When i message support they say you have to move to a busy area which is hollywood, downtown, santa monica. Im in hollywood right now and i still did not recieve it. Its usually harder when to get request where ever they say its busy. I am tired of them the only reason i am working right now is because i need extra cash, but as soon as i get out of this financial crisis i will deactivate mu account with a blink of an eye. Uber make so much money from their driver driver barely makes anything. Atleast lyft is fair with the driver and the clientele for lyft is way better they leave you crazy tips and they are well mannered.
Ck_2020 - Map won’t show surges
Recently started driving for Uber eats. I make a point to try to stay within surges areas whenever possible. Yesterday, I decided to try a new area that almost ALWAYS has some sort of surge going on. It’s not close to my home but I just wanted to test out the area. I drive all the way out there just before lunch time and the map decides to STOP SHOWING SURGES. I was completely blind and has no idea if I was even in a decent area. From about 1130am Until now (the next day), my map is not showing any surges anywhere. I even looked at a neighboring state and nothing there either.
I restarted the app. Deleted the app. Restarted my phone. I did each of these multiple times. Nothing worked.
At one point during my time Online I could see that I was in fact, by chance, in a surge area only Bc of the “$6+ minimum surge” notification at the bottom of my screen. But my map remained completely blank. It still is. It was a complete waste of my time. I tried to call customer service and I’m not even 100% the woman understood the issue I was having due to what seemed to be a slight language barrier. She sent me a message afterwards and said said someone would reach out but so far, nothing. I’m very frustrated and disappointed with how glitchy this app seems to be.

Cupidonal - Trips kilometres are paid unfair
Dear Uber driver app developers, I am writing this review to your app, and I am straight forward with what I am saying here. The trips we do are not paid properly. You guys manipulate the UberEats drivers partners kilometres. This is a big concern. I am loosing so much time to follow up each trip due to this issue. I am having evidence and I suggest that all the UberEats partners to have a look of their pay at the end of the trip and compare with the initial starting point, and you are going to see that you get paid for less kilometres. I know that you guys use google maps services and when the information is transferred in your UberEats app servers at the end of the trip, you can set a percentage between 5-20% deductions from that trip. Those money belong to the drivers are not yours. You get 25% for offering your service but your service is not accurate. You gotta fix this issue.
Bran2501 - Uber Driver App Broken and Pay
Being an Uber eats delivery partner has been a great experience in terms of work but the Uber driver app is very much broken. It make things hard to deliver a great experience to the customer. A few examples; when I send a message to customer I can get about 4 words in until the message box disappears (even when parked) you need to stay almost stone still to send a sentence. (I get this is a safety feature to avoid typing while driving) but maybe adjust movement until the message box disappears? Along side those issues. When a customer sends you a message, The message will pop up vigorously 6-8 times and the way to stop it is to click on it. Makes things hard when you delivery food and are required to take a photo and in my experience blocking the map and have made me make a wrong turn. I’ve also experienced massive delay on viewing earnings after a trip and seeing past trips.
Pay is very much hit and miss. Personally it has affected me massively as I’m only available to do delivery’s at night. And relied on longer trips to pay for my waiting for a job time, fuel, and general running costs.
I’m giving a 3 star as everything else is great. Just the app and pay needs to be adjusted.
Danish Iftikhar - Uber Eats to Uber X
The whole experience working with Uber is good but the support team can’t really solve your problems. I recently upgraded my account after almost 1.5 years from ubereats to Uber X and so far they have blocked my Uber eats account as well without any prior notification that it’s going to be blocked. I don’t think this was necessary as it’s the same app which is used for both services and blocking my Uber eats account made no sense at all. Being a rider partner it can be very devastating financially when you can’t work and earn the weekly wage to pay your weekly expenditures. That’s the way working with Uber because the base fare is below average and as an add on Uber always deducts a fee for every delivery which you never really understand what for especially when you’re not providing any good support. They have a whole bunch of terms and conditions, documentations and verification processes but in a country like Australia that’s not a problem and can be done within days. Despite repeated calls to the support team, as that’s the only way to reach for help, none has yet helped to solve the problem and it’s been over a week now. Don’t know what the new head of Uber Australia is doing here apart from the latest weekly podcasts. This isn’t really expected and has been disappointing. Please fix the communication gap between the driver partner and the support team.

The maps is terrible and not updated, the directions given by the navigator are also vague compared to google maps. There is also no system to hold the restaurants accountable for taking their time to make meals which is appalling.
PabEggy - Uber driver in Argentina
I really enjoy driving and using the app and find that it is easy to use. I love how you receive a client minutes before finishing one, it allows fluidity and constant work. I also love how I can place my home destination to receive trips in that dirección when I need to. I have 4 criticisms to the app. 1. The maps in Argentina need an urgent update. Some roads have changed direction especially in the Buenos Aires province, the government has built tunnels which the app does no recognise and it also directs you to make left turns from avenues which do no permit you to. I also think the the maps should indicate where the dangerous areas of the city and province are so that the driver can decide whether or not to risk themselves and take the trip or not. 2. On occasion the “complete the trip” button disappears and I need to exit the app and reopen it to do a manual reset. 3. I use an internet radio app to listen to music or news during the trips, depending on what the client likes, however the radio app disconnects every time I receive and accept a trip. Overall a great app, I would give it 5 with these fixes.

I’m giving 1 star for this app, it has lot of issues. Navigation suggestions are not the best. Flexy pay was easy in older version but new upgrade has no options. Viewing weekly income and daily income were easy on older version. Jobs information are not clear enough , street info and suburb info might help the drivers to decide the job acceptance . Giving jobs to the driver who are wrong directions are common error of this app. Missing the tolls used or giving tolls that are not used is another issue. Dropping pick up point and drop off point errors , drop off is not big issue but pick up point error makes work difficult and time wasting. Rates on traffic jam or waiting for someone is ridiculously low. New upgrade looks like more data and battery consuming not sure yet but its continuous sign of finding jobs and you are online sign irritates me . I know I’m online blinking all the time irritates me. And many more . There’s only one good thing , waiting que info separately in Sydney domestic and international terminal helps to decide . Some of the streets are closed for many years in Sydney but app suggests to go through that .

For the last 6 months there is an issue where there is no sound on presentations of jobs even on the Uber page they recognise that there may be an issue when you plug the phone into a car USB trust me I have tried to plug the phone in I have left the phone unplugged I have turned up the volume the Bluetooth is not on I have deleted the Uber app and re-started the Uber app I have even gone to the extent of resetting my phone and reinstalling all of the apps again I have done this three times and done a hard reset of my phone before I have done this I have deleted the Uber app in case the backup of my phone is carrying any bugs or issues across to the backup yesterday I deleted the Uber app I deleted and reset my phone I reinstalled all of the phone again then I re-installed the Uber app and today I have noticed when you have the app on automatic except with the phone plugged in or not plugged in to a car USB there is no sound when you have the app on manual except where you have to touch the phone to accept the job with the phone plugged in or not plugged in the the sound works please assist with feedback from the engineering team
RenLouco - Suspiciously not getting enough trips
I’ve been doing only Uber Eats since Mar/19 and the majority, not to say all, the trips are done during the weekends. However, I’ve noticed that since the beginning I haven’t got enough trips after 8pm (sometimes even after 7:40pm), even though I was (and I’m) always available during that period.
Lately, I have been having problems receiving trips, meaning, not receiving them at all. I’ve checked with other mates driving in the same area and they’re all getting 6-12 trips from 6pm-9pm at least.
I’ve reinstalled the app, restarted the iPhone multiple times. But nothing seem to be working fine. One of my friends has just signed up to Uber Eats and he’s getting way more trips that I am.
I’m not sure if it’s a problem with me personally, which I think it’s quite impossible, or with the algorithm used by Uber.
I’m only giving 3 stars because I enjoy the usability of the app. At least, when I do get trips it is really easy to navigate through the app as it has a good UX.
Nickinnnng - Change ‘online’ time back to ‘driving’ time pleasssseeee
This app was wonderful for the past two years I have been doing UberEats until recently when they updated the app, it has become useless and not worth it anymore.
I am a full-time student studying and working UberEats to help fund my uni expenses. I used to do Uber in the early mornings before my class or after uni in the afternoon. Somedays when I rest throughout the day, I open Uber during the night and get few orders.
Recently after the new update, they have changed the 12hr ‘driving’ time limit to 12hrs ‘online’ time limit. In the past few weeks after the update I am only getting 1-3 order during these 12hrs online time, they the app goes offline for 8hrs. By the morning time when it goes back online i am already at uni. Instead of counting the ‘driving’ time used to make these 1-3 orders like before and keeping me online to receive new orders it counts the time the app was ‘online ‘ regardless if i was resting or if I was at home. This is soo inconvenient and useless. Now I can’t make money on it as before and therefore I am forced to quit Uber and find another job.

My app has no sound at all. No sound when receiving a delivery request and even when i start driving theres no sound on the navigation but when i connect to car Bluetooth or headset it will ring. KK Race - Not happy
I had another bad experience now. This 8 hour break system wasted my day. I am on the Uber app going to check the 8 hours break time. Instead of hit the side menu my hand slipped and hit go. I called Uber support team they said I have to wait next 8 hours to go back online as they can’t help. She also mentioned thus is common mistakes nowadays driver doing. I question if it’s common mistake why they not fixing as I am loose my day income because of this Go sign front of the screen. I am really disappointed with the service I am having with Uber now. They said they have more support Center and green light hub but no one can help anyone anyway.
I also agree with the other people complaining about map I noticed map taking through very tiny street where driver may cause damage on his car. Road sign not update. One occasion I got fine for no right turn. It was very sunny day I pick up customer and as soon I start driving out from his building the road is changed to one way only. But I couldn’t see the sign as I had things down to protect the sun shine I just followed the map directions. Not happy at all.

It was a time when there were two options in Uber app settings whether to use uber navigations or google maps while delivering or picking the order, but now there is no more option left for bicyclists . If you are on a push bike account and in order to navigate, anyhow you have to go on google maps through uber app and If you don’t want to open google maps and prefer to stay on Uber App then you might have difficulty to understand the map as Now Uber maps doesn’t give you proper directions as it still gives to a Car or motorcycle account holders.
Uber maps doesn’t give you proper way like from where to go , which street to choose or from which point take a turn. It just shows your position and your pickup and drop off points in maps .
you should give options to select which maps a delivery partner wants to use. Not everyone is familiar with google maps

Uber customer is very unprofessional team when it’s comes resolving driver issues my Account was accidentally deactivated by kids taken someone photo on my Uber app during the COVID-19 time dealing with Uber support is a nightmare 🤬🤬 they didn’t reply anything for 3 weeks and didn’t even investigate and telling me fraudulent activity happened read community guidelines ok I’m sure I explain everything in messages exactly what happened but they only replied automated message really disappointed ☹️ never thought dealing with accidental mistake would a nightmare. Still can’t read messages and resolve issues if you resolve issues what is purpose for customer support team. Let me tell this is 1st time ever in 4 year I have to with customer support and it’s a big big headache. It’s was accidental mistake on the selfie photo by my kids. I have all the details of the person kids took photo including number email address and by the person still they can’t do anything to help fix it up what can we expect from them,
DatAquafina - Broken app and fare
I’ve experienced an auto termination of trips several times and it jumps out to my phone’s main page. When I pull over my car and tried to click it back on the trip disappeared and then later on I received “incomplete order notification”.
Besides that , the fare doesn’t really make sense. I don’t know how Uber calculate fare anymore. 2KM trip regularly paid around $6-$7 without supplement but when I have a 5.5KM-6KM trip it pays me $7??
Also the safety feature on text. It is way too sensitive , I could barely finish my sentence even when I’m standing still. Try to let customer know where exactly the food is or ask for detail it quits everytime and I have to re-type. Also the “can’t contact customer” feature is also pretty much useless. I tried to call customer but it always says the number is disconnected.
The map too , I’ve 3 experiences with wrong location and the accuracy makes me have to argue and put in complain to get the correct fare I deserve.

The navigation is too noisy it shows too many times wrong way, closed way or no road at all.
And when send the support the delay 15 - 20 minutes they send back $1.5 no more that. The support send annoying message and say: you have an option to choose another application.
Another thing when you have 2 orders you can’t know the rate of each order as you are the work for nothing.
Just because you have an order to that area just take another one with extra $1.

fayatee - My One and a Half Year Experience
As many of you know the new app has additional "steps" or "clicks" to see information that was previously accessed or viewed at a glance. At the same time removing valuable features that were an institution of the older app.
For the sake of a user friendly interface and safe experience I much preferred the how you could easily scroll from the main screen a tiny bit to see both your daily earnings and the time you have been driving for. This has now been hidden away through clunky navigation.
Another featured that has been butchered is the ability to see both your cancellation and acceptance rate. Nowhere to be seen. How are we supposed to track how we are doing?
Last but not least another issue I've always had (even on the previous app since DAY 1) is the reduction of audio when a request comes through. Music is always playing in my car and it is a huge safety issue when I have to force quit the uber driver app and restart it just to fix the audio level after it gets affected by a request notification. I do this about x5 times a day. Sometimes more since the latest rendition of the app.
Honestly, I think a large percentage of your driver's would prefer the old app reinstated. When you hinder the user experience at the cost of frustrating your driver's and putting their safety at risk, due to a poorly designed update you really have to listen to your employees on this one.

Being a Uber Driver has opened opportunities for us that we did not think were available to us.
It requires little effort to do something that you actually enjoy doing, and get paid for it. Yes you do need to make the little extra efforts that you probably would not do so often, like the daily car wash and clean-up instead of weekly. It takes very little time when it is done daily, as it isn’t really dirty, just make sure there is nothing tucked under the seats ect. Vacuum the mats and seats for that bit of gravel left behind by shoes and bags. Be extra politely your guests (yes they are guests, paying but still guests) Supply a bottle of water on that hot day or evening, and maybe a breath mint? Just make it fun, but don’t be “over the top”. You have the right to refuse that rude drunk client without penalty, Splend and Uber are both there for your protection
Tango2310 - Help drivers in the dark
Would be really cool if as you come up on a address the house numbers started appearing on both sides of the road. That way you could work out what order the numbers go in as you drive up the street. Particularly handing at night in the rain when both houses before my customers house had their lights on & my customer didn’t.
Would also love to be able to accept orders via my Apple Watch in case I’ve left phone in car or on my motorbike.
Finally it would be very cool to know in real time areas of high demand (nothing more annoying to driving where you think your next order might come from to get an order where you have just been) or even if a restaurant has high number of orders backed up. Very frustrating to get to a restaurant as quick as you can to find out there is a 30 minute wait.

I do uber eats and I want to move to uberX. So I uploaded every document they requested. They told it activates in3-4 days. And I was waiting for more than 1 week. There was no response from them till I contact them and when I contact them they say they need to done this and that and they tell I advice your complaint to our team and it takes 2-3 days. And after 3 days no response. Then if I contact them again then they tell the same thing for again and again but they don’t activate account. Worst customer service . I have applied for DiDi and ola they activated with in 2-3 days even they don’t have any of my documents. This uber have has all my documents since 2 years because I was doing uber eats but they are not activating account . I don’t even want to give even 1 star. I want to give 0 but there is no option. Worst uber customer service and they don’t even have telephone contact service. They are available only via email and they reply very late for email. Worst service 😡
Paulatpokolbin - Misleading and often failing
The app continues to show surge pricing that disappears when an actual job comes up. I also do not get any benefit for being the only car in an area - I will stop doing that from now on so there will be st tonnes zero cars available. My specific area is very different from the city area it is lumped into and Uber is under pricing itself and me by charging around -2.5 of what the local cab company charges. Customers would be willing to pay quite a bit more for more coverage - which would lead to more drivers in the area and with that more customers.
The Pokolbin area of NSW id a perfect place for Uber but its customers and drivers are terrible let down by the pricing settings of the app - it is a very different place from Newcastle and should be should be treated just way - otherwise Uber will fail there.

They replies to my review and that was the same automatic response given to all the other people. Your support is the worst may it be call or chat they do not read or listen wt the person is say they just keep on speaking the robotic response again and again. Uber does not even pay according to minimum wage/hr still i never complaint and being a rider that on a two wheeler is tough for all of us and still there is nothing motivating in terms of earnings for them. Instead you don’t even give deliveries now from a month now i have no earned even that much that i can pay for my basic needs above that you guys just don’t care this is my only source of earnings and what i getting? You just keep on hiring like anything cz of which the old employees suffer and i see when I’m sitting from 3 hr for getting one delivery atleast bicycle riders are getting deliveries in heaps I don’t think that’s equality. Improve not disappoint - What have you done?!
So I updated the app thinking that a few of the bugs have been sorted and I can now go back to using the app without having customer messages repeatedly read out to me until I click on it & the volume showing max but so quiet until I close then open it again and when I type a message to the customer it disappears & deletes it before I get to finish typing, just to name a few. Oh, the most annoying & disappointing one is showing that I have received a tip repeatedly for the one tip getting me excited think I’ve received many but it’s just one repeated.
But, no, now I cannot even hear the guided directions even though it shows the volume as up full, the message a customer sends while I drive I can’t hear being read out now either which is dangerous while I’m driving as it also disappears quickly now. Arg so many things. Also, to try & find in the help section where to tell you guys this is not easy to find at all.

melb2020#¥€£ - Aweful geo fencing with destination setting
I drive into the city from Melbourne’s South East suburb and put my destination on Collins S but on many occasions was sent to the Melbourne airport. It’s ridiculous when you can pin point a passenger within metres but when it comes to the driver, that pin point accuracy goes out the window. I’ve emailed and spoke with you support team on a few occasions and they advise that they are trying to help me make more money. If I wanted to go way further than the city, what’s the point of having a destination filter/setting? A few minutes either way , I understand but when it takes nearly half an hour to get back to where I want to go it not acceptable. And if I cancel the ride, you; Uber will punish me for cancelling a ride. And the other one is “I”lol pass you comment onto our development team” this would have been sorted way before but Uber blatantly disregard this for the driver. Lift you game Uber!!!! And fix it now!!!!
EvenSteven66 - Frustrating useless app
1) The app shows you the delivery address when you accept an order, but it doesn’t show you the address while you’re waiting for the restaurant to prepare the order. This would the perfect time for the driver to prepare for the trip, but the useless and pathetic app doesn’t show the address, so you can’t prepare for the trip ahead.
2) just when you approach the delivery address, the map zooms OUT so you can’t see where you’re going. The address is displayed in a tiny find that’s impossible to see...and the map becomes tiny making it very hard to see how close your approach is to the exact address... again... completely frustrating.
3) Both the daytime and night mode maps are hard to see because the direction is shown in a dark blue line over a dark grey line on the map. Any clown with an IQ over 10 would realise that gee, this is hard to see so we should change the blue to something like YELLOW, so it’s easy to see.
4) I’ve already watched your annoying and overly forced mask video and dismissed the pop up 10 times and it still pops up. Could you possibly make the app any more annoying?
The developers obviously have no idea what drivers actually need and obviously never test their useless app in the real world such as sitting in a car doing delivery. Frustrating, annoying, useless app.
Al Amin 86 - Poor Navigation
Uber should really work on how they would provide best navigation for UberX driver. I have personally experienced difficulties with navigation while I’m using it in Sydney freeway. This map doesn’t shows specific exit sign. However this narrow information which easily could miss while driving in 80km or over speed limit zone. Moreover Uber navigation take longer route sometimes, when passengers gives bad rating for that if we follow it. On the other hand if I take different and quicker route than passengers get offended again and give bad ratings. So there is plot where Uber drive nothing can do but get only bad ratings.
In addition Uber navigation doesn’t shows the name of the road I’m driving on while taking trip.
Hopefully Uber will consider those problems and find the solution soon. And Uber should make an option to use iPhone map like google map option they have.

Everything was going well. In July, I changed my mobile phone and installed driver app on that. I signed in and tried to go online. The app asked for selfie and so did I took selfie. The next thing is my account was deactivated permanently. I tried so hard to contact support team but no luck. Trying to contact again and again for about a week with hope they resolve it. I was so tired that I stopped trying more. Now, week before this day I tried to sign in again. The support team suggest to sign up with different email. So, I did it and upload all documents. After doing everything when I pressed go online app said to contact support team. Two days back I receive an email that your account can’t be activated. Today, I decided I should write a review here to help other people to be aware to dark side of uber. I has been so frustrating experience driving with uber.

Be prepaid if signing up in qld this process can and will take up to a month with the required government restrictions for booked hire ! And will cost you close to $1000 dollars you are not told about until you start working your way through the department of transports booked hire process!
And Uber does not supplement this cost !

I have just become a driver and found after all the cost and 6 weeks of waiting that I can not receive ride request due to bug in app that does not give me option to choose Uberx
3 days spent on phone with Uber support who can not fix problems but only have a level 2 call you back with in 24 hours x 3 Dyas now ? That’s 72 hours so far with no income made
How are you meant to pay bills and live ?

dmurgis - Minimum wage a dream
Get a job if you can do this as a last resort, society really will punch you in the gut when they are riding cheap and ask you for bottled water, which the pay 3 times the price in normal taxi but wouldn’t dare do the same. You earn $150 on average a day , less fuel, GST, car insurance, car maintenance no break pay , no public holiday rates as everyone in society gets and really what you are left in pocket is around $13-15 dollars an hour. All the strategy Uber tells you only works with 25% of Uber driver that do this 12 hours a day. On peak period everyone is out then you get hails to go to a pick up 12km out to deliver a customer on a journey for 7km which is only paid. You don’t get paid for the km you use fuel to get to the customer. So in action you actually in the losing side cause Uber take 30% of that and gives you nothing for the 12km you drove to get there which is running their service to begin with.

I reported many times about this issue but they sent me some copy paste without reading my complaint. I won’t drive with Uber Upon finding other job. Don’t trust Uber. Older version of uber maps had a massive problem. Every time when a driver going to pick up or drop off the customer, uber maps takes driver to the back lane not on the main street. Every time I have to figure out my self wether its a lane or street. My story is similar to one above. I have new vehicle and for 8 days I have not been able to drive for Uber Eats. The phone support tell me there is nothing wrong with my documents however they don’t know what is wrong, they put me through to tech support.
Tech support then see I’m an Eats driver and terminate the call.
I’ve messaged numerous times through the Help section of the app and am not getting a response. I do not know if they are even getting my messages. I’m trailing though all their notes and google to find more help as I’ve lost a weeks money during a busy school holiday. I am appalled by the lack of help and the trite comments from the helpline that can’t help! What company these days doesn’t have a complaints department? Maybe I need to contact trading standards?!

Firstly, i am working with uber from more than one year on full time but now it is such a worst time i am facing because you are doing partiality with car drivers . In starting we earned $250 per day easily then we drop down to $150 per day and now it is the worst time that make us impossible to earn even $100 in a day. You can check my account from last month ,how much i am earning in a day . First you prefer push biker then motorbikes and in last comes the turn of car drivers . When we call you usually you always told there are not much deliveries in the area but it is totally fake . I cross check from 3-4 bike riders in last week and they told me they are earning minimum $250 in a day and even push bikers are earning more than us and you can check our account. I am really disappointed and i cannot expect this type of partiality from uber.

Advertises flexibility but there’s no flexibility beyond when you turn your engine on and off and that is dictated by times of mass transit. Every other aspect of driving for this company is directed by the company. Selective preferential job allocation means earnings are variable and insecure, preference growth of passengers means potential loss of access to the product and loss of income. Time off due to illness or for any other reason is penalised. Uber only has an app. The cars are provided by drivers who are not compensated in any way for the use of them or their depreciation. Drivers do not get paid enough to make a living. Flexible payment is really access to a loan shark that demands high interest in the costs of petrol and maintenance on any amount earned. Driver and passenger ratings are not given equal status by Uber. The company is a financial cowboy, living on loans while accruing $billions losses. Uber is a scavenger.

DEV team, I know you guys work hard to build up the App, but we (Uber drivers) losing a lot of money and wasting time because some of issues that App brings to us.
1/ Driver chooses destination where driver wants to go but 90% App automatically accepts a trips against the direction or far away from the destination. For ex: Driver wants to go East, APP accepts trip go to West (10 km away from the destination). These issues happened all the time. Why?
2/ Please add one more function (3 level of Zoom Out/In of the map). At the monent, it is extremely hard to know where to turn at the round about or small lane/street because Uber map always zoom out for whole map, everytime driver tries to zoom in to see where to turn, system automatically zoom out for 1,2 seconds. Please fix it.
3/ Due to zoom out map like that, driver has to choose another Navigation (Google map / Waze) to know where to turn, so driver used to miss another trip from Uber App because the notifications of Uber Driver App on IOS is completely useless. Never ever works like the other app. Never vibrates or make any sounds for the next trip if you are not on the Uber App (using Google Map or Waze Map) at that moment. Please fix it.

It hard to thrust the map and a system that usually collapses through busy periods. Today my app. stoped showing the pick up addresses. I need to star calling customer to know their pick up addresses and asking for dirección to bring them to their destination. I decline 2 request. I drive 16 minutes to pick up a passenger at Coomera Sport Club. The person call me saying that they where waiting at Merrimac to go to a Cricket game. She was upset. Off course I will lost my booking fee because the system failed on my.
I call UBER support. They recommend to sign in and out the system. The point is that other customer where commenting about the multiples issues they have to book a trip.

The map is not very up to date. 1. There is a laneway in one suburb that it keeps wanting me to drive down. 2. There is also a ‘no right turn’ in another suburb that it wants me turn right at. Number 3 is a journey through 3 or 4 consecutive laneways only to meet a big wooden barrier. A major road is one street over! All have been like that for 20+ years!
I have suggested previously that you have a ‘map update’ report. If 2 or 3 drivers tell you the same thing then you can update your map.
Issues like this mean I can not fully trust the map and spend time looking at the phone for other routes or obstacles instead of driving safely.
Otherwise is a good app!

Ok, first time write a review, I was really frustrating today, because I saw the surcharge was x 2.7 at south yarra. Then I tried my best to get there to get a good trip then I can go home, it’s almost 4am in the morning. Then I wait like five minutes, no trip was called to me. Then I thought maybe something wrong. I closed the app then open again. The app asked me to do a selfie check. Are you fxxking serious? At this time? This moment? When driver to get a surcharge?! Then I understand why, because the system needs a check but it won’t let you know until you close and open again the app, until then you have no idea if they want you to check, but you won’t get any riders.
This just destroys my day.
You should do better Uber. I have never complained other things. So sad.

After having great experiences with Uber x for roughly 11 months, I can say I’m now extremely disappointed with the little support driver partners receive. My car was damaged by a rider intentionally which resulted in my seat belt straps having several scratches and marks, my seat belt looking deformed and damaged, the metal parts of my wheels left with dents and scratches, as well as small dents and scratches on the side of my car. Instead of receiving support, I was victim blamed and my issue was treated quite unfairly. This means I’ll be stuck with paying for damages that I didn’t cause. If I don’t pay for the damages then it’ll have a negative effect on the value of my car when I decide to sell it in the future, as well as the possibility of the seat belt not working properly as a result of the damage. I’ll be sure to let everyone know about how Uber treats their driver partners.

When I’m editing my profile and there’s a request, It doesn’t go to the map with the 2 buttons to accept or decline because it’s stuck on the edit profile screen and I can’t exit it to accept the request. Also this is unlucky but when I press the top left corner to go back a few pages, suddenly a request pops up and while I’m tapping, I without intention press decline request.
I suggest the screen fade to black then slowly reappear with the 2 options so I know what to expect.
You might say just go offline and do that but while I’m I offline I’m missing jobs
And the navigation is poor compared to Google. I was paid for driving 0.1kms when the actual trip was 0.8kms because your maps found a nonexistent route which was a straight line to the place which took 0.1kms which was inaccessible by a car or bike.
Praveen Raher - Many Issues in App
1. After changing the Speeding Alert from default value (10km/h) to either 1 or 15km/h, this thing again reset to default when you reopen app.
2. When trips are set to auto-accept. After accepting a trip when you are on the way to restaurant & has opened other app for navigation, sometimes Uber give a notification in background that “do you want to keep this trip”. If you miss that notification while observing on road than after reaching the restaurant you will notice that pickup is not there any more.
3. Something when timing of taping on 3 line in top upper left corner & timing of pop up a new trip request is same than trips are cancelled by accident. Much number of trips are declined by me as an accident as compare to willingly declining. In IOS the option of going back within uber app & other options also comes in that corner.
So my suggestion is after immediately tapping on decline, app should provide 2-3 seconds to reaccept that request or double tap on decline button in order to decline. Otherwise in setting you should provide an option after enabling that it reconfirms again before declining a trip request.

I am discontent with how bad the Uber Navigation app is. This is influencing in my rating. This is because despite I take my job seriously and try to deliver the best service possible, it is impossible to control your rating if your navigation tools aren’t updated. Also, it is impossible to know the areas better straight away as Uber covers ample distances and areas to work in. It is impossible to learn all these areas to avoid navigation issues.
You guys make a very good revenue out of Uber service, the least we expect is a good Navigation system and an accurate pick up system.
Pick up locations sometimes fail, specially when the location is not a residence but a business.
Overall I am happy and proud to work for Uber, although I do not find fair being rated for aspects that are not 100% under my control. This is Inaccuracy of Navigation systems(I.e one way streets, alley ways beincounted as roads when they are not,...) and inaccuracy of pick up locations. All these inccur on client and rider frustration.
If there is other Navigation app that it can be used, why don’t we get instructions on how to?

I have both optional accounts UberX Ubereats since I turned up Ubereats to UberX from that day I haven’t received a single request of delivery in a busy lunch and dinner areas. When questing why can’t we get delivery requests. In reply saying to sign on sign out delete reinstall our app. Did same still same problem. During weekdays UberX is not a source of income spending 10 hours hardly earn $150 in a day. That’s why I need to have Ubereats as well to make it stimate earn Money to Friday. More over UberX fare is not exact showing fare it’s always $3 to $5 less showing in fare. I have asked many consumers about their distance ride fare. They mentioned $20 in Uber fare it’s showing consumer fare $18 which is hidden from Driver partners. And is a lie better to switch account to taxi.
Uber unimpressed - Feedback System Needs Review and New Features need to be added.
- One of the biggest problems I find with the uber driver app is the feedback system. It is extremely hard to improve on feedback when you can’t see what time an order is due to customer or when you need to be at the restaurant for pickup. How can we improve on something we can’t see?
- The navigation also needs fixing, the uber app navigation constantly tells me to do illegal things like crossing solid lines and doing illegal uturns, in these case I have to keep going and use extra kms but because uber calculate distance before trip its not paid for. The support team are unhelpful and just tell me to use a different maps which doesn’t equate for compensation of kilometres
- The app is also very buggy, when the app is running in the background and I get a request almost all of the time when I go back into the app and tap accept it will spin for over a minute then say “Something went wrong” this also happens sometimes in the app.
- I also think the app would see a huge improvement if you implemented a better UI to work with CarPlay and AndroidAuto to make it safer for drivers or to at least add voice control to accept requests.

I got a simple issue with insurance documents, I am not the owner of the vehicle but I am insured driver. I sent those documents to Uber 4 weeks ago, then I have been calling Uber support to get approval 5 times, agents said everything was correct , then I’v been rejected for name not matching. 4 times ! 4 TIMES support team said they could see my name was matching correctly but approval team kept rejecting me for same reason, and every time support team said that everything was good, asking me to wait 24-48 hours , then I got same result every time , how can I get support for Uber, they are getting unprofessional to support that saying things in a nicer way, but this simple issue not be able to get it done...
What should I do, keep calling them or giving up...

Hi, uber now introduced a new trips called UBER CONNECT which the drivers need to be very aware of that. The people who book this connect service can give any parcel to drivers to deliver at destination. But people using it to deliver drugs a alot, which i have faced the situation two times got pulled over by police. When they check that package it got drugs in that and i have got arrested for that. When i raised a complaint on uber they simply said they dont help us with any legal obligations as we are on our own to face that kind of situation. So all the driver parters please be aware of what you are delivering when you do UBER CONNECT as uber is not really taking any responsibility. Police investigated me for around 3 hrs of no mistake which made me crazy and in the final uber said they got nothing to help me. Which was very bad.

Rider gave me one star rating because they dropped pin on wrong location. As they are drunk and called me that I am at wrong pickup location. Anyway I got the new location on phone because they didn’t knew how to adjust pin location. I picked up and dropped them. After that I saw they gave me one star rating and put bad pickup experience🤷♂️. I contacted uber support and told them everything and they said the ratings cannot be undone. So people can give you wrong unjustified ratings and you can’t do anything about it. Uber is very unfair, unprofessional and one sided. After driving for them for over two years and keeping a rating of over 4.94 constantly they shut me down without even talking to me or hearing my side of the story as an all edged rider said that I had inappropriate conduct towards her or him. It is outrageous and disappointing that they make this decision without even speaking to me. I have a dash cam that records everything that I speak with the riders so I can actually prove that I have not been inappropriate with any riders whatsoever. I have over six thousand trips with heaps of comments and impecable rating so I could actually sue Uber for defamation as this is not true. Everyone is allowed to speak for themselves but they are not even giving me that chance, which is absolutely ridiculous considering there not even any true to this.

I’ve been struggling with UberEats for
more than one month with issues in my account. I just finished a chat session with Aaron, where I spent almost two hours talking with him over the chat asking him the same question over and over again: “Do you believe in everything you’re offering me as a solution?”. He never answered my question clearly and directly. He assumes a position passive-aggressive and starts sending me messages about my tone. I asked him to highlight when I was being inappropriate when talking with him, nevertheless, he has not answered me back.
This chat was finalised with Aaron saying that he could move forward because of my tone and my question is still without an answer. I do not think I am going to get any answer back from Uber. That’s fine. They have lost a customer/partner. Maybe, it is nothing for them today.
Uber, Aaron is just like you, do not believe in your own process, procedures, deadlines and gets angry when it is asked why he is doing something he does not believe! Why he is offering something he knows it will never happen that way.

For a billion dollar company, the app is actually not that great. Maps are so terrible that it guides you to dead ends and no left/right turns. If you lose gps signals you pay tolls from your pocket as Uber can not detect if you went through a toll road. For a city like Sydney you keep losing signals in the cbd area all the time. Also if you are not given the toll amount, Uber expects you to go through every trip and spend hours to calculate how much you are underpaid and do their job for them and waste hours of your personal time. Current version requires a lot of bug fixes. If you toggle preferences it will still send you requests, ultimately have to cancel the request and it impacts cancellation rate and everything else.

Uber takes advantage of drivers by providing wages that are ridiculous and pocket a third of the few dollars you make. The only way to make Uber make sense money-wise is counting on tips and speeding through the streets to save time to fit yet another delivery. Tips are like throwing dices, you can get nothing, a mere $2 dollars or more. You can’t really count on that to make a buck. Uber has algorithms in place that limit your earnings to the max. On average, a half-hour delivery will get you maybe $8... Cut off the car maintenance and gaz costs and you have less than the minimum wage. To put the cherry on top, you are rated by customers on each delivery and let’s be honest, it doesn’t take much for a customer to get grumpy waiting for food and touch the thumbs down review on the app. So combine all the factors above together: the result is a mess. Uber is modern-day slavery.

Uber took 30% from driver fare, so drivers’ income mostly are depended by tips from customers. But lots of customers don’t pay tips even we deliver for 10km. So hourly pay for Uber eat driver is even lower than provincial minimum pay, the lowest hourly pay I got is only 7$ and highest is 15$ for doing Uber eat. If Uber eat app can change the tips system and took less percentage from drivers, it will be more fair. And Ubereat already took 30% from restaurants merchant side by every order, then took another 30% from Ubereat drivers, that’s way too greedy!!!

You are only able to type numbers in the zip code, when you contact the customer service, she told me that it is the only way to do it so I have to uninstall and install the app, done that but still the same issue.
Another thing is that some restaurants don’t mention that it is mendatory to have a delivery bag, then they put a thumbs down for you with that reason (probably because you sent a bad feedback due to their excessive waiting time). Better switch to another competitor!

Have been unable to go online for 6 days. Support does nothing other than tell me to re install the app and that they are aware of the bug. Even when the app does function it’s freezing and glitching constantly. Navigation is trash compared to google maps and will not avoid toll routes, it may even direct you to one. Uber will not reimburse the toll..

I wish they’d somehow fix the map, multiple times I’ve been told to turn one direction and when I do, I am told to pull a u-turn right after. Map had me make 2 u-turns on the same road and probably would’ve kept trying to if I did not look for the place myself.
Pay wise ... pretty sad we use all this gas and put all this wear and tear on our own vehicles to get mostly $3 deliveries and the benefits for gold and such aren’t even that great.
There’s a few things that could be improved.

Uber is amazing. I love working with Uber and only drive for Uber. However lately in the past few months, I get locked out for hours at a time for no apparent reason!? It’s hard when you depend on it to work

I have a problem receiving orders for the last five days; all I get from support is their copy-paste answers of how to restart the phone, force quit the app, etc. I have tried everything they asked, and yet the same problem persists. I wanted to talk to management, but they are nowhere to be found; all the customer service employees give you false promises.
Swarnim Raj - App marks order as delivered if nearby customer
App marks the order as delivered while I'm trying to find the building. It also goes into unresponsive order state sometimes. There's no option to contact the customer in such faulty delivered cases and the customer care has too long a wait.

I started driving for them last week and they won’t pay me my money. I keep calling the customer support and they claim I was paid but I when me and my bank request a transaction ID they hang up the phone or place you on a long hold and drop the call. The pay is cheap and not worth killing your car over!

Phone volume goes down automatically and music stops always when this app navigation or any notification rings. While connected with bluetooth, the app does not gives you proper notification and after disconnecting the Bluetooth the app wont sound any notifications on the phone. This app is full of bugs.
uber east driver - Pay is horrible
I have been with Uber since 2017 but now this new payment policy I am getting only $3.99 per trips and some time I have to ride my bike for almost 5 km and getting only 5 dollar. Uber should really work on riders’ pay. We are working without any benefits.

It’s becoming frustratingly unreliable. More often is showing to contact Support about my account. There is an issue with my account, duh! But support over and over provides me with the same troubleshooting steps to tell me that there is an issue with my account, and many other more accounts...

I see I was charged a $5.50 cancellation fee from @uber when the driver cancelled on me! I texted and called the driver when the app said she arrived & I was waking up & down the street trying to find her. She didn’t answer my calls or texts & cancelled then I got charged? 😡

@venusianbella I wish uber had a gender specific driver thing. Like. You can choose your drivers gender, age but not ethnics. Because there are a lot of creepy uber drivers out there. There arent many female drivers out there. But i feel more safe with them.
