Spell stones. This is a very well thought out game. It takes some time to build up a good collection. Keep plugging away at those quests and events and you will have a good group of cards before you know it. Always be in a guild when going after bounties...the gold bonus adds up. Been playing this game since it came out. One of the few games my son and I both still enjoy. 5 stars is well deserved.

Must pay hundreds to have fun after level 12. After you progress to level 12 or want to be a meaningful member in the weekly events you HAVE to spend money. At first purchases are around $3 which is fine to keep you playing. Then you will hit a wall and at minimum to get 1 card you will spend $20. Most purchases for decent bundles are $30-$100. Basically a good game to play for a couple days then drop it due to the incredible cost expected to play the game. In order to “grind” for one of these cards you can expect to play for around a month or get lucky with the 0.2% drop rate for legendary cards. Have fun.

Nice, but a few issues.. The gameplay is ok overall, I've been playing this game for 4 or 5 months now. Artwork is nice. The skills and battle system is simple and enjoyable, but you can only stay competitive in this game if you do at least one of two things. You either have to pay for at least 1 or 2 premium packs or purchases every once in a while or play this game actively. This game does not treat inactive people very well as all events are based on a sort of stamina system where you have to log in to spend that stamina before it caps out and you just basically lost a battle you could have done. One of the events, you can even buy the stamina for premium currency. These events are not typically difficult until you get high scores, if you get higher scores, you will be matched against better players, this ranges from beginner, to endgame player depending on your score. The pvp is ok but very awkward at moments. At the beginning, it will be completely unbalanced as you'll typcically be matched with people leagues above you and get destroyed. After that, matchups are fairer. This game is not locked behind a paywall as many idiots have announced after playing this game for one or 2 days. After a month or so, you can build up a nice (kind of) competitive deck. The story is different for top tier as you will probably have to have either played that game for 6 months+ or pay money.

Great card game. Like most games there is a bit of a learning curve but this one is pretty straight forward collect cards join a guild battle other guilds for better cards. Not overly simple are complex strongly recommend.

I dont know how to quit it. Addicting, extremely competitive game that you will spend hundreds a month to stay relevant. Drop rates are in the 0.2 - 0.5 % chance until you empty an entire vault so beware. Customer service is also pretty non functional, attempted to recoup missing cards and stones during pulls and received a really generic response, but alas i still play as ive been playing on and off for far too many years. Just be careful spending. I should also mention to the devs that whatever you did to reduce the titan animations makes absolutely zero sense. Spiff up the game already since i know folks are spending small fortunes playing this thing.

Love this game. I kinda got stuck but, the thing is it incorporates a lot of other game parts and I could do other things to progress

Great Card type game. After playing around with so many of the other card games. It has been great to find this game although initially there was some quirks seems like they have figured all of these out. I haven't had any login issues or game related issues with this in a long time. It has been fun and challenging. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a card type game.

Some flaws. You can restart and when you get to a higher enough level it get boring so I hope they add a restart button or some thing that makes you restart

This is one of the best games I played.... You know, Kongregate, I actually wish that all the characters of Spellstone were real. I've been loving this game ever since I first got it in 2016. Also, the creature in Spellstone that I would love to be is a Water Elemental.

GET IT!!. This game will easily kill hours and leave you with ambitions to to reach the highest of levels, with its huge variety of cool creatures and its strategic battle, this card game is definitely one you want to play

Buy it!. Amazing game that allows a lot of different ways to win battles and cards!

Enjoyable but buggy. Spellstone is an enjoyable game for an extended period of time. However, you will eventually hit a p2w wall and start progressing at a significantly slower rate without paying money. The game suffers from an unacceptable amount of quality of life bugs. On the other hand, the developers are active in the game, the game constantly changes and there’s always something enjoyable to do. But there are way too many consistently appearing bugs.

Fun game. Friend showed me it and it's just a genuine good time. Fun for road trips.

Shard walls. Great game but when completing the shard wall task I haven’t been awarded my gems. I don’t know if that’s a bug or something but kind of frustrating.

Fun game with minor flaws.. A very fun and rewarding game with PVE, PVP and story modes. The PVP element is almost ruined by Pay-to-win players, but it is still fun to play.

Arena after update. The arena matchmaking after the recent update is horrible. I am rank silver 1 and am consistently matched to people gold 2 plus, making it nearly impossible to win in the arena. Which makes it impossible to get arena awards which are necessary to craft some legendary cards. Plus those losses lower your rank.

Issue selecting cards. First of all I want to say I really like this game it’s quite fun to play and the crafting mechanics are nice. The only problem that I have seen is that there aren’t any ui scaling options for the iPhone X that account for the notch in the screen which can cover some important elements like enemy health. Additionally there seems to be a bug where I am unable to select the right-most card in my list when I am trying to upgrade/dust/add them to my deck Hope these get fixed soon and keep up the good work.

Really like it so far. I don’t see any flaws with this so far. I’ve gotten to the point of just unlocking bounties and I really enjoy it. No ads that Ive had to deal with either. U don’t need to pay to play either. I love this style of game and I’ll be playing it for awhile. It low key is like similar to what I would think would be Rise Of Mythos mobile but with a cartoon look but in some ways cooler

Enjoyable game, but fix the servers. Very addicting game. But expect to spend money if you want to compete in the arena. The reason for the lower rating is because of the terrible lag in the arena and the poor touch response. Trying to scroll through my cards constantly opens a card, even though that was not the intent. You need to be very light with your touch to scroll, it should not be that sensitive. I have never seen any other game that had this issue. This is not a graphic intensive game, the lag should not be so bad when playing in the arena, I have given up on live games. Fix these and I will change my rating. Update- I am lowering my rating, the arena issues are so frustrating! It’s bad enough that you have lag on a Low graphic game, but for no reason auto play turns on in the middle of a match. What is the point of having an option to turn OFF auto play in settings if it’s going to turn on by itself for no reason!

Fun, but slow. It is fun but later in the middle you have to do the get different games for shards, or you pay or your goth is slow.

Fun, if you are okay with spending some money. You can go totally f2p, but spending $10 a month or so will greatly improve the experience. Some cards needed for success at high levels are only available with shards. Purchase a shardbot, wait for Scout's Deal.

Lost my game data after months of play. This was a fun game. Addictive and simple. I played for most of a year and then today out of nowhere, it’s all gone and I’m back at zero. Done with this game.

Deserves way more. I remember I found out about this game through a certain quest in another game and I was just trying to get it done but I found that i couldn’t stop playing, it was so addicting to me and I still play it consistently to this day. Such an underrated game with so much work put into it!

!!!!. This game is really fun so far! I like how it’s animated I guess... like a cartoon. This could honestly be a cartoon that I would watch all the time and every morning or after school I could just watch this. It has a tv show vibe to it.

Great potential. I see great potential in this game, however it always is reloading and crashing, always taking you to the loading screen, restarting fights and overall making the game unplayable, and then the balancing issue, right away everyone you go up against has legendary cards so it means you’ll get stomped everytime

Not a Bad Game. The game is fairly simple to understand, and easy to get good at. The energy system is really annoying though.

I changed my mind. I still think this is a pay to win game and can be a little unfair, but it just takes time to get good at it without spending money. I recommend you save you first gems till a higher level we’re you can use them to open a twenty gem box, and immediately get an epic because I did that for a friend weeks after I started playing and now their as good as I am.

Great game very addictive. The one downfall is after a while to be even close to top competitive in this game you have to spend a lot of money. I’m in the number 1 guild in the game and this applies to many others as well. With that said the game itself is very good and they have great customer service

Great game. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect walking into this game I figured it would be to similar to lil alchemist but it is a very different game with an easier gameplay. I haven’t been playing for too long but I can say it’s a great game and like many other kongregate games it is not pay to win and is very unique.

Pay to win. Great game but in multiplayer battles they are very random who you play against so me a silver has to go against a gold who has 3 mythical and 4 quad upgraded legendaries. If you don’t spend money on the game you will not win easily

Fun early-midgame, severe p2w endgame. The game is a lot of fun in the beginning. It’s initially fun and rewarding to work your way through the maps, earning cards and other bonuses. Fights are fast, and the art style is bright and colorful. Eventually though, you’ll have to participate in competitive events, and that’s where the wheels fall off. Paid cards, especially paid champions, are vastly better than anything you can earn through gameplay. The primary rewards earned from events are stones to level up champion cards. Stones to upgrade paid champions can’t be earned through playing, only by paying or getting extremely lucky with a chance pack purchase. Buy yourself a strong enough deck and you can consistently rank near the top and rake in the stones while others fight for scraps at the bottom. More stones means stronger champions, which means even higher rankings, increasing the divide between heavy spenders and light spending or free players. There is fun to be had, especially early on, but be prepared to spend a small fortune or a grind for meager resources as you progress.

A high recommendation. Really good game it's time consuming which works for it while not overloading you with side quests

Pay to win. This is, at its core, a pretty good game with some balance issues. It has just one big flaw - it is 100% pay to win. If you don't plan to spend $100s or (better) $1000s on this game, don't bother.

Free Shards. I really like the game and I enjoy it a lot but I’m not one to spend money on games in general. So when I check to see that I can get shards for free I was excited only to see that every one of the rewards required credit card information anyway and some even offered a reward for less than I would get for spending money in game. Its really a simple thing but the endless rabbit hole of surveys and inputting credit card information is annoying.

Fun game. To be honest I spent a lot of money on this game back in the day on Steam. This is Steam/phone crossplay compatible. Still I enjoyed this game then and I am enjoying it again now that I'm burnt out on other games. The stamina regen is a little brutal, the want to buy cards to make yourself better quickly is strong but you can enjoy this game without money. There are multiple guild and non guild events to slowly build your team. This game also has auto battle with up to 3x speed which is something I feel is a must for my phone gaming style. All in all this is a fun game. Yes it has a lot of the hang ups that most phone games have wanting to make money hand over fist but it is still a good time.

10/10. My boyfriend has been playing this game for awhile so I got curious and downloaded it too and I understand why he plays it all the time. It's a fun game.

Great game! expensive pay to win.. This game is a lot of fun. The downside is I’m at a place in the game where I need to spend a lot of money to get further. I don’t mind paying a few bucks to support a game and so far I have. But to max out my VIP rewards would cost me at least $200 assuming I need 120 VIP points per level. I have paid to get to 3 but I can’t pay any more. I can’t afford or justify spending that much. Please make the gains from paying more or lower the price.

Love the game, overall. Power creep is a bit much to keep up with w/o paying through the nose for honestly very little reward usually. Support is fantastic though. I love the card art and the variety of viable play styles. The matches themselves are really minimal so it’s pretty easy for anyone to pick up and learn.

I adore this game to bits, from the enticing stories, to the amazingly humongous cast of cards that you collect to optimize the strongest team, this game’s the golden standard of card games! You can either buy your way to victory or simply G R I N D your way to the top depending on your play style, and other mechanics and gimmicks this game holds is beneficial, like the upgrade and rune systems which strengthen your team for the better, so I am proud to say that this game’s great. Also, there are other sets you know, so can you please make all but set 5 cards and mythical cards in the common, gold purchased spellstones? It’ll be the convenience, thank you! Another issue is that the card battles sometimes lag out, and when they stop lagging out, they send me to the campaign map. Can you please fix it? If you can’t, that’s ok.

Lots of fun. So far it is lots of fun. The story is engaging and there is strategy involved in playing the right cards. It does limit game time based on an energy system but if you are happy playing in short doses then it is worthwhile.

Was great, but now.... Game was fantastic, but now after a few updates it is HEAVILY weighted to p2w players, they nerfed the only useful free cards, and made the paid cards better, no daily reward system, horrible standard income system, this game is past its prime. Developers are only after paying players now. Don't get me wrong, this is fun for a few days right up until you hit a massive unscalable paywall.

Too long wait and pay-to-win. PLEASE REMOVE THE ENERGY FEATURE. The developers just need to remove the energy feature because this is actually a really cool game but you can barely play it. It's so frustrating. Just make it so that you can play it as often as you want instead of have to wait all the time. Also I wish there was some way to make shards ... Maybe convert 1000 gold into one shard or something. Because the way it is at the moment is it is too much pay-to-win as to get the best cards you have to pay. I understand you've gotta make money but the format at the moment is just TOO greedy. I wouldn't mind paying a little bit here and there to get an edge or boost but at the moment it's just too p2w. So yeah fix those two things and it would be 5 stars but the way the game is at the moment I can only give 1 star.

Very buggy!. This is honestly one of my favourite games on the Appstore but it is really buggy. This game constantly crashes on my iPad especially when i enter bounty quests. I was in the top 100 but because of this constant crashing, i am unable to progress on the leaderboard and i am dropping quickly. Please fix this problem.

It was okay at first. I have been playing this game for a few days now but I have hit a wall. At first all the battles were easy and I basically couldn’t lose. At this stage the map battles and bounty battles allowed you to collect gold fairly fast which then let you get cards fairly fast, but getting enchanting powder was and still is hard to get so you can barely level any of your cards which is what makes your cards stronger. But just recently I have gotten to the point were half of the bounty battles are against legendary heroes with high level legendary and epic cards that just crush me, I also just made it to the live battle arena but everyone I have fought has also has legendary heroes and cards. So from what I have played the game is completely unbalanced to the point were you are crushing your opponent or being completely crushed. The only way your deck can get stronger to compete is with more enchanting powder which you can’t even buy unless you buy expensive bundle packs which still would not give you enough to make your deck competitive. If only the game was better balanced so that battles were challenging but not impossible and enchanting powder was not so hard to get then the game would be great.

Good game but.... Once you get further into the game it takes forever to advance because you take a turn, out of points, wait fifteen minutes, take a turn, out of points, repeat. Way to much waiting for points to replenish, typical of Kongregate.

Great!. Certainly the most amazing card game on iPhone! The music and the cartoon graphics are amazing. Just wish I could play offline.

Absent Dev and broken mechanics. One of the most frustrating games I’ve spent any time playing. I have videos of the skills in game interacting and nobody can explain what is happening because they work some times, and don’t others. Dev hasn’t responded to a support request for weeks. You need a 3rd party app like Line or Discord to communicate with your team and the community

Fun. Great game so far

It is a p2w game. Fun game for a few months then you realize you need to pay to get elite cards in order to win. After that you will realize the game has a year cycle before the good cards are effective again, which is when newer and stronger cards are available to purchase.

Fun game BUT.... The effort vs reward system is no good. You get very pathetic rewards that are not worth the work you have to put in. The in app purchase prices are outrageous for what you get! I couldn't believe what you are charging. The major component you need to get ahead is the dust. This can't be purchased. Instead you are expected to dole out large amounts of money for useless items or cards to break which give a measley 1 dust each. Deleted this greed machine.

Less fun really quickly. Unless you're willing to pay absurd amounts to improve, it plateaus pretty quickly and you're stuck grinding it out with no discernible reward. It's very hard and unlikely to get good cards, so you just become fodder for p2w players. I would recommend against getting it in the first place - just frustrating and disappointing in the end.

PTW. A pretty big one too. There are hundreds of cards (which IMO too much) which are waaayy too hard to collect. It takes a bunch of time to get into a good position (i.e lvl10 bounties), gives too little energy to go far at a time, and overall a huge Pay To Win.

Devs are scums. Stay away from this cancer It was amazing until 2 years ago. Now its a complete mess with a big Russian group cheating and using exploits. And the developpers are not doing anything to adress this and ignore everyone. Some people spent upward of 30k$ in this game yet the value of their spending is diminished by the cheaters. And the devs completely ignore the issue and its player base. I say the game is completely dead within the next year.

Beautiful cartoon fantasy. Excellent, Disney styled cartoon art combined with simplified, Magic-ish card mechanics make for an easy battle game that can be tinkered with for more hardcore gamers. Download it for the art alone - the in app purchases are WAY more expensive than other games of this type (some cost $20 for one card and some boring upgrades!) so maybe the developers could think about not being so overtly greedy and a little more App Store friendly - c'mon, wine us and dine us before charging an arm and a leg, maybe some good sales or deals instead of $40 to build a good deck?!?)But still, a gorgeous game with tons of potential.

Beautiful graphics. This game is honestly awesome. The graphics are astounding, just looking at the screenshots was enough to make me want the game but actually playing, seeing the animation and everything else (being the cute story and smooth gameplay) is why I'm writing this review. The only negative thing about this game is the transition between battles and menu screens, if they faded instead of cutting to black I wouldn't think my phone is crashing every time. Other than that it's an awesome game!

Love the game, but it doesn't deserve 5 stars. I love this game to death, but it certainly doesn't deserve 5 stars. It has many balance issues, mainly because the epics+ are way too good. I know that the game devs need money, but the pay to win mechanics make this game almost unplayable if you don't spend at least 25 bucks a month. The mechanics are great, but I won't spend money on it for the sole reason that they are trying to make me. You should make the player love the game so much they want to spend money on the game, not make the player lose so much that they have to spend money on it.

Good for what it is. Sometimes you want a strategically deep card game where a single match takes 20 minutes. Sometimes you want a quick, simple, well-made game to play when you have a few minutes to spare. This game definitely fills the 2nd option, and does so very well. It's not so simple that your decisions don't matter, but it also doesn't make you invest a large chunk of time that may be completely wasted with a single wrong move.

Fun without having to pay. This is one of the best free card games on the store you will find. Sure you can buy gems and such to get more chances at cards or refresh your playing time meter, but if you don't then it's ok! Still playing and enjoying it. It has a simple cartoon style and gameplay but that works in its favor.

Really amazing game. I downloaded this game when it had no reviews and just seeing the pictures it looked like a lot of fun. I've been playing for maybe a week and I truly enjoy it. Im really like that you can have auto play and can skip the attacks to help speed up battle. I'd say the only thing is I haven't been able to get a lot of arcane dust but once I get more cards I don't need I can vaporize them for more. I also want to say that when I had some trouble and contacted customer support they were fast in response and were very helpful. Lots of fun, I recommend it for anyone who enjoys card games.

Superb!. The card art is spectacular and as you double fuse and quad fuse the cards it is fun to watch the art transform even more awesome. There is a multitude of races in the game : seafolk, goblin, elemental, dragon, angel, avian, and insect. Each month the game developers throw an event for one of these card types that gives you a bonus for the matching race cards in your deck and offers the opportunity to win more of them through battle. Bottom line . . . Get the game dude! It's awesome, strategic, fun!!

Fun at first. It's pretty awesome at first I admit, but as you progress the game becomes a slog, you either give up and purchase a paid card or spend weeks throwing away time in hopes that one standard set may give you the push you need. The concept of paid cards doesn't bother me much, it's the gap. I've seen paid cards with attack in the 12-17 mark while I'm in a lowly 9-10 if I'm lucky enough to draw good support cards and have them survive. As it is, the game is out of balance with a large gap between free accounts and regular goers.

Pay 2 Win. Spellstone has nice graphics and some fun card abilities like weaken enemy cards or armor buffs. There are a decent amount of heroes to choose from with a good amount of abilities for creating different decks. I really enjoyed this game until I found that it's a big cash grab since the arcane dust that you use to upgrade cards is so rare to come by. You can get a measly amount by destroying your cards or by upgrading a lot of cards which again requires the dust. It's pretty disappointing that they ruined the game with this. Freemium games are fine as long as there's a viable, non-absurd way to play for free. People are free to pay more to get ahead, by this game essentially requires you to sink money into it. I've sunk a lot of time into other games like clash or hearthstone and I don't mind paying when there seems to be value, but this one leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Extremely reminiscent of Tyrant Unleashed. Seems really interesting so far, but like the title says, I am getting a definite "Tyrant" vibe. Campaign setup is the same, as is the card upgrade feature - two of this make one of those, two of those make one of these. Seems like more factions and variation so far, but the spells or card abilities just seem to be renamed. Thing is, Tyrant Unleashed is a great CCG, so if this follows that formula, it will do great for the folks that prefer fantasy over sci-fi.

I would give it five stars but the whole point of card games for some of us is not just the strategy but the cool part of the characters that the card represents I find it very difficult to get engaged in the game when you can't even see the character that you're choosing on your card please fix this game besides that everything is good

Everything is great except.... Everything is done really well in this game except the cards themselves. There could be a tad more strategy but that's not my biggest complaint. There needs to be better ways to collect the dust to upgrade cards... And while Heathstone is stingy on the dust it also does not have an energy system. The energy system and lack of dust collide to make a negative experience. It's a shame because everything else is done perfectly.

Fun, but slightly imbalanced.. I used to play this game every day. In the beginning, it was smooth sailing and fun. I could be doing it wrong, but after leveling up and progressing, I’ve hit the point where I encounter a lot of defeats. If you’re being defeated even in story mode. Unfortunately, in order to get better cards and upgrade, you need to actually win. If you’re being defeated in story mode, then the only thing you can rely on are bounties and scout missions. At the moment, it takes a full day for my one scout mission to complete. Some of the rewards are not even worth the one day wait. That pretty much leaves bounties, which if you’re losing in story mode, you’re probably going to not win 100% of your bounties either. This means it may take weeks to upgrade a card a couple of times and then you still may only be slightly better off than before. One thing I have noticed is that if you’re willing to pay even a little bit of money, you can get extremely high level usable cards. While in-app purchases in almost every game is supposed to give you an edge, this seems quite excessive. It’s like being able to pay to get level 50 gear at level 1 in an MMO, that you can actually use.

Great game. This is a pretty decent game. It's free to play but like most free to play games it offers in app purchases. So far it doesn't seem to be pay to win but I am not more than a hour or so into it yet. This is a card based strategy game with cool artwork. It is a Kongregate game so I was a little apprehensive about it considering what they did with lil alchemist, but so far seems to be pretty fun. And like I said it's free to play so you have nothing to lose by trying it.

Ehhh... Beautiful looking game when it comes to the art style and seamlessly simple UI. I was also impressed with how quick and painless the tutorial was to get through while all at the same time learned everything I needed to know in less than a minute or two. The real issue is that right after the tutorial I experienced a huge amount of bugs and disconnection issues. Each time I restart the app myself there is just a new issue that arises and as it is right now it is not even close to being playable. Such a shame as I was really looking forward to playing but will now likely be uninstalling, at least for the time being!

Impressive. It's a great game overall. Sure, there are IAP, but unlike other games, they aren't as pressed upon you. It's not pay-to-win. This game is perfect if you're looking for a game to put a few hours into total by playing for a few minutes here and there. This is basically Hearthstone and Lil' Alchemist combined, if you've played those.

Great game love the mechanics and the buff events. I love this game and i think i have and idea that would make this game more enjoyable among guilds. I suggest a friendly battle option to allow players to test new decks and strategies and find out what is and isnt working. Second turn player would get that little castle card from the feather brawl to make up for having the other player move first. I think this live action can really improve the fun in the game.

Greedy but enjoyable.. I discourage future developers to publish games with this "energy" system. The whole point of the game is to target the young and more gullible audience to maximize profits. It ruins the feel of the game and I believe more people would spend more money on your game if prices were more reasonable and if you were less prompted to spend money. I'll make sure to persuade anyone to not spend a penny on this game including me, not that these reviews will ever change anything.

I have spent $0. Game is alright, but what people don't realize is low delay quick play pierce/empower cards like Gargantos, Heroic Frog, and Nimble leaper (all common set cards) are king. So are duelstrike 2 delay cards. Also elementals + elementalists are very powerful (2/5 the way to pure elemental deck). All you need to do is know how to gain an early advantage and know when to have a 4 delay card come out. I know it's pay 2 win, but I've beaten those players many times because of early game advantage. I am at T16 bounty and have over 2500 bounty wins, in the 25th best guild, so yes, it's pay to win, but you can still win without those cards.

Love it!. A great Idea for an addition to this game would be some kind of Player to player card shop. Where you can put your unwanted cards up for sale for a price of your choosing and where you can buy other peoples cards that are up for sale. This would be extremely helpful towards building a decent deck. I'm level 20 and bounty level 10 and my deck is barely decent after getting this far without spending money. It's virtually impossible to get a good amount of decent cards without shelling out loads of real cash for it. Not to mention the in app purchases are freaking ridiculously priced. I'll raise my star ranking of this review to the 5 stars this game deserves whenever in app purchases no longer taint the quality of the game.

Sigh. I have always been a fan on Kon games and I was loving this one for the first 30minutes that it actually worked. It then close the app on me during a battle. No big deal but now the app crashes half way through the loading bar to open the app. I have deleted re downloaded and started again same thing happened. Now I can't play the game due to it crashing on load up every time. Once this is fixe I am sure my rating will be a 5 star

Yes. Every day I get onto spellstone and play all day and by the time I'm ready to go to work it's been a week. I've lost all connection with my family and friends and I'm still happy. Spellstone has given me happiness and love I need to go outside but spellstone draws me back. Slowly as spellstone absorbs me I get more and more happy ,but throughout all this I've not beaten the first level

Never has a line been so distinct between p2w and f2p. Fun game, but you literally cannot obtain 95% of the cards without paying. There is a separate set of ever weaker cards for players who do not pay real money. As a "whale", I felt it necessary to divert anyone away who may be thinking their time would be enough, as it is in most of these types of games. This one is fun, but it takes greed to another level. Don't download unless you intend on spending a minimum of $300 USD, which will get you enough cards to get started.

Latest update broke game. I really like this game, it's a simple stupid fun kind of game. There is not a lot of strategy but that's ok. The fun of the game comes with unlocking and upgrading cards. People who say you need to pay to win are wrong, unlike other games with unlocks you actually always have a chance to get every card in the game. You can't expect to always get a legendary card when you buy a pack (that's why they are legendary) but knowing you could makes opening the card packs fun. Game just needs to be fixed since the latest update does not allow the game to start anymore.

Good Game Fun Try It. I've played lots of app games over the years and this is the first I've ever spent the five minutes to write a review. The game is similar to Kongragates Game Tyrant which I played for years. This game is more streamlined and "cute" to cater to a large demographic but the mechanics and cards powers are just as cut throat and competitive as the former, instead of alien infested mechs its flying squirrels and Treants, but it is fun.

Subpar CCG.... Between the fact that you have no real way to farm Dust, which is the only way to improve cards, past completing quests that are almost always accomplished by UPGRADING CARDS and that its really a "best card collection wins" game with no tactical or strategic purpose to placement, this one falls short of most other card games on the app store. A shame, because its funny and interesting. But its far too easy to get stuck with cards that leave you unable to win Bounties or Quests, making no progress and wondering how they thought this was a good idea.

Crashes at start up on 4s. I enjoyed this for the first hour. I checked it out after getting a coupon offer to play the game. It's fun and simple but now it crashes before I can even open the game. I am on a iPhone 4s so I know it's a older phone but this isn't exactly a demanding game, and it says the 4s is "supported" on the requirements, so it really should not be crashing every time I try to navigate through the menu. Its come to the point now where it crashes immediately after start up so what more can I give it than one star. It's a broken game as of right now. If they release a patch that makes the menus more stable then I might come back to it, but as for now I'd give this a pass if you are playing on a older phone.

We all know this recipe. You feed the whales, the whales eat the fish, until the fish are all gone. Then the bored whales leave too. Still this game gets burned more than it probably should being so new and hot on the press in my opinion. Reminiscent of Warstorm, a card game that clearly inspired this one, there's enough progress and some strategy to bear with the massive chasm between free to play, moderate spenders and huge spenders. I wish the agenda of the development team would take this game as more of an investment than a cash grab. It's a shame, this is certainly not a bad game. I'd give it a download. But don't expect to be dining with the important players until you've spent a few pay checks on shiny cards, and well, dust.

Not bad. Not bad. It fun and easy and doesn't require a lot of time. And it's not p2w, but spending cash does help. But as the game progresses it becomes a grinder or you decide to pay money for cards. I don't mind the grinding so much expect for the fact it is can be epically slow. They could balance it out by making it easier to get arcane dust and making the rewards for losing slightly higher. Also I wish there was a reset. edit: Been playing longer now and want to revise my review. I'm finding this game more and more enjoyable. It's not as much of a grinder as I thought it was. Also it interesting enough to keep you playing. Plus it's challenging but not to challenging. Would recommend.

Fun game with a pay wall. PSA - always look at the name of the person writing the review. If it’s xbffgyf then that’s a company that these devs can use to up their review score. If you see something like PAYme or Mola or Money in their name there’s a good chance they are getting something for writing that review or are the 1% that spends obscene amounts of cash to win games on their phones and are trolling you to download as they consider you easy targets. Always take reviews from both sides - the devs and the gamers. And always sift through the reviews and read the ones from gamers that actually play these games. So this game is fun and addictive which is a shame because of the tactics they use. When I first started playing I thought how could this game have been around 3 years and only have a handful of reviews because it’s awesome. The issues are that you need materials to upgrade your cards however there is no system to earn these Mats outside of some random stuff, there isn’t even a place to spend real money on these Mats which makes no sense at all (I would have blown some coin on it for sure). So your only choice is to spend money on new cards or their in game currency but that only buys you new cards as well. So eventually you hit the part of the game where the AI has all of these upgraded cards at their disposal and you don’t. I’m not sure what the pvp aspect is like but I’m sure it’s very lopsided with those that spend money vs those that don’t. This isn’t a traditional pay wall but in it essence that’s what it is. Which I really don’t mind but I’m not spending money on new cards I’d rather upgrade the ones I have. I would only recommend playing this game if your in it for the PVP and have access to a disposable income. There really is no way to earn the items to move along in the game.

Pretty Good Gameplay / Terrible Glitches & Support. I played Hearthstone for a few months and have played SuperCell’s card game for almost 3 years, although this is more comparable to Hearthstone. I like this one more than Hearthstone and as much as Clash Royale. The story is maybe slightly above average as storylines go. But the format of all game modes, with the lone exception of PvP, is stronger imo. If that were where my assessment ended I’d give it 4.5 stars. Unfortunately, that’s where the issues begin. The big problem with PvP is the matchmaking, which is terrible really; you can get matched up with people in virtually any league at any time. The glitches have been frequent, too. Recently the “Victory” screen freezes almost every time and you need to reset the app, in every game mode. Support is also terrible. Their only pro is their responsiveness, but even that is slower than SuperCell by around 300%. Certainly attributable to the difference in company size, but with all the issues, very noticeable. They also don’t seem very interested in actually communicating about issues, just filling in a template response. I’ve written them 5 times and one of my issues was that 47 shards (currency) went missing after I got 60 from a progression bonus. They’re response didn’t even make sense: said I spent 60 on a card pack, which I did, from a completely different bonus. You would think if it takes you 2 days to respond you would at least read the email thoroughly. Too much hassle. Bottom line is: too many issues to make it worth the hassle. Check back in a few months and maybe they’ll figure it out.

Finally, a fun game you don't have to pour money into.. This game is easy to play and very addictive. I was pleasantly surprised that you can actually be good without having to pay. I was really shocked when fusion wasn't some impossible feat. I'm really loving this game and would actually pay for the extra stuff because it's not forced on you. The new updates are amazing and I'm glad you guys are not letting the game die. This game is something I always come back to. Love the new cards.

Great Game. Easy to learn. Fun to play. Hope there is more depth later on though especially in regards to the story. Also would like to have more options during the card battles like being able to manually activate specific skills or abilities to add more strategy to the gameplay. Other than that the game is pretty simple but hits the spot. Almost a perfect match to what I was looking for at the time. Can't really ask for much more in a simple F2P card battle game.

Low strategy fun card game. Art is cartoony which I find fun. I hit some snags getting to a respectable mid level deck while playing for free. While the usual pay players will be tough the game balances decently with you playing against others with similar powered decks. Been playing about 6 months and just got first two legendary draws from random cards. Not sure if it was an update or me just leveling up. Game doesn't eat tons of time which is nice. Give it a shot
