Could use a few changes. This is a really convenient app. There's a ton of customizable things and there's even a graph to show you how your lifts have gone up over time. However, at the start of a new cycle, it adds weight to your maxes, when actually it's supposed to add weight to your TRAINING maxes. Big difference. The app still takes 90% so the numbers come out to the same, but it's not good to assume that the person has automatically increased their real maxes just because they completed a cycle. Also, on the workout page where you check off the lifts, the weights that you're supposed to push should be able to be edited. For example, I should be able to change 105 to 102.5 on the workout page without having to go to the plate section and put that I have 1.25 pound plates available. If these things were to change this app would be a solid 5 stars because everything else is on point.

Very useful. This app has been really helpful and has streamlined my training its not fancy but straight forward power training using the 5 3 1 system that works. Highly recommend it for strength training

Update has issues. I have been using this app for the last three months and I have really enjoyed it. It has always had its quirks which were workable. The new update has me wasting way more time screwing with it during my resting period than I should. The old version had the option for different rests for the main lifts and the assistance programs, now you have to adjust it after you have started a rest. This can be difficult during your main lift as the keyboard will pop up and make it so you can't select the ok button after selecting your rest period. Each set now is also not numbered. This may seem insignificant but when there are a large number of sets to do, more than 5 do not fit on the screen at once, it is helpful to know how many you have done and how many you have left to go at a glance. This app is still an amazing tool, which I use regularly, and I have no qualms about recommending it to anyone who is doing 5/3/1 or is interested in it.

Good app for 5/3/1. This app lets you log your workouts and track them too. There are many options for support exercises. It’s worth using if your on the move and can’t keep a handwritten training lot with you.

Regret purchasing. Accessory program is set to START at 50 pull-ups and 50 dips at the start. If I could do that, I would not be using an app.

Love it. I’m 16 and I recently quit football but still wanted to work out. I have a rack in my garage and this app is working great for me so far.

Email support. Great app, but would appreciate answering emails concerning support. Not sure if you still support the app but that would be nice to know.

Good app. Needs work.. Very convenient app for the basic 5/3/1 setups. Needs to add the ability to make more working sets based on the Forever book. Tracking conditioning goals would be cool too.

Abandoned. Was once a good app, but honestly after 5 years with no updates it should just get delisted.

Convenient app but there's room for improvement. I have been following Wendler's 5/3/1 training program for a few years w great success. I was happy to find that an app for tracking my 5/3/1 workouts came out because I was tired of having to transfer my workouts into and out of my Excel spreadsheet. Pretty lazy. This app is really convenient bc my phone is faster than my computer and I don't have to do any thinking. Bc this program automatically adds 5 or 10lbs to my training max each cycle, I am also not as tempted to increase these jumps as I was when I was using my spreadsheets. Another convenient feature of this app is that I can enter how many of each plate weight I have (10x45's, 2x35's, etc) and the program will take what I have available into consideration when calculating the weight I need for my main lifts. Therefore I avoid having to decide whether I should do 415 or 420 when my calculated lift is 417. And one last nice feature is that I don't have to put a lot of thought into designing my assistance lifts bc the program has a few staples from Wendler's book programmed already. As for critiques 1) the assistant lifts that are based off the main lift do not use the rounding to the nearest plate feature 2) I cannot enter what weight I used for an assistance lift 3) it would be even more convenient if I could choose a 2x per week routine that skips the deload week. Should be easy fixes if the designers want to update. Thanks!

Pretty Good App Version of 5/3/1. The UI is a little cumbersome, but that's compared to the elegant simplicity of something like Stronglifts. But 5/3/1 is a much better program and this app still has everything you need. The base program, the plate calculator, the rest timer and the custom accessory builder are all great. The built in accessories are nice too, but I feel they all run a little heavy. They are based off the main lifts, so one would assume it would work pretty well, but I found I had to tweak the percent values a bit or just build my own from scratch. Love that it has better notifications of the rest timer now too. Both a banner up top on the phone and even a notifiction on my Apple Watch too. Overall, definitey great if you plan on doing 5/3/1. Just spend a half an hour or so learning your way around it.

Great for the 5/3/1 program. This is a great app for 5/3/1, not just planning the next workout, but while you are working out (interactive checklist with rest intervals) and then after you work out (graphs so you can see your 1RM over time). Highly recommend if you are wanting to try 5/3/1.

Good could be better. Needs iPhone X support and more intuitive UI.

I’ll never know....won’t open. Loaded it a couple of times on two different devices, nada.

Developer has abandoned app. Don’t buy. For what this app costs it should have at least SOME assistance.

Big update but full of issues. I liked the app much better before the latest round of UI updates. Regressions abound: Hard to read the font when using the app in a gym, too small. The rest timer for main lift vs. assistance lift is all tied together, i.e. I want a 1 min rest on an assist and 2 min rest on a squat. Reset of 1RM in a cycle, dropped me way down in weight. On completing an exercise, press the rating, keyboard pops up and won't go away, covers the bottom of the screen and hard to get rid of without losing whole session. The loss in usability is pretty major in 4.x but has the right tools if they'd fix it.

Best way to track 5 3 1. I used paper Logs and spread sheets and this by far beats them all. Take all the guess work out and just worry about hitting your lifts! I love the upgrade version with the plate calculator which tells you which plates to load for your lifts... many times I've messed up the math and loaded the wrong plates. It Has graphs to show your progress. This is a great app for 531 and I'm glad I found it. I Would love to be able to change the order of the exercises on the main page but other than that this app is well done!

Great app........ but!!!!!. This is a great app. But it turns off music if you open it. It gets very aggravating to loss music while working out. Must fix and would get 5 star from me

Worked once. My first workout was saved. Added second one and seemed to save. Half way through the third workout everything except the first one disappeared.

Good stuff. I love this app

No apple health integration. Your workouts will not log for exercise through this app. Which is a current expectation for any exercise logger. Other than needing to manually track workouts, its a great app. Does what is needed and has decent supplemental exercises.

Thoughts. App calculates the increases each cycle incorrectly. No way to easily superset assistance work with either main lifts or supplementary lifts. Still no IPhone X support.....

Still no iphoneX support. Love the app but it’s really annoying not to have it updated already

Be warned. This app dose a good job at tracking ur workouts and progress but I got a new phone and a years worth of data was lost and all my purchases reached out too customer service and still haven’t heard a reply

Absolutely amazing!!!. Perfect simplicity!

Great App!!!!. This app replicates the Wendler 5/3/1 program perfectly. Takes the hassle out having to track everything yourself on a spreadsheet. The graphs also show your progress really clearly, which makes for a rewarding workout every day!

Battery hog. I used this app for four workouts and it was responsible for about 75% of my batter consumption during that time, despite using it for less than an hour each day. I don’t know what sort of processes are going on in the background, but be sure to manually shut down the app after the workout to save your battery until the devs figure it out. Otherwise, this is a decent app for calculating your lifts. As other reviewers mentioned, it adds to your 1RM instead of TM, but you can get around that by changing the settings so your TM is 100% of your 1RM instead of 90%.

Great app with a couple weird bugs.. I like this app, but ever since I got it, there has been really bad tire tread on my car when I drive to the gym, and my post-workout smoothies don’t taste as good. I normally wouldn’t think there is a connection, but the timing of the events lead me to believe it isn’t a coincidence. Hopefully these bugs will be fixed soon. Otherwise, a really good app!

Great 5-3-1 app!. I have done quite a bit of spreadsheet based 531 and it finally occurred to me that this would be perfectly encapsulated in an app. And this is the app! Does a great job tracking and efficiently leading you through a work out, never have to worry about forgetting my logbook or remaking a new spreadsheet. Buy the pro version without any qualms. Features that would be nice in a future version would be options to do the full body routine or a two day a week or three day week version. Great app, highly recommend

Exactly what I’d expect. Jim Wendler’s 5/3/1 program has truly been automated. This app allows you to customize almost every facet of the lifting program to keep the entire program automated while allowing for whatever variation fits your goals.

Essential for anyone serious about JW 5/3/1. Been using this app for about 30 weeks running the wendler 5/3/1 after doing strong lifts for 12 weeks (I was a complete beginner at the time). The app offers everything from Jims assistance variations, to graphs to see progress and a 1rm calculator to help you understand how to change your cycle max if you want to push it. The only thing I think that this app lacks is an option to export via csv which would help visualizing a little better in excel on a bigger screen. Highly recommended and worth the 10 bucks for sure!!

One cycle in, it's a pretty good app. Not without flaws.. The app does a good job with the primary lifts; however, the logic behind the assistance programs (especially the app's version of the classic Big and Boring/Big and Dumb assistance) is goofy. A common decision people make with the Big and Boring routine is doing bench accessory work on OHP day and squat accessory work on deadlift day and vice versa. And even though the app warns the user against doing deadlift accessory work on deadlift day, when it comes time to actually do the work, it doesn't give you any other option. If it's deadlift day and you pick squat assistance, it gives you deadlift assistance. If you choose bench assistance, it gives you deadlift assistance. No matter which assistance work you select, it gives you the assistance work assigned for the primary lift you have just completed. Consequently, if you're planning on alternating the main lift and dynamic effort assistance work, the app fails you on a pretty big chunk of your workout. And while you can change the routines themselves, you will end up having to do calculate the math all on your own, which is supposed to be one of the reasons you buy the app. This would be a nice thing to revise on future updates of the app. It's also worth considering doing the Boring but Big challenge, in which the assistance work increases from 50 to 60 to 70 percent of the working max over the course of three cycles.

Improvement. Also it would be nice if the warm up was split up into 3 check blocks so you can see the different weight

Love it!. The graphs over time is what made it for me! Seriously don’t know why more people use this.

More cycles and updates. Love the app, probably the best of its kind. Would love to see the option to have more cycles instead of one and with the new book, 531 Forever, would love to see the app updated with new versions of 531, Krypteia, 5 Pros Forever, Strength Circuits, etc.

It’s just busy. Big Lifts 2: super clean, simple, no frills. There’s just too many screens to navigate. Yes, it works— but ppl are dumb. Real dumb. Dumb it down for us.

Fantastic Wendler app. You no longer need to take a notebook to the gym. You don't have to write down all the weights you are doing for the day ahead of time. Makes the workout so simple, all I have to focus on is pushing the weight! The only way it could be better is if the app adjusted the cycle on the fly, according to the days you actually worked out. If you could only workout three days a week and didn't do two of the big four in one day you wouldn't feel behind or like you are sandbagging!

Great way to follow the 5/3/1 program. This app makes following the Jim Wendler 5/3/1 program very easy. You can follow all of the basic Wendler programs and customize your cycles. It has good conditioning options if you need an app for that too. I highly recommend you buy Jim’s books 5/3/1 and Beyond 5/3/1 if you are considering this program. Also, I had a technical question about the app. Emailed on a Sunday and received a response within an hour.

Steals data from clipboard! Dangerous!. This app steals data from your clipboard. When going in and out of the app, upon switching to the app it will silently paste whatever is in your clipboard: passwords, private information, etc. DO NOT USE THIS APP!

Excellent App for Powerlifting. I’ve had great luck with this. Started using it January 2018 and am still using it with no end in sight. It is May 2018 right now and I’ve added about 50 lbs to my bench press, about 80 lbs to my conventional deadlift, and about 100 lbs to my squat. Granted, I went from about 175 lbs-190 lbs while following the programming. This isn’t just a brand new to the gym, beginner program. It’s solid linear progression. 5/3/1 works and this app really streamlines it

Good but could be better. Good program but ap could be more user friendly and intuitive. Why not show weight totals on the workout screen?

Almost perfect. App is fantastic for tracking your lifts and assistance work. I previously did this in Excel which worked fine, but this is a lot more convenient and easily worth $10. If HealthKit support is ever added this app will be 5 stars.

Nice but missing major feature. Easy to use and simple but missing major common accessory programs (BBB).

Useful but has issues. It gets evicted from memory on ios13 too easily.

No longer loads. The app used to work but now only loads to a blank white screen. Developer website says to contact them through the support link in the app. Obviously can’t do that because the app won’t load.

Great guide, need more programs. Great app and will help navigate the Wendler Program. Needs more assistance programs, a little thin for $10

Automate growth. I love this simple app. I have been using it for the past couple years and I am able to consistently achieve new PRs with this system and the app takes care of all the mental work so I can focus on working hard in the gym.

Great without reservations. I hope the developer is not dead, and will finally come back with the updates! A few minor tweaks and additions would make this app to be Best in Class! But even without it- the app is great! You can modify the existing and create your own assistance programs! The graphs , the log, the navigation- everything is to my liking! Launches instantly, does not “eat” the battery! Great!

Not worth 9.99. Paid 9.99 to get assistance exercises and it’s not worth it. I have the wendler program and these assistance exercises are not consistent with the program.

Everything you need for 5/3/1...at a price.. A good, well thought out app for 5/3/1. Enter your 1 rep max and the app will lay out the program for you. However, it doesn't appear to follow the 5/3/1 programs we all know (Boring but big, trivium, etc) rather it allows you to pick clusters of exercises named things like "big muscle" or "big and dumb." The app will tell you how much weight to put on the bar while you're resting. It also has a built in timer. The interface is nice and simple, pretty straight forward. My only gripe is the price. Maybe it's because I've purchased so many fitness apps in the past, but $10 seems steep for the upgraded version. I sat on it for a few days and ultimately did it. Well worth it in my opinion, however I would've purchased it instantly for $5 and quicker for 7.

Simple and effective. Does what I need in the gym which is; 1. tell me what I need to lift; 2. Keep time during rest periods; and 3. Keep track of my progress and sets up the next cycle. True to the spirit of the 531 program. Only knock is not as easy to add assistance exercises.

A little flaky but ok. It's pretty comprehensive in terms of content but a little flaky on the user experience. I've used a few different apps in the gym and this one isn't the worst one every.

Feature request. I like the app and the program. My only request is to update the PR log if joker sets go higher than the highest entry.

Good value. Does what it says it'll do. The annoying calculations, keeps a record, gives you visible incentives to beat your previous 1rms. Customisable assistance programs. No complaints. Oh, also my squat 1rm has gone up 20kgs in the 5 months I've been using Wendler.

Fantastic & Easy To Use. A great app that makes the Wendler 531 a simple process with little to no input throughout so you can focus on the workout. Lots of great features like inbuilt calculator, graphs, assistance programs to customise and tailor your workout to your desired 531 preference. Vandersoft are constantly updating and modifying while prompting customers for suggestions. Great work guys! My only suggestion is to include a 2/3 day cycle option for people who don't have time for the 4 day cycle. Keep up the great work Vandersoft!

Good az bro. The extra workouts aren't required but fr following the wendler great

Good app. Great app but needs more of wendlers recommended assistance workouts like triumvirate etc

Very good but need help. The app is very good, easy to use and I love being able to track my progress through graphs. Have an issue at the moment, I have purchased the pro edition on my phone and then have updated to a new phone and it is asking me to pay 15$ for the pro edition again, wondering if its possible to re download the already purchased pro edition to my new phone.

Results. The program does in fact work to increase your strength

Could use some improvement.. The app does what it needs to do, however, usability is a little poor. Would love a different layout that’s a little more intuitive.

Easy. Motivating.. This app takes all the thinking out of planning your program and has rendered my expansive spreadsheet obsolete. Would recommend to anybody contemplating 5/3/1 training.

Too complicated. Not easy to use; set up 1mr now can't get "program"

Great App. Really handy to help track progressive overload, seen marked improvements in my bench press 🖖🏽

Best 5/3/1 app. Best 5/3/1 app out. Best feature is PR rep count before AMRAP sets gives crazy motivation

Good. A useful app for 5/3/1. Editing interface for assistance exercises could be simplified. I.e. Settings should include default rest time which has to be individually set for every exercise!

For 531, this is the one. Excellent, intuitive design, good customisation. The 1rm graph and lift log really helps with seeing progress. If you do 531, this is the best app for tracking. To the developer, one thing I would add: a preference to go automatically to the next workout, instead of having to click through from cycle - week - workout. Keep up the good work.

Great app but has issues. Great app but has minor issues like the plates it tells you to add each side is always wrong. It also.calls you a liar by immediately reducing your 1RM weights when added

Good app. Always great for tracking my progress when it's gains o clock

Great app. Does what I need, looks like a great program. Only issue is in the Rest Timer, when the phone shakes it always asks if I want to Undo Typing even though there's no text field there. Hope that gets resolved. Cheers!

Decent app. Works great

Great app. Amazing app. I love the variety in routines after my main lifts. Love that I put my 1rm in once and it does all the rest. A staple in my workout plan. Thanks!!

Great app. Good so far!!

Awesome. Every tool I need in the gym. It keeps track of everything for you, does all of the calculations, and saves me a bunch of time by cutting out the need for a logbook and spreadsheet.

Really good at tracking your training. Use this instead of a pen and paper. You can log your assistance program like BBB or Beach Body Challenge.

Good.. Plate calc is good. Assistance work is good. Rest timer is good. Customizability is good. App is good.

Works as advertised. Great!. Love it!

5 stars. Awesome app! Love the 1RM calculator. So handy. Hoping to make some great gains with this app.

Best app for 531. Please keep updating this app

What more do you need?. Basic and effective with lots of time under tension

The best.. I’ve tried a LOT and this is by far the best. Thanks.

Decent but.... Decent app but a little clunky in navigation especially if you don't follow the exact anticipated sequence

Confusing for Beginner. The UI needs work. Either integrate the plate calculator into the workout screen or vice versa, because switching between the two is an awful experience. Also the rep timer isn’t persistent across the app so you often won’t have a timer available before moving on to the next thing

Good Stuff. Great program, and even better app! Two thumbs way up!!!

Beats a spreadsheet!. Does just the right job of tracking 531. The paid version is worth it for the multi device sync and assistance work. Good assistance programs are built in or you can add your own.

Easy to use app. Great and easy to use. Plug and play. I like the fact you can set the cycle for a specific date to allow you to plan an overall cycle. The accessory work options are perfect and require very little guessing. It can get very mundane and repeatable but all you have to do is add in some eccentric options or slightly adapt the starting positions for pulls or add in a pause on the squats.

Great app!. This is a great app that follows Wendler's program exactly. It offers a lot of flexibility to program you one assistance work if you don't want to use the pre-loaded ones. The only thing I wish it had was a rest after the warm up so that it told you what plates to load on your barbell for the first set. Great app and will continue to use it to stay organized and on track with my training.

Gainz. This app is the best I have ever used. I like being able to trend data over time, and use the data tables. It is very user friendly an easy to use. The programs are set up in a way to maximise gains, as well as allow tendons and ligaments the time they need to adjust. I have been using this for 8 weeks, seen incredible gains, and I have avoided injury. Thanks Jim; you're awesome.

Excellent. Simple. You can customize everything beforehand with lots of options but when you work out, you just tap through and it does all the calculations, timing, even the plate counts for you! Good updates too.

The best of its kind.. Makes tracking very easy. There's no other app that goes this in-depth, it has everything you need to succeed and progress. The new UI is excellent, making it even more user friendly. The latest update really put the finishing touches on an already great app. Thanks guys!

Great app. Follows Wendlers program to a T! Calculates your whole workout, times your rests, and even gives you accessory lifts to do if you buy the app. Keeps track of your PRs and graphs them to show progress over time. It works great for me and very simple to use. Id say its the best 5/3/1 app out there. I am having issues with the pro app though. I bought the app last year and have used it for months but now it says that I need to purchase pro in order to use the accessories and other perks even though I bought it already. I would just repurchase but this app is one of the more expensive ones.

Easy to use. Easy to use and understand, even for someone new to this type of weight training. I like that it takes all the guesswork out of what to do. I just want to go to the gym, lift heavy stuff, and go home. With this I don't have to spend any time creating a program to follow.

Exceptional. Worth paying for.. 5/3/1 is an excellent workout program, and this app streamlines EVERYTHING. It calculates all of your workouts, and includes virtually all of the assistance programs. First set last, joker sets, this has them all. Download it. Buy it. Get stronger.

Good app. I like the app for tracking the 5/3/1 workouts and the accessory workouts as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I cannot figure out how to change the weight on the accessory workouts to the weights I'm actually using. If anyone can tell me how to change it I would give the app 5 stars.

Lost pro version. I had purchased the pro version for 10$. I accidentally deleted the app and when I re downloaded it I lost the pro version and it wants me to pay another 10$. Solid app just annoying I need to re pay

Awesome for wendler. Awesome app, keep the updates comming. Making fully customized wourkouts, aside from wendler 5/3/1, is an awesome added feature. You can customize your workout cycles to meet your 1rm %s.. Fully customizable accessory workouts... The best. Well worth the $10 purchase if your an avid weight lifter

Awesome app. I looked on the App Store for an app like this thinking there's no way I will find it and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a great app with everything I could ask for. The only thing stopping me from giving this app 5 stars is the pro version is $9.99 but if you are dedicated it's a small price to pay for an app of this caliber

Great app but.... Awesome app finally an app that tracks everything that wendler is trying to teach all of us. Before I was using excel and it would take forever. I do wish however that u could add more assistance routines and also could add a feature to track the assistance routines I sometimes forget off the top of my head how much weight I used from the week before. If those issues could be fixed this app would be legit perfect

It's fine. I'm still test driving it to see if I'll adopt it long term. It tracks the main lifts with no issues, keeps your records 1RM without changing your working 1RM. It would be nice to track assistance weights and it is a bit too pricey for the full version. If it would track other programs like SS and Texas Method, the price would be almost fair but still pricey.

Great app. I don't usually write app reviews, but this one was worth the time. Really well executed app that has been so far completely glitch free. Allows you to customize your cycle however you want down to percentage increases per cycle, rounding plates etc. Anything that makes it easier for me to workout and track is a no brainer. Pricey but you get what you pay for.

Free version is very good. I've been using the free version, and I'm planning to upgrade because I like it just that much. If you're interested in the 5/3/1 protocol, the app makes it much easier than paper logs or spreadsheets. My thanks to the developers! :)

Great tracker!. Favorite part of this app is tracking my calculated 1RMs off of my amraps. Gives me a solid idea for rep ranges I want to aim for with the next amrap. Tech support is great too. Feedback that day when i submit app improvement ideas or bug reports with timeline for implementation. Purchased the pro version in app. Worth the $ to support a good app.

Good 5/3/1 Log. Not a lot of fluff, just a good log. Doesn't say how much upgrade is (that I saw), but definitely worth the free portion. I think someone said it was $10, which is too much for me, I'd rather spend that on supplements or something and just calculate plates in my head. Devs did a good job, made the free part of the app the core part that you need, and the bells and whistles are for the money. Thanks for making this, it's good stuff.

Amazing app!!. I have been looking for a good Wendler program app for a long time now and finally I found it! It not only does the calculations for you (like every other app) but it also sets out the entire cycle for you, logs your lifts so you can see your progress and graphs them for you. This really is an all in one app. I haven't used the accessory workouts yet but it's another great option to have!

Straight forward, easy to use. I've implemented 5-3-1 as a strength program along side my daily crossfit regimen four days a week. I go to the gym about 30 minutes earlier, knock out the 5-3-1 for the day then jump into the crossfit class. I like having the core, compound lifts programmed consistently every week, and this app does it with ease!

Love this app. I love the app! It does everything I need it to do and more. Well worth the money and the app is constantly updated and supported. My Wishlist for this app is short: 1. Apple Watch support 2. Add ability to track and graph supplemental exercises.

This is perfect!. I used to use a spreadsheet on my phone and just found this app and it has all I need! Just about done with my first program using it. The calculations, bar weights calculator, assistance lift, rest utility, ... it's all so good! Great app, please continue developing, and yet keeping it simple as it currently is. :)

Great app but missing some things. So I have done one cycle so far (one month) and I love this app. Best strength app I've tried. I strongly recommend it. I've seen great gains in strength in one month alone. I just wish they would add a feature to update my 1RM outside of following the program. Incase we feel frisky and want to go for a PR besides sticking to the program.

Exactly what you need. Great app delivered exactly what I was looking for to stay away from the spreadsheet and keep track of my progress. Have it 4 stars only because I believe the assistance work is as important as the main lifts, so there should b a way to keep track of the progress for at least 1 assistance exercise per day. Maybe there is a way but o haven't figured it out yet.

Okay but update has issues. Tried to use submit button to contact for a problem about the app. The app does not open on the iPad. Also the submit does not work on the iPhone as well Maybe add more accessory or additions from the 5/3/1 book

Great and simple. I've had it for along time... I always come back to it, tracks everything for you and customize your own accessories that got up on there own when you complete your evolution. Thank you

Good App. Love the built in timer and auto plate calculation (on full version). Would be nice if it did this for warm up sets and first working set. Perhaps it could recommend the best combo of plates you'll need for all sets? A little confused on the assistance work. No explanation on how to score it. Total reps or just reps on last set like with main lifts? Does it track assistance work progression? Will it suggest higher reps or weight with time? If this was added I'd give this five stars

Great app for busy people. Very easy to use. Built-in timer keeps you on track with rest periods. Assistance workouts are great! Getting strength gains and well-rounded work out with out having to think about it. gets me in and out of the gym in an hour or less.

I love this app!. If you're looking for a simple app to track and plan your lifts and accessory work this is it. This app is awesome and completely customizable. My only complaint is the app does not differentiate from dumbbell work and barbell work. I highly recommend giving Wendler Log a try.

Great app!! ... Just one wish. This is an awesome app. Wendler programming is very effective when done correctly. This app makes the program that much easier to follow and stick to, as it does most of the brainy work for you (I do enough of that at my day job). My only wish is that it chose the appropriate Assistance Work for you as well (But not an issue to complain about just would be nice).

The best Wendler app. Period.. First of all uses correct percentages for Wendler's program, unlike many of the apps out there. Also has 90% and 100% weight options, plate rounding, ability to tell the app which plates you have available, the best tracking and graph presentations, and the ability to change and adjust 1 RPM calculations cycle to cycle manually. I've tried many of these apps. Overall this one is by far the best. That's all there is to say.

Works fairly well.. The only complaint I have is that the "upgrade to pro" button doesn't work, haha. Otherwise a great app. The timer is a bit obstructive on the screen though and it'd be nice if it automatically jumped to the background or became a banner.

For the Wendler Lover in you. Did 531 for almost a year, then got sick and tired of doing math (lazy, I know.) Well when I finally got tired of not making any gains, decided to get back to it. And to my jolly surprise, there's this app now. I will be purchasing the full app later, but for now the free version is amazing. No excuses. All your sets and reps are there. Done.

Needs to track assistance lifts. This could be a really great app if it could just do a few more small things. Tracking assistance lifts would be the most helpful feature. Also, it would be nice if I could change the layout to a different workout schedule. For instance, a 3 day schedule of Monday Bench, Wednesday DL/Press, and Friday Squat would be good. But Wendler lays out a number of options in his first book, and any/all of those could be added.

Great tool for the gym. A good workout log trumps any supplement, pre-workout, or lifting gear. This app is a simple tool for helping make long-term progress in the gym. The 1RM calculator is reliable, and the app keeps me from having to double-check my spreadsheet before every lifting session.

Best 5/3/1 app out there. I've been using this app for a few cycles now. It's simple, stable, and still has everything you need. All you need to do is enter your 1RM for the four lifts and it sets up and walks you through the program. Perfect app. Highly recommended.

Great app. This is a great app for training, I have been using it for three months and haven't had any problems. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because sometimes they have weight amount that I need to lift being like an off number that ends in 3 (Like 143). I have it in the settings to go by 5's but it doesn't seem to work like that with my phone. Especially low numbers as well (like 23 pounds). Would be cool if they could fix that, other than that, I definitely recommend the app!

Great app but needs more assistance workouts. Hello Love the app it is great for tracking my progress. I've noticed that reading Wendlers blog that there are more assistance workouts such as the Triumverate. Is it possible to incorporate more variety in the assistance lifts or suggestions for alternate lifts so when you do the Big Muscle assistance it's not the same workout ever week? Thanks and keep up the good work

Uninstalled first work out. So this "free" app will drop its "microtransaction" on you the first time you try to use it for real. Assistance work is a core piece of 5/3/1, it's not an extra, but if you want to use this app to get it in you have to pay for pro. It's basically completely worthless unless you pay for it. You want an app that makes money, and that's cool. It should be a paid app, not under free category. Putting it under free but gimping it so it's worthless makes this pretty deceitful.

Best option out there, but still not perfect. I tried three different Wendler strength apps and this is the one I decided to stick with. If I could manually change the weights on my sets it'd be a game changer. Or if I could just log accessory work without having to do a strength workout first. That'd be nice, too. Like I said, it's not perfect, but it's definitely the best one I've found so far.

5/3/1. I just started using it and after figuring most of it out I like it. I like how it calculates all the weight but when I tried to log my final score I used a different weight and wanted the score to reflect that as 12 @ 155 but the app wouldn't save it. That would be a nice feature. Other than that, so far so good!

Awesome app. Just gotta give a quick 5 stars, the free version is awesome! Does everything I need and saves me so much time trying to figure out my sets each week. I'm definitely going to upgrade soon for all the cool stuff that comes along with he premium version.

Pretty good. Works well with the base workouts and moving from week to week is good. On the other hand the absence of assistance work on the free version does require you to do a little leg work on that end, but that's not that hard and can be fun to decide from the different programs. These are easily found online. You will have to clear the app to do further cycles do write down your personal records to move on further work. Overall this is a good app for powerlifting.

Amazed by this app!!. Simply the best workout app I've used. Currently deployed to Afghanistan and this app is easy to use. Super user friendly. Easy to modify and track progress. Does all the math for you. To include plate breakdown so you don't need to do any math just throw weight on the bar!! Will continue to use indefinitely!

Fantastic product. I've been using this app for a long time but just recently picked up the premium version. Well worth the money. If you enjoy working in the 5/3/1, this is a must have to keep track of weights/lifts without carrying notebooks and such to the gym.

Room for Improvement. This is a good app, but there are a few things I would change. I'm new to this app so I'm not entirely sure if these features already exist. I would like the timer to buzz even when I'm currently looking at another app. I would like a bit more guidance on the accessory work (what weight to use?). I don't have 1/2lb or 1lb plates at the moment so I'd like the app to either round up or down.

Old Version worked, not this one. This new version constantly freezes. I've tried rebooting and the only solution I can find is uninstalling and reinstalling the app. That means everything gets deleted and I have to reenter old workouts. Then it freezes when I try to do the next workout in the cycle. It was a great app, it used to work really well for me. Fix the freezing issue and it's 5 stars, but right now it's not functional.

Solid. I've done the 5/3/1 program before but having it on my phone is so much easier. I like this app, just needs to look a little better. Maybe add some warm ups for the lifts your doing in each day. Like how to warm up the shoulders or legs like dynamic warm ups, foam rolls stuff like that. But other than that it's a great app.

Perfect app for Wendler Program. This app makes everything easy, from determining your weight to lift based off your max percentages, to telling you what plates to load up on the bar. I've been using it for over 2 years and haven't seen this much progress from any other program I've ever tried.

App has potential. This could be a good app but payment is required to use basic features like assistance lifts. After your main lift the app asks if you want to do assistance lifts. If you say yes you have to pay. If you say no it goes to the full screen ad. The ads are too annoying for me. I'm going to switch to a more basic app that just tells me what weights to use without ad popups.
