What is army prt - u.s. army apft calculator app? The Army PRT App is for the U.S. Army Soldier who needs a quick and easy solution to calculate the Physical Fitness Test and Body Composition Test (weigh in or tape test) scores.
The Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) has two events: the Body Composition Assessment (BCA) and the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
The APFT is a three-event physical performance test used to assess endurance. It is a simple way to measure your physical strengths, abilities, and cardio-respiratory fitness. The intent of the APFT is to provide a baseline assessment regardless of your Military Occupational Specialty. The APFT is to be taken at least twice a calendar year and you must be able to meet the minimum standards to be eligible for promotion, transfer, and to attend Army schools.
The three PFT events are two minutes of push ups, two minutes of sit ups, and a timed 2-mile run. Your results from each event are assigned a score. To pass you must Score 180 points or higher with at least 60 points in each event. Your age, gender and the amount of repetitions or time elapsed for each event determines your score. Unlike other military endurance tests, the APFT is normally performed in workout gear and running shoes.
The Body Composition Test ensures every soldier is healthy, physically fit, and combat ready. The program requires you to meet specific weight standards, which are based on their height, weight, and gender.
Within the The Body Composition Test you will be required to weigh in at least once every six months. This may be done at the same time as your Army Physical Fitness Test. In most cases, failure to pass the Army's minimum weight or body fat percentage standards will make you ineligible for promotion, transfer, reenlistment or opportunities to attend professional schools.
If you do not meet the initial height/weight requirements, the Army uses a calculation based on your abdominal and neck measurements to determine your body fat percentage.

April 2017 post APFT. Easy to use and like the option to save your scores and body composition records. Recommend they change the data entry to the numeric keyboard only.

Pro version didn’t save data. Apple store recently reset my phone, I restored my purchases and logged back into the app but all my previous data is gone and will not restore :( I bought it in case something like this happened :(

Great App!. This is a great app, I like how I can track my stats over time which is very nice. Some improvement ideas: Add a section for the APFT event briefs in case you are one of the ones administering the test events. Add a more in depth body fat section, so it can take the average of the three measurements taken on the app it's self. Over all great app! Hopefully those added features may come soon
Best APFT app. This is the app we've been waiting for, it's free and simple to use. Body fat and fitness standards are included, upgrade to Pro so you can track your test progress in graph form. Screw the other mandatory paid apps!

This app is great.. I don’t know if a better app for tracking my APFT and HT/WT scores. I find it easy to use. I can track and review my historical scores. Requested improvement: It would be great if they would add an additional field for other notes. For example, I would like to record the name of the person/unit who administered the test.
Great app. This app hits everything your looking for as a Soldier, NCO, or Officer.
Good App. Good app and great features. There should be a way to add multiple people and then update their scores and then email complete DA 705s for signing and printing. There are a few spelling and grammar issues but nothing serious. I would pay some coin to have it email me the DA 705s.
Keyy. It would be a lot better with a numerical keyboard to type the data instead of displaying a full keyboard. Also, add a button to tab to the next field instead of trying to navigate by scrolling down

I’m confused. I’m confused. Where is the PRT Section in the PRT app? I don’t see anything that is associated with the Army Physical Readiness Training. All I see is a calculator and fitness tracker.
Needs numeric keypad. Can't type your data in. Have to use a slider to scroll through the numbers. Can't have fat fingers. Also too many pages to navigate through. Needs to have simple entertainment function that displays pass/fail with your percentage and overage for body fat standards. Deleted.
