Great camera, app needs some improvements. Camera has been great and picture quality is the best compared to spypoint and stealthcam. Battery life has been really good as well. One camera has about 1600 pics and still have 3 of 4 bars for the battery. The app needs some work. Changing pictures to landscape has become habit for us but that feature is missing. Also can get the download gesture to work and have to send the pics to myself. Both are nice to have features so I am only dropping the rating 1 star. One other issue is you have to set all cameras to the same billing plan (ie unlimited). On spypoint i can pick what I want for each camera which is handy for cameras that don’t get as many pics. Otherwise the camera has been solid. Tactacam is new to the cell cam market and I am confident they will continue to enhance the app for a better user experience.

Easy and functional .. developer is very involved and listens to consumers for upgrades !. I downloaded this app after buying my first Tactacam Reveal camera as instructed to receive real time pictures from my camera . It was very easy to link the camera to the app and get signed up . Very straight forward and easy to use . Just about every setting available on the camera is able to be controlled from the comfort of home from tour phone with this app ! You can change the amount of pictures , quality of pictures ( on sd card ) and working times of the camera among a plethora of other settings ! You can even suspend your cell cam service and make it work as a regular trail camera after season so you don’t have to go retrieve it if you choose not to . The developer has been very involved in taking feedback from customers and implementing improvements to the app as well as software updates to the camera itself . Overall I would rank it among the tops with other cell cam apps . There are some very good updates in the works I am being told in the future ! Highly recommend the Reveal cameras paired with this Reveal app .. once again Tactacam knocks it outside of the park for the average and serious hunters !

Best cellular camera out there. This app is unmatched, it is super easy to use and is user friendly unlike 2 other cell cams I have which are hard to navigate and difficult to use. I have also not experienced any crashes with the app and have pictures uploaded at the same time every day. Has a camera gallery which I use to store pics from previous years making it easy to see how my deer have grown over the years. Camera takes awesome pics (day & nighttime).

Finally - But Still Needs Tweaking. Hallelujah we’ve finally gotten an update to this app for push notifications on iOS! “It’s been 84 years” Getting audible notifications is an invaluable tool for so many of us, and with these being some of the best cameras out there not having that feature was just mind boggling. There are still some bugs to work out - there is no badge on the app when a notification comes through, frustrating and annoying when things are on silent on your phone, so that needs to be addressed. And, another competitor can send previews/thumbnail photos with their notifications on the Lock Screen and the Apple Watch, that is a feature that would be incredible here. Especially since that competitor has a far inferior camera product. If I could take the app capabilities of that one, and the camera of this one, it would be the ultimate package!

So far it seems pretty decent. The app was not as intuitive as I would have liked, but otherwise it was very useful once I did figure it out. I had a greyed-out option for requesting a photo from the camera, which was greyed out because I didn’t have a good enough plan to have the option. I didn’t know and pushed the button trying to get a forced photo but reached and error message. Part of the error message offered for me to learn more about the higher level plan. I wanted to learn more about it but the app hung up. Tried again, same issue. The only way out of it was to close the app completely then reopen. This is the reason for only 4 stars instead of 5. I’ll update the review once I’ve used the camera, app, and service longer.

Excellent cell cam at good price. I’ve had trail cams since they first came out with actual film, probably from over 5 different makers. Been waiting to make move to cell for a few years and wanted to wait until someone came out with a reliable easy to use product at a good price. I believe the Tactacam fits the bill. I read dozens of reviews/articles and talked to a few current users before buying the GenX 2.0. One factor in their favor was a family member had a setup issue when she connected a 3rd camera to her plan. She called and actually spoke to an English speaking person who walked her through a solution. From opening the box to taking a test pic took about 30 minutes. Instructions are simple and easy to follow and I’m average with technology. If you use a smart phone it’s simple. The pics are great during day and night. My only concern is the rigid antenna. We have a lot of curious bears in Wisconsin and my cameras are frequently getting knocked around or even ripped off trees. My worry is they will break off antenna and will that ruin camera or will it break off where it screws into camera. Depending on a lot of factors the batteries won’t last as long non cell, but they have solar panel solutions. Make sure you use the correct SD card (doesn’t come with). When my cameras die I will be replacing them with Tactacam cell cameras.

Video Download Issues. I’m a new customer of the Reveal Tactacam service. My investment so far in equipment and services has not been a great customer experience. I’m repeatedly having issues remotely downloading videos from the camera and the customer support team seems to have given up trying to resolve the problem. After paying for the premium package, my expectation was based on Reveals explanation was that the process would be straightforward. However, it’s not a straightforward process to retrieve videos remotely. I get a couple of cryptic messages every time I attempt to download a video that contradicts the package I paid for. The punchline: My customer experience has been a “2 Star” at best. Basically the return on investment isn’t that great or worth the trouble trying get the hardware and software to reliably work as advertised! If I had the chance to do it again I would not buy into Tactacam Reveal! Unfortunately I paid for the annual subscription and the additional monthly download subscription which I will promptly cancel once I post this review. I give up!

Best cellular camera and app available!!. Tactacam has outdone themselves. Not only very consistently amazing in their customer service but this app is fantastic! Easy to use and share, my dad got excited about hunting again this year because of this camera/app keeping him excited knowing what was walking around(saved several young bucks lives seeing pictures on our phones instead of having to check a card). Thank you Tactacam for an easy to use and navigate app to help me in my scouting efforts! Things like this and your customer service will keep me a customer for life!!!

Lacking features. While the camera control is great, the management of photos is severely lacking. There seems to be no way to multi select and delete photos..a problem when you get 50 a day. The delete process is a painful one picture at a time and at least a 3 step process to delete, confirm then dismiss the message. Need a multi-select and delete all selected. Love the camera but not so much the app. Also curious as to why my photos are square and not a 16x9 format in the app. Is this a function of the app display or the camera. I would give this 5 stars if the app was up to speed with the camera.

Works great. They are great cams, they have a lot of different settings sadly they don't allow you to pause your camera, it would be a very helpful setting to have. Especially if you have certain animals that you are looking for and other animals are showing up and taking away from your monthly amount of photos, If you have the unlimited subscription this isn't an issue but for someone who only gets a set amount of photos a pause button would help manage the amount of photos you get. They do have a timing setting but that doesn't help when you need to pause here and there to let the ratcoons, or other animals you don't want photos of, eat. All in all I would recommend just have a few things I would add/change to make more user friendly.

The best for the money. I am retired military/law enforcement. My family and I live far from any public utilities and have a long gated road into our house. I used Tactacam Reveal for work with great success. So much so that when I retired, I purchased my own and now use them for security on our road and property and as game cameras. They are flawlessly dependable and take excellent quality images that allow reading of license plates. I had one issue that I contacted Reveal customer support for and they immediately got back to me by phone, although I had already fixed the issue. Short of it is …excellent product/great company.

Where to start…. I purchased the Tactacam Reveal X camera after my Snyper Cam quit broadcasting via 3G. I was very happy with that set up, and was hoping for something as good with this camera and app combo. My first big issue is with the quality of the pictures sent to my iPhone and computer. The photos are quite small and you must zoom in to try to see the subject in the picture. Unfortunately, the quality is quite often too low to tell what you are looking at (I have the camera set to the highest quality setting). There’s a cost associated with downloading HD photos through the app, and even those leave a bit to be desired. The second issue I have is the app error message stating that “this camera has no photos” and “this account has no cameras”. This happens on both my iPhone and computer. Even as this message is showing, I still get notifications that I have a new photo. Sometimes it corrects it self quickly; other times it takes quite a while to finally be able to view my photos. I love being able to use the app to change settings from anywhere with my iPhone and have them take affect immediately. Unfortunately the issues that I have are likely related to this app and in order to use the camera for remote viewing, I have to use this app. If this persists, I will not be buying additional Tactacam cameras and will change camera manufacturers for next hunting season. The camera seems to be top-notch, but is mostly useless to me because of the app😣

App pictures are terrible. I have yet to pull my SD card from the camera to see the quality of pictures to it. I was really pumped after seeing the 5 star ratings online compared to the other cellular cameras and the price for a cellular camera. I gave 2 stars because the price is good and the setup is simple. The reason I can’t give it any better is the poor quality pictures that comes to the app. I have to leave the camera on 8 MP just to have somewhat of a clear photo I can see from my phone. This is the main reason for wanting a cellular camera and to avoid entering the area every time to check the SD card. If the quality of the photo improves coming to the app to where I can actually set the camera to 24 MP I’d give it a 5 star until then this is where I have to leave it.

Reveal by tactacam. The reveal app and cameras have been hands down the best out of all the cellular cameras and apps I’ve used. The Reveal app is very easy to navigate. It’s simple to adjust all my setting of my camera right from me phone. And the picture quality and ease of navigation between photos is just simply the best. The app and cameras signal strength in areas my other cameras have has week to no signal is far superior than the competitors. Adding cameras or even additional cameras is a breeze as well.

Camera is fine, features need work. Camera is fine, but the app and associated features are disappointing. Latest July 2022 update is a failure. Step back in removing identifier of recent photos I’ve had Spypoint for past couple of years, and feel they have it down far better. However, their cameras aren’t quite as reliable. For Tactacam to improve, at a minimum, increase number of times to receive pictures to at least 6, preferably 12. More importantly, deliver pictures in batches rather than sending 50+ individual notifications when pictures are sent in the twice a day mode. Additionally, gallery view of photos would be nice, as well as ability to delete groups of photos, rather than having to delete individually. Also, why not show badge indicating number of new photos? Furthermore, how about species identification??

Managing a trail camera made easy!!. This app is amazing AND FREE!?!?! I have been hunting many years. Over those years never have I found a product that is not only affordable but goes above and beyond the expectations i never knew I had for a hunting product. The Tactacam Brand creates products that surpass all expectations you could think of having and from a fairly new company none the less! This App is among their amazing products and sets the industry standard for how an app should function. Allowing users multiple features and the ability to customize and change camera settings, view battery and storage levels, flip through your photos and choose your photo transmission plans that you can adjust to your liking and view photos right on your mobile device as you please or wait for a notification when your camera is triggered by motion.

Love these cameras. I received two XR cameras for my birthday in June. Along with the solar panels. I’ve owned many different brands of trail cameras. As a 64 year old women hunter I was excited to set them up without having to drive a half an hour to my hunting spot to check my cameras. I had no idea I would become addicted to picking up my phone 1st thing every morning to view my thousands of pictures. The photo quality Is great and the pictures of all wild life I’ve gotten to see has been fantastic. I love these cameras. They are affordable as a gift . Wish I could get a few more . Notifications and picture Scroll. The app doesn’t send me notifications when I get pictures (yes I changed the notifications through the app and in the settings). When I swipe down on my notifications screen they will be there. But no badge icon either so if I missed the notifications there’s isn’t anything on the app either. And then when I look at my pictures I can’t swipe left or right to look at the other pictures. I can only look at one at a time. That’s extremely annoying! Also the screen on the camera needs a delay test mode that has like a ten second countdown so you can close the camera and take a picture so you know where the camera is pointing.

Not working. I'm disappointed in this camera. The camera and the app do not communicate. Yes I have full strength signal, Yes I have full batteries but the camera just sits there. I can't wake it up to take a picture. I can't do anything with it. Try to reach out to support no response. They make it impossible to try to contact them, I would not recommend this camera. it's disappointing that they want to nickel and dime you on the plan. For $20 a month I have a piece of lawn furniture but if you want to spend $40 a month you can actually use the camera. Be honest with your customers and tell them if you want to use the camera and this is what it's gonna cost you.

Best on the Market!. I got the chance to purchase and run 4 Tactacam reveals this past deer season and I’m so glad I did! The app was easy to use and made sorting through the pictures and cams quick and efficient. I was able to score some great pics of my bowhunting target buck preseason and luckily was able to take him on opening bow day. The best feature is being able to adjust the settings and timer for each cam from the app. After having spy points for years, this was hands down more user friendly and efficient to use!

Best Cellular Cam App!. The Tactacam Reveal app allows me to see pictures from my Tactacam Reveal as they are taken. I love being notified instantly of action in my hunting spot! The app is incredibly easy to use and intuitive. I can name my cameras, change settings, activate/deactivate all with just a few touches. I can also keep tabs on my cameras battery status and cellular connection. My favorite feature is being able to create albums and organize all of my best photos for easy retrieval later - this way I can keep individual albums of all my bucks!!

Best Camera App yet. So I purchased several other cameras and ended up returning them due to the terrible app and not being able to download or get service. On my final attempt at having cameras on my land lease I bought 2 tactacam reveal xb and 1 tactacam reveal. All 3 have been awesome. App was super easy to download and the $5 per month fee per camera was all I was charged. It gives you 250 photos per month. You can see the photos for free but once you tap on them it counts towards the total. So I would screen shot the photos and go to my pictures to zoom in and see if it was something I wanted. At the end of the season I went on the app and selected cancel service and I wasn’t charged again. The also have an unlimited data option for $100 per year per camera. I’m not writing this review to help the Manufacturer I am writing to help the purchaser. Great product and great app !!

Reveal By Tactacam. I’ve used trail cameras for 15 years and 6 months ago I made the switch to cellular trail cams and I will never go back! I purchased 3 Tactacam Reveals, put them out, and I still haven’t had to physically go to the cameras! The Tactacam Reveal app organizes all of my cameras, makes it simple to add cameras, it’s packed with a lot of very usable features, it’s easy to use, and it allows me to receive photos instantly from my hunting locations to know if game is in the area. Getting the little notification on my phone that I have a picture, makes me feel like a kid on Christmas morning. If you enjoy running trail cameras, you need to check this system out!

My opinions for what they are worth. Really like the camera, it sends better photo quality than all of my spypoints. It has worked flawlessly the past several weeks. The reason I rated it 4 out of 5 stars is because I believe there are a few things in the app itself that would make it so much better. like being able to scroll picture to picture instead of having to go back and click the next picture, and also having the ability to do a selection/select all on deleting pictures rather than having to do each individual picture.

Love this Cam!!!. After 3 years of using the Reconyx Ultrafire, I heard about the Tactacam Reveal. I was interested because of the cell capabilities and the video function. I had several friends say it would rival the quality of my Reconyx and blow away my bushnells. I run around 20 cameras at a time and thought I would like to try the Reveal and see if it would be a good replacement for the lower quality bushnell cams. I was hoping for quality in between the two cams and was not expecting them to be as good as the Ultrafire. After two days of operation, I was very pleased to see the Reveal was about 90 % as good as the Ultrafire! Almost the same quality pics and video! I was like a little kid waiting to see what would pop up on my phone next! The $100 price, instead of the $600 price of the Ultrafire, makes this a no brainer, I will definitely be replacing several of my cams this season with these new cams and will be giving my best referrals to all of my friends and family! Thank you, Tactacam. Great quality product, just like all of your other cams!

App needs work, firmware also. The notification badge icon on the app doesn’t work and it is toggled to on in app settings and phone settings. The point of a cell cam is to not have to travel to the woods, not being able to view the 24mp pics on the app is a bummer. If I want to see good pictures I’d have to go and retrieve the SD card, the reason why all of us buy cell cams is so we don’t have to travel out into the woods and stink up the area. Also the camera settings in the app where it shows “camera status: last update, battery, signal, memory, temperature” all of it says unknown. If the camera had cell service it should be able to transfer that data to the app. GREAT camera and great features but there are some kinks that need to be worked out and improved upon as mentioned in this review. Can’t wait for a future update to remedy these issues.

Awesome Camera!. I had bought the Wildgame innovations new Insite camera and I could not get it to work at all. I returned it and purchased this camera after reading the reviews for the Tactacam Reveal Cellular Trail camera. My cell phone had 2 bars of service but my Camera had full bars 4G with the nice size antenna they use. I started receiving pictures within a few hours of placing the camera. Pictures were clear, and very nice! I am loving this camera, I am glad the developers are listening to suggestions on the app. I would like to see like a live view option, where we can tap into The camera and just see what’s there sometimes when I think there should be deer there in. It getting a hit. It would be nice to be able to live view it and see what’s sitting there. But great job on this camera, and keep up the good work. I have taken about 30 pictures and battery life is still at 100% on alkaline. You can beat this camera especially for the price if you are on the fence on this camera please take a look at this camera you won’t be disappointed! Thank you Tactacam for making an affordable very good quality trail camera.

Reveal x. The reveal x is a great buy! Inexpensive, good pic quality and the monthly fee is very reasonable. However, there are times when they are not sending pics to me. I have them set to immediately take pics and it’s a solid 3 to 5 seconds before you see the red lights flashing in between pics. The reveal app I give a 9 out of 10. It glitches on occasion but works well the vast majority of the time. The app is very close to Browning as far as being user friendly and the Browning cams cost twice as much. So far overall I would purchase again from Tactacam.

So close to 5 stars.. Thank you for fixing the notifications! It now chimes when I get a pic. That to me is huge. Now that last thing I want is to be able to turn my phone and get a landscape view of my pic. Seems so simple but it's not there. I have to zoom into a portrait view to enlarge. I'd like to just turn my phone sideways and have it automatically turn and I large my photo! This camera is so awesome. I use it every day. I'd just like to see my pics bigger just by turning the phone! Thanks for listening Tactacam!

Easiest trail camera app I have ever used!!!!!!!. I have had several trail cameras over the past years (yes dating back to film trail cameras) and I must say the Tactacam Reveal has been not only the best but the easiest to set up. Pairing my camera to this app was also easier than other I have had. With my experience with this app all the features from deleting multiple pictures at once to viewing each camera individually makes this a 5 star app. Also last thing I will say is the customer support is second to none if you have a recommendation for a change in the app let them know and you just might see it happen!

Much better then SPYPOINT. I bought a SPYPOINT camera a little over a week ago and had so many problems with connection, customer service, and operation. Took it back and got the tactacam reveal X with a couple of X pros. The difference between the SPYPOINT app and tactacam app is the reveal app will show you how to setup your camera and how you can improve your pictures and videos on the app. SPYPOINT was a pain to deal with from the activation to the actual setup, made a lot of frustration for something simple. Have yet to put the reveals in the field but just setting the cameras and the app up I’ve gotten multiple photos from the back yard of deer and other creatures that I will not be buying SPYPOINT paperweights again. Thanks to the people at tactacam for having such an amazing product. If you are looking for a products that has no issues or faults like SPYPOINT, the people at tactacam can definitely point you in the right direction.

Just get it. I have about 3 other different brands on my property, mainly to test them all out and see who does the best. With reveal I get instant pics, never any connection issues, better battery life and price point is cheaper. When I drive by a camera within 4 seconds my phone goes off. SPYPOINT takes 10 minutes and more expensive with worst quality and horrible battery life. Save yourself time and money

New to cell cams. I’m a newbie to the cell cam game. A couple of my friend was talking up the Tactacam Reveal 2.0 so I had to check them out. Looked up some reviews and seen very little negative talk about them, so I went and bought 2 of them. Got them set up on a Wednesday and put out in the field that following Saturday and the pictures started rolling in! Put them out Oct. 4th and by the 6th one had already stopped working! I started an email chain with customer service. Didn’t really get any where with that so I started looking on FB and found one of their tec guys there and he took charge and got me taken care of. Not really sure as to what was wrong with the new camera but they sent me a brand new one! I’ll still give customer service a 5 star review though. So far tho I love the cameras, pics come in clear and in a timely matter. You’ll hear some folks complain about the battery life of these cameras, so long as you have your setting set right they’ll last a good bit. However I feel like Tactacam could improve on this by a whole lot and it’ll be better on the customer cause we spend a small fortune getting these bought and started up.

App Update Request. First off, great product! Works as advertised. However, I do have a request/suggestion. When using the shared camera feature to view cameras from another reveal cam subscribers account, the labels used to identify each camera (by the cameras owner) aren’t visible to the other account holder and user utilizing the shared camera feature. I.E. - If I label camera A “home”, when I view that cameras pictures they are labeled “home” camera. However, when my hunting partner views that same “home” camera on his shared camera feed its now labeled “#1”. Is it possible to change this issue in the app via an update? That would greatly improve its functionality and definitely encourage us “and I’m sure more people” to purchase and share more reveal cameras. Thanks!

Affordable, reliable and a game changer!. I’ve been using trail cameras for several years. With the advent of cellular cameras I have tried several other companies cameras, and while they function as designed. However, I found myself often discouraged at poor battery life, unreliable function, and sub par customer support. I purchased my first of five REVEAL cameras in June 2020. I could not be more pleased with the ease of set up, the quality of the photographs and the intuitive functioning of this app. Using the Tactacam Reveal app and the easy instructions activation of my cameras was a snap. I was able to get up and running in five minutes it took me longer to install the batteries and SD card! As a new camera on the market you would expect that there would be some trials and bugs. But every single camera that I have has worked flawlessly. If I had any questions Tactacam customer service was always there to assist me with anything that I might encounter. They continue to make improvements routinely upgrade the application in listen to customers feedback for improvements in future versions. The only problem that I see with this app and Camera system is there will be point in time with my wife finds out how many I have! I would highly recommend the Tactacam Reveal and this accompanying app when you venture out into the woods for your trail camera needs.

Amazing images and app. I have used cameras for years, and had many years of setting them up hoping to get the right shot,height location and so on. Then waiting months to check! With the ease of use with the tactacam and app I can check my photos location immediately after setting up and start getting pictures instantly! It’s like Christmas morning every time I see the pending photos icon on my phone! From deer hunting to turkeys and even coyotes it has been amazing. Will be getting more no doubt! Ease of use and price can not be beat!!!

Reveal by Tactacam. I’ve own a lot of cellular game cameras and there has always been something missing. Either the app interface with the camera etc... Then I tried Tactacam and it’s everything I’ve been wanting . I really like the way you can manage your plan and change it at any time. I also enjoy how I can monitor, update, change settings to my camera with the app all in the palm of my hand while my camera is in the field. The Reveal was extremely easy to set up and to even add another camera. If you are an avid outdoorsman and you rely heavily on game cameras to monitor or scout particular animals, the Reveal is a must have . I will not use another camera, not saying other cameras aren’t good but I’m saying the interface between the Reveal and the Reveal app is undefeated in my book:

Latest update isn’t great. Shoot or Pass? Really guys? Get rid of sharing other peoples deer for some novel idea. Makes me want to switch to Stealth immediately. Also, why can’t we get notifications on shared cameras when new pictures come in from shared cams. Makes zero sense. This feature should be standard when you’re paying a monthly subscription. You should be able turn shared camera notifications on and off. I pay more on my game cams than I do my cell phone bill, yet I can’t know when my buddies 10 point is daylighting??? Really?

Tactacam Reveal.. I really enjoy my Reveal XP. I’ve had it for almost two years. It has taken thousands of photos for me. As with any trail cam there’s a small learning curve to understand how to set it up. But their customer service was awesome. If there’s anything I’d like to see it would be for the camera to have a small telephoto lense that would make the subject of the photo closer. My photos taken from 15 feet away appear as though they’re 25-30 feet or more. Not the actual distance. I’ll be buying another soon. Very good cameras

Customer service. I called and spoke with Ciera today, the wait was less than 10 seconds and when she answered she was very professional and extremely helpful! I am very impressed so far! I own 6 Tactacam cameras on bows and guns and have been very pleased thus far, I also own 11 SPYPOINT cameras in which I have not been pleased with, their customer service is horrible. I have started using your trail cams now and as far as I can tell I will be purchasing more!! Thank you Ciera for the help and your kindness!! I am sure Tactacam is pleased to know you are in their corner!!

Garbage!!. What good is a camera that never converts your pics to video… then a 40minute minimum wait to get someone on the phone from customer service…you end having to text on FB messenger.. then come all the excuses that you’re doing wrong .. wrong SD card… weak Signal.. but even when all of these are fixed… now it’s “We’re having APP issues”. Biggest bucks I’ve had all caught on camera and none of them converted to video.. if i wanted just pictures there’s plenty of less expensive cameras with no subscription… but instead i pay hard earned money for their subscription yet they don’t do what you’re paying for them to do.. if this keeps up I will make my own video with their camera and some tanerite… stand by…

App needs work!. i’ll update the rating if the app starts getting updated. badges should be a simple addition. Banners are a PITA esp when working on something or trying to open a banner from another app when this banner suddenly pops up. A select all deleted function is also great. Sure it’s not needed and it really does nothing but I like to delete all of the photos daily and when they are hitting corn or minerals a lot it’s impossible to keep up with deleting. It’s ashamed a GREAT camera has such a poor app. I’d pay twice as much for the camera if the app was more practical! The only thing Spartan and spypoint does better is the app. I hate to pay 400$ for a camera for the woods but after owning reconyx trail cams i’m spoiled to the best so imo get the app functionality up and tactacam will own the trail cam business. until then they are just blah.

Great app with one major flaw.. Everything about the camera and the app working pretty good. Except the deleting and saving of photos. Inevitably you always get a number of photos that are of no interest, but it is way too monotonous to to try to delete the ones u don’t want and keep the ones you do. And then it is way too easy to permanently delete the ones you want to keep. I almost get tired of using app because of the method that is used to delete photos that u don’t want. If I select all then I will lose the photos I want to keep. Has to be a better way???

4 Tactacam Cell Cameras. I purchased for Tatacam, pro cameras. I have been using them on my hunting property. I bought the solar panels with them as well. Everything has been working fine. The set up was easy. The only complaint I have is the base level picture quality. I don’t think you should have to upgrade to get HD pictures and video. I have two other cameras that do not charge for the HD video and HD pictures unlimited. That would be the best thing to take to camp could do to keep business is allow for HD pictures on the base level price of $13 a month for camera. other than that, I really liked the cameras and they were doing well.

App NOT Ergonomic. This app is problematic. It's just plain CLUNKY. From the user's perspective, and when it takes a lot of management, an app for a set of cameras is nearly as important as to the user experience as the actual technology which the camera owners deploy in the field. This app gives me the feel that: -- the Company has backed off from investing. Maybe they're coming out with new camera tech, but this app is LONG overdue for an overhaul. -- The app feels outsourced, outdated and out moded. It is super difficult to move around. I wind up closing windows because it's not clear what I need to do to back up and move around... funcions are siloed in odd places. It is NON-intuitive. -- There are times a user might choose or purchase an option which means you're going to wait 24 hours for that to be responsive... which is not... responsive. Taciticam has a huge open door here. If someone made a reasonable line of cameras systems and really gave the App genuine love and investment -- Tacticam would go the way of Blockbuster Video.

App lacks functionality, badges don’t work at all!. App not user friendly with Apple products, can’t swipe to delete and once deleted the messages you have to close or stays on screen too long. You have to select one pic at a time or all of them to delete, you can’t drag to select multiple. You can’t select a days worth or week or month to delete. Thumbnail size when small you can’t see the badge or animal tag so you have to view in the big size thumbnail. Maybe just a small tag to realize that it’s tagged with a animal type. The time, date, camera name cover part of the pic when it’s on the pic itself, would prefer the option to turn that off. Badges don’t work to tell you how many new pics on the app button. Battery always says 100% if not using AA batteries, even if the solar battery or 12v is dead doesn’t go down this is a huge drawback because it’s dead and you think it will still send pics. I switched to Tactacam from Spypoint (6 cams) and starting to regret my decision. Another loss from spypoint bucks were tagged by the app I didn’t have to do it myself. Grant it, it wasn’t always right but 90% time it tagged the bucks I didn’t have to sift through all the pics on 6 cameras.

Great camera!!!!. Love the cameras and by far better pics than my other cell cams. The new update makes viewing pics so much easier. Tactacam has done a wonderful job. Rated 4 of 5 for one reason and one only, would love to see the App with the ability to send pics at set times. For instance every picture taken, once a day,or even up to 3-4 times a day. Just help me sleep instead of waking up all night for every transmission. These cameras are addicting to us fanatics and can’t help myself but to check. Can’t wait to have 20!

Best trail camera app on the market. I will say I was blown away with the functionality of this app. It has so many features that makes it in my opinion the best trail camera app on the market. You can change all the settings on your trail camera from the comfort of your living room. View the crystal clear pictures. Personally, my favorite feature is the ability to add photos to albums to keep track of that buck throughout the season and even throughout its lifetime with one click.

1st cell cam. The reveal is the 1st cell cam I have ever owned. I bought one that was a bit cheaper and I took it back the next day. I bought this one because I have the Tactacam bone collector stabilizer camera. I had trouble with it in the beginning and they took care of me in end. I have absolutely no regrets with this reveal. I get great pics on a plan that is cheap enough for me to afford. I can barely afford to keep my mother in law alive as it is, so their minimum price range really does save a life. If I could afford it I’d buy many more of these without a second thought.

New cam. From spy point to this so far so good

You don’t get back to me. 5 cameras I’m running of yours and I asked 4 emails asking why my camera picture numbers aren’t right ? Shows 40 pics on one camera and you zero it and doesn’t erase it .

Great camera, app is pretty good.. A few more features added to the app I’d love to see: 1)View all pictures in the burst. Not just 2nd pic. 2)Compressed video if you chose to record that. 3)Ability to snap live photos/videos from app. 4)Higher res photos sent to app. A few of the above updates would bring the app to 5 star. Camera itself is good, nothing to wish for. Maybe a better paint job on the unit to help blend in to the tree to avoid human detection. I did it myself with some painters tape and spray paint. Tech support is top notch. Responds the next day to my inquiry’s.

Tactacam Reveals. I’m approaching 60 years old. I’ve tried other cell cameras, that were more expensive, unreliable, technically challenging and temperamental. For the last 3 years I’ve used cell cameras from Tactacam. They’ve operated flawlessly, save, a little fogginess after a heavy rain.

Works excellent. My wife helped me set up. It didn’t take 30 min. Excellent prices on the plans. Can’t wait to try it out in the field. So far excellent product and software!

Great but would love to see more. I currently have the unlimited plan and I feel like I should receive all the photos and not just the 2nd photo at this price point. I only receive a few photos a day so the 250 photos a month plan would work for me and I intend to subscribe to that plan next month. I’m would keep the unlimited plan if I was given some additional features. Video would be great but I understand their could be limitations of the device. Features I would love to see -All photos sent to App in burst mode -Video sent to App -Ability to remotely take a photo or some type of test function to ensure the camera is functioning as intended. -Currently no notification sounds when notification is received.

Basic app that works. Cell service with the Tactacam reveal is good the picture quality is amazing, especially directly off the sd card. The cameras one weakness is it can be a bit slow on trigger speed. Night time range is good.

8 Reveal-x cameras. Living here in southern Ontario, we are faced with an abundance of weather. Everything from high heat to low freezing temperatures. And everything in between. These cameras outperform anything else that I’ve ever owned. They continue to perform at the highest level with the correct accessories. I look forward to purchasing more for the upcoming seasons.

No Audible alerts on iOS. Does not make an audible alert when picture is received. Only a banner pops up. Also, only sends second picture of burst. Would like if it sent all.

Service. Not sure but give that lady a raise.Great attitude very helpful.Wish all poeple were like her.

Notification. Definitely need a notification sent to your phone when the camera takes a pic!!

Needs some work. No sound or little red badge on app when pictures come in , not option to command camera to take a picture if wanted.

Good cameras and app. I have three X Pro cameras with solar panels and they work great. The app is good, but I have a few suggestions. 1) Add a setting to allow Canadians to display metric for the postal-code-based weather data in the app (Celsius, km/h, etc.) 2) Adding to a gallery takes a lot of taps and the confirmation message covers some of the buttons for too long. It would be nice to be able to long press and get a list of galleries, and/or be able to select multiple thumbnails to add a batch to a gallery. 3) The new tags feature looks cool but why can’t we create custom tags. The listed tags are very hunting oriented, but that’s not how I use the cameras. And finally, in the age of AI I find it surprising that the app and or website do not yet do automatic animal identification. It would be cool to get a notification like “Your camera has seen a grizzly bear”. UPDATE: Latest version improved the “Add To Gallery” function. Long press a thumbnail, select multiple thumbnails, select multiple galleries. Hooray! Still would like better localization for the postal-code based weather display. UPDATE: Just recently tried the “Request HD Photo” feature. It worked okay, though one camera just never uploaded the HD version, even after multiple requests and check-ins.

Badges on IOS do not work.. Camera seems to work as intended. App needs some work. The badges on a iOS device does not work. If you miss the notification should show a number on your app to let you know you have pictures to review. The option for selecting HD pictures should be able to select right from the picture not have to go out of the gallery and go into camera settings and pictures and then select HD. Should have option to turn your phone sideways to make the picture bigger but does not work. For. 16mp camera pictures not very clear especially a small picture that you have to zoom in on to see what is in the picture and clarity gets worse when zoom in.

The Reveal App 5 Stars. I’ve had several other brands of cellular cameras. The Reveal app is by far the easiest to use. It’s very simple to setup a new device, adjust settings from the app, view or save photos, and to easily manage your cameras. Notifications for low battery and SD card usage are on point. Creating albums are simple as well as managing your plan right from the App!! 5 Stars to Tactacam for a great camera and app!!

Awesome camera. I bought one on a recommendation from one of my hunting friends who said they’re the best after only two weeks I bought two more. Great tool for me to be able to see what my herd looks like and who made it through the season. Also great for getting tons of wildlife pics. Would highly recommend !

Needs work. I decided to try a reveal camera after using Spypoint. I must say that Tactacams app is no where as easy and functional as Spypoint’s. So far the tactacam app keep glitching for me. I’ve had several pictures come through that are not in chronological order. Everyday when I open the app if freezes and I have to open it a second time. The app does function but in my opinion needs a lot of work. I love the camera but unless tactacam puts some major work into their app and software I will be switching to another brand.

The pictures are very good and camera sends pictures to phone very clear customer service is also very good and the best thing about the x pro it has gps tracking even when the camera is off gps is still on it also has a password that you have to input on the camera to get in it the reason I like all that is people keep stealing my cameras great work Tactacam

Greatest Camera. Although the contact with customer service is horrendous! The camera and instructions to operation are great! Love the quality of the pics. The immediate access to settings and camera modes are perfect. The size of the camera and ruggedness are unmatched this far in my experience with trail cams. I have not had a bad rain so, I can’t comment on the total weather proofing side of things as of yet. Continue with the tacticam features and generations of cameras.

Best Cellular Trail Cam and App on the market. After trying numerous other brands and constantly being disappointed in quality and functionality, I finally found the one that works great! I’ve now switched all my cams to Tactacam. The Tactacam Reveal App is awesome and near instant delivery of pics. The HD download function is quick and works great. We will have far better game management and security on our ranch now as a result.

Need instant photo option. I have moderate strength even with the extended range antenna in Texas hill country and live 8 hours from the location the camera seems to send photos whenever it so chooses regardless of signal strength. There needs to be an in app option to force a photo to take and send to your cell phone instantly. Also they are set to timely but the photos are sent at random sometimes not for days even though I know there is activity.

Just too Easy. I just bought a Tactacam Reveal X Pro and the setup was a breeze. From downloading the app setting up my cellular account and getting the camera setup and going. It all took maybe 15 minutes. After the first 24 hour run everything is working as good or better than I expected. The cam is set at about 70 feet from the feeder and doesn’t miss a thing.

Pictures. I do like the new ability to delete pictures, but would like to see a select all feature for each day. Also it would be nice to scroll through the pictures with a swipe and not have to exit out of each pic to view the next one. This will be the best cell camera in the market once the app is up to par with the spypoint app.

So disappointed. We bought three reveal cell cams and two out of the three have never sent pictures. These cameras were placed in areas where we have always seen deer. The only camera that has sent pictures have horrible quality and never take any videos. When the app tells you that you have pictures they never show on the home page and you have to work around the app to find them. Recently when I go to view my photos the app crashes. So extremely disappointed with these and definitely will not be repurchasing anymore.

Great camera, average app. Cameras work great, seem to be reliable and take clear pictures. Cameras themselves are a great value. The cell service plan through tactacam is overpriced for what you get. The app needs a couple things, you should be able to view videos through the app. The whole point is not having to go into the woods to pull SD cards and thats what you have to do for videos, weird. Another thing is all photos should be seen in the highest available resolution. Making you pay for HD photos is ridiculous.

Cellular camera that actually works in the field. Tried SPYPOINT and Wildgame cellular cameras prior to buying Tactacam Reveal. I could use my cell phone next to the tree the SPYPOINT and Wildgame cameras were in but the cameras would not transmit pictures. These cameras would work fine in the city but not in the woods. The Tactacam Reveal works awesome and transmits photos in areas with weak signals. I do like the SPYPOINT app better but would rather have a camera that transmits photos.

Best Camera, app needs some work. Best cameras, support, and service out there. It is just simple issues that need addressed or i would have given a 5 star. (I will edit my review once it is fixed) My issues are “expected experiences” that cell camera apps should all have.. 1: change the name of the camera and ALL photos move to the new name, even if you moved the camera. What if I want history of past spots? (I name my cameras by the location they were in) 2: request an HD photo and it shows current time that the server sent the photo to my phone, not the actual capture time of the deer. 3: tags… please allow bulk tagging. Opening every picture to tag the large amounts of bucks we have is monotonous. (Not complaining about the bucks) 4: Add the camera name to the black bar at the bottom of the photo next to the name like EVERY other competitor. Love the app otherwise.

Can’t get any easier!. This app and camera combo has been the greatest thing that has come into my life! Compared to other trail camera apps this is the simplest ever! I have 3 cameras up and couldn’t be any happier. I had a regular camera stolen a year back. If I had this app and camera set would have been perfect. Wouldn’t have missed a thing. From deer to coyotes I can see all in the woods with instant notifications. If I could give ten stars I would!!!

Tacticam So Far. I’ve been enjoying my new Tacticam systems. Other than the occasional glitch with accessing images, the overall quality and software are very good. I love getting the push notifications from my phone when something new pops up. I feel the Tacticam systems gave me an advantage when I landed the 14 pointer I have been tracking for a few years. Overall, I am very happy with the product and recommend to anyone upgrading from SD card cameras to cellular. Regards, Pete

Quality!. Won’t brand bash but I started using cellular cameras a couple years ago and almost gave them up due to issues and aggravation from bad quality and poor customer service. I switched to Tactacam reveal X and had ZERO issues all year long and tons of photos that were good quality as well. Can’t rate customer service because I haven’t had to call them for anything yet but I heard they were good also.

No Better trail camera for any amount!!. Tactacam cameras are absolutely the best trail cameras on the market today! I’m currently running 14 of them on our property and have had zero issues for 2 years. I’ve had many different brands over the years but nothing comes close to the quality of these cameras. Trigger speed, picture quality, reliability, ease of set up, it’s all there!

3 hour update. Already have on my spot first day of messing with camera, buy the sd card off Walmart online store 32 gig, U3, class 10. Works perfect and already sending me pictures, test camera out on instant delay to send to phone at your house and then when you know it works, put on daily when you get back home from setting camera up. 👍

Happy!. I have 2 Tactacam cameras , one in use so far… it’s been working great…. I love watching all the deer, yotes & fishers all year long ! The camera tells you temp & time of action… I do wish some of the pictures were a little more clear.. battery’s life is still 100% and camera has been in the woods almost a year… ever ready lithium on all my cameras

The pictures are awesome if it went to been for Travis I would not have had it set up the way it is. Camera works great. App needs work. The camera has been great with better signal strength than my iPhone. Viewing and deleting pictures on the app could be drastically improved. Like others stated. Please update so we can swipe through pics quickly and also select a bunch of pics to delete all at once. Thanks!

X pro. The setup tutorial video was not the same camera but I got it done. Camera works great. I would highly recommend it so far! Unlimited plan for $10 a month with yearly subscription. I see on my computer how to delete multiple selected photos but can you delete multiple selected pictures from the phone app?

Ap issue. The trailcams work very well for this first season for me using them. But the oddest thing about the ap is that every time I go to look at new photos on my IPad and iPhone ,even after just a few hours, I’ve got to delete the ap and then reload it but at least can still use my same password. It remembers my account. I’ve got three other wireless systems and None of those require this inconvenience

Trail cam issues. I’ve seen several options on cell cams, also see certain brands have issues that would seem to be a simple fix but yet, those company’s customer service is terrible. I HAVE NOT had any issues with my cell cams and I’m over 300 miles away. Let alone in another state. Hands down the best cam out on the market. I also run 5-8 cams at even given time.

I like it, but I have a suggestion.. I like how the app is laid out and works well. The process to add a camera is smooth. Verizon activation seems slow, but they cannot change that. My suggestion is that the app is updated to allow a count of new photos to show up on the icon badge. The other notifications act as I would expect, but an icon badge count would be appreciated. Best Trail Cam I’ve ever bought. I’ve been using trail cameras for roughly 10-15 years. I’ve tried most brands and there’s usually some sort of issue I find with them. Tactacam knocked it out of the park. I will continue to keep buying their products. The image quality is high and the video quality is high. Only recommendation I have is to check if you get better service with ATT or Verizon wherever you plan on using it.

The easiest app and best company you ask they deliver. This app is the most reliable and consistent app I have ever used. The ease of use and simple set up and navigation truly sets the app part from the rest. Tactacam is customer focus and listen to all ideas and suggestions for changes and add on to their already great app. They deliver time and time again with very useful updates. Just making the app even easier for all walks of life to use.

Excellent App / Awesome Camera !. The Reveal Cellular Trail Camera is a budget friendly, high quality camera that reliably delivers photos instantly to your smart phone, computer or tablet. The Reveal App is feature rich, easy to use and is the best on the market! Camera setup is easily accessed through the app, additionally ALL settings can be changed and saved remotely, and did I mention the unbelievable battery life?!! This App and camera will not disappoint!

Great camera perfect price point. This is my first cellular camera and I am absolutely impressed with it for the price. There are a few flaws tho but for 99 Bux what the heck why not. You should be able to scroll through photos instead of backing out each time (annoying). Also the antenna is weak at the joint. A bear cub recently broke it off but it still works surprisingly. All in all I’m very happy with it. Sure beats walking to a remote location to pull an SD card

Don’t even hesitate…. Best camera, best website, easiest set up…all of my camera nightmares are over. Thank you people for creating the best full platform ever. Love my 10 Tactacams. I’m hunting 24-7 for 4 months. The deer still beat me though! Can you invent a machine that hypnotizes them for me? Frankly I can’t think of any other improvements. These things are awesome.

Best camera I have used so far. I have tested multiple non-cellular and cellular cameras. This has the best settings and user interface. Picture quality is really good as well. I wish the unlimited annual plan, per camera, was lower. Or they had an option like Cuddelink does. But don’t we all wish things were cheaper.. Overall, great product.

Love it. I love everything about this app except one thing. Sometimes the app will not work right and I have to shut my phone down and restart it. I have no problem with any other app except this one. I like the lay out of this app. My camera takes sharp clear pictures and are sent to my phone immediately. I can deal with the little glitch about restarting. I still give 5 stars! Tactacam is my new go to camera now!!

Awesome. This is a great camera and the app is continuously being updated by Tactacam which is a great feature. I can’t wait for the iPhone notification tone to be added. It would be nice to have better quality photos sent to my phone rather than the thumbnail but I also realize that this would use up more battery at the same time. I have pictures of a buck I didn’t even know existed as well as numerous Bear that I did not know lived on my property A+

Best Cell Option Out There. Very reliable and economical. I started 3 cameras flawlessly, no issues. Then I helped my uncle start up 2 for him, we had a problem and his issue didn’t get resolved for 3 weeks after. Customer service needs work but they gave him a little credit and I think they were overloaded with issues from the supply chain / Covid / labor issues. I’d buy another one…

Great camera. I think the camera works flawlessly with great pictures. The app needs a little work and it would be 5 stars, I would change the app where you can scroll through the pictures instead of having to back out and go to another one and I would fix it to where you can select all to delete or pick and choose which ones.

Tactacam Reveal SK. Camera works great and has some great features App is alright but not as good as SPYPOINT. Camera is pretty simple to set up. Wish it came with a usb-c cable to charge the lithium tray when it gets down and you have to take it back to your truck. Customer service is alright but they need to speed up the response time. Best cellular camera I’ve purchased so far. I would definitely buy another.

Animal Rescue. This camera is the best! Used to have to sit and watch live traps so an animal would not hurt themselves staying in a trap too long, or drive back & forth checking the trap. Now, when an animal goes in, the picture goes right to my phone, and I go & get it. Saves hours of my time!!! Also, I live in a rural area. The camera shows what animals go through my yard, so I don’t walk out & meet a bear or wolf!

Happy Customer. I have always used StealthCam cameras and love them. The one thing I love about the Tactacam Camera is the lithium battery pack you can by to slide in the battery compartment to take the place of the required 12AA batteries needed to operate the camera. The only thing I wish the camera would do is send videos like the Stealth Camera do. Other than that the setup and pictures are amazingly great. I have nothing bad to say about them.

Reliable Cell Camera. Finally a cell camera that consistently works. I never have a doubt this camera is working at all times. Other brands I’d sometimes wonder if they would pick up movement or send pictures timely at all. Apps user friendly and you don’t need to update your cameras constantly. Awesome battery life too. I have 8 of these cameras and I’m sure I’ll get more.

Switched from covert wireless. I switched from being with covert wireless since 2014 to buying 3 tactacam x cameras and 3 tactacam SK cameras and I’ve had zero problems even though I paid half as much as the coverts cost. The app still needs a little work to be on par with covert as you can’t turn on notifications to just one camera, it’s either all 6 or none at all and that is frustrating. Fix this issue and I’ll have complaints 👍

How about this?. Your cameras a great. App is great. How about when the camera is set to upload once or twice a day, you have a green line appear between uploads so you know when to stop so you are not looking at old pics? I have to click and zoom in on the date or time to see If it is new or old. Nobody else has that. Why not be the first?

Best for the buck !. I have had various trails cams so better than others but Tactacam delivers great quality and most importantly reliably ! My other cams miss shots and angles get . These cams also have not given me any server issues after a year which keeps me alway from going back to fix them as i do evey other week woth my other cameras .. will be purchasing more !

In The Woods. I am so happy with my camera and the pictures it takes are amazing and I am able to share them daily with friends and family! I already have family members asking how to get one just like mine. They want to feel like they are in the Woods with the animals from the chair they are sitting and inside the house! No comparison. This app lays the others to rest when it comes to ease of operation and navigation. The setup of new cameras couldn’t be easier. Updating preferences and settings is a breeze. Viewing the images as well as scrolling through them is very smooth! The app has regular updates behind the scenes. From the camera to the operation and flow of this app, Tactacam has knocked this out of the park. Couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this team.

Nice Camera. The latest updates have really made a big difference. It would be nice to have a feature that would allow you to schedule when you want to receive photos. I don’t mind getting notified when something is there but no need to have a notification for every picture. Other than that very happy with the camera and the app.

Love my camera, but.. I like everything about the camera. Battery life is excellent and night photos are good. BUT the app needs to have a favorites gallery you can put select photos in so you don’t have to scroll through 2000 photos to show a picture to a buddy. The HD gallery is to much $$ and really doesn’t help picture quality.

Mike d. Tried about every brand out there. Had so few issues with the reveal cameras I won’t buy anything different. Price point is good, good service in the areas I’m using them in. Reliable and customer service has been good when I did have an issue with my reveal x pro. Been in the tree for two years. Buy one! It gets the job done!

Finally a camera that works. After dealing with spypoint cameras for 3 years of complete failures I decided to make a change. I could not be any happier with the reveal pro. I put the camera on the property with the worst cell reception and it works great. Great quality pictures just wish it would get pictures of bigger bucks but that’s not on the camera.

Question. You need to get the programmers on getting the cameras where you can select the check in picture time . It can’t be that hard because it has a set time right now they should be able to put in program a line where that time can be changed just like changing the sensitivity ?
