Too Complicated. Have 6 steps after logging in just to see shared camera photos, can’t y’all do better than that?

Extremely Useful. We use these cams at our hunting property. Placed high in trees, these are super effective at both capturing wildlife and deterring trespassers. Instant alerts in my phone allows me to capture photos, record realtime videos and if necessary, to alert the Sheriffs department. Helps us protect our ATVs and tractors from theft as well.

Defend set up. Just follow the steps and it’s easy to set up. I added the hd photo option and it is worth the extra charge. The photos are excellent!

Not what it is advertised. This will take forever to setup and you will never give anyone the same information over and over. And every corner they hit you up for more money before you can get to the next level. Never will I buy this brand again. And Will return the 2 I bought.

Recommend!. Easy setup and have had no problems sending pics. If it takes a lot of pics it uses up batteries pretty quick so I recommend buying the solar power package.

My experience. I appreciate having cellular security cameras as it gives me redundancy in my security. The app does what it needs to, I have not had any issues and found it be easy to use. Would reccomend it…

Impressed. I was skeptical about paying $200 for this Camera but besides the time lapse of a couple of seconds, it works really well-I have this at my property.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I purchased the lactacam Defend 360 Cellular Security Camera to monitor a remote property, and it has been extremely disappointing. The pan/rotation feature does not work reliably. The camera is supposed to rotate back and forth to monitor the surrounding area, but it frequently gets stuck and stops moving. The only way to correct it is to physically go to the camera and manually turn it. For a camera designed for remote monitoring, that completely defeats the purpose. The video functionality is also very frustrating. Even when you request a video through the app, it often takes a long time to receive it if it comes through at all. On top of that, there are limits on how many videos you can request, even if you are paying for the premium subscription. For a security camera, this makes the feature far less useful than advertised. Another downside is that the camera does not support two-way audio, meaning you cannot speak through the camera to someone on your property. Many much cheaper cameras offer this feature, so it's surprising that this one does not. The zoom quality is poor as well. When you zoom in, the image quickly becomes very pixelated, making it difficult to clearly identify anything in the frame. Considering the price of the camera and the additional monthly subscription required to use many of the features, I expected a much better product. Between the unreliable rotation, delayed or unavailable video requests, lack of two-way audio, and poor zoom clarity, this camera simply does not perform as advertised. Overall, I would not recommend this camera. There are better and more reliable options available for the price.

Camera system. Best camera system solar power that I’ve ever owned. I’ve had it for three weeks and have not charged the battery since installing everything at one time.

Installation. Screws are junk & the holes should be larger for adequate wood screws. Otherwise a 5 star on install.

Exceptional. I needed this product for my construction site. I first tried Vosker and had constant issues I returned them all and pursued 2 Defend by Tactacam and could not be happier

Need to add option!. Overall the app seems good! If I could add one thing, it would be the option to block out certain pixels areas of the screen where you don’t want it to catch motion. Example you have it pointing to an entrance but there’s a rd off in the distance that you don’t want it to catch motion every time a car comes by, just when they pull in the entrance. Being geared towards a “security camera” than this option should be available like most other security cameras. Thanks!

Issues. 1) have to request a video and then wait for it to download to the gallery. I want it to just video the movement automatically. 2) I can’t zoom while watching a video. 3) I can’t record while live viewing 4) My gallery keeps disappearing and randomly comes back when it wants I guess

Watching. Love this setup! I am using it to monitor my entrance to my driveway. I get to see who is coming or going. I can also change directions if the camera lens remotely so if I see something I need to checkout I can rotate 360!

One Dislike. I have used Tactacam Reveal cameras for over a year now and absolutely love them. I decided to try out the Defend camera and the only complaint I have is I can’t stand the all white background in the App. It’s very hard on your eyes especially at night. I would rather see something more similar to the Reveal App. Thank you Tactacam for outstanding products, but please think about changing the all white background.

Piece of junk. This was a total waste of money. The app crashes all the time. The other times it’s just “sorry there’s an issue retry.” Sorry is right. Sorry I wasted money on this hunk of junk.

Great product. I have 3 different camera models and 2 with solar panels. I'm very pleased with their solution and support after the sale !

Off grid Homestead Monitoring. I looked at every option in these cameras are the best for us. They stay. Fully charged up with the solar panels. The photos and videos are pretty clear and the Tech interphase isn’t too bad. I’ve had a couple of problems, but at the end of the day, what’s the best about this company in my opinion is how well their customer service provides support. The last three people I have spoken with were amazing including one just two days ago, though I can’t remember her name. I would definitely buy these again and they are going to be used as our auxiliary units after we get our hardwire underground cameras, put up around our 60 acre property.

Takes good photos, but…. The camera takes good photos, but it doesn’t store them and only allows a certain number of photos. I won’t buy another one for this reason. Also, the camera doesn’t notify me when a photo has been taken. The purpose of a security camera is to notify you when the camera is triggered.

Simple and clean. I’ve been using the Defend application for a while, starting with one camera and now using five to monitor my large property. It works great for my driveway without requiring Wi-Fi. The app is simple, clean, and user-friendly. The cameras are robust, easy to set up, and have reliable cellular service. They’re highly sensitive to movement, with adjustable settings, though the default is effective. Compared to other products on the market, this has been a clear winner for me.

Missing critical features for a security camera. Didn’t have critical notifications that would override Focus (do not disturb or sleep). Vehicle, person animal detection should be built into the software on the device so they can be used to filter out noise

Activity zones. Need to have activity zones so the camera does not pick up background movement

Works great. I’ve been using it for a few months and it’s been great. I’ve been able to adjust the settings so that the battery lasts longer and I don’t have to change the batteries so often. Camera quality is wonderful!

A+. This camera has given me the eyes I have needed at my rental property! I see IT ALL now!!

Great off grid security option. I use the cameras where I don’t get any cell service. They pick up everything if aimed correctly. Worth the price for the piece of mind

Defend Camera. No strap is included with camera. Attaching the camera to the mount can be difficult once the mount is set. App had gliches- the option to set working hours was not originally present but corrected by contacting the best customer service staff . The staff were patient and determined to correct the shortfall. Pictures were as advertised at the price point.

Pretty Solid. My only 2 complaints are if it’s windy it’ll drive you nuts and the delay due to being a cell cam. Sometimes the delay may be only a minute or two then other times it might be 10-15 minutes. Pics are very clear

Home Security. Great camera and really like the cell signal feature since I don’t have WiFi. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there is no zoom adjustment and the field of view is fairly narrow (as opposed to a Ring camera which is better suited for tighter spaces like porches, carports and garages) and it doesn’t pick up both of my entire vehicles, only about half of each one. Also, the badge app does not display a numbered count when I get an alert. That would be very helpful so I could glance at my phone and see them rather than relying on sounds or banners. Otherwise, I would recommend this camera provided your surveiled area is not too small.

Maybe good for a trail cam. $15 a month to have less features than a Chinese 4G camera that costs half as much. The Ubox cam is way better. This pos is literally just an overpriced trail cam that swivels (barely).
