Tactacam. This app is AWESOME and allows you to control your Tactacam straight from your phone! The WiFi works great, and the camera will connect directly to your app in the field, allowing you to stream live and review footage on the spot. Their customer service is also TOP NOTCH, which makes it that much better. I would give this app 10 stars if I could! Tactacam makes the best camera/app in the industry. Hands down!

Awesome companion App for the tactacam !. I’ve had no issues with WiFi function . It’s very useful especially if your using head mount to make sure you have it pointed in the right direction ! Let’s you preview your POV’s .

Next level! When it comes to filming. The tactacam app offers a sweet option that you can start and stop recording from your phone, which is awesome I like to set my camera at my turkey decoys as an example with gives me cool close ups of kill shots. It also lets me show my friends my film right from my phone. AAA++++ from me and highly recommended

So easy to use. Tactacam trail cams came out last year, I had three in the woods and the ability to control settings, review photos and adjust the quality and amount of photos is as simple as selecting and saving. Not only monitoring for game but also those folks who like to “wander” past posted areas. Great app to compliment the camera !!

Easy as pie, even for an old guy!!!. This app is very user friendly, even for an old guy with minimal tech skills. From taking videos using the 4.0 and the 5.0 wide, to direct download to phone, then transfer to a laptop. Simply awesome!!. This app, paired with my Tactacam 4.0, make an amazing combination. I always use a head mount, so this app is VITAL to getting that camera lined up before the shot. Otherwise, it’s just a guess. I have another cam on my bow with the stabilizer mount, but the head mount gives me another cool angle. Awesome app, amazing camera. Getcha one!

5.0, 5.0 Wide and Remote...WOW. Have been a tactacam customer for over a year and filmed numerous hunts already. When I heard the 5.0/5.0wide and remote were coming out, I had to jump all over it. Since receiving all three of these, all I can say is it will be a “game changer” when it comes to self filming. App. App is amazing and easy to use and the features of running your camera from your phone is a bonus specially if you are calling and someone else is shooting.

Awesome addition to my Tactacam 4.0. I love having the option to change settings and use my phone as a screen to see how my Tactacam is set up. The app also allows me to view and upload my videos straight to my phone. This works awesome for sharing my videos with my family and friends. I definitely recommend using this app with your Tactacam 4.0 and 5.0.

Problems with the update. Won’t connect via WiFi, so the camera won’t connect to the app. I was able to connect to the camera with my phone from 2009 but not from my iPhone 11 for some reason. The app itself has very limited functionality and no options whatsoever. Seems like it needs a complete redesign. Nice concept, but terrible customer service and troubleshooting help.

Tactacam is the way to go for a hunter!. Setting up your camera in a fixed position on a tree with this app is the way to go! Or if you want to review your shot for the buck of a lifetime that you just released an arrow on just moments ago, the Tactacam app is the way to go! For a hunter, designed by a hunter! Share. Connection problems 4.0. Using the app with an IPhone is incredibly frustrating. Constantly crashing and failing to connect to camera. The wifi connection is on and connected to the IP address, but the app will not connect camera or fails when trying to watch videos or delete them. It is disappointing for the price you pay that this feature is unreliable. Update is needed to address these issues.

Freaking awesome app. I love the new update. Has Facebook live options and all for the 5.0. Best dang camera and app combo ever created. I’d highly recommend this to anyone who’s wanting to do some filming. It’s to easy and way to good not to share.

Works flawless for me!. I’ve had Tactacams for some time now and ever since they released the technology that you could view your camera with an app I was super pumped. At first it had some glitches but that’s with any app when you first start out. Ever since it works amazing for me! Even with my new 5.0s! I can’t wait to get some footage with them this fall!

Game changer. The ability to link your Tactacam camera to your phone through this app is an absolute game changer. I’m sure we’ve all shot a deer and wasn’t sure how good the shot was and got out of the tree just to look for blood and jumped the wounded deer and never found it. I was in that position last year but right after the shot I was able to link to my phone and watch the video to see my shot placement. This no doubt saved me from jumping a wounded deer and losing it.

Simple, Intuitive, game changer. The app is outstanding for getting that second camera angle when it is out of reach or you are unable to reach for the camera in a hunting situation. It is also great to check alignment of your fixed angle on a first person shot off a bow or gun. Very simple to use, easily downloads clips directly to your phone as well.

Needs update!. The app is pretty outdated. Doesn’t fit your phone screen, and it freezes a lot. Does the job with being able to see what your camera sees, but it usually takes me a couple tries with closing the app and re opening it. Could get pretty annoying while hunting. Love the camera, the app needs some improvements and updates. Thanks

Great option!. The app is another great option for the new 4.0 camera! As soon as you turn on the WiFi on your camera it will sync up to your phone then you can run your camera by using your phone. You can also review footage by using the app as well!

Easy to use and awesome to view footage on the spot. The app was super easy to use, right from the moment I opened it and connected my camera I was ready to go. My favorite feature is getting to look at your footage in the field instead of waiting until you get to a computer. I also love the ability to turn the camera on through the app, it makes things much easier if I’m self filming of the cameras in a location difficult for me to reach!

Tactacam. Wow .....I have 2 models, the 4.0 and 4.0 wide....these cams are so easy to use in the field or tree! Love the fact I can view....start....stop filming from my phone using this app. It also allows you to check to make sure you are getting the footage before the shot. Great addition. I love the ability of using the Tactacam app when I’m using my 4.0 camera . Not many people know all the features in that app . I recently used the time lapse feature on some food plot work I did and it turned out fantastic . Also, during turkey season I shot a bird and used the still photo option to take my picture because I didn’t have anyone to help. I would recommend the app to anyone who has the 4.0 camera. Great products .

Tactacam App review. The Tactacam app is awesome when using it with your cameras. To be able to see what the camera is seeing and change the settings right from the phone is beneficial many times in the outdoors. It works great on the 4.0‘s but is amazing with the new 5.0’s for making adjustments to all the settings and being able to adjust the zoom on the camera.

Great app increases options of the device. I like that I can control my camera and can view and replay with the app from my Tactacam cameras (4.0, 5.0 and 5.0 Wide). It also allows me to download to my smartphone and send videos to my friends. I can also update preferences on the device from the app (date and time format for example). Yesterday I recorded slow motion arrow shots and full speed 4K shots. I was able to view them immediately on the app. Seeing the view through the app before the action is awesome as well.

Great app for a great Camera!. This app makes using your tactacam solo, 4.0, and 5.0 models simple while out in the field away from a computer. You can manage zoom and modes, start/stop recording, and manage and review footage!

Only Camera I Use. Tactacam is the only camera’s I run when hunting. I like the fact I can go back and watch my shot on my phone before I jump down and head Home to watch it on my tv. I can also export it and upload it from the tree so my family and friends can see it before I get home! Amazing easy to use app.

Simplistic!!!. Hold one button on the camera to turn on the WiFi, hook up to it with your hand held device, open the app and select your camera and BOOM you are staring at what your camera sees. They could not have made using a point and shoot video camera and app easier for a person to film their own hunts!!

Perfect. This app combined with the 4.0 or 5.0 is perfect for the outdoorsman/woman. It’s super easy to use and allows you instant playback. I have used it for over a year now with no problems. I highly recommend it.

No value added. After playing around with the controls for hours. I finally gave up. Not user friendly that’s for sure. Never could get the camera to connect to my network. So needless to say, I could never even see a live picture on my phone. Where I hunt there is no wireless network. Having a smartphone on a tripod will get the same results. I’ll be taking this back tomorrow!

App and camera control on point. This app when used with the 4.0 and 4.0 wide is outstanding. Being able to control your camera and switch functions with ease. Also the ability to take pictures and watch your recordings live is great! Highly recommend.

Great feature. What a great feature! Allows you to review your footage a field! Also with the app and the 5.0 you can zoom in and out up to 8X zoom and customize how much zoom you want or need! Jay P.

Works well. Using the app allows you to make sure you are actually going to record what you want when you press record! Nothing worse than finding out after you shoot a nice buck or did an interview and the camera was pointing at your arm or over your head haha.

A must for in the Field. Synchronizing to camera is so easy compared to the competition. Allows you to make sure your objective is in view before using the cameras simple one touch on/off.

Must have!. I use this app every time in the field. It’s so important to have when getting set up. It ensures you get the perfect camera angle for the big moment. It is also a great tool to use after that big moment. To be able to instantly go back and review what had just taken place is so important. It allows you to come up with a plan to retrieve your trophy. Nothing more hart breaking than assuming you made the perfect shot and taking right after your trophy only to bump him out of his bed and lose him for ever. It’s a must have to team up with your camera!

Control... as much or little as you want!. Like your wife controls you, now you can control the worlds best camera, the only true video camera made specifically for hunters, by hunters! Now we all love Tactacam first and foremost for the quality, but always a close 2nd is the ease of one button push to turn it on and start recording in the heat of the moment. There are also tons of times when you want more control, like viewing your camera feed live on your phone, checking your camera angle while in the woods and BEFORE that buck of a lifetime walks under your stand, or maybe rotating your camera orientation so that you can mount your Tactacam upside below your shotgun barrel to reach the button easier. Whatever you want to do, this wonderful App gives you that control, as much or as little as you want. Amazing products, by amazing people, allowing me to share my hunts with family and friends. Refuses to work. iOS 15. Useless app. Keeps saying no internet connection with phone on top of cam, 4 feet from cam or yards away while phone is enjoying great connectivity to everything else in the world. No help available except for the same generic instructions on their site. Will not show live or any vids/photos. The fish-I app is inoperable as well. Return the cam, buy a go pro and forget this useless company

Great App. I use this app in conjunction with the new 5.0. Easy to use, supports multiple cameras and I can store some of my favorite photos and videos. It doesn’t get any easier for someone on the go filming your hunts!

Must have. This app is a must-have if you want to talk to Kim with Wi-Fi. It Easley allows you to adjust the settings on the camera check to see where your cameras actually seeing. It also allows you to transfer files from the camera to your phone. It just makes my life a whole lot easier when using the Tactacam app

Wasted my money. App won’t ever connect and camera needs to be pointing directly to light to get anything but black screen. Waste of money.

Easy to use, great picture. iPhone 12 Pro. Resolution is great, lighting great, great product. Weird that it vibrates but overall great. I’d recommend this product. Make sure you log into the Wifi settings (not Bluetooth) on a device to connect through this app. Best of luck!

Sub-optimal wifi. Great hight deff vids. Easy to use. But the wifi is crap. Wifi fails constantly. You don’t have don’t have enough time to review vids before it crashes. The app will not connect with my iPhone 😡😡. I have reset my network settings and turned camera WiFi off then back on and my phone won’t find the camera

Best tool in my hunting pack. I absolutely love the tactacam app it really takes the guess work out of the shot placement for me if I am second guessing a shot I pull my phone out and pair it to my tactacam and watch the shot.

Just full of bugs. Bought last year and have had nothing but issues with connectivity, playback and crashing. Little too pricey to have this many issues. Please tactical, get your crap together....

Keeps Crashing!!!. So disappointed! App crashes all the time. When it crashes, the camera won’t turn off and I have to keep pulling battery to get it to turn off. If this keeps up, I’m buying a go pro and telling everyone not to by this camera.

Tactacam app. This all is great for viewing videos in the field. It is easy to use and allows for camera operation off of phone.
