Straightforward and Worth Premium. I actually learned about this app from my sister but I’ve used it far more than she ever did. If you want photos to look like they were taken on a Kodak drug store camera, this is the app for you. As Brian Eno once said, we replicate the things that once annoyed us when a medium goes out, and in this case it’s the off, dreamy quality of flash photography. I like that you can choose to have the app make a folder in your photos just for pictures you’ve edited in the app, but I don’t use it personally.

Surprisingly Good App, In A Sea Of Mediocrity. I really enjoy this app. The mere fact I can take images, view them AND save them without having to deal with pop up ads is really respectable. Just a small banner ad at the top of the app itself that can at times be a little frustrating when you try to hit the buttons located right below it, often times you can hit it by accident. But this can be fixed by a $.99 purchase. I couldn’t believe how cheap it was, I told myself I’d happily pay for/support this app and its developers and when I found that you could indeed pay for a full app, and that it was so cheap I was more than willing to do it. I’m only giving this app 4 stars because there is always room for improvement. But by all means this app takes amazing and beautiful photos. Do recommend!

Love this app!. I use to use this app a few years ago and forgot about it until today. I was scrolling through the reviews on here when I came across a few reviews stating it’s a great app and their only suggestion was wanting the ability to edit the date. As I downloaded the app, I took a photo and immediately noticed you are able to adjust the date! The creator does listen to us and our suggestions!! It’s a 10/10 app and I have no complaints. Photos look epic and vintage and I can adjust the date to my liking if need be! Love ittt!

Nothing short of amazing!. The HUJI app has completely taken over all of the photography that I do on my phone. Due to the light changes and cool effects added by using the HUJI camera, I find no use for the normal iPhone camera. It adds a nice vibe to every picture taken, no matter what it is. I could take a picture of someone I absolutely hate, and when I see the picture with the HUJI effects it’s like I’m seeing someone I adore. The creators really did a great job with this app. If I could give more than a mere 5 stars I most certainly would. I highly suggest this amazing app!

Great but…. I love the filter effects of this app and have upgraded to the full version. The only thing I would like to see is for the app to save the original image without the filter when taking a photo within the app. Because you have no control over the filter (I get that this is because of the vintage effect) I would like to be able to save a photo in case the filter doesn’t turn out the way I expected. It would be helpful to make this a toggle feature so that if a user wants to completely mimic a disposable film camera they can, but if you’re like me and want to be able to have more control over the image, you can. I think my suggestion fits with the concept of the app because the 99cent version includes uploading an image to add the filter effect to it, so saving the original image when you take a photo within the app isn’t that different.

Great app but needs more options 🖤🎲. Like I said “ great app “ but needs more customization. (1. You can choose light leaks and dust effects.) Having the effects randomly generate it’s not a big deal but it would be really nice to be able to choose your own effects in case you don’t like the dust affect or the light leak it generates for you. (2. A option to zoom in and out.) This one is a pretty big deal I find that a lot of pictures I take I like to zoom in on things. some things are a little too far away and you can’t get close to them. (3. The action to take videos with zoom.) I realized how cool it would be to make videos look just like the pictures on the app. With this option you would be able to choose your own light leaks, dust affects, be able to zoom in and upload videos from your camera roll onto the app. I think all of these options would really be great for the app. I see people complain about this app because there’s not any customization options everything is just random. hopefully my opinion gets seen because I really look forward to seeing this on the app even if I have to pay. 🖤💋

Updated. I love this app! I love being able to develop photos in the lab but right now when I go to lab it has no plus button all of a sudden. Please send help .......UPDATE: so... it may have been user error. At first the app did stop working and it wasn’t my fault. So with that said I had deleted and reinstalled the application and I hadn’t restored purchase yet so that probably explains why the reinstall didn’t fully solve it right away. Once I hit restore purchase I was able to use HUJI cam like new! It’s still a little laggy but I only need a couple photos developed at a time so it doesn’t crash.

LOVE IT. i often find myself trying to use snapchat or instagram for cute aesthetic photos with cute affects but this app just does it better. They chose random designs or “affects” for each photo and they often come out amazing.i also found that to get it out of its starting screen you need to turn it to the side, not tap. overall i love this app and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future. only ba drying i can think of is that they don’t let you control/adjust the lighting, but sometimes this makes the photo come out more tan on my skin(i am a of white ethnicity).

Why does this app keep trying to read my screenshots?. Upon updating to iOS 16.0.2, I’m seeing prompt that “HUJI wants to read and paste a copied screenshot”. Now I know iOS 16.0 had issues where it would ask for every single app, but it was since fixed with 16.0.2. What is this app exactly trying to access from my clipboard exactly, and why must it read my most recent screenshot? I keep denying it the ability to do why it wants with the clipboard contents, and revoked access to any of my photos (only allowing the photos to be saved). This app works in a strange way, and it concerns me there is conveniently no Privacy Data about this app here on the AppStore page.

Best app ever. It’s the greatest app I’ve ever seen, I don’t even use my normal camera anymore. Could be better if there was recently deleted part cause I’ve accidentally deleted good photos a lot of times so should be the feature, and clicking on the camera thing every time you go in is annoying. Has the best filter in the world and the numbers on the photos are sometimes annoying but cute at the same time well I know why developers made it so people when they see the photo would be interested of the quality and understand that it’s a HUJI photo but it’s MUCH better than that stupid apps that they put they’re apps name on the photos, it’s just really annoying like Filto the app. HUJI has such a good quality that my mom got interested in it and she uses it now. :DDD definitely recommending the app. ❤️❤️

This is the best. But 1 problem. Honestly, this is the best app I have ever used. I’m in love. But there is just one tiny problem . When ever I want to tap on the camera when you first open the app. It won’t take me there. I have to take a few pictures before I can press it. I’m not sure if you would consider this a bug but it would be great if that can be fixed. I just got a new phone and my first phone, I had an iPhone 6 it still had the same problem. Now that I have my new phone I thought it would change but it didn’t. The same thing happens to one of my friends. If you see this please try to fix this problem. Thank you 💘

Fantastic app, could be even better.. This app is fantastic, there’s no reason to use the regular camera anymore. The light effects and the fact you can’t choose them is brilliant! However, when I want a light effect, I sometimes have to take up to 30 pictures just to get one, this can be very unfortunate as sometimes an image comes once. It would be nice to have a couple things. A. Be able to turn light effects on, making sure every shot gets a light effect. B. Be able to remove all effects from photos. C. Be able to choose different styles, seeing that currently the app pushes color more toward orange and pink, it would be nice to have an opposite (blue and green). Also seeing the app pushes deep contrast, maybe you could add a “flat” mode, to achieve the cinematic look. Still keeping with the vintage and film look, but with great colors. D. The ability to zoom, focus and change aspect ratio. I love the app, Im in no means trying to drive it away from its roots, simply pitching ideas to maybe develop something to fit bigger needs. This is a solid app, and I highly recommend it!

kathryn_gillian. I LOVE HUJI!!!!!! It’s a great camera that gives you beautiful lighting that the app camera doesn’t. And you can put fun dates on it just for the sake of it! Also you can add random little lights into that really are just the cherry on top! It’s a great camera for if you love to post cute photos on your instagram or Snapchat. This app really is a great app if you want your photos to have a little more POP in them. It’s greattttttttt!!!!!!! And I have had it for almost 2 years and it hasn’t deleted any of my photos.(so no glitches in the system). It really just gives a cute look to your photos. Well really all this time I’ve been trying to say, I CANT LIVE MY LIFE WITHOUT IT. ITS SO GREAT!!!!!!!!! I really suggest this app. It really is a great app that comes in handy for those photos you really want a pop in! 5 stars! (P.S. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WHOEVER CREATED THIS APP. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR PHOTOS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!)

An actual review. I would totally recommend this app to anyone who is looking for a better app to take pictures on! But there is some things with the app that I am not a really big fan of. This may just be me but it is difficult to get the screen where you take the photos on (not sure what it is called) I have to keep constantly keep pressing the button until it finally shows up. You also can’t choose the filters. Sometimes I have to redo a photo because there is a rainbow line right in the middle of the photo and it annoys me. The filters are still amazing and I love the app but these are suggestion that I would love it if they were fixed.

LOVE this app - one issue with paid version. I love this app and my friends and I are constantly Huji-invite whenever we go out! One bug I’d like to report (not sure how else to give feedback about this) is that in the paid version, after the old pictures I uploaded are “developed”, the app freezes and doesn’t let me open the pics or do anything so I ALWAYS have to force quit the app and reopen it to see my newly developed pics. I hope there is a solution to this issue! I already have the newest updated version of the app and it still freezes up. Thank you!

Needs improvement - more links - original filter - more filters. I honestly never wrote a review on the App Store but I had too I love love your app it reminds me of kit cam. But can you please update it to not having the filter I would love to take original photos with out the vintage I totally get the reason why it like that but it would be better with out the filter or at least give a option to having it regular as well. Also can you please give people the option to select the leak they want that would be amazing as well . I also think you should have more leaks there one kit can had it was a purple leak going across the photo in any angel that would be great as well. Please update it even if .99cent I wouldn’t mind. The more leaks and options the better. Your app is the best so far. Please improve!

I can’t live without it!. I’ve been using this app since my sister suggested it to me last summer while we were on a trip in Canada. I took nearly every picture on that trip with this app because it’s so great! I love how it makes my pictures look and I couldn’t live without it. Like I said I’ve been using it since last May and just yesterday I finally decided it was worth paying the 99 cents for the paid version. There’s a very small amount of apps I’d actually pay for, but the extra features of being able to import pictures you take outside of HUJI and to auto save pictures instead of having to save them all one by one is so worth it. I believed in this app enough to pay for it and even if you just use the free version it’s an amazing app! No annoying pop up ads they’re just tiny banner ads at the top of the gallery so they’re not obnoxious like most apps. Highly, highly recommend!!! :)

Account/Login. I have had this app for the past 4 and I am obsessed with it like I was when I first got it. Over the course of time I’ve had to get new phones and thankfully! All my photos were saved in the app, that it never crossed my mind I would need to save them separately, until now… ☹️. In the past, I’ve backed-up the app and I had no issues with losing photos but this time around I did a final backup and set up my new iPhone. I had to redownload the app (which I can’t remember if it was always like that or if the set up process for a new phone is different now??), which is fine I assumed all data would be saved but unfortunately when I opened the app all my photos were gone 💔🥺. I was able to recover some that were sent to friends but overall majority of my photos have been lost, I didn’t have the huji photos automatically save onto my iPhone, since it would take up more space and I liked how I could keep it separate. A suggestion, if you could create some kind of way to make an account that would safely store/archive any photos taken, that way when transitioning or repairing a broke phone it’s not a total loss. I will automatically be saving hujifilm photos to my actual photo album. RIP to my past captured memories 🥺. Still love the app and can’t wait to capture new memories.

Options. I love this app. I love the layout and the feel around the app. Makes me feel like I have a disposable camera on me all the time, without having to dispose anything. How the photos are saved and dated makes perfect sense. I’m curious if it’s a possibility to edit the contrast after taking a photo. I know the point of a film disposable camera would be the fact that it’s instant and not editable, etc but because it is on an app and I’d think it would be an option. I love the app but I do wish I had some light and zoom options... All about improvement out here ✌️

Great...when it works.. I love so much about this app. It’s fun and quirky, it’s a loving facsimile of film, and it makes night shots with flash (usually a nightmare setting when it comes to photography) look too cool to believe. However, shortly after I downloaded the app, I found that it refused to go fullscreen no matter how many times I tapped the lens in the upper right corner of the screen. This makes it near impossible to see what I’m shooting, and it also prevents me from using the front facing camera or reaching the settings. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app several times, but this crippling glitch remains. If the developers could fix this problem, I’d be using this app every day!

Please add a way to change the date!!. I love using this app so far! I just downloaded it. However, my only wish is that I could change the date on the photo. I often save photos so I can post them later, but when I do this, I typically don’t edit them (and therefore, save them as new photos) until I want to post them. Saving them as new photos makes it so that the date on the photo is the current date and not the date the photo was actually taken, which makes the Huji app think that I took the photo on the current date. I’ve tried a few different apps to change the date on the edited photo in order to reflect the original “photo taken” date, but nothing helps. Please consider this feature in an update!!

BEST APP OUT THERE✨. Honestly, this is the BEST app I’ve ever downloaded on my phone EVER. it’s really great, cause it gives you so many different filters and effects (such as, dust, color leaks, fuzziness, tints and etc) and the date (present or 1998) which I personally think is really cool. There is a paid version you can get, but honestly you get so much from the free version there is no need to upgrade. There are ABSOLUTELY NO ADS which is wonderful and takes up very little storage on your phone (which is especially great if you have a 16gb device like me) Thank you so much and keep up the amazing work✨🌸 ☀️✨s u m m e r s u n✨☀️

HUJI is amazing. HUJI is a very nice app I love using this app to take cute photos my friend suggested this app and I love it so much I have taken so many photos and I love the vintage look to all of the photos for every photo there is so much depth to the photo and I love this app if you want an app that will make a vintage look then this is the right app for you. You can take the most stupid picture on tour regular camera then you take the same picture but with HUJI and the picture is just automatically amazing. I have taken pictures of clocks dogs darts and my friends and I compared them to my normal camera and this app beats by so much. I love you HUJI

amazinggg. Huji is a terrific app, it’s everything you would expect really. Any picture you take is turned into a beautiful ‘aesthetic’ vintage photo. I’ve taken a lot of photos now and haven’t been disappointed. I was just wondering if they could simply add the filter to a picture already taken in your camera roll even before you got the app, I know it would definitely make my photos have a little “pop”. I would also like to be able to change the date to whatever date I’d like, that would be really cool. Other than those request the app is amazing.

5 stars for sure!!!. I love the app! Used to, I’d always take my pics on Snapchat bc it was so good and I could get cool filters and stuff, but then my mom made me delete it. Then I had to take all my pics on the the regular iPhone camera, and we all know that thing don’t do nothing! So for months I was like going through my camera role trying to edit pictures and stuff and they all looked like crappy doodle bc I didn’t have a good camera. Well, yesterday I was with my friends at the mall and they were all taking pics with HUJI can. And I was like what is that? And they showed me and I loved so I got it. Now I have GREAT quality pictures that make me happy 😂 so big thumbs up and 10 out of 5 for this!!! Thanks 🙏🏻 for whoever created it!!!

In love. I absolutely love Huji cam so very much, like i cannot stop taking pictures with it. I have an iphone 8plus, so the camera on my phone is already really good, but i have to say I think I rather take pictures using huji than just my regular camera... with the exception of portrait mode. I would like to make a suggestion. I think it would be super cool if huji had a fish eye lense option, a panoramic option or/and a choice of what kind of filter goes over the photo. It would also be cool if people could adjust the saturation, contrast, lighting etc. Overall I am head over heels for the app, it makes me feel so artsy!

This app is 100% worth it, I’m OBSESSED. The app is easy to use and is free. Other apps I have seen that do something similar always cost money. I also highly recommend upgrading so you are able to import pictures! I went on a trip and took pictures with my normal camera and took some in the app. The pictures did not save which was upsetting at first but I found out you could upgrade for a dollar and it would allow numerous other functions/features. I am totally obsessed with it! I imported old pictures from previous trips in it and it is a total must!! When importing you can also choose if you want the leaking light/dust in it as well! I highly recommend to everyone that doesn’t want to buy a disposable camera!

My Review. Hi I would like to say that I do LOVE this app and it’s a super fun and nice app to make memories with, but I do have one problem. I wish that you could create an account on this app where if you delete the app and re-download it the photos would still be there. My current phone does not have much storage and for that reason I cannot backup my phone. I’m getting a new phone very soon and I would really love to still have all of my photos because my current phone is going to completely delete everything off of it. I’ve been using this app for about 1/2 years and have many photos and want a way to re-log into this app. Please consider my review! Thanks! I really want to save all of the photos that I have currently because they all whole many memories & I would hate to lose all of them!!!

I love it!. Me, personally, I have never liked any other photo editing app because they either have the bad stuff for free and the good stuff costing money or they just don’t have the orange date at the bottom. I don’t know why, but that is a big thing for me. I also have never had an app that had a filter that made me feel confident in the photo. Some people like the filter and some don’t. I also like that I could take a picture of anything ugly or gross and make it pretty in and of itself. The app takes the old disposable cameras and transforms it into an app. Which I also really like. I guess some people say I like a lot of things but this definitely made one of the top lists. I highly recommended this app for any person trying to take good photos with the wrong filters or wrong lighting.

Basically.... I LOVE THIS APP SMMMM DEFINITELY GET IT!! but few things...first when I try to get full screen it takes longer maybe like 2 minuets or something but I can’t get in immediately. Second sometimes I don’t get a filter or light flare or something. And the app kinda isn’t good bc I can’t put filters on my pics with out paying so I hv to take pictures. Also I have my random light flares in but I don’t get any light flares!? What’s up with that!! Overall the app is pretty lit ski ^ is a few things I would try to fix but like it’s honestly pretty good so if y’all r reading this I would definitely get this app except I hv some minor complaints! okay that’s it!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. i LOVEEE huji I’ve first downloaded it last summer and i’ve been using it nonstop ever since I probably have over 3000 pictures by now, which leads me to a point I’m worried about, i have experienced before the sudden loss of all data on my phone it basically fell into water and it didn’t work again, luckily i had backed it up into my computer a few months back before the accident but still i lost a pretty big amount of pictures from my camera roll, now that was before I downloaded huji, but now that i did I can’t help but feel scared that this might happen again and all 3000+ pictures on huji will be long gone, what i mean is i really hope the app developers can make an update where you can save the pictures into the app with some kind of account(usernames and stuff) so that even if you delete the app or somehow lose all the data they can still be safe and there , and i know i can save everything into my camera roll but for me that’s not convenient because there is A LOTT pictures in there so i really can’t, but i really hope they can make an option like that so the pictures will always be saved sort of my the memories section of snap chat

Incredible app very fun and easy to use id give it 15 stars. So this is my first review for any app since I can even remember, I could hardly find the app store in my phone! This is the coolest photo app for fun no frills and exciting photos that add that extra jazz for any given moment, obviously taking real photos on the emulsion photographic process dating back to 1886 is now an extremely expensive and time consuming art. And a strong learning curve for those who have never tried. So that being said if you want a “film look” get a film camera. If you want something fun and kind of a flex when you tell people to take your picture with this app they will look at you and not even know how to take the picture on a “modern phone”. So yes please get this app. Its AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Resurrected my love for photos. I’ve barely been using this app for a week and I am already so in love with it. It makes me appreciate photos again in a way that I lost sight of. I like that the light leaks happen sort of randomly vs this just being a light leak editing app. So many of those already exist. This makes me feel like I’m looking at physical moments & memories, like I’m looking at photos I picked up at the 1-hour photo shop down the street. Speaking of that nostalgic feeling I think that would be an amazing addition/option to this app !! It would be amazing to select up to 20 photos or so & to submit them for developing & pic up !! I know I want to get a lot of these photos I’ve taken with HUJI cam printed, it’d be awesome if that could be a feature within the app !

From FUJI to HUJI .... I grew up with FUJI Film cameras being a prominent thing around my home and I couldn’t be any happier to have found this app. In my opinion it’s the best app that captures the look of the photos I remember (and some I still have). From the light leaks to the slight fuzziness in some shots and the hit or miss with how clear or blurry different photos would come out. I know people are saying that they want these other options and the ability to do this-and-that but I think they’re missing the point: You can’t do much with these film cameras in actual life. Just point and shoot and pray that your images come out clear and not half bleached in light leaks, making the subjects barely visible. So, the fact that you get what you get in the app is already exceeding the functionality of a real physical disposable camera. And that’s why I love the app. It’s simple and straight forward. Just like disposable cameras. And if you’re still disappointed by not having your own filters to choose from, think of it like this: You don’t even have to wait for the roll of film to be developed to see and have your photos in an album. Digital or otherwise ;)

My Opinion on the HUJI app. I like the app because it makes the pictures look better, more detailed, clear, and a lot more interesting. I mean sometimes it’s clear but other times I just can’t get it to be clear. It will be all blurry and everything. But that’s only if I’m trying to take a really close up picture or something. But anyways, and in other words, this app is pretty well made. Sometimes I can’t get the camera to turn on when I face the camera down and hit it. It takes me a little while to get it right sometimes. But other times, I can easily get it on the first try. Something I don’t like is that you have to pay $0.99 to edit a picture from your camera roll. I mean I kind of understand the point of it, but what if I forget to take a picture that I really like on the app? Then I can’t use that great picture I took on the app unless I pay for it. It’s not that big of a problem, and it doesn’t really bother me that much, but I was just saying. But other than that, the app is pretty great.

It’s ok but here’s a suggestion that’s really needed for the app. Ok so I’ve been using this app and don’t get me wrong, it’s a very good app to take vintage and film aesthetic pictures to set your phones theme or just to take pictures or whatever you want it to be used for, anyways, like I said it’s a good app with a really cool looking filter, but it would be nice if you were able to change the date, and also here’s the really big thing that needs to be added to the app, you can’t import any photos, and you aren’t able to save your photos if you delete the app, Now here’s the thing, sometimes me personally like to import pictures because I’m not always going to use the app just for the filter, I’m a editor and I like editing photos, and testing out different filters, do when it comes to taking pictures I always use the normal camera app for the iPhone. The reason being this is because, if I ever want to take original pictures and test different pictures with different filters, Then, I would need the original pictures I took from the camera app, overall all this it’s still really cool if you like to take pictures that have a very nice film aesthetic to it and give everything a very nice vintage feel to your photos!! ❤️❤️

One detail and it’s PERFect. My only wish... is to have the sound effects along with the brief waiting period after a photo is taken for it to “develop”. All I get is an image on the screen and I’m unable to take another snapshot (as you would a real disposable) I just wish you could hear that glorious wind-up sound as it “recharges” to take the next photo!! Other than that it looks like a classic developed picture, sometimes you get those red or blue glares in the corners, sometimes they’re not completely in focus, but that’s what I absolutely love about the aesthetic. And to upgrade it is only .99¢ so I will definitely be upgrading so I can import exposition get photos to the app. Seems like it will be well worth it!

Love it omggg😭😭😍. I normally do not write reviews for apps but once I saw the effects it adds so easily for my pictures I was in love. I love this soo much. The app does everything it’s supposed to, going beyond what I thought I would get. They continuously add updates to make their pictures look even better. And although I understand the actual cameras the app is being based off of couldn’t take video, I think it would be a big jump for the app to include a video option. Other than my own preference of a video feature, this app goes above and beyond when it comes to creating quality vintage photos and I have to say I’m in love with the aesthetic. :))) 10/10 recommend

A complaint about whining.... Honestly, the app looks great. Based on the description here in the store and it’s focus on ‘98, I think it’s safe to assume that this app is more about the nostalgic experience than the actual filter/effect, so I’m a little shocked that the two most prominent features of a disposable camera were left out of the app UI. I would love to see a virtual film winder in the corner tha ratchets with each twist. I think that would just be a fun optional setting. But what I’m actually upset about is the lack of the flash button/switch’s telltale “whine” as it builds it’s charge. That was my favorite thing about disposables, or really, any analog camera with a bulb-type Flash. So, yeah. That’s my only “complaint” so far. User interface extras.

Thai is great but one thing...... Ok so I love the dates on the photo and that you have change the date and stuff and also my brother was on my phone and I did not know but he deleted my FAVORITE pic and I was going to look in recently deleted but the app does not have is 😭😭😭so it will be nice is you do add we’re you can go to recently deleted if it is possible also it will be cool if we could pick or edits that we want on certain pics but if not it is still a really good app and I use it every single time I take a pic 😂 so these were just thoughts you do not have to do them just saying!!!!

Glitchy but beautiful. It’s so frustrating to write this review, because I love the way this app makes photos look- but this app is absolutely riddled with weird glitches. I am constantly closing it out and reopening it just to make it function. If you process photos in the lab, you can’t then smoothly look through, you have to close, reopen, and THEN you can scroll & save. Some photos, for reasons I don’t understand, have a big block of black at the bottom and are pushed up when processed, cropping out a ton of the picture. Sometimes I can get around it by screenshotting and then trying that photo again- but it’s SO MUCH WORK for functions that should be simple and just do what they are supposed to. Begging y’all to please just make this thing functional

Great, but please read suggestion:. I just downloaded this app today and took lots of random pictures lol. The vintage filter vibe this app gives basically makes every picture you take look good and gives a very pleasing aesthetic. HOWEVER... The reason I gave this app 4 stars instead of 5 is because you can only add the filter if you take a photo ON the app. I think it would be a lot more enjoyable if I was given the option to upload a photo from library and THEN put the filter on it (because there are a few photos in my library that I would like to add this filter to, but I can’t because of this reason). I get that you want to keep the whole vintage vibe, but like I said.. I (and many others) would enjoy it EVEN MORE if you made that an option. :)

Love it!!. My friend old me about this app and all my other friends downloaded it, I decided to too. When I got it I was a little confused because when you open the app it looks like a film camera, I couldn’t figure out how to click on the small square in the top right corner. My friend showed me and it was easier than I thought. Now that I have HUJI I barely use the camera app apple gave to the iPhone. I absolutely love it! I love when the light reflects off the sun and makes a rainbow on the picture. I highly suggest this app if you don’t have an experience camera and only have the phone camera.

LOVE IT!!! Here’s why!. So here are all the things the non-full version gives you: No watermark, the effects are random but always cool vintage looking, the date can be changed to current or left at 98, unlimited photos, automatically makes a folder for that apps photos in your camera roll. To be honest, I am OBSESSED with this app!! I think the only thing some people could say is a downside is that you can’t import photos, and the vintage filters are random, you can’t choose. But I think it’s cooler this way!! They’re all so similar that it doesn’t really matter, and by not being able to choose, it’s like a REAL old school camera! Love everything about this!! 10/10! I recommend!!!

Awesome Pictures. Love the pictures you get from this app!! However, I’ve started to get pretty frustrated with the app because I’ve only had it for about 2 weeks or so and it’s virtually impossible for me to click the lense in order to bring up the camera in full view. I will click the lense over and over and over like a hundred times and it won’t let me use it which means I can’t reverse the camera to use the front facing camera. I’ve tried to close the app out and still open it and it still won’t work. The first couple of times this happened it would work after awhile but now I can’t get it to work at all 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ contemplating downloading a new app with the same kind of camera if I can’t get mine to work.

Ok... so. I really like this app because it looks really cool for pictures. I think that because I didnt buy the full version i cant pick the filter or something like that but the filters it gives you is really cool. By filter i mean it gives you different affects like sometimes it will do ligting some where randomly or add something to make it look fuzzy and it gives you the date of either that day or i forget the other one but it does another year. Anyways thats all cool but for some reason ill find random pictures of me on it i didnt take. And i know for a fact i didnt take them and that i didnt leave the camera open when not taking pictures. I always check the pictures in another section you can click to check them and when i put my phone down to for example move something in the picture it always shows me all my pictures and doesnt go back to the camera. Plus if I did on accident i wouldnt click out take a picture of me of my phone in my lap and then going back. I dont know i just think its weird. I do think you should buy this app its really cool. (Sorry ignore the spelling errors if there is any)

Can you add a new feature to the app?. I love everything about the app itself!! The filters are amazing and I love the colors and everything! But one thing I wish the app ha is an import button where we could bring our own photos from our camera roll into HUJI to edit. I love the filters they have and I have a lot of photos that I took using the camera app on my phone that I want to edit so that it has the filters HUJI uses. Please take this into consideration in your next update because I have a lot of friends that use HUJI that complain (not really complain more like whine) about not being able to have access to HUJI filters for other photos.

Really good, but.... The app is very cool to use, I really like the filters and the effects (meaning the light leaks, the film dust etc) but the one thing that annoys me is, you cant change the date. It gives you 3 options. Either, no date at all, or it makes the photo have the date from when you took that photo, or, it gives its own date with “98” on the bottom. What I’m meaning is, I wish I was able to type in my own date. Another thing is, I wish I could choose my filters. The app, picks it for you. I mean yes there really great. But I like better when my photos have film dust on the picture, because they remind me of stars and I like that, but usually it’s very rare, so, in order to find the right one I like you have to keep uploading lots of the same picture and pick the one you like best. It’s a great app, but, I liked lomograph better. But lomograph was taken off the App Store, so now I’m stuck with the second best. If your looking for a good app pick lomograph. That app was REALLY good, but if it’s not in your AppStore/GooglePlay (idk if it’s on androids anyway) then I recommend This one.

Dates on Imported photos. I really do love this app for bringing a “vintage” feel to my photos. I take a lot of pictures so one aspect of photo editing apps that important to me is being able to preserve the original content of the photo (like date, time, and location) on the copy. Typically if I import a photo, it does preserve all of that original info. But since updating, the date the photo is imported is replacing the actual date of the photo. The correct location is still on the photo, just not the date and time. It makes my camera roll so incredibly messy, because typically the original and imported photo would be side by side in my camera roll, but now they are just at the end of it. If I edit a photo from a month ago, then the photo is now out of place from the other photos. If it takes me several days to get to editing or running something through HUJI, then again they are out of place bc of the time and date stamp. It’s going to affect my “memories” or apps like timehop (which again, I love all things from the past lol). This is probably a small complaint, but it’s almost not even worth using the app anymore because it’s more hassle than it’s worth at this point. In addition, since updating HUJI has malfunctioned a lot. It’s glitchy and won’t allow me to select/save photos with out tapping for minutes at a time, or generally trying to pull on the photo till it asks if I want to save or share. If these issues is corrected I would be happy to change my review. Thanks

Question. I’m really confused. Is there a way that you can edit the photos yourself when you upload them (I paid the $1.49 to have my photos imported)? Every time I go into my camera roll and upload the photo to HUJI cam, I can’t find a way to edit the photos myself. Is this the point of the app, or can you edit the photos yourself?

Huji. I love this app and how I feel confident with it but I hate how when u touch your screen you can’t adjust the brightness so if the sun is making me washed out I can’t just tap and it fixes it. If they changed that this would be a 5start app

Works Perfectly As Advertised. A fun way to capture memories and occasionally make something more artistic. The randomness of vintage effects brings back the unpredictability of taking photos on an old film camera. Great for parties etc.

Shocked. This is definitely one of the best apps I have ever got, as you can take pictures with a gorgeous filter and the date (what is easily to change the date layout) This is also a great app for Instagram pictures etc. I definitely would recommend getting this app for sure! Nice app. this app is awesome I definitely recommend its great that it puts a pretty filter on the picture I would only suggest sometimes it’s hard to press the camera to make it full screen one time it took me around 5 minutes to finally get it to work so it was very annoying

Great filter but the bugs are getting ridiculous. I have been using this app for years and personally love the filter. It has always had glitches and bugs; being super slow, app shutting down, not opening but I’ve managed to look past it. However recently those bugs have been getting worse and what’s worse is when I have imported my photos to apply the filter the photos are always cut in half. Please FIX! I don’t want to stop using the app

There’s a $1 option and I recommend it so much because don’t get me wrong I love the app but to get the filter it’s a bit slow so if you just take a photo and press the plus button it automatically and also you can save it to photos automatically.❤️❤️❤️❤️

delightful. I love Polaroid pictures but I’m not about that grainy / faded look about them. HUJI keeps the quality of the photo but makes it warmer and vintage looking which I love! I’d love an option where I can measure the intensity of the huji filter (because sometimes it comes out a bit too dark) but then again, that may take away the whole point of the “disposable camera” appeal.

Good, but. It’s a really fun app to play around with except you can’t flip the camera to take a selfie. You also have to pay in order for it to use pictures from your camera roll.

Pretty Good. It’s good but it will not let me make the in-app purchases. When I press “buy extra options” it has the loading circle for 2 seconds then returns back to the screen with the options. How do I fix this?

AMAZING but.... So I’ve been using this app for a while and I absolutely love it. I see so many people complaining that you have to pay to be able to import your own photos which is so rubbish. It’s literally $1.50 and then you get access to the import section so don’t know what they’re all complaining about, it’s dirt cheap and you only pay once. I would have given the app 5 stars but I’ve noticed recently that it’s SUPER glitchy which is bugging me. When I initially open the app and import photos it’s fine, but if I want to then delete, save, or import more photos it’s either super slow or doesn’t let me do it at all which means I have to close the app and reopen it to make any changes. PLEASE FIX THIS

The app isn’t loading :(. I love this app, I have used it for years! Today I wanted to take a snap and found it doesn’t load beyond the ‘title’ screen - it won’t take photos or let me import the to the lab. Please don’t tell me it’s retired! 🥺

Help. I really enjoyed the app when I first downloaded it and took maybe 4 photos but then after about 20 minutes of having the app it stopped working and wouldn’t allow me to take photos so I’ve since deleted and reinstalled it about 4 times and it’s still not working. Would love some help because I did love the effect the app gave but having to reinstall so many times isn’t ideal. :)

Pretty Good. HUJI cam is a great app that a lot of my friends use for their Instagram feeds. Honestly it looks amazing!! The only problem with the app is that if you want to import photos from your photo library you have to PAY! I understand that they are trying to make money, but I’d prefer them to make ads. Like if I want to import a photo from my holidays for example, I don’t often think about quickly getting my HUJI out. I just grab out my camera quickly to be live in the moment. It would be great if HUJI made it easier to use. Xx Otherwise, great app!

Love it but…. This app is so great, I’ve been using it for years and it really makes you capture moments as opposed to filling your camera roll with hundreds of pictures. I love to get these developed and pop them on my wall, but I’m so sad the “Import Photos” option isn’t available to me. I’ve emailed support and had no response which is disappointing. Still a great app, but if you want to add in your own photos for a cohesive style on a photo wall - the options isn’t there?

Pretty Great!. HUJI cam app is realllllly good. It’s nice because when you take a photo it puts a superb filter on it. The only thing that I’m a bit annoyed at is that you can’t make a video, but that’s what it’s like with a lot of these apps I guess. Other than that, it’s excellent!! Good job.

Love it. Really love the app! It brings the mystery back to taking pictures and the effects look amazing. The only down side is sometimes the effect makes the picture too dark and it doesn’t save an original without the effect- so sometimes if I’m in a hurry I don’t use it just in case... but all in all a great app!

Can’t get it open? Here’s your fix. Hey all! HUJI cam is wonderful, transporting you back to the year of 1998. What isn’t cool, is that it takes an arm and a leg to open the camera. There is an easy fix for this. Take your phone on a horizontal angle and put your face right up to your phone and look through the peep hole in the top left. “You wanna pretend your phone has turned into a disposable camera and you’re going to look through the looking hole.” Opens every time on horizontal, looking through the peep hole with my face right up to it.

pretty good. i honestly love this app! love the filters they have on it and how it says the date at the bottom the only thing that bothers me is that it won’t let me press the camera to make it go bigger so I can turn the camera around to let me take a selfie? sometimes it works but very rarely has it so yea :/ other than that the app is really good!

Anastasia. Huji is a great app, I always use it for my instagram pics and it adds a Killa effect, but I could take selfies with it and switch the camera, but when I turned it on today, I can only take photos using my back camera??

Paid Option Glitches. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app, it’s hand down my fav photo app. I recently brought the option to buy importing photos (great price for great outcome btw) but unfortunately it glitches so much. My first import when opening the app goes fine but after all my picture go blank and I can’t select them. I have to restart the app... please fix this but otherwise amazing app.

Lack of customer support. I accidentally made an in-app purchase that I didn’t mean to make. I’ve been trying to find out who I can contact to get this issue resolved but I keep on being redirected to “write a review” which is frustrating. I already tried to contact the Facebook page but I was told to leave a review instead. I can’t contact apple support either since the purchase is considered a pending purchase despite all of the purchasable options being unlocked.

Subscription not working. I bought the full version of this all and changed my iPhone and tried to restore purchase and it’s not working!!!!!

Recent problems. I’ve loved and used this app for years now but only recently I have noticed some glitches particularly one, every time i open the app it asks me if I will allow copy and paste and no matter how many times i answers yes or no it’s will appear the next time I open it and it really hinders my ability to take pictures, I have notice the app in general is suddenly very slow, once these recent problems are resolved I will change to 5 stars

Great app. I’ve never had any problems with this app. The pictures turn out amazing nine times out of ten. They’re extremely structured and personally I think the contrast is perfect. The focus and design of the app is amazing. I don’t even need to edit my photos anymore, unless it’s touching up the brightness. I’d recommend this app to any photographer who doesn’t want to spend tons of money but still wants quality pictures

Should be more brand inclusive. HUJI I think should be available for more than just iPhone users. It’s a great and fun way to document memories and create cool pictures that are nostalgic and make great prints to share with others while getting that disposable camera filter which is part of the major appeal. I think with more phone brands had it available would allow more to enjoy the fun and cool qualities of throwing it back, and maybe overall improve the app and its popularity.

Great app. I love the aesthetics of a film disposable camera but not the cost. Upon finding a digital disposable mimic camera I came across this app. It generates great camera affects that are random very much like the film cameras. Love the look and the app works seamless to pay for the full version it’s very affordable but no need when the free version works so great! Recommend to anyone looking for a way to save money and keep your pockets light.

Some glitches, successfully fed the nostalgia. The app operates generally smoothly with only a few glitches (unlike many of the other analog/vintage cameras on the market which have many more problems (I’ve pretty much tried them all)), AND the late 90s filter looks authentic without being overdone to the point that it draws attention to itself as a filter, rather than simply as an effect of analog cameras (again, unlike many other apps...) I also like the simplicity of having one filter which is automatically applied to the photo...because who needs 50 mediocre ones when you’ve got 1 excellent one. My only recommendations are to fix the bug that causes the app to freeze sometimes (which would only return to normal operations after shutting down and reopening the app), and to perhaps add a front camera? But good job! Hope the developer(s) keeps up with the updates because this app is quality stuff 👍

Love this app BUT. This app glitches every single time I use it, I love using this app to take pictures but it’s SO slow and it only recognizes touch for the first 15secs of the app before it starts glitching!! I have an iPhone XR, would love if this issue got fixed!!!

DELETED PICTURES. I loved this app until I realized that I cant recover deleted pictures, I was trying to save pictures to my camera roll but instead i ended up deleting them and I am devastated. Hopefully their is a way to recover them but if not this app has some work to do.

Nice but glitchy. The effects are really nice but the app is slow and glitchy. For example with the paid version, when you add a photo, the first one works well, but then when you want to add s second one after that, the photo don’t appear anymore. You got to reset the app.

iOS 14 support?. I noticed this app hasnt been updated in years and it’s super glitchy in the latest version of ios 14. Doesn't run smoothly after importing and processing photos from gallery

It hasn’t been updated in years and has become so hard to use/glitches badly every time. Considering many ppl have paid for the full version I would expect the developers to keep this app updated!

Fun edits but overcharged me for premium. Supposed to only cost $0.99 and the app charged me over $9.

Great App!. I’ve loved this app for many years now! It’s amazing and it just adds that extra boldness to images… however, I’ve taken some photos where I feel the filter is too much OR I’d like the original and this app doesn’t save originals. I wish it had that feature so I could have some amazing photos without the dust specks etc…

Great app!!. Really love this app, only small issue is that it’s kinda glitchy at times.

I love this app!. HUJI is a fun app. It’s so easy to snap a photo! I also love how each photo can have a different effect depending on the lighting, etc. It does glitch sometimes, as other reviews have pointed out, but you can easily just reopen the app and it’ll be as good as gold.

Stop changing my photos. I unchecked the random light effects option but my white background photos still come out looking purple!!!! This is SO annoying. I already edited my photos and paid 99 cents just to be able to add that time stamp in the corner. That’s all I wanted. I got the exact time stamp i wanted but my photos are ruined now. I tried to undo the purple with a tint in apple photos editor but that j made it look over edited and patchy. I even selected the option to preserve the original photo but no dice. I have been looking for the time stamp effect that i wanted for like two hours and finally found it on this app at the cost of my beautiful photos. Huji film, how could you do this to me.

Nice but lacks features even if you pay. I bought the upgrade so you could have more options, including importing photos. That was fun to test out more photos with, but I found that the random lights effects have no customization or way to control/adjust. So the cool effect only shows up 1/3 of the time, and sometimes it will show up but be in a strange part of the photo like on the middle of your face... meaning you may have to import the same photo multiple times to even get a usable effect. I get that this may be part of the vintage vibe but it makes the app is a lot less usable as a photo effect.

my fav app by far. I LOVE this app. My most favorite way to take pictures by far. My only beef with it though is I wish that there was a way to make an account with HUJI in case of emergency. I went on a 7 week trip last summer and took pictures everywhere I went. However in The middle of the last week, my phone was a stolen along with all of my precious memories in my huji app:/ if I had an account, I could open it up on another phone and it wouldn’t be an issue. Besides that, I am forever a fan:)

Abandoned app. I’ve been a huge fan of the Huji app for many years now. Now unfortunately developers have not been supporting this app for quite some time now and it’s beginning to affect the quality of use on newer devices. Whenever I open the app and go into the lab I am unable to select photos from my library to process. I have to force close Huji multiple times before I can process just 1 single image. If I want to do multiple images, it will take an excessive amount of time to get anything done. Devs please come back and make the best version of Huji you can! Paid user on 12 Pro Max.

Love! Only two things I would change.. I love everything about this app! I can’t stop using it, taking photos of the most random things just for the sake of nostalgia. However, there are two things I would change. I would love to see more frequent random light effects, and I think adding the same feature but with filters would be amazing. I get sick of the same colors, it would be neat if the light effects and the filter was random every time. You could also add a feature to manually change / add light effects in filters! I want to see this app grow, I’m so obsessed!!!

Brought back my love for documenting moments.. I absolutely love this app and the no-nonsense experience it creates for documenting memories. The filter/effects are beautiful, but even more than that, I find myself taking photos more often of more real-life moments and less fabricated ones. Love the viewfinder mode and the idea of not looking at the photos right away. 10/10 recommend to anyone who is “over” the digital age of over-stylizing and caring too much about a polished image. Take a snapshot and get back to real life without the fuss. 🤙🏽✨

Bruh this camera is everything. I randomly downloaded expecting to be mediocre and was pleasantly surprised at the QUALITY of every picture I take ! I keep the random light effect on and it makes all my photos so unique, every picture I take looks so vintage and cinematic I’m amazeddd . It really feels like I’m using a real instant camera from when I was younger 😱 I need to get a Bluetooth printer . These are so good they’re printable and all I have to do it point and shoot, huji cam please never leave my life ✨🙏🏾

The Instagram Filter!. I remember this filter trending a year or two ago and I could never find it! Well stop your searching because I’ve finally found it! This camera takes amazingly saturated vintage filmed pictures! They include the date as-well as some random flashes of lights! I’m very pleased with this camera and so thankful that it’s free! The camera can be flipped both ways and every picture taken is saved in the lab! This app is very easy to function and I’m absolutely in love!

Fix date stamp when importing photos. Love the app, only thing is when I upload from my phone into the app the date remains at 98 instead of the current date. Vs when I take a pic on the app the current date is stamped. There’s no option for me to choose the current date when I upload a pic from my camera roll. How do you change the date stamp to the current date when you upload pics into the app, when the settings is already set for current date?

Amazing 🤩. So for awhile my photos on snapchat Instagram and Facebook were just pictures with filters that made you turn into and dog or it had hearts on your head or something like that but I didn’t want it to be like that anymore but I wanted it to have a filter on it. And then I found HUJI it’s is THE BEST picture app in the world! Now I will say the only bad thing is the wait for the camera to become bigger! But it ain’t more then like 5 seconds and it’s on so it really ain’t that big of a deal!!

Graet.... This app is actually great and that is exactly what I was looking for in the whole app store between a-lot of these editing apps. The only thing is that these apps like I mean they are for editing photos so importing your pic to edit it shouldn’t be Monetary. Other options can be but this point actually made me surprised!!!!! Not saying this for not paying but this is something common in all editing photos maybe someone don’t want to take a photo or installed it for editing and then you have to pay for just importing you photos.......

Nails the look!. As someone who grew up in the 90s, I have a lot of experience with disposable cameras (and old p&s film cameras) and this REALLY nails that look. I’m especially impressed by the use of the flash it’s such a specific look and again, it feels pretty much spot on. I really don’t want to see this develop/change much, I think it’s fun that it only does one thing, just like your single-use disposable camera would. The only things I’d potentially like to see would be: -the ability to process photos from your camera roll through this app (or just have the option to save a normal photo AND processed photo when you take it in-app, that would be excellent) and -maybe a single b&w film option (though less common, there were b&w disposables!) I don’t want it to get any more complicated than that, the simplicity is great. And even if it never upgrades, I will continue to use this app.

Fantastic App. I highly recommend downloading this app. Maybe not for a casual photo app over the camera on your phone, but to take awesome pictures of the sunsets or cool things you see in the nature. The filters make nature look beautiful and unbelievable. If you do use this app instead of your camera app, you cannot get the original picture without the filter. I would also like to see the app have a feature to make your own albums in the app. Overall a great app!

Love this app… but it freezes. First of all I will say this has been my go to filter app and camera for years and I love the quality and how easy it is to use. There’s one big problem that needs to be fixed though! Any time you upload new photos and process them with the filter, the app freezes immediately after done processing so before I can look at my photos, I have to exit out of the app and open up the gallery again. Just kinda annoying.

Love it... One of two favored camera apps, but would love if user was able to press on screen to focus and/or be able to adjust brightness. I see many users comment about how HUJI is their main camera, would love if it could also be used just like the main one as well. I know it’s going for an old vintage camera style but in some areas (like indoors) if your not super close to the photo, it will just be all white. Possibly have it in settings where you can have it or not, incase some don’t want that. Would love to enjoy these as an update !

👍🏻. so, this app is nice. it makes pictures look really cool and artsy. it adds this really cool coloring in random places, and it’s cute. there’s no real downfall. one sort of bad thing is that when you first open the app you see what you would see on a real HUJI camera. i think thats cool, but lately instead of it going away after a little bit, like it’s supposed to, it stays. it’s really hard to take a picture, because all you can see is a little circle of what you’re photographing. this might just be a problem with my phone, but still. overall though, it’s a wonderful app that i highly recommend.

AMAZING LOVE IT. huji is literally my favorite camera app I have. huji is basically a 1998 Polaroid filter that gives a 90s flare to any picture. I love this app so much because it just gives a natural filter to all my pictures, makes my face look good haha, and gives an artsy look to photos. the only thing I’d wish to see is that I could apply the huji filter to pictures I’ve already taken. right now I can only use the huji camera to take pictures, but I wish I could put the filter on pictures. after that, I have nothing but like complements for this app! I love it and I think you should definitely download it 💕

Spot-on disposable camera photos. This app is my new favorite for taking photos for sure. The photos come out looking just like they were taken on film—whatever wizardry was done to make that happen, it's good stuff. The settings symbol isn't the most intuitive, but there are only so many things you can tap that will do something. I like that you can't edit photos because, just like actual film, you don't know what you have until it's processed. Great work.

Great, But........ I really like this app. The filters that are adde are really cool! I just wish you could use a picture already in your phone’s camera roll and have it edit the picture. I have so many photos that I would love to edit the way huji edits them, but that isn’t and option. If I was able to edit my pictures with this app as well, I would love it a million times more, even if I just downloaded the image onto huji and it added all the filters like it does when you take a picture. I really hope you consider this as an upgrade!

Stuck on the green image thing. So I know your supposed to touch the shutter to get off the green part and get the full screen but it doesn’t work ever. So I’m stuck here taking photos through the little tiny screen until it randomly decides to go to full screen. This is also an issue with several other of my friends I introduced this app to. The filter itself is great but that part irritates my whole existence 😂 Update: Okay thank you for the response! I feel dumb haha but it worked so I changed my score to five stars. Thanks again. ❤️

PLEASE UPDATE. My favorite app of all time.. Please update the app. I’m afraid we will lose support for it in the future and I cannot live without this app. I love it so much that I’ve given strangers a dollar to download it and unlock the full version that allows you to import photos because it’s so good and I stand by it that much. There’s some bugs in that app that I would love fixed and maybe support for use of all 3 lenses. I love HUJI with all my heart. Please don’t forget about us.

Amazing! Just some suggestions. The app itself I love and it is definitely a great theme for Instagram. But, sometimes I need to snap a picture fast and the regular camera is easier access. I would love if we could upload a photo to add the filter to it so it doesn’t ruin a theme and more. Also, sometimes I will be in a spot with great lighting but the app takes the picture and makes the lighting very bright and white. I would love if we had the option where, like on regular camera, when you tap it darkens the lighting. Overall I love the app!

Huji App. i truly love this app! the editing makes all my pictures so much better. unfortunately, my phone had accidentally deleted the app without me knowing it and i had redownloaded the app. i opened it and all of my pictures were gone, it made me very upset because i had tons of pictures from trips over the summer. i truly relied on this app to keep all of my pictures, i feel there needs to be an improvement where pictures should be saved permanently. but other than that, i 100% recommend this app, it works so well!

App Glitch - Please Fix!. First thing - I love this app so much! It’s my favorite, but recently, whenever I open my Huji App up, it doesn’t allow me to take selfies - the button’s not even an option! It doesn’t show up, and all I can take is photos of front mode (things in front of me). However, it doesn’t change to View Finder Mode even though I’ve toggled it on and off. So, although I can take front mode pictures, I have to look through the tiny camera hole! And it’s been like this for about a week for me, please update the app and fix this bug!

Needs an account to log in. I love this app, I use it everyday and my pictures turn out great. I save them in my photo album and I'm sure a lot of other people do too. I recently broke phone, and got a new one and lost all of my apps and pictures. So my pictures on Huji were all gone, and I was really disappointed. My one and only problem/suggestion is where you can make an account on Huji to keep all of your pictures in the app in case you get the app on another device. I would feel reassured that all of my pictures would stay on an electronic device at all times.

Just like a vintage camera. I really love this app. Some people don’t like like that you can’t change the filters, but that’s what I love about this app. Sometimes it will add light leaks or dusty spots and sometimes photos are a little blurry. But I think the point of this app is to be like an instant camera on your phone. Each photo always turns out different and it really gives me a 90s feel. So, if you like retro one of a kind stuff and don’t mind it a little messy, this app is for you!

I love the timestamp. I really like the timestamp effect on pictures and appreciate that you can upload your own photos from your camera roll. I just wish that there was an option to only add the timestamp to a photo without all of the effects. I know you can opt out of the light features but I would love to be able To upload a photo with just the timestamp added. Also pictures most definitely look better if you take them from the HUJI app itself. If you upload pictures from your camera roll they look too over saturated and if it’s if anyone’s face your skin color looks strange. But it’s a cool app. I hope huji can take this into account in its next update :)

Very clever app. One of the best photo editing apps I've ever used. It's clever in that it appeals to the retro-look of photos, the style and design of the app, and the way it says "developing", all the while bringing back some nostalgia. I love the date stamps on them. Thankfully the light leaks are optional, and something about the being random (when turned on) makes it more appealing. (I would be too picky to choose a light leak myself lol.) The only feature I can think of next is that oh so nostalgic whine of the camera when it's wines up and the picture is taken. That would be fun. Great app

Good but needs a quick fix. I love everything about the filter, it has been blowing up recently but with the way the app is set up it’s hard to take a good picture (idk if yo I have to get the full version to change or not) but if not set it up to where you can use both cameras and see what you are taking a picture of more clearly (rn you can only tell thru the fake little camera lens) if you could make the whole screen visible of what you are taking a picture of and have the ability to flip to either camera that would be awesome!!! Favorite Pic App. I think that there are a lot of people that want to pick on this app because they don’t want to buy the full version, but honestly I can’t see why this isn’t everyone’s favorite place to take pictures!! Even if it doesn’t have l those high quality fancy picture editing tools or whatever, it does take astounding pictures and the effects it adds are so fun. The camera quality itself is really nice and clear, and I use this app every time I need a post on Instagram. For sure get this app- you will never regret it.

Amazing I personally recommend it!!. This app is so cool! It brings you back to when your parents had old cameras. It is a great app for picture taking and makes each picture you take very vintage and older looking. So if you are looking for so unique pictures downloading this app with help tremendously! The only thing that is a bit annoying is that when you take a picture you really can’t see what your taking. Cause there’s only a little hole you can see out of. But putting your phone to the right angle it comes out perfect!

In love💕💕💕. HUJI is totally amazing! I don’t have Snapchat so I can’t take good selfies so this is perfect. It is so much better than the basic camera app that comes with every iPhone. I will use this so much in the future. Another thing I love is the time stamp. It’s so unique and I’ve only seen something like it on this app. The only thing I would change is that you should be able to choose your own light FX instead of it randomly being anywhere. So far I’m enjoying it! Keep doing good!

Great app. Ok so I love this app it is a really cool photo app!! My only problem is that all of my friends can flip their cameras around and make there screen bigger. But when I try to change from the main screen that you are first put on it won’t let me. So I’m stuck with the tiny hole for trying to take photos and I can’t even flip the camera around. Which it very very annoying! Well others than that it is a great app and I would really recommend it. I don’t think that this problem occurs for everyone it’s just annoying when it does. ✌️♥️

i’ve loved this app since i got it!! <3. i’ve had this app for a while because i’ve always hated how the regular photos app just had regular old filters and just takes boring photos. now i have an app that will make it look like it has dust on the camera, and has light leaks, and amazing filters!! i’ve used this app forever and will forever continue to use it!! only problem i have is the ads, but i know i have to pay to get those away and i’m gonna have to pass, and how you can’t type in a date it only gives you three choices but other than that, i LOVE it!!

Found it. I had written a review before because I couldn’t find the add photos option and I just found it so it’s all good now Love the app , the only thing I would change is that when you import a photo I would have the option to move the date because if you import a square photo the whole date doesn’t fit - that’s seems my experience and also the option to not have the light effect applied to the photo. I had that option off and it still applies to the photo I imported and the photo I took of myself - please look into this

Huji is a good app other than... Huji is one of the best camera apps and I love to use it when I’m looking for an aesthetic effect, or just a quality picture with my friends. The filter is great, but I think we should have a choice of what kind of filter we want. like i love the filter, but always having the same filter gets old when you post most of them. If you guys could add in 1 or 2 more cute aesthetic filters you can choose from, that’d be great and make my feed more interesting. everything else in this app is incredible, and great job makin it:) thank you for reading!!

Could use some minor improvements.... So I just got this app and I have a few opinions about it. I love all the light leaks, the time, and how to photos look. However, when I try to click the corner to get a better, full screen view of the picture I’m about to take, I have to click like a thousand times JUST to see that up close camera view. It takes so long. Also, you guys should allow the option of videos. That would be cool. Anyways I just really want it to be easier to get the full screen camera.

Amazing app. I definitely love this app, how you can let the app choose the filters, instead of spending all your time picking a filter. I wish the app would let you type on the picture, like Snapchat. Overall it’s good though. If you pay $0.99, you can import your own photos from your camera roll which is really cool. Maybe you didn’t think about getting to HUJI and just went to camera, but you want a HUJI filter on your picture. 99 cents isn’t a lot of money. It’s worth it! Get this app! Definitely 5 ⭐️

update desperately needed. I really love the Huji cam effect on any photo I want to take. The filter itself is gorgeous. However, this app glitches all the time, and it makes it really unpleasant to use. Sometimes you can’t scroll, can’t save pictures, and sometimes the ones you upload get cropped in the weirdest way. Most of the time I just get frustrated & exit out of the app because it’s just so basic and feels like it hasn’t been updated since it was released. Begging the Huji team to fix what needs to be fixed because I love the pics I take with Huji and I’d like to continue being able to use it.

best photo app ever!!. i hated having to go through and edit all my photos, but huji cam makes it easy. the pictures turn out super cute and all i have to do is push a button! this app has made me so much more active on my instagram because now i dont have to worry about editing my pictures. best part? ITS FREE! no annoying ads either, and if you want you can pay 99¢ for a couple of extra features (which i may end up buying, idk). the only question i have is why didnt i get this sooner??

One little bug. Okay so I love my app, I use it all the time it definitely makes me look at the world differently and vibrantly. The one big problem is sometimes when I open the app, I will try to select pictures to edit (because I did pay for the added features) and although I click on the picture(s), it won’t let me and I have to close out the app and try it again. Usually I have to close it out twice before I can upload pictures.

Great app, but doesn’t work well with newest iOS. I love this app, and bought the paid version ages ago. But ever since the newest major iOS update, the app hasn’t worked very well. I waited a few weeks to say anything about it (I was going to reach out to support but that just led me here to write a review) but clearly they’re not sending out a fix/update. I can upload one photo just fine but after that none of the “buttons” work and I have to shut down and reopen the app for it to work again...for every photo! This didn’t happen prior to the iPhone update

pretty good- nice pics but I wish it had more fear. this is a nice app and can make any picture look 🌟aesthetic 🌟 which I think is cool lol. I just wish it some some more features. like I wish you could put in any picture from your Regular camera roll and it would out the filter on it, but it only works when you actually take the picture on the app. anyway yeah other then that it’s pretty cool. Although it’s also kind of annoying how you have to go into the “lab” to see the pictures. that’s kind of a weird way to set that up.

Great app, one suggestion. I really do love this app because it really gives the vintage look to your photos. The only suggestion I have is to save the photos both with and without the filter, just in case you like the photo but not the way the filter turned out. True, the whole point of the filter is to give it the vintage effect, but sometimes it just doesn’t turn out the way you really expected it to. Overall, however, it’s a really fun app and super popular among myself and my friends.

Beautiful photos, awful UI. I paid for the full version of the app, which allows you to import your photos. The app itself creates randomized light effects on your images and adds a filter to everything. The effect doesn’t translate well if the initial image that you import is dark, unfortunately. My biggest issue with the app is that if you close it, or your phone, during the upload process, it completely stops the import entirely. This is seriously frustrating and drains your battery like crazy. Also, the word “professional” is misspelled on the little film logo that appears when you are getting your images processed.

I Love It But…. I love the way this app takes pictures! It’s kind of a fun surprise each time you go to look at the pictures and see how they turned out! My only thing is, I deleted the app for storage thinking that I would be able to redownload it and see all my pictures again, but they were all gone. I was really bummed, so I wish that there was a way to save the photos to the app with an account or something. But that is my only complaint! I love it otherwise!!

Have loved for years but it could be way better. I’ve had huji for years and I’ve loved it, but now I can’t access it. I deleted and downloaded and it still won’t let me access the app. It says camera access is not allowed, which it always has been, but there are no settings to change it. So I guess I just can’t use the app anymore, which is a bummer. Another big problem I’ve always had is when you upload photos from your phone to edit, you have to then close the app entirely if you want to add more. This is time wasting and annoying.

Great App!. This app is amazing! It gives a perfect vintage feel to all the pictures I take within the app. I think it really takes ordinary pictures to the next level! Some things that would make this even better would be to have a little more control over how the pictures turn out. Also, the settings menu is hard to find and navigate when your using the app for the first time. The filter may be a little bit warm toned for my taste, but I totally understand that that is the vintage feel. All in all, this is a really great app that I have really enjoyed!

People have said this already but I agree. I would rate this five stars, I REALLY would, but if only there was a way to change filters then I’d absolutely LOVE to give this five stars. I do really like the app and maybe it’s just myself being picky but I think more options for like “different lenses” would be nice as long as it wasn’t overstepping the still vintage look or whatever. (What I mean is, sometimes filters get overwhelming or tiring to pick through so keeping the filters/“lenses” to a small amount would be nice if you guys happen to go that way with this app.) 😁✌️

Does NOT currently support iphone 11. I loved this app so much when I had my iphone 8. It makes my pictures unique with minimal effort and provides easy access to a different style/ feel for my pictures. I recently updated my phone to the 11 and when all my apps were brought over through back up, I was sadden to notice that Huji was not able to support my new device. Since then I’ve had to find other similar apps that are marketed as a “disposable camera”, but most fall short compared to Huji. I hope they update the app soon to support iphones 11 and up.
