OMG!!!. Just got this and haven’t figured it all out yet, but WOW!

Limited Features. I really wish there were a way to save a NAMED file to my mac. The only current option I see is to save it to the Apple Photos app with a predefined name. Saving your image in the folder of your choice seems like an essential feature that should be there. I should not have to do multiple steps to get one image to my chosen location.

Notanizer. I wrote a negative review and was contacted by someone who “fixed” the issue I had. I’m now giving a five star rating because of the exemplary customer service and the persistence displayed in solving the problem.

Finally. Its easy straightforward, works its fast elegant controls

Waste of $2. Almost any free photo or drawing app can do this — usually better. That’s why there is no try before you buy feature.

Useful tool for artists. I’m a painter and I use this app all the time. Super useful

Fantastic Tool. As a Lino block artist the NotanIzer is a wonderful tool to help analyze and understand lighting and shading.

Very Handy... Yes, there are other apps that can turn things to grayscale or levels of gray, but this is quick, easy and handy. You get phone, ipad, and Masc app all for noe low price. Good deal!

Color is just cheap thrills ...... Love this app! Makes duo-tone, tri-tone etc. great renditions for oil paintings.

Fantastic App a strong and useful tool to artist. I'm an art insturtor of adults in Colorado and have found this app to be indespencable in teaching values. It's simple to use and effortlessly comunicates visiually the most powerful tool in art, values. I use this tool almost daily. Bravo, to you, good people at Notanizer!

good app. really simple ui and did exactly as advertised. id say it’s a good investment, but you can definitely find free apps with b&w sliders if ur just looking for that

Good tool. Really handy for value studies on reference photos—being able to toggle between 2, 3, and 4 value ranges AND b&w rendition allows thorough analysis of shapes.

Easy to use, responsive dev. The UI is straightforward and makes adjusting the color levels very easy. Initially had a problem sharing the image through another app. The developer responded quickly through email and updated the program quickly to fix the issue. Very satisfied overall.

Absolutely a Great App for Artist. I love the fact that you can do things on a phone App that used to need the computer and Photoshop! I use it all the times to check my portraits!

Totally disappointing. Worked fine on my iPad Air for 30 days. Then one day it would not open. Such a rip off.

Wonderful. Simple and eye-opening. The only thing I wish to change would be to disable that terrible sound when you try to set levels too high or low.

Plan and analyze your paintings. Such a great tool for seeing shapes and values first. And for identifying why your painting is not coming across as exciting as your subject.

Update issues. I like this app a lot, I use it all the time to adjust the values in my paintings. Since the last update however I have lost the ability to export images. When I try to export the app crashes on my iPad. On my iPhone when I try to export the export to photos option just doesn’t come up. Please fix. My work around for now is to take a screen shot to save the adjusted image and just crop to the image itself.

Must have app. I’m an artist. Have been all my life. Recently I have started painting. I paint things that fuel my passion. If you paint Notanizer is a must have app. You can take any photo and let Notanizer do its thing and your imagination is endless. Give it a try.

notan nowork on mac. I downloaded to my mac and images would just come out white.

Total Rip Off. I can't believe I paid $1.99 for this horribly rudimentary, pointless app. This should be free for the first use and then charge people if they find a use for a slider that takes decent pictures from bad to unrecognizable. Maybe there is some use for this out in the world but for art and more specifically Notan, no. A resounding, definitive no.

Minimaliste et simple. Une belle application pour m’aider à mieux évaluer les différentes valeurs des couleurs dans une image, dans mon cas des personnages. Seulement quelques fonctions, très intuitive, et jusqu’à 10 valeurs de couleurs. Pour le prix c’est parfait!
