Used to be great.. My family and I have been using this app for years to share family photos. The addition of the constant intrusive ads is making it a very unpleasant experience and we are starting to look for other apps that will be less intrusive. Extremely disappointing. At least add an option for a reasonable paid version - its really ridiculous that you are asking $8-$12 per year - and not a one time purchase. You can’t add videos longer than a few seconds and there is no organization you offer - so why should I do this vs any of the other apps that are our there? Answer: I don’t have one.

PhotoCircle. This is probably the one of the most useful apps for group travel. I like that we can share pictures and not everyone has to pull out their cameras for the same shot (especially group photos); it’s private; you always know who took the picture so you can ask for the original; it doesn’t take up memory; can download as you see fit; it’s not on social media; and you can still label your photos! It’s easy!!! Been using for years!!

Amazing App!!! Highly recommend for all events!. I started using this app about a year ago when I traveled overseas with friends. We all uploaded our photos during our trip. It is fun to go back and look at our memories in one private album only we see. Since then, I have become a huge fan and use the app to privately share photos with me family living far away. We also used the app for our engagement party recently and will set up a PhotoCircle album for all our guests at our wedding. That way, everyone will get to upload the photos they take during our wedding and we will be able to see them instantly and capture photos all our guests took for a lifetime of memories. Love, love, love PhotoCircle! Update: We now share photos of our son with family and friends. We literally have his whole life documented in one album. PhotoCircle allows us to maintain privacy and control who sees our son’s photos. I love the new version of the app. Very modern and much faster. One minute long videos are amazing!

Frequent Ads are NOT Family Friendly. I’ve uses this app for years with my family and it had been really good to keep in touch. With the recent software changes though, it’s become terrible. It takes 7-10 seconds (at minimum) to to load each picture, with ads every few pictures. It takes forever to look at anything and when I leave a comment, it posts on the wrong picture. I looked at other reviews and saw the developers response that they are trying to change some of the glitches, which I can understand and be patient for, but what I find most frustrating is that the majority of the ads are promoting pornography and are NOT family friendly. The majority of the ads I have to swipe through post lewd pictures of women asking which I want to chat with live. If you’re looking for a family friendly app, this one is no longer it. Protect your family and look elsewhere for an app where you can share pictures and videos.

Connects us with family and friends!!. We love sharing our lives with family and friends with this app— its a great way to share photos from family vacations/travels/ baby pictures galore!! It’s the best app and we love how user friendly it is. I have had two nieces since using this app, and it’s such a great way to see them grow since we can’t be with them!! This app is amazing and perfect in many ways, and the customer support is so so good too. Very prompt and communicative.

Love the app!!!. I am the biggest ambassador for this app. I tell everyone! I bet I have over 300 circles. At every event, every vacation I make a circle for everyone to dump their pictures in. Such an awesome way to see other peoples pictures without having to say, will you send that to me? Thank you for this app it’s truly my number one favorite. I do have a question. I wish it had a search button that I could type in a search because I have a lot now and I have to scan down to find. Not a big deal but it would be easier. Thanks for this awesome app!!

I use to give it a 5!. I love photo circle! It makes it easy to share pics with your friends! I wish you could choose a pic for the front of the circle. Now... the bad news. I have had photo circle for 2 years now and I am 11 1/2 and this has never happened. They started to put ads in the app!!! Really is it that hard to just a an app without any ads?!?!?! Come on photo circle!!! Plus you can’t even x it out!!! Really?!? If these errors are fixed I will gladly change the stars to a 5, -Thank You!

Ads started showing up after 2 hours. Loved this app until the ads started showing up. Apparently there is no way to stop the ads unless I click on the annoying Ad Blocker ad that covers 2/3 of my screen when I open PhotoCircle and tells me to pay $40 a year to block ads only on Safari. It won’t go away unless I click on the ad to read it. No cancel option. It’s not like I can upgrade my PhotoCircle subscription to stop seeing the ads. PhotoCircle is supposed to be a free app. This is not what I expected.

Wonderful for Family Albums. Our family uses PhotoCircle to share pictures of the kids with all of the family - grandparents, aunts, and uncles! It’s a wonderful way to keep everything in one place and everyone can view, comment, and contribute. Dev Team - Love the update, but PLEASE bring back the ability to select from albums instead of the phone’s entire gallery. This was a feature I used every time and now I have to scroll through dozens of photos to find my selects (which I favorite and easily upload since they are in their own folder).

Chronological order, please!!. I'd like to echo the comments KML67 left a year requesting the photos appear according to the date they were taken, NOT the date they were uploaded (which is how it is now). Some of my albums are shared between 6 and 15 people and spanning photos taken over several months. Several people may upload bunches of photos at different times, from the same or different events. It's a hassle to sort through to find all the photos for a particular date and time. Much nicer browsing to have it chronological.

Missing feature!!. This app is great! However, it is missing a couple of features… you can’t mute a particular person. I get so many notifications that I don’t want to get from one person. You show also be able to mute a specific group, well you can’t do that. If that’s incorporated then it would make this app a 5 star review until then it’s not. Don’t get me wrong this app is amazing and for everything that it does and the ability to share with our loved ones and friends is a blessing! Please give us the ability to mute a group and individuals.

Love This!!!. I absolutely love this app! My Daughter-in-Law posts photos & videos of my grandson who live in Texas (I’m in Florida) and I receive an instant notification when she posts them on my phone. I click on the notification & it takes me to this app to view the new pics/videos where all of the pics/videos she has ever posted are located. She started her PhotoCircle when my grandson was born so I can go to the first pic and see when he was born to the most recent pic of him now (year old.) I can download the pics/videos on my phone or computer with just a click. Very simple and I am not good at using phones or computers. I’ve told so many people how nice this app is. It has been great for us to keep memories of my grandson. I highly recommend it!

Decent but could use improvement. As other have stated, this is a useful app because it allows multiple users to share photos and they remain with only those subscribers of that specific album. I’ve created multiple albums for different trips and get those choose who I share with. However, you cannot change the sorting of the photos. I think this is because the app destroys the metadata of the photos. Therefore the original date of creation or location info is not preserved. This also affects your own photo albums if you choose the download the photos to your phone’s phot album. The date of the photo becomes the date it was downloaded which I don’t see as useful to anyone. The frequency of the ads is obnoxious also. While I find PhotoCircle useful, I don’t use it as often anymore because of these issues.

The perfect photo sharing app. Don’t you hate it when you go to an event and you have to track everyone down afterwards for the pictures and videos of the night? This app fixes that. Make an album for the event, invite everyone who was there and you have an album with a collection of everyone’s photos and videos. You can even save the ones you want to your phone. This app also fixes the problem of having to share pictures of your new baby with grandparents and aunts and uncles. Just make an album and invite everyone. Add photos to the album instead of sending to each person. It’s perfect!

Really useful app but could use some fixes. Please please please fix the upload order so they upload in chronological order, make the photos sortable by the creator of an album, or enable sorting in different ways (e.g. sort by time, day, upload order, etc.)!!! Whenever I upload photos, sometimes groups of photos get split up from the same portion of a trip or event, and then I have to re-explain what it’s from/say sorry that it uploaded out of order! I would also appreciate more space for comments, but not as much as the picture uploading in the right order :) But other than that, it’s great, I’ve been using it to share photos from a trip with family and friends!! That way I don’t have to post everything on social media, but I can still share details with people!

Good for sharing only. My family and I have been using the ap to share photos for over 5 years now and really like it. My only complaint is that I can not easily download a large group of pictures or send the pictures to a third party directly to print or make photobooks. Having the ability to easily download or directly print these photos we’ve uploaded (1000s over these past 5 years) would be wonderful. Also, it’s quite hard to go back and look at older pictures. It would be nice if they were bundled by year. 😀

Continuous failures in uploading process and determining who sent what. It would be helpful if it was possible to see who sent which photos when tapping their circle at the top of the album. When sharing numerous photos, it's impossible to search every opened photo one by one to see who sent it. The app has been failing during upload the past few times I've tried to add photos to an invited album and when I start an album. I am told to retry each photo and I share over 100 at a time sometimes. I have to delete the album, close the app, restart and possibly do that process 2-3 times.

Useful app!. This is a nice app for groups to share photos of a common experience. I used it on a school trip with about twelve people as well as a personal journey with a friend, and it’s cool to get everyone’s perspectives on what they found to be photo-worthy. Also, it saves space on your personal device because after you upload your photos, you can delete them from your phone. Something lacking is the ability to sort photos. It would be nice to click on one person’s avatar and see just the photos they uploaded, and (what I really want) the ability to sort photos by date taken. That would be immensely helpful for locating specific photos and showing other people the details of the trip chronologically. Overall, a nice app that could use an improvement or two.

Great Sharing App. I work with a group that takes a lot of photos. They get very shuffled when people upload a large number of photos of more than one event. I wish that the app had a feature that allows users to put things into albums (such as events or subjects). Also, when I select “download all of the photos,”a I wish it would allow me to download the photos that I haven’t already downloaded. (Maybe there is a way to do this, but I haven’t figured out how to do it.). I realize that I can download them one by one, but that is quite tedious.

Great photo and video sharing app!. I love this app. It's easy to use and share photos and videos with friends and family. The small development team is great and really responsive in troubleshooting any bugs that arise. They were able to fix issues caused by ios updates after I emailed them. This is SO much better than big tech's toxic social media platforms. It is one of the apps I use most frequently. Keep doing what you are doing Photo Circle!

6+ Month User. I just read some reviews and my experience is that it opens quickly, the pictures are easy to see, and the advertising was not too intrusive. That said, after about three months, I did pay for it because I HATE ads. I figure if I pay for it, they may not add more advertising, and it will stay good for all. This is Wonderful way to share photos from multiple people - so far we’ve used it for: a vacation, funeral, another vacation, a graduation, and a family party. To developers: Keep it simple to reduce bugginess. FREE VERSION TIP: people pay for data and a video ads could be reason they remove your app PAID VERSION IDEA: If I could sort photos, and/or set a cover photo it would be even better ALL VERSIONS: don’t sacrifice the great product you have now for some thing flashy and DEFINITELY don’t put more advertising!

love this app. Our family has grown and we just had our first baby, but we don't want our child's face all over Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. This is our alternative!!! It really lets us capture the moments and share them with family & friends. UPDATE: Our family has used this app for over two years now. And we love it even more now with the video updates. We have documented over 6,000 pictures and videos of our family saved in one safe location.

eng. I use this app every day. My husband and I love it for sharing pics of our daughter w her grandparents, and for keeping in touch w groups of friends and family. It's also really fun for parties or for conferences—we used it for two years at Open Engagement and it was a great way to see what was going on at the sessions I missed. It was a lot more effective for that than a hashtag. It’s got a great interface, and it just makes sharing pics with a specific group of people SO MUCH EASIER! A superb app.

👍👍. A friend of mine recommended this to me. I was hesitated at first because low storage apps can be disappointing. My friend finally talked me into it. OMG it’s an amazing app for small storage. Especially not needing to pay for a subscription. Can add as many people as you want. Can edit your profile as much as you want for free. My only complaint is you have to post videos less then a minute on here. Please change that. I’d like to post longer videos so I’m not having to cut them in half. Wish there was a web version. I love photo circle because it’s given me an easy way to share all of my pictures I’ve taken with the groups of people I’m with and it allows them pick and choose which ones they want and makes for an easy process. I’m so thankful that my friend recommended it to me because it made things 100 times simpler. I just wish there was a web version because it would make transferring photos for big projects much easier. I know I am not the only one that has mentioned this before. I wish there was an online version because that would make it 100 times better.

I feel trapped. I’ve been using Photo circle for storing photos since I had my first child in 2014. So fun to share albums so family can watch my kids grow up. They started with ads a couple years ago and it was fine. Some swiping ads, a few five second ads. Now the ads requiring waiting and trying to exit FOUR times before you can actually get out of the ad. As soon as I have the time to transfer my photos somewhere else I will! I loved the app until the aggressive ads started taking more time to get out if then actually enjoying the photos I’ve saved here over the last 9 years.

Too Many Intrusive Ads. I use this app for organizations I am a part of! I love the convenience but I cannot get over how many ads pop up. I understand that ads are expected with the free version, but the frequency and placement of them is particularly inconvenient. Many video ads will pop up randomly, even if I’ve only had the app open for about 10 seconds. Then I have to wait so many seconds for the “X” to appear to be able to close it. I find myself getting frustrated and just not browsing photos that others post because of the amount of ads. Of course, ads are not going to disappear for the free version since I do not want to pay for the app, but it they could reduce the amount of intrusive ads that would make the app more enjoyable to use. I hate pop-up ads, especially when they cannot be closed right away. Possibly a rectangular ad banner at the very top or bottom of the screen would be more out of the way and allow for a more enjoyable app use experience.

The app needs fixing. I love this app and the concept. My fam and I use this all the time for every family event going on about 5 years now but the last couple years I don’t want to use it anymore because of the bugs and glitching. If I can’t view the photos and comments properly then what’s the point. Sometimes I upload one photo and t shows that it uploaded twice, sometimes I click a picture and what pops up is not even the picture that I clicked so clearly the photos must be out of order or I’m not seeing things the way they should be presented. And forget about reading the comments I usually have to scroll through each picture to see which pictures really do have comments. It’s an amazing concept but the app has some serious bugs and this is after the update 2 months ago.

PhotCircle - Not PC compatible. Recently added this app to my phone during a group trip. Works Fairly well on the iPhone - but can’t load it onto my PC, which makes it a pretty weak app considering you have to view all (several hundred) photos and (10 second max) videos on your phone or tablet, rather than a full size monitor associated with a PC setup. Also limited to forwarding only 1 photo at a time via text or email to friends who are not on the app or part of your photo circle group. A positively mediocre app- but OK, I guess, given its free. Would be worth a couple bucks to me to be able to download it to my PC…..

Great way to organize pictures. I love Photocircle for so many reasons! It keeps my pictures organized, I can share the album with whomever I want, I can have other (once part of Photocircle) people add pictures to my album to make sure I didn’t miss any pictures. This is great for parties or holiday celebrations! I can also download (save) their pictures to my camera roll. I also love the feature of adding comments. Also, the new video addition is perfect. We use Photocircle with grandparents so they don’t miss anything! Now grandparents can’t complain that they don’t know what our son is up to! We can add comments to explain what the picture/video is.

#photosstorage. I loved this app now that you can even load up your videos! I would load my photos to the app and then delete from my camera and I still have my photos in hand to share it to whoever wants to see it. I can also invite my friends who are in the photos to share our photos on the event that we did together. I also can even share to social media too. Beef you could do that and you could upload videos to the app. Now it’s very convenient. I don’t have to buy iCloud GB, and some people are complaining that’s it’s difficult to get to the iCloud. Loved this!!!

Wonderful!. I love this app and the ability to share photos with family and friends without putting them on social media. I would like to see PhotoCircle make a change and allow the creator of an album to grant admin abilities to other people, as the first album I was added to is for my daughter by a family member and I don’t have any control over who can and cannot view the album without contacting the person who created it. If adding multiple admins or allowing a creator to switch responsibility to a specific album to another person were an option, the app would be even that much better!!

New update is trash. I’m so annoyed by the newest update. Not only do I have half a dozen ads when trying to view photos, but some ads aren’t even able to be clicked out of once the ad is completed, I have to close out the app and start over. It’s not nearly as user friendly as it used to be and quite frankly as a user I get nothing in return for the now excessive amount of ads. No longer video uploads, no better notification management. Nothing. Just so many ads it feels like a virus. I have used this app and so have my family and friends for 4 years and while I’m not opposed to paying to remove ads, a yearly subscription to do so is obscene for the limited perks that this app provides. Actively looking for an alternative.

Nice app, BUT.... My family downloaded this app for our family vacation in Italy to share our pictures. Collectively, we literally downloaded 500+ pictures, when we could, into the daily albums we created on the app. When we got home I soon found out that the pictures can’t easily upload to the computer and that the only way they sorted into the albums on the app was date of upload, not taken time & date. The only way to get them to my computer was with save to phone/iCloud or airdropped ONE BY ONE, BUT the photo info was NOT the original date info of the picture, it was the download/airdrop date. 😳😞😣😠 This certainly messes up photo organization and adds egads of time TRYING to straighten it out. So much for making sharing photos simple.

Great way to share with family. Using this to share vacation photos with family. Love the commenting feature but it could be a little more user friendly for those of us that don’t use Facebook..I’m sure there’s a way to put identification on names but we haven’t figured it out yet. I also think only the person who started the circle should be able to invite people so that it stays private. Being able to move photos around for categories and labeling purposes would be good too.

Love the app but... This app has actually been amazing and beneficial for families that are states apart. I love that people we select to see the photos are able to interact with them and save them. The only problem I have with the app is that we wish there was a third category for people who use the app. That way you can choose if members can or can not post pictures. Hopefully there will be an update in the future for this kind of feature.

Limited, now has ads. The app feels kind of spammy with ads now. I understand the app is free but maybe they could monetize it better somehow. Our preschool uses PhotoCircle to send us photos of the kids all day while they are in class. They would probably pay a nominal fee to provide the best experience. The 10 second video limit is pretty disappointing. Please figure out how to host them affordably (store HEVC and HEIC?) and bump it up to a minute at least. Or just don’t support videos. Perhaps consider a way around the hosting cost dilemma - maybe videos can take a while to download and utilize peer to peer transfers kind of like BitTorrent. It’d work for the very busy circles I’m on. PhotoCircle would be a backup seeder.

Useful, but. PhotoCircle is very easy to use. It is also an easy way to share a photo story, or an adventure with your friends and family. One problem is that you cannot set one photo as the cover photo for an album. A second problem that I’m having with this app, is that you cannot modify the order of pictures, or add in a picture with in a group of already loaded pictures. While it is a minor pain if you’ve only loaded three or four pictures, then realize you need to add another picture before those three or four pictures, you can delete those three or four pictures. Then adding in the one you want, then reinstalling the previously deleted pictures. However, if you have 40 or 50 pictures installed downloaded uploaded, there ain’t no way I am going to delete those pictures, in order to upload one missing picture. Until this MINOR bug is fixed, I would give this app 3.5 stars. Once this is resolved, I will change to five stars

Love this app. We have created photo circles amongst my very numerous family member around the country of USA keeping us all in touch - each holiday season titled differently , weddings family additions , trips it's the most awesome way for a group of people to share photos without having to download all of everyone's photos. - love it 5 stars The only thing I wish the developer would create is a away to organize them after everyone adds their photos from a multiple day event into a circle it would be awesome to organize them all by the same times

Best photo sharing app!. My child’s teacher asked us all to download this app when we went on a spring break trip over to Italy, and I absolutely love it! Everybody can upload their pictures for everyone to share and see. Even parents that are not in the trip. Now we use it for vacations so everyone can see everyones memories. My only complaint would be photos are organized in the order they are put into the app, instead of the date they were taken so I can get a bit disorganized.

Photo share app of the year!. Excellent way to share photos and short videos. We went on a trip with a large group and everyone want to see everyone’s photos from the trip and this app was the perfect solution. There is a free version with ads as well as a paid version without ads. The app is very intuitive and easy to use as well. I wish there was a way to sort photos by date/time stamp. Overall a 5 star app.

Absolutely the best photo sharing app out there. Nothing else to be said, really. Easily the best photo/short video sharing app out there, especially if you’re wanting to keep viewership controlled. Great for sharing pictures of our kids and keeping it limited to close friends and family. Would love it if a “like/love” option on both pictures and comments were available. Sometimes it’s nice to let someone know that you’ve seen a comment/picture without actually having to type out a response.

Perfect way to share.. I've had Facebook and Instagram. Originally used those apps to share pictures with friends and family. But, before long I was "friends" with lots of people I really didn't want to share my pictures with. Most of the time, I just wanted the original small group of people to see what I posted. This app solves all the problems! No one can "search" me out and send a friend request. The only people in a circle are the people I invite in. I have several circles. All with different groups and all with clear boundaries and no crossing over. One with friends, one with immediate family, and one with the whole family. You can have a "work friends" circle etc.... Best of all no hurt feelings when you don't "friend" someone. Easy peasy. Best social media app ever! Thanks. Never change it!

Almost perfect, just one thing.. Photocircle is a really good app for sharing a lot of photos with a lot of people, and it’s a great place to dump a bunch of photos on an album. But the one problem I have with this is that there’s no option/tab to be able to sort stuff. I’m part of an album that has nearly 10,000 pictures/videos, and I’m a big fan of videos and would try to find some. But most of the 10,000 are just pictures, so I often spend a long time just scrolling through the album to find videos. If there was a tab or a way to filter out specific stuff, that would make this app perfect! But other than that, I would highly recommend this app to anyone else that might be on the fence about trying this app.

Very unprofessional customer support.. WARNING: if you plan to save more then 1k Photo files, avoid using this app. App does not have the capability to support large file exporting. Support team is very unknowledgeable about app. Was only able to provide solutions like “try connecting to WiFi” or “log in and log out” after those two “solutions” did not work the rep said I would have to wait until the next release of the app. When asked what other solutions they had in the interim, the response was “I don’t know what you mean. Why is this such a priority?” I guess customer support isn’t a priority? After then asking if we could be transferred to someone more knowledgeable about the app process or if they could recommend another app we could use. My account was disabled. VERY unprofessional. Which is a shame because I’ve been using the app for a few years now and have always recommended it to friends and colleagues. I have a team of over 40 employees who were all using the app and now we will have to find another app because of the unprofessional and unhelpful tech team.

Great app. I was searching for a photo app for an iPad I was sending to our elderly mother that would allow each family to send pics to her. The main thing was the app had to be simple to use and allow each family unit to have their own area to put their pictures so they stay organized by family. During my quest for a photo app, I tried many different app. This app won hands down. It’s simple to use so our elderly mother will use and will not feel intimidated and each family has their own album to put their picture into.

Amazing App. Absolutely amazing idea!!! Sending pictures across different devices used to lower quality, and with photocircle you don’t need to worry about that. Such an easy app to use and for a few ads (barely any and they’re really short) you get a backup storage like icloud for your photos. Instead of paying extra for more icloud space I’ve used photocircle and it’s helped tremendously.

AWESOME APP. love this app! We all use it at work. For every job that we have, we have pictures uploaded. so everyone can be up to date with the progress of the projects. One thing that would help 100% is if it had a search bar to help find a specific album, instead of scrolling forever trying to find it. Hope that feature could be added in the future, that would be the best.

Update ruined this app. I loved this app but ever since the update has come out I’ve had nothing but issues. I thought that if I paid for it it would fix the glitches, it does not. My biggest problem is that when I post pictures or videos, other people can see it in the album but I cannot. I am constantly asking my husband if they have uploaded and he sees it along with the comments and I do not. Another issue is that a photo will say there are comments but none are seen. I expect more from an app that I pay for.

Why Why Why. I'm just trying to see some photos from a family event. Now I'm forced again to provide contact information. Trying to get help finding the photos no FAQ section or help section, and can't contact support without turning on notifications. I get to many notifications to be bothered with some minor app I won't use beyond a day to bother so stuff this lot the app goes.

One improvement. Cool app - Would be great if you could do a group chat and individual chat. Because it would be a central place for all the people met at a festival etc. otherwise they are scattered over Insta fb etc. Thanks!

Buggy and lacking options. Freezes regularly, replicates photos after uploads fail, and has no options to sort photos at all

Best Party Trick ever. Using Photo circle for a 50th birthday celebration week gave all 45 attendees the chance to add their individual photos to the group so we all get to share the photos that have been taken.

Amazing app. Really great app to share different folders of photos with only selected people you choose to share with. Also lets everyone that is in the "circle" to contribute to the folder. Absolutely flawless!

The ads are really annoying.. It would be better if the ads were shown a different way.

Great photo sharing app. We use PhotoCircle to allow the whole family to follow our holiday adventures without blasting it all over social media. Works so well.

So easy to use and share pics. Was invited to join and use PhotoCircle and am happy I did. Is so easy to use, share pics, and post comments with a group of friends and family. I would highly recommend.

Great for sharing with family. We use this instead of Facebook. Why? Many reasons, mostly that Facebook is poo for privacy and this app isn't ... Yet. It does what we need it to do and it's fun to use.

Would NOT recommend. Maximum photo upload at a time is 100. Then processing/uploading for 10-20 minutes every time. I tried to upload my 1000+ traveling photos to an album. 100 at a time. It took 2-3 hours. However, only 1/4 of the photos have processed and uploaded onto the app. 2 weeks later and still the remaining 3/4 of the photos are “processing” or “loading” (loading ring in the corner) they are unable to view. Terrible bug. Deleting the app after this review. Waste of time.

Love it except.... The codes to join are annoying... sometimes adding people is tricky. Otherwise it’s an awesome way to create albums with big groups of ppl!

Great photo sharing app. You can also share short video clips. I highly recommend this app. They started displaying ads on the home screen which are annoying. I’d pay a one time upgrade on app if they offered the option. This is not a complaint. More of a suggestion. App developers should make money for the investment in time and other costs.

Too many ads. So frustrating! The audio part of the ads are difficult to shut off.

Gone downhill. Loved this app for years and used it daily with rarely an issue. I used to recommend it to people all the time. Since they updated it this year, it has been constantly glitchy. There’s about a one second delay for every action you take. I wouldn’t even mind the new barrage of ads so much if the rest of the app worked as well as it used to. My mom upgraded to the paid version to see if it worked better but it has the same delays. Super disappointed because this is the main way I kept in touch with family around the world but we are now much more hesitant to post anything because commenting and looking at multiple photos can be so cumbersome. Hopefully they will fix the glitches soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻 or we may need to look for a different platform. 😔

Better than photo stream. Been looking for an app like this ever since photo stream was announced. I assumed photo steam would allow all viewers to upload photos but it failed miserably in that aspect. Finally Photo Circle does what Apple's photo stream can't.

Misleading ad. Very first ad I saw in this app was a misleading spam ad, designed to look like an actual iPhone notification warning that my phone is almost out of storage (it’s not). No way am I going to subject my elderly relatives to potentially harmful ads so that they can see my baby’s photos.

Perfect Photo Sharing Option. We have opted out of using social media to share photos in such a public space so PhotoCircle has allowed us to share photos with only those we wish to share with. The photos don’t clog my text messages and are available for family and friends to download as they wish!

Nice UI, easy to share photos. Impressed by the ease of use of the mobile app. Having a companion desktop app would be awesome, as I do most of my photo taking with a DSLR, and have to transfer from my camera to my computer to my phone to the app. It would also be nice if I could create collections within a circle (I.e. baby 0-3 months, 3-6 months x 6-12 months, etc) to organize my photos rather than putting them all in one bucket, or creating multiple and inviting people to each “circle”.

Terrible ads and video functionality. This app used to be useable. It has always been worse than google photos, just use that, but now they added full page timed ads, and for some reason you can only post 10 second videos. In 2020 you can only post 10 second videos. That’s garbage and makes no sense. Also the ads are for trashy video chatting apps. Don’t need to see some teenage girl showing off her body to some creepy dude every time I’m trying to post photos of my children. I wish it was easier to migrate off this app. With some 2000 photos and videos on here it’s not super feasible.

Amazing photo share!. I absolutely love that I can be overseas, in a different state, or at my house and share my photos with loved ones! I also love that I can be at a game, race, or activity and all of us can share our photos to one folder! It saves me texting, and time trying to know who I had sent it to or not. Love this app!

Great for sharing vacation pictures.. This is an excellent app for sharing pictures for all occasions. I use it a lot when I go on vacation with a group of friends. We all like to take pictures and it gives us the opportunity to see something we might have missed. I just wish there was a way to filter the pictures by who took them or when they were taken, not just by when the picture was uploaded.

LOVE the PhotoCircle App!. I have over 20 photo circles that are shared with friends and families! The $7.99 annual fee is incredibly inexpensive, but you don’t have to subscribe to use PhotoCircle. Every once in a while, an ad will pop up where a photo would be, and you just slip past it. Because I love it so much I wanted to show my support in hopes that this app never goes away

Perfect way share photos. If your tired of hearing share the photos or open your airdrop. This app is perfect for sharing photos. Just created a album and share it. Once people upload images. You have the option to download everything or just a few photos. I recommend to everyone now.

Needs an option to filer/hide photos. We use the app for all of our girls trips, but it’s difficult to know which pics aren’t taken by me. If it had the option to select a group member’s photo to filter out (or hide) and view just the pics they posted it would be helpful to see which photos were posted by members other than yourself.

Great way to share memories!. Love PhotoCircle. I can download photos that others on the trip took. I can share photos and shirt video Roth whom I want instead of my whole social media network. I like categorizing them into special events or trips. Adding captions is a little labor intensive but adds to picture experience. Edit before posting as there is no editing feature.

Love seeing my grandkids. My wife and I have used PhotoCircle for many years. It has brought so much joy to our lives. We don’t get to see our grandkids often as they live across the country. This is such a great way to keep in touch. Much easier than Facebook, which I don’t enjoy using.

PhotoCircle.. Our family started using Photo Circle when the first grandchild was born. We did not want to put our pictures on Facebook. With PhotoCircle you invite family and friends into the circle and they are the only ones that can see your pictures. We have a circle for Vacations and holidays or any special occasion. I totally recommend PhotoCircle we love it.

Great app! Only a few suggestions.... This app made it so easy for the 8 of us on our family trip to share the 1000+ pictures we collectively took! The only thing that would make this better is an option to download all the photos except the ones you contributed to the album, that way you don’t end up with a bunch of doubles. It would also be cool if the app somehow recognized if a photo was already in the circle and not upload a duplicate.

Great Customer Service!. I love organizing and saving my photos in Photo Circle. So easy and convenient! When my iPad would not let me access the app anymore, I emailed Customer Service. Doug was so great! He worked with me patiently and was very kind through the whole experience! He helped me reinstall the app and now I can access my grandkids’ photos again! Thanks so much!

Photo organization and sorting. It would be a great enhancement to give the PhotoCircle owner the ability to sort the pictures and videos by time stamp. If a group does a week long trip and gets a lot of pictures, but then everyone randomly adds pictures when they have time, then the pictures are greatly out of order. This should be an easy this to add (unless it already exists).

Love this app!. This app is awesome! You can set up different circles for your different groups I have a family group and a group for my girlfriends and even one for my bees. I love that you can comment on pictures. I don’t have to scroll through ads or people’s pictures that I really don’t want to see, like some social media sights. Sorry not sorry. It’s easy and quick. Great way to share pictures.

Greatest photo app for weddings!!!. We had all of our guests at our wedding download this app before the wedding and it was AMAZING how many photos we had added from all of guests! Over 700!!! Best app EVER! We didn't get very many from our hired photographer so being able to get so many different shots from our guests was a lifesaver!!! We highly recommend this app for your wedding or any event to share photos!!!

FANTASTC. Awesome APP! Love this APP!!! So easy to share photos from anyone that is taking them that is a member of the circle, and so easy to become a member!!! Enjoy using it except for the fact that sometimes when I’m loading pictures it has a mind of its own and doesn’t load in the order in which I put them. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Also, videos don’t last long enough. 😕

Needs ability to download full-res pics. Great app… Jane been looking for an app like this for a long time! Only missing one keep feature (which could even be a paid feature) would be the ability to upload and then download full-resolution photos and videos. Add this feature and I’ll be the first to upgrade!

Best Photo Sharing App Ever!. I searched and searched for an app that would allow me to share photos from school and sports events without degrading the quality of the photos and videos and finally found the perfect one - PhotoCircle! PhotoCircle is the BEST app! It also allows others to easily share theirs with you. It’s simple to use. I’ve gotten other parents hooked on PhotoCircle, too!

Easy and fun way to share photos. I wanted something that wasn’t Facebook or Instagram or Google. I’m a member of one phone tribe and I have family that belong to another. I was tired of texting and emailing photos separately to everyone. This app was the answer! Easy, private as can be when in web space and we can check in at our convenience. Do it!

So Simple!. I have used this app since 2017. It makes it so simple to share photos from events, travel, and gatherings. PhotoCircle is easy to use, both to share photos and save photos. My family and friends are scattered throughout the world. The technology allows us share moments with one another PRIVATELY.

Great Tech Support. I had a problem loading PhotoCircle after it had been working for a few weeks. The tech support person and I went back and forth for around 90 minutes. They figured out that my VPN, even though it was disabled, was blocking me from accessing the app. Thank you for sticking with me and I apologize for getting a little testy 😞

Cool app. My husband and I have been using this app to send photos of our kids to family and friends. Absolutely fantastic app for grandparents! Creating a new "circle" is easy (and dare I say, fun?) - you just put your phones near each other and boom - it's done! Can also add people using a pin if they aren't nearby. I'm not a big app person, but I've found myself using this one all the time. Really well done.

Missing a necessary feature. The most useful feature of a photo sharing app is being able to save pictures easily. In order to save individual pictures you have to share and then save. This makes it very tedious to save pictures you want. I would highly recommend the developers add a feature to the app to save individual pictures easily (by tapping and holding). Otherwise this app makes it very easy to share lots of pictures with friends.

Great what to share. Ever sense I found out about this app I use It for each play I’ve been in. It’s an easy way to share photos with everyone. It can have lots a people to going one section and add photos. The photos don’t distort at all. If you have an up coming activity I would use this app to share photos.

Love this app but.... With the latest update it only allows you to select up to 15 pictures at a time. As someone who takes pictures to share with multiple groups of people being able to select hundreds at a time to upload it honestly the best option. Only being able to select 15 means you have to actively remember where you left off and try not to deselect the same pictures again and again. 😑 please fix this feature.

reduces size of photos. I really love everything about this app, it’s great for sharing photos for my sorority, except for 2 large issues: 1. The app SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the size of images, from 12MP and 4032 x 3024 to 3MP and 2048 x 1536. I understand apple makes live photos heic and photo circle downloads as jpeg, but I still would prefer to not have so much quality loss. 2. You cannot select multiple photos and save them—it’s either one at a time or all of them.

Connecting With People Everyday. This app is great! I would recommend this app to anybody. It’s a great way to connect and share special moments with special people. Friends, family, etc. Super easy to use. One thing that should change is that the video duration only allows one minute, which I think should change but besides that, this app is great.

Isolation medicine. This app is the best thing that was available to me during the Covid 19 pandemic. My first great-grandchild was born just before the country went into lockdown. I got to see/hold him twice while he was still in the hospital and not since then. His parents were so good about posting daily pictures. I called it my “isolation medicine”. Because of PhotoCircle, I got to see him literally grow from newborn to 4 mos. old. Love this app !!!!

Picture Sequence Stinks. I do really like the app, but when I’m showing people pictures of my trip, the images are not in order. The app doesn’t allow the user to rearrange the photos. I would take the time to manipulate them and put them in order, but that’s not an option. Please Fix.

Search Option. Need an option that enables to search your albums. I have been a photo circle member since 2014 and have accumulated a huge amount of albums and it becomes very difficult to find a specific one when needed. Another option may be the ability to organize albums.

Photo Circle Review. I have multiple family members that I share daily, weekly, and monthly pictures with. This is a great way to share these special moments with them and very easy to use …Love that other family members attending the same function can upload their photos as well !! Love this app!!

Love the app but... This app has actually been amazing and beneficial for families that are states apart. I love that people we select to see the photos are able to interact with them and save them. The only problem I have with the app is that we wish there was a third category for people who use the app. That way you can choose if members can or can not post pictures. Hopefully there will be an update in the future for this kind of feature.

easy and functional. this is my favorite method of sharing photos. you can see which photos in your camera roll you’ve already uploaded. it’s pretty quick. my grandmother can use it. it is SO easy to share with any number of people and you can see which photos you’ve already viewed in the photo circle. it’s great

Phamily Photo Philanthropy. This is a unique and simple way to share photos amongst a group that is vacationing together. It also allows to share with those who couldn’t be there. When videos were recently added to the app, it allowed for another level of collecting memories and sharing them. Well done app team.

Great way to share photos with family & friends!. You make a special photo group almost instantly! What I like also, The people that are invited to the group can also add their photos they took during the event! And you can add many pictures it’s great! Sometimes they let us go over 100 in a group and that is really extra great!!!

Best photo app out there. If you’re looking for a way to share photos with a group of friends without all the social media crap, this is the one. It’s ultra-fast, simple, and effective. I used it recently to share photos while on a vacation with a large group of friends. It handled our hundreds of photos with ease and was used by all with minimal fuss.

Love this app only wish I could change one thing. This app is great! We share all our family photos on here. The only thing I wish for is to be able to turn off content notifications. I would like to be notified when new photos are posted, but I really don’t need a notification for every comment.

Photo Circle. Very useful for sharing, except there’s a BIG problem when you want to find a specific picture. You can locate by scrolling, but when you touch the picture you want, some other picture comes up and you have to scroll again! There MUST be a way to choose the picture you want without difficulty...

Need ..... Ok I have a few things I’d like to list that this developer and app needs. 1) there isn’t a way on your developer website to submit a request and this may be helpful to have. 2) you should include the “like” feature in your app as not a lot of people would leave comments and this would be super helpful to those of us who have grandparents. Liking a photo or video would be easier on them. 3) you should also have your videos go up to 30 seconds or even a minute {similar to the Cluster photo app}. There’s not a whole lot that can be shared with 10 seconds. 4) the Tripcast app (by Cluster Labs), it would be great if there was a way to tag a map location of trips. 5) by considering these proposed changes, if you had to add a dollar amount to the app to say $4.99 or whatever seems reasonable, I would not be opposed to it. You have a great app just needs some tweaking. 4)

Bad changes. The PhotoCircle app was amazing. The changes that were just made with the new update need to be fixed. The comments should show up at the bottom with our having to click the comment bubble. Also way are they on the left side when most people are right handed. The fact that there are now ads longer than the video clips is frustrating. 30 sec add for a 10 second video.

Works well but phone only, unclear pricing. Works well on a phone, but kind of a bait-and-switch in that you can’t download to a hard drive without a premium subscription. It is also very unclear what the price is to allow you to download on a laptop. I would still give it 5 stars even if I had to pay for downloading, if the information on price etc were clear and up front. I do like that it’s an alternative to Meta.

Share memories. Photo circle is an easy to use app that allows everyone on the trip to share photos. Family and friends that you invite can see your pictures as you add them. Photo circle also allows you to download picture that you like. Terrific easy to use app.

Loved by the entire extended family. We started using PhotoCircle the night our twins were born to share and have over 10,000 photos posted 2 1/2 years later. We LOVE this app! Not only do we use it to privately share photos of the kids (I’m don’t like to post on FB or Instagram) but we start a new album every trip or major event and have built a virtual photo album of cherished memories. Can’t recommend this app enough.

You made it worse!. I originally was able to save a single picture from a photo circle album to my phone but you changed it to having to download every picture in the album! This is a big time bummer wen you have over 200 pics in an album and only want to save 5 or 6 :-(

Used to love PhotoCircle. I have used this for over three years. Absolutely love it but now since the new update I am no longer able to access my phones albums when trying to upload photos into the app. This makes it very difficult because I have a lot of photos but only specific photos uploaded into photo circle. Before the update I was able to select an album on my phone and upload from there. Please revert back to this to make it easier.

Love this app. I invite all my friends to join when we do a trip so that we can share photos easily. It’s so convenient and super easy. This way we don’t have to send them to each other later. It’s the best since I love having memories of our adventures and seeing what pictures they took. I also make files to organize my pictures for easy reference (aka recipes or workouts.)

Private and free. I love this app because it’s one of the best free apps that still allows you to share things privately with your family. There’s no influencers or algorithmic feed, just the content you share with others. The new design is a lot more clean and modern, and finally video uploads can be long too 😄

GREAT APP!!. I’ve used this app for YEARS!!! I think ever since 2014 and I love this app, I was able to save photos in there from my old phone and saves them on my new phone. I travel so much and my friends and I were able to share photos in oNE album. Super helpful and I love it so much! I haven’t had any problem with it over years.

Family Favorite!!!. We love this!!!! Really. After a birthday party or weekend together it so great to be able to put all of our photos in one spot no sending them to each other or trying to make sure we all got them. BUT the best part is laughing and commenting together about moments that took place even tough we are miles apart. ❤️ Can’t recommend this app highly enough!
