UnitedHealthcare Comments & Reviews 2026

This app went backwards and deleted claims payment link. Up until they updated the app within the last month or two, if you had an HSA or a flex plan, you could pay directly from the app with your plan in 2-3 clicks. This recent update deleted that capability and made you pay via the main website. (Ok, I thought, not as convenient, but not a big deal.) Well, this meant several long verification sessions and finally took me to an independent payment site where there is no option of linked payment accounts, and worse yet, they require you to find the routing and account numbers, (and not even pay with a debit/credit card) which you cannot find the Optum Bank account numbers through the app, nor download a statement with the account numbers through the app. I finally gave up with UHC and said, “Skip this, I’m going to my hospital app.” (Which let me pay with my HSA debit card and payment completed). So UHC, your updated app stinks. Please bring back linked payment capability to make easy payments from the app. Must be your app developer took a vacation from his brain when he updated the app.

ABSOLUTE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY!!!!. UHC should not be in business!! They hire the most incompetent people in a profession that requires serious attention to detail! My appointments were run through as my husband’s. I talked to at least 4 different people about this and they don’t correct it after insisting it will be handled. I talked to a supervisor (after 4 different calls to verify in-network doctors) and she insisted a doctor was in network just like my mobile app indicated he’s in network, only to be told by the doctor’s biller that he is definitely NOT in network for my plan, but for a different UHC plan. When I talk to the UHC “customer service agents” they ask me to provide phone numbers and addresses for the doctors. I tell them it’s right there in the mobile app program! “Oh, you’re right!” They exclaim in surprise. They had me listed with a Primary Care Physician I never heard of and assured me they will fix it right away, but to date it still hasn’t been fixed. The supervisor today assured me she could fix it then says she can’t figure it out! Absolutely THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER!!! Their app doesn’t work, they have doctors listed in network when you sign in under your plan but those doctors are NOT in network. Ask one question and you’ll get 10 varied answers, none of the correct. HORRIBLE!!! DON’T USE UNITED HEALTHCARE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!!

Bait and switch designed not to work. I ONLY downloaded this app after learning about the Earn It Off reward program that purports to provide you an Apple Watch which you can ultimately get for free/heavily discounted if you complete certain goals (daily steps, getting a physical, going paperless, etc.). UHC sent an email out advertising the program, which sounded great. However, when I went to actually take advantage of the offer, it did not allow me to enter in an email address, stating that the email address on file would be used. Again, there is NO way to enter an email address while entering in your info to get the app - the app won't let you. Then, after submitting all my info - whoops, error message! You need to enter an email address to take advantage of the offer! But we won't let you do it! Hah! This app appears to be bait and switch to get you to sign up for the rewards program without allowing you to take advantage of the program. And the customer service experience on the phone is poor. "Oh, it'll take 10 business days to get back to you...and no there's no other way to order the watch." Ridiculous.

Unfair usages. I’m disappointed in this card program because everyone who has ever been on United healthcare knows that the blue card was the best and now this Ucard it’s okay but Not great either, I understand if some patients want to use it to pay there bills with it that’s fine but others who need to get groceries and pain medication rely on this card and to purchase all inconstance products can’t get any of them or most of the products like feminine spray, underwear in any manufacturer and I know i tried to get the assurance underwear and it says “”item not in catalog yet””, it was 5 months ago why do y’all change items at your discretion STOP DOING THAT THIS IS OUR MONEY NOT YOURS I Don’t care who told you that lie but Stop making excuses for everything and let the patients who own this card decide for themselves!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯💯💯💯 God bless you

Liked the UHC Motion app way more. I do not care for the new reward app. Before with motion it was really about hitting goals for walking more in 3 ways throughout the day . Getting up and walking so many steps in a few minutes several times a day, walking over 10k daily and walking quickly 30 minutes a day. That is really encouraging people to move more. Now with rewards you get a little $ for 5k and a little more for 10k. That’s it as far as physical activity. Instead you get money from attaching your device and filling out a health survey, which requires no effort other than tapping a screen and is just a way for the insurance company to get information about people’s health, probably for future insurance limitations. The reward program certainly doesn’t encourage anyone to be more physically active, 5-10k is minimal and doesn’t require the effort of moving multiple times a day or walking quickly. Looks like it is more about insurance information gathering than really encouraging healthy habits. Just very disappointing. Also, it is not syncing well.

First time user deeply unsatisfied. I called the agent early last week to set up an appointment. This was my first time trying to use my benefits. Fortunately, I’ve been healthy for almost the last two years. I called and receive help with finding a provider and to make an appointment. At the time I called the agent I was very busy and didn’t have time to write down my appointment in my providers name but the helper insured me that I will receive a text message and notification of my appointment and the time that I needed to be there. Now it’s time for my appointment. I remember the day, but not the time, and I was looking for to having the app to remind me of the time and place I needed to go. Unfortunately this did not happen and I try to use the app to receive confirmation, no help there. I’ll call my agent no help. and for this reason, I am a first time user that is deeply disappointment.

Changed without warning. I downloaded this app about a year ago. As far as the app itself is concerned, I was pleased with it. I didn’t need it for a while until today; when I tried to log in to resolve an insurance mixup, I was denied entry. After spending some time checking my email and password, I came to the App Store to see if I could get some info here. That’s when I learned that some time during the interim the UHC app was no longer usable by AARP Medicare Advantage/UHC customers. I will be deleting this app - why should I keep something I can’t use? - and I understand UHC has the right to simplify things on their end, but it would have been nice to have received some warning of the change BEFORE I had to use it. The app itself gets five stars; the lack of communication dropped it to three.

Prescription medication approval. This is the second time a get a prescription from a doctor and it is an excluded one by my insurance. I called to get an alternative drug for my son who is in severe pain and the optimum rep told me that an alternative was available but I needed to get prescribed by my doctor AGAIN. Which translates to another doctor visit with another copay for another day. meanwhile, my son has to endure the pain much longer. I am Very and I mean VERY dissatisfied and disappointed with my service so far with this new insurance. I wish there was a simpler system were I could check while in visit if medication was a non-excluded one before I left my visit. I cannot be on the phone for over an hour with first the pharmacy and then the optimum rep while my doctor awaits for a response . I feel that I will be a member for just this year because of the service.

Getting better. I must say UHC is getting better. From the original app to present is better 100-fold; however, a couple things I would still like to see. Please give us a four digit login pin. Having to enter a password every time is taxing. At least you allow password saving (yessss!). Now, using the scanner is far faster! New app is nowhere near as clunky as the old one. Yay! I like that it doesn’t log out automatically now also. I would like to see the scanner feature work a little smoother. Can you get it a little more seamless? Perhaps, can we get a back button or have continuous scanning? Thank you, developers for your tireless thankless labor.

DO NOT PAY CLAIMS WITH APP!!!. I thought it was super convenient that you could pay your copay/medical bills through this app with just a couple taps. How cool! The transaction shows up on my bank account in seconds! Incredible day and age we live in to pay medical claims instantly over an app! N O P E!!!!!!!!!!! When you tap “pay” on a medical claim and put in your credit/debit/backlog account info, all your money is going straight to United Healthcare, NOT TO THE MEDICAL PROVIDER YOU ARE TRYING TO PAY!!!! Ya know what UHC then does with your money? Writes out a PAPER CHECK and MAILS IT WITH USPS to your medical provider. I paid a claim like this on August 7th with UHC, then 2 weeks later got a call from collections for my medical provider saying I was OVERDUE!!!!! Took me an hour on the phone with UHC support to figure out OH, UHC CAN TAKE MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY, BUT SENDS IT TO THE DESIGNATED RECIPIENT VIA SNAIL MAIL. Disgraceful. Embarrassing. Pitiful excuse for an app/company.

Convenient, easy-to-use and useful. The app allows you to view claims your providers have submitted to the insurer. Some of the claims are eye opening and will surprise you - such as how many claims a single visit might entail. You have the opportunity to mark-off which ones have been paid to assist the insurer to track whether your deductible has been reached. The app also allows you to quickly check which providers are in-network. Prescriptions on OptumRx are managed on a separate app. You can also save the contacts of your regular doctors for easy reference. It will also prompt you to look after your health by getting your blood pressure taken, getting a lipid panel or getting a flu shot. However, you do not put anything personal into the app. It does not collect your health data, so that’s good from a privacy perspective, but if that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll need another app.

Prescription payment method update. Calling United healthcare, Medicare, RX for an update to the payment method for our co-pay for prescription drugs was painful. The United healthcare advocate had limited English skills and a headphone that either had a broken cord or faulty Mike. On the second try (after having been on hold for 35 minutes the first time), the United healthcare advocate was finally able to transfer us to a an optimum RX advocate. That advocate was a refreshing change in that her English skills were fully legible understandable, and she was able to take the new credit card number and update the account pleasantly, and with minimum fuss. I would give the optimum representative, five stars, and the two stars goes to the Medicare RX advocate. It might be worthwhile for United healthcare to consider allowing optimum RX to have their own direct website to handle these issues to avoid pain points for their customer calling United healthcare directly.

Receipts. I do like the barcode scanner. This allows me to be able to check it before I get to the check Stan to see if it's covered. A lot of times I don't have the cash or money to purchase something. So this will give me a heads up. I would also like it if I could look at my receipt and know which items were covered by my UHC card so when making a grocery list of items needed I can get familiar with the things that are covered and not covered based on my receipt. This has been my goal for the last year is to try to figure out how I can tell whether or not it was paid by UHC by looking at my receipt.

Great App. The only complaint I have is; I can’t reach someone on the phone to correct the mistakes on diagnosing what the doctor put in notes. They are listed incorrectly! No one wants to answer the phone number listed on here & if someone does happen to answer, they’re foreigners and they don’t understand what I’m conveying. It’s quite annoying! I’d like to have the correct information on here but instead it shows I’ve been diagnosed incorrectly. When the doctor wants to rule something out by me getting blood panel done, it automatically puts that as a diagnosis when in reality it wasn’t. Therefore, this needs to be corrected!

Great app until…. I really like the app to see my spending and help keep track of benefits. The problem is when you reach out for support through phone or chat it’s awful. I’m dealing with dental claims for my children. There are so many loopholes to get out of paying it is ridiculous. This is for cleaning and X-rays. My poor dentist office has been doing their best to help with this but they are frustrated and have not had to deal with this issue from other plans. They will not pay on my daughter’s cleaning because she is 12 1/2 and requires adult cleaning(she has no baby teeth left) but they will only pay if she’s 13. The refused to pay the dentist for even the child cleaning price. My son had x-rays and will only cover one side because you can’t bill for 2 sides on the same appointment. Omg you can’t make this up. If your considering this company for dental insurance beware. They also quit speaking to me on the phone (I was not using foul language just frustrated) and would let me take the survey the offered in the beginning and I can no longer reach out to them on the app lol. I feel like I’m back in high school!!!

App doesn’t work since last update. After the last update in July the app doesn’t work anymore on iPhone 14 Pro. Trying to sign in it says you can’t use Face ID without logging in first and when you try to go to the log in screen it just comes up with an error. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it is the same. Same problem when downloading and attempting to log in on both my wife(iPhone 12 Pro) and my daughters(iPhone 11) phones. Update: Went to take a screenshot of the error to send to Customer Support and of course suddenly the app loads right up and signs in. 😑 Why you make me look like a fool technology?

Choosing a pcp.. I received a list of doctors to choose as my primary care physician and the list I was given showed that their office was accepting new patients. I did not see the doctor for a year and half so recently I tried to make an appointment and I was told they were no longer accepting new patients. I had a difficult time finding someone that would accept patients. This was after calling and talking with united healthcare representatives who gave me information that wasn’t right one number I got was a resident care facility. Please update your list to save others the problems I encountered.

Frustration. I don’t like ordering on the internet. Twice I’ve just about finished my order and it logs me out. It’s the last day of the month so I can’t order tomorrow when I can speak to someone and give them my order. I also don’t like that so many things that are in your paper catalog are not found when I try to order them. It’s been very frustrating to try to order this way. I guess I’ll just have to miss out on the items I could have had. That also means my husband will not be getting anything on his order either since I usually order for him. Also when I try to check out it tells me I have the wrong address but it’s correct I missed out on the first quarter because we were at our winter home and wouldn’t have anyone here to pick the order up. As you can probably tell, I am upset and frustrated.

Review. I’m on Medicare I pay for you guys as a back up plan however you say it so when I try to search your site for a doctor it links me to Medicare. I did not see an app for Medicare and Medicare is hard to look up doctors, which is Medicare‘s fault I know, but you work with Medicare, so I would think this would be easier to find a doctor. I have insomnia. So my doctor mentioned a sleep specialist. well, your site and Medicare site will not let me find a doctor listed. There isn’t such a doctor or there is not a doctor of sleep medicine I guess I’ll have to wait and talk to my doctor. I have to remember a lot more to talk to him about. I thought he was gonna make me an appointment and then call me back, but I have to go back to him sooner than I was so now I gotta talk about all this all over again. I am just trying to figure out my sleep problem.

Best experience I’ve had healthcare apps!. I will say that I have been very impressed this app. I have had BCBC and Cigna’s apps, and by far UHC has been the most functional and user friendly for me! I have only been using it since September 2019 when my benefits switched. All I can say is I never missed a beat and have not had to call UHC for anything to date! For me this alone has me smiling! I give it 5 stars, but I am great at updating my reviews if and when my experience or thoughts change! Keep it operating properly and don’t try to improve or change it if it’s not broken. Too many companies do this and someone needs to say enough at times! When ease turns to frustration say good bye to things that affect your bottom line!!

It helps me to pay groceries. I need all the help I can get to pay down grocery bills with all the prices going up substantially. There are a couple of grocery stores very close to home. The first one is Publix. The second one is Sprouts, and the last one is Aldi’s. Walmart is not close to home. It’s a drive and always packed with people. I’ve been to other Walmart and the one on Semoran Boulevard in Castleberry is not the cleanest Walmart I’ve been to. The Aldi’s Grocery is really the best retailer in town because their prices are substantially stable, they have a lot of organic meats that are “not overpriced” compared to Publix, and lately they have been incorporating name brand products, which I prefer over generic, however, they do not take the Uhc rewards card. I would never go to Sprouts, because it’s 3 times overpriced. I’ve been to Winn-Dixie, but it is far from home to get to. It is a clean store. Please put Aldi’s grocery store on your list of UHC stores to use. Thank you.

Dental. I went to affordable dentures in Clarksville Tennessee to get my dentures replaced. They were so rude and she made a comment if you want to refund just ask for it and I did and I never received my dentures from that dentist and I got my $375 backsent back to my bank cause I paid with a debit card and they were never supposed be paid the $1250 that you people paid them in September why I contacted UnitedHealthcare and their office and United healthcare spoke to the representative there so why did you pay them $1250 in September when you knew I was not going to return there and my dentures were not completed in July. He spoke to the office manager and her name is Deborah Well representative from United healthcare did and now that that dentist has $1250 of my money and I never received the dentures. There’s a problem here the representative won’t even discuss it he says that I have to call the dentist and ask for my money back why you should have never paid it.

Prescription refills.. I’m a new customer and I have to say so far I’m not impressed with the service I have received. The first problem was with the initial sight up person I spoke with in which I was told everything was good to go but another day I had to complete the application with payment information and complete my paperwork. I would not have ever received any medications had I not followed up on my application. I don’t hear very well and when I’m directed to speak with a foreign country it makes my experience worse. I would appreciate communicating with a person speaking English well. I have used another pharmacy for several years and if my prescriptions are not filled correctly and on time I will definitely change back to that pharmacy. Sincerely,

First time user. I used the UHC APP to check on my claims. I have been to the hospital due to COVID19 and was very ill so I just want to make sure that all the Dr’s (heroes for me) that took care of me get paid. When checking the claims see the pulmonologist & ambulance didn’t get paid. Right on the app have choices to take care the claims , for me I like to speak with someone not a machine so you can request a call right away or you have the choice for UHC to call you back. That is a nice figure to have I tried out, requested a representative spoke with then and got both of the claims fix. I recommend the UHC app. Thanks you

Still needs debugged. Interested in the step activity for rewards I am very disappointed it does NOT work. Specifically, when entering info for my activity tracker, a Fitbit, the app does NOTHING but sit and spin. It never finds my Fitbit, continues to just spin and won’t stop unless I cancel or quit the app. My Fitbit is on my wrist, the Fitbit app is on the same iPhone, and ……….. nothing. Being teased with rewards then not connecting is disappointing. Oh, and the “Manual” mode? Funny how the date is always 8-10 days away into the future before being allowed to enter. Wait for the 8-10 days, right? Oops, now it’s another 8-10 days. Pffft. Other than that the app is very slow to track past medical appointments, but does OK for prescriptions.

Fine Until They Updated it.. When I first used the app in March it worked fine but since the update it’s in a constant state of failure. It freezes, crashes and simply doesn’t work constantly. Due to some error with me having two different insurance policies I wasn’t actually able to log in to my account for months after the update. Even more frustrating was before the update, their behavioral health section was actually much easier to navigate and more robust then my previous insurance, Anthems. Now they’ve changed the way BH is organized and you can no longer search by profession only the vague BH issues anxiety, family issues and substance abuse (you can do a blanket search for any profession but the app crashes so much when I try this it might as well not be an option). This leads to not being able to find therapists, psychologists or psychiatrists who are covered. They seem to list nurse practitioners first and foremost, and while they can be great for medication management they are not a one to one replacement for all mental health services . Even more frustrating they removed all crisis information, beyond a number, such as in patient facilities so good luck if you or your loved one has one.

Excellent care provided to me!. All I can say is that since joining up with y’all I have received and been provided the most positive and utmost of care by EVERYONE whom has come into contact with me! Be it a doctor, nurse, ( which you kinda hope to get the highest level of care from ) but to the folks cleaning the rooms, bringing meals, and changing the trash in the rooms. There has never been an instance where ANY hospital employee hasn’t exemplified the Upmost of care or concern towards myself or my issues! To my hospitalization that matters most to my stay, departure as well as spreading to word to friends and family that my be needing y’all’s help. There is No where else I would want to go also no where else I would advise Anyone to go knowing they are in need of medical assistance! Don’t get No better than Y’all!

Terrible glitchy app. Searching for a healthcare provider using this app is a nightmare. Good luck searching for a specific provider. Is it under doctors, Specialists, facilities? Who knows! And good luck to you trying to figure it out. Not as simple as just entering a search term and seeing what results match your inquiry like a normal search engine with other insurance companies. To top it off, once you find a list of potential providers, make sure you go through them quickly before the app decides to log you out and you have to sign in and start over halfway through your review. But, that also depends if the app decides to let you log in at all. Depending on its mood it may log you in or it may tell you that your record wasn’t found, despite using FaceID linked to the same password that’s always worked for you. But worst of all, I was able to save a list of all my health providers for easy reference which you’d think is great. Well, that is until the app decided to one day delete all my saved providers so that I had to look for them all over again using their terrible search engine and save them again. Who knows how long they’ll last in my Saved bucket this time. I hate this app so much I have basically just resigned myself to using the desktop version.

Absolutely, THE BEST.... I have never been so happy with a customer service representative then I have been with the ones I have spoken to here at United healthcare. It's hard for me to believe that every single time I call, the representative is kind polite patient and most of all doesn't talk to me like I'm a 4-year-old. They treat me like I am their beloved mother like I am part of this giant family and I am the most important person to them every single time I call. It's just absolutely amazing and I always walk away from the conversation. happy to United healthcare for finding such wonderful representatives. And the plan that I have works perfect for me. I cannot tell you how happy I am with United healthcare because there are no words that would ever describe the glow I have after each phone call. Thank you UHC, 💕👍🏽🙏🏾🙏🏾👍🏽🩷💕

I can’t wait for socialized medicine.. I have had chronic back pain that has caused me to be on light duty at my job as a firefighter. I have had this issue for over one year and UHC has repeatedly denied the MRI appointment my doctor and a specialist referred me to. After weeks of Co-pays for precursor PT appointments and Doctors visits to qualify for an MRI I was again denied. A UHC procedure review panel doctor stated it was not required. I had to call repeatedly to get through to there claims department to get approval for the MRI. After co-pays time out of work and time and travel expenses it would have been much less to pay out of pocket. To top it off the corticosteroid injections needed after MRI were not covered by insurance. Keep up the good work UHC!

Very convenient. I love that all my information is at my fingertips including my HSA balance. Very easy to add your doctors that are in network. However I find it annoying that I could not add an out of network physician as my GP. My GP is a PAC, I honestly have never even met the doctor listed on my scripts (who happens to be in-network). I think a seamless integration with MyChart and GoodRX should be something the developers should look into for a one stop shop with appointment scheduling, test results, and medication cost options. As it is now, the user interface is clean and easy to navigate without more than a couple of minutes poking around when you first use it. If you a falling apart like me and have frequent office visits and multiple doctors, it’s a handy app to keep your insurance information and claims in order.

Real time. The app timed out making a primium payment. Logged back in & looked for my payment & could not see a pending payment, nor a recent payment under my bill. Checked with my bank & there were no payments initiated. Because of the time out & after checking two places in my account as well as my bank, made another payment. Spoke to a rep to confirm payment & it went through twice. Neither payment initiated showed on my app or in my bank account as pending. I was told they were unable to cancel the second payment & was told to wait 14 days to request a refund. I didn’t need a refund, I needed the transaction to be cancelled; no money was in motion. It’s Sept 2023 & a health provider is unable to cancel an electronic payment that was just made?? C’mon. Even my work programs allows for corrections in a specific timeframe.

Easygoing during navigation. Easy to navigate on this site. I can see everything I want and need about my health care! I can even enjoy games, read articles, find a gym, get a membership even!! But most of all I can add my personal physical activity and earn money to spend on whatever I want!! I can even keep track of my days, my earnings and the $40 quarterly to spend at Walmart, CVS, or Walgreens! Of course, it’s limited to certain items but even that is easy to navigate through! So much more than these things I mentioned here; but take a look for yourself and you’ll find more than what I have mentioned here!! Have fun, enjoy life as you can, and always smile at the world. You may be talking to or looking at someone who suffers more than you.

Ineffective. It has a list of the claims that have been made to your account. Many of the claims on that list have a button that say "pay now" as if it was a debt you owed as a copay. UHC customer service says the list shows up like that because they do not and cannot know what has already been paid (like same-day at the doc's office) and what has not been paid. You, the member, would have to be perfect at keeping track of every single claim and whether of not you paid the copay that day or not. If you pay on the app and remember later that it was something you had already paid, it will be almost impossible to get the correction made. No only will you need to remember which copays you mistakenly paid, but UHC uses different 3rd party processing companies and you would have to go through a lot of stress and frustration to get to the correct one, only to hope that their customer service is competent enough to help you. If they aren't, you start the whole calling process all over again. This app has not helped me one bit. It had, without a doubt, complicated things exponentially for me. THIS IS THE MOST USELESS APP I HAVE EVER DOWNLOADED. And I hate having UHC, as well. It is a ridiculously unorganized company.

Using UH. It’s difficult to find information about my policy in detail. I have to call often and am on hold forever. I’m also getting denied for services that I pay thousands of dollars for each year. It’s very unfair to have someone deciding your life for you and denying services when they aren’t in constant pain. I’m sure if they were in this pain, they would want to be helped. It’s very unfair and disturbing that a human has such control over another human and with no concern for their health and quality of life when that’s what they are actually supposed to help you with and to help you be healthy. I’d like the person whom denied my test to live in my body- let’s see if he/she could last 5 minutes! But hey, me being denied doesn’t have any effect on his/her life and health! So I guess it’s easy to not care about the people paying them their salaries to deny healthcare!

Get Mixed Signals. I’ve used both the website and the app and I’ve had issues with both. I get my OTC credit each month and I’m supposed to be able to use it to pay on certain utilities like water, electric. I’ve tried a handful of times to fill out the info needed (on the UHC website)for my monthly benefit to pay on my water bill, which keeps going up inexplicably, but it has never worked right. I even had assistance from a representative and I got a bounce back email informing me my water bill couldn’t be processed. Later I found out it’s because UHC has my water company under the wrong name, same thing happened with my electric company so I gave up on that after I spoke to 2 different reps telling them they have the name of my utility companies wrong but nothing changed in the system. The app will tell me a product is approved to use on my OTC benefits only to get to the checkout and I end up having an out of pocket balance and it doesn’t tell me WHICH product wasn’t covered even though I scan every single one and they’re green. Very frustrating and a little embarrassing.

Quality Health Care App. This app is very useful and I find myself using it frequently. It is well-designed and relatively intuitive; for starters it is Faced ID-enabled so I don’t have to go looking for my userid and password every time. It was also smart enough to look up both my current policy and one from a previous job so I can check my full history. All of my recent claims are here and there are quick links to contact the nurse line, find a nearby provider, or talk directly to UHC. It would get five stars except for two things: there’s no way to initiate a claim from the app (you have to use the full desktop site) and there seems to be no way to integrate with any medical records (for example, it keeps suggesting that I get my flu shot, even though I got it during a covered visit). Overall, though, it’s a very solid app.

State Franklin walk-in clinic Johnson city tn. Wednesday : may 22, 2024Went today. Asked at reception if my issue could be handled or must I go to my state of Franklin primary care: coming here as off today and takes a while for Primary care appt. She checked with nurse and said it was ok. When dr came In I explained and was told I had to see-my primary care…. Charged for visit as was UHc . I drove to primary care explained to lady at desk she went back into office came back and set appt with dr Caleb smith blue ridge for tomorrow.. terrible customer service expected since I asked!! $25 is half of a days work for this working retired lady. Plus I wonder why Premiums are going Up. Help is appreciated. Felt you need to hear these issues

App is great - when it works. Let me preface by saying I am new to UHC. I recently moved, so I had Humana for a few months while I waited for Medicaid approval to get on a DSNP (Medicare and Medicaid) plan. Humana’s app was fantastic, I didn’t have issues with the Humana app. I have been with UHC since September 1, and there are times the app works and then it stops working. I think the first two weeks that I had UHC, the app worked fine. Then for about the last week, it hasn’t worked. When I go to sign in, it’s telling me “we’re sorry. Something went wrong. Please try later.” Yesterday, I was able to get the app to work which is fantastic because it’s a lot easier to look up doctors on the app. Then this morning, it’s not working again. Other people are reporting this same login glitch/issue. Please fix this. Also, just a suggestion, please add the option to add your UHC ID card to Apple or Google wallet. Humana had this. Yes, most providers scan cards when you visit, BUT when you fill out paperwork for a new patient appointment, having the card in Apple Wallet makes it easier and faster to get to.

Not worth using. This app would be great with a few changes. When shopping for OTC products I use the built in barcode scanner. If this told you the item was good for OTC, or not covered, but you have enough rewards money to cover it that would be great. Unfortunately the way the app works is if you have any money on your Ucard scanned items come up green. It is not until after checkout that you realize all your rewards were used and you still have most of the OTC money left. As an update to the new version, the product scanner does NOT work on my iPhone. I put in an incident report some time ago and thought this new version would fix that.

Having problems with the card plus people not returning calls. I have had nothing but problems with my navigator returning phone calls since October or December 2021 it is now March 16, 2022 and I still haven’t heard from her there’s something wrong with your phone system so she says plus then I’ve tried to talk to supervisors they were supposed to call me back has not won did and then she didn’t call me back after she said she would call me back at all I’ve tried to get back a hold of certain people can’t get a hold of anyone and nothing has been done can you please call me today to get things taken care of thank you I appreciate it and I don’t like this app I’m not sure how to really use it plus in January and I did not get my January $75 on my card and was promised because I got my card late I got my card on February 5, 2022 which was a Saturday and I was told and so was one of the customer service people or supervisor at UNITED Health Care to complete told that I would be getting an extension because I’m getting my card late and still I have not got that $75 for January February I didn’t try to use the card and it wouldn’t even work so now I got something else and I still don’t have my card in the mail which is the card number I got now don’t even know why what’s going on so I need somebody call me thank you have a nice day

Dedicated UHC Employee. I wanted to say how helpful the UHC rep. Natalie from Columbus, Ohio was last Friday, April 15th. She stayed on the phone with me for over an hour assisting with talking to my current ENT Dr.’s office that was going to do my ear surgery, trying to convince them to pick up UHC/AARP insurance. She was trying to save me money! Researching Network doctors and finding one for me. She connected me with the rep. At the Essentials Account to order diabetic testing supplies, staying on the line until the order was completed. She explained in detail to me what the Essentials account was. I believe she went above and beyond any reps in other insurances normally do! Thanks Natalie! Gail C. Sheldon St. Marys, Penna.

IVIG Delivery, billing errors, and coding errors. Off and on for the past 2, years, I have been jumping through hoops to take care of multiple, as in at least 20 billing and coding errors, that result in me getting charged hundreds of dollars each tim, when it should be covered 100%. I am being charged as a home infusion, when I have NEVER, EVER had a home infusion my whole life. I have always gotten my infusions at an infusion center. I have also had my IVIG delivered to my house, instead of the infusion center, and they had to return to pick it up. I just received another notification today, saying another IVIG delivery will be arriving tomorrow. It’s never ending. I have been told over and over and over that it will be red flagged, and I won’t have to worry about it anymore. I have even spoken to my Patient Navigator. This is very stressful, and not good for my health, as stress is a HUGE factor in the possibility of a relapse related to my autoimmune disorder.

I wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve have some thing where I have Medicare or I had Medicare with Medicaid as the supplement. Our United healthcare was supposed to make this easier and seamless and that they work to take care of the bills and then send them to Medicaid if there was anything left and magically this is not happening I have put in about 30 hours so far and still keep getting the runaround… even though I called to Medicare and they called my insurance agent both yelled at that yes they should be doing exactly that they should be just paying the bill and sending it off instead they’re sending the bills back saying that that’s my share yeah definitely not what I would recommend. I am still waiting for a callback from finally getting a call back about the claim being escalated and yep 24 hours later still no call back

Maureen Heinly. As a person with a disability, living and depending on myself and myself only, I have been having a very difficult time with registering my information. Every time I try to register I am getting an error message. The Health ID is where I have the same problem. I have called for assistance and they say they can’t help me because I am not registered. I am at the point where I am going to just cancel my membership. I see everyone posting just how easy it is to do this. For me I cannot. I am done with this and will pay for this myself.

Hard to find information about cost of care. I’ve been phoning your help line to find out if an anesthesia group is in network. They couldn’t find the info. Also, Several months ago, I received a postcard from UHC about a free hearing test. I phoned the number on the postcard. The agent gave me the name of an audiologist. I assumed this audiologist was in network but she wasn’t. Why would I be sent to someone out of network? It would be better/easier if there was one obvious page with a space for a search query for all procedures, drugs, providers, facilities. It has taken me two days to find the information that the anesthesiologist for my cataract surgery is in network. Of course, I still don’t know what my out of pocket expenses will be and my surgery is Tuesday morning. Thanks for letting me vent.

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO TO GET THIS THING TO WORK? 😡. After an incredibly frustrating experience with the PHONE BOT when we had a question about something about our coverage, when the BOT suggested downloading the APP because the APP was supposed to be SO MUCH EASIER, we thought, sure, anything to not have to struggle with the PHONE BOT again. Downloaded the app, and USING THE SAME INFORMATION the PHONE BOT used to find our account, we have TRIED and TRIED and TRIED to to create an account. It keeps saying it can’t , doesn’t recognize, etc. INFURIATING! Our unhappiness is possibly more a function of the FAILURE of the United Healthcare’s system to RECOGNIZE a member that it was able to find not ten minutes earlier. It is NOT WONDERFUL AND EASY IF YOU CAN’T GET IT TO WORK! 😡🤬 IIF WE CAN EVER get signed up and logged in, I will be happy to revise my review in light of any actual experience of using the app.

UHC is fine with me. I just went to Walmart and cvs today to buy groceries. Everything went fine except that I had to pay .44 out of pocket which is no big deal really. My total was about 155$ and change while my card was 154$ and some change. Like I said no big deal once I got home I realized the toothpaste I bought at Walmart wasn’t covered fully on the card. The cost of the toothpaste was $4.97 I’m assuming I paid for the tax on it. However, the app is very easy to use and understandable. The rewards works. I love this app and it has free gym membership at ymca for where I’m at. Thank you UHC for all that you do!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great App. This is a great app. It makes things so much easier. You can access your is card. The app provides you your recent EOB’s as well as your deductible amount and how much money has been applied toward it based on your medical visits. The best thing about this app is you can search for a specific procedure. This allows you to view the doctors in the area you live or nearby. You see the doctors name as well as reviews. It will show you what the doctor charges and gives a detailed breakdown of what you will pay out of pocket with explanations. You can use this to “shop” different doctors for a lower cost. Excellent app.

Awesome New Organizer!. I am very impressed with what I see, it’s great for staying in the loop of things as they are processing, I love that I could see everything and everyone that I seen or visit with, perfect and the charges are broken down so you can see everything, if your life is very busy and you have to keep thing organized this is what you need, you can make notes on each claim and keep it all together with that claim. I finally was able to register and log on today after trying for a couple weeks and I’m so glad I’m up and running with it. Stress defuser, peace of mind is where it help me to be....Thanks

OTC orders. The OTC plan is a terrible mess. Before having to order through Walmart we could order, no taxes, no required $35 per order, not once was I denied an order because I was not ordering the required $35 or denied because I went over. So why have this benefit if it is going to be frustrating trying to order the perfect amount? Does UHC get a kick back on what is not spent. I will register a strong complaint with ERS that this has become a useless benefit and if is negotiated in their contract with UHC they are not doing their retirees any kind of favors. Others are not happy with this supposed benefit. I am unable to go to a Walmart and must order on line and this is nothing but a headache and a total mess !!!!!!!

Unhappy. I have had issues with you all since the last week of December. Can’t get anybody to talk to to resolve anything.. Nobody in your customer service speaks enough clear English for elderly people to understand. I went to the Walmart pharmacy two days ago. Are used to scanner from your app and everything I presented it said was acceptable. There were items that would not go through and I would rescan them, and it still says they qualified. I end up having to pay out-of-pocket for some items that I don’t think I should have. Had I realized before the first of the year how bad your communication level was I would’ve changed companies.

Network Doctors. I have been looking for an endodontist for two months now each one I’ve called from the directories provided no longer participates or except the insurance so I’m having an extremely long time finding me a root canal doctor. I am thinking that you will need to update Network doctors involvement monthly technology is such that this can be done. I do not know how long my surgery will continue but I have not been successful so far Oh yeah, I want to say when I called and they provide me with the same information is already on my app. Still no help to me still looking need help

Reasonable and handy. I’ve been a UHC customer since 2017. Stayed with all my longtime doctors. Low monthly payment which goes to zero in 2025. Knee replacement in 2020 with no noticeable extra expense. I “earn” everything possible (20 workouts a month, vaccine shots, home doctor visits, eye exams) on my U card, and use it up at my local CVS pharmacy. I’m Type 2 Diabetic, but healthier than I’ve been in years. Thanks to Medicare and the way UHC helps me take advantage of it. (See what I did there?)

Product scanner. Every. Single. Product I scan brings up the screen that says this product is not yet in the product catalog therefore it isn’t approved for purchase with member dollars. This is at Walmart and I was scanning every option of ibuprofen (Equate brand and brand name). Also scanned multiple brands of toothpaste and floss picks and Systane eye drops etc etc. We have ordered from the catalog many times and know that these products ARE in there. So my in-store visit to use my dollars was a waste of my time! Also, why aren’t the Walmart brand of CPAP products covered with member dollars?? Half of the senior population uses a CPAP and needs supplies, yet these aren’t covered. Makes no sense! Very disappointed in this so-called benefit offered by UHC.

Love the ease. This app is so easy to use. I love that I can check which doctors and facilities are in or out of network. I’m very happy with how fast claims show up and all the information that accompanies each claim. I would definitely get this app if you have UH. Of course you cannot see everything such as your deductible/OOP/copays but I know what they are anyway so it’s not a big deal to me. Having your card available all the time is a big bonus especially if your traveling or have a last minute emergency.

Horrible customer service/pre-authorization. On Friday I got a call from my surgeons office, saying United healthcare had not authorize my surgery yet for a very large Monday morning surgery at 6:30 AM. They escalated it and somehow the person reviewing my case left the office before closing time and didn’t get it approved before Friday evening at 7 PM. UHC - I have people flying into town to help me, I have people that have rearranged their jobs to help me and you haven’t done your job and gotten this approved. So, I suppose the day of surgery, we will be scrambling to get the documentation that you need. You win! You’re upsetting my life as if I didn’t have enough anxiety going into this surgery. Now I’m dealing with this ridiculousness that you’ve caused. You’ll be hearing from me on social media, all platforms.

UCard Review. It Sure Makes Thibgs ALOT easier for Disabled people & also, Someone who has Medical Issues that, Can’t walk through stores to get &/or buy something that’s Needed! The Only thing is that, I just put in my Order & Accidentally Ordered something I didn’t need & Do NOT Know How to do a Return for Refund back on my UCard & it’s Memorial Day Weekend Too😔! Just Not Very Knowledgeable with Electronics & All this stuff on my phone either…So, don’t know what to do about Returning this Item

United healthcare app. I’m not sure what’s happening if they had an update, but every time I open the app, my face ID has been turned off. I turn it back on, and next time I open the app it’s turned off. It’s difficult to find where to upload my tracker. Before it was on the main page. When I do find it there often having difficulty and I can’t use it. It’s only been a couple of days so if it’s an upgrade, I hope they work out the issues.

Great tool, but not fully accessible with voiceover!. this app is handy for many things however it is not fully accessible with voiceover on my iPhone, which forces me to call and speak to an advocate directly all because I’m blind and rely on such technology solely for access to visual things. Also, it would be helpful to be able to sort out vaccine information from other medical claims to. Totally appreciate what I can get access to and for once am able to get real time information on my claims the cost and what stage processes are in keep working on accessibility, please…!

The OTC info is a disgrace. This app is a disgrace on a couple of levels. The Face ID has never worked and U Card hub is no better. The product screener which is supposed to tell you if a product qualifies for the OTC benefit will tell you that a product like mouthwash qualifies but when you get to the cash register you can’t use the OTC benefit because there’s alcohol in it. Now they’ve removed all mouthwash including the alcohol free ones but the app will still tell you they qualify. It also doesn’t recognize many of the store brands even when they’re the same as a name brand. Does United Healthcare get a kickback from the name brands? Just curious.

Garbage app. I can’t sign in. “ We're Sorry. The plan associated with your account is not supported in this app I have the best premium plan a large American company can possibly offer to their employees, and yet I’m not able to sign in using the app or any web browser available on a computer. UHC is total garbage and so is there online services. Shame on you Divided Health Care! Maybe if they had employees that could answer the phone with some iota of competency instead of giving everyone the run around this might be resolvable. Can’t sign in, can’t resolve the issue, can’t find out who is in the network, but they charge me for services in my paycheck. I believe we call that a criminal act in America. What’s the term?…..oh yeah….THEFT!

Amazing!. I can view claims, show my insurance card, look up doctors in my area by name or by condition of health ailments! If I’m unsure of a doctor to see due to a new condition the app can show me in 2 seconds all my options for my area, used to take me 10 minutes at least or I’d have to schedule with a mystery doctor based off their practice alone. It also has a health checklist so that I know what I’m staying on top of and what I’m not, so I don’t have to guess or try to figure out via the clinic if I need a immunization or a test/screening done. This is great!

Member Services Support. Spent 1 hour and 19 minutes on the phone with the agent, truly going in circles. He tried to refer me to an Ob/gyn as my primary care physician…. I am a man!!!! In the end agreed I could go to Med Plus which was the first thing I spoke with him about. My name is Billy Enis. I injured by back and have been in severe pain but cannot get a referral for an MRI or a Neurosurgeon as requested at MedPlus by Joel Sessions NP. I have to say that the staff is not knowledgeable as the said the Dr they tried to send me to was “great”!!I had to tell the rep that this was a female Dr. and delivered babies. I remain in pain and have no prior authorization for an MRI or a neurosurgeon????WHY NOT???? And foreign reps are cheaper but difficult to communicate with. I realize this will do no good but I am sharing it anyway.

Stifling Discouraging and Frustrating. The only thing worse than your website and customer service is your app. Why does united encourage folks to down load the app when the tasks I need to do can only be taken care of from a PC. How is a person of low intelligence or is illiterate suposed to help themselves with claims when the site and the app are designed poorly. It’s a shame that you all take of advantage of folks the way you do. Your own customers service reps regularly apologize for United’s lackluster app, website, customer support and chats pitfalls and poor User Interface design. Your not helping folks your trying your best to stifle confuse and discourage customers. SHAMEFUL!

My primary insurance! Secondary insurance is through mail handler‘s benefit plan. I’m very thankful to be one of the few that are covered with dual insurance is having this has made my life and choosing to go to the doctor much easier! Are used to fear about not having money to pay for all the bills to find out that you have kidney disease, carpal tunnel in both wrists, And sleep apnea. There a Tonna test they have to be done from watching your blood pressure and checking your cholesterol to seeing how many white blood cell count you have. Thank you for being with me in the beginning of this progress!

Repeat problems with your app. I did an update and now I can’t even sin back in. I’ve had this problem over and over. I called several times to change my personal information such as email address and my new phone number. That did no good when you don’t change in your system. You are still using my old email and old phone number (even though I called and changed it, so I thought!) so now I can’t sign in at all!

United Healthcare and Optum Rx. I have been dealing with this mess for as long as I can remember. I have stayed at the same employer for 26 years. I am constantly fighting with them to get prescriptions approved, ordered and sent. They try to bully you into using Optum RX on prescriptions even if a retail pharmacy is cheaper. I have been fighting for over a week on one prescription that they keep saying they don’t have from my doctor even though I have the text message from my provider showing the prescription. I have no documents under my account even though they keep sending EOB’s and denials. I am trying to appeal the denial of Wegovy but they won’t send me the denial letter and it is not in my account under documents. I would give anything to deal with anyone but these people.

The First Time. I think that this/was a very helpful. If I may ask, could you please add something that would be Most Important. I think that Boost or Ensure would help many people. There are so many people that don’t eat food, but will have a drink. Please consider/ recommend this. I have worked in the medical field for a while, and can’t any longer. I’m disabled and will need a lot of help. That you for taking the time to read this… my name is Catherine Vitale. ❤️🙏 .

Very helpful and easy to navigate. I like this app. It helps me keep up with my billing. The only one thing I’ve noticed is going from my desktop to the app my paid items that I checked do not change over when I mark them. Kind of a problem if your trying to remember and can’t get to your desktop. Other than that, I was able to update my primary care doctor and check in on my claims against my insurance. I noticed Labcorp doesn’t comply with the payment feature so I’ll have to contact them directly.

Choice. The choice of what to put in my basket or cart isn't mine, it's UHC'S. It's gotten impossible to find Jiff all natural peanut butter, but that's the only one they cover. It would be very embarrassing to check out and find there are items UHC isn't paying for, and not have the money. I wouldn't know what to put back because the receipt doesn't tell me what item or items it's not covering. There has to be a better way, I'm hoping they will find it and let us the customer decide what OTC products we want (with the exception of alcohol and tobacco products) those should definitely be on the list of NO.

So unsatisfied with everything UHC. I am so disappointed in the service, website available “help” which comes from foreign countries’ operators who know nothing about truly answering questions over the phone or finding anyone who has any inkling as to what they are talking about before being transferred so many times and then the call ends. Shame on you UHC. I can’t even write a review without jumping through hoops. It’s no wonder why the nicknames required that have been taken are:unacceptable, I’m fed up, unbelievable and the like. I’m surely one of millions that find your system deplorable. Oh wait- that is probably taken too. And I’m sure that no one will respond to this. Guess I’d better find another negative nickname…

Clarity in medical insurance? It’s true!!. Wow! This app actually gives a clear representation of my insurance plan, deductibles, co-pays, and what has already been charged to those areas. Don't expect another low-tech, non functioning med insurance app. My experience is that I have direct information, updated within a few days to a week of service. Also like the in-network doctor near me finder. I have three children, ages 5 and younger, and we like to travel. Knowing that I can find a close-by in-network provider for the inevitable sniffles, bug bites, and upset stomachs that come with traveling with children, is peace of mind!

UHC is Americans biggest leech bleeding innocent people even poorer than they already were.. Horrible. They gate keep your information because they are constantly in a class action lawsuits for fraudulently making false charges on your account, constant data breaches leaking all your information, not paying people’s bills, etc. Then they have the audacity and spit in our faces with inconsistent monthly items we can purchase which is just what Walmart has the most of on back stock that isn’t selling because it’s actual garbage with no actual health benefits, not everyone can use it to pay bills in their areas. If I could give this actual anti-American scam of a system I would. Avoid at all cost !!!!!!

Unresolved charge. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes with UnitedHealthcare trying to file an appeal for a charge. I receipt for a screening mammogram. I went to CHI St. Vincent on January 8, 2024 and have never been charged until this year. I received a bill for $62+ . I don’t understand how the healthcare facility can be in my tier one network but the radiologist seems to be in a tier 3. I was never informed that this would happen or I would have chosen CHI St. Vincent. I think my radiologist should also be a tier one and I will not pay this fee because it was a screening mammogram. The telephone associate tried her best to help, but it was almost impossible to file an appeal. You have that information buried in another website and that is not helpful to your customers.

So Easy To Submit A Claim, but.... Submitting a claim has never been easier! However, after I took photos of the required documents and submitted the claim I realized I entered the incorrect date and I couldn’t find a way to go back to make this change after submitting the claim. Now I need to make a phone call during normal business hours. It would be nice if I could go back to see what I submitted and make that simple correction but I don’t think that’s possible. Complications resulted from user error. Aside from that it gets 5 stars.

Facial ID stopped working. Garbage app. Messaging system is slow to send codes. Resetting passwords is a chore. And after you finally log back in, it asks to confirm your identity AGAIN even though you just changed your password. Waiting for more codes via text that take forever. Then it asks you to trust this device when it's the only iPhone that's ever logged into their system. It's so dumb, slow and stupid. Why? People don't have time for this nonsense. And I doubt an actual human will even read this and attempt to fix anything. Every app seems to have problems that never get resolved. I'm so unbelievably tired of everything getting continually worse. And this UHC app is a key example of this.

Very convenient. If you need help or have questions that need to be answer you have your nurse and a doctor just a phone/app call away... instead of waiting close to a month for an appointment or having to wait for hours or pay high cost for ER visits and have to make runs to your local pharmacy, everything is done by a click and best part at your privacy of your own home/space.... Have been using it twice so far and I well recommend this... please give it a try

Locking up. I had no problems with the app until the new update. It keeps locking up and not allowing me to go back nor forward. Just stuck! Had to turn my phone off then back on. I deleted the app and reinstalled it hoping this would resolve the problem. Same thing happened. This problem need to be addressed. I called UHC to advise them while looking at my new plan for next year the app is locking up. I asked if anyone had advised them of this problem. They answered No. they couldn’t help me with my questions about my new lan for next year and asked if they could call me back. I really yes. I can’t seem to get help with my questions. 😔😪

Sick 6 months old. (This is his wife writing this review) So we just used the call a nurse 24hrs and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. She was so nice, helpful, answered all of our questions and even the ones we didn’t ask. She also told us about another option that they offer and where to look for it on the website to see if that will help us as well. Oh.. and when we put in to talk to a nurse I don’t think we even closed the app fully before my cell phone was ringing. Great turnaround and awesome nurse. I will definitely use this again whenever someone is sick again.

What insurance coverage?. Service is limited to texting. Good luck with that. Service gets dropped mid text. Then you’re trying to map and reconcile claims and payments and coverage. Try dealing with double sided paper work and billing codes. I mean, I’m on Medicare as Primary. Medicare billing is straightforward. UHC/Oxford bites. It’s like How do we confuse people while we bilk them. The provider billing charges that they partially cover? $2000. for two shingles shots? Seriously? For our Oxford/UHC coverage our employer pays close to $30,000 a year for family of four. That is not value. That is scam territory operated courtesy of provider/insurer nexus. Shame! I haven’t even mentioned out-of-pocket deductible. Does anyone out there monitor these people?

Good, but need one improvement.. I have difficulty in submitting the claim form because I didn’t understand to scroll down inside the box for reading the agreement. Pls put some red color down arrow inside the box to show that. I thought I have to scroll down all the way in the form. It didn’t show up much on iPhone display. I ended up calling support at United, but representative doesn’t know how to resolve it. I thought it is a e-signature issue at iPhone. Indeed, it is that simple.

App quality. This app is generic for UHC and the information it provides is not accurate for me since my network is liberty. This app needs to be updated to allow members to select their network and be able to search for accurate information. When I search for providers it says they are in network because they are affiliated with UHC, but then I find out that they don’t accept the liberty plan and I will be billed out of network if I use them. This out of network option is another problem. When paying for health care NOTHING should be out of network. You all have some work to do!

Shoddy Tech. In July was tracking my steps with this app, successfully. Beginning August 5, the app wouldn’t recognize my phone. Called tech support 4 times (not very knowledgeable) and each time the person did not know how to resolve the problem and had to put me on hold to read a manual or ask for help. One of those times was put on hold for 45 minutes then call dropped then another time for 10 minutes and I had to hang up. They had an upgrade 6 days ago and I wonder if the upgrade is not recognizing iPhone 12 or visa versa. Right her way, I’m not getting my 7500 step recognition and UHC should consult with Apple.

This app just wants your money. Get another company.. They don’t contact anyone about anything in terms of scheduling. I thought the whole point of an app was to do this. They can’t schedule anything besides payments to another company that you owe because that how hospitals work, but at least don’t lie and say it’s someone else. This app is very half like others I’ve seen used by other people who can ACTUALLY see if a doctor accepts new patients or not. Anyone I call on “their network” is lying or the app is stupid so I’m blaming the app. Most claims aren’t sending around to someone who another person but tell you who they owe. Maybe it’s just me, but I thinks it’s ALL THEM and wanting your money.

Terrible. I’m not sure if it’s because I don’t like UHC all together, but the app is absolutely awful. I mean unless you like not being able to login. If I login once, I have to delete the app & redownload. It doesn’t actually do facial recognition, as every time I try it says “oops we’re sorry something went wrong”. It works just fine on all the other apps that offer it, except this one. Speaking of, password saving for easier login? Forget it after logging in once. Just save the time and delete the app instead. It’s annoying trying to login to check my information but I get blocked because the app doesn’t work. This has been an ongoing issue since I started with UHC in 2019.

You need to update your site. I have had issues with some of the providers you have on your site under this plan. I have found addresses and phone numbers to not only be incorrect but also belonging to completely different businesses. I have provided this information to your representatives but have seen no changes. I have been looking for a counselor and not a single one on your site has returned my calls, or the phone/address on your site is completely wrong. You need to fix this. It makes looking for a provider super difficult. I am considering switching plans at the end of this year.

Authorization for surgery. I had a surgery date on December 4th that had to be cancelled because my insurance had not authorized it. They gave me a authorization number and when I gave it to my doctors office I was told that one had been canceled!! I would like to know why!! I looked it up on my portal and it still is not in there that it’s been approved! I don’t understand it! I’m in pain and need this procedure!! I realize that’s not your problem!! But every time I call for info I can’t get any one that knows what they’re doing. It’s really sad! Please send me the information on my authorization. What is taking so long?? The surgical back brace has been approved but not the actual surgery!!

UCard &Product scanner. I see comments about the card not working properly when members buy grocery items that are approved items according to the App. A cashier recently told me that you have to scan the UHC card 2 or 3 times to get it to go through properly. Make sure the cashier uses the scanner gun to scan your card, not the countertop scanner. It will def go through on the 2nd or 3rd scan.. I hope that helps!! Also, the product scanner on the app Never works and Ive never received my OTC $200 card I was promised 🤦🏻‍♀️. I can never understand Customer Service because their accents are so thick, they were really nice but super hard to understand.

Poor design. I downloaded the app and had my two college children download it as well. Since neither really carry wallets, I thought it would be a good way for them to have quick access to the insurance cards if needed. The problem is there are six people in our plan so one child is printed on a separate card that is not visible on the app. I called in to UHC to see if there was a way to view all persons covered via the app. The agent that I spoke to was less than helpful and sarcastic. I will not name her in this review, but if someone cares enough to reach out to me, I will certainly share the name and details about the encounter. You all should consider an update that makes all details assessable on the app. If not then what’s the point? It’s not convenient or helpful if it’s missing important information.

Terrible. No customer service. I needed help with this app as it didn’t work with my iphone. I called the technical assistance number and got a person who only does commercial UHC, however she sent me to someone who “could help me”. That person asked me several questions and had me repeat the same actions I had just done and declared my phone incompatible with this app. Interesting, since my wife had just downloaded the same app on her identical ios phone with no problem. ( no problem getting into the web site on the laptop). Then he said he’d get someone who knew this app “really well”. Isn’t that why I was connected to him in the first place? Should I ask for the janitor next? I hung up after receiving NOTHING from UHC after almost 1.5 hours on the phone. I did receive many insincere ear massage apologies though.

Stupid app. The app really needs work. It consistently has issues with logging in. It tells me I don’t exist. Links to FAQ say “It looks like you are lost”. It says to set up fingerprint ID but it won’t allow me to scan my print. Trying to set up Fitbit ID and again, it freezes and won’t continue the setup. I have been fighting this ridiculous app for three days now off and on, for over five hours. Typical government brags it does amazing things for Medicare but never sets up decent infrastructure. Even the identification card is “defective” and not usable. So the services we are promised are unable to be accessed. Thanks Biden.

Good App but not Great for Families. Most of the app works very well technically but has a fundamental flaw for families. The app will only allow the primary to see information related to the dependents or the HSA balance. In our case, my wife handles most of our children’s healthcare needs but because she is not the primary she can’t see any information related to them through the app nor can she see the HSA balance when she is the one primarily using the account. We understand the need for privacy but there should be a way to join the accounts after giving permissions (there’s not - we called). So this app is great for single people but useless for administration of family plans.

Excellence at it’s Best. UH, you are the best at what y’all do & I’m so glad to have made a decision to change insurance carriers. I only wished I had always of had you as my insurance provider. I am a walking billboard for UH, because I let everyone even those I don’t know that they should have UH as their insurance provider. Thank you to each & everyone that makes me feel as if I’m the only member you have. I’m sure that I’m only one of thousands & thousands that have the same sentiment. Sincerely, Richard Jacquez Jr.

Simple. This app is so easy to use. It shows all you need to know about those providers around you. It has ratings by them, how close they are, what services they render, on top of that how much you will be spending! It’s awesome because then for those that are out you can know what to expect when you get there. Reviews on the app are weird because it shows the ratings per provider but they don’t show what their patients are saying. However, I am unsure if it’s for HIPAA compliance. I mean I would like to see what people are saying to really know whether to go there or not.

Really like it but is missing a feature. I recently downloaded the app and was very pleased with it at first sight, until I started to download other similar apps for different insurance types and realized that all the other apps allow me to save my ID cards to my “wallet” fiction on apple iPhone except for this one . I really like the idea of having all my yards on my phone at all times but this app simply doesn’t have that feature. I hope they add it soon it’s a great feature to have . Other than that I have no complaints !

Poor Resources. I’m a NP and work for UHC in a different state than my son who has 3 months of lingering back discomfort without any injury known. we use used the virtual primary care on the app. We paid $50 for the nurse practitioner to send him to urgent care. That is not the purpose of primary care for something that’s been going on for three months. She should’ve took the incentive to send him for an x-ray rather than just passing the ball and charging us $50. He cannot see a PCP for 3 months locally I am a nurse practitioner I work for UnitedHealth care I understand the goals of the resources to providing access to affordable care via virtual and sadly this is not one of them. being charged $50 when I could’ve told him to go to urgent care it’s ridiculous. I do not want to be charged for that amount. I’m going to file in the claim a claim in an appeal and I want this nurse practitioner to be notified or poor quality care. It states right on the app that you can get prescriptions, orders for diagnostics and referrals to the resources that can help the problem. She did not help the problem. She just took advantage of us financially.

App and website do not work. After open enrollment, I will be changing providers. The app does not work at all. The website has been down for months since I’ve tried logging on in June 2024. It’s now November. I’ve called customer service to try to resolve issues directly. Very incompetent service representatives. Several times I have called, they fail to notate on my account. I always ask for some sort of reference number or claim number and name of representative to have proof of my call, yet every time I call, it’s the same process, no history of my call, even with reference numbers and claim numbers. If you’re shopping around for vision and dental health providers, I highly recommend you avoid this company.

Relatively unhelpful app. The app is great if you want to see how much you owe for past visits but that’s about it. You can’t make payments thru the app - you have to use their website for that. I have also found that provider information in the app is never up-to-date. Today I had to call 3 different clinics just to get a standard appointment with a GP. The first I called not only has a new phone number but the practitioner specializes in pediatrics at that location - not what the app showed. The second provider I called was not accepting new patients - not what the app showed. Number 3 was the ticket today but even that felt like a huge stroke of luck based on prior experience. I would never choose UHC or their …unfortunately my employer chose UHC so I’m stuck with their app.

Lost and Found. I went to my local pharmacy to get my new script product and was told that it would not be available until the 23rd of December. Therefore I remembered to call UHC too ascertain the problem. In short order I learned that my doctors had sent it to a pharmacy in their building and it is ready for pickup. Woohoo so relieved and also learned that after I obtained the current month’s order, I can have the future scripts transferred to my local pharmacy. All reconciled in just a few minutes. Thank you UHC!!!!
