Close to worthless. There is some limited value in the app, but NOT much. It shows my annual benefit amount and how much has been spent. The app is more concise and faster than their website but lacks detail. The procedures are only listed by number, not description. They are a different color and underlined so appear to be hot links. No such luck. Denied claims show up as “processed”. That’s confusing! And no explanation of why. Their website is missing the why also!
Installed 1.12 and had no issues. After reading the detailed comments posted and the details of v. 1.12, I cautiously installed the app (onto my old SE). I successfully logged in to my existing account, had my member card emailed to myself and linked my dentist’s information. No issues encountered. I conservatively entered a “3” to not skew the data up, but hopefully the issues others reported may have been resolved.
I’ll pay out of pocket at this point. I need to reset my password. The website was not sending me a link despite displaying a message that it had, and Delta was unable to help over the phone. This app is actually more dysfunctional than the website, displaying a blank box instead of my “challenge question”. Why has my coverage been terminated when my employment remains the same and HR didn’t change anything? We just don’t know! Look up the salary of the CEO of this parasitic rent-seeking entity and weep. Everyone behind this app, the website, and the company itself deserves a root canal.
Never again. Never for individual plan purchase (EPO) 10 times expansive and work with low dentists, they play to make mistake to take your money to pay insurance and dentist at the same time. This broking Dental insurance create to kill your finance, time and your teeth. These are not coincident, I experience not just one but three difference places. This is such a USA insurance broken system that need to be fix ASAP. ** Let report to report about fraudulent to state of department of insurance and Federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
The worst. This app is literal trash. It was not ready for beta testing let alone release. They retired their old app before this one was even close to ready. They have not correctly coded their phone number links to actively make calls with the click, so that is useless. The app is not taking the old login and won’t let you register when you try that way. The old app was minimal, but worked just fine. This app is less than minimal and has a bunch of obvious errors upon release.
TERRIBLE!!!. When I login it says unable to retrieve account details and directs me to contact their customer service. Their customer service states they do not provide technical support for the Mobile App. Then what is the point of saying to contact customer service?!? I cannot access my insurance information to give to providers using the web browser on my phone. I don’t typically take my laptop with me to the dentist, but guess I’ll have to so I can access my insurance information that i pay for. I don’t think I will continue to use this insurance provider in the future as it’s a pain to access your information and they do not provide physical cards. Absolutely ridiculous!!! A poor excuse for an app and a company.
Added claims finally. The ability to look up claims has been added to the app. Thank you. That’s really the primary reason to have a dental insurance app. I tested it and it works, I’m able to see my most recent claims. Smile!
Useless. Though DD’s website says I should be able to log-in to the app with the same user ID & password as the website, I got an authentication error message just trying to log-in. I use an iPhone 12 and iOS 15.1.1. I subscribe to this insurance directly thru DD (not the health connector or an employer) so maybe that’s the problem, but that’s no excuse. I’m not even going to bother trying to sort it out because if it’s anything like the website, it’s functionality, ease-of-use and accuracy will be awful.
New user. I would like to report that the back arrow is not working after selecting “view info” for my dentist. I have to close the app and sign in again to view another screen. I am using iOS 15.7.3 on an iPhone 7 plus. The app is up to date because I just installed it. I was easily able to register, sign in, choose biometric login and add our dentists.
Worst app ever?. I’ve never reviewed an app before, but I had to come here and let everyone know how disgustingly bad this app is. They retired their old app, so you have to download the new version. No problem, download the new version. Once you try to sign in after the slow load time and buggy screens, it’ll tell you it no longer remembers you. You try to recover your account, and then suddenly your account doesn’t exist anymore. You try to recover it various other ways, only to be continually redirected to websites that also don’t help. This app and company are absolutely terrible.
Needed to level this out a bit…. It’s dental insurance. It’s is what it is and nothing more. The app is designed to help make transactions easier and providing coverage details. It is nice having digital copies of insurance cards as well. The app does that and I’m very satisfied with the app. This is only my opinion. There are many coverage options to pick from. It’s up to the patient to read what is covered and what is not and pick the plan that best fits them 🤷🏽
Good enough. Got digital ID card. I was worried by the negative reviews, but it’s all people who have a low cost plan and are frustrated with their coverage. I got the app to add my ID card to my apple wallet. It did that within 30 seconds of downloading the app. I’m satisfied. 5/5
Poor performance. I would give this app 4 or 5 stars if it worked. Most of the time it doesn’t work or takes an eternity of “thinking” just for it to tell you it can’t process you request at this time and try again later. I have already checked that I have the latest version update, phone is up to date and internet connection is good. Re-booted phone, deleted and re-installed program. It all failed. This app has much to be desired. I give this app 1 Star. Don’t waste your storage space on this app. It’s not worth it.
Everything I need. I am a veteran, using the app for the veteran benefit Delta plan and it works great for me. I’m not sure why it’s rated so low, or if they have made a lot of good updates or what. Everything worked and works great so far.
App seems to be working fine!. I see all these 1 star reviews and it had me worried! I still downloaded and used the app and it works extremely well, it seems any of the problems people were having in the past now seem nonexistent! Don’t let the reviews scare you, the app works perfectly fine!
Useless. Choke full of bugs. Not useable at all. After filling in login names, passwords, recovery answers, email, and other user information, the app just got stuck on the same page. There’s no error message anywhere as I scroll up and down the page. After a while, I tried again and the only difference is it says the user names is being used and I need another one. Again stuck on the same page. Wasted two hours on this sign on process without anything to show. Tried calling delta dental and was put on hold for two hours. I gave up.
Worthless. If it allowed a zero star review then that’s more fitting for this app than one star. This app is absolutely worthless. I don’t understand why they would even develop an app that doesn’t work. I can’t login to my account it keeps telling me account not found even though I am able to log in via the website just fine. I tried registering but it just brings me to the website and asking me to login with no further prompts to continue. I just wanted a easy way to access my ID card and claim information. Don’t waste your time you’re better off just opening a browser on your phone and logging in that way.
Where’s the information. I don’t like this version. You can’t see anything as you could with the previous. Nothing pops up for the exception of my name and employee and what type of plan I have. The summary doesn’t open and cannot see any information for what is left on my usage. This is just terrible. I’m deleting this app and will just call for any information I need. Not sure who came up with this version but please go back to the drawing board. This is not it.
The app works well and has the same info as the website. I was walking the dog after a dental procedure and wanted to check in on my Delta dental benefits. I tried loading the website, but the member portal is so bloated and Janky. It just wouldn’t open on my phone on 5G so I figured I’d give the app a shot because I figured it was a lot of client library loading that was causing problems. After downloading the app and logging in it worked perfectly. I could see my benefits and authenticate and even offered to set up Face ID. So the app worked very well and had all the info I was hoping to get. I would give the member portal zero stars, however. I don’t know what needs to be done, but the page load is monstrous and needs to be optimized. Also, during authentication, I got to see the actual name of the auth provider something something – prod. That felt a little janky and didn’t feel like something the user should see but I’m glad it wasn’t – dev or – stage 😓
Complete waste of time!. Delta dental has made zero improvements to a horrible app, and customer service suggests members use the app when called, go to the app for what?! Still the app says that my information is wrong or that there is no internet connection. This app is non-functioning, there are way too many members that have this issue with the app. And getting paperwork and claim details through customer service is not much easier.
This app is not worth having. I was logged in at one point. Now I'm logged out and cant log back in. I've changed my password twice and still cant log into the app. When i try to search for Dentists in my area it will not show the information to the dentist office, I'm not sure who takes my insurance because of this. I do not want to just call around asking if this office takes DD 😒 update it this time to FIX the bugs???
Seems to work fine. Not sure about these other reviews, but I was able to log in fine, see my dental cards, claims, dentists, etc. nice and easy app. Don’t listen to all the bad reviews.
Literally can’t register. The app is literally useless, it just takes you on a link to a website telling you to register your insurance account with your user name, I have my insurance card right in my hand and just like everyone else with this app having the same issue, I can’t register anything it says I’m putting in the wrong information when clearly I have the right info in my hand. How is this pathetic company in business.
Doesn’t Work. I would give this app a negative rating if I could. I cannot even login. I literally made my account name and password through a web browser on my phone and the app states my password is incorrect. Useless. I also tried logging in and selecting “forgot password” as I switched jobs and need to switch things up and then I was just stuck in this never ending loop of trying to sign in. This is worthless.
Can someone from Delta confirm this actually isn’t just spam or Apple remove this. Looks like all of us have had the same experience of logging in and being told that there is information that will be available. Can Apple please check this and see if it needs to be removed as spam or someone from Delta dental confirm that this is still being developed and it is indeed made by you.
New app works now. I was on a “retired” version of this app and it was literally unusable. The old app wouldn’t let me sign-in most of the time and when it did, I got no functionality. I found this new version of the app when I noticed my old delta dental app literally said “retired” on it. Downloaded this new one and so far it’s working. Shows me all the info I was looking for and it lets me sign in normally.
Waste of time. There should be a no star option. The App does nothing but waste time. It asks you to register, then after you enter your private information, it sends you to a website where you have to re-enter the same information again. After that, you get a verifying email where the you click on a link that takes you to a sign-in page, which does not recognize you and asks you to start all over again. Such an annoying app, and very disappointing for a big company to put it out there. It also erodes my trust as I have entered my private information twice, wasted my time, and end up with nothing.
Gutted Functionality from this New Version. This version is a downgrade from their previous app. We used to be able to track claims and view Estimate of Benefits (EOBs) and payments but they gutted those features from this “updated” version. I have a regular dentist so the need for the finder is mostly useless. If you’re dentist is out of network then the estimate or is also useless. All that remains is the ability to view your insurance card which I already added to my Apple wallet, so again useless. Please bring back the claims review functionality!
Not too bad. It would seem that either they fixed a lot in this app, or many reviewers don't have much experience with mobile apps- its not anywhere near as bad as a lot of the reviews would lead you to believe. I managed to get everything done that I needed to on the app, right down to finding a dentist with good ratings close to my home. 3-1/2 stars
Useles without My Claims/My Coverage. Imagine you’re using an app to see how much money you have in the bank. Then the bank makes you download a new app, and this new app has no such function. How do you know how much money you have? This app is truly pointless to me and I’m forced to use it because they retired the other one. I would like to know whose idea it was to force this version upon users without full functionality. Also please keep in mind that the plan to ‘return these features in 2022’ is both: A. Not a promise and B. Incredibly vague. December 2022 is a year away.
App doesn’t do anything. I can’t view any of my claims, the app “apologizes for the inconvenience “ when I try to view a claim, my benefits, my dependents, my deductibles.. literally anything. I can see my card and look at dentists, which are two things I don’t need. Pretty useless app, the old one was better, and that was pretty terrible too. It’s bad enough the insurance doesn’t cover anything and is a waste of money, the app could at least function how it should so I can keep track of my dental care costs.
Works. Edit: Contacted Support and they were able to resolve my issues (though it took three weeks). I can now log in and see my insurance card and claims. App always says password incorrect using the same password that works on the Delta Dental of Washington’s website.
Simple and Effective. The applications does everything you need it to do and more. The ID card is easy to access and you can even add it to your Apple Wallet if you don’t want to use the app. You can see all of your claims and you can even see what you’re provider charges for a certain procedure.
Terrible App No Benefit info at all. So what’s the point of this app anyway???? In previous years I was able to see benefits, coverage, if my spouse was still covered, track claims, etc. Got a claim letter in the mail that doesn’t look right so I go to my trusty Delta app and I’m told the app has been retired and I need to download the new version. Done! Open it and there is NO benefits info, no info about dependents and no info on my current claim!!! I try looking in the “more” section and an alert comes up that the info I am looking for “will be available in 2022…..um it’s January 2022 right now so why is this not available???? DO NOT waste your time even Spaniard if this app it is useless and now you will NOT have access to your delta info. Unacceptable! How are you supposed to manage your insurance this way. Additionally trying to post this review and every “nickname” I choose supposedly has been taken!!
Futile. I have been trying to get the phone app to work for over 2 months now. I can log into the web portal just fine on my laptop, but apparently (per their tech support) the phone app uses a separate database that can’t talk to the one associated with the web portal. I’ve played the phone tag game talking to both sides, but all they can do is finger point and blame each other. With today’s technology you would think Delta Dental could figure this out and do it with ONE database. I’d hate to think if airlines ran their business this way. Best of luck, but your time will likely be better spent doing something more meaningful like watching paint dry.
Useless. Apparently the app is different from the Delta Dental website. I created a new user and password on the Delta Dental website, and I was able to login and see my benefits. When I tried to login on the app it says it’s an incorrect ID and password. I triple checked to make sure that I was using the same ones. I even logged out of website and logged back in to make sure I was using correct credentials. It would not log me in. I will just use the website instead.
No access to coverage and claims. It’s a bad idea to release an app in a hurry when it’s absolutely useless for the customers. Says the features for checking claims and coverage will be available in 2022. I think those two make up the most important feature in the app. Patients use an insurance app to check the coverage, claims and provide an ID. The ID kinda works by adding to the Wallet but doesn’t display member ID or group ID. I added my preferred dentist via the webpage but that doesn’t reflect in the mobile app.
Useless. I have tried to use this app for over two years now and it never lets me login. And then when I continue as guest to try to contact them or access phone numbers, it still doesn’t work. It doesn’t reroute you to the Internet app. It doesn’t let you see their phone number. It doesn’t let you submit any kind of ticket. What is the point of this app and how come it has not been fixed in like two years? I have never been able to log into this app. And when I login online to Delta dental there is limited information this has got to be like the worst insurance user interface manager ever.
Complete Waste of Time-Go to Website. The older app worked better than the upgrade that I am forced to use. Which cannot be used at all. My information did not get updated, and to get help via Contact on the app? Leads you to nowhere which means, you guessed it, no contact, no help! Someone else stated this deserved a no star rating. I would give it a negative star rating. Who is checking the work before rolling this monstrosity out to the public?
App Works Well Now!. Decided to write this review after seeing many negative posts. The app has been fixed in many areas and clearly most of the bugs in it before are gone. The app works well, and I had no issues during the login process. Federation to the provider sign in portal was perfect.
What is Error 1015. Why does this app crash every time I sign in and proceed to give me the same error? I literally can’t do anything. This app has been out for 3+ years and it’s filled with bugs. How is this part of your business model? Seriously, if knew your application were this crappy I would have picked another insurance co. There’s no way y’all are efficient with an app like this proudly recommended on your website. Do better or delete the mobile app. This app is an utter failure. Whoever y’all are paying to run it clearly took the money and ran.
Developer fails to take responsibility. The shop is developed and controlled by the national Association. Nonetheless, mechanism to request assistance in the app refers you to your states local chapter. Those folks of course say sorry we can't help you with the app you have to talk to the national Association because it's under their control! If you contact the national associations support desk they refer you back to your local chapter! It's absurd. It has been working fine but then with the updated app unable to login can't get any help the date is submitted to reset the password isn't recognized it's a complete fail. What a joke. Should be zero stars
REGISTER button Doesn’t work at all. Input in information to register and press Register and the app goes into the netherworld. 35 years of IT. Possibly worst app I have seen. First I installed Delta Dental Mobile App and tried. Nope. Deleted it. Installed Delta Dental Mobile and tried. It has instructions to delete it and install the other . Neither works. Care about our teeth but not our sanity. You MUST register for the online account via website in order to sign in on the app. Once you finally get on the app, surprisingly no way to see benefit summary. And when you switch to another app(e.g. app store to update a review?) and go back after mere seconds, the app has challenges with what little it does. The screens have trouble coming back up and when they do they disappear. Same happens after trying to get a cost estimate without having exited app. Only way to get then to stay showing is close app, reopen and not switch apps. Using IOS 14.8 on Iphone 12. Developers need much better QA vetting this before release.
Will they ever fix this?. I downloaded this app about a month ago when my employer switched to delta dental insurance. The app did not work at all then and it still doesn’t. All it does tell me I am offline even when I am at home with WiFi in addition to a strong 5G cellular data signal. It’s inexcusable for a company this big to allow their app to remain completely broken for so long. Incredibly disappointed in how little they seem to care about their customer service tools.
Happy smile. I have used delta dental for the past 14 years. Yes, they reimburse you for dental procedures and I find the reimbursements rather fair. There is also an appeals process and a recoding requests that can be made. I find the model helpful for a family of four. I use my favorite dentist and Delta dental reimburses time for the dental work. Thanks

Back to the App, I had to register on the website ,the App won’t let me login. Developer I understand this is probably on their end but please fix this.
Seems better. I’m sure there’s substance to many of the frustrated reviews, it in my experience the app has worked flawlessly. It helped me find dentists to take care of an extraction and everything went smooth.
Display ID on Sign In screen…. …probably the best thing I’ve seen in an insurance app! This is so helpful - the last thing I seem to remember to do when going to an appointment is pulling up my insurance card before check in (they all hide it in different places within the app). This makes it QUITE easy. I wish more apps did this.
Simple design, but very utilitarian. So the first time I tried signing in, it gave an error. But after that literally everything in the app worked so well. I’m actually shocked at the reviews. This app is so simple and easy to use, yet powerful. I’m gonna give the devs credit where it’s due. Of course if my experience changes so will my review. But right now I’m actually very impressed by the app.

ok app but bottom of barrel insurance. the app is alright but limited usefulness, you can check claims and look for dentists but there’s nothing related to billing which is too bad since they seem incapable of sending bills by mail or email or even texting bill reminders despite my selecting the paperless option. i only get late payment warnings in the mail which i discovered when my autopay credit card expired and they didn’t notify me of that. its like they only just discovered the internet and mobile phones and the post office.
What’s the purpose?. I mean, a digital card is all it’s good for. I looks like it has a find a dentist feature and a cost estimate feature, but I already have a dentist, same one for 20 years. It does not have my dependents listed and says “feature coming 2022”. Also, my only reason to use this app was to view claims and payouts, to know they are happening and how much. THERE ARE NO CLAIMS….. seriously?
Can’t log on. Loaded app on both my phone and my wife’s phone. No luck on logging either of us on. I notice others having similar problem. Any chance that might be fixed? Or should I give up and remove the app?
No access to Benefits and claims! What is this??. I tried to access the benefits and claims to dispute the charge at the dentist and this app doesnt provide that option. What kind of health/medical related app doesnt provide your benefits and claim? This is my first time ever giving 1 star and it doesnt even deserve it. I think a college computer science student can make better app than this. We need our money back from delta dental for useless and poor services!
Waste of time.. Could not register an account on this app. Wasted 45 minutes attempting to get this app to work. I managed to register on Delta Dental’s portal and printed out a Dental Dental card. This card is oversized and will not fit in a wallet credit card slot. I know Dental Dental is trying to pinch pennies but having a non-working app and wasting customers’ time printing out inferior cards that do not fit in a wallet is very pathetic customer service.
Worst app ever. I'm not sure what the purpose of this app is for. I registered my account and was able to log in the first time. After browsing it for a little while, I realized it provides absolutely no value. I wanted to give it another chance, so tried to log in, but am getting an error message stating it's the wrong password. I tried to reset it a couple of times with no luck. Bottom line: useless app.
Does not work. This app doesn’t work… at all. You cannot sign in to the app even though I already have an account online. I thought, okay, I’ll try and register for a new one. Nope. Doesn’t work either. Really disappointed. It’s 2022 and this is some of the most rudimentary functionality. Please make this a priority to fix.

Why No Dependent Info?. This is not the forum to complain about your insurance - rating is supposed to be for the app itself. That being said, what a strange and obvious oversight not to include dependent data? App pretty much only provides easy access to your info, and that’s fine… but only works for the employee? Can’t add dependents or see their claim info, etc. That makes no sense.
HORRIBLE and USELESS App!!. The one I used that worked really well was retired and I was asked to download the new one, so I did…Done. Tried to login with my password and no luck, tried it 2 times then did the forgot password, but that was USELESS as it took me to the website then loged in via the website with the same password I did on the App, and it worked….WTH, don’t publish an app that’s not tested and poorly developed.
Does what I need!. I was able to search for my provider, download my card and see all necessary info.
Worthless app. I can’t even view my current ID card. I previously had Delta Dental over a year ago through my husbands company. I just signed up through my company this month. The app will only show me the expired ID card for the previous insurance. I can not see my current info. It also does not give any coverage detail. What is the point of the app if I can’t even see my current card info?
Won’t allow change of Plan after initial sign in. This app won’t allow me to change the policy I have in-app from my old one to my current one. The website thankfully allows me to do so, but not the app. Irritating, as I can’t print a new ID card without using the wrong information, that’s in the app, as it’s impossible to update the information the app contains. Please fix!
Only Certain States!?. Switched employers recently, both used Delta Dental as their provider. My app wasn’t updating to my new policy, so I called in to find out that the state my company is registered in (California) Delta Dental’s app is registered in. So the app will not show my new policy, and I instead have to go online. How is it that EVERY other benefit provider I have I am able to download an app and view, except Delta?
Simple but to the point. This app don’t have any junk like so many other apps, it has your member # the amount u have and what’s left if you’ve used any money for that year.. Good app
Not able to access anything helpful. I was just trying to check a claim and all that can be done is find a dentist and add people to the account or send my dental insurance information. Not able to see any claims or access benefit information. Is this getting worked on? I could access this information on the previous app before it was retired.
Useless App. What is the point in this app? There is nothing useful or beneficial with this app. There is a virtual ID card with my name but the ID number is blank. I have a provider assigned but that information does not sync with the app (I would have to search again and add it as a "favorite" or "preferred" provider. I can not view any benefit's or insurance information. This app is a waste of time and money in development.
App works. I didnt want to download this because the reviews but everything works perfectly fine 10/10
Terrible!. Probably the worst app I’ve ever used. I was able to login once. I have changed my password and now I can only login to the main website. The app just hangs on the “Have we met screen”. For a company that services so many, you would think they would have a decent app. I would give it zero stars if I could.
Ok plan. Our new dentist is out of network but Delta sent me a check for services they would pay an in network dentist. Only problem with the up is that it isn’t current. Needs to be up to date.
Cannot view available funds. Anytime someone uses insurance of any kind, we want to know how much it will cost us. So, the app should have a display that shows how much money is left in our annual pool of funds. This is one of the most basic pieces of information needed by the user and it cannot be found on the app.
Doesn’t show accurate information. This is my first time using the app. It shows one of my previous ID numbers from an expired plan. I’m writing this at the beginning of March 2024 and I can’t see my active ID number or any information about my current plan that went active at the start of this year.
Doesn’t work. During registration entered my info EXACTLY as on my card, app locked me out after 3 tries—useless! Will be deleting this app. Also, terrible when filling out the form, doesn’t bring up numeric keypad when asks you for a number. Doesn’t bring up my name in hints even though it’s asking for my name. Bad user experience all together!
Not helpful. I have to manually add all dependents that are covered. I have to lookup each claim by dependent. Should be able to see all activity for my account. Only shows status and what amount was claimed. Does NOT show what was paid; what is the negotiated rate; was a check sent and when, what amount is my responsibility. Worthless.
So far so good. Low cost dental insurance but they pay also for part of my procedures? Excellent! Unfortunately, here in the US health is not free so to find an insurance that pays for part of the procedures is a blessing.
Are there any developers at all?. Neither this app nor the website have been functioning for basically a year. Website won’t allow me to select a new dental office so I can’t get care, customer service doesn’t know what’s going on, and this app doesn’t provide any info on coverage details. What’s going on there? What’s the point of having a site or app at all if they don’t function? Insane.
App works great for me. Not sure why the reviews are so terrible. Must have been updates to the app. Was easy for me to register with my name, birthdate, and subscriber number. App lets me see my member info, my claims, and my coverage.
Works but….. It worked for me but it’s still is under construction as there’s not much going on besides it shows your ID member number card and searches for local dentists but at least it is more then the rest of the people trying to log or connect.
Dependent list. I assume this app is still in development? I receive an error message the “my saved dependent “ will be available in 2022, along with “my coverage “. The location to find doctor near location seemed to work appropriately along with add to my favorites . Will await further development to fully review
Who is the Product Owner for logon/registration on this terrible app?. This is an atrocious app. Every time I attempt to login, it does not recognize my password, it walks me through verification, identifies me as a member, has me “successfully” reset my password, the. When takes me to login screen, the password is not recognized. Seriously, the entire Product Management team of this app should be fired.
Doesn’t work!. What’s the point of this app?? Contacted tech support told me by a few days issue should be resolved. Well it’s been weeks now and still Doesn’t work! Can’t log in to the app keeps saying error authentication error! But I can log in online perfectly fine signed up for dental and emails state r download app. FOR WHAT!? It doesn’t work! Complete waste of time!
Still cannot get past login process. Another year has passed and still cannot get past login process. Immediately get an authentication error of sorts and then get stuck in a loop of trying to log in. Have uninstalled and reinstalled over and over. Never works. I’m not sure if I’ve EVER been able to actually use this app.
Can’t log in. There’s a bug in this app. Can’t log in, it has me log in with Face ID, then ask me if I want to enable biometrics I click confirm and it gives me the check mark after Face ID but then prompts me to the same question about enabling biometrics. If I hit the other option of cancel it takes me back to sign in again 😡🤬I’m stuck on the loop
Log-in doesn’t work. I am able to login to my account on an iPad/laptop, but never on the app. I called support and they actually said that is a common issue and basically i should not rely on the app to work. I wanted to add my ID card to my apple wallet, since they do not mail physical cards and the paper one I printed doesn’t fit in my wallet. What is the point of making an app that doesn’t work?
Huge downgrade. Delta dental retired an effective app that I used for many years. This “new”one does not show claims which is the only reason I use the app. Huge disappointment. Delta Dental - you can do better. You should have had this app fully baked before retiring the old app. Customers expect an upgrade when you make us download a new app, not a downgrade.
Easy to setup. Not sure what why everyone is having some many problems. But I was able to easily set my account up and start using the App. Thanks.
Fix Your Registration System. There seems to be an issue where User IDs are being incorrectly marked as "not unique" when trying to register both through the app and on desktop. I lost track of the number of UIDs I tried but was unsuccessful with. For good measure, I even tried a few randomized UIDs with the same results. 1-star because I have no way to assess the rest of the application if the registration is broken.
Going backwards. The app opens and show your card information, that’s it. No “My Claims”, no “My Benefits”. Why release a version of the app that have less features than the retired one? I don’t understand why push something out that is not equal or better than the old app.
Straight-forward & clean. Fast access to my ID card and an easy to use dentist finder. I also like that I can estimate what my costs are going to be instead of it being a mystery. Useful app!
Less than worthless. I tried logging in, it gives an error and shows a button that says "contact support". When I press it, it just goes back to the login screen. I'm convinced that the app and website are deliberately bad so that people can't actually use the insurance. The development team should feel bad. Maybe get a job where you don't have to worry about users at all.
The app is impossible to use. I have no issue with delta dental- they’ve been great. But the app never works — even after I called and they said to register at the deltadentalaz website— which I did. I finally just deleted the app because it’s much easier to call and get info on my plan. Very frustrating. Not user friendly at all.
Wrong account. I was previously on a health exchange plan with Delta Dental. I recently switched to a regular PPO with Delta Dental. However, when logging into the app, I cannot see my active account. I can only see the inactive account from the exchange. I have deleted the app, I’ve deleted the info from the app, re-download the app and logged back in and the app insists on taking me to my inactive account. So this app is pretty much useless to me.
App Fail. Unable to register-first attempt ended in some kind of error. Second attempt (to register) stated user already exists. Then tried to log in using credentials entered in first attempt (the user that supposedly exists) - get wrong user name or password. Hey devs, have you actually tried to use this app outside of your development environment? Lots of others having same probs as me (per reviews). Don’t have time for nonsense-app deleted.
What is everyone’s problem?. I am using the app with no difficulty and find it rather well designed. Don’t have any idea what all the bad ratings are for…and I am not a shill.
App is terrible, website works just fine. I thought it was just me but clearly everyone has the same issue with being able to log in on the website but the app tells me my password is incorrect after changing. I’m just hoping to get a reply from the developers to see if they can help me too 🤷🏾♂️
Very frustrating. The problem I ran into … the app takes you to a production address and then state all you login information is incorrect. The initial registration is through the member portal address. Either app you can not choose the address to open. At this point the app is useless compared to past experience where it worked ok.
Garbage App. This app is complete garbage. I can’t log in from the Home Screen despite deleting and reloading the app multiple times. The help desk is useless and just tells me to keep trying. The website is garbage as well and in order to pay my bill I have to call and get a special link. I guess their tech group as a whole is fairly useless.
Bad Version of Previous App. This is not a better version of the previous version. I get an email that my EOB is ready to see but it won’t open in the new app. Now I know nothing about my deductibles, explanation of benefits or coverage. And the last app is retired so you cannot get any info from it either. If I could have given the zero stars I would. It is a totally useless tool.
App doesn’t give delta payment details to participants for out of network claims. App shows when claim is processed or processing but only shows total amount billed. On out of network claims, the participant has to lay out the money, then gets reimbursed by Delta. The app does not allow the participant to see the amount being reimbursed to them.
Version 1.5 works fine for me…. …had to register thru Safari on my MacBook first, downloaded the iPhone App and found it worked just fine with my User name and Password…love that handles Touch-ID too.
