Bad interface, realy bad currency conversion rates,. Interface could be more intuitive. Currency conversions rates are stealing. If i convert 1000 from one currency and back i lose 10%!!!! Insane! No more reloads.

Bad conversion rate. Even it says no fee, they get it from the conversion ratr. The USD conversion rate is 0.6935 per 1 CAD, while the market medium price is 0.7255. A 4.5% difference, what a rip off! Never gonna use it.

Nice idea…if it worked. Support confirmed that the reason it doesn’t let me load funds from my VISA DEBIT card is because their APP doesn’t work!

The idea is good, but the app is HORRIBLE. Somehow the same password I use for the account decided to be not the correct password anymore. I change the password but it still shows password incorrect. Then, it locked me out with your account has been locked for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, same message. A day later, same message. I message support, they fixed it be unlocking the account so the 10 minute lock won’t appear anymore. I try to log in, and guess what? Password is incorrect. I change the password and guess what? Still incorrect. I try again. Then…. “Account has been locked for 10 minutes.

Functions are not simplified and user friendly. Multiple currencies through one card is a great feature, but I would like to see following improvements for my use (which we had before with CIBC smart prepaid cards): - Able to load funds directly and quickly - On the dashboard, I would like to see all balances of my currencies instead of showing transaction history

Do not get this card. The exchange rate is the worst ever seen, the app doesn’t work and to load fund your card takes forever

Where can I find my PIN?. Every instruction says it can be found in the app but they don't say WHERE in the app. Impossible to reach human representatives. Where is the PIN hidden?

Horrible. Whoever made this app is a horrible designer

SAVE CARD option doesn’t work. When loading from Visa there is an option to save the Visa card info. When I log in again it isn’t saved and it’s quite cumbersome to have to reenter the payment info each time.

Worst card. Take more than five business days to see on this card your reload from CIBC bank.

Doesn’t work. There is a button to show wallets but it does nothing.

Poorly designed App. Starts to load and then hangs. Website using Firefox appears to work although login is not working properly.

worst prepaid card ever. totally confusing. not senior friendly at all CIBC made a huge mistake changing to this card. The old card was way better and so easy to use. now I will be without a prepaid bank card because i will cancel the AC card as soon as I can get my money off of it 😡

Lag. Improve app performance, app is buggy and lags and freezes, then crashes.

App sucks. Every time I try to log in it says locked for 10 minutes

Card activation & registration broken. As of 29 November 2022 card activation does not work if it’s combined with registration ( which is how someone with a first time CIBC card would do it ) reason why it doesn’t work ? On the app one is not given the opportunity to assign a password. This works just fine on the web interface. Also the PIN reveal option works for 30 seconds on the web interface & 10 seconds on the AP - why the lack of consistency ? Maybe VISA / CIBC should try testing their AP and doing a. Udinese driven consistency test before wasting their customers time - there are other hungry travel cards out there that work just fine.

Say what?!. I loaded a small amount of funds. The card was immediately flagged as Suspicious Fraud.

Worst card and app ever. Never works, don’t get it. I regret my decision.

Frustrating!. I have been abroad for one month and was pleased with this card and app so far. Then I have been unable to load funds for the past week. Communicated with customer service , got the response the feature ‘LOADING FUNDS’ doesn’t work at the moment and app is under maintenance. What use is it if unable to load funds??? They have NO idea when it will be available. WHAT?!? This is a payment card attached to a bank. YOU CANNOT just respond we don’t know when it’s gonna work! It shouldn’t take weeks to fix this. UNACCEPTABLE

Worst app ever. Not user friendly, can’t seem to view any transactions beyond the last day or so, can’t load funds even though it says you can (have to pay from bank acct) and slow. Was forced to change when CIBC prepaid card was eliminated. No issues with that one.

Do not be tempted!. Too bad that there are no minus stars available. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the reviews before becoming involved: The app is beyond horrible. The account is worse. Transferred $$ from my CIBC chequing account a week ago, and the prepaid card still shows a nil balance. Total waste of my time.

Worst support ever. I called support and experienced the worst customer support I've ever recorded in my life. She was cutting me off when I was talking and eventually I didn't receive any help, just recurved sense of resilience and insult. Stay away, her a TD USD credit card, this isn't worth it, given the fact that they sell you currencies, you initially pay for the conversion anyways.

Everything worked for me. I don’t usually write reviews, but I noticed there were a lot of negative reviews for this app so I figured I would share my positive experience. I had a trip planned through Germany and Belgium and I got this card for that reason. The card was shipped quickly, I loaded funds onto the card twice, and both times the funds were transferred within two days. I also used it at probably 15-20 merchants across both countries and never had an issue. Also, the FX conversion rate that I got through this card was much better than what I could have gotten through my regular credit card, ordering foreign cash from the bank, or exchanging funds directly at the airport. I would definitely, and have recommended it to others.

Worst prepaid Visa card. Unable to fund CAD instantly, high exchange rate

Worst app. Thought this would be a user friendly, easy app to navigate. It’s not. Keeps crashing, terrible instructions and lack of support.

RBC doesnt recognize this card as a payee. Frustrating app that doesnt work.. Royal Bank doesnt recognize this card to link to transfer funds

Confusing.. This app needs lots of work. 1. Don’t need to see how much is on it in Canadian, need to see the currency I bought. 2. Need a choice of which account the money comes out of to buy currency I want. Can only use checking. 3. Should be able to tap on the wallet and see balance of funds on the card in that currency. 4. Need to be able to add to Apple wallet. Please fix this. Losing the pre-paid Smart card is bad enough without jumping through hoops to understand the replacement. On another note, customer service is awesome!!

Necessary App to manage your card on the Go. This App is necessary IF you want to manage your AC Conversion card On the Go However, it is Very Slow and basic info about how much is in each wallet is not easy to find. Please update and improve this App

Adding USD. How do I add USD using USD? Can I only load USD using CAD? Update: seriously, how do I add USD using USD?

Replaced previous CIBC currency cards. I got this card since CIBC discontinued the previous cards. I thought at first that this was great as I could use one card instead of several but I am very disappointed. I withdrew cash in Mexico and it charged me a converversion from peso to cad and back to peso. I called in and they said it’s because I didn’t select the right option at the ATM. No problem, if it’s my fault then I’m in the wrong. I followed their instructions and did exactly what they told me the next time I withdrew money and it charged me all the conversions again. I have found it works about as often as it doesn’t work when attempting to use it as a credit card. Meaning I attempt to use it and card isn’t accepted and I need to use my other credit card anyways. Also, when putting money on the card it takes forever. It was instantaneous before with the old cards, however I “bill paid” from my CIBC account to my AC conversion card over a week ago and the funds still haven’t hit the card. Very very disappointed in this card. I will probably cancel it and try to find something else instead.

Do not recommend. I used the card once then my card was frozen. I’ve been trying to get my account unfrozen for a week now. I’ve called multiple times. Sent multiple emails verifying my identity. They still won’t release my money.

Cumbersome to use. The app works but it is so poorly designed that it takes time to figure it out. For instance, it does not accurately show you current balance when it opens. One has to go to card balance and specify the card of interest. The system is also cumbersome. One has to transfer money to the card using the bill payment feature of CIBC account. It takes one week for the funds to reach the card. To have such a primitive system should be embarrassing to CIBC. Why can’t you fix and improve this very useful card?

Useless App. The app won’t let me see my wallets. It said I had a balance in Canadian dollars but I only have funds in US and € yet I could not see the breakdown. I had to log on via the web page. Come on CIBC, your name is on this, fix it!

Poor testing of this app CIBC on first impression. Adding card to payee and using SMS or phone push did not work as I kept getting logged out waiting for it (2 hours and no sms). Gladly the “call me” feature worked immediately. Once added, I did an immediate bill payment/transfer to add C$ funds to the account which should show up instantly I would think given it is a CIBC to CIBC bill payment / transfer (and the app was developed may CIBC), but still waiting for it to show up 2 hour later and no comment after doing it regarding expected wait time. Face recognition at least works. Will update review after the transfer completes.

Hazardous to your vacation!. Without any doubt this is the worst app with horrible service from CIBC and AC. As soon as I return from Europe it will be cut in little pieces and displayed at my local CIBC branch. This is my second year and after similar experiences last year, was assured the problem were corrected. Not so ! Terrible response time from “customer service”. Shame on you CIBC and Air Canada.

Not working. This app does not let me login with the sane credential that I use to login on the web page!

Can’t sign into app. Useless. Says I have entered the wrong username/password even though it’s exactly the same one that works on the website.

Not user friendly. I just got this card and was hopeful - until I tried to load funds. Very long and confusing and frustrating process. Called Customer Service on Sat and was told the tech department need to fix a glitch so I would NOT be able to access my funds for 3 days. Not how I want to spend my time on a holiday. Glad I only loaded a small amount to see how it works and will NOT be loading any more. Hope they fix all the glitches

Need a LOT of Work to Fix. Simply pathetic and not very user friendly. Why when you load Canadian funds from an active personal account at the same bank you’ll have to wait up to a week to see said funds appear on the AC card?

Doesn’t log in. I can’t log in, password and user name is correct because I just reset it again. 0 stars

Very user unfriendly. Loading the card is a complicated process.

Not good. Everything is good until make payment.

Loading takes forever. Loading takes 3-4 business days. Pfft the smart prepaid visa was instant. The app has to be the worst card of any type app. Highly unlikely to recommend to anyone until they get it fixed.

Can’t load Canadian funds??. Was forced to change from Smart Prepaid card to this. While the multiple currencies is great, you can’t load Canadian funds directly - you have to set it up as a bill payment which then takes 4-5 business days to actually load onto the card. Also, having to use a separate app that’s not connected to online banking is another hassle. Two big flaws that seems easily fixed (since the old cards had these features), in my opinion.

Incapable transfert de portefeuille. Par site web va super bien mais sur application incapable de faire un transfert de portefeuille dans aucune devise. Passé 30 minutes avec un agent en ligne et pas capable de régler ça.

Not worth it. I recently got this card and they claim no service fees for transfer. I loaded $100 through bill pay. Then I compared buying at the bank vs. converting the $100 in the app to USD. It was a difference of 1.30 less that I would get in USD with this card. How is that that an additional fee???

Worst decision by CIBC. CIBC other prepaid visa’s were a lot better but for some reason they replaced those with this garbage. With the other cards you could load finds on the fly and get access to your money right away. This card you have to load funds via bill payment on the CIBC app and then wait several days to get access to your money which beats the purpose of having a travel visa.

Not enough currencies. Does not meet its potential. Please add more different currencies.

Not user Friendly, Terrible!. Hard to log on, then it locked me out. Confusing how to load card for Canadian Dollars. This card is very difficult. I was using the Cibc Smart Prepaid Card and it was the best. Now their replacing it with this. So disappointing.

Just horrible. Shame on CIBC for using this card and shame on who ever developed this horrible app.
