Horrible experience. So my daughter flew in from Sky Harbor to Fort Lauderdale Hollywood Airport for my youngest daughter’s birthday the flight here was fine however everyone here in Fort Lauderdale knows the Fort Lauderdale airport was flooded and hundreds of flights canceled . ( not their fault they can’t control the weather, right ) however the app showed the flight for today back to Sky Harbor was still good. Then on the flight status I looked it up to confirm it was still good and saw in fact it wasn’t and it’s been canceled . Nothing showed up in the actual app . Then trying to find out what to do to get a replacement flight for a future date an automated message said a email would be sent to whoever did the booking. It was but was sent to junk mail. We didn’t get any of this information until the flight had already left bigger problem is it wasn’t out of Fort Lauderdale Hollywood international airport anymore. It was scheduled to leave Miami not Fort Lauderdale. We have no idea what to do or who to talk to because no human is behind the customer care .

Make it Make Sense. Look, we all get it. If we’re willing to fly Frontier, we’re willing to sacrifice for comfort. That’s not what this review is about. The app is just silly and could be easily improved if the developers just fixed the coding. 1) Please remove the departure flight boarding pass once the flight is complete. When we checked in at security for our return flight, the app automatically pulls up the old boarding pass and it’s not intuitive / easy to rapidly access the correct (return flight) boarding pass. 2) Our flight was delayed (duh, it’s Frontier… we expect it) but the app doesn’t update flight info to let you know about the delay. We found out at the gate, and then I had to confirm via Google by searching the flight number with not a single mention of the delay on the app itself. A web browser shouldn’t be more up to date than the live ticket on the app. Just make it make sense Frontier, it’s not that hard to at least have your electronic ducks in a row.

Recent travels. Good Day, I just wanted to report that my first time flying Frontier was a horrible experience. Got to the airport 3 hours earlier the line was wrapped around 4x’s. Trying to check your bag is horrifying with the short staff and a couple of the kiosk were down/out of paper slowed down the process. It was no reason for me to miss my flight especially after my friend who went ahead and her husband stayed behind with me said that it was hardly anyone on the plan and they left late. When we finally got to the desk we were told that it was too late. I asked the rep did you make an announcement like they just did about if you are going to Bahamas please come to the front. She said yes. I said how do anyone supposed to hear it if you don’t make an overhead announcement. She shrugged her shoulders… I figured out that it’s a scam to get more money.. the next flight wasn’t going out until 10 pm that night. With a 6 pm engagement I had to get another flight… Not to mention coming back on frontier.. They delayed the flight twice. In the airport from Bahamas since 8:15 for our 12:47 flight. We dare not miss another one. Laying over in Orlando 🤦from 2 pm to 8:05 and in Atlanta we had to stay on the plane 1 hour before getting off and another 40 minutes at baggage claims.. RIDICULOUS!! I got home around 1 am.. You get what you pay for. Shalonda

Slowest Most aggravating website. I timed out. It would not complete the sale so I finally started over. That time it kept saying I was not putting my password in correctly. I have facial recognition and I had just used it successfully. Got a temporary password and it wouldn’t take the copied and pasted temporary password. Got a second temporary password. Would not take a new reset password. Tried 3 passwords before it would take one that was only a slight different from the first two. Finally in. This time it said I needed to pay for a new discount den. I finally just paid it. If I needed to renew Discount Den, why didn’t it tell me that the first time? I think this airline is a rip off and in the past when I have called for assistance I have only gotten a run around. This time I would have given up and gone elsewhere but I had already invested so much time, literally hours, to get when I needed to fly. I will be checking other airlines and if I can fly on another airline I will.

Leave your money at the door. My granddaughter bought me this ticket. This is my first time with Frontier and I haven’t even flown yet upon this review. The reason I am writing this before flying is because I’ve already hit several snags before boarding. Unfortunately, my granddaughter when purchasing my ticket didn’t realize it didn’t include a carry-on. Apparently on Frontier when booking a ticket for 10 days and flying over 1200 miles one way you don’t need clothes, toiletries or other important items you might take in your carry-on. When you pay to take a carry-on you don’t even get the luxury of the same size or weight with your carry-on as other airlines. Frontier sizes and weights are smaller and lighter. Although I believe, Boeing and Lockheed, who make jets make the same jets for all airlines. I just hope my flight will change my mind. There has to be something special about this airline that you have to pay for every little thing. If anything changes after my flight, I will change my review.

Great experience. I flew from SFO TO DENVER TO CANCUN and back the same route, all with Frontier and from the airline attendants to the pilots to the ticket counters were by far the best. No glitches except one thing 2 gate changes that wasn’t announced at the airport and my sister & I were sitting where the ticket said where we were supposed to board until I saw the sign that said a different destination. I had to ask and the person at the boarding section said it’s at a different gate I asked why wasn’t it announced, he apologized and announced it and he was very nice about, I had search for the other gate change. But all in all it was a great experience with Frontier Airlines I will go frontier whenever I’m able to. Thank you Frontier airlines

Some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.. Was trying to book a flight on my iPad app, wanted to accept offer for MasterCard. Filled out card application , hit submit and nothing. Called customer service multiple times over 2 week period , when they didn’t hang up on me, or when I wasn’t on hold forever, or when I could understand them (many speak English poorly) , the reps I did talk to couldn’t help me. I was also emailing customer service this whole time , they were no help either. Finally they said contact Barclays directly, so I did. They had a different offer for the MasterCard and only that offer available. Not the offer I wanted or was originally offered. Finally got my card with a point deal that was not the one I wanted. By now the direct flights I wanted were full and of course Frontier wouldn’t do anything about it. You get what you pay for. I would be ashamed if I was in upper management at Frontier.

Worst Airline. Had the worst experience on our flights to and from Denver- to JAX. May 6-13 flight 474 and 475. Got to denver 2 hours early, so 4 am with an 18 month old. Checked in online did the kiosk for baggage , oh that cost $588 extra😡 ONE person working the baggage drop and took 1 hour 40 minutes in line to just drop the bags. Unacceptable!!! Rushed to TSA security only to wait again!!! Not a Frontier issue. We boarded the plane with 6 minutes to spare, got seated in our $288 seats only to sit for ANOTHER 40 minutes waiting for other passengers to connect from a late flight probably due to understaffing where that flight left from. By now the baby is so done with sitting. And we now have a 3 hour flight, no drinks were offered while we waited. When we finally took off and got beverage service, now $3.25 for a friggin soda. Flight home we had the nastiest 3 flight attendants ever , they need to retire if they hate people so much😡😡 You can keep you horrible fee inundated airline, will never get another dime of my money.

Absolutely horrific customer service!. Was on the chat line for almost 2 hours… Because of course now you can’t even use a phone number to speak to an actual person. Two people on the other end could not figure out why I couldn’t check in for my flight tomorrow. And it showed that frontier owed me $39. And they also had me in the wrong seat in the middle of some people. They don’t have me sitting with my cousin, and I paid for my seat! Long story short, I was the one who figured out the problem and changed my seat to an aisle seat the $39 refund came off and the money part was rectified and I was able to check in on my I’ll seat, ON MY OWN!!!! I have been a den member since 2014 and advocated for Frontier….well, NO MORE! SIMPLY AWFUL NOT BEING ABLE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE ON THE PHONE. And all of this because the flight that we took to Florida was canceled and we had to change the flight back as well! I also spent over two hours on the chat line yesterday trying to understand why a $50 certificate given to us for compensation for the canceled flight can only be used towards the base fare which of course was only $10! And you cannot save the remaining part of the certificate it must be used at one time. I now believe that frontier airline should be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

Don’t count on your original flight booking. We booked direct flights back in November from Chicago to Miami. Hotel stays and rental car all based around our bookings. I got an email six weeks prior to our trip saying we now were connecting in ORLANDO with a 7 hour delay and getting into Miami at Midnight. Then when we flew back going from Miami to LAS VEGAS and then over to Chicago arriving the next morning. We had no other options to cancel or reschedule for any other flights. Our flight from Orlando to Miami ended up being cancelled so we cancelled our rental in Miami and got another from Orlando and drove in instead for the last leg of the journey. After paying for carry on bags we could have booked flights with American or united for connection flights and dependable service for cheaper. We booked frontier because it was direct. Trying to speak to anyone in customer service was an absolute waste of time on the phone or at a desk. No one cares at all. I work in transportation and understand the challenges of our world today. But customer service and even having a slight bit of compassion or empathy to the situation people are in is what wins your reputation as being an airline to go back to. We will NEVER fly Frontier again and will be sure to share with everyone why they shouldn’t either. Incredibly disappointing.

Dreadful. I travel a couple of times a year and book through other airline apps routinely with no problem. This one, however, was an exercise in frustration- and ultimately- in futility. The app does not recognize you or your device, so when it times out because it stubbornly refuses to advance to the next page, you have to start all over again. There is no acknowledgement at any point that you are actually logged in. There is no way to compare prices between a standard fare and THE WORKS, which they tout as being a great buy but most definitely is not. The biggest frustration, however, is the inability to move beyond the screen where you add your baggage (because you pay extra if you don’t do it before you get to the airport!). I tried FOUR times to buy my ticket, but tapping the NEXT button did nothing to advance to the next screen. If this garbage app is indicative of the kind of dumbassery I can expect when I get to the airport, I don’t think I care to fly with this airline. I am deleting the app and paying extra to fly with another carrier who doesn’t make me worry if their stupid app has even booked me a ticket when I get to the airport.

Do not fly on Frontier. Whatever you do, do not fly on frontier. It is easy to get suckered in with the initial low prices, but you will end up paying a similar rate to anyone else, and if your flight is not cancelled, you will arrive broken and angry. Frontier has shifted their business model over the past few years to be as customer-maddening as possible. After you get through the initial up-charges for things like having a carry-on, checking a bag, checking a bag over 40 lbs, and talking with a human ($20-$40 depending on if you know you want to talk with someone before you get to the airport), you are met with a glitchy website and app with absolutely no way to talk with a human on the phone. Frontier also likes to do the bait-and-switch with their flights: I am writing this angry review after missing my flight that Frontier said was delayed for 2 hours until 30 minutes before the flight took off at its original time. Since I quickly ran to the customer service desk, I beat the other unlucky potential passengers that also missed the flight, and was rescheduled (for a $100 booking fee) on a flight that will get me to my kids 12 hours after I told them I would be home. My only comfort is knowing that the insanely hard plastic seats will put me in such physical pain that I will forget the emotional toil I have been through today. Frontier- Just say NO

Canceled Flight. I am so upset about this Airline. I flew from Pa to San Diego for my brothers passing. I didn’t make it . My heart hurts. On our way back home, they kept saying delay after delay, then they canceled it at the last minute. People were lined up and trying to get somewhere and they say if its weather related they can’t help anyone. I was already a mess because of loosing my brother but then after waiting 12 hours they finally cancelled the flight. They didn’t care what we had to do but we weren’t going no where. We had no extra money for anything but we were blessed to have family to help us. Never again will we ride that plane!!!! As we got our luggage they tore it up and refused to replace it. So our flight was cancelled after 12 hours and our baggage is in the trash . They say normal wear and tear isn’t there fault . We just bought luggage to go there. I’m so upset, paying for our luggage and then they tear it up , I’m so mad and hurt. Believe me , it’s horrible

Delayed flights and Dirty Seats. I just flew home on frontier yesterday. I had a connection in Denver. Both of my flights were delayed. But what bothered me most was the dirty seats on my first flight out of Austin. When boarding I noticed that the entire row of seats I was in were full of crumbs including the floor. When I brought it to the attention of the flight attendant she just explained that children had been sitting there on the previous flight and handed me some paper towels to clean the seats myself. She mad no attempt to help me nor did she apologize for the seats not being cleaned before we boarded. An airline not cleaning the seats and floors between flights is not only unprofessional but it is unacceptable. And for the flight attendant to not even be concerned that the seats were not cleaned is unbelievable. It felt disgusting to sit in these seats and put my bag under the seat in front of me with so much food crumbs on the carpet. I really don’t want to fly frontier again nor would I recommend it to anyone!

Do Not Use APP For Boarding Pass!!!. This app cost me my flight back with perk bundle, another ticket with another (but reliable) airline and a hotel night. I checked in online few hours prior to my MIA to PHL. I have TSA Pre check, when I got there, the app would not load my flights or find my boarding pass. This used to happen at times, the app would have forget who I was. This time, it was critical and the app kept giving me an error. Come to find out, other passengers on the same flight had the same issue. We headed to Frontier counter 35 minutes before departure, no one to be found, we were told by other airlines representatives that frontier personal left about 15 minutes prior!! We called frontier, after a looong wait, we were told that we will miss the flight, that the flight is not refundable, we have to pay a $110 fee to be placed on another flight 2 DAYS LATER!! other passengers managed to get a credit for their missed flight, I was not as lucky, and person I spoke with told me IT WAS MY FAULT TO TRUST THEIR APP WITH MY BOARDING PASS!! To add insult to injury, frontier lost my suitcase on the way to MIA (direct flight). They found it yet 5 days after my flight and I am still waiting for my bag back. I will never FlyFrontier again. Do yourself a favor and print your boarding pass or at least take a screenshot. Better yet spend a little more and travel with a real airline in peace.

NEVER USE APP OR THIS AIRLINE. Never again will we fly Frontier. Tried to check into our flights the day before leaving, the app wouldn’t allow it so we contacted Frontier Airline customer support. They told us this happens a lot, that the flight was still on and to show up to the airport at least 3 hours early to check in. We arrived to the airport and nobody was at the frontier desk. We were told by airport employees that the flight was still on and that frontier should be at the desk anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours before the flight. We were nervous so we began to contact Frontiers customer support. We waiting on hold until an hour and a half before the flight before being told by a frontier employee that the flight was canceled (months ago) but the day before was told it was still active and to come to the airport. When we became upset over this the frontier employee cancelled our flights on the spot, told us we couldn’t talk to a manager, informed us we were not getting our money back and hung up on us. This entire experience (our honeymoon) was then completely shifted because we needed to buy tickets that day at the airport (for a huge markup). Worst flying experience of our life. This is by far the worst airline, customer support, app, service you could use. Save yourself the headache, debt and stress. They will literally steal your money USE ANY OTHER AIRLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never fly Frontier. I am a business traveler and fly nearly every week. I am usually on Southwest or United. I decided to book a last minute trip on Frontier for a good friend’s birthday party. The flight was from Denver to Phoenix and I paid $343 for my round trip ticket so not particularly cheap. I only packed a backpack as it was a one night trip. Giselle was the gate agent working flight F9 755 out of Denver on Nov 26, 2022. She required my standard Ogio backpack fit in the narrow personal item bin. At first it didn’t fit but I told her I can rearrange it to make it more narrow. I did and it fit but she said I had to pay $100 for a carryon bag. The other gate agent saw it fit and told Giselle she should let me board. Giselle refused and then closed the doors on me and would not let me board the plane. The other gate agent was shocked. Giselle should be fired or retrained in customer service. I found out later that the gate agents are paid a commission on each bag fee they get. Congrats Frontier, you have lost a potential customer for life and I will tell everyone willing to listen to never fly your airline. I missed to party and never flew out.

BEWARE OF SCAMS. Our flight from Boston was canceled and we called the customer service line for Frontier, on this call the representative attempted to scam us out of thousands of dollars. He offered us a switch to the “parent company”where there were last minute seats, “usually saved for commercial partners”. We were desperate and he took full advantage. He asked to call us back, which he did, but we didn’t notice it was a different number. He tried to have us pay over $2,000. We recognized it was a scam just before payment, but he used real flight information and just told us the destination was different. Please be aware to anyone that calls the customer service line, if they offer to help you and it seems too good to be true, it is. To be so bold as to use customer service lines and call back on a new number to finalize the deal is horrible. A member of our party will be contacting Frontier shortly with all information surrounding this.

Disappointed. We went to buy tickets for almost HALF of what we paid. Those weren’t available. So, we had to buy more expensive ones. We had a week cut out for a family member who was having health problems. Two of those days were stolen from us. We had aircraft maintenance issues. We managed to get two of those days back through the airline. We were charged for EVERYTHING. We had to pay for luggage AND carry-ins. If we wanted anything but water, you charged for that. THEN, to sit together on our flight, we had to pay MORE. We were booked on opposite seats on the aircraft. This is by FAR, my worst flying experience. I have flown all around the world and this airline has EVERYONE beat in the “screw the customer” game. Never again will we fly Frontier. Oh, by the way, there wasn’t even any comfort in your flight. It was miserable. Not hacking on you…just giving you HONEST feedback. Because you seem to struggle with that word it’s h-o-n-e-s-t.

Worst airline. Anytime they take away a phone number for you to talk to a real life person you should run not walk away. I’ve watched as this once decent airline sank to the lowest level of client service and dignity, more than any other airline I’ve ever dealt with. Against my better judgment my wife and I booked our family on a trip which they canceled, and upon trying to receive a refund would only let us buy other tickets that they offered that don’t fit your schedule (most of the options include convenient 12-24 hour layovers). So here’s how it goes, they can change their flight on you and keep your money, But you can’t change your flight on them without paying them extra. And, for the cherry on top, you can only deal with a robot online to try and navigate their systems. They’ve eliminated all possibility of getting a hold of a real person to work things out. This is now definitely my last ever frontier airlines flight, good riddance frontier! Good luck with your business, your going to need it!

Disappointed. So the last two weeks I’ve had three flight with frontier. First one was delayed 30mins, no one told us why. The second flight was delayed an hour and once again didn’t know why. It would be nice to know why a flight is delayed. Then when we we’re getting off the second flight they told us the wrong baggage claim number. Stood there for 10mins and then realized that we were standing at the wrong one. Then the last flight coming home. We got on the plane on time. I was thinking maybe we’ll actually leave on time. Nope, the captain told us they were waiting to fuel up which takes 15mins but we had to wait for fueling truck to even get there and so we sat there for 30mins and then we start moving and get to a certain point and the captain goes, “ so there’s a storm, so all planes are taking off on the same runway.” So it was another 20 to 30mins to actually take off. We sat on that plane for an hour before we even took off. The storm obviously isn’t the captains fault but they shouldn’t have boarded the plane until the fueling had been complete. I’m usually a pretty patient person, delays happen but 3 out of 3 of my flight were delayed. No one likes to have a delayed flight. There needs to be better communication between the airline and it passengers on why a flight is delayed. Just very disappointed with the airline. Love the cheap prices but I wouldn’t recommend this airline.

Never again. I was charged a carry-on bag fee for a backpack that “didn’t fit”. It was 11:08, one minute past the time they said the doors were supposed to close and they still had about 20 people to check in and load. Everyone was rushing. I was next in line and someone pointed at me and about 7 other passengers in line and just said “your backpacks don’t fit and you need to pay for them.” Wouldn’t even let me put it in the slot to show him that it did. He said I had to either pay or miss my flight because there was no time. I have never been treated like this with frontier in my life. I got off the airline and showed the gate agent here at Denver airport and she agreed that it fit and said to contact you. Below is the photographic evidence of my bag sitting in the Personal bag slot just like it always does, and always has. I absolutely respect your policy which is why I follow it and I’ve never had an issue. But what kind of airline doesn’t give their customer the benefit of the doubt especially when the airline is running late? See photos below. I have had friends say that frontier has screwed them and I have defended you guys every time. If my business isn’t worth $99 especially with the evidence that I provided, then you don’t deserve my business or my companies and you are worthy of the reputation you are quickly gaining. Terrible. I spent about 6 hours today trying to book a flight, tried using both the app and the website, tried using a tablet, a phone and a computer. Nothing worked correctly and they all just kept crashing every time. Even tried chatting with a customer rep. Waited an hour for someone to finally respond. He wasn’t even paying attention to my messages and kept responding with incorrect info. For example, he tried to book me and charge me for my flight without even asking me any questions on which times or baggage options or seats I would select! Then while we were in the middle of booking, he asked me something I had to look up. Took me about 20 seconds but he just responded saying “Looks like you’re not there anymore, so good-bye”. Geez, after I waited an hour to talk to this person, he just hangs up after waiting 20 sec for my response. I always encounter technical problems trying to book a flight with their app, but this was the worse experience I’ve had trying to book a flight with any airline.

San Diego to Branson round trip. I took my first trip on Frontier Airlines two weeks ago. I have always flown USAirways, American or United prior to that. Well I was blown away by the service! I traveled to Branson, Mo and the plane was on time! I had requested wheelchair service and when we landed, the wheelchair and flight attendant were right there waiting for me! On the trip home, my friend went to park the car and then come back to help me. The attendants at the desk saw me standing by the door and came over to grab my bags and help me to the checkpoint! My friend barely made it back to say goodbye to me! We left on time and when we arrived in San Diego, we were early. Again the wheelchair and attendant were waiting for me. I have never had such a smooth flight with such nice people helping me! I plan to fly with them again real soon!💕

Why is it glitching out!!!!!. I usually don’t have any issues with the app. Especially compared to other airlines, yet this past week Oct 20th, I’ve had to login via the website because the app keeps crashing. I called the 800 number to let them know, as this has been going on since Monday. To not avail, it hasn’t been fixed. I’ve had to go to the counter to retrieve my tickets. This is an inconvenience, as I have clear & TSA & I enjoy utilizing my mobile device to have my tickets handy. Fast forward to today Sat Oct 23, I’m trying to purchase 2 flights on the app. I get all the way to the payment only for it to glitch, close and completely log me out. I try it again. This time I can’t login it keeps glitching out. What’s really going on, help paying customers out. I’m not just casually scrolling and gazing, I’m trying to make a purchase. Please fix this as of now this exact moment 7:24 MTN time on Oct 23rd it’s not sufficient or operable.

Duplicate reservation made due to system error message. I tried to book a flight and purchase the Discount Den membership and after clicking on Pay, I received an error message saying Frontier could not connect to the server and nothing was booked. I went through the whole process again and was able to book the flight and purchase the DD membership. Then I see I have two reservations for the same flight, same day, and both include the purchase of the DD membership. Tried to use the chat for assistance to cancel the duplicate booking and get a refund, but agent Jennifer never responded. Then I figured out how to delete the duplicate reservation and did so, but I have no confirmation email that it is cancelled and no confirmation that I will receive a refund. In addition, I tried to book a return flight and the system would not allow me to select the DD price without agreeing to purchase the membership again! Had to purchase at full price and hopefully get the difference in price refunded. Not happy at all with Frontier’s system and lack of support.

Bugs bugs and bugs. Not sure why but I don’t receive anything to my email even when I manually ask for my ticket info or boarding pass to be emailed to me. I am also not always able to login which is a problem if you try to retrieve your boarding pass at the airport. I had to login on my laptop and take a picture or go to the counter and get a paper print of my boarding pass. It is also very much a pain to have to give your last name and booking number to retrieve your flights when you are already logged into your account. That should be automatic. Also I have gost profiles on this app with just my name and phone number. When I open those gost profiles, the green button for delete is hidden by the bottom ribbon with all the icons and I cannot use it to delete those profiles. When I called Frontier, they told me to delete the app and reinstall it. Each time I did that it created a new gost profile. Altogether this app doesn’t work well and I expected more from Frontier.

Unorganized. I was VERY disappointed at the MADHOUSE that I walked into at the Frontier Ticketing/Baggage Area this morning. Our flight was scheduled to depart at 7:27 am and we made it to the airport at 5:15am. There was no organization at all! People were EVERYWHERE!! You couldn’t tell where the lines started or ended and people were cursing each other and very irate. My 7 months pregnant daughter was traveling with me as well and I was fearful that if a fight broke out her and my unborn grandbaby would possibly be injured. Thank God that wasn’t the case! This was my first time flying with Frontier and although the actual flight and attendants were all very nice, I don’t think I’ll EVER be flying with you all again! I don’t like unorganized events. Again it was a MADHOUSE! I learned that There was a Nationals Cheerleading Championship going on along with Spring Break so the powers that be should’ve planned for the mass of people that were gonna be present. Our flight was also delayed for over 2 hours due to tire maintenance (so we were told). People were laid out like flies everywhere. Thanks goodness we did FINALLY make it home safely!

Beware-App reviews do not match others reviews!!. Purchased 2 tickets with “the works package” because we needed flexibility to change flights due to sick relative. Nearly 2 days before the scheduled flight we needed to change the travel dates. I Used the App’s selected the existing reservation and the “change your flight workflow”. It gave me a new confirmation number with the requested dates— Unbeknownst to me it issued an entirely new flight (double booking). And DIDNT CANCEL the other flight. 24 hours before the flight I received the “check in”. email when I called Frontier to inquire what the issue was they said I didn’t cancel with more than 24 hours therefore they were charge a cancellation fee of $500! For their faulty workflow. Asked to escalate the call to a supervisor was told “we will all tell you the same thing”. And they did. They wouldn’t provide address to complain and were uninterested in the IT issue. Filled an FTC report!

Freezes. The application freezes a lot and times out. This is especially frustrating and inconvenient and brings a lot of anxiety when you have your boarding pass open and are about to present it to the TSA agent. The application freezes or boots you out and wont let you back in. It’s pretty bad when you have to literally step aside and there are hundreds if not over a thousand people behind you and the TSA agent even informs you that the Frontier application is known for locking up and kicking you out and such. Pretty bad when you have to catch a flight and you cant bring your boarding pass back up. The TSA agent informed me that if i can get the frontier app to open and show my boarding pass to take a screenshot of it because the frontier app is known for these issues. So as i sit here now im at work doing this review im going to see if i can get my boarding pass to come up and screenshot it before i get to the airport because the app cant be trusted when you are standing in line and get to the TSA agent.

Dislike frontier. Flying because it’s the only option. Rating has nothing to do with app. I hate the “upswell” tactics of frontier beyond belief..... here is an advertised cheap flight.....oh you expected normal accommodations like a carryon bag and picking your seat at check in.....that’s going to double your cost of ticket and that’s only if you buy it in a bundle with a checked bag.....check your bag now or get charged more.....we are military and per info on the site get all of that stuff for free....even after opting out still being prompted really really grinds my gears.....I said no. In so frustrated that frointier is a budget airline and really after you buy normal accommodations it’s maybe $20 than delta aa United. It bothers me that the customer base is built on a lie and then charging what a real airline is for 2nd rate service. /end rant

The Worst of the worst!!!!. Let’s start with how I purchased a nonstop flight from Cancun Mexico almost 2 months ago and two weeks before my trip I get a text and email stating changes to my flight that they made without any warning that now has a layover connecting flight in Florida. I never fly connecting flights because of the hassle! Then I think Frontier train their employees to be rude because no one was nice. This is not even the bad part…. Once we finally reached our destination after a flight that took 9 hours that originally supposed to only took 2 and a half.. we got to baggage claim and waited another hour and a half only for them to say that our bags and the other connections passengers bags didn’t make it from Florida! Talking about livid!!!! Then 20 minutes after all of us going back and forth with them , our bag’s finally appear on the belt they told us it would. I will never fly this airline again i don’t care if they were passing out free tickets! This airline disgusts me!!!

Bad info. When choosing the ‘perks’ bundle on the app, when managing a reservation by adding seats and bags, it clearly says that checked bag and carryon bag and seats (specifically INCLUDING stretch/exit seats). When choosing this option and the stretch seats they are apparently NOT included in the bundle. I refreshed several times and spoke with two customer service reps who assured me that THEIR computer says that stretch and exit seats are extra, not included in the bundle. I wouldn’t have been disappointed if the description doesn’t clearly say that they are included. To include these seats would have cost MORE with the “perk” bundle than if I purchased seats and carryon bags separately ($336 versus $399!). I asked to speak to a supervisor several times and the very polite service rep said that they would tell me the same thing and that I should reserve seats and bags on the website, not the app. Confusing!!! I just wanted to let someone who understood know that the app is apparently wrong, the rep agreed with me…….

Horrible experience. My flight got delayed 16 hours and I missed my cruise. They offer no refund no resolution or anything. We were actually on the plane and they were technical difficulties that they had to fix that the latest 30 minutes, they stated that they need to refill the plane that was another 30 minutes we’re on the plane for an hour waiting to takeoff then it starts storming is delayed again now the pilots ran out of flight time so they cannot fly us legally and we had to get off the plane and it was delayed until the nice day. We were stranded at the airport, customer service kept hanging up on us and the women at the desk were no help they kept stating that they were tired and ready to go home. This was the worst experience of my life,From an airline and unfortunately there were other people with children and I will lose my mind if that was me I do not recommend for anybody. If you do just be prepare for you to actually be on a plane ready to takeoff and end up having to turn around and be stuck at the airport for 16 hours with no one to cate

Not worth it, not even in the slightest!. Unless you are traveling only with an extra pair of underwear, do not under any other circumstances consider Frontier or Spirit. They charge outrageous fees for everything, so only consider if traveling with a personal item only. Spirit lost our luggage, then a week later when they found it, sent it to a different state where another random passenger texted us and said they sent it to him. Now we’re in line for Frontier at CLT where it’s supposed to be kiosk-friendly for boarding passes and checked luggage…nope! Not a single freaking kiosk and two single agents processing hundreds! We were here 4 hours early, just in case, and they had a sign saying they didn’t freaking open until 2 hours before our flight. We checked back almost 3 hours ahead of time, and they had actually opened…only to have hundreds of people ahead of us and now worries about missing our flight! These two budget carriers are not worth the perceived savings!

Chat with customer service is the worst. Listen, I lovedFrontier. Despite the nickel and dime-ing, despite some crazy flights and uncomfortable seats—I have loved Frontier. But the online chat now is enough to make me pay triple for another airline that can communicate consistently. The online chat, for one, does not allow you to leave the screen for any reason before to get the “connection lost, trying to reconnect” message. Even (gasp) Spirit uses integrated texts so you can go about your day rather than be held captive for extensive amounts of time, or being bounced from rep to rep. I have received sooooo many different responses to the same issue, that I cannot trust anything anymore. I keep going around in circles until you randomly get a competent representative. (I’ve done customer service in my lifetime, I know it’s not fun, but this is ridiculous). At least allow the app to work with customer service and credit/voucher options. It shouldn’t be this hard to give you business.

Several issues. Frontier is not my normal airline, simply because they don’t normally go where my job takes me. Using the app I had several problems. Checking in for my flight went as you would expect. Click to check in. Receive Offer to buy a seat and other last minute things. But, the Frontier app was very aggressive in offering me upgrades multiple times. It also offered me a bundle when I had previously purchased the carry on a la carte. Was it trying to double sell? The second issue was this: It seems that after you check in and get your boarding pass, if you disconnect from frontier via internet, the app will say the session is expired, and will no longer display the boarding pass until you reconnect. Airports have signal dead zones, interference, yada yada - that’s life. I never lost strong cell signal, but it doesn’t reflect any hiccups. Also, my phone recognized airport wifi and tried to connect… unsuccessfully. Not retaining my boarding pass was a problem because at TSA, I lost my digital boarding pass. Later, I needed to know my gate to find my flight. Looks like I had disconnected again. Sorry!

Unintuitive and Uninformative. The app does the bare minimum to be helpful, but when it comes to staying on-top of flight information, it is lacking. The UI is hard to navigate to find the information you’re looking for and there is no updated information when flights are delayed. When you go to the “My Flights” tab, it doesn’t show updated flight info. I find myself digging around to get flight information before giving up and just going to Google flights to get the most updated information. Overall, it’s fine for booking flights but when it comes to quickly getting flight information, I’ll choose going to Google before going into this app which defeats the purpose of the app in the first place. Hopefully they update the UI / UX of the app at some point in time to make staying on top of flight information a lot less frustrating.

Worst airline ever - still fighting for my refund without resolution. Frontier is the worst airline I’ve ever used! After our flight back from Orlando weeks ago I noticed an unauthorized charge on my credit card from them. There is no phone number so I had to online chat someone to figure out what the $99 charge was even for. They then said it was for an oversized or overweight bag charge. Not one person ever said anything about our personal items being too big. No one ever had us check them in container before boarding. And no one ever notified me that they were charging my card $99. I have been emailing back and forth with them and they keep saying there is nothing I can do about getting refunded for the unauthorized charge. I would have to go back to Orlando ticket counter and talk to whomever charged my card which is impossible for me to do. This company has stolen money from me but charging my card unauthorized not notifying me of any charges and our bags were smaller than the advised personal item sizes. This has been such a nightmare trying to get my money refunded from this fraudulent charge without resolution weeks later. I will make sure everyone I know avoids flying frontier bc of this fraudulent charge to my card.

Boarding passes? Really. This app is mediocre at best. You would think a company as large as Frontier could hire some really good designers and coders to make their app work right. As is, it’s mediocre to downright terrible. The digital boarding pass is a major pain point. You should not have go through several steps in menu to locate boarding pass. You should not have to ever “retrieve” a flight with confirmation number. All your upcoming flights for the day should just be there when you login in. Also once you do find your boarding pass, you cannot add it to apple wallet. An error prevents it. So your stuck trying to pull it up later. Another major problem is flight info being cut off on right side of app. I’m using a big iPhone and no option to scroll over. Just unacceptable for an app from a big company. Frontier is big on cutting costs, but things still have to function properly. I’m not going to get into the other downsides of flying this airline but those negatives coupled with this app make me reconsider booking this airline again.

WORST EVER. First flying with this airline & it was the worst experience ever. I was placed on a night flight & I was to catch a shuttle that left 12:45am from the Atlanta airport. I was leaving from Connecticut. The delayed the flight 3 times! Not only did I miss the shuttle I had a 1yr old & an 11yr old. I couldn’t sleep in the airport with them until the next shuttle at 5. I had to take a Uber that cost almost $200 to go to Birmingham Alabama. Then coming back home delayed again & was transferred from D1 gate to another gate sat there for an hour then delayed again and was told the gate had changed again. Remember this is the Atlanta airport had to take the train again . Delayed again after new gate then then transferred again to a new gate. I was to leave Atlanta at 6am didn’t leave until minutes to 12 in the afternoon. There was no customer service nobody to talk nothing . We were just running all over the airport like idiots. That was first trip & last with this airline.

Not customer friendly!. Using the app to buy seats and carry-ons was not a good experience. You have to book separately for each leg of your flight. We booked outgoing seats and one carry on bag, advertised at $50 per bag and $21 for the seats we selected. That charge turned out to be $244. I went in to select seats and add a bag for our return trip (I was not informed and thought my purchase was for both flights- my fault) the next day. At that time, the cost had gone up and added another $360 or so to our cost. Live and learn- $58 tickets have now run me $750. BUT the seat selections for our departing flight disappeared. There is no phone number to talk to anyone and the chat says an agent wi be with you shortly, but they never came on after several hours. I emailed, and the response time was advertised as 7 days. They did respond sooner, to tell us they see where we paid to downgrade our seats. I emailed a receipt and screen shot of the assigned seats. No response. The gate agent fixed it for us, thankfully. But the app is slow, cumbersome, and apparently glitchy. With no human customer service, it’s not worth the risk.

Flight cancelled - irregular operations. Flight was cancelled 12hrs before the flight. Not due to weather but instead a decision by the airline. Refund was offered but I had $600 worth of other things (hotel, car, dog boarding) booked which couldn’t be cancelled due to late notice. Ticket was only $165 so not much benefit in refund. Only flights they would rebook me on had connections which turned a 4hr direct flight into 12+ hours. How would I trust that my connection wouldn’t be cancelled and then I would be stuck in a foreign city. Some flights were 24+ hours with connection. Total bait and switch deal. Was never told there were other airlines which could get me out. Ended up buying a different ticket on another airline for approximately $500 so I wouldn’t lose my short trip and end up paying for all my other expenses for no trip at all. Very shady. Cancelled because it wasn’t economically feasible for a billion dollar company and instead they stick the inconvenience and $$ with individual people. I don’t know how these people sleep at night knowing they are ripping off the common American. No wonder why the government is investigating the airlines. Crooks monitoring crooks. Unbelievable.

Worst airline and worst service ever. Deserves a negative rating if possible. I was travelling from orlando to san francisco with a connection at Denver. I have added 2 check-ins at Orlando. I have carefully checked at home and verified one of them weighed 40lbs and the other weighed 35 lbs. The weighing scales are absolutedly rigged and it showed the weight as 55 lbs and the attendant immediately asked to pay 100$ for additional 15 lbs. I was asked to re-weigh my bag and it showed 40lbs. I was again asked to fit my shoulder bag at Denver into a box and since it didnt fit in the box, i was charged 100$ for it. If my bag’s dimensions were not acceptable, had I been mentioned about it at the source itself, I could have adjusted my personal bag and brought it down to permitted dimensions. They have also just recently downsized their paid check-in limit from 50 lbs to 40 lbs and have been on a looting mission from passengers through baggage fees. I was literally asked to pay and board or find another flight.

Frontier is terrible and lack human compassion. I bought flights months ago for this week with Frontier just to fly from Denver-Cleveland in order to visit family I haven’t seen pre-Covid. I ended up having emergency surgery over the weekend and my surgeons told me I was unable to travel for the next week. I tried to call frontier and let them know I was an emergent state and needed to change my flights for the following week. I talked to two different costumer service representatives and they let me know there was NOTHING they could do for my rare and emergent circumstances and I could pay $200 to change my flight or pay $100 to cancel, which I obviously don’t have to the month for (hence the emergent surgery on top of flights I already purchased). On top of it each time I requested to speak with a manager I was rudely hung up on. No matter what your career is a think a little human care and compassion, is never too much to ask for. Frontier has lost my business for a lifetime.

Ripped off - app is misleading. Careful about being mislead by this app like I was today. Yes, you can check into your flight early, pay for your baggage, and pick your seat. However, there is a catch-22. Frontier attempts to sell you a package deal that includes a checked in bag, carry-on, and the ability to pick a seat, but makes it seem instead like you’re signing up through the app for an account. I made the mistake of going through all these motions without realizing that I was buying a package deal. How I really got screwed was when I showed up to the airport and the attendant let us know that our “carry-on” items were small enough that we wouldn’t have had to pay fees to bring them aboard. I later inquired about a refund for those two items and was told that they could not do so because I bought it as a package. I feel so ripped off! If I had just checked in my baggage at the airport and taken a randomly assigned seat, then I would have spent maybe less than $60 instead of $120. Frontier is bordering on committing fraud with this app and I’d even recommend that Apple yank it from the store so nobody else gets scammed by it like I did.

Flights. Frontier is HORRIBLE. They don’t notify you when they have a gate change via the site or email like normal airlines do. They say they announce it over the intercom several times, however in the airport they didn’t announce it over the big intercom so that people can hear. Then the attendants are giving miss leading information about how to get rebooked. One say we have 30 minutes to get rebooked at no cost and then the lead says that that’s from when the flight leaves but we had been standing at the desk with them before the 30 minutes was even close to being reached. They didn’t have any other flights that could get us home until days later and they want to charge you $99 for the rebook when it was their fault about the change non-notification. They already nickel and dime you for the flight. They don’t even have a real customer service department, everything is done via chat which doesn’t help anything. “DON’T USE FRONTIER UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE OR LOSE MONEY!!!!!”

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Honestly I wish I didn’t have to give frontier one star because it deserves less. I ran into an error four times trying to book my flight online so I tried through the app I still got the same exact error it said some thing with the host which I will include a screenshot if I can. so I tried to look for the customer service number which is impossible to find because apparently they are all listed wrong and then they tell you to get on this chat. you get on the chat and you get the runaround for booking flights. this is also after dealing with an automated text message service that is no help. when you try to call the customer service number, it says that they’re out of order or if it actually picks up, it’s all “ I can’t transfer you but I also can’t I help you with any of the problems that you had”. you get a lot of attitude and then on top of that when the website is giving errors they proceed to tell you that no you cannot book the flight at the price on the website it has actually gone up and then I have to charge you a fee for me to help you to book a flight and then you get hung up on so hooray!

Won’t ever do frontier again. So I got to Miami at 1:30am. Went to get my bags that were checked in. Got my suitcase and noticed that it was broken. Went around and asked where I could go to so I could speak to someone and they told me to call customer service which I did. I didn’t get to speak to anyone personally, so i had to result to talk to someone in a chat which also didn’t happen. I ended up sending out a email with pictures of my bag and telling them what happen. Imagine my surprise when I finally got a response they tell me “unfortunately we can’t help you because you have passed the 4 hour mark a complaint is supposed to be made in”. Remind you it was 1AM in the morning and we just came off a 3 hour flight there was absolutely no customer service available for me to file a complaint at that moment and granted I did try. but for them to reply in that manner knowing there own companies business hours, how was I going to make the cut? ONCE AGAIN NEVER AGAIN WOULD I FLY WITH FRONTIER AIRLINES AGAIN. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

DONT USE FRONTIER. I’ve had a couple problems with this app first time I used it they changed my flight and didn’t say anything I realized because I checked the dates and hours and I had to change it because they added a stop and the flight I got had no stops, they changed it and then I recently got another flight round trip everything was good I bought the flight like 3 months ago until recently they cancelled out flight back and they didn’t even say anything I just received an email saying sorry your plans have been cancelled we tried changing the flight but there were no flights appearing we called and they said the supposedly the flight was not secure and that it had a pop up before you got it saying it wasn’t secure keep in mind I take screenshots of every screen that I pass to make sure there aren’t no problems and that they don’t try coming up with something like this time again because I’ve had it happen a couple times and they said that we had to pay 600 dollars for a new returning flight when I ALREADY PAID THE WHOLE THING!!! We said we were going to contact someone about it and they lowered the price, and said that I wasn’t going to pay for something I already paid for they canceled my whole round trip and again they didn’t say nothing and they didn’t want to give me my money back!!!!

First time using Frontier. Overall pleased with the airline however communication issues resulted in is missing our flight. We were originally supposed to leave at 8:00am on May 12th to Miami. The night before I received an email that the flight was delayed until 8:45. It turns out when we got to the airport the flight was actually on time and we arrived at 7:15 (due to our Uber driver being late, not the airlines faut).. however we would have made the flight rescheduled time. We were told we’d have to rebook.. the desk agent was not helpful at all. We ended up booking a flight on our own online to Fort Lauderdale, which should have been suggested to us as an option. While boarding our new flight, I received a messages that our original flight was delayed till 9am... so we would have been perfectly fine sticking to our original flight plan to Miami. Very confusing and frustrating as we spent unnecessary money. Once on the aircraft, flight staff was very friendly and helpful.

Smooth!. The Frontier app is very easy to use, looks great and functions very well. I downloaded, setup, and logged in right before I was able to check-in for my boarding passes, there was no hassle, the app responded perfectly and I now have my boarding passes ready to go directly on my phone. This’ll definitely make traveling with a toddler easier!

Rewards & Reservation integrated and overall low-hassle bookings. The reward program being integrated with the general reservation system is nice compared to Aeroplan or Air Miles.

Recent Florida flight. I recently booked a flight for my family and myself and had read a lot of terrible reviews. I was very pleasantly surprised.i found the flight quite enjoyable especially for the cost and the staff were great. We would definitely fly Frontier again

Baggage fees. Not impressed that the paperwork I printed when I bought my flight didn’t state the baggage fees. $42 for a carry on bag is absolutely insane!!!! Even $42 for a checked bag???? Most airlines don’t charge for a carry on and $25 for checked. Plus you have to pay for any seat on the plane???? I can’t see myself using this airline again.

Do not fly with this airline. YYC to MCO 2 tix $1000. No problem. Expected to pay for checked luggage as any airline. Came to check in time...$1000+ on way there. $1500 for way home. $2500 on top of the original $1000. $3500 for 1 adult 1 child that’s with a stop over( first time not flying direct) 1 hour delayed on way there. 2 hour delay on way home. Could have got some sleep. Seats are brutal don’t recline. Tray is quarter of size of any other airline. Never seen anything like this. I’ve flown quite a bit. TORTURE

First & Last Time riding Frontier.. I arrived to the airport and there was a check-in line that looped and blocked the whole hallway. I’m talking multiple loops like a cinnamon swirl of people. We were even blocking the check-in line of another airline. There was no organization, no one to direct us where to go or what was happening. We had to just line up and hope for the best that we’d make our flight on time. At some point, the line broke out and everyone just rushed the check-in in hoards making their own lines. Very disorganized and chaotic.. Luckily, we made our flight but only barely. The flight was uncomfortable because they give you lawn chairs to sit on in the plan for hours. They don’t have any wifi or outlets to charge devices nor screens on their seats. So you just sleep or sit there in pain and discomfort. Never riding here again.

WORST Booking Experience Everrr. For some reason only charged me for part of my reservation, wouldn’t let me check in until I paid the rest, kept clicking to make payment and it kept bringing me in circles. Called the customer service number and it never lets you speak to someone personally and keeps directing you to their AWFUL website. I had to google how to speak to some one directly and you have to SAY “feedback and concerns” and that was the only option that allowed me to speak to someone directly. Don’t select a seat because you have one reserved already for you and the pricing is extra (once again more fees). The guy in the phone Jason had the patience of a Saint because he had to wait with me as the website kept taking us in circles. I will gladly pay extra to never fly this airline again, not worth the hassle and stress to save a few dollars after all the fees.

The Worst. Frontier’s App is awful. As is their website, customer service and airline. The app locks up regularly. To find your flight information you have to go back to your email to get the confirmation number as even with facial recognition or pass codes or fingerprints, It won’t let you find your flight info. So it’s extra steps. When I try to look at multiple flights, it will keep going back to the first one I looked up, then once again, it will lock up. Then, if I’m using the app for my boarding pass, while standing in TSA line, if my phone screen turns off, I have to sign in again, and find the confirmation number again, it’s ridiculous. I have a brand new phone, updated software. It’s not my devices. Their websites, as well, have always been complicated, requiring unnecessary steps. I travel frequently on other airlines, and none of those apps/websites are as bad as Frontier.

Impossible to talk to ANYONE. I spent over 3 hours trying to talk to someone about them overcharging me $100 for luggage. The first frustration came when we weren’t able to click on luggage icon. After attempting to do this using various technology, we called. It took 20 minutes to finally get to talk to someone. We were told we could check in 2 bags for $30 each. After receiving my credit card bill and seeing one charge for $76 and another for $80 I tried to call and visit with an agent. After finally getting to talk to a real person, the lady stated that they can’t refund luggage payments. REALLY??? It was their error overcharging me!! By this time I was frustrated and asked to talk to supervisor. She put me on hold and after 45 minutes of waiting, I hung up. Tried to contact someone again, I was listening to elevator music for 33 minutes before giving up. I will NEVER fly Frontier again.

Flight times don’t update on app. General functionality seems to be OK other than the fact that if your flight is delayed it is never updated on the app boarding pass… That seems like a pretty basic, high-priority function for an airline’s app to show the correct flight time the day of the flight. (My flight was delayed multiple times and eventually left about four hours late, but the flight departure time on the app still showed the original time up until departure. Thankfully I knew to check the flight times online, but it was highly inconvenient having to log in each time... even online this wasn’t accurate, but at least I knew there was a delay.)

Mrs Ramsey. I had a great experience boarding at Cleveland traveling to Orlando. This was a first flight ever for my older sister and her 13 year old daughter. The frontier experience was 5 star! One of your employees really stood out to me prior to our boarding his name is Robert. He was friendly and informative along with his coworker I'm sorry I didn't get her name she is Asian and a friendly professional. Also the flight attendant was relaxed and thorough in his care of all on board. The pilot was top notch as we had to be rerouted and experienced turbulence due to weather. The rest of my traveling party have made the flight experience before but this was the first time with frontier. We will fly and recommend frontier! Thank you for a happy safe memorable travel experience!

CJPeters. This is our first time flying Frontier. We did so due to the proximity of our new home in Yardley, PA to TTN airport. We found the website confusing and not so user friendly, at least not to first time users. I think part of the problem was that we inadvertently used a booking agent rather than booking directly with Frontier. Won’t do this again. We’re also not used to paying ala’cart for everything which quickly jacks the price. Further, Frontier constantly try’s to upsell you everything. However the actual flight was on time for departure and the plane arrived 20 minutes early and it was truly unique not to have any backup on the runway for take off at TTN. And a 12 minute drive to the airport from home isn’t hard to take either. PMA

Poor Quality Services. It was confusing. I thought I was going to get a nice cheap quality flight for a weekend to see family in the next state. It become very apparent quickly that this app was designed to make you pay for any service possible. Even their bundles were unfairly modified to not give us the best treatment. For instance, we got carry on which costed a bit for both flights, but the system messed up our flights. No carry on for the way there and it turned out the flight back was on the incorrect date. When we tried to correct these mistakes, the company was going to charge us for 170 for each adjustment which nearly doubled our prices. This unreasonable inflation and even the inability to refund it from the app makes this the biggest joke for airline services I have ever had. Do Not Expect Frontier to treat you well. Just get a refund and deal with better airline services.

Expensive and non-accommodating!!. Very frustrated to learn, after booking, that any luggage you have has a fee to take with you. They charge more for a carry on, then checked luggage and you’ll be the one carrying and handling your own luggage. And, if you didn’t check in prior to the flight, it will cost you even more! So the deal we thought we were getting, money we were saving, ended up costing us more, than booking with another airline. Which we would have had more accommodation, and no extra fees! There was no complimentary drinks or snacks, every thing had a fee!! Then to make our flight even more unenjoyable, the flight was delayed 4 hours!!! Even the people at the customer service desk were unhappy and unfriendly! Nothing about this airline was enjoyable! The experience was way over priced, too many extra fees, never again will I fly Frontier, and pay for this highly overrated experience!

Boarding pass does not pick up the bags that I purchased. My regular size backpack which is considered a personal item for Spirit Airlines and which fits under the seat on spirit is considered a carry-on ; only a child size backpack is considered a personal item for Frontier. So I ended up choosing their bundle under their perks option for $74 through my computer online which oddly they wanted to charge more money for the bundle through the app on my phone. The perks bundle included a carry-on and a checked bag, a choice in seats and priority boarding. I received a receipt that showed I paid for it but the boarding pass on line through my computer and through the app on my phone both showed that all I paid for was my seat. If it shows the same thing in the morning I’m going to have to check in with the desk and have that straightened out...This is very frustrating. I didn’t think this could happen but they actually make spirit look good.

Dishonest App. Something about this app is not right. When you put in your trip dates it initially shows you a VERY cheap price and after 3-5 seconds the prices jumps quickly to much MUCH more. My review is about the app, not the airline. I just took my first flight with frontier and it really was not that bad. Seats don’t recline but the trip and flight were fine. I would fly frontier again….. but What I do NOT like about this app is that it seems deceptive. If you’re using the app to book, beware, it wil show you a $25 flight and moments later without touching ANYTHING you will see that your flight is not $354

Frustrating. Got there 2 hours prior my flight and while I was waiting to board my flight at 10:50am I heard their page calling my name and when I went to the gate they were paging for they were closed and refused to open for me to board the plane, cause they sudden change the gate number and state they send an email around 9:30am, I don’t live looking my emails every second plus it was my wife that made this reservation and she wasn’t with me. I went to the front desk for help and no one was handy to help me only this lady that works with love and concern about her coworkers not helping me maybe because I was Hispanic went above and beyond and helped me even do she wasn’t assigned to that department. I’m a frequent traveler and won’t travel with them. I prefer Spirit or JetBlue for sure, never had issues with them.

Frontier will steal your money. This airline is a total joke. Was trying to BOOK a one way flight on their website, everything looked good, $170 for a one way flight. However, when I clicked complete booking, it BOOKED THE WRONG FLIGHT. I think probably the website saved some previous flight I was looking at from before and used that instead. It booked a round trip (one that I had viewed before but didn't get). The total for this round trip was $445 dollars. I CANCELLED the trip literally a MINUTE after I booked because I noticed the mistake. They charged me a $200 dollar fee even though the website says FREE CANCELLATIONS within 24 hours. So after spending hours trying to get a hold of an agent online (since they don't have phones), they told me I was only eligible for a FLIGHT CREDIT. This is because they will only allow a full refund if the departing flight is at least 7 days out(which it doesn’t say clearly only the free cancellation within 24h). Well, the website booked me the incorrect trip which was 7 days within the time frame so they won't give me a refund. Even after escalating to a higher agent, they still would make no exceptions on their mistake. This should be illegal

Not as user friendly as Southwest. I find the site frustrating. You always seem to put the stupid overnight flight first and it is confusing. The last thing I want to do is spend the night in the Denver airport to save money! Post the shortest fastest flights first. In selecting the country I live the USA is at the bottom? I’m quite sure most of the people booking your flights 80% or better are from the US? Put US at top and then list other countries. Your scrolling for date on cc is weird. Numbers are out of line. Crooked? Instead of drop down arrows for the bags I’m carrying why don’t you have boxes to check for one or two with price. I have to keep pressing your cute little arrows to find all of your fees and charges. It’s already ridiculous to pay what all airlines charge for bags. Why don’t you at least speed up the pain with more user friendly push and click boxes. You asked!

Ate $500 in cost because of cancellation. If I could give this flight 0 stars or a negative amount of stars, I would do it 100%. Flight got cancelled. Options are: get refund and book with another airline or wait until next available flight. Frontier worker said we can try and put you on the next flight but that’s not guaranteed either. Had to book a different flight, had to eat that cost difference. Had to book a hotel, had to eat that cost too. Was hungry and Frontier didn’t do anything for us about that either. So I have to eat some place and eat that cost too. I am eating around $500 because of one cancellation. When I look back at it, what airline does maintenance on a plane AFTER everybody boards? The crew was late because they were “coming back from international flight”. That is such a lie…I have no idea how this airline is still in business. I am very upset and will never use frontier again.

Horrible customer service! Zero stars. I was willing to give Frontier a shot for our family trip of 12 people to Mexico. Our return flight was scheduled to leave early Saturday. Immediately, we started getting emails that there would be a delay. The delays continued with the story changing 5 times. Finally after almost 12 hours at the airport, the entire flight was cancelled and everyone waited for buses to bring us to a hotel. We got rooms around 7pm and were told to be back in the lobby by 3:15 am. Loaded back onto buses and at the airport in Cancun by 5am. Waited in line for hours and then watched as the flight was delayed again. Moved to a different gate in the basement, where we waited until noon to be loaded onto buses and shipped to our plane. No communication until the pilot finally arrived and apologized for the inconvenience. No the crews fault but a total garbage airline.

App is fine; Airline is awful. As I am sitting here waiting for my flight, which has been delayed for a third time now (for a total of 5 hours), the prompt came up asking me to review “Frontier.” If I’m reviewing the app, it’s fine. The airline, however, is awful. This will be my 3rd Frontier flight, and 2 of the 3 have had major delays, and that is consistent with experiences of other passengers here and friends/family members, who warned me not to book through Frontier. Their seats are probably the most uncomfortable of any airline that I’ve experienced, and they nickel and dime you for everything, so the savings by booking through this discount airline are not as great as you would expect in the end. If you have an option of another airline, do yourself a favor and avoid the frustration of Frontier. One star is frankly a generous rating for their “service”, but they didn’t have a zero star option.

Terrible customer service.. We had to cancel a flight due to COVID. They finally gave us a credit for the flight but it has to be used within three months. Most airlines give a year to use it. Although I paid for the ticket, they sent the flight credit to my niece (the travelor, without sending me a copy). When I called to asked if I can use the credit on file, she told me the the three month flight credit already expired. They would not could extend it even though I had an emergency situation. The representatives were not helpful at all. They repeated the same scripted lines over and over again. I was finally persistent enough to be passed to a supervisor, however they basically say “tough luck.” The three month credit expired during the summer while covid was still rampant and We feet They should give a year to use it for people who need to fly, or at least make a special exemption now and then since three months is a ridiculously short time to try and go anywhere in these times my would not fly unless it was an emergency. They did not care that I had an emergency situation and would not even give me half the credIt. They are terrible to deal with. I was also a Discount Den member but it made no difference whatsoever, so I am canceling the membership. I hope this information is helpful.

Frontier. Hi once a passenger is on the plane the service and condition of aircraft is similar if not better than other airlines. The booking , the bag and seat fees, availability of representatives, your fee for only a 24 hr fundable change or cancellation is poor and lack of scheduled flights, rates Frontier below Southwest which also started building its frequent customer base calling itself a Discount airline. It is silly to assume passengers , other than one day business persons , fly without luggage or families who need to sit together. If an individual needs to get to point A to B without any luggage , Frontier is a good choice. If it flies on the days convenient to the airline. I hope that as you make more and more profit, Frontier will consider allowing one piece of luggage free per ticket booked , or free seating and for the 15 $ fee allow changes or cancellations at least up to a week from departure. Thank you for a friendly staff and fresh operating aircrafts.

Airlines are frustrating...but this is one of the worst experiences of my life. I’ve already wasted well over 1.5 hours of my work day so I’ll keep this simple. My DOB wasn’t correct. As anyone halfway intelligent knows, it’s imperative your flight info matches your ID. Called to get it corrected. Got transferred to 3 different people (2 of which were managers), all of them had me do the same things over and over. Didn’t work any of the attempts. Still isn’t correct in my profile. I have no idea what to do and am just taking a chance this doesn’t affect me boarding for my flight. I also booked a flight through a third party. The third party didn’t give me the ability to select my seat or add a bag so Frontier was “nice” enough to charge me an inflated fee to do so through their website. Do not expect good customer service or intelligent help if you call Frontier for assistance.

Excellent App & Great No-Frills Airline. These reviews are supposed to be for the app and not for the airline. There are a lot of clueless reviewers that don’t understand the basic cheap no-frills airline that Frontier is. Fares and additional charges are clearly posted. In fact it is annoying to have to dismiss the options before finishing a purchase. If you are unable to read and comprehend, that’s your problem. It gets me from Point A to Point B for CHEAP. The app is efficient, well laid out, not cluttered and responsive. Kudos to the developers. A couple of features I would like to see added are: (1) The ability to save frequent routes and (2) Fare alerts when prices for particular routes/dates drop.

Gate change with no alert. Would have been nice to know of a last min gate change on the app. Was in Orlando tsa line for 2 hrs. This took so long. And was already going to make it to gate with only 20 mins to spare. Briskly walked to gate 11 per app and the doors were closed. Not staff at gate. Was waiting at gate for a few mins with no help from staff. I asked a frontiers employee why the doors at gate 11 were closed 20 mins before flight. She stated to just go stand by the closed gate doors and someone will help u. Very dismissive. I waited and waited. No one came out. Then looked on the screen at the gate and in very small print on bottom of screen was a ticker scroll and it said “ flight 1139 moved to gate 23” They moved to a different gate!!!!!!! There was no staff at the gate to inform of the change!!! Had to run across from gate 11 to 23! Ran! And made it just as they were closing the door. As I am sitting on plane in gate 23 app still says gate 11. Get it together Frontier

Review. I started 20 hours before the flight to check in. I tried in vain for several hours to check in and get my boarding pass. After 8 hours I finally got it. I called the help no. and got an ignorant person who gave me another no. I got a voice message saying this no. was no longer working. I called back to the first no, another ignorant person trued to give me the same no. I told them it wasn’t working so he checked then told some more nonsense and left me more frustrated than before. The website is NOT user friendly so I decided to ask the people at the counter who want to charge $80 per person just to answer some basic questions. Not happy at all.

Incompetence at it’s finest! Zero interest in their customers!. My wife booked an online round trip and followed the instructions on the frontiers website for carry on bags and made sure that our bags were no bigger than what the website described. When we arrived at the check in counter the lady which you can tell she hated her job mentioned the bags were to big which I did not have a problem with. She made pay again for check in bags and gave me a number to call for a refund for paying ahead for carry on bags. When I called the number they barely spoke English and transferred me to 5 different reps, made me repeat myself and then told me they weren’t refunding me any of the money I paid twice for and they was no one else I can speak to....Paid the card off and now looking for another airline’s card that knows how to do good business and knows what there doing!

This is likely my past Frontier flight.... Monday will be my last flight with Frontier. I am over the poor management, sour customer service, and apparent poor planning by the company itself. Upon arrival at Hartsfield and after making it halfway through TSA, I found that I could not checkin online- forcing me to trek back through airport to get my boarding pass. The harassment about bags/bag sizes is terrible! Spirits bag measuring slot is much larger than Frontiers. The price to fly with major airline is the same once they strong-arm passengers to pay for small bags at the gate. I am heading to Chicago Midway just sitting for the past hour or so! The captain keeps announcing that they are completing paperwork- it seems as though some paperwork isn't in compliance or poorly written. Lastly, there is a very nasty flight attendant handling the flight. My backnis beginning to hurt from sitting for an extended period.

Horrible service. I bought a plane ticket to go to my best friend’s wedding and I paid for insurance because I know sometimes things come up. The week before I was supposed to go, my cousin passed away, so I decided to stay home for her funeral. I asked for a refund, and they said I needed to provide a death certificate. I did, and they still didn’t give me my money back. I thought it was so insensitive— I paid for insurance and provided the death certificate and they still took my money. Another thing— I forgot my password for the account and kept requesting a link to my email for a new password, and they said it sent but I never got anything. I checked my inbox and my spam and got nothing from them. So I couldn’t log into my account. I tried calling their 24 hour phone service and never had anyone answer my call. Please do not use this company, I really wish I hadn’t.

So glad I have minutes. Last night I called Frontier spent 51 minutes waiting for an agent until I FINALLY Hungup. Called for assistance this morning for Web. Support waited another 25 minutes. Spoke to an agent that I could barely understand. Then being put on. Hold for couple of minutes each time, at least 7 times. Now before the payment there should be an area that shows where to insert a past credit there is none on a IPhone., she wanted me to rebook the reservation on my pc but when I got to the price it doubled another problem is the Works price it changes each time from $79 to $98. That isn’t fair. Needless to say I will look elsewhere for future airlines reservations. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

This App Needs Serious Improvements!!!. The app only recognizes letters in one case so that if information is store in upper case you can’t submit your information in sentence case. If you want to edit your flight compare prices from different airports you have to start all over again. The most annoying thing didn’t have to do with the app. The upgrade for the works costs more than the cost of the flight which is ridiculous! Shouldn’t the cost of amenities be somewhat proportional to the primary purpose of the business transaction? I don’t come to Frontier for anything else but to fly... why is it then that incidentals to that transaction are more expensive than the service I initially came to Frontier for?

NEVER AGAIN. Awful experience will NEVER fly again. First off they split our family up and stuck one of our daughters at the back all by herself, when we asked if we could change it they wouldn’t and said if we wanted to sit to get her we should have payed the $30 per seat charge. Which leads me to the next point the price they give you up front for tickets is not the actual price they charge you for everything! Such as needing assistance, seats,water,carryons, etc. Not to mention the fact that that the weight and size measurement are smaller than any other airline. The flight crew wasn’t bad besides the fact that the flight attendants loved to talk about how ridiculous it was that families didn’t want to be split up and the should have just paid to sit together. Highly recommend choosing another airline.

Service? What service?. So. If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband booked his flight several weeks ago. He drove 3hours to the airport for a flight for a chance at a job in Denver. He had an orientation class. Thanks to the "policy" he didn't get his flight, probably lost the job, and we may not get refunded the tickets. Due to traffic at the airport he reached the ticket counter three minutes into the "hour before flight". They argued with him about getting his ticket. He could see the terminal and the gate from the counter. This put him five minutes "into the hour" so they wouldn't let him get his ticket and go through security. He explained this was a job orientation at 9am, but they offered a flight "tomorrow". When he requested a manager the manager CONTINUED to argue with him. After this put him well "into the hour" he finally asked for a refund. They refused. So we have to contact corporate for it (fat chance there) and he's probably lost the job because of this. Thank you for helping to continue to keep our family split because this job would finally have helped us get a home again. We will never use your "services" (if you can call it that) again. We will also make sure to let everyone we know to never attempt to fly with you.

BEWARE!!!. Never use this airline! They tempt you with their cheap tickets but in almost every scenario, you’re flight will be delayed by HOURS and they will not accommodate a new flight in a timely manner, or they will completely boot you off without reason. They will also charge extra for bags even if they fit in the carry on compartment. Flew with them twice (second time to give another chance) and it was a nightmare both times. Stranded in the Denver airport for 24 hours and they had 0….ZERO flights to Miami. Had to get a flight to Orlando then rent a car snd drive 5 hours to destination whilst pregnant snd with a small child. Did Frontier do anything to compensate (pay for hotel, car or food vouchers)? Absolutely NOT! I would recommend driving across country or even hitchhiking before taking Frontier. Shame on this greedy, unethical company.

WORST AIRLINE. Literally the worst airline do not use. Arrived for my flight 2 hrs prior and we boarded the plane on time. We sat on the runway for 3.5 hours due to weather and then was told we needed to taxi back to gate to refuel and then we would take off. So we wait another half hour for a gate to be available and then was deplaned and we were told we would be reboarding within 20 mins. 5 min before reboarding CANCELLED. The lady at the desk REFUSED to help and then we had to go to other side of airport to a different desk where there was everyone crowding finally after 20 minutes standing there they told us we can check email for a refund or voucher our choice. Well I wasn’t wanting to rebook with them because I wasn’t waiting 4 days for a flight out. So I had to repurchase a flight on a different airline. Then THEY DIDNT GIVE ME A FULL REFUND. After all of that and didn’t offer any sort of consolation or help for the MASSIVE inconvenience. NEVER EVER AGAIN FLYING FRONTIER.

Terrible customer service. We arrived at the airport at 5:15 for our 7:15 flight. After two delays we received a text message from the company that the flight had been canceled. 35 minutes later an employee finally came out to announce the cancellation. As we started asking questions like “will we get our money back” or “do you have any more flights going out we can get on” each time a piece of paper was picked up and shaken in our faces and were told to read the paper just like everyone else. Worst service ever!!!!!! We were all states away from home with no where to go and no help from frontier. And our refund could be expected within two weeks. All I could think of is how I hoped everyone there could find funds to purchase another ticket to where they were going. Because last minute tickets are crazy expensive. I will never fly frontier again!!!! They gave me a $100 voucher off my next flight with them but I’ll never use it!!!

App is glitchy and TSA Pre-Check never shows on Boarding Pass. The frontier app is constantly slow and glitchy, sometimes erroring out and crashing. But the worst aspect of the app is that even though you plug in your TSA Precheck / known traveler number, verify all your name, dob details multiple times, the app (iOS app) and the html web browser website NEVER SHOW the TSA Pre Check number on the Boarding Pass. This is incredibly annoying, as it defeats the purpose of having pre check (if you’re flying on Frontier) and creates a giant hassle for travelers who wait in the pre check line, only to be told that you have to exit and head over to the non pre-check line because it is not displaying on their boarding pass. This issue alone is why I will never fly on frontier again until they resolve this in their app and website. Complete hassle.

Frontier is scamming customers. At every turn of the booking process, Frontier Airlines is scamming customers into paying for things they should not have to pay for by making their systems as complicated and difficult as possible. I downloaded the app in order to access my boarding pass because the boarding pass would not load on Safari again after accessing it twice to get through security. However, since my phone did not have the latest update I was able to download the Frontier Airlines app but was then not able to access anything within the app because i did not have the correct app version. Due to this I was forced to pay $25 to print my boarding pass at the gate in order to make my flight. I will not be downloading this app ever again and I will not be flying Frontier Airlines.

Very Disappointed. I made a mistake booking a flight on frontier and didn’t realize it until the day of my return trip. I must’ve put the wrong date in. I spent the next 4 hours trying to get a hold of someone at Frontier for help to NO avail!! So I try to buy another ticket but now the flight I need is not available. I’m an hour from the airport and now panicked that I can’t get home on time. So I end up buying a ticket on American which is leaving around the same time (midnight) and on the way to the airport get an alert that that flight is now delayed. By 10 hours!!! So I go back online in my Uber and find a seat on frontier for the exact flight I was originally booked on. Except now I’m paying double! Plus now I have to pay for a carryon also (American doesn’t charge for a carry on) Then I’m told all I had to do was go to the frontier ticket counter to have the original ticket fixed. But this was not possible to do ahead of time due to time and distance. My gripe is why can’t we ever call frontier for customer service??? Absolutely ridiculous! And with all their extra fees there really aren’t any ‘deals’ I will not travel on Frontier again.

Dr. Dengel. There are so many problems with this website though it has made some improvement. I almost signed out without buying my baggage and seat on the return flight. Nothing to cue me there. I was looking for the return option and had to go back to find it. Then, of course, my updated phone no. Did not stick and I had to re-enter it. In addition, there seem to be 3 profiles for my name depending on caps vs small case-none of which match. That’s not good. Data bases are not melded and add to confusion. Data base errors seem to be the biggest problem on Frontier sites. Unfortunately the customers are putting in that data and your computer does not recognize duplicate info. Big problem.

Clunky app/website. Terrible fees.. It took me an hour to figure out how to purchase bags on this app and the website (yes, I tried both). The instructions told me to click “Add Baggage” but that option was greyed out and not click-able. I basically ended up clicking random things until it worked. I had to go through the same adds about purchasing other “perks” about 5 million times before I could even purchase what I needed to purchase, and once I got there, the buttons wouldn’t work. I would click and nothing would happen. I fly Southwest regularly for cheaper, AND I get two free checked bags and two free carry-ons. Plus, to change my flight, Frontier charges $400-$500. Southwest charges nothing. What Frontier charges $90 for and calls “perks”, Southwest calls normal and what I already paid for in my airfare. And Southwest’s flights are still usually cheaper, once you consider all of Frontier’s fees. I will never be flying Frontier again.

Horrible Service & Business. Frontier Airlines is horrible! We flew in from Tampa to Atlanta around 06:30 and during that flight someone vomited all over the floor of row 17. The crew did nothing to clean it up during flight. We land in Atlanta and my outbound flight to San Antonio is the same aircraft departing at 11:50. That outbound leg delayed due to the vomit we arrived with at approximately 06:30. Did no one do anything to clean up the mess within that 5+ hr ground time? Anyways, Frontier switches our gate to a gate with no aircraft, to only to let us know our flight to SAT has been canceled! Moreover, Frontier gave us a big F’ YOU with the $100 voucher and said you are on your own. Most of the passengers were in-transit and had to book their own lodging and/or find a flight out. As a DEN member, I will never fly with Frontier again and I will cancel my DEN membership. Absolutely horrible!

The worst in the industry. If you’ve seen the new vacation movie the jokes about econo air, that’s frontier airlines. We get it they are a lower cost à la carte service but the customer services is horrible. Constantly delayed almost every flight. I quit flying for 2 years on frontier because it had gotten so bad. Today I had a last minute flight come up and they were the only airline with open seats. I can see why now. Waited 2 hrs on the runway because a cargo door wouldn’t shut. They wouldn’t let us off the plane because they needed a supervisor to approve it. Then after finally getting the cargo door shut they tell us they are going to let a few more passengers board and finalize so paper work… Well needless to say of course I missed my connecting flight and on goes the horrible customer service of frontier airlines…

Racism !. I was on flight F-9 - 114 (SJU-BDL )lastnight on my way home from vacation , I am a Hispanic/Latina & there was a Hispanic male ( passenger )in his early 30’s conversing with a African American ( the flight attendant ) also in his early 30’s NOTHING RACIAL , and the flight attendant responded with “ I’m sorry I don’t speak Mexican “. The Hispanic male got up and told the flight attendant he can not talk to him like that ! The flight attendant had the passenger removed and they kept the flight attendant on board , 0/10 highly unfair and highly un recommended to book because we should all be treated fairly ! And if 1 is removed they should’ve both been removed that guy had a family on board that he couldn’t fly with because of something he couldn’t control. if it were the other way around the commotion and scene would’ve been exotic it is not okay and he should be fired.

Just horrible service. Our flight was delayed 8 times and then after we boarded and sat on the tarmac for 2 hours, it was cancelled. A flight that went from CO to NY, and was to return NY to CO. Issues with it before it even left CO to come to NY. The flight was delayed due to mechanical issues. After it was cancelled and it was close to midnight we were told they would get us a hotel. Nope. Spent the night in the airport. No flights out for several days. Had to rebook on another airline. 50 flight credit and partial refund. No one to speak to other than the 2 lovely ladies who tried to help the entire plane full of very upset people. Mechanics told us they won’t pay any overtime so they knew the flight would be cancelled well before it was. I understand you are an economically reasonable flight alternative, but you can still offer customer service. Do better Frontier!

Beware-App reviews do not match others reviews!!. Purchased 2 tickets with “the works package” because we needed flexibility to change flights due to sick relative. Nearly 2 days before the scheduled flight we needed to change the travel dates. I Used the App’s selected the existing reservation and the “change your flight workflow”. It gave me a new confirmation number with the requested dates— Unbeknownst to me it issued an entirely new flight (double booking). And DIDNT CANCEL the other flight. 24 hours before the flight I received the “check in”. email when I called Frontier to inquire what the issue was they said I didn’t cancel with more than 24 hours therefore they were charge a cancellation fee of $500! For their faulty workflow. Asked to escalate the call to a supervisor was told “we will all tell you the same thing”. And they did. They wouldn’t provide address to complain and were uninterested in the IT issue. Filled an FTC report!

Fraudulent carry in fees on correct sized bags. We got charged $120 without any notice on our card after flight. Called and was told because gate charged us for carry on bag. Had only 100% measured and double checked dimensions bags that fit the personal size requirements. They did not check or tell us and just charged. When i explained on phone that this was a mistake they said sorry our policy does not allow refunds and gate agents decision is final. When asked to confirm what measurements gate agent noted they cannot provide which obviously I know because gate agent never measured. Gate agent assumed and charged at will without any mention of such charge at the gate. I could have proven in 5 seconds at the gate that my bags are correct size. This is downright fraudulent way of stealing money from customers who are following every rule and then hiding behind policies and refusing to fix. Both agents and those that allow such rules should be ashamed as your simply thieves. Unacceptable.

Website and App are inefficient.. Ahead of our vacation last week I attempted to check in the day before our flight. I tried first on the app and after 25 minutes I gave up, attempted the website and finally after another 20 minutes, the two of us were checked in. Horribly slow and inefficient. Now we are 24 hours before our flight home and I’m having the same issues. The Go Wild passes are what we have for the first time and it’s not been a pleasant situation so far. The usage is extremely limited, can’t book til the day before you want to fly and there are a lot of blackout dates plus the difficulties with the website and app and no customer service phone numbers to speak of to get assistance… we won’t make this mistake again. Frontier, you need to do a LOT of improvements!!

Awful app, awful company. App is useless - things that sell you something work fine, things that are meant for “customer service” - I.e. paperless boarding passes, customer service sections with usable contact information, etc. - just don’t work. Good luck talking to a customer service rep if you don’t lie and tell them you’re calling to buy something. The “feedback” form tells you it will take 10 days to get a reply, and the customer service number provided in that section literally tells you it’s a nonworking number if you select the feedback option. So much for the app. The airline is even worse. The people you deal with are rude, the check-ins don’t open unless it’s convenient for the airline and not you, and they are 2/2 in delaying my flights so far. When there are problems the app/company issues mean you can’t get help. I’m telling everyone I know not to fly Frontier under any circumstances.

Great prices. Some people really don’t like to pay for a carry on bag, neither do I really. The great thing is you can always find a quick trip for a few days and carry a personal bag. That means no waiting in line at the airport and the price is fantastic! My daughter and I took a quick get away that I selected from one of the email deals for less than $200! Total! Round trip for 2 ! You can’t beat that. Even if you need more luggage just buy the bundle that includes carry on , checked bag and premium seats. You will still pay less than other airlines most of the time. JUST Do NOT take a suit case that exceeds the weight or size because you will pay the fine! This cuts down on fuel costs for the plane. Plain and simple.

Maybe the app isn’t the worst, but frontier is.. I have never, and that’s not an exaggeration, been more upsold on anything. I was asked to pay for seat selection, insurance for a cancelled or delayed flights, checked bags, carry on bags, upgrade to any class above my selection, at least 4 times. This happened Every time I checked in. Every time I payed. Every time I opened the app. it berated me with upgrades. I even ran into several instances that “forced” upgrades by appearing to offer free seat selection only to make you pay later. I only avoiding it by pressing a tiny “skip” button and immediately being told I’m making a mistake and I need to upgrade. DO NOT FLY FRONTIER. Unless you love paying for carry ons and in flight water and peanuts. Even in this age of cheap airlines making flights bad, frontier takes the cake in being worse.

The worst customer service!!!. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with!!! I’ve waited over two hours on the phone numerous times trying to speak to one of your customer service representatives only to have someone pick up that can’t speak English. I think your tactic is to keep people waiting on hold so they just get frustrated lose their money and are unable to communicate with someone that can speak the language properly. Your website and app are not user-friendly, numerous flights and times that I have tried to use credits it does not allow me to do so. Your obnoxious Robo automatic emails are just unacceptable. Also, I don’t understand why you request everyone on the plane to wear a mask but allow passengers to drink and have snacks and remove their masks... it makes no sense! From the beginning to end it was an awful experience.

Made in 21st Century?. Why do i have to click through 5 screens to pay for a checked bag. And why are these screens so dense with content that i want to gouge my eyes out? I also checked in at the ticket counter at DIA and she asked me: “did you know your flight is delayed by over 2 hours?” My reply: “no your app has no mention of a delay in any screen about the flight.” I am at the gate now and it STILL has no updates about the delay. Frontier, you do not have to make your customers endure an awful digital experience just because you are a discount carrier. Get your act together, or just remove the app from the store. You look idiotic. Maybe because you are?
