Super fun app. Makes the long boring road trips a little more interesting!

Lots of potential but leaves a LOT to be desired yet. Much potential here but they need to do a lot more to make this app more than what it is. 1st - needs way more spots listed, it is fine to get user added spots but the developers need to go into certain areas and add more popular spots. There is no reason for some of these major hot spots and destinations like the outerbanks to have one or two items, developers, do the work and add spots. And you need to make it much easier to find and add a spot for the user added spots. Very convoluted. Give users bonus points for adding spots and you might get more people doing it. 2nd - not enough participants on this ap to show more photos and give feedback. Most spots only have one photo. And just not enough spots or incentives to make people use the app. 3rd - make an option to select multiple photos at a time and choose photo albums from your phone. The ap is very slow and I don’t want to add one at a time. This makes people less likely to bother adding more or any at all. 4th - let people leave reviews/feedback about the location/site or star value rating on if worth visiting or not.

Love the App- Great for Travelers. The only complaints I have are the clear west coast bias and not replenishing the store. I love to rep you guys and I lost one of my hats. I need a new one or two!

Must Have App. I was looking for cool local things to do and this app has it all!!! Great pictures, directions and historic value given also Will even use in my own city

Pictures. Some very interesting places. Get out & see Texas. No other place like it.

Can’t register to save guides. I’ve tried all three methods of registering for an account multiple times and it keeps giving me an error that I need to try again later. Very frustrating and needs to be fixed.

Pages don’t load. I tried to use the feature like dashboard or other state. Page doesn’t even load. It works only for my state. I can see the potential of this app. Plz fix.

Can’t get into the app. It popped up saying “Enable location” I hit okay and it won’t do anything so I can’t even get into the app. I tried to re-download it & everything but it still won’t work. I keep hitting the button and nothing changes.

One of my favorite apps. You had me at larger-than-life, novelty-sized Muffler men! This has been a gem as I explore the country - so many cool, off-the-beaten-path attractions.

Get out the house!. Explore and get some air! Don’t stay locked up wearing a mask! Get some fresh air and sunlight!

This app is AMAZING. Where has this been all my life? If you need help figuring out what to do this weekend, or want to explore spots that really express a city or state’s unique character, look no further.

Great app....... My friend and I use this app frequently and it’s great to find local stuff to do, and things we may not have known about. I do wish there was a way we could add/submit attractions because we have found a few on our own that we think would be cool to have on here.

Traveling? Get this app, you won’t regret it!. I used this app on a road trip with my brother, and we had a blast with it. We stopped into places that we normally would have driven past without a thought. We met some interesting people and learned a few things also. This app definitely added to our trip and can’t wait to get the rest of my family involved. Two thumbs up to Fotospot!

Great app for the adventurous. As a photography enthusiast, I’m always looking for new places off the beaten path to go visit and snap photos. This app is extremely useful for that and saves me a lot of time narrowing down where my next adventure will be.

Still learning but I like it. I just got it . So far I like it. I have a ton of pictures I would like to post but I am not at the location. I like posting after I leave a location, for safety reasons. I wish that was an option with this app, or maybe I haven’t learned it yet.

Wish u could add more photo spots. I just found this app. We are more than half way through our road trip. I found some amazing spots in towns like St Charles MO. And fascinating abandoned buildings. Throughout Kansas. I wish I could alert more people. And I wish this app would let me add a spot. If I can add one I haven’t figured that out.

Very fun and a great use of time!. I love the concept of this app, and it’s the PERFECT way to start up some fun adventures, I’ve only used this app for a short amount of time, however in that time I have had the best experience possible!

Like a Hit List of Hot Spots. I just spent a half hour looking at all the local spots. This app is no cap. You can scan through other people’s posted photos to find good compositions, and you can see the vibes at different times of day, see if you like it. I liked the reasonable flat fee, the lack of a subscription or dlc, the huge amount of photo sites, the large community posting photos, and the minimal personal data used by the app besides location. Great app.

Fun but not always functional app. Husband and I are on extended road trips and I want to make sure I am seeing everything worthwhile. My main beef with this app is that the attractions do not appear to be listed in the order we are driving or even in any order that makes sense. Good for a reference but I rarely end up seeing something I found on this app

Great App But Littered With Errors. Love this app so far but there are lots of errors. Places misnamed, wrong locations of supposed photo. Within a 10 mile radius of where I live there are at least 5 errors. Still a really cool app and it deserves 5 stars when they can fix these accuracy issues.

Good idea. Bad execution.. The concept is great for this app but it’s super buggy. You can work around a few of the bugs but not all. I will continue using it and hopefully it will get some updates.

Fantastic app. This app is absolutely phenomenal! After retirement, I spend a lot of time doing road, trips and photography. This app has everything you need to help you see the United States, and all the great things that are there!

HORRIBLE LETDOWN !!. i was so excited for this app i was gonna start saving all these cute ventures right away !! then i went to hit the save button the app requests i make an account, then when i try to adjust the age no numbers pop up or months leaving me at ten years old and unable to use the app because you have to be thirteen. i would love to be able to put my correct age into the thing so i can use the app but it won’t allow for it !!

Must turn location on. The app can’t even be used unless you turn your location on. It should be allowed to search places without having to turn on my location

Why is there no search?. All I can do is move around a map. Can you add a text search option?

They track you & take your photos. If you value your privacy, don’t use this app! I found my photography posted on the app’s Facebook page. So, they are monitoring your input & taking what they want. As soon as it was posted, I found that I was suddenly being followed by someone that I have no desire to know. Your privacy goes out the window with this developer. Be careful.

Love this app!. I love love love this app! It’s my go to app when I’m going on a road trip and when I’m just traveling to a new city! There’s so many places around me that I had no clue existed! Love that you can check in and save places as favorites! Such an amazing app!

Fantastic app to explore the US. I travel all over the country for work, and have been doing so for many years. I thought I knew all of the cool and quirky things to see in most cities, until I found this app. Not only can you find unique spots to check out, but you can earn points when checking in or uploading a picture. You can redeem the points for some pretty cool, comfortable, and unique shirts….and a hat with the company logo on it is also an option. Another cool feature is the content can be provided by the community/users of the app. I really enjoy being able to contribute to such a fun platform. Keep up the good work Fotospot!

Seem to be a good app, but not user friendly. Downloaded this app after seeing its ad on instagram. It is cool that I can see photo worthy spots nearby where I am. However, I want to see other cities as well for planning my future trips. Main list view is always set to my current location - I cannot change it to somewhere else. I am able to manually change to another city with the map view, but every time I click on a photo worth spot then go to prior screen hoping to see other spots, it resets my map view back to my current location. Hopefully the developer can make an update to this app. Or if I am using incorrectly and there is this function already, please advise. Thanks!

So much potential. I really like the idea of this app. I think it’s cool that it lets you know hidden gems that are near you. A big problem I have with it is when you try to check in. You can be at a location and it constantly says you aren’t close enough. I think you need to broaden the check in to at least 5 miles around the cite. A lot of the cites don’t have great reception so you should be able to check in when you can. There is no benefit in lying so it would just be nice to still be able to post it. I tried to add a site but it didn’t end up letting me put the state and it didn’t save. So that seemed like a glitch too.

I usually don’t write reviews but..... that app is so awesome!!! not only is it addicting due to the points system they implemented, it is also so cool to see what is “tour worthy” around you. I accidentally spent the whole day driving to new places, hiking, taking photos, and exploring my state. I highly recommend !! I am excited for my new road trip, so I can show off this app to my friends.

Wow !. Something about this social App ! You get to see things in other people’s views ! And can attract you to beautiful views with positive vibes 🤙🏽

For destinations both renowned and obscure…. I like how this app is almost a no-brained—it simply uses your location to pinpoint nearby landmarks. You can tap each Fotospot that comes shows up on the map, and decide which ones are worth your time. It’s also interactive; it gives you that social media feel because you can submit your own photos to help fellow travelers out.

Used to be Awesome. I’ve used this app for a couple of years now and started when we traveled the entire West Coast and saw so many things that we never would’ve saw. Had we not been able to use this app. However, the last few months I have been unable to see anything at all besides my immediate area. When we were in Vegas and April, I was super disappointed because it wouldn’t update as we moved between Vegas and the Grand Canyon so I feel like we might’ve missed so many things. Although the time before when we were in Vegas, we were able to see all kinds of things. We are about to go on another trip to New England in August and I am so hoping that the app is fixed by then for me. I will say a positive is the ability to download off-line maps because when we were in Yellowstone last year, it came in handy quite a bit!

FotoSpot (Road Trip Planner). I have been using FotoSpot for awhile and I am pleased to report that I have no intention of discontinuing its use or reverting to using travel books and magazines. FotoSpot has explored thousands of tourist attractions in all 50 States, including locations such as the “The Cursed Stone Couch” in Pennsylvania (where I live), which I had never heard of, but I found extremely interesting. Wherever you may be, you can check for attractions that are close by simply tapping the “Nearby” button in the app or, if you prefer, tapping on the map icon for a view of your location where you can zoom in and choose “show Fotospots in this area.” Clicking on any visible mini-camera will tell you where it’s located. Clicking again will display a picture of the attraction and a detailed explanation. While on the screen, you have the option to save that location for later or, if you’re already there, add a photo for other users to view. On this screen, you can click on the “Been Here” button or the ”Check-In” feature, which will gain you points. Did I forget to mention points? With the points you collect from visiting sites, you can trade in for FotoSpot “swag.” Now that is cool - an app that gives back!

Only for iPhone users???. Wish this app was available for other phones not just iPhones. I was telling friends of mine about it and they can’t download the app. Other than that I love it!

Such a big help. As a travel novice, I tend to rely on other travelers to know where to go. This app is made for me to not just post my experiences and photos but guide my path through others. Great job!

A near perfect app.... You guys are so close to having a near perfect app. So many people are giving you the answer on how to fix it too. NOT being able to look around and view spots separate from your current location is a huge miss. When people travel, they want to plan ahead. It’s so simple! Additionally, international locations outside of the US would be amazing too.

Great Fun. I love this app. I love to travel and Fotostop makes traveling even more fun. We have found some great places to visit that we would have otherwise never found. I also love being able to add places others might like. Looks like the update 2 weeks ago has broken the app. I can no longer access my profile to add new places on my iPhone. I can switch to different states and the current state will not load completely. Please get this fixed. I love this app and can’t wait to be able to use it again. Thanks.

Cannot confirm age. Just downloaded this app and it isn’t letting me confirm my age. I get to the profile section and fill out my name and email, right when I try to confirm age, it won’t let me add my bday. The months and dates are not appearing on the scroll as well as the year. Deleted the app and tried again. Same thing. Bummer. I wanted to try the app out.

Worth it!. I love this app so much! I do a lot of travelling for work and this helps keep it interesting when I have to go to new locations. I'm also pretty excited about all the guides being free now as well.

Couldn’t get past first screen. Installed app; the initial load screen does not prompt you to allow location services, however states you must allow location to use. Tried to manually add it via privacy settings but the app does not show as available. Deleted.

Amazing App!. This app allows you to find interesting (and many time odd!), beautiful, fun and unique destinations all over the country! You get to collect points for free Merch (very cool stuff) and compete against friends. I travel a lot for work and it makes going to new places fun! I highly recommend this app! I have been to 47 states but now have to revisit them all to see the “Fotospots”!!!!

Fun Stuff!. As a dad, it helps to have this guide to some fun locations no matter where we are at to explore with the kids. We’ve already shot some really cool photos 👍🏼

Was excited to use this but ..... very excited to use this app but when I download it and it says to go enable location for the app the app doesn’t even come up. I’ve restarted my phone several times now and all my other apps show up except this one. Really disappointed. I even tried re downloading the app still nothing.

Great travel app!. Love ForoSpot! None of the lame drama of social media sites and tons of great sites I’d never have discovered without it. Highly recommended!

Would be perfect if I could check in to spots I’ve been at. This app is pretty cool and has awesome places I need to get photos at. This app would be perfect if it would let me check in to places I’ve already visited it and taken a picture at (kind of how yep lets you go back and check in after the fact). Sadly there are places I would love to check in (and can verify with location picture was taken) that I will probably never visit again and that makes me really sad to not be able to check in to those places.

Can’t check in !!!. The app is cool but I can’t check in without it crashing. I love the suggestions and photos but can’t get points for going anywhere cause it just closes every time I try to check in

Upset.. Every time I want to “heart” a location so i can go hack to it..it always takes me out of the app. SO ANNOYING. How am I supposed to save all the locations???

This app has the potential to be perfect.. As I said, this app has so much potential. Let me start by saying that the concept is one of a kind. This is what us travel junkies have been waiting for. But there’s a few things it needs to make it 10/10. The first being the check ins. As a photographer I would never post a picture without editing it so by the time I’m editing, I’m 100 miles away at home and I can’t check in. I can see why, so there’s no photo spamming that has nothing to do with the location but maybe there could be some screening process on your end that would eliminate that. I would love to add new locations and add to the photography that is listed at pre-existing locations but it’s just not realistic the way they’re set up. Next, there should be an option to search by location. When I’m planning out a trip or a shoot I always check in with this app first but it’s so tedious to only have a list available from my current location. If there was a search bar for places to see by a certain city/ town/ zip code that would be AMAZING. Thank you for reading and I really can’t wait to see how this app grows. You’ve got a good thing going here.

Make and iPAD version. Using an iPhone app on an iPad sometimes works but in this case it is disappointing.

another rip. the app gives nothing worth the initial price, and then asks money for spots in national parks available for no fee. save your money, don’t feed scoundrels, they breed flies and other pests like themselves.

Places. This sight is really good place to find unusual out of the way spots to visit!

No Data Currently Available. This used to be an excellent app but all it the sudden if I’m anywhere more than a mile from my house I get “No Data Currently Available” I’ve deleted and reloaded the app multiple times and I still get the error.

Crashes. Love the app! Already see a lot of places I want to visit, however when I try to Heart a place I wan to visit the app crashes :/
