I’m grateful. I had a terrible accident that almost ended with my life, I fell from a building. I lost my teeth, broke my face, hip, spine, hand, femur it was really bad. Thanks god I survived, and thanks to spirit My family was able to fly here from Miami every 2 weeks to see me and take care of me I was when I left the hospital and I learned how to walk thanks to spirit I was able to fly to Phoenix to see a cheaper dentist from New Orleans every Month. We are immigrants from Venezuela and I think if we didn’t know spirit we wouldn’t be able to be together when we needed it the most. It literally changed my life. We couldn’t afford those crazy expensive flights, I’m grateful for you guys now I’m a member of 9 fare and I have the credit card and I love it

Trying to like this airline. I’m trying my best to like Spirit Airlines, and I shouldn’t complain about the money they’ve saved me. However, there are a few issues that rub me the wrong way that weren’t known prior to biting on their BOA credit card scam. #1, I wouldn’t have gotten the card and opted for a southwest airline card had I known they only fly to hubs when they feel like it ( in my case ft Myers fl), #2, the booking website could be the worst ever and #3, pack a lunch if you have to wait for your luggage. I realize the airline is no-frills, and going through growing pains, but I hope they remember to take care of the early passengers who jumped onboard if the succeed, it’s been a trying process. As a side note, I’ve never had a negative experience with any employee interaction, kudos to them!

Doesn’t Work Most of The Time. I’ll never fly with Spirit again. Not only is their customer service absolutely TERRIBLE, but so is this app. Constantly giving me an error message, never does anything I need it to do. Can’t check in, can’t change/edit anything in app OR from their website. Error after error. I highly discourage everyone from flying Spirit. Cheap does not mean good and they won’t be very helpful if you try to get assistance from them directly. The woman I spoke to over the phone was giggling and laughing, probably with one of her coworkers, while I was obviously stressed and hoping for someone to address my concerns over this trip that they cancelled less than 24 hours before my flight. Messaging them over text is no better and takes hours to complete a conversation, although they still aren’t helpful there either. I’ve learned my lesson. I hope that Spirit hires people who care about their job and take it seriously in the future. Never again!

Worst airline, horrible experience. On our flight to Cancun, one person in our party didn’t receive her checked luggage until the next day. Then our flight back to Dallas was delayed due to maintenance, then when they finally boarded us, we were held on the plane for over 2 and a half hours while they dealt with the same maintenance issues. We were not given drinks or snacks while we waited on the plane. Then they deboarded the entire plane saying the flight was being canceled and sent us back through customs to get our checked bags. Several bags had been tampered with and items stolen. We were taken to a hotel and brought back early in the morning for a flight that was supposed to leave at 11:00 am. The flight (same plane) was delayed for the same maintenance issues and we were told they were going to try to bypass the maintenance issues and fly without some communication and lighting issues (mentioning the seatbelt sign might not work). We finally boarded at at 12:34 and deboarded in Dallas at 4:00pm. We felt incredibly unsafe flying with Spirit and will never fly with Spirit again. They also issued meal vouchers in Cancun that could only be used in the US, and expired quickly, insuring the vouchers wouldn’t actually be used. I don’t recommend flying Spirit.

Spirit Flights. I’m a frequent flyer and have been with Spirit for almost 10 yrs. Without failure they have always been good to me except for and I say again only when COVID -19 started. I don’t think any airline was prepared on how to deal with COVID-19. Over all they are affordable and there Pilots are amazing the flight attendants varies but the seats could be a lot more comfortable even the big seats which they call first class. At $100-$130 that seat should give me a message be heated recline and should come with a free glass of wine. But for that kind of service I would have to switch to a different airline altogether. Well spirit I’m a ride or die type of gal so I guess we are stuck with one another. It’s good to have wi-if now so I guess you are working to make it better so no complaints a little at a time. Please stop going up on your bags the pricing for carry on is more the a checked bag why, there’s no reason for this seriously. We are all trying to survive Along with that comes traveling so be a little more considerate to your dedicated customers and your pricing. Things change all the time just be aware to how much your adjusting your prices. For many it hurts they’re pockets especially to a med to large size family. Ijs thanks spirit for all the safe travel to and from much appreciated.

Not fair charges. My flight from LA to Houston the agent checked me in and did not charged me for my carry on bag. Even though I’ve asked the agent if there were charges and she replied NO which I was fine with it. Then arriving to Houston and getting to my final destination New Jersey before boarding this rude agent started asking me to get out of the boarding line. And I was asking why? Then she said that I needed to pay for my carry on. I was so upset asking her why from LA they didn’t charge me for anything and why they started giving me problems? But that just not happened to me even with other passengers and I was like this is ridiculous cause they should have charged since the begging not making people think that everything with our flight is fine. But this is the part that got me more angry when finally boarding and putting my carry on at cabin baggage there were many spaces empty. In conclusion I’m a traveler and just because of this bitter situation I would NEVER travel with spirit again! This flight was an emergency for me but NEVER again, FRONTIER is way better then this airline even the customer service. If you are looking for something affordable and good service go for FRONTIER or UNITED airline.

My flight. The first flight I’ve ever did in my 40 years on this earth was on spirit airline and it was from St. Louis Missouri to Orlando Florida I was in a first class seat had a window seat the flight attendants could tell I was nervous from the start so they talked me through takeoff they talk to me through any turbulence that we have and they talk to me through landing they were so helpful and so polite as soon as I got to the airport I needed a wheelchair because I just tore my meniscus and my ACL and my knee and I knew I couldn’t walk they got me a wheelchair immediately took me to security got me to where I needed to be offered to stop for me to get food or drinks stop to use the restroom and these were spirit airline people I would definitely recommend flying spirit it was actually a really good flight I flew a different airline on the way home because I couldn’t find a Spirit plane ride for that day and time that I needed and it was nothing compared to Spirit and it was one of the number one airlines that are talked about so I definitely recommend spirit

NOT FOR BOOKING-only for tickets. For the love of all things Holy, do not waste your time trying to book a flight through the app. It’s fine for exploring pricing and schedules, and it’s fine for tickets once you’re booked. But I have been incredibly frustrated by the booking process though the app on numerous occasions (I should know better by now). First, it doesn’t store trusted traveler or companion info (which isn’t an app thing, it’s a Spirit thing-and if they cared about customer service they’d do that-but we all know we aren’t flying Spirit for their customer service). The real rub is when you’ve spent all of your time putting in the info and making selections on seats and bags and add-ons, and then you get to payment and get an error because PAYMENT NEVER WORKS IN THE APP. The app is a mediocre tool that definitely gets part of the job done. But only part-and will leave you infuriated (like me) if you try to use it for booking.

Worst App Ever!. This is the worst app ever especially for a frequent flyer on all airlines. The first flight to our destination city Spirit is flying. App crashes every single time if not when opening as soon as the first click down it goes and disappears. Can’t get boarding passes, buy luggage (nice surprise a charge for a carry on) or change seats can’t do anything in an app that crashes every single time. Go on the website and it’s just as horrible. It’s hard to navigate, most links don’t work, can’t check in either but was able to buy seats and again luggage since they charge for that too even though everyone has a carry on. Once you add up the cost it’s not any cheaper than other discount carriers and with advanced purchases nor the major airline. Lastly when we called to see why the app crashes or the website don’t work and want to check in, there’s another 25 buck charge for that too, wow. So now we will have to wait in the long lines to get paper tickets which is more than frustrating and we’re also TSA pre-approved so instead of zipping through the process which we’ve paid to do now our onboarding will take forever. This is the first and last time we will fly with Spirit!!!

Customer service. I have never seen so much crap in my life. I had an emergency where I could not get to LAS so I called customer service and I was also on live chat and not once was anyone able or wanting to help out. I was stuck in twenty nine palms and had no ride so I was trying to just fly out closer to hear to save money or whom ever was taking us to the airport. It was the worst customer service I have ever seen and such cold hearted people that couldn’t even take the time to get management on the phone but was quickly to say no. What are we coming to in this works. Is it really all about money and we look the other way when people are in need of help. I was not trying to get out of anything. I was just trying to get help moving my flight to either lax or Sna to save cost and on the stranger that was willing to drive me and my 11 year old son. My daughter could not get a rental for her car until this Wednesday so that’s why I needed the help.

A Few Things To Improve Accessibility for People Who Are Blind/Visually Impaired. Hello, I am totally blind, and just downloaded Spirit a few minutes ago. I found upon signing up for an account, almost all parts of the process are somewhat inaccessible. The “Sign in” and “Create an account” buttons, as well as everything else in the app, are labeled just fine, but here’s what could be fixed: The text fields after the statement “Please enter your name as it appears on your government ID” should be labeled “First name,” “Last name,” and “Email.” The field to enter your password (which my iPhone’s screen reader, VoiceOver, reads as “Secure text field”) should be labeled “Password.” The button to show/hide password should also be labeled, as well as the button to go back at the top of the sign-up menu. The areas to enter your birthday and country, although my screen reader handled the pop-ups beautifully, should be labeled accordingly. Finally, after you are in the main app after creating an account, the button at the top of the home screen that takes you to a menu where you can view/edit your profile should be labeled “My account” or something similar. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and hope these issues can be resolved soon.

Spirit is the worst airline ever.. I want to give 0 star but I can’t, so I’ll give 1 star. When I entered the airport spirit had a mess. Literally I saw a men screaming at a spirit worker, I don’t know why, but I bet they deserve it. Me and my family were late because THAT LINE WAS HUGE AND A MESS. When we got there, the door was open. It was 8:10pm and the flight leaves at 8:15pm. A freaking man closed the door when WE HAD TIME, like it’s not fair, there was a men in front of us and he let him go. I was literally crying, it was really sad. CAUSE WE HAD TIME, and the plane left at 8:40pm AT 8:40pm. I think it wasn’t the airline fault because that stupid man closed the DOOR. I have a little brother of 2 years old. You guys think is fair? HE IS A BABY A BABY. He was uncomfortable and crying. However it’s also spirits fault, THERE WAS A HUGE MESS OUTSIDE, there was not enough staff, there was like 100+ people and only 5 people in the cashiers. I wish they cancel Spirit because the other reviews are even worst. Like SPIRIT YOU JUST CANT DO THAT. Your staff is even worst. Like bro, well this is why I think SPIRIT Is the worst airline ever.

Worst Travel Experience Ever. We arrived at the airport, checked in through security and followed the signs to our area. The airport attendant pointed us to the right. It dead-ended at the end of E, though we needed to be at F4. We had to run all the way back through E to F. By the time we got there, a very rude Spirit employee told us that she already cancelled us out and we couldn’t board. She had us move to a different line and didn’t speak to us again. They got another man off the plane, had him pay for an unpaid lap passenger, then put him back on the plane. There was another customer, behind us that received the same treatment. Thank God that American Airlines was wonderful and supportive and got us onto a flight to our destination last night. Spirit was no help and rude. I would not recommend Spirit and will likely not fly with them in the future. I’ll stick with American whose customer service goes above and beyond every time, even this time when they were both the on a who left us stranded.

Coughing Hector on passenger. Disgusting Flight attendant Hector who was on flight 222 leaving from TN to AL has the audacity to every time while passing nearby me would purposefully cough. When held to his accountability about his intentional disgusting behavior and thought to be transparent with his statement “at least I’m covering my mouth”. Sir Hector, your intentional behavior of purposefully coughing when in my area of sitting and no other place while in the aircraft is reasonably to believe you have a disturbing problem that requires you to have your head and heart checked because professional service lacked and ugly type of behavior that requires me to seriously pray for your soul. Definitely demonic behavior to purposefully cough near a person who you have targeted while your working. This is the very last straw I’ll fly with Spirit because between the service of the airline and now staff, bogus prices for luggage and delays and changing of gates at the last minute, No THANK you… cheap seats doesn’t equate to quality service. ✌🏽✌🏽✌🏽

Flight. I’ve been waiting for a few months now and never heard back from spirit air. I booked a flight in November to Las Vegas . I used myLegal name of Joseph and use my credit cardWhich was billed in the amount of $187. I never got a confirmation for the amount that they took out then I used my debit card and booked a reservation in the name of Joe. they took the money out of my debit card and when I went for my flight out of Detroit to Las Vegas I had no problem when I try to return from Las Vegas to Detroit I had a problem they had no reservation for Joe what they had a reservation for Joseph when I got back home. I checked my bank account and found out that they had taken the money out of my bank account when I inquired in Las Vegas they had no booking for Joe but a booking for Joseph same last name same spelling same birthdate they charged me Joe for a no-show I’ve been trying to get a refund from Spirit Airlines I talk to representatives they told me that the money was not taken out I have proof document of money being taken out of my accountI will not recommend spirit airline to anybody with this kind of run around but I’m getting

Stellar. I will never forget when Covid started n I had already purchased a return ticket from another airline… everything was rapidly closing down in Florida… I couldn’t get through to the airline I had purchased my ticket from n decided to do “call back “ as they suggested… I waited up until 2am n never received a call back from them… so I decided to purchase a new ticket from you… Spirit Airline…. there were lines of people everywhere all over the airport … stranded n trying to get back home… I felt so sorry for all of them …but Spirit Airlines you came through for me… I went through Security…went to my Gate n the plane left right on time… I will be forever grateful to Spirit airlines for coming through for me n all of your customers during one of the most stressful times in our Nation n worldwide Thank you❤️

Baggage information. My first flight on Sprit so I wasn’t familiar with the process. I asked a staff member in the ticket counter area if my luggage was the correct size to be considered as a carry on . She directed me to the stand and told me if it fits in there you can carry it as your personal item . Well I go upstairs to the boarding area where the staff member starts to make announcements about the luggage. I got in line to see if my luggage was ok. But I stepped out of line when it was my turn to again measure my bag . It fit , well when it was time to board , the staff member informed me that I would have to pay $100 to check my bag . I said but it fit in the container you’ll told me to go by . She stated it had to fit sideways . I would have appreciated it , if that information was told to me in the beginning . Also the young lady saw me get out line with the luggage and as a courtesy she could have told me then that I needed to check my bag . Mind you a friend had flown with Sprit with that same bag for free . I just don’t like the inconsistency .

Best Flight EVER!. We were traveling home after spending a few days at Walt Disneyworld in Orlando, FL. Flights with other major airlines were way out of budget since this was Christmas week. I took a chance and booked our flights home with Spirit. I will admit, I was anxious due to poor reviews I’d read online but figured I could tolerate a short flight (2 hours) even if it wasn’t that great. I was nervous our bags would be too big and we’d have to pay to check them but the agent said “Oh! Just those (backpacks)?! You’re fine!” and we had no issues boarding the plane and ever were allowed to use overhead storage (I understand this may not be the norm). When it came time for refreshments/snacks we found the variety very impressive; even though we had to pay for them we didn’t mind because they were high quality, substantial snacks- our son was even able to order Cup Noodles! Our son usually has ear pain on take off/landing due to a history of ear infections which caused some damage but not on this flight!!! When we were leaving the plane, the pilot was coming out of then cockpit, we complimented him on a great flight and he invited my son to come up front and look around. We were VERY satisfied with the airfare fees and overall high quality of services provided by Spirit. We will definitely fly with Spirit in the future!

Save yourself some time: App Doesn’t Work. It’s bad enough to have to fly with Spirit and deal with the zero-notice 3-hour delays, tiny seats, no wifi or outlets, the constant up charges for things like traveling with more than just a purse/backpack, choosing your seat, or getting a mid-flight beverage. To make things worse for their customers, they’re also subjecting us all to their heinous mobile app that logs you out randomly, crashes unexpectedly, and—when everything else is going fine—just isn’t able to communicate with Spirit to pull up flight information or check you in to retrieve boarding passes. I had (literally) 3 minutes of success with the app and was able to get boarding passes for my group’s first flight; immediately afterwards the app become nothing more than a waste of space on my phone. Restarting the app, signing out and signing back in, reinstalling the app, trying it on a different phone, trying it on different days—none of these efforts had any impact. “You have a flight? I’m not sure about that” “I want to check you in but I don’t believe your name is what it is” “Is this airline even traveling today? I can’t find a single flight” “Maybe just go to the website bc I have no idea who you are or what you’re trying to do and I’m pretty sure you’ve never booked a flight with us before” - Famous errors of this godawful waste of time that spirit is calling their App

Used app to make a reservation same day had to make a change. I used this app to recently take a flight. I booked it and I noticed I selected the incorrect boarding time. I immediately updated the flight and it showed as being updated. I noticed 3 days later that my calendar still had my precious flight. So I looked ok the app the make sure. Saw it did not change my flight at all and I had to pay the extra fee to change my flight. I called that evening and I was on the phone to explain and after 20-30 minutes the phone went silent and was not able to reach anyone. I called twice and said it will have someone to call me and wait was unknown. I checked the website and saw it was closed for phone support. I texted the number and waited 2 hours for someone to respond and explained what happened. I know I should have checked back to make sure everything was correct correct but honest I trusted that it would correct itself. I will not use the app to make flights ever again. I will go back to using the website like I had done prior. I really hate that I spent so much money on a flight for the weekend that was equivalent to American Airlines.

Changed my seat without my permission. I am a Spirit frequent flyer and a Free Spirit member. First they cancel my original flight for 4/29, give me a credit that I use on 4/24 to book a flight 5/16. I purchase 2 Big Front Seats, Flex flight, 2 checked bags, 2 carryon bags and priority boarding. Just by chance I check the flight and find out they have moved my partner to a different Big Front Seat and move me back to row 4 an ausle seat. Why? No notification, text, or email asking me if this is ok!!!! Im signed up for text notification and still nothing. I call the number, by the way, what a joke to try and speak to someone!!!! Im told that crew members have been given my paid for seats!!! All they can di is offer me a credit!!!! I say, move your crew members to unpaid seating. Plus, with the virus problems, I paid to be seated with my partner, not strangers!! This is not acceptable treatment to your buying public! Frustration with non-English speaking personnel only makes this maddening!!!!

Rude people on the phone. Here is the reason why I gave them one star .i was going to book a flight through their app but I received an email telling me that something went wrong and I have to call them .so I went ahead and called the phone number in the email I received it so,after 15 min in hold someone answer me he was nice and tell me they the booking didn’t win true because the card declined don’t know why I always use this card for all my purchases but it’s ok .then he told me he can book me by phone and almost after over 40 min he hang the phone and cursing me because he couldn’t finish which I told him it’s ok my concern was just to make sure my card will not charge .then thanked him and told him I can go ahead and book it my self again online that will be easy but he insisted to do it by the phone which the price was more higher than online ,so please everyone read this review don’t waste your time and money with this company specially if you are immigrants,thanks

Most difficult website to use - bad company.. My mother Lin law was dying and need a flight from Myrtle beach. Got on line and tried to book it. Less then 24 hours so it kept showing available but would not book it. Called them and held on almost 1 hour 40 minutes and finally someone came in. Suggested i join their $9 club and go directly to the airport to have them book it. Got there 3 hours prior and was told they could not help me. I told them about holding on for so long and told to join the club. They apologized and said “we hear this all the time”. Offered to file a complaint but they did nothing. Bought a real ticket from a legit airline and got there. Since then tried to see what my $9 club gets me. NOTHING. Sign in and there is no options to use it ANYWHERE. No instructions or help unless you want to wait an hour or more to speak to someone. Go Frontier if you want a discount airline. This may be cheap but no good when all they do is take your money.

Complain. I would like to complain a Janus against this employee in the San Jose airport because we got miss treatment by lady name was Aranza. This lady was so harsh on my wife and I and didn’t give us any information about the airline policies. Apparently she charge us $200 for carry on at the gate of sprit flight and we were advised by her to either you pay $200 or you cancel your trips and you don’t get on board. This lady was very impolite, and on the other hand at the counter of sprit , nobody advised us to check in online or at the counter and somehow we missed that and they send us to the gate and at the gate we had no choice to pay $200 which was impose that money on us, However, we have had very bad experience with this flight and our trips was spoiled by this lady Aranza obviously we just witness after bunch of Spanish traveler that they didn’t pay for their carry-on, and this lady talk to them at least two minutes at the gate and let them go and we think we are victim here by Aranza. However, such an employee is going to be bad example for a spirit airline, we hope people who be concern about such an employee do some action for the future. A horrible experience trying to get seats for my 8 year old daughter and I!!. What a horrible experience I have had with Spirit Airlines. My previous experiences of trying to buy seats on line with Spirit was a hassle, but the most recent was beyond bad! I could not purchase seats, despite numerous attempts for over 5 hours, to fly with my 8 year old daughter. The ap kept coming up with, “oops there is a problem, please try back later.” So, the prices of the seats kept going up as availability went down. Then there were no aisle seats left and almost none left at all. I tried the chat function and finally was assigned seats. The seats were gained after over an hour of dealing with the chat person until after midnight, and they were middle and window and instead of $28 a seat I was charged $92! I’m very tall and the middle seat is uncomfortable and I paid way more for it. Not to mention all the time it took to TRY to get seats and check in all evening. The money saved with Spirit is sometimes a lot, but is is a horrible experience. I will do everything I can to never fly Spirit Airlines again. I would encourage everyone to go with a different airline! The online/ap is totally inefficient and ineffective. Customer service is extremely poor.

Service needs improvement. My siblings surprised me while I was on my birthday vacation in Florida recently which was amazing. I decided to cancel my flight with AA to fly back with them..... I have flown Spirit in the past and thought their service had improved....... The website was difficult to navigate and I was unable to upgrade my seat and pay for my luggage (which would have been free on AA). The ground staff was very unprofessional. Some members were leaning on the counter, others were distracted by their cell phones and one refused to answer a question because she was not 'working'. I paid for my luggage, and my sister realized that she didn't need to pay for her. ( the one personal bag Is very confusing) When I asked for a refund for my luggage. I was told that my bag was already on the belt and there was nothing that could be done. I must admit another employee saw my frustration and attempted to help which ended in the same result. I think this airline needs to be more client centered. I would be happy to offer my services to help to improve the quality of customer service. Love my Spirit Airlines,. When I signed up I got 50,000 points now you get 60,000. That equals a bunch of free flights. I keep getting more points too by using the card in flight or to pay for extra luggage or on board food. I would suggest the card to everyone. I love my Sprits Mastercard. Not good would rate lower!. Honestly had the worst round trip with Spirit! Would never recommend anyone ever fly with them! I’d rather pay a little extra next time then go through all the canceled and delayed flights! First of all if you cancel someone’s flight that had been booked months in advance and purchased seats they should got an email for another available flight for the same day! After 50 minutes on hold I finally got a hold of someone who needed to book me into another flight as the app was not working! They managed to change my flight from FLL (where i was) to PHL(where is was trying to get) it ended up being a flight from PHL to FLL , I got told I was lucky since there was only 1 seat available , but it was still wrong! Then the managed to change my return date (it was never mentioned to the person on the phone to change it) to 2 days later! After getting off the phone and looking at my app to see if the flights had been updated it was all wrong , and had to call again! This time holding for over an hour! Finally got someone else on the line who said that the flight we had tried to book since 8 in the morning after finding out the flight had been canceled had no seats available , but I could see on the website that there were 3 seats open at the time of the call! Honestly I’d give them less than a 1 star rating but it’s not possible!

First Time Flying Spirit. I’m always traveling and American Airlines is always my go to for flights the prices are usually reasonable and they are reliable. I have heard about Spirit over the last couple of years but it was never good things so I never tried it out. My trip last weekend I was coming from Orlando into Charlotte I think the flight was 1148 but I could be mistaken I flew Spirit . Needless to say this was one of the best flying experiences that I’ve had in all my years. The plane was super clean the team you have in place at the Orlando airport as well as the attendants on the flight were absolutely AMAZING!!! I could go on and on about the professionalism and accommodating everyone was not just to me and my Granddaughter but to everyone. You get 5 Stars for whoever did the candidate selection! I just wanted to say to anyone that hasn’t tried out Spirit Airlines you need to jump on it because I wish I would of tried it sooner! They will now be my Go To for all my flights moving forward… Thank you for such an awesome first impression!

Never Again. If I could give lower than one star, I would. Spirit starts low but charges you extra for anything additional such as seat selection and carry ons. If you need to be anywhere on time, don’t use Spirit. I’ve never had as many delays and cancellations as with Spirit. Sometimes multiple delays in one trip. They have a reputation of cancelling your flight in less than 24 hours of your trip with no reason and will not help you rebook. I received a text message that I will receive an email on how to rebook my flight, but never did. I used their chat service and it’s all automated responses and didn’t receive any help after being on hold for hours. I attempted calling and was on hold for 45 minutes until it just hung up after receiving a digital recording stating, “Sorry for the high call volume”. Lastly, the flights always have tough landings like a teenager with a fresh learner’s permit. You think you’re saving money but once you include having to rebook or get another airline last minute because you get no help from Spirit, plus extending your hotel stay, it’s actually pretty costly. STAY AWAY FROM SPIRIT!

Budget travel experience. When I think about budget travel experience, one way or another means expending anyways. Airline savings transfers to hotel, car rental, car rental overhead charges undisclosed until reaching the rental counter, and wait, that is another story; flying with Spirit means that it will keep your informed about changes. They have several ways to contact them. Inflight experience is smooth as flying without air turbulence, sometimes is funny when flight attendants break the ice with their spiced up jokes and activities. Using the app helped to get boarding passes, add them to the wallet, and receive a relief when the automated email confirmation messes up your other passengers names assuming the buyer's last name defaults the others, which is an opportunity. Thanks.

No idea why the flight was canceled on Christmas day! Merry Christmas!!. My son received an email stating that his flight has been canceled on Christmas Day, with no reason why… He has gone out of his way to have a test done and have Christmas with me for the first time in my home since he was 18… So much looking forward to having him home for Christmas! With no help from spirit, He had to rebook it himself for the next day for the same time of departure. They did not rollover!!! Then they lost the reservation for the paid bags for the flight over; he had to fight to get that re-addressed, they put it on his return flight. Thank God he had a return flight because we would’ve lost the money on the paid bags that were paid for and checked in for the flight over!! Yes we are very fortunate that spirit is still alive and therefore available for the vacation travelers… However they don’t make it easy to help you out when they’ve made the changes that they really should help you out with! Want to love you Spirit....but.....

Don’t move your seats using this app. The app okay. I was able to look at my flight time and boarding passes (it did not crash on me like other users seem to deal with). However, I wanted to move our seats on our flight, so I did that. But then it never updated our boarding pass with the new seats I chose. Instead, the pass check to “check at gate”. So, I went up to the attendant and told them the pass said I needed to check in with them and that I had moved our seats using the app. She prints off boarding passes for us and instead of them being he seats I chose, they are all the way at the back of the plane and we are no longer next to one another. I explained to her the seats I had chosen and asked if we could have those, but she said those seats were already taken. If you’re going to make an app, all aspects of the app should function. To show the seats I chose were available and then to find out they actually aren’t and we got moved to the very last row of the plane is very disappointing and frustrating.

Bad Experience. My husband and myself were attempting to fly out of Orlando yesterday with Spirit on flight 1795. Not only did we sit at the airport all day due to delays.. but when we finally we're getting boarded, the woman at the gate was very rude. Mouthed off to me, so I told her she could've been a little nicer. THAT WAS ALL I SAID. We got boarded and next thing we know, we are being kicked off the plane because they said "we appeared intoxicated" which is not true. We are stuck in Orlando currently until tomorrow for the next available flight. My husband and I both work and have been forced to miss 2 days of work/pay. He owns a business and I am a sales manager so it is crucial for us to be present. This incident also forced us to spend more money on hotels, Ubers, food expense etc. I truly hope that this message gets to the right person and that something is done to help relieve us of what we experienced with you all. We will not use Spirit again in the future..

First Time Flying Spirit. I was kind of skeptical about flying Spirit Airlines because I didn’t know anything about it. However, I have been immensely impressed with this airline!! When flying out of ATL, I actually thought that I may miss my flight because I went in the wrong direction toward the incorrect terminal. Once I got headed in the right direction, I was the last person to board the plane! The black lady at the gate was nothing more than the happiest person I had come in contact with that day!! On the plane, I didn’t have a credit card to make a purchase of a drink, when I went to the lavatory, the young flight attendant gave me a drink and I told her that I was okay, but she insisted and said that she would use her card to pay for it!! You guys have FIRST CLASS EMPLOYEES!!!! I would definitely recommend you to others!!!

Pay a little extra and use someone else. I decided to take a chance on Spirit even though everyone jokes about how terrible of an airline they are. I’ve always heard they overbooked every flight and that’s exactly what happened on the trip to Costa Rica. Our tickets said to see the attendant and we were the first in line with about 15 people in line behind us who all had no seats. We were the only ones who got lucky enough to get seats but we shouldn’t have even needed to worry. They told us we didn’t check it in time but the app doesn’t work. It’s garbage. Now I am in Costa Rica hoping I can get back and get my daughter to her college exams, but I have no faith in them. trying to check in on their app and it just goes to a blank page. We tried it on her phone with no luck either. I’m sure they will tell us we didn’t check in in time and have 20 extra people more than they have seats available. This airline is a complete joke! even the people working, the counter were rude, through the luggage after we told them to be careful with it, they had attitude and mopped around like sloths. I wish I had paid the extra money to use a reliable Airline.

Bi-Weekly Traveler. I am a sales executive and travel constantly for work. I fly a different airline for those trips because it’s paid for by my company - there are certain perks I enjoy getting from the company. I am recently engaged and my fiancé lives in Atlanta, I try to get out there every two weeks from Minneapolis. I just started flying Spirit about two months ago for my personal trips and it’s been great! I will go ahead and pass on the food and drinks to save nearly $300 per flight! The staff at Spirit has been great and I am recommending them to all my friends and family. I just booked my return flight for later in August, and it’s $108 including my carryon! Well done Spirit, you have a long term customer in me!

HORRIBLE AIRLINE. Spirit Airline was horrible! Every client should have the right to carry their suitcases for free when checking out our luggage and carry on’s not having to pay exaggerated extra money for one simple suitcase and bag. My family and I had to pay over 100 dollars for a small suitcase and our personal bags each. It’s ridiculous! Seats were so uncomfortable, all worn out and close together and assistance was absent during the flight. Very unstable flight as well and lack of clean and sanitize restrooms and again seats the plane it self. One of my family’s friend flew in this exact same airline which they also experienced multiple conflicts, their plane had malfunctioned and had them wait for a day and few hours more until they could finally aboard their plane, which we highlight the airline did not cover any of the extra costs they had to make involving food not hotel due to these technical issues. I really do not recommend this airline, with the exaggerated extra pointless charges and the airline not being responsive nor considerate to the public is ridiculous.

Not bad at all. I travel every year and gave spirit a try a year ago. Now I only travel on spirit. This is why: 1. Cant beat the prices a lot of times. 2. I’m not sure why or how but I swear u don’t feel the turbulence as much on these planes. I used to travel on United and their planes felt like tin cans and shaking so much. I was a nervous wreck. Have traveled four times in one year in spirit and wow what a difference. I swear the plane does not shake at all even while goi g through turbulence. 3. As long as ur mindful of the extra expenses and how to avoid them ur good. Like check in online, pay for ur luggage when buying the ticket so it’s cheaper. Only bring a carry on or one suitcase but not both bc it’ll cost u like $55 each more or less. Cons: Seats are not too comfortable. If u want to sleep u must bring a neck donut bc the seats head area don’t have those little wings to rest ur head. And bring ur own food like a sandwich bc u have to buy the food and it’s just snacks really. A water bottle is like $3 But that’s hard fly aféala breaker when ur paying a deal of $40 from Nj to Texas plus $45 for a carry on. Also if u can put all u need in a small backpack the size of a purse u don’t pay anything st all for luggage. That’s it! Oh and they’re always on time!

Worse Customer Service Ever. Spirit offers cheap affordable tickets but will cancel flights whenever they chose. When you call customer service to try and make rearrangements, they treat you like you are in the wrong. They offer very little help and are rude to you. I recently planned a trip to Puerto Rico and they canceled my whole trip two weeks before we were to fly out. Instead of just canceling the return flight they cancel the whole flight. When I called customer service was extremely rude, the customer service manager even hung up on me. I arranged for seats and baggage on both fights to and from, when I finally got a customer service manager that would semi-work with me, me and my family were rescheduled on the same flight there, and I was not guaranteed my paid for seats to keep my family together… though I paid for it. And the refunded me my return flight fee except for the seats and luggage fees I paid. Day of flight I talked to the gate about getting the seats I paid for, they refused and again rude. When we finally get back home I try to cancel my spirit membership and they have done nothing but give me the runaround and I still can’t get it canceled. Again customer service is rude. This is the worse air service ever. Thankfully United Airlines treated us way more friendly on our trip back.

Inaccurate flight information. This app was not helpful in any with our recent trip back home from New Orleans. Our flight was delayed 8 hours but according to the app, our flight was on time. All the information about our flight was sent via email and the live employees were next to no help either. I had checked us in for both flights prior to the delay, but somehow we were not checked in for our connecting flight. The flight supervisor was rude and condescending throughout the check in process since it could not be done via the app. I had even called customer service to make sure we had seats and that employee did not alert us we were not checked in. Overall a horrible experience after a wonderful honeymoon. I wouldn’t even give my enemy the vouchers for future travel on a Spirit flight. To compensate us for the 8 hour delay in the airport, Spirit kindly gave us $14 meal voucher for the flight not even inside the airport. Honestly the cheap rates are not worth the headaches this airline is guaranteed to come with.

Great Airline but seats, hmmm. Recently flew Spirit on a nonstop from Myrtle Beach to Boston. Everything was perfect EXCEPT the seating. Flight crew was marvelous, the aircraft was sparkling clean and the flight was smooth as could be. Got in we’ll ahead of schedule. So 5 stars on all of that. But then you sit down. Can’t move the seat at all. Can’t cross your legs. Items stowed under the seat from the passenger behind me were bumping my foot. Fold down tray for any use was really so small it could hardly hold anything. Just waaay too tight! I know, Spirit might say well we offer seats with more leg room so what’s the big deal? Yes, they offer those extra leg room seats but at an extra premium price. C’mon Spirit, do better please! Sacrifice one row, give everyone an extra couple of inches of space and charge a couple extra dollars to each passenger instead of gouging someone to be even halfway comfortable. Thanks for entertaining such a proposal. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has ever expressed this desire for a more comfortable flight experience.

The worst costumer service ever. I prepaid for a Carrie on bag it was smaller then a laptop and easily could have fit under my seat but I had a backpack that was small but full so that’s why I prepaid for the carry on , well I get to the plane to board and they scanned my ticket and no extra bag was found , I didn’t have a physical card but had cash Apple Pay my I’d card information and they would not let me on the plane or take any of my payment systems or the cash , the lady had the nerve to tell me to ask a stranger to pay for me , I’m an intervert and at this point I’m completely humiliated and my anxiety is higher then it’s ever been in my life , they told me to step aside and they were preparing to cancel my flight over this very small issue that was technically there problem to begin with , I’m not a negative person I always try and find the good in things but the way I was treated was extremely uncomfortable embarrassing I will never ever fly spirit ever again in my life , and I’ll go out of my way to tell people to not to fly then as well , thank god a nice older lady heard what was going on because the flight attendant was being loud and obnoxious and offered to put it on her credit card and I gave her a $20 tip on top of the ridiculous $65 fee for the smallest bag ever ! I’m so disappointed in this company 😡

Unhappy traveler. This is our first flight with Spirit Airlines and will be our last. Our trip was in celebration of our 39th anniversary. I upgraded our seats to an exit row and when our new seats were assigned we ended up separated from one another when trying to move seats together, Customer service was horrible, on line chat could not locate our booking and kept requesting an Itinerary number. We have received email correspondence from Spirit twice a day reminding us to pay to select our seats, pay additional fees for a carry on, pay fees for expedited boarding, and Wi-Fi. No itinerary number was provided in any correspondence. - Only our confirmation number. Not having an itinerary number resulted in a 40 minute phone call (majority of time placed on hold) with a representative who was unable to provide assistance, unable to mi e our seats There is no discount with Spirit age yet all charges are added in. I now call “spirit airlines”. The lack of spirit airlines!!!

Asked for a refund. It all started with me canceling my flight within 24hours of booking it and I had the guarantee to make sure I get my money back should I have to cancel for any reason. And unfortunately I did have to cancel I get a reply by their SMS TELLING ME all is good and I should receive a refund within 7 days. Then 15 days later, I received nothing, I try to call and go through all the hoops to be told I didn’t “do my part” after 2 hours of struggling with virtual help and phone conversations with actual Indian representatives( outsourcing probably) . They basically told me to go F#%k myself. So if I can help anyone to stay as far away from spirit airlines as possible, then I’ve done my part. They are horrible and don’t value customers or customer service. The worst possible experience I can ever recall. I’m usually a very tolerable person but when everyone tried to blame you when you have all the proof saying that you did your part and they pretend that it didn’t happen, that’s when I draw the line. To blatantly tell me there’s nothing they can do for me even with all the proof I provided, then I will fire back. I don’t write reviews this way but boy did they push my buttons today. I hope this helps people stay away, far away!!!!

Unreliable. Spirit’s business model is complicated. The ay they nickel and dime requires a lot of complications and options along the reservation process. Unfortunately, the App cannot keep up with all these complications and options. It crashes or transactions do not go through even after multiple tries. Adding a credit card on the App is impossible. The website is a bit more reliable. Though not by much. This is something Spirit has to work on. If others are having the same experience then theu are losing a lot of business because of it. I have often opted to fly on a different airline after getting frustrated from not being able to complete a reservation on the App or end up buying the same flight on Expedia or another reseller.

Personal experience. Spirit started off strong for me, even though many of my friends had told me to avoid them and book with another company. I decided to take my chances on the cheaper ticket. There’s a reason spirit is cheap. Early on spirit was easy to use and laid everything out in plain text on what to expect. However, two days before my flight my grandma had a heart attack and was in the ICU. I called spirit to try and get some guidance on what to do with her tickets and they told me I would get a $120 store credit that only she could use. Keep in mind she’s in the ICU and I paid for the tickets. (This policy makes literally no sense). Also keep in mind, I spent nearly $400 on her tickets… I only got $120 in store credit for a $400 ticket for someone that had a heart attack in the ICU (with paperwork). The company is heartless and is only about business. Don’t expect any chips or drinks, don’t expect any legroom without doubling the price of your ticket, and don’t expect the staff to be nice to you. The company is full of bad vibes and they have no heart whatsoever. I won’t be flying spirit ever again. Any other airline in the world would gladly refund the full amount of the tickets with only spending about $10 more dollars. Avoid this airline.

Very Disappointed. We were getting ready to board our plane and they asked us to return to our seats and within a few minutes they announced that another group of people were going to board our plane instead because their plane had mechanical issues. Our entire plane of people were delayed TWELVE Hours to Orlando causing many of us to miss a connection to other countries by 1 to 3 days! They offered us a refund but no assistance in maintaining our travel plans. We had to spend an additional $300+ per person on another airline to get to our destination AND miss part of our trip, AND spend an extra 8 hours in airports and traveling in the air. When we issued a complaint we were offered $7, yes only $7, for all day in the airport and a $50 voucher for our next flight with Spirit. I have never received such poor service from any airline. Even the lady working the counter where we were boarding was appalled that they would give our plane away and said it was wrong of them to do that. I’m still hoping to be compensated for money and time lost. We will see if they come through for us. We cannot afford to fly with this untrustworthy company.

Just fly Delta and save yourself the headache. Wish I could give this app and airline negative stars !! Booked a birthday trip for my daughter who’s turning 16 - flew Delta to Maine - literally no problems. Flew spirit back through FLL to hit Atlanta delayed 3 times. This is literally unacceptable. Please please please FLY a real airline that actually communicates with and values it’s customers. We had to ask the gate agents repeatedly for updates - one flight attendant was on his personal cell phone and literally couldn’t be bothered with ensuring people received accurate information - he told 3 people twice that the plane wasn’t leaving until 557 which wasn’t true. The only silver lining is that I’m sitting here enjoying laughs with my daughter - unfortunately everyone else is highly upset and beside themselves. #flydelta

Please avoid this airline. It might be cheaper but cheap will cost you more, I did booked a flight with months of anticipation and with months of trip planning, I did booked spirit instead of DELTA to save me just 50 bucks, at the day of the flight, they made me wait more than 5 hours postponing the flight at the end canceling the flight with no reason given, I tried to reschedule the flight for a couple hour late but the was no more flight landing until the next day, making me cancel all the reservations and appointments for that day making me pay the cancelling at last moment fees, and I did request a refund for the flight right after, but i after a few days I haven’t got any email regarding the refund, so I speaked to an agent and I did give him every details and he did submit for me a refund request, that happened long days ago, and today a received a email regarding my refund request sayin that it wasn’t approved due wrong information when I give every exact detail, and now I’m just keep waiting on the calls and emails and still don’t have a response… please avoid this airline just to save you a few bucks, cheap will cost you more.

This App doesn’t work at all. It’s really frustrating when they forces you to download the app that every single click show a message “ups something it’s wrong try later” I’ve trying to check in for 2 hours and the App still the same. Really bad

Flight. It was a nice flight

Terrible app. First, I resent being REQUIRED to use an app to check in for a flight. Next, its tons of hoops they want you to jump through with information entering and document scanning, which it fails to do and throws errors, saying to try later. It demands information not legally required, which i find very invasive. Once you get through all that BS, to check in is like trying to check out of a godaddy site purchase… a dozen upcharge attempts for every conceivable detail. Tech is no longer a shortcut or efficiency. Its a corporate $ grab that slows everything down and infuriates customers. Its really making travel not fun. As a global nomad who has traveled very extensively much of my life, I find myself shying away from the frequency due to companies like this, making it all about their profits and data harvesting, and NOT service.

Flight mco to DTW was delayed by 4 hours. This delay after our cruise will have us waiting 12 hours at the airport.

Beyond Useless. When you enter your flight details it spins until you get an error message and it doesn’t matter how many times you re-try! Deleted the app.

First time. We had our first flight with Spirit March 12/2020, our experience was FANTASTIC!! Everything was on time, clean and the staff were great! We had to leave earlier than expected due to covid 19. Rebooking our flights was simple and stress free. We have zero complaints and will definitely be flying Spirit again! ✈️

Orlando to Detroit. I was very impressed with the friendly/ helpful staff and the whole flight, it was perfect, start to finish!! No complaints what so ever!! I will definitely fly Spirit again ❤️

Great Airline. We are Canadian Snowbirds and decided to visit friends in Nashville after finding very reasonable flight costs from Fort Lauderdale and perfect schedules. We are very very impressed with the cost, service, communication and the crews sense of humour. We are now planning on traveling more often if we can get rates this good.

Worst service and airline. At the airport the staff gave me the worst advice, I paid $100 for baggage then had to pay $125 extra for being 5lb overweight. Could have been avoided by just checking my carry on which they also charged me $50 for, no help at all. These guys are a scam

Scam company, just like Ryan Air. They advertise low prices, then charge you for extra stuff that they don’t tell you about: - must check in online, or you pay extra fee - carry-on bags extra fee - even though they say you can cancel your flight within 24 hours of booking, they will charge you a “cancelation fee + admin fee” that ads up to the same or more than your ticket. - service is terrible. The flight was on time, then delayed for a hour and a half due to technical issues. After 2 hours they finally brought passengers onto the buses and out to the plane, but the plane doors we locked and no one would explain why we weren’t allowed in. They made us stan in the hot Cabo sun for 45min before a supervisor finally came out and instructed the bus to return and bring us back to the terminal. Once we returned, Spirit airline staff mentioned that they should not have sent us out to the plane in the first place, but still had no idea what’s going on. Avoid this company if you can.

Keeps Crashing. Every time I try to check in the app crashes I’ve reloaded the app several times hoping it might help. It didn’t :(

Spirit “Virgin”. First time flying Spirit. The entire process, from purchase to deplaning, is straightforward and pleasant.

Update didn’t fix iOS issue. Update didn’t fix the problem of crashing once I put in my information. Just spins forever and then goes black screen and crashes. Also get a red notification “JSON could not be serialized because of error: The data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format”. Whatever that means. Please fix!

Nice but slow. The app is nice but a little slow. Downloaded my tickets and on five, three of them have no scannable square. Have to contact them.

???. I downloaded the app and i can’t even enter my flight details to have access to my boarding pass and my dad was able to do it on his phone. Unexplainable and not very useful for me!!!!

Not a state. I tried to purchase a seat and due to the fact my address is not US i can not chose a state or have an option or a province so it would not work. I could not pay for or chose a seat i wanted.

Service was awful. Terrible first time experience with Spirit. We found out at check in at the Detroit airport that our flight was cancelled due to “weather”. Yet all the other airlines were operating and completing their routes. Very non caring and unfriendly service at the check in desks too. They could have at least pretended to empathize. The next flight they could book for us wasn’t for another 24 hours which would have taken a whole day off of our 5 day getaway. We booked with another airline but were very late arriving at our destination airport and could not pick up our rental car at 1:00am. Huge cab fees to our hotel and then back again to get the car rental. We were told Spirit had multiple cancelled flights the same day for some reason. We do not believe it was weather related and most of the other frustrated passengers felt the same. Never again.

Doesn’t work 😐. The app will not allow me to put in trip dates or passenger birth dates even though they require it. Can’t get past the first screen ugh.

Worst airlines. Had 5kg extra they charged $99 usd! Never book with this airline its the worst

Spirit efficiency. Spirit wastes Nothing. Very efficient use Inly what U need!! Love it !!

It’s not worth the discount. I know the fact that spirit is less expensive is really tempting, but please guys if you see this. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. They cancelled our flight once, we stayed overnight to catch the next one, then they cancelled again. By then it was too late to have our whole trip. They boarded everyone, had us wait inside for an hour, then cancelled because they did not have a pilot 😭what airline doesn’t have a pilot? What airline doesn’t have a pilot and boards everyone anyways? They nearly refused to refund us too, though that was kind of our fault for booking with a 3rd party.

Awesome app and staff at SJO ( San Jose Costa Rica ). I was very happy to come to the airport and see s fully staffed counter. It was my first real flight with Spirit. SJO counter where quick , professional and in good spirit. No pun intended. The app seems to work well. Still learning the spirit system, but the app works very effectively. Understanding any airlines system is important, more explanation about the different “ client packages “ would be helpful. Will use spirits app again, and the minor tweaks im suggesting is more like added glossary to explain the different benefits with spirit membership. Over all good job spirit!

Cheap airline that ends up eating your wallet. Worst airline you could ever think of. If you are trying to have a real bad day please book with them and have fun trying to figure out how to move your family from point A to point B for a vacation trip. Having not only 1 but 3 flights cancelled in a day. You won’t only loose time and money, you will also loose your other important reservations like the car rental because of course everything is messed up at this point. You start paying a “good price” when booking your flight but after all the hidden costs you pay more than you’d pay with another airline that already includes all of them. I cannot express my frustration with Spirit Airlines enough in this review but I hope I can warn whoever is reading this that you’re about to have the time of your life (lol) when flying with this messy Airlines.

Mommy. I am 56 years old woman just trying to fly to NC to see mommy. I don’t know the last time I seen my mother. I know her church flew her up when my son was murdered in 2009 and maybe 1-2 times after that. I tried sending for her a couple of times and lost my mind before she didn’t come. So it’s time for me to visit her. My mother lives along and rides the buses and trains. I tried to go for this past Mother’s Day but that didn’t work out. I work for the school system so no work for the summer. I do believe that is going to happened and we both will have the best of times together. My mother raised 9 children but still feels along.♥️

Worst ever!. First they have a maximum luggage weight limit of only 40lbs, which means if you fly another flight the opposing direction that has the regular 50 lb weight limit like we did you’re in trouble disposing of weight or paying an exorbitant amount for the extra. Feels like a scam. The airport was short staffed in security which put getting on to the plane tight. . At least 5 people including me did not make the flight. They did not call passengers or hold the door for even a minute. Had they held the door 2 minutes everyone would have gotten on. The plane would have still been able to leave on time. The rude staff didn’t offer any assistance and pretty much said too bad go away. They offered no compensation. I am a professional and I also have a large extended family and we travel for business and fun. I will make sure to share my experience with everyone I know so they don’t have the same horrible experience.

Have not yet had an issue. Feel horrible for the people with such bad experiences! I haven’t had an issue (prob jinxing myself here) I pay a cheap price.. so not complaining about no free snack or drink on plane.. had a nice size rolling suitcase from Walmart - fit as my free personal bag with 5 days worth of stuff packed .. never really had an issue with taking off late or cancellation. Maybe I’m just lucky with spirit? It’s nice to have an option when you can’t necessarily afford the others, and really just want to be able to visit loved ones far away. If I HAD to complain about something my son is 6’3” and has to sit sideways but they offer bigger seats. Just too pricey. He can sit sideways not a long flight lol

My flight # was NK2285 my confirmation # INU45B seat 1C at boarding the person sitting next to Me came in and was drunk the flight attendants a you lady and young man ask if he will be ok at first I said he will be ok then he started acting inappropriate and loud i motioned to them this was going to be a problem they called the check in lady she came on board and watched him then had him removed myself and a few others thanked the flight attendants they did quick and professional job also both the pilot and copilot was very nice and courteous young men the take off and landing and the flight was one of the best flights I’ve had thank you for a great experience

Spirit App is the worst!. After numerous screens of inputting flight preferences, passenger details and credit card for payment, tried to submit and get “oops something went wrong try again”. So I review all entries see nothing wrong but I re-enter details and still can’t confirm flights. I wait until next morning thinking maybe technical difficulties on Spirit App, this time the App seems to be working but the flight fares have increased. This is so not right and unacceptable! After numerous calls to customer support, no rep can help with my issue or honor me the original flight fare. I send them screen shot of fare but they want screen shot of error message. I could scream. Why can’t Spirit just make a courtesy adjustment. What is Spirit Airline going to gain from increase charge of $150. Very disappointing and very dissatisfied customer. It’s no wonder more people fly United.

Cant book thru app. Defeats the purpose of the app. Every time I try to add a payment method and save I get an “Oops” error message. I have to go to the website and book flights. Weird enough, my payment method is stored in my login and no problems through the website just the app. You would think that would be a priority to fix. Sometimes when I check flight status, I get ab error message. My flights dont always show in the app, I have to manually add them if I book through the site. I fly frequently and Spirit is the worst airline app Ive used due to the inconsistencies between their site and app and all of the errors. When you're traveling, flight information needs to be available at a glance. I find myself frequently digging through confirmation emails to find the information I need which is just aggravating. This app really needs some help.

Complaint. I am in the marine corps infantry and I just got back from a long terrible deployment about a month ago. My flight was canceled on me only hours before it’s departure along with about a hundred others. Everyone including myself were left to sleep in the airport while trying to rebook new and very expensive flights. I only get very few days allotted to me to go and see my family and now multiple days are gone do to my last minute cancellation. I’m a grown man so I am not going to demean your airline, respectfully. But I want Spirit airline to know how much trouble you have caused me. Other airlines were taking off to the same exact destination I was going so I don’t find weather to be an excuse. I am now spending $1,000 on a new ticket. I’m in the military I make next to nothing. Again, I cannot stress that I am not approaching this as a victim it could have been a lot worse. Thank you for taking the time to read this it means a lot.

The absolute best airline!!. Don’t let the bad things people have to say about spirit stop you from experiencing the airline on your own. I was once skeptical because people were always talking down on spirit but I have flown exclusively spirit for the past 2 years and I have yet to be let down. Spirit is an Al a carte airline so anything that you don’t want to use you don’t pay for. Even when I have tried to book with other airlines In the past 2 years they have last minute canceled often with no explanation, not so spirit! Spirit came through each and every time another airline failed to meet expectations. I am a huge sprit fan and will continue to fly them forever. I love spirit.

Unsafe planes. Just landed at our destination our flight announced we were 30 minutes away from landing. Then out of nowhere says we can’t land due to “operational issues”, and had to now go to Baltimore to land. Kids were screaming and crying at the top of their lungs. The response given to passengers was “don’t ask the flight attendants questions because they had limited information”. Shortly after the pilot admitted something was wrong with the nose of the plane and wasn’t safe and that the plane needed to be towed into the gate. After a long slow dragging the plane to the gate, we get to baggage claim and the bags were not released due to an issue with the hydraulics of the door. So many issues and no information given to passengers makes me really question the safety of the airline, and why they’re not straightforward with passengers.

Save yourself some time: App Doesn’t Work. It’s bad enough to have to fly with Spirit and deal with the zero-notice 3-hour delays, tiny seats, no wifi or outlets, the constant up charges for things like traveling with more than just a purse/backpack, choosing your seat, or getting a mid-flight beverage. To make things worse for their customers, they’re also subjecting us all to their heinous mobile app that logs you out randomly, crashes unexpectedly, and—when everything else is going fine—just isn’t able to communicate with Spirit to pull up flight information or check you in to retrieve boarding passes. I had (literally) 3 minutes of success with the app and was able to get boarding passes for my group’s first flight; immediately afterwards the app become nothing more than a waste of space on my phone. Restarting the app, signing out and signing back in, reinstalling the app, trying it on a different phone, trying it on different days—none of these efforts had any impact. “You have a flight? I’m not sure about that” “I want to check you in but I don’t believe your name is what it is” “Is this airline even traveling today? I can’t find a single flight” “Maybe just go to the website bc I have no idea who you are or what you’re trying to do and I’m pretty sure you’ve never booked a flight with us before” - Famous errors of this godawful waste of time that spirit is calling their App

Worst Airline Ever. Truly Spirit is overpriced considering the type of service it provides. This business has no principal and no type of customer care. This airline is completely disorganized and unhelpful. To top it all off, they do not refund you for missed flights due to their disorganization. They do not even refund if someone is sick!!! It is no coincidence more than 20 people miss a flight and are upset. Then, Spirit does absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. A large group and I waited over an hour at the airport to be attended and find the next flight. I lost $1,200 and was not refunded. No one has been helpful. Not the supervisor or customer representatives. I truly feel scammed of my money. I hope that someone reads this and rethinks their decision of flying with Spirit. I have called so many times and been on hold for so long. I am convinced no one representing this company helps or cares.

BEWARE! CROOKS! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!. I had booked a flight in December for the holidays so I can see my family. I typically would never fly this airline but everything else was very expensive. I ended up getting Covid and canceled my flight with them. When I called customer service to dispute my transaction the woman was arguing with me and was absolutely no help at all. Then looking through their confusing app I found where I had to send a transcript for a dispute through email, which I did, four times in the past two months and without any response from them. I finally figured out which credit card I had used for the transaction and called my cc company to have them dispute it. It’s a $500 transaction that I refuse to pay. I have the proof I didn’t take the flight and I had Covid so I wouldn’t have been able to fly anyways. I will never attempt to use this airline service again and I advise nobody else to as well!

My last flight. To start off i paid over 500 in flight changes, no problem. My husband and I already paid 100 extra a seat for our seats, no problem. We paid for our bags i have the receipts. We get to the gate the women yells at my husband demanding him he must check his bag she was so rude , she did not belong in customer service. They banter back and forth stating his carry on which was paid for wont fit which we must now pay to have checked. I go to the front which they state I didn’t pay extremely rudely and if we wanted to board we must pay 65 dollars to check or carry on a bag even though i showed the confirmation receipt, and bank statement. We paid again. Then we boarded the flight attendant on. Multiple occasions asked people to put masks on then proceeded to un mask chat and drink with her other flight attendant friends . I will never fly sprit again and will be reporting this flight to the highest people i possibly can

Grateful for their customer service. My initial experience was bumpy… there was an issue with my reservation the day before the trip but customer service resolved my issue. Yes, it was stressful and I had to go through the process. But they resolved my issue. And on my return trip I was not able to fly back, customer service was not only helpful, they were kind and so friendly. I read some bad reviews about this company and I was so put off by all of them and my initial issue with my reservation… but honestly, MY experience with their service and friendliness has been wonderful!

I think those people that gave them 5 stars maybe they work with the same airline or they paid them because that’s absolutely a big lie to give this airline a 5 stars I have been traveling all around and used many airlines but one like this airline I never seen , one of the worst airlines ever and don’t trust them you buy the ticket and you make your plans then they change your flight from a direct flight to a layover flight and give you no option because you already had your plans and always if you book with them just be ready for your flight to be delayed it really doesn’t worth it with this ignorant company you pay more and take another flight will be better than flying with these ignorant company . First time flying Spirit. After they announced that there’s a delay due to shortage of flight attendants we all waited 2+ hrs. not knowing anything. No one was saying anything and left us just wondering. It was my first flight on Spirit airlines and it almost got canceled. There was a long stretch where the staff left the counter and we’re all like what’s happening?? It was crazy! Everyone were bored, tired, sleepy, hangry. It seemed like we were all praying to God the whole 2 hrs. Then finally someone suggested asking a flight attendant from another canceled flight to fly on our flight and after another half hour finally announce we’re boarding . Everyone cheered!! Then I said I’m never flying Spirit again.

Missed flight due to spirit. On our way out to Vegas for our honeymoon, we missed our connecting flight due to spirit not checking us in when we first arrived at the airport. However, they were kind enough to check our bags all the way to Vegas, just not us. When we arrived at the gate, we were told it’s too late to check in, even though people were still boarding and the plane was still there, and we had to go to the front check in area where they told us the earliest they could get us on a flight was the next day. With no luggage, and car rental and hotels booked for that night. We ended booking with another airline last minute, which was NOT cheap just so we could get to our destination and enjoy our honeymoon. Unfortunately we are still flying home with spirit, but after this experience it will most certainly be our last time.

Last Flight From Miami. One of the assistant was very un professional. He stop me and other customers because the size of the personal item. She was more interesting to charge $99 that explain the reason of why we need to pay. Didn’t offer any alternative to our situation just only pay. Online charges are less expensive, why does she didn’t said that?, and repeat one time to another I teaching you to travel, what’s that? Teaching travel… but never said that can paid less online! My bag size is over only by the bag wheels. I traveled with Frontier to Miami that have the same dimensions for personal item, same bag and no problem. So Spirit need to teach their check in people that be more friendly with customers and found a better solution when size isn’t correct. And the bags prices are too high compare with Jet Blue or others. For the rest of my life will try never flight again with Spirit.

Keeps Crashing. Both mine and my wife’s apps crash whenever we click on one of our trips. How do they expect you to check in through electronic means if they don’t provide proper tools? Customer service was no help. Just kept reading from their scripts. We are pretty committed to this airline, but come on, fix your tool. We cannot always print when traveling. Should not have to use work arounds. They suggest using online check in and they will email the boarding pass. Should not have to. Using that method you can’t save the boarding pass to your wallet. We are happy to check in electronically, but if your app is not working at all, then scrap it and start over with better technology.

Better off with Amelia Earnhardt.. Took a shot in the dark with Spirit cause I needed a flight to Mexico while Delta was $1200+. Got to the airport and received an email saying to opt in with a later flight and cancel my ticket. (Should’ve known by that moment) 10 minutes before departure, Spirit canceled the flight. Notified by email, not the app until after. They operate once a day so you have to fly somewhere else, hoping to get another flight home. Or you waste money on a hotel spending the night and trying again the next day or TWO, which Delta would be cheaper either way. The customer service is appalling. ONE plane compared to the Big 3s, 27 airplanes. Not sure how they make money when so few planes take off and land. Better off with Amelia since they both have reputation of not making it to their destinations.

Disappointed for the second time.. I usually fly Delta and am a member of their silver medallion club. My TSA pre-check usually prints right on my boarding pass and it’s easy. When I left Atlanta the agent was having difficulty checking me in so she entered my license number and DELETED my TSA info I’d put in the day before. I didn’t have my known traveler number with me so I was unable to re-enter it and had to stand in a long security line. She said she didn’t mean to delete it. Really?? Anyhow your app also has lots if glitches. Your reviews would be better if you’d address your IT problems. The plane from Atlanta to Austin didn’t have a working sink so Sami-wiped were offered to customers. I am a surgical nurse and I would have personally grounded any plane without working sinks. We are in the middle of a PANDEMIC and flying into a hotspot (Austin). Need to work in some things before I’ll fly spirit again. Juneria “June” Chocalo

Worst airline ever. They cancelled a round trip that I paid for, because I got better flight with united, never notified me of the “total” cancellation of my round trip ticket I paid for. It took over 2 hours to get it reinstated, and I had to pay “again” for my carry on, and had to check back in several times, because the confirmation information to my email was incorrect. They just couldn’t understand how to get my carry on status to “carry” on. Finally after all that they tried to bill for the flight, which I had already paid for in the beginning. At this point, I am just praying I make it home alive. Never again will I use Spirit and also I’m never again going to use Travelocity. I don’t have any confidence my return trip will successful. I am sure they are going to wack me with some additional charge. What a nightmare!

Misinformation. We were warned by “others” that Spirit airline travel should be expected to be problematic & disappointing. However, my niece & nephew booked mom’s & my flight with Spirit anyway, because they had had nothing but positive experiences during previous travel occasions. So, I trusted their experience & judgement. And I am glad that I did. The others were mistaken. We enjoyed everything about our flight. Accommodations & service were excellent, and yet, affordable. Even the checking of mom’s transporter, and wheelchair accommodations at the airport went smoothly. Thank you, Spirit, for an awesome travel experience. We will definitely patronize your service in the future. Kudos!

Worst Customer service experience ever!!!. THIS IS THEE WORST AIRLINE I HAVE EVER DELT WITH!! No clear answers were given. The representative kept going in circles. They didn’t know how to answer a simple question. The representative who was supposed to be at the gate never called out for last minute boarding or anything of the sort. She did now take any responsibility of her actions and stormed off like a child and handed the problem to her co-worker. This is the 3rd time my flight is delayed in three different occasions. I understand it being late up to an hour, but more than 6 hours and be given a $7 dollar meal voucher!?!? Are you serious!?!? A single meal is min $20 at the airport!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU LOOK AT A DIFFERENT AIRLINE!!!! DO NOT TAKE THIS WARNING LIGHTLY!!!! Do not let this airline make you feel distraught or angry or helpless by taking their cheap flight. It is not worth it.

Love my Spirit Airlines,. When I signed up I got 50,000 points now you get 60,000. That equals a bunch of free flights. Could not add payment method. Went to check in for my flight the day before on the app. Since I have a carry on, I selected the options to add a carry on bay and pay $60 for it. When I got to the final screen and “add payment method”, it kept giving me an error saying it could not complete it, and to try again later. I tried three different cards that I know all work. Kept trying until I got to the airport where I assumed I could just pay for it there. When I got to my gate, even though I let them know that the app (which is pretty much the only place you can pay for a checked bag, tried on their website which just told me to get the app) wouldn’t let me add a payment method to pay for my checked bag, they still charged me $99 instead of $60 because they said I should have paid for it downstairs before security. Just wasted $39 bucks because the app wasn’t working :/

Good and Bad. I travel with Spirit all the time and I never have a problem except when the time comes to change a flight at which point I strongly suggest to Spirit to please change your policy in that aspect! work with people if a flight needs to be adjusted! That $100 fee is unfair! I couldn’t make at least two of my scheduled flights these past few months and I had to take the lost and purchase an entirely new ticket! When Spirit could have at least given me the credit to use but instead I feel robbed by my favorite and reasonable airline! Come on guys work with the people not against!

Rude people on the phone. Here is the reason why I gave them one star .i was going to book a flight through their app but I received an email telling me that something went wrong and I have to call them .so I went ahead and called the phone number in the email I received it so,after 15 min in hold someone answer me he was nice and tell me they the booking didn’t win true because the card declined don’t know why I always use this card for all my purchases but it’s ok .then he told me he can book me by phone and almost after over 40 min he hang the phone and cursing me because he couldn’t finish which I told him it’s ok my concern was just to make sure my card will not charge .then thanked him and told him I can go ahead and book it my self again online that will be easy but he insisted to do it by the phone which the price was more higher than online ,so please everyone read this review don’t waste your time and money with this company specially if you are immigrants,thanks

On line booking. I am on a trip to NY, going back home tomorrow Booked through Expedia and for some strange reason my flight back tomorrow confirmed a carry on AND a check in bag. I saw this mistake right away and called the help desk who was extremely unhelpful, explained I only have one carry on the same as trip coming, the representative would not refund the check in bag told her I just did the check in like 2 minutes ago and explained it was a typo she told me she could put the money as a credit as along as I book something within 90 days. I am elderly and disabled I live off of SS so my money is really tight I don’t have $73 to just give away. Other than that the flight and crew were very good and pleasant

App only. I feel that the check in process and flight booking has been an easy process. I hope my flight is just as smooth. Update: flight leaving Indianapolis was 1.5 hr delay. I was supposed to land in Tampa at 10:17pm and it was 12am when we touched the ground. When I was leaving Tampa, I checked in the day before. The morning I woke up to a voucher for $21 food/drink and a canceled flight. I was stuck in Tampa alone and had to find another way home to work in the morning. I thought I had an easy enough flight that there could not be an issue, I thought wrong. I also thought “not EVERYONE can have a bad flight with Spirit, we just hear about the bad” BOTH my flying/ non flying experiences with Spirit were BAD!

Worst website, app, and customer service ever. Congratulations for maintaining your reputation as the worst airline available. Your website is a glitchy nightmare and I triedbto ise it on multiple devices with no luck. Then I downloaded the app and received errors. I wasn’t able to pay for my bag when it was $66 because your site kept giving me errors messages and then it was raised to $73 for a carry on. I don’t even have a rolling bag, but my backpack is slightly over the free size. Your customer service was terrible and then when I tried to participate in the survey and left a voice review, I got a recorded message saying to try again later. Does anything work right with spirit?! This is a total rip off and a cop out as a “discount” airline with the cost of everything together. This was the last chance for me with this airline and unfortunately another typical and horrible experience

My first review of an app... I’ve never wrote a review for a bad app but I had to do it this time. I don’t understand how a national company this big that flies people all over the country can’t afford to hire a real development team. This app has countless bugs. I am an IT admin so I deal with electronics everyday but I can’t get the app to finish the check in process. If I relaunch the app multiple times I will get a different upgrade price for the same seat. Then in the total price summary the seats will be yet again a different price. When you get the pay button, it shows a different price from the total above. Once you just bite the bullet and pay what it decided randomly then an error will come up saying to contact agent for full check in- not paid in full. I would love to pay so I don’t have to deal with it at the airport but no, not in this app. I will not fly this airline until I hear that the basic functionality issues are resolved. Going back to United.

My Experience. I’ve never had a problem with Spirit, I believe in giving someone or something a chance to prove themselves before I judge. Based on Mu past experiences with Spirit Airlines I personally have no complaints, all of my flights have been with great, friendly staff & I’ve been treated like family, I recommend Spirit wholeheartedly, it’s Budget Friendly for families with multiple members where that can turn out really expensive, I love Spirit, it’s the only way to fly. If you’ve experienced something otherwise just know we all deserve a second chance so why not, see you soon on my next flight FAMILY & FRIENDS ‼️

This app made me write a review. I’ve never written a review for an app before. I’ve never felt strongly enough. However there’s a first time for everything! This app is a waste of space. None of the functionality ever works. I end up using the website and even there only about half the functionality works. I’m all about a bargain airline but not having a functioning app is next level. Why even have an app if it doesn’t work? Just get rid of it. You make everyone print their boarding passes anyway and the check flight status doesn’t work and I can’t look up my trips so really, just fire the developers in charge and instead allocate that money to try and improve efficiency so when I’m checking how delayed my flight is (on safari because I can’t in the app) maybe it’ll only be delayed a little bit because let’s be realistic it’ll always be delayed - it’s just a matter of by how much.

Overcharged and left to wait on the refund. While on vacation in Austin, we used this app to purchase our bags and check in for our upcoming flight. An error message appeared on the app, indicating our baggage payment hadn’t processed, so we tried it again several more times only for it to suddenly inform us that it had been working the entire time and we had purchased 10 bags instead of 2 and charging us $450 instead of $90. This left us with $17 in our bank account while traveling abroad. After 2 hours on the phone between Spirit and the bank, we were informed that due to the way they process transactions, our money would be returned to us in 5-7 business days. To add insult to injury, I had to fight with a customer service rep to even have our bags compensated for the idiotic mishandling. I’m beyond disappointed with this experience. I’ve flown budget carriers around the world, but this is by far the most pathetic excuse for an airline I’ve ever seen.

App issues. I know Spirit has a bad reputation but didn’t think it would also be reflected in the app. I made a round trip reservation via Expedia and downloaded the Spirit app to get seat, bag info, etc. …and I knew they have all sorts of extra charges 🙄 (another $160 on top of my ticket purchase) but my issue is I had to enter my credit card info each time I made a purchase. Seat assignment? Enter credit card and pay for that individual item. No option (that I could find) to purchase my seat assignments and checked bags at once. Wouldn’t save my Card info for later either even after I purchased the first seat assignment. 🤷‍♂️ I just can’t believe that happened. Life is hard enough during the pandemic that the little things going smoothly would’ve been nice. Will do my best to avoid this airline from now on.

The truth. I know everyone trips about flying spirit because of the safety and comfort of the flights but I have chose to only fly spirit for the last 3 years due to them not canceling flights often and being cheaper than any other flight and I have yet to die and met some very interesting characters along the way. Highly recommend! There’s a good chance that the ones giving bad reviews are full of themselves and think they deserve more than they paid for. With that said I would like baggage to be cheaper. I have 1641 followers on instagram (probably less than 500 that are active) and I am willing to shoutout spirit for free luggage on every flight for the next 100 years.

Unifi. I have noticed there are employees working with shirts on that say unifi. Not sure if this a partner you are using at the Myrtle Beach airport but they called zone 1 to board the flight as well as active duty and veterans, my boyfriend and I were zone 4 but he is a veteran so we got to the front of the line and the blonde girl who scanned our ticket had the nerve to tell me next time when she says zone 1 it’s only zone 1. This was insulting due to the fact they just welcomed veterans and thanked them for their service. She may not be a spirit employee but I responded he was military. Next time maybe she will think twice about her rude comment.

Spirit Service. Spirit Airline service is now considered one step above public transportation bus service. You know the bus will arrive at the bus stop sometime within 1 hr of the scheduled time, you know it will arrive after it arrives if the driver wants to, you have no idea if there will be space for you even if you have a paid ticket and a boarding pass. The service counter cannot help you, the boarding desk counter and flight attendants speak so fast that you barely understand. Service is not a value or expectation at or from Spirit. Spirit will actualy sell you a ticket three weeks before a flight in full knowledge that there is no way to make the connection! There is no sufficient staff or supervision at the airport. A few months ago I had to bribe a boarding gate attendant to get on a flight for which I had a boarding pass and had waited for two hours.

Bi-Weekly Traveler. I am a sales executive and travel constantly for work. I fly a different airline for those trips because it’s paid for by my company - there are certain perks I enjoy getting from the company. I am recently engaged and my fiancé lives in Atlanta, I try to get out there every two weeks from Minneapolis. I just started flying Spirit about two months ago for my personal trips and it’s been great! I will go ahead and pass on the food and drinks to save nearly $300 per flight! The staff at Spirit has been great and I am recommending them to all my friends and family. I just booked my return flight for later in August, and it’s $108 including my carryon! Well done Spirit, you have a long term customer in me!

Does Not Deserve Even a Single Star. I saw that this app only had 1.8 stars but I thought, how bad could it be?Admittedly I did not read the reviews right away. Simple concept and plenty of other airlines can do it, why can’t Spirit? Boy was I wrong! This app is literally the worst app I have ever used. It crashes every time I attempt to use it. Our flight got canceled and I tried to use it to reschedule, view statuses, and check-in. I could do nothing on it. My husband finally called to reschedule. He had to wait for about a half hour just to reach someone. So frustrating when it could’ve been all done in a good app in less than 10 minutes. I finally went on a computer to check in and add my baggage. I am unable to pull up my boarding pass and after reading the reviews don’t trust that it’ll work at the airport either so will be printing them. Hire a new development team Spirit!

Worst service and worst airline every. I made reservations 3 days ago for Oct 30 flight (one way) but for some reason, they booked it for Oct 28th. I was about to check in to my flight, but reservation was gone. I was told I was a “no show” on Oct 28th, and therefore I am being charged the $300+ ticket. When I asked them - why would I do a reservation a day before the flight and not show up for it - did not make any sense. Instead of crediting me for it by correcting their records, the Supervisor, Joyce told me she can’t credit me. Guess what, I will reject the payment with my credit card and I will also never fly again on Spirit Airline - horrific customer service - they keep you on the phone for an hour to wait for someone to pick up the call. they rip you off on charging for carry-on, seat, etc. Better to pay a bit extra to United or JetBlue and not worthwhile flying Spirit. Worst airline ever.

They are the worst.. They canceled my flight. Coming home from Boston. When I called to make a new booking they didn’t have anything available till two days later. I already paid for stay where I can’t get a refund. Also they said if they get me a new booking I’d have to pay. They refunded me 177 dollars for two people one way. Your telling me it’s 80 bucks a person for a one way flight from the east coast to the west coast. No way. I did purchase through Expedia, but there is no way my one way flight to Boston for two tickets was 419 dollars for two people and my way back was 177. Also, hopper and other websites have flights up for spirit on the 9 and 10th of October still up even though they said there wasn’t any. They are the worst. Never flying with them again.

First trip. Last week we had to fly to Cleveland from Florida for a family funeral. We had never flown on Spirit and many of the reviews were unfavorable, but it was the only last minute flight we could find. Much to our surprise, it was great! The flight attendants were very friendly and the seats were also good. We had flown with another airline and said never again, but Spirit was great! You must pay for luggage and seats and snacks, but the flight was fine. There is cushioning on the seats and everyone is courteous and we are so happy we chose them. Thank you Spirit for making such a sad event better.

Yes, the app is as bad as everyone says. I read the reviews before installing the app, so I knew that it was not going to be pretty. But I prefer using a digital boarding pass on my phone instead of having to print a paper copy and trying to keep track of it, so I took a chance on the app. It is utter garbage! I couldn’t even access any of the features because it would not allow me to sign in. My last name is St. Pierre and I kept getting a “validation error” for my surname. Obviously whoever created the app never considered that someone might have a surname that has punctuation or a space in it. I checked my confirmation email to see how Spirit had listed my last name (St Pierre) and tried that ... did not work. So I tried every other variation (no period/no space, period/space, all caps, no caps etc. etc.) and nothing worked! So I’ve now deleted the app and will resort to paper boarding pass. Useless! Ugh!

You’ve been good to me, Spirit!. Truly, Spirit Airlines lives up to the meaning of their name. I’ve flown Spirit for many years now, and I’ve had the most positive experience overall! There was once bad weather, awaiting me in Maryland. Because of that, my flight from Jamaica was canceled. It was necessary; I understood. I can only recall two delays and each time, Spirit was very professional in handling the communication of those delays. As a travel, agent, owner, I understand there are going to be times when cancellations and delays are necessary. It’s how they are executed that makes the difference. Spirit executes remarkably well! Thank you!

Poor Computer System. Spirit has a ridiculous website for reservations. Ten out of ten times we have problems in booking our reservations. We have also used Chat and that was another ridiculous system. The Chat person walked away twice and our chatting was replaced with starting the chat all over. We even tried making our reservations on the computer. Then on my iPhone. No luck! Y’all are the worst as far as making reservations online. And then when we did get a Rep he couldn’t guarantee me the same rate I had. He told me to try again later.

Spirit is horrible will never fly again. They cancelled my direct flights between LAX to DTW and changed me to layover flights and did not adjust the price. Then they kept the large seat for 1 passenger and assigned 2nd to standard seating, even though we had already paid $100 extra for each oversized seat. Called customer service and the could not refund the seat fee, offered me a cheaper exit row seat but wouldn’t refund the difference. A supervisor got us on a different fight with the seats we’d paid for, then they changed flight again and moved me to standard seating again and no refund. Offered a $50 voucher to replace the $100 seat fee. Yeah, that’s fair…. NOT! Finally got refund at the gate. Got charged $2 for a cup of ice. Flight attendant on first flight was awesome, but other than her, I’ll never fly this airline again. If they could charge you for the air you breath they would.

Lost my $1200 iPad and Spirit found it and sent it to me!!!. I left my iPad pro in the seat of the plane and looked for it at home, work, and in my truck for months. Finally, I recalled that the last please l place I used it was on a return fight home. I called Spirit and they directed me to their list and found form. I completed the form and submitted it. A week later Spirit contacted me and told me they had located my iPad. This was literally 2 months after leaving it on the plane! I had already accepted that it was lost and gone forever. Thank you so much Spirit for being an honest company with employees that have integrity! I'll never forget this...
