Keeps getting better. Have used this app for 4-5 years for many travel experiences and find it very useful and flexible. I made some unfortunate organizational decisions early on which have made using this app a little more complicated than necessary (my fault), BUT I have learned how to use it effectively. I like recent improvements; runs more user-friendly now. For new projects/improvements to my database, I like to export one of more existing cvs files, patch/edit them to make major changes using Excel, and share using email to create new packing files. With this approach, anything is possible 😎😎

Saves time on all kinds of travel. My three favorite things about this app are the master catalog, the ability to assign bags, and the ability to create new lists from old ones. Together, those three features make it much faster to plan and pack for weddings, business trips, vacations and everything in between. I even use it for things that aren't technically "trips", like equipment and props lists for nearby photo shoots. Added bonus is that you have a checklist for when you're packing up to come home, too -- no more forgetting that small gadget or errant scarf.

Best app I’ve ever used. I’ve used this app for years and wouldn’t travel without it. Everything is there including reminders and alerts. I guess my favorite is the ease and convenience. Whenever I think of something I need to add, a few clicks and it’s on the list. No more ‘I gotta remember to bring’. If it something weird, it’s so easy to add to either the specific list or if I frequently add it, it goes into the Master Catalog. I recommend this app to anyone and everyone who travels. I’d give it 10 stars if I good.

Sigh. So close!. My wife and I do a fair amount of traveling, and in many different modes. We’re anal-retentive about our packing list, for years we’ve been cultivating a pretty powerful spreadsheet that can quickly set us up with lists for various types of trips. That said, there’s a bit of “jank” involved in using a spreadsheet for this purpose, especially on iOS devices, so I thought maybe an app might cover the same features in a more elegant manner. I got excited when I discovered Packing Pro, but after spending some time with it, I’m realizing that it’s failing to meet our requirements because it just doesn’t seem to be designed with multiple users in mind: - Every item can be assigned to ONE person, even though ~2/3 of our travel items are shared between us. - The fact that it can sync with an iCloud account but not be *shared* with another iOS user is just a non-starter for us, it’s too much effort and it isn’t great for us to wind up with totally separate representations of the same list. It’s a great app overall, I appreciate how evolved it is, but for now it just isn’t a spreadsheet replacement for us. :/

Best one out there. I’ve been using Packing Pro for several years, and every so often I do a search and download a new packing list program, just to see it there’s something new that is better…I always come back to Packing Pro, nothing else out there is a better tool than this one, nothing else is as polished or as effective. I’ll always look, but I have a pretty strong feeling that I’ll always keep coming back.

Amazingly deep checklist app. I am one of those anal-retentive list-making people that loves clicking off done-done-done as I complete tasks. This app is like a fantasy come true. As I leave the house and I check off “turn off lights” and “lock door” I tick off “iPad” and slide the device in my bag. This app is literally with me nonstop during my trip preparation process. I have totally customized every category, adding my own particular items, and have added a host of personalized categories. I love all the different sort options. I have several annual trips and I like that I can duplicate a past trip’s list without losing the old one. Going through old lists is like memory lane. I also appreciate that I can uncheck everything and tick off everything again as I repack in my hotel room or cruise ship cabin. I can also make notes on the fly, and can indicate if I didn’t need a particular item and can, on my next trip, decide if it’s really worth bringing. My husband tried it out and immediately deemed it “too fussy” but I say it’s awesome. If you’re a Type-A control freak like me you’ll love this app like I do.

Exceptionally useful!. I have used this app for two years, and it has helped me organize what I pack for every trip I take. It seems each trip has its own packing needs -- anniversary trips, Thanksgiving trips, camping trips, business trips, international pleasure trips. As new trips come up, I can copy and past what I packed for previous trips, which saves a ton of time and thought. I even use this app to help me be aware of all my clothes which are stored in several locations in our home. Lots of uses! Thank you!

This Is My Packing Brain. In normal times past (and to come), I travel 10s of 1000s of miles a year. Packing Pro has simplified the preparations beyond description. I keep separate lists for different kinds of trips (city vs country) and different climates (cold vs hot). For trips I make repeatedly that have very specialized needs (like my Dutch rail pass when I visit my son in the NL), I have saved myself endless forehead groans over forgetting to pack rarely needed things. Adding photos to general categories so I know exactly what I mean (e.g., WHICH brown pants) is another bonus. I find it easier to manipulate on my iPad than phone, and the synchronization seamless. On any platform, it is simply indispensable for me as a road warrior.

Great packing list!. I really like how flexible and customizable this app is. We used it on our recent Disney trip and only managed to forget packing one thing (cuff links) because I hadn’t added them to a list. I think this is the first time we went on a trip and only forgot one minor thing! I even got my husband to use it. The ability to add reminders is also very useful. The only thing missing that would make the app perfect is if it could sync in real time between devices for two users.

Great app!. I use this app for any list that I want to be able to re-use. Being able to check things off then un-check everything to start again is a big advantage. It is especially great for packing to travel. I go to my sister’s in a distant town at least once a month and I have found having a list makes my packing go much more quickly. I also don’t usually forget anything. The versatility and ease of adding, subtracting or changing my lists makes it a great asset! Highly recommend!!!

The best out there. I have been using this app for years. Camping, domestic and international travel, organized sporting events. Never have I forgotten something that I needed. Of course, there have been times that my list wasn’t complete, but that works itself out and now the lists are dialed in to perfection. My only hope is that the developer keeps going and doesn’t abandon the app. Thanks for making a very useful product.

STILL Lovin' this!!. Used it to organize pop-up camper and create a family camping list. Everything on list can be sorted by BAG or by PERSON. Will be huge benefit for many trips this summer. Since this initial review have used this app on almost a dozen trips over the past couple years. Wouldn't be without it. Allows for much customization and provides excellent suggestions on basic template. EDIT: Years have passed. I’ve used this app more than a dozen times and rely on it. Trips have included sudden visits with loved ones in out-of-state hospitals and many short local weekend tourist excursions. . So even with COVID blocking vacation travel, this app has proved to be very useful.

Useful. Ugly. Arrogant?. This app can be useful, but it’s aesthetically challenged to the point of distraction. What’s worse, the developer has been completely unresponsive to polite suggestions on how it could easily be improved. Example (one among many): A million years ago, it seems, it was pointed out that the home-brewed color-picker the app uses is effectively useless, and that incorporating one that conforms to Apple’s design guidelines would be a huge improvement. The developer gave some lame excuse about being too busy, and that besides, arrogantly, that the picker in the app was fine. It wasn’t, and still isn’t. It’s a clumsy mess. People do get busy, but that was many years ago, and pre-pandemic, by far: there’s been plenty of time to just look up the guidelines and make a simple refinement. Looking at the app today, I see it’s the same as it was when it was first released. No effort. Embarrassing.

Excellent app for the frequent traveller. I travel alot both for work and pleasure. And, being single and having no one else to help me remember, i need to make lists for my trips. Before this app ever came out I made packing lists and "to do" lists before and after the trip. I was ecstatic to find this app that already thought like I thought. I have been able to use this app immediately only adding very little to the already extensive built in items lists to choose from. This is a fantastic app and truly worth every penny. I never travel now without having used this app in preparation.

Using for years. Love love this app. It is so easy to pack for a trip and then clear the list for the next time. I never forget anything. I have multiple lists. One for every trip. Then a list for what gets added for a winter trip and a separate list for summer. One for what I need to bring for a medical procedure that I go to every other month. And two lists of what is in miscellaneous storage boxes so I can find stuff. I just introduced the app to another friend. Everyone should have it! Totally worth the small purchase. Try it now!

This App Saves Time & Missed Items. I’ve been using this app for many years and it continues to prove its value. Used properly, this packing application will save you time and the inconvenience of forgetting items you need while traveling. After you build your master list, it’s easy to add items for a particular trip and adjust quantities based on the trip’s length. Further, you can add new items you may want to include in future trips. For example, I bought an image stabilizer for my iPhone. So, I added that item to my master list and included it for my next vacation trip. Once you’ve built your master list, packing for every future trip will be much easier. Frankly, this app might actually be more useful for infrequent travelers because they’re less used to packing. Overall, I find this to be one of the more useful apps on my iPad and iPhone.

Not useful.. Overly complicated and specific. Not well thought out. The two things I have forgotten the most often on my travels (over a 100,000 miles/year) are not among the hundreds of items on any of the lists: 2) a dress belt and 2) to notify my credit cards I was leaving the country. I suppose you could add them as separate, unique items but I would’ve thought that these two very common items would’ve already been available. You can’t just add socks: you have to pick from among nine different kinds of socks. If you try and add socks as a separate item, you’re simply told socks is already an available category and you have to pick from it.

Incredible for musicians or A/V pros. The uses for this app go beyond travel - as a musician, I use this as a checklist for rehearsals, gigs and trips where I have to transport my home studio. The amount of stress it relieves/prevents is indescribable. Yes, it can take some time to set up templates, but you’ll save so much time forever after. “Where are my pliers?” You can search for an item on location, and the app will tell you what bag it’s in. Bonus for being a rare app in 2018 that lets the user fully skin the interface. So powerful. Probably needs a more modern icon, looks a little outdated. That’s about as much as I can complain about. Can’t live without it.

Keeps Getting Better. 5+ years ago I decided to give this app a try. It was clunky, limited and difficult to understand and use. Since then, the developers have done nothing but improve it with user-friendly tools and navigation. You can use it well at its most basic level or dig deeper and use the many available planning tools. I’ve used it for 14 trips which varied from quick backpacking weekends to running events to overseas travel.

Go-To Packing List. I’ve used this list several years! I mostly customize my items versus the default categories which is easy to do. It also allows for separate lists for each family member which I use, too. The backup feature is easy to use and works great. A recommendation I have is to add the ability for it to call up options already in the system when I start typing an item I’m adding to a list. Thanks!

Very useful app!. I have been using this app for several years to plan our family vacations and have found it to be invaluable in making sure that we have everything we need while on vacation. The app is very user-friendly. The only improvement I would recommend would be to be able to message the packing list to another member of my family so that they could check off their own items. Unfortunately, I purchased the app prior to Apple implementing family sharing, so my family members are not able to see or edit my packing lists.

Exactly what I needed. It took a little getting used to, but once I understood the difference between adding items to a master list and then to an individual list it went from a chore to brilliantly easy. I spent sometime reorganizing Lists to work best for me. I love how easy they made it to move items to new or different categories. Now when I get an idea of something to get for camping, hiking, the beach, etc I just add it to the master list, then to my trip list and mark it as something I need to purchase at a later date. Before my next trip I’ve got my reminder right there to purchase anything I don’t have or ran out of. Love it! Great job! Thank you. Tried many other apps but they just didn’t understand what is needed in a packing app and they were worthless list apps.

Don’t know what I’d do without it. I found this app when I went to Turkey in 2013 and I’ve been using it ever since! You can create different lists, add or edit, make categories etc that make packing sooooo much easier. My favorite part that you can duplicate old lists as a starting point for new ones so you aren’t starting from scratch. I’m getting ready to go to India so I’ve already made my list off of older trips and now I just have to make adjustments and start packing.

An Excellent Travel Companion. I really appreciate this app. To make the best use of it, take the time to create a comprehensive Master List. And, as time goes on, add items and tasks that come to mind. Once your Master List is fairly complete, you’ll never forget anything when you travel. Before a trip, I leisurely look through my Master List, which I’ve divided into convenient categories, and just pick out the items I’ll need. Then, when it comes to packing, I just consult the trip list and check off the items as I go along. The key, again, is to make your Master List very complete and updated as time goes on. I’m a very organized person and this application really helps make packing quite easy.

Great Packing-list App!. This packing list software is fabulous! It seems to have everything you could want in a packing list program and more. I have used it for many years now and at least half a dozen trips, and it is invaluable to me. Like many folks, I can usually think of ways to improve a given app, but in this case I can't come up with any ideas that aren't already included! The packing lists can be compartmentalized as you see fit. You can have a clothing list, a computer – electronics list, and any other type of list you want, and you can combine them into one large list. You can even create a to-do list and incorporate it into your master list. Every list can be modified to suit your particular trip, and all lists can be reused and reworked as many times as you need. You can create your own master packing list if you want, but this program provides wonderful master lists that you can use and modify to suit your needs. It almost seems like five stars are not enough for this app! If you do much traveling, you can't go wrong with this app.

Great app with one missing feature. I love the powerful feature set of this aapp. After trying six different packing apps I’ve yet to find one that comes close to being as useful as this one. The one feature that I wish this app had is live per-item cross-iCloud account syncing, similar to the default Reminders app. I pack for trips with my wife and it would be great if we could both have this app open on our phones and check things off as we go. We are able to do this in the iOS reminders app which we use for grocery shopping, and it is a super handy feature. As things stand now, we need to basically do all the editing from a single phone at a time because the iCloud feature is single account only. But again! Love the app and can’t wait to see what cool features come next. Many thanks to the developer!

Keeping organized despite being super busy. I love this app. I love the flexibility to add a variety of items to my lists and organize them into groups. I can add an item just to my trip list or add an item to the master list if it is something I am going to need regularly. I also love the ability to add notes to each item if I want to clarify something specific for this specific trip (ex. Listing the specific sandals that I will take on the trip). When planning for my trip and I suddenly remember something to add, I can easily add it instead of forgetting when I get home to add to the packing pile or paper list. It is also great at identifying what I need to buy - either because I am out of something or need something special for the trip.

Better than paper. I have been using this app for several years. We take an annual vacation and usually pack the same items. I can copy last year’s list as a starting point. I like the ability to assign a bag to a person, create custom colored icons and move items between categories for what makes sense to me. With cloud sharing, I can pack suitcases in one room and my husband can pack coolers in another with the same list. The ability to globally uncheck a list makes packing for the return trip much easier. I can be sure we come back with everything and it all ends up in the same bags.

Really Good App, 1 gripe.... So far, so good! I just started using this app to manage our camp packing, as it’s very complicated and organization is key! I like to organize my “lists” based on the Bag they’ll be packed in, and this app doesn’t do a good job of making that easy. I have to manually assign each item in a list to a bag-a mass bag edit feature would be amazing! Also, it would be awesome if you could tier the packing list, IE if I check everything off for my Duffel bag pack, it’s added to my truck pack list as “ready”. However I easily found a workaround and this feature is probably only helpful for campers that are packing their rigs, in addition to packing their bags. But definitely a great app, and worth the $3.

Wouldn’t travel without it!. I never forget anything with this app. Usually I update an old list from a similar trip for an upcoming trip. But if I m taking an unusual or new type trip I start ahead of time to create the lit from the category lists. I have edited them over time to delete things I would never use and added my things. Then while planning the trip, i add things I want to take, but would probably forget when I actually pack. It makes the whole process efficient. LOVE IT😀

Use this for every trip!. I travel a lot for my work both in country and internationally. It is frustrating and unproductive to go on a trip and leave something important behind. I really appreciate this app and use it before every trip to make sure that there is nothing that I have forgotten. I also appreciate the way the app is kept up to date with little improvements. I’ve been using Packing Pro for over 7 years!. This is a very simple but detailed packing helper for being sure that you remember everything for your trip. Like many old people I have CRS and need a little help when I am packing or preparing for travel. I also use it for other instances like keeping all of the items necessary for a project. I would love to see a new and updated video on features and tips. I would buy it again in a heartbeat and since it has Family Sharing, my wife has it on her phone as well.

The most comprehensive and useful packing list. This is without a doubt the most useful packing list I've found. I downloaded probably a dozen packing lists, and while the interface could use a bit of UX love, this is the most capable and functional packing app I've used. I've had this app for many many years. I enjoy it so much that I haven't bothered looking for any alternatives since my initial search for a packing app.

Saves camping trips!. We have been using this app for several years. Every time you go camping you tend to need a lot of the same things but they get used for other sports, or events during the year. This helps us not forget simple things that are easy to leave at home! It also helps us get organized before we go on our trip,and the cleanup when we get home. I also travel for work and this helps me pack. Once I got called away and my husband had to pack for me, he use the list and got it perfectly right!

Sanity Saver. I travel professionally for business. I always used some sort of list program. To not would be insanity because you could actually have everything and you wouldn't know it. This program gives peace of mind. Of all the programs I've used for travel Packing Pro is by far the most sophisticated, complete, yet simple to use. I've been using it for 4 years now and though it started out 5 star great, the author still keeps making it better. And speaking as a professional speaker who also teaches organization and time management I highly recommend it.

Great App - indispensable for efficient travel.. I have use the app since shortly after it first came out and utilize it's ever expanding features with every trip I take being able to recall previous trips makes it easy to create new trips. It's the little things sometimes get overlooked during last minute packing that this app provides a memory jogger and has saved much time and expense on items that were not packed as well as realizing items that were packed that we're not used. Most highly recommended

Frequent traveler relies on this app. I travel several times per year and this app is an essential part of my planning & preparation process. With it, I've made dozens of lists over the years and because of that, i have never forgotten anything needed on a trip. It's great because it offers quick organization that you can expand into more detailed organization, if you choose. I've also emailed the dev a few and have found them to be responsive, informative, & immensely helpful. Overall, one of my top apps!

Must have app if you travel even just a little. I've been using this app for several years and it just keeps getting better. Easy to set up a simple list or extensive categories of items. Copy lists, integrate partial lists into other lists, and multiple back up options My last category is named "things that I want to bring next time" and I fill it with items while on the trip. So my trips keep getting better also.

Best packing app I've used. I've gone through several dedicated packing apps and also used more general apps. This is by far the easiest and most powerful one I've ever used. What is really telling for me is that I can go a few months without using it, then open it back up and have the interface make sense. I love the flexibility to make smaller sub-lists that I can piece together for a particular trip. I have ones for my base list, if I'm going to be doing outdoor activities, if I need to dress up, if I'm going to do serious photography, etc. It makes putting a rough list together for a particular trip really easy.

Does Everything!!. It took me a while to actually learn how to use this properly, but now that I’ve been using Packing Pro for three years, I think it does an excellent job of assuring me that I have everything I need for a trip. I’ve created two templates for domestic and overseas trips, and after that its just a matter of where I’m going and when. Before this I would pack for a trip, and then wonder if I packed “X”, so I unpack to see and then pack all over again - sometimes multiple times! Now I just check off the boxes as I pack and it’s done! So much easier and less stressful! And when you’re trying to make your flight and pick-up arrangements, and hotels, and meetings schedule, anything that makes your travel less stressful is much appreciated.

I LOVE THIS APP!. This is a the best ever travel packing app in the world. I travel overseas several times a year, take a cruise or two each year as well. This app is great for all that, as you can start with their master list, then customize it to meet your own needs. As an example, I have Scandinavia list (cold gear), Caribbean cruise (hot & humid), Europe spring list and fall list etc. Makes my packing so much easier as well as reduces my OCD worry that I brought what I was going to need. I needed a backup recently and Quinn in their CustomerService department really helped out as well. Great product, extremely under priced for the value it provides. Go for it, you’ll love it. It’s good, could use a couple improvements. You’re not going to find a better packing app. Maybe some are more slick with the UI but fun functionally this beats them hands down. I’d like a couple extra things to make this 5/5: I don’t want the filter to pop up in my face every time I open a list. I just want to be shown the list with the settings I already chose for the filter in the main settings. Also an ability to archive old lists would be good. Anyway it’s a great app and thanks for keeping it supported for so long.

Probably the most useful app on my phone. I got Packing Pro about five years ago because I kept forgetting things when packing for trips and paper lists weren’t always that useful. Once you master creating a personal list or modifying a sytem list, you can save it as a personal master list and use it over and over. I have one for long trips overseas, medium trips in the US, and long weekend trips. I can simply start with one of my standard lists and tweak it for different circumstances or weather. Really works as well as the reviews would suggest.

Extremely useful; flexible and customizable. I’ve used this app for several years now, after frustration with always forgetting at least one important item on my trips. The master list can be customized to include items important to you, and from there each trip list can also be individualized. Once you have a few lists for different kinds of trips (weekend, winter vacation, summer vacation, etc.) you can add lists based on lists for similar trips that you’ve already created, so you don’t have to start from scratch for each trip. I haven’t gone on a trip *without* creating a list in PackingPro in years, and I rarely forget to bring something I need on the trip.

Overly complicated. Nobody wants to read the instructions when it comes to an app for packing! They just want it to be intuitive and straightforward. This is neither and after 45 mins of trying to build a list for an overseas trip I gave up. There may be others who have a lot more patience than I do but they shouldn’t have to. This is an app with options for building a packing list, yet it forgets that consumers are not impressed with all the possibilities that come at the expense of complicating the basics. And the design aesthetics are also unwieldy. Do yourself a favor and unless you’re desperate for something to do avoid this mess of an app.

Don’t leave home without this app!. Been using this for every trip we’ve taken for nearly 5 years. Always works great, does everything I need, and was sooo easy to learn and set up with custom lists. This is hands down my favorite app - of any kind. Well worth the minimal cost and time to transform yourself into a travel pro! Best way to eliminate the panic and oops moments, and let you (and your family) travel in comfort and peace. To the developers: Thanks for creating this wonderful tool, for the many enhancements and for the consistent, exceptional reliability!

Consistently Good App. I’ve been using Packing Pro since before all the zillion travel web sites & list suggestions came out. I have my lists for different types of travel (weekend, car trip, international, etc) & it has worked well all the way. Most importantly to me, the developers make changes sparingly to add improvements & take advantage of new tech without destroying the interface so you don’t have to learn it all over again! Love it!. I have been using this app for several years. We travel a lot (road trips, day trips, by plane, cruises...). I have made all the lists and am able to tweak over time. It is so convenient. Adventure comes up, I pull up the appropriate list and completely prepared. No forgetting stuff or reinventing lists each time. I love how it syncs from one device to the next. So, I can work from my iPad or iPhone, whichever is handy. Completely recommend this app. It would not surprise me if this app was beneficial to those who struggle with ADHD, OCD, anxiety or need for control.

Terrific app. I’ve used Packing Pro for years now and have really come to depend on it. To me, it’s the perfect balance of customizable and yet simple to use. You can really make it do whatever you’d like — they have their own comprehensive catalog but you can also set up your own or copy from trip to trip. That’s something I do often to give myself a head start. I’ve not had any crashes or problems over the years. I highly recommend it.

Can I give more than 5 stars??. My husband & I just bought a pop up camper and r planning a trip out West. I downloaded this app expecting it to b like all travel apps-only half useful!! I don’t write a lot of reviews only when I feel strongly about the app and I certainly don’t recommend apps to people but this app is different. I have to say this is the best app EVER!!! I have already told two people about it and I have had it less than 12 hrs. I can’t wait to travel. Now that I have this app I NEED to travel. If u r a list maker (like myself) and like to travel do ur self a favor and download this app

Awesome app for travellers.. I’ve used this app for my last two overseas trips and am using it to prepare for the next one. It’s easy to create customised lists, even with added weights of individual items, and I can edit my lists on the fly. With the list on my iPad, pre-flight packing is a breeze and I no longer forget anything. I highly recommend this software! Very Good.. It really is very good, functionality-wise it does almost everything I want it to. Design-wise the choices of themes all look extremely amateur. The app could do with a makeover by a graphic designer. The only functionality flaw I have found is the inability to ascribe weight values to the actual bag or suitcase and not just the items being packed within. This would be nice as the bag does add to the overall weight, and as a hiker every last bit counts.

Very useful! Takes the thinking out of Packing. Super useful app for packing. It takes the thinking out of everything you need to do, before you go. Even organizing your mail! If you tend to overpack like I do, this will be your friend.

So organised. We travel a lot as a family. We are 5 so not the standard for the format of this app. I love it but I would like to be able to airdrop list to my family members with all of the edits I have put in like names and icons. Great app. Not as good to share.

Very good. It doesn't do everything the others do, but it does the basics better than any other app. Great library of items too.

Near perfect. Easy to use and helps not only packing when you leave but also for checking you have everything as you travel. I'd like some small improvements: * It's a little slow when scrolling * I'd like to push a part of my packing list into a laundry list for checking everything is returned Overall it's worth paying for.

This is Absolutely Awesome!!. I hate travelling for one reason! I always forget multiple items!! Then I have to go and waste more time & money buying new stuff. And when I get back home I’ve got multiple of the same items coming out my ears! So the night before I was sick & tired, trying to remembering everything for my 3 week trip. So I decided to browse through the App Store downloading and trying out heaps of different App’s until I found this little little beauty!! And WoW it’s worth every cent to get “PACKING PRO” I went away for 3 weeks Carrying 20kg of clothes, presents etc in my suitcase and 7kg in my backpack with my wallet, electronics and chargers etc. I had everything but the kitchen sink! ;) Truly! I couldn’t fit another thing in my bag, as they were spot on the 20kg & 7kg limit that the Airlines Allow! It was the first time I could totally relax walking out my door, knowing I forgot nothing! And for me that’s saying something! This App’s not Hard or Complicated but it does take a little setting up. So don’t leave it till 10pm to start looking around for an App when your already tired, and supposed to be at the airport at 9am. And it’s also great on your return trip, so you leave nothing behind! Just buy this App! You won’t be disappointed!! I will never travel again with out “Packing Pro” Thank you to the developers!

Simply Great. As a Grey Nomad this app has been invaluable to me for years. I can be sure I have everything I need and use whilst away on caravan trips. Also travelling to the UK every couple of years a list for that is essential. Being able to keep your seperate lists for separate trips makes life so much easier. I love the way you can check everything is a safely off and secure in the house before leaving it. I haven't yet found anything I can't add to a list. I've had this for years and love it. Simply put... No complaints whatsoever :o)

One of my go to apps. I wish I had more time to use all the features of this app. But what I do use is fantastic. Whether you are super organised or need some assistance you will love this app. Such a time saver. Love the sharing feature which I use with family and friends if we’re travelling together. One of my go to apps.

My second brain. I travel a lot, and you would think I always remember what I need to take. I wish! Packing Pro is my second brain and is part of my travel ritual. I’ve honed my lists and now have one for big overseas work trips and short business travel. It takes out the guesswork resulting in a happier and more productive journey.

Won't upload. New version won't upload on my iPad 3 I did like like the old version though.

Love it. Enjoyed making my packing lists. I like having a lot of options already there so i dont have to type them. And its also useful for suggesting things that i wouldn't have thought to prepare.I use this for other to do lists as well, not just travel related. Really don't like the themes and background textures, and the colourwheel is very hard to use.

Don't bother.. Save your money. I have not found this app to be user friendly at all. Great concept, but it has too many issues at this stage. I emailed the developers a week ago expressing these concerns and I've yet to receive a reply.

Very functional and useful. This is a nice app to use. The master catalogue already has most things needed but its also very easy to add your own items or just modify existing ones to suit yourself. I like the way you can categorise items and highlight what you need to buy then view as a shopping list.

Saves time, money & frustration. This app is great for anyone who leaves home. I use it for regular business trips, weekend sports and vacation trips. It saves you having to think what you need for regular items and leaves your mind free to focus on what extra items might be required this time. It saves you from the frustration, and expenses of having to source new shoes or a belt at 6:30am before your first meeting!!

Excellent App. I've tried a few packing apps & this one is fantastic, does everything I need and love the fact that the notes are included when sending via email, only app so far that I've found that does this. Plus great response from the developer always responds to my emails and included a suggestion I had in the next version

I love this!. Great app. Easily customizable. Very user friendly. Highly recommended. Yep, you may have to put in some work but it's worth it. It's highly customizable too - I actually add my clothes to the master list by type, brand and colour which I find helpful when planning outfits for trips. The added bonus for this is that when qantas loses your bag you can tell them, and your insurance company exactly what it is you've lost, and the cost. Hey Quinn, would you consider adding the ability to use photos?

Still so so. The problem with this app isn't that its intentions are good. It sets out to be a truly comprehensive packing app, and buried in there is just about everything you could want to pack, and a complete system for doing so. The problem with it is that the basic user interface design is cumbersome and confusing, quite ugly to look at, and overly complex to learn, as demonstrated by the LONG help section. This makes it quite frustrating to use. There's a really GREAT app waiting to get out here, but it's not there yet. I've looked at just about every list or packing list out there and haven't found one that really does it in a simple, intuitive way. And to me 'intuitive' is key to just about all great apps and software - a little bit of education about the way it approaches things, and you're away. If I was going on a major trip and could be bothered setting all of this up, it would be truly useful. But for regular use it's just too byzantine. Please IMPROVE and I'll be back here praising it to the skies: get a good graphic designer, simplify the interface dramatically, offer web backup (would be ideal...). I should add I'm not saying to anyone else to avoid it - it is useful; just be prepared to put in a fair bit of work and put up with a bit of frustration along the way.

Too Bloated. Hammerz hit the nail on the head.... I spent half an hour just editing the lists, the 3 stage master list is annoying, who needs menu after sub menu after sub menu simply to find clothes? I just want a simple app that i can fly through! So even though this app is very flexible it is simply too bloated and cubersome to use quickly. I recommend "Packing List" as a faster, cleaner, cheaper alternative that you can fly through. My motto is if it's quicker to use pen and paper then the app is useless. Apps like Shopper and Packing List are faster than paper, so that's the bench mark.

Incredible app for musicians. I have never written a review for an app before but felt compelled to say how happy I’ve been with Packing Pro. I easily customised it and it’s now a perfect tool for picking and packing equipment for gigs. Way better than FileMaker Pro which we used for years until it became ridiculously expensive.

Useful App. I use this App every time I travel. Removes the stress of forgetting something essential.

It works!. I've tried most of the apps that purport to make the process of packing easier. Most of them simply don't. PackingPro is the only one that fulfills that promise. This is a serious and well thought through app that has enormous capacity for customising, especially (in my case) for complex equipment packs for media work. And it's an idea that seems to be evolving at a pace that shows real commitment from the developer. Love it!

Great! Better than my memory!. The app is relatively easy when you get used to it. Easy to add items you want to keep in the catalog & delete the ones you don't want. Can re-use past trips which makes it faster for future trip planning. Currently using it for a 4 week trip which is more complex & I a feel more confident about the trip knowing I will have remembered to pack everything I need. Even though the trip is still a few months away, it's handy having the pre-trip items to remind me to get vaccinations, organize passport etc.

Great app. Very useful app, especially when finalizing last minute packing. Once you take the time to prepare your first couple of lists, preparing for future trips is quite simple.

Simple or complicated your choice, it suits everyone. As a frequent traveller to many locations with varied climates, I was forever modifying template lists. The master lists (time consuming to set up, but worth it) save so much time overall. Plus if you are packing a RV or Van the adding weight of the individual items helps you know wither you are in legal GVM ETC. limits or not before you even start to pack. Extremely helpful. The developers response to questions was rapid and on point. An app that delivers what it says.

Not working. The expert help doesn't work besides the number of people. Please fix in the next update thanks.

What a GREAT app! Well designed and easy to use!!!. I have been using Packing Pro for over a year now and have so far saved four specific packing lists. For example, I have one list specifically for CAMPING. I have another one for a DRIVING/KAYAKING VACATION. I have another one for an AIR TRAVEL VACATION. You only need to make the list once, then you can re-use the same list many times. After using any of the lists and I've returned home, I always review the list in my head to see if their was anything that I should add to the list to improve it---if so, I go ahead and tweak the list so that it will be better than ever next time I use it. I'm to the point now where, if I follow the list I never "forget" anything. At one point, early on, I did have a question and the Developer quickly responded to my email with helpful support. I love this App just the way it is, but no matter how good I think it is already, the Developer keeps offering improvement updates. Love it!!!

Great customizable app. I love that you can modify the lists and categories according to needs. I regularly move to various countries, medium or long term and can customize the nonstandard items I need which tradditional apps wouldnt consider. Easy to use.

Love this app. I travel a lot for work and pleasure and am very anal when it comes to packing. This app keeps me organized and sane, and gets rid of that "did I forget something important?!" Panic when you're walking out the door.

Very useful. I like it because I can use it for reference for future travels. It is very complete and I added few things. Well done and very easy to use. I will also use it for checking if I really brought an item instead of searching in every bag and luggage. Would lbe useful if it could take into account that you can travel in different climates during the same trip, but it is not a big deal : made two different clothing lists for Paris and Istanbul. I also added a category : things to buy before leaving. I will print it so that I won't have to do all the shopping in the same day.

Packing Pro. I found this app to be very comprehensive and listed things I didn't know I needed. I like that you can easily adapt one packing list to meet your specific travel needs. The only thing I would like to see is a desktop application. Keep up the good work.

Essential App for Travellers. I have been using this app for many years an have found it indispensable. I frequently find that I have to pack on short notice so the list I have generated ensure that I don’t forget something really important. Th built in lists provide a category for pre-trip planning that is also very useful to ensure that I have done the things I need to do fo my upcoming trip. A key feature of this app is its flexibility. You can add categories and items easily so your packing lists reflect your requirements.

"THE BEST" out there.. Great App, I've been using for years. You don't have to pay monthly, it's easy to use, you can add photographs, easily the best app out there (and I tried many, many others). This app has been my go to for years. While this app can be a little complicated for first time users it is very flexible and covers all my needs. I have multiple lists that I tweak as needed. If I’m on a trip and I realize I should have x. I just go in and add it for next time. The other thing I love is the lack of subscription. It has a tip jar and I make sure I contribute. The developer seems to update regularly.

Fantastic App. I’ve been using the Packing Pro app for many years now. It’s so easy to start a new packing list from one of my saved lists. I include things on my list that we need to do at home before leaving home like set a timer on a lamp. I always check the app before we leave home.

Great app. Just downloaded and used the app for the first time. It was a complicated trip with multiple family members and several types of events. The app is brilliant and I felt VERY well prepared. The caveat is that I invested a lot of time up front to create my master catalogue. I love how completely I can customize the app, and I expect to reap the benefits of my time investment with every trip from now on, but you have to know that it was work. The app was reasonably intuitive to learn.

Wonderful help for frequent and infrequent travellers alike. I travel a fair bit. It's short and longer term stays. Because I can set up 'standing' lists it shortens my prep time immensely.

Used it for years. I’m a scuba instructor and travel lots. I don’t lose things or take anything I don’t need. Using it has helped me keep track of what i need and what i don’t . Great tool saves me baggage fees.

Great App for any Kind of Travel. I have been using this app for years, and find it extremely useful for any length of travel. Previous lists can be duplicated and modified, serving as a reminder for items you need to bring or tasks you need to carry out for specific types of trips. I have even started to include post travel reminders. Love it!

Why is it so difficult to copy a list?. I would give this app 5* if it wasn’t so difficult to figure out how to copy a list. It’s easy to delete etc. on the home page but why make it so hard to figure out how to copy?

Helps keep panic to a minimum!. I work for an airline so I do a LOT of travelling. This app has made the day before so much less stressful. No more “did I pack everything? Have I forgotten anything? Dammit! I have no underwear!!!!” Love this app ❤️

Good app overall, sync needs work. I like the app in general, but the iCloud sync needs work. I frequently start a list on my iPad, then switch to my iPhone for the last few items (after I've packed my tablet). Frequently, items I have checked off on my iPad remain unchecked on the iPhone. After I bring up the list on my iPhone, with the incorrectly unchecked items displayed, if I go back to my iPad, those items are now unchecked there also! It's not clear what triggers a device to sync the list back to iCloud; apparently it doesn't always do that.

A long-time favorite. I have used this app for years and still love it - something I can say for only a handful of apps! It has more features than I use - I can see the benefit of the full drawer of tools - it as a user who only uses the basics, it still works great and the things I do not use do not get in the way. Highly recommend.

A great help when traveling for business or camping and everything in between. I’ve been using this app for years and it has been invaluable when preparing for any kind of trip. I’ve made templates for cold weather trips, beach trips, mission trips to the third world, and camping or kayak trips. It helps relieve some of the stress and anxiety of packing. It’s been faithfully updated and I highly recommend it. -Doug

Invaluable. This little brown suitcase is packed full of helpful stuff! I don't travel often but when I do—this quiet app is waiting to make it all go so much smoother. If I used it more often I would get better at remembering how to do things with it. As it is, partly because of my shaky memory (a great reason to get and use this app!) and partly because of how much this app offers, I find it a tiny bit difficult to use. That's the only reason I didn't give Packing Pro 5-stars.

iPad Pro usability could be improved. This is a great app overall, but could be made much better by adding keyboard controls for the iPad. It would be much faster to navigate, add and subtract list items on the external keyboard rather than the touch screen. Also, for some reason the split screen multi-tasking does not work with this app.

Great App!. This is a great app. Use it for all of your trips. Much easier then the printed out copy I used to used. Easy to add items and has a bunch of items already in the program. I've used a couple of other programs and this is the only one worth it's cost. You will not be disappointed.

Camping Trip Savior!. With over 280 items in my packing list for every camping trip I don’t know how I would manage without Packing Pro! The ability to create categories breaks the list into parts I can actually digest and not become overwhelmed before I throw in the towel and don’t want to go camping. This is a must have for frequent travelers.

Not intuitive for families. I know I’m not a patent person, but it seems to me that it shouldn’t take me more than a few minutes to figure out a packing app. It seems like it would work fine if it were just me, but there are 5 members of my family and I wanted a list for each. I also wanted to separate carryon and checked lists. There are categories for all these things but I can’t figure out how to utilize them in any meaningful, useful, way. If you are looking for an intuitive app for your whole family, this isn’t it.

Great tool. I love this app. I have used it for years and it keeps me organized. I use it for the list of things that go into my suitcase and the tasks that I need to do to get ready for the trip. It’s so easy to customize by trip or by type of trip and the master list that comes with it is one of the most extensive I’ve seen.

Good tool with a bit of a learning curve. Been using this a couple of years now, and still find myself having to relearn some of the Ins and outs of it each time I use it. However, it’s been incredibly useful, and once you get the hang of it, making and using new lists is really fast and easy.

Only thing I use. I’ve looked at all the packing/travel apps and this does the best for organizing my trips and packing my bag (well it doesn’t actually put my clothes in my bag). You can make your own templates for the types of trips you take, schedule the things you have to do and buy and then check them off as they get done. Fast and easy.

Couldn’t live without it. This app is great. It makes packing for trips in my Sportsmobile so easy. Everything I need to remember to pack, or remember to do, is right at my fingertips. I can mark items as being packed easily right when I’m doing the work, and it’s easy to see what I have left to do. For different trips, I just start a different trip and use it just as easily.

Changed my life. That’s only a slight exaggeration. I used to hate packing. I’m not a detail person, so having to think and worry about forgetting something every time I went on a trip was really energy-sapping. Since I got this app, I just click on one of three lists I’ve created (short business trip, longer business trip, vacation) and then follow the checklist. I love it!!

So much more than a Packing App. This app is amazing and Quinn is very open to suggested changes for improvement. I use it for home inventories, keeping track of items for a move (what to keep or discard), backpacking trips and gear, and an elaborate grocery shopping list. There is so much built in flexibility and ease of back up. It is one of the most well designed apps I’ve used (and I have about 200 apps on my phone).

Years….. If you like lists and make lists of lists, this is the list of all lists. I have been using it for years and seen many other apps. None that I have found beats the simplicity and features of this one. You typically have to choose - easy to use but without features, or full of features but tough to use. No more! Do it.

Awesome packing app. I’ve been using this for years. It has everything you could want in a packing app. Makes everything so much easier/more efficient when planning for a trip. I love that you can easily make new lists from existing lists, so you don’t have to start from scratch. There are tons of those little helps in this app that make it very easy/efficient to use!

Update fixed display problem - best packing app I’ve used. Great app, although today’s update has stopped all rows and columns being visible on the IPad screen, so app is now unusable. Update: Quick response from the developer fixed the display issue on my iPad Pro and everything now working again as before. Wonderful app - use it on every trip I take.

Won’t leave home without it!!. I can’t imaging traveling without using this app to prepare! The interface is simple and clean, yet VERY customizable! I’ve created lists for things like work trip, beach vacation, skiing trip, international travel, and son’s sporting tournaments, and I love knowing the only thing I’ve left behind is the nagging feeling that I’ve forgotten something!

I went through a bit of a learning curve to make it really work for me but once I've set it up the way it works for me, it's very easy from there. One star off for the visual style. It looks like an "old", non-modern app. Would like better color palette choices, fonts, etc.

Great app!. I have been using this app for I don’t know how many years. I believe it was one of the first apps I ever bought. The developer made a great app from the start and has kept it well updated through the years. Seriously, I use this app every time I travel and it has helped me remember everything I need, every time. Thinking back it’s been at least 7-8 years! I still love this app!

Excellent Travel Tool. I travel often for work and leisure and use Packing Pro every time. I’ve had it for a long time and find it indispensable for both domestic and foreign trips. I’m a forgetful person, so being able to rely on previous lists as well as the app’s database has helped me tremendously. Highly recommend!

Must Have!!. I’ve been using this app for several years and it just keeps getting better and better. Makes packing for your self and more so a family, so less stressful. If you own a suitcase, this is a must have lol.

Amazing app. I love this app. I have traveled for business for decades. A few years ago, I converted from my own elaborate spreadsheet I used from the 90's (actually printed off for each trip). This app covers everything. I've got lists for car travel, vacation, business, and for my husband. Fabulous app that keeps improving and evolving.

My favorite packing app. I’d tried half a dozen packing and general list apps before I found this one, and I’m so glad I did. It’s absolutely my go-to now. I like how customizable it is. I can add categories and items easily, move them up and down, use one list to start another, and even set up reminders. You can even copy lists from one family member to another.

A Great Travel Tool. As I age I find lists to be very helpful while preparing for a trip. Packing Pro fulfill my wants and needs. I can clone previous lists, reuse an existing list, or use the provided templates. As I prepare for two upcoming trips it is easy to go and copy between them. It is especially convenient that I can go between my Apple devices using iCloud for auto syncing.

Great app. I’ve been using it for EIGHT years! I like that you can customize lists or base a new list on a previous one. We used to go to the same place a couple times a year, and could start with a prior list for a similar time of year and just tweak it. Saves so much time.

Necessary!. This app is, as the kids say, The Bomb! As us over the hill crowd will testify, you HAVE to make a list for EVERYTHING! This app is just what my brain ordered! I love being able to add whatever I need to remember and delete items I don't need such as baby items. There is a learning curve, but don't let that scare you as this is as necessary as a suitcase if you ever forget anything!

Handy. I just started using this for my last 2 trips. It took awhile to get my old packing lists sorted and loaded the way I wanted them. The ap has a few more bells and whistles than I need. I would like to be able to name my own categories. None the less, it is working well and I plan to continue using this ap instead of printing a new list every time I go somewhere.

Indispensable app. I have been using this app for years. Some lists I have: car travel, plane travel, motorcycle travel, shooting range, crabbing, sporting events… One of the best things that this app lets me do… if I think of something new while I’m traveling I just add it. I never forget this item again.

Reliable and great time-saver. I’ve used this app for years and it’s so helpful. Especially after not traveling for a couple of years, I’ve become an amateur at packing. This app has helped enormously in reminding me what to bring, whether internationally or just a domestic trip.

The most useful app on my phone. UPDATE: The issue has been resolved. Thanks for your quick response and attention—this is back to being my favorite app! Packing would take much longer—and I would forget half of everything—without this app. This was one of my favorite apps until about a month ago. Now every time I open it I get an endless series of messages with “ForceQuit Error #01,” which makes it impossible to use.

Great travel aid. I have used this app for years and it just keeps getting better. Love this app & can't ask for better support. I am the ultimate list maker & this app has taken the place of all my old lists & reminders. From weekend trips to two week vacations this is my go-to. Keep up the good work.

Keep coming back to this app. Even though I keep trying out new apps mainly due to the old fashioned design I keep coming back to this amazing app. It just does everything you would ever need. Do not be put off by the design and try it. If they would update the design I would never even try another app again.

love this app. I don't know what I would do without this app. Can make your own lists and sublists, keep things categorized, make packing lists for trips based on previous trips or based on your own master list -- it just makes everything easy and keeps you organized. I love it.

Incredibly Helpful. We love this APP for travel lists, so you’re not reinventing the wheel every time you go on a different trip. You can count on essentials & add the unique gear you don’t want to forget. I rely on this APP. Whether packing for a long trip including our pets, or a weekender to the lake, this lets me quickly identify my must-have items and get packing!!

One complaint. This is a very thorough and detailed packing list app. However, I wish there was a way to sync it with my family members so we can all access the list and check things off at the same time. I get that I can share the list with them via email, text, Dropbox, etc. but there is no way for my master list to update when they check something off.

A Must Have for Travelers. I doubt there is any other packing app that can even come close to this one. Its packed with so many options. I travel often and usually for 10 days at a time. This is incredibly helpful - since i started using it i haven’t forgotten one thing I wouldn’t even go away for a weekend without it

Comprehensive & Efficient. I’ve tried several packing list apps and this one is the best. The Master Catalog is quite comprehensive but easy to add to if needed. The sample lists are great starting points, as well as good memory joggers for items and categories of things I tend to forget. They’re also easy to customize. The developer is very responsive and helpful. I’ve only needed to contact him once but he got back to me within a couple hours!

Best App Ever!!!. I’ve been using this app for years! It literally is the best one I’ve ever used. I have saved everything from Disney Trips, Cruises, to overnight trips. All I have to do is pull up my old list and modify a few things each time. I love being able to have a list for everything and then being able to check it off as it’s done or packed. I can’t recommend this app enough!

Terrific checklist and management system. I have used this app for many years and have come to depend upon it. I am an active fisherman, golfer and skier and I have organized and categorized all my trips accordingly. For example, my fishing trips are to either freshwater or saltwater locations to fish for different species using much different gear. Keeping all my equipment up to date and allocated to the specific trips has been exceptionally helpful. I highly recommend this app.

Love this app!. I have used this for years and like that I can maintain lists for many types of trips (visit family, cruises, even an emergency list). On this day, I will copy an existing list and remove what I will not need. You can add pictures, and have it in case you need to submit an insurance claim while traveling. Makes packing a lot less stressful as I don’t have to worry about for forgetting an important item.

Comprehensive and reliable APP. I’ve been exclusively using this app since 2015 and rely on it to make sure I have everything I need when traveling. The built in lists are good but the ability to use old lists as templates is really valuable. Also adding categories and items makes it customized to how I travel and what items I regularly pack. Excellent app for every traveler whether you travel weekly or once every few years. I’m a believer!

Use it all the time. I've had this app for a few years and I like it a lot. As a touring musician I've traveled a lot in the last 25-30 years and I've always used checklists. Handwritten at first, then on printed spreadsheets, now this. So far I like this method, with this app, the best. My only complaint/suggestion is that I wish there was a MacBook version available that I could sync with my iOS devices.

This is the one!. What a great way to organize yourself. I have been using this app for at least five years. It is the most complete travel app I have been able to find, takes a little time to set up, but we’ll worth the time. Here is why it has helped me. • It allows me to plan a trip weeks (or months) in advance • while packing I go through my list to ensure I pack what I need • and finally, when I recheck my list before leaving our home I have found that I have reduced the number of items I have left at home, like a book or reading material.

I use this every time I travel. The app makes it easy to keep a primary travel list, plus other lists specifically for different types of trips. It takes a minute to figure out how to use the app, but saves a ton of time in the long run. I used to just put lists on word processing, but this app actually keeps me more organized.

So Flexible And Useful. We’ve been using Packing Pro for years for everything, from vacation packing lists to varieties of complex RV checklists and periodic maintenance reminders. It’s so easy to check off packed/ inspected items then restart them even the very next day for daily inspections.

Best packing App. This App is great! I have been using it for years. It saves my old packing lists, and when I start a new one, I begin with an old similar trip and add or delete things. I never take a trip (even a weekend) without using this! Has kept me from forgetting things.

I’ve been using this for years. This is a great app, hands-down. I’ve used this app for years, and rely on it heavily to arrive at my destination with everything I need. My packing list for snow skiing has over 100 items on it and all organized by category (e.g., equipment vs. clothes). I’d be lost without this app.

Great Travel App. Packing Pro syncs across iPhone and iPad. I keep my own master packing list, currently about 200 items in 15 categories. Then when I'm planning a trip I create a trip-specific list and delete items I'm not going to take. Then as I pack and prepare to depart I check-off items one by one. Without Packing Pro, I would surely forget something! App is stable and easy to use. I couldn't live without it.
