Great. So this app is pretty useful. How ever it could be better.

Ok, much info missing. The info provided is limited especially when trying to look up book value per share to market. BMO does much better job.

Extremely slow to make any trade. You need to pass through many loops and hoops to make a trade. That’s a valuable time you’re missing. Do not like it at all. If it was not for my TFSA account I would never use it.

Worst App. CIBC needs to update so much in this fast developing tech world, the app is so bad and you cant trade options spreads and so many clicks needed for placing one options trade. See think or swim or other trading platforms and update accordingly, if I had an option( since i bank with cibc, my options are limited) I would run away

Not able to trade US stocks. Since I’ve opened the account over 2 weeks ago. The branch took a copy of my ID but the app tells me that I have to send a scanned copy.....which we already did Rick 613-618-0026

Fix it!. It opens blank white screen, nothing else. Can you fix it soon?

Very basic features, not for traders. This app lacks many features for professional traders like: (1) auto-display real times shares prices: I have to press the refresh button to get continuously the current shares price. (2) the selling of shares at the market price is slow (up to 4 minutes before it’s done), and there is no app notification of realized trades. I have to read the emails send time me to realize that my trade order has been done.

Basic app and far behind competitors. Can’t even understand my rate of return with the app… Sunlife app for instance is much much better.

way to slow. tHis is just gimmicky. tHe price action is like 10mins delayed from real time market. no dollar cost avg for sHares bougHt. orders take time to file and always gets filled at HigH prices. only tHing good is tHe 6.99 per trade. we need better trading platforms in Canada like webull or thinkorswim.

always improving. It started off as pretty not so good app but investors edge is always working on it and improving it. That’s what makes a good app always improving.

The designer is definitely not an investor. It's a pathetic app. I have lost a lot of money because it doesn't show the investment properly. The investments need to be in a form of a table like any other good platform. I so much want to take my investments to some other banking.

Decent app. The website is pretty primitive and the app does not fix those issues

Improvements are great. The old app was alright and not the friendly to use. This new format is great and the UI has a good flow but more can be done to make it less complicated.

Excellent. Gives a whole overview of portfolio.

Convenient. It’s faster and easier for me to look at my portfolio on my phone than on my computer. The transactions are faster, especially when I deposit money from my other bank account from a different bank

Manque une donnée importante. Devrais être en mesure de voir les % de mes produits (actions, obligations, revenus fixe, encaisse) par compte et en total de mon portefeuille soit mon niveau de risque. Inconcevable que je ne peux pas voir cette donnée en 2024, je dois téléphoner mon conseiller et lui demander quand je veux le voir. Il y a 20 ans j’étais dans une autre installation et je l’avais dans le système. J’aimerais aussi recevoir un courriel lorsque qu’un placement avec terme arrive à terme.

TouchID please!!. It's so much better! All I ask is touchid support please, else it would be 5 stars!

Average. Touch ID has been disabled for about a week.. BMO InvestorLine app is far superior

Needs improvement. Signing out should be done by trader not by time limit, it takes time to sign in and price can go up or down fast!

Interface. Fairly easy to navigate, flows decently.

Investors Edge App. Well designed and user friendly . Easy to navigate and face recognition allows me to buy and sell stocks in seconds

Face ID is very bad. I can’t sign in with Face ID, it keeps giving me error!

Accounts. On the main “accounts” tab you recently made a change where you must click on the account number itself on the left hand side only to access the account, whereas prior to that you could click anywhere on each account section to access that account. That was much easier. Small thing but it’s a bit of a nuisance. Thank you

Much improved. This update is very good for the following reasons: 1. New interface that allows easy and quick access to various menus. 2. Very stable so far. No random crash. 3. Finally it is able to remember Account ID and allows copy & paste of password for quick login. Thank you for the good work!

Too slow preparing trades. The latest version is better, telling me for instance how man share I have to sell, or how many I can buy, I want the ability to prepare and store several stock trades for each account so I can select the saved trade, fill in the price and submit. Even better if a single buy or sell can be across multiple accounts.

Use ability good, data issues though. The app is easy to use, but my data on my portfolio has off many times lately

It got worse. Unlike most apps, Cibc aims to impress with an experience that steadily gets worse. Do you want your information to be less accessible to you? Check. Do you want to have less information available to you? Check. Do you want to have to memorize exactly how many shares of a company you have, when you go to sell those shares? Double check! If you plan to do anything other than buy, there are way better platforms now. And the worst part is, the app wasn’t that bad a year or so ago. They literally updated the app to make it harder to use. The app itself is probably worth three stars, if it didn’t have a history of slowly getting worse.

Terrible app. Unintuitive and takes a while before an order is placed. Recommend going with something else. TD direct investing is much better.

Feels Outdated. This is a very useful app for investors and has fantastic potential. However, it’s missing too many features, like the ability to see statistical information. The interface is outdated as it did not support the larger screen of my former iPhone X, nor does it support the larger screen of my iPhone XS Max. More importantly, an iPad version, such as CIBC has one for banking, is badly needed. While it supports FaceID, the menu only mentions Touch ID, and this should be updated.

Needs to follow other platform- specifically questrade.!!. They have improved it.. however there is so much more to improve.. like other apps show “unrealized gain/loss”, beta, theta values & so on.. Also the app doesn’t allow any research or analysis of the stock in mobile app. You need to login on desktop version to see those.. while CIBC charges competitive to other platforms, there is so much more you can provide.. edit: a much better version of than all about a year ago..

Not good. Compared to other banking, investing apps offered in Canada, this one is by far the worst. Not user friendly. They really need to get in touch with experienced individuals in markets and take note on what they use/need for success. Avoid.

Great Site!!. Easy to understand and make transactions.

Regular user. If it had an API to extract data to a spreadsheet, it would be perfect. Also, no research in mobile app.

Platform. No where close to other apps in regards to trading platforms- have to go into transactions history to find average cost. Getting quotes is horrible and slow. Option chains horrible. However I do understand this app/ platform is not designed for active traders regardless these are easy fixes.

Very Disappointed. Why change something that’s good? I was a big fan of the user-friendly user face before the change.

Sloooowww. This app has become so slow I dread making my trades every morning. I am a busy guy and I am losing money because I just don't have time to take the actions I need to take when every screen needs to load for a minute at a time. I have started doing research on better trading platforms. I will be moving my portfolio and fully closing my accounts with CIBC.

Excellent reassurance. Have used the app/ access for some time and despite early teething problems now find it to be excellent and lets me know how things are going.

Improvements noted but still costly. The CIBC Investors Edge app has evolved and improved nicely over recent years to provide clients with the features and security we require to help us better access and understand our investments . One should also note security upgrades seem to have been done. Where the app falls down is not offering clients the ability to have forms easily mailed to them rather than clients having to use their own time to pull up the documents and print them off. The Investors Edge platform remains relatively expensive for clients, with each trade costing $6.95. This effectively means spending a minimum of $14 just to buy and sell shares in a single security. Therefore if one does extensive trading the costs quickly become prohibitive and dissuade one from using IA when there are more welcoming platforms available.

Unreliable. Often fails

CIBC is stuck in Dinosaur age. Comparing the app to Wealthsimple and RBC, CIBC seems like a top heavy organization that just cannot compete in the modern digital age. By far the worst User experience in both mobile and website fronts. Pretty sure I won’t be a customer for Long.

Cash has “disappeared” from home screen. In the latest update, the amount of cash in each of my accounts has disappeared from the home screen or dashboard. Why? Who knows. Just another update for updating’s sake. Now I can’t see how much cash I have available in each account at a glance. So I don’t know what I have available for making purchases. Instead of being there right when I open the app, checking how much cash I have is 2 or 3 additional clicks away. Again, what was the point of this change? This is a trend with this app: changes that appear or are intended to be sleek, but make the usability or functionality of the app noticeably worse. Please return the cash to home screen.

Update. The app needs an update to allow clients to know when their money is going to be settled and it also needs better information as to when your cash transfers are going to be transferred into your account. Panorama. Well done. Immediate transfers have arrived. Well done.

Can be improved a lot. The most important view is to see the buying price , current price and %loss or gain of all my investments in an account in one screen. Currently your book value tab doesnt provide the buying price. Also i need to know the buying price easily in CAnadian dollar for stocks purchased on USA stock exchanges. bine if these are easy to find

Not a fan of the new version. I liked the old version better. I can see market value of my shares when I click the stock instead of now

Good but can be better. Too many password , login , trading , banking . Not all accounts come in one platform unless you manually add it . Also for stock whose trading has been halted , for example BNXA , it shows stock price up 19.91% under most recent, even though stock has not been trading for long time. Quick trade is really good. But new app updates doesn’t show available CAD USD cash balance on page summary unless you actually go in the account. I need to see what account has how much cash available on page summary for easy trade.
