Xylo for Dash robot App Reviews

Crashes every time.. Every time I launch the app, it gets to "connect mallet" and then the app dies. I spent a lot of money on a toy I can't use. Very unhappy.

Fun App!. This app is so much fun. We had the same crashing problem. I deleted the app, reinstalled it and it worked. My son created music with Dash for over an hour today. We are very happy with our new robots.

Crashes. Crashes every time and as previous user stated has only worked once. Very disappointed and far too expensive not to work.

Crashes. Like others, the application works once and then crashes every time afterwards.

Crash. Daughter was able to write/play jingle bells once.....has been consistently crashing ever since.... Too many bugs total.....waste of cash

Crashes. Worked fine until the software update. I tested it before Christmas and it functioned, then did the update and wrapped it. On Christmas Day my daughter opened it and was very excited to play with the Xlyo. Unfortunately it crashes everything and is unusable. Don't buy this accessory until this issue is fixed as it's worthless.

Great musical app. My 7-year old loved this app as she is also loves music. No issues found so far as the parents described in the other reviews.

Crashes after selecting attach arm. App consistently crashes....please fix as it make xylo impossible to use

Consistent bug. Worked once. Now crashes.

Crashes every time. Fun program, but crashes every time it is restarted. It must be deleted and reloaded to work once. I try to just leave the program running but it always gets shut off by others. The saved songs are then deleted. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Great, but add song import and sharing!. I really like all apps for Dash and Dot, but to make them really good robots for your idea of a robot band, Dot being singer, please add an "Import to Blockly/Go" function for those not so talented with controlling Dash's xylophone in Blockly.

Won’t connect. Keeps saying Bluetooth is not on even though it is. Won’t connect to our Dash. All their other apps work without issue.

I love this app. Of the apps for dash this one is the best. It is pretty neat to be able to see real world interaction with dash live as you are composing. For future releases maybe throw in some options to have dot sing along or hum or play a kazoo song.

Crashes ... Just like everyone else. Very disappointing this is not working. Spent way too much on Xmas updating my iPad and trying to get it working for the kids. Please get an update out asap

Error message. All of the other apps work. This one continuously pops up with an error message that says Bluetooth is not connected. It is.

Great app... When it works..... It appears to work fine when used initially, however it always seems to crash the next time around which requires a re-install of the app. I hope this gets fixed....

Crashy. Recognizes mounted xylophone and mallet but then crashes.

Does not work!. Worked fine the first time, now it crashes as soon as he app is started. As other users said, asks to attach xylophone, then mallet... and crashes. Not happy. Make Wonder, are you listening?!?!

Needs to be developped for iphone. I have those worthless robots. Ipad 2 does not work because of bluetooth. Have an iphone 6 and no app isavailable. Come on after waiting for almost 2 years!

Pretty buggy for the price of the toys. The app worked fine once or twice, but crashes every time I start it and go through the steps of attaching the mallet. ***** Update 12/29/14***** Deleting it and reinstalling it made it work again, but starts crashing again, every time, after the first time. Reducing to 1 star.

Pretty good. Xylo worked fairly well, no major problems with operation. Only issue is that the calibration doesn't seem to be completely accurate, as the mallet would sometimes (roughly 1 in 5 times) hit two keys at once (i.e., hit too close to the edge of the intended key).

Works once, then just crashes. It was great the first time, but now it just crashes all the time. Rebooting iPad and robot have no effect.

Fun app. I use this with my Wonder Pack. Both my kids are fascinated with a robot playing the xylophone.

It’s Ok. This is a cool app and I love that you can play music with it but it needs some more advanced and cooler songs. Like on that you listen to everyday. Update it and I’ll give it 5 stars and tell my friends all about it!

Keep crashing. The app crashes every time after the steps to attach accessories.

Bugs…. I wonder if the company decided to let this app go as time went… There are a lot more bugs than there were before, like when trying to move the different panels, it just stacks them all together. It’s kind of sad, because this app has so much potential in music class! I would love to do more robotics in music, but the bugs and lack of upgrades discourage me so much…
