Crashing. Most of the times when I come on here, it crashes. My fugu may run away because of that.

Love this game ❤. Never wrote a review before but I feel like its due. I’ve playing this game for a couple of years and absolutely love it. I see that it’s been taken over by a new developer and that makes me happy. I really hope to see future updates. There is so much potential here. Would really like for more decorations and activities to do with your fugu! Maybe players could own more than one fugu at a time? Thanks for bringing this back :)

Horrible update to unacceptable. This game isn’t half of what it used to be. I’m so disappointed. The graphics are terrible and that’s saying something coming from me. I can buy anything in the store without any money because of a coding glitch that popped up on my screen. I am now NEGATIVE star coins because I allowed a purchase of a pedometer. Absolutely furious at how this game has been forgotten. It used to be an amazing game. Not sure what went wrong but I truly hate to see a game I’ve loved so much glitch out of its Mind like this. Give me back my 1st gen. This is unacceptable.

So Sad. I loved this game from the time I got my first phone back in 2013. I went away from apple because they throttled my phone battery after a few years and I couldn’t afford a new iPhone at the time as a broke college kid. Now I finally have a shiny new iPad and went to download this app and it’s behind a subscription wall?! Lame. So sad I can’t play anymore.

No update for the iPhone X?. Please update and add more stuff. I love my fugu and when I first purchased the app it was my go to. Please update and add to this amazing pet 😩.

😭. I lost all my data after i updated my phone, all my time and money went poof in me 😩 back to square one.

Sweet -- and bittersweet. Please add seasonal items back!. Though the pet is virtual, it's easy to become attached. On rough days, your little fugu running up to greet you definitely helps bring a smile. I understand, however, that no further updates are planned, and lovely, previously designed seasonal items were removed from the game, such as Easter decor and egg house, Halloween decor and haunted house, beach decor and sand castle, gold temple, etc. Please, please, please add these back--I'm sure there are many people still playing that want to add these and would be more than happy to pay, for what would likely be very minimal coding cost to the developer.

I really like this app but there's a problem. I like the app a lot like a lot but I received 3star coins and I bought an orange rug with them and then it crashed when I can back my rug was not there and it had said that I hadn't purchased it :(😢☹️

😢Please Read. Don't get me wrong, this game is great. But I accidentally deleted this app with all of my memory with my fugu. This app doesn't have a feature that saves it all and I'm really depressed. PLEASE. Make it so if the app is deleted, it's okay! Because you can always get your fugu and memory back. Kinda like how Pokemon go works with a email or something! This app is great but now I gotta start back at square one 😢😢

Has become boring. Have had this game for over six years so just keep it going but it’s not getting better. How about some real change and not just “bug fixes and performance improvements?” Developer has really let us die-hard fans down. Innovate will ya!?

Fugu. I really like this game. To bad haven’t been any updates after all these years. I still take care of my fugu. For some reason he doesn’t have bowel movements anymore to clean nor does he cry when hungry or if we don’t check on him for a while. The sticker sms option also doesn’t work like it used to. And the steps option leading to a white box gift doesn’t work either. Please update this lovely game!

Good. There’s no way to earn allot of acorns or coins. There needs to be an exchange for stickers I’ve got at least 5 of every one and still get more. I don’t see what people talk about with ads I’ve never gotten anything like that. Maybe do ads for acorns that’s be great so I can earn them to save up since you rarely get a couple 100 and most things cost over 200 acorns. Also if you buy a fruit for an amount then it should sell for that amount not every fruit sells for the same cheap price.

Love this game.. I got this game probably over 12 years ago and I just re-download it. Amazing idea! I am still in love with everything about this game. It’s so cute! I was just wondering how I’m supposed to walk my fugu!!!

Put all choices back. Since you are not adding additional items, can you just put back all the seasonal items that have been removed (like Sandcastle, Halloween House & Pastel Egg Fruit). I still enjoy playing but want these options back

How do I play Ooga Jump. I heard that if you get the Pygmy plush from the workshop you can play Ooga jump U have waited for days but I never got it the Pygmy plushie so how long do I have to wait

Wishing for an update!. Although I rarely ever play this game nowadays, this has been a fun app and was the only game I actively played for about a year. Do wish the developers hadn’t given up on this one and continued with updates. Any opportunities to pass onto new developers? 🙋‍♀️

Love this app and dislike ONLY 2 things about it. First off, I absolutely love my little Mishoo (my fugu) He is my second, As a very depressing thing happened and I lost Mooshi....I cry when I think about my black and purple eyed Mooshi, Obviously I become attached to my Fugus as they are cute and so sweet. Though the downsides to the app are: 1.) No cloud saves, So if you lose your phone or delete the app well. Bye bye Fugu :( 2.) No real support or help is offered for this app, So troubleshooting is near impossible on your own...Really wish that these 2 things were fixed. Otherwise this app has the power to wipe away all depression as these little fugus are bundles of joy.

I agree with scifigirl. My Fugu is 1600 days old now and I still enjoy him. Aside from everything SciFiGirl said buying acorns with coins would be nice too. Also I see there is a cityscape background that I’ve never seen in the store before. Its a little sad seeing bare shelves when I go to the store.

Holds up through the years. It has been such a long time since this app came out, yet it doesn’t feel like it has aged a bit. It still competes in quality against modern apps. Wish it got even more love, but it’s been two years since the last update!

PLEASE READ. I have had the app for 3 years and it is great and all. However it needs an option to change your Pets color permanently. Because after awhile O got tired of the pink that I picked 3 years ago and I am sure others have and will to.

Annoying. It never told me that I would have to buy a subscription to play it, there is no way of playing unless you pay money, I’m annoyed that it didn’t tell me, I loved the game and would love to play it but I’m not paying just to play a game

Third time’s a charm—NOT!!!. Wait a daggone minute!! You mean to tell me that something you paid real money on is a lost cause if you upgrade your phone? That’s all it takes to lose your pet whom we were told to love, nurture and take care of? Psshht! Second time fool, third time-uninstalled. Bye!

Love it... but there could be more. Overall love the game. It’s very cute. However, I wish there was more to do, such as going places with your fugu and maybe even having two fugu. The game has a lot of potential to be amazing!

I played hatch a few years ago, I upgraded my phone and I lost it, I was very happy when I saw the app in the store again, however I was very disappointing when I realized the ability to share stickers via SMS was removed, as well as the one when you send a fruit flying up, fugu goes up to retrieve it, you won’t see the fruit landing in the background, please restore this beloved features, I really love hatch, please

Was better before. It’s pretty much the exact same it used to be (before game club took over) except now you can’t use stickers like you used to.

Was once a fun game now a pay to play game. I have had hatch on my iPhone for since the game came out more than Four years ago. I do know that it became buggy and out of date when the developer went MIA but I still played the game until I had 100% completion. Making me pay a subscription for a game that I bought years ago. Not fair.

Bring back ad-free for legacy users. I am so tired of apps being ad-monetized after I have paid for them. The original dev did something similar before GameClub acquired it, which is the reason I deleted it in the first place. I guess it is that time again. It's a fun game if you can live with ads when your Fugu is hungry. And before "developer response" comes in here with a half-baked reply, no I will not create a GameClub account so you can "turn off" ads while making money off my email address.

Good, for the first 20 minutes. So, I played this game for 20 minutes and it was awesome. Then it said I had to subscribe. So, on other games, when it says to subscribe there is usually an X button, but here it said: Oops, your trial has expired. Sign up to GameClub to continue playing. If you can’t pay money for games, this game will only last you a mere 20 minutes.

I LOVE THIS APP only one insy problem. I absolute love this game I also love I think mugs I love that there’s apple trees so it’s easy to get food there’s only one Insy problem I want more like it could be funner if like you can buy a pet as a little helper and you can more stuff like a teddy bear blanket ok that’s all

LOVE THIS GAME!!!!. I have had my FUGU (Fluffy) for 2302 DAYS! That is a long time! I HAVE NOT MISSED A SINGLE DAY OF TAKING CARE OF HIM! The developer at first, was okay. Maybe from time to time there would be an update. Now that this game is in your hands, can you PLEASE PLEASE consider a really great and huge update! Maybe some new fun fruits, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A CUTE PET FOR MY FUGU!!! How about more and cute SCENERY! I would like to see my fugu be able to TRAVEL to different places!!! WAY WAY MORE INTERACTION IS DEFINITELY NEEDED!!! Maybe scenery with MOVING WATERFALLS, or really beautiful GARDENS, something new, PLEASE!!!!!!! Thank you for your consideration with this.

Missing Game Mechanics. I love my Fugu but why did you remove so many mechanics from the game? Not only have you not added any new items to the store or new ways to interact but you removed a lot. Not the least of which is the wonderful way the background changed relative to changing positioning on the foreground. It is so much more static and less encompassing since you folks took over. Why ruin the marvelous game it used to be.

I love my little fugu!. My fugu does feel like a real pet, and I've become quite attached to it. It's true there's not much to do with it, but it isn't a game, per se... It's an artificial pet. Spend a few minutes with it every few hours or so, and it will really grow on you. It's sweet how it comes running up to see me. I forget it's an app sometime.

This used to be a fun game. The developers have said they made no money, even though they did...and that they won't ever be updating the game again. So if you have a problem, which you will, you're screwed. Shame as it was a cute game!

Would have been a 5 stars. I used to love this game but I get it back and I’m only allowed to play 15 minutes then I have to subscribe to play how is that fair? Great Game...but. Love my fugu...everyone of them...when I have to start over every time I get a new phone. Please make a save function!!! That’s allot of effort out the window.

The update screwed it up. I love this game. I’ve had it for years. It’s always nice to see a smiling face when you open your phone. But I woke up this morning or open it and the screen sizing is messed up, the decorations don’t fit and I can’t scroll through my bag to feed mine. I hope you fix this. I really love the game.

Miss the old features!. I’ve been taking care of my Fugu, Newman, for 9.5 years! I love him and still check on him everyday. I have to say that I was sad to see so many items drop out of the store. I miss the homes and decorations the most. The thing I miss most are the Moon Cookies and the way a fugu would howl when you fed them one.

Nostalgia. I used to play this game a lot when I was younger for a couple ,e of years I’ve been buying new things and all that jazz, I come back here a couple of years later because I would love to have played this amazing game....no is basically what I got because now I have to pay for it? And it has ads.... I miss the old one, I know you have to make a profit but you ruined a beautiful game. Edit- well from what I’ve seen it didn’t work for most of the people here, I think you might wanna fix that

Finally needs to die. This was better off as an abandoned app then with the damage done by Game Club. The graphics don’t line up, they spam you if you give your real email, and the whole thing feels like it is worse every “update.” Don’t bother. I’ll be sad to finally delete my fugu, but he doesn’t deserve this treatment.

need cloud backup option. i play this on my iPhone 5s. i am now using 7 plus. but i cannot give 5s away because of Hatch. i really need to backup and restore in 7 plus. it must have backup feature.

Make virtual hatch a real game!. I just got the virtual hatch wallpaper and I love it because I love the old school tamagotchi! I wish it were a real thing! Please make that a real game!

Ads on old users is nonsense. When you took over Hatch you said that old users could continue to use the app uninterrupted by ads and that subscription was optional and that our experience would remain unchanged. For new users of the Hatch app there would be ads if the users were not subscribed to Gameclub and that they would need to get subscription to remove the ads. This was NOT supposed to affect old users who have been using the app for years. However, your latest update has forced ads in my app even though I have been a customer of the Hatch app for 6 years. I continue playing the app for nostalgia sake and NOT because Gameclub took over. All I want to do is feed my pet uninterrupted as I have been for the past 6 years. Do the right thing and remove the ads from the apps of users that downloaded the app prior to your acquisition.

I Just Downloaded…. This app and not realizing you need to pay a subscription to continue to play after 15 minutes is ridiculous. I was recommended this app even though it’s been a year since it’s last update. Why would you keep this app behind a paywall? I wish I was told about this beforehand. App deleted.

Love this game. This is the longest iv had a virtual pet, i would love if you added more stuff to the game, the different colored fruits are awesome , i love that they turn the fugu different colors, also love that it keeps a step calcuater which is pretty neat, i hope it comes out with more different things in the store for him to interact with as well as more interesting things for him to sit on , maybe even a fugo friend, also maybe some type of program or daycare if people go on long vacations with no reception, i dont want my fugu to die when i go on a cruise eventually :( .

Charming, but..... This has been my favorite app since its launch. I’ve followed it all the way through since the beginning but there’s never anything new. The last update was a year ago, and I’m afraid the developers are abandoning the app. There’s a loyal following and I hope the devs take advantage of it. The lack of new material is the only reason for 4 stars.

Love this app!. I love this app. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that Boo (my fugu) is virtual. Im in love with the graphics as well! But some updates would be nice...I wish I could explore and expand my fugu’s play area and his world....would be nice too to have a save option. But all in all, 5/5 stars!! Love this game!!

Intro keeps replaying. After years of using this app, I wanted to reinstall it a play it again on my new phone but there is a glitch. 😩 when I open the app, the intro keeps playing again and again and won’t go to the actual game. I get notifications and all but the intro is the only thing I can see. Please help!! I would love to have my fugu again 🥺

Love the game, but one problem. I love this game so much, this is the best virtual pet game I’ve ever played, I played it before the whole game club was a thing and when game club DID become a thing, I hate that I could only play it for like 20 minutes and be forced to do a trial if I wanted to still play it. I wish you guys could maybe let us play it for a bit longer. Thanks for reading this.

❤️ it, but want more things u can do with ur fugu.. Don't get me wrong, I love my fugu smudge, and he's awesome. But I wish there could be more things you could do with your fugu. Like more fruits, you could feed your fugu, watermelon, coconuts, bananas, etc. And there should be an option called adventure mode, when you can control your fugu with your finger and find trinkets to use and play with them. Also you could find eggs once in a while in a lake. And also there could be a fugu café where you could buy more foods for your fugu, and when you hatch an egg it could be a baby fugu you could keep and care for. Also I would like more active and interactive options to do with your fugu. I really hope these updates come up in the future!

Beautiful. It's expected that the graphics are this beautiful considering David Lanham was the illustrator behind them. Amazing job! Not sure yet if these fugus will evolve but hoping so! If not it would be a great feature to add! Great work to the whole team!

Will be better with some tweaking. Not a great game for someone who has their phone on charge for most of the day. Maybe make it an option not to put them to sleep?

Cute new tricks. Only one problem so far, when opening bag to get fruit, if a banner notification shows, the bag cannot be closed. Had to kill the app to restart before it is dismissible again.

Shop keeps selling the same blankets!! 😤😖😫. When you introduced the sell back blanket option I thought "awesome" (finally a way to get rid of some unwanted items!) only to see them reappear in the shop constantly ever since!! It's driving me insane!!!! 😱😱😱😱 Everyday I check hoping to get some tree or ground decors but all I keep getting are the same old blankets!!! FIX IT PLEASE!!! I'm sure many others think the same as me!!! Backgrounds are more important than blankets!

Great App. I love this app so much and love my blue fugu Cubby but there could be some improvements. •Costumes in Max's Shop so that you can dress up your Fugu •More Colours of fugus •A gym where you can exercise you Fugu and earn acorns/starfruit •A Fugu city where you can walk your Fugu and buy special items •More fruits different scenery In conclusion this is a great app and my Fugu is adorable, but these improvements could be added. Love it but. Love the game a lot but it has a serious crashing problem, at least for me with an older iPod. This is seriously annoying. Can't go a few minutes playing without it crashing. Please fix.

YAY FUGUS!. This is an amazin app, it's really cool and really fun. I love how cute they are, and that you need to look after them. I do have a problem though. With the new update, you get little houses for your Fugu to go in. I'm having trouble purchasing said houses from Max's shop, and I don't know why. I have iTunes credit, so that shouldn't be the problem. Can someone look into this please? Thanks. :)

Could be good. As most everyone has says, it’s super cute. From a gameplay point of view I admire what they’re trying to do, with the features they have being well implemented, however, there just isn’t a whole lot to do with compared to similar games. It’s a shame because it really is adorable. It seems updates are few and far between, so I don’t hold out hope of things improving too much. Sadly.

Gf and I love this game. I love this game so much. Gf and I loved the stickers on facebook and she found out there was a game! Brings so much joy to take care of the little fugus by feeding them and spoiling them with gifts. Sometimes they give you one too. I wish this game will always be there to play.

☆ Cute and fun! *◕ 3 ◕*. This app is really easy to play and has great graphics! In the next update it would be great if you could dress up Fugu and also add little animals for Fugu to play with. So far I've had no problems and I would recommend to anyone who is thinking of buying it😊👍

140 days strong. Get job with Hatch- it's a fun app to idle away moment of each day. That said, I'd love to be able to "pause" it, so I can go on holiday and have things be the same when I get back! Keep up the awesome updates!

It's ok. Fun to start off but it gets pretty boring quickly. I'd wait for a major update before paying for it.

Buggy, no options for export.. Game has issues with the text speech bubble getting in the way of the background. Dialogue often sticks open. Game asks for real dollars, but gives no options for transferring a pet to a fresh device. Not worth the investment.

Game is unfinished. Game desperately needs more contents, and by that, I don't mean the mats nor bags. As of right now, there are absolutely nothing to do after naming the pet. There are need to be more interactions, pet progression or simply fun stuffs to do. The feature list needs to be expanded horizontally not vertically.

Entertaining. Great game, fun and so life like. It would be cool if you could punish your fugu when it's bad and see when it's hungry or it's mood in the notebook. It could also use with - Clothes for the fugu - More chances to get stickers, acorns and star coins - The chance to own multiple fugus'

A fun pet to have on your phone!. My Fugu is over 2 years old at this point, so that's gotta count for something, right? :)

Yes super cute but buggy. I love the photo feature! And the fugu is just adorable with super cute sounds, but it definitely needs more activities or events otherwise everything is quite repetitive & can become tedious. Also I keep loosing my star fruit! Not happy :-( And I can't change my setup for Facebook sharing so I can't post photos, please fix! Thanks! ;-)

Fun but buggy. I’ve had a play with it & my little girl (8yrs) loves it but she keeps bring me the iPad as the game frequently gets stuck. The shop often can’t be closed & the only way to fix it is to crash out of the app. As another user said the birth certificate won’t go away, you have to crash out of the app’ then too. Considering how long they’ve been in pre-production with this app for I would have thought that such conspicuous bugs wouldn’t be there.

Kids will love it. How ever the birth certificate is stuck on the screen blocking the view now? Any suggestions on a fix?

Most boring game ever. Not even as good as a tamagotchi. All you do is feed him. Not even any mini games. You'd think for $2 the developers would at least make the game a little bit interactive. Don't waste your money.

The cutest little virtual pet you’ve ever seen. I LOVE my Fugu and would totally give 5 stars if there was an update with some new mini-games or customization! I used to play all the time but gave up dreams that the game would ever add more content. Please can we have an update with new features?!?

Accessories? Toys? Please?. I love hatch and my Fugu, but you should be able to buy accessories for your Fugu like a hat or moustache or a coat, and some toys to play with like a tug of war rope, or a frisbee. Good but... Every time I exit the game it it restarts my whole adventure. So I have it hatched and fed and the gift shop is up then I exit it out and poof I have to hatch my fugu all over again

Disappointed. Was eagerly waiting for this app. Have used it for a week and am sadly disappointed. It started off nicely and seemed to have potential but delivers little over the passage of time cept for a crying pet every morning. Feel like it was a waste of money.

Adorable but dull. Adorable graphics and concept, but gets really annoying fast with the alerts and lack of interest after a day or so. Literally becomes a nuisance after a while. Has a lot of potential but needs more to keep users engaged and interested - gets boring fast.

Good, but could be more. It's a lot of fun to play with your "Fugu" in this app for the first couple of days. It doesn't take long for you to run out of things to do or buy. I still enter the app every now and then, but it's certainly lost it's into tail appeal. Also, the heart effect that shows affection from your Fugu incorrectly displays when your Fugu is either licking the screen or sleeping. Just a minor detail that I thought would have been different. There also seems to be a bug with the grapes where picking them from the bag makes them get stuck in a layer and displays statically in the air above your Fugu. After a couple weeks my Fugu ran away. This app is simply too demanding from the user, so you're going to be punished if you can't make it on regularly. Big disappointment.

AMAZING!!!. Well worth my money. I love my fugu so much, and I know that she loves me too. Just a suggestion, Max, if you see this, maybe add a bathtub for 10 star coins so you can wash your fugu? Other than that, amazing game.

Adorable and simple virtual pet!. I've been watching the development of this app for the past year...and it does not disappoint! Gameplay is simple and animations are simply adorable. Push notifications are a little frequent for my liking, but overall this is the virtual pet of the 21st century we've been waiting for!

Not bad. It is a very fun app, although it gets repetitive it still keeps me entertained after a week of playing it. I am also confused on how to take a photo of your fugu with the camera, I can only take regular photos of the place around me. But overall, a fair app.

😡. I normally don't make reviews on iTunes, but I HAD to talk about this. I was so excited for this app when there was an email newsletter and the option to choose an exclusive pet. Well, I must have been late downloading the thing because I didn't get my exclusive pet. Anyway, I finally got it and waited overnight for the thing to be born and all that. I opened up the app, pet it enough that it rolled on it's side and..... Crash! The app crashed! I checked on it and it was a little egg again. I decided to try again. I played for 15 minutes, got a low battery message, the app crashed, and it was an egg again. I then wrote this review. Wait for an update to fix all this. Don't get this app yet. Tl;dr:was excited to get the app, got the app late, it keeps on crashing and resetting, so I wrote this review in a rage.

I love my Fugu!. I'll never get sick of this. I regret the name I gave him, but I've had him since the app started. Never deleted, and I'd like to think I have a special colour since I "adopted" my egg before the app even was available! This is way better than a tamagotchi!

Love The App, but... I noticed you no new updates for cool christmas stuff what gives.. it seems this app is dead. I wish we could save out pet with a login option incase ppl get a new phone to keep the same pet. I want to not have to restart my pet when that happens. Noticed the facebook page hasnt been posting much lately.

Boring - not enough content. I had high hopes for the game but am pretty disappointed overall. The play on guilt far exceeds the rewards and number of things you can do for fun in the game.

Crashes and restarts. No sooner do I get a fugu pet and play it either crashes and I have to restart or when I exit and reopen app I'm restarting a new fugu. Have my iPod touch at the most recent iOS. Would really like to play without the issues.

Needs too much attention.. This game is great if you want to feel like crap. This game needs settings as to play activity. Too much running away, and now he's gone for good, and wants me to start over. This is ridiculous for being a paid app. He doesn't grow, sounds can be more monster-like instead of a kid, and should be able to live throughout a day when people WORK all day. Tone it back a bit and you get more stars from me if it matters.

Outta control. Since the new update, every time I pick up the poop, it keeps popping after...I can't even feed him! Please fix the bug!

Boring. Gets really old and boring after a couple of days

Hatch. This game is ok it's not the best game. Graphics are amazing and cute. And if you want to know yes it is like a tamagotchi popular in the 90s. Also I think it's worth $2. And if the developers are reading this sometimes it crashes and for some reason when I pick fruit from the tree I see a grape or some kind of fruit I try to pick it but it won't come off the tree please update. In my option great game hope you enjoy it too.

Great...at first.. I loved this app at first - I didn't find it overly demanding and the graphics were great. Once I hit about 60 days though, it turned into a bit of a yawn. It's still super cute and I go in every now and then just to keep it from running away but I'm racking up the stars and acorns and there's not even anything new to buy to keep me amused. I keep holding out for an update that will add a new dimension but I'm losing hope that one is coming. This app was on it's way to becoming one of my all time faves but it's rapidly losing favor.

Well marketed garbage!. Terrible "game." Pointless. Absolutely nothing to do. It wouldn't even be that much of an upset, but it's not actually 90 MBs. It's 350. Definitely not worth a third of a gig on my iphone. Total waste of money. But nicely packaged. Well done, marketing department! Save your $$$ everyone else!

Kinda blah.. I waited a long time for this app to come out and bought it the first day it was released. The little guy is cute but he just doesn't do much other than eat and poop. I've kept my fugu alive in hopes that future updates would improve the gameplay. I'm also very annoyed that the fugu can run away for good so easily. There should be a vacation mode.

Beautiful but can get boring after a while.. Not much in this initial release. It has the basic functions of a virtual pet game and looks and feels new and beautiful. But right now there is not much to so with your fugu. Waiting for updates to rate higher.

Nothing to do. The pet does nothing but eat and respond to basic interactions. You have nothing to do but feed the pet and make basic interactions.

Not Deep Enough. This app succeeds in the beginning, but unfortunately it never changes and that is where it fails. This game fails to capture the most important aspects of virtual pet games, most importantly being that it changes or "ages" over time behaving differently at each age. Second, the pet should be able to die, not just "run away". Third, friend's pets should be able to interact, this is a huge missed opportunity. The iPad could have been used as a large place with multiple pets. But no, you just eternally pick three kinds of fruit off trees, feed the pet, rub it's belly, feed it more, it poops, you scoop until a ring of flowers fills around it. Then they go purple, fruit grow extra fast and then you get a star fruit, then it resets. The store fails to capture my interest, the items in it are totally visual except for maybe two things. Then, the next day you open the app and it's crying, and you nurse it back and repeat. Every arbitrary "anniversary" you get a surprise party, which is cute but even that becomes so repetitive. All considered, this app is ridiculously repetitive and you quickly come to dread having to look after your pet. There is no sense of dynamic change over time, no real consequence for not taking care of it as it just "runs away" but even then Max can usually go fetch it back (Max is actually one of the most annoying mechanics). There is no aging, reproducing, dying or anything like that which helps other virtual pet games stay interesting. It's unfortunate, because visually and initially it was compelling.

Underwhelming. Interactions with your pet are limited to petting and feeding. Your pet doesn't grow or learn in any meaningful way, and there isn't any sense of progression other than saving and spending excess acorns on items in the shop, all of which are both pointless and way too expensive. You can buy bigger packs that store more fruit to feed your pet, but they're completely useless because fruit grows far more quickly than does your pet's appetite, leaving you little reason to save extra pieces. Hatch has some great art and cute moments, but there isn't anything to do or look forward to, no goals to work toward, and you will have seen everything the game has to show you within the first few minutes of playing.

Loads of fun.. HELP!!! Ajax is 1 today but the app crashes (first time this has EVER happened) when I click on his present. (Cake) idk what the cake looks like and I can't feed him anything. Can't wait to see the new are and Dino theme! Old review: I love my fugu Ajax so much. He loved hugging the toy a lot (even if I didn't have fun with it he did). Will there be a replacement you for him to hug on and cuddle? Old review: So I've had Ajax since the first few days this app was available. I take care of him EVERY DAY. I read that if I jump time zones or travel he will run away?!?! I've given so much time, effort, and flat out LOVE to Ajax. Please I hope someone reads this. I don't want to loose Ajax. I'd cry so much if I lost him. At this point he is like a pet.... I'd probably quit the app if he ran away. I don't want another fugu. I want to keep Ajax. I say all this because there is a chance I'm going to travel and I really want to bring him along with me not loose him. :(

It lives in your device... and is sooo cute!. A friend of mine had mentioned this to me, so I figured I'd check it out. Oh, man, the creators have done so well with this app! It keeps me (as a teenager) entertained for hours, and my younger siblings are entranced too. The text that moves the plot of the game along (eg tips, birthdays, etc) is well-paced yet it doesn't become the lean-on for the story. One thing that stands out to me in addition to the stellar graphics and simple features is how inventively and easily Hatch integrates into your device. The pet is adorable, yes, and of course you need to care for it- but it doesn't seem like a lot of other pet games since it loses the rushed, panicked sense of "Wait, did I feed my Fugu again?!" When you charge your device, the pet sleeps. If your device needs a charge, the pet will appear tired or cranky. There are no IAPs to the parents' relief and Facebook connectivity is optional. Overall, this is a great app for kids and adults alike. I'd definitely recommend this.

Cute, but a little boring. I got this app when it first came out as an early adopter. My fugu, Tama, is certainly cute, but it doesn't do much. It can learn tricks, but after four it's done, the training's over. There's only so many times you can through fruit into the distance. And then, for the rest of the time, you just feed it. I wish there were some mini games to play, that would help make the game interesting. Like, you can compete with other people's fugus in track races or fashion shows in order to create some kind of satisfaction and pride in your efforts to raise and train your fugu. I also wish there could be some temporary fur dye too, to make the fugu temporarily a different color for a while. Hoping for some more interesting updates soon.

There is no IAP. God people that write reviews on here can be stupid. That guy crying and giving a bad review because if IAP is one of said morons. There is NO IAP in this game. Both coins and stars are acquired in-game only and there is no option to purchase them with real money. That idiot reviewer should maybe actually look at the app page where there is no "in app purchases" in the menu before writing something so dumb. I'm wondering how they are even able to operate their phone. Anyway, great game. Cute art style, it's supposed to be a very basic V-Pet app so people looking for something overly complex should go elsewhere. Try "Clumsy Ninja", it has an excess of unnecessary activities that may appeal to you.

Why. Why did y’all mess with it. All the transitions are messed up now. It’s all rough and keeps freezing. Didn’t have this problem before.

Amazing. The app works great! There are so many different fugu combinations! The app has amazing art. The items fit in really well in the game, and all the bonding and training elements give it a nice touch. The only requests I would make is, being able to own more than 1 fugu ( maybe even baby fugus.) Those are my requests, otherwise the game is amazing and with more updates to come, this game is on the right track! Another request is a vacation mode, this would be used when your going somewhere where you wouldn't have your iPod for a long period of time, so your fugu won't runaway. The down side of this mode would be you would have to set it for a timer (a week for instance) and for that amount of time your fugu will be unable to run away but you cannot interact with it. Like it could be sleeping or something! Please add this!

Used to be great. I’m not sure what you guys did to it but now it is extremely glitchy. Ever since the new company bought it out there are several bad glitches in what used to be a great game. The fruit in the trees is placed off. You can’t scroll in the treat bag. There is so much more. I’m very sad and disappointed.

Love it, hate the subscription requirements. I don't wanna pay constantly just to play this game. I love it so much, but I always end up deleting the app when the limit is reached. It's very disheartening...

Absolutely adorable but.... It has so many random bugs and crashes. I am running an iPhone 5 on ios 7.0.4. The fruits can sometimes lag and won't grow normally. Just be blank and pop up fully grown. I put at least 3 gold stars and tons of fruitsinto the store (over night while closed)and none of them showed up in my total money immediately so I waited till it opened at 8 and still didn't show up. I've had the fruit bag get stuck and I have to shut off the game. I bought 2 rugs worth a total of 250 acorns and the game crashed and upon loading I lost both items and only had 138 acorns. I feel like we have been waiting so long for this, and what seems like such a simple game, that there shouldn't be this many bugs and crashes. Oh I also forgot to mention that my fruit got stuck in the corner of the screen and has now rotted and I am unable to remove it.

Plz read creators of hatch and others too.. Hey. I think this game is amazing like how cute the Fugus are, and Mac also by ur side. but I think that we should be able to do more with our Fugus. Like play mini games, or be able to have our Fugus go around and have a Fugu playground to meet other Fugus, and also have friend invites so u can even go into someone else's world of Fugus. Also u should be able to go inside your Fugus home and decorate it. There could be one store for outside like normal and one for inside the Fugus house. And last but not least, WEATHER. I think that the weather in the game should react to the weather in real life. That would be so cool. For example if it was raining, it would rain the the Fugus world to. I hope u consider my idea. Adorable And Frequent Updates. I have had this app for almost half of a year and I have consistently been enjoying it and having little to no issues with it on my iPhone 5 for the past several updates. While I have over a dozen virtual pet apps on my iPhone (as well as two tamagotchis), this is the only one I check in with daily or almost daily, and have continued to do so for so long. The art, music, animations, and overall aesthetic are all very polished, consistent, and well done. I will admit this pet app has fewer things to do with your pet fugu than many other virtual pets (no mini games; just fetch and various tricks to teach) but collecting all the decor and working to get the special fruits for new fugu appearance is really charming. The developer consistently listens to fans and works to fix bugs as well; while the updates can be a bit slow (at least compared to how so many apps do tons of tiny hot fixes, whereas this developer updates fixes in batches), they are consistent in quality and service.

Great app, I love my Fugu!. I'm really happy I purchased this app. It's beautifully animated and adorable. You'd be amazed at how attached you can get to this virtual pet. The premise is pretty simple but very well-executed. It would be great for young kids but I'm 20 and obsessed. One of the best things about Hatch are the frequent updates. At least every few months the developers add new items, animations and things to do. They seem devoted to improving an already great game. Also, a note to the developers: Please make Fugu plushies! I'd happily buy a likeness of my little Hamlet. :)

Great idea, but feels unfinished. I love what you have so far, it's executed nicely. However, it feels like this is just the beta version of the app--if there's Toys, there should be toys already (I realize the previous toy was revoked, but again, if things were squared away, it wouldn't have happened. bad business.) I appreciate that you take people's ideas into consideration, but isn't that what your design team is for? It's like you had a concept but didn't fully develop it and need our help. This is still Version .01 There should be more things to do with our Fugus, number one. Once you've trained/taken selfies, feeding & petting are the only daily things to do--my urge to open the app is less and less. I get that you don't want it to get too complex, but give us something else! Number two, there needs to be a preview of items or at least on your website pics of everything. Sometimes I've bought something only to realize I don't like it or it wasn't what I expected. Third, if I'm going to pay for IAP's (in addition to what I paid FOR the app) it better be to add something beyond the basic app itself. For example, mini games. I'd pay for that. But houses that don't add anything besides decor? No way. The "but you get a free red house" is a BS excuse. We should be able to buy them with star coins. This app will be great in a year or two, but right now, as far as I'm concerned, it's still in beta mode.

Overall: Cute & Fun!. I want to say that I really love this game! I have been playing it for a little over a year now! I think little Stormcloud is 393 days old now, haha. During that time the game has only crashed a few times, and sometimes the bag will get stuck open or a fruit will stay floating mid-air. A quick app close and reopen always fixed it! I cannot get over how adorable this app is, I adore my Fugu so much. My only complaint is with this newest update, I cannot buy the houses! I have tried daily and each time Max says there is an error. I find this really frustrating since my iTunes account has never had problems with transactions and I know I have money on my car. Fix this problem & I'll give Hatch 5 Stars.

Don't listen to the bad reviews!. They say that the fact they are 'early adapters' that the game doesn't work. Well, it might not work 100% but that's part of being an early adapter, helping the developer fix the bugs. I haven't had any problems with bugs at all so far. Seems like a very stable app. It's very cute with a age old concept that'll reel people in time and time again. However, the concept is almost too simple, and gets slightly boring after a week and no new surprises, I only keep playing to see if there are any more surprises. (My Fugu is 13 days old). The only bug I can find is the notebook, it's very hard to access and not easy to use.I will keep this app in anticipation for the developer making this game even better. It's a wonderful game already, it can only grt better!

Buggy AF. Cute concept, but really buggy. Buying items with coins brings up a developer menu, Max keeps repeating dialogue, coins never go above 3, the scroll sometimes doesn’t work, etc...

Cute but.... Lemme get this straight: they say that it's Not a game, just an app that is a pet. This is true. There isn't much to do, but it's like a real pet sorta. This app isn't for everyone. But I think it's worth a try.

Almost there.... Woderful app, but needs a bit more content for extended playability. Perhaps new locations, London, Tokyo, Las Vegas, etc. Purchase of items to decorate your pet, hats, scarves, gloves. Or even atmosphere changes, rain, snow, strong winds, etc. A very good start, but to make it last more content is essential. Finally, please adjust entry into the store. Far too frustrating when you are searching for items and accidentally enter the store. Especially when it is closed. Perhaps a button to enter the store. But having the owner pop-up every time to communicate the store is closed is downright annoying. Otherwise a good start to what will hopefully become a great app!! Good work!

Adorable but still needs features. I love the art and the cuteness of it all! The fugu is quite adorable. I could spend a lot of time on this. I'd spend more time on it if there was more to do, but right now there isn't. A tutorial would be nice on all the things I could do; a help and settings menu maybe? Also for me, it's hard to feed him. Fruit usually goes to the ground and it takes a few tries to get it into his mouth. Also the notepad is in a horrible spot considering control center is there also. A button to the side with the proposed menu would be better. More features please! More interactions! : D Otherwise, adorable and can't wait for an update. - a side note, on the Facebook messenger app, that's be cool if the fugu stickers were animated also!

Best app of the year!!!. So worth the $1.99! Buy it! I can see this being amazing within some updates. I think you be able to wash and brush your pet. But don't make the washing cheesy. I think you should be able to play with your pet. But not cheesy mini games. I mean like fetch or tug of war. They should also have toys you can buy for them. I think that there should be a feature where you blow in the mic and bubbles go on the screen and your fugu pops them. Keep adding blankets! Please let us access friends, so we can visit our friend's fugu. Also, you should be able to sell your items ( blankets). I mean I wanna get rid of some of my ugly ones! Lol! Still my favorite game though! Although, I think updates could make it freakin awesome! Buy it! Don't let the $2.00 blow you away! It's worth it!

Fix the bugs.. My fugu is stuck rocking back and forth, cheerily. Opened app, fugu was rocking in background behind a gift, Max popped up and speech bubble said he had news, but that I should feed fugu first and he moved off the screen, but not smoothly, like a hiccup on the screen as he left. Fugu kept rocking even when I waved fruit near it, opened present and tried to feed it again, and closed app and opened it again. Only response and time it stops rocking is when I poke it. Petting and squeezing its' cheeks doesn't change the repetitive rocking, but poking it does and causes it to pause and frown at me, then go back to rocking. Please fix, had this fugu for approximately 650 days and I do not want to lose it.

Make it rain!. I love this app and my little Sagi! He has white fur with brown eyes. What would make me love it even more is if we could give our fugu's daily baths. And maybe comb it's fur. You should also add accessories to the game like hats and glasses. It would also be really fun if he could listen to your voice and it could recognize commands like roll over, play dead, etc. You could also bring in weather to the app so it could rain and our fugu could play in the rain and sing. It would really add a lot to the app and would make the app a lot more fun to play.

Great, simple, relaxing. I really liked the game prior to the update. Mostly because the update messed up the placement of decorations on the trees and ground.

Cute!. We love this app in our household but wish there was more items in the shop to purchase for decorating the habitat. There always seems to be mats, food, another bag, a phone screen thing (which are pointless imo) and a house but rarely does a habitat decor pop up. It's gotten pretty ridiculous actually. 30 days into playing, over 700 stars and over 15k acorns and I can't buy anything!! It would be nice to decorate the ground and trees!! How about putting them on a cycling thing like the purchased items so we can have a bit more options per day. I've spent actual money on houses and that's about all I've been able to use. Sorry if this harsh but I'm just a bit annoyed. Also add a way so that we can see a sample of what the background or mat is before we buy.

Meh. Even after having to lose my special colored fugu from early adoptions by switching devices I'm still playing. I'm really disappointed that I had to lose him though. 1. ) Anyways, I think the ooga game is really boring and repetitive. I literally think the way that app was created was from the era of 3rd generation devices. It's awful and I hate that little doll because I can't even keep it after I delete the game. 2. ) I've heard people saying how the doll reappears everyday in the shop if you don't get it. That's awful!! I'm really hoping Hatch doesn't turn to advertising in the app and make you pay a ridiculous sum of money to get rid of them.. 3. ) I've always wondered how the heck is this app taking up so much space? I'm starting to wonder now... Adorable!. I was shocked when saw so much negative feedback from others!!! I adore my Fugu!! I named her Stitch and I play and care for her all the time. I even talked my husband and sister into getting this app! I love the artwork and all the different faces and sounds she makes. As long as you check in on your pet a few times through the day it should stay happy with no worries of it running away. Since you decide the gender of your pet after it has hatched I think it would be nice if Max had different style bows for girl fugus and maybe a hat or something like that for boy fugus. I think actual outfits is too much, but some accessories so you can personalize your pet would be nice. Thanks and keep up the good work!!

To anyone who does not have Hatch you should DOWNLOAD THE GAME RIGHT NOW!!! Go on, don't keep reading just go download it. But anyways to the developers, the only thing that I wish you guys could add was that we can have multiple Fugus. I love my one, but having two or even three??? YAY!! It would be so much fun. I hope you guys put that into consideration. But all in all this game is GREAT. Thanks a ton!!!

Rebajean. I love this app!! It is too cute! My only suggestion would be that it would be great to be able to interact and play with toys. Maybe bathe or clean our pets. I also accidentally passed the naming stage and now I can't seem to change that.. I also wish it was easier to gain stars or at least be able to trade acorns for stars. I'm an impatient person and if things don't move along I may not keep this app. But I love the sounds it makes, and I love how sweet they are! It would be nice to interact with others or maybe have more than one!!

Very cute!. Much more animated and colorful than the virtual pets who loved on oversized key chains and beeped at you in the 90's, Hatch is still in the early stages. Developers are active in social media, answering questions, collecting bugs and hinting about the future. There is not a whole lot to do just now: feed and clean up after your pet, buy toys, bud trust and stock up on acorns and star coins. Despite the simplicity of the current game, it is beautifully animated and provides a solid base for more features promised in future updates. 5 stars for the start, hope to see more content soon!

Absolutely Thrilled!. I cannot get off my phone because of this app. It is absolutely amazing! I love the graphics, and I love the fugu. This is the app I was waiting for, since I don't have a real pet of my own. I am very happy with this app! Great work, Impending! I know that you probably get a lot of these, but I have some great ideas to add to this game. If these ideas aren't something you want, then you don't have to add them in the future updates. 1. Maybe we could bathe our fugu. . . or at least maybe play with them. Or maybe that is too mainstream? Lol. 2. I have my younger brother playing this game now, and he thought that other fugu could maybe visit each other, send each other gifts, and become friends! I honestly think that is a great idea coming from my 8 year old brother. 3. I love the new backgrounds, and they actually inspired me. There should be backgrounds that you can actually put on in the hatch game! Like instead of all the trees in the background, maybe we can put a mountain background, city, clouds, etc. I hope maybe you can add these, if not that's okay. Oh, and one more thing about the bags. It's kind of annoying because they cost so much, and they hold so little. But that's is only minor. Love the game, love my fugu, and I love the idea. Keep it up!

Recently, my fugu is unusual.. I've cared for Daru faithfully for over 45 days. I feed him and clean his crap, and I usually even buy him new stuff from the shop every 2-3 days. He loves me and every time I pop in to see him, he gives me two presents. I admit he's spoiled me to have come to expect those, even if they're just acorns or star coins to spend on him. But, lately, even though he's as friendly and loving as ever, and I still do everything like I always have before, one of those presents is always -- ALWAYS -- a giant steaming pile of fugu feces. Has he developed a new sense of humor? (I don't like it.) Does he think I need it? (I don't.) Is he being passive aggressive? (And where did he learn THAT, Mr Daru? It wasn't from me.) Or is it yet another bug I just have to put up with if I want a virtual fugu all my very own?) It's like the point in a relationship where you have to decide "whether you really want to stay with a lazy round blob that does nothing all day, then sends me a message saying he has a gift for me (which really means to come feed him because he's hungry)... Only to get there and see a pile of crap waiting for you. Actually, it's exactly like that.

I like the concept, but needs more. Really, all you do is feed your pet, clean up its poo, and buy rugs for it. Obviously, there is more to real life pets than this. You have to clean it, play with it, keep it healthy, and a bunch of other stuff. This is boring! I've had my fugu run away twice - the first it came back, the second it didn't. Really, I can't be around every fricking minute of the day to take care of it. The presents that you get from it are mostly food. Instead of running away, they should have its trust go down, or nothing at all. People go to work and stuff. Another thing is that there is no way to keep track of what "level" you're on, or rather how many times the circle of flowers have changed purple. There's not enough, it said there were tricks, but I never got them. You have to pay for the camera, which is nuts. You should also play games with it like bathing it, I can't believe you can't wash it. Recently my fugu was asleep, so that is probably what made it run away, other people have been having trouble with that too. When I picked the color of the fugu, there was no purple. Really? You have pink instead. Pink is awful. Make purple. And there should be like breeding too, or something. Bottom line is, there needs to be more features. And something to do about your fugu running away.

Great app. Fun for all ages, can get boring at times tho.

Unexpectedly Endearing! ❤. I'm usually not a paid-app person, but the art in this app captivated me enough to buy the app. I can honestly say I use Hatch! more than any other app I've paid for. Everything about the pet in the app (a "fugu") is adorable, from its appearance, to its personality, to the adorable little sound it makes. I found myself unable to leave my little fugu alone for long, something which blindsided me. If you loved Tamagotchi, then you'll love this, because you can pet it and have it make faces, while decorating the background and playing with your fugu. There are some minor glitches, but the app's quality artwork and animation make it worth the money!

Uh-oh!. Heya Max, I see your up to some great stuff!! My Fugu Rêveur and I really appreciate all your hard work! I wanted to let you know, though, there's been a couple problems you might wanna take a look at. Your prices in the shop for the new Fugu homes........... Aren't there! It shows a little dollar icon, but no number, and for some reason when you tell me the price there's nothing!! Just a blank space! What's more, I'm worried your Paypal app isn't working. Does it go through the iTunes store? Because I'm connected to the internet, and my Apple ID is connected to an active card with money, but it won't let me pay you! Oh no!! :c I haven't found an eggfruit, yet, but I'll let you know when I do! The new Fugu home you gave me is super cute though, even if I can't seem to work out for sure how to get Rêveur in or out of it, haha. I hope you can get that other stuff sorted soon, and good luck with your Pokémon cards!!
