Finally got to it. I've had this game sitting so long in my games folder and to finally play it has been a joy. That last battle on Master was hell and I'm glad I got past it and can cross another game off my list that I ignored for too long.

iOS 11 Compatibility Woes. I’m rating this 5 stars but with a big old caveat and an even bigger plea; RocketCat I beg of you, please update this game to be compatible with iOS 11! I paid full price for this game 4 years ago and would pay full price again to have it iOS compatible. Please RocketCat; can you make my dreams of completing this game come true?

I love this game!!!!!. I've had this gem of a game permanently living on my iPod for a log time now, and considering how much I love it I figure it's high time for a little ol' review. While the gameplay aspects of the game are nowhere near the level of that of Wayward Souls, I would have to say that the story is probably better. While WS has an engaging story that's unraveled between 6 different characters with each one having their own story, I think the more classically linear story of Mage Gauntlet feels a bit more substantial. Mostly due to the fact that you really need to beat the entire game with all the characters in WS to get the full story, a heroic feat that I've yet to accomplish which may take many more years of practice, and while the story line in Wayward Souls is still incredibly good, it's the unrivaled gameplay that truly shines. That's not to say that Mage Gauntlet doesn't have great gameplay because indeed it does. I can lose hours and hours playing this game because it's just such an amazing joy to play!!! Wayward Souls is better though lol...LOVE 'EM BOTH!!!

Excellent game. Great great game. The makers behind this game should be applauded. The controls are excellent, the graphics are awesome, the combat the enemies the humor the challenges the bosses THE LORE! Everything is perfectly how it should be. Now onto wayward!!!

A BIG FAVOR.... Hello rocketcat games, I am here to inform you what you must have already heard at least a million times before, I would love multiplayer support, and this is the time to strike guys. This is the time when people have known about your game and love it (such as me). If you make a big content update now, this app will blow up again, to the point where it could become as popular as punch quest has. Just think about it rocketcat games, it would make the game finally complete. And make it easily one of the best apps on the App Store. I would go on to say how good this game is, but whoever is reading this review, you have to understand that this game is incredible, I have all the triple a titles and a million more, this is on my top 5 list, perhaps even top 3. THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES IT NOT NUMBER ONE ON MY LIST IS THAT I BEAT THE GAME, SO I HAVE NOTHING TO DO ANYMORE, MULTIPLAYER PLEASE.

Rocketcat forever!!!. I swear, you guys are the best mobile developers out there. Supercell and their stupid Clash of Clans trashpile have nothing on the masterpieces that you weave. This game is great, awesome, funny and spooky. Wayward Souls is downright magnificent. We need more dungeons in that game!

To Beautiful To Go. Beautiful honestly. I love this style of art and love they storyline. It’s so well done! I’ve been looking the App Store for another one of these games and I’ve just been unsuccessful. It’s one of a kind and I have no complaints whatsoever. But I never finished the game. I stopped playing this for a while and was so disappointed to find that the recent software update had made this game unavailable. I want to finish the game so bad and now that I can’t play I realize how much I love and miss this game! I really wish it could be compatible with my iPad again and if it ever does, I with gladly play it again even if I have to start over. I will by the in app purchases again and replay the game this time from start to finish. I really hope RocketCat reads this and sees how much I love this game. Thank you.

Good game but locked behind a subscription. I played the 10 or so minutes free that is allowed to sample it. It felt and looked so fun I wanted more, however there is no way to buy the game one time or to play in some kind of ad mode. I’m ok paying for the game, but I don’t like paying monthly subscriptions. If they offer a way to buy the game I’ll be super eager to buy it and play it all the way through. P.s. I must thank game club for bringing this game back however, apparently the game became almost abandoned, I also really liked being able to try some of the game first before having to commit to a subscription, I just want some alternative way to purchase the game (even 4.99 to permanently have access to this game alone would probably be ok for me) but I know they’re running a business so you’ll need to figure for yourself if a subscription is worth it for you. For a subscription you get their whole library for the first month free then 4.99 after that for access to everything. Subscriptions just aren’t something I want to do right now.

Quite boring.. This game does some things well, like the spells and story. But it's so repetitive I had to stop playing. Level designs were pretty much all the same. All you do is make your way through a maze like level with tons of annoyingly simple enemies. There is tons of breakables with no collectibles. No puzzles. It's like running around a poorly designed Zelda overworld with only enemies and elixer potions.

Not bad. I honestly find this game fun, although there is one major problem. I bought this game because I thought I could use spells and defeat bosses. You have created wonderful bosses, although the magic content lacks. It is mostly Melee combat, not as much magic. I do recommend buying this game, though! The spells are cool and the controls are nice and swift.

Great! Except.... This game is flat out AMAZING! The controls are great, storyline is interesting, new monsters are presented every level, and when you die, it's your fault, not the games. The only problem I have with this game is a really annoying bug. Whenever I equip a sword, it disappears. My game registers that I have it and I can use it, but if I want to use another sword my equipped one is deleted.

Fun action game!. This game is a load of fun! It's really challenging. As you play, you'll learn enemy patterns and you get better based off your own personal skill, though there is a little bit of leveling mechanics too. The touch controls are surprisingly really good, but I still really wish there was game controller support.

Two words: Heck Yea!. This game os my favorite game on ios and I play it all the time. When I first got it, I played it for HOURS. It would also be cool if this game had a sequel. You should do that RocketCat Games! Also you play as a girl! Awesome!

Better than the rest. Rocket cat studio hit it out of the park with this one. I've replayed it 5 times since it came out. Here's a thought: if you're an action rpg fan of games like Zelda, get this game. Play it. And when the industry won't make a game like Link to the Past and Nintendo is too stupid to figure out how to copy square enix publishing old games, just REPLAY THIS!!!

Why Isn't This Better Known!?. This game is stellar. The characters (I love Lexi!), the art, the enemies, the gameplay... Everything in this game rocks. Get it and play it and love it, and check out other games by these guys because they're all so good.

An underrated gem.. This game is awesome. It's a blend of doom like exploration of levels, beat me up like segments and an rpg progression system. It ends in to be continued(if you beat master mode) and a sequel would be well appreciated. It's world is great and I like how the lore is distributed through diary entries. Some are well hidden requiring you to explore. There are also hidden things in certain levels such as giant vegetables in a garden or a photo of a pre-death vataneba. If I had to complain about something it's that hats come very rarely and sometimes you get hats you already have. And for once doc isn't blatantly ripped from a full game and charged separately. The doc is simply cosmetic or statistic changes as well as a buff or two. Overall a great game that unfortunately no one knows about and may never know about. Meaning this game might not have a sequel. Either way this game is a true masterpiece.

I also fell for high reviews. Play the first level and you've played the whole game. Combat mechanics do not change. Armor/gear does nothing. The monsters end level are only slightly more difficult than first level. Replaying zones for max stars yield nothing except a hat (which does nothing except change avatar look). So what's the point? It's a very superficial game and I regret my purchase.

Do not buy.. Where to start? If you are a true RPG fan, do not buy this game. I fell for the excellent reviews. If you like games like Diablo, don't buy this. It's extremely easy. I don't mind simple graphics. There are no skills to level up and nothing against which to gauge your strength. The loot is barely random and the weapons/hats/armor don't even have stats. Some affect abilities but there is no armor level. The game is linear but re-playing an area yields nothing (except maybe a new hat which does nothing). Waste of money.

Two words to describe this game: Hell Yeah. I'm so happy with this game! It gives you the feel of the old Zelda games or star tropics almost BUT YOU'RE A GIRL AND THATS MY FAVORITE PART. This game is purely addicting and I can't stop playing. It's challenging and also kinda funny! One guy I spoke to was angry I "broke in" to his house and he accused me of breaking in to steal is tiny hat! :') Other than the silly perks of the dialogue, this game is adventurous and amazing. You can open different treasure chests and find clothes,rings,masks,etc and each have a certain magic to them and some are just odd but you can equip them or send them to wardrobe. This is definitely worth the money! I'm about to go buy the other game made by the same designers soon!

iOS 11 update. So when I downloaded this game on my phone, I got so far then one day it broke and I thought oh okay I’ll be able to get it on my iPad so when I got my iPad for my 9th bday I was gonna go download it but THEN it said “the developer need to update it so it can work with iOs 11” so I was really upset, so if you can update it I’ll give a better review 😕 Thank you, 🙂

Amazing game!. Updated review! Game is playable again!!!!!!!!! Will give that extra star when the game gets controller support. Due to a condition with my hands. It’s difficult to use touch screen controls.

"Completely my favorite game on the App Store". This is my favorite app/game. It's beautiful and detailed. The story is the best I've seen in almost any game ever. The characterization is amazing and Lexi is a funny interesting character. Rocketcat went with a bold choice to make the only character a girl but it worked out perfectly. The game is an amazing mix of funny, difficult, and serious. There seems to be an almost endless amount of content with all the hats and achievements. Im really excited for there to be more sequels to this game also, wayward souls is amazing also, I really don't know why you need to read this review when you can be playing a much better game!

Simply Amazing. This game is by far my favorite game other than SWTOR but that is a hard level to reach. Is it just me or is Gregor AWEOME lol. I love the storyline and the banter between the bosses and Lexi, specifically Gregor in his no-hurt armor which actually made me lol. Also the notes and journals left around for us to find were a nice touch. My favorite was probably the ashen cult journal about the guy after he started throwing fireballs at "impy" hahaha. Now for the actual game... Amazing... That's pretty much all I can say. I love the controls, the weapons, the armor, the trinkets, and the pets(my little slime follows me everywhere) this game is worth the money. Now, if you'll excuse me, I am going to go finish master mode and find the extended story:) Oh! P.S. Everyone wants a part 2, just saying

Trial. I dislike how you only get 10 minutes before you have to start a trial in the club. I would have liked to have taken the game further. May have been willing to spend maybe 99 cents or something for the game but not willing to only have a trial only and then have to purchase a membership.

Excellent Game!. I've never written an app review before but this game deserves it! Absolutely zero flaws and the story line and gameplay are wonderfully made. Yes, challenging, but what fun would it be without a little bit of failing and trying again? Well worth the $2.99!

Am I missing something here?. So after reading all of the crazy great reviews I decided to try it out for myself. Played for the last 2 days on and off and am completely underwhelmed. You smack a creature, you dash you cast a spell over and over and over again. No variation, item pick ups don't have any real impact on anything, story is linear. Wth!?

Good game, but.... Loved this game as a kid, absolutely loved it and I would play it for hours on end. I remembered it today and thought I might give it a try and I wasn’t even able to play for more than 10 minutes because of “game club” which I haven’t even heard of up until now, still a good game in my opinion but it’s upsetting I have to pay to play the rest of it.

Unmatched in terms of... Everything.. I forgot how much I paid for this app, but I would most likely pay 7, 8$ for it now. Combat system : Great. Controls : Great. Story : Spectacular. Just buy it. Oh, also, the dev. Team is 3 people working from their homes with little to no experience, and they made one of the best apps on the app store. Just, a big, fat, LOL.

Glad to see it back up. When this game was lost to apples update I was super sad. Loved this game back then, lots of little Easter eggs to find and extremely fun and am super glad to see it back up. Since I already own the game I don’t really need to deal with the subscription service but whatever they charge it’s well worth it. Amazing game.

Game club is evil. Game club has snuck in and collected a semi-large group of games and RUINED THEM. This is a really good game but I’m not paying a monthly fee for it. Apple Arcade gets the best of the best. It’s worth 5 dollars a month. I wouldn’t pay a dollar a month for this of games. Most of which are pushing 6-8 years old. I was lucky enough to buy hook worlds before game club. I played mage gauntlet back when jailbreaking your iPhone was still easy and fun. I guess that’s what I get for not buying it then. So sorry game club, you’re not for me. I’d rate it negative stars if I could. -25 stars..

Best Game Ever!. This app is phenomenal! The graphics are perfect for this type of game and the controls are great. The levels are challenging and there is plenty of weapons, robes and accessories to collect. I just wish there was more levels! I finished the game in a about 4 days but I really enjoyed it. I am yet to play with master mode but I am sure it is great. Just more places and levels to explore would make this game the best it can be. I am also interested in Wayward Souls, but I am yet to buy it because it is $7. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a cool RPG style game!

Finally!. This game used to be amazing, but got stuck behind a lack of a team willing to support its updates. Now, Gameclub has taken over, and it's back!

Quite enjoyable, but new controller support needs work. This was the first Rocketcat game I’d ever bought, and it is a polished and fun RPG. However, the new Game Club controller support is NOT implemented well. I used it with my Xbox S controller, and while it technically works, it is quite limited (for instance, you can bring up menus, but not back out of them). I hope another round of updates will significantly improve the controller support, because right now it isn’t worth using. Still a good game!

Great Game!. At first the game starts to get repetitive and too easy, but then the developers do a great job of differentiating enemy's and the way they attack! Also the different types of magic you get is great! They don't take the game too seriously so it makes it fun...especially with the different types of equipment and weapons.

Fantastic game. Looks great on iPad. I'm about 5 stages in and it's got perfect controls, a great look and awesome challenging gameplay too. Really liking this and its well worth the cheap price they're charging. Buy this. Superb iOS action rpg

Amazing. Rocketcat never fails to provide amazing games and this is no exception. The combat it very fun and challenging, as you must really try to avoid damage as hearts are quite limited. The way the spells work too it really neat as you do not simply choose a spell and level it but will pick up random ones through each level which can only be send once so you must use them carefully. There is plenty of swords, armors, helmets, trinkets, pets and of course hats to keep you loot hunting long after you've beaten the story. The graphics and music for the game are impressive to, seriously pick this game up now. One slight problem I have is that the items in the IAP store are a bit too expensive but it's Rocketcat so I'll buy them anyways :)

Great rpg. This game is great, my only complaint is that the loops of music are too short, which is slightly annoying when the track stops and then starts from the beginning again.

Please fix crash. Giving this five stars although when you are hit with fireball or bone it crashes. Despite this, this is still an extremely enjoyable game.

Amazing. Simply an amazing game. I love the pixelated graphics, and the storyline. Fighting monsters is intuitive and responsive, and each segment provides different monsters and boss fight. Please make a sequel!

Brilliant!. Classic RPG style gameplay perfected. Occasionally funny as well, which was a nice surprise.

An engaging adventure. Simple controls, a beautifully retro look, nice sounds, immersive story and some very engaging characters makes it easy to get addicted to this game. You can really sympathise for the characters in this and the story always leaves you wanting to know what will happen next. A great game for everyone and enough levels and challenge to be worth the price. The game is innovative in it's own creative way and never does it feel like you need to spend extra cash to help you get further. I love every bit and pixel of this game.

Brilliant!. An absolutely amazing Action RPG/Adventure in the likes of old classics like Zelda and Secret of Mana. A must try even for those who aren't typically fans of RPG's.

Great game. Great game. It's challenging and really captures the 16 bit feel. It's funny and quite self aware. The only bad thing I can say is that the dialog has a few minor grammatical errors.

16-bit action RPG goodness. More brilliance from Rocketcat, an action RPG in the mould of the classics of the 16-bit era. Plenty of collectibles and a decent challenge. Like the hook trilogy before it, MG boasts charming pixel art graphics and a quirky sense of humour. HEAPS of gaming here for the paltry sum of $2. Buy it.

Great game. An awesome throwback to the old action rpg SNES days, and I like how it even makes fun of those games, like smashing a thousand barrels or doing pointless fetch quests, I also like the play style, all in all a good a good game

I have done many reviews but this is one of the few games that I rate 5/5 the story line has humor the range of items is vast and there is no boring tutorials and search quests in this game it is highly addictive and the combat is fun this is a real must have for anyone especially retro gamers I HIGHLY suggest buying

Return to form. I am a huge fan of HOOK CHAMP, but their last two releases have been less impressive. This is a fantastic return to form. This is the first game I've played on iOS with virtual controls that don't make me cry. Great job Rocketcat!

Great old school RPG. Controls are great. A lot of focus on combat which doesn't seem to get overwhelming. A great flashback to the old SNES RPG classic. Loving it.

Great game. This game is a classic RPG. Certainly with buying.

Repetitious and an unresolved storyline. The games not bad - its fast-paced and has quite a humorous storyline. It is, however, very repetitive: the bosses and minions were pretty much the same with only a few slight changes from level to level. The storyline was also left very unresolved. Why did Lexi have that affliction? What was the deal with the glove? What is the deal with Whitebeard's darker side - he was started to appear sinister then just ended up being selfish and there was no explanation for his sinister actions.

Quality. Excellent touch screen controls, great humor, engaging spells. Pokes fun at its predecessors in the genre while doing them homage. Beautiful to look at, listen to and play.

Great!. Works fine on my old iPod Touch 2nd Generation!

Epic Game!. Overall, a really great game, but the lack of health can get very irritating. The "subtle" references were quite amusing.

The Update. This game has got to be the best mobile game I have ever played and is certainly one of the best games I have played ever. I have completed it twice when I was a child and would love to complete it again and again and again. But I can’t because of the compatibility. I cannot express with words and you cannot fathom with all of the intelligence and brain - space in the world how happy I will be if you update this just so we can play it again. Please RocketCat. For all of us.

Well worth it. A few hours into it and I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface of the blades, robes and especially hats. The stats and crits are beautifully simple, yet intricate. Hilarious dialogue, secrets, achievements and more hats than Robin Walker.

One of the best titles on IOS. This is a must play for anyone who,likes fantasy based games. One of the best games I’ve played of this kind on iOS.

Where are the puzzles?. It's a fun enough hack n' slash with nice 16-bit style graphics, but where are the puzzles that were the hallmark of RPGs of that era? This game is just combat, which gets repetitive even with the good variety of spells.

Amazing!. Definitely download this game, its worth every penny. The games really long but the story keeps you interested. Oh and if you think the game is going to be easy... Think again, its hard when it needs to be. Very intense rpg game Buy this !

Gameclub ruins this game. The game itself is great but unfortunately gameclub interrupts your experience with constant ads and annoying reminders on top of that the game club icon is always on screen when playing so I have to turn airplane mode on so it’ll go away

SNES lives again... On my phone.. A very good throwback to Super Nintendo! Even plays like a SNES game. It's jokes and jabs at current video game content- get quests, achievements, etc are funny too. Lots if fun cosmetic things- so many hats! Love this game. Wish I had a booklet reminiscent of the ones for Nintendo games with all the mire realistic anime concept art.

Wow ;). Great game rocketcat, love the bit feel. I really think that the fact that your character changes their appearance as you change items is amazing, as most RPG games for the iOS system don't do that. Buy this game, it takes a while, has a really good storyline, and you'll love it.

Another rocketcat Classic. Rocketcat games does it again! A short but sweet hit with great gameplay, amazing soundtrack and totally engaging story, simple but sweet. Complaints? The story bits are "secrets" that are really easy to find. The music loops are too short - so great I wish they were longer! RC games are buy on sight, just buy them you won't regret.

May look like the other ones, but way better. This one may look like ur typical grinding rpg, but i was happily suprised to find it not! Very polished, not a single crash, humour and the items arent just for show and boost 35% of this or 10% of that (although some do) alot of the items have some sick perks as well. I definitely reccomend this game to anyone who likes the legend of zelda and even those who are new to rpgs give this one a try its well worth it! Only thing to add is maybe like a co-op or something but thats just a suggestion

Great Game!. Very nice graphics, very good controls and excellent music... Legend of zelda meet secret of mana kind of play. It is really well made and addictive! A must have!

Some future update ideas. This game is amazing and I've almost beaten it but there are a few ideas I have that would make the game so much better 1. Make the hats give abilities they don't have to be big but like 1% extra critical for magic or something 2. Make the "fairy" (Navi) pet be useful the gnome sometimes says hey! Listen! But navi should say that and you should be able to click her and get her to tell you about an enemy or just give you general advice about a level enemy or boss 3. Let the player customize gnomey with the hats and cloths they have collected in game just he doesn't get power ups 4. Have a pet that attacks enemy's it doesn't have to do tons of damage just enough to allow the player to finish a level without getting frustrated because he/she can't defeat an enemy or group of enemy's Thanks for reading my comment and I hope you take in some of my suggestions. :)

Great:). Great game nice gameplay good controls but would appreciate if there was a dialog choice so you can defuse a problem and create allies. Also more stats such as: defense, constitution, and agility.I'd also like if once you level up say 10 times you get a new spell to use, and a new spell slot.and maybe if the robes not only contribute to spells but stats also and can hats to. Great game, great time waster but in the next update it would be great for that.

Awesome Game, Lacks Serious Depth. I am rating this 5 stars because I wholeheartedly believe that it deserves all 5, and my review and suggestions is purely me nit-picking; I would improve this game by adding more spells, with perhaps more variety to the types of spells available. I would add a skill tree into which you would spend skill points, earned every level. The energy bar could be used as a sort of mana pool which you would use to fuel the spells. It feels like the use of ability points which are earned each level is completely useless; as a player, you don't seem to notice the minor differences incurred by each subsequent upgrade to the 3 ability pools. I like the balance that was maintained with all of the weapons and equipment, but I feel like the equipment and weapons have become slightly boring because of the balance. To me, uniqueness is cool and having a certain armor or weapon that does something really unique is what makes me feel like I have something special. The trinkets do a very good job of capturing the unique feel of each ring or necklace. Overall, I think this is an excellent game, as are almost all RocketCat games. It is evident that careful planning went into the creation of this game because of how polished and balanced it is. Unfortunately, some of the personality of the game mechanics is lost with the balancing of the weapons and equipment. This minor gripe is more than made up for by the funny storyline and cool hidden rooms that contain even more lore. Bottom line: Buy this game. You won't regret it. I've spent many hours in it and have only made it about 80% of the way through.

IAP. A little disappointed that there are IAPs in this game, as it's a pay title. Otherwise, stellar.

Good game. I like it, fun & easy to play. Most rpg try to hard, but this one mixes it up with comedy & quick tactical boss battles. Get this one you won't regret it!

Seriously repetitive. Not that much depth, really poor combat design, abysmal missions. Just wasn't worth the price.

Best iOS RPG. I've played a lot of RPGs on iOS and this is by far the best. No grind, great writing, lots of control options. Definitely a 5 star game!

Purchases are not through App Store. Game does purchases outsided of App Store need to be correct and two either the game is free to play or have to pay a subscription you can’t do a free game on the App Store and your subscription is outside the store or better yet remove your apps off the store

Those days epitomize my childhood, so this game is pure nostalgic goodness for me. I HIGHLY recommend this game to everyone! Regardless of what you played as a kid, or if you are still one now, this game needs to be played. It's what gaming is all about. (note to devs: please consider adding iPod 5 screen support)

So shallow a toddler couldn't drown.. Don't be fooled by the charming retro graphics or comparisons to Zelda. This game is INCREDIBLY shallow. There's a very light levelling system that barely affects combat apart from slightly increasing your chances for critical hits, the different gear you acquire does pretty much the same thing, there isn't even a currency system, there aren't items to use, and the story is just laughably poorly written. Very disappointed I actually spent three bucks on this game.

Mage smasher!. This game is overly addictive add a story line plus pets hats and change of clothing and you have yourself one heck of a party. Well worth the money spent :) EDIT: Please update this game to work with iOS 11, I’d love to be able to play again!

Simple and fun. Difficulty ramps up nicely. The best part is no penalty (other than your time) for dying, so you can choose to play carefully or aggressively as the mood strikes you.

Buy this game. Now.. As far as iOS games go, it doesn't get better than this. It's basically a Secret of Mana clone gameplay wise, and frankly, it plays just as good. Controls work great. Story, while predictable, is stellar. Levelling up process is a bit lacking, but the overall strength of the game greatly outweighs that. It is short too. Probably a 5 hour game. But it has a ng+ mode and a ton of collectables to extend replay value. All in all, a stellar must own game for iOS. Buy it. Now.

Great ARPG. Controls are pretty solid. Combat is smooth. Dialog is funny. Random magic spells keeps things random. All around great game.

Subscription based... locked content...?. Subscription based or you wont be able to enjoy the full game... content will be limited and considered a trial MAJOR TURN OFF... if you want people to download it be upfront. If the game looked good enough would’ve paid to download it... but yikes no thanks uninstalling.

Very misleading. New technique of making it seem like Game Center subscription based games are free with in app purchases but the in app purchase is that you must subscribe to Game Center. Tricky and deceptive.

Formerly a must buy. When you buy games from a company that refuses to do sales you expect them to at least keep their games updated and working. Give me a 64 bit update and I’ll happily restore the 5 star review for this great game.

Monthly payment trash. You get to play 10 my bytes for free and then you have to pay 5 bucks a month. Screw that.

Through master mode!. I loved your game so much I beat it. and the end was so compelling it really makes me want to play master mode. (retribution)

Needs update for iOS 11. Would rate higher but due to iOS 11 update I can no longer play this game. It is(was) a great game but with the latest iOS 11 update it has rendered this game as not even being able to open up at all.

Swell SNES style action adventure. Its like an old school SNES action adventure game with a little RPG element. Very funny too. Good writing.

The gameplay is uneventful, the storyline is uninspiring, the graphics are below average (even for a 8 bit game), and this company has the gall to offer micro transactions .... even after a game purchase. I WOULD RATHER HAVE MY MONEY BACK!!! Delete this garbage from my phone.

Fun game, but what the heck?. 2 tokens every 9 hours. I’m sorry, but what’s the point of having a game if you only get to play it in 10 minute increments? You can also subscribe to Gameclub, but 5 dollars a month isn’t worth it for all Gameclub’s video games, this coming from a person who plays games 24/7.

Doesnt work with IOS 11.. Love this game. Played it on and off for years. Went to play it some today and couldnt. After iOS11, you cant start it anymore and the developer doesnt seem to care. So I will be sure to not care about the developer and any of their future games in return.

Mask of shadows. Awesome game! I love this game, but unfortunately I can't give it five stars because every time I teleport, the game crashes. Fix this and you have a five star game.

So good it needs a sequel!. An excellent dungeon crawler! The 16 bit graphics and quirky story make it feel like an old-school Zelda.

Decent but.... In my opinion secret of mana blows this game out of the water. Som came out on the snes in 1993 and on iOS in 2010 check it out.

Can haz refund?.. Saw it had been updated and hoped it might begin to be worth the money I spent on it... Nope, still a terribad game that I am horrified to say I own on the App Store. I had a good description if all the pros in my previous review, but to sum up, its a flat game with a flat story and flat mechanics and it all just... Falls flat.
