Some potential. This app has a very creative format with some seldom opportunities for the flying adventure. If only there were no high score system, no deaths and no controls, then this could just be a flying thrill of excitement.

It's missing something.... Imagine this, your floating down when you see something cool, you want to go check it out but you pass it, and you don't have enough power to get back up, what if you could attach a rope to the wall and use momentum to swing back up, you should add ropes! It would truly add to the expierience of floating around and having fun!

Woah Dude. An entrancing, meditative "game" perfect for toying with during altered moods. A must have for psychonauts.

Hidden Gem. To tell the truth, my purchase of this app was a complete accident. After acquiring this game in a rather unorthodox way and testing it out, I realized that this is as close as it comes to love at first sight (or first play). If you're unsure about getting the game, just know that its graphics, adjustable sensitivity, and evoking drive are worth it.

Oh my gosh so insanely. Cooool and fun once you get the hang of it. It's amazing. So rich and beautiful and fun and interesting. And yes trippyy. I am addicted to this game. It's so absolutely unique and the sounds are incredible too. Even the menu is transfixing. Wonderful game!!!

Pretty but pointless. I'm not sure what game the reviewers were playing but I don't think it was this one. Controls are rubbish, the music stinks, and the whole thing is pointless.

Nothing like it. The closest I can come to describing this is saying it gave me back the feeling I had way back when I played Descent for the first time, only the desire to shoot things has been replaced by a pure sense of innocent wonder. It also reminds me a little bit of Flower, only more freeform. If you’re lucky enough to be able to run this on the latest generation of iThings, it’s so smooth it’s like an extension of your body - or mind.

Not very compelling. I like weird abstract games with style and this is one of those, but there's just not enough game here. It's more of an experience, and one that is probably enhanced by "certain substances". Even then, I just want to passively watch my lava lamp, not have to work at it :-/

Not worth it. When I purchased this game, I was expecting an experience that of the Steam game Proteus, but, even before buying it I read the description which was vague and was overjoyed thinking that Proteus came to the Ipad, after buying, I quickly found that this game is an utter piece of #%^] a definite don't buy!

Fabulous. Really fun, addicting, and simple. But the best thing about it is that the people who made it obviously weren't doing it just for the money. It's one of the only fun apps that doesn't kill you with the in app purchases.

I recommend it. As others have said in their reviews, well worth the money. It's a small thing, but I feel that more work needs to be done on the music sequencer/composer. What I would like to see edited are the little particles, they're hard to tap on, please make them a little larger. Also, you need more sound styles, it sounds like 80's techno-pop. Maybe find a way to add notes that are held for more than one beat. The game itself is fantastic.

Easily one of the best games on iOS. This game takes a second to get the hang of, however don't let that stop you from trying to get better. This is probably one of the most fun flying games I've played. If the author would open up the world a small bit and add in some baddies to shoot at, it would be the best Asteroids sequel, ever. However that game would not be Melodive, it would become a new game. So I guess I'm really asking for a new game. How about it?

More to it than you'd think. This might actually be my favorite iPad game. hands down. Just try it. But the thing is, you have to UNDERSTAND the game to like it.

Wonderful Trippyness. This app is amazing! 5 stars! Yes, the controls take time to get used to but once you get a feel for them, BOOM! You can go wherever you want! The key is to only tap the boost. Too much boost sends you spinning; too little and you have no control at all. The graphics are wonderfully trippy and the music is insane! And the best part is that everything is customizable! I keep mine on 0 gravity because i prefer not to struggle against a force, instead I can simply whip around the cloud-like islands without a care in the world. Overall, one of the best games on the app store! LOVE IT!!!

amazing game. it's 2016 and I've had this game for years. this game is great and it was made so long ago. it's hard to get used to at first but once you get the hang of it, it's crazy... especially with headphones. I'm just curious as to what happened to the dev... never made a new game or anything

Mellow like a mushroom. Mushroom trip that is. Not that I'd condone that. But if you want the next best thing this app is it. (Not to mention the app FRAX). Really ambient, sublime, and beautiful. Could use a little more variation on the terrain objects but I'm sure that will be added as the game develops. Either way def worth the dollar. Groovy!

Beautiful in so many ways.... This is easily the best app ever. I love the haunting feel it has. It's haunting and amazing. This app sounds perfect in earbuds with some Hans Zimmer music playing. It's a perfect match. Melodive plus Hans Zimmer music equals perfection. This app is amazeballs and is very addictive. I'd love to be able to read the words a little better. A little more music choices and bigger particles. That's bout all it's missing. I deleted this a long time ago and idk why I did. I actually regret it, now that I re-downloaded it. This app is so beautiful and eerie but it's so great. I'm in love with this app and it's almost impossible to stop playing.

Dudee. This game is best enjoyed when you get blitzed out of your skull. For those who don't know what that means. GET HIGH AS FRICK! It's certainly a trip. Recommending to all the stoners out there.

Phenomenal. Absolutely stunning. After playing, I came back here and was surprised to see how old this game is. It stands the test of time and is among the best iOS game experiences I've had in 2016. I can see myself revisiting this game for months to come. The challenging yet intuitive flight controls mix with the stunning trippy visuals mixed with the ever present drive to dive deeper and deeper make this game a wonderful meditative escape.

So much potential, but.... This game is very beautiful, but the controls are really horrible. There is only one difficulty setting, and that is frustratingly hard. The settings panels are a little too cutesy for my tastes, and they are hard to read, understand and use. Navigation and control in gameplay is terrible and unintuitive. While you should logically always be moving forward thru the landscape, most of the time you seem to be going backward where you can't even see where you're going, or how to change direction. In addition to difficulty settings, there should be an "auto" mode where you can just drift thru the landscape effortlessly, perhaps just guiding it along. What could have been an enjoyable and relaxing game is instead just frustrating and annoying.

Please!!. I think this game would be great...... if I could play for free! I’m young, so no subscriptions for me. There is no button for free play as in no money. The first thing I see is the subscription page but with no x! Please fix this. The game seems beautiful but what is the point if I can’t play? I don’t usually do this, because usually the game developers are merciful lol. But all jokes aside, pls let us play for free. Until then, no other review with good results from me. Aren't gliders supposed to move forward?. Pretty to look at and the musicality is interesting. For those reason I give it the two stars. However there seems to be no controls even when you bump into enough items to collect some points for boosters and gravity control. Guess I can't channel my inner drum stick. Awesome. This game puts you into the game. You actually feel like your floating, falling, or flying, it feels also like your swimming in a deep coral filled cave. The colors are awesome the graphics are awesome and kind of psychedelic. This game is just awesome.

This could be better. If Arcade mode wasn't 5x harder than Free mode, if there weren't constant barriers forcing you down near-impossible crevices and tiny holes, and if there was a meter at the corner of the screen that told you how far down you currently are instead of making you wait until you die to find out. I've been trying to reach 10,000m, but am finding it impossible.

The gameplay is like an ocean diving on a strange alien world where the fish are odd shapes that swim in schools and form musical notes as you collect them all the while diving deeper and deeper into the unknown.

Meditation flight. I'm almost sad there's no related games. This is the most unique thing I've played anyone have something similar?

Transcendent. A masterpiece of simplicity and beauty. Entirely convincing, and just as engrossing, as another world, real or imagined. Distinct in it's boldness, a direct indication of just how special an experience this is. Another tiny (but huge) victory in the glut of AppStore mediocrity. While this title certainly isn't for everyone, the believers will be thoroughly rewarded with an experience unlike any other.

Amazing. I can't express in words how much I love this game. Everything about it is done so well. The visuals are stunning, the controls are tight, and flying just feels good. It does have a bit of a learning curve, and the controls may take a little while to get used to, but as others have said here, if you stick with the game long enough to master the controls, you won't be disappointed. The satisfaction that comes from mastering this game is huge. While the initial difficulty will definitely off put some, I would still recommend this game to anyone looking for a fresh experience unlike any other in the appstore.

Very Original!! 👍👾 😋. This is a very interesting game with intuitive controls and compelling visuals. If I had to choose one word to describe this game it would be "immersive" literally hahaha. This isn't one of those games that start out easy and you get bored of it, you actually require some skill and experience to move on. You will actually feel accomplished when you thought you were going to crash and just when you couldn't see anyway out, a very narrow crevice appears just around the corner leading to your survival. I never got this feeling from any other game. Defenetely a must-have 👾

Tricky at first, but worth it!. Very unique and beautiful game! Learning to "drive" is very frustrating at first but it's definitely worth the effort to get the hang of it. The concept is simple but the endlessly evolving visuals and sound keep it fascinating and mesmerizing for hours!

Melodive. This is a prime example of one of the AppStore's lesser known gems. Melodive is one of the most unique flight simulator games I've ever played. It is easy to pick up but difficult to master. The landscape gives a great atmosphere, and the idea of each goal being a single note is really cool. I haven't quite figured out how to control it yet, but it's very fun so far.

Spectacular! A must buy. I very rarely write reviews but this truly deserved recognition. DO NOT JUDGE BASED ON THE SCREENSHOTS!!! This game cannot be captured in static images. 60 fps and an unconfined endless environment, this is the most fluid game I've ever played. Once you get get used to the controls you'll find they're actually quite intuitive. The slight edge-to-edge camera distortion, low gravity, fluid motion, and eerie three-dimensional audio make playing feel like dreaming. $0.99 is a steal.

Good idea, but seriously flawed. While this app is a great idea, they completely ruin it by forcing you to tilt your iPad to steer. How can you enjoy the scenery when you're constantly tilting the screen around so you can't look at it? To make matters worse, all of the text is made of shimmering crystals that are very hard to read. You can't change any of the settings because you can't read the text. . Do _not_ buy this until you see in the updates that they've replaced tilt control with tapping on the screen.

Fun but frustrating. I love this game. My only problem is that it is so difficult to start playing. Maybe 4 times out of five I cannot play because the home screen starts zooming around and I can't click start or any of the other options. Yes, four out of five times. It is really annoying. Otherwise, a fantastic game.

Chill. This is a stunning audio and visual masterpiece. Perfect for chilling out, but gets fast and intense if you let it. Note: the controls are hard to master on purpose... Its all about the experience rather then getting to the end. Let your instinct guide you and go with it. It gets intense. Also reading the instructions a few times will help.

Well Deserved. I don't give reviews to games usually, but this game definitely deserves it! Not only is it visually interactive, it is a challenge. It's exactly what I need.

Perfect tablet game. This is exactly what an ipad game should be. The mechanic is simple but very elegantly used. It's pretty, it sounds good, and it's good, addicting fun for 30 seconds or 20 minutes. But most of all, it's an experience that really wouldn't work as successfully on any other platform but a tablet, not even a phone. Great game.

Take a risk and take flight.. If you're like me you are probably hesitant to buy this game. Don't be. I was expecting to be disappointed when I purchased this. I wasn't. It's an immersive and surreal experience more than it is a game. It might seem frustrating at first but tweak the controls, dim the lights, put on some good headphones and get lost in this beautifully eerie world of sound and color.

Vibrant and Relaxing. Got a bit faster after the update but it's more challenging this way. Caves get closed off too often which makes it impossible to pass. Great game though! Try playing it with your own iTunes music!

Amazing. In the 10-15 minutes I have played of this, I have been blown away by this game. With vivid colors and mesmerizing sounds, Melodive provides an atmosphere that draws you in for the ride of your life. I think this has been one of the best gaming experiences I've had on my phone, if anywhere. I will definitely recommend this one to my friends. Great work.

Simple, but refined. I'm loving this game. I wasn't sure I would, but the tightly-tuned controls can make for such a fluid experience that I have no choice but to enjoy playing. The creator is active, openly communicative and believes in his work. He is constantly trying to think of ways to make the game better. This will probably become part of the permanent selection of apps on my devices.

I have no idea what is going on!. But I like it!!! Seriously though this is worth a buck just to experience playing once. Very dreamlike and full of wonder. Check it out. You won't be disappointed! Ok, just figured out you can play this on your TV and listen to your own soundtrack with surround sound via AirPlay and AppleTV. This is now a must buy!!! So sick. Rocking out to Tool Vicarious sitting way too close to the screen and using my iPhone 4S as a crazy one handed controller. I just had the most fun I have had with my iPhone in a long time!!!

Controls just don't seem right. It's prob because I'm missing some aspect of the game, but the controls are bad or the game's concept of physics are odd. I don't feel like I'm flying at all. I also do not feel like I'm in a cave, but more like falling in between a bunch of rock columns. I really don't think this game is that good, least I only spent a buck.

lacking control. This is a cool app but the ridiculously hard to manage controls make it very frustrating. Also, you guys need to work on your algorithms and polish up the logic that is supposed to make music because it is extremely repetitious. Oh my. You will never master this game, nor will you ever beat it. Rather, much like the zen yin to Super Hexagon's hyper yang, this experiment in synesthesia aims to bring you gradually into a new frame of mind. It does not seek to be comfortable and comprehensible, but to be illusive, intangible, and not unlike a lucid dream. If you go in expecting Melodive to adhere to any preconceptions, you will be disappointed. This is its own thing. Go in with a wide open mind and you'll see. Wow. Well this is a bizzare and interesting little creature of a game, isn't it. What I would have done for something like this in my more formative years. A lot of the joy I've extracted from this has been in slowly getting more and more fluid with the experience and that says a lot about the title. It's not just "getting the controls down" but more of a falling into the rhythm, which is a neat characteristic of some games and something I really enjoy. I've read some words that parallel this with Super Hexagon, which I am a huge fan of, and I find that to be spot on. The two titles are totally different experiences, but both have the ability to provide that feeling of falling into a zone and losing yourself in the screen in a way very different than, say, losing yourself in the depth an epic RPG. There is a mind-body connection going on here that's very satisfying. It's an unusual thing to achieve these days and a testament to the developer for being able to make such a seemingly abstract world so tangible. I picked this up for free today, and I've recommended it to a few people since, but as soon as this promo is over, I'll be buying a couple copies to gift as a thank you. Titles like this reinforce my belief that iOS is still capable of wonderful things in spite of some current trends and I really look forward to seeing what you have coming. THIS GAME!. I don't really get it

Cholesterol. Game is nice but the mountains look like cholesterol

Very good, original game. Basically you fall down and bump into things to create music. Only problems I had was the dazzly menu screen font which was hard to read, as well as the box explaining the game. In short, just some text issues. The game itself is superb.
