Life saver. My life is significantly improved! I will be evangelizing this app! If you’re having trouble finding the Aa button, it is in the safari search bar, not the YouTube search bar.

(FIXED) Doesn't hide the shorts section on the homepage. (EDIT: developer fixed the issue, thank you!) It hides the shorts button and the redirection feature works properly but it doesn't stop shorts from appearing on the homepage. I tried going to the support website but it says "website is archived". :(

SO WORTH THE DOLLAR. I love the fact that this only works on Safari and not the app itself because then I can pair it with my blocker! I can finally watch YouTube without getting distracted by those stupid shorts. My brain can finally relax!

FINALLY. I’ve searched for something that can do this several times on different occasions. I always give up - I’ve never been able to manage. I’ve tried everything you can think of - extensions, various apps, some light scripting, even swapping to chrome. Read many articles and reddit threads. But this is it - this is what I’ve been looking for. Honestly thank you to whoever made it, you’ve helped stop my doom scrolling. Also, not for nothing, this is the first and only app review I’ve ever written, that’s how excited I am.

Worth it. After using this app for two weeks, I’m impressed with how well it works. I’ve been looking for a way to block YouTube Shorts on iPhone for years, and this finally does the job. I also appreciate that if you do happen to come across a Short, it plays in the default player, preventing endless scrolling.

Finally!. I’ve been looking for something like this for a while. Of course YouTube wouldn’t make a feature to block Shorts on its own because why would any drug pusher stop pushing the drug that keeps their customers hooked? I got rid of all my other social media, but I really didn’t want to get rid of YouTube. I’m so thankful to this developer for creating this app to give power back to us. I happily deleted the YouTube app and just watch YouTube on my Safari app now so I don’t have to feel addicted to those stupid short form videos that ruin attention span. Thank you so much, developer!!

I hate shorts. Thank you for building this app. Seriously a life changer. So easy to get sucked in to watching those videos for hours (and they’re literally so dumb) but now I just watch a few videos..and even if I do get sucked in, I’m watching longer form content that is mostly much more useful information…like content I’m actually learning from.

Works. Thank you, it works perfectly fine. I have been using the YouTube website for a while to limit distractions but I still got distracted sometimes. This is very helpful. I also like how if you click a short from a channel then it redirects to the original web player. That $1 buck is worth an upcoming wasted hour. Even if it’s just one hour…

Doesn’t even work in safari. I followed the steps, restarted my phone and it still didn’t work in safari or the YouTube app

Don’t turn on. The app show up and as an extension but when you try and turn it on it won’t turn on.

Finally!. I have been so annoyed by all the shorts that YouTube forces on us. This app solves the problem! Takes the all the shorts out. Took one click and now they are gone forever. Thank you!

I like that the application has 3 functions: - Completely hide the Shorts section from any YouTube section - Prohibit video scrolling inside the Shorts feed - Automatically open Shorts like a regular video (so that there is no Shorts feed) The application is worth its money as of July 12, 2024. Completely useless. Got this app to prevent my kid from endlessly run shorts. No dice. Every channel i see shorts is an option. Hit the aA, sure enough shorts blocker is active. Does nothing.

Does exactly what it says it does. The other app that does this gets rid of your recommendation feed; this one does not. It is perfect. I've been looking for something like this forever. I have ADHD and generally try to avoid social media for that reason, but I can't let go of long-form YouTube videos... and I also have zero willpower to stop myself from watching Shorts. This does that for me. Thanks :)

Yay!!. The extension works beautifully! One star reviews are most likely from people who did not read the description on limitations / installation as I have had no issues. NOTE: This is a SAFARI EXTENSION and only works in your browser (going to youtube.com in the safari app) and NOT in the YouTube app. There is no other way to browse YouTube on your phone without seeing shorts as of right now as YouTube does not offer that as a setting in the app. So happy people are making tools like this! Thank you!!

Does not block shorts. Installed this app on my m1 macbook pro. Does not block shorts. This is clearly an issue.

Works Perfectly. I’ve been wishing I could delete YouTube Shorts from the app for ages now. Since that’s impossible, this is the next best thing. I deleted my YouTube app and replaced it with a Shortcut that sends me to the mobile page for YouTube. The extension works seamlessly with no frills.
