Totally Useless. Good thing the APP is free! - I cannot even view the issues I have purchased . It’s not supported as well as you might think. But I had to give it one star in order to be able to tell you this.

Extinction. I know print media companies are struggling these days and I tried to support these guys but this is ridiculous. I’ve had this app for several years and have paid for many articles that are now completely inaccessible. It appears that the developer has no Interest in fixing it. I’ll chock up my losses and if I want to see builds of models or find modeling tips I guess I’ll just have to use the internet...for free. I don’t know what I’ll do without being spammed on every other page with advertisements. Which ironically is why I thought you “pay” for a subscription to begin with, so as to avoid all the ads. These guys want the best of both worlds, my dollars and advertising dollars. Then not to even support the app that I have to pay for every month??? Yeah, I can see these guys going the way of the dinosaurs and it’s been a long time coming.

Vanished. I as well have lost the last three years of magazines and special issues via this app. I have called and written for help, only to be told that there is nothing they can do but that my name is “on a list”. Don’t bother clicking on the “App Support” link as the link cannot be found. Brilliant.

Latest update. Will not recognize that I’m subscribed till November 2018. Wants me to buy the issues individually. Impossible to get help from Kalmbach and Apple help is a maze that I haven’t figured out. So they got my $39 and I have nothing in return. Oh and this very funny and I bet the idiots in IT are still laughing about this one but if you try to go APP Support you get the 404 Page not found message. Very funny Apple IT. Sept 2019 Again nothing works and I can’t access any of my past issues. They want me to log in with my email or user name. They will not recognize any of my email addresses as being valid. Still no help. Kalmbach still blames Apple and Apple has no support. Everyone just takes your money and then gives you the finger

Unusable. This app doesn’t work at all. Step one is to log in, and it fails every time. I can’t see any of the digital issues that I’ve paid for.

Worst Ever. Cannot access. I have tried repeatedly to access my subscription. I have read this magazine for years. Obviously, you’ll want to stay away based on the reviews. Very disappointing as I can’t afford the print version.

Not worthwhile. the magazine is 50% advertisements, your $4 per month is much better spent subscribing to florymodels or genessis models websites. I subscribed for several months hoping to learn something new…never happened. Also had issue of months being paid for and not available for download

New update. App does not work!!!

Kept my money :(. Can’t get any of the 15 or so issues I purchased before.. way to go FSM. You gonna reimburse me?

Broken App - I can’t access my paid for magazines. Please fix ASAP - this is a disgrace.

Garbage. The app is garbage and does not work. They took my money, can’t get it back through apple or any of the other hoops! I’ve been an on again off again subscriber but I’m done with FSM for good now - too many better options for good info that are far less of a headache.

Ugh.... Worked when I first installed it years ago. Got back into the hobby this year and it no longer works. At all. Won’t get past the login screen. Trash, and I’d like my money back.

App does not work.. Update 26Nov19: Well...back to the spinning wheel of death and the app does nothing. So nice to have lost 2.5 years worth of issues and some of the special issues as well. Kalmbach needs to fire their app developers and get their money back. Do not bother with this app. If you already have it, best of luck in getting Kalmbach Publishing to provide you with any assistance at all. FSM Staff will at least try and help you, but they are not the tech behind it. So we are all stuck waiting until enough of us complain that the current version of the app is not working properly. On my end, cancelling my subscription and loosing the last 2 months on my subscription at least gave me access to my archives. Would advise checking out FSM’s primary method of delivering e-copies and not using the Apple Stores App. Go directly to FineScale.com and subscribe through them directly. Can’t guarantee that that route will give you problem free reading, but at least you will have an easier time dealing with their customer support...I think.

Here we go again. Update: It is now 2 weeks after the last iOS version came out & surprise, surprise, I still can’t open Finescale Modeler or restore my purchases if I can get it to open from the app store. I don’t think the folks that are supposed to take care of these problems have a clue what’s happening. Once again an iOS update has caused Finescale Modeler to crash & burn. Now it seems that NOTHING will make it work. I have uninstalled & reinstalled the app several times without success. If I uninstall & reinstall, I have to use the app store to open the magazine. The issues are all locked. If I try to verify my purchases, it goes to the opening page & stalls. It’s obvious from the constant problems that whoever is responsible doesn’t care whether it works or not.

Doesn't work and publisher claims nothing is wrong.. Since the update I've not been able to do anything with the app. Removing and reinstalling does not work, restoring purchases does not work, login does not work. I can get as far as the loading screen (the P51 model) and watch a little spinning thing spin. I have been going back and forth with the publisher who has gone back and forth with the developer who claims nothing is broken. This will be my last subscription with Kalmbach.

Dishonesty to the max. I have over 3 years of issues that I have paid for. After the update not only can’t I access those issues but any request for help goes unanswered. They just keep trying to sell you more subscriptions. So I lost my money to apple and fine scale modeler. No matter how you slice it this is bad business and just dishonest. Thank you J diaz

Why?. I continually have to delete and reload to see my subscription. What is wrong with this a-p it gets stuck on the spinning wheel. I’m considering canceling this and my print subscription. I’ve been a subscriber to the print for decades and the online since it was available but this is getting ridiculous I t’s been going on for a long time. Please fix or refund.

Current version. Still cannot open ap. Ap screen closes immediately upon loading. Shows running in background but cannot open.

Impossible to use. App refuses to recognize my password. I paid for both print and digital copies but I’m utterly unable to use the digital version. Email to customer service goes unanswered.

Update doesn't work. Update 11/7/19 - this app still doesn’t work. Customerservice link doesn’t work. Too many issues like this forced me to cancel my subscription today. Yes I still expect you to fix the app so that I can access the magazines I’ve paid for. After that I’ll look at re-subscribing. As others have said, can no longer access app on iPad Air 2. Icon just spins at title page with P 51 on it. Please fix this.

Dissapointing!. Unable to view my past downloads and current subscription after updating app. Apple and the magazine points fingers at each other. A call to the Kalmbach actually asked me for my apple user name and password. That’s a sure way to get an account jacked! Canceled subscription renewal after 3 years of subscription.

Still not opening on my iPad. Can't get it to open. Tried a reboot and nothing!

Good app but needs work.. I like the app, but no option or way to enter my current digital subscription. Please add in next version.

Nice job FSM. App now crashes and when I tried to delete it and then download a new app... the restore function doesn't work. Totally broken.

Absolute rubbish app. This app locks the latest issues and asks for login details yet I subscribe through iTunes so don’t have a login for FSM! How do I get my issues that I’ve paid for but can’t access???!!!!???

Terrible. New version of the FSM app is terrible. Unable to refresh previous purchases. Current issue has no option to purchase as a single issue. Great way to lose readers.

It needs to be fixed. I subscribed to a yearly subscription. Currently I can not read the current issue. I feel ripped off.

Not optimised. This version of the app is so bad that I can no longer navigate through my library or read the editions properly i will not purchase editions until it is fixed

This version sucks!. This version of FineScale Modeler app sucks. I’ve logged-in and it won’t restore my purchases. Not very happy!

Completely nonfunctional. Completely nonfunctional - would not restore purchases, several years of back issues no longer accessible and now will not get beyond start up splash screen. More like digital theft than an app. AVOID!
