The Perfect Simple Alarm Clock App. This app is great. A simple intuitive alarm clock that is dimmable, quick to set, accurate, and orients to portrait or landscape position. The developer has been responsive to complaints and updates the App regularly. Easily worth the asking the asking price.

Dim enough for dark room, but still readable. I love analog clocks over digital for that bleary-eyed check of the time in the wee hours. If you dim the screen in the settings prior to launching the app, you can dim the clock enough so it barley puts any light in the room. More like those old glow-in-the-dark clocks of old. This is the only clock that will still be readable in this dim mode. An addition of a white noise feature and the ability to fade in the alarm would make it the best clock in the app store.

Ease of use. Nothing complex. Easy to use. Simply elegant and fully dim-able. I've tried many alarm clocks and found this to be my favorite. Upgrade to pro version for great extra features but try free version first.

Basic & Simple. I just wanted a clock that displays the time & wakes me up. This clock does both. However, I would like to see a more accurate alarm set. Rotating the green hand provides an estimated alarm time. Can't really tell if I've set the alarm for 5:15 am or 5:30 am. This morning it went off at 5:17 am. Also, the clock display can be dimmed. However, it doesn't dim enough for me. Even on the lowest level the clock face glows too much. These 2 fixes would be a huge improvement for this clock.

Analog Look. I have used it for a few months now and really like its simplicity. I use it every day. I would like to see a choice to use your own photos as background !

The only thing wrong. The only thing I don't like is that if the clock is running in the background when the alarm is set it uses the alarm instead of your music. You have to leave it up & running in the foreground (and plugged to a power source if you're going through the night) to hear the music & be able to snooze it. It is pretty.

Nice looking clock. However it appears to be to easy to inadvertently change time or shut off the alarm. When setting the alarm time you can only set it 12 hours in the future. It lacks the ability to set alarm times over the week. You have remember to set this alarm every night. The alarm clock that came with my iPhone is more reliable.

Love the app. Beautiful.. Love the simple elegance. Previous reviewer had it right about the alarm hand. There also needs to be an alarm change confirmation or something as I find it very easy to accidentally change the alarm. Other than that awesome app.

Good but can be better!. Like the simplicity and ease of use. However setting the alarm needle to correct time is not quite easy as needle jumps back and forth; needle will always be a few minutes ahead or behind the exact time.

Great Alarm App. I like this app, black background and dims very well. You don't hardly notice it like some other alarm apps, most are too bright. Please fix the alarm time display, it's not working on my iPhone 6+, it displayed once but the disappeared. Please fix AM/PM indicator I don't see any difference between AM and PM. Feature requests... Please add a small numbered day/date square on the dial face at the 3 or 6 o'clock position. Like this -> MON 15 Please add small weather line across the bottom of the screen. Graphic display of current conditions. Use weather underground widget as a template. Please add shout cast alarm feature so I can wake up to the news or other online radio stations. Please add adjustable snooze time, I don't know how long the snooze is and I can't change the snooze time.

Clean and simple. This app demonstrates why simplicity is superior. There are no multiple alarms, multiple views or a plethora of adjustments here. There is only a single, simple, clean clock face and a single alarm that is easier to set than any I have seen. There is also an outstanding screen dimmer that does not overpower the darkness of a bedroom.

Great, with one REALLY stupid flaw. It's a beautiful clock with a clean, modern design and really sensible alarm and dimming functions. I travel for work and it would be PERFECT as a travel clock, except for one flaw so dumb it's embarrassing. The clock face fails to rotate when you rotate the phone. And where does the phone plug into the power source every night? That's right boys and girls, it plugs in on the bottom! And can you prop the phone up against a lamp with the cord plugged in on the bottom? Sure you can, you just turn the phone 180 degrees, so the plug is on top. And when you do so, this clock is upside down. Dum.

Great alarm clock. Simple, clean design. If you just want an alarm clock, this is awesome. Love the way you can dim it and that it works both portrait and landscape. The alarm hand does have a tendency to "jump" when setting. If this were fixed I would give it 5+ stars.

Quit Working. I’ve used this app daily for years. Imagine my disappointment when it failed to work after updating to iOS 14.2. Please fix!

Music no longer works. This was my go to alarm app for years, but the music feature no longer works. When you go to select a playlist (or album or artist), you just get an arrow that takes you to individual songs in that playlist, and you can only pick one song. Who wants to hear the same song over and over? I love the simplicity of the interface, but if it can’t play a random song from a playlist, it’s no longer useful for me. What a shame.

Love it, but.... Darn if I didn't use the free version for a few weeks, then came here to pay for the Pro version so it would wake to music...I pay my $$ and what happens...wake to music DOES NOT WORK. Their website offers no help, their e-mail links don't work. WISHED IT WORKED. I'm on iPhone 5 maybe someone else is having better luck. Could be I'm missing something...dont mind paying them my $$, but what a buzzkill if it doesn't work and they don't support it. No more hocus-pocus let's focus.

Best of Breed. Simple, stylish, functional, analogue appearance. The screen dims to let you sleep without glare. The alarm setting is easy peasy. And the snooze function takes a simple tap. Finally, a clock/alarm that makes sense.

Problem after latest upgrade. After the upgrade my phone stays dim. This happens every time my phone is locked and then unlocked. I have to open the clock and set the brightness. The other problem is that there should be a way to lock the alarm time. It is too easy to change the alarm time when you dim the clock.

Great App. I've tried several clock and alarm apps for my iPhone and I liked this one the best. It's easy to use, looks cool, allows me to wake to alarm or music and easily dimmes down to an acceptable level for nite use. The two things that would make it better would be, easier to set the alarm and if it could dim down more.

Alarm malfunctions on iOS 7.0.1 -- Delete completely reinstall. This may be Apple's bug, but the alarm function, with or without a music alarm, no longer works. You have to delete, download, and reinstall. Then you are good to go. If ONLY you could make the greem alarm hand disappear when not in use . . . Otherwise it's perfect and beatiful

Simple and efficient. I have been using the app for five years now and I am very happy with it. Simple and efficient as well as consistent is all I needed and what the app delivers. I wish the setting of the wake up alarm was a little more precise but that is my only drawback.

Used to be great, now it’s broken. This has been my perfect, reliable alarm clock for years. It started breaking sometime last summer or fall. I think it must have been iOS 11. Going off in the PM but not in the AM, giving a tiny bleat and then stopping without snoozing but then going off that night interminably. Now with iOS 12 and the bigger phones it doesn’t go off at all. I guess they’re not updating it because they don’t respond to email. Huge disappointment because there’s nothing else that looks like a simple classic alarm clock and that has a good dimming switch.

Great alarm clock. I have used this for only 3 mornings now but found it very very simple to use and i love waking up to my favorite songs. It sets the tone of my day. I like the dimming feature. Haven't had to use the snooze tap yet. Great job!

Not Perfect, But VERY Close. I've used this app, Alarm Clock, for a couple of years. While I'm not really "old school", there's something satisfying to me about the analog look. There are 3 small things I'd like to see changed: (1) when I touch the screen to change the alarm time, the alarm pointer jumps back a couple of hours; (2) the alarm volume setting may work perfectly for an actual alarm, but it seems to have little or no impact on the volume of music used as an alarm (I'd love to be able to set a sequence of multiple songs…); (3) I dim the screen as much as the app allows, yet, if a notification comes in (Apple really needs to fix that so it doesn't happen), the screen brightens and stays bright. That being said, those are minor things and I really like the app!

Simple. The simplicity is terrific. Easy to set, very elegant. It would get 5 stars if it had some type of logical snooze function. Even no snooze function at all would be better. It seems to have a random time frame for snooze and touching the screen will sometimes snooze for an unknown time frame or turn the alarm off entirely. It's gotten me in trouble a time or two. Despite that, I still use it daily.

Great design but bad alarm. This is not an alarm. The features of this app are more geared towards style than function because the arm for the alarm must be swung around the clock. This is imprecise and it doesn't allow you to just type in the alarm setting. So I usually leave that to my other alarm apps. This is still a great app because it looks great and has character. Three to four stars. Five stars if the alarm function could be modified.

What did I pay for?. I purchased the paid version for the extra features and the app is the same as the non paid version. The promised features did not appear with the new app - just a menu for the features that does nothing. Also the menu cannot be entered in landscape orientation or it will be unusable and inescapable. Refund please!

Wish the snooze worked. Just about everything with this app is great. I like how Dim it is during the night time and I like the choices that I have in Setting the alarm. The biggest and most important problem is that I cannot get the snooze to work. I have deleted the app and re-loaded it, over and over, and it will not work. Other than that and with other alarm back ups, I continue to use it.

IPhone 7 plus. It's OK

Home bar at bottom of screen ruins the app. Great app, but.........Why have a bright home bar at the bottom of the screen which you can’t remove or dim? Lights up the room at night. Please fix this ASAP

Excellent. Analog face and really easy to use alarm. Unlike many clocks, dims fully with completely black background. A minor point: the entire phone stays dim rather than reverting to default dimming upon leaving application.

Great App - but still issues with selecting music alarms. I love the app, but still spotty issues with selecting some songs (including some songs purchased through iTunes) where you select the song, click Done, and the app unexpectedly quits. Also having an issue where even when you select a song, when the alarm sounds, it's the default alarm sound (even though the app shows the music alarm on and the song selected). Still, though there are some bugs, this is a wonderful app. **Feature request - please add a second hand, with an option to turn on/off.

Just Perfect!. The recent update turned this already excellent app into the best analog clock app I've ever had. The gorgeous design & excellent alarm function are terrific. I use this app throughout the day since the alarm is so easy to set whenever I need a reminder. It's earned the prominent place I have given it on my home page. After trying many others, I've finally found the clock app that meets my every need.

Excellent but..... I just to love this app but now is not working properly with my new iPhone 7 Plus none of the options are working when I select the Background Dimmer the snooze function or the Display Alarm time and I go back to the alarm they automatically get unselect not allowing me to keep them select, I delete and download the app twice but still not working hopefully development team can check into this issue because I love this Alarm

AM or PM. How do you set the alarm for AM or PM?

Great. Very user friendly, just drag and drop. When you don't have time to set up complicated and detail settings on an app clock. Then this app clock is it. Fast and easy. Like peeling a banana. You can't get any simpler then that. Who needs all those bells and whistle. When all you really want is to set the alarm as fast as you can, cause you only have a 30 minute break.

Updated review. With the latest OS update(10.2) all functions have been restored. Dimming, exact alarm time etc. work again. I'm a very happy camper. Hands down this is the best alarm app out there! Clean, easy to set and nice default alarm tone. Now if they would only bring out an AppleWatch companion app...

Great App. Minimal👌

Simplicity. At first, I wasn't sure if I would like this clock. After using it for a couple of nights, it's my favorite now for its simplicity. The only improvement that would make it five stars for me is to be able to easily refine the alarm time setting.

Inaccurate reviews. I almost didn't buy this because of inaccurate reviews. First, this is the most dimmable alarm clock I've found. Second, setting the alarm could not be easier or more accurate. Maybe the reviews that complained about these issues did not know there is a menu to give added control of these items. My only suggestion would be to have a progressive alarm volume and selectable alarm sounds. But these drawbacks can be overcome by using music for the alarm.

Great. Needs one fix. Love the app. Needs to just add one thing. On the iPhone X, please hide the home bar when the app is open. Can’t use this in a dark room because the bar is always there and bright. Also you should add new clock faces. I would even pay for some “packs” of faces. Add the home bar thing and you got 5 stars from me though.

Good. I love the look, but I wish there was a way to set the snooze duration and have an am/pm setting - leaving the alarm set for the next day.

Beautifully simple. After trying many alarm clocks I found this little gem. Plain, simple, yet an elegant design. Sure, everybody would like their own personal improvements but I find the plain approach to be just right. The brightness can be adjusted for the perfect setting in those dark hotel rooms, multiple songs can be selected for the alarm, one finger alarm setting…so simple. Best alarm clock on the market.

Finally Found the Right One. After trying numerous different alarm clocks, I found this one. Nothing fancy. Simple and effective. The best thing about this clock is that in one simple swipe I can dim the clock before bedtime without having to go into the phone settings. Love this clock!

Great. This app is easy to use, and dim-able, which is a huge plus. I use it when I need a clock to look at on the side while I play cello before going to work, so I know how much time I have before I need to leave the house. I like how I can read the clock face easily from a few feet away.

Elegant simplicity. Love the elegance and simplicity, in looks and operation. So very quick and intuitive to set an alarm (by the way, am/pm alarm issue people are complaint about - that's exactly how those alarms were back then). Easy. I use other alarm apps if I need more complexity, but this is the one I tend to use most of the time.

Limited but nice.. Clean elegant display. German 'engineering' - attention to detail. Can't set am/pm alarms but that's ok. Pro version not a major step up but worth it to support the efforts of the designer. 99c well spent.

Pointless. This app is pointless and it's just a waste of usage in your phone/iPod/iPad and it is very hard to set an alarm, you can't get a precise time to set the alarm.

Ok. Can't get it to go off with a ringtone, so have slept thru the alarm the last two days as the normal alarm is to quiet. But I like the look and like that I can easily see the time

Alarm clock at $3.99. Nice design - best simple design, but the dimmed option makes little to no difference. The clock App is still too bright next to your bed at night. The suggestion to dim the overall brightness of your phone screen is .... not practical. I want to plug in and out, not mess around. Please fix the problem and update the App.

Nice Clock. I like the clock. Had others that did all kinds of things that you really don't need a clock to do? Just made them complicated. This is simple and looks good. The dimmest setting is still a bit bright though.

Ok, but needs bugs fixed. Please fix the bug with dimming. It would be great if A. the auto dim did not effect the overall phone brightness settings and B. you could adjust the brightness to what you want. Auto dim really makes no sense if the adjustment it provides in brightness is not what you want.

Only 12 hr format. Paid for the pro app but some functions don’t work like display alarm time. There is no 24hr format and the screen dimmed ok but the close app bar at bottom of screen remains fully lit. Clock deleted as all this annoyed me.

Where has the volume control slider gone?. Hello? iPhone 6+ and no volume control slider visible. Developers, are you awake?

Great with a major limitation. Perfect - apart from the lack of a sleep timer to allow you to fall asleep to quiet music.

No AM or PM indicator. I could not find any way to tell whether I was setting the time for AM or PM even with Detailed Time turned on. Nor would a selected song play when the alarm time was reached. I did make sure to be running the clock on screen at the time as per instructions.

Perfect. Absolutely the best alarm clock app. So easy to set and use. It's also the best design for dimming the entire face. My only wish would be for a digital design. As I get older..and half asleep, it's a little tough figuring out the analogue face. I thought it would be nice if you set it on the analogue screen and then have the option to flip it to a digital screen.

Unreliable. I have used travel alarms set up in this was many many times. However this is so unreliable that it is rendered useless.

Currently broken. I have used this app quite happily for many months on my iPhone 6 Plus. It worked great even after upgrading to iOS 10.0.2. Just got my 7 Plus today with same iOS version and app is broken. The settings function won't save settings like wake to music or display alarm time. Help!

Simple but not functional. Snooze function stinks (it doesn't seem to work properly; that is, it comes off snooze when you turn off the alarm after you slept for another hour after hitting snooze). If the phone is docked (something you might do to keep the app running all night) the alarm doesn't by-pass whatever the dock is connected to, something the native app does. So, no sound comes out of the built-in speakers if the phone is docked and the power is off of the stereo/docked device. Otherwise, it looks nice and is easy to set.

Excellent alarm clock. Worth $1.99 and more. Excellent graphic. All the basics: set by turning the green hand by touch. Alarm or iTunes music. Screen dimming. Will alarm when application closed. Otherwise leave iPad plugged in and get the benefit of the gorgeous clock face. Rotates nicely from portrait to landscape and fills the retina screen of the iPad 3. Great job: quality in simplicity.

Revised review. My original review is below. Since the last update this app has lost its full ability to dim the backlight. It now simply fades the on-screen image to black leaving the backlight, untouched, to bleed through. I now have to dim the backlight in the phone's settings to get the desired effect. I'm disappointed because the dim function is what lead me to buy this app. Minus 2 stars. --------------------------------------------------- The free version of this app is only slightly less terrific than the full version, but for ¢99 it's hard to go wrong buying the full version. The full version includes wake to music, snooze, and exact alarm time when setting the alarm, and displays in portrait and landscape mode. I was hoping to be able to set the alarm using 24 hour time but it only sets in 12 hour time so the alarm would go off twice a day if left on. Minus one star for that, but the rest is all good. One thing that REALLY impresses me is that the dim function actually dims the backlight. It doesn't just fade the screen colors to black leaving the backlight at its set brightness. The clock is simple, clean, and easy to read in the middle of the night with my 50 year old eyes. Well worth the money if you're looking for a simple and well executed alarm clock app.

Disappointed. After purchasing the premium version, I discovered a major bug. I tried to contact the developer on 2 separate occasions but never received a response to my emails....

Too basic. There are much better clock apps out there. No am, pm option with the alarm. Clock does not give you the option to have it digital. You have to go into the options in order to see exactly what time you're setting your alarm. Not worth your time.

Could be better. This app looks great visually. I love how you can dim the screen with a swipe of your finger. It's the alarm function that takes away 2 stars for me: first of all, it's clumsy to set accurately since you have to drag the hand with your finger. Secondly, the alarm has yet to actually go off and wake me up. I've tried it twice with no luck. Maybe this has something to do with the sleep setting my phone goes to overnight, but my native iPhone alarm manages to sound despite this setting, so I guess I'll be sticking with that one to wake me up.

Beautiful face, poor mechanics. There are several issues with this app, which makes it pretty much useless. You can only set the alarm for the next 12 hours. If it is 7:05 am now, and you want to set it to 6:45 am next day you have to wait until 6:45 pm. Otherwise the time jumps ahead by 12 hours when you cross current time. Setting alarm precisely is nearly impossible. You have to move the Alarm hand by swiping and it often jumps when you release it. A more traditional time entry mechanism would be very handy. Background alarm doesn’t work. It simply pushes notification but doesn’t play the sound. I also don’t like the fact that hands cover digits instead of ending inside of the dial ring. Bottom line—the app needs a few minor, but very important fixes to be worth its price.

Great Analog Alarm Clock. Totally uncluttered, great appearance and very easy to read night or day. It is just an alarm clock, no attempts to forecast the weather, provide news...it just does what it is supposed to do!

Doesn't work sideways. I love the look of this clock. It used to work sideways but no longer does so since I upgraded the operating system. I'd love a fix for that! Otherwise I can't use it as a clock at night when I travel.

The best alarm app. This is my favorite alarm click app: beautiful & simple UI, intuitive operation... I like the fact that it can be set to display the exact time of the alarm.

Excellent!. I purchased the upgrade because I couldn't stand not knowing the exact time I was setting alarm for. Works great. Super easy to use. No unnecessary frills and it dims enough so it doesn't light up whole room. Very pleased.

Alarm clock pro version. I bought pro version after using free version which is very good, I purchased pro version. Unfortunately pro version does not use landscape mode but free version does. Stay with free version until pro version is fixed. Not sure how this flaw was missed.

IPhone 7 issues. I love this app and depend on it as my full-time alarm. However it doesn't work with my new iPhone 7: doesn't retain any option settings (music alarm, background dimming, etc.). Please fix ASAP!!

Alarm clock. I like this clock, but the alarm clock snooze feature didn't work for me...I use it more as a clock on my night stand at night and the default alarm from the iPhone as my wake up call.

Alarm Clock - One Touch Pro. I am extremely pleased with this app. It is money well spent. The beautiful simplicity and great ease of operation makes this app as close to perfect as you can get. I highly recommend this app!

Great analog clock. I love the analog style. I've been using this clock for over a year and never had any issues. This has replaced the clock on my night stand.

Works as alarm, but music feature doesn't. My primary purpose was to have music to wake to, and after testing multiple times, and having the app fail during music selections, it still only plays the alarm beep, even though music is shown. Alarm does work, but it's no improvement on its own over the iPhone clock app

Average at best. This is a light weight app that is fair to average at best. The dimming feature does not return your phone back to full brightness when you exit the app. It is hard to set an accurate alarm time. The alarm set function relies on your aptitude to lift your finger off the screen at the right moment.

Terrific!. This simple, but elegant, application is so easy to use and classic in looks. Apple should buy it and include this in the OS apps.

Doesn't work!!!. Beautiful app but doesnt work properly. Keeps playing default alarm even though I select a song. Should also have a snooze function and ability to select a radio station.

A nice quality alarm clock in your iPhone. It's a well thought out ergonomic design, and handsome to boot.

Once in awhile.... ...an App comes out that should have been what Apple did. Getting to simple is not easy but it was done here and done well.

No volume. I love the simplicity of the clock and its style. The only flaw appears to be the alarm volume. When the screen is touched the volume is nulled. Also the volume bar doesn't show on the option screen.

Excellent, but iOS update, please. Title says it all. I've been using this for years and it's great as a compliment to the iPhone clock app. The only two clock apps I bother with.

An Excellent Alarm. Superb, articulate, and simple to use. The music library import option is a nice feature!

Looks ain't everything. You can only set one alarm. The time setting may look cool, but being able to pick an exact time would be cooler. No AM / PM. Have to reset the alarm every day - what a hassle. The settings don't save (yes, I bought the paid version) Lastly, no response when I contacted the developer. Lame, do not recommend.

Good, could be better.. It's a very nice app. Elegant, simple. Two suggestions. First, alarm hand should not appear until alarm turned on. As it is, the alarm hand is a big distraction. Second, wish there was a way to dim the background more. Too much light in a dark room. But still a good app.

Best Alarm Clock App Available!. If you're looking for an alarm clock app then look no further! Easy to use! Awesome dimming options! Touch to snooze! Awake to sound s or music. What else do you need?! The analog face is the BEST!

Good start. - music alarm doesn't work when screen is locked - need more alarm sounds, current one is too shrill - nice minimal design, can add more color or style options - while setting alarm, it would be good if the font size for the setting is larger.

Perfect .... If the alarm worked.. I think that says it all. What a Disappointment, that this gorgeous clock doesn't have a working alarm. The developer says the problem has something to do with the start of the year and that it will be fixed early this week. I hope he is right!

Almost perfect!. I only wish it would rotate to landscape mode on my iphone. It would be easier to use at night while plugged in.

Perfect. Perfect, simple application that works great. Having capability to dim way down is also a big plus for me. Leave alone!!

Simple...and just works!!!. This is my alarm clock. Big enough clock face to read w/o my glasses. Easy to dim. Easy to set / turn on / turn off the alarm. Perfect!

So far, 100% waste of money. I had the free app, and chose to invest in the paid app for additional features. Don't make same mistake I did. The features now show in the menu, but they won't stay selected and they do not work. Flush the $ down the toilet. Same difference.

With backlighting dimmed = very nice. This was a feature I was hoping for in this app. Thanks, Zuhanden! A couple of things: 1. It seems that when I dim the clock down, the dimmed state doesn't release when I exit the app, and so then I have to go to Settings and return the brightness setting to where I like it. 2. I'm not seeing the detailed alarm time with that new setting on. 3. Love the snooze addition - would be nice to be able to set the snooze time. Overall, though, this app has now become my go-to nightstand.

Music options is muting Alarm. Paid $2.99 for Pro version only to enable Music option, but Alarm is silent when Music option is On. Waist of money. Can use only same options as with Free version. Also it is very easy to reset alarm accidentally in a sleep if phone is close to the bed.

Nice. Like the ability to turn down the brightness of the clock Just wish it had more notification sounds and multiple alarm capabilities.

So simple!. I love that I don't have to open menus just to turn on the alarm. Such a clean and simple clock and alarm. Love it!

Clean look, simple to use. All I wanted was a simple, well-designed analog clock that wasn't over-decorated and would play a song from my music as the alarm. That's exactly what I got.

My Favorite Alarm Clock. I love the simple and elegant analog design, and setting the alarm couldn't be any easier...tough to ask for anything more from a free app, but would love to see the date at the 3 o'clock position, watch face style.

Rating. Really like the design. Clean look. Simple nothing fancy. But it's hard setting the alarm to the exact minute.

Great Clock... But. I love this app. Simple, clean and it works. Needs to be updated for iPhone 5. I really don't understand how developers don't get this done in a timely fashion.
