Rip off. Crashes, current update... Crashes

No kidding - no update for over 4 months!. There is still no update to fix the problem of accessing previously purchased issues???!!! Do not buy!!! I would give it 0 star, if I could.

Great content. Great content. Got one of the special editions. Format is great as is the content. Great for learning. As far as the negative reviews, they are interactive replicas that you can preview before purchasing. $5 for a regular issue of this mag is a great price. At the newsstand is much higher as it is a British import.

Don't bother! It's awful!. I love the magazine and the content. But I have never seen a more confusing, convoluted, useless app. Stay away. It is terrible.

Text too small. App has great potential but is really only. Digitized version of magazine. Text is too small because it try's to display entire view of page, so when you tap to zoom in a bit text appears somewhat blurry. App is not interactive like some others.

Needs better technical info. Very nice imagery and ideas but slim technical investigation. Wish the articles dug deeper into technical background of "how to" Feels like a basic picture magazine.

took my money nicely … but won. the magazine is great … the app is buggy .. ditto with icreate, others in the same stable .. if they download, they're fine, if the print copy is unavailable ..

Trying to get us to purchase twice?. Purchases won't restore under the new version.

Very poor and frustrating. My first rating of an an app and it's just to say that everyone is correct. I paid $12 for a special addition and I can't view it! I've gone through all there little suggested fixes, but they don't work. Not good... Not good at all. You got me, but only once. Plenty of other publications. Time to try another that values customer service.

Again!!!!. Yet another update where all content saved on the ipad is deleted, forcing to restore purchases, which once again isn't working!

Too bad. What a shame to have one of the best photography magazines neither in HD or interactive at least to jump to pages it feels like a PDF file without the ability to search , take some lesson from photography week magazine. Please fix this and take your right place in digital magazines world.

Big Improvement. I love the new version, it's great!

Great zine, horrible app. I got half-way through the first issue I dled and then the app crashed. Any time I try to open it, it crashes. Glad I hadn't bought a subscription yet. If the app worked I'd still only give it ⭐⭐⭐ because its only an over-glorified PDF of the print version. The content is fantastic but needs to be better translated into electronic format. In this digital age of technological marvels I expect more than just a picture of the pages I have to zoom in on. Check out The British Journal of Photography's app; there's so much more to e-zines than scanned pages.

Agonizing, Unfriendly App Kills the Decent Magazines.. Magazines are very good but it is agonizing to access them thru the app interface. I have had to re download mine every time I am trying to read them. Also, you cannot print any page of the magazines you paid for. Very unfriendly. Stay clear.

Negative stars. There is no free content atleast to give you a demo. I would have given negative rating if minimum was not 1 star.

Relaxing & Informative. It’s up to date. With short articles so it’s easy to read and very informative. The articles keep you thinking, but make you realize Covid-19 is still around. So be safe & enjoy.

Great magazine, bad app.. Please fix the multitude of crashes, bugs, etc. I'm about to go back to print...at least I can get the digital content that comes with the publication.

Previous versions much better. When this App went into the Newsstand App in iOS4, the App went from good to bad. The App crashes frequently, or simply freezes, and user friendliness went way down with being tied to the stupid newsstand. I have several other stand alone photo magazine apps all nicely grouped together on my iPad, but not this one. I have to lunch the newsstand app, then the Pixel Mags app just to see my issues.

I think I would love it but........ I downloaded this app and then realized that I needed to pay money....which is fine and I was willing to do this. So.....I purchased a 6 month subscription. But nothing comes up. The only items in the library are issues that have price tags next to them......and I'm thinking well I just purchased a 6 month subscription for these issues....so why the hell are you only giving me the option to buy them?!?! I've tried getting help online...but I can't even login...b/c it won't recognize my email address.

Bad programming. Been buying these Britisher based apps since they started. They still have the worse system of any magazine app I use. Think it's time to move on - you get tired of the mess ups and constantly Having to rebuild your data again and again. Decent basic content. Lousy programmer!

Locks Up - UPDATED. When I first started using the app it would lock up Since then, they have come out with an update. I have had much better results since the update. Any support emails I have sent in have been replied back to. They seem to want to improve their product. I am unceasing the star rating for this app.

No free content. Please don't list in free apps. Nothing FREE here

Consistently one of best. I have been reading Digital Photographer for several years. It is focused on technique and ideas, and much less on gear, which I prefer. I always fine something of interest in each issue. Some mags have switched to a special digital version, such as Practical Photography, but I prefer the facsimile of the whole magazine like this one. I also get it a month sooner than I would in USA at a news stand. My favorite photo mag.

Poor!. After downloading the newest rev, I now must reload all issues from my years' subscriptions, and cannot load any of the numerous special issues I've purchased. Seems this should have been caught prior to release of this revision.

Thanks for the FREE app. I love my free app as described. Now I gladly pay for each issue.

Great Magazine. The magazine is great. I even bought a subscription but it did not seem to take. So even though it was great I did get what I paid for. Maybe I did not pay in the right currency but I expected Apple would have worked that out.

Bugged. This is a great magazine, but the bugs overshadow it's great content. For example, when I hit the "purchased" button and open an issue I've bought, app crashes. Or the new thing now, once you finally get into an issue, every other page is missing. This should be a 5 star app, but the issues are hindering it's performance. I only gave it a 3 because the content is extremely useful, just need the bugs fixed.

Functioning as intended. You can certainly tell who wants handouts and freebies by the rage reviews. This app functions just like all the other periodical subscription-based apps. Pay no heed to the welfare folks.

Don't listen to idiots. The people below, and probably more above, this don't read or have common sense. This is an actual magazine in digital form. Therefore, you WILL have to pay for a subscription, with several listed in the "Top In-App Purchases". The people leaving bad reviews are the people who don't read these things. The reason the reader is free is to allow you to still have it and pick and choose which magazines you want, should you choose to buy them individually. So yes, you do need to pay some money for subscriptions or individual magazines, just like in real life. Aside from that, this magazine is fantastic and teaches you so much about photography, it's techniques and new technology and how to use it. Now excuse me while I go get a subscription. :)

Restore purchases. App was updated and all my paid for mags disappeared. Yeh! Restore purchases doesn't work. Good one guys

Sick of con apps. I'm getting sick of app saying free, and they don't do anything untill you pay some money .. This is not free it's a con !!!!,!

Unusable. Constantly crashes upon opening.. Totally unusable.. I've lost all my issues.. Worst update ever!!!!!!

Dont!. just like other reviewers my upgrade removed previously puchased editions and special issues. The Help desk advised that the special issues could be downloaded again from the iTunes store, but my account has been charged again. A great publication, and useful technology for storing and retrieving back copies, but it needs to work! Despite several emails these issues are atill not resolved...... very unhappy

Deleted this App. I got so sick of the damn magazine always displaying the "New" sign even though I'd tapped on every edition that I deleted it and won't be going back. If you ever decide to give us something more than simple replica magazines I might take a second look but for now it's goodbye.

Rip Off. I subscribed, cant download any issues. Everything still coming up as full price. When you buy a sub you expect to be able to download at least one issue immediately. Nearly AU$50 wasted. Bah humbug!!

Worst app I've ever bought. Complete rip off. Paid obscenely expensive price to purchase issues and can't even get them to open. Waste of time.

It's ok but this is the Internet. This magazine is half adverts, the articles that remain are great, but all of this info is to found on the net and in more depth for free and without ads. Why buy when it's free and better elsewhere.
