Photoshop Express Photo Editor Comments & Reviews 2026
Easy to use. Great if you have an online store. My god this shaved about 40min per picture compared to what I was using before for stark white-flat-lays. Basically you only need basic understanding of... using apps... and you’ll be able to mess around with this and figure it out even if you’ve never used it before. Honestly. It’s user friendly IMO and way less “computer person” (lol) than the full photoshop computer program, yet you can edit pictures and make them look nearly as professional, or just as, depending on what you’re doing (like in my case to make the white backgrounds- this app lets me make pro-level ones). If you just want a picture to edit your selfies, this is probably a bit more advanced photoediting than say, FaceTune, and you probably need to know how to edit pix a bit more than you do on that app. But for anything professional, products, to make nature/scenic pix pop, to add text, etc- it’s fantastic. Also, it makes the best collages of any app I’ve ever used. Hands down. I really never review apps, but I love this one. And I love the sister apps that go with it. Fantastical. Seriously have no complaints that I can think of.
Better!. Update 2: Kudos to the developers who actually read these comments and care about user experience. The recent update allows for solid color backgrounds for collages however, this doesn’t completely fix the issue because of a few issues. 1. The color pallets for borders and backgrounds are different. 2. The color sliders for the CMYK and RGB are difficult to get a specific number on and 3. Even if you pick the same color, which is easiest to do using the themes, there is still a hairline border between the edge of the border and the edge of the background. I miss when I could just add radius to the border and not have to mess with the background. Update 1:This app was recently updated but the issue with collages remains. When you apply a radius borders the app creates a white layer that makes your border look terrible. There isn’t a solid fill option to fill the White later just patterns and gradients. The new update is a step backwards. The collage maker is not completely functional because you can't get rid of edges with out Mix. The text editor is woefully under powered compared to Fontcandy.
Please help🙏🏻. Hello, I know I probably won’t get a response but it’s worth a shot. I have downloaded more photo editing apps than you can imagine. I have tried so hard to figure this issue out and I can’t for the life of me. So I’m really desperate at this point. Can you please tell me how to resize an image without compromising the photo? PSexpress gives you the aspect ratio presets for different social media platforms to choose from. But, it doesn’t matter what I choose because it always cuts off my photo. I don’t want to do that. I want to be able to fit in the FULL size photo. If it means I could crop it into being a full sized photo, I would be willing to loose on the quality. And, I don’t want to put it on a white background so that the photo fits in that square because I would still be loosing on the photo. I want to be able to resize to whatever dimension I need to in order to fit the photo in different social media platforms. I know that a lot of these platforms automatically compress the photo for you but, I would like to resize it before I upload so I don’t compromise the photo, and it doesn’t get cut off. I have watch many videos yet, I can never get it. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could suggest what I can do to fix this frustrating problem. I would be so grateful!!
Photoshop Express or: How I Learned to Stop Supporting Adobe and Love Other Apps. What the heck happened to Adobe Photoshop Express? Once upon a time it was a free app that lacked many of the features that the full desktop version had, but it got most of my job done; whatever I couldn’t do on Photoshop Express, I did it on Photoshop Fix. Fast forward to 2024: Express now requires an annual subscription, nothing significant has been added to the app and whatever features they had, they made it more complicated. But perhaps the biggest insult is how they fully embraced the use of AI to create “art” by using stolen art from professional artists. And Adobe also discontinued Photoshop Fix and didn’t bother to tell the public that it was being pulled from the App Store, as well as rendering the app useless after 6/4. Hundreds of projects lost. Once my current annual subscription is up, I will be deleting the app. In the meantime, I will be using other apps that’ll take much longer to use, but free to download and doesn’t use AI. You’ve lost me and thousands of professional artists as customers, Adobe. You’ve lost sight of your target audience and have now catered to thieves. Shame.
Disappointed. In my experience the previous separate photoshop apps were superior in their functionality and now I’m being charged for the most basic of editing features that were previously free and have been around for decades. I adored the photoshop mix app and I mourn that I lost it after getting a new phone and cannot get it back. Unfortunately these are the kind of “updates” I have come to expect from adobe. The newer features that integrate machine learning are cool but how typically useful could they be if Adobe needs to put more basic features behind a paywall in addition to the new and interesting features?Maybe they would not need to try and give you less for more if they didn’t alienate customers with this kind of behavior in the first place. I’m sure this kind of strong arming and optimizing for the widest audience (having lots and lots of automatic features at the expense or instead of having fewer feautures that are complex and powerful in their functionality) pays off in the long run but it’s very disappointing as a creator. I would gladly pay a one time fee of like $25 to just have the mix app back but I dont think the current model is reasonable for basic photoshop on the go and it is less functional than previous iterations for my purposes.
Photoshop Express VS Aviary. I downloaded this app but never used it because I was so used to using Aviary even long after it was no longer supported or available in the App Store. I got so used to it and it was easy to use and free. Finally when I did an IOS upgrade it rendered Aviary useless. So I had to start using Photoshop Express. It is a lot harder to maneuver around than Aviary but it does have a more extensive and complex feature set. You will get hit with a lot of ads trying to get you to buy the subscription version. Be careful so of the ads are like land mines. You may think you are going to use an adjustment feature and it is a buy button. Be real careful using it, but it does give you really great results. This app does give you a lot of controls, but if you are in a hurry to to do a quick edit and send of a photo I would say try and find another app. I know how to use the desktop Photoshop very well and this app tries to give you those features but if you are on the go and want to do something quick and 123 while walking down the street, this is not the app for you.
It’s ok. Use it every day but that’s bc the other one isn’t showing up. the previous adobe all access version better for ipad. like fresco a lot tho - i think adobe needs to work on not only creating new products like fresco but empowering the community of creatives better. adobe bridge and lightroom now have many overlaps —- no one young uses bridge but it’s an imperative application!!! empower your community w knowledge. this isn’t about creating a super user friendly dumb down adobe bc you want regular people to use it... this should be focused on empowering designers of all breeds, whether graphic illustration photographer etc. LASTLY - YOU NEEED A LIVE WORK OR MOODBOARDING TOOL LIKE ENVISION FOR PHOTOSHOOTS and moodboards that can literally take the CD from an interactive call sheet where all members of the board can discuss the concepts before, during, and after the photoshoot, not to mention the features that automate create palettes.... adobe envision is the next frontier for you - it’s a creative lab that helps make big creative endeavors as painless as possible.
Before you Install. Regardless what you do and what time frame you do it in you will be charged for this free trial and charged repeatedly. When you go to cancel what is now your premium plan, you will have the most difficult and infuriating experience you have ever had trying to cancel a free subscription. You will be told there are technical issues and that you must wait a number of hours to try again. You will conversations with “customer service” employees terminated prematurely and then become non existent as they will not even begin a chat just end it. You will get to know the adobe forums and see that you are the 1,000,000th+ costumer with the same issue. I can’t understand how a company chooses to operate in this manner, it’s like being in an abusive relationship where the other person refused to accept that it’s over and does everything possible to stick around. You (Adobe) create your own negative customer interactions, why? Are you expecting the customer to just get frustrated with your games and just give up and keep paying for something they clearly don’t want. If you read this and still signed up for the free trial and had the same experience I did, you may be want to just save your money and use it to seek therapy for your masochistic behavior.
Photoshop fix&mix worked better. Im so glad i paid $100 for a worst version because you guys cant accept how much work people expect to get a paycheck and just want to create bugs and “fix” bugs all the time how come people could just buy software on a cd and it would work for years now “someone is always hacking your stuff thats not downloaded on individual devices and is just on our servers messing all of your stuff up all the time” or you have another excuse for bugs all the time? And needing updates? Because like i said we use to buy this stuff at walmart on a cd and you would be able to use it for years …. I guess you guys just really know how to work backwards and you guys are sooo not lazy getting a check for “updating” … why cant i use a smart brush on here why its it a square … you literally didnt have to change anything … if i ever find my iphone 8 im never connecting it to the internet so I can continue using photoshop fix because if you can use an app and not be connected to the internet it is downloaded to your phone … if you never connect to data then the app doesnt know its supposed to be cancelled
Powerful App but Pressures You to Buy. This app seems to be one of the best apps I have seen that gives you lots of options to edit your pics. One BIG downside is the constant pop-up windows that open after almost every edit you make when using the free version. I used the free version about a year ago and am now trying it again, and this newest version has many more pop-ups than earlier versions. I understand that developers want to sell their products and that is fine. It’s business. Some users may require a more powerful paid subscription. Moreover, free versions that may occasionally force a user to click through an advertisement here and there is fine, too. But the frequency with which pop-ups occur in this latest version is Horrendous and losing your work at every turn because the free version suffices for you rather than a more elaborate paid version, is down right Obnoxious. I hope the developers correct this soon, otherwise I WILL be shopping around for a new app.
No longer works for iPhone!. Ok I updated my phone app and very little is open, it says I need a subscription. How is it that it all continues to work on my iPad? I remember paying a one time fee (on my iPhone) that opened the adobe suite in the past. So I can only edit on my iPad only and all the adobe products seem very integrated on my iPad, but not on my iphone nothing works and pictures won’t open between any adobe apps. and I am logged in. I’ve hit restore purchases and nothing happens. There is nowhere in the app to buy any subscriptions or purchases, and nothing works correctly. So I give it three stars because it works (for now) on the iPad and all my purchases are there and open and apps still work, but not at all on the iPhone. And you can’t find any instructions on what to do to get purchases back or where to go to purchase again. There is no way to email the devs in any app. No instructions for iPhone at all and what works on my iPad does not handoff to iPhone! It was great and now is actually worthless (as I do most of my picture taking and editing on my iPhone) unless I airdrop my photos to my iPad.
Unstable and unusable after update. Please Fix!!!. Let me start out that I absolutely love Photoshop and I’ve been use it for over 15 years. Unfortunately, some of us in the creative world are limited to update at the same speed as others due to specific use cases for stability. Generally, Adobe is very good at planning for these. Unfortunately, it seems with this version of Photoshop on mobile. This version is basically useless if you haven’t upgraded to the new new iOS. Even though the app will update for you, it will just crash upon opening and won’t even trigger the Adobe crash alert. I hope Adobe fixes this issue soon as a number of us are running on older systems. After the latest update, my app will no longer even function. Note, if you’ve been a long time user of the synced cloud files, those have also been discontinued this month, and could cause your apps to have major issues with syncing. if you have the ability to access the full version of Photoshop, I’d highly recommend that over PS Express. Update: even on the new 17.2 this app will Not run.
It sure is cutting back my learning curve!. I’ve had the Photoshop software/app since 2009 but could never get the hang of it. But now, as an owner of a small breeding business in the age of TikTok where 85% of my marketing budget is digital, I was running out of options. Even though I had tried literally DOZENS of photo editing packages, nothing was having the impact I needed. PS Express changed that. They’ve taken Photoshop’s tools and made them accessible even to someone like me. The tutorials are clear and helpful and the little on screen descriptions are available for every scenario I’ve come across. And those assists are crucial when you normally fail at editing! 🫣 The only problem I have with the package is the cost. In order to access PS express and take advantage of all it offers I have to subscribe to a package that is packed with WAY more than I’ll ever be able to utilize. And the Creative Cloud is additional as is the access to the stock photo library for clip art etc. As I said, I’m a SMALL business owner and in addition we only have 2 (3 at the most) selling periods in a year, which means reallocating my marketing budget dollars to provide the funds to pay Adobe the other 9-10 months of the year. But it hasn’t broke me yet and I’m finally getting the hang of this. Hopefully by the end of summer I’ll have learned enough to utilize the options I’m paying for. Hopefully
Useless for what I need.. I went to Bazaart when Adobe pulled Mix & Fix. I’m so glad I did. I can now use cutouts and layering that are amazing and user friendly. How anyone can think Express works well for those functions boggles my mind. It is the absolute worst. I can’t believe I didn’t move on sooner. I do still use it for several other minor things. It’s a mere shadow of what Mix & Fix were. I would gladly pay to have them back. I can get better cutouts using my iPhone. The cutout feature is one of the worst I’ve worked with. The option of only having 5 layers is useless. It’s not user friendly, and this change in adding text is awful. You’re typing blindly and can’t see where it is you want it to gage how it will look. Even trying to make simple color corrections is awkward. So, I, along with many others, miss the 3 separate apps you could go between. Cramming them all together just isn’t working for me. I’ll go use PicsArt for now, at least you can layer more than 5, and the cutout is easier. PS is now garbage. I’m in the midst of trying new apps. I’m not sure how much longer I can continue with this one, but I may as well give my money to an app that is easier to use. Like I said, I’m already using my perfect iPhone cutouts and having to copy and paste them into where I want them. Express is that bad.
Ode to Photoshop Mix. I was always a little surprised that Photoshop Mix was free. It was a powerful editor with an intuitive UI and a great cut-out tool. Once it was deprecated, I hoped against hope that Adobe would create a suitable replacement. Adobe has every right to charge for their editors, but I wish they would respect me enough to tell me that up front. As I bumped into the virtual baby gates and drowned in a sea of “upgrade to premium” messages, it was clear that my go-to meme editor was gone forever. Worst of all, the features that I’ve tried on the new Photoshop app aren’t even as good as the old tools on Mix. The way of moving and resizing objects in an image was fast and easy. The old cut-out tool was elegant and precise. Why change it? I’ll always remember the good times I had with Photoshop Mix, and I am grateful to Adobe for giving me these precious years. However, I fear that I will never forgive Adobe for what they have done to my dear friend Mix. Only time will tell. In the meantime, I will be looking for photo editing apps which, hopefully, contain a shadow of the wonderful app I have lost. So long, Photoshop Mix. You will not be forgotten. - the admin of a high school meme account
Bug with Recent updates (~2mo's ago). I held off writing a review because I hoped Adobe would fix this problem. I enjoy this app very much and it's a robust, useful, full-featured app. BUT....accessing it via the Photos app (e.g., by clicking Edit and using PS Express to edit the photo in the Photos app interface) has become buggy all of a sudden. More than 75% of the time I edit a pic this way, when I go to save it the screen will go black and the little "working" animation will twirl around and around. And it never saves the changes. INFURIATING. Often I will close the Photos app, reopen it and try to edit it again only for the same result. Sometimes a third time is the charm and it will save the photo edits. Opening the PS Express app before doing this doesn't change the outcome. I prefer being able to quickly edit it via the Photos app as the workflow is easier than loading manually in PS Express directly (when I have many to go through). This only started about 2 months ago. I have iPhone 8, 256GB, latest iOS updates. Please please fix this, it's been a bug for long enough. Contact me if you'd like me to video record this happening or for help recreating the issue. Thanks!
Happy to pay for the annual fee. The phone app version of Photoshop is the best. Super intuitive, simple, and straightforward while still offering an effective range of editing tools, filters, etc. The iPhone app also hit its target in terms of maintaining the same high-quality final proofs that you get when using the desktop version. Photoshop and other Adobe editing programs are GOATED. Always #1 in my book. Nothing will ever top Photoshop and related adobe programs. Photoshop was the pioneer in editing tech and will forever exist as the standard for those who attempt to create similar apps. Worth every penny, every year. Whether I edit 50 photos or 500, I have not once regretted putting the money towards this app. The price is unbeatable and significantly less than the other, less powerful apps that are available in the app store. Thanks for keeping your prices fair and for constantly adding new features. I'll be a user until I can no longer edit photos!
Used to be amazing.. but keeps getting worse.. I used to love this app and everything about it. I’m sure to most professional photographers it may not be much, but for me, it does all I need, plus some. I have used this app for quite some time. There were issues in the past that happened very rarely that I was able to just look past due to the updates and bug fixes. However, now it’s basically not even worth it anymore. Half of the filters don’t work! I’ll tap one (one of my favorites) only to see it puts it back to its original setting and doesn’t put a filter on the photo at all, even though it says I have applied it. Before it would just be a few filters and then like I said before, an app update with bug fixes would help. Not literally 50-60% of the filters don’t work. You tap them only to see they put your photo back to the original setting. And no, this isn’t due to a premium setting type filter either. It’s both premium and basic filters. This app is practically useless now, which is a real shame because it was me favorite for the longest time.
Always the standard. Sure, I’ll get excited about a new app with a unique feature or one with the standard offerings packaged differently enough to qualify as a novelty or disguise itself as a convenience - but they always fail to perform for long (usually get sluggish or think annoying commercials are what I deserve for using the product) and my excitement gives way to rational thought, and rational thinking is the antidote to impulse buying. But I win because while I may be out a couple dollars I learned something and I end up where I was doing well and knew the team on the other side of the app represent the gold standard in their industry. The only less than stellar features I’ve found were in the collage mode where resizing is not as simple as I’d like. Turns out it’s easier to delete the cell or whole collage than it is to edit it or find the help menu in a hurry. Every other feature and function is top notch and you can count on the Adobe team to keep it running smoothly.
Pay to try it. If you’re like most people who finally bought a super nice camera and you shot something in RAW and you thought “I’ll download PhotoShop and use it to edit a couple quick photos” well just know that NONE of the features in this app are available to try for free. You absolutely have to sign up for the “trial period” and remember to cancel before they charge you full price and that just to try it. I never have liked this auto payment method because they are all set to bill you and take your money long BEFORE you actually get to try it. It should legally say pay in 7 days weather you like it or not IF you want to really test out our software. I mean I get it, it’s supposed to be good software but these days there are tons of GREAT software available for free and plenty of AMAZING software makers who also charge a fee and yes there are a few exactly like PhotoShop who want to change an on going subscription but honestly, I’m not a subscription guy. They tend to add up real quick and before ya know it, I’m not using what I am paying for, yet again. If you don’t like subscriptions, don’t use this app. If you wanted to try out the software BEFORE buying it, DONT USE THIS APP. Keep looking for something or multiple somethings that give you ONLY what you need or want instead of a ridiculous overly proud app.
Worth the Learning Curve. While PS Express is quite intuitive and user-friendly, there is a curve to get through to become proficient with it. It is my go-to tool for quickly adjusting and enhancing, both my iPhone pix, as well as my blue-tooth generated Sony Ar3 shots. Like the desktop version of Photoshop, Express is deeper than meets the eye. It probably has more features than most people will find the need for using, but thats one of the cool things about it! There’s plenty of tools from basic pic enhancements to a bit flashy, for everyone! I can’t say I ‘m doing too much with selections/masks here, as I mostly am working from my iPhone (I also have it installed on my iPad), and using my forefinger as the stylus! Not much for finnesse, but I get some great results working generally on entire photos this way. For more critical work, I save for my desktop. I give Express 5 stars, but give yourself plenty of time to get comfortable with it. It’s worth the effort!
Must have for everyone of all ages and with beginner to advanced knowledge of photo “editing”. It’s everything you can expect from Adobe! The favorite , to me anyway, is the collages variety! It’s not just squares beside each other, you got everything you can imagine including cool shapes like triangles or circles with as many photos as you can want( I don’t know that for sure , but so far I have used a collage with 12 photos and it looked awesome! The shapes also are aligned in many ways to make a huge impact and you can also size them each individually. It literally almost limitless what you can accomplish with these bold and exciting new look of collages! You can also add text with many options of the best fonts and can input them with “templates “ that are basically awesome quotes that you see on Pinterest or Facebook except you can edit the words, font, and color even the alignment ! Highly recommend !!!! I used it to sell things on offer up , eBay, or any site because it enables you to put everything on the first photo along with the price or info in a eye catching design that entices buyers to click to view your item(s)!!!
Love, love love. Photoshop Express is a lifesaver. I used to use full version Photoshop back in the day when you could buy the full version on disc and use it for a number of years. I can’t afford a year subscription to do two or three photo resolution projects a year. I wish Full Photoshop could be used month-to-month so you could pay when you needed certain features then let it lapse until you needed again. They are missing some extra cash they could make off someone like me!! Meanwhile Photoshop Express is my number one choice. I like it better than Canva. I use it frequently. It allows me to do most everything I need and it’s not horribly expensive. I use it to resize things for various social media. I like the stickers and effects. It has about everything you really need. I make signs, handouts for my Mah Jongg class, silly things for the internet, cards that I can email or message. You can edit photos also. I can’t begin to list all the things you can do. Check it out it’s a quality product.
Less free options with each update. This used to be an awesome little app. However with each upgrade they add more options that you have to then pay for which I can understand. However they change some of the options that used to be free to make you pay for them instead when you’re used to being able to use them for free. For those of us that might use the app once a month or once every couple months to maybe put some text on a picture to adjust the color on a picture it’s not worth it to pay for a subscription or to pay to use these little features that used to be free. And the worst part is they don’t even list which ones you’re going to have to pay for you go when you do the work you add the text and everything and then when you go to save that’s when they tell you that you’ve used an option that you have to pay for. That’s just a dirty tactic in my view. I’d rather see two versions of this app one the bare-bones version that is free for those of us that only he was at a few times a year and then the paid for version which is got more stuff. But don’t give us some thing for free for a while and then take it away that’s just wrong
So much fun!. I’m having a lot of fun designing my own inspirational posts from my own photos. Adobe PsX makes this very easy with the editing of each layer. There could be some minor improvements, eg in the stroke for fonts (I haven’t figured out to cancel out of that once it’s in place without deleting the text and starting over completely) and the choice background color of the message in combination with the font color (which I would like to be able to make my own combinations for), or the spot correction that doesn’t allow for spot darkening/lightening, as far as I can tell and the spot correction that takes a blob from not always the best next spot over & creating a layering of branches instead of a darker spot in the background kind of thing. Overall this app provides a lot of excellent features. There are also other Adobe apps that connect into it with ease, but I haven’t had the need to use them in conjunction with this one. My concern is that at some point Adobe will turn around and charge me for use of the whole thing or have a monthly subscription for it making an older version obsolete, as is my experience with another Adobe product I used for years and don’t use enough to get a monthly for. This trepidation and minor adjustment mentioned above (maybe I need to check out the help section on this) made me drop a star. In the end Adobe is amazing and does deliver with its photo development apps.
A mixed bag.... There are some things I really like about the app, and some things I really dislike. Positives: I really like the ability to create custom looks. This is a huge time saver... pull up a photo, apply your own personal style, and the photo is ready to save. I also like the adjustment tools as a whole. They are intuitive, easy to use, and cover my needs for post processing. Negatives: I hate the social part of the app. Every time I start the app, someone’s hoot pops up and I need to exit this to get to my photos. For social feeds, I use Instagram and I shouldn’t be force fed social media just to modify my pictures. This is a more recent update... you didn’t get that splash screen in the past. Ideally we should be able to disable this in settings. The other negative is the app can be slow or crash at times. This has happened for well over a year, and I originally thought it was my old iPhone. Nope... same issues when I got my iPhone X at the end of last year. It will freeze on a photo and take a couple of minutes to make one adjustment. This doesn’t happen in other photo processing apps I’ve used, just this one. Overall, it’s still the app I use most often for ease of use... I just wish the social splash could be turned off, and that the stability would improve... and I’d give it a 5.
Best app for amateurs and professionals while on their phone. I started using Adobe Photoshop in 1992 while in College to become a photojournalist. I remember still the awe I felt going to Mrs. V’s class. What incredible things would I see today? I try to hold on to those feelings in a world now full of altered images. It’s exciting, yet sad, that we seem to have lost ourselves in the realm of the surreal. I believe this app is incredible. There is no competition for handheld devices. Constantly improving while keeping its roots steady. At this point, I use the remove flaws tool as I used the original clone tool with great precision. If you’re at all confused or frightened by all the options photoshop has to offer, my advice to you is the words Mrs. V once told me...Just play. If I could give you any advice for improvement, I’d say look to the filters on instagram. I still prefer their options to any others offered here. And the effects offered by Carbon are brilliant! I’d add a Leica effect for selective focus and unique background pixilation and a hasselblad effect for a medium format look. That’s all. And if I could have my old clone tool with the choice of brushes...I’d be in Heaven. Thank you!
$.$$ A Month For This? Yeah Right. I'm not sure what's going on with these adobe applications. These ridiculous prices every month... Basically, there is another bill, which is too crazy for me, because on my device, I am limited to certain things. But this company will charge me the full amount, as if I received the full package, but I didn't. This is also because of the type of iPad I have. To be honest, it's definitely not super old, so I'm really shocked. IN AUGUISHING, I WOULD SAY THAT DUE TO MY PERSONAL USE AND EXPERIENCE, THERE IS NO SHAPE, FORM OR FASHION, THIS APPLICATION AND SOME OTHER APPLICATIONS UNDER ADOBE PHOTO EDITING SERVICE ARE NOT WORTH A dime! I guess they branded the name of adobe, especially the brand of "photoshop". People can really use their magic here... The company feels that they can throw a $ label on people's heads. But this is not it! There are many free apps that do the same thing, but they come with several annoying advertisements. It doesn't matter to me... I try not to be an extremely cheap person, but I swear I can't find any value of this application, especially. In my personal opinion, Adobe should be ashamed of deceiving people for this! This is very basic, so why not free? I'm still trying to figure out what makes it worth the monthly price? I will definitely wait...
StopPromoting me to review this. Iv reviewed this app like 20 time and continue to get printed to(like there isn’t even a x to close the window it just keeps bringing me here. And it’s always when stuff gets worse. Stop asking me to review it lol I pay for the premium or whatever and I’m bombarded with stupid “adds” while I can only edit photos 10/20 at a time before everything I click and every file prompts “cannot be opened”. Reset the app and I can edit maybe 6 more before the errors come again. Random crashing as if I actually go on a streak of editing without errors, but that’s less frustrating than having to reset the app every 10 minutes so I can actually get some editing done... Also the update that made it so I can’t access/edit photos from my own phone, on because the app needs to now be connected to the internet so you have the option to post on their “social media” built in dashboard.... I don’t want that.... I want to edit my photos..... I don’t need to see other peoples work(even if it is cool) I need to edit the photos on my phone so I can download/upload/take more photos to continue the cycle.... Ask me to review. I do it because the close button is blocked, do a stupid review, go back edit one photo and BOOM REVIEW OUR SHITASS APP. Well it would be better if I didn’t have to review the app every photo I crop and and center.... plus whatever else I wrote before...
Business Model Flux & Selling Data?. The App is good but a few things have left me miffed. Firstly, changing what features are available after I’ve already paid for the App is very annoying. My experience: first it’s free, then certain features cost money. I thought: that’s fair and anted up and bought the features that were behind that pay wall . And now features that I regained access to after paying are now restricted past an additional subscription-based model requiring a monthly or yearly fee. I’m not saying the app isn’t worth the fee—it’s great—and I understand that business models change—but what would be fair is to either let people who paid already to be grandfathered in, or at the very least offer an obvious refund for those who paid originally and don’t want to commit to continuous payment. Secondly, Why do you need access to all my photos? Other apps have come up with convenient interfaces to share what is necessary. I’ve already paid for the app, do you really need to sell my data also? Right now, one must restart the app every time they want to share additional photos. And many apps have more convenient methods—it definitely seems like a way to usher the user toward sharing all their photo data.
Best editing app ever!!!!. I love this app! It’s also free and I am so thankful for that because I don’t have that much money but I love taking photos it’s one of my hobbies. On this app u can add filters that look awesome. You can also add blur which makes the photo look great! This app is rlly easy to use and I rlly like it. Btw don’t like ever write reviews for apps but this app is the best and a must have for photographers or anyone rlly. I have pics that I don’t rlly like and want to delete but before I delete them I edit them in this app the I rlly like how it turns out and ❤️ the pick. I also recommend huji which is not rllya editing app but it’s a camera app, but I like ps express more. I high recommend this app fr yo. Get it lol. (Sry for any grammar mistakes I didn’t reread it cuz rn I want to edit more of my photos) Anyways trust me get this app u won’t regret it. When I tell someone and tell them to trust me on this I mean it and I know it’s true and they may not believe then but in the future they thank me so much. So u may not believe but just try and then maybe like spiritually thank me. P.S. your welcome for recommending it (ik that at least 94% of the people who read this comment will be so thankful, I did my calculations)
Textual Evidence Taken Out of Context. Hmm, it asked me to write suggestions on how to improve the text options in PS Express, however, I am scratching my head because the title to this screen now requests a review. I’ll do both, I surmise. Onward! This document is a basic bar graph. I figure it is worth noting that while I opened fresco, I closed it once I realized it doesn’t have the bar graph function. Because I often find myself wondering what qualifications strangers have to write podcasts or even these, my disclaimer is that I am inexperienced in all photo editing & quite unqualified for an educated review on these topics: social media posts, memes & scrapbooking. I did find it punctual that this review asking me to comment on the type features in PSExpress was requested at precisely the moment I was attempting to airdrop my image to my iMac out of frustration… the basic options afforded for typing on my photo didn’t work at all. I offer little, but the reason is more from my hands’ neuropathy than fodder for discussion: Please set a a text box that I can format of my own choosing and not so preset. Thanks!
A mess. This is, I think, my first actual review on the App Store. I feel compelled to put my grievances out there so I can (hopefully) deter you from downloading this. This app is a nearly complete downgrade from the older Photoshop Mix for me. For all the flashy and new UI and “features,” you can’t even do something as basic as custom cropping or extending frames, (That I’ve been able to figure out.) leaving you having to then edit the photos outside of the app to get the dimensions/aspect ratio you actually want. Everything is hidden behind menu after menu, and figuring it all out is unintuitive and clunky. I shouldn’t have to be searching online for easy things such as how to custom size my photos- it should just be there. My workflow is mostly spent sifting through the menus to find the thing I want to do, only to have it not be there some of the time. Mix was also a bit scant compared to the full Photoshop, but it’s intuitive and you still had many of the basic functionalities to work with and get creative. Just stick with Mix and make yourself a burner Adobe account (if it’s still available on the store) until it reaches complete end of life. Then just do the editing with something else since Adobe is insistent on rolling back basic functionalities and adding bloat with every new iteration of their programs.
The Older I Get, the More Analog I become.. The Photoshop CC Updates have such amazingly powerful tools which make version 1 look like a toy. All 173 kilobytes of the disk which I could actually own. The older I get the more Analog I become. I don’t think I need all the bells and whistles of everything that Photoshop CC is capable of. It’s truly amazing but it’s just not something I would use to be efficient. I still use PSCC but as the program began to grow into a lot more than photo editing. I find myself using PS Express more often than PSCC. Most of my work does not require more than PS Express and Lightroom and Lightroom Classic where I spend most of my time editing my works. I’m stubborn and will continue to use PSCC, as it is included in the Photo Plan. Adobe is the most stable software in my opinion. Whichever you prefer,…both are the standard of performance. Thanks. I just wish subscription apps would vanish. I have a problem with paying for software for my entire life.
Undeserving of the photoshop name. With affinity photo and other zillions of this type of app out there, this is kind of an embarrassment. To each their own, and not knocking anyone for liking it, but as a professional, this app - and their others - are not what you’d expect from adobe if you’ve relied on them for desktop software in the past. I can see plenty of instagrammers and selfie takers loving this, and that’s great - it’s nice to go beyond what apple stock apps and Instagram filters have to offer. 👍 However - Their scatterings of iOS apps meant to ‘add up’ to a pseudo-desktop ‘suite’ of features and offerings is exactly that - scattered. And highly frustrating because of it. There should be a much more robust amalgam of these apps for the iPad. Which the competition has already completed, so one must assume that adobe was and is always going to consider their iOS apps as lightweight apps for your phone only. Too bad, really. I appreciate adobe sketch, and I know that some of these apps have some perks and are designed fairly well, so it’s not like incompetence, it’s a plain and metered decision by adobe. With their pricey subscription model on desktop, and this ‘strategy’ for iOS, I can’t see them being top dog for much longer. Affinity and others may swallow them up while they remain somewhat oblivious and/or too profit-minded to survive this mobile/new-school editing software revolution.
My go-to app for quick edits. I love all of the Adobe CC suite apps but this one probably gets the most day to day use. Unlike other editing apps, I've never had a crash and lost work, it is extremely stable, and doesn't lag when applying changes... Unlike some other apps that are badly optimized as far as ram usage. I like that you can make and save your own filters, in other apps I can achieve the same look I want but if I want to apply it to multiple images it's a pain in the neck of remembering the order of settings and their intensity. With PS Express that hassle is no more. It's so versatile too, I can use it to crop and adjust before importing (easily, I might add) into another image editing app, but I can ALSO do the reverse and use PS Express for the finishing touches. It all depends on the task at hand and what I want to achieve. I'd give it five stars if it had layers, though importing into Mix, among others, gives me that option so it's only a minor annoyance as some images could be done fully in Express if it gave the option for layers. But it's a really amazing app nonetheless and I highly recommend it.
I love PS. I use this app a lot express myself by typing over pictures. What I find missing is shadows for the letters, better control over the alignment too. These are attributes that could be improved. Also, I haven’t found any way to coordinate the text and the picture after I type the text. Otherwise, this app serves me pretty well. I’ve tried other apps, but for me Adobe serve me the best. Although I find it a bit expensive, I decided it’s worth the cost. It gives me a huge variety of ways to express myself in a creative way. They’ve been in the business about ever since the dawn of the PC. They know what they are doing, the product is reliable and it works. But with every new product the learning curve is getting out of hand. I like to learn on the fly in my own projects, and an integrated Ai voice guide would be a great improvement, because I don’t like looking at some instructor on another screen with all their blah blah telling me how to do their project. They make me feel like a child, it’s annoying and a lot of what I learn gets lost on the way trying to capture the essence ce of what I want to learn.
People should read descriptions. This isn’t photoshop, it’s PS express and is strictly a very basic photo editor, primarily for editing photos for like social media and stuff. It’s pretty obvious based on recent reviews that people aren’t reading descriptions and then writing negative reviews because they failed to read and just hit download, and because they want products for free. This app is great for very basic photo adjustments and expression. It’s intuitive and easy to navigate, and provides all the basic photo editing one needs. It’s not Photoshop and isn’t for removing parts of images, if you want that, you’ll have to use PS on a desktop. Not sure why people expect everything to be free, it’s 2020 and people need to pay their bills and eat, to expect developers to just give you their hard work for free is plain silly and selfish. If you don’t want to pay for it, find another app full of ads instead of complaining on reviews that you have to pay for a product you’re using.
I love you photoshop express ❤️. I’ve been using this app almost daily for about 11 months now, and besides draining my poor old iphones battery, while simultaneously raising its temperature to rival that of the earths core, i will use it every day for a long time. It’s perfect for what I need it for, which is editing photos for a fairly popular blog I run centered around stuffed animals. I own photoshop on desktop and I still prefer photoshop express for my editing and it’s simplicity and intuitive UI. The UI and UX designers of this app deserve a huge shoutout (and fat christmas bonus) for their amazing work on this app! I have the premium version due to having a photoshop license and it’s a huge part of why I love this app and adobe fresco- i really feel like i’m getting a bang for my buck. I hate desktop photoshop with its constant crashes and complex and unintuitive interface, but this app not only handles its rare crashes much better and saves almost all of your work it also simplifies a lot of the more complicated things photoshop is known for. The combine photos feature is a master piece! The only suggestion I have is most likely unrealistic- it’d be nice to add more than 5 image layers when using Combine Photos. I’m sure resources are the issue preventing this though so I’m fine with it being 5. Thanks developers for your outstanding work!!
Y’all buy it it’s amazing y’all but need some fixing!. So I like this a lot but when I edit a pic it would take a long time to get to makeup and even when I have WiFi and other stuff I need it well take a long time and even with everything else and why do we have to buy premium? Literally I do not have money on me y’all so pls make it free and update it to get premium my sister is so not into this so I think you should make it kid allowed to and also some kiddy thing to because she loves slime so probably some slime stickers? Cause maybe some boy things to because I think boy are not liking the girl stickers at all and they fell left out so maybe that too? I know this is a long review but still this is things beginners need to read and when it get fixed I will let y’all know on a new review so y’all I will give it three stars y’all I recommend it to edit you pictures so buy it y’all and support this app pls it is so much fun and you have to make it where you can play when you are off line so pls do all of this and sorry I been saying lots of y’all so have a great day or the rest of the day
Product Review With Request. I've used Adobes photo apps for a long time and honestly think that their app layouts are Numero Uno. Lightroom, PS Express, and Photo Fix are used everyday and I couldn't do what I do without Adobe. Well I probably could, but it wouldn't be as easy as it is now. Now If I was able to design the final piece to my -Adobe Photo Maintenance Collection-, it would be an app that would allow the user to analyze any photograph to determine if that photo is actually the original image, or if it's been munipulated. An example of munipulation would be receiving an image that has possibly been overlayed with another image, maybe it's had parts removed by cutout, or something was erased. An app like that would be to cool. If possible the app would attempt to reconstruct the image to it's original glory. The user could just tap a fix photo button and the program would attempt to remove as much of the overlay / cover-up as possible, then it would attempt to rebuild the photo to it's original look. While your at it could you all throw in a simple -Focus My Blurred Photo button-. Just take a blurred photo that's recognizable and bring it into focus. I mean it's all 1's and 0's right? I'm sure you guys and girls at Adobe have got this wrapped up already. Cheers!
Used for less than an hour. I used this app for less than an hour on Thanksgiving with no success. I should have cancelled the free 7 days then, but was traveling and forgot. Then I find this known charge on a credit card I don’t even use and had to search to find it what it was. They charged me for an entire year! I found another place that has an option for a monthly charge, but they charged me for a whole year. And there’s also another place that says to send a receipt and that was selected. But I have no idea where they sent a receipt. I cancelled it right away and then looked everywhere to try to contact them with no success. It has a place that says “help us improve” and when I click on that it says to put in an email. I searched for a place to put in an email in hopes of contacting them but could not find one. On my profile it only has a place for name and company. If I have to pay, I’d rather it be for just the north and not an entire year. This is how these companies make billions. They let you try something for free for a week and then figure most people will forget and then automatically charge you! I never gave them a credit card number so now have to figure out how to get all credit cards untied wherever they got it from. Don’t sign up for the free trial!!!!
Has been my go-to for years now. I have used the free photoshop express app on several generations of iPhones. Before Apple had editing right there in your iPhone photos. But honestly, even since the Apple editing has been included I still prefer using this Photoshop app. I’m no professional by any means so I have no idea how to articulate what it is that’s better lol but. I feel it’s extremely user friendly and has great options and features/tools to use in the free version (I’ve never even considered the premium). And... if you have used any other photo editing apps then you KNOW what I mean about the apps just suddenly kicking you out. Seriously aggravating when they just suddenly shut down and close the app thereby losing your edits and whatnot. I have never had that issue with this photoshop express. There are no advertisements either like some apps have. Previously, I would have said that I wish it had a couple other features so that I didn’t have to go to another second or third app to doodle on the pics or add a text overlay etc. but it appears as if they have added these things now! So, before I start sounding like a paid advertisement lol I digress.
It's great, it is just not even as powerful as Photoshop was in 2005. The app is great, but it lacks so many tools that were available even on Photoshop versions 5, 6, & CS. From around TWENTY+ years ago! Like I said, it’s okay, but it’s far from GREAT, and I’ve had to buy 5 additional software packages that ALL TOTALED was less that the cost of photoshop, just to do ALL the things that I could easily have done with Photoshop in 2001, even on the stripped down photoshop elements! But if you like clone stamp, or the push/drag tools they’re here, so touching up dust hairs, or minor scratches are great. So is straightening something abnormally curved or vise versa. But you DO get a bunch of stuff your daughter would really love vis á vis filters for her Instagram pics, and TikTok videos. Also you can easily change a persons face to have bigger eyes, high cheek bones, and even completely different make up! It is good at doing what it Does. Unfortunately, if you are over 35, these “tools” may seem a little… “why would I ever need to cover the bridge of everyone’s nose with a line of butterflies?”.
Extremely Unhappy. I go to edit a picture in Photoshop Mix, an app I’ve been using for years now regularly, and had a number of work-in-progress projects that I was halfway finished with that all of the sudden today I open the app to find are vanished into the ether for no reason that I can find until I start googling the reason and I find that it’s been discontinued in favor of this app, which costs over $100 a year to use and is much less easy to work with, plus I can’t get my projects back still because apparently my Apple ID is not tied to any adobe account and so there are no backups for that work. There was no notification within the app itself, so I would have had no way of knowing this was about to take place so I could at least save my work. Adobe is doing this purely to squeeze as much cash from their consumers as they are physically capable of, and frankly they can get bent, after this I refuse to pay for a piece of Adobe software again as long as I live. You couldn’t force me to use this app at knifepoint. Open source alternatives will always be superior in the end and this is enough of a push to me that I will be looking to replace as much Adobe software in use on my devices as I am capable of in the future. For shame, I expect nothing and yet I am still disappointed.
Excellent App; Two Suggestions.... This will make your photos freaking sparkle! A sweet and free photo editing app that offers a lovely and helpful arrangement of filters, effects, and tools for your general and extra photo needs. It has a sleek design and I genuinely enjoy using it. It made my regular old photos pop within a few seconds- it looked like I’d taken professional photos- pretty impressive! I even edit HD wallpapers to my taste- super sweet. However, there are 2 suggestions I’d make: 1. The ability to save while you’re editing, I.e. ‘save progress’ instead of just saving once at the end. Sometimes I get stopped in the middle of editing to take another photo or just because I have to leave the app. 2. Allow users to apply more than one design effect per save. It’s laid out so that the editing process goes in order from filters/design effects, to cropping, lighting/color/clarity/contrast adjustments, to red eye etc. So you can’t apply more than one design effect per process- ex. If I wanted to add the design effect of ‘soft’ AND ‘spring’ I’d have to edit the first time with one, save it, and edit the new photo again to apply the second design effect- which is a tad annoying because often times I’d like to layer my effects. I usually just edit the new saved photo to curbside this feature. Overall an excellent introduction into photo editing apps- this is making me consider investing in more editing apps. I’m highly pleased with this :) solid 4/5!!
Adobe photoshop editing app review. I’ve only recently started using this app! It’s been on my phone for a while but i didn’t really have any interest in it. My phone used to be my mom’s and she had all the Adobe apps because she worked for the company! Anyways moving to the review part of this. I found it to be helpful to edit my photos that I took either of nature or myself or friends or find cool photos on the internet and kind of add on to their beauty. I then discovered the discovery page where people share their edits. I love it! I’ve always wanted people to see what I can do with photography as photography has a very special place in my heart. I love how people can like your photos. It’s like Instagram but it’s not like Instagram. What I mean by that is people share photos about their lives or what seems important to them and whether someone likes it or not you don’t have to worry about people thinking otherwise. The thing that separates this app from any other social media is there are no area for comments. I know comments are like the danger zones in social media! It’s scary to enter the comments not knowing what someone may think of what you post. This app makes me feel safe and comfortable about what i post. So over all I would recommend this app to anyone from 9 and up!
Great Photo Editing. I have always been a great fan of Adobe Photoshop on my computer but I don’t consider myself an expert by any means. - I love that you can easily cleanup pictures. - It works great to transform the wide angle lense —— This helps for amazingly clear submitting pictures for my reports - I love the additional touches it does for clarity, textures, removing blemishes, and the easy magic easer wand —— I was worried I would “fat finger” the image, but this app easily corrects that issue The only downside, which is more of a suggestion than anything else is if there was an easy “Add a text box”. ——Instead you have to scroll through quotes, finding a certain font, changing the color, then make it fit I just find it to be counter productive when you have such a smoothly made app. The feature as quotes works perfectly enough, but it’s just a bit more time consuming. It adds up when I have to submit 15 photos a day and my reports already take plenty of time to create as it is.
Powerful app when it works. I love using this app to quickly edit my cell phone photos. The variety and ease of the tools are great and allow me to make precise edits to get my photos to look exactly the way I want. I have many presets that I’ve created and saved to the “My Looks” menu that make it easy to replicate my favorite edits across many photos over time- a huge benefit to speed and consistency. However, the app is buggy. It freezes or crashes often. It can be very slow and get “stuck” when switching between menus in the app. And sometimes, it just won’t open certain images. These issues have not been a deal breaker for me- usually shutting down the app and restarting is all that is needed. But it is frustrating and slows down the process when I’m trying to edit several photos. One other wish for this app: once I save a series of edits to “My Looks”- I can no longer see the edit “recipe” for that edit. I wish there was a way to look at the “Looks” you’ve created and see the edits that you used to create that look. Overall, great app- very powerful and gets used almost daily. Like most things in life, does have room for improvements.
Honestly. Easily a 5 Star app if not for adobe’s constant angling for more money and more user data, updates that reduce functionality and unexpectedly lock you out of the app just so they can demand your email address in order to track and market to you. They already had the market cornered and had one of the most loyal customer bases of an software company that they’ve built up since the earliest days of Macintosh computers. They are ubiquitous in the desktop publishing industry world wide with zero competitors in sight (at least once quark dodo’ed out). Now that they’ve introduced their monthly leasing structure for their flagship products they are not only destroying what they’ve built up until now but more importantly they’ve stopped cultivating younger generations of loyal users who will choose other photo editing software packages that have a relatively minimal one price tag. No ones going to stop using photoshop who’s used it for years but students and other new users will be using other more affordable options. Basically I rant to say that adobe decided to bleed the goose that laid the golden egg for bigger quarterly gains. Suckers ruining a good thing. But this app for the iOS is on point and tight, if you know what your doing and not just interested in pre-fab filters there’s an impressive amount of photo editing options here. Get it together before that golden egg laying goose flys the coop.

Dubious Subscription Charge. This morning I subscribed to a three day free trial to see if the new Adobe PS Express would work for my new project. After half an hour of testing etc. I cancelled the subscription only to find you have debited my savings account $60 for a yearly subscription!!! I have raised a disputed charge on my account with my bank and have no way if contacting Adobe to dispute this charge directly. Your contact support button is a blank page. I have been using apple apps for years and this has never happened to me.
PS Express. Thank you for your beautiful app and hard work gone into creating the app and all the apps new additions and other updates. I really enjoy using this app. I have turned so many very average photos into photos really worth Putting up on display or framing and giving as presents. The variety of different ways you can edit your photos from black and white to almost any theme or add effect to enhance it just for fun or because it really needs some attention to detail. I have so many hours of fun with the app I recommend it to anyone even if you don’t think you are a very good photographer you can and will be and surprise yourself with some of the absolutely most stunning, beautiful and amazing array of photos and collages possibly. You don’t even need to have a imagination the app gives you plenty enough ideas to make a grim picture and work or art. A photo of perfection. Everyone should at least try the app especially as the 3 days free trial allows you to decide if you will really use it or benefit from having it. Personally I would never be without it again.
BEST EDITING APP !!!. Omg this is the best editing app in the world. You can edit photos even offline like when your in the car. You can also edit and make collages. You can see what other people are up too as well. I have never had a bug or error when using this app. I have had this app for more than year. If your looking for a great editing app this is for sure the one! Out of all the photo editing apps that I have tried this for sure is one of the best!
Good and getting better. This is a great app, and the phone version is essential for quick photos on the go. However for more detailed photos that I like to edit on my iPad, I used to use the other Adobe product, Photos by Aviary. Now I have a new iPad, and can’t download Aviary as it has been removed and I’m being directed to this. Which, as I said, is good and getting better all that time. And yet... it still lacks a lot of the options and functionality that I had in Aviary. Where are all my frames? Where are all the fantastic filters? I know these are not in the far more complex and not very mobile full Photoshop, as I have to use that for work. So my verdict is use this, it is simple and you will get good results. But developers - now you have taken Aviary away from us, PLEASE can you put more of the features from that into Photoshop Express. I’m happy to pay for the packs if necessary, but I really want my vintage filters and silkscreen frames. I also miss the gallery, I really loved the feature of watching how people’s completed photos were edited. I became better at editing my own photos through browsing that gallery. Or do I really have to keep my old iPad 4 JUST to keep editing photos in Aviary so I can keep access to frames and filters? Really? Sigh.
OMG do Not waste your time on this. I am super disappointed with this app- you have to pay for everything trust me I paid for it but you can’t even buy it 😡all your hard work for that money just disappears the app probably has millions of 💰💴💵💸💶💷from all the poor people whose money has been paid to photoshop express so if you’re interested in it please do not buy this app!! Go to the App Store and find a different one please, please , and please!!! Lots of love to you guys, but lots of annoyance and hate to ps xpress .Adobe is a great company, so don’t hesitate to get any other apps from them - I have them all - the best one is Artleap, but please don’t get ps xpress unless you want to waste money, time, and brain power do not get this app Love Faolan
Disappointed.. I used this app to photoshop my photos a few years ago, but because i never really needed it, i deleted it to add more space. Recently i re-downloaded it, and tried to use the basic functions that i was able to use for free, only to find out no, it’s not free anymore. I’m a minor, so i can’t really pay for the basic functions, and photoshop in general alsays needed ‘subscription’, again, which i don’t have the money for. I’ve found an alternative way, and am very pleased to say i am never recommending this app to anyone. Did once in the past, never will in the future. Disappointing.
I’m a duh. Ok so. I’ve had this app for few years. Never used. Today all I wanted was to change my background photos to black. Simple. I don’t want anything else. And I can’t or don’t know how to even do that. Yes I’m old!! They kept asking me for upgrade but I thought it is a free app. I don’t want to pay just to change a background on some photos. So please help. Thank you
Good app but.... You know how you can share your photos with other people who use the app? I just find that the liking system really needs to improve. People are getting thousands of views on stunning pictures but only getting a few likes. I’ve posted my own photos that aren’t the top photos but they’re pretty good and I’ve got no likes! I know the point of this app is to enhance and photoshop pictures but it’s quite rude of people to just view photos and not like them when they’re amazing photos!!! I just think the people on the app need to step up and like other peoples picture more and give them credit for their stunning work! And also I’d like to broaden the range of photos to other people’s hobbies and preferences instead of just lands and people.
A great app ruined by too many features. I have used this app daily for years and it was always a great app to quickly enhance photos manually with quality results. Until recently. Now, with all the new features added the app seems to be struggling, and merely opening an image for editing has considerable lag time making it practically unusable. I’ve updated my iOS, updated the app.. still lagging and glitchy. It’s a shame because this was previously the best editing app going!
Great app... but.... This is my go-to app for all my Photo editing on my iPhone. The addition of the text feature has made it even better. BUT... when you select a photo from the library outside PSExpress then choose to edit in the app, the text option isn’t there. To be able to add text you have to select the image when already in PSExpress. A small bug but a little annoying. Still me fav editing app tho!
Nice Program. Very good, although at first it’s bit confusing which operations are subscription only. Also, some functions are not obvious what they do, but that may be because I am used to doing the more complicated editing when I last used digital photo software on a PC from the year 2000. Otherwise, very impressive - especially for a phone. Because I’m too lazy to edit photos on my computer.
What about cropping?. In the cropping mode, there’s an option to social media crop and the other cropping Simply but I don’t like it and the only reason that I want to use that is for when I want to crop outside of the photos area why because most apps already asked you to do that anyway and what happens is it ends up cutting out a part of the photo, I used to just go to photo gallery click on photo and zoom out so some of my photos are in the background Probably use something to remove the background add colour or whatever but for whatever reason it’s been messing up and degrading the quality of the photo a lot faster recently But if app makes a workaround for this problem, it would make it a lot better for me personally anyway no idea for the rest of you also we already have an auto cropping mode anyway so it’s not like it would make it more difficult to manually do it 🤷
Great for basic editing and collages.. Does all the basic things needed with one exception. When choosing a photo and then edit and selecting PS Express from the photos app on iPad, the option to crop does not work although it works fine on an iPhone. UPDATE: It seems that the latest update 2 days ago has fixed the problem - thank you!
Not user friendly. Zero stars. Sorry but this is not a user friendly app. All I’ve needed to do is add a before and after shot, side by side, of my home renovations, simple. But it has literally taken me 3 hours to try to figure it out. It’s wasted my time. And I haven’t even succeeded yet. You’d think something so simple wouldn’t take too long but the interface of this app is too complicated, and even when you think you’ve found the right button it takes you off on the wrong tangent. It kind of reminds me of all the major companies now… Press #1 for x, press, #2 for y, press #3 for z. Oh and if you press #1 you will be diverted back to the start.
Easy, simple to use app. Free, no ads and by far the best photo editing series of apps for both beginner and experienced users. So great to be able to use all the adobe apps on the iPad. They are easy for anyone, even without photoshop knowledge to use. PS Express is good for beginners. I definitely recommend checking out the other apps in this series. For beginners some of the apps may require a little learning but overall not hard to learn. You can create really great photos. I don’t work for adobe but I wish I did so I could get a discount on their creative cloud suite!
Love Photoshop!!. I have so much fun with this app. I take many photos on my Nikon, import them wirelessly and open them in Photoshop where I can adjust, well just about anything and everything. There are some amazing filters and a huge variety of texts to use as well as the more serious stuff like sharpening, exposure etc. I can’t fault this app. I have the free version but with the new filters I’ve just discovered today (that we get to trial for free) I would seriously consider investing my money in this app. This is my only app that I use for all my photography now.
Compared to the power and complexity.... It’s ok. Sure. But my title refers to the Photoshop by ADOBE I had (and had to lose) because designers wanted not to retrofit the BEST iPhone app I’ve ever used called (photoshop by adobe) which I always think, “ahh if only being about the power that PS is rather than it being able to “fit in” with other adobe apps. I lost money when my iOS couldn’t run it anymore and there is not ONE app that did what photoshop has always done. Endless layers, skewing, distorting, selections. Anyone that lost that app is angry at adobe. You just can’t be. Progress isn’t always pretty. Stay RAW!
highly reccomend. editing my photos has never been better after using this app. ive been using adobe ps photoshop express for a few months now and i absolutely love it. Reccomend for all ages and so easy to use and get around. only issue in this app is it gets glitchy now and then but usually its fine and clear. everything is free and now i can post better instagram photos and im getting more likes. I would definitely give this app a go because im sure you will love it.
Why?. I’ve always used photoshop mix for photo editing such as adding photos into other photos by cutting certain bits out of them to add in. It was by far the best one on the App Store but recently it along with one other app was merged into photoshop express. At first I thought this was great as I no longer had to switch between apps when doing different edits to photos but when I went into the app a lot of the features I usually use now require a premium purchase. I understand that in app purchases are necessary for you to earn money but I don’t get why there are very limited free features and why a permanent premium subscription costs over $50! (I live in Australia). Please can there at least be a subscription for each group of features (from each merged app) so they are a lower price and are more worth it to buy. If not I will most likely switch apps but I still recommend the app to anyone willing to pay that money as it offers more features than any other app for mobile.
Essential app for iPhone photography. Brilliant app, easy to use and excellent results. First got this a few years ago for the noise reduction feature, now use it for absolutely everything. Takes photos taken with your phone to the next level. Not for photo manipulation like the desktop version, extremely simple to use for anyone no experience needed. Don’t just use preset filters use the manual functions and your photos will go from average to high quality!
Love it 👌🏼. I’ve been using this App on my iPad Pro for the last couple of years, it’s my “Number 1 Go To” photo editor. I use it everyday for my business & it’s been an invaluable tool. Would love to see a tutorial section added!!! 🙏🏼 Somewhere to view basic tutorials, tips & tricks, step by step how too’s for understanding & utilizing some of the advanced features! Especially for those of us who’ve never experienced the full desktop version & have learnt on the fly 😊
Your saviour. This app helps so much! At first I was sitting in my house staring at the ceiling, when my mind casted to the time I had a really nice photo, but the background features were crappy. I immediately downloaded this app, mainly because I was curious to see if it would help, and boy did it help! That image was now my fav all because I blurred the background and changed the tone. This is one of the apps that truly deserves that five stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!
Great app, random sign out. Adobe also did this with the creative cloud suite. It just signs you out with no warning and won’t accept the same password, or resetting to the same password. Then it loops the email verification process every time it fails to sign in. Great way to start the week. The app now doing the same thing at the end of the week. Just closes your job or the whole program and has no idea who you are. You sign in and it just loops the loading screen indefinitely.
Impressive.. I have the versions of PhotoShop and Lightroom with fully supported upgrades. I have been struggling to find the time to get on my Apple iMac to learn them. I am so pleased this APP became available. I found it so easy to learn and use that I get a better result with it than I do with the others presently. It is quick, with most slides I need to give a really nice completed photo When out on a shoot. Bravo.! Keep improving.. Thank you. One fault is I can not take out the background to fade for a better effect, or remove unwanted items.. Eg. People, other vehicles etc.
I miss the old apps!. Photoshop Fix and Photoshop Mix were the pinnacle of the adobe apps. They have now merged these 2 apps and it is no where near as good unless you want to spend your hard earned $$$. I used to be able to do magnificent edits and fixes on Photoshop Fix and I regret having to delete the app temporarily to be served this new app rubbish! I am so disappointed with this app and cannot do what I used to be able to. I can confirm what others say about the app freezing and having less features available to the user for free. This app is now a waste of time, so don’t bother unless you want to pay the subscription!
Photoshop harder to use. The saving grace is the search bar at the top. I find it really hard to find things otherwise. I finally found the mix section. Maybe needs a bit more clarity of the sections now it all seems merged together. I love adobe buts a bit harder to navigate. and to zoom in under the next mix area as there small amount of black to tap if want to zoom together especially for an older user like me.
Disappointing. Ever since the last update or 2, I have no longer been able to edit in Photo on my iPhone. I am forced to launch the app each time I want to use it, can’t easily locate the photo/s I want (swiping no longer gets me to the next photo), there is no easy way of saving edits without being returned to the first screen). I give up! It was a fabulous app previously- I even bought the full software for my Mac because I loved it! Now I’m looking for a replacement that will let me quickly and easily do the basics as I take photos.
Frustration central!. I used previous Adobe apps to work out a workflow for my business. I need white backgrounds around my subjects, and one of the previous generation apps did it quite well. The new conglomeration apps, like this one, have dumbed down everything to make it simpler. This can be good, but in this instance it is bad. What I now have is two versions of Photoshop express, one on the screen of my phone – small area, big stubby fingers making it impossible to do any fine retouching work. The same app – apparently – on the iPad is different. It does not have the ability to cut out the subject, in the space where it should be in the app there is nothing. This is a most puzzling oversight by Adobe, why is the iPhone app different to the iPad app? My phone is impossible to work on to refine cut outs, and the iPad with the Apple Pencil is the perfect place to do this, as I did with the previous generation of apps. This is all back to front, frustrating, and I have found other non-Adobe apps that actually do what is needed… I live in hope that Adobe will rationalise and make the apps harmonious, and usable. There is a remove background button on some other Adobe apps, but it is a 1-Click option, and totally unsuitable for anything pale on a white background – which is often what I need to work with. For some reason there is no option for refining the selection, it is quite simply what the program decides you need cut out – everything else turns into a hole. Come on Adobe, get it together!
Love my Photoshop. I really enjoy the amount of control you have over the various adjustments - one of the more professional apps where you can make very subtle adjustments rather than having to rely on presets. I like that you can still do quite a bit even without Premium. I prefer using PS on desktop so iOS obviously a lot more limited. Might pay for a month when I have some free time.
Photoshop Fix was a much better app (previous version). I really miss photoshop fix, you could lighten & darken any area of the photo with ease. You could really zoom in when reshaping. The healing tool was much better, it would heal more accurately to suit the photo. Please bring photoshop fix back. You can really see that many people miss the previous versions. It’s actually really frustrating to use the new app, it’s not user friendly at all. I would pay a subscription for photoshop fix but for now you have lost me as a customer and I am turning to other photo editing tool apps.
Great app, but recently slow and crashing. Using the latest iOS on the latest iPhone (XS) I got a memory full message on trying to edit a panorama via the native photos app! If I open Photoshop Express and import the photo, ok, but the app is still hanging or slow if several edits are applied to a photo. It was smooth before but it seems other users are having the same issue of late. The app’s auto edit feature is good and often produces results I like better than the iOS auto edit for quick fixes. The new additions of ‘bokeh’, etc. are ok - some are more useful than others.
It would be great but…. This app would be great but there is a major problem (and a few minor problems) which ruins the whole thing. The worst problem is how most of the time if you click a new subject (e.g:theme/border/stickers) it usually says buy premium or something and there is no exit button to exit the ‘ad’. The only ways you can get rid of the ad is to log out and pick your photo again,(your edits on your photo will be removed) or click the ‘x’ button and it will remove your most recent edit. But because when you change your ‘subject’ the ‘ad’ comes up, it is nearly impossible to finish and upload a photo. Another good thing to do is to add in a search bar for finding stickers or borders or other subjects. But all I really want is for you guys to fix the ‘major bug’ then this app would be amazing.
Junk. Why on earth pressing undo completely re-zooms and re-orients the photo you are working on when you are using the heal tool is completely beyond me, which you’ll be doing a lot because the heal tool is wildly unpredictable and it takes many taps and undos to get each heal edit right, the logical thing to happen when pressing undo is that the previous action is simply undone, but no the app zooms out and moves the image and you lose track of your precision edits and you constantly have to zoom and re-zoom while also inadvertently causing unintended new edits to occur which also need undoing in order to continue editing which makes the app unbelievably painful, near impossible to use. Paywalling jpeg quality is just rude, used to be a simple touch up app but PSE is now a bloated impossible to use mess that constantly tries to manipulate you into handing over money and access to private photos and information.
Don’t expect much. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now. And I’ve got a but to say. When I was scrolling down the AppStore (bcs I was bored). I stumbled upon this app and I jumped with excitement. I had for months tried to find a photoshop IOS app and this was it! This was my destiny.😀! But, I got on to the app and started to check out its features. And I was extremely disappointed with the limits that they put on the IOS version. Though, I brushed it off and started to look some more. Photoshop was never really easy to get your head around so I thought to just try for a bit. BUT HERE I AM WRITING A 2 STAR REVIEW ON THE APP THAT IS PHOTOSHOP! Plz add some new features on this app. And stop making all these different apps for different sections of the editing subject. It’s horrible! Y do I have to download 3 apps to just edit one photo! Just put them all together! Kuziko P.S, plz fix this. P.S.S, and don’t just write a reply saying “we will take note of this and definitely take care of your problem”. P.S.S.S, bcs I know your my last priority.
Just what I need. My very first collage app stopped being supported when a major iOS update came out. Since then I’ve been using a rubbish app full of ads, worse still it saved my pictures at terrible resolutions! I’m willing to pay for an app but it has to be good (the collages I make are extremely simple so the basics have to be right) and what’s with the monthly subscriptions that some apps are throwing at us nowadays? No thanks! This app does everything I need (grid layouts in different aspect ratios, moving frames, border thickness, colour and roundness, add text or the odd sticker); there are no ads and I can save my images in its full resolute glory without a pesky watermark.
Enjoying it!. Easy to use, the app has a great layout. There are a few options for editing, and so far seem quality. I don’t feel bogged down with heaps of filters and things to wade through, just good stuff. Also, it’s easy to edit filter options, which I like. It is a little slow to load a photo to work on, but no problem. Just gotta un-tap the auto enhance upon import before I start my fix, it sometimes makes them look worse when dealing with lower quality photos.
Awful new update. I used to love this app and it was definitely 5 star worthy, however with the new update, the user interface is very childlike and similar to other mainstream photo editing apps. It also also become a lot harder to use. You also now have to pay for features that used to be free. With the new subscriptions on the adobe suites the greed is definitely showing. Has this company changed ownerships or? The added filters are also quite bad, it’s like adobe has tried to yassify this app, which is terribly sad. It really feels like I’m using some run of the mill photo editor app that would come programmed to Facebook, and the stickers?… seriously I’m a designer and use the adobe suites daily on Mac & iPhone, however besides the ai generative fill, Adobe seems to be really going downhill as of late, and now you guys are getting sued by the government. Hate to say it but it’s a wake up call and Adobe actually deserves it. Better watch out for Canva… could take a few tips from them. Anyways, please scrap this whole update and revert back to how it was, awesome, easy to use and with a professional UI.
Less than one star.. This product is a complete waste of time. Every time you open a new image or tool, the nag screen comes up asking you to update to Premium. This is the worst image editor that I have used in over twenty years. Perhaps I’ve found that Adobe has gotten old and their software has fallen behind. I no longer use Premiere as DaVinci Resolve runs circles around it and it free. With the automation I have added to Inkscape, it makes illustrator appear that it’s 25 years behind. Still what can you expect from the company that set loose Adobe-Flash on the world.
PS Express No Longer Does Basic Requirements .... I have been a daily, happy user of PS Express for years but I may have to delete since recent update problems ... Basic requirements that I used daily no longer work ... I can no longer reduce luminescence on images or add borders with colours other than white ... If I try, than I lose all other changes that I have made to the image when exiting ... I have been waiting to see if these problems would be addressed in updates since the problems began but have had no joy ... As I said, I use these 2 functions daily and without them I will have to delete and try to find another app that will ... Hoping to see these bugs with the program resolved soon as I really have been quite satisfied other than mentioned above ... Thank you ...
Great tool (with some problems). This is a great tool for people new to photo editing! So many of my pics that I liked a lot have now been given an amazing facelift!! They are now breathtaking! Highly recommend!!! The problem is that the app regularly fails to work properly. There are a number of loading and performance glitches that need attention. Sadly, as time has passed, instead of being addressed, these problems have grown worse... The greater problem is the number of people using it to advertise rubbish and the encroachment of ‘influencers’ looking for simps... Nevertheless this is an excellent app for turning ordinary photos into masterpieces with just a few clicks! Get it!
Themes not working?. Currently my ‘My Themes’ and ‘My Looks’ hasn’t been working for about a month. Not sure what the issue is and I haven’t found anything related to this problem at all on the internet. It works perfectly on my iPhone but doesn’t load on my iPad for some odd reason. There’s literally nothing there, it’s not some visual bug, so I have to work around It by airdropping it to my phone and continue there. I’ve tried to uninstall the app and reinstalled it, log out and log back in and nothing seems to work.
Need adobe fix. This is no where near as good as adobe fix, first of all - when using the smoothing tool, if I move onto another tool and then want to go back to using the smoothing tool it wont let me make adjustments to my first edits, even though maybe I would’ve like to make changes to them, it’s made them permanent on the picture.. also I liked how adobe fix had a sharpen tool that I can use just for certain parts of the photo this doesn’t have a sharpen brush.. I can only sharpen the whole picture which I don’t want to.. please I’m begging bring back adobe fix or make this as good as that!
I’m so sick of the subscription model. “You’re using premium edits.” But I’m purposely not selecting any of the premium features so I just can’t save anything. I even tested an image I hadn’t edited at all and couldn’t save it. I wish I could just buy the app outright and not have a subscription which ends up costing a small fortune in the long run. Update: The developer response shows they didn’t read my review at all. I didn’t use any of the editing tools and I still couldn’t save without the app telling me I was using premium edits and throwing up the payment screen. So I uninstalled it. I won’t make communication private by emailing. The app is real pushy about the subscription, like most apps these days. It makes me so tired. I’m so sick of capitalism.
Needs a lot of improvements. I used photoshop fix for years and loved it so much, it made my editing quick and easy but since PS discontinued PS fix editing is such a time consuming and irritating using Photoshop express, the app has so many flaws the biggest of which is the lack of “restore” option that PS fix had, now if I make a mistake with the healing tool I have to catch it straight away and click reverse or it’s there permanently and I have to start over… also PS was free and so much better, PS express is paid and lacking, just disappointed all round.
Update pls. Pls make a update and add abilitys where you can put photos in other photos like photoshop it and select other photos and cutout them in a line and make it look like its in the photo but photoshop like you want a lion in your house and you took a photo off the ground and you have a picture of lion you can cut it in a line of its model and put in and make the lighting customize to make it look alittle bit realistic and prank your friends to make them think you actually had a lion found in your house. Wouldn’t that be funny? Pls add this ability to select other photos and outline them and put in your picture if you add this ability i would rate this 5 stars cause the things you can do in it are kinda boring for me it would be fun if you add this ability pls have a nice day 🙂
Bring back Photoshop Mix and Fix. I used to use photoshop mix and photoshop Fix very often as an on the go photoshopping apps. With photoshop express I find it a lot harder to navigate and the tools are just not the same. One of the tools I loved was the clone tool in photoshop fix. This tool in express is not as efficient as the one in fix and I am very dissatisfied with how long it takes me “quickly edit” one photo (especially when I’m using my phone and trying to edit with my finger). I’m very disappointed and wish that you would bring back photoshop Mix and Fix or try and have the tools more similar to the ones from those apps instead. Especially if I have to pay to use all the tools. I also find that the app is lags and take a very long time to load.
Essential Functions are gone in a new phone. I just bought a new iPhone 16. I use PS Express a lot in my daily workflow. I am also a paid adobe CC customer. But after installing PS express in the new phone, I found that those essential functions are gone. I can’t combine photos now. I can’t find the black canvas to start a new project. So does it mean I need to stick with my old phone for these functions? Update after developer response: this is not a new request. This is a missing feature in the app after installing on a new phone. Your app is still suggesting the feature through a hash tag. But it has no response if I tap on it. It a bug. Not a feature request. Come on Adobe. You can do better than this. 🤦🏻
Only App I Use. Only app I really use for daily general edits. Variety and ease of use. Love that I can then continue editing in other Adobe apps use well organised. However I would like to be able to access images I have posted and download them in original quality, only because I’ve lost all data on my previous phone and wish I could have access to those photos. Otherwise great app I’d recommend to anyone.
So upset with the new update. I used to be such a big user of the previous version of this app when it was known as photoshop express. Things were much more seamless and easy to use. The new update has truly become a nuisance and much harder to use. The UI is terrible. I don’t know what the devs were thinking with the new version but genuinely please make it go back to how it used to be. I understand Adobe wants to make money but the whole subscription process is also shows the greed. If you guys want to take money at least make the UI easier? Also $14-$16 a month? That’s more than how much I pay for Netflix. This company is becoming a joke. Although I will test out the free 2 weeks subscription plan, but you’ve just lost a die hard customer Adobe. Please do better. This is not how you keep customers.
deleting it due to new privacy policy updates. I don’t like the new updates , I hate having to sign in through google or Facebook- the app shares your information with them- why do you force us to sign in with an adobe account just to use the app? You don’t need access to all my personal info, I read the privacy policy and it says you will share information with, and track all that I do on my phone through on google, Facebook ? Many of the old free features are now premium too. I’m deleting this app, and all apps that force you to “sign in” just to bombard you with spam emails, advertising to “go premium” and that track everything I do on line. I just want to edit photos! Not give you all my data. Goodbye, there’s other photo developing apps out there.

Sad. Ts pmo
Useless. Completely useless
AI BS is all you get without paying.. Somehow keeps getting worse. They want you to support the AI features that no one asked for. First the “healing brush”became a premium feature, so you were forced to use the lesser “remove” option. Now any touch up tool is premium only. If you know how to use photo editing tools you can get around this with the draw tool and the smooth tool. Don’t wast your time, and definitely don’t sped any money on this. It’s been more than a year since Adobe greedily discontinued their far superior free apps, PS fix & PS mix, in favour of this garbage. I’m shocked that no one else has swooped in and filled the gap with something similar.
Junk. Junk now was good before.
Raw files error. Can’t do raw files on Nikon Z 5II
Log in required before anything. You have to log in/create an account before even seeing the app or what they offer... You surely don’t need internet / login to edit photos on your phone, so don’t try a ‘get a free account’ before even showing me what I’m getting
Blue circle of death. No longer works. Now it just lets Apple’s blue circle of death hover over the launch screen. Logged in and out. Deleted and reinstalled. Typical Adobe.
Great Until Recently. I have really enjoyed using this app to edit my photos and adding text where needed. However, I would love the option to create custom photo sizes (6x8). Most recently the app will not start and I have to uninstall and reinstall the app for it to work. Even leaving it open, it will eventually reset and I have to repeat the process. I can not find any support to resolve this situation, to the point where I don’t I will renew my subscription - which is sad as this app really does all I need, except work right now. If someone sees this review and offers some solutions and/or updates. I would gladly change rating. Thank you. MM
You have to pay for EVERYTHING. It has a lot of great features except you HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING. I spent an hour editing this one photo only when I went to save it it said I had to upgrade to Premium and when I didn’t, they deleted all of my editing. So disappointing and so not worth it.
Ne fonctionne pas. Depuis 27 février 26 l’abonnement automatique s’est fait c’est ok, mais ne fonctionne pas … on me demande d’adhérer à Premium … que se passe t-il. ???
Far too basic. There are tons of apps that can do far more than this one can and they're free. Unless you want to waste $ to play with filters, move on.
Horrible and entirely paywalled. Thanks for killing off the superior Photoshop Mix and Fix. They were easy to use, versatile, and best of all, completely free. I had dozens of edits there and loved using Mix for such, but unfortunately these were all lost because you decided $$$ was worth more than customer satisfaction, like the greedy corporates that you are. Express is horrible, doesn’t possess the same tools that Mix did (they operate to the less of the latter’s extent), and worst of all, it’s filled with ads, it’s buggy, and entirely paywalled. $100/yr to use a cut-out tool, let alone add more than 2 layers? Are you serious? At least make Express functional. Not recommended at all.
App Crashes all the time. I have the premium version and often when I try to use a specific feature it goes into loading mode.
Deteriorating application. This app used to be great and function seamlessly, but it is now bloated and overloaded with AI content that is causing the entire system to glitch and not operate properly. If you work in high volumes of photos, all of the changes that you have to manually delete is a completely inefficient system. If you forget, you will be spending several minutes manually deleting changes to previous work that cause the application to become even more slow and unresponsive. This application is like the proverbial power bar with about 50 different electrical outlets sticking out of it, sparking and about ready to cause a house fire.
Ps presets. I really love PS presets. They really make my photos so much better and it makes blogging that much easier because on sunny days it’s sometimes hard to see the image on the screen In The first place. Once you get to know the presets you can choose the ones you need on the fly.
As a novice to photo editing , this is not easy to use.. I want a practical photo editor for my simple basic needs. There are enough features that I still haven't tried. A quick way to fix and modify my photos. Esp. adding text.
Literally 0 free features. I uploaded photos to edit and it won’t even let me click it with just the free app. Can’t do a single thing to a picture without paying for premium. Just make this an app you pay for right off the bat. Very misleading. Also annoying that you have to sign up for an account before learning all this.
Lots of fun. Easy to use and make inspiring content
I have to login ???. Why do I have to login to edit a photo? I don’t need one more site harvesting my information. For this reason.. App deleted.
Terrible!. Back when this app was free it was so much better. Now it’s pay and the quality SUCKS! It’s impossible to accurately position a photo on another because the app is so choppy, and only moves the photo in increments rather than pixel by pixel so your photo either overlaps where you want it to sit or it falls short. Just horrible. Cancelling my membership and looking for another app.
A shell of it's former self. Photoshop mix was perfect and free. Now, not only is it removed from the app store but it's replacement has basic mix features like having multiple layers and manually adding/removing locked behind a paywall. To top it all off, right before removing it from the appstore, you broke photoshop mix for the people who still had it, so they would be pressured to transfer over to the worse new version. Lost all my projects over greed. Great job
No option to turn off cloud sync. Really annoying that you are forced to sync everything to the cloud.
Subscription based app. This is a subscription based app, which means you’ll never own it and will have to keep paying forever just to use it. No matter how well made an app is, if it’s a subscription based app, it is a bad app. There is no such thing as a good subscription based app. Avoid at all costs
Trash. Typical adobe trash subscription required
Complicated. Can’t find anything without search forever, not only that the amount of times the app bugs you about the premium is horrible. Starting to think some of these reviews are bots
Wont load and work. When I open the app, it shows me this spinning blue circle for like 10 minutes before crashing. Wont load and when it does it wont open any of my pictures and nothing works.
$130 dollars a year?. I think $130 a year for full use of this app is just plain wrong. Why can’t I just buy it outright.
Have to pay. Why would you start charging on certain tools?? I shouldn’t have deleted the app and redownloaded it had I known I had to pay. Before I deleted the app there were certain tools I didn’t have to pay for. Deleting the applications and finding something else cause you guys going broke
bring back photoshop mix. bring back photoshop mix
Does not work. This app does not work. I deleted it, and then it was removed from the App Store. Finally, it’s back, and I reinstalled it, but I am having the same issue. I am a Creative Cloud member. If you select any filter/effect. It does not apply.
Opportunity Lost. (PS touch), was a fantastic entry level tool on a IPad. I encouraged lots of art students to learn the PS basics using Adobe programs. Most of those students now gladly pay the subscription as PS power users. Adobe failed young entry level students with no free offerings. Cheers
Nice. Cool
Loving this. So loving this app... I just got my first dslr and using this app is so easy... I’m just starting to do some photography as a hobby🤗
Buggy closes as soon as it opens. App just has a blue circle, can’t close the premium box or click on the option I want. Super bad app experience will delete
Terrible, confusing UI. Nothing makes sense, there no easy ‘confirm’ a change or hierarchy of menu tools..
More the update adavance, less good they are. Everytime suppose to evluate in a better eaybits always de inverse. More adobe update less is "fun" and easy u to use
Pay to Play. This app has a good idea, except that you have to be premium to do more than half of it! Thankfully you can have a three day trial, but afterwards you don’t feel satisfied.
Paid premium subscription won’t activate. This is a scam.. I have paid for the $129.99 per year subscription, for premium access to Adobe Express and Photoshop Express. Both apps arbitrarily deactivate premium features and try to get me to re-pay an additional $129.99 for services I have ALREADY been charged for. Fix this issue immediately.
Can’t even edit for free. Can’t edit for free
Love this app!. Great mobile version of my typical photoshop. User friendly and an amazing way to edit while on the go!
App crashes. Why the app is not loading for days and still issue not fixed ?
I’d write a review but that feature isn’t available on the free trial. Pathetic
Free options became premium paywalls $$$. Used to be my go to app for basic photo editing until Adobe got greedy and turned free features into premium “pay to use” features. Stay away, better options to be found on the App Store
Costs money. way too much money
Buggy. App continually kicking me out on my iPad. And now the Background function no longer works and the Border function has disappeared! Also can’t provide feedback through the app, so the only way is to provide a review.
Good when it used to work. Laggy and crashing
Bring out the cash$$!!. This app used to be my go to app for editing. The one and only app that had a bunch load of amazing features with seamless navigation. UNTIL they decided to be thirsty thirsty pirates for your money. Do not get used to this app unless you’re willing to take out the dough $ Shame. Will be deleting this app.
Waste of Money. Waste of money for what you get, don’t buy
Free or not free ?. Why do I need to give credit card information for a two week free trial ?
extrêmement difficile de corriger une photo. Je ne sais pas si c’est un bug ou si c’est voulu avec une nouvelle mise à jour mais ça va très très mal corriger des photos

NOT full Photo Shop but is easy and very powerful. I would give it a 4-1/2 *stars* if I could. I often use this app to sharpen and correct lighting, contrast, hue and saturation on my iphone 8+ photos. It does a pretty good job and is certainly good enough for 72ppi, in addition to being relatively adequate for 300ppi, and is easy to use. I also have access to Photoshop, which I still use if I am going to print a hard copy of something as a keepsake so I can control more aspects of the editing. I especially miss having a select tool, layers and copy/paste and feathered selecting/ copying so I can fix bad lighting in different (only in select areas) of my photo that I may not initially have been able to control for (in other words to be able to edit color and lighting only in one selected area of a photo.) In addition (I am wondering if my blond is showing?) I really miss having a paint tool for signing digital art!
Puts limits on files. Pictures I edit using this app and then save to my camera roll are unable to be seen by other apps. For example, I edit a picture & save to my camera roll, then open Snapchat to post it and the picture isn’t there. All other pictures appear except ones that I’ve edited using this app. (The problem isn’t limited to Snapchat, that’s just an example!) The pictures are visible in my camera roll in the built in iOS Photos but not if I’m viewing the iOS camera roll from a different app. There is absolutely no support for this app. None. I tried for hours to get someone to help me solve the problem of the disappearing photos and all they would tell me is to go to the forums... and if you’ve been to the forums you know how unhelpful they are. I know it’s a free app but if you’re going to put restrictions on photos you need to be upfront about it. I’ve paid for various things to be unlocked in the past but all of those are lost because everything is now free and yet I can no longer post or share the photos I’ve edited to the media I want. What a joke.
Not all exceptional things have to be complicated. I’ve been an Adobe product user for about 25 years, and I’ve seen the rise of different suites of programs but no program has defined Adobe more than Photoshop. This mobile version is a useful tool, it’s not complex it’s missing a lot of features you would think would be a part of Photoshop… But it is for the phone, and it is for the wider world of users. That being said it is an invaluable tool, and those who have Adobe software for other operating system should remember that you have extra feature of expanded features, easy login… And flawless saving across all your Adobe accounts through your login. The only question is why aren’t you already using it? My family stays enthusiastically engaged with Adobe products including my husband and my teenage children who are artists and filmmakers. Photoshop will give you a tool, where are you take it from there is entirely up to you.
Charging now for what used to be included. I’m pretty upset that some of the items I have been using for ages for free are now only available through the paid upgrade. For example the freeform option with the collage. Been using that forever because the basic forms never fit the photos just right. Now I’m expected to pay $5 a month or $35 a year just to use something that I originally had for years without the fees. I can understand paying for an upgrade with all the new additions but not for something that was there to begin with when I downloaded the app. *update* it’s $38 with tax. I love using the app so much but I’m going to have to get rid of it because paying almost $40 a year for what used to be basic features, is just upsetting. If I were to purchase a photoshop program for my desktop, it would be a one time fee, not an annual payment. Plus when I edit my photos in app and save them, they lose quality and clarity. That shouldn’t happen when you pay that much.
Lacking Features!. I’ve had Photoshop Express along with the other Adobe apps both mobile and web and Photoshop Express is by far the MOST subpar. I find myself actually having to use either other editing apps or my computer for the simplest of things such as being able to position “layers” “duplicating” images, providing more text customizations features and certain editing tools are a miss like the heal tool. The options on PS Express just seems very basic compared to others. However I do appreciate the grid and theme options. Those may have to be the two reasons I still play spring with the app. But for all-in-one stops I highly recommend either Adobe Express or Canva. I honestly am still trying to figure out what’s the point of having PS Express and Adobe Express when it’s lacking so much. After having both for years I’m now exploring the need for both. Will be looking into more tutorials as I am a content creator and creative artist, the mobile apps are my immediate go-to’s.
Love this app. It’s great! Even though I am still slowly learning the ends & outs of everything it has to offer, so far I am all about it! I don’t have a lot of time to sit and work on a photo for a long time very often & with ps express I don’t have to. It’s simple and speedy so I can see good results within a few minutes. You can have a great photo where your smile is perfect but possibly have a few blemishes (or in my case, wrinkles) & with this app you can smooth them away, essentially perfecting your photo. If you have a picture that just needs “something” but you don’t know what it is, you can always use the magic wand & see what this app can do for your picture. I am amazed at a few that I had just about decided to throw away but with one tap they were not only save worthy, they became frame worthy. I highly recommend this app for your photo fixes. There is not anything about it that deserves less than a five star review! All in all a great app!
Unusable with recent updates. This app used to be great. It wasn’t my favorite follow-up to the old apps, but it was still solid. For the past several months I’ve been trying to learn how to use the newly redesigned Cutout tool, and it’s just impossible. It’s horrible. Whenever I use the Refine option it’s way too excessive than before. But the real issue is it always leaves borders on a layer after the fact. Then I have to go and brush them out, but then I have to refine the layer again, otherwise my edits are just kind of gone. Why is that? It makes zero sense. Sometimes the edits overlap without telling you. And you can’t even see the live Refine sometimes. On top of that, Adjustments stack too. So if I reduce exposure, then save, then go back into Adjustments it’s back to 0, but the previous edit remains. So in order to readjust I have to undo actions or over adjust whatever setting I change. It’s so confusing and unintuitive. The old way the app was before these changes was perfect. Can we bring that back please?
Only a Max of 5 Mixed Projects?. You would think after paying for a subscription it would at least enable you to have more than a measly 5 Mix Projects but no. Before adobe stopped supporting the free Photoshop Mix you could have as many projects as you wanted on their free app but now you get a subscription and it’s limited? That’s ridiculous. I don’t want to take the time to learn Affinity Photo right now because that’s overkill for what I need but this arbitrary limit is absurd. And another thing… the mixing isn’t even as good on this app as it was on Photoshop Mix. A downgrade for this up-sell. Photoshop Mix was perfection. This app is limited and not as good in comparison. UPDATE: The response below completely missed the point of my review. I am currently paying for the subscription and it’s not as good as the free version. If I paid and got the same features that would be one thing but the quality and ability to have more than 5 projects isn’t there. I’m not advocating for a free app… I’m just asking that the paid app be as good as the free one previously was.
One Thing I’m Not a Fan Of. One of the more frustrating aspects of this app is an issue I’ve come across with the crop tool. While editing multiple images, I like to scroll from one to the next after I complete the edit on a given photo. After sometimes as few as one swipe I have found I lose the ability to crop freely. I cannot control the crop how I want, and it just gives me variations of a landscape orientation. I then have to back out of the image and go to the main screen and re enter the edit tool. It’s frustrating because I don’t understand why I can scroll through photos to edit, but necessary tool is inhibited by said scrolling. I often edit twenty or more photos at a time, and this actually adds a great deal of frustration and time to my workflow. When this happens to much, I end up using Lightroom Classic on my computer. Other than that, a wonderful app. Been using PS Express since 2017.
AMD. Lots of really nice photo editing and collage features -for free! I’m not a photographer or into photography at all but I enjoy fixing up the images if I’m going to print them. Once you tinker around with a few pics and see what each tool does to correct/enhance the photo it becomes a breeze to use. I’m using it for the first time and found it user friendly and intuitive. The only criticism I’d give it is that when you undo an action it doesn’t tell you which action you’ve undone. For someone like me who doesn’t know what each feature does on regular photoshop on a desktop, it’d be nice to know each time what I’m “undoing”. Even without that feature, there are a lot of useful tools to enhance your phone pictures without making them look too filtered or overdone i.e. noise and color reduction, shadows, red eye and blemish correction, etc.
TERRIBLE BUGS. I subscribed to Photoshop Express mobile and it’s garbage. It will not confirm my purchase even though I have paid for a month. It will say “Purchase Confirmed. Waiting for feature activation.” with a white background and loading wheel and will stay that way nonstop. I will click purchase again and it will say “Purchasing...” and nothing happens. I will click “Restore purchase” and it will have a “Restoring purchases” message with no change, same loading wheel. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it multiple times and nothing changes, same errors, always. It will ask if I want a 3 day trial even though I am subscribed, and even if I try to confirm that, I get the first “Purchase confirmed. Waiting for feature activation...” message AGAIN. There is nothing that will hey this app to work for me to export edits and use all tools EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PAID. Trying to get help for their “support” is ridiculous. I’ve just been out through the loop multiple times in that regard even. I don’t understand the high ratings because I can’t be the only one with this error. My phone is an XS Max and fully up to date on software. It’s literal GARBAGE for an app.
The tool for creators on the go!. This application is a must-have for any creator working on multiple photos in advance or on the go. It allows you to express precisely what you want quickly and efficiently, which is exactly what the world of social media now demands regularly. Some of the things you can do are limited, but that's the major sacrifice you make when it comes to a more mobile-friendly version of photoshop. You shouldn't expect this to replace all other editing software entirely. Still, it will make your work life more efficient if you sacrifice a bit of perfection for a more manageable workload. Unless your audience is taking a microscope to your photos, I promise they won't be seeing a significant difference. I'd say for those major photoshop projects, definitely use the full photoshop or other complete editing software. Still, for the social media photos that need a bit of work or multi-client small companies who also might be on the move a lot, this is going to be your best friend.
Grateful. I’ve been using Photoshop since 2004 and to say my experience just keeps getting better is an understatement. Picasso said, “everything you can imagine is real.” Photoshop makes this a reality. The are no limits on what you can make in photoshop. The photoshop express app is amazing in that it is jam packed with the best of Photoshop. It even allows you to create double and multiple exposure photos on your phone! The filters are one of my most favorite gifts offered by Photoshop Express because there is such a nice variety of them and bc some are rich in color and tone and others are lighter in color and focus more on the design of the image. If you want a one stop and go no further photo editing app, this one is it. Heck, just read through the other reviews and ask yourself if any other photo editing app has as many statistically good ones as this one does. ✌️
Not Worth It Anymore. I had this app for a very long time and loved it actually, but never updated it and am probably deleting it now that it did update. The layout used to be very clear, it had the same tools, and best of all it was free. I decided to update the app thinking that maybe they just added a few cool features, but I wish I didn’t update it and probably won’t keep using it now. The layout is honestly stupid and overly complicated. I’d be able to put up and learn the weird layout if it weren’t for the fact everything needs to be paid for now. You have to pay for all the tools you download an editing app for in the first place. You can add fake looking lipstick colors but have to pay to change the width of your nose, or size of your lips. I used this app for a lot more than editing a photo for instagram so I’m bummed to lose it, but I can’t be too upset either because it takes up a lot of storage and wears your battery down. I’m not putting up with all that just to do the same editing I can do in the actually camera app.
Decent. PHOTOSHOP EXPRESS is good-ish. The free version can do basic light level edits and some preset filters. The ads for the paid premium version will be constant, and sometimes I'll use a premium feature without noticing, because the little "star" that lets you know is tiny now. The premium vs free features change from time to time and recently a LOT of free features were moved to Premuim/paid only. It costs 35$ a year all at once or 5$ month to month. I don't personally think its worth it, because the functional heal tool(premuim) isn't great and many other features seem arbitrary. Depend on your finances and perspective, tho! Its easy to use and if Photoshop proper has too much stuff and you find you mostly use Camera Raw with your photos than this is like the cel-phone photos version of that; change light levels and exposure etc or add some Instagram-like filter. Oh, and I don't think you can stack filters without saving each first and then applying another.
Wrong direction. Honestly this app WAS the best photo editing app I’ve ever used the filters are amazing the interface is very user friendly and I admit I have not used it in a couple months but when I decided to use it on a portrait I drew, I noticed some of my favorite filters and settings now have a star on them... I thought it was a new feature where it just put a star on my most used or something but the further I looked the more I noticed there was stars on almost everything. Turns out this completely free app is now making us pay every month to unlock the good stuff. Although it’s not expensive payments it’s still a bit annoying and makes no sense that they decided to get greedy and basically lock the better part of the app until you pay
Great but not impressed. This app is great, it’s Brush tool and everything is great but there’s one thing that is so annoying in all the apps. It randomly pops up a screen to buy subscription and if you cancel it, it will remove all edits. AND it asks you to pay for subscription every time your done with a progect and says if you don’t buy subscription it will remove all edits. So of course people can screenshot right? NO when you screen shot a loading sign appears to ruin the picture so you cant screenshot. It also automatically makes it really blurry on purpose and says if you buy subscription it will unblur it. I AM NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED WITH THIS FEATURE but it is worst in computer. I Had the crappy version on my computer so I was updating to the good version. When it was done after 2 hours of waiting I opened it and set all of the setting to what I want AND THEN WHEN I LAuNCH it, IT SAYs IF I DONt BUY Subscription IT WILL UNINSTALL the app. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP IF You DONt WANt TO pay THE EXPENSIVE subscription!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adobe Photoshop just isn’t like other Photo Editing Software. I’ve recently picked up graphic design and sometimes don’t have access to a computer or laptop. So I was skimming through the web searching for an app to help “professionally” edit photos, and I emphasize the quotes. Yes, this app may be professional or made by a professional company; however, the app just isn’t up to standards. I’m trying to blend pictures together, create different stacks, etc. The features just aren’t all there. I’ve just this app back in 2019 and was satisfied with the variety of options when it came to tools and hardware. Unfortunately they’ve reworked the app and made it easier to use, in-turn hindering my ability to make something small into something bigger. I truly hope that Adobe could change or revert back to an older version, or even make a separate app called “Adobe Photobooth”, which is what this app is. You take a picture insert it and it fixes the picture. Not the ability to alter it with others or add other variables to get the picture to your liking. My review is a 1 star, only for the bare reasons of dryness.
So close to being super useful...just misses the mark.. I downloaded this app with the expectation that it would be as useful both for my art business as a way to make quick composites of my stock and, personally to make cute collages of my son. The inability to manually manipulate the shape, placement, and size of each photo makes it extremely frustrating to use. Say nothing of the fact that you can’t adjust the image to fit in the window. Honestly, it’s faster and less frustrating for me to just get out the laptop when I want to make a collage. There are several (albeit less reputable) websites where it’s also easier. That said, the photo editor is fun and I appreciate the variety of formatting for the collage background, so that you can be sure your work will show correctly on Insta or Facebook. Just not what I expected from Photoshop🤷🏻♀️
WORST PHONE EDITING APP. Worst background removal - poorly developed low level image / edge detection. I had a black garment on a white background! And I had already on desktop PSD made adjustments to make background editing easy by increasing contrast bw garment and background , removed any midtones so it’s easy on iPhone app. Despite these factors it selected around the edges inside the garment all over , then there were tiny pixels in areas inside the garment which are faded / not visible unless you zoom in extreme up close . I ended up spending over 1 hr to refine selection and several times the app got stuck and didn’t even save the updated background selection. The AI generator provides no relevant backgrounds despite entering photoshop background fill options . Even the stamp tool is horrible ! After you select source it will sample from that area for one or two click then sample from some random part and the source picker doesn’t even move so you don’t get to know when it starts to change until it messes up ! Basically the selection source stays in the same location and pick up sample from random places .
Plz fix freezing issue. I’ve been a subscriber for over 2 years on iphone/ipad. For the past 3 months, the app got frozen when I opened it, and I can’t do anything except just seeing a running wheel on one of the “trending” icons. Have tried to uninstall and reinstall many times, only worked twice. Please fix the bug for your subscribers!! Response to developer: same frozen issue on both iphone and ipad. I believe everyone here with the same problems have tried updating to the latest version and removing other open apps. Apparently none of those work, otherwise they wouldn’t leave a review here. I do find a temporary solution now. After unstall and reinstall the app, I need to turn off wifi/data when opening the app; when being told there’s no connection, I turn on wifi/data now and come back to the app to find it working. But this is a temporary solution, because it becomes frozen a few hours/days later.
Works great on the go. Works great on the go small issues with sending to PC and would be nice to have the ability to layer fonts when you’re feeling a little more artistic and everything else you need is in the app being its a simplified version multiple font layers is my only critique within the app interface possibly add the capability to use live icons like Bitmoji can be used in Snapchat with a live figure that’s Re-sizable doing different motions like. Playing air guitar, waiting tapping foot, thinking rubbing chin maybe a Looping pop up comment/thought bubble or rocking out would be a cool addition with seasonal or holiday themed additions you can keep but overall it gets the job done and communicates well enough to send the file to other apps or pc for greater edits in full PS. Two thumbs up from me in overall performance!,.. Rob Napier #Duuuuvaaalll!
I would’ve PAID to keep Photoshop Mix & Fix. Y’all had a great thing with Mix & Fix. Now y’all take several steps backwards to incorporate counterintuitive ideas like meme and quote templates? In Mix you could go in depth with something as small as how far I wanted the font to be spaced; now I’m reduced to having to sort through bland templates that restrict more than innovate. For the option of a a monthly subscription or $35 for the year, I should be able to add a simple solid lined border or add more than only 5 layers. On top of that, how on earth are you supposed to go from editing a photo to mixing layers without exiting back to the main page and the app asking if you want to safe your progress or discard. This app is absolute trash and I was one of the suckers that fed into the click bait that all the things I could do in Mix “and more” would be in Express. I can never get back the hour that I spent in this useless, pandering-to-social-media-culture app. Like the title said I would literally pay to get Mix back and keep the support going rather than attempt to sit through this horrible UI and useless features like the stickers and text templates. This app is trash.
Inferior Product to Photoshop Fix. I’d been using Photoshop Fix for probably a decade before they finally sunset it a couple days ago. Finally started using Photoshop Express last night and was shocked by how much of a downgrade it is compared to Fix. A clunky, sluggish mess that was so bad I didn’t even want to finish editing my photos. One of the best tools in Fix was the clone stamp, which I used frequently. I can’t find that tool anywhere behind the cluster of unintuitive menus and don’t have faith it would even work right anyway, given how slow the heal tool is. There’s a significant delay between tapping the spot you want to heal and seeing the change happen, which wasn’t at all the case with Fix. The “smart” brush is unbelievably dumb, pulling and adding in all sorts of surrounding details from the rest of the image that you don’t want. This app is junk and unacceptable quality from a company that has every resource possible to make an app that was at least as good as the one they sunset for no reason. Bring back Fix.
Convenient app for quick editing on the go. I use this app all the time for the photos I use on my blog and social media pages. It has all the basics, such as crop, resize, and adding text, but goes well beyond that. I like that you can make different layers for adjustments (exposure, tint, clarity, etc.), that way you can adjust only certain parts of the picture if needed. The “Looks” feature has a large selection of filters to choose from, such as portrait, black & white, and matte. The only filter that I don’t care for are the nature filters, but I use many of the others as a quick way to get my pictures looking pretty. I also like that you can add a customs watermark to your photos, make collages, and correct red eye and blemishes. Finally, it is a user-friendly app that is easy to figure out—even my kids can use it.
Not a replacement for Photoshop Fix & Photoshop Mic. Photoshop Express in no way is a solid replacement for Photoshop Fix and Photoshop Mix. I received an email from Adobe today letting me know they are removing Fix & Mix from the Apple app store and they are no longer supporting those apps. The email went on to say that the replacement is Adobe Photoshop Express. No way does that app come close to replacing those two solid apps. I checked out Express and it does not appear to have the ability to to do selective edits with a brush tool for color saturation, light and dark and other adjustments. It also has a clumsy tool for repairing and cloning selective parts of a photo. If more refined features exist please add a tutorial and let us know where they are. Photoshop Express appears to be just an app for doing quick unrefined edits to photos. Fix and Mix have replaced many of the things I would do on my desktop version of Photoshop. It is far more enjoyable to perform those functions on my iPad. Express is NOT a viable replacement from what I can see.
My staple. I’ve been using these Photoshop Expresses for years. I’ve been through 4 progressively newer models of iPads, about to get my 5th, & Photoshop Express has always been my staple. I like to draw & dink around and I mess with photos a lot. I have more than a dozen different photo editors, collage makers, and artsy apps. But still, none have come even close to what Express can do. Enlight is good but not close. The best thing about The Adobe Expresses is that they constantly update and add new features and mini apps to go along with the others. I’ve been thinking for a few weeks now that I wish they had better filters to work pictures that’s available while in Express Fix. Low & behold what do I find as I opened the app, a page showing off all the new filters available. Now I gotta go look at the other new stuff. Wow its almost like Christmas! Oh wait, timings off. 🎄Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays. Now go get Express.
Great but could easily be greater.... Currently has a few bugs and glitches, especially as it correlates with your photos library and it’s own saves etc. A few other little features would make this a stellar app, like being able to isolate (maybe by drawing a lasso tool) in order to perform edits on particular areas of the photo, dial in specific colors in HSL and to edit/composite a few layers would be super! Also, to simultaneously apply filters, like HDR & White Balance, and “Looks” etc. All in all, I’m very grateful for the app and find it really helps do what Photos simply cannot. Ps. Would love to subscribe, but being we’re a non-profit w/ limited resources for marketing and communications, adding 9.99 a month for something we’ll only publish or use a couple times a month (as we haven’t dedicated staff for it) is a tad steep. It’s not that 9.99 breaks the bank, but when added to the total tech & communications budget it adds up 😅
Great Achievements. I have nothing bad to say about this photo app because it’s a Great App . I belong to some photo restoration groups on Facebook , and have been given rave reviews on a lot of photos I’ve worked on . I’m always asked what program I use I recommend this app , and they too have great results with repairing and restoring photos for free . We don’t charge anything for the service that we give to our group members , some photos are beyond help but I give them a try to show the person I put time and effort in trying to achieve the results they expect from our group members . The app is easy to use and gives great results - it gives many options and filters to work with . I gave it a Five Star rating , because I really like it and you will not be disappointed in downloading and using it . And look into the new updated Versions of PhotoShop .
Bait and Switch— must pay extra for useability. I already pay for Photoshop on my Mac, and I used to get the apps on the phone and ipad for free...but Adobe continues their crusade to nickel and dime it's customers to death with Premium features locked behind a premium paywall again. Because Adobe is Greedy and not interested in doing right by the customer, but instead milking them for subscriptions. And it's one thing when it's something like 99¢ a month but Adobe wants over $30 A YEAR for an IPHONE APP. It's disgusting, and is just taking advantage of the customer. Retouching still seems to be free to someone who ALREADY has a subscription, but if I want to cut out a background? If I want to do layers, or a collage? I can either pay for ADDITIONAL "premium" features, or I can go f*¢k myself. Your greed disgusts me Adobe. And your degradation of customer service and customer care will hopefully be the death knell for your ever increasingly poorly run and exploitative company. John Knoll must be so disappointed in what you've done to his legacy and editing program. I know I am.
Glitchy. I love Photoshop, but recently it’s really glitchy when I am making collages. It stretches the picture when I try to save it to my camera roll, and any text becomes very distorted. I’ve been having to screenshot my collages and crop them from my camera roll. It’s also really glitchy when trying to add text to the collages. It keeps randomly switching the text/themes. It will also randomly undo things I’ve done, and it’s hard to get it back to the way I want it. It sometimes even freezes, and I can’t do anything with it and have to close the app, then go back in to start over. If I could find another app that makes edits as nice as Photoshop, I’d definitely use it instead. It’s just become so frustrating... It takes me at least three times as long to do a collage, just working around the glitches. I haven’t run into any issues while just editing photos, but there are definitely some problems with the collage portion of the app that need to be worked out.
Applicable for entry level to more advanced users. The thing to note is that this is an “express” version of the well-known Photoshop program by Adobe. As an app that is not intrusive on my phone and does not demand high monthly subscription fees, I absolutely LOVE this app! I use it on my iPad Pro, but I also have more advanced editing apps there. I also have this on my iPhone 7 Plus and Note 8 and enjoy using it on all platforms. It is wonderful that a person without any knowledge of what a ‘layer’ is can easily navigate their photo edits. For those who are more advanced, you can still save edits as layers and export to other versions of Photoshop. I appreciate the versatility of this aspect allowing non experts to still take advantage of Adobe’s more basic uses while not preventing a pro from getting a quick start on edits on their phone or tablet. Thanks for this!!!
Awesome even for Amateur. Unfortunately I don’t know much about photography, and I’m also a beginner artist. I needed to edit a photo for both clarity and color of a cat. I’m working with colored pencils which is especially challenging. This app has so many options! Even as an amateur, I was able to play around with the options to make my photo easier to use as my reference. I still have a lot to learn on taking photos that show detailed fur, but this app really gave me something I could work with. My cat is an orange tabby and I was able to get colors that closer matched her actual tint. I was also able to save it to my photo roll so I have both original (although this app does state that original is never lost) and the edited version. It will accomplish more than I will ever comprehend so I think both experienced and novices will find this app very helpful.
I use PS more often than I thought I would. I am a hobby photographer, so had a hard time justifying the monthly subscription fee. However, I use the whole suite of Adobe photo manipulation tools more often than I thought I would. In addition, my photography also has significantly improved not just because of post editing, but because I am more thoughtful about what I can do post-editing. For example, I would often take tight photos and shoot jpegs only because I did not take the time to edit my photos. Since I know I will process my photos after a shoot, I don’t take super tight shots because I know I can do a far better job cropping with software than through a viewfinder. Also, I am almost never frustrated from overcropping when taking the photo anymore. I also always shoot raw giving me the additional flexibility to adjust exposure settings if I didn’t get it right the first time. Finally, I am far more selective about what photos I keep since editing is a little time consuming.
Good app but... Good app but they took away photoshop mix app and now since it’s added to this app and not it’s own separate app they want you to have a premium service to access it and add on layered photos which I feel It’s unfair. I feel like if you Added it to photoshop express then let it do what it did when it was its own separate app and let us access it freely or let us have the option to buy it outright to own without getting a premium service and having to pay monthly for this app. Especially for students who need it truly like me we have photoshop classes well classes that use photoshop and sometimes we don’t finish our work and have to wait till the next day to finish it but since now everything is going digital and some apps are being put on the phones this app will help us finish up any work and especially if needed to use mix and layer and combine photos. I feel it should be given again freely or something without having to pay month to month for the mix cut combine.
All Functions Continuously Frozen. I installed this app on my iPhone XS Max around four weeks back. It had a different design user interface that all made sense, and worked. I initially installed it to use its photo mirror reverse feature, but afterward began discovering what all else it was capable of. Several weeks passed which during I was notified and installed an update from the developer. At the end of that period I needed to utilize the mirror reverse feature again, and discovered the changes to the layout of the user interface. From that point until now nothing works. It is all frozen except for a function labeled “Collage”. I notified the developer, and they replied requesting screen captures of what was showing, as well as clarification of the situation. They replied three times altogether, but since have gone “silent”. I told them in my first message that if nothing changed after a week, that I would be permanently deleting their app as in its current state it is nothing more than completely useless when all of its icon controls remain in effect as an “oil painting”. As I have not received any further communication from them tonight I followed through, and permanently deleted their app.
Amazingly easy photo editing app. This one of the easiest photo editing apps out there. I’ve tried a few and so far I click with this one, i like how the tools are organized and the tool capabilities match the users skill level: beginner, intermediate and advanced. I’ve even used this on the fly at work when I needed to meet a deadline. Photo was too dark so emailed photo to personal email, edited on phone, emailed back to work email. I would give this app 4 and 3/4 stars if I could because there are a few issues that annoy me. 1) I like the photo collage feature - but developers - LET ME PRINT A COLLAGE TO AN 8x10 photo paper size!!! Some of us old schoolers want to PRINT the collage, not see it online. 2) Developers - increase the # of photos I can add to a collage. 3) Developers - please please please - organize photos like Apple so it is searchable by All/Day/Month/Year. It is a pain to scroll through a year of photos, on my phone, to find/edit the one I want.
FRUSTRATINGLY UNUSABLE. I used Photoshop Mix on my phone all the time to now where there’s a bug when cutting something with a brush it crashes. I just found out they completely moved to here Photoshop Express and tried it out since it’s essentially the new version. This app is unnecessarily confusing, difficult to use when using layers, cutout is sooo much worse (granted i do like that it automatically tries to cut objects), yet it doesn’t show layers above and below when you’re actively cutting so I can’t cut accurately, and very frustrating when i need to zoom in to get a close up but instead it has to lock on a layer and change it’s size rather being able to just temporarily zoom in! Lastly most of everything is locked behind paywall, I don’t mind some things need to be payed for but not if I was able to use it for free previously and not anymore just because it’s a new app! Unless there is an update making these changes to ensure smooth usage. I will not be using this and will either keep using the old version or find a new app and do not recommend to anyone looking for something simple.
Easy to use, great selection of tools.. The added features and additional tools are great for use on a mobile device. It’s not a full replacement for desktop tools but for fast edits on the go it fits the bill great. Awesome ability to quickly get pictures ready for posting while on the road without the need for the full laptop and all the time to use the bigger platforms. A very welcome addition to tools for photo editing while on the go. It’s not as fast as the full platform, but that will driven more by the device so I welcome the delay in feedback from the app for the gain in ease of use and functionality. Preferred use would be on a tablet for a bit easier use and larger screen but I’ve found this works just as good on my phone for fast edits and easy posting while out and about.
Mad.. I had Photoshop fix for years and years and years, where I could freely do what I loved with my pictures and felt good about my pictures. Up until last month where it was stripped away, only for me to find that I can’t even download ANY dang photoshop app anymore without in-app purchases being involved. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Requires a monthly subscription. I do not want to pay money to take a pimple off of a photo that I took of myself, and have no options to do so with. $100 a year is absolutely ballistic. Oh and I can forget about all my WIP’s I had too, they’re all gone. Thanks. You guys have so many loyal customers who loved your product, why are you gutting them for their money? You’re losing them at this point, and ruining something that WAS already great. It was my favorite photoshop app, and I would have used it till my last days, but unfortunately I don’t live a wealthy lifestyle. And I’m not stupid enough to financially struggle over editing tools. This company needs to rethink how they can better accommodate their users with a more realistic offer. These subscriptions are absolutely wild. Goodbye to my favorite app.
Double pay!. I tried to use it since the last time I reviewed it and it gets worse. Simple things like trying to rotate the photo before I do anything else do it seem to be impossible with this app I recommend you use camera plus because this app doesn’t cut it and I can’t find any help files. Adobe is so busy making money did they forget about making their apps usable It would be just like Adobe to charge me well over $100 a year for Photoshop on my computer and then try to grab me for another subscription to this little app. It’s a scam. It’s petty and it’s greedy on the part of Adobe you think I’d be used to that by now after all the years of using Adobe products but I don’t like being taken advantage of by Adobe now then or ever so they can keep their Photoshop express paid version of money I pay them I have pay them in the past payment should be enough for a lifetime.
Hard to use. This is hard to use. ( I also have photoshop on my PC and I have to search how to do anything. ) It’s not intuitive at all. as for the mobile version here, you can’t really zoom in to get your adjustments to a finer detail. I try to use “heal” and I touch the screen and it just goes all over the place. When I finally get it like I want it, there’s no save or done. You have to start to exit out and then it will ask you if you want to save. Also there’s something in the upper left hand corner of one photo that I want to fix, but it’s up where the clock is on my iPhone screen. I can’t get to it, I can’t drag it down. Great concept, but hard to use. For example: there appears to be no “save” option. If you exit it just asks you do you want to resume when you reopen the app. If you say “no” does that save it like it is, or undo all the hard work? “Heal” is very difficult to use. Puts part of the picture there you don’t want and doesn’t cover what you’re trying to cover
Photoshop Express. I really like this app, and find it useful for many functions I need to edit photos quickly and easily. I especially do like the Blemish Removal feature and the easy and effective ways I can use it. The quality of the images in PE is very reliable and quite fine. There are enough features to do lots of things with my photos, but not so many that I feel overwhelmed. It’s not without ANY flaws, but none are bothersome enough to think of writing this. The fact is that I use this app for the editing of easily 75% of my work. It is reliable, and when I need it to quickly spiff up a set of photos to post for sale, well, this app does just that, no surprises. PE, Photoshop Express, is a flexible, intuitive little work horse. It is a fun editor that is easy to mess around with, while not leaving you worried that you won’t be able do again that edit you just did!
Photoshop again had proven itself to Adobe as something. I’ve been using Adobe‘s photo shop for almost a decade and I got to say, that’s 10 years. Not only do I use adobe Photoshop for my photos. But Ben 10 years . I enjoy it when using the program. I’ve noticed that. But when I’m using a different program than adobe Photoshop, let’s say Google earth… it is such a different experience that I can’t even compare it to Adobe for a shop, and that’s kind of a shame if you don’t think about it really. I got to take a nap. I can’t give it five stars because it’s actually adobe Photoshop and not my cousin anymore .Only the app of which the app is used for what the app was billed for is when I choose to review the app because I use it and that’s true too if you think about it when I was 10 years ago. It seems that adobe Photoshop only feels like a photo editing software as good as Adobe‘s photo shop, only when you’re using Adobe Photoshop. But who’s really to say that any of that is something that happens? Ty Me that’s too.
Needed a photo editor that did more than just add filters. This photo editor works great! And so far it is completely free, I have not run into anything that says “premium only” or anything like that. I had access to everything on the app. All you have to do is sign in via Facebook or Google and then you just get to work editing your photos. I had a picture that I took at Christmas that had some red eye, blemishes, and the sun light made a very weird line across my forehead in the picture. I was able to fix all of these things as well as add a great filter, which was hard to choose because they have so many! And it gives you the option to add a little bit of each one instead of just messing with how much of one filter like most ones do. You are completely creatively free in how you choose to edit your photos. I’m glad I downloaded this and will probably use it to fix up most of not all of my photos in the future!
I wish we could do more.. Thanks for responding. I’m sorry if I took too long to answer the email, but I emailed the photos. The first photo is the original, and the second one is the edited photo. Thank You so much! Original Review: When I first opened the app, I thought “What a fake app. It doesn’t even look real.”. Those first assumptions were wrong. I pulled up an image of the solar system. I wanted to change the image completely into something else. I have and always wanted to photoshop something, so I was ready for excitement. By the time I finished, the solar system was a fireball. Yet, I was still disappointed. I expected to be able to make it look like I was there, in the solar system. Everything I did on this app, I could do easily and quicker on InShot. If I could give this app 2 1/2 stars, I would. Isn’t Photoshop supposed to be editing yourself into it. I want to put myself in the photo badly, and I bet other people do too. I’ve seen people Photoshop people into Paris or Jupiter. It’s an amazing skill I wish this app could do. I will keep this app because it is semi useful, but I will wait for my request for an update. To be fair, adjusting Contrast and fixing mess-ups is Technically photoshop. Please respond back. I am hoping you can find a way to let people express themselves by photoshopping their self into places.
Cannot basic functions to work.. Update: after not trying this software for months, due to how bad it was now, I decided to give it another try. Now it just appears to be completely broken. I updated it on my IPad. And all it does is hang or crash when I open a brand new photo to try and do basic edits. This has become absolute garbage. After being a pretty decent tablet editor before. Thumbs WAY DOWN! For the life of me, I cannot get the basic function to “combine photos” to work. It appears in the menu that appears after you click on a photo. But once you select it, it never does anything or opens anything. The other three options will open. But no matter what you do, this doesn’t work. I have tried re downloading the app and deleting it, multiple times. And even purchasing the app. It won’t work un purchased, purchased, nothing… Adobe took away a perfectly good free program and gave us this garbage… Why I don’t use Adobe products anymore. Using an IPad Air 2. And used to be able to do a lot of things on the old Adobe app. Now, it is basically almost useless if you need to combine photos.
Bad update. I can't figure out how to save to camera roll since the last update. It keeps prompting me to sign up for free 3 day trial, after which I'll be charged a monthly fee. I'm not trying to do anything but put a border around a photo, not something I'm going to pay for when there are apps that let me do that for free. I need to be able to edit and save without being pestered to sign up for a free trial of something I'll never subscribe to, and I certainly don't want to have to screenshot every time because I can't figure out the update. Please fix, or if it's subscription only, please indicate that so people like myself can delete it and stop taking up space on our phones. I don't want to be screenshotting stuff I'm supposed to be paying for, but it's always been a free app and I see nothing to indicate that's no longer the case. It seems I just can't figure it out. Please fix if this is a bug. If this is no longer a free app with in app purchases, maybe it would be appropriate to put a notice in the app saying so, or at least make it impossible to begin editing without subscribing.
Freelance to Professional. This app is absolutely stunning! From allowing you to rotate and transform horizontal axis views ect. from the new update, to color blocking, lighting, and every possible filter and feature in between it is a high recommendation to both beginners and pros alike. I've used this app for about 4 years now and never once had it failed me. To think, I started off as a beginner finding random things to photograph and awkwardly squatting in the supermarket aisle so "the bottles hit the lights just right" to now having my hobby as a career! The biggest shocker is all I have ever used for my photography is a simple iPhone 6 camera.. My pro secret is any camera is the perfect camera with the right editor. The only thing I would like to recommend is layering, like having one filter on and being able to add another ontop of it. But until then, I'll manage by just saving one filter edit to my phone and simply re-editing it.
