An iPad Magazine Done Right. Despite its obvious strengths as a media platform, magazines are struggling to build a product that leverages the iPad's unique abilities. Too often we get little more than overblown PDFs with a sprinkling of touch interaction, or magazines crammed into the (very limited) confines of Adobe's publishing tools for iPad. With its new incarnation, The Edge has come up with something that truly works. It's intuitive, fluid, well-considered and beautiful. And that's just the icing - the content is fantastic. If you are a gamer and you enjoy a well-made, thoughtful product, getting a subscription to this magazine on your iPad is a no-brainer. You owe it to yourself, and the magazine is deserving of recognition for such a fantastic piece of work.

It's ok. I like some of the stories, but they are clearly subjective and they lean to Sony , I own both MS and Sony and the MS bashing is getting old. The app works ok, some minor freezes when turning the pages and I often have to delete and re-download the app to get it to work again. But, make no mistake, it's a great looking e- magazine when it work properly.

Barely better than reading a PDF. This app has none of the interactivity and user friendliness as other newsstand mags such as the new Yorker or wired. It needs to accommodate both landscape and portrait modes intuitively. Why do I need to keep scrolling and zooming just to read a page. What edge did was to only transfer their printed mag into an electronic format, and therefore made the transition without little thought as to user interface. Too bad egmi is not available on the iOS newsstand yet. Now that is how it should be done.

Beautiful and functional.. Best video game periodical around. App is beautiful and functional. Can't r commend highly enough.

Great new update utilizes iPhone X and iPad Pro full screen. Love this app! I’m so happy the newest update supports the full iPad Pro screen! It really makes a difference. Great content, great app! I’ll be “Completing my Collection” today

Wonderful re-imagining of the this magazine. I am extremely impressed with the amount of effort that has been put in this magazine, it's layout, and original content. Price is right for the sheer quality and quantity of original content. A couple of UI suggestions: 1. Speed up page to page transitions. Sometimes I feel like I'm waiting too long for page to animate before reading it. 2. Enlarge the 'x' target. I feel as if I have to tap it at least 2-3x before I close a picture. 3. Some film strips can be cumbersome to navigate. You have to close one and click on next photo instead of just swiping over. 4. Why is the cover in newsstand an advertisement? 5. It can sometimes be a little confusing knowing on what pages you need to scroll down for more content.

The best video game magazine. Period. I have been reading Edge for few years and I think that they are by far the best magazine out there. They treat video game as an art and the reviews marks are most of the time spot on. They have access to all the industry top influencer and it gives its readers a unique view of the industry.

Style over substance. From a superficial design point of view, everything looks really impressive and there is a definite "wow" effect the first time you see all the animations etc. But when you actually want to read the content, it becomes clear that the devs chose style over usability. Some of the main things that annoy me: 1) No landscape mode possible 2) No zooming possible 3) It's really inconvenient having to scroll text in a tiny box because some pictures at the bottom of the screen are static. Looks cool, but as the app in general it's not very reader-friendly.

Simply the best. Edge is a great mag with amazing writing, and the digital edition takes grist advantage of the features of the iPad. Buy it today!

Beware, try interactive version first. I subscribed for a year just before the interactive changes were revealed. Now I regret it, the older print style is way more to my taste (particularly the much smaller font). But it turns out there is no way to cancel a subscription in progress, and get a refund. Zinio still has the print style, so consider whether you prefer that. Steve

After all these years.... Edge remains as relevant, frank and mature as ever, never cow-towing to the dishonest journalism tactics that so plague our industry, and never assuming the reader is anything but intelligent and sincere (even when we're not haha). Edge is the only industry periodical I read with any regularity, FWIW (and it's so much better now that we've evolved beyond the need to kill so any trees for each issue!)

Superb. This is a superb version of the magazine. I've subscribed to the printed edition of Edge for many years but it had got to the point where I didn't really read it any more. I downloaded a sample and was blown away by how much more useful it was. Games are a visual medium, this magazine exploits that to full effect with embedded videos and more screenshots. The added interactivity brings the articles to life and makes it a joy to read again. Plus for us folks who aren't in the UK it means we get the latest edition in a timely and reliable fashion. This is exactly the sort of thing I bought an iPad for in the first place.

Good app, missing one big feature. Please add support for the (big) iPad Pro. Considering that most issues are PDF dumps, there's no reason to limit the resolution to a standard iPad.

Worth WAY more!. This beats the living snot out of any magazine I have ever read on the iPad! I hope other magazines see this and follow its direction!

Great iPad Magazine app. I have downloaded a lot of magazine apps and subscribed to their content before this one and I have to say, this one is top notch. I have read other reviews but that must've been before they went digital because there's videos here, there's no loading issues, there's really high res screen shots, things are animated. Looks really nice. Compared to the rest, this is what I expect an iPad magazine to look like. Something interactive, not just something to flip pages through. Their most recent issue is something to check out. Just give it a try

More than a magazine. Edge is more than a magazine, it's a way of life. I've been an avid reader for close to a decade. Not only has it become my single source for news and reviews, but it has dictated the games I choose to play. Suffice to say, I've never been disappointed. By the way, Nathan Brown is a beast!

Hard to rate. I love the format of the digital edition and Edge is, to me, the best video game mag around. As an app...sometimes I have to delete it and re download and install the editions. It's kinda annoying but not so much that i quit using it.

The best videogames magazine by far. If you are serious into games don't miss it. If you are developing them, it's a must.

Good magazine, awful all. Most annoying bug - issue marked as unread though I've read long time ago. Decoration of app is not so fabulous too. About the magazine - font size is too small for reading on tablet, I always have to zoom in, it's annoying. But everything else is cool.

Great magazine, App needs improvement. With the plethora of gaming journalism online, few magazines are worth purchasing. This is definitely one of them. However, there are a few issues with the app that get in the way of enjoying this otherwise excellent magazine. The main issue is that it doesn't save my place in the issues, so if I close the app or leave the issue, I have to scroll through the whole magazine to find my place again. Another issue I have is the home page, which is where you buy all the issues. It is UGLY. I want to see all the issues I purchased displayed aesthetically, like the newsstand app, and separate from the storefront. I can be alerted to the fact there are new issues available without being forced into the store every time. My ideal experience would be opening the app in Newstand to immediately see all the issues I purchased on a similar shelf, then tap on an issue to be taken to the last place I left off.

Recent update broke the app. Most recent update prevents any download of digital magazines - even after reinstalling, restoring purchases, etc. EDGE is a great magazine but the "changes to the storefront" are making it hard to enjoy.

Superlative videogame journalism. I came across my first issue of Edge at my local Barnes & Noble--absolutely transcendental. I had no idea there was this kind of literary quality on interactive entertainment. I transitioned to the iPad subscription and haven't looked back, very polished and responsive. Many a commuter have asked what magazine I'm reading.

All downloaded issues orphaned. I will second the fact that the update lost track of all the issues I had already downloaded, 5GB. I tried to download issues i already had to see what happened, and it used additional space and didn't replace the issue already downloaded. I had to delete the application in order to free up all the used space. It will take me hours to download and install all the issues again. But I haven't redownloaded the app. Edge has been a very nice app in the past. I hope there is an update to fix this.

Crashes on iOS 9. I very like your magazine and I somewhat like your app, but it's not working on iOS 9 yet and I just want to warn you about it.

The update I've been waiting for!. Edge is a beautiful print magazine. Now with this new update I can enjoy how beautiful it is also on the new iPad. Previously it was either all pixelated or too slow to render. This update seems to have fixed all those problems. I hope the rest of the Future PLC magazines get updated as well.

Free trial isn’t working. Free trial doesn’t work. You’re supposed to get the latest subscriptions with the trial, however, it still prompts you to buy every issue. Future needs to fix this.

Really thoughtful writing for techie mag!. I contacted the guys who developed Blek with a question. I never thought I would get a response, but I did. In the response, there was a link to an article from Edge, that further answered my question. What is the point of that long story? Well, it was really well-written and interesting. Deep and sincere. Not what I expected from techie magazine. I'm a new fan. The next thing I saw was about Red Dead Redemption! I was sold for life! :)

Excellent Mag for Adults.. The first thing I noticed about Edge Magazine when I started reading it in 1995 was the quantum leap in quality over other mags. Interviews were intelligent and frank, reviews were helpful even if you disagreed with the score, and the business aspects of gaming were as front and center as the games themselves. Edge, particularly in the states, is a must-buy for the iPad, especially considering how much it costs to subscribe to the airmailed British hard copy. My only reservation would be to suggest the Zinio version over this one. The format is identical, plus a nice plain text "reader" option and the ability to view on a Mac or PC also.

Beware of the Latest Update. Updated a few moments ago and I can no longer open any issues. Tried restoring content numerous times to no avail. Data still shows 5GB being used by the app, so the content is there (or is it...). I reeeeaaaallllyyy don't feel like redownloading 5GB worth of data, so hopefully I'm just missing something. Rebooted, updated firmware, rebooted again, nada. Won't even let me redownload content. Select, "Download Issue" and it just sits there staring at me with soulless eyes. Oh the humanity!

Don't update. App is currently broke. Old app on my phone works updated on iPad and cannot download new issue with current subscription. App recognizes I'm subscribed yet let's me purchase newest issue anyways. Multiple emails and phone calls, no help. Happens with my pc gamer subscription as well. A real bummer

Good value. The digital version is half the price of the print. You can indeed view a table of contents (hit index) and just double tap to zoom making the text readable. Good stuff.

iPhone newest mag is iPad only... Fix please. Great mag. Been reading digital version on iPhone for over a year now and it's my favorite game mag. Informative with great coverage.

Good price, limited use of iPad. What a pleasure to be able to read Edge abroad at an affordable price, however one has to note that the reading experience is very basic, as close to pdf reading as you can imagine it to be, which can make it sometimes painful considering how much there can be in a page of this magazine. An enhanced iPad experience, even at an extra cost, would make a big difference!

Broken. Recent download made the edge app unusable. It won't download my latest issue, despite trying all recommended trouble shooting steps. Received an automated email from customer service. Very poor. I won't renew my subscription at this rate. Please fix this poste haste Future publishing!

Wonderful Mag; Awful App. Edge is by far the best printed computer and video game magazine. It's reviews and features are mature, intelligent, and thoughtful. This app, though, is horrible. It's a pain to download issues. They will get to 100% and hang. I have had to delete and reinstall multiple times. The animations slow down the reading experience once it does actually install. When my sub expires, I will be switching to a different format.

Awesome- the magazine, digital!. I love it- I can subscribe, buy back issues- the way a magazine app should be done.

Great magazine, good app. Edge is an excellent magazine, but this app has a few small problems. It's a little slow and buggy when starting up and downloading, but nothing too bad. The most glaring problem is that it doesn't remember your position unless it's still running through multitasking. If you have used it recently and it is still in RAM it will remember your position, but as soon as it is forced out of RAM it starts back at the first page. It shouldn't be hard to fix this, the kindle app had this ability way before multitasking was introduced. These issues are small and don't detract much from the great content of the magazine. I would happily give this app 5 stars if they fix it so it always remembers your location.

Worth a subscription. This app is absolutely worth the digital subscription price to utilize. The magazine has a lot of interesting articles not just for the gamers, but for the tech-savvy in general. The app makes navigating articles a breeze with hyperlinks from the table of contents and from within articles themselves.

Love the mag, hate the app. Sorry guys, I really felt like I'd wasted my money doing the e-subscription. A pain to download issues, ridiculous memory eating (admittedly you are a very graphic mag), and crappy stuck-ness that I had no idea how to get out of.

Most complete gaming periodical. Edge has got to be the most thorough and mature gaming magazine I have had the pleasure of reading. 5 out of 5 stars. If you have any interest in the world of video games, you need to read this.

App is broken. I cannot read the magazine on my iPad. The magazine is downloaded but I cannot open it. I tried the actions recommended in the support section without success. I sent an email to Future. No answer. I have the same problem with other Future magazines. Obviously there is something wrong the way they publish their magazines digitally.

Crashes at start. Edge may be a great magazine but you'll never know as the app crashes as soon as you try to read an issue. I am on an iPad Air with all other applications closed, so this should not be happening. Subscribe at your own risk.

Functional. Works as intended.

Best gaming magazine, but formatting issues.. Content: I have been an avid reader of this magazine since it began in 1993. The reason why its the best gaming magazine, is the focus is more on the innovation of the gaming industry, rather than what's popular. This is noted by the fact that there have only been about 14 games to get a 10/10 rating! If you want to know how the gaming industry is changing and what's on the horizon; this is the magazine for you. Price is $4.99 because its a UK magazine, but well worth the price for the articles. Tech: Recently they fixed a few issues with the graphics and the annoying advertisement that appeared, instead of the cover in Newsstand. The main problem - CONSTANT ZOOMING in order to read an article. Fix it please and I would subscribe in a heartbeat; but for now I wait.

It's a PDF. Was hoping for a nice digital mag, what I got was a PDF of the actual physical magazine. Small text and no interactive features. Highly disappointed. Be sure to download the free issue before subscribing to see what I mean.

Poorly designed App, good content.. Edge is a good publication with thoughtful, articulate writing. However, after two years of subscribing to the App and dealing with numerous issues trying to keep the downloaded issues on my phone, I decided to warn others considering subscribing about my experiences with the digital publication. I am using an Iphone 11 Pro Max with software version 14.7.1. The App will often lose all of my downloaded issues forcing me to redownload the issues, which may or may not work. it has been so problematic the last few months I dread using it on my phone. The App works more consistently on my iPad, but still has occasional problems (i.e. needing to "restore Apple Purchase" so it knows you subscribed, having to re-download issues, waiting many minutes for a single issue to download, the App itself freezing during processing dowloads and more). The Edge App is exactly like a game that has good ideas and art, but is (very) poorly executed.

Great!. Works awesome, looks awesome. Very easy to read. I can't wait to see if they do work a way to get the regular magazine add-ins to subscribers. If so, it would be worth 10 stars.

Frick this stupid app. The free trial isn’t actually free. I JUST WANT SILKSONG NEWS AAAAAAAA

...Wow. I love printed magazines. Digital magazines are often clumsily thrown together, and I initially scoffed at the $40 fee. I'd pay it again in a heartbeat because this app is just beautiful. This is how I want to read my game news!

Disappointed. I was really hoping for a step up from the printed version. . . This was nothing better than the original magazine in non-printed form. Not that wonderful of a reading experience.

Great magazine.. Love Edge. It's a well written gaming mag for adults. The interactive version is even better than the written version, and that was also great.

Still not a proper magazine/news app. This app just shows the magazine articles and pages in their original format as they appear in the magazine. In a proper news app or website such as that of The Economist the text and pictures of the articles are formatted for the screen size. The Edge app at present is basically just giving you a PDF of the magazine. It also lacks a proper article navigation menu like that in the Economist app. Very disappointing.

Edge of the cube. Sharpest app now, covers totally brilliant. Great stuff.

New version is completely broken. How about fixing old bugs before adding new even buggier features? This subscription has been such a waste of money. Can't even read the magazines I paid for. Support is hopeless too!

Brilliant !!!. Love the magazine, has good journalistic style and has its pulse on the industry.. The interactive version is really brilliant, I love it !!!

Terrible UX. Failed to download an issue 3-4 times with no reason (counter restarted back to 0%). After 2hrs of trying to download an issue it finally completes to tell me it can only be viewed on an iPad despite saying the app is universal. What's the point in letting me even run the app on an iPhone if I can't read any of the issues downloaded with it? Cancelling subscription.

Best gaming magazine!. I've been getting Edge for a few years now - and with Newsstand I can get the latest issues as soon as they are released. This is definitely the best source for informed writing on gaming - and it looks great on iPhone (seriously considering getting an iPad for this magazine alone).

Not quite there yet. Significant improvement in the optimised for iPad version - and it's good…but, text still takes the passenger seat and it becomes quite fiddly to scroll amongst images, graphics etc. Take a few more cues from the best mag app, Wired, and you'll get there (and then I'll subscribe)

Edge Magazine. Coverage worth reading across all platforms

EDGE. If you like reading gaming magazines, an EDGE subscription is for you. Interesting features and unbiased reviews are a great start. The ability to enlarge font, flick quickly between pages, and read in any light, complete the picture. Each issue costs me half of what I pay in the shops, arrives on time right to my iPad, and takes no space in my house to store. Just brilliant.

Dishonored?. Great magazine but why is the cover of the latest issue taken up by an advertisement? I want to be able to look back at all my past issues and remember what is in them by looking at the front cover. Is the front of the print version taken up by an ad?

Amazing digital magazine. Edge has always been the best video gaming magazine and with the interactive iPad edition, it just got better!

Good content, but..... I have found that the edge app is well developed with easily navigable functions and excellent use of the iPad 4 display. The problem I have with it is that it does not work offline. Trying to read a magazine while not connected to the net results in the app bombing to the home screen with no warning or explanation. This defeats the purpose of a magazine, being something read at leisure and not only when the internet is available.

Not recommended if u have multiple devices. A great magazine, but, you can't view it on multiple advices - even though it says you can. I purchased on my iPhone, with the intention of reading it on my iPad, but when I tried to copy it onto the iPad using the Restore Purchases option, it claimed that I had no purchases to restore. Looks like I wasted $5.49, because reading a 100+ page magazine on the tiny iPhone screen is not a pleasant experience. So it gets a 1 star review until this is fixed.

Download Bug Still Not Fixed. I've paid for the new interactive edition and wasnt able to DL it in the last version of the app. I was hoping that this update would fix that, but I after updating I still am unable to download it. It just keeps saying "Download Error. Failure Downloading content. Please try again. I hope the developer is reading this and is working on a fix. I am using an iPad 3, aka The New iPad if that helps at all.

Slick, Responsive, Stylish. This app. All I can say is more of this please. Don't let up. This is one of the best out there.

Rip Off. Thanks for the memories EDGE. Where's Redeye when you need him. Don't waste your hard earned on what they call edge now, just read the newswires. That's all they do.

Great update!. This latest update is fantastic on the Retina iPad. Previous versions took about 3 seconds to render the hi-res page every time you turned the page, this version takes about 0.5 second (if that), which makes all the difference in making this a worthy replacement for the print version. The text also used to look a bit funky even when zoomed in, even though it looks to be essentially a PDF, and this version seems to have resolved that too. It's also great that I can now buy Edge in Australia now for $3.50 per issue if I go a 12 month sub, as opposed to the $15 per issue air freight copies in a newsagent. Win Win.

I love Edge, but the app is terrible.. The edge magazine has the best coverage of the video games industry, bar none. The app however is not useable on a my iPhone 6 plus. It keeps crashing every time when trying to read an issue.

Incredible.. Don't read any gaming magazine except this one. Edge is intelligent, analytic and entertaining coverage of everything to do with gaming. Literally the best games magazine available, without doubt.

Undownloadable. The magazine takes hours to download for some bizarre reason, I bought an issue last week and still haven't been able to read it, because it's taking up over 500mb of space before finally failing to download. Needs fixing fast.

Edge on the cutting edge. I have been an Edge reader since the magazine started and partly bought an iPad Mini to subscribe to the cheaper digital version. What I saw blew me away because Edge is so much more than a glorified PDF like so many other magazines that get distributed digitally. In Edge, most elements of the page are interactive and flourishes like animated backgrounds give it a level of polish that is ground breaking in magazine publishing. Best of all are the covers that bring game art to life in fun and surprising ways. I hope Edge can go on forever because it really delivers on the claim of its name.

Subscribe with caution. This is the publisher of Nintendo Gamer, which was cancelled part way through my 12 month subscription. I am having great trouble getting any refund or credit for outstanding issues. ITunes refuse credits and the publisher has not answered any emails on the matter. Be aware of this before buying a subscription.

Needs some serious optimization. The pages take so much time to load, it's ridiculous. An iPad third gen should be able to display static pages with no hiccups.

Last update. The last update seems a little buggie. Top and bottom edges of viewing area misaligned, still see reading area, hard to see menus.

Love it. Awesome

Best gaming mag. EDGE is the best interactive videogame magasine out there, period.

Nice. Nice app

The most complete iPad video game experience. I've been a fan of EDGE since the early 00's and I've subscribed the the iPad version for the past few years on and off. I've recently upgraded to an iPad Air 2 and have found the experience with the EDGE app to be the best magazine experience I've had on a tablet.

Content is not optimized for iPad. This app offer the print version of the magazine in a pseudo-PDF that you can zoom and pan, unlike some iPad optimized mags like Wired or GQ. Note quite as pleasant to read.

Crashes all the time. 4 star magazine and a 1 star app. I like the content, but the app crashes too frequently. This is not just with IOS 8, it was crashing frequently on IOS 7 as well. I've been suffering through this because I do like the magazine, but after 2 years and what seems like very little effort from the developers to resolve these stability issues, I'm leaning towards not renewing my subscription as it's just too frustrating. I'm writing this review as I am waiting for the app to reinstall because my library was gone and the app kept crashing so all I could do was delete it from Newstand and try reloading it (not even sure this will work).

Get it!. Hands down - best gaming magazine out there.

Love it. Great

Good App. It is a good app; plenty of variety, not bad at all.

Crashes. Latest issue crashes on my 4s

Bleh.. Has to load a blurry image, font is to small zoomed out, zoomed in you can't new picture, I could go on. Really ugly and messy and not optimized for iPod.

pee. pee

An iPad magazine done right. Well designed and well written.

Each month the app will not unzip properly. So constantly deleting it and reloading it.. I have an iPad 1 and this mag doesn't seem to work well on it. If it worked I'd rate it higher

Great magazine, not so great app. Edge is Edge, it's a great magazine with very good writing. What is bad is the app. The app does not entice you to buy the magazine, because you can't even read the table of contents. When will a better app come along?

Bring back the old version. This is a good magazine but the new upgraded version of the app is buggy; it crashes my iPad every time i get beyond about page 2. I want my $5.99 back!

Edge Magazine Feedback. 4 stars only because I haven't won a PS Vita yet. Actually, my only complaint in what I've found missing is the much needed technical feedback about how these systems work, aren't working, which coalesces into the entire medium that obviously targets the games and game code. Other than this, I'm constantly taken aback by how well put together and how well written this magazine is and I can only say if you're a gamer and looking for a magazine, look no further.

Would like to preview before I purchase. If I was allowed to actually preview this publication instead of being bombarded with SUBSCRIBE NOW messages, I might actually decide to purchase. Instead it's an immediate close and delete.

Terrible US Customer Service. I bought an issue on my iPad in the Newsstand app and it wouldn't download. There is only one person from EDGE/Futureplc available to contact in the US. Apple ended up refunding my purchase because EDGE/FuturePLC wouldn't help.

Disappointing Format. This digital magazine used to be best in class. Now it's just a PDF scan. It hardly seems worth it.

Edge. Great magazine. Great for hardcore gamers.

Magazine issues download far too slowly.. Magazine issues download far too slowly.

Notification abuse. If you like seeing this notification every couple of days, you'll love this app: "Get our latest issue completely FREE when you start a 30-day trial! Tap 'Free Trial' in our app and download the issue now."

Garbage. I paid like $40 for a subscription to this magazine, I only received 3 editions. Now the app says I gotta pay $5.99 for each even though I'm supposed to have a years worth.

Still bloated and glitchy.. Interactivity is overdone, downloads take forever, and are unreliable.

Not fabulous. Can't get to the app since it has locked up trying to load to my iPhone for more than a week now. Nothing is successful to help with completing the download.

Only relevant game magazine, now for iOS.. Thank you! Getting these used to be such a chore!

Love this mag. Just subscribed loved last issue. Great to have truly adult writing on gaming.

Magazine is fantastic, app is not good.. I have previously subscribed to the print edition of EDGE magazine, and have always found it to be by far the best gaming magazine I've ever read. The articles are well written, the reviews are fair and they cover a lot of the industry that most other gaming magazines never touch, including the development side and re-looking at old games and how they were made and how they hold up now. The design is fantastic and print quality is better than any US magazine I've ever seen. The print edition is very expensive though, at least in the US, so I was really happy to see it on the iPad. The app is basically nothing more than a scan of the magazine. You can't click on the table of contents or go to an article, or click on a link in an article and go to that web site. You can't click on an advertisement and learn more about the product. There are no extra videos or anything like that as is the case with the Wired magazine. Double tapping zooms in so you see about 25% of the page, but it always zooms to the center of the page rather than where you tapped like other apps, then you have to drag the screen around to read articles. A single tap brings up a thumbnail view of all the pages so you can skim through the magazine faster and find your place or a specific article. This app is as barebones as it gets. The app doesn't even save your place in the magazine. If you quit the app, it always takes you back to the cover of the magazine and you have to find your place again. I would rate the magazine itself and the content 5/5 stars no problem. This is the best gaming magazine in the world, hands down. However the app itself is 2/5 stars and very disappointing to me. I'd really like to see them improve it and add more interactivity and features and at the very least add the most basic features like remembering where you left off while reading. It's still worth buying the app/magazine because of the quality of the content, but the iPad version could and should be so much more than what it is.

Good magazine with poor formatting. Update: reading this Zinio-style version is so painful that I've ended my subscription. I had hope that they would bring back the iPad enhanced version, maybe simplified and standardized a bit so that it's easier to produce (and read). This magazine has great content and I'm sad to see it squandered like this. Unfortunately, I don't think the managers can figure out how to bring it into the digital age. Update: The latest magazine seems to simply be Zinio jammed into the Edge app. It's very difficult to read—the content is all very small and it's difficult to navigate. Update: deleted and reinstalled under iOS 8 and now it doesn’t seem to crash. This is a good magazine for iPad. It definitely could use some interface tweaks to make it easier to read — for example an opportunity to adjust the font sizes or fonts. I like Edge for its content and buying the paper magazine in the States costs a fortune; these days all my reading is on screens anyway. I wish they had a proper Newsstand version for iPhone as well because the Zinio version is silly. This app just defaults to the Zinio version on iPhone. There are some very simple content-centric layouts I’ve seen on iPhone magazines that would work great, but they went whole-hog on the funky iPad formatting which would make it difficult to shrink the app down. I am a bit concerned that the magazine will continue to be published as the web site has almost no updates any more. It seems like it’s either dying or refocusing on the paper/iPad formats, but there’s really no communication about what’s going on.

Best Magazine on the iPad. Crisp image and very interactive magazine.

Great mag, awful app. Blame zinio or newsstand but this highly unreliable app makes reading this great magazine near impossible.

Great. I wish there was an U.S. equivalent. Adult content is found in EDGE, real adult thoughts not your teenage rants ...thanks.
