It’s better but not great. Still very clunky but at least a step in the right direction. The most recent update seems to be better and easier to change page size, certain pages etc. However the app gives no real direction on how to actually do it and their online support is subpar at best. A few tips for i-phone users, but make work for others: Changing document size: Select your document or let automatically pull up from your phone. Select the circle on the bottom that says print to pull up the print preview. Then click on the document to pull up the submenu on the bottom that allows you to resize and move. Click buttons that says resize and move to see options. When finished select done at the top of the screen to save changes. Printing page range, quality, color, quantity, 2-sided etc: Select your document or let automatically open from your phone. Select the circle on the bottom that says print to pull up the print preview. Go to the bottom of the screen to the little line above the printer name and swipe up. This pulls up the menu with the other available options for printing. Swipe back down to close menu. Hopefully this helps as the app is not very intuitive. I don’t understand why the size changing function is not on the slide up menu with the rest of the options but at least it is an option again.

Easy to use. I enjoy using my hp printer, scanner and copier. Everything is literally at the palms of your hands. I mainly use it from my mobile app, instead from a laptop or desktop. To avoid going through all the steps of starting up a laptop or desktop. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, because I really don’t care for the company charging for papers that’s printed. I can go to the library to print papers because it’s the same amount of .10 per page when ordering HP’s ink refill service. I have to pay for my own paper and pay for my documents to be printed after paying for the printer. The only reason I might still use the service because I’m always forgetting to buy ink when it’s needed during the middle of the night. HP sends ink to your mailbox automatically when ink is getting low in the printer. Do some better about the price of paper being printed!!!

Awful app. Absolute TRASH! Forces you to log in and share everything you print with HP.. Truly a terrible app. No background printing, you need to leave the app running while printing - 1980s style. App offers free limited-time ink for new printers on sneaky fine print conditions (you give up all rights to restocking ink in future. Try Googling “HP printers and DRM”). App is less friendly than previously. You actually are REQUIRED to log in to scan using the app. Seems they watch whatever you print, SSNs, financials, etc. Check out the App Privacy section in the app’s description below - incredibly intrusive and invasive tracking and data collection on you and your phone. The HP Printer app has 8 data categories tracked, Epson has 1 necessary tracker, Brother has 2. This app is like a phishing email. And it requires compliance with an intrusive End User License Agreement before it lets you print. If you actually read it, the new EULA is extremely invasive, & cedes all rights to HP and leaves users with little to no privacy in printing or user rights. No option to opt out that I could see. The HP Smart app WAS useful in the past, but this new version requires accepting this invasive EULA to launch. Spyware so they can sell your data, including whatever you print. It’s TRASH.

Phone and printer combo is amazing. I just want to say that I think all these apps and new features on these printers are just amazing and I think it makes it easy for people like myself who uses my phone more than I use my laptop I have this really cheap laptop that is very slow and I’m kind of likeWhy should I buy an expensive laptop that I’m barely going to use because I have a printer that I barely use and I go through printers yearly no matter how expensive they are because I would have them sit there and the ink dry out and damage the printer so I only use my printer once or twice a yearSo instead of me rushing to the store to spend money for a decent working laptop I use my phone and print from my phone scan from my phone I mean my head just exploded because I was so excited I was able to scan a document that I need to really quickly and email it right away from my phone and I just think that was just amazing and I’m so happy thank you , thank you keep these new features coming

I am back HP!. I thought HP had abandoned its LOYAL customers when it discontinued the HPeprint application. While shopping today, I met an HP Rep who explained that I could continue to remote print using this new App! I can't tell you how relieved I was to learn how easy it was to setup remote printing again. I had set up a printer at grandma's house. She does not have a local computer to serve as a print server. I thought I had lost the ability to send her photos of her grandchild. This is a really big deal for so many HP customers. While the functionality is not identical, people who place printers on remote networks can with little effort continue to remotely print HURRAY!! For customers who swore to never purchase another HP product, you like I can feel better about HP. As for HP, always do your best to continue to support legacy products you have sold to your loyal customers. We buy printers for many decades. Thank you from the bottom (ventricles) of my heart. Matthew

If it is business critical, get an Epsom.. If you need a reliable printer that is business critical, return the hp while you can. Cute for home or casual college use but if you need it to be reliable for critical tasks, do not risk this product line. The app should clearly be called hpStupid, not hpSmart. I laugh at that welcome screen. I had just enough time to scan one very important, business critical document before work that was 15 pages long. Not too complicated of a task. So I scanned it with just seconds to spare before my ride to work. I first tapped share and save 15 images to phone so they would be safe. POOF. ALL GONE. The app went back to the main menu and my document was GONE. Well, at least it saved pictures of my .pdf to my photos so it's SOMEWHERE, that's why I clicked that option first below saving it to a.pdf. NOPE! It randomly threw the first three introductory pages in there that I DIDN'T need as much, but the important stuff: DEFINITELY NOT THERE. GONE. No time to rescan it all now, I'm at work without it using their epsom printer to get the job done right and on my lunch break I'll be shopping for a new epsom printer and tonight I'll be returning that crappy hp system.

I want my old printer back. I do not like having to down load the app to setup the printer. This is just a way for HP to control your docs and sell you ink. I've used HP for 35+ years and thus is the first time I ever had problems setting it up. I was an IT consultant before I retired so I've set up, many printers. HP wants you to sign up for recurring ink sales and promise never to use any ink but HP. What kind of nonsense is this? Very disappointed with app and printer. It took five times to get the app loaded on my PC. The first four downloads were corrupted. It finally downloaded the fifth try. What a waste of time !!!! I finally got it to print from my PC but I still haven't got it to print from a wireless device or a remote location. I easily set up my previous printer to do wireless and remote printing with no App required. I'm totally disgusted with HPs new sales strategy (or customer mind & wallet control) as well as their printer product. I don't know what other options are on the market but I'll be looking, for a printer, other than HP.

Sleek but Awful. I logged in, which all on its own was not the best because multiple times it gave me an error message that was the equivalent of “something went wrong” without any explanation, after struggling with the app for 20min it finally connected at which point the instructions, which are repetitive and clear as mud, were to close the printer door which I did admittedly closed the wrong door and struggled for another 5 minutes. Finally, after going through all that the printer printed the first side of my sheet fine and then proceeded to print some sort of HP tester page on the other side (it held no information by the way) so I reprinted that sheet and moved on to the next which printed the first side fine but for the back side IT PRINTED IN TINY FONT I never figured out why, never changed the settings, never moved anything but the sheets and this happened twice then it printed the sheet right but was missing parts at the bottom so I tried again and yet again it printed in tiny font and then I ended up using 2 sheets of paper which for what ever reason worked and finally finished it up after and hour of struggle (this process started at 9:40 and ended at 11:10). I’ve struggled before with other hp stuff and the customer service are awful and I will NEVER be buying from these people again.

PERFECT!!!. Hi, I am a self-employed Tattoo Artist. I have tried several brands of printers along with the apps that come with them. I have an iphone 6s plus. I just recently purchased the HP Envy 4512 for quick use while out of town. This is my first hp printer in about 10 years. Epson printer app works great for my use, well at least i have gotten use to its minimal customization. I was blown away when i tested the direct mobile-to-printer capability because i wanted to print something really small to not waste ink. I could literally manually rotate and resize the image to my specification. I am absolutely so satisfied. Wow. I always wondered why these companies make an app for the products and you cant hardly do nothing on it. Technology is how we live now days and I'm so excited about this app. This is my first time doing a real review but i had to take the time out of day to let others know. Super excited!!!!!

Wonderful printer!. I used to have an HP printer and it was injured beyond repair in a move. That printer was my best friend sometimes and I was so indecisive when considering a new one. It has taken me years to commit to a new printer; I've picked up second hand ones, emailed documents to printing shops or used the library printer. This HP Deskjet 4100e was given to me as a gift (from someone who probably thought I was ridiculous to not have a printer-considering my working/volunteering/Momming from home). I was reluctant to have a brand new-fresh out of the box printer, but I couldn't refuse the gift. I honestly couldn't have imagined the ease of setting this printer up. (It sat new in the box for a few days; we blinked at each other for a bit). I finally opened it up and wow! Bluetooth communication is so liberating! I can relax and send to print as I scroll. The only drawback is it holds a small amount of paper-which is a good thing in my case so I can spare some trees and be mindful of my environmental footprint. (I'm guessing it holds a half an inch of paper-haven't counted how many pages. I prefer to read, not count). Anyways, this is a great printer overall and I'm happy with everything about it!

It’s a trap don’t buy it. This is my second time buying this printer. Both printers have never ending connection problems. They work okay when they actually connect to print. I have the highest speed internet, no connection issues, computer is up-to-date, I run the monthly print tests, you name it. I originally thought it was just my first printer which I returned, but my second one also has issues. This printer also will only work if you pay for the auto ink. I had too much ink, way more than I could use or store. I thought the whole point of the printer was to be more “eco friendly” and the ink cartridges are supposedly recycled when you send back. I’m busy, have a family, work full time, and primarily use this printer for tutoring so this option seemed more convenient. Well, I paused my subscription because I had more than I could use, and found out the printer wouldn’t print without being subscribed…The printer… I paid for and was supposedly only subscribing to the ink cartridges. I was unable to use my printer- or the pile of ink I already own, and have paid for (and again do not have enough storage for) I resumed the subscription just so I can print what I need, and am saving for something else. This will be donated with a warning. Head this fools advice… don’t do it.

Could not have been easier setting up my new ENVY Inspire. This was, hands down, one of the easiest set-up processes I’ve ever encountered. Just follow the cues, let it do its thing, and voilà, this new printer connected itself to my secure Wifi, it visually guides you for everything, it senses if you’ve maybe skipped ahead (or forgot to remove a piece of packing material). Mine came with six free months of HP+ which is definitely worth trying. I’m eager to see if it truly does anticipate when I’ll need fresh ink so that I don’t run out. I also have no issue with using HP’s own ink for the life of the printer. My last printer, a workhorse HP Officejet, lasted for many years… until I cheaped out one day and put in generic ink. That was the beginning of the end for that printer. I don’t usually write long reviews like this but this new printer, it’s software, and the promise of years of trouble-free printing, really has me feeling like I made the right decision sticking with HP. Highly recommend.

Decent app. I like the app its fairly easy to navigate. The printer is ok it uses a ton of ink and the low ink indicator is not very accurate I threw away a couple cartridges before figuring the stupid pop up was not very accurate it will print a lot more before needing to change it out and even after I put a new one it still pops up when I print from certain devices. And last it’s not compatible with a lot devices. Not sure if I just bought an odd model or what but the model above and below this model number seem to be compatible with everything. Guess I’m just not lucky with HP printers. Last one I bought was a diff. brand but it worked with all my laptops , phones and iPad. And didn’t beg for ink every two weeks. But it did break in about a year so. I guess this one with its faults is the best choice

Very Dissapointed. I am very disappointed with the ink program. Upon starting I received two large cartridges. I didn’t print out ten pages when the color cartridge would not work. I kept getting an error message and though I would be contacted by HP. Then a week later my son needed something printed out for school. I would up going to the store and purchasing an ink cartridge so he could do his assignment. My credit card I used for the ink program expired about the same time and I did not respond to the emails they sent me regarding payment due and found out quickly that they take over your printer and you cannot use it until you are paid up. So all in all I’m paying them even though the cartridge they sent me was very short lived. I guess I’ll have to call them up and find out when I can get out of this program without them shutting down my printer. This program is nothing like I expected and in the long run I am paying much more than if I had just purchased cartridges from a local store.

Horrible and deceptive.. Both the computer app and the phone app took multiple tries to connect - an hour of my life lost to watching a spinning wheel. But the kicker is the privacy settings: you are given a toggle bar where one side is white and the other is blue. Which one turns on the device tracking? Your guess is as good as mine. So I looked online (nope) tried to chat with a HP help bot (nope) and eventually called HP. They wanted my personal info as well as my serial number to help me (yes to the serial number, nope to my info). Surprise surprise after several attempts to get my personal info they attempted to answer my privacy settings question without my personal info (the irony of this was lost on the representative). The HP rep said “gray” is off. But my choices were white or blue. The rep was unsure if white or blue was gray. Her directions didn’t say left or right, just gray. So I asked which setting is the default and she wasn’t sure either. So I picked the default, white, in the hopes that means HP isn’t tracking my use and selling my info but who knows. Deceptive as heck.

Usb printing is a joke. For some ridiculous reason usb printing is now 100 times harder to use then wireless, literally doesn’t make any sense. Attempted to setup a m29w on Mac, I installed Hp easy, which actually recognizes the printer through usb which is great! But the hp easy program then gets locked in a screen requiring you to get hp smart app to finish setting up your printer. That’s also ridiculous because I just installed a program thinking it would setup my printer but all it does is redirect you to another app that sets your printer up. Why not remove the fricken hp easy program then!? Especially because it’s listed on HP’s website as the program you NEED to use to setup your printer on Mac. Then in setting up a new printer in hp smart it just doesn’t recognize the printer through usb, I sat here for an hour watching the spinning circle while it tried to recognize the device. Meanwhile the hp easy easily recognized the printer instantly and even in printers and scanner setting on the Mac the printer shows up as plugged in through usb. My only problem is HP is REQUIRING the use of hp smart app basically and it doesn’t even work as good as hp easy?

DON'T GET INSTANT INK. If you haven't already purchased an HP printer, DON'T!!!!!! If you have, DON'T GET THEIR INSTANT INK!!! Once you subscribe to this service, they won't let you cancel the subscription without remotely turning off your printer and disabling ANY ink they have sent you for this program. Last month I didn't have much printing to do, instant ink works off number of pages printed, so I paused my service. I then received a threat under their notification center in their app they they would be deactivatng my printer for the paused month, and if I wanted to print I would have to purchase other ink cartridges as the ones they sent me through the Instant ink program wouldn't work until I reconnected my service with them. I don't care if that is even poss or not, I tend to believe that is an idle threat, but what kind of company threatens their customers to add an additional service they no longer want or they will turn your property off?? I won't be threatened by a mediocre company on their best day. You have lost a loyal customer forever.

Need a degree in IT for this printer.. Every single time I try to print something I get an error of some sort, and don’t get me started on the nightmare it is to get this thing to connect to the internet! It constantly has paper jams, and when you finally get it running smoothly it’s out of paper because it has the smallest paper tray on record! It’s also really frustrating that you can’t order more ink until the printer says it’s low, meaning if I have a really big print job I have to wait for shipping to print half of it. Technical support is non-existent as well, so don’t buy it thinking they will walk you through it. I have struggled daily with this thing since I plugged it in, it’s constantly glitchy, tells me paper is empty when it’s full, won’t print for no reason at all but I open the app I can get it to print from there, the list goes on. Not to mention, it doesn’t even print nice when I do get it to work, the page looks grainy and pixelated. Wish I could give it negative 5 stars, worst printer we’ve ever owned.

Nothing “smart” about HPSmart. I have struggled with this printer/app/software trifecta of disaster for far longer than I’d care to admit. From issues of the app simply never wanting to work in any sense of consistency, to the printer itself too stupid to recognized the difference between used and brand new ink, it baffles me I have not simply thrown the whole thing into the dumpster. There seems to be a new flavor of difficulty every time I want to use the thing, which is rare and saved only when there comes a time of desperate need. That is how much I despite using this printer. I have reinstalled the app more times I can count on one hand, due to issues that can range from being inexplicably unable to to save a pdf to something as major as not being able to use it at all because it can’t sustain itself from crashing long enough to log me in. And if I can miraculously get the program to execute its basic functions, the printer suddenly decides it will simply not print more than half a page, or worse, that it will cease to remember how to wirelessly connect to the computer in the first place. This product uses technology that makes it “sleek” and modern but is riddled with more bugs than a NYC dumpster and good luck manipulating their virtual assistant into getting you real, human help. I have tried time and time again to fix and make this work, but it’s clear now I will be staying away from ALL HP products from here on out.

Pretty good app. First off, I was never a fan of the big common printer names such as HP, epsom and the like. I felt like they gave printers away cheap only to price gouge on ink and do everything in their power to prevent the use of 3rd party cartridges. I preferred Brother and the fact I could use any ink. This tactic would trick a lot of people who aren’t tech savvy. Well I currently have an hp due to my elderly mother insisting and Its not as bad as it used to be. Hardware is pretty good, ink is reasonably priced and the app is great. The app makes using your hp printer much easier and gives full access to all advanced printer features and modes (scan, fax, copy, print). Nice to have that on a mobile device. I usually opt to use this app and my iPad over my PC or MacBook. I’ll just save the documents to iCloud and that’s that. I also love the fax feature and use it all the time. We have a dedicated fax line for our HP printer, but I always use this app bc it’s much easier to work with. So no need to get or keep a fax line. If only I could convince my stubborn mom to get rid of the line!

Trash. I have used HP printers for over 20 years. This printer is the first one that is trash. It just doesn’t work. From the get-go, there were no directions how to set it up. There is one paper with some stick, figures and arrows no words unfortunately I read words I need words to set something up. I’ve use this printer a couple times but it doesn’t work. It’s just every once a while H. Packard without authorization updates firmware to make sure I can only use H.Packard printer ink. I don’t mind that but I don’t like the lack of support, the lack of directions, and the fact that I pay good money for this back when it was full price and it doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money this is garbage. I’m surprised HP will put out a product like this. I’ll never buy any HP product ever again. It gets worse I try to register for the HP community support. I don’t like to register they don’t take the name you put in they don’t think the numbers you put in. They don’t think the phone number they don’t take the email. This is a garbage company making garbage products and taking good money what is scam

My beautiful, useful and user friendly all in all printer. This is the best, most user friendly printing experience I’ve ever had! I love this little machine. Everything is so simplistic. I never have to worry about ink, it actually tells my suppliers when it’s running low and they just send the ink to me in the mail! I love my beautiful, useful, user friendly all in all printer! I’ve done it all with this one machine! I have faxed, scanned, copied, printed, stored documents, edited and uploaded them to others all on this all and all printer. I’m not very computer literate but it easily syncs with my phone and laptop. I have gained so much confidence in my office skills, I now want to further my educational experience! Everything is online, now I feel that I can very successfully complete all of my goals! Thanks so much! Oh yes, last but not least the price is so reasonable. It will pay for itself within the first month! -especially if you like to print your own photos!

Eh. I’ve had major issues printing from my iPhone to my HP network printer because it chops off the bottom in the top of images when I print them from my phone and I can’t choose the size or change hardly any parameters, so I’ve stayed frustrated trying to use the print-from-phone feature.. So I downloaded this app in hopes that it would work, and it does! I printed the whole image and the quality is great! But WHY am I limited to printing five? I needed to print 15 copies so I had to do it three times, and it says “stay on the screen until your print job is submitted” but it stays on that screen the whole time. Also, the verify you’re a human was really annoying. And I had to do it three times. Why do I have to set up an account to use your app to print my own printer it’s made by your company? It’s a little weird. Maybe this is not an HP app. I don’t know . I was able to print my image the way I needed to print it so I will continue to use this, but it’s not quite as seamless or user-friendly as I had hoped. But still better than nothing!

Can’t print from iPhone 12. This app was functional on the iPhone 7 I had. The only issue was I wish I could print directly from gmail attachments but I have to pull everything into google drive to print. If there’s a way to print through gmail and I missed it...then I think it should be easier to figure out how to print from gmail so that’s still an issue to me. Beyond this though, I am now on an iPhone 12 and this app is basically useless. It’s connected to the printer but every time I try to print I get an error message telling me there’s something wrong with my internet connection. This is the only thing on my phone where I have trouble with the “internet” so I’m positive it’s not my internet connection. I switched back to my iPhone 7 to try it out and was able to print just fine. The support experience through the app is terrible, so that’s why I’m writing a review here. If whatever bug with the app on iPhone 12 is resolved, I’ll adjust my review but for now this app is totally useless to me and I can’t print anything.

Third HP printer is a no go. If I could talk to the powers that be at HP, they would get an earful. I am sick and tired of buying brand new printers and having the ink run out and signing up for your program and getting in the middle of a very important document and my printer shuts down because it says I need to contact HP support. What the… Seriously you guys whatever happened to the days of printers that you plug-in, you buy ink when it needs it and live happily ever after. Today I picked up a brand new cheapo 2700 series because it was 59 bucks and it’s cheaper than buying new ink for my other brand new jet pro 8035. Which has been sitting for months unusable. Every time I have to print a single document I have to either go to my sons house which is 4 miles away or go to a library or something of that nature. I’m sick and tired of having to be bound by a contract to do a simple task. I don’t ask for much, but when I need copies of something it’s usually for something very important. thanks again for yet another piece of technical wizardry that’s getting returned. because this one is not discoverable on the HP app.

-10. If I could give negative stars, I would! I had an hp printer, “had” being the key word here. I spent literally HOURS of my life going around and around and around, trying to get it to sync up on my phone with their app. which cannot automatically find the printer and once manually entered by IP address, won’t show up in the app. They have so much going on with their auto ink scam, that the functionality of their printers and their app are all compromised. Not to mention the 17 emails I got while trying to do a simple task of connecting my printer. Emails prompting me to complete the setup. …it was set up. Over and over again! Grrr! I even paid for a subscription and still spent more HOURS of my life, looking up troubleshooting, reading blogs, reading their website suggestions and even contacting them. All failed. Will never buy hp again. Bought an EPSON, plugged the printer in, hooked to wi-fi, downloaded the EPSON app and it immediately found the printer, connected, updated firmware. Worked. No emails, no harassment, no headache. Everything worked in less than 10 min.

Won’t let me Scan using my printer since the latest update of this App!!!😡. Ever since this App had the latest update about a month ago, it won’t let me use the Printer Scan option in the App! It claims that my printer does not have scanning ability even though it does! And I know my printer has scanning ability because up until the latest update, I was successfully able to use the printer scan option in this App to scan documents, photos, book pages or whatever, from my printer to this App! I think this is HP’s ploy to force customers to buy a new printer just so customers can scan from their printer to this App!😡 I used to LOVE this App. Now I HATE this App! I feel like HP is punishing their loyal customers by taking away a feature that was working until their latest App update! And I KNOW for a fact, without ANY doubt that the problem with scanning is not with my HP Laserjet All in One printer, because I am still able to scan from my printer to the older version of this App that I still have on my older iPad!!!😡 Shame on you, HP, for punishing your loyal, devoted and longtime customers, like me, by purposely blocking the ability to use the Printer Scan feature to scan from some older HP printers to this App!😡

Sub services. Basically you have to subscribe to use the printer you can work around it but unless you are a tech junkie like me it’s next to impossible and even then I’m solving new issues you can’t even use the app last time I knew without paying a subscription so everything must be done through hardware prompts, prompts that the user manual don’t tel you how to do you have to scour the Internet for answers it’s crazy like why should I have to pay monthly to use a printer that I bought and to use ink that I bought ( that’s the thing that will get you the most you can’t use or keep carriages from the sub service they must be used during active subscription and if you run out of pages tough… you can’t print more regardless if you have 20 spare cartridges, you can buy cartridges from the store and use those just need to bypass the app by getting the right drivers and using windows default printer tools. Phones a bit sketchy but same idea can be done be if you need to clean head or align it got to find the hardware key combos to make it happen.

Terrible app. This app DOES NOT WORK, nor it is required in order to use HP wireless printer. I finally figured it out. I was trying to set up my new hp printer and followed instructions that came with it. Second step was to download the app than everything else would be set up from the app. After connecting my printer to my WiFi next step would be to set up printer in the app. It would not work. It kept popping a window saying No network connection, try again. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I finally contacted customer support, which halos was useless. They wouldn’t know what the problem was either and couldn’t help me. Finally after a couple of hours of frustration and almost decided to return the printer I decided to just try printing something from my phone. iPhone had an option to print from every photo, document and everything. I started printing everything from my phone, pictures, emails etc just to make sure it works and it did!!!! I don’t need to use this useless app at all. As long as my phone and printer connected to the same WiFi, it prints just fine. I deleted this “smart” app. Can’t believe I was blaming my printer!!!

HP Smart for Mac. The HP smart is a good way to access mobile uses, printer setup settings, and various other useful tools. The software seems to work well. However, the development team seems to have left out a very important function for Apple Mac users that used to be in the old “HP Utility” application before “HP Smart” came around. The printers have a “scan to computer” function where you stand at the printer and load files and press the printers touch screen button to scan the loaded pages directly to a computer. This function can only be turned on to recognize a Mac computer to scan to by turning on the tool under the “HP Utility” scan settings on the computer itself and not through the printers webpage settings. Now that HP Utility is no more and we only have HP Smart this scan to computer setting is missing. There is no longer a way to scan straight from the printer to a Mac. Instead now you have to load the items to scan at the printer and then walk back to the Mac to press the scan button on the HP Smart app and then go back and forth to the printer again to retrieve the hard copy pages. Additionally, I assume an update to the software would be in the works to better support the apple silicon devices. The current version has to run in Rosetta.

21st Century App. I used to work in Information Technology back in the 20th century. I used to build exchange and NT servers for IBM when the internet for most was obtained by a screeching modem call. Oh how times have changed!! I love this app I might just do a scene from “Office Space” on my old laptop because I might not need it anymore! I can batch scan a document from my iPhone. The document to be scanned I put in the document feed tray on my printer. The document feed tray scanned it and then I edited the scan all on my phone. I then had multiple file types to choose. I saved it as a pdf which took hardly any space and I saved to a location of my choice. You pay a bit more for HP printers but “Brother;-)” it works so much better than my last multi-function printer(MFC) which was a lot less than this model. This scan to phone is new because I was using the scan to email which was a bit hit or miss. This scan to app is 100 times better way to go HP, I am liking the 21 century app! Bravo Zulu to you!

When you say you offer mobile fax You should mean it. I’ve been wasting my time and energy getting very frustrated while being stuck home very ill with my second bought with Lyme in less than 15 months and thought I’d give this mobile fax a try. Big mistake since stress makes Lyme so much worse and I am disappointed that I had to just give up. I have an IPhone XS Max and plenty of options like acrobat and Adobe to condense files into whatever PDF or dox is needed for faxing but nothing is working for the “so called easy to use fax” option and it has a mind of its own and just picks out a screenshot that I have no interest in faxing anymore and I have been dealing with severe symptoms for over two weeks now. I have no more time to play games with this shoddy fax system. In the past I never had problems with all the other options they provide but faxing using your Apple phone is futile. Perhaps someone would be so kind to guide me through the process since I’m in a difficult position. I would appreciate it more than you could understand. Thank you

HP Printing Review. This app is amazing! Here there are 5 people in my house, and only 1 working computer! As my sister is working on her Spanish project, I have to work on Science Fair, and my brother working on his Heritage project, we’re all fighting for the computer. I need to print out my graphs and photos and data tables, and this app makes it easy for my to do that. This app is very accessible and has many features provided. I will definitely be using this app 24/7! I think this app is only for HP printers (because of the app title), but I don’t think it has to be a color printer. My printer is a color printer so I’m not very sure, but if you have a HP printer, I 100% advise you to get this app! This app is free and you don’t have to pay anything to extra features. I love this app and I’ve LITERALLY had it for not even 5 minutes. I got to resize my photo and in one button press print! This app is phenomenal and it is extremely helpful for those with a single computer and struggles around their home.

Saves my life all the time!. What an amazing app!! Here are just a few things I live about this app: 1) mobile fax - not having to go to UPS store every random time I need to fax something is amazing! AND I have received faxes too and been able to print and digital save as PDF. Super duper convenient. 2) Scan to phone - I use my iCloud for all my documents. With the app I can load on the printer/scanner and hit scan on phone and it will scan a pdf that is super clear and easy to save. 3) No extra charge! Before I realized I had this app and how to work it, I was subscribed to a monthly e-fax app and it was a waste of money for the rare case I needed faxing. Saves me a ton of money I’m sure. 4) Activity is saved. I still have records of faxes I sent and received from 2018 - and it has saved me a couple times that I was still able to print the fax confirmation or copy of my documents. Things that I do not love about the app: 1) in order to fax a document - it must first be saved to the HP Smart Folder. So because I prefer to save directly to my iCloud, I either save it to iCloud and then save a copy to HP smart or I have to save directly to HP Smart Folder. Makes it harder to search for a document unless I remember faxing it then I just go to the app’s log. That’s is lol not much to not love! It’s a must have app for an HP printer/scanner/fax machine!! Thanks HP!

Finally a printer that I can rely on. I’ve had all sorts of printers, single printers, multi function monster of Printers and now I have an HP Officejet 5200 all in one. When I bought this I downloaded the app and thought ok now what? I usually just print from my computer or scan from the printer. I never had an app where I can print scan fax or create things from an app right on my phone. Everyone In Our house uses the app for school, work and personal business. I think my fav feature is the ability to scan from my phone multiple pages just by taking a picture of the pages. Then I can email, text, fax save all from my phone! It comes out like I ran it through the printer directly. This app is easy to use! I also signed up for the instant ink program right from the app which is a really great deal, and it is all managed from the app. Never run out of ink again! Download this app

hello?? listen to our issues!!. i used to be able to change the color options to print in black/white or color. but for some reason, that option is no longer there. i've last used the b/w option because i didn't need any color at the time. now i'm stuck with b/w with no option to change it. however, fortunately, that option is available when i use a pc to access hp smart. but it's so inconvenient to turn on my pc for a simple document that i can pull up on my phone. so basically, the hp smart app for iphone/ipad is useless, unless i'm printing in b/w. the only answer you get from their support is to go to the color option and switch from b/w to color. but it's a useless answer because that option is LITERALLY not there! that's what their support is not understanding! there is probably some bug/glitch that needs to be fixed, the option to change colors/bw print is not there! i've watched the yt videos from hp themselves on how to change the printing colors on the hp smart app and i wish the option was there and i know it was ONCE there, but it isn't there anymore!! i was frustrated for a whole hour before i decided to use my pc instead.

Stopped working. I liked the app and was helpful especially when away due to many medical issues that I have to be in the hospital. I’m able to print from hospital for my family even on the out of town hospital stays. Suddenly the app stopped working. I thought it was because needed to update my phone with the new ios15 but I was wrong. It still won’t work. I deleted the app and reinstalled and now it wont let me get pass the agreement page. I can use the back button but won’t go forward. Very upsetting. I’m thinking about switching brands if I can’t get this app to work and find a company that has a printer with app I can get logged into. The printer is useless if we can’t print from it. Between my kids school, my medical stays where I need the access and my husbands job having a working printer is a must. Tried to contact the app developer but sent me to a web page and it only wanted to help with purchases items. The app is not purchasing so it wouldn’t let me contact at least on that page it sent me too.

How do I change wifi connection?. Recently got a new modem, which means new network name (SSID). Wow, I didn’t know how many devices I have now that would be impacted by that. Made the change in the vacuum cleaner, it was straightforward. Even the sprinkler controller could do this without a hassle. And the HP printer app? Has never heard of this situation. Looked it up online, LOTS of hits (in other words, lots of people with the same problem), a few suggestions for hacks to erase the settings and start over as if it’s a new printer, none of which worked for me. The initial setup was clunky, support for making changes after setup is non-existent, I’m basically just going to end up doing any future configuration through the printer’s four-inch touch screen, and this app seems mainly designed to encourage me to use up my toner cartridges so I have to buy more. Why am I giving it two stars instead of one? Well, the original setup was… easy-ish. Not as easy as other similar apps I’ve used, but reasonably straightforward. I’ve loved HP printers for forever, but when it comes to the wi-if connection, they REALLY need to up their game.

Scanning and Enailing. My review score of three stars reflects a frustration with HP. When I first bought my Office Jet Pro 9015 about three years ago, the scanning app had this nice email feature, which was quick and simple. I would scan and immediately had the option to email, at which point it would load an email with the attachment. All I needed to do was address it and send. Now, If I want to email a scanned document, I need to scan the document, save to my desktop, go to Outlook, draft a new email, go back to my desktop and attach the newly saved pdf file. Some brilliant mind at HP thought I would enjoy pointing and clicking my mouse all afternoon. Another option would be for me to create an address book in the app. Why on earth would I waste my time doing that? I don’t know what motives your marketing crew, but it sure does not seem like it’s user-friendliness. Otherwise you would have left the app alone so people like me could direct our frustrations toward other tech companies, like Microsoft.

Set up challenging.. After persevering, seems fantastic!! Need phone help when directions and apps are coming at you from all directions, some scan-a-codes provide nothing ( out of date?? Or just not functioning well during covid? ). Since Tango X printer was on Apple and ordered thru them, I expected grtr ease of setup because Apple has been very good at insisting on that in past, just by nature of Apple carrying product when not an Apple product. Idea of automatically paying monthly for a printer plan and having ink arrive when I’ll be needing it is fantastic. I have no computer just phone and ipad, but so far so good. Why do we even need computers anymore for home use where we don’t do significant qty of printing—I’ll happily go to print/shop store if needed for great quantities. BUT set up definitely needs availability of someone to talk to when difficulty occurs, in part because at some point in my way past I had been HP printer registered owner, also, HP says go them to get app, I went directly to Apple for dwnload before realizing HP’s recommendation, so i was already off course to begin with!

Very Useful App. I find this app to be quite useful as it gives me a variety of options of printing from my phone. One feature I just took advantage of was the ability to link to Google Drive. This is useful to me because my school uses Google drive heavily, and my school laptop only prints on school network printers. This app allows me to access my drive and print at home through my phone. My only complaint with the app is that when I am on the preview to print a document, it takes awhile for it to be ready to print as if it’s not connected. In a minute or two it will give me the option to print as its ready. This could be reasons other than the app though, as I have an older HP printer, and my home network can also factor in. If you have an HP printer, I definitely recommend trying this app. I don’t regret it.

Hp printing has gone from OK to totally the worse.. From being able to choose what, where and how to print your school, work or personal projects at home after buying a printing and the ink, hp had taking control and charge extras fees for every single thing possible and if it's not posible to squeeze more money out of you they come up with something, and on top of you choosing to buy an hp printer and hp ink now they even charge you por the number of pages you print each month and on top of that they keep your laptop, tablet or phone monitoring day and night, and on top of all the points mentioned before on this review now they charge you for black and white pages or color pages, my question is what is next for hp? Having control of my gadgets, my printer that I bought for me to used as I wish and where and when I wish, they will probably thinking on controlling how many letters we print? Seriously I can not wait to get rid of my current printer and head to goodwill and find an analog printer that will allow me the freedom I deserve, even better be able to find another brand that's have nothing to do with hp since reading or hearing "hp" causing allergies and a huge amount of stress.

iOS app will not allow printing from default tray. If What is the point of a printer app that will not allow you to print? I have HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 printer. On both my iPhone & my iPad, if i am on a website, or within another app, and want to print, I select share, then print with HP smart. The only option that appears is to print to photo paper from tray 2. (I don’t have photo paper in tray 2. I have envelopes in tray 2. I have checked my settings a gazillion times - I have tray 1 set as default tray, and tray 1 has and is set for plain letter size paper. I have tray 2 set as secondary, and it is set for the envelopes I in fact have loaded in tray two. ) Printer keeps trying to print from tray 2, and the envelopes jam repeatedly (even though envelopes print just fine from laptop without jamming).. I have to clear the document from the queue to get it to stop. If I print from within the HP smart app, then it prints onto plain letter paper from tray 1 just fine. However, the documents you can access from within the HP smart app are VERY limited and not of any use to me.

HP printers are complete trash. HP printers are complete trash! I’ve spent over an HOUR to get get the “simple setup” printer to do anything. First the HP app would not load on my laptop it said for best results set the printer up on a mobile device so I set it on my phone. Surprise! To use this printer I have to create an HP account!?!? Why should I have to have an account to use a printer I paid for? Why do I need to use your app?! Why do you need to see what I am printing? Because I know that’s what apps do they track you. So I add another account to my growing list of passwords. I do the test print it works. Then I try to load the app on my laptop again. I finally get it loaded and try to test print…. NOTHING!!!! It says it’s printing, it’s in the que, nothing! I say screw it I’ll print the one page I need off my phone. The test print worked before. Right? Print. NOTHING!!!!!!!! I try pushing the power button on the printer and NOTHING!!!!!! I unplug it, plug it back in and try to print again. Ok now it says waiting to print. Sounds good. The “rate this app” pops up, I give one star. The “write a review” pops up, I write this. I’M STILL WAITING FOR THIS ONE PAGE TO PRINT. I would return this piece of trash if it wasn’t past the return date and don’t know what I did with the receipt. Guess it’s my fault for not setting it up when I bought it.

HP Instant Ink Can Burn in You Know Where!!!. I cannot even begin to express my absolute SEETHING hatred of the HP Instant Ink subscription you practically force onto the poor schmucks that buy your printers. I’ve already spent a decent amount of money buying a printer from (what I thought) was a reputable brand and now I can’t even consistently use it?!?! I absolutely loved my previous HP! But the hunk of garbage I had to purchase when my old one went out has me swearing off the HP brand going forward. The fact that you LOCK MY ABILITY TO PRINT BECAUSE I DIS-ENROLLED FROM YOUR SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE is just absolutely insane to me. I don’t rent this printer from you, I own the dang thing! I should be able to use whatever friggin cartridges I want (again, THAT I PAID FOR!!!) without having my printer lock me out of printing documents. Then, to top it all off, you have to spend an hour troubleshooting and updating account info just to print off a single frickin’ page! Whoever dreamed up this garbage rip off of your customers can join the Instant Ink subscriptions in you know where. I understand that the subscription might be beneficial for people that print consistently, but dear lord… F HP as a brand after this and good riddance!

Troubles with scanning. When I start a scan job that is supposed to scan several pages, process them, and then upload them to Dropbox the job never finishes. It just spins on “Processing page x”, where x is the last page. Just keeps spinning. Never quits. I just have to force-kill the app. I’ve had to disable the final upload step and do it manually. It had previously been a really efficient way to process a bunch of multi-page scans. Today the printer/scanner had a real fit. It kept “processing” even after I force-killed it. I’d restart it, still “processing”. It finally lost network connectivity. I tried to get to the web interface to cycle power but the pages took forever to load and then wouldn’t execute correctly. Finally all connectivity disappeared, and the front screen went blank. After several tries I finally was able to get it to shut down. Started it up and tried scanning with manual processing and what I did worked fine. Seems like a race/memory leak or something. Is anyone else now having problems? I just upgraded to iPadOS 14.0.0. Five stars if it would work correctly again.

I’m only writing a review because they keep asking me to write a review so I’ll be honest. I’m not one to write reviews because I don’t care enough but since the app wanted me to write a review so bad here you go. This app/printer is terrible. Every time, not once not twice, EVERY TIME I try to print something with this app it can’t find my printer. Every single time I have to reset the connection on the printer or restart the app on my phone because for some odd reason the app can’t find the flipping printer ever. If this only would happen occasionally that would be a different story but no this happens every time. It’s my grandparents printer so every time they need something printed I need to do it because there’s no way they could figure it out. The app is supposed to be easy, which it is, only if it could actually find the printer the first time. They need to update the app so that it works with the printer most of the times (note I didn’t say always just most of the times please) instead of me having to screw with this printer every time they need something printed. Hint: I only said the word screw because I’m sure Apple wouldn’t like the f word. Do better developers!!

TEMP FIX SINCE IOS 16.2 on iPad killed HP Smart App. Worked for years. HP needs to create a patch now. I cannot connect to my HP Laserjet 4300N which is very old but always worked thru the app, but I can connect to a new HP Envy 6255. Every time I go to print to the HP Laserjet 4300n I got as far as a spinning “Processing” and nothing more. Never had that issue in years and years of using this app. After days and days of messing with this, I found a workaround that really got me back to printing with the old laserjet. Whatever document or snapshot I save, I save it to Files or even Photos. I open the Smart APP first. Make sure I am on the screen of the printer I want to use, this being the Laserjet 4300n, go to menu at bottom that says VIEW & PRINT, which takes me to choices where my document is saved. I select document, then PRINT PREVIEW, AND IT PRINTS! So far this is the only way I can get it to recognize the printer without that spinning message.

Spend more time configuring than printing. You always spend more time you don’t have to spare to configuring and creating accounts and saving those accounts on a notebook you don’t have at hand. Then you need to wait on another time were you have free time to focus on configuration and accounts. Just to print one page. On windows is worst were sooner or later you have problems with a driver and need to reconfigure. Where are the engineers? Stop making trash. I want a single button to print and that’s it! No accounts. No nothing. A single button to print. To spend 2 seconds to print. Not 20 minutes. I will not make an account and if I did I don’t remember it. I can no longer print with this app because I won’t spend my time creating another account. I used the time for the review. A definite unintall after review. Hopefully a higher hierarchy manager read this and order to enable a big button to print without accounts. Network password and printer should be the only thing to enter only the first time and local storage it on user’s device app. Less than 4kb text storage. Easy. I wanted to see a single first top centered big button labeled “Simple Print”.

Limited printing options. The printer I’ve got is definitely capable and built well enough with the features I needed when I purchased it. The app that is developed for mobile use (this app) is by far the most frustrating experience every single time I go to use it! If my phone falls asleep (screen goes dark) the print job will terminate mid print. You’re not able to do anything else on your phone (if someone calls you’ve got to ignore it) and the absolute worst part is that you CAN NOT print more than five copies at a time AND you can’t print two items on one page!!! So far I have printed 70+ wedding invitations on card stock and could only do five at a time. Then pull those, flip them, put them back in to the paper receiving tray just to print FIVE more again (two invites fit on one page). There’s zero customer service for options or to call and get a clear answer on how to fix this and it seems the virtual agent from this app only gives you options on what you can ask- one being literally, “Save the planet.” Are you kidding me?! What a joke! I need to print bulk copies guys. Why is this such an issue with the app?

Print stops when app closed. It’s a very good app to print wirelessly however the app needs to be running on the screen for the print to happen. I had a very large pdf file that I was printing and throughout the duration of the print I could not use my iPad because as soon as I would get out of the app the print would just pause. That’s a huge problem for someone like me.

Present success. I got my mum a Deskjet 3632 for her 48th bday and she enjoyed it so I tried getting the app but the instructions said you could setup multiple devices to printer... and it worked! Everybody else in my family said it only have 1 device allowance. Lol. And my dad thought the printer didn’t come with a power cord lol!!! Anyway lots of suprises and really cheap! I got it at BigW for literally $24! Really good! 10/10!

Wireless printing works well using personal devices. Had trouble connecting work laptop to the printer. Both printer and work laptop are connected to home wifi network. Automatic WPS and manually entering WPS pin failed to connect. Current work around is to email to mobile phone. Disappointed that an extra step is required to perform task.

Great for a small price. I found the online support really helpful for someone who was only using a phone and had connections to wifi issues. Once set up the app makes the printing and scanning of things a dream. I also signed up to the ink system where they send you ink as required and found that really helpful, I was getting low-ish on ink and they sent new supplies so I have them ready. A+ all round!

Not able to reinstall after update. It was working fine until it got updated 2 days ago... I’m using an iPhone 6 I know it’s a stone age phone with a 12. Something update and now this app is telling me that I need a 13.0 and later to use the app.. oh come on... I have things to print and I don’t have AirPrint in this phone at least do one that can support old phones or ipad team.. kinda sad with ur service here

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏. This app is extremely efficient and literally prints out whatever you want in just a few seconds. This app is so much better than the normal way of printing because with the normal way you have to find the printer which normally takes forever but with HP it works instantly. 👌

Awful. App is slow to load, each time you click on something it takes ages to load and I’ve setup my printer multiple times but when I go in a few days later, it asks me to set up a printer as there’s none setup. I try to do it again and it can’t find my printer despite it being turned on and in the same wifi network. This has been by far the worst printer experience I’ve ever had. I’d not want to go through this even if it was a free printer, I can’t believe I paid money to go through this ordeal.

So far so good!. Have just set up my new printer and am testing all the features out. I’m impressed so far for such a well priced printer! It was easy to set up with my phone. I’m excited about being able to print something from my phone - just take a photo in the app! It’s also very compact and sleek looking. The scanning is a little noisy but it’s not too bad.

Good when it works. The Smart Phone app is great when it works, but occasionally serves up errors like “There was a problem connecting with the server. Please try again later”. Frustrating when you have just waited minutes to scan multiple pages. No way to save as a draft and troubleshoot.

can’t sign in or create a new acc. Been using this app for many years, no drama’s. Recently stopped because of the sudden sign out of my HP account. I have been struggling to sign back in as the webpage is no longer available and cannot create a new account as I come across the same issue. I have a HP printer and having the app makes it easier and convenient to use but with the current situation I’m planning on getting rid of the app and possibly the printer as well. The app is annoying as you cannot use any of the features unless you sign in to your HP account.

This is a good printer once you get it working. I had HUGE issues getting my laptop (MacBook) to download the HP app. I ended up downloading it to my phone (IPhone) instead, it worked really well and I have had no other issues. I would recommend this printer, it connects and prints quickly and scanning is a breeze.

Absolutely ridiculously hard to setup!. I just purchased the HP OfficeJet 8010 and have spent many frustrating hours trying to set it up! I keep getting sent from the blue tooth too weak or just basic “ setup is incomplete “ Frustrating Lol even sending this review is hard work as the nicknames I choose has be taken

Exceeded my expectations for features and simplicity. This is one of those apps that has to be experienced to be appreciated. From the literal seconds it takes to set the printer up through pairing with the phone or the ability to print, scan and store from a simple voice command this app is really the killer feature of the HP printer range.

Problem. We have had the printer for about 2 years now, it has worked perfectly fine. Yesterday I tried to print an image but a paper jam kept happening. I kept moving the paper, removing paper and adding paper but nothing happened. Equally as regularly the printer would say out of paper even thought there was enough paper. I looked inside to see if there was any paper jammed inside the printer but I didn’t see any. As well as that, when the printer was printing, the paper would shrivel up and move to the side and also make a funny noise. I also tried to print other images, turn the printer on and off, take everything on my device off list and re-open the app, but it still didn’t work. If anyone knows how to fix this issue please help.

App options not really functional. As a basic printing interface, app is fine. For the more advanced printing settings, the app does not provide details intuitively. Particularly, the menu option for “Supported Supplies” does not indicate what type of ink (or any other supplies) supported by the printer, but only takes you to a window for a subscription service. The buried links to stores for ordering inks individually doesn’t take you to the correct supplies link as well, only to general homepages, so doesn’t identify which supplies are supported either. There isn’t a way to tell either what the ink levels are. App appears to exist as a way to push subscription services, rather than a useful management tool for the printer.

Quality and Simple. The app is so easy to set up with the Tango printer. Printing from my computer and mobile devices is a breeze. The scanning function on the app produces quality pdf and allows for quick and easy business processes.

Pretty handy app. Seeing that I do more and more work with my iPhone and iPad, it is so handy to be able to print direct from my device rather than having to send the file to my laptop then printing. Early days using the app. But so far it does everything I need.

Functionality A++++. I usually don’t rate things but oh my god this app makes even the most tech challenged feel capable. I love the scanner feature on your phone too. Instead of having to take photos of documents you can use your camera to ‘scan’ them and they come up perfect just like you’ve used a scanner!!

Very handy. I wish I had this app back when I was in High School this would’ve saved me so much stress! Nowadays I rarely need to print things but when the time comes that I need something printed from my phone, this simple app is really handy. Was so easy to find my printer on the app, no hassle whatsoever. There’s something satisfying about touching the print button on my iPhone and 30 seconds later you start to hear the printer working from another room. Definitely recommend especially for office workers or students!

Frustrating. Frustrating to set up. Took forever to work out how to print with the printer. No where doe it tell you about a password. Eventually found it in the tiny screen that when you touch it goes off into something else because my fingers are larger than the places you need to touch. Took me almost an hour to get it to print. Ended up direct printing by connecting via my iPad. Still not got it working on my Mac. Why do I have to print via the app! Grrr. If I knew it was going to be this difficult to set up and use I wouldn’t of purchased the printer

Bug needs to be Fixed. I have been using the HP Envy 5032 without issue until the recent software update. When scanning multiple pages, the first page scans ok but the remaining pages are all flipped so they are upside down. I tried scanning the pages upside down with the same result.

Good once up and running. Bit of a nightmare trying to get my devices connected took many, many attempts. No standard outlet available for direct connection to modem. Had big problems getting devices to find the Printer. Once it was up and running seems to work well.

Love it!. Love it, love it, love it! The best & most sophisticated printer we’ve ever owned. Love how you can print from the app, colours are vibrant & it prints a lovely photo just from the phone! Also like the cute noises it makes lol. I’m hopeless with using printers but this just makes my 52 year old non tech savvy self super easy. Highly recommended.

Has been great. I’ve had this program for years with no problems at all. Last few days it won’t print from ipad. Lately have been trying to print and it say no printer. Wondering if the program needs to be updated again

Pretty cool. I have the DeskJet 2700 Series. The App is pretty cool. I love the remote features. I've been able to get the direct print from email function to work, as well as copying and scanning. I am working on printing wirelessly from my icloud files, which is where I was running into a few problems with my HP laptop and iPhoneX. Not sure what is happening there. I hope to get the problem solved tonight. It's been nice getting familiar with a new device. I'm just a bit sad that the wireless function isn't yet working for me yet. Will have to wait until tomorrow to get HP phone support. Glad it's a free call. See how I go.

Have no idea why make it difficult to use. I just wanted to scan a document but I couldn’t set up the printer (hp deakjet3700). The app always said my printer was offline even if I just printed a document. Try to register an instant ink but it needs to go to the website that my laptop warned about the virus. My previous printer (another brand) was more easier to use. It just only connect through the cable and download a program. No need to login before scanning. I suggest you should improve the system that is less complicated to use.

Trying to report a bug but no customer support (paid subscriber too!). I literally go in circles trying to get Last Pass to Autofill passwords. I open my web browser or app I’m trying to sign in to, sign in that way, then am prompted to sign in to the Last Pass App, then when I do I get taken back to my browser where I am promoted to sign into Last Pass again, then get diverted back to sign in on the Last Pass app. Round and round in circles so I’ve given up and just open the Last Pass app, and copy paste my sign in details. Frustrating. Trying to get any customer support is a joke even though I’m a paying subscriber.

Honestly just a Chrissy pressey.. So because of a lack of intimacy between my parent and I after the birth of our first child. I’ve given up and resorted to taking an interest in small slightly satisfying things such as; tools for work, or home, or office supplies, or bicycle parts. None of which have any correlation, other than they bring me a small amount of joy. All in all, great product to play around with when I’m not watching my little angel grow up in front of my very eyes. Enjoy your Christmas and have a happy new year. - printer guy #42

Complicated, fiddly and frustrating. Setting up the HP Deskjet 2721 printer has taken me a whole evening. I wanted it to print from my windows laptop as well as from my iPhone. Each step was tortuously baffling with many dead-ends. The virtual assistant was also pretty useless. I’m not sure if it’s working fully yet but have managed to print a few documents now from both devices so it’s probably ok. Can’t face setting up the scanner tonight as well - too exhausted from all the hassle. Also, the power cord connection to the printer is flimsy as hell and the power stopped several times due to the wobbly connection. And the first few printed pages were very patchy and streaked. So all in all I’m pretty disappointed with this printer and wish I had bought something different.

Worst printer I’ve ever had (HP envy 6430e). Printer doesn’t print. Spent over 30hours across weeks trying to get it to print. Hooked up the wifi, replaced paper changer the HP original inc cartridges with new HP original cartridges. Looked up the error codes 0 & 9 and followed the online steps to resolve them. Printer then changes from yellow status (error) to blue status (good to print). Then I’ll attempt to print only to have the printer return once again to yellow and start all over again. The app doesn’t help either as it is connected to the printer, says every thinks ready. But when trying to print, has yet another error and the printer does nothing. If your looking for a good printer I’d steer clear of the HP envy 6430e as it’s been nothing but trouble since we got it! Mind you if it actually printed I’d probably give it a better review.

Easy setup and works well. Some of the drawings could have been a bit more detail to let you know where and which packing stickers were that had to be remove but after that, the setup was an absolute dawdle. Connection to our local WiFi

Takes me two hours to set up and still with error. This app is poorly developed and bad interface with HP print. Causes dramas all the time. like slow detection, keep loading the page for ages etc. It took me two hours to set up and finally it told me there was an error with my black ink cartridge, it is not authentic but I used the test cartridge which coming with the printer. Spent another one hour to reset it but still same result. So frustrated and disappointed, I will return it tomorrow

Wonderful easy-to-use the best. I love how it’s so easy to set up. Printer/scanner at start copier is Light to carry around. This easy app that you can use any time you want. Also when I bought the printer didn’t realise that you can copy and scan things but then when I got home I was amazed and it was the best thing ever.

Basic and good for the price. To scan and print basic documents it is fine. To print any documents with pictures it’s pretty ordinary and the only way to scan/copy is by the flat bed so it will only do one document at a time, can’t use the feeder. Overall it is good value for money the ink it comes with is minimal so purchase more at the time of buying the machine.

Weird experience. The app was fantastic and I used it extensively for scanning documents to be saved as pdf’s BUT all of a sudden it stopped offering the option to save as PDF and would only save in a photo format. I tried to uninstall it hoping it would work properly after I reinstalled it. But for some reason it doesn’t uninstall and will not open or do anything it I try to launch it. Such a shame as I’ve been looking for just this type of app but unfortunately it doesn’t work and cannot be uninstalled.

Thanks HP for filling out my review! (Need B&W support in photos!. Everything in brackets appeared when I pressed ‘Review’, including my name! Seems like HP is gaming the system! I’ve had HP apps on computers before “smart phones” and they had some benefits. I could see how much ink was available and how many copies made etc. This app is totally useless. Ink supplies simply sends me to an Internet page for ordering supplies every other function is unnecessary for me. It does not relate to the printer I own and run and offers no feedback on the actual operation of my can my printer. Contrary to the instructions you do not need the app on every smart device you own in order to print. In iOS the printing shows the available printers anyway I am now about to uninstall this useless app. John (the real one] (Nice app, connects nicely with my iPhone and iPad but I need more control of paper sizes and ink in all sections and especially photos. I photo my bank payments and print to the reverse of my bill. In full colour this is a total waste of ink. John)

Works well. I was having trouble printing with the iOS itself photos print too small. This app lets you unlock options like fit to page and resize and works as you would expect a program like this would. It would be really cool for photos if you could do basic darken, lighten and colour correct functions from within the printing app itself for convenience but I guess you can use another app in combination with this one anyway. Good app, good printers.

HP Smart Tank 7300. I have had HP Printer before upgrading and loved it. This one not so much. The printout will say I’m connected but go to print and it tells me I’m Offline. If I could take it back I would. Not happy at all. Even when I had it working, I had to sign in to HP site to be able to Scan. Whatever happened to plug and play. Wishing I had never bought it - thinking it doesn’t like my Mac and all the information seems to want to take you to information for Windows

Easy to set up. Set up: Turn on all the devices wifi (hp printer is on automatically, iPad, phones) Bluetooth and all you need ,one important is download the hp app. First I set up manually then I put my wifi password to the printers touch screen. As it needs wifi connectivity to be recognised and I did my first print using hp app. It was easy. Hope this will be good to me all the time.

HP DESK JET 4120e. 3 easy steps they say I’m so Frustrated I’m spending half a day trying to find the printers details model number . All that comes up is 4000 NOT 4100 which is close not 4120e you can’t call anyone other than the deal with geeks to you which would cost more than the printer itself I press print it tells me there are shut up issues “”WHAT A SURPRISE”” and I may not be able to do all the things that it can do I just want it to PRINT . If I could give it 0 stars I would . Scott McGown .

Disappointed customer. I have always been able to print from my phone or laptop to my printer, but now I cannot get it to connect to WiFi without having a modem. Before it used its own WiFi but now will not connect via this. I understand Microsoft are making it impossible to continue using Windows 7 , but was very disappointed in HP seeming to also put restrictions on my Laptop and Printer which are both HP products.

Printing difficulty. I find that I waste so much time trying to troubleshoot the printer and actually get it to print. As I write this message, I am currently trouble shooting. I was under the impression that hpinstantink service was meant to ensure availability of ink and make printing more efficient. It has actually been much more complicated than going to the shops and buying a new cartridge. I’m not sure of the benefit of a monthly plan when I waste hours trying to print a document.

❤️❤️❤️. Compared to other printer brands that we tried HP is so easy to setup, what’s advertised is what you get and it’s easy to use. Not sure why we tried to change brands. Our previous HP lasted more than 12 years and two countries and is still working, just outdated with new module technology.

Great service. After 10 years of operation our HP 8600 Office jet pro plus printer stopped printing so knowing it was low in ink bought new ink , still would not print so contacted HP printer support. After completing the tests it was found to be a printer hardware fault, thfatvit would be cheaper to buy a new printer the fix the old so was offer a great price for the office Jet Pro 8020e. It arrived within the allotted time and HP tech support help set it up and we could not be happier. Great support and back up, not forgetting to mention the 6months of free ink!! 👏👏👏👏👏

Great Little Printer. Have had this printer a few months now for occasional use. This printer is very compact, cheap and super easy to use if you wish to print straight from your phone. Just a few clicks. My daughter helped set it up and had no issues. Would definitely recommend if you want simple and basic features only. Very happy with my purchase.

Piece of ship. I keep falling for HP printers.. it’s been about 10 years since I threw out the last one and swore never again for how complicated absolutely everything was, I spent more time trying to connect to networks than the time it took to print a sheet of paper. Just bought a new 4123 series, thinking things surely got better since then... I download and open the HP Smart app on my phone, go to set the printer up and Lo and behold, the app says there are no available wifi networks like my effing phone isn’t connected to it right now... FFS HP, get your freaking act right!

Cannot print black and white. Not sure why this keeps happening, but every now and then, the option to select between colour and greyscale printing just disappears. This happens on both my iPhone and iPad. Every now and then, the option shows up again, but it’s not there for the most part, and it’s really annoying, and sometimes I do end up printing in colour out of desperation. Is this a ploy by HP to get more people to waste their colour ink?

Worst printer ever. Waste of time and money, I have had nothing but issues with the hp envy I brought. It is extremely difficult to use and set up and constantly having problems such as not recognising the ink cartridges which are the exact same as what came with it. Wish I had brought a different printer

HP smart. HP smart is a really fun machine that helps you print down any photos you want if you don’t know how to print photos from the Internet take a screenshot by pressing the home and off button at the same time this is why I rate HP smart five stars

Hp wireless printer,. It is really lovely to be able to print wirelessly, but by the time I turn on the printer, then have the printer access the document it is about 5 mins loss of time. It would be just as quick to turn on the computer, access document and print by my old Cannon. I find this new printer very cumbersome. It serves me right for buying cheap.

I’ve had better. This printer can be slow to respond and tends to perform maintenance at the most in opportune times which is frustrating

Good fax. Good fax

Not worth a penny. Nothing works first try and often takes troubleshooting to get it to work. Grade F

Hp printer scanner. Hp has excellent printers and easy ti use and support is also great xcellent

Difficult. Our two printers often disconnect and have major difficult problems trying to print what we want. Happens very often. Even unplugging the printer and plugging back in does not help.

Login to use printer?. Really?

Can’t connect with the printer. After updating the version, the app can’t connect with printer

Pure Hell. Disfunction sprinkled with mild extortion. Even if you pay the ransom the machine doesn’t work. I wish I bought any other printer.

Hp app for iPhone and iPad does not work anymore. Hp app when trying to scan or print does not connect to printer properly, says printer is ready but when attempt to get ink levels cannot display. When try to scan says printer is not connected. From laptop printer works fine to scan etc with app on laptop.

Forced to create account to use basic features of printer. You would think scanning a document on a printer would be pretty easy. Load the paper, open the software, click scan. Not with HP. To scan documents, they require you to create an account. Lol SO shady. Guess I’m returning my printer!

HAPPY & SATISFIED!!. I love scanning my documents on my iPhone but since this! My scanning quality is way better!! I love it!

Doing amazing job. A must have app if you have a wireless HP printer

Horrible app. I downloaded the app and tried to set up my printer. No matter what I did it would not recognize my printer. I keep getting the message that no AirPrint printers are found. I followed all the instructions I got from Apple regarding air printers and from the HP trouble shooting website. Nothing has worked. I can’t print anything. Not from within the app itself or from my iPad email, websites, etc.

Best scanning app ever seen. Best app to scan the documents

Worst app ever. Thanks to HP I will never buy any of their products again

Best first printer. I like how easy the set up was on this printer. It is our first printer and we are happy with it Thanks HP- Looking forward to more printing on the future

HP sign in now required just to scan a document. App was fine until version 12.9.0 which now requires that you sign into an HP account to scan a document on your own printer and computer in your own network. Arbitrary and unnecessary privacy encroachments described as “bug fixes” and “minor changes” erode trust. There is absolutely no justification for requiring HP sign in just to scan documents. Up until recently HP sign in was only for “exciting features to enhance the printing experience”. No idea what they were and had no interest. Scanning documents is entirely different. Will be returning the printer and never buying an HP peripheral again if not reversed.

Great Experience. HP is a company I always admire. It’s product and solution never failed me, not a single time! Thank you for being simply the best!

Works great now…. It seems that HP finally got a developer that knows what was needed and how to fix it. All glitches seem to be resolved. Thank you HP for making it easy to maintain a home office and provide quality work to my customers.

Overly complicated - takes your information. Impossible to plug in, set up, and print. App (which takes all your information by accessing your files, otherwise won’t work), makes you jump through 17 more hoops than is necessary to print a document. Don’t waste your time with HP products - a disappointment of the highest order. I hope whoever signed off on this fleet of printers and this unnecessary app are ashamed. This is what textbooks refer to when they say ‘over-designed’. Printers don’t need to connect to all your files and store your info... they need to print. I’m not even going to return my printer or sit through rounds of troubleshooting or customer retention with HP. I’m going to revel in the unfettered joy and satisfaction of throwing my deskjet into a quarry. I’m not even going to donate it or resell it. NOBODY deserves to suffer like I have.

Frustrating. Wont be print a picture nicely or properly and a document comes out without being able to read it. Cant get anyone to help besides a virtual assistant who doesnt actually help.

Horrible. Do not purchase deskjet. Even thier twchs couldn’t not figure this printer out.

Absolute frustrating experience. Brand new, Printer Error!!! After installing the cartridges as instructed, I am left with an error message. “Use Setup cartridges that came with your printer.” Retried this 10 times same error, still stuck. What a piece of garbage.

blank pages. Ho still printing blank pages

So inconvenient. Before the app was a five star, now you need to make an account and sign in to scan paper. To make it even worse, sessions can expire. If I have a printer and an app why can I not just scan the paper without going through a whole process. A headache, honestly.

Sick system. This was a nitemare to set up on my iphone. There were so many roadblocks the average person would have beat this printer to smithereens with a hammer 1 hour ago

Boo 😒. It is so bad DO NOT DOWNLOAD 😒😢😢👎

Super !. Super !

Piss poor connection between Apple IPhone 11Pro Max and HP printers. Piss poor connection between Apple IPhone 11Pro Max and HP Printers!!! So frustrating, as it took me 2 Hours to install the network connections so I could print 1 page. I’ve had mostly HP printers all my life and this one is brand new as my old HP printer stopped and HP doesn’t make ink for my old HP Printer. I bought this printer as HP duped me with their slick advertising on easy printing from your mobile devices. Had HP added Apple’s AirPrint to their printers they would be head and shoulders above the competition. I think I’m gonna buy from a different printer company next time. You’re loosing a loyal customer HP.

Staying home. Do you to staying home I figure out away to fax information to my Dr. He would not give out email. It works Great I love it..

Simplicité et efficacité. Deux mots pour résumer mon expérience client !

App works great. Hi , Wanted to let you know how thrilled I am with the camera scan function on The HP smart app. It always works flawlessly! Wayne Nickel JerBear Books

Just buy another printer. HP printers are like the juggernaut of bad printers. Unsurprisingly, this app sucks too. One day my printer status just changed to ‘unavailable’ and I cannot for the life of me get it to print. This app will just tell me it can’t find my printer, and that I should connect both systems to the same wifi, even though they are literally both connected to the same wifi. There’s an issue at every turn, which feels so much worse cause the app is so slow. Just when everything seems to work out, I try to print something. Wait. The print button is greyed out… what should I do??? I DON’T KNOW THIS APP DOESN'T TELL YOU!!!

Easy to scan & email. App is easy to use and indicates the status of your ink cartridges at all times. Love the scan from your phone feature. Fastest way to scan and email docs I have encountered. Bravo!

Printer keeps dropping wifi. It might be my wifi set up but three times in a month the wifi connection has dropped , the software on scanning just says this feature not available , when I unplug everything wifi router printer the Ho smart works as expected.

Worst printer I ve ever owned !!!. It’s the worst printer ever !!! And not because of the printing , it’s a wireless and every time the power goes out it’s a major fight to get it back on line !!! Will never own a wireless printer again !!!

HP Printer scanner. Very annoying that in order to use your printer, you must log into HP frequently otherwise it locks you out of using a lot of the features.

Can’t print from anywhere. It says supporting print from anywhere with my HP Pinter but actually it didn’t work with LTE out of home

App leaves a lot to be desired…. …it doesn’t stay connected to the printer and glitches at almost every use.

This app is amazing!!!. This app if honestly revolutionary and so easy to use! I like that fact that you can scan in multiple different ways as well as send faxes all from your phone. It’s easy to use and very easy on the eyes too

Commentaire. Je l’aime mais impossible de trouver la fonction recto-verso. Pouvez-vous m’aider?

Printer never connects.. Biggest mistake of my life. Touch doesn’t work and printer never connects

Save yourself the hassle. Absolutely terrible. This app and the “wireless printers” don’t work at all. I would rather truck down to the library every time I had a print job for the rest of my life than use this app or their home printers. Save yourself the hassle and don’t get the app or the 2700 printer. I would be really sad if my only job was to design printers or apps and I made this.

Mid. Great but slow

Super. Facile à utiliser

Why is it so complicated. Why do I have to give hp all my information just to connect to my printer? Just a data grab for personal information. Stick to printing not trying to steal data for your other business units.

A little printer with a big heart. Hi hi my name is Mike and I bought this printer a few months back from Best Buy on sale. I needed it because I work out of my pick up truck doing Railway construction and I need to print my daily permits. I bought this printer because it said I could air print, well I have to admit that so far so good I’ve printed about 12 sheets and it’s a fantastic little printer. It was a little tough to get going I must admit, but that could just be my computer skills, not keeping up with the times. I didn’t understand why. Reconnect to it after I had already printed some pages a day or two earlier but thanks to my girlfriend and reading the instructions to her three times and finally got it! Let’s hope this printer lasts for a long while. I did see a Cannon printer on sale with the same specs pretty for $55 at shoppers drug mart in Ontario. That was down from $129.99. I was going to return it, but my girlfriend told me not to do it and that this was a better printer. She’s usually not wrong. If it breaks down I will update this review but for now it stays as it is!

Sucks! Buy another printer. The app and the printer are a serious pain. But something else.

It worked ! Wow. Lol didn't expect it to work a little slow printing but awesome app

printer. The best so far

I love this printer. I have always loved HP products but is wasn’t until recently when I tried to be cheap and buy an Epson product that I realized how much I missed and love HP. I brought an Epson all in one WF 2540 at least 5 years ago and I didn’t really start using it until about 3 years ago. It could have been the fact that the technology was out dated but I don’t want to give them any excuses because I had my HP for 10 years before she died on me. There was always a problem and their printer always found away to annoy me. I have found a new love with the HP Printer and their app it makes everything so easy. Plus, I get to do most of my work on the one thing that stays in my hand and that’s my cellphone. The app is extremely useful as well.

Frustrated in Florida. Your recent update is again giving me grief. I am completely connected to my wifi and I go to print and it keeps saying my printer is offline. Yet every time this happens I check the printer and it is definitely connected and it’s not 4’ from my router, so it’s not a distance issue either. This is infuriating as I need to unplug the router, wait 60 seconds and do the same for the printer to get it to work. I’m grateful that this has fixed it each time, even if only for a little while. This should not keep happening!!! When this is not happening I’d give you 5 stars, but not with this continuous problem. This is about the 3rd time an update has caused this. I’m sick of it. I love my printer and I’m in the Instant Ink program which I absolutely love! I recommend that to people all the time. But this problem makes it hard for me to do that. Why can’t an update work and not keep causing this printer offline problem?!

HP Printer. Well HP I think you finally got it right. My first printer I bought was an HP. That thing gave me waaaay more problems than what it was worth. I decided to give HP another chance a few years later. I bought the HP OfficeJet 8022. I’ve had it for a few months now. This is the best and easiest printer that I have ever used. It doesn’t malfunction or send me dumb errors or have part of it that never worked from the beginning like my first printer. Everything works perfectly, no paper jams, and to my surprise, I set up the fax feature through the app, and I didn’t have to connect the printer itself to any kind of phone cord or anything. I just sent a fax in a matter of minutes without any issues. Good job HP!

My HP Office JetPro 8600 Plus. I still remember my first printer from 1994 . They were very big and noisy, and about noisy,HP was the most noisy and unreliable printer on the planet but with accesible price. When HP started leading the printer market was when introduced the multifunction or all in one printer, everyone wants to have one, special those offices with front desk so customers have to see the multifunction in acción. Yes and yes, HP became Silent and quite that whoever owns one have to verify from time to times that it was printing. Now look 🥳🥳🥳 today is July 30 of 2023 and I’m still using OfficeJet Pro 8600 plus, many people will see as a dinosaur 🦕 but for me it’s full functional in every way and I keep it, thanks because HP never cut corners, instead fight hard to became the best of the best. Than HP team

Worst Printer I have Ever Used. Literally, I have never even one time gotten this stupid printer to work with this app ever on the first try. Not once! The print anywhere doesn’t work if the worthless printer is not designed well enough to stay connected to the wifi. So then right before I filled this out I spent 30 minutes trying to get my printer to print and so I then come into the app and print my pdf from there and set my phone down hoping if I leave it to work for 10-20 minutes the signal might just go through. So 3 minutes into that my phone lights up and asks for a review of the app and I click on one star hit submit and instantly my print started to make noise. Now call that what you will but HP if you read this. It is not a good strategy to get people to leave reviews by not printing there stuff out until they do. I’d give negative stars if I could absolutely worthless company.

Stay away. Do not recommend!. Almost on a daily basis my printer completely stops working for whatever device I have an app on (including an hp laptop). I shouldn’t have to reset my router every print job. When it stops working on my laptop, usually after one print job, I switch to my phone. But as of now it will not connect to either. I’ve done all sorts of troubleshooting, which is all the app allows you to do, it doesn’t even connect to chat assistance. I’ve been working on my printer for the last HOUR and probably wouldn’t quit but I have to leave for work. The app on my laptop only lets me print quantities of 1 and it can be so frustrating to have to click through all my files to get to the one I’m printing every single time. (I’m a preschool teacher). I got this printer bc of my budget but I thought it was going to help me more than it has. It’s past return date or else I’d return it.

APP to the Rescue!. I have a 2year old $400 HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M277dw that suffered a hardware failure (nothing that I did) and now the display screen is blank. I spoke with HP customer service who diagnosed this problem and said that there was nothing they could do and I’d have to buy a new machine. WHAT?! They only warranty their products for 1 year and the extra coverage that I had purchased through Staples expired just days before this happened. NOT HAPPY... I had a $400 machine that was essentially a paper weight. With this APP, I have regained some control of my machine since I can no longer use the touchscreen on the actual printer. (Btw, HP did not suggest the APP as an alternative control, I found the APP by talking to a friend.) I have given only 4stars, because although the APP works great, I’m disappointed in HP and their product and the APP does not control ALL of the functions of my All-in-one.

Extortion!!!. First of all, the App is entirely too busy and needlessly complicated when every picture or document on your phone has the ability to be printed from its original application. Then, you can scan documents if you have iPhone “Notes” without having to go the app. Besides, HP still stores the information you scan. Furthermore...I used the instant Ink program and got my first one in the mail. Somehow a glitch in that particular cartridge made me call support because I couldn’t use it with my printer. After an hour and a half, resetting my printer and uploading new software to the printer, I couldn’t get my printer working. It’s extortion when you can’t use the printer you purchased with the ink you purchased and you’re forced to spend more money to get it to work. I bought all I needed and I’ll never go back to HP, of that ridiculous application. Oh, and don’t get me started on outsourced customers service. Nothing better than being frustrated and having to speak to someone who is incredibly hard to understand.

Life saver!. This app is fantastic! It’s been a life saver for our business many times. I am able to scan documents and send them via PDF whenever I’m in need of scanning papers/files, I am able to continue working and sending important emails even when I’m no where near my printer. I love this app so much and I definitely recommend for the scanning feature. Another awesome feature I recently discover is that you can print documents being far away from your printer (far away, as in I’ve tried 10 miles away and it worked) So , there’s isn’t a single negative thing I’ve got to say about this app, if you have an HP printer you will definitely love this app!

This printer lives up to my ‘printer dreams’!. This HP Tango printer is legit. I was attracted to it’s uniquely small footprint and aesthetically pleasing profile, but it also really performs. I have also signed up for the online ink replacement, and it’s great. When you receive new ink (which is sent automatically when your ink is getting low, all through internet) it comes with a prepaid return envelope to send back used cartridges for recycling. I’m not super “tech-y” and I can print from my laptop and smartphone. I’ve also scanned images with my phone to print. This little gem lives up to its small and attractive package, totally worth the higher cost, for a printer; of which I’ve had many crap, lower cost and disappointing models.

Ok! But Still Needs Improvements!. I would love to give better ratings, however, there are options(features) missing. For instance, the ability to control the fonts and text sizes of letters, pictures, etc. coming from the printer before you print. This is a “MAJOR” problem for me, unless I have missed. Another issue is that although, I tend to leave my printer on most of the time, it will not register, hence would need to be turned off and back on. This is ridiculous, so these are some of the issues I have with this particular printer. My other printer didn’t have this issue. So my suggestion is to please fix. Also, more in-depth detailed instructions should be made readily available in the app. Outside of these, I love being able to print from anywhere

WOW. I was just commenting to my husband about the ease of setup for this Envy printer by HP. Just plug it in, choose language and country, download app suggested on my phone and the directions are so easy, It basically does it all by itself. In no time it was working off any device. Also the print quality is excellent!! Absolutely clear, in sync and good color depth. I am very impressed since my last printer like this with all my needed bells and whistles required hard wire set up before wireless, driver installation by me and multiple pages of printing calibration. Just a note on the price: $30 trade in on an older printer trade in and $100 sale off original price as well. Less than $150 for printer and 2 new ink cartridges, for after the demo ink runs dry!! Thank you!

Simple and Easy To Use But.... I needed to scan and email some documents and the app was nearly perfect in helping me succeed however I made the error of adding too many documents to one pdf. You would think a simple fix would be found within the app, however, once you scan a document and save a file as a pdf you can not separate the images. They are saved as one slide show and you would have to go back and rescan each item and save each item as a downsized image that way. If one could simply edit the saved pdf after within the app after a save, I would rate this 5 stars but it inconvenienced me snd caused me to have to use an external source to achieve my goal. Emailers be mindful and check your Pdf sizes before considering yourself safe to save all those scanned documents and go about your business with this easy to use and confuse app.

Stupid HP. This printer and HP smart is the most frustrating device and program devised by people to date. It has a mind of its own and when you try to troubleshoot with HP Smart it doesn’t help at all. For example, trying to do a chemistry class and I needed to print some tables off for reference. I have previously printed items with no problem. Try to print today, says my printer is offline. Well, how do I get it back online? I go to the HP Dumb for assistance and it tells me to go to a menu and select to put the printer online. Well, when I go to the menu the only option is to use the printer offline. So I click that since it’s the only option and what happens? Nothing. New drivers downloaded, still nothing. I recommend against all HP printer, devices, programs. Why keep coming out with new crap when you haven’t even figured out how to make sure the old stuff works? Here’s a hint HP, make your stuff work. Never buying anything associated with HP again.

A printer is only as good as the permissions it allows. It is with extreme disappointment that I have found that my new HP Laser MFP M 283 cdw does not allow scanning and printing either from my laptop or phone with signing up for a HP Account. Currently I’m the only household member who can print and scan from this app although not from my laptop without signing up. So as a work around I use my iPhone to scan docs. Not sure how I was able to get around the sign up requirement? Other household members who’ve downloaded the cell phone app can’t use it. They don’t have an HP account and frankly why should they have to??? Should specify this when purchased. Is this legal? HP NEEDS TO FIX THIS SO THAT ALL USERS HAVE ACCESS TO USE THE-FUNCTIONS THAT THIS PRINTER IS SUPPOSED TO PROVIDE!

Sooo Happy!. Printer arrived within couple days of ordering but I hadn’t brought myself to opening box and setting up until now ( 1.5 weeks later). But I have to say it only took me about 30 min to set up and I’m one of the least tech-y people on earth (seriously, I had to google what an IP address is and where do I find it on my device). But once I got that info, the set up was a breeze most of those 30 mins was spent setting up account with HP so I can get ink sent automatically to my home. I redeemed a $20 gift card for ink that came included with my printer, plus at set up they had promo of 4 months free ink (up to 700 prints per month)!…I have already started printing photos of my kids and so far the print quality is good and printer is performing like expected!

HP Smart app is anything but. Bought the HP Office Jet Pro 9015e two months ago and still can only get minimal use out of it. The printer itself seems to be excellent, but greatly hindered because the HP Smart app does not interface at all well with my MacBook Air. I have no problem with other printers, but there’s no obvious way to download a print driver for the jet pro and print directly from my outlook apps (email, word, etc). HP forces you to print from the Smart App which is time-consuming and unnecessary. The “Smart” app has yet to recognize/list my printer (I had to enter an IP address). It says my printer is offline (not). My guess is HP wants you to use their Smart App because it connects and counts page use for automated sales of their toner carriages. Sounds great in principle, but it makes for terrible customer experience. Complicated, frustrating and very inefficient. Bottom line: look elsewhere if you’re using a current Mac.

PROBLEMS. First of all, whenever I print from my iPhone X, the print always comes out zoomed in and part of the document is cut off. There is no "scale down" or "zoom out" feature in the app. Secondly, even though I'm always printing in black and white, the color cartridge always runs out first and runs out fast. This is the third time in only a few weeks that I need to go to the store to purchase more cartridges. The problem with that is 1) I'm using the EXTRA LARGE cartridges. 2) I'm not even printing that many documents. It's not like I'm constantly printing. I also noticed that it doesn't allow me to select which specific pages I want to print. This results in printed sheets then a blank sheet then a printed sheet then a blank sheet. What a waste!!

HP Quality isn’t what it use to be!. HP has gone down hill. I spend a ton of cash buying their brand computers & all in one printers & they NEVER hold up anymore. Computer was bought brand new at same time & recently the hard drive failed. & it barely got used. This printer is crap & this app isn’t any better. Why can I not print multiple pics on one page?! Back in the day they had that feature. I will NEVER buy anything HP brand from here on out! this printer has too many issues & it’s not but a few years old. Nothing they make is made to last; like it was in the past. I have always been a huge #1 fan, not anymore. HP was the only brand I’ve ever bought. That ends now! & ink should never be as expensive as HP demands. For now on out; if companies want my business they will have to earn it by making quality products & I will never buy anything else with such a short warranty. If you believe in your products then you will stand behind them.

Very slow and worst UI and Poor Helpdesk. The app seems to be cross platform app which runs in Inappbrowser and seems to be wrapped up using cross platform app tools like phonegap. It doesn’t seem to be a native iOS mobile app is it runs slow and loader keeps on running for while everytime you change the screen. I just bought a officejet 5222 and it came with a 4 month trail, but its only giving me 1 and when I looked for support guy name SWAPNIL from their support just gave me the toll free number and ended the session. Worst ever experience of lifetime. I didn’t expected this treatment from such a company with big name in market. Very disappointed and just because of this reason, it temps me now to return back the printer.

Five Star Fax. I had a important document to send to IRS regarding a stimulus check going to a closed bank account. I tried 3 different apps on the IOS App Store and all three offered free trials that tried to charge me when the fax was actually sent. I have a HP WiFi printer and decided to try the HP Smart App to see if it possibly sent faxes. Not only did it send faxes, it gave me a 30 day trial without trying to get money out of my pocket today. I realize people use free trials for a one time fax, however the next time they need to fax something they would remember the free trial that went so smoothly. That being said, HP is now my go to app for printing and faxing. I have used Hewlett-Packard Packard since it’s inception and love them even more if it’s possible.

Get another brand ASAP. I work in a profession where I’m on crisis call for my clients 24/7. Insta ink made a crisis for a client that much worse. I needed to print some paperwork right away so this client could get proper medical care, and bam apparently I have made the insta ink gods mad and am suspended from using my printer. So whatever, I’ll do whatever to fix it. Remember I have a client whose life depends on this paperwork. App is screwing up, the page to update payment info isn’t working, and in the midsole of a crisis HP has left all of us screwed. I forgot this thing even had a subscription because whose got enough time to worry about a printer subscription, and at 3am HP makes it so I couldn’t access what this client needs. Luckily the nurses at the hospital all talked about how much they hate HP printers too and helped me solve the crisis. Never again. Complete junk and useless. Get a real printer that doesn’t scam you into a mandatory subscription just to be used.

A lot of connection problems.... I have to turn off the printer and disconnect my WiFi every time I print because printer doesn’t show online even tho it’s connected. I never had this experience with my cannon. I paid over a 100 dollars for my printer, I expected to work at least. Support is extremely difficult to reach as they always send you in an infinite cycle of links that most of the time aren’t helpful. I really need to print my papers in a time sensitive matter but I waste 30 minutes plus getting the printer to connect. One time I spent a whole day and I really can’t keep this up. It feels like a toxic relationship when they say they will change and be good and they keep making mistakes.

Valerie experience with hp smart 2742e. The best printer so far but my last one lasted years, hp deskjet 1056. This printer came at a critical time because I needed to complete projects for work rehabilitation after my amputation. I can’t get around but with the wireless printer I can print from anywhere. Plus I can now print things from my phone. It acted up where my internet was not connecting but that was on my end. Plus I get 6 months of free ink. I’m a writer too and I like that extended courtesy by Hewlett-Packard-I guess they’re still called that. Thank you. Send me some samples of what I can use for digital printing on t shirts and other items. Decided to start a business but still setting up. God bless.

Absolute trash.. HP’s services are an absolute joke. I cannot get support on my printer because it’s out of warranty? You have to call, go on the website, call again, visit the website. You get directed in a million circles. My printer is two years old and does not print after first and second level cleaning it advises me to visit the website for support which I am unable to access since my warranty is out of date. I have to pay a monthly fee for “services” to send me new ink when I run out but I can’t even get through a cartridge without issues printing. As if 2020 hasn’t sucked enough the lack of quality in their overpriced products and run around so-called “services” are the cherry on top. Working from home is usually a breeze but since I am unable to print quality pages my job has become far more complicated. The last time I needed help with my printer their “support team” was condescending rude and provided no real solutions. thanks for nothing HP.

Buggy Software. I realize bugs don’t affect everyone, hence the good reviews by some, but this is a pretty horrendous bug. So my deskjet 2700 series I setup with no problems the first time. We switch internet service providers and it “breaks” the printer. Apparently (this makes no sense to me) the first time you setup the software is fine and guides you through all the steps. The 2nd time if it has already been setup and is switching, the setup software does NOT tell you to press the “i” button on your computer to proceed the FIRST time you are supposed to do this. It does the 2nd time, but the setup manual just says “Follow the steps HP Smart guides you through” so if you don’t recollect this step from the first time you setup the printer (when it properly walked you through “not press the “i” button when flashing) what happens is the “i” button starts flashing, possibly you realize it, possibly not while waiting for the software to “guide you”, and if you don’t hit it, instead of telling you to hit the “i” button or giving an error that says “Error: Info button not pressed” it just times out and says “An unexpected error occurred.” and asks you to try again, make sure you are within range of WiFi and connected, etc. This is simply the software team not testing their software (probably did not have the budget/hours to test properly) and then not updating and fixing this bug when reported (not enough hours/budget from Corporate).

Fantastic app for students!. As someone in college its already a lot managing online courses and being on top of everything. The last thing you want to do is stress about being able to scan/upload things on time. This app helps no matter what device I'm on to be able to get that aspect taken cared of without a problem. The reason for the minus 1 star: Usually this app works really well. But lately it's been telling me my printer needs paper when it's clearly well filled with paper for the job I need. Not only that but even after restarting it still has issues printing via the HPSmart app itself. I have to use the air print option on my iPhone in order for it to actually print something. I'm not sure what's up but I'm hoping it sorts itself out in some way. :(

Satisfied. Hello, Today I will be leaving a review for your printing services that I have had for a little over a year now. First let me start by saying I absolutely HATE the way the service is set up. If I’m behind or one day late on my bill my service is disconnected. That’s irrational. I don’t print that much to begin with so have my service discontinued is ridiculous. Secondly, I pay for the 300 of more pages to be printed & I should be able to carry over the pages I do not use for each month. Even if I don’t pay my bill I should be able to print still due to be purchasing the printer to begin with. Lastly, HP Smart advertises that i can print from anywhere. However, most of the time when I leave the printer automatically shuts off by itself or disconnects from the internet after a certain amount of time has gone by. So technically it doesn’t stay on long enough to “Print from anywhere”. Other then these few complications, I believe your service is satisfying. Yet, can use some improvements. Thank you for your time. I look forward to working with you in the near future. Sincerely, Regina Ritchey

Woe is me!. I bought an M29 for my office because the P1006 I had been using was ancient. At first, I liked it and was happy. I use a laptop and travel between three offices and home. I decided to buy three more so my use in the various places would be consistent. That is when the “wheels came off the cart.” Now, when I try to print, the computer doesn’t seem to know which printer I want. It comes up “printer offline” even though I’m plugged in with a cable. When I go into “settings” to select the printer, it still doesn’t work. I have to fiddle fiddle around for 30 minutes or more just to print one document! Scanning? Forget about it! “Scanner not available” is the usual response. I was a loyal HP customer, but I’m now convinced that each location needs a different brand printer to avoid this jaw clenching frustration! Dear HP engineers, can’t you do better than this? I wanted to be an exclusive HP user, but this is nuts! P.S. I’m not a tech guy, but neither are 90% of the rest of the world!

Disappointing. I can understand the ease of setting a device like a printer up with a phone. It’s a great idea, unfortunately it doesn’t actually work. I went through all the steps as outlined in the app when prompted ... and the process timed out. When I tried to redo it, the app said my printer was ready to go; it wasn’t and I couldn’t print anything. So I switched to my laptop, which I’d be printing with anyway. The software told me no ink was installed, because ... duh, the program on my phone hadn’t had a chance to even get that far. Anyway, the desktop app told me what was wrong, but not how to fix it. I opened a panel on the front of the printer and took care of it myself. Since then I’ve had any number of problems, from the printer not connecting to the app, to it printing test sheets for no reason, to it printing the same page multiple times despite my having set copies to “1” and clearing the job list. Long story short, this app would be great if it worked, but it doesn’t, and while I can get my printer to work (sort of), it doesn’t work very well...

Worst experience ever. I’ve probably owned HP printers for 25 years, but the hp4155 is horrible to use. In fact I’ve come very close to simply throwing this new printer in the garbage and buying a different brand. HP wants everything controlled by their app, which is infuriating! I could not “create an account” to use the hp smart app; I kept being told that I already had an account, probably because I registered one of my old HP printers with the manufacturer. This of course meant that I could not qualify for the ink promotion which was the basis for purchasing this printer in the first place. Most frustrating is that there is no way to wake the printer from power saving mode other than going to the room with the printer and unplugging it and then plugging it in again. HP how about letting the power button actually be a power button? The printer doesn’t have basic controls on its panel other than color or b/w copying. It can’t print two sided! Wow, a printer company more interested in counting pages than showing a commitment to the environment. That’s a stunningly poor marketing decision in the 21st century! I could go on. Poor product, poor marketing, poor customer orientation.

What a horrible user experience!. First, if one is using an iOS device, they do not need this app to print docs (thank goodness!). This app is simply put, a money grab by HP to push their awful monthly plan on customers who already purchased their printers. They do NOT accurately describe monthly plans (there are none starting as low as $.99). But let’s get back to what the app should do but doesn’t... how about giving the user the ability to check ink levels??? Nope. How about a quick easy link to the HP store to order replacement ink cartridges? Nope. When hitting the link I’m presented with the wrong printer model and mine isn’t anywhere on the store’s site. Then the ink cartilages do nothing to provide useful information (such as what color cartridges are included). Instead it’s just a pitch about the great quality of HP ink. Guess what? I’m now more determined to find alternative ink solutions other than HP. This reminded me why I didn’t bother a printer for so many years.

Horrible setup App. Setup of a new HP printer using this app was a nightmare. It seems it’s impossible to make the printer work without it so there’s no choice but to try and try again until it works. Specifically, I elected to set up using a Mac laptop instead of a mobile device. The app repeatedly failed to “find” the printer. Bluetooth was working on laptop and printer. I connected the printer to WIFI and that didn’t help. Eventually turned it off and started following instructions from instructions printed out by the printer from deep in the cryptic settings—the instructions provided with the printer offered no clue what was wrong. At one point it required me to tap Okay on the printer control screen but before I could do so (within about 10 seconds) the printer control screen reverted to its Home Screen. After 2 hours I finally got it to work. Additionally, to be able to print from a mobile device HP requires you to agree to use only HP ink—totally outrageous!! Failing Grade!!

Amazingly Easy Software!. My wife had over 150 pages of paper family ancestry documents. It reflects comprehensive research spanning a decade. Meeting many 1st cousins we didn’t even know a year ago we decided to make copies! I have the HP Mobile 250 printer. Bought it several years ago. Rather than spend hours making copies, I decided to scan them thinking it would take me hours. This software scanned the documents in about 25 minutes including staple removal!! Holy Moly!! Amazing stuff! Amazing Software! AND it automatically recognized images AND SLOED DOWN, incredible HP! By the way, I oversaw over 500 HP printers as a Director of technology for 20 years. One of the things we could always count on beyond the printers was the HP software interface.

Clunky. It works but initial printer setup was painful and slow. App menus pretended to go to another menu but sat on existing menu with title changed. Rebooted printer and app and things worked better. No back option when going to send a link to someone else. Option to change auto off timing but is preset? Still shows greyed drop down. This is somewhat outside of the app but when ordering ink the app opens a browser. It does automatically send the printer model but the site doesn’t actually show ink for your printer. It seems to try and then gives up, showing the generic options like you didn’t search at all. For our printer if it auto shuts off there is no printing to it until someone gets up and turns it on again. Probably more a printer feature issue but app could have wake up in it. PCs have had the option for over 2 decades.

I’m LIVID!. Clearly, they make their money by selling ink, so they want the printer connected to every device, web service and potential user imaginable. That capability is great, but if you unknowingly check a box that gives them the right, you’ll come into your room/office (like I did) to find a PRINTED notice that my FIRMWARE had received and installed an update while I was away. You HAVE MY EMAIL ADDRESS! You have access to my phone AND Mac apps, but I need a color page with about 300 words telling me that a firmware update occurred? Well OF COURSE THEY THINK I DO... just waste away my ink AND paper notifying me of something that 52 million other apps/devices/operating systems do JUST FINE WITHOUT USING PAPER AND INK! Ugh. So now I’ve shut off virtually EVERY ASPECT of this printer’s connectivity, because I STILL don’t feel comfortable that I actually know where or what I checked giving them the right to print things on my printer while I’m not even there... OR AM THERE and have the misfortune of leaving paper in the machine!

Love this app & printer. This app never has failed me yet and Is pretty easy to use ( USER FRIENDLY) printer works well with this app too, including using WiFi from your mobile device (mine iPhones 8) and sending whatever you need copied to your printer from your phone! Only one complaint I have and that’s with the printer screen being so darn small making it really hard to read and difficult to navigate on the push screen. My previous printer had a nice large screen and guess it spoiled me! But this app and the printer has always worked flawlessly so can’t complain too much! Make the printer screen larger and you got the perfect printer and app combo! Still I give it 5 stars as it is!

Very disappointing. All this app has is 100 ways to advertise the instant ink option. Cant change any setting that u would want to change. The entire app is just ads. Like each link has the same elaborate explanation of this auto send ink supply program. So once u bought printer- thats it, no options for customizing how printer works, cuz its ALL about telling u u need ink & trying to get u to buy more ink, next page BUY MORE INK, & B U Y M O R E I N K! 15-20 years ago using the old disc drivers that came w/printers u could do a ton of different changes to how ur printer works. Good luck changing a setting with this app. Its absolutely a waste of mb’s Every time the printer is turned on it automatically prints set up pages, that u dont need & didnt ask for (cuz if uneeded them u just press button) - so last time I turned on my hp printer to print out 3 pages, it printed out (unwanted) set uppages, & then I tried to print the pages I actually NEEDED & I got the printer out of ink error.. couldnt fricken believe it, SPECIALLY because the stupid setup instructions were printer perfectly dark type, no faded text, no light shades- it just went from perfect printouts (of pages I didnt ask it to print) to out of ink COMPLETELY (for pages I desperately needed printed. Shame on HP. And the rest of these companies that dont care u spent money buying theier products- cuz they are too busy cramming the next item they made to waste ur time & trick uout of ur money..

Accidentally found this app. I have been looking for an app that scans and emails, straightens out scans, etc. After reading reviews, downloading a few and trying them, and so on, which by the way, was disappointing because most of them have subscriptions. I will not pay for any subscriptions for a scanning app. If I found one that was good enough I wouldn’t have minded paying for the app but not a subscription. However, Apple does not allow you try apps like I was able to with a past phone I owned. I have an HP printer and when this one popped up while I was doing another search I was pleasantly surprised after downloading it and giving it a try. If you have an HP printer give this a shot. I don’t believe you will be disappointed.

New Beginnings. I am so happy with my new printer especially after being able to it set up and print my first page today. We are all emotionally mentally and physically going through a hard time in our lives with the Coronavirus pandemic and it can be very overwhelming and hard to concentrate which has been my situation. This is the first step towards me becoming a small business owner, a side gig until I am back at work and when I am blessed to retire early in the next 4-5 years this will be my full time gig. Starting out with a small budget the cost of this printer did not set me back financially and for that I am appreciative. Going forward I will not take “time” for granted. Everyone reading this review no matter what your faith let’s keep pushing.

Cartridge Hostage Crisis. I have had my HP7850 for about 1.5 years. In that time I have printed a small number of documents. Some for school and some personal. I am on my third set of cartridges due to printer not working properly. The tech support had me run several cleaning cycles to get it online the first time. It wasted all my ink on cling on a new printer. After that I could not even print black and white because the color cartridge was out of ink. I’m on my fourth set of cartridges, and have barely printed anything. And there is a problem with the color cartridge. If I print quickly after reinstalling, then it prints. If I wait a couple minutes the printer reports an error with the cartridge on the printer and my phone app says the color is out. Obviously it is not out. This is due to the computer chips on the ink so HP can hold you hostage and rake in money selling you cartridges that cost them pennies to produce. Give me a printer from 10 years ago. I did not have these issues. The technology hasn’t changed much mechanical for a long time. It’s all in the software.

3 for setup 5 for function. The setup was a bit of a pain and at times confusing in regards to the wifi requirements. I realize that it could’ve been entirely due to me, but keeping that in mind I do think the app’s user interface should be considered despite experience level. I am no expert, but also not a novice. That’s my very minor complaint and it doesn’t affect its rating so far. It’s been great for remotely scanning documents from the printer to my phone, printing, and even allows for some readjustment for size. That’s been a great feature when I’ve used it for art projects. I would love to see more customization for sizing, positioning, and preview, but I haven’t fully toyed with the app yet and it may be there. If not, that would be a request and still doesn’t take away from the 5 stars.

I Just LOVE Draining Resources. While I do enjoy the usage of a printer to make my digital art physical, HP’s app and printer poses a big terrible problem and that is tests. Constant tests that are inconvenient and drain your resources. Paper and ink are not cheap and whenever you do any changes to your printer, it doesn’t trust you enough to know how to work it and must perform a test every time you change the ink. That would be fine if every now and then it printed a page, but it wants to print a test page, then have you put that page in the scanner, and print a copy. This is extremely wasteful and annoying if you’re like me and forget about your precious expensive sticker paper you have in there. It does it automatically and you are not allowed to opt out of it. A ton of money and resource wasted because HP doesn’t trust me to know how to change an ink cartridge.

So Far So Good. This is my first new printer in 10 years. The ability to send things to my printer from my cell phone or computer no matter where I am is great, I guess I’ve been missing that. Customer service was fantastic helping me connect my printer to the internet. There were connection issues and the representative didn’t give up until I was all set. Instant ink as long as it stays at the discount rate after my free trial is up will be extremely helpful. I hate going to the office supply store for ink. It’s always in the middle of printing that my ink runs out. With my new printer I also received a two year warranty instead of the usual one year. I paid less than $100 for the printer scanner copier. So far so good

I hate this app. I find this app annoying and only complicates the printing process. It takes forever for the app to recognize my printer’s WiFi connection, even when doing back to back printing jobs. What is the difficulty when I literally just printed something not even 30 seconds ago?? Also selecting specific pages from the pdf is inconvenient bc you can’t select them until the printer is recognized which requires you to open, close and reopen the file multiple times. Then you have to select the pages from tiny little thumbnails where you can’t even see what’s written on the page. Overall not very well designed. I miss the old days when HP didn’t invade your privacy and require you to upload all your docs into their system before you can print. They would be so much more efficient if they weren’t trying to sell your personal info.

AMAZING. When I say this printer is everything for me it’s so easy so functional so friendly, there’s no software you have to download except for the app, and the app communicates flawlessly with the printer, they have already sent my refill ink I’m just ready to get rid of my Brother printer already. Great for the free printables they provide for kids, I think I’m in love and would recommend this printer to anyone who wasn’t technology savvy or who was technology savvy. It’s overall people friendly. I loved my Brother printer but the ink doesn’t last, it came with a disc and it was tough to do things from your phone at times , and to connect it to WiFi. Again not bad but this one was just better and easier.

Connection to HP Printer & Department Failure. I have had a continuous non-compliance connection between HP and my Printer. Apparently the continuous calling, on-line support and contacting my provider as directed has not resolved this issue. I am not a fan of a Company taking control of my Device but, was assured it would resolve the issue... NOT!!! HP tried access on 3 different occasions and still no connection. My internet provider tried to assist but, was directed back to HP. So here I am over 2 years in subscription and do not have the full capability of HP services. I have the ink cartridges from day one of purchasing printer. My cartridges are low but, how will HP know this. I like HP products & enjoy the App. 2 stars is what I can give, due to the years of unresolved issues.

The coolest printer and plans ever. This the best printing job I’ve ever received . $6 isn’t bad for 100 or 110 prints ! You know would be paying more at the library or office store. I love all the little bundle printables that comes with the App and purchase. I’m a small business owner and I have gotten pretty good advice just from using the app printables. I just love all the surprises you get inside your purchase. The plans are not asking a whole lot either for prints each month. It’s a solid plan and if you don’t use all your prints , it will rollover to the next month up to 150 prints ! If you go over your print limit, it’s $1 for every 10 pages! Not bad at all. I love it ! The photo prints are free and I’m not sure up to how much but so far I have 10 photos. I’m really glad to be apart of the HP service plan.

Printer Good Instant Ink BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD. Total scam!!! Went through 3 printers in 6 months (all HP with Instant Ink). Ended up being charged for all three for several months! The final printer would not complete set up on instant Inc., and after two hours on the phone with HP support we got nowhere. This is when we found out we were being charged for multiple printers that we didn’t even have anymore. that after we had gone through all the steps to remove those printers and cancel, and re-open a new instant Ink account on the newest one each time. So, we cancelled all the accounts only to find out that the cartridges we had already paid for over months, would no longer work! Now, we’ve paid for services and have basically gotten NOTHING in return. I will NEVER buy another HP of any sort again. Ripped me off by $150 in membership for printing and cartridges that are as good as garbage. There’s NO Way I’m sending them back for a scam on someone else.

Nice printer. So far so good. I pick this printer because I needed one and having a hard time trying to find them online or in the store. I also wanted to try Insta ink. I dread going to the store purchasing ink so knowing it will be shipped based on usage is a win win for me. Very easy set up to get printing, easy registration for Insta ink. I like that it doesn’t have a lot of buttons pretty much a clean printer. I want to use for printing on iron on transfer and other various craft projects. I will see how it does for photos as that is important. The scan process was beautiful but I was a little confused at first how to work it but figured it out. When I was searching for printers I didn’t even look at the details for this one, glad I chose it. I will try to remember to edit after I print photos to review.
