Great app but.... Just about the best app in the app store a little pricey when i bought it at $2.99 for the lack of variety. When I first got it, it had 1 game mode that was pretty difficult but now the reckless mode is fun and great which evened it to about worth $1.99 but still I think that it should have more game modes like survival and mini games. The gameplay is top notch and great graphics but if you are going to be serious about this game you need the button controls. Overall this game should be worth $1.99 and if it had mini games and a survival mode it would be worth $2.99.

Hilarious!. This is an older game, but I love the physics and the crashes. The extra purchasable content is well worth it too.

Childhood Game. This game was a part of my childhood. I played this game so much when we were traveling, idling, or just did not have WiFi. I beat every level with the maximum amount of stars I could get then I would delete it to redo my progress. I loved the levels with different cars. I love this game, and I'm glad it could be part of my childhood.

Update PLEAAAASE. I used to love playing this game on my old iPhone. When i stumbled upon it again i didn't hesitate to buy it again. Only thing is im on an iPhone X S Max now and not a 6. So the resolution of the game is poor and its not optimized for the newer phones. Please update it!!!

Fun. Great game but please add being the cop and chasing the bad guys.

Destruction. Dis game is awesome

A robbery is in progress.... The thing that makes this game so particularly amazing is that if it came out with the gameplay it has with it's basic dynamics let's say around the time of Donkey Kong or thereabouts it would be in the pantheon of great arcade games. It is always the gameplay that is the hardest thing to make great and there is no way to fake it or dress it up - it is always what separates the greats from the wannabes. Now, add to that the developers who did Reckless Racing and you have great controls and fun engaging visuals as well; the whole package. But as great and imaginative as the different scenes are and the realism that comes with it, it all comes back to the gameplay. Reckless Getaway will prove to be a classic. And the difficulty levels as far as accomplishing things seems almost perfect which is another thing great games have in common. More levels and more vehicles is not a criticism but a desire - when something is so good you always want more.

A lot of fun. Great graphics, well balanced controls and just difficult to make it challenging without sucking the fun out of it. It took a couple of tries to figure out the controls and then it became second nature. With the power ups and multiple paths down a track, hours of fun can be had with this game. The only thing that could make this better would be more vehicles and more tracks. But that's not a bad thing to want from a game.

Crashing. It’s a really fun game to play but here recently it keeps crashing when I try to boot it up.

Best game ever. I beat this game in a day. I know, I did play it for a while, but now what????? I agree with brownskittle77. It needs an extra mode(s) that allow endless gaming experience. I would like to see many more levels, unlockable vehicles, and/or free roam mode. This would be a virtual city with cars, and police roaming around. Then, we come in, and take out everything in sight. I have been showing my friends, but they herd how quickly i beat it, and don't want it. Add these things (preferably the free roam) or else I will steadily decrease my rating of 5 stars until it reaches 1. Its a great game, just way too small.

Make another one. But not like Getaway 2 do a sequel similar to the original please!

Good game. This game was my early childhood and gives me memories of when I was very young I still enjoy it as much as I used to it’s great with not so good graphics but it’s still awesome and with good gameplay and creative power ups

Love it. I’ve been playing this off and on for years. I wish they’d make some new levels. I’ve reduced my rating because the last update has made the buttons really small on iPad and nearly impossible to play

Worst game on app store!!!!. That's it I've had it, not only will the game lag uncontrollably, cause you to lose around 1500 or 2500 points (much needed to unlock chapter) but NOW it won't even load the map without some sort of issue. This app is useless, worthless, piece of junk ever made. Look at all the other people that said the same thing and still no update. Knock knock, anyone home? Guess we have to make the update!! I told my friends the day I got it that this was the best game even though it lagged and now I told them not to get it! I'd rather waste my .99 cents at a dollar store and get plastic forks, but the only difference, the forks actually work. I know you don't want to listen to me rant on about this so long story short, worst app to ever have been made and is completely useless and the biggest waste of money that I could have used to get forks but instead get a poorly made, lousy constructed game in which you can't move, dodge or unlock new chapters because when you think you are doing ok letting the game work out the glitch....BAM!! Face full of semi. Don't get. Or!!!!!! Fix this stupid game!!!! Shzzzzz, :& (vomit on game)

Lots of fun but. It's a very fun game but needs a few improvements. The lag is the biggest problem. Please fix that! If there were a different type of scoring system where you don't have to memorize the perfect route to get all 4 stars then it would be much better. Also if you added to the options a way to change the camera view so you could see the car crashes behind you that would be cool. Also maybe add a 'shop' where you could buy different cars. They don't necessarily need to be better in stats or whatever but just different colors and looks. But please don't ruin the app by adding things you can buy with real life money! Other than those few concerns you guys did great.

My favorite childhood game. I have played this game for a long time now and it never gets old. It is such a good game and the developers don’t ruin it by updating the game by making it new again. There is nothing wrong with this game or any bugs as far as I know. I have seen the trailer for the second game and I said to myself, no I won’t download this because I know that the first game would still be better. No matter how good it is because it can not beat the classic version. This is my childhood game and I will never grow bored of it and I would recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of action and racing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great game - if I could still play it! Since update crashes on load. This game is great and very addicting. I played through until I got all the stars on every level so I was excited to see an update that said it added a game mode. Even after rebooting my iPad multiple times the update just crashes on load. I hope there is a fix soon. Still 5 stars because I got a lot of good play time, but please fix the update.

Underrated. I remembered this game from my childhood, and decided to look it up. I’m shocked that it only has 125 reviews. So, anyone who’s reading this, spread the word about this game!

Time killing machine!. Great game, loads of time killing fun BUT alot of that is in having to replay the level because power ups or coins come out of NOWHERE and you gotta restart level to go back and get power ups/stars...maybe a small compass map at top of screen (iPhone maybe too small for that) or a little hint bar that pops up and says HEY, THERE'S SOME COOL STUFF TO THE LEFT...MOVE LEFT IF YOU WANT TO BE COOL!!!!!!! Still a fun game that's got some difficulty and loads of replay value, unlike so many games that you beat in 20 min wondering why God, why did I buy that!!!! Anywho, thanks for a very cool game, kept my brain and A.D.D. occupied as I recovered from surgery!

awsome game but needs some more work.. this game is insane and i mean it in a good way, but please add a FULL steering wheel and definitely brakes and accelerometer, kind of like parking mania controls. graphics are one of the best so don't change anything. sometimes i don't want to crash to the walls but i don't have breakes to do that which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to get three or four stars. if I receive this update, I'm willing to pay at least $3 bucks for it, but it's got to be perfect. please add more options to the controls. I hope someone is reading and listening. I DEFINITELY recomment people to try this game beccause it 's worth the download.

Beating levels with four stars requires pure skill, but the game is unbelievably fun anyway. This is by far one of the best games I have ever played on iPad in terms of overall fun as well as addictiveness. Physics might not be as realistic, but destroying every single thing in your way is fabulous fun. You may get through the levels quite quickly, but getting four stars on each levels is almost impossible and will hold you for months.

Loads of Fun, great replay value. I'm not a heavy hitter gamer - I just like something fun that I can play when I want a break from work. I am always on the lookout for good driving games, and this is the best I've found so far. It's very quick to pick up and play, easy to use, and the graphics are incredible. The physics is perfect with superb vehicle response and obstacle/other vehicle interactions. This is not a serious game, which is what makes it that much more fun for me. This game hits three major markers that any really successful game should have - 1) you can pick it up, play for a few minutes, then put it down without any sense of loss or failure - it should just be a quick bit of fun, 2) it has an element of challenge without being so difficult it become frustrating, and 3) it has replay value. The third one is extremely important in the games industry because you want players coming back the game and not just giving up after a few plays because they're bored or they can't progress. I absolutely love this game, and as a developer myself, this is the kind of game I wish I had built!

So Much Fun, it's Criminal!. I dare you to play this game without laughing out loud with evil delight. One thing that keeps surprising and delighting me is actually the sound and music design! It adds immensely to the overall feel with the genre-perfect heist tunes and you get some really detailed effects from your wheels sliding across ice and dirt, to scraping crushing metal shrieks as you grind a hapless motorist against the dividing barrier. Truly excellent attention to every detail and all in service of FUN GAMEPLAY!! There is just one tiny bit of critical feedback: I find that visual feedback when collecting a power up is not a clear as I'd like. The number of times I've executed a perfectly-timed jump over an oncoming semi, only to send out a useless shock-wave and get myself Wrecked... Or boost when I was expecting to jump and so on and on...

Great game. I remember playing getaway as a child and it hasn’t changed since. It’s nostalgic and brings back good memories.

Nostalgic. I remember playing this game when I was very little, I loved it because it was chaotic and had fast cars. This game popped into my head and I downloaded it again, all those memories came flooding back.

Wicked, mayhem, fun.. The basic premise and execution of this game is fun. It's not anything great, it's nothing special... You're simply a guy who steals money and needs to make a fast getaway. The premise is indeed interesting, but the overall getaway mode is simply run of the mill, mediocre at best. So you may be wondering why I rated this 5 stars. It's all because of the other game mode. You take the wheel of a large semi truck and the object is to reach the end of the level, all while smashing and wrecking through everything in your path. The idea behind it is even simpler than the getaway game, but it skyrockets this game from being kinda, "meh," to being, "HOLY BALLS DID YOU SEE HOW FAR THAT POLICE CAR FLEW?!" It is pure, unadulterated insanity and I love every second of it. There's something about human beings and our need for wanton destruction, and the developers of this game hit the sweet spot. Definitely worth checking out!

Love this game but keeps crashing. I’m using an iPhone 12 and I get to the logo and the game sits then crashes. This is one of my favorite games but the game keeps crashing.

It's good, but......... This game is fun and is a good time killer. But, all you do is drive. There should definitely be upgrades and more levels. There should also be free play, which never ends. Although the graphics are nice, and it runs smooth on my iPad 2, the price could be bumped down to at least $0.99. I only got this app because I watched SoldierKnowsBest's review on it (although my brother also wanted the game) and after all, he DOES "Know Best!" But, not entirely this time, Soldier. So those are my reasons why this app got 4/5 stars.

Instantly crashes. It won't even stay open for .5 seconds before crashing. I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 13.5 Updated for newer devices? Nope. Please fix.

Fun stuff. Great game. Really enjoyed it. Two gripes: 1- it becomes pretty difficult to unlock all the levels (at least for me.). So I probably won't continue to play it because it gets frustrating playing the same levels over and over. 2 - while the controls are very good and very smooth, sometimes the left or right turn flakes out and seems to get stuck on me which usually ends up in a crash. I would love this game if they fixed that glitch and allow you to progress more easily.

Best Game From Childhood to Now. This game used to be free on the Google play store and that’s how I got it on my tablet when I was six. Now years later this game still has a special place on my heart. The physics could be a bit wanky but if you’re like me, you’ll get carried away by the explosions, crashes, and amazing scenery.

Great game. I started playing back in 2011 and I was only like 6, now I’m 13 and can even still remember the end scene. This was a great game throughout all those years, thanks for making my childhood.

Great Smashin' Fun. Beautiful graphics on the Retina display; nearly as good on the iPad. This game has occupied me for hours. Simple controls allow you to move left and right along your getaway route with the cops in tow. Score points by smashing cars (cops and anyone else on the road) and obstacles. Collect coins to increase your score, and look for power-ups that allow you to do more damage. I've been re-playing runs to get maximum four stars, and to beat high scores on Game Center. Very addictive!

Amazing wish levels were unlocked. This is the best game on my iPod I played it all morning but I wish all levels were already unlocked and that the point of the game was to destroy stuff and not just collect coins. Would have been five stars if you guys just change that and I'm using a 2nd gen device so in the middle of every single level it slows down and gets really choppy change that and you will get a five star review from me

Fast Getaway. Out of all the ipad games I have, I think this one has the legs to last as long as the machine does. You know how it is...you see Q-bert and you're like, "Oh hell yeah, I could spend a few bucks on Q-bert." and then two months later and you're already in yawnsville. Fast getaway is a ball, plain and simple, and simple too. It's even perfect for my six year old daughter, easy enough to play that she can drive around and crash into stuff. For me, it's all about collecting coins and taking the big jumps. Good cartooning, really creative tracks. Five stars. Oh, and the constant stream of greenbacks flying out of the car is hilarious. No wonder the cops seem to always know where I am.

Love the game. I found in comparison that this version is better than Gettway 2. It’s just a better feel in the way it runs. It’s not only fun but it’s also funny how you can knock cars off the road and try to gettway from the cop cars to get more points along the way. It like to see more added courses for this version with more goals. Great job on this game.

Average. you may disagree, but i think this game was dissapointing. everyone said it would be awesome, but honestly, its not. the game is too hard, and you lose too easily in rediculous ways that will just make you angry. it is a fast paced action game, but its too fast so you cant explore the worlds properly. the game is also too short and needs multiplayer. otherwise this game is pretty fun, can get pretty addicting, and is a good time killer. my main concern is that its a bit overpriced, should be more like $1 add more maps, multiplayer and other stuff too and it will be 5 star worthy!

Getaway. My sons and I are having a great time playing this game and unlocking the various levels. A thoroughly enjoyable game. A tip for those new comers, try and knock off the semi trailers for big points. Regards to All from Hagrid and sons.

Just truly outstanding!. I don't know why some people are saying this is a bad game, because this game is truly outstanding. I've spent over 10 hours playing it and still haven't gotten bored! Only problem is it's really difficult to get 4 stars on some of the levels. But overall, it's a great game to play when you've got nothing better to do and is totally worth your $0.99! :)

What’s with all the good reviews?!. This is a massive step back from Reckless Racing 2 and 3. What happened? It’s fun for maybe 5 minutes. Then the RNG kicks in. It only that, but one car? That’s it? Oh I forgot. Jungle racing. But we have to pay to unlock that, on top of the cost of the app itself? What happened to you PB?

Multi. Love this game, big fan. Could do with multiplayer, 1 person can be the getaway and the other can be the cops. Give this game 5 stars and u rock!

Almost. Im a 3GS user. For those whingingabout the graphics: this isnt a sim, its a very artcade style game and the graphics reflect that. The textures are smooth and colourfull with an almost cartoony feel to them, which suits this game to a T. The physics are great and i love the way it feels when the car is drifting under power boost as an example. Sound sample are spot on, well done on that front. BUT: The gameplay leaves much to be desired. The whole game is based on the collecting coins (to grow stars) to progress. The score you accumulate in no way seems to effect how many stars you get. Therefore taking away the great driving feel of the game, as you have to follow a set route to collect coins instead of happily blowing up cops and dodging traffic for bounses. Dont collect enough coins? Dont get stars. Dont get stars? your left annoyingly replaying levels until you can get enough. Ive stopped playing after i couldnt get past the second page of levels. All the elements are there, but (for me at least) the fun is removed by the difficulty in momorising where the coins are on each level.

It's more than you pay for.. For only a dollar it's definitely worth having since it's simple but very entertaining, and extremely addictive. +slick graphics +simple pickup and play nature +heaps of levels and plus a reckless mode. +and as I said before it's only a buck.

Once was one of my favourites, but since the update.... This was a great game until recently, when they did the update. Why do update chapters that you gotta pay to play in a game one already has installed? There are already waaaay too many games out there that you have to pay and pay to make any progress within them. So disappointing that one of my favourite car games has sunk to the level of so many of the other money grubbers out there. Deleting as soon as I finish this review.

More cars. Implement a system that you can buy cars with the coins you collect and abit of customization. That would be perfect. I hope future updates will add more levels.

One of my favorite app on my iPod. I love this game because its simple and(yes you've seen this a lot but) easy but hard to master but I would like there to be maybe a sequel? (you Guys should have made heaps of money from this app! Adrenaline. This game is awesome in so many areas it has explosions, cops, a range of different vehicles and it's challenging at the same time. I totally recommend this game to people who like destroying things. AWESOME!!!

When ever I am bored a always go strait to this game it's always there for me and it is so much fun that time slips away like a blink of an eye so if you are reading these comments and don't have this game go get it strait away because if it is always there for me then it will always be there for you!

Linear Burnout style racing. Title. I'm getting lazy with reviews but anyway, if you like burnout and won't mind driving in one direction with "unrealistic" physics where most the cars feel very light weight, then buy this. Jumps, stunts, side routes etc make this game fun, though the need to remember levels to obtain all stars (out of 4) does decrease first-hand experience.

And now a review from someone not paid.. Graphics are average. Very ordinary. Not sure how people could describe them as great? Biased I guess. Steering is twitchy, even when adjusted. There is an inertia option however it doesn't help. It doesn't take long for your car to run off the screen either, as it sits in the middle, but one collision pushes you off the screen. There is no brake, which isn't a huge issue, but would be a handy feature, especially given the above comment. Braking would allow you to miss some cars and stay on the screen. It's all the same on each level, so unlocking the next level isn't a real huge achievement, and the star awarding system is stupid. Swerving for coins? Is this super Mario? Also as it is landscaped, the game play is very fast and difficult to see all short cuts etc. Bottom line is it is very expensive for 16 levels of the same thing, which isn't even done very well. It's definitely not worth $2.99 sorry guys. Pretty close to deleting it.

Great. Simply an amazing game. I'm a bit of a die hard pc gamer so most people wouldn't notice these things... But the framerate seems a little low on the iPad 2, and blurring doesn't really help to hide it, perhaps it needs a little more optimization.

Fully hectic. Hey you guys, this is the business right here! Reckless Racing was good and all, but I didn't really stick with it, it took too long to learn the tracks, you feelin' me? But this, you can pick up and smash a few levels straight away. You progress easily, but it's still good times to go back and learn where the ?'s and coins are. My tip? You can still steer in the air. Boom! Realistic? No, but hey, lighten up fella, it's a game. And it's better playing this while you wait for your train to your dead end job to pay for your wife's shoe addiction, who you are sick to death of and probably married to young but it's too late to get out now because the house is in her name after you filed for bankruptcy after a failed business venture of Hannah Montana Flesh lights.

Great. Pros: good controls (easy), courses are short enough so fails are not too upsetting. Great fun Cons: can't change cars, want more variety of power ups, ability to store up or build power ups. Otherwise lots of time spent on it!!

Ok. The graphics are nice and the controls work - but it is frustrating that there is only a small portion of the track visible as at time. This makes it so you need to know ahead of time which direction you need to go in order to collect enough coins (in order to unlock the next tracks) and the only way to do that is to memorize each track - which isn't fun and is just a lazy way to force replay of levels. I really enjoyed Reckless Racing and expected better from Pixelbite.

Amazingly fun. I love that you have to drive around and dodge the police it a 3D world. I finished the game twice and had tons 'o fun. Just, I delete it and get another game due to storage. Then, once when I checked so I could download it, it was payed! Luckily I got it on the same cloud before so I can still download it for free. Apologies for the long review, but it voiced my opinion on it being payed.

Can barely play. The app only work perfectly with wifi but without it crashes immediately I don’t know why but I always play games without wifi when I’m on the go so it’s really a problem

Fun, but finicky. The controls will definitely take some time to get comfortable with, but they're simple. Left/Right or tap for whatever-boost-you-have, lots of great destruction and the wipe-outs are hilarious, but it's not as expectedly responsive as, say, a steering wheel would be, or maybe just sliding across the bottom of the screen for degrees of a turn, rather than only left/right or tilt steer.

Who needs content when it's locked up to experts. I'm no expert... But given 4-5 hours I can beat a few levels f a am like this. Polarbit has taken the lazy route and made it extremely hard to advance to see even all the LAUNCH content. Shame. Think Angry Birds would be so huge if you could never get passed level x-y? Reckless Racing and now this have proven you are not willing to really work to sustain my support. So you can enjoy this 2 star rating until I can get some 3 star ratings without divine intervention on your darn game. You reap what you sow, cheapskates.

Excellent. This is the first game I've ever reviewed so it must be really good. At first glimpse it's a level select just like angry birds, cut the rope, etc. but the gameplay was extremely different. It blew my mind. You collect coins, crash cars, cops, and also there are powering which is awesome. Great game. Cool also because it's free from the freeappaday.

Great Game!. This is a fun old school style police chase game that incorporates all the modern advancements of the iOS platform! The gameplay is reminiscent of the arcade hit, "Spy Hunter", and merges it with the visual styling of Empire Interactive's 2003 video game adaptation of the "Starsky & Hutch" tv show. For the price, you could do far worse... But I wouldn't recommend trying to do so.

Blown away. Amazing game. Great controls. Beautiful levels with great scenery changes. I downloaded this not expecting much and now I've spent my whole day playing. Would love to see an option for both turn buttons to be one one side for playing one handed. And graphics are great but retina would make it even better. Thanks

AWESOME APP!!!. At first, I didn't know if I really wanted the game and figured I would just way until the price went down to get it. But eventually I gave in to my curiosity and bought one of my new favorite games. I LOVE IT. Very simple, challenging, and a cute story line. Great graphics and animations, and sound effects are far from being bad. I became so obsessed that I played it for hours until I now have a record of 68/68 stars earned. My only suggestion now is PLEASE ADD MORE LEVELS!!! Thanks.

Good. Good game but a bit easy, actually almost all games that i played are easy, and others people say its hard. I dont want that this game were harder, i just that this game had even more levels. (i know, there is A LOT of levels, but i still want more!) the storyline is great, and the graphics are great too, with realistic explosions, buildings, skidmarks, and even fire!

It's a'ight--but a what the . The coins and  marks are almost impossible to get, unless you just happen to stumble on them. There isn't enough time to see them, and when you do, the cars are so slow that you can't veer quickly over to snatch them up. What in the world DO the do, anyway? It's ok, but it has a weird glitch: my car "floated" over an overpass, when it was supposed to go under it. Also, it seems to float around at times. It's still fun occasionally, but if you like police chases, go for Need for Speed- Hot Pursuit. It's more realistic and smoother.  Like KamikazeRace and LaneSplitter but with more action. All these fake reviews turn me off though, especially when an app such as this could make it to the top on its own merit. The integrity of the DEVS, then, convince me that I can expect my low score to quickly be followed by several fivers so to bury my review and keep the overall score five stars. .............. I was right. Almost 100 "reviews" in just a few short hours...

Lots of fun, a true must have game!. Tons of explosions packed full of action, this game never gets old. If your a fan of arcade racing games or like getting in fast paced police chases like grand theft auto, then you will love this game. I beat this game on my iPad and the iPhone, I still play it everyday, honestly it never gets old! Would love more levels, can't wait for an update or the next game.

A very good 5 minute car chase movie fix. If you're feeling like you only need to play something for one or two turns before you can be satisfied and continue your work or life, this is a good choice. This especially applies to those who like to drive fast and wish they never had to stop for cops or slower vehicles. Give it a shot.

Phenomenal Graphics/Cartoony Physics. A great game marred by poor controls and cartoony, inaccurate physics. If the developer can smooth out the controls and make the physics a little more realistic this otherwise very entertaining game would easily rate 5 stars and be worth the money. There are several physics related issues (i.e.: you can drive through or under other vehicles. These need addressing.

Recless get away. This game is awesome because you get to pretend like you are a robber and you get awesome power ups to get away from cops and it is worth 99 cents and if you think it is not fun buy it and you will have so much fun playing the game

Robbery in progress please wait.... That intro says it all ur responsible for the hardest part of a robbery, the getaway. Earn point by dodging, jumping and destroying cars, especially police cars. But there are plenty of ways to earn the required stars. An outstanding game, something u can pick up on at any time.

Good game. This game is very fun and addicting. But It only took a week to beat it needs to have another game mode like endless where you can select your own car and drive until you die or something like that. I love playing the game but there is no reason to play anymore. Needs a really good update can't wait.

Bad after update. It was a good game and very enjoyable. I paid .99$ when it came out and got allot of fun out of it. When the update came out to add more cars and tracks I thought they would be the same. Personally I felt it was a waste of another .99$. Tracks were okay, cars seemed slow, and only got about another ten minutes playing time. Almost ruined the entire game. Seemed like the producers wanted to make another dollar so they added some crap and made it look great.

Recklessly addictive. Two words come from the game developer team that created reckless racing and here's another big hit with just enough storyline to bring in the bacon....home the bacon...whatever, just try the game, the smash up coin capturing cop avoiding top down gamestyle is a treasure in itself. Maybe add so me car damage and an analog gas pedal and brake and we could be life long friends...oh don't forget the cars and game modes thx. - ipad2 5.sumthin no lag flawless play

While I'm sure many would say the storyline is a bit thin and the objective is two dimensional, you cannot deny this game is overflowing with playability. Perfect fit for the iPad!. If you're like me, you hate virtual analog sticks and other inferior control schemes that are meant to play games that have no business appearing on a touch screen. Fortunately, the guys behind Reckless Getaway are smart enough to adapt every aspect of the top-down vehicular mayhem genre to fit to the format. Buy without fear!

Nice game. This game is enjoyable for spending a few minutes or even a few hours when you have some time to kill. It kind of reminds me that old arcade game APB that was a hit back the late 80's. It isn't too complex though I wish there was an option to allow you to steer by using the iPad as a wheel. In any case, no regrets from me. You'll really love the stage where you commandeer a massive bank truck and go on a wrecking spree.

Great Game, BIG bug. I was playing and got what should of been a detour but the game just kept running on and I could see the whole rest of the level. Then when the course ended the screen went black. Overall, I give this game four stars. You'll see five because I won't count the bug in the rating.

Pleasantly surprised!. I am pleasantly surprised by this game. I was unsure of buying it at the beginning especially at a 3 dollar price but I have enjoyed it a lot since getting it! The controls are great and perfectly balanced and the graphics and physics are great too! If you are even considering purchasing this I think you should take the chance. I did and it was worth it.

Really Addicting.. I've purchased quite a few driving games I hopes that it would "the one". So far they're all really boring. Except this one. Just when I thought "oh man it would be cool if they had a semi that would plow through police cars"... Bam there it was. So much fun. Just get it.

Fast paced / addicting. Awesome graphics. Smooth play (even on my iPad 1) and very addicting. It's also challenging so you don't just go through every stage really quick. I like that you can go off road and make your own paths as well. Every try is a little bit different. Highly recommend!

Best racing game but..... This is better than need for speed. This Is an awesome game for free. It combines my favorite elements of need for speed and grand theft auto into a easy to play iPhone app. My only complaint is the button graphics and fonts and pretty much all graphic that don't have to actually do with gameplay look pretty cheap. For example the gradient on te pause button. But that's a minor complaint and overall this game is sick.

Pretty good. Solid game controls. Wish there was a break control as I sometimes tapped above the right turn button to try and slow down in some areas hoping to avoid wrecks. Game makes you work hard to unlock levels which ends up with you playing the same lower levels over and over again until you get the needed number of stars.

Pretty good. Quality is great, gameplay is great as well. Personally I find this game hard to beat. I always go for four stars. I've read in other reviews that it is repetitive. It's about as repetitive as any other game. There's a set of rules, goals, rewards, and limitations that are well balanced if not challenging. All in all it's fun. I also like angry birds and tower defense - so you can get an idea of where I'm coming from.

Very FUN, needs a little bit more to get it to Angry Birds status. Great game worth the money, but needs variety, maybe a selection of different cars, levels of difficulty, cop mode would be really fun as well. But other than what I WOULD want.. the game is very well made, fun and can be difficult to get all the stars in some cases and thats what has me coming back to play it. One of my favs on the APP STORE!

Pretty good!. It's a fun game that I'll be playing for a while. The only thing I wish was different was being able to customize the getaway car but that's just because I like being able to do that. The game is fun and simple I like the reckless mode where you crash through traffic in a semi truck!

The name "Reckless" lives up to its brand. I bought this game based on Pixelbite's spectacular "Reckless Racing" which in my opinion, is the best game for the iPad next to "Dead Space". With the bar set so high, it wouldn't be fair to compare "Getaway" to "Racing". Let's just say, both are great games based on their own. P.S. Just like "Racing", "Getaway" requires some tweaking of the controls. Experiment and use what works best for you. Once you get used to it, you'll have a blast.

Great!!! Can be greater!. 4.5 stars really. I love racing games. And I love racing games that involve destroying things. This is such a fun and entertaining racing game. Worth the dollar. The graphics are good, can't complain. The levels could be a bit longer and it would be awesome if there were vehicle options or weapon additions to the car. But other than that I'm enjoying blowing up cop cars.

Fun - gameplay needs some tweaks. Let me start by saying this is a really well done game with great gameplay and decent control. This is like a really modern slot car game in a way... However... simply put, it's too hard to advance. I'm not saying it should be extremely easy, but rather than requiring peak performance to advance levels, I think it would be a lot better if one could advance to new levels easier, but higher scores earned upgrades such as opening "side routes", reverse routes, powerups, and new vehicles or weapons. Also could really use some different race types. That said, if these guys make more racing games with these physics and controls, they are going to be one of my go-to places to read about what's next. Really looking forward to more!

Also you should get coins and be able to buy things with money like new power ups, new cars, new levels, possibly even mini games! also, please make a two player mode like racer to cop. Needs update. This game is sooooo awesome i love it so much!!!!!!! It has amazing graphics and features but it needs an update like different police cars maybe a city setting or maybe even a submarine as a vehicle and the underwater police subs chase u through atlantis and adventure through the deep sea

Havoc and many ways addict!. It's a rather relaxing game and yet the game style is not too speedy. Lots of intense actions and many wipeout to get! Only way to survive trough the pursuit is to drive recklessly smart. So far the battery consumption is good. About 25% life for good 2 hours of fun! Please add the multiplayer function or this game will go down into drain just like many other hit title.

not quite the smash hit.... i LOVED reckless racing. but reckless getaway leaves me wanting. don't get me wrong, the controls, car handling/physics are equally second to none as are the graphics. and it being a universal app is commandable. but either the car is too fast and/or far too easily wrecked... or it's just the style of the gameplay that makes my face fall asleep. where reckless racing had far too few tracks, getaway has far too many. i've had enough after about 5-7 tracks...

I bought it quite a while ago and was anxious for a new update, now that it is here, I am saddened. I bought the app already and I am not going to spend another dollar for an update on this game. For instance angry birds space has had 3 updates that did not cost me any more money. This $$ thing to get new levels is evil and predatory. Too bad really as I really like the game

AAA mobile title.... This is one of the best mobile titles I have ever played. Controls are different than "reckless racing" which is another title this company makes. Both of these are action games which are fun enough to compete with console or PC style games. Sound is AAA, effects are AAA, gameplay is AAA, polish is AAA, physics are AAA and so is the performance on 4th generation Apple devices or iPads. If you like action games this one will not be disappointing.

One of the best apps made to this date!. I'm so glad I got this game on the FreeAppADay. I'm not one to pay for apps because I usualy get bored with them after awhile, but I would have bought this if it was not free for that day. I recomend this game to everyone who like driving and destruction games. It's endless fun!

Improvements. This game is one of the few super awesome games. Graphics are amazing. Gameplay amazing. One problem is that after you play this game for like 4 weeks it tends to be the same Thing over and over. What will really help is I there was a survival mode to see how long you can go without wrecking and cop numbers are gaining. This will help people like the game more so they can compare with friends. Overall great game!
