Really Fun TS Shooter!. If you’re looking for some fast paced action with excellent gameplay look no further. Xenowerk really is a blast to play. Don’t expect a deep plot or character development, but that’s not needed for this to work. Just really fun gameplay and a good weapon progression to keep you coming back for more.

Gets boring fast. This game has all the right ingredients. Amazing, smooth 3d graphics. Great explosions and repulsive mutants. But where this fame misses it is the it really goes nowhere. Despite upgrading weapons and hazmat suit a couple times and playing it for several weeks, I found that each level is about the same as the previous ones. Yes it gets harder. There's nothing really new and exciting enough to sustain interest. Great potential. Developers, plz tweak and get some ideas from the Implosion play book.

Boring and repetitive.. First the good. Xenowerk is a very well crafted shooter with lots of unlocks and great controls. That’s about it. It’s like they laid the perfect groundwork for a perfect mobile top down shooter and then gave up. There are no missions, the levels are repetitive (you play the same level 25 times and then you go to a new stage which is almost identical to the previous ones) There’s just nothing that keeps me coming back to this game. I recently finished space marshals and JYDGE. Which were very similar except they were full, challenging, mission based games I hope xenowerk comes out with a sequel that uses their excellent game mechanics for an actual game

Good but needs work. It isn't a bad game but a pretty good game with issues. The floating camera is awkward at best. It tends to get stuck at odd angles all too often. The controls are really tough to try to get used to. Put the controls together with the camera and it becomes frustrating. The levels could be deeper, so are too short and pretty repetitive. So 3 out of 5 for me.

Solid mobile gaming experience. This game is a great mobile experience. Good graphics, relatively smooth gameplay, no advertisements, just a good game. The full game would definitely be worth more than what they’re asking for it. My only complaints would be that the camera angle just feels odd at times. It would be nice if it just naturally followed at a convenient angle rather than getting all tangled up and pointed in a weird direction when you turn, moving could feel a little less clunky and navigating around furniture in rooms could be a little more effortless.

I love this game!. It’s such a joy to play, it loads instantly and feels smooth. I also like the space marshal series. Please keep it up!

Horrible camera leaves you confused and turned around.. Honestly the core gameplay seems really great, though seems like it’d get repetitive future updates can address that. But the camera movement is god awful. Just make the camera static or locked behind the character or something. It slowly sways back and forth as you turn and move unless you’re also firing. That drives me insane, it’s quite unbearable. And all the rooms aren’t that different so it’s super easy to get lost and turned around even on these short levels.

Fun mobile twin stick shooter. If you want something like Alien Swarm or Smash TV on your iPhone or iPad then I highly recommend this game. The missions are just small burst missions so it's well suited for portable gameplay. Really solid graphics for mobile. I highly recommend it.

Good game but could be better. The game was good until I had to pay 2 dollars for the game to get the full version I didn’t I deleted the game. The developers should make the full version free but a lot of purchases to get good weapons that would make the ratings on the game a lot better.

Animation good but lacks fun. All this is to say that although the animation is good just running around and shooting mutants wasn’t what I gestated nine months in utero to waste my breathe doing. There’s not a lot of challenge here, nor excitement. Animation is cool and some of the character design catches my fancy. The main lil easy-to-kill mutant’s character design is my faves. Y’all could try this game out if you want. No one but you decides if that’s to be ur fate but hey I played it so you don’t have to and gotta say not gonna waste my precious time on this game as it makes me real bored. I must say however that tbh I didn’t play it long. May get better with more play. But honestly why bother. If the game ur playing doesn’t spark joy within the first half hour, why play it? I see these other comments saying they recycled elements from another game. I have no proof to back this up but that’s what there saying. I am inclined to believe them on this one. Why would guys and gals just come up with this stuff simultaneously unless A) they are involved in a practical joke with one another or B) it’s true? I’m inclined to believe the latter but y’all do y’all. No campaign is being raised so that you play or neglect to play this game. Have a good one. Bye.

More. Amazing game to begin with. More basic content like more facilities to play and different new weapons which isn’t similar to the others. Also, timed missions or safety missions like guarding someone of something.

Great stand alone game. His game is easy to get the hang of, fun to master, and has none of the hang ups that freemium games do. I've had it for a few days and have already made it quite far. I already feel like I've gotten my money's worth out of this title.

Great dual-stick shooter.. If you played Space Marshall’s, or the sequel, and wanted more out of it and not just a stealth shooter, this is the game for you. Great graphics and smooth gameplay. A must buy for any iOS gamer.

Fun but.... I just wish there was actual BOSSES and WAAAAYYYY more enemies, lastly, I would enjoy a proper ending and make it more entertaining to progress through different areas with harder enemies....these "problems" make the game kinda boring but whatever.

Top-Notch Dread-Full Sci-Fi Fun. Great shoot-em up! There's a lot of replay value playing trying to 3-Nuke everything. Finding powered up weapons changes up otherwise monotonous levels so every grind feels fresh. Tight corridor's and the camera angle adds fear reminiscent of the old Resident Evil games. I need to unlock every gun to really appreciate all the ways you can clear a stage.

Loving it!. This game is the first good shooter I've played on my iPad in quite some time. Controls are very fluid. Gameplay is great. Replaying completed levels is every bit as fun as the very first time they are played. Graphics are also very impressive for a mobile device based game.

Amazing Game. This game is one of the best games I have ever played and it is super addicting. I have only been playing for 20m but I am a huge fan of this game. If you re looking at the reviews to see if it’s a good game, get it. This is a super fun game.

Best Twin Stick Shooter so far, Amazing Game. This game is incredibly fun. Amazingly responsive and precise controls (both touchscreen and MFI controller), beautiful graphics, nice animations, great enemies and enemy variety, tons of armors and weapons to unlock, nice power sets to add variety and tactics, immersive sounds, and a great scoring/unlock system that has you seeking kill sprees for the bonus points. The only twin stick shooters that come close to this game in fun and quality are the same developers Space Marshals 1 and 2 and the two Halo games (Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike). I love and recommend all five. For how little all five cost, you can't go wrong (I've had more fun with each of them than with games that cost 2 or 3 (or in the case of Xenowerk, 10 times) as much). All five games work great with touchscreen controls, but all five are even better with an external MFI controller, so thank you to the developer for including controller support.

Was pretty decent but stopped working right. This whole security level section is seriously unrewarding, the red flashes block most ability to tell what aliens and weapons are doing, controls stop pointing the right direction, and all that effort yields next to no coins. And there’s no way to contact the developer.

Cool but every lvl is the same. It’s got the right idea for a game. It can be very fun but it gets boring quickly because of the same old features. You think you’re gonna see or run into something new but your wrong because the maps are all the same just different scenarios. Is there going to be an update anytime soon? I can see this game being popular but, like i said, it needs to have new outcomes and make new missions. I've also noticed the laziness put into the game on how you can play the same section and restart it but its an entirely different map. I mean, come on. At least make a certain section remain to be the same map every time you go to play it. Lol. But like i said, fun game.

Phenomenal (Will it ever be free?). I played the first part for free and it was amazing. I would love to buy the rest but it seemed kind of short. It only took me about an hour to beat the first chapter and I only saw maybe 5 more chapters. Are you going to add more? If not is this game ever going to be free?

Just Pure Shooting Fun. I bought this game when it was new on the App Store and played through all the levels. Then they added more. Played through those and they added more! It’s been a while since they added anything because they put out other games like Space Marshall 1 & 2. There is another Xenowerk game but really it’s a completely new game and shares none of the characteristics of this one which I like much more. I love this game because even after I played it it’s still fun to run through the hardest levels shooting at things. I went through a tough break up and played this every day to work through my emotions as silly as that seems. It very relaxing to just power through different levels. Grab different weapons and use different strategies to kill the big brains that are everywhere in the later levels. The controls are the best I’ve used on a tablet or phone. It’s just a lot of fun. There’s kind of a story but this is not a story heavy game. It’s a third person shooter and your character just wants to keep her job. Help her. Dev, I’d love to see a version 2 with new environments and weapons.

Addicting!!. This game is fun as hell 👍 Usually don't enjoy too many games on the app store so this was a surprise. Better than the devs very own Space Marshals titles. Reason being this game is all gameplay. With superb shooting and good graphics.

EXTREMELY FUN STICK SHOOTER!!!!!. This is such an addicting game!!! It’s not one of the typical “cash grabs” apps where you have to grind for DAYS in order to play with the fun weapons. BEAUTIFUL graphics and extremely fun gameplay with pinpoint accuracy. The missions are pretty standard, but this is a game where the mission objectives don’t need to be creative. I love the tender loving care poured into this game. WORTH EVERY PENNY!

👌🏼. Xenowerk is definitely worth the .99. Kinda like space marshals but better controls and faster paced. Some new maps would be cool. Or IAP for more maps. Great game! Thank you!

Excellent, with MFi support. Great game, addictive and fun with excellent MFi support (I have a Nimbus). It does get repetitive, but the many weapon and other upgrades help keep it interesting for a good long while. If you'd like more of a stealth, or slightly puzzle oriented game check out this developer's other offerings (ie Space Marshals).

Impressive. It’s kind of unbelievable this is a mobile game. It’s super smooth and flashy, and it has a ton of weapons to upgrade. It reminds me of the old iOS game Meltdown, only a little less challenging and a whole lot more advanced.

Got boring after a while. After going through most of the levels and shooting monsters, it really goes nowhere, and had no real drawback for me to come back to the game. Maybe a story, or better settings would provide more entertainment but, after a while a dark broken down hospital doesn’t want me to keep playing this game. I don’t even remember how much I paid for this but it wasn’t worth it.

Great game!!. It is definitely a great game with a very good graphics but the sound tracks could have been better!

Where to start?. I really wanted to like this game but it’s such a mess so I’ll keep it brief. First and probably worst is the camera. The camera angle button is right above your movement button which means the only way to switch angles is to stop moving. Not good for a shoot ‘em up game. The levels all look EXACTLY the same. Had I known I’d be playing the same 10 levels again after after chapter 1 I definitely wouldn’t have paid any money for the rest of the game. The aliens are also all exactly the same and often hard to distinguish from the backgrounds and environments. No thought at all was put into character or level design. And how about the other modes? There are no other modes. This game has zero replay ability because there’s nothing to accomplish and nothing to keep you coming back. Pass on this one

Have been playing this on and off for a few months. It is a great way to burn brain cells. I play when I want to zone out for a bit. It is very relaxing to blow monsters away to bits..

What a bargain.. Hit a floor, kill mutants, get cash, buy better weapons, kill stronger mutants. Easy pick up and go game, and no annoying in-app purchases. Well, I guess there are, but you really don't need them. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Still No Full iCloud Support. I really enjoy this game; it’s one of the first games I downloaded when the App Store came to tvOS in 2015… which is where my problem lies: full iCloud support has never been brought to this game (a.k.a. the tv version does not sync with the iPhone/iPad version of the game. So, if you start a game on tvOS, you have to start all over on iOS/iPadOS, and vice versa). I was really hoping – seven years later – this would have been resolved by now. But, I still enjoy the game, nonetheless.

Won’t load. So I’ve had this game for years and it’s extremely fun, but at some point it stopped loading and never went past the start up loading screen. I don’t know if this is a problem with the later versions of iOS, with the game, or with my phone itself, but it’s extremely annoying because I do really enjoy the game. I hope you can fix this problem soon.

Just one problem. The only real issue I have with this game is that there aren’t MORE. More levels, sequels, even copycat games. Dual stick shooters are great and pixelbite hit a home run with this. Would love to see a bit more variety and story line. This seems like a really great mini game concept. I’d happily pay for a full blown game with new environments, puzzles, story, challenges.

What a GREAT update; Fix it PixelBite. Ok— This game is fun, for some people- but it is very repetitive, weapons feel the same, and there are only like 5 different mutants- which is total garbage, all floors feel the same- But I have a HUGE problem that completely ruined my experience. The game updated and now you have to pay to play. I should’ve been able to further play because one of my family members bought it, but instead Pixelbite hit the ground running with MY money. Please make this game free to play and you might earn a LOT of 5 stars- I’m sure the community would agree with me.

Grins Grind Grind. Solid game but gets really grindy at the end, the brain snails are extremely cheap and they almost always kill you before you see them unless you have the best armor and the best guns. It basically comes down to spending $30 of real money or 60 hours grinding the easy levels to get enough money to get better gear to earn a better rating on the hard missions to unlock even better gear.

The game great BUT!. The game great but the most annoying part is when my health bar is low the flashing is so annoying can you make it stop after like 10 sec also I think it would be more fun if you could play with your friends and add FPP.

A little buggy. A good game but occasionally the left part of the screen goes black while I can still hear my character getting beaten up. Of course it always happens when the level is going well. Only escape is to force quit and start the level over. I have a 12.9 inch iPad Pro 4th gen, so I don’t think my hardware is underpowered. If they fix this i would call it five stars...

What all mobile games should be. Great graphics, gameplay, and controls. IAPs are TRULY optional. Play as much as you want. More please! Thank you Pixelbite for creating a game for true gamers. I encourage all players to purchase at least one In App Purchase to support this developer so they can make more games for us. I also encourage all mobile gamers to STOP supporting the greedy developers who load their games with paywalls.

Super fun!. I read a review where someone said it got old fast well I don’t think that’s true. I’m leveling up my armor and weapons and the beasts keep getting harder. I’m having a blast. One of the best top down shooters by far!

Premium & Polished. A fantastic twin-stick shooter with excellent gameplay & graphics. Levels are bite-sized = perfect for mobile play; I appreciate full iCloud sync support. The level design & missions are a bit repetitive, but the game is non-stop arcade action! Would love to see a SURVIVAL mode / new enemies or levels in a future update (or sequel).

Alien Swarm Mobile. Xenowerk is an excellent game in its own right, although it bears an uncanny resemblance to the free to play, PC exclusive Alien Swarm. Levels are short, played from a top-down perspective and rewards you for clearing rooms and floors quickly. Gets grindy toward the end, but it’s all skill and no pay to win.

Very fun game, not unfair or unfun pay to play only game. This is one of those great mobile games I can’t believe exists still. It loads fast, it runs smooth, it has great graphics and it’s not too expensive for the great gameplay. I rarely rate apps, almost never rate games, and never rate games highly. This is a truly fantastic mobile game. The developers aren’t the usual cesspool I’m used to seeing in ios gaming.

Great game. Great graphics.. Just bought this game and played for 2hrs straight. Graphics are awesome, environment is interactive and you don't need to spend money to to finish the game. So good.

Paid for full game. I have no idea why.. So what did I get for buying full game?? Lol literally nothing. Please tell me what I unlocked for doing this? Pretty crappy I’m not rewarded with any credits at all.

Fix the viewpoint. I really struggle with the rotating viewpoint. And unlimited armour is really boring. I'm a big fan of space marshals but guys, don't expect you this to be a Space Marshal 2, it won't be.

Movement/shoot issues. Trying to target/shoot is insanely hard and frustrating beyond measure on an IPhone 6 not sure if it a bug or game feature, liked the style and graphics shame really game now un-installed.

Awesome game!. Brilliant 3rd person shooter! Reminds of a similar game on Steam. I would suggest more levels increasing in difficulty, additional skills such as using bombs and traps. Multiplayer would be a very nice addition to this game. I hope updates come frequently to this game. Keep up the good work guys.

Love it. This is the best game I have seen yet it is well worth the money spent it has a well made control system that takes a few mins to get used to but it’s by far the best

HONEST REVIEW. This is my honest review of this game...and what can I say? This game is FANTASTIC, the visuals are sick, the plot is straightforward, the gameplay is like the old school run-and-gun style, the controls are smooth and enjoyable, and the whole concept is something quite new. The only downside to this game is the paywall, which also locks the rest of the campaign. I understand that you developers need the profit, but I’m suggesting that you make the campaign free, but then add a DLC or extension story lines to the game. I’m sure the is will attract much more people. There are so much possibilities you can do with this game, so here are some of my own suggestions: 1. Add co-op mode The idea of partnering up with another player and walking into a room guns up and blaring just makes we so excited. 2. Add editor mode Editor mode: basically a sandbox mode where people can create their own maps. Just imagine what people can with it, maybe they’ll make a huge maze filled with enemies? 3. Add more characters Currently we only have a female character (nothing sexist here), It would be pretty cool if you could implement a male or also a robot character. They could even have their own unique abilities! This is all I have to say, don’t give up on this game! There are many cool things you could still do with it.

Boring and bad POV. I didn't like the view point and the game was a boring point and shoot. Nothing like space marshals which I loved.

Game crashes. Can't get past Military Branch floor 5/20 It simply locks up after about 1 minute into the level. I am using version 1.2.1 No option inside game to report bugs / problems Extra feedback - there needs to be more variety of monsters, perhaps start with less and then build up upon the different types ? Lots of maps are the same and having same maps and same monsters makes game a lot more repetitive and boring. It's still worth paying for the game but it could be so much better.

Fun almost free game. I downloaded this game on my S7 and I loved it . It looked great and it looks even better on my Air 2. Just a game with great graphics that I expect to be the discussed later. I love it!

Fun but..... All the levels are basically the same - it's a fun game to go blasting all the mutants but there's not enough variety. Needs to be more different types of monsters and the levels need to be more different to one another. I completed the whole game in less than a week - yeah it was fun but could be a LOT better

Fun but gets old. This is an amazing game the levels are well crafted. It is a fun an enjoyable game but after playing it gets old it would be a great idea to add multiplayer coop, different characters each with their own unique perks and different missions and scenarios

Excellent game - more levels please!!!!. Runs perfectly on my iPad 3. Weapons are generally pretty good, although I ponied up for the advance pay to get a better gun right from the start as it takes most of the game to upgrade it to full power. More levels would be good, and some new aliens. Great fun and loved playing it.

Miss. Great graphics, but repetitive and no variety! Levels get bit harder which is good, levels and mutants are the same every single level.

Crashes & Deletes all progress!. After putting a great deal of time into this game, it crashed and deleted everything I had done. All my money and levels were gone and I was back at square one! Very frustrating game.

The completionist.. This game is very fun and incredibly well created. But I am ridiculous and try to 3 star levels in most games (with star systems). But it is incredibly challenging you have to be like perfect aka get perfect kill streaks. I would suggest to play it and not complete it.

The game is a good game, the floors and the objectives are fun, however once you complete the first floor you have to pay to play the rest of the game, wich honestly, it makes sense, it’s a good money move but why not instead, make the good gear like perfect gear for most of the levels cost money and the rest of the game free so that way there you’ll also gain more players and your game overall will make more money...or even something like that.

One of the best looking games on iOS. This is definitely one of the best looking games on iOS. Particularly the lighting. Although this is on an iPad Air 2. I don't know how it looks on older devices that don't support the Metal graphics API. Game in general feels very well polished with no crashes (despite what some other reviewer on an horribly outdated device says).

After the new update.... I would give this game higher review if the resolution wasn't so low. I am playing on an iPod touch 6. Please fix this. Other than that, this is a shooter.

One of my iOS fav’s. I love this genre, and this does it better then almost all others on iOS. Also check out Space Marshal’s 2! Taxing on the battery but visually fantastic.

Restore Purchases. Love the game, cleared it before the update. Now I've lost everything. I purchased armor, and a lot of guns. It's all gone. Please create a restore function.

Doesn't open. Can't play this game at all. Just shows the xenowork start page and that's it

Really good. Good graphics, good control, the only negative point the game is repetitive

Good but could be great. First, the gameplay is pretty fun, though at times repetitive, it's fun to see how much you can destroy in a kill streak. Problem is, there's only 3 levels (with multiple stages). I felt like I just got by best gun and armour and then the game was done. More levels with more ways around those levels would be great. I also wish the weapon levelling up made it do more things like shoot more or whatever. Attempting to get 3 stars for all the levels is very low replayability. I keep checking for new levels but there never seem to be.

Pretty Good. It's graphics are good and the concept is terrific. With a lot of levels and unlockables it seems like the perfect game for sci-fi enthusiasts, however it's a bit laggy and repetitive. A few tweaks is all it needs to become a must have, right now I'd still recommend it if you like sci-fi and adventure.

Lovely design.. Amazing looking game with minute attention to the smallest details. Lovingly rendered and fast paced, well worth the pittance to have such a cool, mini-world to spread the damage in, the extermination of the invading mutant vermin interlopers. Lighting & shadows give this little title a surprising depth of fun and distraction. Did I say how clean and tight it looks? Yeah, guess I did...

All levels are the same.... Every level is just like the previous one, even the same place for each task...so boring

A hunter, their gun, and the mutant who dislikes both. There is something to be said for a game that understands its core premise. Grab a weapon, go into a dark and dangerous place and shoot monsters. There isn't a story to clog things up, and I say that as some one who loves stories in games, there isn't a lot of subtext. You have two guns, no go in there and clean out the level before moving to the next one. My only quibble is more that the map is found through the pause button rather than being displayed on the screen. I'm not sure if it's because I am playing the game on a iPad mini 2, or because it's never visible, but some help with the layout when I'm moving about would have been appreciated. But then again, it would spoil some of the surprise of things coming out of the dark.

Great game!!!. It is a good game love the graphics the only problem with this game is the aiming but in space marshals it was a lot more simple to aim but other than that great game

Controls. The controls need to be fixed. If I’m shooting towards the enemy it turns me around now I have to put the enemy on the only place it aims

Brilliant game. I just started playing and i’m already inlove with the gameplay and art style, my only complaint is i wish you had a little bit higher view distance but thats really it otherwise the game is amazing

Cool top down shooter. This game runs beautifully on my iPad mini. I am a sucker for this type of games and this one does not disappoint. It has nice graphics and it is fun to play. I like it a lot.

I want to give this game 5 stars. I love this game, its probably my fault for trying to run it on an iPhone 7. It can’t handle it when I use power ups and I have that one gun that ricochets everywhere.

Basic Shooter. Straight forward top down shooter. If you want to shoot monsters with big guns this is as good a game as any.

Bad game. There is very little level and enemy variety, it's way to easy at first, and then it gets way to hard, and it's a pain in neck to use power-ups.

Best iOS shooter I've played. This is a great game and well worth the price of admission if you like to shoot-and-run. It says there are in-app purchases but I haven't seen any reference to them in the game and there are also no ads. This game is pure and simple slaughterfest with fun guns and challenging levels. Only gets boring if you're very good or very bad. Highly recommend

Do not update for iPhone X. If you have an iPhone X, do not update. This latest patch broke the playability. Some controls are not reachable not and the screen is not fully in view!

Gets unrealistic as u progress.. The security floors are timed kills. U need to finish a complete floor in 3 minutes or die. This timed challenge is highly unrealistic since the aliens are very hard to kill. I am stuck on the same floor for 3 hours Now. This is where I decided to stop playing this unrealistic game.

Best gore/splatter game for iOS. Hands down the best game I own. The levels are a bit repetitive, but with the upgrades in firepower, and the blizzard of Xeno-guts, you won't mind a bit.

Decent twin-stick shooter. It isn’t very complex, and it doesn’t do anything creative with the isometric shooter formula, but it’s an adequate game where you mow down mutants.

A lot of fun. Once you unlock the flamethrower this game gets really good. Slashing and burning the mutants is a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

Good for a bit. Not balanced.. Difficulty does not ramp up well. Ends the experience too soon. Still enjoyed it but sad i got too frustrated to continue.

This is a rip-off. This game is actually Space Marshals with the story gutted and no story added, the animations are re used and models re textured. It’s a shame the apple store lets scams like this get through. The developers should be embarrassed.

Well made. This was a 4* game to me at first but after getting a nimbus controller the game has greatly improved to me. Fun stuff!
